Kaptur Injured in Hit-and-Run | Columbus News
Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, the longest-serving woman in Congress, was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash while en route to church with her campaign manager. The 80-year-old Ohio Democrat suffered wounds but is recovering quickly, thanks in part to the summer recess giving her time to heal. Her 26-year-old campaign manager also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The fleeing driver left behind a Nissan Altima, and authorities are still investigating.
