- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to the Mums Group you actually want
- 0:05Speaker 1: to be a part of. I'm Amy Torber and I'm
- 0:08Speaker 1: joined by my sisters and journalists, Kate and Sophie. Now, Sophie,
- 0:12Speaker 1: there was a lot of anticipation around Brandon's speech at
- 0:15Speaker 1: your son Luca's first birthday, which was over the weekend.
- 0:18Speaker 1: We've obviously listened to this podcast and also he's been
- 0:21Speaker 1: present at your son's birthdays and he knows that the
- 0:24Speaker 1: dad really has to step up and prove how appreciative
- 0:28Speaker 1: they are of their wife for basically giving up their
- 0:31Speaker 1: whole first year to their child. Yeah, I saw all
- 0:33Speaker 1: of the phones were poised. They were pointed in his direction.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I had my camera out and I was like, do
- 0:38Speaker 1: I take photos or do I film? Look, I actually
- 0:40Speaker 1: set my little camera up and I filmed the whole
- 0:42Speaker 1: thing because I thought it was like real old school
- 0:44Speaker 1: just to have, you know, a speech and the discussions
- 0:46Speaker 1: in the background. I'm excited you did because I didn't
- 0:49Speaker 1: hear the call up that everyone was doing speeches. So
- 0:52Speaker 1: I was outside talking to my best friend and my
- 0:55Speaker 1: brother-in-law rushes out and goes, you know, the speeches are happening.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I was like, no, because As you said, there's been
- 0:59Speaker 1: so much anticipation, like what's Brandon going to say? Now,
- 1:03Speaker 1: as a teaser to the Mums Group listeners, he actually cried. Yes,
- 1:07Speaker 1: but it's not what you think. So Brandon has been known,
- 1:10Speaker 1: and I'm sorry because I know Brandon is listening, but
- 1:12Speaker 1: you have been known to beautifully shed tears in other
- 1:16Speaker 1: big events. So obviously at your wedding. Brandon cried and
- 1:19Speaker 1: he also cried at his sister's 30th birthday giving a
- 1:23Speaker 1: speech too. Oh, that's really sweet. And I think he
- 1:25Speaker 1: cried at our engagement party. So he is one to
- 1:27Speaker 1: wear his heart on his sleeve. That is absolutely gorgeous.
- 1:30Speaker 1: But the issue is he didn't cry over you, which
- 1:32Speaker 1: is what some listeners might be thinking. He said he did.
- 1:36Speaker 1: He said he was just feeling quite emotional about everything
- 1:39Speaker 1: and the sacrifices that I've made. But also he was
- 1:42Speaker 1: a bit upset because, you know, listeners will know that
- 1:45Speaker 1: we actually cancelled We postponed Luca's birthday a couple of
- 1:48Speaker 1: weeks ago because Amy's son Harry was struck down with gastro.
- 1:52Speaker 1: We were worried we were going to get gastro. We
- 1:54Speaker 1: thought we'll pull the pin early so we don't waste
- 1:56Speaker 1: any money on the catering and the balloons, et cetera. Anyway,
- 1:59Speaker 1: morning of, you can't fucking write the script for this.
- 2:02Speaker 1: We get a phone call. 8am from Brandon's sister saying
- 2:06Speaker 1: that their son is sick. And you're just like, oh
- 2:08Speaker 1: my God, because then I felt guilty. I'm like, well,
- 2:10Speaker 1: we've cancelled the party over one cousin. Well, you can't
- 2:12Speaker 1: pull the pin the morning of. Like everything was set up,
- 2:15Speaker 1: all the food was ready to go. I know, but
- 2:16Speaker 1: it was just so disappointing because it would have been
- 2:18Speaker 1: so lovely for him to be there. So I completely
- 2:20Speaker 1: understand why Brandon would have been emotional not having a sister.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So he started tearing up when he was talking about
- 2:25Speaker 1: the connection that Luca has with his cousins. But it
- 2:27Speaker 1: was quite funny because He started to say, oh, we
- 2:30Speaker 1: just wish that Jim could be here. And then he
- 2:32Speaker 1: started to cry. But my relatives who have never met
- 2:34Speaker 1: my nephew, Jimmy, and only know him as James, were like,
- 2:38Speaker 1: they were like to each other, who's Jim? Is it
- 2:40Speaker 1: a grandparent that's passed away? Yeah, I could hear them
- 2:42Speaker 1: and I was trying to whisper, it's his nephew.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So we sort of needed a bit of a disclaimer
- 2:49Speaker 1: there as to what went on. But I actually think
- 2:51Speaker 1: that he did a beautiful job of the speech. I
- 2:53Speaker 1: actually had to cut in because Brandon was that overwhelmed
- 2:56Speaker 1: and thank him. I thought I did a pretty nice
- 2:57Speaker 1: job too. The whole event was beautiful. I thanked you
- 3:00Speaker 1: guys as well.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Yeah, you did.
- 3:01Speaker 1: I appreciated that. I was there at the back of
- 3:03Speaker 1: the crowd when I heard that one. I have to
- 3:05Speaker 1: talk about my cake because there's been a lot of
- 3:07Speaker 1: talk about the Woman's Weekly. I did opt for the
- 3:09Speaker 1: farm cake in that book. I didn't actually have a
- 3:11Speaker 1: piece of it. It was very simple. I made a
- 3:14Speaker 1: greens vanilla cake. Wait a sec. Greens? Why would you
- 3:17Speaker 1: go with the greens? They're the best ones. They're the
- 3:19Speaker 1: best ones. Anyway, I really like those ones. I find
- 3:22Speaker 1: they're particularly moist even though I detest that word. Anyway,
- 3:25Speaker 1: so I was– everything was– you know when everything's running
- 3:28Speaker 1: too smoothly? And I made the cake during Lucas' nap time. I–
- 3:32Speaker 1: Brandon then looked after him whilst I went and got
- 3:34Speaker 1: the food and the balloons, rushed around getting all this
- 3:36Speaker 1: last minute shit from the shops, got back home. It
- 3:39Speaker 1: was then Brandon's time to sort of sit and relax
- 3:41Speaker 1: for a bit. And I thought, oh, I'll keep an
- 3:42Speaker 1: eye on Luca whilst he's in the kitchen whilst also
- 3:44Speaker 1: doing the icing. Big fucking mistake. I haven't even told
- 3:48Speaker 1: you this, Kate. So I'm there with the hand beaters.
- 3:50Speaker 1: All of a sudden, Luca goes forward. Somehow the beaters
- 3:53Speaker 1: get knocked on the ground. Oh, my God. Where do
- 3:56Speaker 1: you think Luca goes forward? Where was he? I don't
- 3:57Speaker 1: even know. Were you holding him? No, I was sort
- 3:59Speaker 1: of just letting him teach her around in the kitchen,
- 4:01Speaker 1: which was a mistake. He likes to sort of practice
- 4:04Speaker 1: walking in there. Anyway. So he's on the ground. The
- 4:06Speaker 1: beaters have fallen to the ground. My God, they turned off.
- 4:09Speaker 1: But there's fucking butter icing everywhere. My dog, who we
- 4:13Speaker 1: don't allow to have any food but his pancreatitis safe food,
- 4:16Speaker 1: immediately walks into the room. The icing, the butter icing
- 4:19Speaker 1: is splattered everywhere.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Buttercream, please.
- 4:20Speaker 1: Buttercream. He literally got it on his tail. There was
- 4:24Speaker 1: some on his paw and I started screaming because Brandon
- 4:26Speaker 1: wasn't sitting down. Sophie, this is not the disaster that
- 4:28Speaker 1: most people think it was. Can I just finish? Brandon
- 4:31Speaker 1: was in the other room vacuuming and I'm screaming at
- 4:32Speaker 1: the top of my lungs. Brandon! Now, if you were
- 4:35Speaker 1: listening to the mums group for the first time, Sophie
- 4:38Speaker 1: is the most overprotective dog mum. The only person that
- 4:42Speaker 1: rivals how overprotective Sophie is, is Brandon. Oh, it was
- 4:45Speaker 1: funny because everyone's like, where's Archie? And I'm like, he's
- 4:48Speaker 1: actually locked in a room. And they're like, why? He's
- 4:50Speaker 1: such a well-behaved dog. And I'm like, no, it's because
- 4:52Speaker 1: they're scared he's going to eat something from the ground.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Can I finish my story about the icing? Yeah. Just
- 4:56Speaker 1: very quickly. So Butter is literally the worst thing a
- 4:59Speaker 1: dog with a case of pancreatitis in the past can
- 5:01Speaker 1: have because it's pure fat. Like he can't have anything fat.
- 5:04Speaker 1: So I literally was so terrified. Like he went and
- 5:07Speaker 1: sniffed something. Then he started licking his paw. So I
- 5:09Speaker 1: was screaming for Brandon. By this stage, Luca is hysterically crying.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Almost it was like, who? Like I can't leave Arch.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I can't leave him. So I'm screaming at the top
- 5:19Speaker 1: of my... I didn't pick anyone. I didn't pick anyone.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I just... kind of tried to shoo Archie towards the
- 5:25Speaker 1: door anyway. And then Brian was like, what is going
- 5:28Speaker 1: on in here? So we had to give Archie this
- 5:30Speaker 1: full bath, get rid of all of the butter. Oh,
- 5:33Speaker 1: my God. Get the bath in? Well, he had it
- 5:35Speaker 1: all over his paws. What was he coating in the ice?
- 5:37Speaker 1: His paws were coated. That's what chat GPT said to do.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Do you know what was on it? Not a full bath.
- 5:40Speaker 1: What time of night was this? Oh, it was before
- 5:43Speaker 1: Luca's nap. So it was all panic. Well, not his nap,
- 5:45Speaker 1: his nighttime sleep. Did he have a bath with Luca?
- 5:48Speaker 1: no put both of them you know what was hilarious
- 5:50Speaker 1: i got a series of frantic text messages from sophie
- 5:53Speaker 1: explaining this incident that it took i didn't bother to
- 5:56Speaker 1: tell kate because i knew the sympathy levels would be
- 5:58Speaker 1: low and dale was like oh what's this and i
- 6:00Speaker 1: read out the text messages and his reaction was he
- 6:04Speaker 1: just laughed because obviously it seems like a non-event to
- 6:08Speaker 1: someone because a lot of people's dogs just eat their
- 6:11Speaker 1: scraps off their plate. You know what, it's just the
- 6:13Speaker 1: last thing. Or their furniture, like me. You should have
- 6:15Speaker 1: seen the clean-up process, though, that went on after the
- 6:18Speaker 1: birthday party had wrapped up because Harry and I stayed
- 6:21Speaker 1: because Harry had his nap at Soph's house. And your
- 6:24Speaker 1: husband is fantastic with a vacuum cleaner. That's why he's
- 6:26Speaker 1: so tired. It's all because of Archie.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Is that why?
- 6:28Speaker 1: Because I was like, oh, it's very proactive that the
- 6:30Speaker 1: guests are still here and he's vacuuming. I didn't know
- 6:32Speaker 1: if he just wanted to go into labor. Because we
- 6:34Speaker 1: needed to get Archie out because we'd actually set up
- 6:36Speaker 1: the baby monitor in our bedroom where Archie was positioned
- 6:39Speaker 1: to watch Archie to make sure. Because another trigger of
- 6:42Speaker 1: pancreatitis is actually stress. So we were worried he'd get
- 6:45Speaker 1: so stressed. He has separation anxiety. You can't see how
- 6:48Speaker 1: he would have got stressed at all. We need to
- 6:50Speaker 1: also mention our dad's shoes because it was a farm
- 6:55Speaker 1: themed birthday party and dad pulled out some old shoes
- 6:58Speaker 1: he had from the back of his wardrobe that he
- 7:00Speaker 1: said he used to wear. I think it was like,
- 7:02Speaker 1: they probably were like at least 20 years old. Yeah,
- 7:04Speaker 1: he said 20 years old. And he kept telling me
- 7:06Speaker 1: that bits of the shoe were falling apart and I
- 7:08Speaker 1: was kind of like, oh yeah. Anyway, by the end
- 7:10Speaker 1: of the event, He had left a trail of destruction.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Like I thought it was crushed up Oreo on the ground,
- 7:16Speaker 1: but it was literally bits of his shoe. Brandon and
- 7:19Speaker 1: I were freaking out because there were a few kids,
- 7:21Speaker 1: obviously a kid's birthday party. And like, we've got a
- 7:24Speaker 1: white couch and there was like crumbs everywhere. Like on
- 7:27Speaker 1: our white rug, like we've got this white knotted rug.
- 7:30Speaker 1: There was like It was like someone had literally got
- 7:33Speaker 1: cake and then got a hammer and like hammered it
- 7:35Speaker 1: into the rug. Did you have the same thought that
- 7:37Speaker 1: I did immediately after the birthday party that you were
- 7:40Speaker 1: not doing that next year and you were only inviting
- 7:42Speaker 1: a handful of people? Brandon said, we're never fucking doing
- 7:44Speaker 1: this again. He was like... all our nice things getting
- 7:48Speaker 1: destroyed by everyone at the party. It's this real anxiety
- 7:51Speaker 1: where I suppose your house is like your safe place.
- 7:53Speaker 1: And don't get me wrong, I had a lovely time,
- 7:55Speaker 1: but there really is a difference between having a party
- 7:58Speaker 1: when you're having to look after children the whole time.
- 8:00Speaker 1: The best bit was that one of you guys Snapchatted
- 8:02Speaker 1: me after and it was Brandon sitting in the playpen
- 8:04Speaker 1: with disinfectant wipes, wiping every single toy that any other
- 8:07Speaker 1: child had touched. Any guests that are listening that may
- 8:10Speaker 1: have been at the party, Sophie was very happy and
- 8:12Speaker 1: hospitable to have you there. It was really lovely. It
- 8:15Speaker 1: was more just like, because unfortunately the weather wasn't that great.
- 8:19Speaker 1: We were hoping that we could have people outside, but
- 8:21Speaker 1: there was literally like 35 people stuck inside. So that's
- 8:25Speaker 1: why I think that there was a lot more mess.
- 8:27Speaker 1: Like I actually had the best time. Like it was
- 8:29Speaker 1: really lovely, but it's anytime there's kids involved and I
- 8:32Speaker 1: actually felt that you don't have a good time. No, no, no,
- 8:34Speaker 1: that there's mess. And I actually felt very, very vindicated
- 8:36Speaker 1: that Archie wasn't out there. I put Luca on the ground.
- 8:40Speaker 1: He started trying to pick up chips that people had dropped.
- 8:42Speaker 1: There was chocolate cake. Like, just, it was nuts. Dad's
- 8:45Speaker 1: bits of old shoe. Shoe everywhere. Like, it's quite funny
- 8:48Speaker 1: because at our wedding, three people's shoes broke due to
- 8:51Speaker 1: the heat. I think I've mentioned this on the podcast.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Take a shot every time I mention how hot my
- 8:55Speaker 1: wedding was. And I was like, wow, this is quite
- 8:57Speaker 1: fitting that for another, you know, special moment, someone's shoe
- 9:00Speaker 1: has deteriorated. Late last week, Jade Tunci shocked her followers
- 9:04Speaker 1: by announcing she's pregnant with her third child. The OG
- 9:08Speaker 1: influencer is set to have three under three when she
- 9:11Speaker 1: gives birth in January or to be even more specific,
- 9:15Speaker 1: three under two and a half. So her oldest son
- 9:19Speaker 1: Fletcher just turned two in June while her second son
- 9:23Speaker 1: Harvey is seven months old. And just to make the
- 9:26Speaker 1: math even easier for you, Jade was eight months postpartum
- 9:30Speaker 1: with her first when she fell pregnant with her second
- 9:32Speaker 1: and And now only five months postpartum with the third.
- 9:36Speaker 1: I wonder if Indy Clinton has reached out for some
- 9:38Speaker 1: support because she was five months postpartum with her second
- 9:42Speaker 1: when she fell pregnant with her third as well. I
- 9:43Speaker 1: actually saw someone comment on Jade's post, the devil works hard,
- 9:47Speaker 1: but Lockie, her husband works even harder. Yeah. I saw
- 9:49Speaker 1: people being like, how have you even had the time
- 9:52Speaker 1: to be intimate with two under two? Which did make
- 9:55Speaker 1: me laugh. Have you seen Lockie? I mean, I mean,
- 9:57Speaker 1: it's we have seen him in his little jocks I
- 9:59Speaker 1: mean we spoke about his speedos recently didn't we look
- 10:02Speaker 1: but I just if this isn't a sign for my
- 10:07Speaker 1: husband to go and get a vasectomy oh like I
- 10:10Speaker 1: just think no offense because I know a lot of
- 10:12Speaker 1: people do want as many children as they can have
- 10:14Speaker 1: and I love my son more than anything in the
- 10:16Speaker 1: world but The thought of having three children under two
- 10:20Speaker 1: and a half makes me feel sick to my stomach. Like,
- 10:23Speaker 1: could you imagine being pregnant five months postpartum? That's the
- 10:27Speaker 1: thing that bad nightmares are made of. See, I was
- 10:31Speaker 1: shocked when she announced her second pregnancy because I've mentioned
- 10:34Speaker 1: on the podcast before, I was pregnant at the same
- 10:37Speaker 1: time as Jade Tunchi when she had her first. They
- 10:39Speaker 1: were like my son, Jack, and her son, Fletcher were
- 10:42Speaker 1: born a couple of days apart. So I feel like
- 10:44Speaker 1: I've been on the ride with her. And the fact
- 10:46Speaker 1: she's now been pregnant two more times, I'm like, holy shit.
- 10:49Speaker 1: Like I still feel postpartum. I mean, it was, this
- 10:52Speaker 1: sounds like this was an accident. Like it doesn't sound
- 10:54Speaker 1: like it was planned. The way it was announced sort
- 10:56Speaker 1: of made you think that it wasn't planned, but very
- 10:59Speaker 1: much still wanted. So rather than filming her own reaction,
- 11:03Speaker 1: which she did the first time, and there was a
- 11:05Speaker 1: lot of chatter around how people thought she should have
- 11:08Speaker 1: won a Logie. Like people were saying, really, how genuine
- 11:11Speaker 1: was it? This time she shared the moment her husband, Lockie,
- 11:15Speaker 1: found out. That's a good move because, as you said,
- 11:17Speaker 1: people just pull to pieces any time an influencer sets
- 11:21Speaker 1: up a camera to do a pregnancy test because they're like, well,
- 11:23Speaker 1: obviously you knew the result because you set up the camera.
- 11:26Speaker 1: What I loved about this video was just how authentic
- 11:29Speaker 1: it was in terms of like her house was a
- 11:31Speaker 1: complete mess. Like it reminded me of my own. Like
- 11:32Speaker 1: they were just clothes thrown everywhere. I love seeing the shower,
- 11:36Speaker 1: just like the kids' stuff in the shower. Because they
- 11:38Speaker 1: live in Sydney and obviously– any sort of real estate
- 11:42Speaker 1: is expensive. Like this house is beautiful, but it's very
- 11:44Speaker 1: small for now going to be five people. Well, they're
- 11:47Speaker 1: actually moving. So it makes sense as to why they
- 11:49Speaker 1: bought a new house. But in the video, Jade passed
- 11:53Speaker 1: the positive pregnancy test to her toddler, her oldest son,
- 11:57Speaker 1: and she told him to go take it to his dad. Now,
- 11:59Speaker 1: Lockie says, what have you got for me there? And
- 12:01Speaker 1: then when he realised what it was, he said, can
- 12:03Speaker 1: you get me a different toy? Now, at the end
- 12:05Speaker 1: of the video, Jade and Lockie were hugging and Fletcher's like,
- 12:09Speaker 1: no cuddles with mummy. And Lockie replies, yes, cuddles with mummy.
- 12:12Speaker 1: And then whispers to Jade, what's happening? Now, the cuddles
- 12:16Speaker 1: with mummy is what caused this. No more. I think
- 12:18Speaker 1: Fletcher's right. No more cuddles. Now, Jade captioned the video,
- 12:21Speaker 1: after processing the initial shock, in brackets, after just experiencing
- 12:25Speaker 1: an already small 17-month age gap lull, A world of joy,
- 12:30Speaker 1: excitement and gratitude set in for our third little angel.
- 12:33Speaker 1: We can't wait to meet you in January. January. Oh,
- 12:36Speaker 1: my God. Oh, my God. So, again, Kate, I'm sort
- 12:38Speaker 1: of having this parasocial relationship with Jade because her son
- 12:43Speaker 1: Harvey was born a couple of months after Luca and
- 12:46Speaker 1: I could not imagine– welcoming another child in January. Well,
- 12:49Speaker 1: I saw so many comments under Jade's announcement post and
- 12:52Speaker 1: they were like, I had to check that this was
- 12:54Speaker 1: a new video. I thought you had reshared your previous
- 12:57Speaker 1: pregnancy announcement. I was like, oh, is this a throwback
- 13:00Speaker 1: to this time last year when she found out about Harvey? Well,
- 13:04Speaker 1: this video went absolutely viral. Within 24 hours of sharing it,
- 13:07Speaker 1: it had over 1 million views. Of course, the Blue
- 13:09Speaker 1: Tick Brigade were out in full force. Steph Kless-Smith, Sofa Dofa, M. Davies,
- 13:14Speaker 1: Isabel Mathers, Ashy Bynes, Tammy Hembrough and Christy Swadling all
- 13:18Speaker 1: congratulated Jarday. I wonder if Steph Kless-Smith is like, now
- 13:22Speaker 1: don't steal another one of my kids' names. I saw
- 13:25Speaker 1: this TikTok the other day from this US comedian and
- 13:27Speaker 1: she was talking about how, oh, you know, when you've
- 13:30Speaker 1: got one kid, you're just a lady with a kid.
- 13:33Speaker 1: But when you have two or three, you're a mom,
- 13:35Speaker 1: like you're a real mom. And she said that women
- 13:38Speaker 1: with multiple children look like they're always fleeing a war-torn country.
- 13:41Speaker 1: They're picking things up off the ground and they're, get here!
- 13:46Speaker 1: I mean, I look at any mum as a superhero,
- 13:47Speaker 1: but extra when there's more than two. Now, Jade ended
- 13:51Speaker 1: up giving her 534,000 followers an insight into how she's
- 13:55Speaker 1: been feeling behind the scenes. Let's take a listen.
- 13:59Speaker 2: We've already got two under two, moving, renovating, and we thought,
- 14:05Speaker 2: let's just make things a bit more exciting, you know?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Because we've got all this under control.
- 14:11Speaker 1: This is under control.
- 14:13Speaker 2: And so we should... add another layer of complexity to
- 14:17Speaker 2: our lives. The good thing is we already bought a
- 14:21Speaker 2: seven-seater car.
- 14:22Speaker 1: So we're all good there.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Everyone keeps saying, no, you've got to get a bigger car.
- 14:25Speaker 4: No, we don't.
- 14:26Speaker 1: We already, we thought ahead.
- 14:28Speaker 2: Just in case, we thought, let's get the seven-seater, just
- 14:31Speaker 2: in case. And the in case did in fact case.
- 14:36Speaker 1: We have cased. So that's where we're at. That's why
- 14:39Speaker 1: I've been crying a lot. I love this about Jade,
- 14:42Speaker 1: like how real she's been in motherhood, the fact that
- 14:45Speaker 1: she's having a bit of a laugh about how chaotic
- 14:47Speaker 1: this situation is. And I mean, it's just a lot,
- 14:53Speaker 1: isn't it? Well, she said that now she's out of
- 14:55Speaker 1: the first trimester, she's feeling way better, but admitted that
- 14:57Speaker 1: the first few weeks really weren't very good. I love
- 15:00Speaker 1: she said, this is why I've been crying a lot.
- 15:03Speaker 1: She also said she was worried people were going to
- 15:05Speaker 1: pick up on the fact that she was pregnant because
- 15:08Speaker 1: Lockie kept making jokes about her having all these naps
- 15:10Speaker 1: on their podcast. And she's like, this is not a
- 15:12Speaker 1: normal thing. Like as a mother of two, I'm not
- 15:14Speaker 1: just having naps. Like I need them. I was really
- 15:18Speaker 1: happy for Jade because a day after announcing the pregnancy news,
- 15:21Speaker 1: she also dropped a gender reveal. And it turns out
- 15:24Speaker 1: they are having a baby girl. I love how there
- 15:26Speaker 1: was no bells and whistles either. Like this was really
- 15:28Speaker 1: a gender reveal for the third kid. And I felt
- 15:31Speaker 1: like there wasn't a heap of pressure on, you know,
- 15:34Speaker 1: having a girl or having a boy. Like, you know,
- 15:36Speaker 1: sometimes when you see It's an influencer posting like, mum
- 15:40Speaker 1: of two boys and waiting for my third gender reveal.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And you know that they're gunning for a girl, but
- 15:45Speaker 1: they seem genuinely happy. But I think if it had
- 15:47Speaker 1: been a boy, it would have been a similar reaction anyway.
- 15:50Speaker 1: She's been quite vocal on gender reveals. I remember her
- 15:52Speaker 1: saying that she doesn't understand why people share them, particularly
- 15:55Speaker 1: when they are so keen on one certain gender and
- 15:58Speaker 1: they're disappointed. It seems like there's something in the water
- 16:00Speaker 1: because Jade isn't the only influencer to announce they're pregnant
- 16:04Speaker 1: with their third child. So DJ Tiger Lily also shared
- 16:08Speaker 1: the news last week that she's having a third baby.
- 16:11Speaker 1: So she posted a family photo and wrote, counting my
- 16:14Speaker 1: lucky stars that our family is blessed to have another
- 16:16Speaker 1: mini disco joining us. Now the age gap between her
- 16:19Speaker 1: kids isn't quite as wild as Jade's. In saying that,
- 16:24Speaker 1: she'll still have three under three and a half. She's
- 16:27Speaker 1: got two boys, doesn't she? Yeah, she hasn't announced the gender.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I don't think she will. I think she kept a
- 16:32Speaker 1: secret the last couple of times. This seems to be
- 16:34Speaker 1: a bit of a pattern though. If you end up
- 16:37Speaker 1: having two kids and they're either two girls or two boys,
- 16:40Speaker 1: people seem to go for the third, hoping for the
- 16:42Speaker 1: different gender. Well, podcaster Laura Byrne, she gave birth to
- 16:45Speaker 1: her daughter, I think it was nearly a year ago now.
- 16:47Speaker 1: I think she's approaching one. And she had two girls
- 16:51Speaker 1: and ended up having a third girl. And she spoke
- 16:53Speaker 1: about how there was a real difference in reactions when
- 16:57Speaker 1: she announced that she was having her third. So she
- 16:59Speaker 1: said when she had her first, there was like so
- 17:01Speaker 1: much excitement. Then when she had her second, everyone's like, oh, excellent,
- 17:04Speaker 1: a friend for your other baby. And she said when
- 17:07Speaker 1: she announced her third pregnancy to people, they looked at
- 17:10Speaker 1: her as like, is everything okay? Like, what? Why would
- 17:13Speaker 1: you do that? She said there was a lot of
- 17:14Speaker 1: judgment around it. I definitely think you've got to be
- 17:17Speaker 1: in a different tax bracket to some of us to
- 17:20Speaker 1: have three kids though in this current climate. Like, I
- 17:22Speaker 1: just can't believe how ridiculously expensive it would be and
- 17:25Speaker 1: the time you have to take away from work and
- 17:28Speaker 1: potentially on really bad maternity leave. But it's not just
- 17:32Speaker 1: rich people that have three kids. There's a lot of
- 17:34Speaker 1: working class families that manage to have three children. But
- 17:38Speaker 1: I'm just saying that I think moving forward, because the
- 17:40Speaker 1: cost of living is so absurdly high, we are going
- 17:44Speaker 1: to see smaller families. We're already seeing that. Oh, definitely.
- 17:47Speaker 1: Now we need to talk about the third child theory
- 17:49Speaker 1: that's floating around on TikTok. So essentially it is that
- 17:54Speaker 1: the third child is really easy. Let's take a listen.
- 17:59Speaker 4: You have your first baby. Everyone congratulates you, says how
- 18:01Speaker 4: sweet they are. And then about a year into the baby,
- 18:05Speaker 4: everybody starts saying, when are you going to have another one?
- 18:08Speaker 4: When are you going to give so-and-so a sibling? No
- 18:10Speaker 4: one warns you that that sibling is going to absolutely
- 18:13Speaker 4: rock your world. And the second child rocks your world.
- 18:15Speaker 4: So you have the second baby and it rocks your world.
- 18:18Speaker 4: And then everyone starts saying, yeah, the second one, that's hard.
- 18:21Speaker 4: It's so hard juggling two, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 18:24Speaker 4: So you hear a lot about the second one. Then
- 18:25Speaker 4: people start asking you, when are you going to have
- 18:27Speaker 4: a third? Or the people that already have a third
- 18:30Speaker 4: are like, oh, the third's so easy. Just have the third.
- 18:32Speaker 4: It's like the third child theory. Like everyone says the
- 18:35Speaker 4: second one's so hard, but the third one just falls
- 18:37Speaker 4: right in line. And people that have three children are
- 18:39Speaker 4: very adamant that everyone should have three children.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Now, that theory has been backed up by Australian influencer
- 18:45Speaker 1: Alyssa Jane, who recently welcomed her third child. Let's take
- 18:48Speaker 1: a listen to what she said.
- 18:50Speaker 3: If you've been thinking of having a third, I'm here
- 18:52Speaker 3: to tell you, do it. Have the third baby.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You will not regret it.
- 18:56Speaker 3: Zero to one, yeah, kind of hard. You don't know
- 18:58Speaker 3: what you're doing. There's no manual. One to two, for me,
- 19:02Speaker 3: very hard. PPA, PPD, 15-month age gap. Don't recommend, not
- 19:07Speaker 3: for the weak. But that third baby, that third baby
- 19:10Speaker 3: comes and it knows it's the third baby. It just
- 19:13Speaker 3: fits right in. You have three, you could have five.
- 19:17Speaker 3: And I stand by that.
- 19:19Speaker 1: I don't know if I believe that. These people, they're
- 19:22Speaker 1: being paid by the government to spruik the birth rates
- 19:25Speaker 1: because I don't see how having three children is easier
- 19:29Speaker 1: than having one or two. I think it's just the
- 19:31Speaker 1: way you would probably adapt as a mother. You've been
- 19:33Speaker 1: through it so many times that you're not sweating on
- 19:35Speaker 1: the small stuff that you would have when you had
- 19:37Speaker 1: your first child. Yeah, I feel like the nap routine
- 19:39Speaker 1: goes out the window, like the child just comes along
- 19:42Speaker 1: with you. You just introduce screen time straight away. All
- 19:47Speaker 1: those rules that you probably held with the first child
- 19:50Speaker 1: child you're not doing that anymore well a lot of
- 19:52Speaker 1: people said that the third child is more chilled out
- 19:55Speaker 1: as well I mean I'd would be interested putting it
- 19:58Speaker 1: out to the mum's group with people who have three
- 20:00Speaker 1: kids if that's actually true. Unfortunately, I don't think that
- 20:02Speaker 1: that is the case for everyone. I mean, look at
- 20:03Speaker 1: Sarah's day. I mean, her third child, Harlow, who had
- 20:06Speaker 1: colic almost broke her and she said it was the
- 20:08Speaker 1: most difficult time in their life. It seems like there's
- 20:10Speaker 1: always one child that breaks you and a lot of
- 20:13Speaker 1: people seem to think it's the second child. I mean,
- 20:17Speaker 1: is that because maybe if you have a really good
- 20:20Speaker 1: first child, you're willing to go for a second. Like
- 20:22Speaker 1: maybe the people that had really hard first children don't
- 20:26Speaker 1: go for a second. They're one and done. I saw
- 20:27Speaker 1: his TikTok saying that there's nothing he loves more than
- 20:30Speaker 1: parents who have one child who was quite easy. They're
- 20:33Speaker 1: super smug about it. Like, yeah, sleeps really well, no troubles.
- 20:37Speaker 1: And then they have a second child and the second
- 20:38Speaker 1: child completely humbles them. Yeah, I've seen that. And that
- 20:41Speaker 1: makes me so worried to have a second child because
- 20:44Speaker 1: I have a really good sleeper. Do you know what?
- 20:46Speaker 1: It's so funny because I feel like once you have
- 20:49Speaker 1: a child, The anxiety over an unplanned pregnancy is even
- 20:53Speaker 1: higher because you know what it means. Yeah. You know
- 20:56Speaker 1: what I mean? You know what you're in for. UK
- 20:58Speaker 1: lifestyle influencer Saf Michaela, she actually had a really interesting
- 21:02Speaker 1: take on the whole three children. So we've actually previously
- 21:06Speaker 1: spoken about her on the podcast. So she created this
- 21:10Speaker 1: viral video where she was prepping for her daughter's first
- 21:13Speaker 1: birthday party and it was so beautiful. Like it was
- 21:16Speaker 1: this nostalgic moment. yet effortless, stylish birthday party that a
- 21:20Speaker 1: lot of people clearly wanted to emulate because it notched
- 21:22Speaker 1: up around 1.8 million views. That's the style I was
- 21:26Speaker 1: going for over the weekend with Lucas Farm. I think
- 21:29Speaker 1: you nailed it. I was actually very impressed. See, I'm
- 21:31Speaker 1: just suddenly trying to get a compliment here. I'm fishing
- 21:33Speaker 1: around because Amy was like, oh, Kate said this about
- 21:36Speaker 1: your party. And I was like, what did she say?
- 21:38Speaker 1: I messaged you saying that you put mine to shame.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I didn't see that message. I messaged you saying like,
- 21:42Speaker 1: I really liked your theme. I felt like it ran
- 21:44Speaker 1: really smoothly. Mine was sort of that garish Lightning McQueen theme. Yeah,
- 21:47Speaker 1: but that's once your child's over one and they actually
- 21:50Speaker 1: have their own interests and likes, isn't it? You can't
- 21:52Speaker 1: just push whatever you want on it. Yeah. Anyway, back
- 21:54Speaker 1: to Saf. So she's one of those people that has
- 21:57Speaker 1: that really enviable style. Her house looks beautiful. She's got
- 22:01Speaker 1: over 170,000 followers on TikTok because of her style. So
- 22:05Speaker 1: she's a real trendsetter. So it shocked me. when she
- 22:08Speaker 1: said this.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I am 26 and I have one girl. And later
- 22:13Speaker 3: this year, we want to have more babies, potentially. But
- 22:16Speaker 3: I'm in a bit of a pickle because I feel
- 22:18Speaker 3: like living in the city as a 26-year-old with one
- 22:22Speaker 3: daughter is incredibly chic. I feel like three children is
- 22:25Speaker 3: incredibly chic. I'm terrified of two children. Two children at
- 22:29Speaker 3: 27 is just normal. Like I, as someone who's chronically
- 22:33Speaker 3: terrified of that, that's going to be our next step.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Now, she went on to say that she's obviously just
- 22:39Speaker 1: joking and she probably will have two children, but it's
- 22:42Speaker 1: categorically less chic. Fun fact, that video was filmed a
- 22:46Speaker 1: couple of months ago and she actually recently announced that
- 22:48Speaker 1: she's pregnant with her second child. I'm guessing that means
- 22:51Speaker 1: she's going to go for three because she wants to
- 22:53Speaker 1: be chic. Her parents are really chic. That's what I
- 22:56Speaker 1: want to know. Like, is it chic to have one child? Look,
- 23:00Speaker 1: I think contextually it's considered chic in the parenting world.
- 23:04Speaker 1: I don't think it's too outside, like 20-year-olds. No. Yeah. Well,
- 23:07Speaker 1: that being said, see, my biggest fear is obviously everyone
- 23:10Speaker 1: can hear I'm quite apprehensive to have a second child
- 23:12Speaker 1: because I just can't imagine how that would go. But
- 23:15Speaker 1: my thing is sometimes when I'm out on a walk
- 23:17Speaker 1: and I see like a mum and dad and a
- 23:20Speaker 1: child who's around 10, To me, that looks really heartbreaking
- 23:23Speaker 1: when they have no siblings. Yes, I get that. Like
- 23:25Speaker 1: that's when I'm like, oh. Yeah. Like I don't want
- 23:28Speaker 1: to put my son through that, but then I can't
- 23:29Speaker 1: also imagine having another one. It's very conflicting. If they
- 23:32Speaker 1: were with their sibling, they'd probably be fighting. Yeah, true.
- 23:35Speaker 1: Someone in the comment section under Saf's video I think
- 23:38Speaker 1: really nailed it. So they wrote, my theory here is
- 23:42Speaker 1: one in three seem more chic because chicness is about
- 23:45Speaker 1: assuredness and a strong point of view. One or three
- 23:47Speaker 1: children like good personal style. are the more daring and
- 23:50Speaker 1: individual choices. One and done, still a mildly controversial choice
- 23:55Speaker 1: and one that requires giving into pressure. Three kids, that's
- 23:58Speaker 1: a choice. You're a kid person. You're superhuman. You're made
- 24:02Speaker 1: to mother. Two, that's the obligatory amount of children. People
- 24:06Speaker 1: sleepwalk to two. Obviously, it's an active choice for many,
- 24:09Speaker 1: but it's also expected and many do it because they
- 24:12Speaker 1: think they should and not because they love it. That's
- 24:14Speaker 1: why people with two see more stress than those with
- 24:17Speaker 1: one or more than three. And it's hard to be
- 24:19Speaker 1: chic when you're stressed. That is so true because I
- 24:22Speaker 1: feel like if you're having three kids, you've almost got
- 24:24Speaker 1: to have a level of mild delusion that everything's fine.
- 24:29Speaker 1: I'm a sort of glass half empty type of person.
- 24:32Speaker 1: So I'm not the go with the flow parent who
- 24:34Speaker 1: could get around having three children and feeling really certain
- 24:38Speaker 1: in that decision. Like I have decision fatigue. That doesn't
- 24:42Speaker 1: sound very chic though. And you've got one. So I mean,
- 24:45Speaker 1: I totally agree with the fact that it's all about
- 24:47Speaker 1: being assured and wanting that as a personal decision, because
- 24:52Speaker 1: I can see the chicness involved with one and done
- 24:54Speaker 1: because people say, you know, one child is an accessory
- 24:58Speaker 1: rather than a lifestyle. But in saying that, when you
- 25:01Speaker 1: pick three, you're picking the lifestyle and that's what you
- 25:04Speaker 1: really like. Like you want three kids to be your lifestyle.
- 25:07Speaker 1: You love children. So I think that makes a lot
- 25:09Speaker 1: of sense. It was funny because there was a general
- 25:11Speaker 1: consensus in the comments that two daughters, very chic, two boys,
- 25:16Speaker 1: not chic. That is bang on, bang on because two boys,
- 25:22Speaker 1: they're wrestling, they're fighting, they're squabbling. Two girls will sit
- 25:26Speaker 1: and color in They'll be quiet. I feel like a
- 25:29Speaker 1: girl and a boy is quite chic though because you've
- 25:31Speaker 1: got that perfect pair. See, I think that's more chic. Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: I think that that is the chicest of chic. I
- 25:36Speaker 1: saw some people going, one boy, not chic. And I
- 25:38Speaker 1: was like, fuck off. Like have you seen what you
- 25:42Speaker 1: can dress a boy up in? Have you seen how
- 25:45Speaker 1: much a boy loves their mother, loves cuddling? I tend
- 25:49Speaker 1: to see where they're coming from. I was saying before
- 25:51Speaker 1: about when you're out on a walk and you see
- 25:53Speaker 1: like a 10-year-old boy just with their parents and you
- 25:55Speaker 1: kind of, their heart bleeds for them. They look really lonely. See,
- 25:58Speaker 1: I think if I had one girl, I would have thought, no,
- 26:01Speaker 1: I have to have a sister for them. Growing up
- 26:02Speaker 1: with sisters, I think girls are more likely also to
- 26:06Speaker 1: be angry at you later in life for not providing
- 26:08Speaker 1: them with a sibling where it's always like, oh, whatever.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I totally know what you're talking about, Amy. And this
- 26:12Speaker 1: was really cemented to me one night when we were
- 26:14Speaker 1: chatting to some of Dale's friends at your house. And
- 26:17Speaker 1: I think there was a question that a couple had
- 26:19Speaker 1: broken up and we said, oh, did you ask him
- 26:22Speaker 1: about what happened or how he feels? And Dale's friend said, No,
- 26:26Speaker 1: because he'll open up to me if he wants to
- 26:28Speaker 1: talk about it. And just how black and white it was, like, again,
- 26:31Speaker 1: obviously not all men are the same. I don't think
- 26:33Speaker 1: that's necessarily a good thing, though. But I think that
- 26:35Speaker 1: men are more black and white. They're like, oh, I'm
- 26:36Speaker 1: sure there was a reason my parents didn't want to
- 26:38Speaker 1: have more. Whereas a girl would be in therapy over
- 26:40Speaker 1: and being like, my mother hates me. She's a bitch. Like,
- 26:43Speaker 1: why didn't she have a sibling for me? See, I think.
- 26:46Speaker 1: that simplifies men and women a little bit too much.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I think that they have been forced to be black
- 26:51Speaker 1: and white about it. I think that like when Harry
- 26:55Speaker 1: grows up, if he doesn't have a sibling, he'll be
- 26:56Speaker 1: cool about it. He'll be like, I've got Luca and Jack.
- 26:59Speaker 1: Let's get into our recommendations. And I have one for
- 27:01Speaker 1: the toddler moms. So It is Anko Silky Crayons. And
- 27:06Speaker 1: I've become very particular about crayons because my son loves
- 27:09Speaker 1: to color in. And these crayons are so good because
- 27:11Speaker 1: you don't actually have to push down hard on them.
- 27:13Speaker 1: They actually get very pigmented with just when you're toddling,
- 27:16Speaker 1: because people will know. We went and got another packet
- 27:18Speaker 1: of Crayola ones and I love Crayola stuff. Very disappointing
- 27:22Speaker 1: on the crayon front. You have to push very hard.
- 27:24Speaker 1: Kids don't like them. I'm really looking forward to Harry
- 27:27Speaker 1: getting into coloring because I feel like then I will
- 27:29Speaker 1: get to like, I feel like the other day when
- 27:31Speaker 1: we were opening Luca's presents for his birthday, I said
- 27:34Speaker 1: to Sophie, are you kind of excited because now you
- 27:35Speaker 1: feel like you've got new toys to play with? I
- 27:37Speaker 1: love it when I've got a new book to read. Yeah,
- 27:39Speaker 1: like I've got puzzles the other day from Audi, some
- 27:42Speaker 1: bluey ones. I made them all this morning in record time.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Sometimes you like time yourself. You're like, can I get
- 27:47Speaker 1: this done.
- 27:47Speaker 3: In a minute?
- 27:48Speaker 1: I was like, shut up, Harry. I'm trying to– No,
- 27:50Speaker 1: you can't have a goat. Well, that's the thing with
- 27:52Speaker 1: the colouring books. I was excited. But what happens is
- 27:54Speaker 1: you start colouring and then they turn the page or
- 27:57Speaker 1: they ruin your colouring. So I almost feel like I
- 27:59Speaker 1: need to get my own and he has his own. Kate,
- 28:01Speaker 1: you had an Anko recommendation. I also have one. It's
- 28:04Speaker 1: for the faux fur flip out. chocolate and go toddler
- 28:07Speaker 1: so you sent me a snapchat of harry in the
- 28:10Speaker 1: chair and i was like oh my god you got
- 28:11Speaker 1: the viral chair and you're like is it viral it
- 28:13Speaker 1: seems like everything in the kmart homeware section is viral
- 28:16Speaker 1: well i could kind of tell that this had gone
- 28:19Speaker 1: viral because there was only one of the chocolate chairs
- 28:21Speaker 1: left and i was like fuck i'm grabbing that well
- 28:24Speaker 1: no one's buying their toddler a white chair are they
- 28:26Speaker 1: i was actually i would yeah that's me that's what
- 28:28Speaker 1: i thought i was gonna ring sophie but i had
- 28:30Speaker 1: too much stuff in my hands to carry two of
- 28:31Speaker 1: them i was gonna say hey babe Do you want
- 28:33Speaker 1: the cream one? Because as we've joked, everything is either
- 28:35Speaker 1: cream or beige in Sophie's house to the detriment of
- 28:39Speaker 1: kids crushing things into it. There was a moment at
- 28:42Speaker 1: the party where I was like, oh, God, Sophie's stuff's
- 28:43Speaker 1: being ruined. And then I was like, it might teach
- 28:45Speaker 1: her that white wasn't the best color. Oh, that is
- 28:48Speaker 1: actually so nasty. I was just going to say quickly.
- 28:50Speaker 1: You literally let your son walk on my couch in
- 28:53Speaker 1: his Crocs. Just before another fight breaks out because my
- 28:55Speaker 1: son is actually asleep next door and I'm concerned he's
- 28:57Speaker 1: going to wake up. But I just want to get
- 28:59Speaker 1: back to these chairs because Sometimes when you buy something
- 29:02Speaker 1: that is trending on TikTok, you get it home and
- 29:05Speaker 1: your child is not interested in it whatsoever. This was
- 29:07Speaker 1: the complete opposite. I put it out. Harry raced over.
- 29:10Speaker 1: He's been sitting down. He's been having his snacks in
- 29:12Speaker 1: the chair. He likes to sit down and have a
- 29:14Speaker 1: cuddle in the chair, reads a book. Also, my cat
- 29:18Speaker 1: Gigi loves it when Harry's in bed. She is in
- 29:21Speaker 1: that chair immediately. I have a similar chair. It's not
- 29:25Speaker 1: as aesthetically pleasing. It's a bluey one. Well, no, Paw Patrol. See,
- 29:28Speaker 1: that was my fear that someone was going to buy
- 29:30Speaker 1: one of those for Harry. I was like, I just
- 29:33Speaker 1: hate with that like Spider-Man bluey. It was a gift,
- 29:36Speaker 1: but I mean, I like it because we used to
- 29:38Speaker 1: have it in the playpen. and it was where I
- 29:40Speaker 1: would sit and it was so comfy. Like I need
- 29:43Speaker 1: to invest in one. I'll get the, I mean, there's
- 29:45Speaker 1: probably heaps of the white ones left that I can
- 29:47Speaker 1: pick up then if they're not as popular. It's a
- 29:49Speaker 1: scary moment when your child actually has a say and
- 29:51Speaker 1: they don't want the aesthetic things anymore. That's going to
- 29:53Speaker 1: be a scary day. Now I'm doing a D recommendation
- 29:57Speaker 1: if I'm allowed. Yeah. So, I mean, it sounds like
- 29:59Speaker 1: we're sponsored by ANCO at this point. Well, if you're not,
- 30:02Speaker 1: if you're de-influencing about it. I don't actually think it's Anko,
- 30:05Speaker 1: but it's just a shit brand. So we bought some
- 30:07Speaker 1: child locks from Bunnings, the ones that are the magnetic ones,
- 30:11Speaker 1: because we didn't want, no offence to you, Amy, I
- 30:12Speaker 1: know you've got those plastic ones, but we wanted them
- 30:14Speaker 1: not to be visible because we did up our kitchen
- 30:16Speaker 1: last year. And so no offence to you, Amy, we
- 30:17Speaker 1: saw how ugly the child locks were on your cupboard,
- 30:21Speaker 1: so we decided we were getting something completely different. So
- 30:23Speaker 1: we've got the magnet ones and I really like them.
- 30:25Speaker 1: Is it a different brand? I don't know what brand
- 30:28Speaker 1: it is, but it was actually really my fault. So
- 30:29Speaker 1: it's probably not actually the brand's fault, but basically I
- 30:32Speaker 1: was panicking because The other night because. After dropping icing
- 30:35Speaker 1: on the ground? No, this was another incident. So unbeknownst
- 30:38Speaker 1: to me, I accidentally put the magnet which unlocks all
- 30:43Speaker 1: of the drawers, accidentally locked it into one of the drawers.
- 30:46Speaker 1: This seems user error rather than the company's fault. But
- 30:48Speaker 1: isn't this just something you would do though? So I
- 30:51Speaker 1: was on the phone to you, Amy, and I said,
- 30:53Speaker 1: oh my God, I can't find this fucking thing. I
- 30:55Speaker 1: know it's somewhere stupid. I'm not getting into this. You
- 30:58Speaker 1: were so fixated on it. I was like. It would
- 31:00Speaker 1: turn up like– I'm sorry, there's something I can do
- 31:01Speaker 1: via the phone. I've got to text about it as well.
- 31:03Speaker 1: We had a rule, have a rule that Brandon initiated,
- 31:06Speaker 1: this rule that any time you've finished using the magnet,
- 31:09Speaker 1: which is blue, you need to put it up on
- 31:11Speaker 1: the windowsill. Oh, see, ours actually came with a little
- 31:14Speaker 1: magnetic thing that you put on the wall. Okay, so
- 31:17Speaker 1: it is– So we put ours there and then we
- 31:18Speaker 1: put the second one because we got like a few
- 31:20Speaker 1: different unlockers on the fridge. They only give you one.
- 31:23Speaker 1: They give you one. They're setting you up for it.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I'll have to tell you the brand that we got
- 31:26Speaker 1: because I lost one once and it was actually stuck
- 31:27Speaker 1: to a pan. Yeah, that's the thing. They stick to
- 31:30Speaker 1: fucking everything. So Brandon rang up his dad because his
- 31:33Speaker 1: sister lives down the road and he's like, Dad, could
- 31:35Speaker 1: you drop– they were at their house for dinner. He's like,
- 31:37Speaker 1: could you drop one of her magnets down to unlock it?
- 31:40Speaker 1: This magnet didn't even unlock it. It's some powerful shit.
- 31:44Speaker 1: You need some sort of powerful magnet that unleashes it.
- 31:47Speaker 1: I can't think it was– Unlocks it. Unlocks it. I
- 31:49Speaker 1: can't remember what it's called. Anyway. Well, I've got heaps
- 31:52Speaker 1: of them at my house. Yeah. But anyway, so what
- 31:53Speaker 1: we ended up doing was we ended up having to
- 31:55Speaker 1: rip the drawers open. And now half of them are locked,
- 31:59Speaker 1: half of them are unlocked. You should have asked mum
- 32:01Speaker 1: because when we first fitted ours in, when she would
- 32:05Speaker 1: babysit Jack, we'd come home and most of them had
- 32:07Speaker 1: broken because she didn't know that they were on and
- 32:09Speaker 1: she's like forced it open. There's nothing more frustrating though
- 32:12Speaker 1: when you're just trying to get a spoon out and
- 32:14Speaker 1: you're like, this fucking locks. I feel like you would
- 32:16Speaker 1: have been really cool, calm and collected about it. Oh,
- 32:18Speaker 1: I was. Well, on that note. That is where we're
- 32:22Speaker 1: going to leave things today. But if you do enjoy
- 32:24Speaker 1: the Mums group, we would love it if you could
- 32:26Speaker 1: leave us a review. This podcast was recorded on the
- 32:29Speaker 1: traditional land of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains.
- 32:32Speaker 1: We pay respect to elders, parents and visitors.
