- 3:25Speaker 2: So I'm going to stop it there, wanda, because you are such an inspiration to all of us.
- 3:31Speaker 2: That's why I wanted to pick you for this title.
- 3:33Speaker 2: The interview with a networking queen expert.
- 3:37Speaker 2: So tell us a little bit about you, wanda.
- 3:39Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you some questions, so it's not going to take long.
- 3:41Speaker 2: We just want to get your intake of why networking and collaboration is important and how you got to where you are today.
- 3:47Speaker 2: Tell us who, wanda, ours, is.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Well, excuse me, first of all, I want to say thank you I want to for having me this is a complete joy and honor to be here on Already Set Collaborate.
- 4:01Speaker 3: So there is really not much to tell about me.
- 4:07Speaker 3: I'm just a lady that takes action.
- 4:09Speaker 3: I do the things that bring me joy.
- 4:12Speaker 3: You know, yes, I'm from Detroit.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I live right now in Atlanta.
- 4:17Speaker 3: I operate several different businesses.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I am a serial entrepreneur and you know I just like helping other people win.
- 4:26Speaker 3: So this is one reason why we have the I Am Enough Talk Show, which that focuses around business owners presenting their businesses as used as a marketing tool.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I also go out and I help people launch their businesses and you know I just love what I do.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I'm very proud of it.
- 4:48Speaker 3: You know, just standing in a space of what I need to do for my own personal choices, you know and that's a part of my business is just making sure that everything is in alignment.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You know that I stay focused and it brings me to where I am today in this crazy world.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Absolutely, and I love it.
- 5:13Speaker 2: I love it and you know, I love that behind me says success Success is, and I always said networking and collaboration with entrepreneurs even people who are not entrepreneurs bring success.
- 5:23Speaker 2: So I love that.
- 5:24Speaker 2: But I want to ask you a question here how important do you think networking is to a collaboration and why?
- 5:31Speaker 3: Well, great question.
- 5:32Speaker 3: I think it's very important because you have to get out, you know you have to meet people.
- 5:40Speaker 3: You have to be strategic about networking.
- 5:43Speaker 3: You know going into rooms that you are unfamiliar with not necessarily, you know, keep going back to rooms that you know the people that's going to be there.
- 5:56Speaker 3: I think it's important that you get out, first of all, you know what you need to collaborate about and then, when you get in those spaces of networking, you can, you know, articulate that to whomever you're speaking with and also it gives you a chance to just I don't know, I would say transfer energy.
- 6:19Speaker 3: You know, when you are, if you're a business owner, if you, you know, author, entrepreneur, whatever it is, you need to be able to fellowship and to me, networking is an extension of fellowship.
- 6:32Speaker 3: You know relationships are created, not always business relationships.
- 6:38Speaker 3: You know things growing to friendships, things growing to long term.
- 6:41Speaker 3: You know relationships and it's always a learning process.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So anytime you get into a room, you want to take full advantage of who's there and connecting with them afterwards, and you know, and to see if a collaboration is in alignment for you both.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 7:04Speaker 2: That was a great answer.
- 7:05Speaker 2: I truly appreciate that and I really want to go back to how I met you.
- 7:10Speaker 2: When I asked you was on, I was just now in the network of things, but met you on the wedding.
- 7:17Speaker 2: What is it?
- 7:18Speaker 2: The woman, woman and B is yes, woman and B is thank you.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Woman and B is wanted to have me on her show and I tell you I was so scared because I didn't know what the heck I was doing, but I just followed.
- 7:30Speaker 2: I just followed the process and I want to appreciate that, because we met at a networking event and you saw what I did and my personality and that's how we actually just start joining, you know, talking to each other and I've been on several of your, your shows and I truly appreciate that.
- 7:46Speaker 2: But but thank you, thank you for it, for what you give to the community, you give to business owners.
- 7:51Speaker 2: So actually I'm going to this next question is help and network and help individuals or organizations access new opportunities for collaboration.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Great question.
- 8:04Speaker 3: I think, with, with, with that, I view everything as an opportunity, whether it's an opportunity to learn or to teach, whether it's an opportunity to just gather information, to make yourself more knowledgeable of what's going on in other people's businesses or just around the community.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Without question, there is definitely a deep connection with being able to network, to grow personally and in business, because that always helps expand your territory and whatever it is that you're doing.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That's awesome.
- 8:55Speaker 2: I really appreciate that answer because you never know who you're going to meet.
- 8:59Speaker 2: You never know who made me to hear a word from you.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Even people who have that passion in getting into their own business, that want to get into business how do they start?
- 9:08Speaker 2: What do they do?
- 9:09Speaker 2: I notice you do that as well.
- 9:11Speaker 2: As far as I help people legally, they set up the right way.
- 9:13Speaker 2: You help people, coach them to get their business set up.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Is that right?
- 9:17Speaker 2: That is something like collaboration.
- 9:20Speaker 2: How can we work together?
- 9:21Speaker 2: How can we help that client or that person that actually have that passion with that?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Another question I want to ask you is can you provide some tips for effective communication and relationship building within professional networks?
- 9:34Speaker 2: You're in so many different networks.
- 9:35Speaker 2: What kind of tips can you give?
- 9:37Speaker 2: Can you give a listener?
- 9:41Speaker 3: Well, first of all, the first tip would be to how many tips?
- 9:45Speaker 3: Look how much time I have.
- 9:47Speaker 3: I got a few tips and I got to do it All right.
- 9:50Speaker 2: No, just give us a few, because I want you to tell about your business.
- 9:53Speaker 2: What.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I was going to say is the first tip that I will always tell people is to become a great listener.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Yes, most of the time we want to talk, we want to make it be about us, me, me, me, this is, this is this is.
- 10:10Speaker 3: This is what I got going on.
- 10:11Speaker 3: This is what I got going on.
- 10:12Speaker 3: But if you're really trying to connect with people, then you have to be a great listener and you have to have a spirit of compassion and just care about other people, so then they will know that you're listening and not just waiting, like treating it like a double Dutch.
- 10:36Speaker 3: You speak, let me jump in and you're trying to finish them sentences for people, and you're trying to rush them to the end so you can get in and tell them what you have going on.
- 10:47Speaker 3: So that's one thing Develop a better and a dynamic sense of listening.
- 10:55Speaker 3: The next thing is take the relationship quickly to the next level by suggesting maybe a more intimate setting.
- 11:05Speaker 3: You meet people out in public arenas, whether it's on the Zoom meetings that we got going crazy.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Now that we're in, you know the after COVID season, it's like Zooms have taken over our lives.
- 11:19Speaker 3: But you also have the in-person networking events.
- 11:26Speaker 3: But what you wanna do with each of those is take them offline, take them out of that big arena and then just suggest that maybe coffee or lunch or something that you can really get to sit down and understand people.
- 11:42Speaker 3: I like to know why a person is doing something, not how they're doing it, but why they're doing it, because that, I find, will bring out the passion in them communicating with that choice of whatever it is.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Whether it's writing a book, scripting a movie or starting a business, there's always a why behind that.
- 12:07Speaker 3: So those would be two valuable tips.
- 12:10Speaker 3: It's listening and then taking that relationship offline or outside of that big networking event into a very intimate setting to get really, really diving and get to know the person.
- 12:24Speaker 3: And remember you're playing tennis, so it's always a give and take in a conversation.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Those are awesome.
- 12:32Speaker 2: I say, see, that's why we're named Wanda, because we think a lot, a lot of life, we think about that compassion that we both have.
- 12:40Speaker 2: So thank you so much for that.
- 12:41Speaker 2: I appreciate it.
- 12:43Speaker 2: So I wanna get onto a lot of other different things, but no, we don't have time.
- 12:47Speaker 2: But what I'm actually gonna do is tell us about your business and tell us how we can get in touch with you.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Well, I tell you, the easiest way to contact me is through email I am enough talk show at Gmail, or either I'm on all social media platforms my name or business, my main business is that I am enough talk show, and that's the easiest and quickest way to get in touch with me.
- 13:17Speaker 3: My business I have several businesses, but the one particular business that I help with other people well, I shouldn't say the one business the I am enough talk show is a platform that's really formulated to help business owners with marketing tools such as media.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I believe that media is the best tool of marketing to ever be used.
- 13:47Speaker 3: What we do on the I am enough talk show, or I should say, within our community, is give people a voice, the opportunity to talk, but I help guide them through that process of getting out their message, and I also help you formulate a message, whether it's a pitch, because there is situations where you don't have a lot of time.
- 14:16Speaker 3: So I help people hit those key points of making sure that they are impactful and that they can leave out of that conversation with contacts.
- 14:26Speaker 3: One of my coaches told me you should either be collecting contacts or coins.
- 14:32Speaker 3: So at the end of the day, it's always great to have contacts, and to me, contacts are more valuable than coins, because contacts keep expanding.
- 14:43Speaker 3: You take one person's network and then you drip into their network and you drip into another's network just from that, perhaps, one conversation that you had.
- 14:53Speaker 3: So that's what I do.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I'm also an accountability coach.
- 14:59Speaker 3: That's another thing, something else that I'm very, very passionate about, because then I'm able to not only help a person, but what brings me joy is watching people reach their own potential, get to their own success.
- 15:18Speaker 3: So that's important to me because it's just like oh, I had a part in that, I played a role in that, and it's just very easy for me to be in that seat, because it's something that I've learned, I've developed a skill set for it, and where it's a lot of people they think that they can do certain things on their own.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I was like that as well, but when I got my first coach, it changed my life and I would never be without a coach again, because coaches hold you accountable.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Getting the right coach for what you want to do in your life is very important.
- 15:59Speaker 3: So those are the areas that I help people win in this game that we call life and I also have my website.
- 16:08Speaker 3: People Can Reach Out To Me on my website at Iamenough365.com.
- 16:15Speaker 3: That's Iamenough365.com.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 16:20Speaker 2: You just said everything that I wanted and I would have to say you were the one that actually helped me get out there, because being on your woman and biz talk show host as a host, it helped me to get more confidence in getting out there and doing more, and now I become known as a networking queen, which I was like I didn't know if that was good or bad, but it's good, because people recognize us and see what we do and we have that compassion.
- 16:50Speaker 2: So I want to thank you so, so much, wanda, for being on my podcast.
- 16:54Speaker 2: It's just an honor to have you and what you shared is a wealth of knowledge.
- 16:59Speaker 2: So I want everybody to make sure that you download this podcast.
- 17:03Speaker 2: You know I'm having it every week and, wanda, make sure you reach out to Wanda.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Wanda Hollis Okay, wanda Hollis, I'm Wanda Pearson, so make sure you reach out to Wanda.
- 17:17Speaker 2: She can give you some of those tips.
