• 3:22
news, the Navy's iconic Blue Angels are back
• 3:26
in New Hampshire for the first time in more than
• 3:28
a decade, bringing their thrilling air show to
• 3:31
Pease Air Base in Portsmouth this weekend. Locals
• 3:34
gathered outside the base to watch the high -flying
• 3:37
spectacle during Thursday's rehearsal. Les Carboneaux,
• 3:42
a nearby resident, remarked, The way these guys
• 3:45
fly, it's so close together. It's quite a sight
• 3:48
to see. For Katie Riley, who attended with her
• 3:52
daughter, it's about passing on a tradition,
• 3:55
recalling, My dad used to take us to air shows
• 3:58
all the time. The free event is expected to draw
• 4:02
about 40 ,000 people, and coincides with the
• 4:05
250th birthday of the Navy and Marine Corps.
• 4:14
Now on to sports. Kaitlyn Clark's season is officially
• 4:19
over, as the Indiana Fever star announced on
• 4:22
social media Thursday night, She expressed her
• 4:31
feelings of disappointment, thanking fans for
• 4:33
their support through this frustrating time.
• 4:37
Clark has been sidelined since July 16th with
• 4:40
a right groin injury, and despite her hard work
• 4:43
to recover, Time was not on her side. Last night,
• 4:47
we kicked off the NFL season with Cowboys at
• 4:50
Eagles. Philly came out on top 24 to 20. After
• 4:56
a brief lightning delay, the Eagles pulled ahead,
• 4:59
with Jalen Hertz going 19 for 23 with 152 yards.
• 5:07
Hertz really shined in the running game, and
• 5:09
the boys couldn't stop him. as he racked up 62
• 5:13
yards rushing with two touchdowns. Dak Prescott
• 5:17
was in good form, with 188 yards passing, going
• 5:22
21 for 34. And tonight, the brilliant decision
• 5:27
-makers at NFL headquarters decided to take a
• 5:31
home game away from the Chargers, with their
• 5:33
opening game being played in Brazil as they face
• 5:36
the Chiefs. This game can only be watched on
• 5:40
YouTube. Luckily for free, with a game time at
• 5:43
8 Eastern, 5 Pacific. On to college football
• 5:48
tomorrow. Not too many big matchups, but a good
• 5:52
one might be number 15 Michigan at number 18
• 5:55
Oklahoma, which kicks off at 430 Pacific on ABC.
• 6:01
The Sooners are favored by five and a half. In
• 6:05
local sports, the Red Sox were off last night,
• 6:09
but tonight, They are back in action, taking
• 6:12
on the D -backs at Chase Field in Phoenix for
• 6:15
Game 1 of a three -game series. Peyton Tall,
• 6:20
  with a 0 -0 record and a 3 .38 earned run average,
• 6:25
faces Eduardo Rodriguez, who is 6 -8 with a 5
• 6:29
.4 ERA. First pitch at 940 under clear skies
• 6:34
with temperatures near 94 degrees. In top news,
• 6:41
Matthew Bowyer, at the center of the Shohei Otani
• 6:44
bedding scandal, received more than $16 million
• 6:48
in wires from Otani's account. And this led to
• 6:51
an investigation threatening the Las Vegas gambling
• 6:54
scene. Bowyer, a former poker player, became
• 6:58
involved in an illegal bookmaking operation,
• 7:01
attracting clients through various means. In
• 7:04
December 2023, Otani signed a record contract
• 7:08
with the Los Angeles Dodgers, but by March 2024,
• 7:12
reports emerged linking him to illegal gambling,
• 7:15
leading to Otani denying any involvement. Bowyer,
• 7:19
who had been successfully running his operation
• 7:21
for years, now faces serious legal repercussions
• 7:25
as his empire crumbles under scrutiny. In business
• 7:31
news, This stock just displaced Palantir to become
• 7:35
the S &P 500's top -performing stock. Move over
• 7:40
Palantir, you have new competition. Seagate,
• 7:44
the computer storage provider. Artificial Intelligence
• 7:48
Defense Contractor Palantir has amassed a cult
• 7:52
following with a $370 billion valuation and one
• 7:56
of the richest valuations of all time. However,
• 8:00
after ascending nearly 2000 % from its October
• 8:04
2020 initial public offering and joining the
• 8:07
S &P 500 index, the company has hit a setback.
• 8:12
Over the last week, a 10 % rally in shares of
• 8:15
digital storage company Seagate Technology has
• 8:19
helped it quietly displace the one -time best
• 8:21
performer in the index. Seagate is now the best
• 8:25
-performing stock in the index, while Palantir
• 8:28
sits at number two. In crypto movement, Bitcoin
• 8:33
is down half a percent for the week, to about

• 9:36
back to the show. Let's talk science. This disease
• 9:40
is on the rise, and many people do not know that
• 9:43
they have it. Nine out of ten people with chronic
• 9:47
kidney disease only find out when it progresses
• 9:49
to later stages. An estimated 700 million people
• 9:54
worldwide have chronic kidney disease, including
• 9:58
35 .5 million people in the United States. Experts
• 10:02
warn that the biggest health risk associated
• 10:05
with chronic kidney disease is dying from heart
• 10:08
disease. Early detection is key to slowing the
• 10:12
progression of kidney damage, especially with
• 10:14
new treatments available. What should have been
• 10:22
the perfect pairing of artist and material instead
• 10:26
falls victim to impossible expectations as the
• 10:30
master overstuffs his creations. Oscar Isaac
• 10:34
plays Victor Frankenstein more as a tortured
• 10:37
artist than a scientist. More than once, incensed
• 10:41
characters accuse the mad doctor of being the
• 10:44
true monster in Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein.
• 10:49
Del Toro remains a cinematic master with every
• 10:53
costume set and propcrafted with formidable imagination
• 10:58
and daunting attention to detail. However, the
• 11:02
film feels as if we are watching through a peephole.
• 11:05
Alas, Del Toro's depiction of sexuality remains
• 11:09
strangely stunted, raising questions about the
• 11:12
monster's attraction. Well, alrighty folks, it's
• 11:17
time for the quote of the day. And today, our
• 11:20
quote comes from the American astronaut and physicist,
• 11:24
Sally Ride. And she said, And that's a wrap for
