Transcript
- 0:10You're listening to the Hidden Lightness on America Out Loud Talk Radio.
- 0:13I'm your host, Jimmy Hinton.
- 0:15We'll end the week by talking about some good economic news.
- 0:20There's a lot of economic news right now.
- 0:24I mean lots.
- 0:26And I just saw a post that a very famous economist is predicting that there's going to be a bigger crash than 2008.
- 0:37And maybe that's going to happen, maybe not.
- 0:40People have been sounding this alarm for several years now.
- 0:43And certainly since the beginning of President Trump's term, a year ago, people have been predicting a major crash, saying that he's the one driving the economy into the ground.
- 0:56But I'm looking at other stories here.
- 0:59And they're telling a little bit of a different story.
- 1:02Now I know the economy is very, very complex.
- 1:06It's got a lot of ups and downs.
- 1:09And certainly everybody's keeping their eye on inflation right now.
- 1:15And utility costs are up from last year overall.
- 1:21They're up.
- 1:23I forgot what the percentage is.
- 1:25I just saw an article about that.
- 1:26Maybe I'll circle back to that later.
- 1:28But people's utilities are up, and part of that is driven by a very, very hard winter.
- 1:36You know, the whole global warming.
- 1:42And it's been very unseasonably cold across most of America.
- 1:50It's uh it's cold.
- 1:52Folks, this is a cold, cold winter that's been on tap, and not much signs of letting up.
- 1:58So, of course, that's going to increase increase utility costs.
- 2:03But here's an article that caught my attention, and that is that the cruise industry is taking up residence in Florida.
- 2:14We're seeing a lot of businesses, a lot of businesses migrate to Florida.
- 2:19And this one just put a big investment.
- 2:23It's the third largest cruise industry or cruise line, and it's going to generate 300 million dollars annually in economic impact for Miami Dade County.
- 2:38More good news for Florida, and people can say what they want about DeSantis.
- 2:45They can trash him all day long, but the guy knows how to bring businesses to Florida.
- 2:51I mean, he really knows how to make Florida boom.
- 2:56And of course, President Trump, being from Florida, I think he's probably smiling all the way to the bank.
- 3:04This is really good news for Florida.
- 3:06More good news for Florida.
- 3:08And it continues to just get better and better.
- 3:12Now, this goes back to one of those things.
- 3:14Now, people say this about people personally, but it's very true for businesses as well, just in general.
- 3:23And they typically use this as an insult, where they say, well, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
- 3:31They actually do.
- 3:35And the reason they get richer is because they migrate to areas of least resistance.
- 3:42They migrate to states that actually treat them with decency and respect.
- 3:50They migrate to places that don't bombard them and burden them with taxes.
- 3:56So, yeah, the rich get richer because they look for opportunity.
- 4:02They look for places where they're going to thrive, where their businesses are going to thrive.
- 4:07And look at what this is doing for the state of Florida.
- 4:10Look at the amount of revenue that is coming into the state, the amount of jobs that are being produced in Florida.
- 4:19And it's actually a really brilliant move because what these states are doing, like Florida, Texas, what they're doing is they're making their entire state recession proof.
- 4:33It's a very brilliant move because these jobs aren't going anywhere.
- 4:39And the more revenue that they bring into the states, the more they can benefit the residents.
- 4:44And I've talked about this before.
- 4:46Florida is one of the states that's talking about eliminating the property tax.
- 4:51And uh the reason that they're eliminating the property tax is because they have so much revenue coming in from different areas that they don't need to tax people the property tax.
- 5:08Now they still need that revenue, they still need that money, and there is no such thing as free money.
- 5:14That money has to come from somewhere.
- 5:16But this is the brilliance in being a state that doesn't overtax businesses, that doesn't overburden wealthy people.
- 5:27And this is something that it's very interesting because the politicians gripe and gripe about this.
- 5:41Are the Nancy Pelosi's, the people who are worth half a billion dollars.
- 5:47You know, Nancy Pelosi, the queen of insider trading, she went on all those soapboxes constantly.
- 5:56Wow, tax the rich, the wealthy are terrible, they're immoral.
- 6:02Well, she's laughing all the way to the bank.
- 6:12That the rich people are they're greedy, they're terrible, they're a uh a sap on society, they drain the middle class dry.
- 6:21That's how they get their wealth, right?
- 6:23The only way that you can get wealth, according to them, is by ripping other people off.
- 6:29You take advantage of the poor people, you take advantage of the middle class, and then you get wealthy off the backs of them.
- 6:40And I hate to break it to those people, but that's not how economics works.
- 6:49Yeah, there are some people out there who rip off good, decent people, but those are the businesses that fail, and they should fail.
- 7:00But the average businesses, they do things like this where they they invest millions of dollars or even billions of dollars, and this is generating a 300 million dollar annual economic impact for Miami-Dade County.
- 7:18I mean, it's bringing in a massive pile of money to Miami-Dade County.
- 7:24Think of the thousands of people every single time that cruise ship comes in, one of their ships.
- 7:30I don't know how many ships they have, but every single time one of these ships docks, which is what, every couple days on rotation, it's probably really more like every day.
- 7:47It brings in a massive amount of people.
- 7:50You have visitors who come in, that means the hotel and Airbnb and uh those kinds of businesses do very well.
- 8:00Restaurants do very well.
- 8:03You think they're not loving having thousands of people come in every single day.
- 8:10How about the airlines?
- 8:11I just did a show about Delta.
- 8:14Delta's dishing out uh, you know, what one and a half or more billion dollars to to its employees, profit dividends.
- 8:26Oh, and on it goes.
- 8:27I mean, it affects so many different industries.
- 8:29How about uh your local gas stations?
- 8:35You think they don't like how about rental companies, car rental companies?
- 8:40On and on it goes, even hospitals.
- 8:44Yeah, people get sick, they're from out of town.
- 8:48Uh so many different people are benefiting.
- 8:53And this is really good news for Florida.
- 8:57So here's the article here.
- 8:58One cruise and travel group is charging full speed ahead in the U.S.
- 9:03market, unveiling a 100 million dollar headquarters in Miami as it expands operations and bets big on Florida's economy.
- 9:14Well, you don't stay.
- 9:17MSC group held its ribbon cutting ceremony for the new North American cruise division headquarters in downtown Miami on Monday, reinforcing a long term commitment to business friendly Florida.
- 9:32MSC is a privately owned global transportation and cruise giant headquartered in Switzerland and is continuing to expand its U.S.
- 9:43footprint.
- 9:46Really interesting to me because people griped about the America first, people on the left.
- 9:52They gripe about the America of the America first agenda.
- 9:58That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
- 10:00Dump Trump.
- 10:02Orange Man bad.
- 10:04Orange Man Nazi.
- 10:08Now he he talked about putting tariffs on other countries for the purpose of driving businesses back to America.
- 10:18He said, I'm I'm tired of America getting ripped off.
- 10:23Yeah, all these other all these other countries, our businesses flee to other countries because our taxes are so insane.
- 10:32It's far more affordable for people to do business, American businesses to do business in other countries like Mexico.
- 10:41So Trump said, I'll fix that.
- 10:44Look what he did with John Deere.
- 10:48He said, we're gonna incentivize you.
- 10:52We're gonna both penalize and incentivize.
- 10:56We're gonna penalize if you if you take your business to other countries.
- 11:00That's fine.
- 11:01We'll just put a tariff on everything coming back into the U.S.
- 11:06But if you build here in the U.S., he basically is saying, I promise we're gonna make it worth your time.
- 11:15And then all of a sudden, all these companies start investing billions of dollars over the next five years, right here in the U.S.
- 11:23Apple did it.
- 11:25Um what other company?
- 11:27Amazon, I think, Prime did it.
- 11:29Uh, there were a bunch of companies that started investing billions of dollars.
- 11:35And interestingly, now you have companies from overseas that are investing where?
- 11:43Right here in America.
- 11:46So this company's headquartered out of Switzerland.
- 11:50And it's also expanding, obviously, here in the United States.
- 11:55So this 100 million dollar investment relocates more than 400 employees, with an additional 1,500 jobs expected to be created over the next three years.
- 12:09Orange man bad.
- 12:15Right?
- 12:16We hear this narrative non-stop.
- 12:19It just never stops, but look at the actual numbers.
- 12:26Look at where people are migrating.
- 12:28Look at where the jobs are popping up.
- 12:32I mean, lots of jobs.
- 12:34I say this all the time.
- 12:36There is no shortage of jobs.
- 12:40And good jobs.
- 12:43Now I know they're uh, you know, we can't be naive.
- 12:47Amazon is laying off, I don't even know how many people I just saw that they announced they're gonna be helping people to transition in certain divisions are gonna be laying off several people.
- 13:01But the unemployment numbers, the the last report that just came out was actually pretty positive.
- 13:08We have less unemployed uh people than than what was expected, less unemployment claims, and it just shows that the the economy is really resilient.
- 13:23But it also shows that there's ample opportunity out there.
- 13:27And I talk about this all the time because I I just I don't think that people believe it.
- 13:32I think they pick up the news that's so biased and and so against everything Trump and his administration and anybody related to him whatsoever, including Ron DeSantis.
- 13:48I mean, Florida gets absolutely bashed.
- 13:52And you look at this and you're like, okay, 1,500 new jobs, and these will be most likely really good paying jobs.
- 14:011,500 new jobs, 400 people relocated who are already employees, and think of all the other businesses that'll be affected.
- 14:12It's gonna be a new 130,000 square foot office.
- 14:17It'll take up the entire seventh floor of block 55 at Sawyer's Walk.
- 14:26And again, it's gonna generate 300 million dollars annually in recurring direct economic impact for Miami Dade County.
- 14:37And yet, people will, you know, they'll find some way, some way to complain about this or talk about how it's fake news or you know, like uh these ships are ruining the ozone layer, they're they're increasing global warming.
- 14:54Like, right, they're gonna find some way to complain about this.
- 15:00And meanwhile, we're getting snow as far as far south as Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, they're they're getting hammered this coming weekend, absolutely hammered with the with a big snowstorm.
- 15:21People still haven't dug out from the last one.
- 15:24Now we're getting another two feet on top of that, plus.
- 15:30So, yeah, it's just it's so wild.
- 15:33And I think that's one of the things, and one of the reasons I wanted to talk about this is because we have to look for opportunity.
- 15:42Right?
- 15:42Because opportunity doesn't just knock on your door and say, here I am.
- 15:48And so a lot of people feel like they're victims, and partially because they've become victims of the media.
- 15:57They've been victims, they've become victims of this narrative that talks about how bad things are.
- 16:03We're we're in this perpetual state of everything being on the brink of uh right uh total collapse and destruction.
- 16:14I keep hearing hearing more about this whole civil war idea.
- 16:18Like, oh my goodness, we're there's so much unrest in the streets.

- 19:42MSC Group, the third largest cruise ship organization in the world.
- 19:50MSC Group.
- 19:52They are re uh not rey are establishing.
- 19:57I almost said re-establishing, but they're establishing.
- 20:01A North American cruise division headquarters in Florida, specifically in Miami.
- 20:09The company is out of Switzerland, and they decided that they really liked what's going on in America.
- 20:16Remember how Trump has this big pamphlet.
- 20:18I love this.
- 20:19He had this big three-ring binder.
- 20:22And he spoke at the summit in uh Davos, Switzerland, right?
- 20:31Ironically, Switzerland.
- 20:32Wasn't this just like a week ago that President Trump was at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland?
- 20:41And don't you find it interesting that a week later, a Swiss company, one of the largest in the world, made an announcement.
- 20:54Hey, we're uh we're coming to America.
- 20:57Don't you find that a little bit, the timing is just a little bit ironic to me.
- 21:03Listen to what they said.
- 21:04This is not my words.
- 21:06It's uh this is from Miami mayor Eileen Higgins.
- 21:11Listen to the messaging, and I want to do a little bit of a contrast here, because I think that's important for us.
- 21:18She said the message is clear.
- 21:21We welcome global companies.
- 21:23Encourage relocation and expansion, and foster an environment where innovation, collaboration, and prosperity can flourish.
- 21:35Now, I'm so confused here.
- 21:39I am totally confused because I thought that President Trump was making enemies of all these nations, that they didn't want to do business with us, that they hate us.
- 21:52They hate America because of Orange Man, Orange Man bad, orange man Nazi, and so all these countries who are allies of ours, they hate us.
- 22:03They don't want anything to do with this.
- 22:05They stomp their feet.
- 22:06They um they walk away from us.
- 22:12Well, we shouldn't look to Canada as the example of how other allies think of America.
- 22:22Didn't Canada just uh try to strike some deal with China?
- 22:27They're getting in bed with China, you know.
- 22:31All Canada had to do was come to the table and say, all right, Mr.
- 22:38Trump, let's make a deal.
- 22:42And I think we would have uh we still do have a good relationship with Canada, but I think that our our our leaders would have a much better relationship if they didn't throw a temper tantrum and talk about how bad America is and how you know they're being mistreated.
- 23:01They would come to the table, and hopefully that'll happen soon.
- 23:04I I was listening to Kevin O'Leary, and he actually is pretty pretty hopeful that that's gonna happen.
- 23:11And I am too.
- 23:13I think it will eventually.
- 23:16But this is the message.
- 23:17Listen, people want to do business with America.
- 23:23Trump is right.
- 23:24When he was there, I think this was at the World Economic Forum.
- 23:29He had this big three ring binder, and he kind of slams it down on on you know, on the podium as he's speaking.
- 23:35He's like, Yeah, I just wanted to bring just a portion of of all the accomplishments that we've made since I've been in office.
- 23:45And uh it's it's this binder just full of facts and deals that he's closed with other nations and other businesses, American businesses, and it's this massive three-ring binder, and he's not wrong to brag about it.
- 24:03I mean, these are major accomplishments, and his point was you're not going to hear about this in in the media.
- 24:10They're gonna talk about how all these countries hate us and they want nothing to do with America.
- 24:16Meanwhile, you have the the CFO or CEO of Toyota wearing a make America great again hat.
- 24:26And he's just he's grinning from ear to ear.
- 24:30And Toyota's happy to do business.
- 24:32They want to do tons of business with America.
- 24:36They've made that abundantly clear that they're investing billions of dollars here in America.
- 24:44You have all these companies from overseas, and they're like, wait, our own taxes kind of stink.
- 24:54We want to go to America where we feel welcomed, and we can collaborate.
- 25:00You know, it's this environment of innovation, according to the uh mayor, Eileen Higgins, mayor of Miami, and she's exactly right.
- 25:12I don't disagree with her here.
- 25:14When you foster an environment where innovation, collaboration, and prosperity can flourish.
- 25:19Guess what happens?
- 25:21Guess where businesses are gonna want to do business.
- 25:27You don't you don't see these companies moving into California?
- 25:31You don't see any of these businesses moving to uh uh New York, right?
- 25:40That it's it's a hostile environment in New York and California.
- 25:46What did Mamdanny campaign on?
- 25:49What was his entire campaign?
- 25:51He's still saying it.
- 25:53We're gonna tax, we're gonna tax those billionaires into oblivion.
- 25:58They're not even gonna basically they're not even gonna know what's hit hitting them.
- 26:02We're gonna tax them so heavily, they're gonna pay their fair share.
- 26:11Can you imagine?
- 26:12Can you imagine as a private individual going on vacation?
- 26:17And that's the message, right?
- 26:20You go to book, you go to book an Airbnb, and then all of a sudden, this big red flashing banner comes up on the screen, and it says, we detected that because you're planning a vacation, you have money, and we're gonna make you pay your fair share.
- 26:35Mark my words, you're gonna pay your fair share.
- 26:40Do you think you're gonna click the uh checkout button?
- 26:44Yeah, this is the one that I I want to go through with this transaction.
- 26:50Think about any business that did that to you.
- 26:53You would run, you would run as fast as you could run.
- 26:58Right?
- 26:59You're you're about to close a deal on a house.
- 27:02You've been you've been negotiating back and forth with a realtor.
- 27:09And you give an offer, and all of a sudden the realtor comes back and says, you know what?
- 27:18This is a pretty expensive house.
- 27:21You must have a lot of money.
- 27:23I'm gonna get my fair share out of you.
- 27:27I'm gonna charge you double fee.
- 27:31And and by the way, the people selling the house, the sellers also notice that you must have a good bit of money because you put a pretty decent offer down, and they want their fair share.
- 27:45They're actually gonna counter and they're increasing your offer by 10%.
- 27:53They're gonna up the you you need to give 10% more.
- 27:57And then you need to, I'm gonna double my fees as the realtor.
- 28:01Um, sign, sign on the dotted line.
- 28:08Not anybody in their right mind would sign on that dotted line.
- 28:12You would run, wouldn't you?
- 28:14You'd be like, I'm not gonna pay.
- 28:16And then, and then the mayor of the town at the same time, you turn the TV on that night, and the mayor's saying, yeah, we're gonna put a wealth tax on anybody who's buying houses in this town, we're gonna put an additional 5% wealth tax.
- 28:33Because after all, the the wealthy should pay their fair share.
- 28:41You would leave that town so quick.
- 28:42Every one of us, if we're being honest, we would leave that town so quick, it wouldn't know it hit it.
- 28:50Nobody in their right mind would put up with that.
- 28:56Now, flip that around.
- 29:00Let's say that you show up, show up to a car dealership, and you find a car, and you, you know, it's it's the car of your dreams, and you're like, man, I really, really hope that somebody doesn't buy this out from under me.
- 29:17This is this is exactly what I'm looking for.
- 29:20Right color, it's the right trim, uh leather interior, like it's exactly what I wanted.
- 29:27Exactly.
- 29:29And I want this so bad I can I can almost taste it.
- 29:34And the salesman comes out and he's like, okay, this is the price on the car, and you say, well, can you know, can you take this offer?
- 29:45Let me go talk to my manager.
- 29:48And he comes back and he says, I can do you one better.
- 29:52We're actually doing a first time car buyer, car purchaser sale, and it's
- 30:00A deal since you've not bought from us before, we're actually going to tack on a five percent bonus.
- 30:08We're gonna reduce the the total cost by five percent.
- 30:14And you're like, what's the catch?
- 30:16Now the catch is here.
- 30:18Let me shake your hand.
- 30:20We appreciate your business.
- 30:21That's the catch.
- 30:24There is no catch.
- 30:26It's not trickery.
- 30:28It's you know, we're not messing with you.
- 30:31We appreciate your business.
- 30:34And we would love to have you come back, but we're not gonna pressure you.
- 30:40But we just wanted to say thank you.
- 30:42Thank you for choosing us.
- 30:45You could have picked any other dealership, but you chose us.
- 30:50So we're gonna give a 5%, a 5% discount.
- 30:56Simply because you chose us.
- 31:00Now let me tell you, which place would you want to do business with?
- 31:09Where are you gonna do business?
- 31:14Are you gonna go to the place where they treat you with respect and they say thank you for your business?
- 31:19Like we want to honor you by choosing us.
- 31:22We actually feel honored that you chose our place.
- 31:26You chose us.
- 31:28We didn't choose you, you chose us.
- 31:32Well, folks, that's exactly what Florida's doing, and that's really what President Trump is doing with America.
- 31:42See, he's a deal maker.
- 31:46He's not eloquent.
- 31:48He's very clearly not traditional.
- 31:53Heck, he's not even presidential.
- 31:56You hear him talk, and it's it's literally like fingernails going across the chalkboard.
- 32:03He just he rambles on, and you never know what he's gonna say, and he says so many inappropriate things, and you're like, what?
- 32:10What is wrong with this guy?
- 32:14But then you look at the deals that he's making and the companies that he's drawn to America and the amount of money, just loads and loads and loads and loads and loads of money being poured into the U.S.
- 32:28economy.
- 32:30That's not because he's charming.
- 32:34He is not.
- 32:36It's because he knows how to get deals done.
- 32:40He knows how to make deals that make businesses worth their while.
- 32:47It makes them feel honored.
- 32:52And he gets this stuff in writing.
- 32:54It's not just a handshake.
- 32:56It's not how this works.
- 32:59He's actively writing policies that make it attractive for businesses to come to America.
- 33:06And so this is what's happening with our allies.
- 33:08This is the reality of what's happening with allies all across the globe.
- 33:15They're like, hey, we better get in line because if if we don't strike while the iron's hot, we might miss the boat.
- 33:23We might not be able to do business in America.
- 33:30Who knows what president we're gonna get after Trump?
- 33:32You know, we have three years, and that's why all these businesses are lining up to do these deals.
- 33:38It's really incredible.
- 33:40I mean, it's something to see.
- 33:42I've never seen anything like this before.
- 33:46I think it's really incredible.
- 33:50So the the move to Florida, it builds on MSC's other recent investments in the area, including opening of what the company is described as North America's largest cruise terminal and the launch of MSC World America from Miami.
- 34:09They even named it World America.
- 34:14These people love America.
- 34:18You know why?
- 34:21Because they're welcomed.
- 34:25They're a hundred percent welcomed.
- 34:28Here's that their CEO, the USA CEO of MSC group, Ruben Rodriguez.
- 34:37Here's what he said in a press release.
- 34:39Our new North American cruise division headquarters reflects the scale of our ambitions.
- 34:46By bringing our teams together under one roof, we're creating an environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose.
- 34:55That sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it?
- 34:57Oh, yeah, that's the exact phraseology that the mayor of Miami said.
- 35:06Fascinating how that works, isn't it?
- 35:10You welcome people, and they feel welcomed.
- 35:14They're like, yeah, we we we want to create this environment that fosters collaboration, innovation, and shared purpose as we continue expanding our footprint, deploying more ships, welcoming more guests, and strengthening our presence across U.S.
- 35:33home ports.
- 35:34I don't know.
- 35:36I'm I'm not prophetic, but I can imagine a company like this is gonna have the money to start building ships.
- 35:46You want to take any guesses as to where they're gonna start building ships.
- 35:57Listen to these numbers.
- 35:59Last year, Port Miami saw a record-breaking eight million five hundred and sixty-four thousand two hundred and twenty-five passengers, more than a four percent year-over-year increase with a record single-day high of more than seventy thousand passengers on November 30.
- 36:25Crazy.
- 36:28Absolutely crazy.
- 36:32When Trump says America's hot, this is what he's talking about.
- 36:37The amount of people, the amount of money, the amount of of money being spent.
- 36:47You want to talk about stimulating the economy.
- 36:49This is this is doing it.
- 36:52But this is happening because Florida opens up their, they open up their arms.
- 36:57And now these numbers are gonna shoot way up, even more.
- 37:02And now, if we can get them to start building ships, I guarantee right now, already companies are lining up, and they're gonna be like, all right, how do we make this happen?
- 37:12We have all this increased traffic.
- 37:15Believe me, people have their eye on on these numbers.
- 37:19And they're looking for their next move.
- 37:21This is why the wealthy get wealthier, they see opportunity.

- 39:08The American experiment was a stroke of genius in a world of oppressors.
- 39:13July 4th, 2026 marks 250 years since the sign-in of the Declaration of Independence.
- 39:23America out loud dot news is that place to awaken your heart, soul, and mind to the outlook.
- 39:46That Orange Man has ruined everything.
- 39:48On and on it goes, and now we're seeing a very different story emerge.
- 39:53One that's promising, that's hopeful for America.
- 39:58Real actual business.
- 40:00Businesses are putting real actual money into our economy.
- 40:08Real companies are employing real people.
- 40:12Companies are moving to America from overseas and lots of them.
- 40:18That means more American jobs.
- 40:22You see, this was the big, this was the narrative from the racist left.
- 40:27It's so funny because everybody's a racist, and these immigration policies are racist.
- 40:34And then you get you get replies like, well, who's going to do the farming?
- 40:42Right?
- 40:43You're getting rid of the illegals.
- 40:46Who's going to pick, who's going to pick fruit out in the field?
- 40:51Do you realize how racist that is?
- 40:56I mean, uh, it's so unbelievable.
- 40:58And I wanted to do a little bit of a contrast because I think it's really important.
- 41:04You see, we America, America right now, is opening up its arms to businesses.
- 41:13It's saying, hey, we want to welcome you, we want to bring you in, uh, we want to employ more people.
- 41:19We want to make it friendly in America for people to do business.
- 41:24And then you have certain states, Florida being one of them, Texas, definitely one of them.
- 41:29And they're opening up their arms, and they're saying, hey, we want uh, we want to be friendly towards businesses in our states.
- 41:38You know, we're glad that you're coming to America, but we we want you to come to our state, and we're gonna do everything that we can to make you feel warm and welcome.
- 41:49Meanwhile, people on the left are saying, well, we need to welcome people into our country.
- 41:59Open borders, open borders, open borders.
- 42:04You know, and and then the question is, and Greg Abbott was was the one who really pushed this.
- 42:12All right, who takes care of them?
- 42:15You have millions of people under Joseph Biden who poured over the border, if fentanyl out of control, you have human trafficking, sex trafficking, out of control, absolutely out of control, people literally taking over in the south part of Texas, farmers that are having to arm themselves, crops being utterly destroyed, their livelihoods down the down the tubes, and Abbott says, all right, who's gonna take care of them?
- 43:00Well, it's the Christian thing to do.
- 43:03You open up your arms and that no, no, no, no.
- 43:06Who specifically is gonna house them?
- 43:11Where are they gonna live?
- 43:14How are they gonna eat?
- 43:16How are they gonna get jobs?
- 43:18How are they gonna survive?
- 43:22Well, the Christian thing to do is to open up your arms, and you know, all of a sudden now they're Christians.
- 43:27You know, what open up your arms, and that's what would Jesus do.
- 43:33Meanwhile, it just created a disaster.
- 43:36And Abbott started shipping and busting um shipping metaphorically, but he was busting illegals up to uh the sanctuary cities in the Northeast, New York City, Boston.
- 43:57All of a sudden, they didn't want them.
- 44:02Well, this is a problem.
- 44:05We can't take care of them, we don't have the resources.
- 44:10And Abbott was like, yeah, that's the point.
- 44:15You want to have a wide open border.
- 44:19You point the finger at your constantly pointing the finger at other people, telling other people what they need to be doing.
- 44:30Meanwhile, I'm giving you the opportunity to take care of illegals, right?
- 44:34That's what you say.
- 44:35They're migrants.
- 44:37We need to take care of them, okay, then take care of them.
- 44:43Here, I'm literally giving you the opportunity to take care of them.
- 44:49And what did the sanctuary cities do?
- 44:52They sued, they sued the state of Texas.
- 44:58Like, we we can't, we can't take care of them.
- 45:02We can't do that.
- 45:06And I think Abbott was the one who said, well, then open up your homes.
- 45:10You say you want to take care of them, you say it's the right thing to do, it's the Christian thing to do, then do it.
- 45:15Nobody's stopping you.
- 45:17Take care of them.
- 45:20And it puts such a strain on the on the economy.
- 45:27And it's not the fault of the people who poured across the border.
- 45:31Biden made it very clear that he was welcoming them.
- 45:37Right?
- 45:37We we want you, and so look at the people who are welcomed by the left policies.
- 45:49It's the there's no plan, there's no plan of action, there's there's no absolutely zero direction whatsoever.
- 45:57None.
- 46:01I mean, none.
- 46:02And it put a lot of vulnerable people into very vulnerable positions, and it's heartbreaking.
- 46:10I mean, when when you see what actually happens, that's what uh Holman talks about that too.
- 46:15And he's like, yeah, like if you would see the condition that these people are in, it's absolutely horrible.
- 46:23People in the back of these containers, 130 degrees inside, and they're they're packed in like sardines.
- 46:32He's like, this is the kind of stuff that we see on the border by the people who say we need to be more humane to to the migrants.
- 46:40We need to open open up our arms and be welcoming.
- 46:47See, the conditions of these people are often very, very, very, very bad.
- 46:55But the left doesn't, they don't want you to hear that.
- 46:59They show the pictures, you remember that they went to the they went to the border back under President Trump's first term, and they were shown how bad the conditions were, and it's just so it's so inhumane, and it's so horrible.
- 47:12These detention centers, they're the worst, and orange man's the worst, and they're separating parents from kids, and meanwhile, we have literally 300,000 missing kids that the Trump administration, they're actively looking for these kids that are unaccounted for.
- 47:55We want productivity, we want everybody to succeed, we want jobs that are available, we want so many jobs available that you can literally turn your head and just pick one, and you'll be all right, you'll be able to provide for your family.
- 48:11We want to get rid of the fentanyl because we we're tired of losing people, not just to death, but mentally.
- 48:23I mean, it's when when you're addicted to drugs, when that's your lifestyle, look at the strain that it puts on everybody, everybody and and and everything.
- 48:39It just taxes everybody.
- 48:45The amount of money that it takes.
- 48:50The cost is massive, it's colossal.
- 48:55When you have people addicted to drugs and and they're committing crimes and the homelessness crisis, like it's so costly, so so costly.
- 49:07The cost on the medical system.
- 49:09I mean, literally, it strains every part of our economy.
- 49:14And Trump is saying, no, we want we want to welcome businesses.
- 49:18We want people to be clean, we want them to not be addicted to drugs and alcohol.
- 49:25He just kind of joked the other day, and of course, everybody lost their minds, but he joked about bringing back the prohibition act, which didn't work.
- 49:34It actually made things much worse.
- 49:38People started bootlegging liquor, then you had your gangs and all that stuff.
- 49:44You know, it didn't work.
- 49:45He knows that.
- 49:46He's not dumb.
- 49:49But he was making a point.
- 49:51Like it doesn't benefit people to be addicted to alcohol.
- 49:54And we've got a real problem.
- 49:58It's creating a lot of problems.
- 50:00In a lot of sectors, and we got a cleaner act up.
- 50:05That's the message.
- 50:08So you look at who and what is being invited under the Trump administration.
- 50:13Trump is saying, hey, we need to build.
- 50:16We need to build America back.
- 50:18We need to bring industries back.
- 50:22They've been oppressed for far too long.
- 50:25And it's it's always like tax the rich.
- 50:27Okay, tax them for what?
- 50:32We need some way to fund, you know, fill in the blank.
- 50:35We need the subsidies.
- 50:39Speaking of subsidies, this is kind of interesting.
- 50:41I saw another article that General Motors took a $7 billion hit after they shifted their EV strategy because of get this, slowing demand.
- 50:59Trump lifted all these restrictions on companies.
- 51:05Remember the whole forcing them to go electric.
- 51:09Well, he lifted those restrictions.
- 51:11He rolled back the federal emissions rules.
- 51:15And now companies are like, all right, full Throttle, let's go.
- 51:21So GM expects to save up to $750 million from throwback of federal emissions rules under the Trump administration.
- 51:30They're also investing in non-EV cars.
- 51:36You know, the traditional gas-powered cars that President Obama said nobody wants.
- 51:44Biden said the same thing.
- 51:45Nobody wants to drive those.
- 51:49Turns out.
- 51:51No, they don't.
- 51:54There was a $7500 subsidy.
- 51:58Tax you and I were paying for this.
- 52:01$0,500 EV tax credit for consumers.
- 52:07Trump removed that at the end of September.
- 52:11Which I think needed to happen.
- 52:13That's a good thing.
- 52:15If you have to subsidize something just for it to be affordable, it's not affordable.
- 52:23I don't want my taxes.
- 52:25Increase taxes, more taxes, more taxes.
- 52:29For what?
- 52:32So that I can help pay somebody else's car payment?
- 52:35No, thanks.
- 52:38Take from take from everybody, make them pay their fair share so that we can give subsidies for people to buy a vehicle that nobody wanted in the first place.
- 52:48Okay.
- 52:50It makes no sense.
- 52:53So at least we have common sense policies now.
- 52:58And that's that's exactly what these are.
- 53:02They're common sense policies that are increasing our economy.
- 53:07They're making the economy better.
- 53:09I think it's good for America.
- 53:11I think it's good for you and I, it's good for taxpayers.
- 53:15And we're going to see the economy continue to boom.
- 53:17So what GM's doing, they're they're willing to take a $7.2 billion hit so that they can restructure their company and actually make cars that people want.
- 53:32Now, if they can step up their engineering a little bit and actually build something that lasts, then we'll be doing all right.
- 53:45But uh, yeah, really interesting stuff.
- 53:48And the other thing is GM expects that its tariff cost will be between three and four billion dollars this year.
- 53:58And then it's gonna partially offset that through mitigation measures.
- 54:05In 2025, it offset 40% of its gross tariff costs through shifting factory work and cutting other costs.
- 54:15So that's what I mean.
- 54:16It's it's the adaptability, and again, keep in mind the tariffs were meant to drive businesses to bring production back here to the United States.
- 54:28And it's gonna kind of naturally work out where these companies are bringing, they're bringing business back to the U.S.
- 54:38GM was buying a lot of parts overseas, a lot of car companies were doing that, putting production plants overseas in Mexico and so forth.
- 54:50So it's about time that we come back.
- 54:53But this happens by being friendly.
- 54:56It happens by shaking hands with people, making deals with people.
- 54:59Nobody does that better than President Trump.
- 55:01I don't care what anybody says, nobody does it better than him.
- 55:07I mean, he is the negotiator in chief.
- 55:12And this is what's happening.
- 55:13The economy is hot.
- 55:14It really is.
- 55:17So again, there will be a correction at some point, I'm sure of that.
- 55:22But meanwhile, I don't know if you looked.
- 55:25Stock market just keeps grinding and grinding and grinding little by little.
- 55:31Keeps hitting new high after new high.
- 55:35And it's because people are investing.
- 55:37They're investing in America.
- 55:42Made America.
- 55:44Uh, it's really interesting to see this all unfold.
- 55:47And uh I'm so thankful that there are so many jobs that are available.
- 55:53And if people don't take advantage of this soon, uh you just can't sleep at the wheel.
- 56:01People got to wake up and start taking advantage of these opportunities.
- 56:07The companies are sure doing it.
- 56:09Left and right, these companies, I mean, these are huge companies.
- 56:15They're investing billions and billions and even trillions in the U.S.
- 56:20economy over the next five to ten years.
- 56:23What does that tell you?
- 56:25You know, we have to look at the big picture here.
- 56:29You have to say maybe this actually is a good thing for America.
- 56:35I happen to think it is, and uh just proud to be an American.
- 56:41It's uh just such a blessing.
- 56:45A lot of good things going on.
- 56:47So I wanted to share this.
- 56:48I thought it was really cool.
- 56:50And uh hope you have a good weekend, folks.
- 56:52You can find more out about my show and get all the latest podcasts if you go to the menu navigation bar at America Outloud.news under our shows or schedule.
