- 0:43Sean McAllister: We had never had a Malasada.
- 0:45Sean McAllister: Do you know what that is?
- 0:46Sean McAllister: We have a bakery in town that makes them fresh and they're expanding.

- 0:57Dayna Roselli: Details on that coming up.
- 0:59Sean McAllister: And more fireworks announced.
- 1:01Sean McAllister: We are the place to be to light up the sky this summer.
- 1:05Dayna Roselli: Let's get to it now on Vegas Revealed.
- 1:08Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 322.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: Dana Roselli and Sean McAllister here.
- 1:15Dayna Roselli: Hey, Sean, wanted to start out by uh reading a couple reviews.
- 1:18Dayna Roselli: I don't check for reviews often, but I noticed I was looking at something and I was like, oh my gosh, we have a couple new reviews, and I was just really honored.
- 1:25Dayna Roselli: One of them coming from Canada.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: Um, and they say, have a vacation home in Vegas and listen to the show to learn what's new in Las Vegas.
- 1:33Dayna Roselli: Have been to or tried many of the recommendations from the show.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: So thank you.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: Oh, well, thank you.
- 1:38Sean McAllister: Whoever wrote that from Canada, let us know if you don't mind.
- 1:43Sean McAllister: Send us a text down in our show notes.
- 1:45Sean McAllister: We've got a link where you can text us and let us know uh more specifics on some of the things that you've tried.
- 1:50Sean McAllister: I'm interested to know that.
- 1:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was from Matthew uh James out of Canada.
- 1:55Dayna Roselli: Um, and then Sky Dog wrote and left us a review.
- 1:58Dayna Roselli: Thank you, Sky Dog, from the United States.
- 2:01Dayna Roselli: This is a uh my go-to podcast for what's happening in Vegas.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: It's very informative, entertaining, and full of useful insights.
- 2:08Dayna Roselli: I love listening to the show when I exercise.
- 2:11Dayna Roselli: It's a great distraction and always puts me in a good mood.
- 2:14Dayna Roselli: So thank you.
- 2:15Dayna Roselli: Oh yeah, so appreciate reviews.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: If you can leave us one, it kind of helps elevate the podcast and gets it into the algorithm and that kind of thing.
- 2:22Dayna Roselli: So it's helpful.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: It does.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: And glad that um we can be a mood booster too.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: I know.
- 2:27Sean McAllister: While you're working out, there's several people we've talked to who who say that they listen while they're either at the gym or out on a physical run outside.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: And sometimes when we've done shorter episodes, they were like, Oh my gosh, I was only halfway done with my run and I didn't know what to listen to next.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 2:45Dayna Roselli: Because I mean, sometimes you've got a great playlist, but as you keep playing it over and over, the me you're like, okay, I need to start listening to something else.
- 2:52Dayna Roselli: And so podcasts are great for that.
- 2:54Sean McAllister: And it does help pass the time.
- 2:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it really does.
- 2:57Dayna Roselli: And if you love Las Vegas or you live here, we are thank you for we, you know, we've got um, it's interesting, our number two market of listeners is now from New York City.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:05Dayna Roselli: We have a br like it just kind of like surged over the last like six months.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: So we have lots of folks from New York City listening to Vegas Revealed.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: So hello, and then of course, a lot from Los Angeles, Phoenix, Seattle, Chicago, um, all these places all around Nevada and uh California as well.
- 3:22Sean McAllister: Well, if you are uh just starting your workout and listening, then keep going.
- 3:27Sean McAllister: Yes, you're doing good.
- 3:29Dayna Roselli: People love to know about free things happening in Vegas.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: We mentioned uh the big firework shows that are gonna be taking place here in Las Vegas in June and July every Saturday.
- 3:38Dayna Roselli: Uh they're gonna move around.
- 3:39Dayna Roselli: Three properties are gonna do fireworks um on 4th of July.
- 3:43Dayna Roselli: Nine properties are shooting them off.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: But the Plaza announced that they're still doing their Friday night free shows as well.
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: It's their welcome to the weekend summer Friday firework shows.
- 3:52Dayna Roselli: Those are at 9 10 p.m.
- 3:54Dayna Roselli: They start June 5th and it will run through September 4th every Friday evening.
- 3:59Sean McAllister: Yeah, this is the third year that Plaza has done these Friday night firework shows, and it really has added an extra level of excitement and entertainment to the Fremont Street district down in downtown.
- 4:13Dayna Roselli: Yeah, really, you're right.
- 4:14Dayna Roselli: It it has.
- 4:15Dayna Roselli: And, you know, 9 10.
- 4:17Dayna Roselli: Sometimes people like, I don't want to wait till 9-10.
- 4:19Dayna Roselli: Well, they're starting a rooftop party this year at 7 p.m.
- 4:22Dayna Roselli: It's kind of like a new addition.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: So um it's gonna have, you know, great views of the fireworks, but they're also gonna have bites from the plaza's food truck, some frosty cocktails from the pool's full service bar.
- 4:33Dayna Roselli: So it sounds like a lot of fun.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: I mean, that's a good Vegas night.
- 4:37Sean McAllister: It is.
- 4:38Sean McAllister: I think we might need to do a Friday night firework night downtown at the plaza pool.
- 4:43Sean McAllister: And if you so the plaza pool is obviously a great option to watch those fireworks, but another great firework watching spot down there is at the Legacy Club at the top of Circa.
- 4:55SPEAKER_03: Great.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: And so either one of those spots you're gonna get prime views.
- 5:00Sean McAllister: It at a legacy club, the fireworks are gonna be like at your level, or you might even be a little higher than the fireworks.
- 5:07Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 5:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I wonder.
- 5:09Dayna Roselli: We'll have to go do do all that one night.
- 5:11Dayna Roselli: We haven't well, it's just the beginning of summer, really.
- 5:14Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: So it feels like it's been summer for a while.
- 5:16Sean McAllister: It does.
- 5:17Sean McAllister: We've been talking about summer for weeks now.
- 5:20Dayna Roselli: Well, speaking of Fremont Street, they're uh continuing to do their free concert series.
- 5:24Dayna Roselli: So FYI, if you love the downtown rock summer concert series, um they have a full lineup uh starting May 30th, running through October 10th.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: They do them on Saturdays.
- 5:34Dayna Roselli: Lots of great bands there, and um, you can go check out some free entertainment.
- 5:38Dayna Roselli: They always have so much free entertainment on Fremont, but they really highlight these, you know, this rundown of bands for a concert series that takes place all summer long.
- 5:48Sean McAllister: Yeah, Fuel is on the lineup on June 13th.
- 5:51Sean McAllister: They're a great band.
- 5:52Sean McAllister: Finger 11.
- 5:53Sean McAllister: That's a band from Canada.
- 5:54Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 5:55Sean McAllister: So if you are a Canada listener and you're planning a trip down this summer, uh June 27th might be the the time to stop by.
- 6:05Sean McAllister: Um then as we round out summer and head into fall, Lauren Elena and Carly Pierce, some country musicians, are uh taking the stage September 26th.
- 6:14Sean McAllister: And the used will be performing on October 10th.
- 6:18Dayna Roselli: Ooh, that's a good one, yeah.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: All right.
- 6:20Dayna Roselli: Well, you know, we mentioned in the open um about T-Mobile Arena celebrating 10 years.
- 6:25Dayna Roselli: Uh, I know that you and I, when we got the release uh a couple months ago, we were like, no way.
- 6:30Sean McAllister: You gotta be kidding.
- 6:31Dayna Roselli: I just I really can't believe that.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: Um we said that with Red Rock being, you know, the 20 years.
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: But like, is it been like 20 years, 10 years?
- 6:38Dayna Roselli: It's crazy how long we've been in Las Vegas.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: Um but you know, you and I were both there uh at the opening of Team Mobile Arena, and so many great things have happened there over the years.
- 6:49Dayna Roselli: But not only that, they've also uh sold uh nearly a million hot dogs and poured five million fountain drinks.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: I love these statistics that they sent over.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: But we did go over there to learn more about what goes into all of this.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: I mean, they're changing, you know, we've got a hockey team and they got to put the ice down.
- 7:08Dayna Roselli: Well, we thought that I thought they laid the ice down.
- 7:11Dayna Roselli: I didn't realize it's underneath.
- 7:12Sean McAllister: Every single time.
- 7:13Dayna Roselli: It's I didn't realize it's underneath.
- 7:15Sean McAllister: It's underneath.
- 7:15Dayna Roselli: So I learned all these little things.
- 7:17Dayna Roselli: Should we roll the story, then we'll talk about it?
- 7:19Sean McAllister: Uh yeah, because it's a whole production.
- 7:21Sean McAllister: The the show that you go to see is a production, but what gets to that point is also a production that you don't see.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: So check this out.
- 7:30Sean McAllister: A decade in the desert.
- 7:32Sean McAllister: T-Mobile Arena celebrates a milestone this year, delivering 10 years of incredible entertainment.
- 7:38SPEAKER_05: It has gone by so fast, right?
- 7:40SPEAKER_05: Just exciting times from start to finish.
- 7:43Sean McAllister: The arena opened in April of 2016 with Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Venucci of The Killers on Hand.
- 7:49Sean McAllister: One month later, the Billboard Awards became the first nationally televised award show held at the new venue.
- 7:56SPEAKER_05: We have the red carpet coming through right here where we are, right?
- 7:58SPEAKER_05: And going through the arena.
- 8:00SPEAKER_05: That was amazing.
- 8:00SPEAKER_05: That was just in the first couple of months of T-Mobile being opened.
- 8:04Sean McAllister: Since then, more than 12.6 million tickets have been sold for events at T-Mobile Arena.
- 8:10Sean McAllister: That's more than$2 billion in revenue for nearly 500 concerts, more than 400 Golden Knights games, 35 UFC, and 21 boxing events.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: With all that action, the setup and teardown of the arena is a show itself.
- 8:28SPEAKER_05: So you guys only see the hour that it takes in one or two hours of events, but there's at least a month of coordinating one event to the other.
- 8:35SPEAKER_05: The conversion, the production, the advanced process to a show coming in, and then to convert from one event to the other takes about six hours.
- 8:43SPEAKER_05: And one thing to keep in mind is we always have ice underneath the floor.
- 8:46Sean McAllister: Check it out.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: This conversion happened for the Frozen 4 College Hockey Tournament.
- 8:51Sean McAllister: Then the ice had to be prepped for the Golden Knight, with WWE's SmackDown next up on T-Mobile's calendar.
- 8:59SPEAKER_05: So all summer long that ice stays there.
- 9:01SPEAKER_05: All summer well, till we get the cup again.
- 9:03SPEAKER_05: And then we take it out.
- 9:04SPEAKER_05: Then you can lay down a new layer of championship ice.
- 9:07SPEAKER_05: That's right, for another season.
- 9:08Sean McAllister: Speaking of championships, T-Mobile Arena and the Toshiba Plaza saw Las Vegas' first ever Stanley Cup win.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: Yep, that's us down in that crazy crowd.
- 9:24Sean McAllister: That was followed up with a championship rally right in front of the arena.
- 9:29SPEAKER_05: Where we're standing, this is where we had the celebration on the plaza, right?
- 9:32SPEAKER_05: We had a stage right there in front of our doors.
- 9:34SPEAKER_05: We brought the castle in and fireworks and drones and all of that stuff.
- 9:37SPEAKER_05: It was just unbelievable.
- 9:39SPEAKER_05: What do the next 10 years hold?
- 9:41SPEAKER_05: Obviously, no secret at the NBA that we're talking about that, you know, and hopefully we'll have it here.
- 9:46SPEAKER_05: We're ready, we're NBA ready in this arena.
- 9:48SPEAKER_05: So let's make it happen.
- 9:49Sean McAllister: And we all have an invitation to be part of the T-Mobile Arena family for the next decade.
- 9:55SPEAKER_05: Come here.
- 9:55SPEAKER_05: We'll treat you right, your family while you're here, and that's how we treat our staff, our guests, and everybody, all our vendors and partners as well.
- 10:04Dayna Roselli: Alright, so a lot of that visu uh is a little bit visual, FYI.
- 10:08Dayna Roselli: You can go to our YouTube page to see, because you you'll want to see the time lapse of a changeover.
- 10:12Dayna Roselli: It's really cool.
- 10:13Sean McAllister: Yeah, it went from uh the Frozen 4 hockey, uh college hockey tournament to the Golden Knights to uh WWE event, back to Golden Knights, back to another WWE event, and then more hockey after that.
- 10:28Sean McAllister: I mean, it's insane how quickly they turn that over.
- 10:33Sean McAllister: And there's time-lapse video showing you what it looks like in real well, not real time, but it shows you the the changeover.
- 10:40Sean McAllister: It's really cool.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: And I felt so dumb thinking, like, oh yeah, duh, the the ice is underneath.
- 10:46Dayna Roselli: I always wonder that.
- 10:47Dayna Roselli: Like, how do I get the ice back out there?
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: I don't know what I was thinking.
- 10:50Dayna Roselli: But yeah, and you've got to move like the seats and stuff because when you put a stage up for a concert or whatever, yeah, like some of the seats get pushed back and you gotta set up.
- 10:58Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's quite a production.
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: We've said it before on the podcast.
- 11:01Dayna Roselli: Uh the staff at Team Mobile Arena, the the this they're just amazing.
- 11:06Dayna Roselli: They're friendly, upbeat, helpful.
- 11:08Dayna Roselli: Uh, they just do a great job over there.
- 11:10Dayna Roselli: So we look forward to 10 more years.
- 11:11Dayna Roselli: I got a lot of good things coming up this year.
- 11:13Sean McAllister: Well, and something that I didn't even realize so when you leave a concert or a hockey game, the staff is always out there waving and saying, Thanks for coming, see you next time.
- 11:25Sean McAllister: But if you're at a hockey, a golden knights game, and the team wins, the staff are waving to you, but they're standing in a V formation to symbolize the victory.
- 11:37Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 11:38Sean McAllister: And I don't think that I've ever noticed that.
- 11:40Dayna Roselli: I don't I don't think I've noticed that either.
- 11:43Sean McAllister: Such attention to detail that they pay over at T-Mobile Arena, it's really cool.
- 11:48Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it is.
- 11:50Dayna Roselli: Um, listen, since we're launching in Hawaii soon, we wanted to share um some details about a place that opened here a year ago.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: They're actually just celebrating one year.
- 12:00Dayna Roselli: Pipeline Malasadas.
- 12:02Dayna Roselli: And we didn't, I didn't know, I think you might have known what a Malasada was.
- 12:08Dayna Roselli: And again, I felt like, wow, how do I not know this?
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: But it's kind of like a Hawaiian donut, actually like a Portuguese donut.
- 12:15Dayna Roselli: And we're gonna get all into all that when we share the interview.
- 12:17Dayna Roselli: But um, we went over to Pipeline, who they're just doing so well over there.
- 12:21Dayna Roselli: They're gonna expand to the east side of Vegas now, and it's owned by a woman who also has a bake shop in Hawaii.
- 12:29Sean McAllister: Yeah, Gayla Young, she opened uh Pipeline Malasadas uh in Honolulu, Oahu, uh 10 years ago.
- 12:37Sean McAllister: So a long-standing uh bake shop there on Oahu, big following, and then came here to Las Vegas and said, Hey, there's so many islanders who now call Las Vegas home and visit Las Vegas all the time.
- 12:54Sean McAllister: How about I bring a taste of Hawaii to Las Vegas with my malasadas?
- 12:58Sean McAllister: And that's exactly what she did.
- 13:00Sean McAllister: And we stopped over to get the full story and try the malasadas ourselves.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: But what makes them unique is the texture.
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: So a malasada is known for its crispy exterior and super super fluffy interior.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: So in Hawaii, traditionally you just eat them coated in sugar.
- 13:28SPEAKER_02: We were soft opening, we were figuring everything out, we're testing things out, everyone that fit into them was like, oh, this is amazing.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: But what's inside?
- 13:37SPEAKER_02: And they're like, where's the filming?
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: And and so we decided to fill them.
- 13:40SPEAKER_02: And so all of our custards we make here are we don't use any artificial flavoring.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: You know, we'll have two standard flavors.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: We'll do like a custard and a chocolate every month.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: And then every month we have one island flavor, which we call the Kama Aina.
- 13:53SPEAKER_02: That means local, and one mainland flavor.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: The beauty for me, honestly, in the validation was when I had people that haven't been home in the islands for decades.
- 14:03SPEAKER_02: And they take one bite of my mama samala, and they're like, wow, I feel like I'm back home.
- 14:07SPEAKER_02: And I haven't had anything like that in years.
- 14:09SPEAKER_02: And that was the goal is to share the taste of alumba with everybody.
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: Knowing that when you bite a mama samala, it's like you're transported to the islands.
- 14:15SPEAKER_02: Because that's what Hawaii is all about.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: It's food and culture and family, and then you always have mala samadas at events in Hawaii.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: So when you come in, do you order like a bunch?
- 14:23SPEAKER_02: Can you order one?
- 14:25SPEAKER_02: You can order them individually, you can get them in the box.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: The more you order, the cheaper they get, of course.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: Um, you can mix and match however you want.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: You can do them all sugar.
- 14:32SPEAKER_02: We have 10 different flavors at one time.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: Six different sugar flavors, four different filling flavors.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: You can get a box of six, twelve or eighteen.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: You can come and get one if you want them.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: But um, they're really meant to be eaten right away when they're warm.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: That's the beauty of it.
- 14:45SPEAKER_01: I like it because it's authentic, you know, and this is something you cannot find just anywhere.
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: It's really good and tasty.
- 14:53Dayna Roselli: Um, I just love Gayla's vibe, and I love that she's confident in her malasada.
- 14:58Dayna Roselli: She knows they're good.
- 14:59Sean McAllister: Absolutely does.
- 15:01Dayna Roselli: And I loved watching them.
- 15:02Dayna Roselli: Again, you can go to our YouTube, we're gonna post this at some point, um, the visual story, um, where you can actually see the malasadas being filled.
- 15:10Dayna Roselli: It was a really cool process to watch.
- 15:12Sean McAllister: And boy, they really are delicious.
- 15:14Sean McAllister: So pillowy soft inside.
- 15:18Dayna Roselli: And yeah, and she's right, when they're warm, it's the best.
- 15:20Dayna Roselli: And people were coming in and just like getting one in a baggie.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: It's like, you know, lunch break time or whatever.
- 15:25Dayna Roselli: And she said they're open pretty late too, so people come at night.
- 15:28Sean McAllister: It's a great treat.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: She said also uh businesses, uh, people will come in and get uh a dozen malasadas or two dozen and take them around to other partner businesses as a as a thank you for doing doing stuff together.
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, it's good for her.
- 15:46Sean McAllister: It's great for everyone who's having a malasada that day.
- 15:48Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 15:50Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so she's opening one on the east side of Las Vegas.
- 15:52Dayna Roselli: She said like Silverado area, so good for her.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: So she'll have two in Las Vegas, one in Hawaii.
- 15:58Dayna Roselli: She goes back and forth.
- 15:59Dayna Roselli: Um, we were excited to to chat with her and and talk all about, you know, even Hawaii culture and stuff, since we're gonna be airing our television show there uh starting mid-June.
- 16:09Dayna Roselli: So it was fun to learn more about the Malasada.
- 16:12Sean McAllister: And by the way, if you are listening in Hawaii or have friends or family who are on the islands, uh Vegas Revealed on TV is going to be airing on Kiku TV uh starting June 14th.
- 16:25Sean McAllister: Every Sunday at 6 30 p.m.
- 16:27Sean McAllister: We're gonna be right in between the uh evening news.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: Yeah, we're really excited about it.
- 16:32Dayna Roselli: I can't wait.
- 16:33Dayna Roselli: It feels like I keep waiting for the launch.
- 16:35Dayna Roselli: Like it feels like it's coming up, coming up, coming.
- 16:37Dayna Roselli: I'm ready for it to happen already.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: I'm excited to see uh what Hawaii thinks of Vegas revealed.
- 16:41Dayna Roselli: I think they're really gonna enjoy it.
- 16:42Sean McAllister: I hope so.
- 16:44Sean McAllister: Hey, uh something else that Las Vegas and Vegas visitors have enjoyed for 14 years is Carlos Santana and his residency over at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay just announced even more shows heading into fall.
- 17:00Sean McAllister: Carlos is one of a kind.
- 17:02Sean McAllister: He has stories, his music takes you on a spiritual journey.
- 17:08Dayna Roselli: Yeah, just watching him play guitar is amazing.
- 17:10Sean McAllister: It is.
- 17:11Dayna Roselli: It's great.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: Shows begin at uh 8 p.m.
- 17:14Dayna Roselli: Tickets are on sale now.
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: Um yeah, so if you uh we're excited that he's extended.
- 17:19Dayna Roselli: And it's been 14 years at House of Blues, but even before that, he was doing I saw him, I think we talked about this at um The Hard Rock.
- 17:26Sean McAllister: Yes, I remember seeing him there too.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was good.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: That was the one time I did see him, actually.
- 17:30Dayna Roselli: It was a great show.
- 17:31Sean McAllister: He was at the joint, yeah.
- 17:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, Matt Reif is popular, he's a comedian, and a lot of people watch his Netflix special and stuff like that.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: Well, he's doing a tour stop here in Las Vegas.
- 17:40Dayna Roselli: Um, it's his Stay Golden World tour.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: He's coming to Dolby Live at Park MGM on Friday, December 4th.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: Those tickets might go quick.
- 17:47Dayna Roselli: So if you're interested to see comedian Matt Reif and Sir Roger Daltrey bringing his uh solo tour called A Great Night Out to Las Vegas.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: This is this summer.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: This is at the Encore Theater at Win Las Vegas.
- 18:01Dayna Roselli: This is for three nights at the end of August.
- 18:03Dayna Roselli: Tickets are on sale now for that too.
- 18:05Dayna Roselli: So just a few shows we wanted to mention that kind of stuck out.
- 18:08Sean McAllister: Roger Daltrey, a rock music legend.
- 18:10Sean McAllister: So now's the time to see him uh this summer over at Wynn.
- 18:16Dayna Roselli: All right, it's time for some celebrity news with a Vegas twist.
- 18:22Sean McAllister: So back in the day, uh Evil Knievel made headlines for his death-defying stunts.
- 18:30Sean McAllister: And I mean, a few times he almost didn't defy death.
- 18:34Sean McAllister: True.
- 18:34Sean McAllister: Uh which made him famous.
- 18:36Sean McAllister: Which made him famous.
- 18:37Sean McAllister: He had some pretty gnarly crashes.
- 18:39Sean McAllister: Uh, one of them here in Las Vegas over at uh Caesar's Palace, jumping the fountains.
- 18:44Sean McAllister: Uh well, now there's an evil can experience on a motorcycle.
- 18:48Sean McAllister: On a motorcycle, yes.
- 18:50Sean McAllister: He didn't just run and jump.
- 18:51Sean McAllister: This was on a motorcycle.
- 18:53SPEAKER_03: Was it like hit the trampoline and bounce and see how far he can go?
- 18:56SPEAKER_03: Okay, sorry.
- 18:57Sean McAllister: It wasn't one of those.
- 18:58Sean McAllister: Okay.
- 18:59Sean McAllister: No, I should have I should have prefaced that because some listeners might not be familiar with evil can evil.
- 19:04Sean McAllister: He might have been before their time.
- 19:06Sean McAllister: Uh, but yeah, uh a new interactive museum uh dedicated to America's original Daredevil has been announced.
- 19:14Sean McAllister: It's supposed to open June 27th in downtown Las Vegas in the arts district.
- 19:19Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I think we just recently drove by there and I pointed it out, right?
- 19:22Dayna Roselli: I was like, oh look, that's where the museum's gonna be.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: Yes.
- 19:24Dayna Roselli: It's a good spot.
- 19:26Dayna Roselli: That's exciting.
- 19:27Dayna Roselli: I think a lot I love when we have these specialized museums because they do well.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: People sometimes go, why don't we, you know, like, why are you getting a mob museum?
- 19:34Dayna Roselli: It's like, or you know, and then it's like you can't you turn them away.
- 19:38Dayna Roselli: That's how busy it is.
- 19:39Dayna Roselli: Um, so I think this will be oh, I I drove by the haunted museum the other day too, and I never really knew where it was.
- 19:45Sean McAllister: Yeah, right there on it's on Charleston, right?
- 19:47Sean McAllister: Yes, yes.
- 19:48Dayna Roselli: And I was like, it was busy in the middle of the day.
- 19:50Dayna Roselli: But again, thinking about you know what, these specialized museums are really cool to have here.
- 19:55Sean McAllister: Yeah, people love that.
- 19:56Sean McAllister: They do that place is always busy.
- 19:58Dayna Roselli: So we're excited to see um what this looks like inside and all the different experiences that it's gonna showcase.
- 20:03Dayna Roselli: But again, yeah, the June 27th uh time frame is when it's supposed to open here in Las Vegas.
- 20:10Dayna Roselli: So we are getting the Evil Kinevel Experience, an interactive museum of America's original daredevil is what it's called.
- 20:18Sean McAllister: And I know I know that uh there are some uh car enthusiasts, car uh repair uh uh aficionados experts who have some of Evil Knieval's original vehicles, and they're here in Las Vegas.
- 20:36Sean McAllister: So I kind of wonder if those are gonna go on loan at this museum as well.
- 20:41Sean McAllister: Of course, EvoPie is a uh pizza shop downtown too.
- 20:44Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay.
- 20:45Dayna Roselli: Is that related to that?
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: It is.
- 20:46Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay, interesting.
- 20:47Dayna Roselli: Well, you know, he's also known for his uh red, white, and blue jumpsuits, and so a lot of the highlights in the museum, the art artifacts that they're gonna bring in, um are gonna be there.
- 20:59Dayna Roselli: So lots of things to see.
- 21:00Dayna Roselli: So more on that to come.
- 21:03Dayna Roselli: Hey, Gene Simmons is uh doing a rock expo over at the Westgate September 25th, 26th, and 27th.
- 21:11Dayna Roselli: And if you love Kiss, you love rock music, I think this could be something you might want to attend.
- 21:16Dayna Roselli: Um, it's called Gene Simmons Legends of Rock, and he's gonna do performances too.
- 21:22Dayna Roselli: He's performing with the his band, the Gene Simmons band, um, headlining the event.
- 21:28Dayna Roselli: But uh apparently there are gonna be all sorts of different you know, icons and legends in the rock music world appearing at this expo.
- 21:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, members from uh obviously Kiss, uh Black Sabbath, the police, the kinks.
- 21:42Sean McAllister: So it's like classic rock musicians who are gonna be part of this.
- 21:47Sean McAllister: And if you've ever been to Westgate when they're putting on one of these weekend long events, it uh the property is taken over by fans.
- 21:57Sean McAllister: So if you're going to this, you will be in good company with like-minded fans right by your side.
- 22:05Dayna Roselli: Yeah, yeah, that's true.
- 22:06Dayna Roselli: It's a really fun thing.
- 22:07Dayna Roselli: You make new friends, run it like you could even come alone because you'll know everyone will be into it.
- 22:13Sean McAllister: You'll make 10 friends just walking through the casino.
- 22:16Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so I apparently the weekend is you know action-packed with concerts, autograph sessions, photo ops, parties, panels.
- 22:22Dayna Roselli: Uh, it sounds like it'll be really great.
- 22:24Dayna Roselli: And so I love that for Gene Simmons and the Westgate.
- 22:27Dayna Roselli: I think it's a it's a nice fit.
- 22:28Dayna Roselli: Again, it's September 25th, 26th, and 27th.
- 22:32Dayna Roselli: Um, I don't have listed where you can get tickets, but I'm sure if you Google it or you go to the Westgate, you'll find that.

- 23:02Dayna Roselli: And it's going great, I think.
- 23:04Dayna Roselli: But I was thinking how the last two years have not been great for me, I feel like.
- 23:09Dayna Roselli: So I was thinking how I better not say that.
- 23:13Dayna Roselli: Because I really hope everything does go smooth.
- 23:17SPEAKER_03: Well, I hope because I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't.
- 23:20Sean McAllister: I hope that this trip is uh turning a new page, a new positive page, a great, a great trip and a great future.
