Boca Couple’s $50M Fraud Scheme | Charleston News
A Boca Raton couple, Jean Joseph and Janalie Bingham, are facing prison time for running a $50 million Ponzi scheme through their fake real estate investment firm. Joseph gets 20 years for wire fraud, his wife 4 years — both for deceiving hundreds of investors with bogus property-backed notes. Investigators found they owned far less real estate than claimed, and much of the money was used to pay earlier investors or fund lavish personal expenses, including a $2 million home.
