Midthought Eric: Isn't it is didn't you tell me that like we had to Mid Thought Chris: Ha. Midthought Eric: Didn't you tell me that like people Mid Thought Chris: No, no Midthought Eric: talking about themselves isn't very popular? I mean, I like it. All right. Mid Thought Chris: No no, it no, it's fine. That's that that stuff's fine. What I did say is in my the research team came back to me and said, Midthought Eric: The reason Mid Thought Chris: it is highly effective to do a teaser of something you end up talking about and Midthought Eric: All right. Let's do a teaser. Mid Thought Chris: and so it would it would come in post as it Midthought Eric: Whoa, was that on Facebook Marketplace? Mid Thought Chris: Ha ha ha. Midthought Eric: I love it. All right. Well we have some new marketing coming out. so that's our teaser. some apparel, if you will, some intimates Mid Thought Chris: No, it's it it's a teaser of what you eventually talk about and then you throw in the Yeah, the our marketing team has been hard at work. Apparel my god. Midthought Eric: some intimates, Mid Thought Chris: I I just I just went to the left. Midthought Eric: some sleepware. Mid Thought Chris: I just went to the left. Midthought Eric: I've been I've been on the right the whole time. So I'm right. You're left. no, I mean listen, hey, hey, look. Mid Thought Chris: You're right. You're also not taller, but it's okay. Look. Midthought Eric: It's been fun. It's been great. I've enjoyed Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: my I've enjoyed my first half of summer. Dude, it's it's like it's Mid Thought Chris: What have you been doing? Midthought Eric: been crazy. you know, like working very hard. Yes. Dang. No, but we have Mid Thought Chris: I had a visit. We hung out for a while. Cause I don't think we talked about that. I had a visit out to you. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mm. Mm. No, listen, the Mid Thought Chris: Look. Midthought Eric: audience doesn't even know about my visit out to you. We didn't even do that one. Mid Thought Chris: they'll hear about that before this comes out. I owe you one. Yeah. Nothing else going on. I'm just gonna go up to see Eric. And family. Yeah. Yeah. Midthought Eric: Yeah. So there was that visit and then you're like, I owe you one, so you came out to me. It it was just for me, nothing else. You're like, I'm just gonna go up there and see you. yeah, that was fun. Eric and family. No, you had you well Hello Sorry, excuse me. Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Midthought Eric: It's been it's been r a rough day, a rough week. No we went to the beach for a week with our friends and Mid Thought Chris: He's eating a lot of bean dip. Ooh. Midthought Eric: then Father's Day was great. Not you. Mid Thought Chris: Not us. Not me. Your beach has like brown water though. Midthought Eric: it does. Well, it's actually so quick quick fact, factoid. Mid Thought Chris: Factoid. Midthought Eric: our water is just as clear as yours. It just has a lot more undercurrent and it stirs up the sand and dirt more. Okay. That's what I'm going with. We have lots of sun. We had a we were baking in a heat we were baking in a world record heat wave. Mid Thought Chris: And you never have sun. Undercurrent? You think T you said did you just say did you just say that your water is just as clear as mine? Midthought Eric: Yes. the water itself. But yeah, but what happens is Mid Thought Chris: The water itself. Your water has your water your water has needles and all sorts of craziness in it. That's right down the road. That's right down the road. You don't think the Gulf Midthought Eric: That's Baltimore. I'm not talking about b the harbor. I'm not talking about the harbor. Look, there are these tides and like waves and stuff. All right? Mid Thought Chris: of America has tides? Midthought Eric: No, yours is calm. Ours is like and it makes our water cloudy. Mid Thought Chris: Do that one more time. You don't think we have currents? They're gentle currents. Midthought Eric: Something Yeah, but they're gentle. Unless it's a hurricane, which is only like two months out of the year. Mid Thought Chris: Hmm. It's funny, the water still ends up being clear shortly after that. It's crazy. Midthought Eric: It's not that clear. I mean it's not like crystal blue. Mid Thought Chris: I mean there's parts of our area that are pretty Midthought Eric: Look, if you wanna see Clear Water, you gotta go to Clearwater, Florida. No, you gotta go to where was I? Mid Thought Chris: Where do you gotta go? Bahamas. Midthought Eric: Well, yeah, but I'll tell you the clearest water I think was in the Virgin Islands. Mid Thought Chris: Hm. Midthought Eric: And the blue so we were in the Dominican, and the water was very blue. It was like your lights behind you. It was super blue. Mid Thought Chris: Interesting. Midthought Eric: but yeah, anyways. Mid Thought Chris: Why do you think they call it the Virgin Islands? Midthought Eric: That's neither here nor there. Mid Thought Chris: okay. Midthought Eric: I don't know. But if you're gonna research that, you should let us know. Otherwise, I'm gonna keep telling you about my summer. Mid Thought Chris: Please do. Midthought Eric: kids kids are off school now, they've been doing their camps. I've been working hard for the warfighter. I Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Midthought Eric: had I I went camping, I went to the beach, and then I floated around my pool. so last weekend, fourth of July. Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: I dude for like three days straight I just hung out. Mid Thought Chris: Just sat up in the pool. Midthought Eric: Not I mean I didn't rela I didn't do that the whole time, but I didn't go anywhere. I had I had people Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: over, had lots of parties. I was the hostess with the most us. Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: partying, just floating around, just relaxing. It was great. Mid Thought Chris: Sounds awesome. Midthought Eric: Yeah. So how about you? Mid Thought Chris: see, so the last six weeks we had visit up to you. busy at work, busy at work. Midthought Eric: What did you do th what did you do like you had some you had some work to do up here though, didn't you? Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, I had the pleasure of of officiating family friends wedding. It's just a super Midthought Eric: Mm-hmm. Mid Thought Chris: sweet time, incredible couple. love the family to death. that was that was that was a lot of fun. Just missed a giant rainstorm. and it was outside, so we all like ran underneath the tent right after. So that was a ton of fun. got back. I Midthought Eric: I hear you're coming up again soon, allegedly. Mid Thought Chris: am allegedly, maybe, possibly. end of the month might see another Midthought Eric: Exciting. Mid Thought Chris: side by side sighting maybe. but yeah and then Midthought Eric: I heard he had a really good rental car too. Mid Thought Chris: dude that was wild so Midthought Eric: What was it? Like a little Chevy sonic or something, like tiny? Mid Thought Chris: quite the opposite. So I rented I flew into IAD, which is Dulles Airport. Midthought Eric: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mid Thought Chris: it was ended ended up being like similarly priced ish to you know, other airlines of Southwest and Baltimore or whatever. I didn't want to risk the what's that one that flies into Hagerstown with the microwave? Allegiant. Yeah. So I Midthought Eric: that's allegiant. Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: didn't want to risk Like if I miss that flight, then I'm hopping in a car and driving all the way. So I don't wanna I don't Midthought Eric: You've n you'll never do that. Mid Thought Chris: I will never do that. No. Here's look, if I yeah, I didn't wanna risk missing that flight. I didn't wanna risk missing that flight on either side. 'cause they're Midthought Eric: There's this drive. Yeah. I don't blame you. Mid Thought Chris: allegiant flights, at least out of Saint Pete down here, are only on Thursday and Sunday. And so like Thursday and Sunday, Midthought Eric: Same, same. Yep. Mid Thought Chris: like if you miss the flight on Thursday, then you have to wait until Sunday to catch a flight and You know that the event was on Saturday and didn't want to mess around with that and then I had to make sure that I got back for for work the following week. So I didn't want to mess around with either side. Midthought Eric: Right. 'Cause the nation needed you. Mid Thought Chris: The nation needed me. Nation did not need me. so where was I going with that? Midthought Eric: Yes, yes they did. Mid Thought Chris: rental. Yeah, that's where I was going. So rental cars. So I was you know, looking at rental cars, I didn't want to bother anybody to have them come pick me up all the way out in Dulles. Because my friend Eric here lives in southern Pennsylvania. I Midthought Eric: I would have gone to the end of the world to pick you up. Mid Thought Chris: know you would have, but I didn't want to ask you to do that. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: so looking at prices of like different cars, right? And I'm not I'm I'm not really needy by any stretch, but you know, just looking at prices, and I was looking at like the smallest like compact or whatever, and I went, wait a minute. This compact car is whatever, you know, two hundred dollars. This truck is like ten dollars less or something crazy. So like like hm and so it on the on the thing I think it said like Ford Ranger or something like you know that small like two out of Tacoma I get out there and it's this giant Midthought Eric: Mm-hmm. Mid Thought Chris: like Dodge Ram that was I was not arguing about. So Midthought Eric: It's no longer dodge, it's just RAM. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, I forgot about that. so yeah giant ram Midthought Eric: You have to be pacific. Mid Thought Chris: truck I gotta be Pacific. Giant ram truck. so I got that it was fun to drive around in. Yeah. Midthought Eric: That That thing was sweet, man. It was like the what was that? Like the Longhorn Edition, whatever it's called. Leather stitch seats. Mid Thought Chris: it was beautiful. here I was it it I felt like a real man for, you know, a couple of days and then Midthought Eric: I mean I would never buy I Ford is a sp non sponsoring sponsor of our show. so I'm I'm kind of I'm kinda I'm kinda tied to them 'cause they're a non sponsoring sponsor. Mid Thought Chris: We both we both drive Yeah. Right. Midthought Eric: but if Ram was to be an actual sponsor, I would Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: I'm that's in play. Like I I could do that. Mid Thought Chris: I'd I'd le I'd drop Ford like a hot potato. I wouldn't I wouldn't hesitate. I am I am up for s I am for sale when it comes to my vehicles. yeah, so get back Midthought Eric: we're so dumb. Mid Thought Chris: busy at work and then the family and I took up took Midthought Eric: The family with the family. Mid Thought Chris: a really fun trip. we've had this planned for quite a while. but we went and I'll send producer Mike over some pictures and have him put them up on social or whatever. or maybe our next episode. I should have had you I should have sent them like right now, but I didn't I'm Midthought Eric: Come on, Chris. Let's see him. Mid Thought Chris: not think I I don't think things through. you know them but yeah we went to so my oldest daughter Midthought Eric: He's gonna look he can look on he can look on your socials real quick and pull some up. I faith. I have faith in him. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. I don't want to ask him to do that. A actually it would be on Leanne's socials 'cause she took all the pictures and producer Mike, are you friends with Leanne on social? Midthought Eric: You look great on those pictures. Mid Thought Chris: I do. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: I feel like I look kinda chunky in some of the pictures. Midthought Eric: Right. Mid Thought Chris: Anyway, anyway, there's a thumbs up somewhere. Midthought Eric: I got a thumb there was a thumbs up somewhere. Mid Thought Chris: So no, so family trip. So set the stage a little bit. Haley, my oldest, graduates from graduated from high school this year. Youngest Audrey is turning sixteen. So we took a pretty big trip. We've always wanted to take the kids to Europe. So we went to Italy. the first stop was in Venice. and then went up to Florence, explored Tuscany a bit, trained over Midthought Eric: Florence and the machine. Mid Thought Chris: Florence and the machine, yeah. went over to Rome and then hopped on a cruise ship, did a seven day Disney cruise and then which had stops in Santorini, Myconos, and Halia Hala, Halia. Midthought Eric: Hallo. Mid Thought Chris: stop in Greece and then up to town near Pompeii. What town is that? Pompeii area. Midthought Eric: Well, all I know is while you were gone the the world went to crap. So I can see why you're so important. Mid Thought Chris: I don't know what you're talking about. let's see. what is that? Naples? Is that sound right? Sorenta? I don't frickin' know. Midthought Eric: I don't care about any of that stuff. Mid Thought Chris: but anyway, so that was the last thought, and then we went back to Rome. Hopped out of a plane and flew over to Paris. Kids have always wanted to see and like stopped by, saw a couple things at Paris. some funny commentary on Paris in a second. but finished up the trip at Disney. Midthought Eric: Hey, how was the Mona Lisa? Mid Thought Chris: finish up the trip at Disneyland Paris. So Midthought Eric: I heard that was great. Mid Thought Chris: that is the funny part. So those of you who might not know, I live in the sunshine state. I live in the state of Florida, right? So we went over there and it was Midthought Eric: Lots of sunshine. Mid Thought Chris: lots of sunshine, right? We went over to Europe and my wife who is a travel advisor owns her own travel agency. So plug for her. if you are in need of travel, Chat with my wife. But she was kind of seeing this ahead of time, but Midthought Eric: What is the what is the handle for that? You're supposed to put the handle. Mid Thought Chris: L V Travelco. You should check it out. Midthought Eric: There you go. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, all of our wide swath of fans would love to they're gonna get rushed. I they're gonna need to hire more they're gonna need to hire people. Midthought Eric: They're gonna get they're gonna get rushed. I mean, they're gonna be able to keep up with the demand. Mid Thought Chris: no, we finished Midthought Eric: Hmm. Mid Thought Chris: up there and she had kind of seen this come and she's like, it might get a little wonky. because there was Midthought Eric: Just a little warm. Mid Thought Chris: There's a there's a heat wave going through Europe and if you've never been to Europe if time out. Stop this. Midthought Eric: Wait, hold on. T time out time out. Time out. I I have to stop this. I will just say from a casual observer overseas from Europe, Mid Thought Chris: Casual observer. Midthought Eric: I would just say that it was a the first of its kind never seen before in the planet heat wave that the world could not possibly have withstood before now. Is that true? okay. No, Mid Thought Chris: no. It's like summer. It's like ninety eight degrees. Midthought Eric: that's not what I heard. But you you tell your version. It's called summer. It happens every year. The there's just sun. It gets we spin and we get close to it. Mid Thought Chris: Pfft frick dude. so I'm kidding. It's it's so dumb. it's it's called summer. AKA it surprises you clowns every year. There's this sun and this time of year. It gets really warm. It gets really warm around summer. Midthought Eric: But up here, like the northern the more northern parts, like we're we're safer from the sun. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, but you still get ninety eight degree days and you still live your life, but Midthought Eric: yeah. No, we had a heat wave last week. Mid Thought Chris: you had a heat wave last week, what was it? Did you get like ninety plus, right? Midthought Eric: Somehow we survived. No, dude, it was a real feel of 106, okay? And they told us to take cover and stay inside. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. And are you did you did did you cancel everything? Midthought Eric: no. I swam in my pool. That was ninety one degrees. I did, and I got the best tan. Mid Thought Chris: No. You went and lived your life, right? So I know, right? I mean, my li I don't have to I don't have to I don't have to I won't do that. I are you trying to bait me? Midthought Eric: My vitamin D is is way up there. Are you trying to Yes. I mean no. What? What are you talking about? Bait you. Mid Thought Chris: Listen, look, I lost my train of thought. There's the sun. Yeah, yeah. So 90 degrees. We can see it coming. but yeah. There's there's none and it's it's Midthought Eric: Look, there's this sun. when you were in France and Paris, it got hot 'cause they don't have any air conditioning over there, no shade, like you're in the middle of a desert Mid Thought Chris: it's the most asinine thing. but like we had s we had a tour scheduled at the Louvre canceled because of heat. We had we had Midthought Eric: Which is where the Mona Lisa is. Mid Thought Chris: They couldn't they couldn't keep the Louvre cooled to an appropriate Midthought Eric: Hm. Mid Thought Chris: temperature with all the people in there. We don't have the technology out there to Midthought Eric: We don't have the technology. There we can't supply an electric grid. Like it there's a limit to how much electric we can put in one grid. Okay. Mid Thought Chris: Get there is Midthought Eric: and so if we overload that s I don't know what happens, but it's I don't know. But we can't do it. It's not possible. Mid Thought Chris: I I think I don't know. I don't I haven't done any research on this, but we were told by a few folks over there that they have laws in which they can't like Midthought Eric: There's a law about that. Mid Thought Chris: legitimately, like they can't turn their air conditioning past a certain level. Like they can't cool Midthought Eric: Mm. Mid Thought Chris: it like a certain whatever temperature it was, they can only go a certain amount of degrees below that. And I can a hundred percent Midthought Eric: French. Mid Thought Chris: vouch for the feeling like I think the difference is is that like when I go into a building down here or even up there during your heat wave, you go into a building, any sort of building, it could be Walmart, it could be a restaurant, it could be anywhere, you go into a building and you're gonna get some sort of relief, right? Because every building has their stuff set at seventy-two degrees, seventy-three degrees, seventy-four degrees, right? Midthought Eric: Yeah, and if it's too hot, people aren't gonna keep coming back. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, that's not the case. Like somehow summer hits them every every year and somehow there's a there's a massive surprise and they can't handle Midthought Eric: What is this? Mid Thought Chris: they can't handle heat. So Midthought Eric: Is it that they can't handle it or do they have policies in place that don't let them handle it? Mid Thought Chris: Or they have policies in place that are borderline communist that Midthought Eric: Mm. Mid Thought Chris: you know, don't allow them to, you know, set to set their temperature at a certain level. So they pulled up Midthought Eric: Because if they set the temperature lower Mid Thought Chris: they pulled they pulled out the white flag and said, We're not gonna open, we're gonna cancel a bunch of stuff. So Midthought Eric: wait f hold on quick quick quick quick time out timeout. did Mid Thought Chris: Timing up. Midthought Eric: you ever hear about the Mid Thought Chris: No, that almost happened. Midthought Eric: did you know that the best gun to buy, like if y like back in the like the older the old olden days, like, you know, I don't know, Revolutionary War and Forward. maybe World War Two and Forward. Like if you want an old World War Two gun or like even a modern gun, the best ones to buy are the French guns, right? Have you ever heard that? Mid Thought Chris: I'm looking forward to the ending of this. Midthought Eric: You you you can get them on eBay. Mid Thought Chris: This is gonna be good, whatever you're about to say, I can feel it. Midthought Eric: Like I saw one on eBay, all right, and it said it was like a it was like a nineteen forty-one era gun. It said it said like new, never been used, dropped once. Mid Thought Chris: Never been used. Drop on that is great. goodness. There he is. He's awake. He's alive, unlike certain politicians. Midthought Eric: Come on, producer Mike. Let's go. Yeah. Thank you. He's awake. He's awake. Mid Thought Chris: so here's it that is that is the that is the Midthought Eric: We have so much to catch up on. Mid Thought Chris: that is the government slash political side of countries like that, but I will say Midthought Eric: So crazy. Mid Thought Chris: I know they have a garbage reputation. I know that there's all sorts of jokes to be made about the French, but what I will say, and this a and this is kind of like a this is a pretty s kind of a little bit more of a serious observation, like that is like government over here, like you know, kind of Over here, right? It's it's like a separate issue, right? But then when Midthought Eric: Is you. Mid Thought Chris: you then when you get you go into like you know, any restaurant we went into that had like you know that we were served by like French people or anything like that, like mom and pop, not chained, not attached to the government, not the airport, all this other stuff, incredible. People care about, you know, th they serve Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: you great food. They're just they're Normal people is like as long as you're not a loud obnoxious stupid American, like they're they're they're very hospitable. And these are like typical French people, not people that Midthought Eric: Yeah, I've Mid Thought Chris: are like from other parts of the world, right? But the normal, you know, individual French folks that you encounter in a restaurant or whatever, just down-to-earth awesome people. And I love crap. Say it, Peppy Le Pew! Midthought Eric: Did it make you say that you love crepes? Mid Thought Chris: I ain't gonna do it. Italy Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: and Greece were freaking outstanding. just great people, great food, very hospitable, loved both those places. yeah, aww, super cute. Midthought Eric: Look at that. Mid Thought Chris: That is Versailles, right? Midthought Eric: Where half half the letters are silent. Mid Thought Chris: Half the letters are silent. So highly recommend talking to my wife if you're interested in going to Europe. Man, it it it was a killer trip. Midthought Eric: And that is what that is at at what? At L V at L. Mid Thought Chris: L V Travel Co. Right. So like all like we got Dude, that's not a MERS. That is that is that's Midthought Eric: Okay. Yes. look at your merce. Look at that merce. It's a satchel. Indiana Jones had one. Mid Thought Chris: just that's so great. I love that. Midthought Eric: Look, you and the girls all have the same thing, except your father in law over there is like a normal Mid Thought Chris: He's got one around his waist, I think. No, it's it's Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: a pretty smart thing to do over there. You kind of don't want to keep things in your pocket. or you wanna keep things in front of you like that. It's a bit Midthought Eric: Hmm. Some riffraff. Mid Thought Chris: more secure. I kind of doesn't my stomach look kind of big in that picture. It's like my shirt is like hanging weird, isn't it? Look how big my stomach looks there. Midthought Eric: No. No, I think it's just I think the wind was blowing. Mid Thought Chris: How about we go to a different picture, producer Mike? That's ooh. there you go. Yeah, it's a cruise. Midthought Eric: Or perhaps it was the angle. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What are you doing to that what are you doing to that guy? Boy. What is that? Mid Thought Chris: he's these are the our servers on the on the Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: cruise. They're freaking outstanding. Disney cruise man. just outs jeez. I was not sniffing his hair, you you weirdo Midthought Eric: Cruises are the best. Those people live Ha Did you sniff his hair? Producer Mike: He's trying to Joe Biden them. Let me sniff into your soul. Mid Thought Chris: Dude, that's so much fun. I Disney Midthought Eric: They've got those double thumbs up down. They're like, yeah. Mid Thought Chris: They do. Cool. Yeah. Such a good time. Yeah? Midthought Eric: Yeah. Dude, the c the cruise life like they live there. That's their life. That's their career. Mid Thought Chris: Love it. Thank you for putting those up producer mic. That was great. Midthought Eric: Yep. That's good. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, so much fun. highly recommend. more yes, this right here. This right here. look at this. Midthought Eric: Okay. All right. If you're not watching this, if you're only listening, you gotta see this chart. Mid Thought Chris: Audio listeners, producer Mike just pulled up a stat, and this thing, this is kind of what bothered me a little bit after seeing it firsthand. And this is not Midthought Eric: Ooh, I'm gonna have to share that on my on my stuff. Mid Thought Chris: meant to be a political statement, right? This is just Midthought Eric: Facts. Mid Thought Chris: from what I can gather, the sources are Midthought Eric: It's from the C D C Mid Thought Chris: according to the CDC, who always Midthought Eric: You have to trust the science. Mid Thought Chris: always tells the truth, there is a Eric, can you read off those stats? What is what is this Midthought Eric: Hold on, time out. Time out. I need I need to clarify Mid Thought Chris: What is this graph depicting? Midthought Eric: something here. was it C D C during Fauci or post Fauci? Mid Thought Chris: This is not a political show. but this says there's a title right there. It says Deaths in 2024. Midthought Eric: sorry. Yes, all right. Producer Mike: Post-fouchey be post-fouchey. Midthought Eric: All right. the whole year twenty twenty four. All right. The title Mid Thought Chris: Twenty twenty four. Re Midthought Eric: the title of this, the synopsis here, if you will, is that more Europeans die of summer heat than Americans die of guns. So Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Gundat's Midthought Eric: Okay, so US so Mid Thought Chris: I think I think s Midthought Eric: American heat is the chart looks like it's about two thousand. Europe Mid Thought Chris: Probably less. Midthought Eric: guns is more. Whoa, five thousand? Yes, Mid Thought Chris: Then US heat. Yeah. Midthought Eric: yes, yes, yes. US guns, forty two thousand. We should ban them. and then Europe heat is killing. Mid Thought Chris: We should ban the heat. Midthought Eric: Yeah, the heat is the sun is killing everybody. It's sixty two thousand deaths in one year from the heat. Mid Thought Chris: I I think those US gun deaths I think incorporate a wide swath of gun deaths as well. I think Midthought Eric: So that was that was gonna be my question. Does that include suicide? Mid Thought Chris: I think that includes unaliving yourself. I think that includes yeah, look, European Gundas. includes su includes unaliving yourself. Stop it, not a political Midthought Eric: That that includes what? Hi Hillering Hillering yourself? Mid Thought Chris: show. yeah. includes Unaliving Yourself. Midthought Eric: Okay. Well it's still the sun is deadly. Mid Thought Chris: The sun is deadly and it comes every year. Midthought Eric: If only they had a if they only they had a cool place to retreat to. Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: If only there was a technology that could take the edge off a little bit so that you had some sort of relief when you walked inside and that each building that you went in didn't feel like a frickin' hotbox. That'd be that'd be not a political show. Look. Midthought Eric: Yeah. So listen, I took in college I took a physics course. It was like a physics it was like second level. It was like physics Mid Thought Chris: Those of you who don't know, Eric is a psychologist. Midthought Eric: Yes, but this is about phys phys physologist. Phys all right. Yes. We help people. Mid Thought Chris: So is producer Mike, apparently. I didn't both of you freaking dudes are super smart. Midthought Eric: no, but this was a physics course and it Mid Thought Chris: Ding. Midthought Eric: was called How Things Work was the title of the course. So I thought it would be really easy. Mid Thought Chris: When you get heat stroke it Midthought Eric: Well, I mean, no, you know what it was? It should have been called like engineering five two. Like it was a super hard engineering course. Mid Thought Chris: okay. Midthought Eric: because everything everything every time you had to like find out how stuff worked, it was about like what is it and like what is the there was math involved, there was chemistry involved, I was like, This sucks. But anyways, Mid Thought Chris: That sounds terrible. Midthought Eric: one of the things was air conditioning, right? And how does Mid Thought Chris: Hmm. Midthought Eric: air conditioning work? Like simple components. This was developed in the seventies, eighties, you know. Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: refrigerators, same kind of the sim same stuff. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: You got coils and stuff. so I was really bad at that course, that class, and I got like a C plus. because it was way too mathy in engineering for me. But one thing I yeah, but one thing I did Mid Thought Chris: You got a C plus? Why are you saying that's bad? Midthought Eric: No, I mean that was like I Mid Thought Chris: Why are you saying that's bad? Midthought Eric: didn't know I was lucky that I got that because I didn't know how to do most of that stuff. Like I Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Midthought Eric: there's something in my brain that's not like I wasn't born with that. Like the good lord didn't give me something up here. So like Mid Thought Chris: Ladies and gentlemen, this is before the era of AI where you could just have ChatGBT crap out all your papers too. Midthought Eric: We had to actually know it. Mid Thought Chris: You actually had to be able to at least BS enough on paper to you know. Midthought Eric: We had to go into a class with with like Mid Thought Chris: A notebook. Midthought Eric: a no, we had to go with like a it was a it was a test. Look, there were these tests and it was multiple choice and you had to circle the right answer. Okay. Mid Thought Chris: Mm. You at least had to be process of elimination had to be a really important skill. All right, continue. Midthought Eric: Yeah. but anyways, one thing I did learn in that class was that if you if it's really hot and Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: you turn the air conditioning up, it's simple physics, right? You've got these coils, Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: you've got you know radiator, you've got air coming in, air coming out, you know, water coming out, all this stuff, right? And if you turn your air conditioning down to say 72, Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: and it can keep up with that. And it's like, I'm really struggling. It's so hot, right? It gets overwhelmed. And your thermostats are like 75. Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: You don't just throw up your hands and say, well, it's not possible. You either increase your condenser unit or you get a second one. All Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: right. Listen, France, the technology is there. Okay. Mid Thought Chris: Yes. Midthought Eric: Your electric grid is not maxed out because you can't max out electric grid. You can always add to it. Mid Thought Chris: Hm. Is that true? Producer Mike, can you max out an electric Midthought Eric: And if you if you max out that yeah, I mean I they're not Mid Thought Chris: grid? Midthought Eric: I mean a a single like a single thing you can max out, but you can always add another one and and run it. Like you can do anything you want. But but these people they are they are lit it's it's it's it's Mid Thought Chris: Part of the grid? How did these countries end up with brownouts then? Like how does or California end up with the brownouts, to be honest? Midthought Eric: climate control policies and they're saying you're not allowed to have your electric grid at this above this level. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, yeah. Midthought Eric: So it's like, it's too hot, we can't do anything about it. No, you could if you wanted to. Like I know how things work. 'Cause I took that class. All right. Mid Thought Chris: Right. All right. Yeah, they're worried about saving the world when other countries who don't necessarily subscribe to that same mentality are just throwing crap in the rivers. Like if you look at like some of the policies in other parts of Asia and or well please produce your mic Midthought Eric: Jaina, it's pronounced Jaina. Mid Thought Chris: Other parts of the world where they're just dumping crap into their rivers, but you, however, Midthought Eric: Huh. No. Mid Thought Chris: are over here killing your people because you refuse to put your air conditioning past. Midthought Eric: But that wasn't who was to blame. I think we were to blame, weren't we? Mid Thought Chris: that is the allegation by certain members of certain political entities in certain countries known as France Midthought Eric: I'm pretty sure I saw it. Mid Thought Chris: Paris mayor is some nonsense, right? So that we are to blame for all that. Listen, listen, let Midthought Eric: I think it was the United States' fault. Mid Thought Chris: me take you to certain rivers in certain parts of the world and Midthought Eric: Look. Mid Thought Chris: show you who's the real culprit of a lot of the there's this in certain parts of the world Midthought Eric: There's this river. Mid Thought Chris: that if You the if you just look at it, you can go, that's probably where all this nonsense is coming from. But anyway, I digress. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: Wow, what a rabbit hole. Mid Thought Chris: Was that Randy? Who was that? That was so good. Who is that? I can't what clip is that? What clip is that? No Midthought Eric: That was good. And that was perfect timing because we actually stopped. That wasn't Randy. That was an Asian Mid Thought Chris: No no no. Who was that though? That's that's from a is that from a show Midthought Eric: Not Randy Marsh. Mid Thought Chris: or a movie or something? Sit play that one more time. Pretty soon, Mike. That's Randy! Midthought Eric: No, it's the other guy. It's Mid Thought Chris: No, that's Randy. Midthought Eric: it's his what's his name? Mid Thought Chris: That's Randy. Midthought Eric: not Mackey. not Mackie. Mid Thought Chris: That is not Mackie! Midthought Eric: I said not Mackey. the other one. the other weirdo. Mid Thought Chris: That's not that's not dude with the puppet? crap, brain fart, Mr Hat I don't think that's him. Midthought Eric: Yes. Yeah, I know. I'm having the same brain fart. It was him. That's him. All right, who was it, producer Mike? We have a wager. He's like, I don't know. Mid Thought Chris: Ha ha. Midthought Eric: okay, so we totally hijacked. Producer Mike: It's Randy. Mid Thought Chris: Hahaha Midthought Eric: It's always Randy. Mid Thought Chris: It's always Randy. Midthought Eric: He's great. He's the best. Mid Thought Chris: I love how he became a you know more critical component of the show. Anyway. Midthought Eric: he was yeah. All right. Mid Thought Chris: I think I was done about Midthought Eric: No, you're saying how good the Disney cruise was. Mid Thought Chris: Disney Cruise is great. Yeah, that that was Greece and then over to Italy. see. I I mean the trip was bookended by some flight issues. But I mean that's why you get a really good Midthought Eric: Was it allegiant? Mid Thought Chris: No, it was the best airline, Delta, yeah. So that is why you get a really good travel agent and you Midthought Eric: They're the best. Mid Thought Chris: you plan ahead and you Midthought Eric: Which one do you recommend? Is it like at L V or something? At L V Travel Co. All right. Allegedly. Try it for yourselves. They're gonna be overwhelmed. Like they won't be able to keep up with their phone lines. Mid Thought Chris: that's LV Travelco. I think they're best, from what I hear. Yeah, yeah. Allegedly. Try it for yourself. They're gonna be Midthought Eric: They're gonna have to get more receptionists than they already have. Mid Thought Chris: More receptionist Leanne's like w you say Midthought Eric: Pam, pam, pam, pam. Pam and her pam pams. Mid Thought Chris: that I think you say that. Yeah, Midthought Eric: That's what Creed said. Creed said it. Creed said it. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, so front end we got delayed and stranded in Atlanta. Midthought Eric: Brand. Mid Thought Chris: just stupid not on our own accord, but stupid airlines doing stupid airline things. so we're stranded in Atlanta that delayed our trip for a day. But Midthought Eric: A cord a cord reminds me of something. That's what Jesus Mid Thought Chris: But Midthought Eric: that's what Jesus always drove a Honda. Mid Thought Chris: You got strained in Atlanta? Midthought Eric: No, he it never spoke on his own accord. So he always drove a high. Mid Thought Chris: Are you about through? That's all I've got. Please continue. Midthought Eric: That's it. Proceed. Please continue. Mid Thought Chris: No, so we had a like a buffer day on the front end, right? You get a buffer day on the front end because Midthought Eric: A buffer, yes. Mid Thought Chris: you never know, you never know when Midthought Eric: That's right. Mid Thought Chris: even the best airline is going to act like complete buffoons. Midthought Eric: But that's also that's also a good day. Like that's a good day to transition and rest. So Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, which we would have loved, but instead we're running around Venice and trying to cram everything into one day. Midthought Eric: But again, I mean you weren't you know, it's is it a good travel agent builds that in. Yep. Mid Thought Chris: Which is why c sets you up, right? And then on the back end, Midthought Eric: Gotta get me one of those. Mid Thought Chris: the back end? travel agent, okay. Midthought Eric: Ha ha ha No, I am not in the Navy. Mid Thought Chris: Back in snow we have our name tags right here on Right here and right here. He was like Midthought Eric: That's the worst thing. Like who decided that? From the front view and rear view. Mid Thought Chris: Who put that there? Why? Ken I mean producer Mike Ken Ken Midthought Eric: Wait, which one is this? Private Private Pile Mid Thought Chris: Ken who's right here did you have that in the army? Did you have a Hey bud, how are it? did you have that in the army? Did you you were in the army? Did you have your name on your butt? Midthought Eric: We're in the army now. Mid Thought Chris: Did you have your name on your butt? Midthought Eric: Yeah, it said we're not doing that. They only have the sh Mid Thought Chris: Producer Mike? Midthought Eric: shoulders and chest. Shoulders and chest. Producer Mike: We are not of that persuasion in the army. We did not wear our name on our butt. Absolutely not. Midthought Eric: Ha ha Mid Thought Chris: You don't have a name you d you don't have a name patch on your rear end? Right above your pocket? Who is this again? Midthought Eric: I'm gonna follow up with him. Producer Mike: What what do I call you when I'm back here? Ugh, I can see it now. Is this is this Sailor Stevenson? yeah it is. Midthought Eric: Sailor Stevenson. Producer Mike: I I don't know the ranks in the Navy. Mid Thought Chris: Huh, Midthought Eric: Yeah, they're weird. Mid Thought Chris: anyway. Midthought Eric: I only Producer Mike: Semen, Midthought Eric: know the officers. They're seamen. Producer Mike: that's what it is. That's even better. That's Semen Stevenson. Mid Thought Chris: That's not me anymore. That's Midthought Eric: Ha ha Producer Mike: That's old that's old Chris. He's reformed Mid Thought Chris: old young Chris. Midthought Eric: That's so cr he's reformed. But not when he goes to training, he's right back there with him. Producer Mike: Right back at it again with his name tape on his butt. Midthought Eric: Well what? Ha one two hot one two Mid Thought Chris: Where was I? Where was I? Midthought Eric: Hey Chris. you distracted me a little bit, mid thought, Chris. Mid Thought Chris: I think you distracted me. Midthought Eric: You turned around to your shelf, to show me Ken and I was just Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: wondering what other things you have back there on your shelf. Mid Thought Chris: I don't have anything. Midthought Eric: I've s heard of some things that you keep. What there were two of them, allegedly. Mid Thought Chris: He that's somewhere else. I got rid of that immediately. We gotta get that fixed. Midthought Eric: What happened to the other one? That was in your suitcase. Mid Thought Chris: Can producer Mike put a new sound effect on there? And I'm not recovering. You talk. Resole. Midthought Eric: Reset What was that? Who's chirpin? Is your smoke alarm dead? Hey, hey, there are these things. They're in the suitcase. I didn't put them there. I just wanted you Mid Thought Chris: gosh. Midthought Eric: to check that in, but I was afraid that if I put it in your book bag it wouldn't make it. Mid Thought Chris: gosh. Midthought Eric: Anyways, all right, come on, get through your story, Middle Chris. You've been telling a story for thirty two minutes. Mid Thought Chris: I think it was done. I I think it was done. Is that you? Midthought Eric: Me? No, I'm good. Mid Thought Chris: I think I was done. I don't think Midthought Eric: Right. So it was a good trip. Mid Thought Chris: Where was I? Was I done? Midthought Eric: The only thing I want to know is how was the Colosseum? Mid Thought Chris: It was good. That was like a quick part of the trip. We didn't like go in 'cause y you gotta like pick and choose. We we took some pictures in front of it though. Midthought Eric: I would have picked that one. Mid Thought Chris: We we we had some pictures in front of it, but it was outside. Like I Are you not entertained? where was I before we got derailed? Where was I before we got derailed? Midthought Eric: Mm-hmm. Shadows and dust, Maximus. Shadows and dust. He wasn't he wasn't croaking. you got held up in a airport in Atlanta. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, and then and then I said back end and that's what sent us off the rails. Got it. Alright, Midthought Eric: Yes. Mid Thought Chris: cool. so yeah, stranded Atlanta Midthought Eric: That's all it took. Mid Thought Chris: on the on back end and not to mention our luggage was lost for a long period of time. So yeah. Midthought Eric: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. All right. Mid Thought Chris: Middle part was great. Midthought Eric: Great. Cool. Did you get sunburnt? Doesn't look like it. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. mm not really. Just tan. jeez. Midthought Eric: How did you survive the heat wave? Like what were your coping mechanisms? What were your survival techniques? You go to this place, Mid Thought Chris: Here's the thing. Midthought Eric: the whole place is burning alive. America Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: is killing you all. you Mid Thought Chris: I we did go to Pompeii, but Midthought Eric: How did you survive? Mid Thought Chris: no that's Midthought Eric: Tell some tricks to the audience 'cause they might be in that same situation someday. but this was a once I heard it Mid Thought Chris: It might be in that same situation here. Look, there's Midthought Eric: was like a once in a century heat wave. Something like that. No, no, no, no, no, no. No, it's not Mid Thought Chris: once a year heat wave. Anyway, yeah, the ninety degrees. Okay. If it it's like Tuesday down here. Like it's Midthought Eric: But they were prepared because we took all their we took all their AC from Mid Thought Chris: You have the option, you have the technology. Midthought Eric: them. Mid Thought Chris: We didn't take nothin'. Midthought Eric: Yes. W if we use it all, they can't use any. So we have to share with them 'cause it goes across the ocean. so like our AC is sh is on the same grid as their AC. So if Mid Thought Chris: You gotta take all the plastics out of the rivers in India. I mean no straws. Midthought Eric: Thus no straws, no straws. The turtles are dying. Mid Thought Chris: As you're murdering tilapia and eating. Is that the f Midthought Eric: Those are farm raised they're farm raised in China, so don't that doesn't count. Mid Thought Chris: is that the fish what is that fish that doesn't even exist in the wild that people eat? Is that tilapia? What is that? Midthought Eric: It might be Tilapia. I I I honestly think that Mid Thought Chris: Do you know what that is, producer Mike? What's that fish that doesn't exist out in the wild that's like completely engineered? Is that tilapia? I can't remember. Midthought Eric: I think it might be tilapia. Yeah. Yeah. I think it was around when the dinosaurs were here and then like it went extinct and we took their bones and stuff and we made it in hatchery. I made that up. That's not true. Mid Thought Chris: What? You made that up? I there's the there's a certain kind of fish that doesn't that is completely engineered though. And I don't remember what it w he's on that. Midthought Eric: Alright, well producer Mike's gonna get on that. in the meantime, I'm gonna go over real quick some things you missed while you were gone, some current events. I would Mid Thought Chris: Ooh, current events. I like this. Midthought Eric: like to I would like to bring up two of them. I would like to bring up two. Mid Thought Chris: Is this political? Is this political? Midthought Eric: No, not at all. The first one is Mid Thought Chris: I don't believe you. Midthought Eric: a certain somebody got married and tied the knot. Mid Thought Chris: is this the one that shut down all of New York? It's so good. Midthought Eric: Yes, all of New York run it out, Madison Square Garden, but that particular Mid Thought Chris: Whoo. Midthought Eric: person, it rhymes with Schmailer Schmidt. they have never been blamed for being too rich or privileged or part of the one percent. Mid Thought Chris: Hmm. Interesting. Billionaire, isn't she? Midthought Eric: multi billionaire. Mid Thought Chris: I have no problem with being a billionaire, by the way. Midthought Eric: I don't either. But what's funny is no arrows get shot her way. It's always the other way. But that's neither here nor there. I don't know, like Mid Thought Chris: Hmm. Interesting. What do you mean the other way, Eric? This is not a political show. Midthought Eric: certain certain voting blocks, if you will. Mid Thought Chris: It's not a political show. Midthought Eric: but you know, Taylor Swift, I hope she makes a trillion dollars. I don't care. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: She can run out all of New York City. But I have a feeling, I have a feeling. Mid Thought Chris: 'Cause I don't I don't know what she's doing with I don't know what she's doing with her money. She could be donating half of it. Midthought Eric: I have a feeling that just a little hunch Mid Thought Chris: You have a feeling. Midthought Eric: a feeling that if Elon Musk rented out all of New York City, we would be hearing about the richest guy in the world ruining people's lives. Mid Thought Chris: Ruined. Midthought Eric: so that I'm just gonna say that. But what I really wanted wanted to say about the whole Taylor Swift thing, Tay Tay, if you will, Mid Thought Chris: I will. Midthought Eric: she had this wedding, apparently it was a surprise, even though they brought all these tru look, there are these trucks and Mid Thought Chris: Who was surprised? Midthought Eric: Well, they were surpr there were rumors no, Mid Thought Chris: Hopefully she wasn't surprised. Midthought Eric: but there were rumors in the press cause like she ran it out Madison Square Garden for like a week and then like the five blocks around it for like a week. And then all these trucks came in and like blocked off everything that was going on. So they knew something was going on, but she also did that in like three different locations. So people knew like, hey, it's gonna happen in one of these four places. And at this point I'm like, this is like the D Day landing, right? Like if this is Normandy. She's having decoys. Mid Thought Chris: They're setting up like the fake tanks that are all blow up dolls and stuff. Yeah, yeah. Yes. Yes. Midthought Eric: Yeah, she's having decoys for other locations so that she couldn't get too much press. Like one of was Chicago, one of was like somewhere in France or something. I mean it was it was crazy. But anyways, Yes, Mid Thought Chris: Hey Eric, can I stop you real quick? Midthought Eric: always. Stop me. Mid Thought Chris: Do you know like if you're that level, and you know that places like Fiji exist, you know that places like Hawaii exist, Midthought Eric: Mm-hmm. Mid Thought Chris: you know that places like all these other places in the world that are far more appealing exist. Midthought Eric: For more appealing than what? New York City? That's the greatest city in the world. What are you talking about? Mid Thought Chris: New York sh Chicago that crap hole. You ever like you fly into New York and you step out of the airplane, you go out and you smell the air, you're like, Whoa S smells like it's it's it's it smells like that piss and sadness. Midthought Eric: Well, that was what she preferred. I mean that is what they that is what they they preferred. It was Jason as well. Mid Thought Chris: No, like it's just there's all these other places in the world, but it's just a preference thing. Like it's just me. I don't know. again, I have no problem with it. You can do whatever you want. I just New York, Chicago like those are all like Midthought Eric: absolutely. Mid Thought Chris: not even remote. They're not even on my top fifty list of places in the world, like Fiji or St. Lucia, or Hawaii, or like Midthought Eric: They're like, well, we have it was like Yeah. The Yeah, the well, you have to have all the celebrities, right? And if you want to get all the celebrities together. I mean, what did what did what Amazon guy, Mid Thought Chris: Screw them It's a wedding Midthought Eric: Bezos? Like he rented out an entire island on Italy. Remember that? No, that was that's the Virgin Islands. No virgins. I mean, that's that's the Virgin Islands, but Mid Thought Chris: Epstein Island? No, sorry, that We didn't figure out why they're called that yet, did we? We've got two data points we're waiting to hear back on. Our researchers are hard on the case. That's phrasing, sorry. They're they're Midthought Eric: Bezos, yes. They're on the case. Mid Thought Chris: on the case, yeah, thank you. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Bezos rented an entire island off Italy. Remember that? And they all they Mid Thought Chris: do you remember what it was? Midthought Eric: all came in on yachts and like boats and stuff. And then like a week before that, it was a climate conference like a hundred miles away. And they're like, nobody like and then a week later, Bezos gets married. And there are people coming in on helicopters and private jets. I mean he r literally had his own island. Mid Thought Chris: Was there any overlap between like the people that were I didn't mean to do like the the triangle thing. was there any overlap between the people that were at the climate thing and the people that, you know, and attended his wedding? Midthought Eric: hunt a a hundred percent. Mid Thought Chris: Okay. Midthought Eric: I mean, I don't I don't know, but I I would bet Mid Thought Chris: Board you bet. Midthought Eric: I mean, the climate thing's all politicians, right? And then his wedding is like all the important people, celebrities, all that stuff. So but Tom Mid Thought Chris: There's probably some overlap. I think there's Midthought Eric: Brady, I mean, he had like I think he rented himself a mini island off the island. He probably had like this little like I'm picturing Castaway Island, like nobody's there, right? It's Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: like him and Gazelle and whoever on this little like tiki hot hut or whatever. Yeah. Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: Gazelle Yeah That's what I'm saying Deserted Island that I can only get to by like helicopter or or yacht like Midthought Eric: But surprisingly, there are no carbon emissions problems. Mid Thought Chris: Huh, that's wild. Midthought Eric: So everybody who got there, it w must have been carbon no carbon footprints. Mid Thought Chris: Nothing to see here. Midthought Eric: But anyways, listen, here's what I have to say about Taylor Swift, okay? Mid Thought Chris: You don't care that she rented out Madison Square Garden. You don't care about any of that stuff. You don't care that she's a billionaire. I don't care either. Midthought Eric: No, I think it's great. No. No. I care about the I care about the double standard from certain people on certain sides judging. What is that noise? Mid Thought Chris: Do you got some smoke detector thing that's not working? I don't think it's my decide. Anyway. Midthought Eric: Think it's your side. Alright. Mid Thought Chris: Ha ha ha. Midthought Eric: I would like to say, go on the record, that Mid Thought Chris: Eric would like to say. On the record. Midthought Eric: I hope the Kelseys or the Swifts, or what are they called? Mid Thought Chris: There's no shot they're gonna be the Kelsey's there, the Swifts. Midthought Eric: I hope they get divorced as soon as possible. Mid Thought Chris: Why would you say that? Midthought Eric: Because her career is gonna be ruined. There are Mid Thought Chris: Ruined. Midthought Eric: there are th hundreds of thousands of teenage girls, a whole generation of people that have latched on to Taylor Swift and her whole career is about ex-boyfriends and Mid Thought Chris: Breakup songs. Midthought Eric: breakup songs and how miserable I am and if only I knew you better. And for her sake and for all those people's sakes, I hope she gets divorced so that she can continue her legacy and Mid Thought Chris: The amount of bangers. Midthought Eric: And make more songs. Mid Thought Chris: The amount of bangers that her and let's be honest, Max Martin are gonna put out. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Let's be honest. Mid Thought Chris: Let's be honest, Max Martin, Midthought Eric: Wait, tell me about Max Martin. Mid Thought Chris: let me confirm the name. he Midthought Eric: All right. But I'm just saying her career is over. If she's in a happy relationship and married, what are the what is she gonna sing about? What are they gonna write about? Mid Thought Chris: I know, I know. The amount of bangers that she's gonna put out if if they do is is gonna keep that train rolling. Midthought Eric: She's like, and I'm just happy with my boyfriend. I love my husband. We have a great life. He really loves me. Like who cares, right? Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, no one's gonna listen to no one's gonna listen to that crap. Yeah, yeah. So, yeah, Max Martin. you ever notice how modern pop music all sounds the same? Midthought Eric: Yeah, he wrote for the Beebs, right? Mid Thought Chris: He's written for everyone. He's he's written Taylor Swift songs. He's Midthought Eric: Beyonce. Mid Thought Chris: written for Katy Perry, The Weekend, Ariana Grande. He's he's got twenty-nine hot one hundred number one singles, second only to Paul McCartney. He can't sing for crap, but he's written everything. Like it you look down at his hits and you're like, that's why this crap all sounds the same. Because Midthought Eric: So what he has that many ex boyfriends? Mid Thought Chris: no, but apparently he can write. And he's writing all these people songs like InSync, Backstreet Poys, Britney Spears, all the crap, all the crap, Midthought Eric: Wow, he goes way back. Mid Thought Chris: all the crap that you didn't listen to and I didn't listen to or but all Midthought Eric: How do you know I didn't listen to InSync of Britney Spears? that's pretty impressive Mid Thought Chris: because you probably wouldn't be my fri I'm just kidding. No, I listened Midthought Eric: though. I mean that spans like twenty years now. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. So he's still writing music and is like written a bunch of Taylor songs and so like yeah. There's a reason Midthought Eric: Thirty years. Hmm. What do you go, Max Martin, Max Miller? Mid Thought Chris: why it all sounds the same because it's all coming from the same people. Midthought Eric: you think it sounds the same? I think it sounds very unique and creative. Lots of instrument lots of instrument Mid Thought Chris: I I don't think not anymore it doesn't. It's Midthought Eric: playing. I mean Taylor's out there playing the piano, strumming a guitar. Mid Thought Chris: The little drum thing, the little drum machine. How'd we get on that? yeah, you said you wanted them to get a divorce and then Midthought Eric: current events. Yeah. I just wanted to go on record saying that I hope her career survives now that she's married. Happily married. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. I'm sure Max is gonna go find the new hotness and and write for them. So I think I think we're safe as as long as he's still as Midthought Eric: And then everybody will be singing about how happy they are. Mid Thought Chris: long as he's still around, I think we're good. Midthought Eric: Alright, plug for Max Miller. Max Martin. reverse plug. Mid Thought Chris: Martin. not a plug. Not supporting of not supportive of all this nonsense reverse plug for garbage pop music that all sounds the same. Thank you. Midthought Eric: You suck, Max. I mean that's my personal opinion, not the opinion of Mid Thought Chris: Burst will be Midthought Eric: You cannot sue me. You cannot sue me. Cause I'm protected. Alright, let's pay it. Put on the card. Put on the company card. Mid Thought Chris: Shoot. You know what? I gotta pay that bill, come to think of it. We gotta pay that bill. Hey Eric, we gotta pay that bill. So so we're active so we're active for another year. I I forgot to tell you, we all have some money. No! This poor guy Yeah, that's what I think about that too, producer Mike. Midthought Eric: Put it on producer Mike's card. He said he had extra. Mid Thought Chris: What Midthought Eric: one more quick current event you might have missed. Mid Thought Chris: do you mean qu one what do you mean only one more? Only Midthought Eric: This is Mid Thought Chris: one more? Midthought Eric: well, I just one more I had on my on my notes, but Mid Thought Chris: Okay, okay, okay. Midthought Eric: you you're gonna be really surprised by this. Mid Thought Chris: no. Midthought Eric: I have sad news to share. Mid Thought Chris: no. Midthought Eric: Ugh. Okay. How can I best deliver this? Thank you. Keep it going. There is a pitcher Mid Thought Chris: no. Midthought Eric: for the Texas Rangers Mid Thought Chris: no. Midthought Eric: named Jacob deGrom. Mid Thought Chris: no, tell me he's not he's not. Midthought Eric: He j he just got hurt. Mid Thought Chris: No I'm shocked. I'm shocked. Midthought Eric: He is he is on the he is on the fifteen day DL. I don't know anything Mid Thought Chris: Okay, okay. Just fifteen? Midthought Eric: about his history or if he's fragile or not, but he was really Mid Thought Chris: Just not fragile. Midthought Eric: helping my fantasy baseball team by giving up five home runs a game. Mid Thought Chris: Is he not having a great year? Midthought Eric: for his standards, it sucks. For everybody else. Mid Thought Chris: What's his ERA like two point five? Midthought Eric: Something like that. And his whip is still below one. Mid Thought Chris: That dude's a freak of nature. I feel I feel s Midthought Eric: Yeah, if he's if he's healthy, he's gonna be awesome. But he's hurt. Mid Thought Chris: I feel so bad. There's not a lot of professional athletes that I like Yeah, I feel bad, but like I feel really bad for that dude because he's a f he's a freak of nature. He's the Midthought Eric: Yeah. But he keeps trying, man. Like he could quit now. He could just walk away now and be like, I'm done. And nobody would care. You know? But he keeps rehabbing eight months out of the year, 'cause he's always hurt six months out of year. Mid Thought Chris: Poor guy. Midthought Eric: yeah. So Mid Thought Chris: Hmm. Midthought Eric: I was saying earlier, maybe before the show started, that I'm really Mid Thought Chris: You were saying earlier, before Midthought Eric: good I'm a really good owner of a fantasy I'm an owner and manager of a fantasy baseball team. I do. I give them I give them speeches, pep talks before every game. I'm gonna drop you Mid Thought Chris: Do you train them too? Do you train all those dudes? Hmm. Pointers. Listen, mother f you Midthought Eric: and you're gonna play for a losing team. So if you want to play for a winner, you better shape it up. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, or else you're gonna get dropped and you're gonna get picked up by Ben's biscuits or something. Midthought Eric: Yeah, but for like literally the last five years, there there are two players, Jacob deGrom and Mike Trout. If I can get them f so I'm talking fa like Mid Thought Chris: Okay. Oof. Oof. Midthought Eric: so my fancy team is a it's like a draft, like and when you draft you do it's a auction draft. So you have like two Mid Thought Chris: Mm. I know what you're saying. Midthought Eric: you have like two hundred and fifty dollars to spend. Mid Thought Chris: Fake dollars. Midthought Eric: Yes, it's not real. two hundred fifty dollars. You you pay you Mid Thought Chris: Not too not real. Midthought Eric: pay sixty dollars to go into the link and then everything else is pretend. Okay. So Mid Thought Chris: So what I'm hearing is that you are a serial gambler. Midthought Eric: Yes, with sixty dollars a year. Yeah. And so Mid Thought Chris: Continue, sorry. Midthought Eric: so you get two hundred and fifty dollars of draft width. Mid Thought Chris: Fifty Dara. Midthought Eric: And every year I'm like, if I can get Mike Trout or Jacob de Grom for like eight dollars or less in fantasy money, I'm gonna do it. Because at the Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Just take a flyer on You don't you never know. Midthought Eric: at the worst case scenario, they're gonna be hurt and it Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: doesn't they're gonna be on my IL slot, they're not gonna cost me a roster spot. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: And then whenever they happen to play, they're gonna be awesome. Mid Thought Chris: They're gonna be freaks in nature. Midthought Eric: So literally like three of the last five years I've had both de Grom like the one year I had DeGrom, 'cause it's a keeper league, so it's like I Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: had him for like three years straight. Mid Thought Chris: He was hurt all year? Midthought Eric: yeah, and it's like he cost me nothing. so anyways, those are the two current events I wanted to tell you about since it's been a while. Tay Tay, Mid Thought Chris: Hm. I appreciate that. Midthought Eric: Tay Tay and DeGrom. and then also Justin Verlander's retiring at the end of this year, even though he hasn't he hasn't Mid Thought Chris: No way. He's like seventy. Midthought Eric: he hasn't pitched for like five years. But well he still has he has Kate. He has Kate, so that says something. He's retiring Mid Thought Chris: He's like seventy. that's Midthought Eric: from baseball, not retiring from his home life. Allegedly. Yes. Mid Thought Chris: Mm, that's good. That's good. All right, so deGrom stats for this year. Midthought Eric: Yeah, they're higher. They're like a career Mid Thought Chris: The Midthought Eric: high, but they're still really good compared to everybody else. Mid Thought Chris: not a sports show by any stretch, but he has a ERA of three point four nine. Midthought Eric: What is this career ERA? Let's just stop right there. I'm guessing it's like two point eight. Mid Thought Chris: like point five. I'm just kidding. I don't know collectively. I don't I'm I'm looking to just here. Let me let me look here. Let me look here. Let me look here. There's gotta be Midthought Eric: Look there. I think Jacob de Grom, ERA. Mid Thought Chris: a come on people. Let me see it. Let me s Midthought Eric: Goody SPN. Mid Thought Chris: let me see collective. That's what I'm on right now. I'm terrible at this stuff. Midthought Eric: So this year he's Mid Thought Chris: whoop whoop whoop whoop whoop I gotta Alright, career ERA is two point six three. Yeah, you did. That's great. He's a he's a freak, man. Midthought Eric: Alright, I said two point eight. That's pretty good. Now his hold on, wait, his career whip is probably like Mid Thought Chris: What does whip mean? Walks to whatever. Midthought Eric: walks hits walks and hits Mid Thought Chris: In expatch? Midthought Eric: printing's pitch, yeah. I'm guessing he's right on one. Hits throws, hits and throws. Mid Thought Chris: Hits and throws. yeah, he's point nine nine over his career one point zero one this year. He's a freak. Absolute freak. Midthought Eric: Dang. That is so good. Like, do you realize how good that is? Yeah. And he's been injured like half his life. Mid Thought Chris: Yep. Midthought Eric: Like two thirds of his life. Mid Thought Chris: I mean when you're throwing the ball a hundred and seventy miles an hour every night, it's it's gotta be Midthought Eric: Now he can't even throw it over ninety four and he's still good. Mid Thought Chris: Really? He doesn't throw over ninety-four anymore? that's sad. In his Midthought Eric: Mm, I don't know. That was a that was maybe an exaggeration. But it it slowed down. I mean it he's had like three Tommy John surgeries. Mid Thought Chris: in his prime, there was a really funny tweet from Midthought Eric: Yes. Mid Thought Chris: In his in his many injuries, d he got sent down it like when you're trying to make it back into the pros, they'll send you down to single A, double A, or triple A, minor league teams, right? Which are obviously not the pros. They are, you know, often filled with dudes who are trying to make it who are, you know Midthought Eric: They're great games to watch though. Mid Thought Chris: super entertaining games to watch, right? Midthought Eric: Go to. Mid Thought Chris: But hit he was down at one of these minor league games and the opposing team put out a tweet like after de Grom had played or like during the game that said, DeGrom is throwing a hundred and one, send help or something like that. It was hilarious. yeah. Midthought Eric: Yes. Yes. Well I'll just say this. when you pitched with Mid Thought Chris: Just say this. Midthought Eric: when you pitched with him on the show on Playstation Four, I couldn't hit him at all. So Mid Thought Chris: Mm. No. I don't know which how much of that is me and how much of that is Jacob. Midthought Eric: I think it's a a good combination of both. Like you got a great Mid Thought Chris: Good combination. Good combination. Midthought Eric: player and you got a great controller and I had no hope. I was oppressed. Mid Thought Chris: I mean I'm pretty bad. No hope. Midthought Eric: producer Mike, speaking of baseball, I think I sent you a Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Midthought Eric: quick video, a quick short of the big the game of the baseball. Mid Thought Chris: boy. Midthought Eric: This game of the baseball. he's asleep. Mid Thought Chris: Producer Mike, how are you, bud? We've we've missed you. It's just been us yaking this entire time. But how have you been? Midthought Eric: No, no, no. He made some appearances. Mid Thought Chris: He put on weird clothing. not him personally, but he showed weird Producer Mike: What? Mid Thought Chris: clothing. Hey there he is. Not you, Midthought Eric: Well Hey Producer Mike: There has been no wardrobe change. Mid Thought Chris: but you showed a weird article of clothing. Midthought Eric: Well what's funny is that producer Producer Mike: That's true. Midthought Eric: Mike says normally he's he's n it's his it's his it's his smoke alarm. You kept blaming me. Mid Thought Chris: It's his you gotta get that fixed. Producer Mike: Dang. I keep telling keep telling the missus the things changed. Mid Thought Chris: They make these things, they're called batteries. Midthought Eric: Nine volts or two double A's, one of the two. Producer Mike: Yeah. They also make these Mid Thought Chris: Holy crap. Midthought Eric: Whoa! What is that? Is that a cartridge? Producer Mike: Batteries. Midthought Eric: A magazine? A magazine of batteries? Mid Thought Chris: That is a magazine. Dude. Producer Mike: It's a it's a magazine for batteries. Midthought Eric: A double a magazine. Mid Thought Chris: He's gonna go somebody's gonna be breaking into his house. He's gonna grab his AR. He's gonna throw Midthought Eric: Don't Mid Thought Chris: that at No, I got the battery one! Yeah, you get you get arrested. They'll throw they'll lock Midthought Eric: Don't go into don't go into Maryland with that. Don't go you go into Maryland, they're gonna pounce on you. Producer Mike: I got the r wrong run. Yeah. This is like a fifteen Mid Thought Chris: you up and throw away the key. Midthought Eric: You have a battery magazine? There's a limit here for three batteries per Mid Thought Chris: Ha ha ha. Midthought Eric: magazine. Producer Mike: Well I'm screwed. I think I got like twelve in here. Midthought Eric: Andrew Cuomo Mid Thought Chris: Exactly. Midthought Eric: passed that. Mid Thought Chris: Exactly. Producer Mike: That's a high capacity battery magazine. It gives it gives battery Midthought Eric: I love it. That's all you need. Producer Mike: a whole new meaning. Midthought Eric: That's all you need. Yes, it gives the battery Mid Thought Chris: Mm ooh. Alright. Midthought Eric: the battery. Producer Mike: I do I do have that Midthought Eric: So in the game of the baseball, a battery refers to what, Chris? Myth that Chris? Mid Thought Chris: This question for me. The Midthought Eric: A battery, yes. Mid Thought Chris: pitcher and the catcher. Midthought Eric: Thank you. And why is that? I have no idea either. It's one of the greater mysteries of the planet. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Hey producer Mike. Producer Mike: Because one turns the other on. Mid Thought Chris: We asked a couple I don't remember what those questions were now that I think about it. why are they called the Virgin Islands? And what Producer Mike: Virgin Islands. Okay, hold on. Mid Thought Chris: was the second one? Midthought Eric: No virgins. Producer Mike: Hold on. So it is Christopher Columbus Mid Thought Chris: Ooh. Producer Mike: named the I'm gonna screw up these pronunciations. Archipelago Archie Arch Mid Thought Chris: I'm here for it. Archip Archipelago? Archipelago? Midthought Eric: perfect. Producer Mike: beautiful. During his second Midthought Eric: Hashapalago. Producer Mike: second voyage to the Americas in fourteen Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Producer Mike: ninety-three, he called them Santa Ursula y Las Mil Virginis I'm trying. I'm trying here It which essentially which essentially means Mid Thought Chris: You're for it. Midthought Eric: Me once the virgins, is that what that is? Producer Mike: Saint Ursula and and her eleven thousand virgins which was later shortened Midthought Eric: No such thing. Producer Mike: to the Virgin Islands. Mid Thought Chris: Man, I have I have that's there's a lot of questions there. Who Midthought Eric: There's a lot of questions that come out of that. And I'm just gonna bite my tongue. Producer Mike: There's there's more questions knowing the answer. Mid Thought Chris: Who is Ursula? The little mermaid chick, the giant squid? The Midthought Eric: she's from The Little Mermaid. Yes. Producer Mike: Santa Santa Santa Ursula Mid Thought Chris: giant squid? Producer Mike: It's a saint Saint Ursula. Mid Thought Chris: Who's Midthought Eric: She killed sh she killed the dad with the trident. Producer Mike: She's a saint. Mid Thought Chris: Dorothy Mantooth is a saint. Okay. Who is Ursula and why does why does she is she like a is she a madam? Like why does she have virgins? Midthought Eric: It's It's Greek mythology. Producer Mike: It's a it's a cat it's a Catholic Midthought Eric: It's Greek mythology. Producer Mike: legend of Saint Ursula, a third century princess who was Mid Thought Chris: She's a saint? Producer Mike: martyred by Midthought Eric: Mm. Producer Mike: the Huns. Let's get down to business to defeat. Mid Thought Chris: Why does she have virgins though? Why does she have virgins? Midthought Eric: So many of them. Producer Mike: So she was martyred by Mid Thought Chris: Eleven virgins. Producer Mike: the Huns along with her thousands of virgin companions. She ch Mid Thought Chris: She's a madam. Producer Mike: she just rollin' with some virgins. Mid Thought Chris: She's a madam. Midthought Eric: It sounds like a bunch of nuns. Producer Mike: So essentially Mid Thought Chris: She sounds like a madam. Producer Mike: so she is the the manager of a high end brothel. And now she has islands named after her concubines. Allegedly. Mid Thought Chris: Allegedly. Midthought Eric: And that's what we call them. I feel like our senators some of our senators should focus their attention on that. Producer Mike: So so why isn't it called the Ursula Islands instead of the Virgin Islands? Like Mid Thought Chris: Right. Producer Mike: we we skipped the actual cause it says that that Christopher C Columbus named Mid Thought Chris: Saint Ursula, right? Producer Mike: it after Saint Ursula, but he didn't. He named it after Midthought Eric: Saint. Producer Mike: the the virgins she had with her. Mid Thought Chris: So should it be like Midthought Eric: Of course he did. Mid Thought Chris: indigenous peoples islands or something? Like what are we Producer Mike: Indigenous people. Midthought Eric: He he went there to look for eleven thousand virgins. Like what would you name the island for? Producer Mike: Yeah. He Mid Thought Chris: Was he Producer Mike: was like, I heard Mid Thought Chris: from was Producer Mike: you got eleven thousand of them. Mid Thought Chris: I mean wet small one. I'll take Midthought Eric: Give me just one. I just need one. I'll take two Producer Mike: I'm I'm about to name Allen after you. Mid Thought Chris: two. Was he part hang on W Midthought Eric: Hey, while we're talking about Greek mythology, how about that new Odysseus movie? Mid Thought Chris: Oof. Not political. Midthought Eric: The Odyssey? Producer Mike: Yeah, yeah, that's that's a that's a touchy subject. They're checking off some boxes on that one. Midthought Eric: Wait, why why? I was just asking about a movie. Mid Thought Chris: what okay, was Midthought Eric: I heard look, all I heard all Producer Mike: Be real here. Mid Thought Chris: I don't know what you mean by that. Midthought Eric: I heard was, and maybe you can explain Producer Mike: Nobody. Midthought Eric: it, but I did see a news article that said the the the Mid Thought Chris: Very unbiased, I'm sure. Midthought Eric: the preview or the Producer Mike: Absolutely. Midthought Eric: the trailer for the Odyssey got the most dislikes of any movie ever, by far. And I don't know how you dislike that. I mean was it YouTube? I don't know. But people are pissed and they don't even know like what's going on. I don't know. Like I'm honestly I've I'm not trying to stoke the pot. Earlier I was. Mid Thought Chris: Stoke the pot. What does stoke the pot mean? Do you mean stir the pot? Midthought Eric: Like agitate. No, stoke. I stoke it. No, you stoke the fire. Mid Thought Chris: Stir the pot. Producer Mike: Ha so wa the plot thickens. Midthought Eric: Wait, are we talking about Ursula or the Virgins or the Odyssey? Producer Mike: So the od No, we're t we're talking about the Odyssey. So the Odyssey trailer, you are right, Chris. Or sorry, Eric. The but Midthought Eric: Thank you. Tell Chris that I'm right. Producer Mike: but the trailer is now the second Mid Thought Chris: I didn't disagree with you. Midthought Eric: Yeah. Producer Mike: most disliked Hollywood trailer ever with an estimated eighty percent dislikes. Mid Thought Chris: First one was Snow White. Producer Mike: Bested by, you guessed it, Chris, the Rachel Ziggler led Snow White, Mid Thought Chris: Ha ha ha! Midthought Eric: Well Producer Mike: which had 90% dislikes. Thank you, thank you, Midthought Eric: Well we'll get give it time, it'll it'll catch up. Producer Mike: America. Mid Thought Chris: Okay, so I is is part of Midthought Eric: We're still listening there's still hope, right? Mid Thought Chris: that like I'm cu I haven't watched any of the trailers Producer Mike: Ho ho my Mid Thought Chris: is what's that? Producer Mike: Sorry, I just saw the the number of dislikes. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, what is it? Midthought Eric: For Snow White? Producer Mike: for the Odyssey. It's Midthought Eric: What happened with Snow White? Producer Mike: five hundred thousand dislikes on Mid Thought Chris: Food. Producer Mike: the Odyssey. Midthought Eric: How many likes? Producer Mike: I I don't know. It just said this dislikes 'cause that's really all that matters. Mid Thought Chris: So I think I don't know. People who are a lot smarter than me had a had a dialogue about it on a podcast, I think they it was today. yeah. I I think a lot of that has it's I think it I think a lot of it I'm not sure how much of it is necessarily I'm not sure how much of the smoke that is being thrown at the movie is is just being like overblown at this point and now it's like it's kind of one of those things that's just kind of taken off, right? To where people if people are just Midthought Eric: A self fulfilling prophecy, if you will. Mid Thought Chris: like kind of jumping on this for you know, the sake of jumping on it. When in actuality it just doesn't necessarily look Midthought Eric: Ooh, that's an A V. Mid Thought Chris: it doesn't when in actuality like it just doesn't look like a good movie and it's less about the woke part of it and it's more just about like a this just doesn't look good. I d I don't know. Casting decisions seem a little bit interesting, I will say. is Producer Mike: Well, they definitely Midthought Eric: Do tell. Producer Mike: lean in a certain direction. Mid Thought Chris: I they did go, like those of you who might not have seen it, there's a movie called Tr Midthought Eric: Sir Mid Thought Chris: Troy back in the day. It was very but Midthought Eric: Brad Pitt. Mid Thought Chris: yeah. And so there's a very interesting move in the like casting of this new one and Midthought Eric: But I thought Troy was good. Like I thought that was a cool movie. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, it was good. Yeah. And this one seems to have a few holes in it. I heard that they used like different they had like American accents or something like that and yeah. I I don't really have too much to say about it. I think it's kinda funny to watch like all the smoke being thrown at it. I think it's I don't either. Midthought Eric: I seriously I like honestly I d I have no idea. I I just heard that. Mid Thought Chris: I know it's I'm I'm kinda chuckling at the at the Midthought Eric: I don't know anything about the movie or who what i is it even out? Like when's it coming out? Mid Thought Chris: No, I don't think it's out yet. Producer Mike: No. Mid Thought Chris: I I'm just kinda I I'm kind of just Midthought Eric: So there's still a chance that it gets more dislikes than what what was it? What happened to Snow White? Mid Thought Chris: It's no way, yeah. I Producer Mike: No snow white. It's still early. The forecast is still out on whether it's going to surpass it in dislikes. Mid Thought Chris: D what happened to Snow White? Midthought Eric: Let's all do our part. Mid Thought Chris: Eric, is that what you said? I think I don't Midthought Eric: Yeah. Yeah. I don't pay attention to any of these movies. Mid Thought Chris: either. Snow White was like a live action redo of like the original and I think with Sn the Producer Mike: Well and there was a lot of press. Mid Thought Chris: s Snow White, I think what hurt that movie the most was, you know, some of the some of the cast was perceived as being Producer Mike: Rachel Ziegler. Sorry. Excuse me. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, I mean without naming names. Thank you, producer Mike. without naming names, what what's a good Midthought Eric: I don't know who that is. Mid Thought Chris: what's a good way to describe insufferable, Midthought Eric: Show us a picture. Mid Thought Chris: out of touch with reality? What's another like just not really well received or liked? Midthought Eric: So but that's Disney, right? Like well that was a Disney thing, right? Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, but they kind of caught the hint a little bit and like delayed its release. Like they they were like, hmm, this is getting a lot of heat. Like we should probably and then Midthought Eric: Maybe they'll forget about it. Mid Thought Chris: they like s slowly released it later, I think. Like they they kind of like but Christopher Nolan Midthought Eric: I'm goo I'm Googling who Rachel Rachel who? Rachel. Producer Mike: Ziggler. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, like Crystal Nolan is I think the point was made that he's like Producer Mike: Just just search Snow White. Mid Thought Chris: he's like one of the best directors alive right now. Like he's incredible. So Producer Mike: Absolutely. Mid Thought Chris: it's it's kind of weird to see like him like putting out a movie like this that's getting so much heat, but yeah, it's just my I don't know. Midthought Eric: Rachel Ann Ziggler is an American singer and actress who got landed lead roles on Broadway and in Hollywood. What happened to her? Mid Thought Chris: Right. Producer Mike: Snow White ha Midthought Eric: she was in the shoes in the Hunger Games. Producer Mike: Snow White happened. Midthought Eric: All right. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, s she was in Producer Mike: She was Mid Thought Chris: yeah. Producer Mike: a supporting cast. She wasn't a main character. Rachel Ziegler, she wasn't Midthought Eric: right. That's what it says. Mid Thought Chris: Hunger Games? She was in Producer Mike: like a main character. Mid Thought Chris: She was in one of the more recent Hunger Games movies. She wasn't in the older ones with she wasn't Midthought Eric: Yes, the new one. The new one. Yeah, the new one. Producer Mike: All right. Mid Thought Chris: in the ones with J Law. Midthought Eric: No, she wasn't. I would know that. Producer Mike: I didn't I don't think I see the new ones. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, I I haven't either. yeah, it's Midthought Eric: All right, well that was good. Mid Thought Chris: yeah, I d I don't know. we Midthought Eric: I still don't understand, but I'll I'll do some Googling. Mid Thought Chris: we shall see. It's it's really it's kinda comical, really, Eric. You I think you'll get a chuckle out of what you find. Midthought Eric: So is it like is it like like a f like a like a few sparks and then people just take it and then all of a sudden it's a wild a wildfire? Mid Thought Chris: I think there's probably a little bit of that. There's probably a little Producer Mike: Yeah. Probably. Mid Thought Chris: bit of it like kind of there's comparisons. There's comparis Yep, that's Producer Mike: Kinda like a mob mob mentality. Midthought Eric: If he's such a good director, like Mid Thought Chris: the producer Mike, I think you're absolutely right. Like it is a mob mentality. Like like just calling what calling it what it is, right? Like you get like, you know, people from certain persuasion are kinda pissed off about the casting, like, well, whatever. And then like I I think there are entities that love to see our country like at each other's throats, right? And so I'd be shocked if there wasn't entities that were kind of like stoking this fire to get like this group over here pissed off at this group over here and then like just Midthought Eric: I like the the Odyssey was one of like the like the main books everybody reads in high school. Like it's Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Yep. Midthought Eric: if and there's never like there's never been a movie about the actual Odyssey, right? Like as far as Mid Thought Chris: Troy was, kind of, right, wasn't it? Producer Mike: Yeah, Troy was kind of a it's not named the Odyssey, but Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: But that's just the one Producer Mike: it's kind of based off the the characters. Midthought Eric: like that's just the one battle, right? Like the Odyssey has a whole bunch of other stuff, right? Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Producer Mike: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: I'm kind of I'm curious to see how that goes. I think but either way I'm just kind of chuckling at how it's all going. But it's kinda funny. Some of the memes are great. Yeah. Midthought Eric: Cool. All right. Mid Thought Chris: Eric, any other current events I might have missed? What do you think? Midthought Eric: Nope. I I've had way too many. Yep. Mid Thought Chris: Way too many. Producer Mike, how have you been? You doing alright? Yeah? Family alright? Family good? Producer Mike: I'm doing alright. Doing well. Yeah. Yeah, fam was good. We did some vacationing. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, where'd you guys what'd you guys do? Producer Mike: we went to the beach and Mid Thought Chris: Ooh. Midthought Eric: Which beach? Producer Mike: so it was Fenwick Island. Technically it's right it's in Delaware, it's right above yeah, Mid Thought Chris: Where's that at? Where's that at? Boston? Delaware, okay. Midthought Eric: A fanwork. That's right below that's right below me. Producer Mike: right above Ocean City, Maryland. Mid Thought Chris: Nice. Producer Mike: So we actually went down to like the boardwalk and stuff. so Ooh. Mid Thought Chris: Sweet. Favorite boardwalk food. What's your you got a tradition? Producer Mike: No well actually I don't really have like favorite boardwalk food, but we went to French fries. Mid Thought Chris: Sure. Midthought Eric: French fries Bird fries Funnel cakes Producer Mike: Is that is that a stim? Like what's going on already? Is having flashbacks? that's right. Bethany Beach. Mid Thought Chris: What are you choking? Midthought Eric: Yes. Hey, we go to Bethany Beach. We're right above you, bud. We're right right there with you. Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: You make Producer Mike: Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: fun of me for being in the Navy. What is this? Producer Mike: What's that going Midthought Eric: No, that's Rehobith. Producer Mike: on? A roll yeah. Mid Thought Chris: okay, okay, okay. Midthought Eric: Rehoboth is the one. Mid Thought Chris: Continues sorry. Producer Mike: The what? Midthought Eric: That's where Bribo lives. And shuff shuffles around the sand, falls down on his bike. Mid Thought Chris: Okay, continue, producer Mike. That walk. Producer Mike, sorry. Producer Mike: Real Bibles. There's this sniffs their shoulder. Midthought Eric: Come on. Producer Mike: Yeah. Midthought Eric: So it's so it's Ocean City, then Fenwick, then Bethany, then Dewey Beach, then Rehoboth. And then nope, that's the other way. Yep. I got ya. I got you. I got ya, bro. Yep. Producer Mike: Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. I I I actually have no idea. But I'm just saying yep. Yep. Yep. I'm na Mid Thought Chris: Then Saint Pete. He is not Sounds good? That was a good time? Producer Mike: I'm yeah, it was a good time. We went to this place it's like pizza and pancakes. Like that's our whole thing, and I got pizza there and it was it was really good. The kids got pancakes and I got pizza. I was happy. Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Ooh. That's a great combination. Hmm. Right. Yeah, a hundred percent. Producer Mike: Kids were happy, I was happy, it was a good time. But Mid Thought Chris: Sounds great. Producer Mike: the one thing that was the worst part of the vacation Mid Thought Chris: Ooh, okay. Producer Mike: was we got to the beach house and Mid Thought Chris: Okay. Producer Mike: the the AC in the beach house was Mid Thought Chris: no. Surrendered. Midthought Eric: Did France used to do much of it? Producer Mike: was European because it was bro it was broken. It was Mid Thought Chris: It was broken. Producer Mike: It when we got in there it was 85 degrees. Mid Thought Chris: No. Producer Mike: It was horrible. And yeah, there's there's others I was it was a horrible start to the vacation. it was European, yeah. European on my Mid Thought Chris: Was this European Midthought Eric: Or New York City and Producer Mike: European on my vacay. Kind of come on. Mid Thought Chris: Seventy eight. Producer Mike: What the AC? What are you what are you mad? Are you insane? Just just Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, it was a joke. What are you mad? Just communist. Midthought Eric: Send it to seventy eight in New York City. Are you a commie? Producer Mike: because of that comment, I set my AC down to the seventy eight the sixty-eight. I'm like, I'm gonna I'm gonna freeze in this thing. My Mid Thought Chris: Yes. Two degrees lower. Yes, exactly. Midthought Eric: Yes. And put all the windows open. Producer Mike: my electrical bill is gonna bankrupt me, but screw you, New York Mayor. Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: It's out of principle. Midthought Eric: You guys have fun up there. Producer Mike: You guys enjoy the heat wave. I'm gonna be over here with my windows frosting. Midthought Eric: Icebox. Mid Thought Chris: Ice works. Producer Mike: Yeah, so needless to say it was a horrible start to the vacation. and then I got sick. Which I Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Ooh. Producer Mike: think I think there was mold in the house 'cause I have like a terrible reaction to mould and it was all around terrible. But Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, coming out the top or the bottom? okay, okay. Okay. That's Producer Mike: The top. Yeah. Thankfully not at the bottom. But I mean the the vacation was not all around terrible. The house was terrible. Mid Thought Chris: It the the vacation wasn't ruined. the house is bad though. Okay. Awesome. Producer Mike: No, it was not ruined. The kids had a great time. Midthought Eric: It's ruined. Producer Mike: they, you know, weren't phased at all. Although sleeping in a hot box, not ideal. Especially my kids who are used to like sixty eight degrees, like on normal. They hotbox it. I thought that was Colorado. Mid Thought Chris: not ideal. Yeah. Yeah. Did did did they come did Midthought Eric: That's what the French do. Yes. Mid Thought Chris: they eventually come fix the house? What happened? Producer Mike: So yeah, it's we got there on Saturday and then on Monday they sh they came and and fixed it. They put in a whole they spent the entire day putting a new AC unit in the attic. So I hadn't to like Mid Thought Chris: Shh, yes. Producer Mike: like shimmy around like the Midthought Eric: Ha ha. Producer Mike: the the guys working and and they're stomping around upstairs as my daughter's trying to sleep and I'm like It was like I wanted to murder somebody. Mid Thought Chris: Did they give you like a refund on that first two days? Producer Mike: I don't know, I didn't pay for it, so it Mid Thought Chris: okay, okay. Producer Mike: It wasn't it was my it was my in laws that paid for it. So I would hope that they got something Mid Thought Chris: Alright, that ain't bad. Right. Producer Mike: back 'cause that's just ludicrous that they Mid Thought Chris: Right. Producer Mike: that we didn't have AC for well and they were there an additional day. Mid Thought Chris: Oof. Producer Mike: but I guess my my stepmother in law had the idea that we were just gonna shut off all the AC and crack open all the windows. And so that just made things like a hundred times worse. Midthought Eric: We're seeing a sweat Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Midthought Eric: more. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah. Producer Mike: yeah. And so yeah. Mid Thought Chris: All right. Midthought Eric: So Fenwick, Fenwick's pretty cool. Like, were you guys right on the like the main route Producer Mike: Yeah. Midthought Eric: one drag? Producer Mike: Yeah, yeah. So we we were yeah, I forget what the road was called, but yeah. it w it was like a two minute drive to the Route One and then we went up to the state park and paid paid the highway robbery parking fee per day. Midthought Eric: W were you guys along Route fifty four at all? Like the one that goes over Producer Mike: I have no idea. I don't know. Midthought Eric: the bridge the other way? Producer Mike: I don't know. The the over the I'm not sure. I'm really not sure. I was so on the way down we decided to try and do a nap drive. Bad idea. Yeah, so so when my Midthought Eric: A nap drive? They never work for us. Producer Mike: when my daughter was trying to nap, like during Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Producer Mike: her nap time, I was like, Midthought Eric: Mm. Producer Mike: Well drive down during that so Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Producer Mike: sleep for two hours. She didn't sleep for a minute. Midthought Eric: Never works. Nope. Producer Mike: And and Close to the end, she got very restless, and I got very restless, and so I was not a happy camper. Mid Thought Chris: Mm. Yeah. Producer Mike: but on the way back, I decided to do a nighttime drive, and that going forward is how I'm going to travel with my young kids. Daytime, nighttime, daytime. Hey Fran, you want to play a game at nighttime, daytime? Midthought Eric: Do it at night. That's all you need. Yep. Yep. Mid Thought Chris: Night time daytime night time Love it No I got my Xbox Producer Mike: I got my Xbox. Mid Thought Chris: All right, gents. I think that's all the brain cells I got. I don't know about Midthought Eric: Yep. Mid Thought Chris: you guys. Midthought Eric: Who's watching Connor McGregor tomorrow? Mid Thought Chris: Who? I'm just kidding. Is it pay per view or do do you gotta pay for that? Alright. Producer Mike: I am for sure. Connie McGregor versus Holloway? No, it's on it's on Paramount Plus. Midthought Eric: It's it's free. Well, if you have Paramount Plus it's free. Mid Thought Chris: Very well. Producer Mike: Yeah. So it's a he hasn't fought in he hasn't fought Holloway in 'cause this is Holloway two. Midthought Eric: So there was like this there was like this big big thing with him, like this big like challenge that said like his whole lower leg is titanium alloy rod. And they're like, that's a that's a weapon. Yeah. No, no, mate. No, it's good. Producer Mike: Yeah. Yep. He's basically steel. So we're gonna kick gonna kick his shins until he bleeds. Mid Thought Chris: So he's gonna kick the entire time. That's a weapon. Right. I mean he's coked out of his mind all the time too, isn't he? Or Midthought Eric: Yeah, I wanna watch it. I Producer Mike: Well, he Midthought Eric: wanna watch it. Producer Mike: he has gotten he has Mid Thought Chris: Is he clean? Midthought Eric: He's crazy. Producer Mike: he's stepped away from that. He actually, you know I mean, I don't know. Mid Thought Chris: Yeah, that's good. Midthought Eric: Allegedly. Producer Mike: He could be doing it allegedly, you know. So he could be Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Producer Mike: but he seems a lot calmer and not as like Mid Thought Chris: That's good. Did Midthought Eric: He also Mid Thought Chris: you did you see him in Roadhouse? Midthought Eric: like he also looks pretty And what? Mid Thought Chris: Your browser doesn't allow recording, what? All right. Midthought Eric: Producer Mike, Mid Thought Chris: All right. Midthought Eric: I will just say that he looks very different. I don't like did he get a did he get a facelift Mid Thought Chris: Keep talk we're t me talk. Midthought Eric: or something? Like he looks very different. Mid Thought Chris: He was thick. Midthought Eric: No no, I mean like yesterday's w like I saw clips of his weigh in. and he's what like one seventy now or whatever. He used to be like one fifty. Is that the difference? Yeah. It just looks like it looks like he had a like a whole facelift or something. Like I'm I was just like, Wow And like the tattoos and all that stuff, you know it's him, but like the beard's still there. But So how long has it been since he shattered his ankle the last time? I was thinking like five to seven years ago. Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. Midthought Eric: No, it's it was Poirier. He And Dana White was laying down on the ground with him and he's like, I just broke my ankle, man. I don't know what's going on. Mid Thought Chris: Mm-hmm. It's Midthought Eric: Yeah, five years. Mid Thought Chris: been a while. Midthought Eric: Five years. It took him five years to come back. That's crazy. So what is it like thir like thirty, like low thirties now? Or mid he's like he's probably thirty five or so. Mid Thought Chris: Thirty seven. J'ai. Midthought Eric: It'll be interesting. Dirty-six. Yeah. Mid Thought Chris: Love it. Midthought Eric: Alright. Brain cells are shot. Nice, nice gang signs there. Mid Thought Chris: Dude, it's it's Midthought Eric: Hey, change your smoke detector. Mid Thought Chris: It's it's great seeing you guys.
