- 0:19Speaker 4: Of course, that Kevin Show is going to be great.
- 0:21Speaker 5: The only thing that could be greater, of course, would
- 0:23Speaker 5: be that Donald Show, but we don't have that.
- 0:24Speaker 1: So we have that Kevin.
- 0:25Speaker 3: Show featuring the music of Dick Tunney and the Dream

- 0:57Speaker 3: It's Kevin McCullough Monday through Friday on that Heavin Oh and.
- 1:08Speaker 6: Now from mcconnor's and Sullivan But Studios. The man who
- 1:12Speaker 6: is not what he wants to be, that is way grateful,
- 1:16Speaker 6: that is not who he used to be.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Here, well, Kevin mccullar has a well deserved a few
- 1:29Speaker 4: days off with his family and so he has turned
- 1:31Speaker 4: the mic over to a couple of amateurs. Hopefully we
- 1:34Speaker 4: won't hit the wrong button and take the station off
- 1:37Speaker 4: the air. We are just honored to be in the
- 1:41Speaker 4: seat of Kevin McCullough this week, who has been a
- 1:44Speaker 4: great friend of Bible League and my colleague here at
- 1:49Speaker 4: the Bible League. Andy Earnshaw joins me. I'm Michael Woolworth,
- 1:53Speaker 4: but Andy, welcome this morning.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Yeah, good morning, Thank you so much. Great to be
- 1:57Speaker 2: on the show.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I don't mean to embarrass Kevin mcaull, but he has
- 2:00Speaker 4: been a great friend of Bible League over many, many years.
- 2:03Speaker 4: It's more than two decades right where he has asked
- 2:06Speaker 4: his listeners without any reservation, to be a part of
- 2:09Speaker 4: what God is doing through the ministry of Bible League.
- 2:12Speaker 4: And we don't want to make this all about Bible
- 2:14Speaker 4: League today. In fact, Andy, I don't know do you
- 2:15Speaker 4: ever just want to break from the headlines of the day.
- 2:19Speaker 4: I mean, Michael, Okay, we know there's things happening to
- 2:22Speaker 4: the world. We've got to be attuned to what's happening
- 2:25Speaker 4: so that we can pray that we can act right,
- 2:27Speaker 4: that we have an answer for somebody who says, is
- 2:29Speaker 4: there any hope in this great, big world? Right? And
- 2:31Speaker 4: so today, above all listeners if you're needing some encouragement,
- 2:36Speaker 4: if you need a reminder that God is truly at
- 2:38Speaker 4: work in his world through his word. Let today be
- 2:42Speaker 4: an encouragement to you today. Okay, And so we're here
- 2:44Speaker 4: today again to make much of God, to remind you
- 2:49Speaker 4: that you can be a part of what He's doing
- 2:51Speaker 4: in his world again through his word. We'll let you
- 2:53Speaker 4: know all that information. But again all that to say
- 2:55Speaker 4: how much we appreciate Kevin McCullum and this listening family
- 2:58Speaker 4: that has given so sacrificially over the years to be
- 3:01Speaker 4: able to see these I call them Kingdom transactions take place.
- 3:05Speaker 4: But we've got this audio clip as we come into
- 3:07Speaker 4: today's program from a pastor by the name of Anderson Andy.
- 3:10Speaker 4: He's on the continent of Africa. This is the part
- 3:12Speaker 4: of the world where Christianity is growing in the greatest
- 3:15Speaker 4: numbers in the world. And he has this to say
- 3:17Speaker 4: about the need for Bibles in that part of the world.
- 3:20Speaker 7: Actually, the need is great. If you could remember the
- 3:23Speaker 7: other picture of a lady who was trying to show
- 3:25Speaker 7: me the Bible that Pastor Anderthon Diwaco is Bible, but
- 3:29Speaker 7: we don't have Bibles here. So that lad had a
- 3:32Speaker 7: Bible from Egxodus to the Book of Hebrews.
- 3:35Speaker 8: That's all.
- 3:38Speaker 7: You see that, So that is a great need of bibles.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:41Speaker 4: The pastor's name is Anderson. I love the chuckle there
- 3:43Speaker 4: at the end, right, And he's one of these pastors
- 3:45Speaker 4: that'll walk through a village, you know, they'll tug on
- 3:47Speaker 4: his shirts to leave, asking hey, is my Bible coming today?
- 3:51Speaker 4: Past and Anderson's that's how desperate Christians are, right, you know,
- 3:55Speaker 4: I think about two Timothy three, sixteen and seventeen says
- 3:59Speaker 4: all scripts sure inspired of God is profitable to teach,
- 4:03Speaker 4: to reprove, to correct, to instruct in righteousness. And what
- 4:06Speaker 4: Anderson is toliness is there are Christians that go without
- 4:09Speaker 4: a Bible. I mean that ought to be unthinkable in
- 4:11Speaker 4: our minds, but aty, my goodness, in this big, crazy world,
- 4:14Speaker 4: a Christian has to have a Bible to grow in grace,
- 4:17Speaker 4: to learn God's will for his life, and to be
- 4:19Speaker 4: reminded that God knows him or her intimately. Amen.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah, amen, Yeah, you know it's we in the US
- 4:26Speaker 2: have many copies of God's words sitting on our shelves,
- 4:29Speaker 2: and you know we often forget because where we read scripture.
- 4:33Speaker 2: It's we're used to it, but it's it's God's word
- 4:36Speaker 2: to people. It's God's word to men and women. And
- 4:40Speaker 2: like you said Bible verses, it's a lot of people
- 4:43Speaker 2: are asking more than anything for God's word, above anything else.
- 4:46Speaker 2: And they say Psul nineteen. You know, it's more precious
- 4:50Speaker 2: than gold, sweeter than honey. By them, your servant is
- 4:53Speaker 2: worn and keeping them there's great reward. And how how
- 4:57Speaker 2: do people live into the Christian life without God's word?
- 5:00Speaker 2: That's hard.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Yeah, if you love your Bible, if God has used
- 5:03Speaker 4: as word to grow you, you know, utter up a
- 5:05Speaker 4: you know, a hearty amen right now, But you know,
- 5:07Speaker 4: keep listening. We want to give you a glimpse to
- 5:10Speaker 4: what is happening around the world. Andy, I'll begin in
- 5:12Speaker 4: the country of Madagascar, just off the southeast corner of
- 5:16Speaker 4: that great big con to tell you the story of Lally,
- 5:18Speaker 4: the village witch doctor. By way of an update. I've
- 5:21Speaker 4: shared this before, but let me give you an update.
- 5:23Speaker 4: What was her story? Lived steeped in spiritual darkness for decades, right,
- 5:27Speaker 4: she was the village witch doctor, all about the voodoo,
- 5:29Speaker 4: black magic, shamanism, all of that spiritual darkness. Right, And
- 5:34Speaker 4: one day at Christian in her small village, somebody that
- 5:36Speaker 4: had come to saving faith through the ministry of Bible
- 5:39Speaker 4: leagues said, look, come learn about Jesus.
- 5:41Speaker 3: Right.
- 5:41Speaker 4: Would gather Lally with about twenty others taken her week
- 5:44Speaker 4: by week through Project Philip. We'll talk more about that
- 5:47Speaker 4: in a moment. But Lali went not because she chairsh
- 5:50Speaker 4: Christiana and she thought, okay, one more thing for my
- 5:52Speaker 4: tool belt of witchcraft.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Right.
- 5:54Speaker 4: But she went to this study in her Malagasy language,
- 5:57Speaker 4: and you know, long story short, she became I'm a believer.
- 6:00Speaker 4: We gave her a Bible in the Malagassy language, her
- 6:03Speaker 4: native language. We made a big deal about that. There
- 6:06Speaker 4: was a graduation ceremony. We do that, you know, we
- 6:09Speaker 4: make a big deal Andy, because it is a big
- 6:11Speaker 4: deal when the former village witch doctor says yes to Jesus. Right,
- 6:15Speaker 4: we make a big deal about it. And so we
- 6:17Speaker 4: gave her that Bible and Andy Sheep would read it
- 6:20Speaker 4: every single day. She went to Luke nineteen the texts
- 6:23Speaker 4: where Jesus comes into Jericho, he encounters Zachius. Remember the
- 6:26Speaker 4: wee little man who climbed up in the sycamore tree
- 6:29Speaker 4: because the Lord he wanted to see right when she
- 6:31Speaker 4: came to that verse, and the scripture says, what when
- 6:34Speaker 4: Zachius comes to saving faith, he says to Jesus, I'm
- 6:37Speaker 4: giving away half of what I own to the poor,
- 6:39Speaker 4: and I'm going to make things right with those And
- 6:41Speaker 4: I've deceived as a tax collector.
- 6:43Speaker 9: Right.
- 6:43Speaker 4: This man was hated in his culture because again he
- 6:45Speaker 4: took from his Jewish counterparts sent all that money to Rome.
- 6:49Speaker 9: Right.
- 6:49Speaker 4: And so when she read that, she knew what she
- 6:51Speaker 4: had to do. She went to literally dozens of families
- 6:53Speaker 4: that she had misled over the years through witchcraft, would
- 6:56Speaker 4: unfold for them the Gospel the same way it was
- 6:58Speaker 4: unfolded to her through project Philip Right, the evangelist and
- 7:02Speaker 4: Axad who leads the Ethiopian Eunich to faith in Christ.
- 7:06Speaker 4: In the spirit of that Phillip, we helped create Phillips
- 7:08Speaker 4: all over the world. There was a Phillip that invited
- 7:10Speaker 4: Lally to come hear about Jesus.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Right.
- 7:13Speaker 4: And then Lally, as a new believer, has gone on
- 7:16Speaker 4: any this by the grace of God, of course right
- 7:18Speaker 4: and through the gums she of Lally Right, who had
- 7:20Speaker 4: a mission. Once she read that scripture was to what
- 7:24Speaker 4: She's led two hundred people to Christ. Two hundred families,
- 7:27Speaker 4: twenty one hundred adults and children have said yes to
- 7:29Speaker 4: Jesus right, and those families have gone on by way
- 7:32Speaker 4: of an update, to see another two hundred families come
- 7:35Speaker 4: to Christ. In other words, they didn't waste much time.
- 7:37Speaker 4: They realize what Jesus is not to be kept to oneself.
- 7:41Speaker 4: He is to be He's to be shared with others.
- 7:44Speaker 4: And so any of these are people that don't live
- 7:46Speaker 4: near a Christian bookstore. There's no Target or Walmart, you know,
- 7:50Speaker 4: to sell them a Bible, right, there's no Amazon dot
- 7:53Speaker 4: Com to drop a box of Bibles into their village.
- 7:56Speaker 4: But they're part of a thriving church deep in the
- 7:59Speaker 4: rainforest of Madagascar, Africa. And all this by the grace
- 8:02Speaker 4: of God and through the gum shit of Fat Walley,
- 8:05Speaker 4: the village witch doctor. But again, any Project Philip, again
- 8:09Speaker 4: putting a face on this, that Philip in Acts eight,
- 8:12Speaker 4: who leads the Ethiopian to Christ writer, who then takes
- 8:15Speaker 4: the gospel back to Africa, the country we're talking the
- 8:19Speaker 4: content we're talking about. Talk about Project Philip. How important
- 8:22Speaker 4: that is in the context of our global ministry.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Absolutely, we believe in discipleship.
- 8:28Speaker 2: You know, Jesus last the great commission, you know, go
- 8:31Speaker 2: and make disciples, baptize them in the name of the
- 8:34Speaker 2: Father's Son, the Holy Ghost, and teach them to obey
- 8:37Speaker 2: everything I've commanded you. And you know that's where we
- 8:40Speaker 2: walk through. We don't just drop a box of Bibles
- 8:42Speaker 2: in people's laps and say good luck. You know, we
- 8:45Speaker 2: believe in teaching, We believe in discipleship. All these things
- 8:48Speaker 2: are incredibly important. And through Project Philip, somebody studies the Bible,
- 8:53Speaker 2: understands the Bible oftentimes comes to saving faith and we
- 8:59Speaker 2: see that apply. Like you just got done saying.
- 9:01Speaker 4: Yeah, So if that story doesn't get you excited, would
- 9:04Speaker 4: you pinch yourself make sure you're still living here? That Andy.
- 9:07Speaker 4: It's why we're here today to give glory to God
- 9:09Speaker 4: for his work in his world through his word, but
- 9:12Speaker 4: to invite this listening family to be a part of it.
- 9:14Speaker 4: There's two hundred families that need Bibles in the Malacassey
- 9:18Speaker 4: language and two ways to get involved today. For the
- 9:20Speaker 4: princely sum of only five dollars a Bible, it's eight
- 9:23Speaker 4: hundred Yes, word that's eight hundred. Yes, word work with
- 9:27Speaker 4: the Bible League banner. You can find that at that
- 9:29Speaker 4: kevinshow dot com. Hey, Michael Woolworth, Andy Earnshaw, Bible League International.
- 9:34Speaker 4: We're guest hosting for that Kevin Show and we'll be
- 9:37Speaker 4: back in a few moments. Here he is from New York,
- 10:11Speaker 4: that Kevin. Kevin McCollough. Well, Kevin has much deserved a
- 10:18Speaker 4: week off. He's turned the bike over to as I say,
- 10:21Speaker 4: a couple of amateurs. I'll put myself in that category,
- 10:23Speaker 4: and you're a professional Michael Woolworth, Andy Earnshaw with a
- 10:28Speaker 4: Bible leg You know, we've this station, this show has
- 10:32Speaker 4: been a longtime partner of ours, you know, Bible League,
- 10:35Speaker 4: by the grace of God. Every day, every day, Andy,
- 10:37Speaker 4: we reach about six thousand people gospel across this great,
- 10:41Speaker 4: big world, right, administering in about one fourth of the
- 10:43Speaker 4: world's countries. You know, about five hundred people are trained
- 10:47Speaker 4: every day, just like that Christian that invited a lally
- 10:50Speaker 4: to that Bible study, Right, five hundred people trained every
- 10:53Speaker 4: day to share the love of Christ, to explain the
- 10:56Speaker 4: hope that's within them.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:58Speaker 4: And then we estimated about every three and a half hours,
- 11:00Speaker 4: a church is planted somewhere in the world with the
- 11:03Speaker 4: help of Bible League, right, and so again we could
- 11:06Speaker 4: not do this without, of course, the grace of God
- 11:08Speaker 4: leading this ministry and without listening families like this one
- 11:11Speaker 4: that catches a glimpse of what God is doing and says,
- 11:13Speaker 4: you know what, I've got to be a part of that.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Let me be a part of that. And you've got
- 11:17Speaker 4: some folks that have said yes, yeah.
- 11:20Speaker 2: Richard in Somerset, New Jersey, gave six bibles, Debbie and Dunellen,
- 11:25Speaker 2: New Jersey, ten bibles. Paul Breezy Point, New York gave
- 11:29Speaker 2: twenty bibles to people that have been praying for a Bible,
- 11:32Speaker 2: sometimes even for years.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Thank you. Well, let me add to that, Rebecca of
- 11:38Speaker 4: New York City who said, I'm in at ten bibles.
- 11:40Speaker 4: David and New Jersey said, Michael Andy Colby in at
- 11:43Speaker 4: twenty bibles. And then Robert of Thornworoth, New York said,
- 11:47Speaker 4: I want to be a part of this. He made
- 11:48Speaker 4: a three hundred dollars gift in this campaign to take
- 11:51Speaker 4: care of sixty waiting believers. And that's how it happens. Andy,
- 11:54Speaker 4: It's that simple it's a two minute transaction. By phone.
- 11:58Speaker 4: You can dial eight hundred yes word eight hundred yes word.
- 12:02Speaker 4: That's eight hundred y E S W O R D,
- 12:06Speaker 4: or just click the Bible banner. You can find that
- 12:08Speaker 4: at that kevinshow dot com. It's that kevinshow dot com.
- 12:13Speaker 4: But again, Andy, today it's all about what making much
- 12:16Speaker 4: of God, being reminded that He is at work in
- 12:19Speaker 4: his world. You know, I think about scriptures like First
- 12:22Speaker 4: Peter two, like newborn babes, you must crave pure spiritual milk, right,
- 12:27Speaker 4: so that you'll grow into maturing Believers cry out for
- 12:30Speaker 4: this nourishment, John says in his letter, Right, Andy, they're
- 12:33Speaker 4: crying out for you know, for this word if you will,
- 12:37Speaker 4: And then the question is, you know, how will we respond?
- 12:40Speaker 4: But I want to just take listeners to the Middle East. Andy,
- 12:44Speaker 4: You and I don't come today's you know, experts in
- 12:46Speaker 4: geopolitical activities, right, I mean that part of the world
- 12:50Speaker 4: for millennia has known what it's conflict, it's pain, it's suffering,
- 12:53Speaker 4: it's lost. Right, we don't come with the answers to
- 12:55Speaker 4: all of those complexities. But you know, as we see
- 12:58Speaker 4: the hope of the Gospel apply to lives. There we see,
- 13:01Speaker 4: you know, people truly transform for the Gospel. And a
- 13:04Speaker 4: part of the world where you know, evangelical Christians often
- 13:07Speaker 4: make up about two percent of the population. Of course,
- 13:09Speaker 4: a lot of people here are Shia or Sunny Muslims.
- 13:13Speaker 4: Some of those are Marxists. But again clearly they are
- 13:16Speaker 4: outnumbered in that sense. But I can tell you that
- 13:18Speaker 4: does not keep people like Aria from speaking about the
- 13:23Speaker 4: hope that's within her. You know, I was in that
- 13:25Speaker 4: part of the world. It wasn't too long ago. I
- 13:27Speaker 4: met Aria nineteen years of age, she said, Michael. I
- 13:31Speaker 4: was a devout Muslim. She said, I read my Koran
- 13:33Speaker 4: every day, I said my prayers five times a day, right,
- 13:37Speaker 4: But when none of that brought peace, she accepted the
- 13:40Speaker 4: invitation of a Christian friend who stayed involved in Aria's
- 13:43Speaker 4: life and invited her to this Bible study. In this case,
- 13:46Speaker 4: it was with about fifteen other Arabic speakers in that
- 13:49Speaker 4: part of the world. I want identified exactly where they're at.
- 13:52Speaker 4: But she went week after week, and you know what
- 13:55Speaker 4: broke her. She said, in my religion, Allah only demanded
- 14:00Speaker 4: and when I looked at the precious Gospel, I saw
- 14:02Speaker 4: Jesus laying down his life for his own, and she
- 14:05Speaker 4: said that broke me. Long story short, she became a believer.
- 14:08Speaker 4: She took her little Bible study booklet home. That project
- 14:11Speaker 4: Philip in the Arabic language hit it because she still
- 14:14Speaker 4: lived with her mother and father. Her father was a
- 14:16Speaker 4: mala in that community, very high standing in that Islamic community.
- 14:20Speaker 4: I can tell you when the mother rummaged in the room,
- 14:23Speaker 4: found that booklet, gave it to the father, who did
- 14:26Speaker 4: not share in her newfound faith. Right, he actually beat
- 14:29Speaker 4: her nearly to death. I know that's somewhat graphic. It
- 14:32Speaker 4: didn't end there. He called the authorities to report her
- 14:35Speaker 4: as an infidel. They took her to a remote cell
- 14:38Speaker 4: where they beat her. They violated her, tortured her, even
- 14:42Speaker 4: pulled fingernails out of either hand, right, I mean, kept
- 14:45Speaker 4: her for a couple of weeks, didn't give her much food, water,
- 14:47Speaker 4: no outside communication. But then, Andy, I'd like to say,
- 14:51Speaker 4: they made a huge mistake. They unleashed a woman on
- 14:54Speaker 4: fire for Jesus on that Middle Eastern world, and she
- 14:58Speaker 4: in about a handful of from our small evangelical church
- 15:01Speaker 4: in that part of the world have seen what three
- 15:04Speaker 4: hundred people come to Christ. Three hundred people, most of
- 15:06Speaker 4: these Sunni former Sunni Muslims, saying yes to Jesus. And
- 15:10Speaker 4: let me say this, I'm not saying at all if
- 15:11Speaker 4: you follow Sunni Islam that you're a radicalized Muslim. That
- 15:15Speaker 4: would be unfair, It would be untrue. Andy, We're not
- 15:17Speaker 4: saying that, but that certainly was the case in this story.
- 15:20Speaker 4: But people like Young Aria would tell us, don't pray
- 15:24Speaker 4: for an end to our suffering. We know that God
- 15:26Speaker 4: is working through it.
- 15:27Speaker 10: Right.
- 15:27Speaker 4: She says things like, pray that we'll obey God in
- 15:30Speaker 4: every circumstance. We will see others around us who hate
- 15:36Speaker 4: us because we bear the name of Jesus, not as
- 15:38Speaker 4: the enemy. We'll see them not as the enemy, but
- 15:40Speaker 4: as the mission field. And she was quick to say
- 15:42Speaker 4: that believers here need Bibles to be reminded that God
- 15:46Speaker 4: knows them mentally. Our colleague Nirvana in that part of
- 15:49Speaker 4: the world had this very profound thing to say about
- 15:52Speaker 4: women who often are looked at as second class citizens
- 15:54Speaker 4: in that culture. But when they come to saving faith, Andy,
- 15:58Speaker 4: and they see the infinite worth they have Jesus. Oh,
- 16:01Speaker 4: it makes an incredible difference. This is Nirvana.
- 16:03Speaker 11: In the Middle East, men think women are to marry
- 16:08Speaker 11: a young age and they are not supposed to get
- 16:11Speaker 11: educated or even to be treated the same level as men.
- 16:15Speaker 4: When I see the ladies.
- 16:17Speaker 11: That are very happy that they can read the world
- 16:20Speaker 11: of Jesus and write the name of Jesus for the
- 16:23Speaker 11: first time, I saw lives of women changed after they
- 16:29Speaker 11: started to read and write, and how they regained their
- 16:33Speaker 11: confidence in themselves, and how they could feel that they
- 16:38Speaker 11: now have value and they can function in the society.
- 16:43Speaker 11: As you said, how they can feel that they are
- 16:46Speaker 11: valuable in God's eyes.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Yeah, any that's our colleague, Nirvana. They're in the Middle East,
- 16:52Speaker 4: not far from the Israeli a Moss conflict. Right, And
- 16:56Speaker 4: what does she say? And again, we don't come today
- 16:58Speaker 4: as geopolitical science understand all this stuff, right, all the
- 17:02Speaker 4: things that happened in that part of the world. But again,
- 17:04Speaker 4: as we see the hope of the Gospel applied, we
- 17:06Speaker 4: see lives totally transformed. Andy in the life of somebody
- 17:10Speaker 4: like Aria, the young lady I just described, how important
- 17:13Speaker 4: is it to have a Bible as you come to
- 17:15Speaker 4: saving faith and you face fierce opposition to the Gospel.
- 17:19Speaker 4: How important is that Bible and your walk with the Lord? Yeah,
- 17:24Speaker 4: oh boy.
- 17:25Speaker 2: You know, if you look at the letters of Paul,
- 17:27Speaker 2: you'll see over and over again the persecution that he
- 17:30Speaker 2: went through. In Romans fifteen, verse fourty says everything was
- 17:33Speaker 2: written in the past was written to teach us so
- 17:36Speaker 2: that through endurance taught in the scriptures and the encouragement
- 17:40Speaker 2: they provide, we might have hope. And that's what scripture does.
- 17:44Speaker 2: It brings hope. It brings all that we need for godliness,
- 17:47Speaker 2: for living this life. And like you said, some of
- 17:50Speaker 2: the areas that we're working in, they're the hardest to
- 17:53Speaker 2: get in areas. We try to identify those areas so
- 17:56Speaker 2: we can try to make a difference in those areas.
- 17:59Speaker 2: And they're tough terrains. People need scripture.
- 18:03Speaker 4: Yeah, you need scripture. And you know that's why we're
- 18:06Speaker 4: here today. I mean, that's kind of the secondary purpose
- 18:09Speaker 4: of being here today is to invite you into this work.
- 18:11Speaker 4: You know, Andy, I don't have to pressure this listening family.
- 18:14Speaker 4: They have given so sacrificially over the years as I
- 18:18Speaker 4: traveled the world. We have friends that fund those trips.
- 18:20Speaker 4: You know, I've seen people sing, they've danced, they have cried,
- 18:25Speaker 4: right when we've given them a Bible. And I remember
- 18:27Speaker 4: one gal that you know, we gave her a Bible.
- 18:30Speaker 4: She didn't say anything, Andy, she just stood there let
- 18:33Speaker 4: out a sigh of relief that she finally had a Bible.
- 18:35Speaker 4: She'd been a believer for two years, right, and she
- 18:38Speaker 4: just clutched that Bible that would tell her about the
- 18:40Speaker 4: God who loves her. And I thought, you know, I
- 18:42Speaker 4: wish I could truck everybody listening right now over to
- 18:45Speaker 4: a place that was the continent of Africa, right, and
- 18:48Speaker 4: just to be in that moment when when you hear
- 18:51Speaker 4: somebody read for the first time that very first scripture, right.
- 18:54Speaker 4: And so anyway, that's the joy that we get in
- 18:58Speaker 4: serving with the ministry of Bibly and what people like
- 19:01Speaker 4: Ari are doing on the ground there. Andy, what we're
- 19:04Speaker 4: asking this listening family to do is no less important,
- 19:07Speaker 4: you know, to make a gift of five dollars to
- 19:10Speaker 4: put a Bible into the hands of these waiting believers, right,
- 19:14Speaker 4: five dollars sins of Bible. Listen, a couple ways to
- 19:16Speaker 4: get involved today again at five dollars a Bible, maybe
- 19:19Speaker 4: you'd like to bless a dozen waiting believers today. That's
- 19:22Speaker 4: sixty dollars. One hundred and fifty dollars today would take
- 19:25Speaker 4: care of thirty waiting believers. Several of you have given
- 19:28Speaker 4: at the five hundred dollars level, right, that's one hundred
- 19:31Speaker 4: waiting believers today who will have their prayers answered for
- 19:34Speaker 4: God's precious word. And again, two ways to get involved
- 19:37Speaker 4: the number eight hundred yes word eight hundred yes word.
- 19:41Speaker 4: That's eight hundred yees w r D eight hundred nine
- 19:45Speaker 4: three seven nine six seven three, or just find the
- 19:48Speaker 4: Bible League banner. It's at that kevinshow dot com. That
- 19:52Speaker 4: kevinshow dot com. But Andy, as we as we go
- 19:56Speaker 4: to break here, just take twenty seconds. You've seen people
- 19:59Speaker 4: rece a Bible. Talk about the reaction you that you've witnessed.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Oh man, like you said, you know, tears of joy.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Uh, you know we saw somebody five years he was
- 20:10Speaker 2: waiting on a Bible and just the dancing, the joy,
- 20:13Speaker 2: the tears that go along with it because it's God's
- 20:16Speaker 2: word to them and that's how they see it. They
- 20:18Speaker 2: see it as God speaking to them.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, be a part of this experience. The joy
- 20:23Speaker 4: of putting a Bible into the hands and hearts of
- 20:25Speaker 4: a waiting believer today, even half a world away in
- 20:27Speaker 4: the places like the Middle East, are right again. Two
- 20:30Speaker 4: ways to get involved, It's eight hundred yes word or
- 20:34Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner at that kevinshow dot Com.
- 20:37Speaker 4: Michael Woolworth, Andy Earnshaw Bible League. We are delighted to
- 20:40Speaker 4: be here and we'll be back in just a few moments.
- 20:48Speaker 12: Let's stick around for more of that. Kevin next here
- 21:09Speaker 12: he is from New York, That Kevin, Kevin McCollough.
- 21:17Speaker 4: Well, Kevin and joined some much needed, much needed time
- 21:21Speaker 4: away from the microphone. But you know, I appreciate this
- 21:23Speaker 4: brother and the Lord who has an incredible sense of
- 21:27Speaker 4: enthusiasm and burden to share in our mission. Andy, he
- 21:31Speaker 4: has without any reservation, urged his listeners to be a
- 21:34Speaker 4: part of what God is doing through the ministry of Bible.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I've always told Kevin my regret whenever I'm on the
- 21:40Speaker 4: air every spring, every summer, right is that we don't
- 21:44Speaker 4: have the actual math. But I know it's more than
- 21:46Speaker 4: half a million beliefs that have now have you know,
- 21:49Speaker 4: really had no hope of a Bible now have God's word.
- 21:51Speaker 4: They're using those Bibles to make much of him and
- 21:54Speaker 4: to point others to the hope of the Gospel. And
- 21:56Speaker 4: I know it's tempting to say, Okay, in this great,
- 21:57Speaker 4: big world, what does my five dollars bible, you know,
- 22:01Speaker 4: investment really make any Is it really making a difference
- 22:04Speaker 4: in this world?
- 22:05Speaker 3: Right?
- 22:06Speaker 4: And so many of the stories we've just shared in
- 22:08Speaker 4: the Life of Aria, in the life of Lally, the
- 22:11Speaker 4: former village witch doctor Andy began with just a Bible.
- 22:14Speaker 4: Somebody able to explain what's in that Bible?
- 22:16Speaker 10: Right?
- 22:16Speaker 4: And then, as I love to say, a gracious God
- 22:18Speaker 4: willing to bring people from the groups of spiritual darkness.
- 22:21Speaker 4: But this listening family they get this. And Andy, you've got
- 22:23Speaker 4: some folks that have said count us in.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 22:26Speaker 2: John and Eastman in New York five bibles. He gave
- 22:29Speaker 2: Mary and the Bronx ten bibles. Walter and Hawthorne, New
- 22:33Speaker 2: Jersey made a gift of twenty bibles to people that
- 22:36Speaker 2: have been praying for one maybe for years.
- 22:38Speaker 4: And let me thank those of you. At thank the
- 22:41Speaker 4: last segment, Richard of a Somerset, New Jersey said, I'm
- 22:44Speaker 4: in at six bibles or Debbie have Dunellen, New Jersey
- 22:47Speaker 4: said Michael Andy, I'm in at ten bibles, and then
- 22:49Speaker 4: Paul of Breezy Point, New York said, count me in
- 22:52Speaker 4: a one hundred dollars tax deductible gift for twenty Bibles.
- 22:55Speaker 4: And that's how it's done. It's call by call, it's
- 22:58Speaker 4: click by click again, Andy, this is a listening family
- 23:01Speaker 4: that I know says to themselves, you know I love
- 23:04Speaker 4: my Bible. God has truly used his word to grow me.
- 23:07Speaker 4: I simply want to give that privilege to waiting believers today.
- 23:11Speaker 4: I do want to take us to the country of India.
- 23:14Speaker 4: This is another part of the world where it's challenging
- 23:17Speaker 4: to live on your faith.
- 23:18Speaker 8: Andy.
- 23:19Speaker 4: The bottom line is the church is growing in a
- 23:21Speaker 4: place where faith is forbidden. Right the powers that be.
- 23:25Speaker 4: The Prime Minister Modi is part of a political party
- 23:29Speaker 4: that has essentially said there's no room for Christianity within
- 23:31Speaker 4: the walls of India.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Right.
- 23:32Speaker 4: India, by the way, the most populated country in the world.
- 23:35Speaker 4: One point five billion people call India home. China held
- 23:39Speaker 4: that spot for a number of years. Right because of
- 23:41Speaker 4: all their restricted policies on family size, India has now
- 23:44Speaker 4: jumped into the number one spot. This is the land
- 23:47Speaker 4: of Gandhi right, long gone are the days when Gandhi
- 23:50Speaker 4: promoted a non violent Hindu as today, if Hindu doesn't
- 23:55Speaker 4: believe what a Christian does or is offended by what
- 23:58Speaker 4: they do, I mean they will all these believers. I
- 24:01Speaker 4: don't exaggerate that truth. In twenty six States, there's anti
- 24:05Speaker 4: conversion laws. If you simply tell somebody what Jesus means
- 24:09Speaker 4: to you, they can take that the wrong way, reports
- 24:11Speaker 4: you to the authorities, have you thrown in jail. Right,
- 24:14Speaker 4: I mean, this is what Christians are up against in
- 24:16Speaker 4: that part of the world. But it does not keep
- 24:18Speaker 4: people like Shanty Varden from sharing the good news of
- 24:23Speaker 4: the Gospel. But before we go to that story, I
- 24:25Speaker 4: want you to hear from Sabiesh, our colleague there in
- 24:28Speaker 4: the country of India. Sabiesh talks about again these anti
- 24:32Speaker 4: conversion laws, how the Gospel is fiercely opposed in that country,
- 24:36Speaker 4: but also how the church is growing in the country
- 24:39Speaker 4: of India. This is our colleague, Sabiesh.
- 24:41Speaker 8: One of our church plannder. He told me like this
- 24:45Speaker 8: in his village, you will see the sign boats Christian missionaries.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Have prohibited in the village.
- 24:49Speaker 8: If anyone stries to do it they will attack them mercilessly.
- 24:53Speaker 8: And I believe the reason behind all this is the
- 24:57Speaker 8: growth of the church. People are responding to the gospel
- 25:01Speaker 8: and are joining the church. Church is growing in India,
- 25:05Speaker 8: farmers of the severe persecutions, and.
- 25:09Speaker 4: Then amazing, I mean, in the midst of all the opposition,
- 25:11Speaker 4: the church is growing. This is one of those places again,
- 25:14Speaker 4: you know, we look at church growth here in America,
- 25:16Speaker 4: someone on the decline, stunted. You know, even after COVID restrictions,
- 25:20Speaker 4: a lot of churches are still pleading with their people
- 25:22Speaker 4: come back to church. But in place like India, it's
- 25:25Speaker 4: growing in amazing ways. Subiche says, there's fierce opposition. But
- 25:29Speaker 4: one of those who shares the gospel with gladness is
- 25:32Speaker 4: a man by the name of Shanti Varden. Born blind,
- 25:35Speaker 4: lost his father at h ten, lived in abject poverty.
- 25:38Speaker 4: If you've seen the videos, the photos of extreme poverty
- 25:43Speaker 4: in Indians never exaggerated. Really is that bad andy, But again,
- 25:47Speaker 4: Ashanti Varden, because of all this despair in which he lived,
- 25:50Speaker 4: wanted to end his life. He wanted to end his life,
- 25:53Speaker 4: but his godly mother prayed for his salvation. When he
- 25:56Speaker 4: became a believer, Bible League providing an audio Bible and
- 25:59Speaker 4: play is where there's high literacy rates. When there is
- 26:03Speaker 4: visual impairment, like in Chanti Varden's case, we're able to
- 26:05Speaker 4: provide a Bible. And he listened to the promises of God. Andy,
- 26:08Speaker 4: he cherished those and he learned very quickly again the
- 26:11Speaker 4: Gospel is not to be kept to oneself. It's to
- 26:13Speaker 4: be shared with others. And so with others in his
- 26:16Speaker 4: small evangelical church, would begin to gather people in the
- 26:19Speaker 4: Tamil language and would begin to disciple him in the faith.
- 26:23Speaker 4: And Andy, I can tell you today, by the grace
- 26:25Speaker 4: of God, there's two hundred people former Hindus who have
- 26:28Speaker 4: said yes to Jesus. And again, Bible League is able
- 26:31Speaker 4: to come alongside a church planner in that part of
- 26:34Speaker 4: the world and say, look, here's resources to grow your church.
- 26:37Speaker 4: The glory of God. Talk about how important it is
- 26:39Speaker 4: that every village everywhere has a thriving church.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, the local church is God's plan for
- 26:47Speaker 2: bringing hope. It brings truth and most importantly in some
- 26:51Speaker 2: of these areas that we're talking about encouragement. I know
- 26:55Speaker 2: I have a hard time doing life on my own
- 26:57Speaker 2: in the United States. Can you imagine the person cution
- 27:00Speaker 2: you got to go you know you're going through and
- 27:02Speaker 2: we need each other. They need each other. And a
- 27:05Speaker 2: lot of times the Gospel spreads and there's not enough churches,
- 27:08Speaker 2: and so yeah, church planner work is extremely important.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Yeah, these are fellow believers, Andy, They're not praying for
- 27:15Speaker 4: our pity today, They're not asking for protection. What are
- 27:18Speaker 4: they asking for? It's the precious word of God, right,
- 27:20Speaker 4: and so we reminded God's had work in his world
- 27:23Speaker 4: through his word. It's five dollars a Bible, two hundred believers,
- 27:26Speaker 4: fellow believers in the walls of India who have no
- 27:29Speaker 4: chance of a Bible, but enter this listening family to
- 27:32Speaker 4: That Kevin Show. Five dollars cents a Bible, eight hundred
- 27:35Speaker 4: yes word, eight hundred yes word to click the Bible
- 27:37Speaker 4: League planner at that Kevinshow dot com. That's that Kevinshow
- 27:41Speaker 4: dot com. It's Michael Woolworth Andy Earnshaw, guest host on
- 27:45Speaker 4: That Kevin Show today. We'll be back in just a moment.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Here he is from New York, That Kevin Kevin McCullough. Well,
- 28:19Speaker 4: thanks for being a part of That Kevin Show.
- 28:20Speaker 12: Today.
- 28:21Speaker 4: He's off this week well deserved and had some guest
- 28:25Speaker 4: host people. I know you're going to enjoy hearing. I
- 28:27Speaker 4: can tell you it really is a privilege for Andy
- 28:29Speaker 4: Earnshaw and I to be here from Bible League, a
- 28:32Speaker 4: ministry eighty eight years young, and he was Good Friday
- 28:35Speaker 4: nineteen thirty eight with a couple by the name of
- 28:37Speaker 4: the Chapman in the Chicago area began the ministry of
- 28:41Speaker 4: Bible League. You know, he was on his death that
- 28:43Speaker 4: he'd suffered a heart attack. Right an elder of his
- 28:45Speaker 4: church came prayed over him, said, Lord, restore the health,
- 28:49Speaker 4: and when that happens, give this couple of ministry. They
- 28:51Speaker 4: had no idea what the ministry looked like, but they
- 28:53Speaker 4: were all about health returning. And when that happened, in
- 28:55Speaker 4: the spirit of what obedience and gratitude, they said, where's
- 29:01Speaker 4: our hearts live?
- 29:02Speaker 3: Right?
- 29:03Speaker 4: And it was engaging people in the world of God,
- 29:05Speaker 4: knowing that that is the only hope that we have
- 29:07Speaker 4: in this crazy world of ours. Right. And so again
- 29:09Speaker 4: on Good Friday nineteen thirty eight in the Chicago area,
- 29:12Speaker 4: they began to knock on doors. In an era I
- 29:14Speaker 4: think when people would open their door right. Sure, two questions.
- 29:17Speaker 4: Do you have a Bible in the home? If not,
- 29:19Speaker 4: if we give you one, would you promise to read it?
- 29:22Speaker 4: Until on that premise, Bible League was born eighty eight
- 29:25Speaker 4: years ago. And again we've had this wonderful privilege of
- 29:28Speaker 4: working with this station WMCA and that Kevin Show for
- 29:33Speaker 4: about thirty years. Andy, And again, I can't help but
- 29:36Speaker 4: think of the number of believers who had no hope
- 29:39Speaker 4: of a Bible now have God's word. As I love
- 29:42Speaker 4: to say, they're making much of Him and pointing numbers
- 29:44Speaker 4: to the hope of the Gospel. But you've got wonderful
- 29:46Speaker 4: listeners that have said we want to be a part
- 29:48Speaker 4: of this today.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Florence and Kennel in New Jersey. Four Bibles. Barbara Brooklyn,
- 29:54Speaker 2: she gave thirteen bibles. Ruth and the Bronx stepped up.
- 29:58Speaker 2: She made a five hundre dollar gift that provides one
- 30:01Speaker 2: hundred Bibles to people that have been praying for people
- 30:05Speaker 2: that have been asking crying out for one. It's incredible.
- 30:07Speaker 4: Well, let me throw in thanks to John of East Meadow,
- 30:10Speaker 4: New York said, I'm in at five bibles marrying of
- 30:12Speaker 4: the Bronx that I want to be a part of
- 30:14Speaker 4: this at ten Bibles. Walter of Hawthorne, New Jersey. A
- 30:18Speaker 4: twenty bible gift today, that's a one hundred dollars tax
- 30:21Speaker 4: deductible gift. You know, pray about this this, you know,
- 30:24Speaker 4: Kevin and I, Andy and I today have been suggesting
- 30:27Speaker 4: gift levels. I know Kevin suggests that gift level of
- 30:30Speaker 4: one hundred and fifty dollars for thirty Bibles. That'll put
- 30:33Speaker 4: bibles into the empty waiting hands of thirty believers that
- 30:35Speaker 4: we know by name at Bible League. But again, you
- 30:38Speaker 4: pray about it. You know, ultimately we want to do
- 30:40Speaker 4: this for ten thousand waiting believers that we know by
- 30:43Speaker 4: name at Bible League. And again two ways to get
- 30:44Speaker 4: involved today for the princely sum of only five dollars
- 30:48Speaker 4: a Bible and that's eight hundred yes word, eight hundred
- 30:51Speaker 4: yes word, eight hundred yes word or click the Bible
- 30:54Speaker 4: League banner. You can find that at that Kevinshow dot com.
- 30:58Speaker 4: That's that Kevin Show dot com. And again, Andy, it's
- 31:02Speaker 4: great to have you with me today. I know you're
- 31:04Speaker 4: fresh off of vacation. It's like, okay, let's hop on here,
- 31:08Speaker 4: right to inspire some people. You know, I think about
- 31:11Speaker 4: Jesus saying in this is a John Ford. He said,
- 31:14Speaker 4: you know, if I be lifted up, I'll draw the
- 31:16Speaker 4: nations to myself. Right. And that's what you and I
- 31:19Speaker 4: get to see every day that we step foot into
- 31:23Speaker 4: our roles here at Bible League, and you know, we
- 31:26Speaker 4: get to work in some places that's known a lot
- 31:29Speaker 4: of pain and suffering. That's definitely true in the country
- 31:32Speaker 4: of Rwanda, Africa. It's the thirty second anniversary of the
- 31:36Speaker 4: Hutu Tutsi conflict that happened there about a million people
- 31:40Speaker 4: died in the course of one hundred days. Right. But
- 31:42Speaker 4: our colleague Anton left his native Netherlands went into this country,
- 31:48Speaker 4: he said, Michael, and he said there's memorial set up everywhere.
- 31:52Speaker 4: People thirty two years later are still mourning the loss
- 31:55Speaker 4: of loved ones slaughtered in that terrible, terrible conflict. He said,
- 32:00Speaker 4: I met one of these women, woman by the name
- 32:02Speaker 4: of Dally. Her story was she lost her dear husband
- 32:05Speaker 4: or dear son, about thirty extended family members in the
- 32:08Speaker 4: slaughter that happened again over the course of one hundred years.
- 32:11Speaker 4: But Anton again has this audio clip and listen to
- 32:15Speaker 4: this at the end, and I'm going to come back
- 32:17Speaker 4: and ask you how important the you know, having a
- 32:19Speaker 4: Bible is when you go through terrible, terrible hardship. But again,
- 32:25Speaker 4: this is our colleague Anton. He is in the country
- 32:27Speaker 4: of Rawanda, tesk him.
- 32:29Speaker 13: It's about the lots of people in those horrible times,
- 32:32Speaker 13: ranged from five hundred thousand to one million over the
- 32:35Speaker 13: course of just a couple of days. But yet people
- 32:37Speaker 13: like Dali have seen it with their own eyes. Her
- 32:40Speaker 13: husband and one of her sons were killed, and she
- 32:42Speaker 13: just couldn't forgive those who killed her loved ones. True
- 32:45Speaker 13: forgiveness only came when she learned about Christ's work at
- 32:48Speaker 13: the Cross, about which she was reading in her Bible.
- 32:51Speaker 13: So she recalled that Jesus asked his father to forgive
- 32:54Speaker 13: those who punished him. And because of Jesus saying those
- 32:58Speaker 13: words at the Cross, she is now a to forgive
- 33:00Speaker 13: those people.
- 33:01Speaker 4: Well, I mean, Andy, you know, Easter is a couple
- 33:05Speaker 4: of months ago, right, But how many of us, you know,
- 33:07Speaker 4: remember reading those words of Jesus. You know, Father, forgive them.
- 33:11Speaker 4: They know not what they do, you know. That's the grace,
- 33:13Speaker 4: the gumption that Dally found to be able to move
- 33:16Speaker 4: forward in life, not to move on. You never move
- 33:19Speaker 4: on from losing you know, your husband and your son
- 33:22Speaker 4: and thirty extended family members. But the hope of the
- 33:24Speaker 4: Gospel is what that God gives the grace to move forward.
- 33:28Speaker 4: In her case again, it was opening in her own
- 33:31Speaker 4: Swahili language Bible and reading the words of Jesus and
- 33:34Speaker 4: being able to be released from that bitter unforgiveness that
- 33:38Speaker 4: enveloped her life. Andy talk about again people that suffer
- 33:42Speaker 4: so much like Dally has, how important it is to
- 33:46Speaker 4: have a Bible to be able to move forward in life. Again,
- 33:49Speaker 4: that God knows you intimately, He knows your pain right
- 33:51Speaker 4: through the pain that Jesus suffered. He knows our humanity right.
- 33:54Speaker 4: But talk about how important that is.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I think of the story that you're
- 33:59Speaker 2: just talking too about, And how do you see Jesus
- 34:02Speaker 2: more clearly if you don't have scripture, How do you
- 34:05Speaker 2: understand God's heart if you don't have scripture and the
- 34:09Speaker 2: encouragement that comes from scripture, the encouragement that comes from
- 34:12Speaker 2: Jesus himself, to see a savior God who stepped into flesh,
- 34:19Speaker 2: give himself for everybody and still be able to forgive
- 34:22Speaker 2: even though he lived a perfect life. That encourages people
- 34:26Speaker 2: that are really going through some hard times.
- 34:28Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, and again Andy, theose are Christians, fellow
- 34:31Speaker 4: believers that aren't asking for our pity today or protections.
- 34:35Speaker 4: They're praying for what. It's the precious word of God.
- 34:37Speaker 4: In Dally's small village of three hundred adults, right, there's
- 34:41Speaker 4: a lot of kids in there, but a village of
- 34:42Speaker 4: three hundred adults. Would you know that ninety two of
- 34:45Speaker 4: those adults have said yes to Jesus as they have
- 34:48Speaker 4: learned her story. They've said, what if you can find
- 34:51Speaker 4: that grace and that gumption to move forward again? A
- 34:53Speaker 4: lot of these people have suffered the loss of loved
- 34:56Speaker 4: ones in that genocide. Right, it's still fresh in their
- 34:58Speaker 4: hearts thirty two years later, but they've said, look, if
- 35:00Speaker 4: you can find that grace and gumption, we want that Jesus.
- 35:04Speaker 4: So at third of that village today, Andy is following
- 35:07Speaker 4: the Lord Jesus. Right, Hey, tell me God's not at
- 35:10Speaker 4: work in his world? Okay? And again from wherever he
- 35:13Speaker 4: has you listening today, you get to be a part
- 35:15Speaker 4: of this. You know, five dollars sins of Bible today
- 35:18Speaker 4: we'll put it in the language of the receiver. For
- 35:20Speaker 4: most of these in Rwanda, it's the Swahili language. But again,
- 35:23Speaker 4: pray about it. Make a gift that's meaningful to you
- 35:25Speaker 4: and your family. The number is eight hundred yes word.
- 35:28Speaker 4: That's eight hundred yes word, eight hundred y E s
- 35:32Speaker 4: wor D eight hundred yes word. Or just click the
- 35:35Speaker 4: Bible League banner. You can find that at that Kevinshow
- 35:38Speaker 4: dot com. That's that kevinshow dot com or WNCA dot
- 35:42Speaker 4: com WNCA dot com. Hey, Michael Woolworth, Andy Earnshaw of
- 35:47Speaker 4: Bible League, we are delighted to be here on that
- 35:49Speaker 4: Kevin Show at keback the moment.
- 35:52Speaker 12: Next serving it up. It's a no dream minute. It's
- 36:07Speaker 12: that Cande show.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Baking with you today, Michael Woolworth, Andy Earnshaw, and for
- 36:16Speaker 4: the vacationing Kevin McCullough today and listen to appreciate all
- 36:19Speaker 4: of you. I know many of you year after year
- 36:22Speaker 4: you hear us come on over the course of just
- 36:24Speaker 4: a few short weeks to share what God is doing
- 36:26Speaker 4: and to invite you to be a part of this. Andy,
- 36:28Speaker 4: I think of a Psalm one nineteen where you know
- 36:31Speaker 4: the Psawmist says, cherish God's word, hide it in your heart. Ryan.
- 36:35Speaker 4: The question is how do you do that if you've
- 36:37Speaker 4: never held in your hands? And so again, call by call,
- 36:40Speaker 4: click by click. We're seeing the prayers answered of Christians
- 36:43Speaker 4: all over the world. You've got three Christians right now,
- 36:46Speaker 4: just a real short sentence of each one of these
- 36:49Speaker 4: praying for Bibles today.
- 36:50Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 36:51Speaker 2: You know, sometimes we don't realize on the other end,
- 36:53Speaker 2: there's real people here. Rohan in India, he's a he
- 36:58Speaker 2: was a former Muslim. When he came to faith, he
- 37:00Speaker 2: was beaten after a conversion. He's praying for a Bible.
- 37:02Speaker 2: He doesn't even have a Bible yet. Jawara and Uganda.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Former witch doctor praying for a Bible in the Woolf language. Luis,
- 37:12Speaker 2: he's thirty five years old in Ecuador, former crime boss.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Came to faith in prison and he's praying for a
- 37:19Speaker 2: Bible in his language.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Yeah, fellow believers praying for a Bible. You know, Andy,
- 37:23Speaker 4: you know, if I had an adult child, maybe a
- 37:25Speaker 4: former college roommate who came to Saving Faith and said, look, Michael,
- 37:29Speaker 4: I'm eager to grow as a believer. Can you get
- 37:32Speaker 4: me a Bible? You know, I would do absolutely anything
- 37:34Speaker 4: to do that, and that you know. I had a
- 37:35Speaker 4: call with John and Gail listening to the greater New
- 37:37Speaker 4: York City area, and I said, Gail White, you give?
- 37:41Speaker 4: I asked her. This is an age of inflation, you know,
- 37:43Speaker 4: gases you know, not getting cheaper it seems. But anyway,
- 37:46Speaker 4: I said, why do you give? She said, Michael had
- 37:48Speaker 4: occurred to my husband and me as we've been listening
- 37:50Speaker 4: to that Kevin show, what if we were the ones
- 37:53Speaker 4: in these stories? We pray that someone, anyone would bring
- 37:56Speaker 4: us a Bible right so that we can understand God's
- 37:58Speaker 4: will for our lives. We can grow in grace right,
- 38:02Speaker 4: and then we are equipped to share the Gospel with others.
- 38:05Speaker 4: So again I appreciated her perspective. And you've got others
- 38:09Speaker 4: just like John and Gail in this wonderful listening family
- 38:12Speaker 4: that have said count us in.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Rebecca in New York City ten bibles. David New Jersey
- 38:17Speaker 2: gave a gift of twenty bibles. Robert Over in Thornwood
- 38:21Speaker 2: gave a gift of sixty Bibles to people that have
- 38:24Speaker 2: been praying for them.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Well, let me just thank too, Florence if Kennel in
- 38:28Speaker 4: New Jersey said, I'm in at four bibles. Barbara of
- 38:30Speaker 4: Brooklyn said, Michael, Andy Colt me in for thirteen bibles today,
- 38:34Speaker 4: and then Ruth of the Bronx a five hundred dollars
- 38:37Speaker 4: investment in this campaign to take care of putting bibles
- 38:39Speaker 4: into the empty, waiting hands of one hundred believers today. Andy,
- 38:44Speaker 4: We've shared a lot of needs this hour. Again, it's
- 38:46Speaker 4: fifty bibles here, five hundred there, three hundred over here, right.
- 38:49Speaker 4: But I also want these listeners just to hear the
- 38:52Speaker 4: reaction of somebody who waited several years for her own
- 38:55Speaker 4: Bible and when it finally came. Our colleague Joseph, minister
- 39:00Speaker 4: among the Zulu tribe in South Africa, said, this was
- 39:03Speaker 4: her reaction.
- 39:06Speaker 5: We were in a place called uma Langa. The lady there,
- 39:10Speaker 5: she literally cried. She knelt down and she cried. At
- 39:15Speaker 5: the age of sixty, she never had a Bible. It
- 39:18Speaker 5: is so much fulfilling just to see people like hey
- 39:22Speaker 5: redressing and being so gracious when they received their bibles.
- 39:27Speaker 4: Yeah, Andy, our colleague Joseph in South Africa, ministering among
- 39:31Speaker 4: the Zulu tribe. He's talking about a woman who was
- 39:34Speaker 4: a former animist. When you're an animist, you believe what
- 39:36Speaker 4: their spirits and places and things you prayed to dead
- 39:39Speaker 4: relatives for protection. When she became a believer about ten
- 39:42Speaker 4: years ago, her entire family shunned her. They said, we
- 39:45Speaker 4: want nothing to do with you now that you follow
- 39:47Speaker 4: this Jesus. But today she's a believer, has been one
- 39:49Speaker 4: for about a decade.
- 39:50Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:51Speaker 4: And Joseph when he gave her that Bible, and he said,
- 39:54Speaker 4: she didn't merely say thank you. She wept for joy.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Right.
- 39:57Speaker 4: She had kind of written off that she'd ever have
- 39:59Speaker 4: a Bible. And in the case that I see all
- 40:01Speaker 4: over the world and her pastor was the only one
- 40:03Speaker 4: with the Bible. Right, But again she just wept when
- 40:07Speaker 4: she was given that Bible. And listen, that's what you're
- 40:10Speaker 4: doing today. You're putting tears of joy on the faces
- 40:12Speaker 4: and in the hearts of these waiting believers all over
- 40:15Speaker 4: the world. And again, be a part of this. We'd
- 40:17Speaker 4: love to finish up in the coming weeks having blessed
- 40:20Speaker 4: ten thousand waiting believers that we know by name at
- 40:23Speaker 4: Bible League. Two ways to get involved today at five
- 40:25Speaker 4: dollars a Bible, sixty dollars cents. Twelve one hundred and
- 40:28Speaker 4: fifty dollars will take care of thirty waiting believers. The
- 40:31Speaker 4: number is eight hundred yes word, eight hundred yes word
- 40:35Speaker 4: or get involved at that kevinshow dot com. That's that
- 40:39Speaker 4: kevinshow dot com. Well listen, thanks for listening today. We'll
- 40:42Speaker 4: take a quick break and come back at for an
- 40:44Speaker 4: hour number two to days. But it's great to have you.
- 40:46Speaker 1: Joy Somewhere in the bowels of the city that Never
- 40:53Speaker 1: sleeps Kevin McCullough radio host with Salem Medium because a
- 40:56Speaker 1: man also not sleeping.
- 41:00Speaker 3: Let's have the color and that guy would like a
- 41:03Speaker 3: word review.
- 41:04Speaker 1: Many of you know him from As Looks to Damas.
- 41:06Speaker 1: Of course, that.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Kevin Show is going to be great. The only thing
- 41:09Speaker 4: that could.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Be greater, of course, would be that Donald Show. We
- 41:11Speaker 1: don't have that. So we have That Kevin.
- 41:13Speaker 3: Show featuring the music of Dick Tunney and the Dream
- 41:17Speaker 3: in Color Orchestra, straight ahead, everything you need to know
- 41:31Speaker 3: about the top headlines of the day, and a perspective
- 41:34Speaker 3: that will give you some eternity to it. Plus practical
- 41:38Speaker 3: tips for family life, spiritual life, and good old regular life.
- 41:44Speaker 3: It's Kenna McCollough Monday through Friday on That Kevin Show
- 41:55Speaker 3: and now from the Connors in Sullivan Broadcast Studios.
- 41:59Speaker 6: The man who is not what he wants to be,
- 42:02Speaker 6: but is way grateful that is not who he used
- 42:05Speaker 6: to be here.
- 42:14Speaker 4: Well, it has an honor to be here today. Or
- 42:16Speaker 4: they figured out pretty quickly this is not Kevin mccallaugh. Right,
- 42:19Speaker 4: Kevin daway and joined so much need of time with
- 42:22Speaker 4: a family, and he's entrusted the show to a couple
- 42:26Speaker 4: of guys just off the street. Here Michael Woolworth with
- 42:29Speaker 4: the Ministry Bible League, and I'm joined by my colleague
- 42:32Speaker 4: Andy Earnshaw.
- 42:33Speaker 2: Andy, welcome, Yeah, thanks, it's good to be here.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Yeah you and you know I did did this about
- 42:37Speaker 4: a year ago and Kevin said, yeah, we'll give you
- 42:40Speaker 4: another shot.
- 42:41Speaker 2: Pretty incredible.
- 42:42Speaker 4: But Andy, this listening family has been incredibly generous over
- 42:47Speaker 4: the years, just giving sacrificially to see that. You know,
- 42:49Speaker 4: Bible is believers all over the world, Bible less.
- 42:53Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:53Speaker 4: These are people without the word of God. They named
- 42:56Speaker 4: the name of Jesus, right, They're living in places where
- 42:59Speaker 4: it's difficult to live out their faith. You know, we
- 43:01Speaker 4: talk about the underresourced church and our vernacular, if you will, right,
- 43:05Speaker 4: and what does not define the under resourced church. They
- 43:08Speaker 4: lack no love for the Lord. They lack no zeal
- 43:11Speaker 4: to see people bend the knee to the Lord Jesus, right,
- 43:13Speaker 4: and then to see thriving churches in their villages right
- 43:17Speaker 4: where people are coming to saving faith. And then as
- 43:19Speaker 4: followers of Jesus, they're replicating themselves, so to speak, right,
- 43:23Speaker 4: producing other disciples there. You know, we're going to go
- 43:26Speaker 4: to the Andes Mountains as we come into our number
- 43:28Speaker 4: two today, got this audio clip from a man by
- 43:31Speaker 4: the name of Carlo. He's one of our partners down
- 43:33Speaker 4: there again ministering in the Andes Mountains. Andy. This guy
- 43:36Speaker 4: has been beaten by warlock mail witches and fiercely opposed
- 43:40Speaker 4: the Gospel. He has been robbed of everything in his
- 43:43Speaker 4: possession more than once, right, so the little bit of
- 43:45Speaker 4: food he has, you know, the Bibles, there have been
- 43:47Speaker 4: times he's been robbed of that. He's fallen one hundred
- 43:50Speaker 4: feet in the Andes Mountains. All of this, he will
- 43:52Speaker 4: say to what to glorify God and to reach the
- 43:56Speaker 4: church that is situated deep in the Andes Mountains in
- 43:59Speaker 4: the countries of Ecuador and Peru. But he has this
- 44:02Speaker 4: audio clip talks about the desperation that Christians feel those
- 44:07Speaker 4: that he reaches there in the Andes Mountains. This is
- 44:10Speaker 4: Pastor Carlo, and itinerant pastor in Ecuador. In Peru.
- 44:14Speaker 13: Everyone wants to read the Bible.
- 44:15Speaker 14: But what happens there are a few copies here in
- 44:19Speaker 14: the area. Many of them will be sharing a single Bible.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Okay, Andy, is that guy exaggerating the truth?
- 44:28Speaker 2: Absolutely not?
- 44:28Speaker 4: People share of mind again. This guy will travel days
- 44:32Speaker 4: my foot, by boat, by mule to reach Some of
- 44:35Speaker 4: these are Spanish speakers, some of these are Keechwi speakers.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Some of these have actually learned English right as the
- 44:40Speaker 4: second language. But Andy, a guy like Carlo, this itinerant pastor,
- 44:45Speaker 4: does he exaggerate the truth again the dearth of Bibles
- 44:49Speaker 4: that are available in parts of the world. No, not
- 44:52Speaker 4: at all.
- 44:52Speaker 2: You know, we hear this from one country and African
- 44:56Speaker 2: Africa alone. One hundred million Christians are waiting for a Bible.
- 45:01Speaker 2: People that have responded to the Gospel message and said
- 45:04Speaker 2: yes and have accepted Jesus and come to Jesus. You know,
- 45:09Speaker 2: that's one hundred million in Africa alone from the Bible
- 45:11Speaker 2: Access List dot org, which is something that we put
- 45:14Speaker 2: together with other Bible agencies. But yeah, and this is everywhere.
- 45:18Speaker 2: Every pastor we talked to is looking for more Bibles.
- 45:21Speaker 2: There's more of a need for sure.
- 45:23Speaker 4: Yeah, you're talking about this Bible Access List. You know,
- 45:26Speaker 4: I wish they would have named it the Bible Less accidently.
- 45:29Speaker 4: Right again, you know, people you know ask me all
- 45:32Speaker 4: the time. You know, what are the reasons in this
- 45:34Speaker 4: age of technology why people don't have Bibles? Right? Well,
- 45:37Speaker 4: it's it's majority religions. We talked about Islam last hour,
- 45:42Speaker 4: you know, that does everything to stop the spread of
- 45:45Speaker 4: the gospel. Corrupt governments. We think about the Communist party
- 45:49Speaker 4: in China, right, the party in power in India. Right,
- 45:53Speaker 4: that says there's really no room for Christianity within the
- 45:55Speaker 4: walls of our nations. There's certainly remoteness. Some people live
- 46:00Speaker 4: where they've never looked at the face of a clock,
- 46:01Speaker 4: they've never answered a cell phone. Right, there's poverty. A
- 46:04Speaker 4: lot of times when you identify as a believer, you're
- 46:07Speaker 4: denied access to jobs and services, and so there's other
- 46:09Speaker 4: reasons built into this. But the other reason, Andy is
- 46:14Speaker 4: God's at work. We're seeing God move around the world,
- 46:18Speaker 4: spiritual awakenings where people are coming to saving faith, places
- 46:22Speaker 4: where Christians lived maybe a very nominal, quiet life, right
- 46:26Speaker 4: and said, what I've kind of lived to the glory
- 46:28Speaker 4: of God more intentionally. And so all of that contributes
- 46:31Speaker 4: to why there's this again under abundance if you will,
- 46:34Speaker 4: of Bibles. And the answer is still what it is
- 46:37Speaker 4: a printed Bible that you hold in your hands. Right,
- 46:40Speaker 4: there's pick in places where we provide an audio Bible,
- 46:42Speaker 4: flash drives where biblely can Andy, where we make downloads
- 46:47Speaker 4: available if people have access to the smartphone technology, we
- 46:50Speaker 4: provide that free of charge. And it's usually free of
- 46:55Speaker 4: charge because these churches live in extreme poverative Right. Again,
- 46:58Speaker 4: identify as a believer. You often again are tonight access
- 47:01Speaker 4: to services and jobs. But I want to go back
- 47:04Speaker 4: to Carlo there in the Andys Mountains. You know he'll
- 47:07Speaker 4: reach congregations fifty here, three hundred here, two hundred over here, right,
- 47:12Speaker 4: and one of those that he has reached belongs to
- 47:15Speaker 4: a little girl by the name of Elizabeth, ten years
- 47:17Speaker 4: of age. We've got this audio clip Andy, our colleague
- 47:21Speaker 4: Lucas collected this he said, Michael, I'm in the middle
- 47:24Speaker 4: of nowhere, right. You can hear the sheep and the
- 47:26Speaker 4: goats in the background, but he said, I'm in the
- 47:28Speaker 4: middle of nowhere, right, and yet these people have been
- 47:31Speaker 4: reached with the hope of the Gospel. Again. This is
- 47:34Speaker 4: e Lizabeth and she's in the Andys Mountains.
- 47:37Speaker 10: I am Lizabeth. I am ten years old and live
- 47:40Speaker 10: in Peru with my mom and sisters. My dad died
- 47:43Speaker 10: last year. We would like a Bible to read every
- 47:46Speaker 10: day when we wake up.
- 47:48Speaker 4: Thank you, all right, Andy, when the phones are a
- 47:50Speaker 4: little quiet, you pull out the big guns. Right, that's
- 47:53Speaker 4: in the form of it. And your old Elizabeth. Right,
- 47:55Speaker 4: This just simple plea for God's work. You know, if
- 47:58Speaker 4: you didn't get to hear the clip. Father died about
- 48:01Speaker 4: a year ago, right, had an illness, never recovered from that,
- 48:04Speaker 4: leaving her mother a widow with four young daughters. E
- 48:07Speaker 4: Lizabeth part of the Vics at ten years of age.
- 48:10Speaker 4: And she's not asking for our pity, She's simply praying
- 48:13Speaker 4: for what It's a Bible, she said. We just want
- 48:15Speaker 4: to wake up every day, begin our day reading about
- 48:18Speaker 4: the God who loves us. And again, I think about
- 48:21Speaker 4: people like Carlo, all that he's gone through, right, the beatings,
- 48:24Speaker 4: the robbings, falling and hurting himself badly, right, all of
- 48:28Speaker 4: this to the glory of God and to you know,
- 48:30Speaker 4: support people like young Elizabeth there in the Andes Mounds.
- 48:33Speaker 4: Andy talk about in this day and age, why it's
- 48:36Speaker 4: so important to have a Bible, and then why it's
- 48:39Speaker 4: so important that we have a heart for people like Lizabeth,
- 48:43Speaker 4: asking not for our pity or for our protection, but
- 48:46Speaker 4: for what the precious word of God.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, it's so often we talk to people
- 48:51Speaker 2: that have received God's word and that's how they see
- 48:54Speaker 2: it as they see it as God's speaking to them.
- 48:57Speaker 2: And we see these people, you know, just on fire
- 49:01Speaker 2: for the gospel, and they're spreading God's word, they're talking
- 49:05Speaker 2: to other people, they're sharing the gospel. Other people are
- 49:07Speaker 2: coming to faith. But then there's usually a waiting period.
- 49:11Speaker 2: A lot of these countries, like you said, Michael, you know, poverty,
- 49:14Speaker 2: lack of access, and they've become Christians, they meet Jesus,
- 49:21Speaker 2: but they still need a Bible, they still need to
- 49:23Speaker 2: grow in their faith. How can people be discipled without
- 49:28Speaker 2: having God's word in their hands? And so that's incredibly important,
- 49:32Speaker 2: and we see such joy when the Bible finally comes any.
- 49:35Speaker 4: This is everything we pray for, isn't it. I know
- 49:37Speaker 4: I don't pray like I should, but I can tell
- 49:39Speaker 4: you that on my prayer list is what that around
- 49:42Speaker 4: the world people would bow the knee to the Lord
- 49:44Speaker 4: Jesus begin not only living to his glory and honor,
- 49:47Speaker 4: but to know that joy that comes right. The Holy
- 49:50Speaker 4: Spirit brings that joy. But again, what we're saying today
- 49:54Speaker 4: and what we said on this station, on this show
- 49:56Speaker 4: for about thirty years, is one you get to be
- 49:59Speaker 4: a part of this today. You get to share in
- 50:01Speaker 4: the joy that Carlos sees in the faces and the
- 50:04Speaker 4: voices of people like young Elizabeth. And again, in the
- 50:07Speaker 4: case of many of these believers, Andy, they were former
- 50:10Speaker 4: Mayan worshippers. I mean, they worship everything except the true
- 50:14Speaker 4: and Living God. They're terribly superstitious, but they're coming to
- 50:18Speaker 4: know Jesus. Hey, be a part of this today. Eight
- 50:21Speaker 4: hundred yes word, eight hundred yes word. It's five dollars
- 50:24Speaker 4: a Bible. You can give it that Kevinshow dot com.
- 50:27Speaker 4: That Kevinshow dot com again, be a part of this.
- 50:31Speaker 4: We love to get this goal met. Ten thousand waiting believers,
- 50:34Speaker 4: we want to bless them with dot ward a thousand
- 50:36Speaker 4: on their way.
- 50:37Speaker 2: Let's get it done.
- 50:56Speaker 10: Here.
- 50:56Speaker 1: He is from New York, that.
- 51:01Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough. Well, it is a joy to be with
- 51:07Speaker 4: you today. I'm Michael Woolworth. I'm joined by my colleague
- 51:09Speaker 4: Andy Earnshaw. We're with the Ministry Bible League. Kevin isoff
- 51:13Speaker 4: this week. As I mentioned, he's invited several guest hosts
- 51:16Speaker 4: to be a part of this show and to be
- 51:17Speaker 4: a part of your life today. So thanks for tuning
- 51:20Speaker 4: in and letting us be a part of this. You know, Andy,
- 51:23Speaker 4: as we came on the show today, we said, really,
- 51:25Speaker 4: above all, we want to make much of God. We
- 51:28Speaker 4: want to take a little bit of a break from
- 51:30Speaker 4: the headlines of the day and be reminded that He's
- 51:32Speaker 4: at work in this world through his word. Somebody might argue, Michael,
- 51:37Speaker 4: that is in God's economy the headlines of the day, right,
- 51:40Speaker 4: I mean everything else is sort of noise. But no,
- 51:42Speaker 4: we know that Kevin mccalluch helps us make sense of
- 51:46Speaker 4: what's happening in the world today, right, especially to see
- 51:49Speaker 4: it from a Christian perspective, and so Kevin said, Michael Andy,
- 51:52Speaker 4: come on the show, take some time. Let folks know
- 51:55Speaker 4: what God is doing and invite them, urge them to
- 51:58Speaker 4: be a part of what He is doing. Again, for
- 52:00Speaker 4: the princely sum of only five dollars a Bible. As
- 52:03Speaker 4: I said going into the break last segment, you know,
- 52:07Speaker 4: we want to do this for ten thousand waiting believers
- 52:09Speaker 4: that we know by name at Bible League, about a
- 52:11Speaker 4: thousand Bibles have been sent to this point. It's not
- 52:14Speaker 4: a campaign. It'll go on forever. And so again, pray
- 52:16Speaker 4: about this today. Would you be a part of this.
- 52:19Speaker 4: We've been pushing this campaign for about three weeks now.
- 52:22Speaker 4: We're a little be behind where we'd love to be right,
- 52:25Speaker 4: and so we're simply praying. Let this be the day.
- 52:28Speaker 4: Pray about it again. At five dollars a bible sixty
- 52:31Speaker 4: dollars cents twelve, one hundred and fifty dollars today we'll
- 52:34Speaker 4: take care of thirty waiting believers. Andy, there is this.
- 52:36Speaker 4: I call it a miracle multiplier. We can say at
- 52:39Speaker 4: Bible League, after about nine decades in ministry that on
- 52:42Speaker 4: average a Bible impacts about a dozen people for Christ.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Right a dozen people for Christ. So as you make
- 52:48Speaker 4: that gift, think about that miracle multiplier of twelve every
- 52:52Speaker 4: bible impacting about a dozen people for the cause of Christ. Again,
- 52:57Speaker 4: two ways to get involved today at eight hundred yes
- 53:00Speaker 4: word eight hundred yes word. That's eight hundred nine three
- 53:04Speaker 4: seven nine six seven three eight hundred nine three seven
- 53:07Speaker 4: nine six seven three eight hundred yes word. Or just
- 53:11Speaker 4: click the Bible League banner. You can find that at
- 53:13Speaker 4: that Kevinshow dot com. That's that kevinshow dot com. Or
- 53:17Speaker 4: for if you prefer WMCA dot com. Again, just look
- 53:20Speaker 4: for the Bible League banner and Andy, We've got plenty
- 53:23Speaker 4: of listeners.
- 53:23Speaker 2: That I have said what in absolutely yeah, God, God
- 53:27Speaker 2: is moving in big ways and he's moving through listeners here.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Miguel Brooklyn gave twenty bibles. Beverly the Bronx gave a
- 53:35Speaker 2: gift of five bibles. Michael Over in New Jersey, he
- 53:38Speaker 2: gave a gift of twenty Bibles to people that have
- 53:41Speaker 2: been desiring praying for him. And like you said, not
- 53:44Speaker 2: just one dozens, this is going to reach dozens of people.
- 53:47Speaker 4: Well, let me add to that. Richard of Somerset, New
- 53:50Speaker 4: Jersey said I'm in at six bibles. DeBie of Dunellen,
- 53:53Speaker 4: New Jersey said, Michael Andy count me in for ten bibles,
- 53:56Speaker 4: and then Paul of Breezypoint, New York said, I want
- 53:59Speaker 4: to be a part of this, making a one hundred
- 54:00Speaker 4: dollars tax deductible gift enough to put bibles into the
- 54:04Speaker 4: empty waiting hands of twenty believers that we know by
- 54:08Speaker 4: name at Bible League. And you know, we're going all
- 54:10Speaker 4: over the world today. I love to say no passport required,
- 54:13Speaker 4: no jet lag tomorrow the morning, right, but we're going
- 54:16Speaker 4: to places where you know, in essence faith is forbidden.
- 54:19Speaker 4: You and I are excited about church growth, right, talks
- 54:22Speaker 4: about you know, the church growing in the Andes Mountains,
- 54:25Speaker 4: you know, in the midst of the former village witch
- 54:27Speaker 4: Doctor in Madagascar, Africa. Right, we're excited about this, but
- 54:30Speaker 4: there are forces at work that aren't right. In fact,
- 54:34Speaker 4: they do everything they can to oppose the gospel. That
- 54:36Speaker 4: is certainly true in the country of China, China right now,
- 54:40Speaker 4: the communist government, I mean doing everything it can to
- 54:43Speaker 4: jail pastors, destroy churches. And we know of a church
- 54:47Speaker 4: that was to celebrate an anniversary not too long ago
- 54:49Speaker 4: on the eve of that celebration, they destroyed the church.
- 54:53Speaker 4: There was no advance, not there's no repercussions for those
- 54:56Speaker 4: that did this right, and of course they threatened those
- 54:59Speaker 4: that would dare to gather as part of the House
- 55:01Speaker 4: Church movement. These are those that again for the most part,
- 55:05Speaker 4: fail to register with the government. When you do that,
- 55:08Speaker 4: they give you a sanitized Bible that strips Jesus of
- 55:12Speaker 4: his deity. And so the believers that we're talking about
- 55:14Speaker 4: in this country that again fiercely opposes the Gospel, they've
- 55:18Speaker 4: got to have the real thing, and that's what we're
- 55:20Speaker 4: doing today in this Kingdom business. But our CEO, a
- 55:24Speaker 4: man that we know and love, Yo Snoop, right, has
- 55:27Speaker 4: this to say about Christians who day in and day out,
- 55:30Speaker 4: are putting their lives on the line to see what
- 55:33Speaker 4: not only the Gospel go forth, but to see lives
- 55:35Speaker 4: transformed and then to see you know, disciples made, even
- 55:39Speaker 4: in countries like China. This is Yo Snoop, President and
- 55:42Speaker 4: CEO of Bible League.
- 55:44Speaker 9: It's just been a joyful year of seeing faithful people,
- 55:49Speaker 9: you know, do their mission, people that take risk, that
- 55:52Speaker 9: put their lives on the line. We've work in so
- 55:55Speaker 9: many countries where that is you know, the reality, and
- 55:58Speaker 9: just to see these people go faithfully and serve him
- 56:01Speaker 9: is fantastic.
- 56:02Speaker 4: Yeah, Yo Snow president and CEO of Bible League, and
- 56:05Speaker 4: I appreciate his perspective. And that is Andy. You know,
- 56:08Speaker 4: God has given us the charge to work in places
- 56:11Speaker 4: where the work is hard, right. I mean again, people
- 56:13Speaker 4: are excited about the growth of the church there, but
- 56:17Speaker 4: we are and I know this listening family is as well.
- 56:20Speaker 4: But you don't want to linger in China here for
- 56:22Speaker 4: this segment. Tell you about a pastor by the name
- 56:24Speaker 4: of Katsu And I'll do this by way of an update.
- 56:26Speaker 4: I've shared this story with this listening family before, but
- 56:29Speaker 4: the story of Katshu is what. He's about, sixty years
- 56:32Speaker 4: of age, serves just outside of Beijing, China, the seat
- 56:35Speaker 4: of the national government there. I won't identify exactly where
- 56:38Speaker 4: he's at, but Andy, this man has been beaten, in
- 56:40Speaker 4: jailed probably twenty five times in the course of his ministry.
- 56:44Speaker 4: They beat him so severely last time he couldn't get
- 56:46Speaker 4: up for about a week. They're after total humiliation. I
- 56:50Speaker 4: mean they beat him. They use an electric baton, leave
- 56:53Speaker 4: permanent burns all over his body. Now, I know we
- 56:56Speaker 4: have a lot of pastors listening right now. My prayer
- 56:58Speaker 4: is that you cannot identify with this story. I can't
- 57:01Speaker 4: think of too many pastors or the US Andy that
- 57:04Speaker 4: have been tortured to the point where there's permanent burns
- 57:07Speaker 4: left all over their body. That was the case of
- 57:09Speaker 4: this man Catsu. But they let him go, told him
- 57:12Speaker 4: to never speak of Jesus again. This was what they
- 57:14Speaker 4: had told him many many times. Right, So he goes home,
- 57:16Speaker 4: his wife is relieved to find out he had not
- 57:18Speaker 4: been executed for his faith. Right about a week later
- 57:21Speaker 4: and knock came on his door. He was somewhat reluctant
- 57:24Speaker 4: to open it, and he did. Who did he find?
- 57:26Speaker 4: The man Hio? Who is Hio? This bitter atheist interrogator
- 57:31Speaker 4: who was a tool of the government there right to
- 57:33Speaker 4: humiliate pastors like kat Zoo. But he had a question
- 57:36Speaker 4: Andy that I believe was divinely planted, and it was simply,
- 57:40Speaker 4: how are you at such peace when we were beating you?
- 57:43Speaker 4: How were you at such peace when we were beating you?
- 57:45Speaker 4: So this pastor Katsu would lovingly open his door, open
- 57:49Speaker 4: his mandarin bunable lead this bitter atheist of faith in Christ. Right,
- 57:54Speaker 4: and together they've witnessed more than a thousand people coming
- 57:57Speaker 4: to Christ. All of these part of the House church.
- 58:00Speaker 4: And again these churches that gather and worship and places
- 58:03Speaker 4: where faith really is forbid. Right, I mean, this is
- 58:07Speaker 4: the work that God has given Biblely to work with
- 58:10Speaker 4: pastors like Katsu. And again, Andy, I pray that people
- 58:14Speaker 4: like Hio would see the light would come to saving
- 58:17Speaker 4: faith and something beautiful would come from their lives. But
- 58:21Speaker 4: again the update is that Andy, there's another thousand that
- 58:24Speaker 4: have come to Christ, to part of this house church movement. Again,
- 58:27Speaker 4: these churches that refuse to register with the government. But
- 58:31Speaker 4: talk about in the course of of what we do
- 58:35Speaker 4: with church planners, people like Katsu, where there's not an
- 58:39Speaker 4: abundance of churches, how important is it for biblele and
- 58:42Speaker 4: for Christians in general to have sort of a spirit
- 58:45Speaker 4: of coming alongside people like that and saying, you know what,
- 58:48Speaker 4: we want to support you to the glory of God.
- 58:50Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, the churches is God's way of bringing
- 58:54Speaker 2: hope to his people, of encouragement of truth. You know,
- 58:59Speaker 2: we heard these stories and we hear people that have
- 59:03Speaker 2: gone to prison for forty years just for having a Bible.
- 59:05Speaker 2: And people that are stabbed, people that are pushed off roofs,
- 59:10Speaker 2: that only encourage them to continue doing their work faithfully
- 59:14Speaker 2: and even going into harder areas. And the Church is
- 59:18Speaker 2: what supports that. You know, how did Paul do his work.
- 59:21Speaker 2: He did his work through the church. He was supported
- 59:23Speaker 2: by the church. And we're called as Christians to support
- 59:27Speaker 2: that same work today in areas where people are being
- 59:30Speaker 2: persecuted relentlessly.
- 59:32Speaker 4: About every three and a half hours, we estimate that
- 59:34Speaker 4: a church is planning with the help of a Bible.
- 59:37Speaker 4: And you know, we don't go in and plant biblegue churches.
- 59:39Speaker 4: We work with believers, Andy, that are there on the ground.
- 59:42Speaker 4: They're embedded, they have this incredible burden to see the
- 59:46Speaker 4: Gospel reach. They're part of the world right in the place.
- 59:50Speaker 4: In the case of Katsu, he's worked with bibly for many,
- 59:53Speaker 4: many years. And the fruit of what you're seeing a
- 59:56Speaker 4: thousand here, a thousand there saying yes, did you Andy again,
- 1:00:01Speaker 4: that's the work.
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: I want to be a part of you too, Yeah, yeah, absolutely, yeah,
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: That's what God's called us to, right.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: And yet, Andy, if we could query the believers in
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: that House church movement. They would not say, look, we're
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: praying for your pity today, or we need some protections here, right, come,
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: you know, give us in a better part, you know,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: give us an airline ticket out of this terrible place.
- 1:00:20Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: What they're saying is, no, we want loff God with
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: every fiber of our being. We want to see those
- 1:00:26Speaker 4: who hate us, right because we bear the name of Jesus,
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: not as the enemy, but as the mission field. Of
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: course they're quick to say, what we need Bibles in
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: that part of the world. It's the Mandarin language. Andy,
- 1:00:36Speaker 4: I've got a Chinese Bible in our studio here with us.
- 1:00:38Speaker 4: I know it's radio. People can't see it, so let
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: me describe it. Basic black cover Bible League translated this
- 1:00:44Speaker 4: maybe thirty years ago. You open it up, you find
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: the beautiful Mandarin print. I'm not a Mandarin speaker. I
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: don't know that you are either. To us, this Bible
- 1:00:52Speaker 4: means nothing. But to the people that we're talking about today, Andy,
- 1:00:56Speaker 4: they would give their left arm for what we're talking about.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: And it's why we're doing this Kingdom business today. Listen,
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: pray about it. A thousand followers of Jesus members of
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: our spiritual family are praying for a Bible today. You
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: can send it five dollars sends a Bible sixty dollars today.
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: Takes care of a dozen and two ways to get involved.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: It's eight hundred yes word, eight hundred yes word or
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: click the Bible League ban or you can find that
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: at that kevinshow dot com. Hey, Michael Woolworth, Andy Earnshaw
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: with Bible League. It is an honor to be here today,
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: Stay with us. More to come on that Kevin Show.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Let's stick around for more of that Kevin next.
- 1:01:56Speaker 12: Here he is from New York.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: That Kevin McCollough. Well, the time has getten away from us,
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: but it is a joy to be with you today
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: on Michael Walworth, Andy Earntow By the League. We've given
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Kevin the week off, if you will, to spend some
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: time with his family, and he's given us the opportunity
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: to come and make much of our God. Andy, He's
- 1:02:21Speaker 4: at work in this world. You know, as I said,
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: coming into the show today, you know how refreshing to
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: take just a brief pause from the headlines of the
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: day to be reminded that God's at work. Right, But
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: you know, as believers, we have a responsibility, a privilege,
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: a joy to be a part of what He's doing.
- 1:02:38Speaker 4: And Andy, you've been all over the world. You and
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: I've traveled together. We've been to Southeast Asia. You've seen
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: the reaction of believers when they finally get a Bible.
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: You know, a lot of these listeners will never get
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: the experience. You know, they'll never be in that room
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: where we see that joy when they finally get that Bible,
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: when they finally read that verse first verse. But talk
- 1:02:57Speaker 4: about what you've seen in your travels on the world.
- 1:03:00Speaker 2: You know, people get a Bible for the first time
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: and they see it as God's word to them, that
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: God is speaking to them, and you know, they break
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: down in tears. A lot of times they've been waiting
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: for maybe years for a Bible. We see joy, we
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: see dancing, we see celebration. It's not a quiet thing
- 1:03:22Speaker 2: when a box of Bibles enters into a church after
- 1:03:25Speaker 2: people have been praying for it. Usually that's a joy filled,
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: incredible dancing time or just weeping or just over gratitude
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: for the Bibles themselves. And it's incredible what we see there.
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: And we want to do this for just north of
- 1:03:41Speaker 4: ten thousand waiting believers that we know by name of
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: Bible League. These are members of our spiritual family. All
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: of these have said yes to Jesus. Andy, They've gone
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: through a weekly study from Bible. You and I have
- 1:03:51Speaker 4: been through that, so that we can say with confidence
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: when anybody, wherever they are in the world, right the
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: Andy's mounds inside the walls of China will go to Malawi, Africa.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Here in a moment. Whenever they go through that, they're
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: in a great place to begin their walk with Christ.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: And yet they need a Bible. That's kind of the
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: missing piece there right as they come to saving faith.
- 1:04:10Speaker 4: But you've got some wonderful listeners that have said, look,
- 1:04:13Speaker 4: count us in. We want to be a part of
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: the joy that you're talking about today. Michael and Andy.
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Yvonne and Brooklyn gave a gift of four bibles.
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: Valerie the Bronx, she gave four bibles. Gloria and Brooklyn
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: stepped up. She gave a two hundred dollars gift. That's
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: providing forty Bibles for people that have been crying out,
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: praying for them, waiting for them. So thank you.
- 1:04:34Speaker 4: And let me add to that Miguel of Brooklyn twenty bibles.
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: Beverly of the Bronx said, I'm in at five bibles,
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: and then Michael of Clifton, New Jersey said, Michael and
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: Andy count be in a one hundred hour at tax
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: deductible gift for twenty waiting believers. Again, we're about a
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: thousand Bibles to the good. We're grateful for every gift
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: to this point. But you can do the math between
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: where we're at where we need to be. We've been
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: a long way to go. Andy. If there's a group
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: that can get us there, it's listeners to that Kevin
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: show WMCA, and again it happens with every call and
- 1:05:03Speaker 4: with every clique. Today, I want to take you to
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: the country of Malawi, Africa. As I said earlier, you know,
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: Africa is the part of the world where Christianity is
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: growing in the greatest numbers in the world. Right, praise
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: God for that. It's also a place where the greatest
- 1:05:17Speaker 4: number of refugees live.
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:05:19Speaker 4: These are people displaced from their countries, likely to never return. Right.
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: There's governments, there's people groups that fiercely oppose some of
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: these people, and so they end up in places like
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: this Elika refugee camp in Malawi, Africa. Right, Andy, I
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: saw a documentary on this. I think it was BBC
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: that did this. It really showed the chaos that defines
- 1:05:39Speaker 4: this Elika refugee camp, a place that was built for
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: about sixty about ten thousand people, built for about ten thousand.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: They've managed the stuff about sixty thousand women, men and
- 1:05:49Speaker 4: children into this camp. Right, it's you in funded again.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: It's a place of chaos. There's poor sanitation, people get sick,
- 1:05:58Speaker 4: they die, There's people groups that absolutely hate each other
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: and so they have reported assaults, There's been rapes, there's
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: been murders. Right inside there's Alika refugee camp. Our colleague
- 1:06:10Speaker 4: Nick went into that camp to kind of get a
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: feel for what is happening there, and he has this
- 1:06:15Speaker 4: to say from the country of Malawi. Inside there's Elieka
- 1:06:18Speaker 4: refugee camp.
- 1:06:19Speaker 15: Many of the people coming to the camp, many cases
- 1:06:22Speaker 15: these women whose husbands had been killed, were obviously coming
- 1:06:26Speaker 15: in the most desperate circumstances, wondering how they're going to
- 1:06:29Speaker 15: look after their families, feed their children, and really feeling
- 1:06:33Speaker 15: completely hopeless and homeless. But what we discovered is that
- 1:06:37Speaker 15: many of them through the work that we've been able
- 1:06:40Speaker 15: to do, there are really finding hope. And some of
- 1:06:42Speaker 15: them were saying that the sort of lifelong aspiration now
- 1:06:45Speaker 15: is actually to stay in the camp as evangelists, to
- 1:06:48Speaker 15: which to me was remarkable.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: Any our colleague Nick, you can tell he's a brit
- 1:06:52Speaker 4: right having gone in the Zalika refugee camp. You know,
- 1:06:55Speaker 4: he talks about a lot of the people that are there,
- 1:06:57Speaker 4: especially women. They're widows, her husbands have died right in
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: that camp, or that's one of the reasons they're in
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: that camp, displaced from their own country. But Andy, by
- 1:07:07Speaker 4: the grace of God, there were churches in that area
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: that said, look, we've got to do something. We've got
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: to take the hope of the Gospel into this place.
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: So they began to work with Bibly. We provided without
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: charge three prominent language Bible studies, the French, Swahili and
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: the Karundi languages, right, and they started fifty Bible studies,
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: some of these exclusive the men, some exclusive the women.
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: About forty people in each of those. And I can
- 1:07:32Speaker 4: tell you, by the grace of God and the gumption
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: of these churches going in and immersing themselves in the
- 1:07:38Speaker 4: chaos of this camp. A thousand people have said yes
- 1:07:41Speaker 4: to Jesus. A thousand people have said yes to Jesus right,
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: and the mainstream media that covers this place cannot deny
- 1:07:47Speaker 4: this gospel, even though we don't understand it changes people.
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: One of those in that camp is Maryam. Her husband
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: died in the camp, leaving her a widow with three
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: young children, ages three, five, and seven. And and today
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: she's not again praying for our pity or for our protection.
- 1:08:02Speaker 4: She's praying for what the precious word of God. And
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: it happens on only five dollars a bible. Two ways
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: to get involved today it's eight hundred yes word, eight
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: hundred yes word, eight hundred yees WRD or just click
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: the Bible League banner. You can find that at that
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: Kevinshow dot com. That's that Kevinshow dot com or WMCA
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: dot com. We want to do this for ten thousand
- 1:08:25Speaker 4: waiting believers that we know by name of Bible League,
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: one thousand Bibles on their way. Would you help us
- 1:08:30Speaker 4: get there together? That Kevin Show, Mike Wolworth, Andy Earnshaw,
- 1:08:34Speaker 4: Bible League back in a moment.
- 1:08:56Speaker 11: Here.
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: He is from New York, Kevin McCollough. And you need
- 1:09:06Speaker 4: to be reminded today that God is at work in
- 1:09:09Speaker 4: his world through his word. You know, it's the very
- 1:09:11Speaker 4: thing Jesus promised in John, for he said, if I
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: be lifted up, I'll draw the nations to myself. And
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: you know, Andy, most of us know John three sixteen. Right,
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: you can see that flying end zones not tolugg from
- 1:09:24Speaker 4: now right. College football kicks off next month. Wow, it's
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: hard to believe. But first John three sixteen, how many
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: of us know that? One? Right? This is what John writes.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: He says, this is how we know what love is.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: Jesus laid down his life for us. We ought to
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. And
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: then he goes on. He says, if anyone with the
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: means to help sees a brother or sister in need,
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: but shows no pity on them, how can the love
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: of God be in that person? He says, dear children,
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: let us love not with words or speech, but in
- 1:09:54Speaker 4: truth and with action. And Andy, I'm so thankful this
- 1:09:57Speaker 4: is a listening family that really takes that scripture to heart.
- 1:09:59Speaker 4: I think of working together for about thirty years of
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: Akedom partnership. How they have said to themselves, I love
- 1:10:05Speaker 4: my Bible. God has used his word to grow me.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: Let me give that privilege to others for the princely
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: sum of only five dollars a bible. Andy, you've got
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: folks that have said, yeah, we want to be a
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: part of this.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: God is moving and he's moving through people listening to
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: this radio station Florence in Kinnelon, New Jersey. Four Bibles.
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: Barbara Brooklyn gave a gift of thirteen bibles. Ruth in
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: the Bronx she God worked in her heart. She gave
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: a five hundred dollars gift which is going to provide
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: one hundred bibles.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: I love that. Yeah, let me add to that. Evonn
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: of Brooklyn said, I'm in at four bibles. Valerie of
- 1:10:37Speaker 4: the Bronx, same, she said, Michael Andy, count me in.
- 1:10:41Speaker 4: And then Glory of Brooklyn a two hundred dollars gift
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: enough to take care of forty bibles today. And please
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: know you know as you think about investing in this
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: Kingdom effort, this is an effort that you can believe in. Again,
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: the fact that we've worked together with this station, with
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: Kevin McCullough for almost thirty years. We get Hi, Marx, Andy,
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: you would expect him to be right. A nonprofit needs
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: to be a transparent, We need to be responsible. So
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: organizations like Charity Navigator, the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability,
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: they give us the highest marks and grateful for that,
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: and we believe that listeners deserve to know that, or
- 1:11:16Speaker 4: they even think about us given a gift.
- 1:11:18Speaker 9: Right.
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: But the other assurance you have today as you think
- 1:11:21Speaker 4: about making this gift, Andy, I think of Isaiah fifty five.
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: It's so important to us at Bible League. It's etched
- 1:11:28Speaker 4: in the front of our building. You and I see.
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: That's everything we come to work right, And it's God
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: in the heart of the prophet writing what my word
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: will go for it will not return for it. It
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: will accomplish my purpose. And again I know this is
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: a listening family that gives in Christian love and in faith,
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: believing that Verse is the real deal, will accomplish his purpose.
- 1:11:52Speaker 4: And again I know it's tempting to say, in this great, big,
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: crazy world of ours, what does my five dollars gift
- 1:11:58Speaker 4: truly do? In this great, big world. The stories we've
- 1:12:02Speaker 4: shared today, Andy, the spots that you're hearing, the testimonies
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: of those believers. It all started with one Bible, somebody
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: able to share what's in that Bible, and then a
- 1:12:11Speaker 4: gracious God willing to bring people from the grips of
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: spiritual darkness. I want to shift a little bit here,
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: go to the Middle East. Andy, So we said earlier,
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: you and I are not geopolitical scientists. We don't know
- 1:12:23Speaker 4: the answer to all the complexities of a part of
- 1:12:26Speaker 4: the world that's known conflict and suffering and loss for millennia.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: But as we see the hope of the Gospel applied
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: in that part of the world, we see lives truly
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: transform people like Pastor Khalil. In that part of the world,
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: a lot of pastors not able to minister at least
- 1:12:42Speaker 4: on a full time salary. They may minister full time,
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: but the congregations live in extreme poverty. So often as
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: you identify as a believer, you're withheld services and jobs. Right.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: So a lot of these pastors will be by vocational.
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: They may work for somebody. They may be a business owner.
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: That was the case of Lele who had a little
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: shop selling baking goods sold to fresh produce like olives
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: and figs. Right on two occasions, radicals, knowing that he
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: is a former Sunni Muslim now a believer and a
- 1:13:13Speaker 4: pastor and evangelical pastor in that part of the world,
- 1:13:16Speaker 4: they destroyed his shop not once, but twice. One of
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: those occasions nearly killed the man, right, but he was
- 1:13:21Speaker 4: able to get out. He did not retaliate with violence.
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: A lot of people would andy, right, he didn't retaliate
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: with violence. Instead, he took to heart the words of
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: Jesus and Matthew five, where Jesus says, I tell you
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you. Right,
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: and this man Khalil has gone on. He invited eighty
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: Sunni Muslims to come to a weekly Bible study from
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: Biblely all eighty of those have said yes to Jesus again.
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: These people now will live their lives, lead their families
- 1:13:51Speaker 4: with targets on their back. Our colleague Kareem in that
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: part of the world talks about his people that leave
- 1:13:58Speaker 4: Islam right and become believers. They do so almost to
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: their own peril. Right. This is Kareem and he is
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: in the Middle East.
- 1:14:06Speaker 16: What you might expect is that the government to depress
- 1:14:09Speaker 16: a person who converts from Islam to Christianity. It happens,
- 1:14:14Speaker 16: but this is not what mainly happens. What basically and
- 1:14:17Speaker 16: mainly happens is that the family of the ex Muslim
- 1:14:20Speaker 16: are the ones who persecute him and would even try
- 1:14:24Speaker 16: to kill him, and this would be viewed by the
- 1:14:27Speaker 16: Egyptian law to be an honor killing. The main difficulty
- 1:14:32Speaker 16: that faces people who convert is that their families are
- 1:14:36Speaker 16: not very welcoming of them and can be very hostile
- 1:14:39Speaker 16: to them.
- 1:14:40Speaker 4: Any we know that Kareem is not exaggerating the truth.
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: Places where serial law says, you know again, if you're
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: a believer, a former Muslim, you're now an infidel. We
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: deserve to be partially treated. That death is perfectly acceptable
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: in those cultures. But Andy talk about Pastor Khalil, This
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: by vocational minister there in the Middle East. A man
- 1:15:01Speaker 4: has gone through a lot, right, ministers with a target
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: on his back? How important is it for him for
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: those new believers that he's led to Jesus to know
- 1:15:09Speaker 4: that God knows them intimately?
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: Wow? Yeah, you know when people give the Bible, it's
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: not a donation you know, it's really an investment into somebody.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: And when people have God's word, when they have the resources,
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: when they can hear God speaking to them and reassuring
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: them of his love and that they're his. You know
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: how valuable is that. That's that is more precious than gold,
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: more precious than honey. As Psalm nineteen says, we know
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: God's word does not return void. We see the investment
- 1:15:45Speaker 2: payoff in an incredible ways.
- 1:15:48Speaker 4: Yeah, first co first John three sixteen. Again, this is love.
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: You know, when somebody is in need, we we respond,
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: we do, we can't and we're not going to put
- 1:15:56Speaker 4: on the pressure today. We're simply going to invite you
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: be a part of what God is doing, even half
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: a world of weight in places like the Middle East,
- 1:16:03Speaker 4: it's five dollars a bible, sixty dollars today will take
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: care of putting Bibles into the hands of twelve waiting believers.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: You pray about it, be a part of it again.
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: Eight hundred yes word, eight hundred yes word. That's eight
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: hundred yes word or click the Bible League banner. You
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: can find that at that kevinshow dot com. Hey, great
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: to be with you today. We've got one more segment
- 1:16:24Speaker 4: back in a moment's.
- 1:16:35Speaker 12: Stick around for more of that Kevin next serving it
- 1:16:51Speaker 12: up with a no drink mental. It's that Kevin that show.
- 1:17:00Speaker 4: Kevin mccaullaugh has well deserved a week off. He's given
- 1:17:04Speaker 4: a great responsibility and privileged to several of us who
- 1:17:08Speaker 4: will be guest host for the week. But that's Michael Woolworth,
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: Andy Earnshaw, Biblely and Andy. It's great to be here today.
- 1:17:15Speaker 4: You know, we've been sharing stories with unmet Bible needs,
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: you know, fifty here, five hundred there. You know we
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: mentioned the need right now with one particular house church
- 1:17:23Speaker 4: movement of a thousand Bibles needed. But you've got the
- 1:17:25Speaker 4: names of just fellow believers praying, as I love to say,
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: not for our pity or for our protection. Today, they're
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: praying for what the precious Word of God. Yeah, you know,
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: brothers and sisters across the world. Was she in China?
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: She and her husband, they're rice farmers. She lives in
- 1:17:41Speaker 4: a country with two kids and her husband.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: That don't want Christians, you know, and she's praying for
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: a Bible of her own for her family to be
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: able to study. Yang Cambodi, a former Buddhist. He desires
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: a full Bible in his language. He's waiting for one
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: Siam and Nepaul Hindu. He was shunned by his family,
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: just like Kareem talked in the last segment, shunned by
- 1:18:05Speaker 2: his family, speaks Nepoli. He needs a Bible. These are
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: all real people that have been praying for a Bible,
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: that have been asking for a Bible. And you can
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: be the one that meets that need.
- 1:18:16Speaker 4: Today, we have an ambitious goal. We want to bless
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: just north of ten thousand waiting believers. These are brothers
- 1:18:21Speaker 4: and sisters in the Lord that we know by name
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: it biblele Today just north of a thousand have been sent.
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: There's a little gap between where we are where we
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: need to be in a few short weeks to come.
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: But and if there's a group that could get us there,
- 1:18:33Speaker 4: it is those that listen to that Kevin show in WMCA.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: And you've got some folks that have said count us in. Yeah.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: Rebecca and New York City gave a gift of ten bibles.
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: David New Jersey stepped up gave twenty Bibles to people
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: that have been wanting one. Robert in Thornwood and New
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: York made a three hundred dollars gift to that provide
- 1:18:52Speaker 2: sixty bible, sixty families that are going to receive a
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: Bible because of that.
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: Well, I love Isaiah fifty two. Andy, Isaiah fifty two Bible.
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: You would expect us to quote some scripture every now
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: and right, But I think about what Isaasia writes. He says,
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: you know, how beautiful are the feet of those who
- 1:19:08Speaker 4: send good news?
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: Right?
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: How beautiful are the feet of those who sin good news?
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: And you know, I think about the world. We'll sind
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: what clean water, food, shelter, all of those have a
- 1:19:18Speaker 4: place in the in the in the work of ministrying
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: around the world. You'll never hear Bible League under a
- 1:19:25Speaker 4: state how important those things are. But Andy, it's on us,
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: as the people of God to send these Bibles, isn't it.
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that's right. Yeah, you know who's going to step up?
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: If it's not the church, if it's not brothers and
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: sisters that know what it's like to be a Christian.
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: Maybe not in the type of persecution that our brothers
- 1:19:41Speaker 2: and sisters around the world know, But yeah, He's called
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: us to make disciples. This is an easy way to
- 1:19:45Speaker 2: do that.
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: We've talked about I call him heroes of the faith. Andy,
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: people like Katsu beaten twenty five times because he bears
- 1:19:52Speaker 4: the name of Jesus. Right, we've talked about Khalil, you know,
- 1:19:55Speaker 4: a shop burned down, he lost his life. Again, heroes
- 1:19:59Speaker 4: of the faith. Right. But what we're asking this listening
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: family to do today is no less important than what
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: these people are doing on their clients. Right, fellow believers,
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: It's to put that precious word into their hands and
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: their hearts. And again it happens at five dollars a Bible.
- 1:20:14Speaker 4: I want to end with this clip from an evangelist
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: by the name of Able. He ministers in Ghana, on
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: the continent of Africa, and and he has this to
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: say by way of thanking people and just urging others
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: who have not gotten involved yet to be a part
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: of this.
- 1:20:29Speaker 14: Thank you very much for supporting by Bulik to give
- 1:20:32Speaker 14: to this ministry. You are touching life. I've seen people
- 1:20:35Speaker 14: being changed by reading the scripture. They've also been looking
- 1:20:37Speaker 14: for the scripture for a number of ys. Buying a Bible,
- 1:20:41Speaker 14: giving a Bible to somebody, he's the greatest gift you
- 1:20:43Speaker 14: can't give somebody in life.
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: I love that. That's the greatest gift. Right able ministering
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: on the continent of Africa again with thanks for your
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: support of what God is doing through Bible League, this
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: little humble ministry eighty eight years young right, five dollars
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: since a Bible eight hundred yes word eight hundred nine
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: three seven ninety six seven three. That's eight hundred yes word.
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: Or just click the Bible League banner at that Kevinshow
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: dot com. It's at Heavenshow dot com or WMCA dot com.
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: And Andy, you've been a great the co host. Thank
- 1:21:14Speaker 4: you pleased today brother always great.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that's great that we can be here.
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: Well, there is a little gap between where we are
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: today where we need to be in a few short weeks.
- 1:21:22Speaker 4: But Andy, if there's a group that can get us there,
- 1:21:25Speaker 4: it is this wonderful listening family. Be a part of
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: this eight hundred nest word or back Kevin Joe dot com.
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: God bless you for listening. Have a good rest of
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: your da
