- 0:02podcast. Woo woo Hoo nice welcome in one
- 0:08and all the Bangor management. The Fantasy Hockey Podcast with
- 0:11your esteemed host Jake, Josh and Kevin.
- 0:14Y'all are doing good. Doing fantastic.
- 0:18Great success. If I were any better, it'd be
- 0:20illegal. Whoa.
- 0:24So today we are going to be doing our first mail bag episode
- 0:29of the 202526 fantasy hockey season.
- 0:32Exciting stuff. We're going to be doing these
- 0:35almost every week. So we are.
- 0:38This is our inaugural inaugural. Anyway, this is our first one.
- 0:42Yeah. And we're also going to be
- 0:44adding some spicy Would you rathers to this another banger
- 0:47management staple for all those who were listening last year.
- 0:50Before we begin, please follow us on Spotify, Apple Podcast,
- 0:54wherever you get your podcasts. Rate US five stars in the
- 0:57episode that you are about to like what you hear in cool.

- 1:08Josh started us off with our first question from this week's
- 1:11mailbag. All right, Karah on Discord
- 1:14asked what do you think of the trade rumors involving Brady
- 1:17Kuchuk, Rasmus Anderson and Nazem Kadri?
- 1:20Are any of them legit? And how would that impact
- 1:22fantasy value? Alright, first First off, love
- 1:25you Kara. Thanks for being popping off in
- 1:27the. Discord.
- 1:31But to answer this question, I think the Calgary guys are, are
- 1:36I think Anderson's gone? He is for sure 100, his bags
- 1:39already packed. His bags already packed.
- 1:41It's just like how late in the season do we wait until like
- 1:44close to trade deadline to make it happen or not?
- 1:46Brady could Chuck is not leaving Ottawa.
- 1:47I think last year we saw with the with I guess the lack of
- 1:52high-end success, where auto people were starting to talk
- 1:55about it being like, does he want to be here for a long time
- 1:57if Ottawa can't win like. Meanwhile every turn he's like,
- 1:59I love being here, please stop. Asking me, Yeah, yeah.
- 2:02And also I think it's also up to him to, you know, take a step up
- 2:05in terms of points if he wants to, if this team needs to hit
- 2:09higher ceilings. But I don't see him like he's
- 2:12the captain of the team. Like he's not leaving unless
- 2:13traded, unless they get like a Bedard level prospect or
- 2:16celebrity or something in return.
- 2:17And they're like, alright, let's rethink.
- 2:19He wants to be traded. He's not gonna get.
- 2:21He doesn't want to. No, so that's not happening.
- 2:24Anderson is getting traded. Kadri Spicy though, because I
- 2:27feel like he'll be a prime candidate for other teams to
- 2:30fill that like 2C roll come, you know, teams trying to load up
- 2:34for the playoffs. I like him a lot in Calgary in
- 2:37terms of like he's always been a guy that has a high shot volume,
- 2:39maybe doesn't have the highest point ceiling anymore, but he's
- 2:42getting a lot of shots and that's why it makes them
- 2:44valuable in fantasy, especially in deeper leagues.
- 2:47He'll be, he'll be a nice asset to to to have in fantasy,
- 2:52especially if he gets traded. I think like he'll be one of
- 2:54those guys that you wanna see traded because he can go to an
- 2:57exciting destination. I actually disagree with that.
- 3:00OK, probably enough. So first of all for Anderson,
- 3:04he's pretty much his only value on Calgary is blocks.
- 3:07He's an elite blocker but doesn't really do much else,
- 3:09especially with we are having power play 1 and then project
- 3:12possibly having probably power play 1.
- 3:14Essentially Anderson has no chance at it.
- 3:16He's most likely to leave. If he goes to the team where he
- 3:18can be the power play, you're back.
- 3:19He becomes a guy I immediately want to pick up.
- 3:22But other than that, I don't see him having the most fancy
- 3:25relevance. In terms of Kadri, who is the
- 3:27second most likely to get traded again?
- 3:29He would be. Anderson could get traded
- 3:31anytime of the year. Cadre's going to be closer to
- 3:32the deadline if it happens. And yeah, it's going to be a
- 3:35playoff team looking to boost their 2C in Calgary.
- 3:38Calgary's the guy. He's the best forward to own on
- 3:40Calgary in terms of fantasy and probably just the best forward
- 3:43they have. If he gets traded to another
- 3:45team, it's a team that's already pretty deep probably and trying
- 3:48to make a push to the playoffs. Look at like Brock Nelson last
- 3:50year going to Colorado, right? Nelson was a great asset to own
- 3:55in fantasy before the trade. He was always underrated, always
- 3:57putting up shots. He was one of the main point
- 3:59guys on Islanders. He got traded to Colorado,
- 4:01becomes the two seat power play 2 and all of a sudden you have 0
- 4:05interest in owning him in fantasy.
- 4:06So it's obviously it's a pen situation.
- 4:08You never know what team is going to go to.
- 4:10But the way I see it most like there's no way he's going to be
- 4:12as talismanic as we like to say on the demonstrated to as a as
- 4:17on Calgary. So it could only go down to me.
- 4:20The only upside I could see is let's say somehow he goes back
- 4:23to like Colorado or he goes to like Edmonton and they have an
- 4:26empty. That would be the worst place to
- 4:29put him in fantasy value. But.
- 4:31Yeah, fire production would be better in Carolina than it would
- 4:34be in in in Calgary. I think Caroline is a black
- 4:37hole, but and it would be horrible for him.
- 4:39So yeah, the only the only chance I see him improving with
- 4:42the trade is going to lie Colorado and they decide we're
- 4:45gonna put him on power play one. But most places that trade for a
- 4:48guy that late in the season, they're just looking to shore up
- 4:50their 2C power play too. So I think he would lose value
- 4:53in a trade. You could go to Minnesota.
- 4:55Oh, that'd be cool actually. But I do I do still believe that
- 4:59it's not great to have players who go to different teams during
- 5:01the season. That being said to.
- 5:03Answer disproven likes like multiple times last year even if
- 5:07anything. It just depends on the
- 5:08destination. Yeah, but it's not really
- 5:12something that I would rely on. Nature got worse.
- 5:16You know, and they just actually was unreal to start the year.
- 5:18He was still just really good that that, yeah, it's not like
- 5:21he was like a Rantanen after trade, you know?
- 5:24Right. But you're adding Kadri because
- 5:26you want to bolster your lines. Like he's not going to a team
- 5:28where he's gonna be the number 1C.
- 5:30He's gonna take his role like. Josh, but he's not getting
- 5:32traded to a team that is wants to use them as there are three
- 5:36C. No, it's gonna be line 2 power
- 5:38play to wherever he gets traded to.
- 5:39I think he gets traded to a place that is to be line 2,
- 5:41partly 1 and that's why I feel like.
- 5:43What if it comes to the Habs? Yeah, he's not cracking
- 5:46powerfully on the hubs. Right.
- 5:47I don't think they have the trading for him though.
- 5:49I don't think that's. It's tough to find a great
- 5:51situation for him to. Go to but I hear you guys.
- 5:54I hear you guys definitely. I'm not, I'm not saying it's
- 5:55gonna be a stud if he gets traded like.
- 5:57Anywhere. No.
- 5:58No team that's acquiring him at the deadline has a hole at 1C
- 6:03because no team that has a hole at 1C is making the playoffs.
- 6:06So wherever he gets traded to is he's going to be the 2C.
- 6:10Obviously there's some situations where he could crack
- 6:12power play one, but a 2C is much less likely to crack.
- 6:15And then when he's in Calgary and guaranteed having all the
- 6:18touches and all the in the main centre.
- 6:19Of The thing is, I just think Calgary sucks and their power,
- 6:22their power play is not gonna be good.
- 6:24I think his ceiling on Calgary is like 65 points.
- 6:27Like he's gonna get the shots and maybe the shots go down no
- 6:29matter where he goes because nobody else takes shots on
- 6:32Calgary. But I think he could go to a
- 6:34place that has a better power play if he's involved in PP1 and
- 6:37averaged more points per game for like whatever it is a 30
- 6:41games remaining in the season. To answer the second part of
- 6:44cars question, I'm not changing my valuation on these guys based
- 6:50on where they're gonna get traded, except Anderson.
- 6:52For Anderson, I guess it's like, I just know he's gonna go
- 6:56somewhere else and the landing spot is hugely like the
- 7:01dependent on how he's going to do.
- 7:02I mean, I have no idea how that's going to happen.
- 7:04I don't really want him in any of my leagues anyways.
- 7:06That being said, I'm valuing Brady to Chuck as a senator for
- 7:08this year, and I'm valuing Kadri as a flame for this year.
- 7:11I'm not considering putting too much stock in the trade rumor so
- 7:14far. I think it's too.
- 7:16Early. It's definitely too early, but
- 7:18good to keep in mind. Yeah, let's move on to the
- 7:20second. Alright Nate G Oz on discord
- 7:24asked Will Cool will will Cooley will will will Cooley stick on
- 7:30the Rangers top line and Will Laugh stick on P1.
- 7:33How do you value these guys based on these questions?
- 7:36I think we'll Cooley is, you know, he there's no chance he's
- 7:40outside of the top six in my opinion this this season for the
- 7:43Rangers. I think no matter what you're
- 7:45looking at on like daily face off or what not, the line that
- 7:47has Panera is going to be line one.
- 7:49In my opinion, he's the best player.
- 7:52Whether it's I mean, it's most likely going to be true.
- 7:54Check JT is going to be playing with.
- 7:57I mean, we, we saw recently it's, it's Zip and Cooley,
- 7:59right, which I would love that for Cooley if that sticks.
- 8:03Either way, I like Cooley a lot. I think his point ceiling is
- 8:06obviously Kathy is not the type of player that's going to be
- 8:08putting up a lot of points or shots.
- 8:10And he's not, but he's. Actually one no, he's not
- 8:12touching power play one either, but he's gonna be a good guy to
- 8:14round out your squad and bangers League is very valuable,
- 8:16obviously, because he's one of the best hitters in the league
- 8:18and he has an amazing playoff schedule.
- 8:21He he's the type of guy that you know you you reach on around
- 8:23earlier or to to make sure you get on your roster for Major
- 8:26League. But besides that, I think his
- 8:29point ceiling feels better than it is given who he's playing
- 8:32with and the team done. Yeah, I really really like
- 8:36Cooley for this year and I'm super happy to to pick him.
- 8:41Even in the in the bottom 6 role last year he was awesome.
- 8:44They have no wingers that I think are a decent bet at all to
- 8:48overtake him unless Gabriel Perot is quietly insane.
- 8:51Stop mentioning Gabriel Perot. Trying to make fetch happen.
- 8:55It's not gonna happen. Is there anybody else though?
- 8:58Like no, it's there's no translating like that.
- 9:01Coolies dropping out of the top 6.
- 9:03I mean, the coaches literally said that he loves he really
- 9:05likes Cooley and is excited to see him take a step up this
- 9:08year. So it's.
- 9:09Not going to happen, but if there is anybody, it's him and
- 9:12he may not even stay in the NHL. So.
- 9:14Basically it's not happening. He's gonna be top 6, which is
- 9:16great. And as far as laugh on power
- 9:19play one goes, I am pretty 5050 on this but I still think it's
- 9:24worth taking laugh where like like I eagles recently.
- 9:28The coach recently said that life is gonna get some looks on
- 9:31power play 1. He didn't commit to like life is
- 9:33gonna be power play 1 all year, but at the very least he's
- 9:35getting some shots at it. What I read into it was he's I
- 9:39feel like 80% chance laugh is on PP1 because he said like this is
- 9:43a player that is in the future of our team.
- 9:46They just paid him. And if you want a guide to have
- 9:48the best opportunity to succeed, he has to give him the best
- 9:51opportunity to succeed, right? And that's giving him the top
- 9:54end deployment. That's why he's going to be
- 9:56playing with a Panarin or JT Miller and be on that P1.
- 10:01I think you can't expect a guy to be, you know, have a breakout
- 10:05season if you're not even putting him on the top power
- 10:07play on the team. I think he's cemented on that
- 10:10top power play. I think it's between Zip and
- 10:12Trocheck now. Obviously, Trocheck might be the
- 10:15odd man out then. Yeah, it's definitely looking
- 10:17like Trojan is going to be the Ottoman out, which goes against
- 10:20what we've said throughout the off season of being so low on
- 10:23ZIB, still pretty low on ZIB, but it looks like he he's at
- 10:27least safe for now on that PP one spot unless he gets traded
- 10:30or something so. Yeah, well, that that is
- 10:32something that can happen. Zip could get traded and then
- 10:34both Trocheck and Laugh and powerfully 1.
- 10:36Yeah, or Cajun. Sure.
- 10:41Plot twist. There.
- 10:42That's a great. I'll, I'll tell you that he his
- 10:45value will increase, OK? Thank you.
- 10:46But I think I'm going to really late in drafts actually, if
- 10:49you're looking at Yahoo ADP like he's getting taken in a double
- 10:51digit rounds and this is a guy that's not getting priced in for
- 10:54being on the P1. So I think if your drafts have
- 10:57just happened, he's already in your squad or you're going into
- 11:00your drafts, I think you could be really excited if laugh is
- 11:03one of the last picks that you made.
- 11:06For sure, for sure. Alright, Koraga 2962 on Discord
- 11:12asked Lane. Hudson put up five shots on goal
- 11:14and two periods of the last preseason game.
- 11:16If he becomes a consistent shooter this year, how highly
- 11:18would he rank him among defensemen and what round would
- 11:20he take him in? To be fair, I, I, you know, he
- 11:23made more of a comment on Hudson and I was like, let's turn that
- 11:26into a question. But I think I think something
- 11:28interesting to talk about. Absolutely.
- 11:31I, I listen, if you watched this last preseason game, how can you
- 11:36not be excited about Lane Hudson and what he can do for your
- 11:39fantasy teams this year? The big question with him
- 11:42obviously is his category coverage is low.
- 11:45But you know, the talent that this kid has and last year, you
- 11:48know, we were disappointed with his shots because he wasn't
- 11:51really putting them on net, but he was like an assistant machine
- 11:54and a power play machine. I think he can do that again.
- 11:58It's only going to get better if he can start getting shots on
- 12:02net and just having that high, that high.
- 12:05We saw him do it in two periods last last night.
- 12:08If he can do that more consistently, he will be like a
- 12:12top five fantasy defenseman. He has like the macar ceiling in
- 12:15his range of outcomes. I'm not saying he's going to be
- 12:16the next Kalakar, but this is not.
- 12:19Necessarily this year, but yeah. Yeah, yeah, but he can do it
- 12:22like if he's getting 2.5 shots and .4 power play points and he
- 12:29can be the next item Fox, which is already a.
- 12:31High 2.5 shots here, better than Adam Fox.
- 12:33He was like 1.8 shots. No, honestly, that's such a huge
- 12:37thing, right? Let's say he never becomes this
- 12:40shooter because last year he didn't seem to be.
- 12:42Let's say he's one of those zero back cats guys.
- 12:44And even if he's like one of those points per game .4 power
- 12:46play points per game defenseman, it's such a cap on his value in
- 12:51bangors leagues because it's just hard to have a defenseman
- 12:53who doesn't touch any back categories in any significant
- 12:56way. If I mean, if he gets a 2.5 plus
- 12:59shots, then even without the hits and blocks, he becomes that
- 13:02archetype of like a Bouchard or Werenski or Hughes.
- 13:05Obviously in those cases, like with Bucharest, they're actually
- 13:08elite at shots. So it's less, you know, being
- 13:10just slightly good. I didn't actually.
- 13:11That's one of their pros. But yeah, like Quinn Hughes at
- 13:142.8 shots and point per game .4 power play points.
- 13:19That's that's the difference maker really is is can you
- 13:21combine being a points, a huge point stealing defenseman with
- 13:25having any sort of back at relevance And that's what turns
- 13:28you into one of those top five defensemen.
- 13:30Let's play a little game. Who had more blocks per game
- 13:32last year, Lane Hudson or Thomas Harley Hudson?
- 13:39Yeah, I mean, if if you're asking the question, I feel like
- 13:42it's, but if it be in based ignoring context, I would have
- 13:45guessed Harley. Alright, Hudson, Hudson or
- 13:49Bouchard? About the blocks.
- 13:52Yeah, more blocks per game. Bouchard.
- 13:55Yeah, Bouchard. Hudson.
- 13:58I'm gonna lean into this cause obviously you're only asking
- 13:59these cause of Hudson, but I'll go with.
- 14:01Hudson News. OK.
- 14:04I would go Hudson. I feel like he's does nothing.
- 14:06Fair, fair. Fine, fine.
- 14:07OK, now this one's obvious. Hudson or Dolly and.
- 14:10Daleen. Kevin.
- 14:13The way it's Hudson. 1.5 for Hudson, 1.34 for Julian.
- 14:19That's actually unreal. I think we just had the other
- 14:22guys are are block left and I expected yeah, but that just
- 14:27goes to show that the blocks are not one needs to change.
- 14:29It's the shots. It's the shots for him.
- 14:31So. Exactly.
- 14:32So that's part of it. Part of the comment question
- 14:35here is can he hit those four shots, five shots per game?
- 14:39No. But if he hovers around 2.5 with
- 14:42a 1.5 blocks, if it stays the same as last year .85 points.
- 14:47I mean this is this is serious business.
- 14:49He basically becomes. Top three rounds.
- 14:51For Bouchard Warenski combo, yeah he does.
- 14:54I would take him over Head men. I would definitely take him over
- 14:56to Chicken Adam Fox, Anderson. So it would become Kyle
- 14:59Mccarter, Queen Hughes, prolly Bouchard Warenski and then he's
- 15:03the 5th defenseman off the board.
- 15:05No, Dulling was ahead of him as well.
- 15:09You think so? It's just a different archetype.
- 15:11And maybe who knows if, if, if, if he's getting the shots,
- 15:14that's the that's the. But I will say, just because he
- 15:16put up five shots in a preseason game, don't expect that to.
- 15:20Yeah, yeah, yeah. For sure, for sure.
- 15:21But if you're all expecting to get more points or higher point
- 15:25per game pace than he did last year?
- 15:28Yeah, yeah, he's gonna be an unreal points guy.
- 15:30It's just if you can gain some relevance in the back hats, he
- 15:34becomes just so much more valuable.
- 15:35Yeah, Also six goals last year, that's nothing.
- 15:38It was 60 assists, but with how good the short look, that's very
- 15:41encouraging. If you have, you scored a goal.
- 15:43I was gonna say of those six goals like they were sick.
- 15:47Yeah, yeah, they were cool. But let's not forget he wasn't
- 15:50on P1 for the start of the season either.
- 15:52Yeah. Yeah, listen, he was never used
- 15:54as the one timer guy on the right side because he's a lefty,
- 15:57right? It was always about passing
- 15:58another line or Caulfield if he becomes the guy to take those
- 16:02shots, I mean. That is awesome.
- 16:03That's. So fun.
- 16:04And that could be a ridiculous, ridiculous pick this year.
- 16:08Yeah. Yeah.
- 16:09All right, let's fire off from some of our would you rathers.
- 16:14And with some, yeah, would you rather have pending try to do a
- 16:19cross position a little bit. And I picked some guys that have
- 16:23some context to them with some recent changes and whatnot.
- 16:27So I think it will be very valuable this part in the
- 16:29offseason when you're, you know, the regular season is about to
- 16:32start. But let's start off with the
- 16:33goalies. Would you rather Mackenzie
- 16:36Blackwood or Anthony Stolarz? OK, I will say that if you ask
- 16:42this a week ago, they would be so much further.
- 16:45Apart, I know. That's why I'm asking you,
- 16:46right? Now for the listeners who may
- 16:49not know the context, here's a bit of context on both sides.
- 16:51In terms of Blackwood, he's been kind of day-to-day, hasn't fully
- 16:54been playing, and there's a Wedgwood behind him who we know
- 16:58can take starts if he's injured. So that's the kind of questions
- 17:01with Blackwood. On the Stolar side, Wall has
- 17:03taken an indefinite leave of leave of absence.
- 17:06So indefinite could mean he's back by season start or can mean
- 17:09he's out for half the season. I don't know.
- 17:11Yeah, but still ours is definitely the guy.
- 17:12Wawa is gone and then still artist signed a what was it, 4
- 17:16year 3.75 mil contract. Exactly.
- 17:18And first of all, that's a huge deal.
- 17:20That's yeah, it is a certified leaves hater.
- 17:22I hate to see that, but you gotta put props where it's due.
- 17:25That's a really, really good contract for them.
- 17:27They just got shelled by the Canadians though in preseason.
- 17:30Yeah, pre season is like just for fun, but he was the same
- 17:34percentage leader I think of the past two seasons and you got to
- 17:37follow that money. I think that I've always said
- 17:39and always believe, despite all that, despite scholars rising in
- 17:43my rankings, like shooting up and black would drop me down a
- 17:46bit, I still think I have to go Blackwood.
- 17:48I think the loss of Marner makes Toronto not that 50 plus win
- 17:51team that we've seen in the past years.
- 17:54Jake had them ranked five. I think that's a bit low, but I
- 17:56don't think it's crazy. Whereas Colorado is easily
- 17:59finishing top three in their division and both goalies I like
- 18:02skillwise. So I'm still going Blackwood,
- 18:04but it's a lot closer. What are you not worried about
- 18:07Blackwoods? You know, injury history given
- 18:09he's already starting the season a little banged up.
- 18:11Like, are you not worried that he's?
- 18:13I'm dead crushed under worried about that.
- 18:14But I mean, it's not like scholars is the picture of
- 18:18health, right? He missed him like most of the
- 18:19season last year due to an injury.
- 18:21Yeah. And the same way that an injury
- 18:23can happen, antenna Blackwood wall could come back at anytime
- 18:25and turn stars into a tandem again.
- 18:27So I think I still go Blackwood, but like I said, it's a lot
- 18:30closer than it was a week ago. Yeah, there's also the the
- 18:34playoff schedule of it all that Colorado does have two more
- 18:36games than Toronto weeks 21 to 23, so I'm gonna go with
- 18:42Blackwood. However, these are all very
- 18:45interesting points that my burner account persona
- 18:48definitely appreciates. No, no, but but all kidding
- 18:52aside, it's a very it's a very discouraging thing if you're
- 18:58going to go 0G strategy, which all of us aspire to do to pick.
- 19:01Even though it worked really well for you to pick like a
- 19:04tandem guy where you can get based on the injury, based on
- 19:07the fact that wolves gone now these guys neck and neck almost,
- 19:10I would think right. Maybe the news won't catch up
- 19:14for when you're draft times are. Maybe if you're drafting in a
- 19:16week plus from now, it's gonna be a situation where you'll
- 19:19actually be able to get these guys other part value.
- 19:22But if I have, if I need a goalie, they're both on the
- 19:25board, I'm going Blackwood. I just think it's safer.
- 19:27And yeah, nothing wrong with taking strollers.
- 19:30I'm just more confident with Lockwood.
- 19:32How about you, Kevin? Give me give me solars.
- 19:37Wow. Give me a little scared of the
- 19:39injuries. That's gotta be the.
- 19:40I'm scared of the injuries and I think, I think just dollars
- 19:43still gonna ride him and I'm not as low on as other people as are
- 19:48on this Toronto team. So that's the end of the next 1
- 19:51though. My next one, let's talk about
- 19:53pure seeds cause I'm going Sam Bennett versus Nazem Kadri.
- 19:58Easy to meet. Easy, easy bad.
- 20:01Yeah, OK. Given the bar code for you guys
- 20:04are yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:06Now, he's never really proven to be like an amazing #1 see, on a
- 20:09team, but what he did in the playoffs is just so crazy.
- 20:12And it's not like Florida is going to be bad, but they may
- 20:16just be more in contention for the playoffs as opposed to a
- 20:18shoe in which I really like. Does it, if I, if I put like
- 20:22Dylan Larkin, was that closer for you guys?
- 20:25Yeah. That's definitely a closer.
- 20:27I still think Bennett, Barca. The only person I think benefits
- 20:33really from Barkov being injured is Bennett.
- 20:35I think it makes the rest of the team so much worse.
- 20:37Like I'm looking like a guy like Reinhart way, way lower on him
- 20:39after that, Bobrovsky lower on him after that.
- 20:42Anyone else on that power play 1 lower?
- 20:44But Bennett I don't think was going to make power play 1.
- 20:46And now to me he's almost a lock on power play 1.
- 20:48Even though Florida's been a bit key, they haven't really
- 20:51released a their stuff in the first season yet so we're not
- 20:53sure. But I don't see how he's not
- 20:55when he's now the number 1C he gets to play with Reinhart.
- 20:57He was already a bangers beast and Pimm's shots hits face off
- 21:01wins. So I'm super high on him.
- 21:03I definitely I definitely could see taking him above ADP.
- 21:06I was going to say, I think at this point he's going to go
- 21:09above ADP in almost every league that hasn't drafted yet, so it's
- 21:12gonna be interesting to see who's willing to take him where.
- 21:15Yeah, exactly. Who's gonna Who's willing to
- 21:16bite the bullet on him the earliest?
- 21:19Alright, so let's get into the next one.
- 21:21Carter Verhaeghe or Pavel Dora Afev.
- 21:25That's a really good one cause they're like such similar
- 21:27situations. Both of them are question mark
- 21:29on power play 1 and a lot of their value is tied into that
- 21:33power play spot. I'm going to go with I think
- 21:35Verhage has a clearer shot to power play one because of all
- 21:39the entries. But Despite that I'm still going
- 21:41to receive over him. I think Florida just the
- 21:43management just hates for Hagie. I don't know why.
- 21:45I don't know what he did to them, but I would not be
- 21:48surprised if even with these injuries he's not power play 1
- 21:50and Dorff has elite shots and I think even if he doesn't start
- 21:54the season partly one at some point he'll crack it.
- 21:56He put up 35 goals last year. I'm I'm going to our fav.
- 21:59Because we saw barbershop kind of get a crack at that line of
- 22:02one people, one for the moment while Dorothy, I think it has a
- 22:04nagging injury. Yeah, he's day-to-day with some
- 22:06tweak or something. So interesting to see how the
- 22:09deployment shakes out. Rahegi though, given, you know,
- 22:12no contract, no Barkov, there's, you know, the mouths to feed
- 22:16kind of rise up in the on the depth chart, right.
- 22:18So he definitely gets a better opportunity now at some success
- 22:22and some production, yeah. Yeah, I'm gonna go Dora, FEV, a
- 22:26lot more volatility there, but I do think the ceiling is higher.
- 22:28I think I like pair I I've seen him do it in the past.
- 22:33I think now he's set up for success like he has the
- 22:35opportunity to deployment. He could even be trade bait too,
- 22:37like they consider trading him. So all right, next one, let's
- 22:42talk about right wingers Jonathan Marchessault or Brock
- 22:46Besser. I'm going to go better.
- 22:49Nice. Yeah, it's very fair.
- 22:52I think the reason Besser is because Vancouver has a real
- 22:57solid possibility for a bounce back much more clearly that I
- 23:01can see in my mind than Nashville.
- 23:03So it's just a simple case of a team that's going to score more,
- 23:08whereas I think there are similar archetype.
- 23:10I'm more confident so shots. I don't really particularly want
- 23:13Besser on my team. That being said, he's kind of
- 23:16their second best forward now. So if they're gonna score, it's
- 23:19huge. Patterson and Besser that are
- 23:22gonna have a huge chunk of happy.
- 23:24Yeah, for me, I'm going March. So mainly because of the back
- 23:27cats. Like I'm confident Marshall can
- 23:29get three shots and a hit per game, whereas best I don't see
- 23:32him getting anything in the hits department and I see him more as
- 23:35a two shots guy. So I think that's a big
- 23:36difference. And then I think both teams are
- 23:39in similar spots. They both are in do for some
- 23:42sort of positive regression. That's definitely more
- 23:44talismanic for Vancouver than Marsha, so is for Nashville.
- 23:48But I think the back hatch makes me more comfortable.
- 23:50Like if better is not putting up points, I don't want him on my
- 23:52team. But if Marcel is not putting up
- 23:53points, we still doing three shots in a hit, then it's not as
- 23:56desperate to drop him. I'm also leaning kind of better
- 23:59just because I feel like there's more upside there.
- 24:02I feel like Vancouver as a whole, we can see a bounce back
- 24:04and then not be as bad as we all think.
- 24:06Obviously that's still a possibility for Nashville as
- 24:08well, but you kind of feel they're more of like a known
- 24:11commodity in terms of like they're stealing being capped.
- 24:13Whereas, you know, if Peterson bounces back on Vancouver and
- 24:17Besser is tied to him, I can see them both having like prolific
- 24:20seasons much more over like ADP projections than what Nashville
- 24:24is expected. So I think I'm leaning better
- 24:26but it's pretty close to me. Yeah, that's a good one.
- 24:28Alright, what's the last one? Last one talking defenseman.
- 24:31You're our boy Lane Hudson or Josh Morrissey.
- 24:36Wow, that's a that's kind of a spicy one.
- 24:39I'm just gonna go, I'm gonna go home or I'm going to my boy
- 24:41Lane. Especially after Jake, you
- 24:42mentioned those blocks. I'm like, OK, blocks.
- 24:45Potentially you could improve his shots.
- 24:47His team around him just got way better.
- 24:49Morrissey, in my mind last season was his ceiling, right?
- 24:51Because that was the best. Thing in PowerPoint.
- 24:54Yeah, they they have only down to go and Hudson has only up to
- 24:57go. So Jimmy Hudson.
- 24:59Yeah, he also had more blocks than Morrissey, by the way.
- 25:02So there's that and the there, there's just a it's it's the
- 25:07team and it's also the player. Hudson is so young and has
- 25:09already been so incredible that I think that there's a certain
- 25:14tier that Hudson is going to reach this year that Morrissey
- 25:17is just not good enough to get to.
- 25:19I know it's bold to say because he has been really great.
- 25:21I mean, he's 76 and 78 games two years ago was sick, but I think
- 25:26Hudson's just a better player in the hubs are going to be
- 25:29amazing, so I'm gonna go outside.
- 25:31I'm also going to Hudson. I think comparing these two kind
- 25:34of gives you more of like a what does it burden the hand and the
- 25:38stone? What is it?
- 25:40You're just spitting feathers at this point.
- 25:43Yeah, I did it on purpose. But yeah, I think Morrissey, we
- 25:46saw like, you know, known, known commodity on a Winnipeg power
- 25:50play that was, you know, amazing last year.
- 25:52The best some would say. And the Hudson kind of up and
- 25:56coming we know has a high ceiling.
- 25:58I I'm going Hudson as well. It's just too exciting.
- 26:00And I think for where you're where you can draft them, I give
- 26:02me the upside. I like it.
- 26:04We end on a point that we agree on.
