- 0:57sporting headlines this week with DIPAM.
- 0:58Thank you. Thank you Ramesh, good evening
- 1:01and these are your sporting headlines around the region this

- 2:23that took part. Led by Kayleigh Longfoot, Yaksi
- 2:26runners were winning ladies team in the Sawtry 10 Mile Road race.
- 2:30Longfoot finished second individually in a time of one
- 2:33hour 8 minutes and 7 seconds behind ladies winner Claire
- 2:36Thurgood of the Cambridge and Coleridge Athletics Club who
- 2:39clocked a time of one hour 6 minutes and 5 seconds.
- 2:43Ellie Picover and Abby Branston provided strong support,
- 2:46finishing 6th and 7th with times of one hour 13 and 9 seconds and
- 2:51one hour 13 and 32 seconds respectively.
- 2:53Vanessa Gunn, Claire Pearcy and Bianca Barletta, also
- 2:56representing Yaxi, completed scoring within the top 20.
- 3:00Patrick Venturan and friend of the show Steve Hope has earned a
- 3:04second Great Britain team call up in just a fortnight.
- 3:07Hope built on his recent success in a Sprint Marrick triathlon by
- 3:10finishing fourth in his age group at the Fleet Standard
- 3:13Distance Triathlon near Aberdeen.
- 3:16In weightlifting, up and coming city weightlifter Samuel Ward
- 3:19claimed A commendable bronze medal at the British
- 3:22Weightlifting Championships in Birmingham.
- 3:24Overcoming a serious injury he sustained in April.
- 3:27The 20 year old had already demonstrated his national
- 3:29credentials by winning gold in the 67 kilograms category last
- 3:33year's championship. Moving up a heavier class in
- 3:362025, Ward impressed again in February by securing silver at
- 3:40the English National Championships on his first
- 3:42attempt in the under 79 kilograms category.
- 3:47In boxing, three young boxers from the Peterborough Police
- 3:49Club returned from the Bar and Box Club in North Devon with a
- 3:52medal each. Kian Aragosa, 15 years old, won
- 3:56gold at 52 kilogram kilograms, dominating Billy Peck in the
- 3:59final. Ali Jan Raja, 13, took silver at
- 4:0253 kilograms after a narrow points defeat to a more
- 4:06experienced Rocco Slade and Sophia Harish earned bronze,
- 4:09narrowly losing to national champion Valeria Celska in a
- 4:14semi final. Bare Knuckle Boxing City man and
- 4:17former guest of the show Martin Raphael came up came just short
- 4:21of his bare knuckle boxing challenge on Saturday night.
- 4:23The 38 year old from Alton was outpointed by by over over 5
- 4:28rounds by James Connolly, a pound for pound top ten fighter.
- 4:32Two judges had Connolly winning by a single point while the
- 4:35third gave him all 5 rounds. Raphael, who lost a world title
- 4:39challenge in his previous fight, accepted the verdict without
- 4:41complaint. In bowls, Peterborough Bowls
- 4:44League season has ended with Parkway A and Wittery Manor
- 4:46dominating. Pkwy A won the midweek Premier
- 4:49title unbeaten in 16 matches, while Wittery Manor Buzzards
- 4:52claim the Club 55 Premier crown for the 4th consecutive year,
- 4:57losing just once. And to finish off with football,
- 5:00Peterborough United remain winless after 7 league matches
- 5:03this season following a narrow 3 to defeat the Huddersfield Town
- 5:06on Saturday. It was a much improved display
- 5:08from Posh, who took the lead early in the second-half through
- 5:10Jimmy J Morgan, but Huddersfield hit back with three goals to
- 5:13turn the contest on his head before Kian Hayes struck a late
- 5:17consolation deep into stoppage time.
- 5:19Darren Ferguson side will be now hoping to claim their first
- 5:22victory when host when they host the Wigan Wanderers at the
- 5:25Western Home Stadium tomorrow. Meanwhile, chairman Darren
- 5:28McCartney revealed on his Hard Truth podcast that defender
- 5:31Oscar Whalen had returned to his homeland Sweden after apparently
- 5:34refusing to return to the club. Mcanthony added that Whalen is
- 5:38dealing with a personal matter and stresses that the
- 5:42relationship remains amicable and both parties are working
- 5:45towards a fair outcome. Peter United Women suffered
- 5:48their second defeat in the FA Cup group stage, going down to
- 5:51one at home to county rivals Cambridge United.
- 5:54The Posh Women look to bounce back on Sunday when they host
- 5:56Sheffield FC at Pyms Park in their next league fixture.
- 6:01It has been an emotional at an eventful week at Peterborough
- 6:02Sports, who partied company with management duo Luke Steele and
- 6:05Michael Gash on Wednesday. The decision followed the
- 6:07Tuesday night defeat to Wellingborough Town by three
- 6:10goals to one in the North Ham Senior Cup.
- 6:13The Turbines have moved fast to find their successor by
- 6:15appointing former Hull City, Derby County and Bolton
- 6:18Wanderers manager Phil Brown as their new manager.
- 6:20Brown will take charge of his first Peterborough sports match
- 6:22tomorrow when they host Hornchurch in the FA Cup second
- 6:25qualifying round. And Nigel was there during this
- 6:28week as events unfolded. Nigel, give us a bit of rundown
- 6:31because I know it was quite a, well, I say quite an eventful
- 6:35moment and you're in a thick of it.
- 6:36There was an amazing week, lots of happening at the club and a
- 6:41really big opportunity for the club.
- 6:44Now I think to to push on really.
- 6:46It's a very brave appointment and no doubt a very expensive
- 6:52one for the club, but you know the right one to make.
- 6:55I think it's the right time that that Luke and Kashi went.
- 7:00Everything's really amicable. Tim's on record as saying it's
- 7:03the hardest the decision he's ever had to make.
- 7:06That's in his football career and his business career.
- 7:09So All in all, lots going on, Very emotional week at the club,
- 7:15but tremendous excitement now. Like you say, Hornchurch in the
- 7:20cup tomorrow, that is a massive game.
- 7:23It was big anyway. It's now massive.
- 7:26I think Tim's given Phil Brown the narrative that he wants a
- 7:30cup run, as all chairmen do. Yeah.
- 7:34So the pressures on Phil Brown and he met the players last
- 7:38night up at the club again, there was emotions running high
- 7:42because, you know, some of the the players hadn't got together
- 7:46since Luke and Gashi departed. So lots going on, but tremendous
- 7:51opportunity now that that I think the club actually deserve
- 7:56a lot of credit for the way they've dealt with stuff because
- 8:00they've they really dealt with it sensitively.
- 8:03The story was leaked. It made the national press, I
- 8:07think the Sun run with it online.
- 8:10That was before the club had announced Phil's arrival, so
- 8:14it's probably the worst kept secret since Bailey McCann.
- 8:19But it was, you know, the club dealt with it really, really
- 8:23well. They they, it was emotional with
- 8:25Luke and Gashi going. The situation with Gashi is that
- 8:28he's staying on as a player. Obviously he's got his injury
- 8:32which chatting with him last night and you know, he sees that
- 8:36as as probably 3 months before we're going to see him on the
- 8:39pitch again. But he's still there as a player
- 8:43really wanted to stay involved. He has got a relationship with
- 8:47with Phil Brown. So Phil's really keen to to keep
- 8:51him on. The rest of the backroom stuff
- 8:53are also have the opportunities to stay on.
- 8:56Phil has brought someone with him, but Tim really and and Tim
- 9:01was on social media today just stressing that, you know,
- 9:04they've all got the chance to, to stay on and it's up to them
- 9:07really whether they do and it's up to them to work with Phil.
- 9:09So amazing times, exciting times.
- 9:12Well, Phil said that in his interview with yourself that
- 9:14you, that you put on our socials that he's, he's left the door
- 9:17open for everybody. He's come in, yes, he's got his
- 9:19own ideas and, and, and what he wants to do.
- 9:21However, everyone stands a chance of continuing to work
- 9:24with him. Yeah, yeah.
- 9:25And in terms of man of his word, you know so and and Phil said
- 9:29that in his his speech to the players when he met them last
- 9:32night, This is an opportunity for everyone to move on.
- 9:35He and he said, he said in to the players like when I bought
- 9:41teams here, when he bought Kidderminster Harriers to Pyms
- 9:44Park, he said nobody gets an easy game here and that has
- 9:48disappeared somewhat this season and and sports are making it too
- 9:53easy for players for teams visiting Pyms Park.
- 9:58So that's the first thing he wants to address, and he wants
- 10:01to make that fortress again. That's quite a statement
- 10:05signing, isn't it, Phil Brown? Does that raise expectations
- 10:08levels now though? Then shows Tim's ambition for
- 10:12Peterborough sports, not just this season but going forward.
- 10:16I think it shows Tim's commitment to the club.
- 10:21This was year three of a three-year plan, as we've
- 10:23discussed when we've had them on the show before.
- 10:26And you know, the year 3 of that plan has has really not started
- 10:31very well at all. But when you look back at at
- 10:34plans for clubs there, there's often a year where it steps back
- 10:38and stuff holds. So I don't think there's any
- 10:41what what for me, this just sort of signifies how important Tim
- 10:47feels that sports is in his life.
- 10:50And I think he wants to to move on from that three-year plan.
- 10:54Now there's obviously going to talk to Phil about another plan,
- 10:59but you know that that's, you know, that's no different from
- 11:02what happens at other clubs. And it just shows how serious
- 11:05Tim is. That's.
- 11:06Great to hear what a week it's been at Peterborough Sports then
- 11:09and you can catch. Up on the interviews that Nigel
- 11:12conducted this week, both with Luke Steele and Phil Brown, the

- 14:57again. And our guests this evening are
- 15:00Peter Frost, Women's head coach, and Emma Harley, who plays for
- 15:05the Peterborough Womens''s Rugby Club here.
- 15:08And you're affiliated to Peterborough UFC, the men's
- 15:11side, just to give you a little bit of background there.
- 15:14But welcome Harley Frosty, welcome to PCR SPORTS.
- 15:20Thank you. Thank you for having.
- 15:21Us, not a problem, right? Where should we start?
- 15:23There's so much going on in women's rugby at the moment,
- 15:25isn't there? We've got the World Cup, the Red
- 15:27Roses are flying there through to the quarterfinals.
- 15:29But let's start with yourselves, first of all, in terms of how
- 15:33you came into the game and women's rugby itself.
- 15:37Harley. Yeah.
- 15:38What's your background? What drew you to women's rugby?
- 15:41Yeah, I think I was watching the Men, Six Nations, one, I think
- 15:442023 and I was watching it thinking I quite like to have a
- 15:48have a go at that. I feel a bit adventurous and so
- 15:51I googled women's rugby Peterborough and the address for
- 15:56the club came up and he said give it a go, come down on a
- 15:58Tuesday and so I went down and yeah, been there ever since.
- 16:02And you haven't looked back. No, have not looked back.
- 16:04Regretted it a few times but. When you say regretted it, what
- 16:08we talking the tackles? Yeah, on a Monday after after a
- 16:10game, right? Questioned my choices.
- 16:12But no, no, I love it. I do.
- 16:14Does that include cold, cold training sessions as well during
- 16:17the winter, yeah. Like we had last night in the
- 16:19rain that, yeah, would have washed away the ark.
- 16:21So yeah, it is good fun fun. Games cracking stuff frosty.
- 16:26Come on in. Your head coach?
- 16:27Yep. What are the women like?
- 16:30What the girls like on a training night.
- 16:32Ohh wow, that's a lot of questions.
- 16:33Careful what you say can. Be right in trouble?
- 16:36No, it's some. Yeah, it's good.
- 16:39We've got a squad there actually, that's got everything
- 16:41from people like Harley and even people that are newer as well.
- 16:44We've got some people who turned up two weeks ago who who are
- 16:47part of the squad and training. And then we've got others who
- 16:50have been there since one of the first ever training sessions
- 16:52that women did, like sort of 30 years ago.
- 16:54So yeah, massive, massive, different breadths of abilities,
- 16:59experience, everything else. But yeah, they're not a bad bun.
- 17:04They're paying attention. You mentioned 30 years there, so
- 17:08women's rugby at Fengate has been going for about 30 years
- 17:12there. Yeah, Well, yeah, we believe
- 17:14this. This is the 30th year that the
- 17:16women's team has been up and running.
- 17:17So and we've got a little sort of social media campaign to try
- 17:21and do 30 things for this year, sort of for the 30th year and
- 17:25things. But yeah, we lastly, we still
- 17:26have at least one player who was on one of those original
- 17:29training sessions. She's still playing and she's a
- 17:32machine as well, isn't she? So she's.
- 17:34Yeah. Bringing it back up to sort of
- 17:37modern day then let's have a look at the last five years,
- 17:39shall we? Seeing some great success from
- 17:43the club itself. You've not been at the club that
- 17:46long in itself, but as a club itself it's had some great
- 17:49success with a couple of promotions in the last five
- 17:51years. Yeah, absolutely.
- 17:52So yeah, I've, I've only been there since January and prior to
- 17:55that I was down at Bedford Blues.
- 17:57But we were always sort of a season behind Peterborough.
- 17:59So we, we, it felt like we'd come into a league, they would
- 18:02win the league and then get promoted and then we'd get
- 18:04promoted the next year, come into league and then they'd win
- 18:06the league and, and get promoted ahead of us again.
- 18:08So. So you thought this would be the
- 18:09way of catching them up by moving clubs?
- 18:11Yeah, just sort of cut out the middle man, I guess.
- 18:13Just just leap straight into it. But yeah, so yeah, they've,
- 18:18they've had some great success and, and thoroughly deserved
- 18:20actually, because as a squad, their ability and, and
- 18:23everything else has has gone to, you know, last year we went
- 18:26unbeaten across the whole league.
- 18:28You know, you don't, you don't lock your way to that.
- 18:30That's from hard work and and determination and and doing
- 18:34things right. How many games is that Harley
- 18:36then if you're unbeaten last season in the league?
- 18:38Testing your knowledge here, thankfully.
- 18:39No one's here to correct me. Is it 11 games, 10 or 11 games?
- 18:43Yeah. I want to say think about that
- 18:45slight slightly more possibly, but yeah.
- 18:49But some great success there to go unbeaten throughout the
- 18:52season. Yeah, and I mean, anyone who's
- 18:54ever been involved in teams sort of tell you when you get to the
- 18:56halfway point and you're unbeaten, everybody wants a
- 18:58chunk. Of you.
- 18:59They're gunning for you, aren't they?
- 19:00Yeah, so, so the sides that we were turning up and playing from
- 19:02Christmas onwards, you know, they, they were after us, they
- 19:05were after that, you know, to try and take that unbeaten run
- 19:08away away from us. So yeah, it almost gets harder
- 19:11because you're beaten and then as the added pressure as you get
- 19:13towards the end of the season of yeah of trying to maintain that
- 19:16and and those things as. Well, so you've got quite a
- 19:18mantle now then taking on the women's head coach role.
- 19:21Yeah. Not to put any pressure on.
- 19:24Yeah, thanks. Yeah, yeah, at the highest level
- 19:27they've ever been as well. So we are in rugby terms, Tier
- 19:303. So which is the equivalent of
- 19:32what Posh play at. So, you know, is in if Posh got
- 19:35promoted twice, they'd be in the Premiership.
- 19:37If we got promoted twice, we'd be in the Premiership.
- 19:39So, yeah, you know, we're, we're at a really good standard of
- 19:43rugby now. I mean, these these women are
- 19:44going to be playing against the stars of the next World Cup.
- 19:48You know, The Who are coming through the ranks now.
- 19:50That's that's where their their battlegrounds are right now.
- 19:53So yeah, no doubt in four years, Tom, we'll be watching the next
- 19:57World Cup thinking. Hold on, we recognise a couple
- 19:59of them. And that's not to say they might
- 20:00be not somebody from our own women's side with the potential.
- 20:04Next to you, Frosty. The ambitions there, which is
- 20:08great to see from that perspective.
- 20:10And, and we actually have at least one of our players in an
- 20:12under 23 squad for a Premiership side as well.
- 20:15So unfortunately it's less the Tigers which hurts me being in
- 20:18Northampton. Saints, right.
- 20:19OK. Yeah.
- 20:21So, so the the pathways are being built and again, that's
- 20:23something that the club of have sort of pushed onto US for the
- 20:26for this year as. Well, and the success that
- 20:27you've had, that's obviously drawn attention from the Prem
- 20:30clubs, for example, to come and have a look at the players that
- 20:34you've got and that you're developing through your system.
- 20:37Yeah, we, we hear murmurings of, of that and again, it's about
- 20:39trying to extend out and and make those connections to those
- 20:42coaches. But as well there is that when
- 20:45they turn up for trials and things, because that's still
- 20:47happens to women's rugby, you can go along to trials at
- 20:50Premiership clubs, they might hold them up once or twice in
- 20:53the summer, but immediately they'll ask you where you play
- 20:56and and what level is that And you have to be at, you know, the
- 20:59level that that we're playing at now to, to even get your foot in
- 21:01the door normally so. So what?
- 21:03What brought you to the club then?
- 21:04What brought you to this area? Yeah, so I'd I'd moved up to
- 21:07Lincolnshire from from Bedford, so obviously couldn't couldn't
- 21:10travel down, select the club. And then the former head coach
- 21:14just got in touch with me and I'd worked with him before and
- 21:16said look, do you fancy coming on board and need some support
- 21:19here? That was in January.
- 21:21I thought, well, yeah, why not? He actually said to me they make
- 21:23cake. But that's the incentive.
- 21:26That was part of the contract, was it?
- 21:28I don't. Think I've had cake twice so
- 21:31somewhat mis sold on that. What's your favorite cake?
- 21:34Black Forest Gateau. OK, so Harley, the players need
- 21:37to get together and make sure that I.
- 21:38Mean we have cake OK, probably might not be invited, but we.
- 21:41Have OH. There's there's something about
- 21:44cake and women's sport in the city because you're, I think
- 21:46you're the third club that's been on where the women's side
- 21:49have cake involved. The men's side should learn from
- 21:51that, I think, because that's going to go a long way towards
- 21:54getting some of these results you're talking about.
- 21:56Definitely, absolutely. Yeah.
- 21:57And you'll think about. It so you're settling in, then
- 21:59you're making you feel welcome. Yeah, definitely, yeah.
- 22:02And you know, it's it's been a brilliant pre season.
- 22:06We've worked really hard, you know, loads of brand new
- 22:09structures and plays and and things, trying to keep some of
- 22:13the old stuff, enough of the old stuff that we just build on it,
- 22:16but also introducing some new stuff to to make it appropriate
- 22:19for the level that we're going up to and things.
- 22:21But yeah, they look, they look really sharp, I've got to say
- 22:24that. So, preseasons gone Well, the
- 22:27new kit looks resplendent. Yeah, and you're ready to kick
- 22:32off next weekend. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:34So next weekend, old Albanians twos at home, they are probably
- 22:39the best side in the league. So yeah, it'll it'll certainly
- 22:43be an adventure and we'll see where we're at, see where we're
- 22:46at after that match. OK, what days do you play your
- 22:49games? What?
- 22:49When do they kick off? Yeah.
- 22:51So next weekend it's Sundays, normally Sunday afternoon.
- 22:54And depending on time of year it's it's either 2 somewhere
- 22:58between 2:00 and 3:00. But next weekend it's 2:00 or
- 23:023:00 I. Think it's 2:30?
- 23:03Come on coach, you've got to be setting the example for the the
- 23:07women here to be on time. I live my life 24 hours at a
- 23:09time but. On on a serious on a serious.
- 23:14I've got two months. Thankfully someone's here that
- 23:16knows their stuff. We are playing at 2:00. 2:00 a
- 23:22week on Sunday at Fortress Friend Gate as it's as it's
- 23:25named from that perspective. Harley with the games being on
- 23:28Sunday, quiet Saturday nights then.
- 23:31Yeah, yeah. For everyone who's listening.
- 23:33Yeah, for sure. Yeah, yeah.
- 23:35Definitely what What does a week look like then from a player's
- 23:38perspective, leading into a game on a Sunday?
- 23:40When do you train? What's the sort of lead up to a
- 23:43game? Yeah, so we train Tuesdays and
- 23:46Thursday evenings and so we'll kind of do loads and loads of
- 23:51match prep, so like scenarios and game plays and getting us
- 23:54ready. But you know, kind of game head
- 23:57mindset starts from that that Tuesday evening really, you
- 24:01know, we're thinking about it. And for sure from the Friday
- 24:04heads on switched on so that when you turn up ready to warm
- 24:07up on Sunday, we we we don't have to get ready.
- 24:10We're yeah, we're already ready because we've been gearing up
- 24:12for it. So obviously going through the
- 24:14training, you know, the set plays, the moves that Frosty
- 24:18would like you to see implement in in games effectively, but you
- 24:21talked about the the mental side of the game as well.
- 24:24That's just as important, no doubt, to be in the right frame
- 24:27of mind to play such a physical contact game.
- 24:30Yeah, 100% it is. It's mostly mental to be honest.
- 24:34We all love rugby and we all have so much fun playing rugby.
- 24:38But there, yeah, there is a mental aspect to the game.
- 24:41You know, anyone can kind of have a runabout, but to keep
- 24:42your structure and to keep disciplined and keep everyone in
- 24:45check and, you know, kind of tap your mate when they're flagging
- 24:47a little bit and out of breath and stuff, it's yeah, it's all
- 24:49up there. Yeah, squad size, Frosty.
- 24:53What you're looking at 30 odd players. 40 odd players.
- 24:55I know, yeah, mid 40s at the moment, which is phenomenal.
- 25:00You need roughly twice as many as you think you need.
- 25:02OK, So yeah, yeah. And and that's just because of,
- 25:07you know, they, they work and. And they yeah, of course, work
- 25:10commitments and yeah. And all that sort of stuff.
- 25:12So yeah, you you need 45 really to to run on the squad.
- 25:16And what sort of age groups are we looking at here?
- 25:18How young can they be? Or is it aging A barrier
- 25:22effectively? Yes, so we've got some of the
- 25:24under eighteens who come in and train with us.
- 25:26We've got people who are 1819 all the way up into their 50s.
- 25:31Wow so real cross section of experience as well as the the
- 25:34youth there as well to help bring you along.
- 25:37Definitely. And it's probably one of the,
- 25:39the differences that you'll see in women's sport compared to
- 25:43men's sport in my experiences is in men's sport, you wouldn't
- 25:45necessarily go and take up a sport like rugby in your 40s.
- 25:48People would look at you and think you're, you're a little
- 25:50bit crazy. But in women's sport it becomes
- 25:53because of, of lifestyle and things, it becomes a point where
- 25:56they can now take up that sport. So it feels like to, to me, my
- 26:00experience is that we get a lot more women join in later on in
- 26:04life compared to in men's sports.
- 26:06Brilliant, right? We just can take a short break.
- 26:08But on the back of that we'll find out how women girls can get
- 26:11involved in rugby, then at People Women's Rugby Club.
- 26:14Amazing. Playing the greatest songs of
- 26:18all time for Peterborough Peterborough PCR FM.

- 28:46You're listening to PCR. Sports.
- 28:54Welcome back. This is the PCR Sports Show and
- 28:57thank you for your company this evening.
- 28:58We're here every Friday 6 till 7 bringing you the latest Sporting
- 29:03News from in and around our city of Peterborough.
- 29:07Tonight is no different. We've had some headlines earlier
- 29:09covering hockey, ice hockey, football, cricket, athletics and
- 29:15the subject this evening that we're discussing is Peterborough
- 29:18women's rugby. And in the studio we've got with
- 29:21us Peter Frost, who goes by the name of Frosty, he's asked me to
- 29:26say, and then Emma Harley, who goes by the name of Harley,
- 29:29certainly to a friend. So we feel comfortable from that
- 29:32perspective that they've allowed us to call them that this
- 29:34evening. But yeah, so we're talking
- 29:36women's rugby this evening and Peterborough.
- 29:39At women's rugby, they play their games at Fengate, where
- 29:43Peterborough RUFC are based. And just before the break there
- 29:48we were talking about the club and the growth of the game and
- 29:53the number of players that. Needed as well and frosty.
- 29:56So if anybody is thinking of taking up women's rugby, what do
- 29:59they have to do? How do they get involved?
- 30:01Yeah, OK, so First things first, as I would say is do it.
- 30:05Please just come along, just bring a pair of trainers, some
- 30:10naff bottoms and AT shirt and just turn up and and we'll we'll
- 30:14teach you everything that you need to know.
- 30:16So, so we just need you there for first of all.
- 30:18But look, we've got everything or all the age grades we've got
- 30:22touch rugby, we've got obviously a full contact rugby or
- 30:26traditional 15 inside rugby. So I'll, I'll just say get in
- 30:30touch with us through our social media, go onto our website, drop
- 30:33us an e-mail. Just just get in contact.
- 30:36We'll find you the right person to talk to.
- 30:38You know, if it's like age, age grade, for example, we'll get
- 30:40you the coach for the age grade to get in contact with you or,
- 30:44or we'll we'll assign someone to you to meet you on the day to
- 30:46bring you up onto the so you know where we train and things
- 30:49like that. So yeah, just get in touch with
- 30:51us across any of the socials through our website and and
- 30:54we'll go from there. So whether you're school age or
- 30:56somebody a little bit older, there's opportunities there for
- 30:59you to take part at whatever level you feel comfortable at.
- 31:03Yeah. Yeah, definitely do do what I
- 31:06did. Just turn up there and someone
- 31:08will tell you where to go, what to do, what to tackle and try to
- 31:12tackle anyway. Yeah, opportunities for
- 31:14literally everyone. No matter what your motivations
- 31:17are, what level you want to play at, come down.
- 31:19And is that how you got involved with Peterborough women's rugby?
- 31:22Yeah, yeah, as I say, literally Googled it, found the address
- 31:25and and went down after work one day, sort of stood around
- 31:29aimlessly waiting for someone to kind of point me in the right
- 31:31direction, bumped into someone and then, yeah, showed me where
- 31:34they train. And yeah, that's where I've been
- 31:36ever since. Yeah.
- 31:37And is that on Tuesdays and Thursdays, that's when the women
- 31:40train? Yeah.
- 31:41Tuesdays and Thursdays 7 till half 8.
- 31:43OK. And that's down at Fengate, but
- 31:45from a juniors perspective, I guess there's different nights
- 31:48for that Frosty. Yeah, absolutely.
- 31:49Yeah. Different age grades will train
- 31:51all all through the week and then they tend to play their
- 31:53matches on a Sunday. So, and some of them as well are
- 31:56a a sort of merge with other clubs if they're sort of short
- 32:00on numbers. So they may for example, I think
- 32:02I'm age grade girls have yeah have a really good relationship
- 32:05with Steve. And so they'll train one week at
- 32:07Steve and then one week at Peterborough and and swap around
- 32:10that way as. Well, and that's makes it very
- 32:12accessible then, doesn't it? From a travel perspective, you
- 32:14know, it might not be easy for somebody to get down from that
- 32:17area into Peterborough and vice versa.
- 32:19So you're actually going out into the community to offer
- 32:22sport effectively and an opportunity just to.
- 32:26Keep fit, you know, and play something that.
- 32:28You enjoy? Yeah, absolutely.
- 32:29And I think it would be worthwhile if, if, if, if you're
- 32:32interested in this, it'd be worthwhile keeping an eye on our
- 32:34social media and things because throughout this year we do have
- 32:37a lot of things planned where we're basically going out to
- 32:39other rugby clubs to run training sessions.
- 32:41We'll be running like rug rugby fitness boot camps just after
- 32:44Christmas. So.
- 32:45So we've got a lot going on where we'll be in different
- 32:48parts of of Peterborough and the surrounding areas, not just down
- 32:52at Fengate. So really getting out into the
- 32:53community this season certainly to spread the word and the
- 32:57opportunities that are available for girls and and women to play
- 33:00rugby. Yeah, and take advantage of the
- 33:02World Cup being here, right and. Perfect segue.
- 33:05That was going to be the next question, Harley.
- 33:08I mean, how well are the red roses doing at the moment?
- 33:11Amazing. Yeah, really amazing.
- 33:13So good to watch, so inspiring. And you already see so many more
- 33:16people coming through and wanting to get involved and
- 33:19whether it's just watching or playing or just coming down to
- 33:21watch training. So yeah, it's been really good.
- 33:23And you had a watch party at the start of the tournament, didn't
- 33:26you? Yeah.
- 33:26Yeah, we did, which is really well received and I think we
- 33:29are, this might be an exclusive so, but no one from the social
- 33:32media teams here tell me off. So I think we are planning
- 33:34another one. So that was against the USA.
- 33:38Yeah. On a Friday evening, Yeah,
- 33:41Friday evening. But the Roses play up against
- 33:43Scotland in the quarterfinals on Sunday, Yeah?
- 33:46Buzzing. Looking forward to it.
- 33:47So you're starting your game. What is it 2:00?
- 33:50Did you say on and then the women are playing it?
- 33:54Is it 4 or half four? I think it's.
- 33:55So we're the week. After.
- 33:57Ah, sorry. Yes, you are, aren't you?
- 33:58Yeah, sorry. You're next weekend, aren't you?
- 33:59So that's perfect, isn't it? So you'll be down there this
- 34:02Sunday, no doubt in the clubhouse cheering on the red
- 34:04roses? Absolutely and hopefully
- 34:06there'll be a knock on effect from the Red Roses doing so well
- 34:11in terms of building that interest and growing the club
- 34:14that you're looking to do. Yeah, definitely.
- 34:15I mean, you can already see it from Red Roses social media.
- 34:18There's so many more people getting involved and so many
- 34:20more people becoming fans of the sport and thinking actually do
- 34:22you know what, you know, that person looks like me or I could
- 34:25do that or that looks fun. So yeah, we're seeing loads more
- 34:27people stick their hand up and and try.
- 34:29And what? What do they need to bring then
- 34:31if they want to try and they? If they want to try sense of
- 34:37humour, I don't know, bring, just bring yourself.
- 34:39Really. Yeah.
- 34:40Open mind, Yeah. You might need to tackle things
- 34:43which you know or have not done before, put your head in places,
- 34:47in scrums and malls and things that that might not feel natural
- 34:50the first few times you do it. But being part of the team,
- 34:52there's nothing like it. So, so much fun.
- 34:55But yeah, if we have another forecast like Tuesday or
- 34:58Thursday, then yeah, bring umbrella or 10 umbrellas.
- 35:01You're talking about the weather there, aren't you?
- 35:03From a trading perspective, yeah.
- 35:04And that's where, yeah, you, you're gearing up effectively
- 35:08for the season, aren't you? Yeah, yeah, getting ready for
- 35:10the season because we'll be playing in those sorts of
- 35:12conditions. So yeah, we'll get getting ready
- 35:14for it and maybe, I think maybe should have done badminton or
- 35:17something like that, but we're stuck now.
- 35:21Frosty, Just in terms of the red roses again.
- 35:23They're playing on Sunday afternoon up against Scotland.
- 35:27They're heavily fancied, aren't they, To get to the final at
- 35:29least? Yeah, absolutely.
- 35:32Yeah. Don't discount whoever wins from
- 35:34Ireland and France. So in the semi final, that's
- 35:36going to be tough. You know, France in the Six
- 35:40Nations gave England a real test.
- 35:41They don't look past Scotland. No, of course not.
- 35:43No, no, you never want to get ahead of yourself.
- 35:45This, this point in a tournament, it's just about 80
- 35:48minutes. All the previous form just goes
- 35:50out the window. So yeah.
- 35:53So England's route or potential route or or predicted route to
- 35:57the final is slightly easier you'd you'd suggest than the
- 36:00other side. Is that because they're avoiding
- 36:01the All Blacks? And and Canada, yeah, yeah.
- 36:04So, so you would the favourites on the other side would be
- 36:09Canada, New Zealand semifinal. And that's, yeah, that that's
- 36:13that's. Two heavyweights going after
- 36:15that's. Going to be an absolute Corker
- 36:17of a match. Yeah, absolutely cracking.
- 36:20Should be incredible. So yeah, you'd fancy England to
- 36:22go there, but again, France gave them a little bit of a schedule
- 36:25in the Six Nations and really tested them.
- 36:27And France play a completely different game to England as
- 36:29well. Much more of kind of offloading
- 36:31off the floor type game. Want to be fast, quicker
- 36:33movement? Yeah, yeah.
- 36:35Want to try and get behind England, you know so. 10 rounds
- 36:38over the top. So, yeah, but you know, Ireland
- 36:41have improved so much over the last 12 months, so you'd you'd
- 36:44fancy them as well. You know, Young E for Wafer is
- 36:47going to be back for for that match as well, and she's
- 36:50absolute superstar. So yeah, it's not easy by any
- 36:53means. No.
- 36:54Well, fingers crossed for the Red Roses in their quarterfinal
- 36:57match in the Rugby World Cup, which takes place at Ashton Gate
- 37:00and Bristol on Sunday afternoon. But bringing it back locally and
- 37:05the leagues that you play in, are you talking about it being
- 37:09the third tier? Effectively, does that involve
- 37:11travelling? Have you got some local Derby
- 37:14matches? You know, give us a sense of
- 37:16the, the structure. Yeah.
- 37:19So it's a little bit more travelling than than last year.
- 37:21You know, for example, last year we had Bedford, Stamford, those
- 37:24sorts of teams which are pretty local.
- 37:27This year there is quite a bit more travelling.
- 37:32Yeah. So, so not too many local
- 37:34derbies to be honest. So we've got sort of Driffield,
- 37:36Bridgnorth. Bridge N.
- 37:39What's that? Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
- 37:41Way. Yeah, I think it's on the end of
- 37:43the M4. Yeah, I was just about to say.
- 37:44Having done it from a football perspective going of West, then
- 37:47yeah, that certainly rang a bell.
- 37:49But you know, it's yeah, it would be a joy to go up there
- 37:52and play in the ground that you've never visited before.
- 37:54So yeah, really looking forward to it actually.
- 37:57So. So yeah, a little bit more
- 37:59travel, yeah. Per mileage doesn't work out a
- 38:02great deal more, but it's just the club seems to be a bit more
- 38:04spread out. So.
- 38:06Harley. Going up through the ranks,
- 38:08great success that comes up with the challenges, but I suppose
- 38:12that's where the squad comes into its own really isn't it, in
- 38:14terms of the numbers that are needed to maintain a a
- 38:17competitive edge in these games. Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 38:20That's when everyone starts to dig deep and, you know, really
- 38:23show their commitment and just keep, keep showing up.
- 38:26Yeah. And in terms of the season
- 38:29that's coming up ahead, your thoughts on it, How's the team
- 38:33shaping up? How's the squad looking and if
- 38:36there was a message for the girls this evening, what would
- 38:39that be? I'll put you on the spot there.
- 38:42I know, yeah, you are. You better choose carefully.
- 38:44No, you know we are, we are the best.
- 38:47We're a great team. We've all got each other's back.
- 38:50I don't actually know. I suppose from having just got
- 38:53involved recently with fairly recently with rugby in terms of
- 38:56what we're looking at in terms of a position.
- 38:59But I, I know it's going to be a challenge.
- 39:00I know it's going to be new for a lot of us, but I think we're
- 39:04prepared. I mean, we've got great coach
- 39:06in, in Frosty. He definitely doesn't go easy on
- 39:07us. So, so, so it yeah, he, he, he's
- 39:10definitely preparing us the best that he can.
- 39:12And then given that he's all, and I know we're, we're doing
- 39:15the same and, and digging deep. So yeah, I think we're ready for
- 39:17it. Frosty, how do you, I mean like
- 39:20like Harley just said about the squad being prepared for the
- 39:24opponents. But as you go up the division
- 39:26and and Lightningesh were just commenting there, your geography
- 39:29starts to expand, doesn't it? As you go up the division, how
- 39:31do you then scout opponents and how do you get sort of build up
- 39:33the intelligence about who you're going to play?
- 39:36Yeah, it's a great question. So what would normally happen if
- 39:39you weren't thrown into being head coach at the end of the
- 39:41season is is the season before you would start, you'd have some
- 39:44idea that you're going to get promoted, right?
- 39:45And you'd on your weekends off when other sides are playing
- 39:48you, you'd basically just go and you just go and watch and, and
- 39:51see what you're up against. This year obviously didn't get a
- 39:54chance to do that. So you prepare them as best you
- 39:57can. But there is also the standard
- 39:58that we went undefeated in the league last year, so we're too
- 40:01good for that league. So we must be at least halfway
- 40:04there to to being in the league above.
- 40:07But also in the league there's three other, I think we're one
- 40:11of three promoted teams into the league as well because of a
- 40:13little bit of a restructure. So there's at least two other
- 40:16teams who are going through the same thing.
- 40:17The same boat as you so. They're in exactly the same,
- 40:20Yeah. So they've come up from the same
- 40:21level and one of them again went undefeated in their league, so.
- 40:25Who was that? I'll put you on the spot there.
- 40:28Might have. Been drift.
- 40:31OK, yeah, so, so, so, you know, so, so they'll they'll be
- 40:35feeling exactly the same. So I think yeah, well, I mean,
- 40:39we've spoken about as a squadron, I've said to them
- 40:41like, I think this stuff that we're doing here is, is good
- 40:44enough, but the first, first round of matches up until
- 40:48Christmas is going to be a massive learning curve from that
- 40:51point onwards, yes, we can start going actually, we know that
- 40:54that team is bringing that. And that team is because each
- 40:57team does have their own individual style.
- 40:58It's it's definitely there. So yeah, the first half will be
- 41:02about learning on the hoof, on the pitch, but then we can
- 41:05prepare a bit better. And when you're playing, say for
- 41:08example, you've got, is it old Albanians in your first game?
- 41:12I suppose it's that conversation to be had with them in the
- 41:13clubhouse afterwards, depending on who your opposition is the
- 41:16following week, to give you some little bit of an insight
- 41:18perhaps. Yeah, you'd hope so.
- 41:19And and things like cup matches. So they're actually a great
- 41:22opportunity because if you're still in the couple or if
- 41:26nothing goes out a couple, they tend to get postponed or played
- 41:28on different days as well. So you might get the opportunity
- 41:30to go down there you can compare them to, you know the so our our
- 41:34cup includes teams from our league and the league below.
- 41:38So again, we've already got those contacts locally from the
- 41:40team from the league below. So if they're playing someone
- 41:43from our league, you. Can have that knowledge.
- 41:46Give them a call I. Suppose equally the other way,
- 41:47teams will be worried about you because they saw your record
- 41:50last season. And if you, if you can't get the
- 41:53full information about other teams, there'll be teams out
- 41:55there that can't get the full information, information about
- 41:57you, for example. Yeah, I know these days people
- 41:59put matches on YouTube and social media and you can kind of
- 42:02watch matches that way. But generally you're you're
- 42:05probably at an advantage in the sense that people don't know who
- 42:08they're facing when they play you.
- 42:10Yeah, absolutely. And yeah, I, I mean, we again,
- 42:13we talk about this as a squad that what we're trying to do to
- 42:17other teams. So when we learn about another
- 42:18team for the first half of the year, they're learning about us.
- 42:22So they'll be we're at level now where they will be recording
- 42:24that match and going through they do this at this time and
- 42:27they like to run this at this play at this point and and
- 42:30things like that. So we have to evolve.
- 42:32So you know, me and the other coaches, we've got a plan to
- 42:35evolve how we play it throughout the whole season to try and
- 42:38combat exactly that. Because that, that first one is
- 42:40almost a bit of a freebie, isn't it?
- 42:42But it is. It's the unknown, isn't it?
- 42:44Yeah, yeah. Yeah, for, for both sides, yeah.
- 42:46And then but the second one, you want to have evolved so that
- 42:49you're not suddenly getting picked off at every line out
- 42:51and. Because it's you've, you don't
- 42:53become predictable as, so to speak.
- 42:55Yeah. Because at this, you know, at
- 42:56this level, teams will work you out very quickly.
- 42:59So yeah, we need to be able to change and adapt and also change
- 43:02with things like the weather as we go.
- 43:03Different styles of games depending on the conditions that
- 43:06you're faced with and. And who the opposition are what
- 43:08what we perceive to be their strengths and their weaknesses.
- 43:11And yeah, so it's, yeah, it's never ending evolution, I guess
- 43:15of, of playing brilliant. Right, we're just going to take
- 43:18another short break and we'll be back with Harley and Frosty from
- 43:21Peterborough Women's rugby very shortly.

- 45:26You're listening to PCR. Sports.
- 45:38Good evening. Welcome back to the PCR Sports
- 45:40Show. We're rapidly running out of
- 45:42time this evening. Just under 10 minutes of the
- 45:44show left tonight, but you can listen back to us if you have
- 45:47missed any of it this evening. We're available on our socials
- 45:51and also through our PCF, PCR FM app or online through the
- 45:57website and just hit the listen again button.
- 46:02Our guests this evening are Emma Harley, who prefers to be known
- 46:06as Harley and Peter Frost, Women's head coach, who we'll
- 46:09call Frosty at Peterborough Women's Rugby Club, who are
- 46:13based at Fortress Fengate where the men are based, so.
- 46:19Thank you for your time this evening.
- 46:20You're literally just a week away from the season starting
- 46:24and you've turned up tonight looking very resplendent in your
- 46:28new kit. Yeah, looks good, looks the
- 46:30business, doesn't it? Yeah, it's nice that we're all
- 46:33in the the same as well looking good.
- 46:35So yeah, big thank you to our sponsors who've done their bit
- 46:39in having this lovely kit and making the club look great.
- 46:42Yeah, it's, I suppose it's looking at professional look,
- 46:45isn't it, When you're coming out you're A1 club anyway from a
- 46:48coaching perspective, training perspective, but to look the
- 46:51part will just help you as individuals.
- 46:54Yeah, and it goes back to that mindset piece as well.
- 46:56You know, it's all turning up looking the same, you know, to a
- 46:59ground you've never played out. You don't.
- 47:01It's the little things. Yeah, and it does really help.
- 47:03Yeah. Who's your sponsor?
- 47:05We've got a new sponsor this year, haven't you?
- 47:07Port era and there we go. We've got plenty of other insure
- 47:10wires, GH display and and all of them.
- 47:12So I won't that's not the full list.
- 47:13I don't forget any. But yeah, I've got so many, so
- 47:16many who've helped around the club and have helped with just
- 47:18the women and and and women and the men and age grades.
- 47:21So yeah, really grateful to all of them.
- 47:23That's important, isn't it, to have that backing from the local
- 47:25community, and I know you want to get out into the community as
- 47:28well, don't you, in terms of helping spread awareness of the
- 47:30opportunities that the club provides.
- 47:33Yeah, yeah, definitely. It's nice, you know, for people
- 47:36to spend their hard earned money.
- 47:38We've got these businesses to to help us to play the game that we
- 47:41love and so we're really grateful for that and equally
- 47:44couldn't do it without the community.
- 47:45So yeah, really keen to find out if there's anything we can do to
- 47:49support within the community, whether that's different sports,
- 47:52different types of groups, you know, different people from
- 47:55different walks of life, if there's anything we can do to
- 47:57give back. And equally, if that means that
- 47:59more people come and play, excellent, brilliant.
- 48:01If that just means more people come and watch, or more people
- 48:03come and volunteer when we've got another workforce day, then
- 48:06yeah, amazing. Frosty, just to bring you in
- 48:09there, we've talked about the squad and the women, you know,
- 48:12playing the game and training hard.
- 48:14But there really is a team behind them, aren't they, you
- 48:17know, sometimes called unsung heroes To be able to support
- 48:19what happens on a on a Sunday afternoon out on that pitch.
- 48:22Yeah, absolutely. And, you know, just the, the
- 48:25paperwork and the admin just from the RFU alone, just to get
- 48:27people onto the pitch and, and make sure that everything's all,
- 48:31all registered correctly is, is a challenge.
- 48:33But, you know, we, we rely on those volunteers.
- 48:36You know, we have fantastic volunteer who thinks that she,
- 48:40she keeps all of our stats. So she, I just make
- 48:42substitutions and I know in the background they're being
- 48:44recorded for time and, you know, which is something that we have
- 48:46to do as an hour review requirement.
- 48:48We, you know, we have someone who travels up from Bedford to
- 48:51run touch for us and he, he does that, you know, as a volunteer
- 48:54just to help support the, the women on the pitch and things.
- 48:57So, yeah, there's, there's a huge swathe of volunteers in the
- 49:00background. All of our ground staff at
- 49:03Peterborough volunteers as well. And they've done, I've got to
- 49:06say they've done a fantastic job this year.
- 49:07It is, it is like a carpet. It's amazing.
- 49:10It's a lovely pitch. They've they've done.
- 49:12So we're looking at August, September, it's a carpet what
- 49:15we're looking at in November and December.
- 49:17Yeah, it's a fairpoint. We won't give them nightmares.
- 49:21Yeah. Just just let them revel in
- 49:22their glory of, of how they've, you know, managed that for a
- 49:25summer that's been incredibly dry, you know?
- 49:27So yeah, they've done a fantastic job there and.
- 49:29In terms of the, you've got a clubhouse there as well with a
- 49:32bar and the social element, Emma, I know we've alluded to it
- 49:35sort of during the show, but that's just as important for
- 49:38that togetherness and that team bonding.
- 49:40Yeah, yeah, definitely it, it reminds me a little bit of
- 49:43school in that you kind of make friends for life because you're
- 49:46sort of forced together on a Tuesday, Thursday, but then you
- 49:48find yourself finishing training and still wanting to spend that
- 49:50time with each other, catching up on on what's going on and
- 49:53having a drink or whatever it might be.
- 49:54So yeah, definitely really important.
- 49:56And I guess it's a little bit of a break from, you know, the 9:00
- 49:59to 5:00 or shift work or family, whatever it may be.
- 50:03They're able to come together in a different environment, their
- 50:06own community of friends and enjoy the the sport that they
- 50:09love. Yeah, you're, you know, you're
- 50:11part of a team, you're working on yourself.
- 50:13You've got that release, you're working on your fitness, you
- 50:16know, you know, everyone around you has got your back and you're
- 50:18working. Especially when you're gearing
- 50:20up for a game as well, The energy, you know, there's
- 50:22nothing else like it. So yeah, no, it's, it's
- 50:24incredible. Cool.
- 50:26So your first games week on Sunday?
- 50:28Yeah, it is a bit nervous, but we've got.
- 50:31This You've got a couple of training sessions next week.
- 50:33Yes. And I'm sure they will be.
- 50:36Yeah, I'm sure they'll be fantastic.
- 50:38And yeah, burpee filled and high energy and yeah, really fun.
- 50:42And Frosty, just to bring you in there season starts week on
- 50:46Sunday. Yeah, can't wait.
- 50:48Thoughts for the season ahead? I mean, I won't put you on the
- 50:52spot in terms of where you'd like to finish perhaps, but what
- 50:54are you looking for from from the girls?
- 50:57Yeah, just just to start implementing really everything
- 51:00that we've been working hard towards.
- 51:03You know, I, I feel like we're going into the season fitter
- 51:06faster than than they've ever been more, more technical skills
- 51:10as well. So but but ultimately, I suppose
- 51:13that no matter what happens with results and things that they
- 51:16actually enjoy their rugby as well, because you can't, can't
- 51:20play a game with only ten players because no one's
- 51:22enjoying it, you know, so you need that feel good factor
- 51:25through the squad as well. But they've worked really hard
- 51:28and and I'll keep trying to say to them, look, when when you're,
- 51:31you know, you feel like you're dying in that 75th minute, just
- 51:33look across at the hill that we've spent 12 weeks running up
- 51:36and down and just think. So it's just not as bad as that.
- 51:39I feel fine. So, you know, hopefully they'll,
- 51:42yeah, they're prepared well and and we'll hit the ground
- 51:44running. So that's your message.
- 51:46I mean, I've wrote down there, just enjoy, enjoy the game.
- 51:49Take each moment as it comes and and trust yourself.
- 51:53Yeah, you've, you've earned it being here, you know, and always
- 51:57play the highest level you can play, play against these people.
- 52:00Like I say, there's a chance here that some of the people,
- 52:03our opponents are going to be in the future, professional rugby
- 52:06players. So enjoy playing against those
- 52:08types of players, enjoy testing ourselves.
- 52:10And yeah, take it from there. Brilliant Harley.
- 52:13Where can they find out details about the club?
- 52:15Is it Facebook? Instagram.
- 52:18Yeah, yeah, we're on Facebook, we're on Instagram.
- 52:20So ours is at PRUFC Women. And yeah, to be fair, even if
- 52:24that's age, grade, if you just want to send a message through
- 52:26to us, we can point you in the right direction.
- 52:28And then all the match details be on there as well, so if
- 52:30anybody just wants to come down and watch a game of women's
- 52:33rugby, they can do. Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 52:35And that's a week on Sunday. Keep reminding me.
- 52:37Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Looking forward.
- 52:39To it, I'm sure Frosty will be reminding you over the course of
- 52:42the next what, 7 or 8 days as such as well, yeah.
- 52:45We'll be on all our minds next week looking forward to it.
- 52:48Brilliant, Steph. Frosty Harley, thank you very
- 52:51much for joining us this evening just on behalf of this sports
- 52:54show here and PCR Sports. Just have a great season and
- 52:58yeah, do keep us abreast of how the season's panning out.
- 53:00It'd be great to get down to the clubhouse, perhaps on a Friday
- 53:03evening, do one of our shows from there if that opportunity
- 53:05arises and really showcase what what rugby is being played in
- 53:10this city, whether it be at men's level, women's or even
- 53:14through the junior ranks. Yeah, absolutely.
- 53:16Yeah. Thank you for having us.
- 53:17Yeah, brilliant. Been a pleasure.
- 53:18Thank you. Brilliant stuff.
- 53:19Right, thank you for listening. This week that has been the
- 53:24Peterborough Woman's rugby side, Peter Frost and Emma Harley both
- 53:28talking about the woman's game on the in the local city here of
- 53:34Peterborough. As I say, if you have missed any
- 53:36of the show you can listen back to us via the PCRFM app or
- 53:39online through the website whichispcrfm.co.uk.
- 53:45Good luck to all our sporting sites this weekend and whatever
- 53:49your involvement in sport, whether it is volunteering,
- 53:51playing or just spectating, we do wish you a very successful
- 53:55and enjoyable sporting weekend.
