Transcript
- 0:18Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Gatesleepers Live, the game show that
- 0:24Speaker 1: shines a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your games
- 0:28Speaker 1: master and digimon fanatic Matt Watson. But a games master
- 0:33Speaker 1: needs games, and games need players, so please welcome first.
- 0:38Speaker 1: He is our og Gatesleepers team captain and an artist
- 0:42Speaker 1: who enjoys touching his brush to canvas, mini's and sometimes walls,
- 0:48Speaker 1: which means painter wants to fight. It's Jason Winn Hello,
- 0:54Speaker 1: and they are an actor, writer and theater producer with
- 0:57Speaker 1: rickety fidgets. But she's still my siblings, so I simply
- 1:00Speaker 1: must ras them in this opening joke, pew, what's that
- 1:04Speaker 1: aroma Lady's Hello to the both of you. Welcome to
- 1:12Speaker 1: gate Leapers. How are you both doing good? I'm feeling great.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm feeling great. It's it's very late at night,
- 1:20Speaker 2: Kira in UK time, so I've I'm very prepared. I've
- 1:23Speaker 2: got I've got a pillow just in case I need to,
- 1:27Speaker 2: you know, hit myself with something to stay away. I've
- 1:31Speaker 2: got a blanket, you know, to sort of like keep
- 1:33Speaker 2: my blood vessels like flowing, make sure I don't fall asleep.
- 1:38Speaker 2: But drinking some tea. It's a brand with like a
- 1:40Speaker 2: really sleepy bear on it. I'm not, but I assume
- 1:45Speaker 2: it's like a mascot to be like this guy needs
- 1:47Speaker 2: some tea for the ready, ready, ready to go until
- 1:56Speaker 2: one am.
- 1:58Speaker 1: We appreciate you for that. If time zones weren't a thing,
- 2:03Speaker 1: or what a wonderful world we'd live in, but it
- 2:04Speaker 1: would be a very different world and possibly terrifying. Yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 3: How are you doing, Jason? You get I'm doing really good.
- 2:12Speaker 3: I'm really excited because for those who have listened to
- 2:14Speaker 3: us from the beginning, Aiden was a once rival in
- 2:17Speaker 3: this Pokemon themed area of ours. Friend, Yeah, I think
- 2:22Speaker 3: that's a real Pokemon anime move.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Yeah, am I the Gary to your ash is that?
- 2:33Speaker 3: Wow, it's happened. Never never thought to ship them until
- 2:36Speaker 3: this very long.
- 2:37Speaker 4: You haven't watched Pokemon with me?
- 2:42Speaker 1: Okay, good stuff. I mean, Jason, we're live. Does it
- 2:45Speaker 1: does it feel different? You've been on lots of episodes
- 2:48Speaker 1: you just said that. Okay, a real sudden sinking in
- 2:53Speaker 1: my heart. No, it doesn't. It feels kind of the same,
- 2:56Speaker 1: doesn't it. Yeah?
- 2:57Speaker 3: Yeah, public speaking to a microphone in my room by myself.
- 3:03Speaker 1: All right, Well, obviously, we're here to play some games
- 3:05Speaker 1: about Pokemon, so up top, we'll start with you, Jason.
- 3:09Speaker 1: Are you a Pokemon fan?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Huge, huge Pokemon fan Ajan Kidden raised in the nineties, Yeah, huge,
- 3:16Speaker 3: real big. I feel intimidated because as we as we'll
- 3:20Speaker 3: get to with our rivals, there is someone on the
- 3:23Speaker 3: other side who I've played Pokemon against and never beaten,
- 3:26Speaker 3: and that feels bad. So hopefully this is my this
- 3:29Speaker 3: is my stadium to do so beautiful.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, battles always happen in stadiums. I'll mark that
- 3:34Speaker 1: down as the first reference. Oppy. It was a lovely
- 3:38Speaker 1: urserrang that was on the tape, but they did not
- 3:41Speaker 1: do that. That's okay, but it's good to know that
- 3:44Speaker 1: you're a big Pokemon fan. Atom what about you, You're
- 3:46Speaker 1: a big Pokemon fan.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I'm I'm a lapsed Pokemon fan. I think I played
- 3:54Speaker 2: up until I played I played Yellow, Silver and Sapphire,
- 3:58Speaker 2: took a bit of a break, played X and Moon.
- 4:04Speaker 2: I haven't played one since, so I'm pretty knowledgeable on
- 4:08Speaker 2: like those generations, all in between ones and the ones after. Nah,
- 4:12Speaker 2: I got nothing.
- 4:14Speaker 1: That's the majority of generations. That's five out of the
- 4:16Speaker 1: nine so you know that's.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Yeah, some of it sounds worse when you say it, like.
- 4:25Speaker 1: I remember you being a big Vanillash fan.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I don't.
- 4:35Speaker 1: Lovely stuff. Yeah, Jason is the only person I think
- 4:38Speaker 1: who remembers our first Pokemon recording from three years.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Ago, and that's only because I have to listen to
- 4:42Speaker 3: it for stat leaders and that was also years ago.
- 4:46Speaker 3: Actually yeah, oh, well, good stuff. I think you'll be
- 4:49Speaker 3: a good team. I think like the sort of casual
- 4:51Speaker 3: lapse knowledge combining with the super fan knowledge, that should
- 4:54Speaker 3: be some good stuff right there. But you will need
- 4:56Speaker 3: some opponents, some rivals, so to speak, so let's meet them.
- 5:01Speaker 3: He is a voice artist, podcaster and host of Carrying Wayward,
- 5:04Speaker 3: a supernatural podcast, which makes them some kind of hex
- 5:08Speaker 3: maniac or channeler. I don't know the difference, the way
- 5:13Speaker 3: they want to fight. It's Drew Shulman. Hey mania is
- 5:18Speaker 3: the biggest compliment.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Thank you, Lovely Stuff, Happy, I said it. There were
- 5:22Speaker 1: lots to choose from, and she is our resident team
- 5:25Speaker 1: captain and podcaster who works in stem which today means
- 5:29Speaker 1: she's a scientist or a high tech maniac and an
- 5:34Speaker 1: engineer or well, there's no trainer link to mathematics, so
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'll just call her a super nerd. It's Audra Stevenson.
- 5:41Speaker 4: That is me.
- 5:43Speaker 1: Absolutely good stuff. Welcome both of you, both longtime gate
- 5:49Speaker 1: Leapers players. How does it feel to be live? How
- 5:51Speaker 1: are you both doing?
- 5:52Speaker 4: I'm excited.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I like you. I really enjoy this vibe.
- 5:55Speaker 4: It feels nice. It is a good vibe.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Good vibe is an extra little bit of energy in
- 6:00Speaker 1: the room that I'm feeling. I feel like people are
- 6:02Speaker 1: meeting me more in my performance mode. But you're both
- 6:08Speaker 1: doing good both.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Yeah, absolutely excited to be here for Pokemon nice.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Yes you are. You're a fan of Pokemon ultra.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I am a fan of Pokemon. I I have not
- 6:21Speaker 4: really played the games except for Pokemon Go. I was
- 6:25Speaker 4: not allowed to be anywhere near them as a child
- 6:28Speaker 4: because the devil would come into my soul. Absolutely, so
- 6:34Speaker 4: now I'm reclaiming my childhood a lot in engaging with Pokemon.
- 6:39Speaker 4: We love the Pokemon cards in this household Pokemon Concierge.
- 6:43Speaker 4: I was devastated when they were only going to do
- 6:45Speaker 4: one season of it. It's I just love it. I
- 6:49Speaker 4: just in my in my newfound youth, I love it.
- 6:54Speaker 1: It was a cute little show.
- 6:56Speaker 4: God, I cried. I cried so good.
- 7:02Speaker 1: It's powerful Pokemon stuff.
- 7:04Speaker 4: Si Duck is important.
- 7:07Speaker 1: So I think we're finding out that you're perhaps not
- 7:09Speaker 1: the rival Jason was talking about. Oh, Drew, could it
- 7:13Speaker 1: be you? Are you the megaph Yeah?
- 7:14Speaker 5: Jason and I have come to uh the stadium together twice. Now,
- 7:18Speaker 5: I will admit the second time we played, I was
- 7:20Speaker 5: not prepared and literally one off of like just like
- 7:24Speaker 5: a happenstance miss or critical hit. Like literally it was
- 7:29Speaker 5: the like, oh he's got this in the bag. He
- 7:31Speaker 5: attacked it missed. I attacked and beat him, and I
- 7:33Speaker 5: was like that's true. Oh I feel shitty, that feels bad.
- 7:39Speaker 4: It's a win, but like, is it a win?
- 7:42Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm not going to rematch again one of these days?
- 7:44Speaker 5: Yeah for sure. Well this is it. This is the
- 7:46Speaker 5: read there we go. This is the tiebreaker. Not that
- 7:48Speaker 5: there was a time before this, but now it is.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, you you crushed Jason soundly several times. I
- 7:55Speaker 1: feel like a lost child of the fight ground right
- 7:57Speaker 1: now at around me. What, Yes, that's what, that's what's happening.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Drew Big Like you're a big Pokemon fan, like yeah.
- 8:09Speaker 5: Yeah, it picked up the first game, it was like
- 8:11Speaker 5: it was like a Christmas gift one year, like a
- 8:13Speaker 5: gift to be more accurate, and got Pokemon read my
- 8:16Speaker 5: best friend up Pokemon Blue, and I have played at
- 8:18Speaker 5: least one version every game since, with the exception of
- 8:22Speaker 5: Emerald Sapphire I and Ruby I missed that generation, but
- 8:26Speaker 5: have since gone back to crack that.
- 8:29Speaker 1: Nice that was.
- 8:30Speaker 5: That was the in high school when Pokemon wasn't cool anymore.
- 8:33Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, and then college everyone was like, that's stupid
- 8:35Speaker 5: played Pokemon.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Yeah, there's those kinds of that would be when Aidan
- 8:40Speaker 1: dropped off in those like couple of generations between and
- 8:44Speaker 1: then jump back on just a time shift due to age. Yeah,
- 8:49Speaker 1: you know, all right, good stuff. Well, Jason kind of
- 8:53Speaker 1: alluded to it earlier. Regular listeners of gate Leapers will
- 8:56Speaker 1: know that Jason and Drew this year have often been
- 8:58Speaker 1: on the same team as the beef Cheek brothers, but
- 9:02Speaker 1: this week we've decided to spread those cheeks and place
- 9:07Speaker 1: you on different seams. I just wanted to quick checking.
- 9:16Speaker 5: I definitely had team names thought up in case we
- 9:18Speaker 5: were together.
- 9:19Speaker 1: Sure, Oh do you want to throw just in case? Yeah?
- 9:24Speaker 5: Just I was mostly gonna try to do something along
- 9:26Speaker 5: lanes of like a spicy slow poke tail curry in
- 9:31Speaker 5: attempt to replicate our past few ingredients meats brothers, things
- 9:36Speaker 5: like the Slowpoe Curry Bros. That would be a good
- 9:41Speaker 5: food truck idea.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Honestly, yeah, let's make it happen.
- 9:47Speaker 2: For a second food truck, you can just open another one.
- 9:52Speaker 2: Then your rivals in two different mediums.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Keep the rivalry going everywhere. Oh good stuff. Well yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 1: you're on separate sides, and it sounds like it will
- 10:02Speaker 1: solve your Pokemon rivalry once and for all.
- 10:05Speaker 3: I'm excited it, and don't let me down. I choose you.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Okay, Teams set on your Pokemon journey with your own goals, aims,
- 10:19Speaker 1: and plans and therefore branding. But Team Rocket is already taken.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So I'd like each pair to come up with a
- 10:26Speaker 1: Pokemon themed team name. Please. Let's start with Jason and Aidan.
- 10:30Speaker 1: Have you got any ideas well?
- 10:33Speaker 3: I've got two names here. It's in reference to our
- 10:36Speaker 3: lovely time together on the previous Pokemon episode that everyone
- 10:39Speaker 3: remembers that everyone remembers it was. The prompt was, you're
- 10:44Speaker 3: in charge of a new Pokemon game, this and this?
- 10:47Speaker 3: What are you thinking of and I went Pokemon butt
- 10:50Speaker 3: and boobs and you went Pokemon piss and shit.
- 10:57Speaker 5: So I do kind of remember that, Yes, I remember.
- 11:03Speaker 3: The spirit of duality. We could choose one of those
- 11:05Speaker 3: and like I could be pissed and you could be
- 11:07Speaker 3: shipped or the.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Other, you know, whatever you want. How do you feel
- 11:13Speaker 1: about that?
- 11:15Speaker 2: I am just I'm very aware that this is like
- 11:19Speaker 2: happening live right now and will exist in a recorded format,
- 11:23Speaker 2: and I'm not sure how my career prospects will go
- 11:25Speaker 2: if there's like video footage of me being referred to
- 11:28Speaker 2: as like the piss to the ship the.
- 11:33Speaker 3: Yeah, do you want to butt or boobs?
- 11:38Speaker 4: You could do one from each and just be butt and.
- 11:45Speaker 5: One day excepting a Tony and this clip is what's
- 11:48Speaker 5: playing behind him.
- 11:50Speaker 1: They do that. The Academy does that.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it's built in cancelation, like on stage. Now, do
- 11:58Speaker 2: you have any ideas for two?
- 11:59Speaker 1: Yes?
- 12:00Speaker 2: I did think of one, and it's sort of related
- 12:04Speaker 2: to my music. Do we still do muses?
- 12:06Speaker 4: Is that?
- 12:07Speaker 2: Well, we'll get to that. We'll get to that.
- 12:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Uh. And it's just a really good name for a Pokemon,
- 12:13Speaker 2: which is just good.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Lord.
- 12:17Speaker 2: So if we wanted to be like the ghost Lords.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Like that. I do. I do want to be the
- 12:24Speaker 1: guzz Lords. Yeah, that's not going to ruin your career.
- 12:27Speaker 3: The only the only thing I know about guzz Lord
- 12:30Speaker 3: because it's not even a Pokemon. I guess it's an alien.
- 12:33Speaker 3: I don't know the YouTube guzz Lord. It just goes
- 12:37Speaker 3: guzz Lord screams and it's supposed to be a Pokemon,
- 12:41Speaker 3: but he just screams.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Like Okay, So you're going with the guz Lords. Yeah,
- 12:52Speaker 1: I like it. It's better than having to put like
- 12:54Speaker 1: piss and ship in the episode. One of my guzzing.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Whatever you choose, guz Lord is the sort of one
- 13:04Speaker 2: of the mascot pokemon on like on Pokemon piss.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Oh, that's the crossest joke made On't Get Leaper so far.
- 13:15Speaker 5: I was going to make a Pokemon joke. So we're
- 13:17Speaker 5: in the same.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Good stuff. We've already lost the YouTube live stream, all right,
- 13:25Speaker 1: good stuff. So we've got the guzz Lord's a great
- 13:27Speaker 1: team name. But let's find out who they'll be facing.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Drew Odra, did.
- 13:31Speaker 5: You have anything lined up? I'm curious.
- 13:33Speaker 4: I have some. I have some. I just went down
- 13:37Speaker 4: the list of the original one five to one, and
- 13:39Speaker 4: then just started to make some puns, charm Manders, blast Boys.
- 13:46Speaker 4: I loved Blast Boys. Pidgy thought that was fun.
- 13:52Speaker 5: I have a thought, Jo, don't worry. I know you.
- 13:57Speaker 4: If we thought we were going to do badly, I
- 13:59Speaker 4: think we will do. I think we'll do solidly. But
- 14:02Speaker 4: Rapid Trash one.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Of my.
- 14:08Speaker 4: Oddish that's not a pun. I just like him.
- 14:10Speaker 1: I just think he's he's a small guy.
- 14:14Speaker 4: He's so good. But then in the style of Ekans
- 14:18Speaker 4: and our Bach Matt seb which is just best team, the.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Most creative Pokemon, I kind of love all those.
- 14:30Speaker 4: That's where I was coming from.
- 14:32Speaker 5: So the ones I have are team thought Kit. It's
- 14:39Speaker 5: a really weird portmanteau, and I had to make it.
- 14:41Speaker 4: I love it.
- 14:42Speaker 5: I feel like one of the oldest jokes in the book,
- 14:44Speaker 5: but being the top retatas mmmmm mmm uh. And I
- 14:48Speaker 5: also like because every game always has the bird Pokemon
- 14:51Speaker 5: you find in the early the early route, so we
- 14:53Speaker 5: could just be the early birds.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Oh that's kind of nice.
- 14:57Speaker 5: And then the last one, I couldn't think of a
- 15:00Speaker 5: hunt for your name, so I was like gonna live
- 15:01Speaker 5: a fill in the blank almost, But like mu Drew
- 15:04Speaker 5: and what is there one that we can fit Audre
- 15:08Speaker 5: into Adreno, Because there's a.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Work I do like a pun one me Drew and Ordino.
- 15:17Speaker 4: I like it.
- 15:18Speaker 5: I liked and yep, there's good s c O for
- 15:24Speaker 5: you there man, that work.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I'll try. Okay, So we're going with me Drew, Yes,
- 15:33Speaker 1: Me Drew, and are we saying Audreno to give a
- 15:38Speaker 1: bit of a uldra flair to that? There we go
- 15:42Speaker 1: Me Drew and.
- 15:44Speaker 5: Me and Drew Also just sounds like an o self insert.
- 15:48Speaker 4: And that's why it's beautiful. Why it's beautiful.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I expect to see me and Drew on deviant Arts anytime, absolutely, Yeah,
- 15:56Speaker 1: all right, So we've got the guzzlrds versus Mudre and Audrey.
- 16:01Speaker 6: No.
- 16:02Speaker 3: I love the guzz lords. I want like a jersey.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Hey if you win, If you win, it happen Christmas gift.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I don't remember this at all, just that jacket going
- 16:15Speaker 2: through customs and nothing to read.
- 16:18Speaker 1: It must be in a long distance relationship on all right.
- 16:28Speaker 1: And if you're watching this and thinking, look, I respect
- 16:31Speaker 1: your amateurish setup and laggy live stream and I only
- 16:34Speaker 1: pity you a little, but I don't know anything about
- 16:37Speaker 1: this fandom. I didn't even Pokemon. Go to the polls.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Don't worry his order with a little segment we like
- 16:45Speaker 1: to call passing knowledge.
- 16:47Speaker 4: So for this one, I made cards.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Oh wow, they're so good.
- 16:53Speaker 4: I thought about putting this on Pokemon cards, and then
- 16:57Speaker 4: I chickened out.
- 17:00Speaker 1: I don't even make CODs. I've just got a laptop screen.
- 17:03Speaker 1: I should make cop I'm a gameshow host. Why don't
- 17:04Speaker 1: I have a cost?
- 17:05Speaker 4: Step it up, Come on, game with the program.
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm a really long microphone for Christ.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Clear my throat before I speak. Powe World is a
- 17:18Speaker 4: video game.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Just kiddy.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Pokemon is a Japanese media franchise that includes video games, anime,
- 17:29Speaker 4: and a trading card game. Their slogan is gotta catch
- 17:33Speaker 4: them all, which makes sense because they make more money
- 17:37Speaker 4: if you do, and you did and they have. The
- 17:42Speaker 4: Pokemon brand is worth just about a little under one
- 17:46Speaker 4: hundred billion dollars wow, which is about two fifths of
- 17:53Speaker 4: an Elon musk. If you were dismembered into equal sized pieces.
- 17:58Speaker 4: A girl can dream. No matter how you play Pokemon,
- 18:05Speaker 4: the goal is to collect, train, and battle the titular creatures. Something.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Pete has a bit of a problem with my friend Peter.
- 18:13Speaker 4: He's just not really into Pokemon. Pokemon are divided into types,
- 18:18Speaker 4: which feels a bit segregationist. But ride On can learn
- 18:23Speaker 4: surf and that's queer coded, so it's fine. The ultimate
- 18:32Speaker 4: goal is to become a Pokemon master, and it took
- 18:36Speaker 4: ash Ketchum twenty five years, so Matt, you still got
- 18:41Speaker 4: twenty one years to be good at whatever this is.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Did you genuinely write that?
- 18:49Speaker 1: If you did.
- 18:51Speaker 4: The initial Pokemon craze occurred around nineteen ninety nine, and
- 18:55Speaker 4: some experts even say it helped prevent y two k
- 18:59Speaker 4: It's me, I'm the experts, and Pokemon has reached new
- 19:06Speaker 4: heights again in the twenty twenties, but not from any
- 19:08Speaker 4: effort on their part, but because we're trapped in a
- 19:11Speaker 4: nostalgia bubble of our own making.
- 19:14Speaker 1: Yeah, that's this is past. That's just rich.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I've embraced the pokemonia recently. I can't even go to
- 19:21Speaker 4: a zoo without thinking, Wow, there's a ride On. Oh
- 19:25Speaker 4: I'm giraffering. Look at that seal.
- 19:32Speaker 5: It's just a seal.
- 19:34Speaker 4: So thank you for joining us live for these games
- 19:37Speaker 4: about Pokemon. Unless you're listening to this two weeks later,
- 19:42Speaker 4: and then why didn't you join us live? I mean,
- 19:45Speaker 4: we're gonna do more of these, but surely you gotta
- 19:49Speaker 4: catch them all. Oh, let's play gate Leapers.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Good, thank you, Audra. I want cards now. I'm just
- 19:57Speaker 1: jealous of the cards. Is cards next time? Okay, just
- 20:02Speaker 1: before we get to today's games, I've asked each player
- 20:05Speaker 1: to bring in a muse, something that inspires them or
- 20:09Speaker 1: something they love from this particular fandom. Pokemon is inspiring
- 20:13Speaker 1: to me because they introduced the concept of evolution to
- 20:16Speaker 1: my Christian household. So now I know that yes, God
- 20:21Speaker 1: made mat chops, but he also gave them the ability
- 20:26Speaker 1: to become mat choke or even if they pray hard
- 20:29Speaker 1: enough a matt Champ.
- 20:31Speaker 5: Then they have fourhands for double the praying.
- 20:35Speaker 1: God loves it. Okay, Jason will start with you. I'm
- 20:42Speaker 1: still doing prayer hands. What's inspiring you from the world
- 20:46Speaker 1: of Pokemon?
- 20:47Speaker 7: Uh?
- 20:47Speaker 3: Yeah, what's inspiring me from the world of Pokemon is
- 20:50Speaker 3: I recently got a call from my twenty five year
- 20:52Speaker 3: old cousin who was like, hey, remember how you introduced
- 20:54Speaker 3: us to Pokemon cards when we were little, And I
- 20:55Speaker 3: was like yeah, She's like I need you. I'm going
- 20:57Speaker 3: to tell you an insane story and I was like, yeah, sure, absolutely,
- 21:02Speaker 3: what is family for. She actually kept the Pokemon cards
- 21:05Speaker 3: that we collected as kids in a binder and she
- 21:08Speaker 3: thought that they were lost to time until one of
- 21:11Speaker 3: her like eleven or twelve year old cousins came by
- 21:14Speaker 3: her house and was like, thanks for the Pokemon cards,
- 21:17Speaker 3: and she was like, what are you talking about? So
- 21:19Speaker 3: secretly her father has been giving like a page, whole
- 21:22Speaker 3: page to this twelve year old or old cousin of hers,
- 21:26Speaker 3: and she went, no, yeahs a year old brain. She
- 21:33Speaker 3: immediately took the page from the kid and was like,
- 21:36Speaker 3: you can have some of these, but fuck you know,
- 21:40Speaker 3: and the whole time during the phone call, I was like,
- 21:42Speaker 3: I know that as a twenty seven year old talking
- 21:45Speaker 3: to a twenty five year old, I should be like, Isabelle,
- 21:48Speaker 3: that's fucking insane, and I went, but nah, that's fuck
- 21:52Speaker 3: that twelve year old kid, that's crazy.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I feel like you gives them the page but in
- 21:56Speaker 4: the future, No, okay, I she gave she gave them some.
- 22:02Speaker 1: She gave them.
- 22:04Speaker 5: How those cards are that's retirement money there?
- 22:07Speaker 1: Yeah? Well yeah, they weren't.
- 22:08Speaker 3: We established that none of them more retirement cards, but
- 22:11Speaker 3: essentially like that had nostalgia for her. But that kid
- 22:14Speaker 3: doesn't give two ships about those cards because we throw
- 22:17Speaker 3: away cards all the time. Those were the cards that
- 22:19Speaker 3: least she had kept. Yeah, they were more precious ones. Yeah,
- 22:22Speaker 3: so your your muse is robbing joy from a child.
- 22:25Speaker 1: Yep, what else is talking about? Yeah we're jen woners.
- 22:28Speaker 1: What else?
- 22:31Speaker 4: This is serious business?
- 22:32Speaker 1: Yeah, you're je Pokemon and ship. All right, fair enough,
- 22:37Speaker 1: I mean, look at since if that's the angle your
- 22:39Speaker 1: team wants to take, that's fine, but very inspiring in
- 22:42Speaker 1: a way. She inspires me to rob children good stuff.
- 22:50Speaker 1: All right, Well we'll move on over to your guzz
- 22:52Speaker 1: Lord's teammate. Don't don't feel saying that about my sibling.
- 22:58Speaker 1: So what is inspiring you? From Pokemon eight?
- 23:01Speaker 2: So, as I said, it was related to the goods Lord,
- 23:04Speaker 2: and then Jason immediately took it by explaining the the
- 23:09Speaker 2: YouTube video. Sorry, I'm so sorry, it's not just good Lord.
- 23:14Speaker 2: It is specifically like the original Japanese like audio of
- 23:20Speaker 2: the Pokemon cries in the anime, because there's so many
- 23:24Speaker 2: really good ones like the good Lord, which just sounds
- 23:27Speaker 2: like an adult human man standing in a room just
- 23:30Speaker 2: like step taking like two steps back from the mic
- 23:33Speaker 2: and just screaming.
- 23:36Speaker 6: That.
- 23:36Speaker 2: My my favorite one is Cirscuit, which is like the
- 23:39Speaker 2: little water boatman type thing, because it's like I choose
- 23:42Speaker 2: you Cirscuit and then it just appears, finishes its like
- 23:45Speaker 2: appearance animation then just goes like eh. And then there's
- 23:54Speaker 2: there's like Reggie giggas it's it's just it's like like
- 24:00Speaker 2: a chopped and screwed, like someone just saying like Reggie Gigs,
- 24:05Speaker 2: but like it's like it's like a remix of its name.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I thought, I thought the stream of Frozen for a second.
- 24:14Speaker 1: That's literally Reggie rock right there, incredible Reggie rocking out.
- 24:21Speaker 3: The Japanese Pokemon cries REGGI Reggie Gigs came out and
- 24:26Speaker 3: it was a song by Ludacris and TV.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's it. That's a good muse. I have
- 24:33Speaker 1: heard a couple of those from the original Japanese anime,
- 24:36Speaker 1: and yeah it is. It's a lot of screams, a
- 24:38Speaker 1: lot of noises, but more variety, even just saying their names,
- 24:42Speaker 1: so you know, there's they've got they've got something there. Absolutely,
- 24:45Speaker 1: it's a very good. Muse it's inspiring because it's hilarious. Okay,
- 24:51Speaker 1: let's move on over to Mew Drew and Audrey.
- 24:54Speaker 8: No.
- 24:55Speaker 1: I might just I might give Drew the dominant branding
- 24:57Speaker 1: when we get into the games and just say the
- 24:59Speaker 1: mew drews Kay, except that ewing, haven't you that's a
- 25:03Speaker 1: modern reference.
- 25:06Speaker 4: I haven't. I just like sucked my cheeks and pretended
- 25:09Speaker 4: that I knew actually what mewing was.
- 25:12Speaker 1: So we'll start with Drew. What's inspiring you from Pokemon?
- 25:15Speaker 5: I it's a simple one, but it's the fact that
- 25:18Speaker 5: there are so many Pokemon now that like we're getting
- 25:21Speaker 5: to the ones that are just like almost dumb. But
- 25:24Speaker 5: no matter how dumb they get, every Pokemon is someone's favorite. Yeah,
- 25:29Speaker 5: we're at a point now where there is ice cream cone,
- 25:33Speaker 5: bag of trash, uh, metal worm with arms and like
- 25:37Speaker 5: the dumbest things, And no matter what Pokemon you pick
- 25:40Speaker 5: and describe, someone's going to be in the common one.
- 25:42Speaker 5: But that's my favorite and it's stupid, but I love that.
- 25:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it is so good. I've come around on the garbage.
- 25:50Speaker 1: I like the car.
- 25:50Speaker 5: He's so one of my favorites. He's so damn c trust.
- 25:53Speaker 1: It's no difference to like h Mukar a Grimer, Right,
- 25:56Speaker 1: it's pretty much the same thing. Yeah, just a pile
- 25:58Speaker 1: of horrible mess and like, also on that note, I'm
- 26:03Speaker 1: gonna I'm gonna harp for a second. I feel like
- 26:04Speaker 1: the gens get like ship for being like less creative.
- 26:08Speaker 1: I'm sorry, quick, go back to Gen one. Yeah, catter
- 26:11Speaker 1: p the caterpillar or Pigey the literal bird.
- 26:15Speaker 5: Yeah even just someone of the comments just said, jeez, yeah, yeah,
- 26:20Speaker 5: someone out there likes jeez. I don't know who they are,
- 26:22Speaker 5: and they're horrifying to me, but they like.
- 26:25Speaker 1: They do and they probably have views I disagree with, but.
- 26:29Speaker 5: They're probably wishing it's still have the darker colored skin tone.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, I mean yeah, it's a good mus it's
- 26:37Speaker 1: a it's a good news because you're right every time
- 26:39Speaker 1: you say, oh, what about this is just a set
- 26:40Speaker 1: of keys someone's like, but I love cleft, k we
- 26:47Speaker 1: are clefty stands in this house. Absolutely No, I love that.
- 26:52Speaker 1: And the rants about how people feel about like, oh,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm so precious of a Gen one. It's they're all
- 26:57Speaker 1: stupid little animals. Come on, guys, exactly, very inspiring okay,
- 27:01Speaker 1: last book not least. I hate that phrase, but I
- 27:04Speaker 1: use it every episode. Ordre what's inspiring you from Pokemon?
- 27:08Speaker 4: I have the cards, so I have written notes about
- 27:10Speaker 4: my muse on the colors to be able to utilize
- 27:12Speaker 4: them further.
- 27:13Speaker 1: I'm so jealous.
- 27:15Speaker 4: My muse is male confidence in the face of male mediocrity.
- 27:22Speaker 1: So ash ketcham I feel.
- 27:26Speaker 4: Ash Ketchum has wanted to be a Pokemon master the
- 27:29Speaker 4: whole existence of his life up until this moment, and
- 27:32Speaker 4: he didn't know that mice existed. Pikachu is a mouse.
- 27:37Speaker 4: People know that Pikachu exists, like It's not like he's
- 27:42Speaker 4: like some secret Pokemon that has never existed. There's episodes
- 27:46Speaker 4: where there's a ton of Pikachu and people know. They're like, oh,
- 27:49Speaker 4: that's a Pikachu when they see him on the road.
- 27:52Speaker 4: How did he not know this? We will never know.
- 27:55Speaker 4: He will win an easy battle and then decide that
- 27:58Speaker 4: he's the best, and so he'll he'll beat uh beat
- 28:03Speaker 4: your magic carp I mash can catch him, and I'm
- 28:06Speaker 4: gonna be a Pokemon Master. It's incredible. He'll battle someone
- 28:10Speaker 4: who will kick his ass. Dressed in all blue, surrounded
- 28:13Speaker 4: by fish and be like, wow, are you a water trainer?
- 28:19Speaker 9: No?
- 28:20Speaker 4: Uh, completely oblivious, no idea what he's going for twenty
- 28:24Speaker 4: five years it took him to become a Pokemon Master
- 28:27Speaker 4: in spite of the fact that he has access he
- 28:30Speaker 4: gets to meet the professors, like, he gets to meet
- 28:32Speaker 4: tons of people who give him access to tons of information.
- 28:37Speaker 4: He'll battle people or meet people, and he's got like
- 28:39Speaker 4: a full set of six and they've got two and
- 28:43Speaker 4: he just like, m yeah, this is a great and
- 28:46Speaker 4: balanced situation. Yeah, this is insane. He is mediocre in
- 28:53Speaker 4: spite of a bunch of opportunities. Yeah. Also, some people
- 28:58Speaker 4: are gonna be out there going He's a protagonist. He
- 29:01Speaker 4: has to learn what a Pikachu is with us because
- 29:04Speaker 4: we don't know what a Pikachu is. This is my muse,
- 29:07Speaker 4: And I say he's a dumb ass.
- 29:10Speaker 1: Fair enough. I agree with you completely. Yeah, it's surprising
- 29:14Speaker 1: how often he's like, I'm going to be a Pokemon Master.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Like I'd been a fan of this my entire life. Huh,
- 29:20Speaker 1: what's this bird doesn't even know what a pigy is.
- 29:24Speaker 4: Yeah, and I've only watched through like a bit of this,
- 29:27Speaker 4: but I feel like there was something like Team Rocket
- 29:30Speaker 4: showed up and he's like, what's that snake? Like it's
- 29:34Speaker 4: eckens Reade. Yeah.
- 29:37Speaker 2: Man, the equivalent of like going out and seeing a
- 29:40Speaker 2: dog and be like what the fuck and like frantically.
- 29:42Speaker 4: Google four legs for a big mouse.
- 29:47Speaker 1: With sniffing a lot. What is this?
- 29:51Speaker 4: Oh?
- 29:51Speaker 1: Good stuff? Yeah? Look, male mediocrity has to we have
- 29:55Speaker 1: to be inspired by it. We have to.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Honestly, as someone who probably knows the lea about Pokemon,
- 30:01Speaker 4: it is very in this in this episode. It's inspiring
- 30:05Speaker 4: to me to note that, honestly, if I know what
- 30:08Speaker 4: a Pikachu is, then I'm I'm better than Ashketchim.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:12Speaker 4: Episode one. Absolutely, I'm starting out better. Maybe it'll only
- 30:16Speaker 4: take me twenty years to become a Pokemon master.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I don't have my glasses on. Is there a comment
- 30:20Speaker 3: that just says I'm such an oddress stand?
- 30:22Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 30:25Speaker 5: From pantless looks like.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's right. Are good stuff? Thank you, Eric,
- 30:31Speaker 1: We're all oldress stands, thank you? Oh yeah, okay, well,
- 30:35Speaker 1: very inspiring music players. I think it's time to get
- 30:37Speaker 1: some games. Should we get some games? Yeah? Okay, teams,
- 30:41Speaker 1: it's time to bully that old man down. The street
- 30:43Speaker 1: into giving us a brand new pet as we set
- 30:46Speaker 1: off on roots. What I mean round one? Round one
- 30:54Speaker 1: is called spell Slots. It's the trivia game that tests
- 30:57Speaker 1: our players spellings of various fans words. Simply answer a
- 31:02Speaker 1: trivia question for a point and then spell the answer
- 31:05Speaker 1: for me, except I lied. It's not that simple. You
- 31:08Speaker 1: have to spell the answer one letter at a time,
- 31:11Speaker 1: back and force between you and your teammate, like no

- 31:19Speaker 1: for the guzzlrds. Here is your trivia question. This Gen
- 31:22Speaker 1: two blue ground type Pokemon washes itself in the early
- 31:27Speaker 1: morning river water using it's cute snoot. That's got to
- 31:30Speaker 1: be with Can we discuss what Pokemon? Discuss what Pokemon? Yeah,

- 31:38Speaker 3: Who fan fee the pre evolution to don fan.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I had a huge hole of knowledge that I thought
- 31:47Speaker 2: was much smaller than it is. You say, this is
- 31:51Speaker 2: Gen two, Yeah, this is Gen two. It's like, oh,
- 31:54Speaker 2: the like the elephant type. Yeah, yeah, that's the new
- 31:59Speaker 2: type that invented. It's like psych.
- 32:05Speaker 4: Is inexplicably an elephant type to poachers.
- 32:12Speaker 2: I know, I know, which one you mean now and
- 32:14Speaker 2: fan fee did you say?
- 32:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, okay, you're going with that as your answer? Yeah, yeah,
- 32:21Speaker 1: that is we have to spell it. You have to
- 32:24Speaker 1: spell You got the point for the correct answer it is?
- 32:26Speaker 1: It is indeed?
- 32:27Speaker 2: Cool?
- 32:27Speaker 1: Uh and now I'd like you to spell it one
- 32:30Speaker 1: letter at a time.
- 32:31Speaker 2: Why don't you kick us off, Jason, I don't want
- 32:34Speaker 2: to immediately.
- 32:37Speaker 7: P H a.
- 32:41Speaker 8: M.
- 32:42Speaker 1: I think it's p H. Why you're going with fan fee,
- 32:48Speaker 1: it's actually fan py. It doesn't actually have a H. Yeah. Yeah,
- 32:54Speaker 1: so I'm so sorry, no point, but yeah, you spelled it.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Because we didn't go with team piss and ship.
- 33:02Speaker 1: Much more relevant. Yeah, no, you're just stuck being the
- 33:06Speaker 1: guzz lords. Yeah. Sorry, Yeah, it's a common common misconception.
- 33:12Speaker 1: I think that the pH there until this moment. Yeah yeah,
- 33:17Speaker 1: I assumed it too. I thought they had a.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Write because all of us. Okay, cool, I don't feel
- 33:21Speaker 3: like an idiot.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Yeah, fan be there we go empty. Okay, we got
- 33:25Speaker 1: a point for the for the correct So now over
- 33:29Speaker 1: to me, Drew. Here it is is your trivia question.
- 33:33Speaker 1: This mythical Pokemon is known as the original one and
- 33:38Speaker 1: has eighteen different forms, one for each type.
- 33:41Speaker 5: I'm pronouncing it the way it's supposed to be pronounced,
- 33:44Speaker 5: which is Archaeus, even though I think it should be Artus.
- 33:48Speaker 1: I'm not gonna comment or say anything, but I will
- 33:51Speaker 1: say you've got the correct answer, so there is a
- 33:52Speaker 1: point there. But now you have to spell this thing
- 33:56Speaker 1: that you're unsure about how it's pronounced.
- 33:59Speaker 5: Oh I know how it pronounce. I just hate it.
- 34:03Speaker 5: It was one of those ones where we all the
- 34:04Speaker 5: entire community agreed it was one way, and then the
- 34:07Speaker 5: anime was like, it's this actually, and it's like, no,
- 34:10Speaker 5: stop rude.
- 34:12Speaker 4: Would you like to begin the spell? Or do you
- 34:14Speaker 4: like to begin this r see?
- 34:19Speaker 1: I you s oh, I'm so sorry. It's an e
- 34:26Speaker 1: not an i archaeus us.
- 34:32Speaker 5: The anime calls an Archaeus and we all disagree, including
- 34:35Speaker 5: Doctor House on an episode of House. Oh really that
- 34:39Speaker 5: is yes, he references episode randomly.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Moving back on over to the guzlads. Here is your
- 34:44Speaker 1: next trivia question. This Gen one Pokemon is purple and
- 34:49Speaker 1: pretty normal except in a lola where things can get
- 34:52Speaker 1: a little dark.
- 34:54Speaker 3: It's I've never thought I didn't know how to spell
- 34:57Speaker 3: this Pokemon until we do.
- 34:59Speaker 2: But it's a right Oh yeah, no, yeah, he does
- 35:02Speaker 2: have an alulan form. Yeah, just his dark type.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a little mustache. That's not that's part of
- 35:10Speaker 1: the question. Spelled mustache. I'd rather do that than radator.
- 35:17Speaker 1: But it's radator, it's rat Do you want to do?
- 35:19Speaker 1: You want to kick this one off? One off?
- 35:21Speaker 2: Eight, I'll start. I think this is a fairly an
- 35:24Speaker 2: easier one to begin. Oh a T this is very good.
- 35:31Speaker 3: Tricky A T T.
- 35:38Speaker 1: A. Oh, I see what you've done. But the double
- 35:41Speaker 1: T is in the wrong place, the first one, not
- 35:46Speaker 1: the second one. God damn it.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was fifty fifty.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I know it's fifty fifty, right.
- 35:56Speaker 5: I literally have the word rattata on my screen because
- 35:59Speaker 5: it was one of like names.
- 36:01Speaker 1: And well, hang on now, because that's multiple people, I'm
- 36:07Speaker 1: just going to double check. No, that's you probably have read.
- 36:10Speaker 1: I'm convinced it was just from memory, and I just.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Put the hut the two teas up front. I think
- 36:18Speaker 4: even if you didn't.
- 36:19Speaker 1: Google it, all right, Well, let's with that, let's put
- 36:21Speaker 1: that confidence to the test by giving you another trivia
- 36:24Speaker 1: question immediately. God, this gen to pink Pokemon is feeling
- 36:30Speaker 1: a little sheepish. And has a rubbery hide for storing electricity.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Do you know this one?
- 36:36Speaker 4: I see him in my head, I see him.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Yes, that's it's a good little flaffy.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Yes, because I knew the next one.
- 36:47Speaker 5: Flafy arosa. Oh, it was one of my favorites as
- 36:50Speaker 5: a kid.
- 36:51Speaker 1: So, yeah, you've got the point for flashy. Can you
- 36:53Speaker 1: spell flaffy?
- 36:55Speaker 4: I think so?
- 36:56Speaker 5: Yeah, it sounds like a really easy one. Now I'm
- 36:58Speaker 5: doubting myself. Would you like to start this time?
- 37:01Speaker 4: Yes?
- 37:02Speaker 6: F L A F F why?
- 37:10Speaker 1: Okay? I like the up speak at the end there
- 37:13Speaker 1: it's no, it's also double A as well as double F,
- 37:17Speaker 1: double A, double A and double one of the two.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I knew it was double A. I didn't know
- 37:23Speaker 2: it was also double F. I think the main takeaway
- 37:27Speaker 2: from this round is that the Pokemon company are wrong
- 37:29Speaker 2: in how they spell.
- 37:32Speaker 5: Another two. Yeah, there's another one also that like upset
- 37:35Speaker 5: the Internet.
- 37:36Speaker 1: All right, well, you're doing amazingly with your spelling so far.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Yes, we know the trivia.
- 37:44Speaker 1: Oh trivia on point. Okay, let's let's move things up
- 37:48Speaker 1: to level three and see see how to go. Let's
- 37:50Speaker 1: get harder, got it? Okay, so back on over to
- 37:54Speaker 1: the guzlolds. Here's your next question. This Gen five pink
- 37:59Speaker 1: water tie pokemon is known for its healing abilities. If
- 38:03Speaker 1: tuna is the chicken of the sea, this fish is
- 38:06Speaker 1: the doctor. Oh any ideas for that? Gen five was
- 38:12Speaker 1: Gen five X and y.
- 38:14Speaker 3: Uh no, it's it's black and white. Yeah. Ala Molola
- 38:20Speaker 3: is one that people often think is Gen seven because
- 38:23Speaker 3: it's like Hawaiian. But it's the only pink fish I
- 38:25Speaker 3: can think of.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Is the healing properties? But is throwing me off? Is
- 38:29Speaker 2: it it's not a love disc?
- 38:30Speaker 1: Is it love disc? Is gen? Oh? Love disc has
- 38:34Speaker 1: got to be Jen three or four? I think? Okay,
- 38:36Speaker 1: that's also what I was thinking about. I think.
- 38:38Speaker 2: I mean, given it's the spelling round, the one that
- 38:40Speaker 2: sounded like you were like choking on something is the
- 38:45Speaker 2: one that.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Makes So that's the one you're going with. Is it
- 38:54Speaker 1: Ala Malolola? It is? Indeed, there's the thanks the point
- 38:57Speaker 1: for the trivia. Thank you? But now can you spell
- 39:00Speaker 1: that sounds that you're making?
- 39:02Speaker 3: Okay, legitimately I think it's al low Okay, no, never mind, Yeah,
- 39:11Speaker 3: let's go. Let's go load it A l oh m
- 39:19Speaker 3: a l l oh Sorry Oh yeah, sorry, oh A.
- 39:27Speaker 1: If this is right, it's obviously given how many letters
- 39:35Speaker 1: are in there, it's probably the most right so far.
- 39:38Speaker 1: But still, that middle A should have been an Oh, yeah,
- 39:43Speaker 1: a low momola Okay, I like saying it.
- 39:49Speaker 2: The other is because it's like a mola mola fish. Oh,
- 39:54Speaker 2: that makes sense.
- 39:55Speaker 1: It is a palindrome, I thought so.
- 39:57Speaker 5: Yeah, it spells the same backwards and forward. Incredible fun
- 40:01Speaker 5: little fact.
- 40:02Speaker 1: Me, Drew, here's your Level three trivia question. This Gen
- 40:07Speaker 1: seven Fighting slash Ice pokemon has the most letters in
- 40:12Speaker 1: its name of any pokemon, which is why I chose it.
- 40:16Speaker 5: I know who it is, one of those pokemon I
- 40:19Speaker 5: just think is the ugliest thing ever both devolutions. Is
- 40:22Speaker 5: this crabominable?
- 40:25Speaker 1: Oh? He is indeed crabominable.
- 40:28Speaker 4: Okay, I'm gonna get lost in the I'm gonna place
- 40:35Speaker 4: my hands upon the table in order to count.
- 40:39Speaker 1: Yes, c R A B you can spell crab oh
- 40:50Speaker 1: m A.
- 40:53Speaker 6: N A.
- 40:56Speaker 1: B l e.
- 41:00Speaker 4: Oh.
- 41:00Speaker 1: It's the same story as last time. You were perfect
- 41:05Speaker 1: apart from the middle vowel, where like an A should
- 41:09Speaker 1: have been an I form of all of us that far.
- 41:19Speaker 1: I'm impressed.
- 41:20Speaker 2: I gained such a new found respect for people who
- 41:22Speaker 2: do spelling these trying to visualize I'm doing.
- 41:28Speaker 5: Wasting their time also because someone's going to say it
- 41:32Speaker 5: eventually if we don't.
- 41:32Speaker 1: But spelling be drills continue love. Should should have had
- 41:36Speaker 1: that written down here one difficulty left or going one high?
- 41:41Speaker 1: Something a little different this time, but you'll you'll pick
- 41:43Speaker 1: up on it as I put the clue down what
- 41:45Speaker 1: should be uniquely spell it?
- 41:52Speaker 5: But it's up there on the weird the weird names
- 41:54Speaker 5: you got point.
- 41:54Speaker 1: There definitely definitely your level four clue is for lords.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Is this Pokemon educator is known as one of the
- 42:03Speaker 1: sexy ones. His namesake produces helicopter seeds.
- 42:08Speaker 4: Eh oh?
- 42:12Speaker 2: Who who was the hot dad from Pokemon x oh?
- 42:17Speaker 1: I like how I was gonna?
- 42:19Speaker 2: I think that was the one where everyone was like,
- 42:21Speaker 2: that's that's the sexy dad one.
- 42:24Speaker 3: Uh So it's not oak, Rowan or elm.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Is it named trees? Is it Willow?
- 42:36Speaker 2: No? I know it's Sycamore.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it is, indeed Sycamore. It's professor Sycamore. That is
- 42:42Speaker 1: what I'm looking for you to spell here. This is
- 42:44Speaker 1: what we do.
- 42:44Speaker 3: We bring Pokemon knowledge, we bring Daddy knowledge. Because in
- 42:48Speaker 3: the previous Pokemon episode, you also shouted out Professor Kokoui
- 42:52Speaker 3: for being a daddy.
- 42:55Speaker 4: Yes, one who remembers this episode.
- 43:01Speaker 1: You've been making all this up. It never happened. But yeah,
- 43:05Speaker 1: you've got a point for the trivia question there. But
- 43:08Speaker 1: can you spell professor Sycamore?
- 43:10Speaker 2: Okay, wait, hang on, are we spelling sycamore or professor Sycamore?
- 43:14Speaker 1: Give me it all, give let's go.
- 43:18Speaker 2: I'll kick us off.
- 43:20Speaker 1: P r oh F.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Period.
- 43:33Speaker 1: That was an e e.
- 43:35Speaker 3: S s oh ah sick uh.
- 43:42Speaker 2: That's the first part of the next word.
- 43:43Speaker 7: Yes, why c a m oh r e.
- 43:56Speaker 1: They've done it second.
- 44:02Speaker 4: Incredible.
- 44:03Speaker 5: I fully believe though professor was the harder of the store.
- 44:08Speaker 1: Trees.
- 44:09Speaker 2: I understand professions absolutely not.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Oh lovely stuff the longest spelling their excellent work. Okay,
- 44:19Speaker 1: so let's hope you remember how to spell professor because
- 44:24Speaker 1: me and Drew here is your clue. This Pokemon educator
- 44:27Speaker 1: specializes in Dynamax. She shares a namesake with the nineteen
- 44:32Speaker 1: ninety nine ensemble film by Paul Thomas Anderson.
- 44:35Speaker 5: I'm having a moment here, which was the professor in
- 44:38Speaker 5: that game?
- 44:39Speaker 4: So we've narrowed it down to the female professors.
- 44:42Speaker 5: Yes, I know there's a juniper, but I don't think
- 44:45Speaker 5: that's this generation.
- 44:47Speaker 4: So I'm trying to think of films that have juniper
- 44:49Speaker 4: in the title, and I can't think of as many.
- 44:51Speaker 1: I can't think of as a movie title, but juniper
- 44:56Speaker 1: an I'll throw that in there.
- 45:00Speaker 4: I nodded, as though I had any understand.
- 45:05Speaker 5: I can't think many other female professors, and to kill
- 45:07Speaker 5: me now, junipers coming to mind.
- 45:10Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of other other trees and plants.
- 45:15Speaker 4: Daisy is not a professor, tulips, blossoms.
- 45:23Speaker 5: I think we just go with juniper. Take to take
- 45:25Speaker 5: hope we can spell it?
- 45:26Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's not it's not juniper question. But you
- 45:31Speaker 1: do have the advantage of knowing how to spelled professor already,
- 45:34Speaker 1: so I give you the tougher question. This is professor Magnolia.
- 45:37Speaker 5: Magnolia, Magnolia, Magnolia. I thought Black Dahlia the wrong movie
- 45:43Speaker 5: with a flower name.
- 45:46Speaker 1: Yeah, so Professor Magnolia.
- 45:47Speaker 4: Okay, do we get a point if we can spell it?
- 45:49Speaker 1: If you can spell it, okay, absolutely, Ladies, first p R.
- 45:55Speaker 4: O F E s oh oh fuck.
- 46:04Speaker 1: You said oh, and there was a pause. I'm so sorry.
- 46:07Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. And now I must I must ask
- 46:09Speaker 1: you to continue spelling even though you know you've got
- 46:12Speaker 1: it wrong. That's crazy.
- 46:14Speaker 4: I will leave you. Oh god, I don't know.
- 46:23Speaker 5: Well, jump to the end after the it's the R
- 46:26Speaker 5: and then space.
- 46:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and then how you spelling magnolia, m A G
- 46:36Speaker 1: n oh l.
- 46:40Speaker 4: I would be so correct, and the next the next
- 46:44Speaker 4: two letters are F and you you let Jason correct himself.
- 46:52Speaker 1: That's you know what I did, And so later on
- 46:54Speaker 1: in the game, I'll be lenient on Yeah. I think
- 46:59Speaker 1: it was because Jason's was of the same noise. Yeah,
- 47:01Speaker 1: you took a comfortable pause.
- 47:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not going to ask the chat because everyone
- 47:08Speaker 1: will be on Audra's side. That is the end of
- 47:11Speaker 1: round one. Let's ask that sexy professor I mentioned to
- 47:14Speaker 1: calculate the later scores. Cute and smart, what a combo?
- 47:19Speaker 1: Okay we have the guzz Lords are on five points
- 47:23Speaker 1: and me Drew are on three points. So the guzlads
- 47:26Speaker 1: are currently in the lead with five points.
- 47:28Speaker 4: Nice, not unassailable.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I really wish I wasn't doing this at
- 47:33Speaker 2: like midnight, and so that every time you say ghost lords,
- 47:36Speaker 2: I could just go.
- 47:36Speaker 1: Like up next is round two. This is usually where
- 47:44Speaker 1: we play some ads on the podcast, but if you're
- 47:47Speaker 1: currently with us live, we're going to take a quick
- 47:49Speaker 1: bio break. Bio break is super effective against toilets. Brown
- 48:01Speaker 1: two is a brand new game called Leaper con No,
- 48:05Speaker 1: I didn't just mispronounced leprechn We're at a convention. We're
- 48:10Speaker 1: putting on a convention, and at this convention we've assembled
- 48:13Speaker 1: a panel of Pokemon experts our players. The problem is
- 48:18Speaker 1: the line of Pokemon fans who are here to ask
- 48:21Speaker 1: questions are some of the worst people in the world.
- 48:24Speaker 1: We've all met them at conventions, so it's don't worry
- 48:28Speaker 1: if you listen, it's not you. So I'll ask our
- 48:32Speaker 1: panel a question. Any player can answer first, and your
- 48:35Speaker 1: teammate can help build your answer. We'll wait until we've
- 48:38Speaker 1: heard from the full panel, and then our live audience,
- 48:42Speaker 1: our live chat can decide who they think which team
- 48:45Speaker 1: gave the best answer, or if we don't have an
- 48:48Speaker 1: engaged audience, I'll decide is what I've read here. But
- 48:51Speaker 1: it's great to see a few people in the chat.
- 48:52Speaker 5: Yeah, it's an unfair advantage here.
- 48:59Speaker 1: Good. I mean she may vote against you. We don't know.
- 49:02Speaker 4: Yah hold you to a higher standard.
- 49:06Speaker 1: So here is the first fan approaching the microphone. Now,
- 49:09Speaker 1: so jack get's working. They always do that, don't they
- 49:13Speaker 1: always walk up to the fight? Do they? Conventions?
- 49:16Speaker 4: Absolutely every time?
- 49:18Speaker 1: Uh yeah, I was wondering. I'm trying to be in
- 49:22Speaker 1: better relationships with better men. My friends say I should
- 49:26Speaker 1: just give up on men altogether, but that's like not
- 49:29Speaker 1: an option. So which Pokemon is a red flag? If
- 49:33Speaker 1: someone says it's their favorite.
- 49:36Speaker 5: I'm just gonna be very blow I think the easy
- 49:38Speaker 5: answer here and save a Porreon. I'm sorry. That is
- 49:41Speaker 5: like basically, if they Poreon's your favorite Pokemon and you
- 49:44Speaker 5: are over the age of like fifteen, you better have
- 49:48Speaker 5: a really good reason or I'm just going to assume
- 49:50Speaker 5: the worst of you.
- 49:52Speaker 4: What inconsistent?
- 49:54Speaker 3: Yeah, well, I know, like I know that there's like
- 49:57Speaker 3: a copy pot, which I don't know what a copy
- 49:59Speaker 3: past say is, be honest, Yeah, I know there's a
- 50:03Speaker 3: copy pastor.
- 50:05Speaker 1: I guess that makes it weird.
- 50:06Speaker 3: But I would say like I did like when I
- 50:10Speaker 3: was a kid, because it's just like I think the
- 50:12Speaker 3: coolest of the EV's. So maybe someone does like, but
- 50:15Speaker 3: there's no roote. I don't think there's any excuse in
- 50:17Speaker 3: a similar vein for a lot bunny, because Lot especially
- 50:21Speaker 3: like Mega Lot money, it's got shredded jeans.
- 50:24Speaker 1: What are we doing game? Really?
- 50:26Speaker 5: Yeah, like the Mega Lot bunny it gets it looks
- 50:29Speaker 5: like it's wearing like types that are torn.
- 50:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:32Speaker 3: Oh it's it's a lot bunny furry bait but hot
- 50:36Speaker 3: topic eyes.
- 50:37Speaker 1: Okay, how insane is that? You know?
- 50:40Speaker 4: I think for this one, I would probably say smear goal,
- 50:44Speaker 4: but it's not why you think?
- 50:47Speaker 1: Why do we think?
- 50:50Speaker 4: Do you think I'm I'm not gonna put what you're
- 50:54Speaker 4: thinking onto you. I just think that Smeragle has really
- 50:59Speaker 4: like where's my hug energy? Like the tail out, It's
- 51:06Speaker 4: just it's really.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Where something you think?
- 51:09Speaker 3: It takes pictures of its paintbrush in the dark under
- 51:11Speaker 3: the cover. My brain total went to scat, which I hate.
- 51:18Speaker 1: The mother is in the chat.
- 51:22Speaker 5: I think, yeah, there is like a level of like
- 51:24Speaker 5: the guy on d V and ard who's like trying
- 51:26Speaker 5: to get the girls like attention.
- 51:30Speaker 1: Sure, I hate that.
- 51:31Speaker 2: I'm just gonna like, I know it's like a tried
- 51:33Speaker 2: and and kind of tie an answer but missed a
- 51:35Speaker 2: mime like, oh, what do you think that like because
- 51:40Speaker 2: there's there's a lot of Pokemon that are just like,
- 51:42Speaker 2: that's a guy, but like he's like a friend. He's like,
- 51:48Speaker 2: I don't trust him, So why would I trust?
- 51:52Speaker 4: Why do we always have to see his hands?
- 51:55Speaker 3: Why do I have this feeling that I can't leave
- 51:56Speaker 3: him alone with my mother?
- 51:59Speaker 1: Because you've the anime he's just talk about where's my
- 52:04Speaker 1: hug energy?
- 52:06Speaker 4: Absolutely has where's my hug energy?
- 52:11Speaker 1: All right, those are some good answers. Chat, what what
- 52:14Speaker 1: do you think who gave the best answer to that question?
- 52:18Speaker 1: Give the name of the Pokemon that a player mentioned,
- 52:20Speaker 1: or just name a player or name a team if
- 52:23Speaker 1: you're keeping track of what's going on here. Yes, in
- 52:26Speaker 1: the In the meantime, I think, yeah, there's there were
- 52:28Speaker 1: some clear angles there of like oh yeah, the anthropomorphized
- 52:33Speaker 1: dev and art sexy ones are red flags, but also
- 52:36Speaker 1: ones that seem a bit gropy. Yeah, Kristen in the
- 52:40Speaker 1: chat agreed with Aiden and mister Mime and just mister
- 52:43Speaker 1: Mime giving such a creepy vibe and then yeah, thanks
- 52:53Speaker 1: for that, sublime.
- 52:54Speaker 5: I've been doing voice acting scripts for YouTube, but it's
- 52:58Speaker 5: been so much ditty content that.
- 53:01Speaker 1: Scripts don't ever say Diddy guard it again. So yeah,
- 53:08Speaker 1: I think the bonus point there is going to go
- 53:10Speaker 1: to the ghost lots handing out points for everyone for
- 53:14Speaker 1: their answers as well. It's all happening along the way.
- 53:17Speaker 1: But yeah, it's a it's good to I don't have
- 53:19Speaker 1: to make decisions about who was best. I like this.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Do more live streams.
- 53:24Speaker 4: Incredible.
- 53:24Speaker 1: Okay, here's your next question from your next terrible convention goer. Yeah,
- 53:30Speaker 1: so we live in pretty divisive times. I sort of
- 53:33Speaker 1: think all sides of politics are bad, while enlightened people
- 53:37Speaker 1: like me are stuck in the middle. So I'm looking
- 53:39Speaker 1: to pop culture for answers, like a sensible centrist, which
- 53:43Speaker 1: Pokemon character would you trust as president of the United States?
- 53:48Speaker 3: Thank you uh man in the back with the hairy
- 53:52Speaker 3: chin uh. I think I think first centrists like you.
- 54:00Speaker 3: I've got the perfect answer. I've got meta gross because
- 54:04Speaker 3: what says unity like four Beldams put into one. Because
- 54:09Speaker 3: that's all meta gross is is four bell thems put
- 54:12Speaker 3: into one. It's a psychic type, smart, good, good thing
- 54:16Speaker 3: and president. The best thing to look for in a
- 54:18Speaker 3: president hard to shoot with a bullet deal type really
- 54:23Speaker 3: resistant is right off. Yeah, I mean you know, any
- 54:27Speaker 3: assassination to go through.
- 54:29Speaker 1: We got it. Yeah, yeah, fair enough, Okay, I see,
- 54:32Speaker 1: I see your answer that anyone else got any want
- 54:34Speaker 1: to raise the stakes.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Yeah, I've got an answer for for the centrist gentlemen.
- 54:40Speaker 2: I think that the thing that truymas and a leader
- 54:44Speaker 2: is knowledge of defense. And I think that given that
- 54:51Speaker 2: we have numerical stats for a Pokemon's defense, I'm going
- 54:57Speaker 2: to go with the one that can have. I think
- 55:00Speaker 2: think this still is the record to this day, the
- 55:03Speaker 2: highest possible defense stat in any Pokemon, the humble Shuckle.
- 55:12Speaker 2: I would trust that little guy leading any nation.
- 55:17Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 55:17Speaker 2: I think he's got the right ideas, you know.
- 55:20Speaker 5: Yeah, I think we need to widen our view a
- 55:22Speaker 5: little bit here, and we need to make the world
- 55:24Speaker 5: a better place. Like forget left, right center. We just
- 55:27Speaker 5: need someone who's going to get in there and make
- 55:29Speaker 5: the world better and healthy and safe, and that's their joy.
- 55:34Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I've got the entire Pokemon center running like
- 55:38Speaker 5: they get bigger and bigger every generation, so they're obviously
- 55:41Speaker 5: making money, but we don't pay them a single poke
- 55:43Speaker 5: dollar whatever the currency in that world is zenny. I
- 55:47Speaker 5: think that's about mega man. But they are kind, they
- 55:50Speaker 5: are nice. They do free healthcare, which is a bonus,
- 55:54Speaker 5: and no one seems to complain about that, no matter
- 55:56Speaker 5: what side they're on in that world.
- 55:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I think this is I think that's something
- 56:00Speaker 4: that we've missed out on, is that in this day
- 56:02Speaker 4: and age is the idea of political figures as like
- 56:06Speaker 4: servants of the people. They are serving the public, and
- 56:11Speaker 4: I think no one does that more than Nurse Joy.
- 56:13Speaker 4: Nurse Joy is there day in and day out orchestrating
- 56:17Speaker 4: large scale like people operations, logistical operations, relief efforts after
- 56:23Speaker 4: some of the battles, efforts after battles. Nurse Joy is
- 56:26Speaker 4: both there, like on the ground, but also administratively. I
- 56:33Speaker 4: Nurse Joy.
- 56:34Speaker 1: Absolutely, yeah, like crucially can say more than just her
- 56:38Speaker 1: own name as well.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Uh huh.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Gotta be good for speeches. That's the debate I want
- 56:43Speaker 1: to see.
- 56:44Speaker 2: Is bury juice out?
- 56:52Speaker 1: Okay, chat, what did you think of those answers? We've
- 56:55Speaker 1: got a snork say, Nurse Joy all the way, good
- 56:58Speaker 1: stuff an Joy that sorry shuckle, huge.
- 57:08Speaker 2: Women in office's defense stuff.
- 57:10Speaker 3: You can take it, honestly, considering that I didn't know
- 57:15Speaker 3: it was like just Pokemon characters that that was only
- 57:18Speaker 3: Pokemon's if there was like a human candidate and a
- 57:22Speaker 3: worm in a rock brutal for society. They were like,
- 57:28Speaker 3: we want that. I mean, we're not far removed from
- 57:30Speaker 3: that choice.
- 57:33Speaker 4: I love the idea of like you have your Pokemon
- 57:37Speaker 4: is the president, but then the vice president must be.
- 57:43Speaker 1: It's a muppet situation. Absolutely.
- 57:47Speaker 5: I feel like Joan will really have that energy right there.
- 57:53Speaker 1: What are we going to do now? I need all
- 57:58Speaker 1: the presidents of Pokemon that's gonna happen. What type is
- 58:02Speaker 1: Joe Biden? Normal fighting? Yeah, it's not. He's the most
- 58:07Speaker 1: milk toast man there is. All right, here's your next
- 58:10Speaker 1: fan question. Here we go, stepping up the microphone. I
- 58:14Speaker 1: like doing this tapping.
- 58:15Speaker 4: On the microphone. You're the one that has to edit this.
- 58:18Speaker 4: If that sounds doesn't come through good.
- 58:20Speaker 1: And there are people watching live, so I shouldn't do that.
- 58:24Speaker 1: So I own a restaurant at a little boutique in
- 58:29Speaker 1: a in Paris or wherever this accent sounds like I'm from.
- 58:32Speaker 1: I am always looking for new and interesting recipes. So
- 58:37Speaker 1: what would be the best Pokemon to serve as a
- 58:40Speaker 1: dish at a Michelin Star restaurant. I would love to
- 58:43Speaker 1: take this one real quick.
- 58:44Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 58:45Speaker 5: I think the most important part of a good dish
- 58:48Speaker 5: is making sure that as many people can enjoy it
- 58:50Speaker 5: as possible. And there's dietary restrictions. We all know this
- 58:54Speaker 5: bulbosor it would be gluten free. He's most likely gluten
- 59:01Speaker 5: free vegetarians because he's just a plant portion. Yeah, and
- 59:07Speaker 5: I feel like on some biological level, if you cut
- 59:10Speaker 5: even into the non bulb park, you's still technically plant.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Matter how you team feel about that, Does either team
- 59:17Speaker 1: feel like he's plant or meat?
- 59:19Speaker 2: If you're willing to get fast and loose with the
- 59:21Speaker 2: ethics in the way that the bulldos on may if
- 59:25Speaker 2: you want to take it, you know, a little bit
- 59:26Speaker 2: step further. I know, I know a really good hit
- 59:29Speaker 2: on Chan guy. If you just you know once, once
- 59:35Speaker 2: you sort of remove the facial features, it's a lot
- 59:39Speaker 2: easier to get through it. The box are the best part. Yeah,
- 59:44Speaker 2: that's that's flesh. That's something like like that's meat. Oh god,
- 59:50Speaker 2: this feels like that like the underground, like super high end,
- 59:53Speaker 2: like you you're so rich you need to eat human meat?
- 59:55Speaker 1: Now? This is Pokemon.
- 59:58Speaker 3: I think, I I think I I have a perspective
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: on this too, because similarly I chose Tropius, not four Tropius.
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: For those who don't know, is the long necked like
- 1:00:10Speaker 3: leaf Pokemon with three bananas on his shin delicious?
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: Delicious?
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: I didn't have any bananas. No, no, I have a
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: full tasting menu for a Tropius. Here all parts of
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: the tropius. I'm gonna start off with a wagyu short
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: rib cut served with perilla leaf one of its little
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: like neck leaves. A starter, yes, chef braised knuckles, spicy
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: broth served with banana peel noodles and top with banana flowers.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: Julianne on there banana leaf wrapped coconut sticky rice on
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: fry plantain.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: We have to have the chat vote one, so using
- 1:00:47Speaker 4: all parts of the tropias, fry up that plantain.
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: Real nice. That sounds pretty delicious.
- 1:00:52Speaker 5: I assume this is being served at your Chicago based
- 1:00:54Speaker 5: restaurant called the Ursa Ring. There's the bad joke, the
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: best comedy of the year. We're all having a fun time.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: I think it's meat and plant No. I see that
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: it's similar in line to the bulbosol. But if you
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: don't mind me being showing a bit of bias and
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: better older, Have you got any ideas to add to
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: your team? Just if there's a gastronomical Pokemon.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: I had a similar I should have planned a backup.
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: Mine was the Alolan executor because it also has the
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: long neck. And I know a lot of a lot
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: of high end foods involve some sense of like going
- 1:01:42Speaker 4: back to the basics, but also an experiential situation. And
- 1:01:46Speaker 4: so I think, like an egg on the top, but
- 1:01:49Speaker 4: you must climb the fancy ladder in order to set
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: there feels a very experientialtant.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: I can imagine, and I love it.
- 1:01:59Speaker 4: Yes, and so you have to you have to be
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: a part of the experience. It'll take you back to
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: your youth eating eaten eggs. But when you too short
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: to to see over the table, I don't know.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: I'm just said a coconut tree to pick the eggs. Yeah,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: and then table.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: I was just thinking, I'm trying. I could not stay
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: still as a child, and so I often would like
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: stand at the table and eat and then run, I'm dying.
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: Come back standing table, I add I was going to
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: defend bulblesor for a second, saying like well it was
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: a French chef. It's kind of like a frog. I
- 1:02:40Speaker 5: was playing on the frog. But screw that, Audre, that's
- 1:02:44Speaker 5: a dragon type Pokemon. Who here's eating dragon before?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: None of you.
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: That is Michelin star worthy. Incredible that we sit down
- 1:02:54Speaker 5: and go I wanted the dragon please.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Yes, we will take things to the chats. Look just
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: mentioned for the hit on chance, as I mentioned for
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: the Tropists, we've got order with the dragon, ash with
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: the dragons. There the tie delicate. Yeah, I think.
- 1:03:08Speaker 5: Nobody said which honestly, given the other choice on the menu,
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: I don't blame you.
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: Dish to the dragon, right, No dragon?
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: Yes, technically he's a poison type action that I'm saying
- 1:03:24Speaker 5: that out loud. It's it's like the fucking the fish
- 1:03:28Speaker 5: from the Simpsons, the food fish. Properly you can die,
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: so it's risky too.
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: Yes, all right. I think Jason is the first person
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: to get a duplicate vote. Oh there there's a triple soson.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: I'm really glad I got put on the team with
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: the chef.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: I can't wait to see that on the menu at
- 1:03:48Speaker 5: your food truck. Jason on the Safari Zone throwing balls
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: and tropy. This is like, come on, ery stock.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Oh it gets the true true fusion food. Okay, here's
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: your next question. Where's the worst place to be caught
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: playing Pokemon? Go thank you?
- 1:04:12Speaker 4: I would say.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: I think in the dark under some really light sheets
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: while in bed, and you're like placed it perfectly, and
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: they're like, what are you spinning back there? And we're like,
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: don't worry about it. Can you stop tapping spinning the
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: disc so to speak.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I'm raiding.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: I haven't played Pokemon going a very long time. I
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: just remember twirling my finger on my phone a lot
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: in circular motions.
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like, uh if because there are poke
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: stops in weird locations and people will hunker down.
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: Uh.
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: Probably a funeral for someone you don't.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Know shore like a you're the partner of, like a
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: cousin's friend kind of thing, or like if.
- 1:05:02Speaker 4: It's in the same place, like I know. Churches can
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: be used for either a christening for you're just like
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: in the act of a christening, like there's.
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: A magic car with the holy water.
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: Sorry, I just have to come up here and touch
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: this real quick. I'm not in range.
- 1:05:18Speaker 5: I will add on tears and say like, yeah, the
- 1:05:20Speaker 5: cemetery area, there's like always the pokops and the cemeteries.
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: Yep.
- 1:05:24Speaker 5: And at a certain time of night they do come
- 1:05:27Speaker 5: and close the gate to the cemeteries. You have to
- 1:05:29Speaker 5: jump the fence take it out if you get locked in.
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Speaking from experience, then uh huh.
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: From that area, I will say so it was a
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: one time problem.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Maculate.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, do they do more ghost types at cemeteries?
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: Is that.
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: My first mouth?
- 1:05:50Speaker 5: My first ghastly back in the day, cemetery like the
- 1:05:54Speaker 5: church near my house.
- 1:05:54Speaker 3: You got like night vision Gagos and there's groundskeeper was
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: just like what are you doing? And You're like, I
- 1:05:59Speaker 3: mean silk.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Co No, it was legitimately.
- 1:06:03Speaker 5: I've played in multiple cemeteries, but the one near my
- 1:06:06Speaker 5: old apartment, I remember being there one sitting like it
- 1:06:09Speaker 5: was this like little like three or four tombstone cemetery
- 1:06:13Speaker 5: next to a church, like not getting off, which is
- 1:06:14Speaker 5: like next to the parking lot. So it like didn't
- 1:06:16Speaker 5: feel weird being there. And I remember like two guys
- 1:06:19Speaker 5: on motorbikes pulling up at like two in the morning
- 1:06:21Speaker 5: and being like what are you doing here? And I'm
- 1:06:22Speaker 5: like uh And they're like did you put the Lord here?
- 1:06:25Speaker 5: And I'm like, oh, you're playing Pokemon Go too shit, Okay,
- 1:06:30Speaker 5: But I would say, so there was this thing going
- 1:06:32Speaker 5: around a while ago where some guy was like catching
- 1:06:34Speaker 5: a pigy and like the screen shot was literally the
- 1:06:37Speaker 5: pigy on his wife who was giving birth.
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: Oh wow.
- 1:06:42Speaker 5: One worse than that is to go even further than
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: Jason did, and it's Pokemon Go wall in the act
- 1:06:48Speaker 5: of creating said child.
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Sure, yeah, I just like throwing off an ultra bowl climate. Now,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: that's the grossest thing that's been said on this podcast.
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: In a in a in a similar vein, I was
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: just gonna say sex cruise, yeah, because because not only
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: is it just kind of bad manners to be playing
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Pokemon Go while you're, you know, in the act of
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: of that, but also like you're in the middle of
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: open water, so the choice of Pokemon has just got
- 1:07:26Speaker 2: to be very limited. Like it's going to be war types.
- 1:07:30Speaker 4: Is it worth it to you?
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: Yeah, Like, after you've caught you like six magic carp
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: it's like, all right, I mean, I guess I'll go
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: back to the sex.
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: I guess, But.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: How many away from a Garrettos would that make you?
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: You know?
- 1:07:45Speaker 5: I'm also for some reason picturing like the eyes Winde
- 1:07:48Speaker 5: shut mask style thing for a sex party in their Pokemon.
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: So it's they're like, we both have a sex edition
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: and a Pokemon edition. Addiction, how do we how do
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: we accommodate this?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: No?
- 1:08:01Speaker 4: I think that just makes it the now for you
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: the best time to be playing Pokemon Go.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: Yeah, you know that's that's good. I didn't. I expected
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: a couple of those answers, but not sex cruise. All
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: definitely either embarrassing or shameful or interesting. So yeah, chat,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: where where do you think, out of the places named,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: is the worst place to be caught playing Pokemon Go? Okay,
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: so far we've got very saying it was close. But
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I've got to give it to Drew for the cum joke.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Thanks for spelling out the mucky mucky joke.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: M I just can't. I keep thinking. I know, it's
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: like a few a few games back, like a couple
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: of rounds back, but I keep thinking about who is
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: funding the Pokemon centers. Yeah, they do keep getting bigger,
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: but we're not giving them money, and that I don't
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: think there's a structured government in do.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: You know it's dark Pokemon money?
- 1:08:59Speaker 3: Well on, you know, I was gonna say, like, I
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: didn't want to support their answer, but I think Nurse
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: Joy has considerable amount of resources because wherever you black out,
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: they will grab your ass back into the hospital. But
- 1:09:11Speaker 3: it also says you blacked out, you lost half your money. Yeah,
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: who's taking my money?
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: Oh rescue services?
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: When we found you, like every time they bring you
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: back to the hospital, when we found you, you had
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: half your money left in your wallet. I don't know,
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: I don't know what's happening.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: I think it's Office of Jenny. They've got like a rocket.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: It's always the cops.
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: Was like, why are you blacking because your Pokemon fainted?
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: Because Nurse Jenny's right behind you with a club.
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: I just put ash in the chat, just saying all
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: of them are horrific.
- 1:09:48Speaker 5: They have two more votes of funerals. So I think
- 1:09:50Speaker 5: that's that's all true.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I think it's gonna be bonus point
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: for older that for sure. All right, that is the
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: end of the round. Let's use a rotom to count
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: like the latest scores. Do they ever care about being
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: used as everyday devices? Is it not the same as
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: trying to use your pet dog as a dishwasher? Hey,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: my cats do the pre rints.
- 1:10:15Speaker 4: They love it. They love it.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Yeah, those scores are me drew are on twelve points.
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: The Goose Lords still in the lead with fourteen points.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Nice closing that gap. Yes, Round three next, but first
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: gate Leapers is brought to you by Carvana, not the
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: online used car dealership the pokemon sharpedo fin soup. Yes, okay.
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Round three is called Ordinary. It's like Pictionary, but with sound,
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: hence Ordinary plus it sounds a bit like Ordinary, which
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: is clever. In turn, our players will be given the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: name of a Pokemon. Then, using up to three sounds,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: they must communicate that Pokemon to their teammate, who will
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: guess for either three, two or one point, depending on
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: how many sounds they need to hear. Your sound can
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: be a few seconds long. You cannot use any real words,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: and that includes the pokemon's name, but you can make
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: nonsense or gibberish sounds. You can't use your hands, but
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: when we've played this game in the past, it's become
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: apparent I can't stop you doing anything with your face.
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Facial expressions are allowed, interesting and to keep things guessable.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: All of the Pokemon in this game will be from
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: the original one five to one, Okay, so we're not
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: going so crazy with it. No guzz lord, no guzz lord.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: And we'll do an easy pass with easier Pokemon to yes,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and then we'll do one that I think is basically
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: going to be impossible, but we'll have fun with it, okay.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: And so just just so we're all on the same page,
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: let's practice with Pikachu. So if you were all given Pikachu, Drew,
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: if if you were given Pikachu, what sound would you make? Me?
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: There we go. That sounds sounds pretty good to me.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: We'll all practice. What have you got for this? What
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: would you say? Yeah? In the electricity, I like it.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: I like it, especially if you can stack sounds on
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: top of each other, so it's like you could do
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: an electric sound that you could do a little mouse sound.
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: Jason, I was going to go very similar. It was
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: going to go yeah, yeah, just to get the electrical
- 1:12:41Speaker 3: and it's going.
- 1:12:41Speaker 4: To do the same thing as Drew. And Oh, I
- 1:12:44Speaker 4: don't want to say the name is the thing that's
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: the hard part. That's the hard part.
- 1:12:48Speaker 6: Ah, just like Pikachu, just like Peachu, whatever you have before.
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: Ship It's because I was trying to be like, is
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: this because I that was what I wanted to do?
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: But is that too close to peak? It's just the vowel.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: I think we found the line. I think we found
- 1:13:09Speaker 3: the line, all right. I also like that we're both
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: are both teams are in sync with where they're going
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: to go.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: Yes, should should help communicate. So first up, we're going
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: to have Drew making sounds for Audra. So I'm going
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: to message a Pokemon to Drew via discord. Now ahem, Okay, okay,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: I'm locked in. Okay, that was a good sound. I
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: like that sound interesting. Any idea is Auldra for that one?
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: I think it's gonna be So it's gonna be a
- 1:13:39Speaker 4: probably a three syllable.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Bulbas it is. Indeed, that's yeah, well played well.
- 1:13:55Speaker 4: BOTHO was my favorite starter.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Oh yes, sad guess okay, me too, But.
- 1:14:02Speaker 4: I'm okay. All of us love Bulbo sor. It's our
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: favorite of the genuine starters.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: But I'm I'm a I'm a squattle girl myself. You
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: say that a loud feels weird squirrel spot.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: I am too. For the sake of this, I am too. Well. Yeah, well,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: good team synergy. That Yeah, the gus loads can both
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: be squat squatt girls.
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: Okay, Charmander, you're a comfortable switch to it sounds like,
- 1:14:31Speaker 5: which is probaty convenient as well.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: Okay, so next up, we're gonna have Aiden for Jason.
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: I saw aid I've messaged you a Pokemon via discord. Okay, okay, okay,
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: first sound whenever you're ready.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: Oh, I'm just really aware that I have neighbors and it's.
- 1:14:49Speaker 5: Like cobs are gonna show up, be like we heard
- 1:14:54Speaker 5: some animals being tortured in here?
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Nice? Is that you puff? Fantastic? That was very good.
- 1:15:08Speaker 2: I was going he was so close to miming as well.
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: I was like, I can't microphone. Oh dude, if I
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: got side, i'd be I'd be up to hear like.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: The whole time. Yeah, no, that would have been That
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: would have been a d Q if you have done
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: the hand of mine. But three points, I'm gonna be
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: so ship at this game. Thank you. Great. Okay, Next up,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: we're gonna have Uldra for Drew. Back on over okay
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: to the ghost Lords, gonna show what you're on your phone.
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: You're gonna stand it to her properly. Yeah, definitely, because otherwise,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: otherwise you'll see the other answers that were on here.
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: So yeah, Audra, if you got the got the Pokemon,
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: make it the first sound whenever you're ready. That wasn't it, Okay, Okay,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: I'll allow it. That's that's my kindness of game. Okay, yeah,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: I'll accept that.
- 1:15:58Speaker 3: I have no idea what that is, but it's sounded great.
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: I'm trying to do you too, where I'm like, okay,
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: it's like the multiple syllables. The last one's the same
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: thing twice there.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: Yeah, link from Legend of Zelda. Link's a B. Yes.
- 1:16:12Speaker 4: I've tried not to provide any additional information with words,
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: but I know it's just silence on my part.
- 1:16:17Speaker 5: It's like part we wants to hear it again, but
- 1:16:19Speaker 5: I was like to do it again, So I guess
- 1:16:21Speaker 5: to get another clue because I'm not confident I've really
- 1:16:23Speaker 5: really bad.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Yeah, you can take a completely free guess. We'll just
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: move on to the next sound if you wanna. If
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: you want to take a guess, is it manky? It's
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: not manky, It's not I see why you would think that. Okay,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: you can either take an attempt at the same noise
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: or you can make a different kind of noise.
- 1:16:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna do a different noise.
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Okay, oh fascinating, Okay, Oh maybe yeah, combine those two noises.
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: Maybe I think I got it? Is it me out?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: It is for me? That's that's right. I heard it.
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I was like, ah, he came.
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: Out of my mouth, and I was like, that sounds
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: like a monkey. I was like that that absolutely does not.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure. Like the first noise that you made,
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: first noise that he made by accident, is like a
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: noise that the team rocket in mealth would make when
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: he's like distressed.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: They're just like, okay, and yeah, last in this past,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: We're going to have Jason for aident. I'll also message
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: you regular text. Okay, okay, you ready, Jason? Yeah, make
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: your first noise? Oh allow that one continuous breath? Uh?
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Is it a haunter?
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: Oh that's a very good guess, but it is not haunter.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Second noise, Jason, second noise.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: I've I skipped I skipped an evolution, didn't I It's get.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Yes, yes, the lick at the end would also have
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: made me think of hornter as well, but ghastly does
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: I did think about that because all of them have
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: their tongues out.
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: Actually, Ghastly, Ghastly don't have tongue, Gassie don't have tongue.
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure Ghastlie don't use tongue.
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: Yeah, that's where one evolves are so quickly, that's true
- 1:18:25Speaker 10: once you start using kunnelingis you evolved?
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: Why is this like?
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: How is the Pokemon episode the dirtiest episode?
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: I know, right, you mean, what do you mean this
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: is clean? I've got a clean script in apart from
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: the toilet thing, but it's cleaned apart from that. Okay, well, look,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: I think you all did excellently that some some fantastic
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: noises communicated Pokemon very clearly. Do you do some impossible ones?
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: From the one I want to challenge gets stupid here?
- 1:18:57Speaker 4: As long as we've preferred since that we've prefers to this,
- 1:19:00Speaker 4: it's insane, like insanely difficult ones. If one of us
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: gets one of these, I think it's a victory.
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: So I just randomized a Pokemon like randomizer one five
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: one Pokemon and put whatever was there. So that's what
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: you're getting. And first up dream for Audra trying to wait,
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: do I do a noise?
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: Or do.
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: Me.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Okay, it's a good noise.
- 1:19:28Speaker 4: Oh it's tough because I only remember some of the pokemons.
- 1:19:34Speaker 2: Think about the poker rap, think of the poke, think
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: of the I always.
- 1:19:43Speaker 4: Let's just weeping Bell.
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: It's not weeping Bell. Could we get it? And I'll try,
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: I'll try to change it up a little bit. Okay,
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: very good, Venonette. Oh I see what I see what
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: you do. It's not Vanonett. You still got a chance
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: for one point with one more. Noise is a weird one. Yeah, okay,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: I think those three sounds together.
- 1:20:11Speaker 4: I don't my gens. They blend as me drill.
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: It's still yees, still gen one. But no, it's not tangil.
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: I'm afraid, Drew. Do you want to reveal who it was?
- 1:20:20Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:20:21Speaker 5: It was a magnet on actually my favorite from the first.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Gen, so magnet noise. I enjoyed your second noise of like.
- 1:20:29Speaker 5: Yeah, like just two like pieces of metal clang together
- 1:20:32Speaker 5: like magnets.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: Magnets. How do they sound? It's hard?
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: Yeah, during that I did when you said weepin Bell,
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: I did think of remember that victory Bell is a
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: really good scream from the.
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: Went there as well.
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: I was like if I ever get Victory Bell, I'm
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: just gonna look at Aden and be like it just
- 1:20:57Speaker 3: screamed all the time and just eight James.
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: James wanted, all right, well, next up it is going
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: to be Aiden for Jason. I've just messaged you a
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: tricky Pokemon. Okay, yeah, the first noise whenever you're ready.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: M hmm.
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: That wasn't the noise.
- 1:21:24Speaker 8: That was me thinking, yeah, this is the content we want.
- 1:21:37Speaker 3: How stupid with this answer? Do I want to throw
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: this away?
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: Three points right? I'm I'm tempted to go towards Grimer. Okay,
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: see what you see what you're doing with that noise?
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: But it's not Grimer, it's not second noise Aiden.
- 1:22:04Speaker 8: Wow.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: Yeah, combine those two noises. Is it tent to cool? Oh,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: it's not tend to cool? But you could not be warmer.
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: But I would like to hear one make the audio
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: clues there if it's in the same evolutionary line, I've
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: got to I've got to.
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: Okay, he's gonna get it. Yeah, sound, and so I'll
- 1:22:31Speaker 2: just give it. I'll just give you another one of these.
- 1:22:36Speaker 4: For free. Terrible business practices.
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: Tend to cruel. It is indeed that I just heard
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: a little bit more more spite.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: I either cruel, you know that's what That's what it was.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: That's what noises awesome.
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: So the pressure is off me. We decided we only
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: needed to get one so I can be nonsense. Gotcha,
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: gotcha good?
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: Noise is good. Guess just had to access my data
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: bank of soft creatures, just.
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: Going on a scale from like dry to sloppy.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: Alright, Gutra is not in this generation. Okay, Ultra whenever
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: you're ready.
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: Also going to give things away free on the internet.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: Oh did that make a noise? I heard? I heard it.
- 1:23:33Speaker 5: I heard that tongue lap. I will take the obvious
- 1:23:37Speaker 5: first guess and go, is it a lucky tongue?
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: It is like, wow, now.
- 1:23:46Speaker 3: I'm gonna say, I know you said you were gonna
- 1:23:48Speaker 3: get a free day the ternet. I was standing next
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: to you and I you could not pay me for
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: that content. That was mis I do you know your
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: tongue was that long?
- 1:24:00Speaker 4: We're learning more.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: It's a revealing episode that would evolve a ghastly Oh
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: my goodness. Yeah, full three points there for the randomized hell.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Very smart going for the tongue instead of trying to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: say the name of the pokemon.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: You said, you can't stop us from what our faces do.
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: Yeah, they won't let me yet.
- 1:24:27Speaker 5: Yeah, I was awed. Apply, I just had to take that.
- 1:24:31Speaker 5: Next time, it'll be like Lily a black curt with
- 1:24:33Speaker 5: a hole for your mouth. This house hold on, all right?
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: And finally, a last last question. Last these aren't questions?
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: What are these?
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: A last conundrums? The last problem of this round, Jason,
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: I've just messaged you the name of your randomly generated pokemon.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: You ready, always a good stup?
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Ready, that's not your sound, right, Let me think, let me,
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: let me get my composure. You gonna get my tongue.
- 1:25:09Speaker 2: I've got both headphones on. Just just send it.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: If you don't get this that was randomized when you
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: started having that conversation. I was looking at what was
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: written down here and I was like, oh god, what's
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: so funny?
- 1:25:35Speaker 3: Is my sound sounds nothing like? It was actually pretty bad.
- 1:25:39Speaker 3: It's awful. But the fact that we were referenced to earlier,
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: that is so funny.
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. I was someone would get that one
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: of the sounds.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: Can't control what the faces do. You could just try
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: and do the face just.
- 1:25:55Speaker 3: Like my pokemon was Oh yeah, what does that say?
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: What are you doing with that thing?
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: Okay, that is the end of round three. Let's ask Alekazam,
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: who has an IQ of five thousand, to calculate the
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: latest scores tie them mew twos. So who's the real threat?
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: You know? Jesus h Okay, the Guzzlords are on twenty
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: four points, Mew Drew are on twenty one points. Wow,
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: and Victor Bell just totally saved you there. Absolutely.
- 1:26:27Speaker 4: I was so hopeful after that lick a tongue that
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: would be like we have this.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: But hey, look, as regular listeners will know, it can
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: all change in the quick fire round. But before we
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: get to the final quick fire round, let's talk prizes.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: This episode's star prize is the concept of animal companionship.
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: I think everyone on our panel today has pets, so
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: we all know how important our furry friends are to
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: our well being and mental health. Okay, now make them
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: fight for sport and money and fame and glory, starting
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: to understand why Peter feels the way he does.
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: So.
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: But our winning team will also receive all of my
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: useless energy cards from the last two years of opening
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: Old christa printed card stock. Okay, up next is our
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: crucial quick fire around. But first we must play one
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: final set of ads. But actually, before that, a word
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: from our sponsor. For this episode, collect the latest Pokemon
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: TCG expansion, Stellar Crown today and battle friends with the
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: new Stellar type Pokemon. Oh thanks, we're not supposed to.
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: We're live on camera. We're not supposed to.
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: Sorry, Sorry, it's here.
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: I know, I know, It's just we weren't. It was
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: supposed to be private between us. Our final quick fire
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: around will test your broader pop culture knowledge and it's
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: all to the gym leader challenge. In this game, I
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: will read a list of four names from pop culture history.
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: Those will be the names of four characters or people
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: who would all train a certain type of Pokemon if
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: they were gym leaders in the Pokemon world. Okay, there
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: is a classic gate Leapers twist. Of course, you need
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: to say, ha, you won't defeat my type Pokemon in
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: your best dramatic anime voice. Whatever the answer is, whatever
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: the type Pokemon matches these four names. That's how you
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: got to say, Eh, it's quick fire, so buzz in
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: by yelling or whispering. If it's one am your team name.
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: So let's practice that.
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: Now I'm gonna use my name because I in my
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: Panic state, I typically go ah ah, so it works.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: Good stuff, good stuff. So for example, if I said
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: so Beck Michael Phelps Ariel.
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: I first, Yeah, when was the phrase you can't beat
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: my water type Pokemon? Yeah, you won't defeat high Pokemon.
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: But it's indeed, it is indeed.
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: I'll up if the voice one. I have to remember
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: the phrase. Yeah, yeah, absolutely, it's a lot. It's a
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: long phrase. But if I hear as long as I
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: hear that, feel like you're an anime gym member. Yeah,
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: it's all good. Absolutely, Okay, you can interrupt me at
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: any point. Are we already? Yes, here we go more goth, donkey, Hiccup.
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: I think that's with the with the would.

- 1:30:01Speaker 3: Is indeed dragon type? Yes, because what was it? It
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: was donkey, it was it.
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: Was more donkey, Hiccup and scat target.
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: I was thinking of the characters themselves and not the
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: things that they're associated with.
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: Sure, sure there will be a bit of crossover there,
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: but they could they all can talk, so they could
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: all be trainers. I think is the way the way
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: I've gone.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: I'm getting I'm with it now.

- 1:36:39Speaker 1: good stuff. And do you want to shout out your
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: personal socials just if anyone in the chat? Yeah, you can.
- 1:36:43Speaker 5: Also just find me on all social media platforms at
- 1:36:46Speaker 5: boxless thought, that's Twitter, threads, Instagram. I think I can
- 1:36:50Speaker 5: have the TikTok for it. I'm funny sometimes on the internet,
- 1:36:54Speaker 5: as you saw today, but only sometimes incredible.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: You're very very funny today, Drew. If not contributing to
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: the rudeness, a little someone else who was contributing to
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: the rudeness, Aidan. You co run the accessible queer theater
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: company rickety Fidgets and you just finished a run at
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: the Edinburgh Fringe. What was that experience?
- 1:37:16Speaker 2: Like it was so tiring? No, it was it was
- 1:37:21Speaker 2: really really like rewarding, Like we learned a lot about
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: ourselves and about like what that process is, but also
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: like met a lot of really cool people, had some
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: really like generous audiences come in bagged ourselves, like a
- 1:37:34Speaker 2: little four star review nice, which is like, was a
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: nice surprise because we wouldn't go in for that, But yeah,
- 1:37:41Speaker 2: like that was that was a lot of fun. We
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: are still kind of recovering from that. I think, like
- 1:37:46Speaker 2: I was really sick afterwards, and now Elle is really
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: sick like that. So we're planning new stuff soon once
- 1:37:55Speaker 2: we are both fully assured. But yeah, at rickety Fidgets
- 1:37:59Speaker 2: on all the social media stuff, you can see what
- 1:38:02Speaker 2: we're going to do next.
- 1:38:03Speaker 1: Nice, Yeah, lovely stuff. Absolutely recommend checking out any rickety
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: Fidgets project whenever it pops up. We had the fortunate
- 1:38:12Speaker 1: chance in time and space, given that we live in
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: a different country, to be there and see their later
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: show Souvenirs at the Fringe, and it was so good. Yeah,
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: it was fantastic. They're doing some great stuff there. Yes,
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: and a huge thank you to Ash and Adam justin Dodburg,
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: Aaron Randolph, and Derek and Taylor for their continued support
- 1:38:31Speaker 1: at the highest tier over at patreon dot com. Forward
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: slash Gates Leepers, you are our executive producers, so only
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: you can stop Detective bak at you two from happening.
- 1:38:43Speaker 3: I would love for that, but then too, some of
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: them are in the chat right now.
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: So hello, he thank you, thank you so much. Okay,
- 1:38:50Speaker 1: let's get to the final scores, and oh boy, was
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: it close at the end of the Look, maybe some
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: there's going to be some calls that were contested throughout
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: that this very much could be anyone's game. I know
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: Jason was looking for redemption against Drew in this this
- 1:39:05Speaker 1: Pokemon battle, this this field. I forgot about that, but yes, yeah,
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: totally it was. Well. The guz Lords finish on twenty
- 1:39:14Speaker 1: eight points. Nice good score. Not the majority of eleven,

- 1:39:39Speaker 1: you feel, Jason live live microphone reaction? A bit warm.
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: It's my main feeling and emotion right now. Everything else
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: is kind of washed over me.
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: I'm very hot in this.
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: It just means you've got to have an actual other
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: Pokemon battle against Drew. That's true. I gotta do that.
- 1:39:56Speaker 1: I gotta you play Pokemon. You night, Drew, you wanna
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: do you want to? I can get back on that.
