- 0:22Along with all her chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:29Good morning from the chicken. A coupe, you know, we have lots
- 0:32of little chicks running around here right now while they're
- 0:34kind of like teenagers now. I think maybe like tweens let's
- 0:39say they are, they're probably tweens right now but we've got a
- 0:41chicken sitting on a bunch of other eggs and that got me
- 0:44thinking about how eggs are like ideas, right?
- 0:48Their intentions, you know, she decides she wants to sit on some
- 0:52eggs and all of a sudden those intentions in those eggs are
- 0:56sitting in there and they're percolating, they're becoming
- 0:59something. And it made me realize how many
- 1:03eggs are we as human sitting on that.
- 1:06We don't actually pay attention to and really like make them
- 1:12happen because this is what's tricky about eggs for people
- 1:16that don't know takes 21 days for an egg to hatch, like honest
- 1:20to God. It's 21 days from the time.
- 1:23She sits on it till the time it stops.
- 1:25If she sits on them consistently for 21 days.
- 1:29It has to have that number. So what's funny about it is you
- 1:33have some new mom chickens who just don't focus and they get up
- 1:37and they forget what they're doing and they're they all get
- 1:39up and walk off for a little while.
- 1:41But you've got to make it the biggest number of your hours in
- 1:43a day to see the eggs hatch. And I think myself, gosh, this
- 1:47is so much like ideas, this is just exactly what happens with
- 1:51ideas. You know, we have all these
- 1:54ideas, IE these little eggs and we put them in our nest in our
- 2:00head. And then we kind of sit on them
- 2:03but we don't actualize them, we don't bring them into fruition,
- 2:06we don't put the consistent effort in to make them happen so
- 2:11we don't end up with anything hatching and then we get
- 2:13frustrated and we go well, these eggs suck and we want to throw
- 2:17them out but it's not that's not how it works.
- 2:20It's not that's not the issue. The issue is we haven't put the
- 2:25effort in. So here on the farm we have one
- 2:29particular chicken. I I've got 38 hens and this one
- 2:34particular hand, you've heard me talk about her before.
- 2:36Winnie is an outstanding mom, she just is the best mom, the
- 2:41big, the tween group that I was just talking about our from her,
- 2:44she doesn't lose babies. She's very good with them.
- 2:47She nurtures them, she teaches them how to scratch and hunt and
- 2:51she raises really awesome. Hens, and we have a group of we
- 2:55call them the gray girls. The gray girls are full grown
- 2:57now and they are some of the best hunters.
- 3:00And they are some of the best chickens on the farm.
- 3:05They are so smart. They crack me up and when he
- 3:09actually adopted them because I walked into Tractor Supply and
- 3:12saw a bunch of them there by themselves, brought them home
- 3:15had a whole conversation with her about it because they
- 3:18weren't in eggs and she adopted them that's a story for another
- 3:22day. But the point is, she raised
- 3:25them with this absolute ability to go out.
- 3:30Out and do everything because she's consistent and then she
- 3:34has all these other ones that she's hatched out.
- 3:37And this latest group of babies that she hatched out, I was
- 3:40joking around and I said it was like they went to a self
- 3:42development seminar because they are so smart, so big.
- 3:46So independent, so fast, it was she's gotten so good at it, that
- 3:51they are just on point. And it's just drilling to watch
- 3:55it because she pours the effort it now, I've got Marilyn Monroe.
- 4:00Who's a chick that I hatched out a couple years ago.
- 4:03She's full grown down and she is gone Broody and she wants to sit
- 4:07on eggs. So we decided to let her do it
- 4:10and we'll see what kind of a mom.
- 4:12She is, but again, consistency matters.
- 4:14So she's been consistent and we'll see how it goes.
- 4:18Now this bring this all of this back to your own ideas.
- 4:23What eggs are you sitting on what ones have?
- 4:25You not decided that you're going to sit on consistently for
- 4:2921 days? I mean, she only He has to do it
- 4:31for 21 days. Sure.
- 4:32We might have to do it a lot. Longer bringing this podcast to
- 4:36you guys took a lot longer than 21 days but now I mean we are
- 4:41365 days that too as of tomorrow that we will be doing this and
- 4:47so holy cow it's crazy when you think about that and I just want
- 4:53to I just want to point out to you guys this whole entire
- 4:58process of whatever your Years are they're all going to be
- 5:02different times. It's not going to be, you know
- 5:04it. Oh, I'll have it done in 20 days
- 5:06or 21 days or 75 days whatever it might be.
- 5:10It's about the consistency. It takes to get you there but
- 5:14it's also about you being willing to realize that your
- 5:19ideas are those little eggs and you have to be willing to put
- 5:23the effort into them. Otherwise, they will not come to
- 5:27fruition, they will not hatch, and you will just sit there with
- 5:30a bunch. Bunch of fun actually lized
- 5:32ideas completely frustrated saying I don't understand what's
- 5:36happening because there's no effort being made.
- 5:39So stop, think about it, look at your ideas.
- 5:42See what eggs am I sitting on and which ones in my like, so,
- 5:45inconsistent with, they're never going to hatch.
- 5:48It's a great exercise. Just to give yourself a really
- 5:51high state of awareness. And for me, I love the metaphor.
- 5:55All right, my friends. I hope you have a blessed day
- 5:57and I will see you tomorrow. Bye.
- 5:30Bunch of fun actually lized ideas completely frustrated
- 5:35saying I don't understand what's happening because there's no
- 5:37effort being made. So stop, think about it, look at
- 5:41your ideas. See what eggs am I sitting on
- 5:44and which ones in my like, so, inconsistent with, they're never
- 5:46going to hatch. It's a great exercise.
- 5:49Just to give yourself a really high state of awareness.
- 5:52And for me, I love the metaphor. All right, my friends.
- 5:56I hope you have a blessed day and I will see you tomorrow.
- 5:59Bye.
