- 0:10Speaker 1: the hunter, the storyteller, the patriot, backwoods legend. And just
- 0:14Speaker 1: look at the logo. Look at the logo. It is

- 1:19Speaker 2: Some X responses coming in to our last segment. Gavin Mayo,
- 1:24Speaker 2: I'm going to give his full name. Gavin gives his
- 1:27Speaker 2: full name on X, which I'm reading it because I
- 1:30Speaker 2: appreciate it because most of the people who respond to
- 1:32Speaker 2: this have no avatar picture and have about 37 numbers. Burners.
- 1:37Speaker 2: And their name. So, yeah, this guy's actually putting his
- 1:39Speaker 2: name out there. So I appreciate that, Gavin. Gavin Mayo says,
- 1:42Speaker 2: I think you're misinterpreting the fan base. Not being soft
- 1:45Speaker 2: on Cam, but being hard on, quote, media who make
- 1:49Speaker 2: up a narrative for their clicks. I'm actually shocked you
- 1:52Speaker 2: and Hutton have fallen into the style you have. I
- 1:55Speaker 2: was a day one, midday 180 guy, and you all
- 1:58Speaker 2: are unrecognizable now.
- 2:00Speaker 1: How dare us talk about a team in a negative light?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Let's raise pom-poms to this organization, Jeff.
- 2:06Speaker 2: If you really are a day one, midday 180 guy,
- 2:08Speaker 2: then you know that we are very recognizable to what
- 2:11Speaker 2: we've always been, right? Our co-host on that show, Paul Kuharski,
- 2:15Speaker 2: was the guy who got called out by the fan
- 2:17Speaker 2: base for all time for being too hard on the
- 2:21Speaker 2: Titans with tough questions, right? We are always going to
- 2:25Speaker 2: be honest about what's going on. We were on midday 180.
- 2:27Speaker 2: We are going to be on this show Hunt and
- 2:29Speaker 2: I are never going to sugarcoat anything. I deny that
- 2:33Speaker 2: we are unrecognizable right now based on us holding the
- 2:36Speaker 2: organization to account. An organization, Hunt, that you said hasn't
- 2:39Speaker 2: won two games in a row since John Robinson was
- 2:42Speaker 2: the damn GM. Yep.
- 2:43Speaker 1: And I would say, Gavin, we can take it.
- 2:46Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I would see if this organization will be as accountable.
- 2:54Speaker 1: That's all I'll say. The only thing recognizable about this
- 2:57Speaker 1: organization is losing.
- 3:00Speaker 2: Yes, fake narratives or making up a narrative. And I
- 3:04Speaker 2: asked them, I said, what narrative did we make up
- 3:07Speaker 2: about this team? Like, we've given you the stats about
- 3:09Speaker 2: this team. They've been bad. They weren't good enough in
- 3:12Speaker 2: the preseason for a second-year quarterback who was in the
- 3:17Speaker 2: game to get reps because they needed it. We're just
- 3:20Speaker 2: simply pointing that out.
- 3:21Speaker 1: We keep referencing these three wins where one of them,
- 3:26Speaker 1: you needed a damn player to fumble at the goal line.
- 3:30Speaker 1: For the other team to win.
- 3:33Speaker 2: Yeah. It's bad. And the whole last part of the
- 3:37Speaker 2: season when everything was a throwaway. Who was starting? Who
- 3:41Speaker 2: started for the Chiefs, by the way, late in the year?
- 3:43Speaker 2: Chris Olodekun?
- 3:44Speaker 1: I had never heard of him, Chad.
- 3:46Speaker 2: I didn't know. I was like, did this guy play
- 3:47Speaker 2: in college? I never heard of him. Never heard of
- 3:50Speaker 2: him in college football either. Haven't heard of him since.
- 3:52Speaker 2: TitanFanB writes in and says, Hey, at Chad Withrow, we
- 3:57Speaker 2: hear crickets. This is how we know you really didn't
- 4:00Speaker 2: pay attention to Cam Ward. What you said about Cam
- 4:02Speaker 2: Ward's accountability was entirely wrong. Now let's pay attention to
- 4:06Speaker 2: see if Chad's apology is as loud as his terribly
- 4:09Speaker 2: bad statement. Let me tell Titan fan B this and
- 4:12Speaker 2: anyone else who's demanding an apology. You won't get one
- 4:15Speaker 2: ever from me about this. I will hold Cam Ward accountable.
- 4:19Speaker 2: And what I'm talking about with Cam Ward in the
- 4:21Speaker 2: I asked statement is not about even his we asked statement.
- 4:25Speaker 2: It was a comical response to someone who, he was
- 4:29Speaker 2: asked a legitimate question by someone you claim is not
- 4:32Speaker 2: a reporter, but was granted access to a press conference
- 4:35Speaker 2: about how great his performance was. And his response was
- 4:37Speaker 2: to quiz the reporter on that and not answer the question.
- 4:41Speaker 2: I want the quarterback who has struggled to be up
- 4:44Speaker 2: front and say, yeah, it's not good enough. It's going
- 4:48Speaker 2: to get better. We're working to get better. But I
- 4:51Speaker 2: hold myself to a really high standard. And if that
- 4:54Speaker 2: standard is not met, it's not good enough. I'm going
- 4:56Speaker 2: to work every day. I'm the first one here. I'm
- 4:58Speaker 2: the last one to leave. I'm going to be the
- 5:00Speaker 2: one working to make sure that it gets better. That's
- 5:02Speaker 2: not difficult to say. And when you don't say that,
- 5:05Speaker 2: I need a little bit more accountability. And you should
- 5:08Speaker 2: demand that, too. Also, one overall pick.
- 5:11Speaker 1: I'm sorry. We're not we're not sitting here glazing over
- 5:14Speaker 1: Xavier Restrepo for a day when he gets cut the
- 5:17Speaker 1: final 24 hours later.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Oh, my God. And now that we're pissed off for greatness,
- 5:21Speaker 2: let me go ahead and say this, too. The tributes
- 5:23Speaker 2: to Will Levis that have come pouring in. Guys, look,
- 5:27Speaker 2: and I've seen this from Titans fans, media, like, man,
- 5:30Speaker 2: I know it didn't work out for Will Levis, but
- 5:32Speaker 2: really good guy, and we'll always have that Falcons game.
- 5:35Speaker 2: We'll always have that glorious Falcons performance.
- 5:37Speaker 1: His first start was his best start.
- 5:39Speaker 2: We'll always have that one Falcons game to remember, and
- 5:41Speaker 2: I'm thinking, this fan base has so little right now.
- 5:46Speaker 1: I know.
- 5:46Speaker 2: That they're holding on to Will Levis' one good start.
- 5:50Speaker 2: I know. His first ever start. It's crazy.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yep.
- 5:53Speaker 2: How are you not angry about this, Titans fans? It's
- 5:57Speaker 2: unbelievable to me.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Because it's all they have, Chad. It's the same thing.
- 6:02Speaker 1: If the Vols suck, it's a fan base. If you're
- 6:08Speaker 1: a passionate fan about your team, it's all you've got.
- 6:13Speaker 1: They can turn your mascot into a furry, into a
- 6:15Speaker 1: feral furry, and you can still root on T-Rex.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Well, but Tennessee Vols fans, let me defend the Tennessee
- 6:25Speaker 2: Vols fans or SEC fans out there. Most of them
- 6:28Speaker 2: are on the opposite end in that they just throw
- 6:30Speaker 2: in the towel quickly in a season.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And get really, really angry. Sure, but they still give
- 6:34Speaker 1: their money.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and then there are some that are going to
- 6:37Speaker 2: defend no matter what at all times and act like
- 6:38Speaker 2: everything's great, even if it's not so great, right?
- 6:41Speaker 1: That lady's going to call and cry, okay?
- 6:43Speaker 2: But the Titans fans I'm hearing from, they demand everyone
- 6:48Speaker 2: be a cheerleader. And everyone just talk about how great
- 6:51Speaker 2: this organization is and how it could be worse.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That is because of a media core that does nothing
- 6:56Speaker 1: but cheerlead on behalf of the organization. Yeah, I agree.
- 7:03Speaker 2: And so they're going to get mad at those that don't.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Chad, some debuts to pay attention to in the SEC.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Three quarterback debuts. I have a feeling we're going to
- 7:15Speaker 1: go to Rocky Top for one of them.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Faison Brandon is one that we've been talking a
- 7:22Speaker 2: lot about, right? I'm not saying that the Furman game
- 7:25Speaker 2: is going to be a big indicator of what his
- 7:27Speaker 2: season is going to ultimately be like, Hutton. But if
- 7:29Speaker 2: we're looking at quarterbacks that I'm excited to watch because
- 7:32Speaker 2: we have not seen them yet, he's close to the
- 7:35Speaker 2: top of the list just in this first game. It's
- 7:38Speaker 2: going to be kind of like Titans preseason and Cam Ward.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Very vanilla. I think offensively they're not going to try
- 7:43Speaker 2: a lot of things. I think any– different play is
- 7:46Speaker 2: probably going to be a setup for the Georgia Tech
- 7:48Speaker 2: game in what they run. It's going to be a
- 7:50Speaker 2: lot of the standard Josh Eiffel offense, a lot of
- 7:53Speaker 2: running the football, I'm sure, in this game against Furman.
- 7:55Speaker 2: It's get to halftime, get into the third quarter, get
- 7:58Speaker 2: up four, five, six scores, and get out of there.
- 8:02Speaker 2: And Furman's probably feeling the same way. Let's get our
- 8:04Speaker 2: starters out of the game also because they've got a
- 8:06Speaker 2: season to play. They don't want to get everybody injured.
- 8:08Speaker 2: But I'm fascinated to see him from this perspective. We've
- 8:12Speaker 2: heard about his work ethic. We've heard about him staying
- 8:15Speaker 2: in the month of May when everybody else left and
- 8:17Speaker 2: staying in the facility and doing all that. I want
- 8:19Speaker 2: to see his legs. I want to see him run
- 8:21Speaker 2: the football. That's not something I've seen a lot of.
- 8:23Speaker 2: I want to see what type of dimension that adds
- 8:26Speaker 2: to this hypo offense because we saw with Hendon Hooker
- 8:28Speaker 2: exactly what that could do. I'm going to say the
- 8:31Speaker 2: same about Keelan Russell at Alabama. We haven't really seen
- 8:36Speaker 2: this level of it. I want to see how Kalen
- 8:40Speaker 2: DeBoer and Ryan Grubb, they implement that in their offense,
- 8:43Speaker 2: his ability to be an athlete and to run the football.
- 8:47Speaker 2: I want to see how they utilize that in that
- 8:48Speaker 2: Bama offense. They play ECU. A lot of people are
- 8:51Speaker 2: making a big deal about the heat. It's going to
- 8:53Speaker 2: be hot all over the South Hut, and you say
- 8:55Speaker 2: this all the time. It's hot. It's pointless talking about it.
- 8:58Speaker 2: It's going to be hot in the first few weeks
- 8:59Speaker 2: of the season. It always is. It's going to be
- 9:02Speaker 2: really hot in Tuscaloosa for this Alabama ECU game. But
- 9:06Speaker 2: I want to see Kalen Russell play. The other one
- 9:08Speaker 2: to me is Kenny Minchey at Kentucky. We've heard so
- 9:12Speaker 2: much about this guy, Hutton, going back to Pope John
- 9:14Speaker 2: Paul II here in Nashville, right? We haven't really seen him.
- 9:17Speaker 2: We heard about how great he was at Notre Dame
- 9:19Speaker 2: and how he almost won the job but didn't. Now
- 9:23Speaker 2: Kentucky goes and pays. He was going to go to Nebraska,
- 9:25Speaker 2: if you remember, and he got out of that deal
- 9:28Speaker 2: and goes to Kentucky. He's getting paid a lot of
- 9:29Speaker 2: money to be the quarterback in Lexington. I'm excited to
- 9:33Speaker 2: watch him play. Shockingly enough, Youngstown State, who's a very
- 9:37Speaker 2: good FCS program usually, that's one of the closest lines
- 9:40Speaker 2: in the SEC this week. Kentucky's favored by 23.5 points
- 9:45Speaker 2: in that game, and I think it's the fourth closest
- 9:47Speaker 2: line outside of those power games happening, SEC versus other
- 9:52Speaker 2: power conferences. So I'm excited to see what Kenny Minchin
- 9:55Speaker 2: can do also. Those are the three guys I'm keeping
- 9:57Speaker 2: an eye on this weekend, making their debuts. Faison Brandon
- 10:00Speaker 2: Keelan Russell Kenny Minchie.
- 10:02Speaker 1: We should add one more or really two more in
- 10:05Speaker 1: one Blaise Berkowitz and Jared Curtis yeah in their first
- 10:10Speaker 1: debut I know they're playing Austin Peay but um they're
- 10:15Speaker 1: playing both quarterbacks and they're going to continue to play
- 10:18Speaker 1: both quarterbacks moving forward So, you know, Berkowitz named a starter, but,
- 10:26Speaker 1: I mean, Jared Curtis is going to be playing, and
- 10:29Speaker 1: at what point does he play well enough to take over?
- 10:33Speaker 1: And then is he getting as many reps as he
- 10:37Speaker 1: needs to before the gauntlet begins, what, week four, week
- 10:40Speaker 1: five for Vanderbilt whenever they go nonstop through the SEC,
- 10:44Speaker 1: the grind for a freshman quarterback?
- 10:47Speaker 2: If Blaise Berlowitz wasn't named the starter– Jared Curtis would
- 10:51Speaker 2: have absolutely been on my list that I just went
- 10:52Speaker 2: through there. He probably knocks Kenny Menchie off.
- 10:57Speaker 1: But Berlowitz should still be on there just based on
- 10:59Speaker 1: the fact that he's been named a starter.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Right. But Jared Curtis would be one. Look, I'm not
- 11:06Speaker 2: as intrigued by Blaise Berlowitz as I am Jared Curtis,
- 11:08Speaker 2: but maybe I should be because he won the job.
- 11:11Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying. I'm intrigued just because they didn't
- 11:13Speaker 1: give it to the guy making $ 2. 5 million or whatever.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Is it $ 2. 5 million?
- 11:17Speaker 2: I think it's probably more than that.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Really?
- 11:20Speaker 2: It's a lot. I mean, it's a multi-year deal, but
- 11:24Speaker 2: what do multi-year deals really mean in college football? But yeah,
- 11:27Speaker 2: I mean, you and I were both surprised when Berlowitz
- 11:30Speaker 2: was the guy, but I've heard a lot from Vandy
- 11:33Speaker 2: people who say, look, Tim Beck's offense is a complicated one,
- 11:37Speaker 2: and it really does make more sense when you sit
- 11:39Speaker 2: back and think about it that the guy's been with
- 11:41Speaker 2: him the longest is going to give them a really
- 11:43Speaker 2: good shot early on in the season. And probably Jared
- 11:47Speaker 2: Curtis with his talent, at some point along the way,
- 11:49Speaker 2: will win out once he gets a better grasp of
- 11:52Speaker 2: the offense. Could be true, but yeah, I'm excited to
- 11:55Speaker 2: watch them. It's tough to get excited about these games
- 11:57Speaker 2: where it's 45, 40, 48-point lines, 51-point spread in Missouri
- 12:03Speaker 2: over Arkansas Pine Bluff this week, but I am excited
- 12:06Speaker 2: to watch these quarterbacks because I think the guys we're
- 12:09Speaker 2: talking about, Hutt, give these offenses a different dimension of
- 12:14Speaker 2: that we haven't seen in their most recent iterations. Ty
- 12:17Speaker 2: Simpson's a good athlete. Ty Simpson's not a design run
- 12:20Speaker 2: play guy, right?
- 12:21Speaker 3: Right, right.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Joey Aguilar's a good athlete. Joey Aguilar's not a guy
- 12:25Speaker 2: you're going to call a ton of design runs for also.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Faison Brandon's going to get some design run calls every game.
- 12:31Speaker 2: You know, he's going to be implemented in that rush
- 12:33Speaker 2: attack more so. Kenny Menchie, a very mobile, good quarterback.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Heard so much about him. He's more of a veteran
- 12:40Speaker 2: guy that's getting his first start at Kentucky, but I'm
- 12:43Speaker 2: excited to watch all these dudes.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Curtis projected NIL valuation of $ 2 million. Blaze, $ 1. 1 per year,
- 12:53Speaker 1: according to JT.
- 12:54Speaker 2: $ 1. 1 million. That's his valuation for Mon3?
- 12:58Speaker 1: For Blaze.
- 12:59Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know what they're making, but those valuations
- 13:03Speaker 2: are a good tool to look at to see what
- 13:05Speaker 2: at least the industry believes they should be making for
- 13:08Speaker 2: what they're doing.
- 13:10Speaker 1: It's Hutton and Withrow. We are presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 13:14Speaker 1: And stay tuned. More coming. We've got plenty to discuss
- 13:18Speaker 1: for Hard Rock and our predictions for AFC, NFC. We've
- 13:22Speaker 1: got that. Chad's making some bets there. And we hit
- 13:25Speaker 1: the headlines when we return here on Hutton and Withrow.
- 13:28Speaker 1: It is Hutton and Withrow. We are presented by Hard
- 13:31Speaker 1: Rock Bet. And we're on Sporting State. Glad you're with
- 13:35Speaker 1: us this morning. Sporting State founded by Clay Travis and
- 13:40Speaker 1: XXXY Athletics, founded by Jennifer Say, former national champion gymnast,
- 13:45Speaker 1: former Levi's brand president. She walked away from a corporate
- 13:48Speaker 1: job rather than to say something she didn't believe, and
- 13:50Speaker 1: she started XXXY Athletics instead. And the mission, in their words,
- 13:53Speaker 1: is to empower female athletes, take a stand for fair competition,
- 13:57Speaker 1: and they call it the T that launched the movement.
- 13:59Speaker 1: This is real athletic apparel, including the apparel for Nashville
- 14:03Speaker 1: Balls gear. Chad.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The Nashville Balls, are they back? Will they be here?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Those questions yet to be answered. We hope so because
- 14:11Speaker 2: a dynasty is forming in the WNBA with the Nashville Balls,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and you can be the first to get Nashville Balls
- 14:17Speaker 2: merchandise with XXXY. That's right. Tees, trucker hats out now.
- 14:21Speaker 2: If you want the shirt, that's where you get it.

- 14:34Speaker 1: Big news. We have partnered with Hard Rock Bet for
- 14:37Speaker 1: the entire– Season, and they're bringing us the odds, the lines, insights, analysis,
- 14:43Speaker 1: content all year long. And you can bet $ 5. You
- 14:46Speaker 1: can get $ 100 in bonus bets by going to hardrock.bet.com.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Download the Hard Rock Bet app today. Bet $ 5, get
- 14:54Speaker 1: $ 100 in bonus bets. hardrock.bet.com. Chad, you're making some futures today.
- 15:02Speaker 2: We are indeed, yes. We're looking at division winners in
- 15:06Speaker 2: the NFL today. And let's start with the AFC. And
- 15:09Speaker 2: this is what I'm going. I'm playing the long game here.
- 15:11Speaker 2: You know, much like we talked about with the Titans.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It's about game 18. You know, it's about week 18.
- 15:16Speaker 2: It's not about the start. It's about the finish here.
- 15:18Speaker 2: And we're going to finish strong with these picks for
- 15:21Speaker 2: AFC division winners. Give me Cincinnati in the AFC.
- 15:25Speaker 1: Wow, okay.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Hutton, I was really, really, really wanting to take the
- 15:28Speaker 2: big plus money on Pittsburgh. And Mike McCarthy's return with
- 15:32Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers. But I went with a little bit of
- 15:35Speaker 2: a safer bet from a numbers standpoint. I think Cincinnati
- 15:38Speaker 2: bounces back with Joey B this year. Joey Flacco coming
- 15:42Speaker 2: back as the backup quarterback in Cincinnati. Give me the
- 15:44Speaker 2: Bengals in an upset to win the AFC North. Another upset,
- 15:48Speaker 2: Denver Broncos plus money. I think they were third in line.
- 15:52Speaker 2: It was Chiefs, Chargers, and then Broncos. I like the
- 15:56Speaker 2: Broncos to get it done again this year. The Houston
- 15:59Speaker 2: Texans may be the easiest of the picks right now
- 16:01Speaker 2: for me in the AFC South. And the Buffalo Bills,
- 16:05Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be. The Patriots, given
- 16:08Speaker 2: their offseason and given that performance in the Super Bowl,
- 16:10Speaker 2: I don't think they're going to repeat as the division champ.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Give me the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Not the Patriots, not the Dolphins, not the Jets, but
- 16:21Speaker 1: the Buffalo Bills.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Certainly not the New York Jets. Did not even consider
- 16:27Speaker 2: them as a possibility.
- 16:29Speaker 1: See, I like the Chargers this year. I like Jim Harbaugh.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I like their run game. I think it'll be an
- 16:37Speaker 1: improved run game, let me put it that way. And look,
- 16:42Speaker 1: sometimes it takes a quarterback falling in love, and this
- 16:44Speaker 1: guy is smitten. This guy is smitten off the field.
- 16:48Speaker 1: He definitely is in love. It happened with Josh Allen.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It can happen with Justin Herbert.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I was surprised. I'm just looking at the Hard Rock
- 16:55Speaker 2: Bet numbers that in order, it was Chiefs, then Chargers,
- 16:59Speaker 2: then Broncos. I kind of thought Broncos might be the
- 17:02Speaker 2: second one in line there, but Hard Rock Bet and
- 17:04Speaker 2: the odds makers there, they're in line with you that
- 17:06Speaker 2: they really like the Chargers too. I realize they're studying
- 17:09Speaker 2: these based on where the public's going to go, but
- 17:14Speaker 2: that's just public money on the Chiefs.
- 17:18Speaker 1: I don't buy the Chiefs as winning this division. And
- 17:21Speaker 1: maybe we'll look back on this and be like, how
- 17:23Speaker 1: foolish with Patrick Mahomes. Patrick Mahomes, when's the last time
- 17:26Speaker 1: you thought about Patrick Mahomes?
- 17:29Speaker 2: It's been a while for me. When I watched Chris
- 17:31Speaker 2: Alotican or whatever his name was start for the Chiefs,
- 17:34Speaker 2: and I thought, man, oh, man, this team would be
- 17:36Speaker 2: a lot better with a healthy Patrick Mahomes.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Yes.
- 17:38Speaker 2: That's probably the last time I thought about him. I
- 17:41Speaker 2: guess I saw pictures of him at the Kelsey Swift wedding. Okay. Also,
- 17:44Speaker 2: I guess I thought about him then. It's a great question.
- 17:46Speaker 2: I don't think about Patrick Mahomes as often as I should.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Yeah, and he's coming off injury. You know?
- 17:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:51Speaker 1: So that's part of it. I'm kind of surprised it's
- 17:54Speaker 1: not the– you know, you've got– There is some tension.
- 17:59Speaker 1: There's some tension with quarterback and head coach in Denver
- 18:01Speaker 1: a little bit. Seems like anyway.
- 18:04Speaker 2: I think Sean Payton likes a little tension. I think
- 18:08Speaker 2: that fuels him. That gets him going. That gets him up.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Coming up later this week, by the way, I'm going
- 18:14Speaker 1: to have my top NFL coaches.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 18:17Speaker 1: We'll find out where Sean Payton is going to be
- 18:19Speaker 1: on my list. That will be a depth chart coming
- 18:21Speaker 1: up later in the week. We'll put that in. Yeah,
- 18:22Speaker 1: we're ready for that. Let's look at.
- 18:23Speaker 2: NFC division winners as I laid it out. The Los
- 18:28Speaker 2: Angeles Rams at minus 110. This is my highest confidence
- 18:32Speaker 2: pick in terms of a division champion.
- 18:35Speaker 1: Hey, how can you not go with this one, with
- 18:38Speaker 1: the Rams? They are like plus 500 or better odds
- 18:43Speaker 1: to win the Super Bowl right now.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Now, they're in a tough division, too. They've got the
- 18:47Speaker 2: defending Super Bowl champion there, too, which I did consider
- 18:50Speaker 2: with the Seahawks. But I love the Rams this year.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Give me the Rams and the NFC West. Give me
- 18:54Speaker 2: the Chicago Bears, another plus-money pick. They are third in
- 18:57Speaker 2: line numbers-wise to win the NFC North, but I like
- 19:01Speaker 2: this Bears team. I think they get it done. A
- 19:05Speaker 2: big surprise in the NFC East for me, the Cowboys.
- 19:08Speaker 2: This is the year, Hutton. We've been talking about it.
- 19:10Speaker 2: When is it going to be the year for the Cowboys?
- 19:12Speaker 2: They break through, and they get the best of the
- 19:14Speaker 2: Eagles this year. They win the NFC East, and let
- 19:18Speaker 2: Baker bake. Baker Mayfield is going to bake for the
- 19:21Speaker 2: Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. So I got Rams, Bears, Cowboys,
- 19:26Speaker 2: Bucs as my NFC division winners.
- 19:30Speaker 1: Cowboys, really? Cowboys.
- 19:33Speaker 2: Call it a gut feeling. I think it's going to happen.
- 19:36Speaker 2: I feel good about Jerry's boys this year, and I
- 19:38Speaker 2: think they're going to win that division.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Sign up and get all the details, hardrock.bet.com. That's hardrock.bet.com.
- 19:47Speaker 1: I like the Rams pick over the Seattle Seahawks simply
- 19:52Speaker 1: because Aaron Donald is back.
- 19:54Speaker 2: He's back.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Aaron Donald is back. And you pair that on the
- 19:59Speaker 1: outside with Miles Garrett and Matthew Stafford and that offense.
- 20:06Speaker 1: How are they not the odds-on favorite? They are. They're
- 20:08Speaker 1: the odds-on favorite to win the Super Bowl. Um, now
- 20:12Speaker 1: the previous, the previous teams that have had the best odds,
- 20:16Speaker 1: the way the Rams do, they don't go on to
- 20:18Speaker 1: win the Superbowl, but man, they are going to get
- 20:21Speaker 1: after the quarterback.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Yeah. I think the Rams are, uh, it's sort of
- 20:26Speaker 2: the darling pick and it's like, it's everybody's brain pick, right?
- 20:30Speaker 2: Like there's one team that's, that's a gut feeling about
- 20:32Speaker 2: it and this, but I think the Rams are the
- 20:34Speaker 2: one that you look at the roster. Uh, you look
- 20:37Speaker 2: at Matthew Stafford where he is right now in his
- 20:39Speaker 2: career and it's like, okay, this is the odds-on pick
- 20:43Speaker 2: to win it all. That normally doesn't work out for
- 20:45Speaker 2: those teams, but I'm with you. I love their roster.
- 20:48Speaker 2: I love Aaron Donald back. I think they're going to
- 20:51Speaker 2: get it done, and that's a very tough division year in,
- 20:54Speaker 2: year out.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Now, who did you pick for the NFC North?
- 20:58Speaker 2: The Chicago Bears.
- 20:59Speaker 1: Oh, the Bears again. See, I'm going Green Bay this year. Oh,
- 21:04Speaker 1: by the way, do you know who was the last-placed
- 21:08Speaker 1: team Who finished last in the NFC North last year?
- 21:12Speaker 1: All had a winning record.
- 21:14Speaker 2: The Minnesota Vikings?
- 21:16Speaker 1: The Detroit Lions.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Detroit Lions have the best odds to win the division
- 21:21Speaker 2: this year. You know why?
- 21:23Speaker 1: Because the Detroit Lions, by finishing last, despite having a
- 21:26Speaker 1: winning record, they have a last place schedule, Chad.
- 21:29Speaker 2: Yeah, that helps.
- 21:30Speaker 1: They would be playing, if they had the AFC South,
- 21:34Speaker 1: they'd play the Titans.
- 21:35Speaker 2: That helps. That helps. Any game against the Titans helps
- 21:39Speaker 2: your chances of winning a division. I'll tell you that
- 21:42Speaker 2: for sure. Yeah, look, looking at the numbers at Hard
- 21:46Speaker 2: Rock Bet, I was fascinated with that division because there's
- 21:49Speaker 2: not a big separation between one and four. And I
- 21:53Speaker 2: know the Vikings had the worst odds, the biggest plus money,
- 21:58Speaker 2: and then it was the Lions, but it's very close. Lions, Packers,
- 22:02Speaker 2: and I took the Bears, who were third in line.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Those three teams are pretty close in terms of money.
- 22:08Speaker 1: This schedule is insane. Let's just go through the first
- 22:14Speaker 1: two months of the season for the Detroit Lions. You
- 22:16Speaker 1: ready for this?
- 22:17Speaker 2: Yes.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Saints, they visit the Bills. They will host the Jets.
- 22:27Speaker 1: They'll visit the Panthers. They'll visit the Cardinals. They'll host
- 22:32Speaker 1: the Packers. Then they'll host the Vikings. Then they will
- 22:36Speaker 1: travel to take on the Miami Dolphins. Chad, that is
- 22:41Speaker 1: their first two months of the season for your Detroit Lions. Wow.
- 22:47Speaker 2: What's like the battle cry for Lions fans? You know,
- 22:52Speaker 2: like bear down or whatever. Do they have one for
- 22:54Speaker 2: the Detroit Lions? Because I want to scream that from
- 22:56Speaker 2: a mountaintop. Whatever that battle cry is.
- 23:00Speaker 1: The first two months, man. They're playing it. Yeah.
- 23:04Speaker 2: What is that battle cry? I'm not sure.
- 23:06Speaker 1: I don't know. Roar?
- 23:08Speaker 3: Roar?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Lions roar?
- 23:09Speaker 1: I don't know. I was just going to continue to
- 23:14Speaker 1: read through this. Patriots, Bucs, Bears. They do play the Titans.
- 23:20Speaker 1: Excuse me, Chad.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Here's the NFC North by the numbers. I pulled up
- 23:28Speaker 2: the numbers here at Hard Rock Pet. Lions are plus
- 23:31Speaker 2: 160 to win it. Packers are plus 240 to win it.
- 23:35Speaker 2: Bears are plus 300. Then there's a big jump, and
- 23:38Speaker 2: it's Vikings plus 500. But those first three, it goes
- 23:41Speaker 2: from plus 160 to plus 240 to plus 300. So
- 23:45Speaker 2: that's a fun division to follow. The Steelers right now,
- 23:48Speaker 2: if I'm going long odds to win the division, the Steelers,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you can get them at plus 550 to win that division.
- 23:58Speaker 2: I may place a little side bet at Hard Rock
- 24:01Speaker 2: Bet on those Steelers to win that division.
- 24:03Speaker 1: You know what?
- 24:03Speaker 2: In fact, Hutton, I've got my app open right now.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I'm going to do it right here. As we speak,
- 24:08Speaker 2: I'm going Steelers to win that division also, even though, yes,
- 24:11Speaker 2: I did pick Cincinnati.
- 24:13Speaker 1: You could do it. Back your gut there. Back your
- 24:17Speaker 1: gut there. Lions, by the way, their slogan is grit,
- 24:21Speaker 1: one pride, which is tough. One pride and defend the den.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Are they one of those teams, the old NFL teams
- 24:31Speaker 2: that has a fight song too? I wonder if they have.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Some of those teams have.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I don't remember their fight songs.
- 24:39Speaker 2: I'm looking up right now to see if they have
- 24:41Speaker 2: a fight song, which would be incredible.
- 24:43Speaker 1: Bear down.
- 24:46Speaker 2: The Detroit Lions fight song is... a song by da
- 24:51Speaker 2: worst band in da world in 2008. So I'm going
- 24:54Speaker 2: to assume that AI is not saying that they really
- 24:57Speaker 2: don't have a fight song. Did you say.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Da worst band in da world?
- 25:01Speaker 2: Da worst. D-A, one word. Worst spelled W-U-R-S-T. Maybe it's
- 25:08Speaker 2: a German polka band with that spelling. So this could
- 25:10Speaker 2: be like John Candy's band in Home Alone. Polka, polka, polka.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Maybe you've heard of that. Big and Sheboygan. The worst
- 25:17Speaker 2: band in the world, 2008, the Detroit Lions fight song.
- 25:21Speaker 2: That's what pops up. So I'm assuming they do not
- 25:23Speaker 2: have one of those old school fight songs.
- 25:26Speaker 1: Check it out. You can follow us, roll with us
- 25:30Speaker 1: on those bets that Chad has just made. You can
- 25:32Speaker 1: sign up, get all the details, hardrock.bet.clay. That's hardrock.bet.clay. Stay tuned.
- 25:39Speaker 1: More coming here on Hunting with Ruff. Sutton and Withrow,
- 25:42Speaker 1: we are presented by Hard Rock Bet here on the
- 25:45Speaker 1: Sport and State Network. We are streaming at sportandstate.com each
- 25:50Speaker 1: and every morning. And also, you can catch us on
- 25:53Speaker 1: our YouTube channel at Hutton and Withrow. Chad, that's where
- 25:56Speaker 1: you can join us in the chat. We're also on Facebook.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Some great numbers on Facebook over the last week.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah, Facebook. We're now, as of yesterday, live on TwitterX.com.
- 26:06Speaker 2: So you can watch us there. So many different ways
- 26:08Speaker 2: to consume the show, including podcasts with our partners at
- 26:11Speaker 2: iHeart Podcast. It drops every mid-afternoon, I would say, for
- 26:16Speaker 2: the full two-hour show. So if you're driving home in
- 26:18Speaker 2: the afternoon and want to give us a listen, you
- 26:20Speaker 2: can do so there as well. Excited, Hutton, to be
- 26:23Speaker 2: available now on so many different avenues for someone to
- 26:26Speaker 2: listen to the show or watch the show. So we
- 26:29Speaker 2: thank you for the support. And we thank you for
- 26:31Speaker 2: checking out Sporting State. And again, we announced it earlier,
- 26:33Speaker 2: but a big writing hire with Karen Krause coming over
- 26:38Speaker 2: formerly with the New York Times to now be one
- 26:40Speaker 2: of the featured writers at sportandstate.com. So it's been a
- 26:45Speaker 2: lot of fun here in the early going of this company, Hutton,
- 26:48Speaker 2: and we're thrilled with our partnership with Hard Rock Bet.
- 26:52Speaker 2: And we're going to keep on churning out shows for
- 26:55Speaker 2: you each and every day, and we look forward to
- 26:57Speaker 2: hanging out with you. And that YouTube chat is a
- 27:00Speaker 2: great spot to hang out with us every day. Also,
- 27:03Speaker 2: I'd say tweet us. You know, I'm getting reamed out
- 27:06Speaker 2: by Titans fans on our Twitter account right now. That's great.
- 27:10Speaker 2: If you like it, if you don't like it, let
- 27:12Speaker 2: us know. We can interact with you that way as well.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Like Gavin Mayo, who tweeted me earlier. Gavin, shout out
- 27:18Speaker 2: to you. We appreciate you. So feel free to interact
- 27:21Speaker 2: with us that way also. You know, we love interaction
- 27:25Speaker 2: with our audience in any way, whether it be out
- 27:28Speaker 2: in public or here in the YouTube chat. We always
- 27:31Speaker 2: want to hear from you and talk to you and
- 27:33Speaker 2: have discussions. So by all means, please keep hitting us up.
- 27:37Speaker 2: We appreciate it. Do you see me sinking in the
- 27:39Speaker 2: middle of the segment in this chair? Yeah. I hate
- 27:42Speaker 2: when you get that notch in the chair and somehow
- 27:45Speaker 2: it gets knocked and you start to slowly sink down.
- 27:48Speaker 2: I said it before, but like in our old studio,
- 27:51Speaker 2: I had the microphone that would slowly go down the
- 27:55Speaker 2: whole time. And everybody in the studio thought I was insane,
- 27:58Speaker 2: which that was a daily occurrence. But I'm telling them
- 28:01Speaker 2: that the mic is lower.
- 28:03Speaker 1: No, it's not.
- 28:04Speaker 2: We didn't do anything. I'm not saying you did anything.
- 28:06Speaker 2: I'm telling you, my mic is lowering.
- 28:08Speaker 1: This morning has been the bane of my existence, for real.
- 28:11Speaker 1: My computer's going all to shit. My chair. I'm looking
- 28:16Speaker 1: down at you because I don't know why my entire
- 28:20Speaker 1: set is lower for some reason.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I noticed that now, too. Now that you said it,
- 28:25Speaker 2: I cannot see it. You have lowered yourself a little bit.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I haven't lowered anything. Yeah. It wasn't me.
- 28:34Speaker 1: It wasn't me.
- 28:34Speaker 2: I'm going to act like the old studio crew. Nobody's
- 28:37Speaker 2: touched it. Nobody's done a thing. Don't write us up.
- 28:41Speaker 2: No reports on this. Nobody's accusing anybody. I'm just telling
- 28:45Speaker 2: you of an issue. We can work through this together. Oh, man.
- 28:49Speaker 2: So happy to be at Sporting State. Have I said that?
- 28:53Speaker 2: We are thrilled to be at Sporting State.
- 28:55Speaker 1: Absolutely, man. And a reminder, you said we like interacting
- 28:59Speaker 1: with our listeners. Fantasy Football League. We have, what, is
- 29:04Speaker 1: it five or six spots available right now? I believe
- 29:06Speaker 1: it's now six. No, five, because we just added another. Yeah,
- 29:13Speaker 1: we just.
- 29:13Speaker 2: Added Drew Jones, who's the day one season ticket holder
- 29:17Speaker 2: with us, works at Brooks, great company. He's going to
- 29:21Speaker 2: be joining the Fantasy Football League. I'm actually sending you
- 29:23Speaker 2: his info right now.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Does Mr.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Mayo on Twitter want in? You want me to text
- 29:30Speaker 2: them to find out? I'm just going to give them
- 29:32Speaker 2: my cell phone number on there and say, hey, if
- 29:34Speaker 2: you ever have any thoughts about my opinions on the
- 29:36Speaker 2: Titans or anything else, feel free to text me at
- 29:38Speaker 2: this number. I'm going to ask.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Mr.
- 29:40Speaker 2: Mayo right now if he wants in.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Ask Mr. Mayo if he wants in on the Fantasy
- 29:43Speaker 1: Football League.
- 29:44Speaker 2: We're going to win him back. He says we haven't
- 29:47Speaker 2: been the same. We're unrecognizable. And what we do on
- 29:50Speaker 2: this show is we build bridges. We don't burn them down.
- 29:53Speaker 2: And I'm going to build a bridge right now.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Mr.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Mayo, here we go. I'm typing it out. would you
- 29:59Speaker 2: be so kind as to join us for a fantasy
- 30:01Speaker 2: football league? Perfect. Great. Here we go. I'll let you
- 30:07Speaker 2: know his response.
- 30:08Speaker 1: So Tennessee is going to wear a decal for Dolly.
- 30:13Speaker 2: They are. They are indeed. Dolly Parton being honored all
- 30:16Speaker 2: over the place. The governor has an initiative.
- 30:19Speaker 1: Oh, this is the dream war logo. Okay.
- 30:22Speaker 2: To possibly rename BNA, the Nashville airport. in memory of
- 30:28Speaker 2: Dolly Parton. And now the Tennessee Vols football team will
- 30:30Speaker 2: be honoring Dolly Parton all year by wearing a butterfly
- 30:34Speaker 2: on their helmet. Let me just say right now, let's
- 30:38Speaker 2: leave that logo up, if you can, JT, for us.
- 30:42Speaker 2: Because this logo right here, if Tennessee is a surprise
- 30:46Speaker 2: in the SEC, and they go 10-2 or 9-3, we
- 30:50Speaker 2: are going to be talking in November about the spirit
- 30:52Speaker 2: of Dolly Parton, the great lady. Of Tennessee, of East Tennessee.
- 30:55Speaker 1: To honor General Neyland.
- 30:57Speaker 2: The dame of the Smoky Mountains, the great, wonderful Dolly Parton.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Terrific soul that she was guiding the 2026 Tennessee Vols
- 31:06Speaker 2: to greatness. And they were on the backs of butterflies.
- 31:10Speaker 2: And they were flying on the backs of butterflies to
- 31:12Speaker 2: the greatness.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Let's please not do that.
- 31:14Speaker 2: And if Tennessee loses to Georgia Tech, everyone's going to say,
- 31:17Speaker 2: look at these pansies wearing a butterfly on their helmet.
- 31:21Speaker 2: We need to take that off immediately because it's turning
- 31:23Speaker 2: the team soft. That is my prediction one way or
- 31:25Speaker 2: the other. These decals will have no bearing on the season.
- 31:28Speaker 2: I love that they're honoring Dolly Parton, but the reaction
- 31:31Speaker 2: will be one or the other. Either the spirit of
- 31:33Speaker 2: Dolly Parton guides them, or they're a bunch of softies
- 31:36Speaker 2: because they're wearing a butterfly on their helmet.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Well, neither are true. Of course. Neither are true because, no,
- 31:43Speaker 1: the spirit of Dolly will not be guiding them because MTSU, Chad,
- 31:47Speaker 1: is also wearing something on their helmet, and they're doing
- 31:50Speaker 1: a jersey patch, in fact. And MTSU right now, they
- 31:54Speaker 1: have an over-under total wins of 3.5 in Vegas. So
- 31:58Speaker 1: let me tell you something. Whenever Derek Mason's football team
- 32:01Speaker 1: goes under 3.5 wins this year, are we going to
- 32:04Speaker 1: blame Dolly Parton? Does that mean Dolly Parton wanted to
- 32:06Speaker 1: condemn the Blue Raiders to hell?
- 32:07Speaker 2: No.
- 32:08Speaker 1: No, he didn't. That's why I don't believe in superstitions.
- 32:11Speaker 1: That's why I don't believe in luck. All these things.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Lucky socks. If you're wearing the lucky socks, why did
- 32:16Speaker 1: you lose whenever you finally decided to wash them whenever
- 32:19Speaker 1: you lost? Why did you lose if you're wearing them?
- 32:22Speaker 1: and they were so lucky. Just don't buy into it.
- 32:26Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with the butterfly wings, maybe
- 32:29Speaker 1: the bullet butterfly wings, like Smashing Pumpkins.
- 32:33Speaker 2: That's a great album. Yeah, if MTSU wins three games
- 32:38Speaker 2: this year, It's not going to be because God's more
- 32:40Speaker 2: of a Barbara Mandrell fan than Dolly Parton. That's certainly
- 32:45Speaker 2: for sure. I buy into the psychology of it. If
- 32:51Speaker 2: you think it works, maybe there's a little bit of
- 32:53Speaker 2: confidence involved with it. But of course, the socks you wear,
- 32:58Speaker 2: the armband you wear. You doing something while you're watching
- 33:01Speaker 2: a game does not really factor into the game itself.
- 33:04Speaker 2: It's really just, it's like a method to, you know,
- 33:07Speaker 2: like somebody with ADHD that's going to like flip the
- 33:10Speaker 2: light switch on three times and off to make sure
- 33:12Speaker 2: it works. Or they like do the nervous tick things.
- 33:14Speaker 2: That's making them feel better. So it's probably positively affecting
- 33:18Speaker 2: their own psychology. But you doing that three times has
- 33:22Speaker 2: no indication on whether or not the electricity works in
- 33:24Speaker 2: the house. Yeah.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 33:27Speaker 2: That's the same way I feel about sports. I will
- 33:30Speaker 2: be the first to get up at times and I
- 33:32Speaker 2: don't like the vibe in here. If I'm annoyed by
- 33:35Speaker 2: a situation watching a game because it's going south.
- 33:40Speaker 1: Even whenever you're alone or when you're with a group
- 33:43Speaker 1: of people is when you do that.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Oh, both. If I'm alone, I might get up and
- 33:47Speaker 2: be like, I'm going to go lay in my bed
- 33:49Speaker 2: and watch this game a little bit under the covers.
- 33:52Speaker 2: because I'm frightened by what's happening.
- 33:54Speaker 1: Because you're tired.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, just because I'm sleepy. I'm a little sleepy. I
- 33:58Speaker 2: get a little drowsy watching certain sporting events, so I'm
- 34:00Speaker 2: going to go.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Lay down and take a little nap.
- 34:02Speaker 2: But no, I will just go to change. But that's
- 34:05Speaker 2: changing my vibe. I'd love to hear from people in
- 34:08Speaker 2: the YouTube chat also, like little superstitions you have. None
- 34:11Speaker 2: of it works. Hutton's right. I don't buy into it working.
- 34:15Speaker 2: I buy into the way it makes me feel. You know,
- 34:18Speaker 2: it's like, When you go and post a long thing
- 34:21Speaker 2: on Facebook, griping about something, like complaining about something, and
- 34:26Speaker 2: I see this all the time.
- 34:27Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 34:28Speaker 2: You're not really changing any outcome. What you're doing is
- 34:32Speaker 2: you're typing out and you're typing through it and making
- 34:34Speaker 2: yourself feel better. I buy that with superstition, especially for fans.
- 34:38Speaker 2: I'm going to knock on wood. And I do that
- 34:41Speaker 2: at times during a game. Like, oh, man, let's just
- 34:43Speaker 2: run the ball here and get this first down on fourth.
- 34:46Speaker 2: And I might knock on something. And my wife says,
- 34:48Speaker 2: you're a complete lunatic and a loser for doing that.
- 34:51Speaker 2: She's probably right on both counts. I know that it's
- 34:53Speaker 2: not affecting the outcome, but me knocking on that wood
- 34:57Speaker 2: and hearing the sound of it makes me feel better.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I feel the same way about athletes. They do little things.
- 35:02Speaker 2: All it does is make them feel better. It doesn't
- 35:05Speaker 2: change anything.
- 35:06Speaker 1: What do you think, JT?
- 35:08Speaker 3: There's 100% chance I'm moving from one spot of the
- 35:11Speaker 3: couch to the other.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I'm not wearing the same socks, but yeah, I will move. Yeah,
- 35:16Speaker 2: I do that often. I'll also just be around. I'll
- 35:19Speaker 2: be around the family and I can feel myself getting
- 35:22Speaker 2: really irritated at what's happening. And I'm like, I'm going
- 35:25Speaker 2: to leave just because I'm going to be mad for
- 35:27Speaker 2: a little while. So I'm going to let you guys
- 35:29Speaker 2: hang out down here and do whatever you want. So
- 35:30Speaker 2: I'm not that person that's yelling at their kids because
- 35:33Speaker 2: of the football game.
- 35:34Speaker 1: But JT, you're acknowledging that moving on your couch has
- 35:36Speaker 1: nothing to do with it, right?
- 35:37Speaker 2: 100%.
- 35:38Speaker 3: Yeah. I mean, that's strictly me and my own little
- 35:40Speaker 3: weird world, but But I will move from the couch
- 35:43Speaker 3: to the recliner, the recliner to the couch.
- 35:45Speaker 1: I don't go lay down. Those that say the whole
- 35:48Speaker 1: jinx thing, like, hey, the kicker's made 33 extra points
- 35:54Speaker 1: in a row, and then sure enough, he'll miss the
- 35:57Speaker 1: extra point, had nothing to do with you saying that. Right?
- 36:01Speaker 1: But like, oh, you jinxed us. No, no, you're just
- 36:04Speaker 1: an idiot for believing in jinxes.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Well, all of these things, by the way, and JT
- 36:09Speaker 2: with his Ohio State Buckeyes and everyone else, They all
- 36:11Speaker 2: come back into play starting Saturday where everyone's going to
- 36:14Speaker 2: start doing these little things, even when one thing goes wrong,
- 36:17Speaker 2: that they're going to change it up. We got some
- 36:20Speaker 2: great responses coming in. Catfish Jake says, I will switch rooms,
- 36:25Speaker 2: TVs broadcast.
- 36:28Speaker 1: The gentleman.
- 36:29Speaker 2: Make up a random chore that needs to be done
- 36:34Speaker 2: if Bama is not playing great. Brooks says, In the chat,
- 36:38Speaker 2: it says, I'm absolutely the same. Watching my team, I'll
- 36:40Speaker 2: go change shirts. I'll change rooms. I might stay standing
- 36:45Speaker 2: if several good plays happen while I've been up.
- 36:47Speaker 1: But they're all acknowledging that it has nothing to do
- 36:50Speaker 1: with that, which I appreciate. This is funny.
- 36:52Speaker 2: We all do it. I should just turn a camera
- 36:56Speaker 2: on me at some point and watch this. If you
- 36:59Speaker 2: want to see a crazy person exist in the wild,
- 37:02Speaker 2: it's me when no one else is around. like watching
- 37:05Speaker 2: my team. I remember watching Tennessee-Mississippi State a year ago.
- 37:09Speaker 2: My daughter was picking up with another softball team. They're
- 37:11Speaker 2: playing in a tournament. So my whole family is in
- 37:14Speaker 2: Gallatin at a tournament. I go home early to watch
- 37:17Speaker 2: Tennessee-Mississippi State. Tennessee had to score a touchdown late to
- 37:20Speaker 2: tie it. They go and win in overtime or double overtime.
- 37:23Speaker 2: But that fourth quarter in overtime, I am pacing from
- 37:28Speaker 2: living room to kitchen, around the kitchen island and back,
- 37:31Speaker 2: over and over in between each play, and then I
- 37:34Speaker 2: just get right up next to television. I'm looking at
- 37:35Speaker 2: the TV for the play. And then once the play's over,
- 37:37Speaker 2: I'm pacing again, walking around. I'm going right back up
- 37:40Speaker 2: like a dog waiting on a tree, waiting for the
- 37:43Speaker 2: next play. And then I'm happy or I'm upset, and
- 37:46Speaker 2: I'm pacing again. It doesn't help the game at all.
- 37:50Speaker 2: It somehow helps me process the game. I know that
- 37:54Speaker 2: I'm not alone with other fans out there.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Next year, Tennessee's going to honor General Nealon by having
- 37:59Speaker 1: butterflies on the jersey. What would be the.
- 38:04Speaker 2: General Nealon decal that they're going to have? This is
- 38:08Speaker 2: the 100-year anniversary of General Nealon taking the Tennessee job
- 38:11Speaker 2: in 1926. So there's been a lot of General Nealon
- 38:13Speaker 2: talk about that. Oh, we should have that.
- 38:16Speaker 1: They should have that. Do they not have that decal,
- 38:18Speaker 1: or do they?
- 38:19Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm sure they're doing something. I don't
- 38:23Speaker 2: know what.
- 38:24Speaker 1: That should be on the field. That's better than having
- 38:26Speaker 1: the smoky grays.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Better than having Pilot on the field?
- 38:29Speaker 1: Yeah, well.
- 38:31Speaker 2: That pilot money, those checks cash out. That pilot money
- 38:35Speaker 2: is paying.
- 38:36Speaker 1: There's plenty of grass. That's all I'm saying. There's plenty
- 38:38Speaker 1: of grass to paint.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Of the teams that sell out, which they're all going
- 38:41Speaker 2: to do now, to like jersey logos or on the
- 38:45Speaker 2: field stuff, I will say Tennessee has tastefully done it
- 38:48Speaker 2: as well as anyone by not putting the pilot colors
- 38:51Speaker 2: on the field. So it's just the white pilot logo.
- 38:55Speaker 2: You can barely see it. It's like the size of
- 38:58Speaker 2: the SEC logos. So I get Tennessee some credit for
- 39:01Speaker 2: like doing– if you're going to do it, do it
- 39:03Speaker 2: in a tasteful way. And then you've got the opposite
- 39:05Speaker 2: side of it where Texas' AD is saying, what, am
- 39:08Speaker 2: I going to put Sonic on a Texas Longhorn jersey? No,
- 39:10Speaker 2: we're not going to do that. Which I love the
- 39:13Speaker 2: arrogance of Texas. I kind of wish every school of
- 39:17Speaker 2: any clout was that way too. Like, no, I'm not
- 39:19Speaker 2: even going to take the check. We're good with money.
- 39:21Speaker 2: I don't need it.
- 39:25Speaker 1: Don't need it. They should put the 100, like a
- 39:28Speaker 1: 100 in one of the checkered of the checkerboards, give
- 39:30Speaker 1: them an orange checkered box, and put one little small
- 39:36Speaker 1: logo in the end zone in honor of General Nealon.
- 39:38Speaker 1: It's better than the jerseys.
- 39:41Speaker 2: One of the 50-yard line was a silhouette of General
- 39:44Speaker 2: Nealon kneeling down, the famous silhouette. That was the midfield
- 39:47Speaker 2: all year for Tennessee. Yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 1: I mean, for one year, sure, why not? I like CBRT,
- 39:52Speaker 1: but I'd like it. It's better than having no decal
- 40:01Speaker 1: whatsoever on the helmet.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. Also, better than messing with the
- 40:07Speaker 2: checkerboard end zone. If you have a famous end zone,
- 40:09Speaker 2: don't mess with that. But if you want to put
- 40:11Speaker 2: something different, if you want to put the dolly butterfly
- 40:14Speaker 2: at midfield for one game.
- 40:15Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 40:17Speaker 2: No. Now, if you lose that game, you know exactly
- 40:20Speaker 2: what's going to be played if we're losing that game.
- 40:22Speaker 2: No butterfly.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You put the power T on the, no.
- 40:26Speaker 2: That's a Tennessee first down brought to you by Dollywood,
- 40:29Speaker 2: where you can get season passes right now for the fall.
- 40:33Speaker 2: The water park is closed, but the amusement park is
- 40:35Speaker 2: wide open.
- 40:37Speaker 1: I'm out of here.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I'm going to go on that play.
- 40:39Speaker 1: I'm going to go throw this chair into the Cumberland river.
- 40:42Speaker 2: Yes.
- 40:42Speaker 1: And, uh, Maybe it floats down to your neck of
- 40:46Speaker 1: the woods. Who knows?
- 40:47Speaker 2: You need a Jacob Lutz house call at this point
- 40:49Speaker 2: to come fix everything that's malfunctioning in your studio. I know.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Everything's going to hell. We're out. See you guys.
