- 0:03Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning. Welcome, welcome, welcome. It
- 0:05Speaker 1: is time now for car talk. We due just toy
- 0:08Speaker 1: own it. Brad Doness is in the house in Brad.
- 0:10Speaker 1: You brought briends, of course I did every morning. Good
- 0:13Speaker 1: morning friends. Thank you for joining us this morning. We're
- 0:15Speaker 1: so glad you're with us.
- 0:16Speaker 2: We're a difference at day makes it's quite quite quite
- 0:21Speaker 2: a bit chillier than yesterday. And that I Hello, Amanda.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I brought my friend Amanda Carhern here from the Frank
- 0:28Speaker 2: Phillips Historic Home here in Bartlesville.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Yes, thanks for having me.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Welcome. Glad you're here today.
- 0:33Speaker 3: I'm glad to be here.
- 0:34Speaker 2: It's a great time of year at the home. I know, uh,
- 0:36Speaker 2: you know, probably going back to the beginning right when.
- 0:39Speaker 2: I'm sure Frank and his family had a lot of
- 0:41Speaker 2: great Christmas. Is there.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Absolutely, we have some of the original family's Christmas ornaments.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah, we're going to put out on display pretty soon. Yeah. No.
- 0:49Speaker 2: I love the open house and the Christmas party atmosphere
- 0:53Speaker 2: and getting to it's kind of a more casual tour
- 0:58Speaker 2: that day because you kind of get to wander around the.
- 1:00Speaker 3: Realm around at your own pace. It's a good time.
- 1:03Speaker 3: And it's only five dollars a person, five dollars for adults.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Kids are free.
- 1:07Speaker 2: That's great.
- 1:08Speaker 3: And that's happening the seventeenth and the nineteenth starting at
- 1:12Speaker 3: five o'clock I'm sorry, six o'clock, six o'clock, with the
- 1:15Speaker 3: last admission at eight. Okay, so come see yus. Every
- 1:20Speaker 3: room has at least one Christmas tree in it. Oh cool,
- 1:22Speaker 3: you're going to want to see that.
- 1:23Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I've been to a bunch of those. It
- 1:26Speaker 2: is a great time. And yeah, we've been busy at
- 1:28Speaker 2: the dealership getting ready for Christmas stuff too. We're going
- 1:31Speaker 2: to get in this week. We've been getting ready for
- 1:33Speaker 2: the parade, which is Saturday night downtown Bartlesville, six thirty pm.
- 1:37Speaker 2: We're going to take our shame Model A replica out.
- 1:41Speaker 2: They've been decorating it. It's an old looks like a
- 1:45Speaker 2: Model A, but it's actually I think a Mustang two
- 1:48Speaker 2: underneath from the late seventies.
- 1:51Speaker 3: That's going to be good.
- 1:52Speaker 2: It's kind of cool because it's I don't know if
- 1:54Speaker 2: i'd trust the actual Model A to go in the parade,
- 1:57Speaker 2: but this one runs pretty good drive than the original,
- 2:01Speaker 2: and we'll have a Tundra out there too, and so
- 2:08Speaker 2: happily some of the team are excited to participate and
- 2:11Speaker 2: we'll be out there. We'll be looking for you. We're
- 2:14Speaker 2: going to be doing the prey on one. Yeah, that'll
- 2:17Speaker 2: be a great chance for people to If you can't
- 2:19Speaker 2: go out, we'll be sure to watch it and you
- 2:21Speaker 2: can watch it day after Yeah, over and over again
- 2:25Speaker 2: if you want to see that. Shay, it's uh. It's
- 2:28Speaker 2: a great car and we've been we've had it on
- 2:30Speaker 2: the Toyota showroom here for a few weeks now since
- 2:33Speaker 2: we've sold the Ford Dealership and brought over an old
- 2:39Speaker 2: Ford hack truck that was built by an insurance agent
- 2:42Speaker 2: here in town. Jim Stein was his name, and he
- 2:45Speaker 2: he this was one of his projects. And it's fascinating
- 2:48Speaker 2: to me to watch these old Fords and the people,
- 2:52Speaker 2: the Toyota owners fascination with them because there it's like
- 2:57Speaker 2: it's a great to talk to people. They're getting their
- 3:00Speaker 2: service done and stuff as they're looking at these old cars.
- 3:03Speaker 2: It's pretty fun. Other stuff going on this month at
- 3:07Speaker 2: the dealership. This is our big when we sold Ford.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Of course, we used to celebrate our anniversary in April
- 3:15Speaker 2: because that was when my grandfather purchased the Ford dealership
- 3:18Speaker 2: here in town. Was in the April nineteen forty one,
- 3:24Speaker 2: right and then so but Toyota came later, but it
- 3:29Speaker 2: was in December. So now that we were exclusively Toyota dealership,
- 3:33Speaker 2: we're going to celebrate our anniversary this month in December,
- 3:36Speaker 2: and we're going to continue with our giveaway to charities
- 3:41Speaker 2: that we've been doing the last few years, and we've
- 3:43Speaker 2: spiced it up this year. We've got we're going to
- 3:48Speaker 2: everybody the buys a car gets to select a charity
- 3:51Speaker 2: and we'll make a fifty dollars donation to that charity.
- 3:54Speaker 2: But then the charity that gets the most selections, we're
- 3:59Speaker 2: actually going to make a twenty five hundred dollars gift
- 4:01Speaker 2: to them with and actually match that with the Toyota
- 4:06Speaker 2: corporate match. So there'll be a total of at least
- 4:09Speaker 2: over five thousand dollars given away, probably closer to seven
- 4:12Speaker 2: or eight thousand to local charities, and we're getting help
- 4:16Speaker 2: from Toyota for that. And so I just encourage everybody,
- 4:20Speaker 2: if you're in the market for a car, there's no
- 4:22Speaker 2: reason not to shop at Dungeons and support your local charities.
- 4:25Speaker 2: You know, the last couple of years, as we've done
- 4:27Speaker 2: this in April, Hopestone Downtown has gotten the most votes
- 4:32Speaker 2: and we've been happy to support them. I'd love to
- 4:34Speaker 2: do that again or one of the other great So
- 4:37Speaker 2: there's so many that, you know, and we typically the
- 4:39Speaker 2: Boys and Girls Club, the Y, the four HFFA, Frank
- 4:45Speaker 2: Phillips definitely gets votes, definitely gets votes, and we've made
- 4:49Speaker 2: several gifts to them in the last couple of years
- 4:51Speaker 2: through the anniversary gift. And yeah, we don't want to
- 4:54Speaker 2: leave Kevin and the team at Frank Phillips Foundation. And
- 4:58Speaker 2: that's such a great thing to talk about because the
- 5:03Speaker 2: Woolarock and the Frank Phillips Home are now kind of together.
- 5:07Speaker 3: They are under the umbrella of the Frank Phillips Foundation, right, and.
- 5:11Speaker 2: So back to where you know, kind of Frank's Frank stuff, right.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah, you know that family's back together, that's right.
- 5:20Speaker 2: And you know, for a long time the home had
- 5:22Speaker 2: been cared for by the State of Oklahoma and in
- 5:26Speaker 2: part of their historic mission, but their game of time
- 5:29Speaker 2: where they were looking for, you know, a way to
- 5:32Speaker 2: move on, I think, and the Frank Phillips Foundation stepped
- 5:36Speaker 2: up and took back care.
- 5:37Speaker 3: For that, and oh yeah, we were very thankful for that.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I was in twenty eighteen. And you know, the home
- 5:44Speaker 2: itself though, was built back in two thousand and nine
- 5:47Speaker 2: or nineteen oh.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Nine, right, It started in nineteen oh eight and completed
- 5:51Speaker 3: in nineteen oh nine. So we're well over one hundred
- 5:54Speaker 3: years old.
- 5:54Speaker 2: That's amazing. And you know, I know you have another
- 5:58Speaker 2: event we want to talk about coming up too, that's
- 6:01Speaker 2: very unique coming up on called the Tuba Christmas Tube Christmas.
- 6:05Speaker 3: That's going to be Sunday, December the fifteenth at three o'clock.
- 6:10Speaker 3: That is a free event. It happens outside on our lawn.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Mister Lindsay from the high school does a fantastic job
- 6:18Speaker 3: getting tuba players from all over. We have some high
- 6:21Speaker 3: school students, we have adult tuba players. They come from
- 6:26Speaker 3: all over and it's basically just a concert Christmas concert.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Of tuba music.
- 6:32Speaker 3: How interesting, Tuba Christmas is actually a nationwide program and
- 6:37Speaker 3: we very lucky that we have an event we can
- 6:40Speaker 3: do here in Bertlesvielle.
- 6:42Speaker 2: That's neat and it's been going on a long time.
- 6:44Speaker 3: It has been happening at our home for fifteen years.
- 6:48Speaker 2: That's crazy, fifteen years. And again that's next. It's a
- 6:53Speaker 2: week from Sunday, a.
- 6:54Speaker 3: Week from Sunday, three o'clock.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Three o'clock and on the lawn. So depending on the
- 7:00Speaker 2: weather this time of year, you never know.
- 7:02Speaker 3: If bad weather happens, keep an eye on our Facebook page.
- 7:05Speaker 3: If bad weather happens, it will be moved to the
- 7:08Speaker 3: Bertlesville High School auditory.
- 7:10Speaker 2: Okay, all right, that's good.
- 7:12Speaker 3: So such in the past fifteen years, that's only happened
- 7:15Speaker 3: one time.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Well, I look at the day today. I mean, a
- 7:18Speaker 2: little bit of cold is I'm going to bother you, I.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Expect, and hopefully by three o'clock at a warm up.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I mean I think their chances are pretty
- 7:25Speaker 2: good in the middle of December to Halven nice after
- 7:27Speaker 2: nice Sunday afternoon.
- 7:28Speaker 3: So it's an excellent, excellent concert.
- 7:31Speaker 2: It's a lot of fun. Yeah, And that's on Sunday.
- 7:33Speaker 2: And then the open house is actually.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Two nights now, Tuesday and Thursday. Again, that's the seventeenth
- 7:41Speaker 3: and nineteenth starts at six o'clock, goes the last admission
- 7:46Speaker 3: is at eight o'clock.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Do you need tickets or anything to that or can
- 7:49Speaker 2: you buy tickets.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Purchase tickets that honestly, just come to the gift shop
- 7:53Speaker 3: night of and get your tickets.
- 7:55Speaker 2: Okay, And those are five dollars for five.
- 7:58Speaker 3: Dollars for adults. So if you're doing some Christmas shopping,
- 8:02Speaker 3: come by our gift shop. It's open nine thirty to
- 8:06Speaker 3: four thirty Wednesday through Saturday. We've got Bartlesville merch.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Oh really, you got what you guys. I didn't even
- 8:13Speaker 2: know you had a gift shop something. Really.
- 8:15Speaker 3: The gift shop is located in the six car garage.
- 8:19Speaker 3: It's behind the mansion, and then our parking lot is
- 8:22Speaker 3: directly behind the six car garage.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Okay, all right, so secrets there. The garage is cool.
- 8:30Speaker 3: The garage is very hard.
- 8:31Speaker 2: I remember that, But somehow I missed the gift shop.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Has that been there around long?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Oh?
- 8:37Speaker 3: It's been there as long as I've.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Okay, well, I guess I just somehow ignored. Yeah, we've
- 8:41Speaker 2: got you're going straight inside? No, I I tend to
- 8:45Speaker 2: want to go inside and explore the home and.
- 8:48Speaker 3: Center, especially at Christmas time. It's absolutely beautiful.
- 8:51Speaker 2: It does look great and so festively decorated, and as
- 8:54Speaker 2: you said, you've got trees everywhere and original Christmas stuff
- 8:59Speaker 2: back from the Fan.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Family and you know, you know, ninety five percent of
- 9:02Speaker 3: the items inside the home our original to Frank and
- 9:05Speaker 3: jain Well.
- 9:06Speaker 2: And that's really important because it was you know, care
- 9:08Speaker 2: for by the family for so long, I think until the.
- 9:11Speaker 3: Seventies seventy three, Yeah.
- 9:13Speaker 2: And then the state took over and of course it
- 9:15Speaker 2: was you know, it's been preserved and protected by the
- 9:19Speaker 2: foundation now for several years. And are there plans to
- 9:24Speaker 2: or does it need more help or anything?
- 9:27Speaker 3: I mean, what's oh, we could always use help. We
- 9:31Speaker 3: are a nonprofit trying to keep this gem going in
- 9:35Speaker 3: Bartlesville forever and ever and ever. So any gift shop purchases,
- 9:40Speaker 3: we take donations, tour tickets. That all helps. It goes
- 9:45Speaker 3: right back into the.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Home, Okay, And you do do tours.
- 9:47Speaker 3: Regularly, right We do on the hour pretty much Wednesday
- 9:53Speaker 3: through Saturday. You can call and make reservations to make
- 9:56Speaker 3: sure you get a spot, or you can just walk
- 9:58Speaker 3: right in.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Our guess you can probably volunteers and people we do.
- 10:03Speaker 2: We do the tours.
- 10:05Speaker 3: They're guided tours, so you're going to hear all kinds
- 10:08Speaker 3: of stories about the family as you're going through the home.
- 10:12Speaker 2: And it's really worth your time to do that. I
- 10:14Speaker 2: know a lot of visitors to town do it, but
- 10:16Speaker 2: maybe people who live here kind of take it for
- 10:18Speaker 2: granted and may may.
- 10:20Speaker 3: Not know the come and visit us because you're gonna
- 10:22Speaker 3: you're really going to get the full story of Frank
- 10:24Speaker 3: and Jane.
- 10:25Speaker 2: That's great. Well, and tell them. Some people may not
- 10:29Speaker 2: even know where you're located. Where is the home?
- 10:32Speaker 3: Okay, eleven o seven Cherokee Avenue.
- 10:36Speaker 2: Okay, So as you're driving between downtown and the high school,
- 10:39Speaker 2: it's easy to see.
- 10:40Speaker 3: On between basically between Central High School, Central Middle School,
- 10:45Speaker 3: and Bartlesville High School, we are right.
- 10:47Speaker 2: There, awesome well and right there in the historic part
- 10:51Speaker 2: of town. And it's a beautiful Frank Philip historic home
- 10:55Speaker 2: and lots of great stuff going on down there. And
- 10:58Speaker 2: and as I mentioned, lots of good stuff going on
- 11:00Speaker 2: the dealership too. I mentioned the charity giveaway. We're going
- 11:03Speaker 2: to give away over five thousand dollars to the charity
- 11:06Speaker 2: of your choice. If you purchase a vehicle from DUNGEUS
- 11:09Speaker 2: this month, you'll help us pick the charity that gets
- 11:12Speaker 2: the big gift. We're also going to if you come
- 11:15Speaker 2: in and just test drive a new Toyota. You can
- 11:18Speaker 2: register to win a new TV. We were as always
- 11:22Speaker 2: looking to buy cars. We've been recently became a Kelly
- 11:26Speaker 2: Bluebook instat cash offer buying center because it'll help us
- 11:31Speaker 2: access more more individual cars. We really prefer to buy
- 11:35Speaker 2: them off the street from individuals rather than go to
- 11:39Speaker 2: auction and fight for the unknowns that come with that.
- 11:42Speaker 2: But we need to stock our lot with more used vehicles,
- 11:46Speaker 2: so we're in the process of buying more now. If
- 11:48Speaker 2: you have one that you're looking to sell or if
- 11:51Speaker 2: you're trading, give us a shot. We've got a great
- 11:54Speaker 2: tool on the website which makes it really simple to
- 11:57Speaker 2: get an instant offer on your vehicle. Then if we
- 12:01Speaker 2: when we bring it in, we'll often be able to
- 12:03Speaker 2: beat that and offer you a little bit more. If
- 12:05Speaker 2: it's in great shape. We do want to inspect it
- 12:08Speaker 2: and make sure we give you every penny that you
- 12:10Speaker 2: deserve for your vehicle. We've got a great selection right now.
- 12:14Speaker 2: I was it was almost late this morning because I
- 12:17Speaker 2: was in there pricing and lower in the cars for
- 12:19Speaker 2: Toyota th On. But we've got he takes mighty I
- 12:25Speaker 2: do it and I talk about it every week. You know,
- 12:28Speaker 2: a lot of the pricing I do myself. We're in
- 12:30Speaker 2: there always making sure our vehicles are market based priced.
- 12:33Speaker 2: And and really.
- 12:35Speaker 3: I drove my Toyota today to get here. Awesome, and
- 12:38Speaker 3: I bought it from you guys.
- 12:39Speaker 2: That's great. And you know, of course we try to
- 12:42Speaker 2: We say we're the oldest. We are the oldest in
- 12:44Speaker 2: Oklahoma and the most trusted because we treat everybody well.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Try to be transparent in the purchase process, try to
- 12:50Speaker 2: keep everything simple and like I said, have those good
- 12:54Speaker 2: upfront prices on the cars, right up front, without any
- 12:58Speaker 2: hidden fees or ons that that you confuse things. And
- 13:03Speaker 2: we're very competitive on interest rates. Typically don't mark up
- 13:07Speaker 2: our interest rates at all. We pass through the buy
- 13:09Speaker 2: rate from our selection of lenders. We've got a dozen
- 13:13Speaker 2: or so lenders that will compete for your business. So
- 13:16Speaker 2: it's an opportunity for you to get the best rate
- 13:19Speaker 2: and know you're getting a good shot. And you can
- 13:22Speaker 2: do a lot of that on our website, going without
- 13:25Speaker 2: even pulling your credit or if you want to actually
- 13:28Speaker 2: go through the whole process of buying the car online,
- 13:30Speaker 2: you can practically do that these days. Well, we'll deliver
- 13:34Speaker 2: or go to you, whether we're looking to purchase your
- 13:37Speaker 2: vehicle or want to your buying one from us. From
- 13:42Speaker 2: we deliver all over the country. We've had a lot
- 13:45Speaker 2: of people from it's crazy how that continues, but from
- 13:49Speaker 2: all overcoming, people from North Carolina and Georgia to buy,
- 13:54Speaker 2: buying things like old Forerunners and stuff like that. It's fascinating,
- 13:59Speaker 2: but that's the car business these days. We've got a
- 14:03Speaker 2: I mentioned to our great inventory right now on the lot.
- 14:05Speaker 2: We've got about twenty Toyotas on the ground right now,
- 14:09Speaker 2: about two more that are on the trucks on the way,
- 14:13Speaker 2: eight more that have been allocated to us that we
- 14:15Speaker 2: can see, and eleven more that we got this week
- 14:18Speaker 2: that are going to be become visible to us in
- 14:22Speaker 2: the next few days. And you know that. So the
- 14:26Speaker 2: Toyota inventory is always unfolding and we're never going to
- 14:29Speaker 2: have you know, those are one hundred on the ground
- 14:33Speaker 2: or something, but there's about forty right or fifty right
- 14:36Speaker 2: now do you can select from. And some of the
- 14:39Speaker 2: most desirable ones, the ones that people are looking for,
- 14:42Speaker 2: will go really quickly. So if you're looking for something special,
- 14:45Speaker 2: just reach out to us. We can see what's coming
- 14:48Speaker 2: in the pipeline. We can work to do a dealer
- 14:51Speaker 2: trade with another dealer if we need to find something
- 14:54Speaker 2: slightly different. But you know, you know, things like for
- 14:59Speaker 2: Runner has been really difficult to get. A land Cruiser
- 15:03Speaker 2: is a brand new model, so it's finding a specific
- 15:07Speaker 2: one is kind of difficult. We've got a brand new
- 15:10Speaker 2: four Runner coming, so the old one's kind of rare
- 15:13Speaker 2: and the new one didn't hear yet. You've got things
- 15:16Speaker 2: like Wrap four even our most popular vehicles. Wrap four
- 15:19Speaker 2: is our most popular, but they sell so quickly that
- 15:22Speaker 2: finding the exact one you want is difficult. Right now,
- 15:27Speaker 2: I do have a really great selection of Tacoma's a
- 15:30Speaker 2: great little truck. Toyota's really bread and butter truck. Not
- 15:35Speaker 2: to disparage the tun drawer or anything, it's a great
- 15:37Speaker 2: truck too, But but Tacoma has got a great reputation
- 15:41Speaker 2: and it's it's one of our best sellers in our
- 15:44Speaker 2: area here. And we've got I think right now about
- 15:47Speaker 2: ten of those on the either on the ground or
- 15:49Speaker 2: on the way, and and the next allocation had some
- 15:52Speaker 2: of those also. Tundra is there is great too. Right now,
- 15:57Speaker 2: there's some interest rates on Tundra. You can get as
- 16:00Speaker 2: low as I think it's one nine and then two
- 16:04Speaker 2: nine at seventy two and eighty four months, so really
- 16:07Speaker 2: great interest rates they've got. Toyta has zero percent on
- 16:12Speaker 2: just one model, I think that on the BZ four X,
- 16:15Speaker 2: but rates going up from there on a wide selection
- 16:18Speaker 2: of our vehicles, and there's always a great lease deals.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Toyta has great lease payments, and that's another thing to
- 16:25Speaker 2: consider is to keep your payment down. With inflation has
- 16:30Speaker 2: kind of driven up the cost of the new vehicle,
- 16:33Speaker 2: and interest rates have been higher over the last couple
- 16:37Speaker 2: of years too, so payments have gone up. In one
- 16:40Speaker 2: of the ways you can keep your payment down and
- 16:42Speaker 2: avoid things like extended term loans that really make it
- 16:48Speaker 2: difficult to get equity in your car. If you don't
- 16:51Speaker 2: put a bunch of money down up front, it often
- 16:54Speaker 2: takes years to build up where your act the car
- 16:57Speaker 2: is actually worth as much as you owe on it,
- 17:00Speaker 2: and at least never has that issue, so you can
- 17:03Speaker 2: if you lease seek a car, you're committed to it
- 17:06Speaker 2: only for the term of the least twenty four to
- 17:08Speaker 2: thirty six thirty nine months, whatever it is. In a
- 17:11Speaker 2: certain number of miles. At the end of your lease,
- 17:13Speaker 2: you have the choice to whether to keep the vehicle.
- 17:16Speaker 2: You can purchase it for the lease in residual value
- 17:19Speaker 2: which is established before, or you can turn it back
- 17:23Speaker 2: to the lease company. Often we're going to want to
- 17:26Speaker 2: purchase it. If you're not interested in buying it, it
- 17:28Speaker 2: will be a great use car for us. And you know,
- 17:31Speaker 2: so it gives you that all the flexibility locked in
- 17:35Speaker 2: low payment based on the great resale value that toyeters have.
- 17:40Speaker 2: It really helps keep those lease payments down low. So
- 17:47Speaker 2: another event I wanted to remind people of, we'll be
- 17:50Speaker 2: out there next Friday at the Poison Girls cause Great
- 17:54Speaker 2: Futures Launching. It's really a special one this year because
- 17:59Speaker 2: and it's one of my favorite events. We've been helping
- 18:02Speaker 2: sponsor that for a number of years. But they're welcoming
- 18:05Speaker 2: the new Dewey Club and so it's a Bartlesville and
- 18:08Speaker 2: Dewey Club event since the seventieth year of the club
- 18:12Speaker 2: here in Bartlesville, and will announce the Youth of the Year,
- 18:17Speaker 2: which is what the Great Futures Luncheon is all about.
- 18:19Speaker 2: There's a whole process where the club members go through
- 18:24Speaker 2: a contest where they're selected and advanced to the final
- 18:27Speaker 2: round and then are reviewed and give speeches to the
- 18:32Speaker 2: judges and then so they've become the youth of the
- 18:35Speaker 2: year here in Bartlesville and move on to a state
- 18:38Speaker 2: and nationwide competition. Our club members have won the statewide
- 18:42Speaker 2: competition many many times, and it really is a great process,
- 18:47Speaker 2: and it's neat to hear from those kids that have
- 18:52Speaker 2: spent a few years in the club often and have
- 18:55Speaker 2: really grown in that process and how that them telling
- 18:59Speaker 2: their story. And this year the guest speaker is Jackie
- 19:03Speaker 2: Joyner Kersey, a six time Olympian, And I think it's
- 19:08Speaker 2: going to be a great event. That's next Friday at lunchtime,
- 19:11Speaker 2: eleven fifteen. I think it begins. And so busy, busy
- 19:15Speaker 2: week next week with all the stuff going on at
- 19:17Speaker 2: the Frank Phillips Home and kicking off this this Saturday
- 19:21Speaker 2: night with the Christmas Parade.
- 19:23Speaker 3: And always a busy time around Christmas, it is, but
- 19:27Speaker 3: lots of fun.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Yeah, And let's remind him again about what's going on
- 19:31Speaker 2: at the Frank Phillips Home as we get ready for
- 19:34Speaker 2: Christmas and the open house nights.
- 19:36Speaker 3: And Christmas December fifteenth, that's next Sunday, three o'clock on
- 19:43Speaker 3: the lawn. Bring your lawn chairs, bring a blanket.
- 19:46Speaker 2: That's a free concert.
- 19:47Speaker 3: Pre concert absolutely and you're not going to be disappointed.
- 19:51Speaker 3: It's they put on an amazing show and it's.
- 19:53Speaker 2: The fifteenth year here in Bartlesville. That's that's awesome.
- 19:58Speaker 3: Christmas open House December seventeenth and December nineteenth, six six
- 20:04Speaker 3: pm to nine pm. Last admissions sold at eight o'clock.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Just get your tickets at the gift shop when you
- 20:11Speaker 3: get there.
- 20:12Speaker 2: It's a great way to experience the home, I think,
- 20:15Speaker 2: because it is you know, the former tours are great,
- 20:18Speaker 2: you're going to learn so much in that, but it's
- 20:21Speaker 2: always kind of fun to have the party atmosphere and
- 20:25Speaker 2: be able to just wander around the home and explore
- 20:27Speaker 2: on your own and talk to people. Obviously know a
- 20:31Speaker 2: lot about.
- 20:31Speaker 3: The home too, so it's not like see all of
- 20:33Speaker 3: our amazing Christmas decorations. We have got some excellent volunteers
- 20:38Speaker 3: that come in and do most of our Christmas trees.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Some of us staff do fill in the gaps, but
- 20:44Speaker 3: a lot is volunteer run and we're very thankful for
- 20:47Speaker 3: our volunteers we.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Have and if you are interested in volunteering, that's the
- 20:51Speaker 2: best way to find out information on that or maybe
- 20:55Speaker 2: other events.
- 20:56Speaker 3: Please taking more volunteers. Our volunteers do tours and we
- 21:00Speaker 3: will train you so you don't need to know a
- 21:03Speaker 3: lot about the family to be a volunteer. Come and
- 21:06Speaker 3: we'll teach you. Okay, Yeah, just stop by the mansion
- 21:09Speaker 3: anytime we're open, or you can call her director. Her
- 21:12Speaker 3: name is Michelle Swainey.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yep, I've had Michelle on the show. I love Michelle hopefully.
- 21:16Speaker 3: She said she was going to listen, so hello.
- 21:22Speaker 2: All right, Well that's that's great. The event's going on
- 21:25Speaker 2: down there, and we'll look forward to the open house
- 21:28Speaker 2: this year and Tuba Christmas and all the other great
- 21:30Speaker 2: stuff going on. And I know there's lots of events
- 21:33Speaker 2: going on all throughout.
- 21:34Speaker 3: The year that yeah, I hope to see both hill there.
- 21:36Speaker 2: Oh well, we'll be looking forward to that. And like
- 21:42Speaker 2: I said, there's a lot of great stuff going on
- 21:44Speaker 2: with the dealership too, including the charity anniversary giveaway and
- 21:49Speaker 2: you can select the Frank Phillips Home and the the
- 21:52Speaker 2: Frank Phillips Foundation if if that's your choice, and we're
- 21:55Speaker 2: going to make give away a bunch of money to
- 21:57Speaker 2: charities for with every car we sell, uh this this month,
- 22:01Speaker 2: and we've got Toyota matching part of our gift. So
- 22:05Speaker 2: it's really a great opportunity just to give back a
- 22:08Speaker 2: little bit. I know, you know that didn't going to
- 22:11Speaker 2: sway anybody to if it's not a great deal. So so,
- 22:16Speaker 2: but he is a chance to add on to to
- 22:18Speaker 2: your purchase a little bit and keep the Christmas spirit
- 22:22Speaker 2: which we like, we like to have it done just
- 22:24Speaker 2: I know. We're getting also getting ready for our Christmas party,
- 22:28Speaker 2: which is going to be that same crazy weekend next weekend.
- 22:31Speaker 2: Whatever's going on. Really excited. Our team has really come
- 22:38Speaker 2: together since we've all kind of focused on Toyota. It's
- 22:41Speaker 2: been a really exciting time at the team. And and
- 22:44Speaker 2: bringing back Brian Ballard on as our general sales manager
- 22:47Speaker 2: has been really great. He's been a good fit for
- 22:50Speaker 2: our team and provided some some experience in leadership that
- 22:54Speaker 2: that is always helpful. And Uh, we've got lots of
- 22:57Speaker 2: good stuff going on at the dealership and you know,
- 23:00Speaker 2: great people and just looking to help you with your
- 23:04Speaker 2: transportation needs. Good stuff going on in service too. I
- 23:08Speaker 2: was talking to Angela about that there's great deals on tires, breaks, batteries.
- 23:16Speaker 2: You can get discounts on our website where you can
- 23:19Speaker 2: get preaching discounts as you spend a little bit more So,
- 23:23Speaker 2: if you're needing automotive service, be sure to reach out
- 23:26Speaker 2: to us on that too and we'll be happy to help.
- 23:29Speaker 2: And we service any all makes and models at the
- 23:32Speaker 2: Toyota Dealership have a great team of technicians. They were
- 23:36Speaker 2: working on the Shay Model, a replica I mentioned that's
- 23:39Speaker 2: going to be at the making sure it's tuned up
- 23:42Speaker 2: and ready to roll at the Christmas Parade Saturday night,
- 23:46Speaker 2: and we will be down there to see everybody at
- 23:49Speaker 2: the parade and looking forward to all the fun stuff
- 23:53Speaker 2: going on here as we get ready for Christmas. So
- 23:59Speaker 2: and I guess we'll go back one more time through
- 24:02Speaker 2: the Frank Philips Home events and just so people don't.
