- 1:45Speaker 2: Oh no, you can't say that anymore.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Oh you can't say that. What if I am one?
- 1:49Speaker 4: What if I am a bitch?
- 1:51Speaker 5: Do it?
- 1:51Speaker 6: You are a bitch and you can say it as much.
- 1:54Speaker 5: As you want.
- 1:56Speaker 4: Well, then I'll say it. I'm a big nasty bitch.
- 2:00Speaker 6: Bug, I'm a bug.
- 2:02Speaker 5: I'm a bug and a boar and I'm in a bitch.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Oh, darlings, this this pestal, I mean, this old means
- 2:11Speaker 3: a lot from at the.
- 2:12Speaker 4: End of it, somebody's already hit the shabble. You sound
- 2:17Speaker 4: toss darling, You already sound tossed.
- 2:19Speaker 6: Blasted.
- 2:20Speaker 1: You can't be blasted this early. You can't be blasted
- 2:24Speaker 1: this early. That's why I swore off the stuff twenty
- 2:27Speaker 1: years ago. I swore off the stuff because it's nothing
- 2:31Speaker 1: but poisoned.
- 2:32Speaker 3: When I say I'm sure, when I say i'm blasted,
- 2:35Speaker 3: I mean I've had two packets of emergency because I
- 2:37Speaker 3: felt a cold this morning.
- 2:39Speaker 2: When it hits harder when you're old, yeah it does,
- 2:42Speaker 2: it does.
- 2:43Speaker 4: And you say that you swore off the poison. Yet
- 2:45Speaker 4: I see there's some dart frog poison in your eyebrows, Darling.
- 2:50Speaker 5: Come on, now, that's botox. Botox is poisoned, too, sweetheart.
- 2:54Speaker 1: You know I've been stretched to the brim since nineteen
- 2:57Speaker 1: eighty nine, absolutely, and I'm not ashamed of it.
- 3:02Speaker 5: I know you're not. I know you're not. Girls are wild.
- 3:06Speaker 5: I forgot you were here.
- 3:07Speaker 2: Man, You're so quiet and then you pop right back.
- 3:12Speaker 3: So raise a glass to the film coming out this weekend.
- 3:17Speaker 3: That's right, I'll raise my water, Okay, to the film
- 3:20Speaker 3: coming out this weekend, to all of us. Running to
- 3:24Speaker 3: the box office may be better than the last and
- 3:27Speaker 3: better than the one before.
- 3:28Speaker 2: Well, at my age, I won't be running anywhere.
- 3:31Speaker 4: Absolutely absolutely. The only thing that I'll be I'll be
- 3:35Speaker 4: running to is the bathroom. My bladder can't hold anything anymore, Darling.
- 3:39Speaker 3: The only thing I'll be running towards is my suit
- 3:41Speaker 3: of fed because I.
- 3:42Speaker 6: Have a damn cold.
- 3:45Speaker 2: Always have a cold.
- 3:46Speaker 6: That's my game. I'll ride it to the end.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Well, let's why don't we go around talk about who
- 3:56Speaker 1: we are, how we came to this movie. Women of
- 3:59Speaker 1: a Certain Age coming to the box office this October thirteenth.
- 4:05Speaker 1: October thirteenth, twenty twenty three, big weekend.
- 4:08Speaker 6: I can't believe it.
- 4:09Speaker 7: What a big weekend for movies. It is a wonderful
- 4:12Speaker 7: time for movies. I'm so excited for the movies.
- 4:18Speaker 5: Why don't you tell all the kiddies listening at home
- 4:21Speaker 5: who you are?
- 4:22Speaker 7: Well, come on, if you don't know who I am
- 4:24Speaker 7: by now, well just die.
- 4:28Speaker 6: The legend the doll face herself.
- 4:31Speaker 7: My name is Betty Silver. I am been an actress
- 4:35Speaker 7: since eighteen ninety four.
- 4:40Speaker 2: No, you're not Betty. You're always Betty. You're always lying.
- 4:43Speaker 5: I kidding around. I look like I'm from eighteen ninety four.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Oh, you don't look a day over four thousand.
- 4:49Speaker 5: Come ony, Betty.
- 4:51Speaker 6: Betty doesn't say a truthful word once.
- 4:55Speaker 5: You always catch me guessing active play tricks.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Yeah, where's that dress? Shrapnel from the Hindenburg where's your
- 5:04Speaker 4: nose from? I'm interested in getting one. Oh, this is
- 5:08Speaker 4: from my mother. I'm sorry she's closed for business.
- 5:13Speaker 6: She isn't a doctor.
- 5:16Speaker 5: I miss my mother so much.
- 5:19Speaker 6: God, I miss my mother.
- 5:22Speaker 5: My mother is still alive, and that's a lie.
- 5:26Speaker 1: I don't believe you. Once again, Betty, I don't believe
- 5:29Speaker 1: you in the slightest.
- 5:30Speaker 7: You'll never know if I can tell you the truth
- 5:31Speaker 7: or not. That's my thing and I'm wearing it out. Yes,
- 5:38Speaker 7: I'm Betty Silver from the silver screen. You can see
- 5:41Speaker 7: me in talkies and silent films if you know where
- 5:45Speaker 7: to look.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I play the I don't know where to look anymore
- 5:50Speaker 2: because I'm near sighted. Come on, and that's that's my thing.
- 5:55Speaker 2: I'm gonna write it to the end. I'm near sighted.
- 5:57Speaker 5: You're settling. I'm near sighted.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Yes, I think my main thing is that I'm gonna
- 6:01Speaker 1: be nearsighted, so strappan, because I'm gonna find a lot
- 6:06Speaker 1: of different ways to say it, and it's gonna be
- 6:08Speaker 1: surprising when I do. You think I'm gonna be talking
- 6:12Speaker 1: about something else and then rah ar right at the end,
- 6:16Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk about being nearsighted in a way that's unexpected.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I'm still amusing, all right.
- 6:22Speaker 7: Dear fantastic, Well, that's about me. I've been in legendary
- 6:26Speaker 7: and iconic films. I was in the first Galactic movies.
- 6:31Speaker 7: I was in a series of indies. Uh, and I've
- 6:35Speaker 7: won four Oscars, eight Academy Awards, three Grammys, and two
- 6:41Speaker 7: Poets Awards for my poetry in the eighties.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Touche toucha well, I'll, i'll, I'll introduce myself. I'm living.
- 6:52Speaker 5: Let me introduce yourself. You can barely see yourself.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Oh come on, well, thank you for helping me out
- 6:57Speaker 2: with the near sighted thing, because it's all want to do,
- 7:00Speaker 2: because it's a team effort to make this work.
- 7:04Speaker 5: I think all of these are going to be a team.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Ever, anybody thinks they can remember a good and surprising
- 7:10Speaker 1: way to bring up the fact that I'm near sight,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and I say, jump on it. Don't worry about stepping.
- 7:14Speaker 2: On my finger.
- 7:15Speaker 5: Thanks for the permission, day.
- 7:18Speaker 6: Granted.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 7:20Speaker 1: I'm Liz Foley. I've been an actress and an activist
- 7:25Speaker 1: for a very long time. I was in a several
- 7:31Speaker 1: sort of award winning movies in the eighties and nineties,
- 7:34Speaker 1: and then I transitioned primarily to sort of different charity causes,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and then after that I was in a Hulu series
- 7:46Speaker 1: called Ladies Being Gals Over sixty. It's a great series,
- 7:53Speaker 1: and I think it's it's really a revitalized a lot
- 7:56Speaker 1: of roles for it really dead women of well, to
- 8:00Speaker 1: quote our movie title once more, Women of a Certain Age.
- 8:03Speaker 5: It sells itself, it really does.
- 8:06Speaker 4: It's not.
- 8:06Speaker 1: I just want to point out that Women of a
- 8:07Speaker 1: Certain Age is not just for women of a quote
- 8:10Speaker 1: unquote certain age, because every woman is of a certain age.
- 8:15Speaker 2: And you see that in the film, yes, exactly.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Well, in the in the great in the monologue scene
- 8:21Speaker 1: I have with my daughter who who's forty, who I
- 8:24Speaker 1: never see eye to eye with, and she's of a
- 8:26Speaker 1: certain name, I say, I'm not just of a certain age,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you're also of a certain age, and that age is forty.
- 8:34Speaker 1: And we hug and we reunite for the first time
- 8:36Speaker 1: in many years, and they have.
- 8:38Speaker 3: Like a moment where it's like there, every woman is
- 8:41Speaker 3: of a certain age.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Exactly exactly.
- 8:45Speaker 1: And that's what I really wanted to push for in
- 8:47Speaker 1: this film, is it's not just a raunchy comedy about
- 8:52Speaker 1: women of a certain age looking for love in Las Vegas.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It's not just about that. It's about so much more.
- 9:00Speaker 1: And it's briefly about reconnecting with my daughter, very briefly,
- 9:05Speaker 1: very briefly, but you had to work it.
- 9:06Speaker 4: In unfortunately more briefly after the test. Greetings Darling.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Well wow, I say there was a lot more that
- 9:14Speaker 1: the audience didn't get to see, and I wish they did.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And I think it's a crime.
- 9:17Speaker 6: Well we don't say you're are north Star that we
- 9:21Speaker 6: follow in this.
- 9:22Speaker 5: A true leader.
- 9:23Speaker 6: You're a good leader.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Thank you, and I'm well, I'm just so grateful to
- 9:27Speaker 1: be surrounded by so many talented people.
- 9:31Speaker 4: It's really wonderful to be involved with you as well.
- 9:34Speaker 4: My name is Lily Wetland. I am an actress. I
- 9:37Speaker 4: have been acting since the early early seventies. I went
- 9:42Speaker 4: through all my heydays. I had a lot of hey days,
- 9:46Speaker 4: had a lot of big moments that I think about
- 9:49Speaker 4: all the time. But I'm here now. I am happy
- 9:53Speaker 4: to be back. I was hated for thirty years and
- 9:56Speaker 4: all of a sudden, I'm an icon again.
- 9:59Speaker 5: It feels good. You get the call for some still
- 10:02Speaker 5: hated by some, still hated.
- 10:03Speaker 4: For some I was hated for that silly thing that
- 10:07Speaker 4: I said when I accepted my Academy award, which was,
- 10:12Speaker 4: this is gonna look good in my bathroom.
- 10:14Speaker 5: The men didn't like that I said that.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's crazy the things you weren't allowed to say that
- 10:19Speaker 1: you could be blacklisted for in the eighties, earlier, the seventies.
- 10:23Speaker 5: And twenty eleven when I won mine.
- 10:25Speaker 1: It's crazy that we've really only been treating women this
- 10:28Speaker 1: way for about ten years.
- 10:29Speaker 4: It is really really fascinating. I'm certainly happy that I've
- 10:34Speaker 4: overcome the hatred and I get to be with my gals.
- 10:36Speaker 4: I mean, I historically have only been in movies where
- 10:41Speaker 4: I was kind of one of the only women, So
- 10:43Speaker 4: it's been fun to be on set with other women.
- 10:45Speaker 5: I think it's very true.
- 10:46Speaker 7: I think most of the films we've all done are
- 10:48Speaker 7: been mostly men.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Absolutely.
- 10:52Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many wives I've played how many?
- 10:56Speaker 1: And I think we've all let the table played distressed
- 10:59Speaker 1: wife at some point.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Point, every single one. What what was your line that
- 11:02Speaker 4: you had? What was the thing you repeated as.
- 11:04Speaker 5: You went crazy?
- 11:06Speaker 2: The thing that you repeated as you yeah, you went crazy?
- 11:11Speaker 6: I bet it's the same.
- 11:12Speaker 4: You you bastard.
- 11:17Speaker 5: That's it.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Mine was in the UK, so it was always your bastard.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Oh right, that's how they pronounce it the way. Yes.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Yes, Oh so good, so good that you have reclaimed
- 11:29Speaker 3: your story, Thanks babe.
- 11:31Speaker 6: Yes. And it is in the bathroom, isn't it.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Oh, it's in the bathroom, in the toilet. I'm just kidding.
- 11:38Speaker 4: It is in a toilet. But it's in a toilet.
- 11:39Speaker 4: I don't use that. I've glued to the wall.
- 11:43Speaker 2: So is the toilet?
- 11:45Speaker 5: Okay?
- 11:45Speaker 2: Is it is?
- 11:46Speaker 6: It?
- 11:47Speaker 2: Is it facing? I guess it doesn't really.
- 11:49Speaker 7: Well, this is going to be a whole category. A
- 11:52Speaker 7: question I'm going to ask later. Is our interior design tastes?
- 11:55Speaker 5: Oh?
- 11:56Speaker 4: Yes, because we all have very very specific tears, very
- 12:00Speaker 4: well known for design.
- 12:02Speaker 2: That's the whole thing that we could explore at length.
- 12:05Speaker 4: Another thing that actresses of a certain age are always
- 12:08Speaker 4: asked to talk about.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Well, I'll just say one thing about my interior design taste.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I can't see it if it's far away.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Say that and tee it up and dunked into the basket.
- 12:22Speaker 6: Oh darlings, my name is Puppy Brown.
- 12:25Speaker 3: I I grew up performing on the West End.
- 12:30Speaker 6: I did La miss La, Miss Lame, miss La.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Miss Then I did a little show called Foley's on
- 12:39Speaker 3: on the BBC for a while, played Young Victoria on
- 12:42Speaker 3: the BBC, and so you bastard, you know, did a
- 12:47Speaker 3: lot of just you know, silly sitcoms on there, then
- 12:52Speaker 3: finally made it here for Netflix is Netflix stuff.
- 12:55Speaker 6: Did some small parts in your shows.
- 12:58Speaker 2: Get starring women of a certain name?
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yes, I'm of a women being friends. What did I
- 13:04Speaker 1: say earlier being friends.
- 13:06Speaker 7: Women of over six No, it was women, girls being gals, girls.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Being gals, over sixty over rewriting history.
- 13:17Speaker 3: But I did a season on your show, and I
- 13:20Speaker 3: was the one that sold you guys beidays.
- 13:23Speaker 2: You did, you sold us bidets on screen and off.
- 13:27Speaker 6: And also I'm very method.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Well, I'll be honest, I'll be honest, puppy. We wrote
- 13:32Speaker 2: the role for you.
- 13:33Speaker 6: Yes, well that's what was so because.
- 13:35Speaker 1: We said, you know what, it would be really funny
- 13:37Speaker 1: if if these old gals were stuck in their ways
- 13:40Speaker 1: had to figure out.
- 13:41Speaker 2: A bidet for the first time. We thought that would
- 13:44Speaker 2: be pretty funny. And then we remembered lovingly, of course,
- 13:48Speaker 2: of course insane bidet business that you.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Panted to and that's what they and that's why they
- 13:53Speaker 3: wrote it for me. They called me the UK Liz Foley,
- 13:56Speaker 3: which I love and I love it too, and that's
- 13:59Speaker 3: why I think I love that in this movie we
- 14:01Speaker 3: have a beautiful mirror moment montage moment where we try
- 14:04Speaker 3: on the same clothes a couple of times.
- 14:06Speaker 5: Yes, we do.
- 14:07Speaker 1: And then there are certain times where we disagree, right
- 14:10Speaker 1: we where I I point to my I point down
- 14:15Speaker 1: there and you say.
- 14:16Speaker 2: Fanny yes, and I say Vagina yes.
- 14:19Speaker 6: And it's so funny.
- 14:20Speaker 5: That scene is a great scene, tested so well.
- 14:24Speaker 2: And I say aluminum and then you say no aluminium
- 14:28Speaker 2: and you storm out.
- 14:30Speaker 5: It's kind of the all is last point in the movie.
- 14:33Speaker 6: It's literally right when all is lost.
- 14:36Speaker 3: But I just love this, this company of women that
- 14:39Speaker 3: I'm sitting here with, because this company of women, it's
- 14:42Speaker 3: a strong it's a strong group of players and and
- 14:46Speaker 3: a lot of people don't realize that there's lots of
- 14:49Speaker 3: theater actors sitting here today that we grew up with
- 14:51Speaker 3: just doing a lot of theater.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Yes, yes, of course, very decorated to all of us.
- 14:55Speaker 5: Let's go around.
- 14:56Speaker 4: How many awards does everybody have? Let's say it, I
- 14:59Speaker 4: have two hours. I have three Tony's. I have nineteen
- 15:02Speaker 4: Emmys and I have no Grammys.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Oh that's incredible. I have four Olivier's. I have won
- 15:07Speaker 3: two Oscars and one Emmy.
- 15:09Speaker 5: Oh I forgot my webby.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Oh my webby was for a web series that I
- 15:15Speaker 4: shot with my great niece.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Good for you.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Good guess it's true that you're a lot of your
- 15:21Speaker 1: resurgence has been because of online, the memes, because of
- 15:25Speaker 1: because of making you sort of this.
- 15:28Speaker 2: I guess you could say ironic figure.
- 15:30Speaker 5: It is truly.
- 15:31Speaker 4: I'm watching my image go to hell and back from
- 15:35Speaker 4: twenty fourteen to twenty eighteen. I was put on the
- 15:37Speaker 4: face of devils, and then all of a sudden a
- 15:39Speaker 4: drag queen dressed up as me for some sort of performance,
- 15:43Speaker 4: and then all of a sudden I beloved.
- 15:45Speaker 5: So I'll take it. I will take it.
- 15:47Speaker 2: And I swear to God.
- 15:49Speaker 1: I think the drag queens are wired tapping our houses.
- 15:52Speaker 2: They are on the hume.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Do you think I'm listening, Lily.
- 15:56Speaker 2: I think they're listening right now.
- 15:57Speaker 1: And I wouldn't be surprised that in a show in
- 16:00Speaker 1: two weeks after the release, there's somebody dressed up as
- 16:03Speaker 1: you or you or.
- 16:04Speaker 6: You or met Lily.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Sometimes I think I do something funny so I can
- 16:10Speaker 3: give them things to do.
- 16:11Speaker 6: You know what I mean.
- 16:12Speaker 2: And I think that's generous.
- 16:14Speaker 4: I think there's very good odds that in about a
- 16:16Speaker 4: year there's gonna be a musical version of our show
- 16:19Speaker 4: done by men in drag and a basement of a
- 16:21Speaker 4: Mexican restaurant.
- 16:23Speaker 2: I think that's very very likely, And I think.
- 16:27Speaker 6: It'll be really good.
- 16:28Speaker 4: I think it'll be fantastic. It'll be and I'll go
- 16:31Speaker 4: opening night now, sign up posted.
- 16:33Speaker 6: And sometimes I think it'll be better than our movie.
- 16:35Speaker 5: I think it will, and I think it'll be more fun.
- 16:38Speaker 2: I think so. I think so well. I myself have
- 16:40Speaker 2: one tony from my one Woman show.
- 16:43Speaker 5: Oh my gosh, You're One Woman's show is amazing.
- 16:46Speaker 2: It went up and and I'm I, you know it's
- 16:49Speaker 2: there's barely any footage of it now, but it went
- 16:53Speaker 2: up in nineteen seventy nine. It was called Woman in
- 16:56Speaker 2: a Turtleneck.
- 16:57Speaker 6: Oh it was so good, and it trade.
- 17:00Speaker 1: The life of a woman in a black turtleneck and
- 17:04Speaker 1: the many turtlenecks she wears throughout her life and how
- 17:07Speaker 1: they signify a different stage, and I play my mother,
- 17:11Speaker 1: I play my grandmother, I play my aunt, I play

- 32:24Speaker 1: And I'm very glad we were able to work that
- 32:26Speaker 1: into this contract.
- 32:27Speaker 7: It was really beautiful. Instead of doing trailers, they let
- 32:30Speaker 7: us all rent a beautiful house.
- 32:32Speaker 5: We all had our different I was in.
- 32:33Speaker 7: An old, old, beautiful townhouse in the middle of the city.
- 32:38Speaker 7: I loved it. I thought it was so wonderful that
- 32:41Speaker 7: they let us stay there in.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Las Vegas, of course.
- 32:43Speaker 7: Yeah, a beautiful townhouse in Las Vegas. One of my
- 32:46Speaker 7: favorite townhouses I've ever been in. I loved it so much.
- 32:49Speaker 7: Where did they put you guys?
- 32:50Speaker 5: They rented me out the wind, which was really nice.
- 32:53Speaker 5: That's wonderful. Yeah, it was really nice to have the
- 32:55Speaker 5: whole wind to myself.
- 32:57Speaker 1: What about you, Well, I have a Tuscan villa in
- 33:00Speaker 1: my rider, so wherever I, uh, whenever I go into
- 33:03Speaker 1: a movie, they had they have to build me a
- 33:05Speaker 1: realistic sort of tusk and I.
- 33:07Speaker 7: Loved it was it was a beautiful. They built a
- 33:09Speaker 7: mound looking over the strip. But to really simulate and.
- 33:13Speaker 1: So and I don't ask for much for to be
- 33:16Speaker 1: in the villa, but you have to have some stuff
- 33:18Speaker 1: to make it feel like a villa at least.
- 33:20Speaker 2: So you need a corner store, post office.
- 33:22Speaker 7: Uh.
- 33:22Speaker 4: I heard that the Venetian bought that villa after you
- 33:25Speaker 4: left and you lit it on fire, so they couldn't
- 33:27Speaker 4: have it.
- 33:28Speaker 2: Well, I didn't want another corporate interest taking some Here
- 33:32Speaker 2: we go the common man. No, do you know what
- 33:36Speaker 2: the Venetian owns? Do you know who they're funded by?
- 33:38Speaker 2: I could not let them have.
- 33:40Speaker 5: The activist has arrived. Here comes the activist.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Say, twenty four hours in jail. But by this point
- 33:46Speaker 2: I'm used to it.
- 33:47Speaker 3: Just as I left my pharmacist, the activist comes.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Do you have a problem, you know what the pharmacist
- 33:56Speaker 2: to buy?
- 33:56Speaker 6: What a pharmacist and an activist in the room.
- 33:58Speaker 5: The room blows up. Stay in Vegas, Well, I had a.
- 34:02Speaker 3: Room in the circus circus because I'm a simple goal
- 34:05Speaker 3: but I made them turn off the roller coaster because
- 34:07Speaker 3: it's a power thing.
- 34:09Speaker 5: Okay, And it was nice to be on set. We
- 34:12Speaker 5: only shot for a month and a half.
- 34:16Speaker 6: Really really won in and out Nancy. Really.
- 34:20Speaker 3: That's what I love about Nancy is she's a tyrant
- 34:22Speaker 3: and she's been working for for so long.
- 34:24Speaker 6: She knows she.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Gets tyrant and white linen pants.
- 34:28Speaker 3: Yes, she she gets a coverage fast and she's always
- 34:31Speaker 3: rolling two cameras, so we always got our coverage together,
- 34:34Speaker 3: which I love.
- 34:35Speaker 5: I love the intimate scenes too. She's just so wonderful
- 34:38Speaker 5: because she's done it before.
- 34:40Speaker 2: It's wonderful.
- 34:41Speaker 1: Should we talk about our love interests and the boys?
- 34:46Speaker 2: We love the boys.
- 34:47Speaker 1: They they really found someone who was exactly the male
- 34:53Speaker 1: version of us.
- 34:54Speaker 6: Would let's go round?
- 34:56Speaker 5: Really?
- 34:56Speaker 1: Well, my mind I had sort of a well, I
- 35:02Speaker 1: had oh gosh, what's his name?
- 35:05Speaker 2: Colin Firth.
- 35:07Speaker 1: Colin Firth played my love interest. He was a busy
- 35:10Speaker 1: career businessman, divorced had kids and was too busy to
- 35:14Speaker 1: enjoy Las Vegas, and he's.
- 35:16Speaker 5: Playing a cradle robber. Because you're he's about thirty years
- 35:18Speaker 5: younger than you.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Well, yes, I'm a bit of a cougar in the movie.
- 35:23Speaker 1: But it's hard to find someone of my age who
- 35:26Speaker 1: still can be feasibly a romantic lead. I'll just say it, no, no, no,
- 35:32Speaker 1: knock against the boys, but that's just how it is.
- 35:35Speaker 5: Gorgeous.
- 35:35Speaker 7: My male count orders Gregory Tumnus. He is one of
- 35:39Speaker 7: the oldest actors still alive. A lot of his scenes, actually,
- 35:43Speaker 7: I don't know if you guys know this. They had
- 35:44Speaker 7: to ai a lot of his scenes. They kind of
- 35:46Speaker 7: filmed what he was there for and use that to
- 35:50Speaker 7: recreate some of those scenes. It was great, right because
- 35:53Speaker 7: he just didn't want to show up. He did not
- 35:55Speaker 7: want to show up. He just would not get out
- 35:57Speaker 7: of bed.
- 35:57Speaker 4: He was my great niece would show me Instagram for
- 36:00Speaker 4: it was of him hang gliding when we were supposed
- 36:01Speaker 4: to be shooting.
- 36:02Speaker 7: Said, it's it's insane with how much life that man has.
- 36:05Speaker 7: He needs a lot more. He needs less life at
- 36:08Speaker 7: this point, I.
- 36:09Speaker 5: Know, take them away, give some for the rest of us. Ayah.
- 36:12Speaker 4: My romantic partner, obviously playing the straight version of my
- 36:16Speaker 4: gay husband, was Skellon Scar's guard and he was fantastic.
- 36:21Speaker 4: He was wonderful and he's so funny to be around.
- 36:26Speaker 4: We have become pinpals. Actually, we're very fond of each other,
- 36:30Speaker 4: very wonderful. He lives in Sweden, so I like to
- 36:33Speaker 4: email him letters.
- 36:36Speaker 7: Okay, let's talk about email.
- 36:41Speaker 5: I love the.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Idea of writing it, but I don't trust the mail
- 36:44Speaker 4: to get it there, so I do use email for that.
- 36:46Speaker 7: But I write the letters, I cannot I cannot figure
- 36:50Speaker 7: out what they mean. I cannot understand how you're going
- 36:53Speaker 7: And what is this whole thing? Does a Gmail mean
- 36:55Speaker 7: a hot mail? I don't get it.
- 36:57Speaker 5: I don't get it either. I just use it.
- 37:00Speaker 4: Sometimes you don't have to get something to use something.
- 37:03Speaker 6: Should we do enough? I don't get technology things? Wait?
- 37:09Speaker 5: Yeah? Sorry? Yeah? What yeah? You did?
- 37:12Speaker 6: Did we say? I don't get tech and phones?
- 37:14Speaker 7: And yeah, the bud, the big studio wanted you to
- 37:16Speaker 7: do that at least three times.
- 37:17Speaker 5: I think you've only been doing it twice. All right,
- 37:20Speaker 5: I'll mention I miss fax machines? Is that real?
- 37:23Speaker 2: And I don't get at what is TikTok a clock?
- 37:26Speaker 6: What's lol means lots of love?
- 37:28Speaker 5: That's one too many? Okay, thank you so much.
- 37:30Speaker 4: Back in my day, stories came from your mouth, not
- 37:33Speaker 4: from uh, your phone.
- 37:35Speaker 3: Good, a little bit of like I pulled something that.
- 37:41Speaker 1: We're always pulling something.
- 37:45Speaker 5: What do you want me to do with it? Just
- 37:46Speaker 5: write it down?
- 37:47Speaker 1: Write down that we said it. Tell the studio we
- 37:49Speaker 1: made a joke about pulling something.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Oh my god, you.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Can write, can't you?
- 37:53Speaker 5: Darling?
- 37:53Speaker 6: Anyway?
- 37:54Speaker 5: You know writing?
- 37:56Speaker 2: Yeah, you're familiar.
- 37:57Speaker 5: With I've heard of a pen pen.
- 38:00Speaker 6: Yes, okay, it's not a vibrated darling.
- 38:03Speaker 5: We'll look at top.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Oh.
- 38:05Speaker 3: I got to feel the sloppy, wet kiss of Idris
- 38:07Speaker 3: Alba and it was gorgeous.
- 38:09Speaker 2: Another cradle robbing scene.
- 38:12Speaker 5: I cannot believe we got him. I can't he felt
- 38:19Speaker 5: into it.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Well, it's because he he read the script just out
- 38:24Speaker 1: of curiosity. We have the same agent, and he was like, oh,
- 38:27Speaker 1: that sounds fun. I'm looking for something to read.
- 38:30Speaker 2: I heard you.
- 38:30Speaker 6: I heard your agent air dropped it to him.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Yes, technology, Wait, hold on, what's air drop?
- 38:37Speaker 5: You guys are good. You don't need another one.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Okay, thank you, thank god right.
- 38:40Speaker 4: Oh my god, I was gonna say something about dropping
- 38:43Speaker 4: my fucking panties or something.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I was gonna air dropping when your skydive? Is that
- 38:50Speaker 2: with a gen Z? We haven't said the price gen
- 38:53Speaker 2: Z yet, So there we go.
- 38:54Speaker 5: Oh great, there we go.
- 38:55Speaker 6: Covered it.
- 38:56Speaker 7: Okay, great, I'll just be over here. Just text me, guys,
- 38:59Speaker 7: just the same.
- 39:00Speaker 5: It's the issue.
- 39:00Speaker 6: We won't text anyway.
- 39:02Speaker 2: I'm excuse me, so sorry. I'm back with your.
- 39:04Speaker 6: Tongue, Sarah.
- 39:05Speaker 2: Yes, back with your tongues.
- 39:07Speaker 1: And I am back with your child sized nasal strips.
- 39:10Speaker 1: They didn't have the moons, but they had these stars.
- 39:14Speaker 5: I don't like her attitude.
- 39:16Speaker 6: You don't know.
- 39:17Speaker 5: What do you think I should do something?
- 39:20Speaker 6: What do you think I should do?
- 39:21Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 39:22Speaker 6: This is what we would do on set for the listeners.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Okay, you guys are gonna pull a prank on me.
- 39:26Speaker 1: Just do it fast because I have to get back
- 39:27Speaker 1: to CBS. Okay, I'm just gonna go.
- 39:32Speaker 5: Bye, go bye, Sarah.
- 39:34Speaker 6: We would do little pranks on set, and we should
- 39:36Speaker 6: talk about that.
- 39:36Speaker 5: Let us talk about the pranks on set because it was.
- 39:39Speaker 6: So fun to like do a little behind.
- 39:41Speaker 7: When Idris Elba had to. We made him sit on
- 39:43Speaker 7: that whoopee cushion, a very good prank.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Most of our pranks were on Idris Elba and Colin Firth.
- 39:49Speaker 1: We called our we called them the babies, the babies,
- 39:52Speaker 1: and our.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Pranks were all like fifties, nineteen fifties pranks.
- 39:56Speaker 5: Yeah, nineteen fifties pranks.
- 39:57Speaker 7: When we made the wheels fall off of Colin Firth
- 40:00Speaker 7: his car, that was fun.
- 40:02Speaker 6: That was fun, and thank you to the art department
- 40:04Speaker 6: for that. That was a hard.
- 40:06Speaker 5: Puppy when you pants seat yourself, but that was fun.
- 40:08Speaker 5: That was very fun.
- 40:10Speaker 6: It was so hard to get low and bend my
- 40:11Speaker 6: knees like that, but we did it.
- 40:13Speaker 4: It was really funny to watch an eighty one year
- 40:14Speaker 4: old woman trying to pant someone because you forget how
- 40:17Speaker 4: low you have to pant someone, it's really and.
- 40:20Speaker 2: How fast you have to grab hold of the pants
- 40:22Speaker 2: and pull them down.
- 40:23Speaker 6: Yes, especially post me too, and he was, yeah, he was.
- 40:26Speaker 4: He was in tights for the Search of le scene.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Can we talk about the Blue Man groups?
- 40:34Speaker 4: Yes, let's talk about all of the performative groups we
- 40:37Speaker 4: we worked with because as part of the plot, we
- 40:40Speaker 4: get confused for performance art, and so we get kind
- 40:44Speaker 4: of chipped into the wild world of Vegas nightlife and
- 40:48Speaker 4: Vegas performances.
- 40:49Speaker 6: We do actually a.
- 40:50Speaker 2: Wild departure from Nancy.
- 40:52Speaker 5: Really weird. I yeah, I'm just.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Putting that together now.
- 40:56Speaker 7: Yes, it was really a big love story, but the
- 40:58Speaker 7: primary thing that's moving the plot forward was that we
- 41:01Speaker 7: got confused for an avant garde performance band and now
- 41:04Speaker 7: are asked to performing Old.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Lady hats were so wacky, then they assumed we.
- 41:09Speaker 4: Must be in and Liz's face skin is so tight.
- 41:11Speaker 4: They Blue Man Group used her as a drum.
- 41:14Speaker 2: Stop and stop and come on now you could actually
- 41:17Speaker 2: you up.
- 41:19Speaker 6: Oh we like that, come on now.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Exactly exactly.
- 41:26Speaker 4: Well, it looks like the old women have gotten tired
- 41:29Speaker 4: all of a sudden, which happens at your age.
- 41:31Speaker 7: It just you hit a point around forty minutes where
- 41:33Speaker 7: you just stopped caring talking, You just stop.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Well, I loved everyone who worked on Circus La. I
- 41:41Speaker 2: speak four different languages, and a lot of them were foreign.
- 41:44Speaker 2: So I got some new ideas for how to decorate
- 41:46Speaker 2: my eyes.
- 41:49Speaker 5: What's the new ways?
- 41:51Speaker 2: French, German, love that, love that, and Chinese.
- 41:57Speaker 5: Okay, two of those three sounded like the right direction.
- 41:59Speaker 2: What's the what's the wrong direction.
- 42:02Speaker 5: I guess we'll find out.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I guess when the decor goes up in my bathroom.
- 42:07Speaker 5: We'll find out when we see what is sold in nuts.
- 42:10Speaker 5: So that you're a state sail darling.
- 42:12Speaker 1: Oh come on, well, you'll never see my estate sale
- 42:16Speaker 1: because I'm going to yours first.
- 42:17Speaker 7: And you'll never see your estate sale either because you
- 42:19Speaker 7: can't see Oh oh.
- 42:23Speaker 1: We brought it back to that. Well, I'm very excited
- 42:30Speaker 1: for this movie to come out. Go see Women of
- 42:32Speaker 1: a Certain Age October thirteenth, and what do you fucking
- 42:36Speaker 1: call everywhere movie theater?
- 42:39Speaker 6: I don't know what they call it anymore.
- 42:41Speaker 4: We just want this to be a testament to you
- 42:43Speaker 4: can still you can be eighty and you can still act.
- 42:46Speaker 4: You can be eighty and you can still laugh, you
- 42:49Speaker 4: can be eighty and you can still rock the.
- 42:52Speaker 3: House, and that you can be a different that the
- 42:56Speaker 3: hero of a rom com could be a woman of any.
- 43:01Speaker 1: And you're a woman of a certain age, and you're
- 43:03Speaker 1: a woman of a certain age, and.
- 43:05Speaker 5: You're a woman of a certain age, and you're a
- 43:07Speaker 5: woman of a.
- 43:08Speaker 3: Certain age, and you're a woman of a certain age
- 43:10Speaker 3: and you're a woman of.
- 43:12Speaker 1: A certain age, and I'm a woman of a certain age,
- 43:14Speaker 1: and so is the Blue Man Group.
- 43:16Speaker 5: And my thing is I like peanuts.
