- 0:15Yeah, yeah, yeah, h Hello, I've been waiting all day for
- 1:18this. Give it to me. Come on, hello, y'all. Y'all
- 1:30gonna have to deal with the smoky tonight. Wow, that got real deep.
- 1:37See when a boy turns into a man. Now, that's every time
- 1:42this happens. I really hope that I will become a real boy. But
- 1:48it never lasts, Belle said, Bell said Batman absolutely. Who's there's a
- 1:57music guy. He's a country guy, Josh Turner who has a real deep
- 2:01voice. Oh you gla yeah, you could do some Josh Turner. But
- 2:07I've been waiting all day to hear the Batman. Luke, I am your
- 2:13father. Hi. Wait a minute, that's a Batman Luke. That's the
- 2:23Okay, I'm like, that's the yeah I've never seen. I don't know,
- 2:30I get sing the weird alse song truck riding the truck flat. Well,
- 2:39I think you sound great and I'm drinking out of my special glass.
- 2:46I'm the reason Santa has a naughty list. In case everybody mattered why there
- 2:53was a naughty list, it's all me. Is accurate. That is accurate,
- 2:59for sure, it's all me. I sound nothing like myself. This
- 3:05is weird. I don't like it. I like it kinda. I had
- 3:10a volunteer come up today because she was doing an evaluation of a team or
- 3:15a prospective team, and she walked in andrising for my voice, and I
- 3:21was trying to tell them, like, it sounds like it hurts, there
- 3:23is no pain. I had slight cold symptoms yesterday and then boom and the
- 3:30cold symptoms went away minus this. And she was like, I think it's
- 3:34sexy. And I was like, you, ma'am, are like sixty three
- 3:38years old. I don't mind, that's fine. Six no, no,
- 3:42I lied, she's in her seventies. She's in her seventies. And I
- 3:46was like, no, I mean it's cute. Thanks, I'm just so
- 3:51sexy. I mean, I do what as missus Bruce, I sir think.
- 3:55Does she think it sounds sexy? She thinks that I talked too much
- 4:00and that's why this happened, which is probably true. It's definitely overused as
- 4:06part of it. But I stopped streaming so much, so I did not
- 4:10expect this. It came out of left field. Well, but there's also
- 4:15a lot I don't know about your weather there. I mean, we were
- 4:17like forty degrees and today was seventy four. It was seventy or where you
- 4:25were, Yeah, so seventy four in Austin, Texas. Today it has
- 4:30bounced back and forth. In fact, here's something weird. Yesterday in Virginia
- 4:34it was colder than it was in Alaska. Wow, on average, but
- 4:42like, yeah, it's been like fifty and then nineteen at night, and
- 4:46then yeah, it's just rough. And then also I was in a different
- 4:51state for Thanksgiving, which we can talk about Thanksgiving later, but that was
- 4:57different weather with different allergens and everything else. I think just every it was
- 5:00a it is as much as I would like this to strengthen and stay as
- 5:04slow, because I feel like I could do like in a world, you
- 5:10know, we're world where YouTube streamers are all very popular. I just like
- 5:16I feel like you, Japa, you know, I just I feel like
- 5:25I love it now. I think you should just keep talking a whole lot
- 5:28so it'll stay that way for a while. It makes me that really wants
- 5:31to do that. What do your kids think they they just want to watch
- 5:43Leo on Netflix? Oh that they don't really, It's just like, oh,
- 5:48that's just dad and he's being silly again. But yeah, they're just
- 5:54I think I've seen If you haven't seen Leo on Netflix, it's it's it's
- 5:58animated, but it's by Adam Sandler, and it's Adam Sandler as a lizard
- 6:03and then Build Burr as a turtle and the two of them together are hysterical.
- 6:06It was really well done. It's like everything Adam Sandler wished he could
- 6:10tell his kids, or he had told his kids. It's so well put
- 6:15together. I love it. Okay, then I'll have to watch it with
- 6:18my littles. Yeah, watch it with monkey Butt because we'll have monkey butt
- 6:25and action Jackson. On Saturday, I went and saw the new Disney movie
- 6:31Wish a Wish. How I cried, I laughed, my heart swelled,
- 6:41I got mad. It was perfect. It was wonderful. And Julia Michaels
- 6:47wrote all the music a lot of the music for it and performed and she
- 6:54is just phenomenal. If you've not heard her, don't know who she is.
- 6:58She is amazing sing and just it was great so wish. I don't
- 7:04know if you watch Disney or Big Disney. People like in Pinocchio, he
- 7:09wishes on a star, they wish on a star in Princess and the Frog,
- 7:15and they do in a lot of different Disney movies, so they kind
- 7:18of took that concept of Wishing on a Star. But it's really good.
- 7:24But Chris Pines is a bad guy. He's bad, He's naughty. He's
- 7:32hot in the movie, but He's naughty is an animated film. It is
- 7:39an animated film, but you can tell it's him. It looks like him,
- 7:44kind of like I believe the hyena in the original Lion King that whoodp
- 7:47be Gouldberg voiced, I'm sorry that hyena. I looked at it. I'm
- 7:53like, that's Whoopee. Oh no, no, no, no, those
- 7:57those hyaenas were drawn to look like those those evil I mean, Whoope's look
- 8:01like whoopee. Cheach cheech marine the other hyena and looked like cheech And then
- 8:09I can't remember who did the voice of Ed, but you know he Yeah,
- 8:15So I mean that that was purposeful for sure. Yeah. Well they
- 8:18did the same thing in Wish. Yeah. I just saw a stand up
- 8:26comedian's bit yelling at Disney for always creating movies that make you cry, so
- 8:33well, can you just make a one please? But they do. I
- 8:37mean, I like that it gives you all of the realms of emotions,
- 8:43you know, just I mean, you go up, you go down.
- 8:46I mean, because that's a good show, a good movie. I don't
- 8:50I mean, I don't want to watch a movie that's just funny. I
- 8:52wanted to have funny parts. I wanted to have sad parts. I wanted
- 8:56to I want the full That's how Elemental was for me. Did you see
- 9:03Elemental? I did, and it was a good one. There's only been
- 9:09a couple of Disney movies that I didn't like. Oh, only been a
- 9:16couple that I didn't care for. Uh, these unpopular opinions, like a
- 9:24Little Mermaid. I didn't like a Little Mermaid. Now I like the Little
- 9:33Mermaid Live performance that they do and Disney World, but I didn't like the
- 9:41movie. I have a problem with somebody brushing their hair with a fork,
- 9:46because to me, it's just cruel that you. I mean, because there
- 9:52was a movie that came out after that when I got a little bit older,
- 9:58and they these kids, and they taught them the wrong words for everything,
- 10:05so like they taught them that a fork was really a hair brush,
- 10:09and then they ate with the hair brush, so and it showed how that
- 10:13you could take young kids into really screw their world up by that. And
- 10:18that's when I said, you really Yeah, So I really don't like it
- 10:24anymore. You know, every now and again, I'll make a comment about
- 10:30a movie, like, for instance, like you had said she brushes her
- 10:33hair with a fork, and I'll say it to Carrie and Carrie will say,
- 10:39She'll say, you know that these are animals that talk, right,
- 10:41like this is not serious, And I'm like, yeah, but I mean,
- 10:46if you can do it. Also, capin Thank You, Jim Cummings
- 10:50was ed. He did sing some of scar for Jeremy Irons. Jim Cummings
- 10:56is also the voice of Winnie the Pooh as well as many many other character
- 11:01He's phenomenal. So she's got issues. I mean, she has issues.
- 11:11Yeah, and you made it was because because you know, it was on
- 11:16VHS. And I don't know if anybody remembers this. I just remember I
- 11:20was so excited to see it when I was younger. I don't remember when
- 11:22it came out and I came home with it and the first thing my brother
- 11:26did was look at the cover and he goes, why is there penis on
- 11:31the cover? Because the original I have the original, and I don't know
- 11:37if that made me be like, oh, that's weird. Then to watch
- 11:41the movie and things were called. There was just a lot that just if
- 11:46you are not a fan of the Little Mermaid, then you should watch one
- 11:52moment please. Netflix just released a new animated well relatively new. Is it
- 12:00called cracking? Cracking? I believe it's called and cracking? Yeah, like,
- 12:07but it's it's all about this girl and her discovering her true identity.
- 12:11And but Mermaids are not in the greatest of light in that movie, so
- 12:18you might like it. Yeah, cracking, Samantha, Sam, thank you.
- 12:22I also don't like Shrek. Okay, well we might fight on that
- 12:28one. At least the original. And I'll be honest, I've only seen
- 12:33it once. I've only seen it. Give it one more shot, Okay,
- 12:39maybe I will. And it was back when I saw it, back
- 12:43when I was married to a whole So maybe that was it. But like,
- 12:50I couldn't even tell you what the story was about. I mean I
- 12:56really couldn't tell you. I think they fall in love and they were ogres.
- 13:01That's all I can tell you about it. So maybe it was just
- 13:03a bad Yeah, I think I think give it, give it another God,
- 13:09and I will first movie. There's a lot that comes from that movie
- 13:13that's used in normal rhetoric every day now, like, Okay, the Donkey
- 13:18was amazing. Yeah, oh yeah, Eddie Murphy killed it. But that
- 13:20was Eddie Murphy. Yeah that's true. But yeah, he took some very
- 13:28freaking sad stories and turned them into something else. Yeah, so I will.
- 13:33I will commit to watching Shrek again because we own it. The littlest
- 13:41watch it. I just never watch it because when they turn it on,
- 13:45I'm like, yeah, no, I'm out, You're gonna watch Shrek.
- 13:48What should I commit to watching? What should you commit to watching? Jim
- 13:54and the Holograms? What the hell is that? It sounds what a group?
- 14:03It was my favorite animated thing that I would watch while I was getting
- 14:07dressed. When I was I was thinking, was a freshman in high school.
- 14:13This looks like a fever dream, mushroom trip. It's great that she
- 14:18has a great voice and she sings. Is it? Wait? Hold on,
- 14:26I saw the car. It was a cartoon. It was a cartoonopped
- 14:28up. Yeah, it was a cartoon. Yeah, No, I watched
- 14:33the cartoon. Wait, is it Captain knows what I'm talking about. Oh
- 14:41no, it was. Yeah, it was back in the eighties. Like
- 14:46I started high school in eighty four. You know they made a movie fifteen,
- 14:52right. No, I don't want to watch the movie. Okay,
- 14:56I'm going to stick to Jim in the Holograms because I had great memory.
- 15:00I will. I even had the TV that I still had to change the
- 15:03dial and I had to take the antenna and move the ears to work.
- 15:11I will find out where to watch it. I think you can watch it
- 15:16online. Oh shoot, Netflix? Maybe? Yeah, but so I think
- 15:22you should watch that. Oh no, not Netflix. That's okay. Oh
- 15:26is anybody else agreeing? I say something about squid games? Geez you?
- 15:35Yeah. And I remember the TV series Beauty and the Beast. I love
- 15:39Beauty and the Beast. It's one of my It's one of my favorites.
- 15:45That in Cinderella and snow White. I want to be Belle. That's miss
- 15:54Bruce Grim's favorite princess. And it makes sense because she is very BookSmart and
- 16:00very independent. Yeah, and I love books. I mean she I just
- 16:03I love everything about her. I love everything about her. I keep trying
- 16:08to get h h for Halloween. One year for him to dress up as
- 16:11the Beast and me to dress up be amazing. Yeah, he always likes
- 16:18to go for the gory, crazy looking stuff. You can be a horror
- 16:23version of the Beast. No, I look ripping people to shreds. Nope,
- 16:30you cannot do that to the Beast. You can't. So what are
- 16:36you drinking? Because I'm drinking a special bottle tonight, you are. I
- 16:41am not. If you see me pouring constantly, it's because this is basically
- 16:45water. This as Bearringer mane and wine, white zinfandel. They that's an
- 16:52easy drinking Yeah. Yeah, like I've literally had that much already since we
- 16:59started. It will sneak up on you, so be careful. You're your
- 17:03immune system might be down a little bit. Well, I'm drinking a stella.
- 17:08You're killing stuff I think you need hard liquor and killing all head stuff
- 17:14in my throat. You know, I'm gonna get better by killing it with
- 17:15alcohol. Okay, But what I've heard wine, because it's fermented, it
- 17:22doesn't kill germs and stuff like vodka, tequila, rum. It encourages.
- 17:32That's the thought process of terrorists, and I don't support that. That is
- 17:40that that science is by the same people who ate horse paste and drank bleach
- 17:45to get rid of COVID. Well, I've drinken a mescato for the first
- 17:52time ever that I got to meet. I'll just call her l because I
- 17:59don't know if'm supposed really what our first name is. She is the special
- 18:03update that we have coming up Double H and I are working on editing it.
- 18:08It was from season one, episode three that we helped somebody out a
- 18:17listener with something and she agreed to do an update, and we did the
- 18:22interview a couple of weeks ago. She came to Chase Lackey event and brought
- 18:27me the bottle of wine that she was drinking the day we did the interview,
- 18:33So I'm drinking moscot. She delivered faster than our parent sponsors. Yeah,
- 18:48is that still happening, because I don't know it is. And I've
- 18:52gone back and forth because they say it was shipped and it was signed for
- 19:00and it is not shipping. Uh, they're supposed to And that's been four
- 19:07months, five months, and to be honest, I kind of just realized
- 19:12they're having problems. They were purchased by a very large fashion brand and I
- 19:21personally think they were like, oh, yeah, we don't want to honor
- 19:26that. Listen if I anceld no, I canceled my wine club membership with
- 19:34them that my mom and I had had fifty over twenty years. If anybody
- 19:45knows anybody who does wine or anything really not not not who has a liquor
- 19:53store, but who actually does wine or liquor or whatever, and they're interesting
- 20:00having stuff on the show, Terry and I are more than happy to give
- 20:04a shout out. We just obviously have to taste it first. Absolutely well,
- 20:11I will tell y'all. And I actually tasted this and I shared it
- 20:15on our Facebook page, I think, and I am going to be sending
- 20:19you a bottle. It's called mud Slinger and it's a bloody mary mix and
- 20:26it is well HH loves it. I don't like tomatoes, but I actually
- 20:34tasted the stuff. It's a horse radish heat instead of halopenia. So if
- 20:44it didn't have tomatoes, you know, if you didn't, if it wasn't
- 20:48tomato based, I might like it. But I will say it was good.
- 20:53And I'm going to ask them if maybe they want us to give them
- 20:59some shout out, that'd be good. It looks like because Sam News some
- 21:02people in Orlando in California, so that's good. Yes, I'm working on
- 21:08another winery that is in Texas that h H. And I actually joined their
- 21:15wine club because it is the first Texas wine that I thought was worth my
- 21:22money to buy or drink. Amos miss oh is it amos amos? Yeah?
- 21:30I sound bad. I don't feel bad. I have no other symptoms.
- 21:37I just sound like Batman. Can you stop saying your bad because you
- 21:42sound you sound sexy. I could fall asleep to that voice. I could
- 21:51replace Keith Morrison for a couple of nights with your voice. It would only
- 21:56be a couple of nights because I'll go right back to Helium inspired JT and
- 22:00a little Bit and you know it. Speaking of Keith Morrison, I don't
- 22:04know if anyone follows him on Twitter or anywhere. He does not ever share
- 22:11things and ask for donations. He doesn't get anything to have to with money.
- 22:17He did share Matthew Perry's foundation that went live on a couple of days
- 22:25after he died, So he did share that for Sharing Tuesday, and I
- 22:29appreciated that, and I think it was more impactful because he never does stuff
- 22:33like that. So it really hit me in the fields and I really had
- 22:37to go and jump and donate. Oh yes, okay, don't go.
- 22:51All done, I did it. Don't go can I Are you okay with
- 22:57me? Move into the next thing. Absolutely, let's go. It's it's
- 23:03okay, but let's go. All right, here we go. So Kelly
- 23:08P reached out to me today, and just as I always have said ever
- 23:14since I met everybody in the community, and you know me, if we
- 23:18can do some good with the platform we have, obviously we're going to do
- 23:22it. And so to me, it's really important. So Kelly P came
- 23:26to me, Kelly P came, What am I telling them? That's what
- 23:34I want to know? Oh yeah, all right, okay, can you
- 23:42talk dirty to me? So Kelly sent me this information about somebody who's missing.
- 23:48Now it's in Mount Dora, Florida. You all might not be in
- 23:55that area. You might have some friends that are in that area. Oh
- 23:57good night. But I think it's important to share because we can do that
- 24:04here. We have that privilege, and I think if you have the privilege,
- 24:10you need to use it for good and not for selfish purposes. Okay.
- 24:15So Nicole Baldwin Oh boy, this is gonna sound like a movie trailer.
- 24:22Nicole Baldwin has been missing since November two, twenty twenty three. She's
- 24:27from Mount Dora, Florida, in Lancaster on Strathmore Circle. She's forty one.
- 24:33Her heights five foot five, She's one hundred and thirty five pounds.
- 24:37She's got brown hair that's died blonde with hazel eyes. I'm glad they said
- 24:41died blonde because if it's been almost a month, chance it's our roots are
- 24:45starting to show. When she went missing, she was wearing a pink nightgown.
- 24:49She was barefoot, she didn't have any belongs with her. It's possible
- 24:53she's in a mental health crisis and she does need medication for serious health conditions.
- 25:00So please, please please, if if you can, if you can
- 25:03share this, If you look up missing Nicole Baldwin on Facebook, you'll find
- 25:07the group. But if if our if our cork cork killers can can can
- 25:14share share this around you know we have a wide, a wide reach,
- 25:19and that would be very good. As you can see you can see her
- 25:23tattoos there. But if you know anything, contact the Mount Door Police Department
- 25:30and the hashtags that they're using are find Nicole Baldwin and missing in Florida and
- 25:36uh in well soon to be soon to be three days, uh I think
- 25:44it's what December sixth, Yeah, December December third, they're doing a search
- 25:52party. So if you're around that area and you want to be a part
- 25:56of search party, they're doing it on December third at two pm. They're
- 26:03meeting at Lagracia. I hope I said that right Baptist Church, and they're
- 26:08gonna be doing They're asking for people to bring their side by sides, their
- 26:11four wheelers and their quads. I have no idea what a side by side
- 26:15is, but that being said, don't let the voice fool you. I
- 26:18have the testosterone level of an eighty year old. No, I'm kidding.
- 26:26I hope everybody just died collectively just then. But after the search, they're
- 26:30also going to be doing a candlelight vigil as well. This woman is a
- 26:33mom of three. Let me let me get to let me bring up just
- 26:41a little bit more information that was shared with me by Kelly. Thanks by
- 26:44the way again, Kelly. So she has a twenty year old daughter,
- 26:49She has an eleven year old daughter and a fourteen year old son and her
- 26:55her twenty year old daughter. I'm not gonna say their names just because I
- 27:00don't want to bring more attention. I want to bring attention to the missing,
- 27:03you know, I don't want to, Okay anyway, So, her
- 27:07twenty year old daughter has kept her Apple Apparently when she she was taken,
- 27:11like things were left like her Apple watch and other things. Right, I
- 27:15think that's what she had, her purse, her phone, mean right,
- 27:19a woman doesn't use those things, right, since she's been missing, her
- 27:23twenty year old daughters had her Apple watch on, trying to keep little things
- 27:27to hold on to her, she said. But she they're really worried about
- 27:32her well being and that it's very unlike her to disappear. So Mountain Doors
- 27:38leading that investigation. And so if anybody knows anything or if you can share
- 27:45it, please do I think that would be awesome? Yeah, I mean
- 27:51yeah, I've learned from the Chase Lacky case and dealing with them. Sharing
- 27:56that Facebook page, going join the group gets the word out there. The
- 28:02more people that join that page with updates and share it. That's the great
- 28:07thing about social media. You can share it. You may say, I
- 28:11don't know anybody in Florida. But if you share it to your group,
- 28:14there may be fifteen people that know people in Florida and can share it with
- 28:18them. So definitely, I would say share it, but also join the
- 28:25finding page. Yeah, that's that's one of the best ways that you can
- 28:30stay in touch with everything that's going on. Kelly says. The Mounta Door
- 28:34is close to Orlando. Kisimitea, Yes, it's Orlando. Yeah, yeah,
- 28:41yeah, kissing me. It's thirty seven minutes northwest of Orlando. So
- 28:48there's a lot going around in that area. I mean a lot going on.
- 28:53So yeah, definitely, you know, definitely share that stuff. No,
- 29:00absolutely. I shared it from our true Crime page and joined it with
- 29:07that and we'll do whatever we can and get the word out, and I
- 29:11think all of us should. One thing I've started doing is we try to
- 29:18share a lot of those things because I'm learning after my experience with Chase's family,
- 29:26having a loved one and I'm going to try not to cry. Having
- 29:29a loved one missing is worse than losing them to death or an accident,
- 29:36because you can't grieve, you can't sake it by it's not knowing and no
- 29:44family and there's got to be foul play, you know, if her stuff's
- 29:51there, I just can't help but jump to that. Yeah, And I
- 29:57think what you say, bring up, I mean kind of is a good
- 30:00transition too, into the last thing before we move into our cases, which
- 30:07not only not knowing but knowing that somebody knows something and I'm not saying anything
- 30:14that's what I did there. That just pisses me off. Yeah, But
- 30:25with all that being said, I'm going to try and save my voice or
- 30:30the case that I have. I will let you all know that we're doing
- 30:38Terry's case first, because if with my case anything is triggering, and everything
- 30:45is triggering with my case, I wanted you to be able to at least
- 30:48hear half the show. My case deals with child abuse of really young children.
- 30:56It is not It is one of the hardest things that I've ever had
- 31:00to cover. I have covered it previously on Brew Crime, but I wanted
- 31:03to bring it back because we had made some shifts to the genre of what
- 31:08we were covering tonight, and so it's tough. So we'll make sure that
- 31:14you know when we're switching over to the next thing. But you know,
- 31:18Terry's gonna hop hop into her case in a second here and so yeah,
- 31:23so just a warning about that in the future, and I'll do it again
- 31:27when it comes time. But for now, I'm going to shut up and
- 31:32let you do your thing, okay, And we'll definitely want to put up
- 31:37the ticker at the bottom. We'll we get to your case before I jump
- 31:41into my case. Wanted to do a real quick update on Chase Lackey.
- 31:47We did have the Bubble celebration for him the Saturday before Thanksgiving to honor his
- 31:56birthday, and it was better than I could have imagined. We had thirty
- 32:05five people give or take show up. It was amazing. The stories I've
- 32:12shared it on our page. I mean, just it was so great meeting
- 32:19people who knew him when he was younger. And the other crazy thing I
- 32:24met and saw people from my past from my childhood that know him because they
- 32:32lived by his sister. I mean, it's just shocking, and it just
- 32:37tells me that we were meant to jump into the craziness of his case.
- 32:45And I keep getting more and more signs that say that, I will say,
- 32:52stay tuned. We do have a news outlet that we are working with
- 32:57that we are trying to schedule a interview for the news, which chases parents.
- 33:02We're trying to get that done next week. So everybody sharing stuff is
- 33:07really starting to get information flowing in. I reached out to somebody else who
- 33:15offered to help do some research because the tips and names just keep pouring in.
- 33:22So same thing with this other case. Sharing it is going to help
- 33:30so much because you never know who knows something or saw something, and not
- 33:36just that, but sharing it and creating a more widespread understanding and knowledge of
- 33:42the case puts pressure on law enforcement. The appropriate type of pressure. Not
- 33:51well, there's no winning with what I said. Hey, if it will
- 33:57motivate them to get off their ass and do their I have no problem saying
- 34:01that because I can tell you in chase this case, Harris County Sheriff's Department
- 34:07has sucked lemons. And I used lemons instead of what I really wanted to
- 34:13say. But nope, that's even nicer than what I was gonna say.
- 34:19Oh, let's just say it. They suck alls. They just sus I'm
- 34:23gonna just say it and come at me, have a conversation with me,
- 34:27come at me, talk to me. But I will just say reading a
- 34:31little bit of the story. It looks like the police there didn't jump into
- 34:36action either. And I want to say, the thought that, oh,
- 34:40they're an adult, they have the right to go missing is bullshit. Just
- 34:46like with Chase, it is bullshit. An adult does not leave their cell
- 34:52phone, their keys, all of that crap behind to go take a walk
- 34:59an intention We leave unless there is a severe mental health issue going on and
- 35:07that plays into it. That's the only time. So I really have a
- 35:13problem with law enforcement who says, oh, they're an adult, they have
- 35:15a right to go missing. And I tell HH all the time. If
- 35:20I go missing and my phone is here, you know somebody took me.
- 35:27Now you may not want me back ahh. But you know I didn't do
- 35:30it intentionally, because that's just not something you do here. You know,
- 35:37we know who gets the primary amount of attention on missing cases. Yeah,
- 35:43because you're younger. You know, blonde hair, blue eyed girls. If
- 35:49and she is blonde and younger, and if this is how they treat her,
- 35:54I can't even imagine how the other people are not even discussed. So
- 36:00oh, I have another family that haven't even told you yet because they've reached
- 36:07out on Facebook and I've reached back and said, hey, let's have a
- 36:09conversation. You know, I was honest with them. I don't know if
- 36:13I can help. We do not have the bandwidth, you know. We
- 36:16are doing so much with Hase's case, real life, the podcast. But
- 36:21I told him I will have a conversation. Excuse me. The young man
- 36:25is another young man that went missing, and he wasn't a perfect victim.
- 36:32So and believe it or not, it is Harris County once again, of
- 36:37sucking balls. You know, whoever's balls they're sucking is a really lucky human
- 36:45being. Oh yeah, they're getting They're getting sucked all the time. Okay,
- 36:52I will get off. I will just get off, but I will
- 36:59say there is some updates come into the Chase case. Probably we'll do it
- 37:05in January, just because a lot of things. I have eight or nine
- 37:12interviews scheduled with different people connected to the case, So my thought is to
- 37:16do a lot of that during the holidays so that we can put it out
- 37:20in January. So yeah, now my case is not as dark as yours,
- 37:30which I find interesting because I'm usually the dark bee, You're not.
- 37:34I'm the dark you know, I'm normally the dark bee. Yeah that's pretty
- 37:38Yeah, that's pretty dark. But I'm going to let you read right through
- 37:43that without saying anything because the okay, well, the first thing I have
- 37:50to say before we get into my case is HH is loving the fact that
- 37:57I keep running into his office when I started to reach search in this case,
- 38:00and then as I keep going through and I run in there, I'm
- 38:02like, oh did you know this? Oh did you know this? How
- 38:06did I not know? They were brothers? And he just is looking at
- 38:07me, going, finally, you care? You care? I am a
- 38:16country girl. I'm a country girl. I grew up. What if you
- 38:23did? But if Carrie did what you did, and all of a sudden
- 38:27she was interested in my kind of music, a lot of it, or
- 38:30at least the stories behind it, I'd see the same thing he did.
- 38:36So and I get it. I get it. And so I mean I
- 38:40just grew up with a different genre. I mean I like def Leppard,
- 38:45I like things like that. But I was never one of those hard rock
- 38:49girls. Just wasn't. Okay, So we are talking about the murder of
- 38:58Dimebag Darryl, and I want to tell you I always wondered why it was
- 39:04called dimebag Daryl. Well, I found out and I did include it in
- 39:09this. So I hope you know y'all are as excited as I am,
- 39:16because I'm honestly very excited to cover this. So Dimebag Daryl's real name was
- 39:22Daryl Lane Abbot and he was born in August of nineteen sixty six in Ennis,
- 39:29Texas. That's right outside of Dallas for those who don't know. And
- 39:34what I found interesting was born to Carolyn and Jerry Abbot. His dad,
- 39:38Jerry Abbot, was a country music producer. And yet I know, so,
- 39:46yet your son totally went the other direction. Now, Daryl was the
- 39:53second son of the couple, both funds. Both sons followed in Jerry's footsteps
- 40:00with their love of music. Now, the thing that I really found interesting,
- 40:06Darryl's parents divorced when he was around thirteen years old, but they stayed
- 40:12a connected, happy family. They still co parented. I mean then that
- 40:16was before it was a thing. They lived near each other so that the
- 40:21kids could go back and forth between the houses. That's awesome. And I
- 40:25was like, okay, it happened before, you know, and so people
- 40:31could learn. But Daryl credited his dad with giving him his first guitar at
- 40:37the age of twelve. Now, guys, I did not know that guitars
- 40:40had names. He was given a Les Paul style Hondo. You didn't know
- 40:47that they had brand names, au Terry. I mean I knew they had
- 40:54names, like give me another guitar, Gibson, Like, I knew they
- 41:00had that. But I learned as we get into this, they even have
- 41:05like nicknames for the guitars and there's custom ones in. Yeah, different shapes
- 41:13do different Okay, Yeah, let's just say Terry's not the smartest or the
- 41:19brightest crayon in the box when it comes to music. It has nothing to
- 41:22do with being smarter or not. It is just not something that you've had
- 41:25to worry about. It is not something you've had to do encounter. I
- 41:29am the person who got guitars. I have guitars. That's something I've thought
- 41:32about. It's not smart or or not. So I guess it just wasn't
- 41:38my thing. But then I asked my husband. I'm like, yeah,
- 41:42and his dad also gave you an amplifier. What did you need an amplifier
- 41:45for? And he goes maybe to plug the guitar into I was like,
- 41:51your guitar doesn't plug into anything. He goes Terry. It's a different kind
- 41:54of he goes. My other guitar does plug it. I need to hear
- 42:04h play. I don't know if he plays well. Did teach you nothing
- 42:10about rock? I liked her, She didn't, you know, bang her
- 42:17head on stuff. I just never understood the concept of banging your head and
- 42:23getting a headache. Just never understood it. Like I said, though I
- 42:28do like some rock, I just wasn't into that kind of stuff. Now,
- 42:35h H is one that I can say a song, he can tell
- 42:39me which album it was on in the year it was released, and he
- 42:45can do it for country rock, some blues, some jazz. And I'm
- 42:51just like, why do you know this useless information? And you know what
- 42:54he says, well, why do you know how many victims Jeffrey Dautmar had?
- 43:00Oh do you know where he was born? How do you know about
- 43:01the Green River Killer? And I'm like, okay, point taken. If
- 43:07you know anything about Sam? The fact that she said I can't see Sam
- 43:10in a mosh pit. However, I also couldn't see my son crowdsurfing,
- 43:17and we saw how that went. So I've been in a mosh pit.
- 43:22Now, guys, I had a checkerboard shaved in my head at one point
- 43:27in my time because I liked punk rock. Yeah funk so but anyway,
- 43:37but Darryl said he was heavily influenced by Black Sabbath. Guys, don't laugh.
- 43:43I was like, isn't that a cat Ah? I had never heard
- 43:51of Black Sabbath, did learn that. I do know one of their songs.
- 43:54I forgot what the song is now, but I do Once I heard
- 44:00us, like, oh yeah, I know that, but I didn't know
- 44:02who the band was. But he was also Judas Priest. I know who
- 44:07that is. I know who Kiss, and I definitely know who van Halen
- 44:10is because Eddie van Halen's just hot. But which I can say. All
- 44:17of that is good except for Kiss. I do not like Kiss. I
- 44:23am not now and have I ever been a Kiss fan. There's not one
- 44:28single Kiss song that I like, So come at me. I'm sorry,
- 44:32she says to the guy who has all the record I'm sorry. Fine,
- 44:37It's not for everybody, and they are not the best musicians in the world.
- 44:42I prefer other people. But you know what my problem is with them?
- 44:46They hide behind that white funk makeup. I mean, guys, on
- 44:51my personal Facebook page if you want to go dig through my photos, there's
- 44:54actually a picture of me and my girlfriend with a kiss tribute man, full
- 44:59makeup and everything. And I was like, the picture was great, but
- 45:05why you got a hot? Did you ever? Did you ever see their
- 45:08eighties and nineties stuff though, because they didn't wear makeup at all. Oh,
- 45:15they went through a whole phase of being unmasked. Really Yeah, Okay,
- 45:25I am going to also say I am going to go do a deep
- 45:29dive into kiss now. I will say that I as we get later on
- 45:37that I did find that I do like some of the good things they've done.
- 45:44So they're not bad people. Yeah, I mean you know they And
- 45:47isn't Gene Simmons didn't they have a reality show? Isn't he the one who
- 45:53didn't marry the girl? But they finally got engaged on the Yeah, he
- 46:00had Simmons family jewels and he saw that in a relationship and Tweed forever and
- 46:07Tweed see I like that. See you kiss me and me and kiss for
- 46:15better or worse is the same as dub h with everything else. But I
- 46:22come by it honestly, I guess you know. My dad was, so
- 46:28I grew up my parents listened to Crystal Gale, Patsy Klin, Elvis and
- 46:35Alice Cooper. I know who he is. He's one of like in his
- 46:45music. There are a couple of his songs I like. So I'm not
- 46:51totally against you. I like him because he knows who he is. Well,
- 46:57Okay, keep going. Sorry, The funny thing is, let me
- 47:01tell you how I even learned who Dimebag Daryl was before we go farther.
- 47:07When Doublehn I got engaged twenty one, twenty two years ago, whenever it
- 47:14was his bachelor party was at the Strip club that was owned by Darryl and
- 47:22his brother Vinnie, and I was like, why is he own a club?
- 47:30Isn't he any a band or something? So that's how I even knew
- 47:35who Dimebag Daryl was. So I did not know he was part of Pantera,
- 47:38and that leads me right into a nineteen eighty one Pantera was formed by
- 47:43Terry Glaze, Tommy Bradford, and Donnie Hart and they asked Vinnie Paul to
- 47:49join, and he agreed only if they would also bring on Darryl, who
- 47:53was just fifteen at the time. Now, guys, this is how uneducated
- 48:00I am. I didn't know Vinnie Paul was Darryl's brother. I ran into
- 48:04ahh, I'm like, did you know Timebag Daryl's brother's Vinny Paul. And
- 48:07he's like, yes, so I knew who Vinnie Paul was. And whoever
- 48:21just said queen Queen is just amazing. So uh but I think it was
- 48:27cool that he was fifteen. They agreed, and what I thought was funny.
- 48:30They thought he wasn't a very good guitar player and that he was kind
- 48:34of scrawny, and I was like, boy, did he showed them wrong?
- 48:39So he surprised his fellow bandmates by growing his guitar abilities. They set
- 48:45by leaps and bounds in a short amount of time. So once he got
- 48:50accepted into the band, he just took off. Now he took on the
- 48:54stage name as Okay, this mescato is doing to me what beer does.
- 49:00It's making me like, oh, Gussie, But that's okay. But he
- 49:06went by Diamond Daryl in reference to a kiss song black Diamond, Black Diamonds.
- 49:14So he went by Diamond Daryl in the beginning. So why are you
- 49:22laughing at me. Okay, Okay, So Pantera was your typicals eighties metal
- 49:31band or hair band, and they were a little bit of makeup, not
- 49:37much, and they had really big, fabulous hair. I mean, I
- 49:42will say they put that aqua net to the test. Okay. Uh.
- 49:49They signed with Metal Magic Records in eighty three and released their first album,
- 49:53Metal Magic the same year. Now, the other thing I found amazing that
- 49:59I love their dad, Jerry was also the band's manager, which I thought
- 50:05was great because he was a country genre guy. I bet it hurt his
- 50:08ears, but he loved his sons. But who knows, maybe he loved
- 50:12metal. But I love the fact he did that because Daryl was still a
- 50:16teenager. And I'm just gonna say, as we're gonna find out, the
- 50:22rock world is like any other entertainment business. You need to protect those kids
- 50:28because it's a It's a dirty, naughty business, it really is. Pantera
- 50:35went on to release two additional albums, Projects in the Jungle and I Am
- 50:38the Knight, in eighty four and eighty five. Now I can say I
- 50:44did know about Projects in the Jungle. I just didn't know. I knew
- 50:47Vinny Paul. I just didn't know who this Daryl guy was, and yet
- 50:52he was the main guitar guy. But that's okay. But yeah, can
- 50:58I quickly just connect with Sam on this. My dad was very much Alice
- 51:05Cooper kiss metallic like that was my dad. Mom, James Taylor all the
- 51:13way, like to the end of time. Like that's why, like ying,
- 51:15And it just worked out that I'm nicknamed JT because of James Taylor.
- 51:22It just so happens that my initials are JT as well. But it worked
- 51:27that way. So it's funny how that that's it. And it's it's the
- 51:31same for you know, brew Grime, missus brew Grime and I you know,
- 51:36she's Jason Morez and I'll listen to you know, flogging Molly So and
- 51:42I think that's what's good about hh night. I mean we're you know,
- 51:45we're I just saw this thirty five cents. You're still only thirty five cents.
- 51:52I'm still only thirty five cents. Dang dude. With inflation, you
- 51:55gotta at least go up to thirty seven cents. Now, I'm a millennial.
- 52:00We don't get paid that much, so nothing matches. It doesn't work
- 52:05that way. So you know, we get the short shaft, which sucks
- 52:08in all kinds of ways. So now, during this time, and I'll
- 52:15tell you this is where I also got some more education. Darryl and Vinnie
- 52:19started getting into bands such as Metallica and Slayer. I know who both of
- 52:22those are. I did not realize. So they wanted to take Pantera Pantera
- 52:30more into a heavy metal sound. I thought all of it was a heavy
- 52:34metal. I didn't realize there was little subgenres like glam metal and thrashold metal.
- 52:43I was like, isn't it all just heavy metal? Can't we just
- 52:45make it easy for people like me? Can't we because country you got country,
- 52:51you don't have subcountry. But anyway, but Terry Glaze did not want
- 52:58to do that, which to the typical contract disputes and led to him leaving
- 53:04Pantera in eighty six. Now the band hired Phil and Solmo I think it's
- 53:10how you say it? Is that right in Somo Okay later to replace him.
- 53:17Also at the same time, the band changed record companies and signed with
- 53:22Gold Mountain Records, and Pantera had to release one final record under Metal Magic
- 53:29and it was called Power Metal. Now. I found this interesting. They
- 53:35said power Metal was kind of the first album that garnered Darryl all of these
- 53:42rave positive reviews about his riffs. Yes, I know what a riff is
- 53:45people, and that due to his abilities with these riffs, they didn't need
- 53:52people to sing over his riffs, that you could just add the riffs and
- 53:58let them rip. See how did that rip proof? Anyway? Done so?
- 54:05But they also said that it showcase the bands move away from glam metal.
- 54:09Now I still don't get the glam metal. Oh did you want me
- 54:15to show this picture of their hair? Because this is I totally forgot metal.
- 54:25What would Kiss be called? Would Kiss be heavy metal or glam metal?
- 54:29Because they were a lot of makeup? No, they're not heavy.
- 54:31They're not a heavy metal at all. Then what are they? Well?
- 54:35They some people might say they are. I think they are. Mmm,
- 54:43I don't know. I don't know. Does everybody's at that hair? Isn't
- 54:47that amazing? I love the hair, and I mean I think Phinney's kind
- 54:54of hot. But like I said, the Finny Paul was, I guess
- 54:59and TV called them a metal well band, I guess their metal. I
- 55:05see them more their rifts and their sound is more rock to me. So,
- 55:09yeah, I didn't watch MTV. I wasn't allowed to. Yeah,
- 55:17I mean MTV was boring when I was watching it, so it was crap.
- 55:22Well it wasn't real. Everybody was watching it when I was growing up,
- 55:27and I wasn't really allowed to. But that's okay. But they moved
- 55:31away from the glam metal. I couldn't find what metal they moved to.
- 55:37If they moved from glam metal, what did they move to? It just
- 55:42said metal. Everything I found just said they moved closer. They're too heavy
- 55:47metal. They're considered so their earliest was glam and they're considered to have moved
- 55:54into groove and thrashing heavy metal. How can you be all three? Why
- 56:04can't you just be one? Because it depends on the song in the in
- 56:10the album A friend of Mine my green metal, huh. I I have
- 56:22a friend of mine and she's in a doom metal band, which everything is
- 56:25really slow and intentional and you know whatever. But some of their stuff also
- 56:31sounds kind of rocky too, so it's you know, it's it just like
- 56:37for instance, for instance, Brad Paisley, right, he's got a certain
- 56:45kind of metal but or not metal but country but there hes got no metal,
- 56:52but well he he can play rock. I've seen him do it.
- 56:55But there are some songs of his that hit different sub genres, right they
- 57:00do. That's true, So okay, that makes sense, makes sense kind
- 57:07of when Kith Whitley would do some bluesy grass kind of stuff. Yeah.
- 57:14If I had to pick two genres, well, if I had to pick
- 57:17one genre of panteras in its metal. If I had to pick two,
- 57:22like a subgenre, I would put pick thrash slash heavy more so than roof
- 57:29And that just kind of yeah, yeah, okay, I'm talking way too
- 57:31much. I need to save my voice for the Yeah, save save your
- 57:38voice. But that so they it really showcased that he was riffs and I
- 57:45have to say he can. I went and listened to some stuff and I
- 57:47was like, he's pretty damn good guitar player. And it didn't hurt my
- 57:52head like it did when I was younger, So maybe old age is getting
- 57:57better for me. But they moved on to a major record label with at
- 58:01Corecords after the label's talent scout saw Pantera perform live and they were thoroughly impressed,
- 58:10and they were like, they are more than just a band. They're
- 58:14entertainers, and I think that's significant because I think there's a lot of bands
- 58:22out there that you don't want to go see because they're just not great performers.
- 58:28Now, they released Cowboys from Hell in nineteen ninety, which everything I
- 58:32read said gave Pantera their own unique sound. Okay, and it said that
- 58:39the blueprint. It was said to be the blueprint for groove metal, which
- 58:45became another subgenre of heavy and thresh metal, but at a slower tempo.
- 58:52It's still, guys, it's still just savvy metal. But anyway, we're
- 58:55gonna keep going. So it went gold in nineteen eight and platinum in ninety
- 59:00seven. The band played almost two hundred live shows for Cowboys from How during
- 59:07the two years they toured. That's a lot of damn shows, guys.
- 59:12That's a lot of shows. Yeah. Yeah. So Darryl gained that typical
- 59:20rocker reputation because he became a heavy drinking, partying guy while on tour.
- 59:30And I'm gonna tell it later on, but i'll tell now. He his
- 59:34longtime love. They met when they were eight or nine years old. There
- 59:42he is. But I just thought that was cool. So even though he
- 59:45went through all of that wild stuff. You know, he's still stuck with
- 59:50her. They released their next album, Vulgar Display of Power, and I'll
- 59:55be honest, that's the one that I had heard of and I knew a
- 1:00:00little bit more about only because after Mary an h h h kind of thing.
- 1:00:07And some people say that were some of the best riffs that he ever
- 1:00:13did, and that he wrote and did a lot of the song structures,
- 1:00:15which I think shows that he was more than just a guitar player and you
- 1:00:22know, good as an entertainer, but he also was behind the music.
- 1:00:25And I think that's one thing I love about Taylor Swift. She does it
- 1:00:30all. You know, she writes it, she performs it, she doesn't.
- 1:00:34I mean, she's the full kitten kaboodle, and I think he was
- 1:00:37too. So now, when Vulgar Display of Power hit the charts, it
- 1:00:43was at number forty four and they stayed on the Billboard two hundred for seventy
- 1:00:47nine weeks. I thought that was impressive for somebody who's from Texas and didn't
- 1:00:57realize Vinnie and Daryl were related. But that's okay, and Display of Power.
- 1:01:01Vulgar Display of Power was ranked number ten on Rolling Stones list of the
- 1:01:06one hundred greatest albums of All Time. So now, with the release of
- 1:01:15Vulgar Display of Power, Darrell also released a new look and decided that Diamond
- 1:01:20Darrel no longer suited his image, which led him to adopting Dimebag Daryl as
- 1:01:27his stage name mostly dimebag now. The name came from one of his fellow
- 1:01:32bandmates, who said that Daryl refused to accept more than a dimebag of weed
- 1:01:37at one time, even if it was offered to him for free, because
- 1:01:40he was scared to be caught with more than a dining bag. Smart man.
- 1:01:52Sorry, guy, they are from Texas. I don't really like.
- 1:01:57I like, so you're gonna call yourself a dimeback and let the world know
- 1:02:00that you buy dimebacks because a dinbag back then could send you to prison for
- 1:02:09life, you know. But now I found this interesting because I did not
- 1:02:16know this. In eighty nine, Darrel was invited to join Mega Death,
- 1:02:22but he turned down the offer because he said he would only go if then
- 1:02:25he came. And I have to tell y'all, I like that bros having
- 1:02:31each other's back. So he turned down joining Mega Death, which it just
- 1:02:37makes you wonder what would have his life been, you know, that would
- 1:02:40have changed the whole trajectory you know of his career right now. Pantera went
- 1:02:46on to release other albums, but after conflicts with Enselmo, things got really
- 1:02:52rocky, and then Brown wanted to leave the band, so Pantera ended with
- 1:02:59the release of their greatest hits album, The Best of Pantera. In September
- 1:03:02two thousand and three. Daryl and Vinnie decided to form a new band and
- 1:03:09they added new members Patrick Lachman of Halford, Bob cock co I don't know
- 1:03:19how to say his name, sorry Bob. And they formed Damage Plan and
- 1:03:23guys, I have to tell you Dinbag and Damage Plan. He liked the
- 1:03:28d's and I think it was because he was from Dallas. That's all I'm
- 1:03:30saying on that. But they did sign a contract with Electure yep. They
- 1:03:37signed a contract with Elektra Records in two thousand and three. They released their
- 1:03:43first album, Newfound Power in two thousand and four and Damage Plan. It
- 1:03:50didn't gain the popularity and as much as they did as Pantera, so they
- 1:03:55decided to go on the Devastation Tour across the nation because they felt they needed
- 1:04:01to rebuild their fan base because nobody knew who the heck they were. Okay now
