- 0:00Speaker 1: It's another chilli. Start the Big Show with Froggie, John
- 0:02Speaker 1: and Megan.
- 0:03Speaker 2: One day after John's birthday, John, let me ask you first, well.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Number one, Good morning Megan, Good morning, Good morning John,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Good morning Frog.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Welcome to your weekend. John, how was your birthday?
- 0:12Speaker 1: It was wonderful. It started off incredible here festive. We
- 0:17Speaker 1: had the pinata and if you want to watch that
- 0:20Speaker 1: pinata explode into pieces, you got to go to It's
- 0:23Speaker 1: on Instagram.
- 0:24Speaker 3: I mean, what would you facebook? What would you bash
- 0:26Speaker 3: a pinata with whatever you have?
- 0:29Speaker 2: Yeah? John did pulled a guitar off a wall.
- 0:31Speaker 4: He sure did, and he I'd never I never thought
- 0:35Speaker 4: about that. But you did damage on that pinata with
- 0:38Speaker 4: the guitar, Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 1: It did. It was fun.
- 0:40Speaker 5: Well.
- 0:40Speaker 2: The first time you swung, you knocked another roof tile out.
- 0:42Speaker 2: I knocked a tile.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Out and I thought, okay if because I started swinging
- 0:46Speaker 1: like a baseball and I got a good follow through,
- 0:48Speaker 1: and I'm thinking I could take out two TVs here
- 0:50Speaker 1: with one swing. I gotta stop and I got to
- 0:53Speaker 1: kind of tap on it. I want to hit it
- 0:55Speaker 1: hard enough in order to pop that pinata. Yeah, and
- 0:57Speaker 1: it did. All the wonderful Goodies of Little Debbie Dum
- 1:00Speaker 1: came out and it was wonderful. I'm pretty sure I
- 1:02Speaker 1: have a workman's comp claim. I got hit in the
- 1:04Speaker 1: head by a honey bunch.
- 1:05Speaker 3: You did, and we have it on film.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I gotta claim my face.
- 1:09Speaker 4: And you guys got zapped too when you brought John
- 1:11Speaker 4: his birthday cake.
- 1:12Speaker 3: That was hilarious.
- 1:13Speaker 1: I couldn't believe that got caught on film. So John,
- 1:16Speaker 1: you're convinced I did zapp because I dragged my feet. Yes,
- 1:19Speaker 1: that's the only reason. I think. You shuffle your feet
- 1:21Speaker 1: a little bit more than you walk. So if I
- 1:22Speaker 1: walked like high stepped, yeah, I would.
- 1:25Speaker 2: Not get it. But I just got pop just in
- 1:26Speaker 2: and I'm doing that.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Okay. You maybe you're just a kinetic energy ball.
- 1:30Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I just got you're superhuman.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I don't know by that.
- 1:33Speaker 1: That's what it is. That's not it. But the rest
- 1:36Speaker 1: of the day was great. How was yours, Mick?
- 1:37Speaker 3: It was good.
- 1:38Speaker 4: I went on a walk with one of my my
- 1:41Speaker 4: new bumblebff girlfriends and.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Like, the woods are like a normal well lit hey.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Hey, let's go off this beaten path.
- 1:49Speaker 3: A well lit area.
- 1:50Speaker 4: I'm not exactly sure where we were. In fact, after
- 1:55Speaker 4: we had gone on what she said was the exact
- 1:58Speaker 4: same path we had done before. Right we got to
- 2:01Speaker 4: the cars and she said, oh, did you want to
- 2:03Speaker 4: keep going? Because I just kept walking and I was like,
- 2:07Speaker 4: I mean, I don't care.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Do you want to go back?
- 2:09Speaker 4: And she was like, well, we're at the car and
- 2:12Speaker 4: I was like, oh, okay, I didn't know.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Where we were.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Megan, John and I are going to get you over
- 2:17Speaker 2: two things. Your lack of sense of direction, oh I hope,
- 2:20Speaker 2: and your fear of mascots.
- 2:22Speaker 6: That one good luck with. We're going to do it,
- 2:24Speaker 6: but I would love to be able to know where
- 2:26Speaker 6: I am. Nice, We would love to tell where you
- 2:29Speaker 6: are too. With these new friends you make like three sixty,
- 2:32Speaker 6: we're gonna We're gonna have to do. How was the
- 2:34Speaker 6: rest of your day, Frog?
- 2:35Speaker 2: It was good. I had a hat a dog's appointment
- 2:37Speaker 2: yesterday now up in Yulie. So I went up to
- 2:40Speaker 2: the UF facility up at Wildlighte and Yulie.
- 2:42Speaker 1: And if he hadn't been up there in a couple
- 2:44Speaker 1: of years, I man, the whole that whole world's exploded
- 2:46Speaker 1: up there.
- 2:46Speaker 2: And this hospital facility is incredible.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Wow.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It was everything was like brand spanking new that even
- 2:52Speaker 2: the CT machine I went in looked brand spanking new.
- 2:55Speaker 2: I looked like I was the first person. I wasn't,
- 2:56Speaker 2: but it looked like I was the first person to
- 2:58Speaker 2: use it.
- 2:58Speaker 4: Is a CT machine where you down and they put
- 3:00Speaker 4: you in the tube and has to be like.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Still yeah, yeah, yeah, I tell you what was weird?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Thought a little freaked out. So UF Health is obviously
- 3:07Speaker 2: the University of Florida Health. When I walked into the
- 3:10Speaker 2: radiology department, I walked into hammy to put my stuff down.
- 3:13Speaker 7: There's a Florida State seminole backpack there. Oh, I'm like,
- 3:17Speaker 7: there's contraband in this place. Has anybody reported that. Let's
- 3:26Speaker 7: get into megga three things as we get you through
- 3:29Speaker 7: your Friday. Just understand there's the weather coming that. It's
- 3:34Speaker 7: not me No, I understand, I'm a weather wisosy, I
- 3:37Speaker 7: get it. It's not chicken little here telling you this guy's falling.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Sunday morning is going to be a morning for the ages.
- 3:42Speaker 1: It is epic.
- 3:43Speaker 2: It is going to be in the teens with feels
- 3:45Speaker 2: like in these single digits.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Wha, It's going to fall like a rock during the
- 3:49Speaker 1: day on Saturday tomorrow and then on Sunday morning it's
- 3:51Speaker 1: going to be cold.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Monday mornings pretty cold as well too, yep, so as
- 3:54Speaker 2: be prepared.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Well and in that cold spurt that we're having this weekend,
- 3:59Speaker 4: the Donna Marathon one weekend is happening, so racers are
- 4:03Speaker 4: going to be lining up and getting ready to run
- 4:06Speaker 4: on the Jack's Beach area to raise funds for research
- 4:08Speaker 4: and awareness for breast cancer.
- 4:10Speaker 3: So if you're running or you're there to support.
- 4:12Speaker 4: Someone, dress warm and take care of yourself because it
- 4:16Speaker 4: is going to be so cold.
- 4:18Speaker 1: And John has this clip that is I'm telling you
- 4:21Speaker 1: right now, this is the best advice you could ever
- 4:24Speaker 1: have for Sunday morning. This is your weekend advice.
- 4:28Speaker 8: Don't make unnecessary Chinese, don't take risks I treacherous, and
- 4:34Speaker 8: don't swim in the sea. Don't swim in the sea,
- 4:37Speaker 8: don't buy a watch from a man on Bay Street.
- 4:41Speaker 4: And don't answer your phone if JEA is calling you,
- 4:45Speaker 4: because there's this new scam happening in the area. Scammers
- 4:48Speaker 4: have spoofed the Jea's phone number. They're calling people and
- 4:51Speaker 4: saying hey, like there was an issue with your payment
- 4:54Speaker 4: and it says Jaea and it has the phone number
- 4:56Speaker 4: that shows up on your phone.
- 4:57Speaker 2: Don't do it.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Don't do it.
- 4:59Speaker 4: If you get it, call like this and you actually
- 5:01Speaker 4: are wondering if you forgot to pay like sometimes I do,
- 5:04Speaker 4: then just hang up and call back right or just
- 5:09Speaker 4: tell them just use the credit card I have on
- 5:11Speaker 4: file right there. You keep yourself safe. Hines is doing
- 5:13Speaker 4: the most for the Super Bowl this year. If you
- 5:16Speaker 4: are a ketchup lover, you will love this. They have
- 5:19Speaker 4: a one hundred and fourteen ounce keg of ketchup.
- 5:22Speaker 3: They're calling it a keg chup. That's a hard one up.
- 5:26Speaker 1: Hines has fun with their ketchet I really do.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Yeah. I just want to know, like what does the
- 5:30Speaker 3: pump look like in it?
- 5:31Speaker 4: I want it to be like one of those hoses, Like, hey,
- 5:33Speaker 4: you have to stick it in a keg.
- 5:34Speaker 3: But yeah, that's three things you need to know.
- 5:36Speaker 2: If you're up this early, call us nine oh four
- 5:38Speaker 2: three eight, eight thirty six ninety nine be our first
- 5:41Speaker 2: caller of the day in.
- 5:41Speaker 1: The concert film at Imax with Eric Church Country ninety
- 5:45Speaker 1: nine one WQYK The Big Show with Froggie John and
- 5:48Speaker 1: Meghan and Terry's with us? Terry, why you up?
- 5:50Speaker 2: I am on my way to work.
- 5:52Speaker 9: I work for wind Dixie.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Wonderful. What do you do with wynd Dixie.
- 5:55Speaker 5: I'm a bakery manager there thirty nine years.
- 5:58Speaker 1: Wow.
- 5:59Speaker 4: So you get to decorate the cakes, the birthday cakes
- 6:01Speaker 4: and stuff.
- 6:02Speaker 5: Yes, ma'am, every day.
- 6:04Speaker 3: That's so cool. I love watching those videos online.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Yeah, so you put smiles on people's faces for a living,
- 6:10Speaker 1: don't you.
- 6:10Speaker 2: I do?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Yes, Yes, I do.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Thanks for being our first super froggy. John and Meghan
- 6:15Speaker 1: so good to be with you. Just we've got to
- 6:17Speaker 1: set some ground rules for Megan. What's that?
- 6:20Speaker 5: So?
- 6:20Speaker 1: Meghan likes to keep track of things that John and
- 6:22Speaker 1: I talk about, and I just think off the air,
- 6:25Speaker 1: we do tend to converse about different things, and it's okay.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I think it's great. Actually, I think it's funny.
- 6:30Speaker 1: Actually, I'm perfectly on board with it because I actually
- 6:33Speaker 1: would like to know, because I know John and I
- 6:35Speaker 1: do tend to go off on a tangent.
- 6:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but we're not talking about like just a multitude
- 6:39Speaker 4: of random topics. We're talking about one topic specifically.
- 6:42Speaker 2: No, that's not true. It all fits under one umbrella.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But it could be multiple things the umbrella of sports, right,
- 6:48Speaker 1: it could be it could be football.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Oh, you guys have a very wide range.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but I'll say that. John Len will also go
- 6:54Speaker 2: off on a tangent about old music.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yes, like this morning, John had me watching Gino Vanelli
- 7:00Speaker 1: Ellie's songs on.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Soul Train from the seventies.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Okay, So, but that one I can get down with.
- 7:06Speaker 2: So here's what I would like to do. I would
- 7:08Speaker 2: like for you to keep track of how many times
- 7:10Speaker 2: we talk about sports. But I just think there needs
- 7:12Speaker 2: to be some rules set forth.
- 7:13Speaker 5: I agree on.
- 7:15Speaker 3: I agree with that.
- 7:16Speaker 2: Okay, how long do we so? Like, let's say that
- 7:19Speaker 2: I see something on television and I mention it. If
- 7:22Speaker 2: there's a pause, like we get a phone call or
- 7:24Speaker 2: something and we picked back up, that's the same conversation
- 7:26Speaker 2: that shouldn't be two conversations.
- 7:28Speaker 3: It's the same conversation that I have to sit through
- 7:30Speaker 3: now twice yees.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Yes, And okay, if you guys are having a conversation,
- 7:36Speaker 4: this is how it usually goes Froggy. You'll say, hey,
- 7:39Speaker 4: did you see this guy got is now being considered
- 7:43Speaker 4: for this this team?
- 7:44Speaker 3: And then John will say.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I did and then do you remember when
- 7:49Speaker 4: he did that?
- 7:49Speaker 3: And then you say yeah, and.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Do you remember back in the early two thousands we
- 7:55Speaker 4: needed this? And John's like, yeah, in the seventies this happened.
- 7:58Speaker 4: And then you go, oh, man, and what about this?
- 8:01Speaker 4: Did you watch this golf game? And then John's like,
- 8:04Speaker 4: oh no, I didn't see that. I was watching basketball
- 8:06Speaker 4: last night. So when this happens, that does not count
- 8:10Speaker 4: as one conversation.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Okay, it's also perfectly true.
- 8:12Speaker 2: It's not exaggerating at all.
- 8:14Speaker 4: So I am going to keep the score in the
- 8:19Speaker 4: way that it feels as the person who listens to
- 8:23Speaker 4: it on the outside.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Okay, So how night conversations would that be that you
- 8:25Speaker 2: just had her?
- 8:26Speaker 3: Probably like twelve?
- 8:27Speaker 1: Fair enough, fair enough.
- 8:29Speaker 4: I'm trying to and I have to try to focus
- 8:31Speaker 4: because I've started sooning out.
- 8:32Speaker 3: I just let y'all do your thing, because I don't
- 8:34Speaker 3: remember who.
- 8:36Speaker 4: Won this national championship in nineteen sixty seven, John does John?
- 8:40Speaker 3: Does you do if any of your teams you're a
- 8:43Speaker 3: fan of?
- 8:45Speaker 2: I know, yeah, but John knows you're gona have to
- 8:47Speaker 2: be a fan of the team.
- 8:48Speaker 1: He knows walking Wikipedia.
- 8:51Speaker 4: The two of you together, Yes, you could have your
- 8:54Speaker 4: own sports show, and people that think like you and
- 8:57Speaker 4: love the game in a full sense, they would absolutely
- 9:02Speaker 4: love it.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Okay, I got another question. When the Olympics start next week,
- 9:06Speaker 2: if we talk about the Olympics from the day before,
- 9:09Speaker 2: is that sports talk that's really not that's what's going on.
- 9:11Speaker 1: That's a cultural that's a cultural thing.
- 9:14Speaker 4: It only counts if it's something that is more like
- 9:19Speaker 4: if you guys are going to talk about this all morning, Yeah,
- 9:22Speaker 4: the conversation, I promise you will not just stay on
- 9:25Speaker 4: current relevant things. We're gonna be talking about past swimmers.
- 9:28Speaker 4: John will tell us who is from Jacksonville in what
- 9:32Speaker 4: pools they trained at, and what other famous sports people
- 9:37Speaker 4: have been seen at those places. And then Froggy, you'll
- 9:39Speaker 4: then talk about University of Florida, right, and you'll talk.
- 9:43Speaker 1: About swim program some of them come from Jacksonville, right,
- 9:47Speaker 1: same people.
- 9:47Speaker 3: So you're gonna have to trust me in my scorekeeping.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Okay, all honest I kind of feel bad for Meghan, right, honestly, Yes,
- 9:55Speaker 1: that's a little bit.
- 9:56Speaker 3: So it's okay. I'm used to it.
- 9:57Speaker 4: I grew up with my dad raised me, so I'm
- 10:00Speaker 4: used to it. That's why I zone Okay, I zone
- 10:02Speaker 4: out and itally all right, let's get.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Into Mega's music city minute. And while she does, I'm
- 10:07Speaker 1: gonna find some more sports things to talk to John about.
- 10:09Speaker 3: Well, I'll get my note back ready.
- 10:12Speaker 4: Riley Green, Oh, true's corky dogs, Carl and Carol Ann.
- 10:17Speaker 3: I didn't realize he had a girl dog too.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I love the name Carl for a dog. Yeah, I
- 10:22Speaker 1: do you too, great name.
- 10:23Speaker 4: One time at a show, I saw this random dog
- 10:25Speaker 4: running escaping out of a fence, so I chased after him.
- 10:27Speaker 3: I grabbed him.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Then this team of men came to me and was like,
- 10:31Speaker 4: give us a dog, and I was like, okay, I
- 10:33Speaker 4: didn't realize.
- 10:34Speaker 3: It was Carlo. But Carl and Carol Anne they had puppies.
- 10:37Speaker 4: So there's these little quirky puppies and Riley Green holding puppies.
- 10:41Speaker 4: Something about that combination just is perfect action. This year,
- 10:45Speaker 4: Taylor Swift is eligible for nomination into the Country Music
- 10:48Speaker 4: Hall of Fame because ten years ago she released her
- 10:51Speaker 4: debut album, which was a country album.
- 10:54Speaker 3: Did the two of you think?
- 10:55Speaker 1: Did years ago?
- 10:57Speaker 3: Ten years ago?
- 10:57Speaker 4: Two thousand and six, twenty years ago, twenty years oh yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 4: oh my gosh, twenty.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Years my how time flies?
- 11:06Speaker 9: Wow?
- 11:06Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 11:07Speaker 3: Yeah, Oh I suddenly feel super old.
- 11:09Speaker 1: No, what else happened in two thousand and six?
- 11:16Speaker 3: Are you kidding me?
- 11:17Speaker 5: Right now?
- 11:18Speaker 1: It's true? They did, they did, and then seven they
- 11:21Speaker 1: won the basketball time and eight they won the basketball
- 11:24Speaker 1: and the football title.
- 11:25Speaker 2: Last team to hold that first team to ever hold.
- 11:27Speaker 4: That guitar you hit the pinatta with. You can go
- 11:29Speaker 4: ahead and give give it.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Just hit me. Take me out right now, take me out?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Okay.
- 11:35Speaker 4: Well this, if Taylor Swift does win get into the
- 11:39Speaker 4: Country Music Hall of Fame, she will be the first
- 11:41Speaker 4: ever artist to get in during their first year of eligibility.
- 11:45Speaker 3: Oh wow, so that'd be pretty cool. Okay, this is
- 11:47Speaker 3: the big news.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Morganwall and Eric Church, Tim McGraw and Hardy the new
- 11:51Speaker 4: song MacArthur.
- 11:52Speaker 3: It has been released.
- 11:54Speaker 4: It is out there in the world, and we're going
- 11:56Speaker 4: to play you a little clip of it this morning.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Right, Yeah, we can do that in a little bit
- 12:00Speaker 1: if you don't play a little bit, yeah, because it
- 12:02Speaker 1: is good, awesome, yeah, good, it's good song.
- 12:04Speaker 4: It is it makes you feel something. Well, that's what's
- 12:06Speaker 4: going on in Nashville. Meghan's music city a minute, All right, John.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I got some sports to talk about, but before we
- 12:10Speaker 1: do that, we will check here in Jacksonville, Froggy, John
- 12:12Speaker 1: and Meghan for your Friday. Of course, the weekend's always
- 12:15Speaker 1: in view, especially on a Friday morning. Lots to do
- 12:17Speaker 1: this weekend, and thankfully most of it indoors.
- 12:20Speaker 2: That was my next question. Does it involve walls, a roof,
- 12:23Speaker 2: and heater?
- 12:23Speaker 1: Indeed? Tattoo festivals happening this weekend?
- 12:26Speaker 4: Megan, I know, I saw those signs that looks awesome.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Now do you want Mari? You good with writ were yet?
- 12:32Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 12:32Speaker 3: I want to finish my sleeve.
- 12:34Speaker 4: But I the one that I get all these compliments
- 12:36Speaker 4: on is a girl in Nashville. So I've honestly considered
- 12:40Speaker 4: going there because I have no idea who to see
- 12:42Speaker 4: in Jack's I.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Don't either, all right, yeah, j John, are you gonna
- 12:46Speaker 1: take nominations? I mean you want people to call you in?
- 12:48Speaker 3: Absolutely?
- 12:49Speaker 1: All right? Nine oh four, three, eight, eight thirty six
- 12:51Speaker 1: ninety nine best tests and Jacks John, show me all
- 12:53Speaker 1: your TETs here. You see him? You want to see
- 12:55Speaker 1: him again?
- 12:56Speaker 2: Me too?
- 12:56Speaker 1: Okay, between the two of us, Megan, she's got plenty.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I think you should get a neck tattoo.
- 13:03Speaker 2: What what I get? A bucking your logo? Tom Brady?
- 13:06Speaker 2: A game?
- 13:06Speaker 3: I'm madding it to the list.
- 13:07Speaker 2: No, No, that wasn't no bread. That doesn't count. I
- 13:10Speaker 2: was asking him question.
- 13:11Speaker 4: Three, the Bucks, the Gators and Tom Brady because I
- 13:14Speaker 4: know this is going to be a completely long different
- 13:16Speaker 4: conversation after we're done.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I'm just honest you, that doesn't count. That doesn't count.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Okay, does this count if I'm talking that the Icemen
- 13:24Speaker 1: are playing hockey?
- 13:25Speaker 3: Okay, that's fine.
- 13:26Speaker 4: Pass because Tom Brady in this room. The conversation is
- 13:30Speaker 4: I try to steer away from.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Tom in this room.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Meghan is faced. She favoritism towards you, use his favoritism
- 13:37Speaker 2: towards John. Just saying, go.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Ahead, John, you can talk about whatever you want. I
- 13:40Speaker 1: guess I can. The Iceman are going to be hosting
- 13:43Speaker 1: South Carolina tomorrow and then they play again on Sunday
- 13:47Speaker 1: against Savannah. Uh, there's soccer as well. I'm splitting sports,
- 13:52Speaker 1: even sporting. Now, this is outdoors sporting. Jackson is playing.
- 13:58Speaker 1: What time is this game? I don't know what day
- 14:00Speaker 1: it is. I just know it's going to be too
- 14:03Speaker 1: dang cold. Are from Jacksonville? None okay, And there's a
- 14:09Speaker 1: country a young country singer named Baker Blankenship playing at
- 14:12Speaker 1: the Ponnaveater Concert Hall Saturday night, eight pm. Indoors.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Okay, indoors is good.
- 14:17Speaker 1: So that's indoors. But really, if you're going to be
- 14:20Speaker 1: doing anything this weekend, Jon's.
- 14:22Speaker 8: Make unnecessary Joineys, don't take risks and treacherous roads.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Under the.
- 14:31Speaker 1: Good News on a Friday with Country ninety nine one
- 14:33Speaker 1: WQYK The Big Show with Frankie John and Meghan And
- 14:37Speaker 1: this is an honorary Flora Hero. We go up to Ohio.
- 14:41Speaker 1: I mean all the people, all the first responders first,
- 14:43Speaker 1: all these snowstorms and people without power and everything.
- 14:46Speaker 2: Tennessee's been terribly hit by these ice storms.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Yeah, in National Guard units all over the place out
- 14:51Speaker 4: helping so bad.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Shout out to all of you, and specifically this guy.
- 14:56Speaker 1: He is a snowplow driver and he was about twenty
- 14:59Speaker 1: minutes into his shift when he got a call that
- 15:01Speaker 1: there was a sick baby baby that needed to go
- 15:03Speaker 1: to the hospital. Unfortunately, the driving conditions were not going
- 15:07Speaker 1: to make the ambulance be able to make it right,
- 15:09Speaker 1: and so this guy goes out of his way and
- 15:12Speaker 1: he goes and he plows a path. So the ambulance,
- 15:15Speaker 1: he drove it all the way from where that baby was,
- 15:17Speaker 1: all the way to the hospital, Cincinnati Children's Hospital, went
- 15:21Speaker 1: out of his way to do this and plowed away
- 15:23Speaker 1: so the ambulance could save this baby's life. Oh okay,
- 15:27Speaker 1: the big show with Froggy, John and Meghan and getting
- 15:30Speaker 1: so darned cold. We have to go. We have to
- 15:32Speaker 1: go to the chief to get some information.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Here you'll talk to an expert, not somebody like me
- 15:35Speaker 2: who freaks out.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Lou Turner from First Coast who's chief meteorologist. Great to
- 15:40Speaker 1: talk to you, aboud chat.
- 15:42Speaker 5: What a what a treat to get to talk about
- 15:44Speaker 5: freezing temperature.
- 15:45Speaker 2: So that's it. So so Lou, listen, I'm normally I'm
- 15:50Speaker 2: like the guy the little boy that cried wolf, because
- 15:52Speaker 2: I'm chicking little over here.
- 15:53Speaker 1: When it gets when the temperature starts with a four,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I get nervous. Yeah, this weekend's going to be a problem.
- 15:59Speaker 5: Correct, let's divide that in half. Froggy, we're gonna get
- 16:04Speaker 5: i mean, conservatively the twenties as we wake up, you know,
- 16:11Speaker 5: right and at the beach we're talking about wins in
- 16:15Speaker 5: the thirties. That's a single digit chill, y'all. I mean,
- 16:18Speaker 5: I mean, just you know, a simple man's mass here
- 16:22Speaker 5: we got was down to six seven degrees possible Sunday.
- 16:26Speaker 5: But I think you know, a bigger issue for folks
- 16:28Speaker 5: is like Sday, we don't have those, you know, eye
- 16:31Speaker 5: catching numbers, but we're gonna be at thirty two by
- 16:35Speaker 5: about eight o'clock Saturday night. So we're talking not being
- 16:39Speaker 5: above freezing until maybe ten o'clock eleven o'clock Sunday morning.
- 16:43Speaker 5: You're you're doing more than twelve hours. Belove for reason
- 16:46Speaker 5: that doesn't look damaged.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I don't think our landscaping, our plants are
- 16:49Speaker 2: not in for that. But did you guys catch Lo
- 16:51Speaker 2: just gave us a six seven six seven? He did,
- 16:53Speaker 2: He just gave us.
- 16:54Speaker 5: Seven, you know, and I did it. And I actually
- 16:58Speaker 5: want out to struck to get out of my because
- 17:00Speaker 5: if I have said that in front of my kids
- 17:02Speaker 5: getting ready for school, can just grow a massive monkey
- 17:05Speaker 5: wrenching the rest of my dad twenty minutes late school
- 17:11Speaker 5: because you're going to run around shooting fire whereks off
- 17:13Speaker 5: the ouse?
- 17:13Speaker 1: Dad said.
- 17:16Speaker 5: The cabins Bruck.
- 17:18Speaker 1: So Lou it's gonna be it's going to be crazy
- 17:21Speaker 1: cold on Sunday, it's going to continue into Monday. Like
- 17:25Speaker 1: as you look ahead into the models, do you see
- 17:27Speaker 1: us getting back to some type of normal temperature?
- 17:30Speaker 7: Uh?
- 17:30Speaker 5: Normal? Okay, So I love that for us is low
- 17:35Speaker 5: temperatures in the morning in the low forties and high
- 17:38Speaker 5: temperatures around sixty six. So today we're gonna get that today,
- 17:43Speaker 5: We'll be at sixty six today to celebrate. Accordingly, go
- 17:46Speaker 5: read some so freshen up your Greek. I think it's
- 17:49Speaker 5: carpe dm is what they say.
- 17:51Speaker 1: And yes, that's right. That means seize the cart is
- 17:55Speaker 1: exactly what that means.
- 17:57Speaker 5: Get your warm on a hook and find the car.
- 17:59Speaker 5: And he's the heck out of it today because we
- 18:02Speaker 5: don't see us back to normal, I mean went Thursday,
- 18:04Speaker 5: maybe of next week. So I think another big question
- 18:07Speaker 5: folks have. But we've talked about the awful stuff, the temperatures.
- 18:11Speaker 5: But you know the chance of a snow flurry, and
- 18:14Speaker 5: it's it's certainly in the realm of possibility Saturday night
- 18:17Speaker 5: to see a flurry along the coast of southeast Georgia
- 18:20Speaker 5: and maybe Jack speech it would be super quick and
- 18:22Speaker 5: we're not thinking about accumulations, but it's not impossible. And
- 18:25Speaker 5: let me tell you this, Tampa has snow flurry chances.
- 18:30Speaker 5: I saw that, Tampa.
- 18:31Speaker 2: Wow, saw that.
- 18:32Speaker 5: And they've got gas Parilla going on. I mean, this
- 18:35Speaker 5: is this is preposterous.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Yeah, we have these big events like the Donna and
- 18:39Speaker 1: Gasparilla because it's never like this, and so when it
- 18:42Speaker 1: happens during this time as his killer, well, I'm thinking.
- 18:45Speaker 5: About those Donna runners and certainly the runners, but you know,
- 18:48Speaker 5: you get thousands of thousands of people out there. You're
- 18:50Speaker 5: getting spectators, but you're also all the volunteers who got
- 18:53Speaker 5: their hours before it starts, so before the crack of dawn,
- 18:56Speaker 5: right and with a wind chill at five or six now,
- 18:59Speaker 5: I mean being all serious, frostbite and hypothermia become an issue.
- 19:03Speaker 5: If you know, you're a tried and true died in
- 19:05Speaker 5: the Wolf Floridian, you know, I mean, you may not
- 19:08Speaker 5: have all the necessary warm clothes and you're gonna need
- 19:11Speaker 5: all of them handwarmers. Shove a couple of those in
- 19:13Speaker 5: your boots, you know, and and and do your best,
- 19:15Speaker 5: but any exposed skin you have a real issue of
- 19:19Speaker 5: frostbite comes Sunday morning for especially the beach with those winds. No, no,
- 19:25Speaker 5: I always loving.
- 19:26Speaker 1: That those marathon runners you know where you don't get
- 19:28Speaker 1: frostbite sitting on your couch, eating some like bon bons
- 19:32Speaker 1: and sitting by the heat.
- 19:34Speaker 5: Yeah, called winter weight for a reason. Exactly, winterweight, baby,
- 19:39Speaker 5: get a little fluff going, and nothing wrong with that.
- 19:43Speaker 1: We loving it is your friend this time of year. Yes,
- 19:51Speaker 1: all right, buddy, we appreciate you so much.
- 19:54Speaker 5: Man, y'all stay warm, Thanks for calling. I appreciate hearing
- 19:57Speaker 5: from you too. Just do your best, stay warm and
- 20:00Speaker 5: and maybe by next Thursday we emerge a little heavier,
- 20:03Speaker 5: but no worse for the.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Wear you're saying. So you're saying in like six or
- 20:07Speaker 2: seven days, it's gonna warm up. Ah, here we go.
- 20:11Speaker 5: You're gonna get the kids all riled up in the cars.
- 20:13Speaker 5: Mama's and daddy'snna be driving.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Off the road. You see about you go, have a
- 20:18Speaker 2: great day.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Stay warning our friend Lou Turner from First Coast News
- 20:21Speaker 1: chief meteorologist to appreciate him this morning. Let's check it out.
- 20:25Speaker 1: It's three things we need to know and the megan.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Gonna started on our Friday.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Well, like Lou was saying that it's gonna be a
- 20:31Speaker 4: cold weekend and the Donna Marathon is happening this weekend,
- 20:34Speaker 4: so a bunch of the racers are going to be
- 20:36Speaker 4: on Jack's Beach. The volunteers people out there to support.
- 20:39Speaker 4: It's all the raise funds for research and awareness for
- 20:42Speaker 4: breast cancer. But if you are out there, please please
- 20:46Speaker 4: please prepare because it is going to be freezing frigid.
- 20:49Speaker 4: Whatever our scale is at the very bottom of it, it's.
- 20:52Speaker 2: Going to be super cold, frigid.
- 20:54Speaker 1: And as Lou were saying, we're you know, kind of
- 20:56Speaker 1: goofing sometimes on this cold weather, but yeah, frostbite out there.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Yeah, oh my serious thing. And there's a new scam
- 21:02Speaker 4: happening that's really serious. It's these scammers have spoofed Jea's
- 21:06Speaker 4: phone number, so they're calling people and it comes up
- 21:10Speaker 4: as their phone number or it says JEA, and basically
- 21:14Speaker 4: they're saying you have an unpaid bill and people are losing.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Money to these scammers.
- 21:18Speaker 4: So if that happens to you, hang up the phone,
- 21:21Speaker 4: call them back, or just say use the credit card
- 21:24Speaker 4: number on file.
- 21:25Speaker 3: JA should be able to do that. Something really cool
- 21:27Speaker 3: is happening for the super Bowl.
- 21:28Speaker 4: This year, Heinz Ketchup is making a one hundred and
- 21:31Speaker 4: fourteen ounce keg of Ketchup. So if you're a Ketchup lover,
- 21:34Speaker 4: get the keck. It is so big and it looks
- 21:37Speaker 4: like a keg. That's three things you need to know,
- 21:39Speaker 4: all right, We.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Got to play the pop quiz. Somebody's going to Kiki's
- 21:42Speaker 2: Breakfast Cafe.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Call us right now. We call us nine and ten
- 21:45Speaker 1: at nine oh four, three eight, eight thirty six ninety
- 21:48Speaker 1: nine WQIK Pop Quiz a couple of minutes away. It's
- 21:51Speaker 1: Friday Morning with the Big Show Froggie, John and Megan. Yeah,
- 21:53Speaker 1: one of the best things about Friday, not just the weekend.
- 21:56Speaker 2: I mean that's pretty great when it's not going to
- 21:58Speaker 2: be nineteen degrees, The weekend's fabulous. However, it is New
- 22:01Speaker 2: Music Day. We get all the new music comes up
- 22:03Speaker 2: Thursday night at midnight into Friday. And Megan, you told
- 22:06Speaker 2: us about a story earlier this week about a song
- 22:08Speaker 2: that something we thought was a song with a bunch
- 22:10Speaker 2: of music stars on it.
- 22:11Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:11Speaker 4: We had to basically collect clues on social media because
- 22:14Speaker 4: Eric Church, Morganwall and Tim mcgrawl and Hardy they all
- 22:18Speaker 4: posted these crypti things on social media. It said MacArthur
- 22:20Speaker 4: and looked like a big family. Well it's a song
- 22:23Speaker 4: and it released just today.
- 22:26Speaker 2: Yes, we got a brand new song from these guys.
- 22:27Speaker 5: End.
- 22:28Speaker 2: Here's a little clip of it.
- 22:29Speaker 9: Say so, fathers, when you pass what you've got passed, when.
- 22:55Speaker 1: You pass on what you're gonna pass down?
- 22:58Speaker 2: Well, yeah, no, I like it. It's good. It's different.
- 23:00Speaker 2: It's not exactly what we would expect. It's not the
- 23:02Speaker 2: same thing any of these guys have gotten together done before. Yeah,
- 23:05Speaker 2: not like hit making material there. It's just a cool song.
- 23:08Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 4: I feel like I can imagine them all sitting at
- 23:10Speaker 4: one of their houses just hanging out writing this song
- 23:13Speaker 4: and being like, what if we were all different generations
- 23:15Speaker 4: at a family and telling a great story.
- 23:18Speaker 9: They love it.
- 23:18Speaker 1: They do. They take each one takes one verse themselves,
- 23:22Speaker 1: and then at the very end, Morgan takes that last verse,
- 23:25Speaker 1: and and then they all join in at the very end.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Normally it's just like one of them singing right at
- 23:29Speaker 1: the end. They all kind of come together. So it's
- 23:31Speaker 1: it's the young kid and the ghost of the generation's
- 23:35Speaker 1: pasts that come together and sing and interesting song. Hardy
- 23:39Speaker 1: wrote that thing, so he did.
- 23:40Speaker 2: He wrote it.
- 23:40Speaker 1: He'll he'll write him an interesting song. He will.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Hopefully he'll write some fgls.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Stay warm this weekend. You know how the pop quiz works.
- 23:46Speaker 1: The first contestant guess is the number to the question.
- 23:48Speaker 1: The second says higher or lower. If we need a tiebreaker,
- 23:51Speaker 1: we'll ask a toss up question. Either contestant can answer,
- 23:54Speaker 1: day Leen. We start with you, what percentage of couple? Say,
- 23:58Speaker 1: just using the fray calm down can instantly spark an argument.
- 24:04Speaker 8: Ooh, I'd say maybe sixty five.
- 24:06Speaker 1: Percent, Tracy. Is that number high or lower?
- 24:10Speaker 2: I would say lower.
- 24:12Speaker 1: It is just a little bit. Fifty four percent. Fifty
- 24:15Speaker 1: four percent, Tracy. You went in the right direction. A
- 24:17Speaker 1: good guest, Daylan. But Tracy gets that point. Well done.
- 24:20Speaker 3: It's surprising. I thought it would be one hundred in
- 24:23Speaker 3: my house.
- 24:23Speaker 5: It is.
- 24:26Speaker 1: All right, Tracy, you get this question first. What was
- 24:29Speaker 1: his last hit? Bailey Zimmerman Froggy. Oh, last one was boy.
- 24:35Speaker 1: He hit the ground running with a bunch of.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Them punch in a row. And then it's been a
- 24:39Speaker 2: little bit.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's been a while. But Bailey Zimmerman, Bailey Zimmerman
- 24:42Speaker 1: Country singer Bailey Zimmerman. Tracy how old is hey? He's
- 24:47Speaker 1: twenty six years old?
- 24:49Speaker 9: You know?
- 24:50Speaker 2: Wow?
- 24:51Speaker 1: All right with DAYLM. Thanks for playing. But Tracy, you're
- 24:53Speaker 1: going to be our winner today.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Thank you, congratulations, say warm this weekend please.
- 25:01Speaker 5: We'll try all right.
- 25:03Speaker 1: House and Tracy, congratulations. Fifty dollars gift card Takiki's Oh
- 25:07Speaker 1: thank you, and don't forget a little. Around eight thirty,
- 25:10Speaker 1: we will have more tickets to see Eric Church's concert
- 25:14Speaker 1: movie at Imax with Country ninety nine one WQIK, all right,
- 25:17Speaker 1: Jo almost every bit of Friday Froggy, John and Megan
- 25:20Speaker 1: so good to be with you.
- 25:21Speaker 2: It's gonna be a super cold, frigid weekend, so let's
- 25:24Speaker 2: be honest. Today going to be We talked to Lewis
- 25:26Speaker 2: Turner from First Coast News a little bit earlier, and
- 25:29Speaker 2: he said, today's gonna be in the sixties. Today will
- 25:32Speaker 2: be a normal day, what we should expect for this
- 25:35Speaker 2: time of year.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Yep.
- 25:36Speaker 2: And then tomorrow it starts.
- 25:38Speaker 1: It does. I mean, we're going to have a mild
- 25:40Speaker 1: morning as far as mornings go this week, and you'll
- 25:42Speaker 1: go to the forties and then it'll get to fifty two.
- 25:45Speaker 1: I think, and then that's it. That's when the cap starts,
- 25:47Speaker 1: and then it starts going straight down.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Yeah, below freezing by seven o'clock tomorrow night, and then
- 25:52Speaker 2: Sunday morning waking up with temperatures in the teens with
- 25:56Speaker 2: windshills in the single digits. As this front moves in,
- 25:58Speaker 2: it's gonna be cold again on Monday morning as well.
- 26:00Speaker 2: But the concern is that Donna Marathon, Donnal marathons going
- 26:03Speaker 2: on on Sunday morning. Jack speech you anytime you go
- 26:06Speaker 2: to the beach win bowling down there, blowing off the ocean.
- 26:08Speaker 3: It does get really winding.
- 26:09Speaker 1: The one thing is for the runners, they're going to
- 26:11Speaker 1: be warm because they're going to be running twenty six
- 26:14Speaker 1: or thirteen or whatever they're doing. It's the volunteers that
- 26:17Speaker 1: are going to just be standing by and making sure
- 26:19Speaker 1: everything goes well. They're the ones. They're the ones that
- 26:21Speaker 1: are going to be I'm worried about. Yeah, it's gonna
- 26:23Speaker 1: be absolutely frigid. So if you're gonna be down there,
- 26:26Speaker 1: we've got some advice for you. Yeah, don't to.
- 26:28Speaker 8: Make unnecessary journeys, don't take risks on treacherous roads, and
- 26:33Speaker 8: don't swim in the sea.
- 26:35Speaker 1: That is very accurate information. That is I mean even
- 26:37Speaker 1: Luke lou didn't have anything better than that to give
- 26:40Speaker 1: us this morning. So it's true. Talk to about Louke
- 26:42Speaker 1: could have he can condense his forecast this afternoon on
- 26:45Speaker 1: First Coast News to seven seconds.
- 26:48Speaker 2: He did just like that. Uh, I got a question
- 26:50Speaker 2: for you, missus Meghan. I can't call you that you
- 26:54Speaker 2: get you say you didn't marry your cousin or whatever.
- 26:57Speaker 4: Because you usually call me missus Terry And I'm like,
- 26:59Speaker 4: are you trying to say that I'm in bred?
- 27:01Speaker 1: No?
- 27:02Speaker 2: So you and Alie any chance of wedding bells in
- 27:05Speaker 2: twenty twenty six.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I don't think so?
- 27:09Speaker 2: Did you hear?
- 27:10Speaker 1: Then there's some incredibleysbility there.
- 27:13Speaker 4: He I mean he says things when you're dating you
- 27:16Speaker 4: know where it's like, oh, you know, I'm going to
- 27:18Speaker 4: marry you one day, okay, one day, but he doesn't.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Know what kind of rings.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I like, you touch the nerve you're from? I have
- 27:25Speaker 1: you noticed that? So in twenty twenty six, there are
- 27:27Speaker 1: a lot of popular wedding dates. Now to get on
- 27:30Speaker 1: some of these, you'd have to act really fast, like
- 27:33Speaker 1: two six two.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Six two six two six. That would be cool.
- 27:37Speaker 4: Oh, but then getting married in February with the temperatures
- 27:42Speaker 4: outside right now, we're talking next week, Lindsay from came,
- 27:45Speaker 4: that is next week. Are Lindsay a came she's getting
- 27:48Speaker 4: married on her Yeah, she is indoors, dear. Uh, the
- 27:53Speaker 4: reception is indoors.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I checked because I was invited to the indoors indoors
- 27:57Speaker 2: anything indoors, I'm good. Okay, show up. You can make
- 28:00Speaker 2: a wall out of the park, park, I'll pay the
- 28:02Speaker 2: park more. There are two Friday the thirteenth in this year, Yeah,
- 28:09Speaker 2: one in February, which also means there's one in March. Yes,
- 28:12Speaker 2: because with twenty eight days in February, the first twenty
- 28:15Speaker 2: eight days of both months are on the same day.
- 28:18Speaker 4: What's difficult about being a friend who has other married
- 28:22Speaker 4: friends and you're not right is the other dates of
- 28:26Speaker 4: weddings you've attended. So I've actually been to a February
- 28:30Speaker 4: or Friday the thirteenth wedding, Yeah, and I was in it.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Oh, so that's kind of off the board.
- 28:34Speaker 1: All right.
- 28:34Speaker 2: So June has six two two six and six six
- 28:39Speaker 2: two six and six two six two six.
- 28:41Speaker 4: Six to six is stitch that's his alien name and
- 28:44Speaker 4: Leelo and Stitch, so that would actually be really cool
- 28:46Speaker 4: for Disney fans.
- 28:47Speaker 1: So then that's that's important days. There's also eight eight
- 28:51Speaker 1: to six. It's a magic date. All numbers divisible by two. Yep,
- 28:55Speaker 1: eight eight equal eight eight and then two six equals eight.
- 28:59Speaker 4: Yeah, so that's why that feels like a very difficult,
- 29:01Speaker 4: like super safe lock combination.
- 29:03Speaker 1: You got to got to carry the one when I
- 29:05Speaker 1: got to carry numbers. Man, I don't know, but I'm
- 29:07Speaker 1: sorry I brought up such a kind of me. You
- 29:10Speaker 1: really changed there.
- 29:10Speaker 4: That was quick hot talk, yeah, because I'm like, you know,
- 29:13Speaker 4: I'm twenty nine years old, and there's a lot of
- 29:16Speaker 4: weird things mentally that happen when you're walking up to
- 29:19Speaker 4: thirty where you start to think of all the things
- 29:22Speaker 4: that you saw.
- 29:22Speaker 2: You're already there. I know you're there either.
- 29:26Speaker 3: I probably want to I'll get married at forty probably.
- 29:28Speaker 9: At this rate.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Oh you will know, you get a date for ten
- 29:31Speaker 2: more years.
- 29:31Speaker 9: You never know.
- 29:32Speaker 3: No, I mean, I love him, so I'm not going
- 29:34Speaker 3: to break up with him, so, you know, but I'm
- 29:37Speaker 3: kind of weird. I think I would rather I'd like
- 29:39Speaker 3: to have a wedding ceremony and not actually file the paperwork.
- 29:44Speaker 3: Is that weird? Like, I don't know if I actually
- 29:46Speaker 3: want to be legally married.
- 29:48Speaker 5: Why?
- 29:49Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 29:50Speaker 4: I think I've just seen a lot of people lose
- 29:52Speaker 4: everything that they have. I don't really have anything, but
- 29:54Speaker 4: in ten years, I hope I will go with that.
- 29:56Speaker 2: You got to take that leap to don't go with that.
- 29:58Speaker 1: This is these are leaps of faith.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Can say half of it, half of them in in divorce,
- 30:01Speaker 2: but that means half of them are successful. Be on
- 30:03Speaker 2: the successful half.
- 30:05Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I mean, you guys have been married for
- 30:07Speaker 4: a long time and it's such out.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Yes, we haven't had a fight one day, not the
- 30:11Speaker 1: first one. I ever had one issue, not never had
- 30:13Speaker 1: any kind of head button at all.
- 30:15Speaker 3: But you still have all your assets, you know. So
- 30:18Speaker 3: that's what I'm like. You know, I don't want I
- 30:19Speaker 3: don't want to lose everything.
- 30:20Speaker 1: You ever seen the meme of.
- 30:21Speaker 2: The guy riding his bike nakedness is on his way
- 30:23Speaker 2: home from divorce court. That's that's how it works. Yeah,
- 30:25Speaker 2: I know, And I don't want to.
- 30:27Speaker 3: I don't want to feel I'm losing into that.
- 30:28Speaker 2: You're not the guy in this situation. I think you're
- 30:30Speaker 2: I think, no, don't think of those.
- 30:32Speaker 1: This is not how you go into a lifelong commitment. No,
- 30:35Speaker 1: because you're already thinking of the exit plan. No, no,
- 30:38Speaker 1: say no, it's going to be good, Meghan, stick with Okay,
- 30:41Speaker 1: stick with us, We'll lean on Oli, We'll get this done.
- 30:43Speaker 4: Okay, start flying the pressure boys, it's giving the Meggan's
- 30:48Speaker 4: three things that she's If Alway's listening, Alli, I think
- 30:51Speaker 4: you got some work to do.
- 30:52Speaker 3: But brother, come on, at least ask me what kind
- 30:54Speaker 3: of ring I like, Maybe it would be a good start.
- 30:57Speaker 2: Well, maybe he hasn't.
- 30:58Speaker 1: You don't even remember.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Maybe he's just like fishing. Sometimes sometimes we fish. We
- 31:01Speaker 2: don't just come out times.
- 31:02Speaker 1: We're more clever and you'll think y'll figure us out
- 31:04Speaker 1: every time, And it's not every No, always new case.
- 31:08Speaker 3: You guys are giving me hope more than sports.
- 31:10Speaker 2: And farts, believe it or not. I mean, we're that,
- 31:13Speaker 2: but we're more than that and more.
- 31:15Speaker 5: Right.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Well, since you love sports so much, I think it
- 31:18Speaker 4: would be really cool, you know, for maybe one of
- 31:20Speaker 4: you to consider running in a marathon like the Donna
- 31:23Speaker 4: Marathon happening this weekend.
- 31:24Speaker 2: I ran the half Miami Half Marathon in twenty fifteen.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It was the worst had you ever had in my life.
- 31:29Speaker 3: I ran up to publics okay that cout coutavy steps
- 31:33Speaker 3: it was too cold.
- 31:33Speaker 4: Then well, you know, the Donna Marathon is doing a
- 31:36Speaker 4: lot of really good things for breast cancer awareness and research.
- 31:40Speaker 3: So if you're going to go, we applaud.
- 31:43Speaker 4: You, cheer loud for us, but please bundle up because
- 31:46Speaker 4: it's going to be really cold.
- 31:47Speaker 3: Heine's Ketchup's doing something really cool.
- 31:49Speaker 4: There's a keg of Catchup they're releasing for the Super
- 31:52Speaker 4: Bowl one hundred and fourteen ounces. And I know some
- 31:54Speaker 4: people are Ketchup fanatics, so that you might want to
- 31:58Speaker 4: get too if your house goes through Ketchup really quick.
- 32:00Speaker 4: There's a new scam happening in town with JEA. Scammers
- 32:04Speaker 4: are using their actual phone number. They've spoofed it somehow.
- 32:07Speaker 4: They're calling people trying to get money from you. So
- 32:09Speaker 4: if you get a call from JEA, just hang up,
- 32:13Speaker 4: call back, or just say use the card on file
- 32:15Speaker 4: and leave it at that.
- 32:16Speaker 3: That's three things you need to know.
- 32:18Speaker 2: She's got a notification on my phone. It says for
- 32:19Speaker 2: the first time ever and extreme Cold Watch has been
- 32:22Speaker 2: issued for the first coast that has never been done before.
- 32:25Speaker 5: Wow.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Wow, that's how cold it's going to be this weekend.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Yeah, this is a stay warm the Big Show Froggy,
- 32:30Speaker 1: John and Meghan we calling it the NonStop big show
- 32:32Speaker 1: rolling right now with an opportunity to see Eric Church
- 32:36Speaker 1: in concert. He's going to it's a movie of one
- 32:38Speaker 1: of his concerts, and he's doing a full album and
- 32:41Speaker 1: then he's going to do all the other songs that
- 32:42Speaker 1: you know and love from Eric Church. So if you're
- 32:44Speaker 1: part of the Church Choir, as they call their fan club,
- 32:47Speaker 1: you'll probably really really love this. But if you'd like
- 32:49Speaker 1: to go, we're going to give you a chance to win.
- 32:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 32:51Speaker 2: It's at the Imax Theater. So it's not just a
- 32:53Speaker 2: regular movie screen, right, It's the Imax Theater, So it's
- 32:56Speaker 2: more it's a very immersive experience with Eric Church.
- 33:00Speaker 1: If you're a big Eric Church fan, great way to
- 33:02Speaker 1: say it.
- 33:03Speaker 2: You probably know the lyrics to his songs.
- 33:05Speaker 1: Yep.
- 33:05Speaker 2: The problem is is we have you know, John and
- 33:07Speaker 2: are really nice guys. We want you to win always. Megan,
- 33:11Speaker 2: for some reason, likes to make it tough.
- 33:13Speaker 1: Yeah, why is that? It's kind of a twisting of
- 33:16Speaker 1: the knife, if you would. Lyrically.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I just found a knife on the floor on her
- 33:19Speaker 2: side of the room. I'm not sure what she's planning,
- 33:20Speaker 2: that's right, say no more. I took it away though,
- 33:23Speaker 2: say less.
- 33:23Speaker 4: I'm not playing anything right now because I'm trying to
- 33:26Speaker 4: train for the Donna Marathon.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I'm running place is trying to try my best.
- 33:32Speaker 1: So what she's going to do is give us a
- 33:34Speaker 1: a Eric Church lyric, okay, as if she was running
- 33:38Speaker 1: the marathon right now. So it's like out of breath
- 33:40Speaker 1: lyrics with Megan. Okay, go ahead.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Yeah, And I want to do an Australian accept for
- 33:44Speaker 3: MO two.
- 33:45Speaker 2: Okay, multitasking all right.
- 33:48Speaker 4: When I think about you, I think about seventeen, my
- 33:54Speaker 4: old jeep, and I think about the stars.
- 33:58Speaker 9: In the sky.
- 34:00Speaker 1: You know, I think I think we need the twenty
- 34:04Speaker 1: six point two voice of a runner giving an Eric
- 34:09Speaker 1: Church song with an Australian accent.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Okay, let me start writing in place again.
- 34:14Speaker 4: When I think about you, I think about seventeen, my
- 34:20Speaker 4: old jeep.
- 34:21Speaker 3: I think about the stars in the sky.
- 34:24Speaker 1: Okay, stop, Natalie, help us. What songs that way to go?
- 34:32Speaker 5: Great?
- 34:33Speaker 2: Put y'all by.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Mika Jason Aldan The Big Show. It's Froggy, John and
- 34:37Speaker 1: Meghan this Friday morning. This is zipped right along and
- 34:39Speaker 1: thanks to your help, we appreciate you being a part
- 34:41Speaker 1: of our show.
- 34:42Speaker 5: Going to be a.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Coldman on a Sunday morning, And I found this website
- 34:46Speaker 2: that has like myths they debunked on things to do
- 34:49Speaker 2: in cold weather for your car.
- 34:51Speaker 1: Oh heard things. Yeah, so if you are going maybe
- 34:54Speaker 1: maybe the Donna Marathon, you gotta get a early Sunday morning.
- 34:57Speaker 1: If you're going to the Donna Marathon, you probably gonn
- 34:59Speaker 1: have to get in the car on five. So these
- 35:01Speaker 1: things are Some of these are things that you should
- 35:03Speaker 1: do and some are things you should not do. I
- 35:05Speaker 1: have heard some of the miss Okay, can I ask
- 35:07Speaker 1: and to jump in on one? Yea, do they have
- 35:10Speaker 1: boiling water on your windshield?
- 35:12Speaker 3: That is a no bad idea.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been going around TikTok. But the extreme temperature
- 35:17Speaker 2: shift will shatter your windshield.
- 35:20Speaker 1: No boiling water. Now, you can put warm water, but
- 35:23Speaker 1: not they said even that you should use cold water.
- 35:25Speaker 2: Actually yeah, they said you should use cold water because
- 35:27Speaker 2: it's gonna be colder once it hits your windshield, so
- 35:29Speaker 2: all you're trying to do is get it too thirty
- 35:31Speaker 2: four degrees. That's it, Okay, you just need to get
- 35:33Speaker 2: it moved. Guy slush it says, use hand sanitizer to
- 35:37Speaker 2: unfreeze your door locks. I don't think we'll get that cold.
- 35:40Speaker 2: But if it, if there is moisture, maybe your sprinklers
- 35:42Speaker 2: run or something.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I guess that might be because that's there's alcohol in
- 35:45Speaker 1: there's alcohol, Okay, so that will help melt the ice.
- 35:49Speaker 1: That's good.
- 35:49Speaker 2: Okay. Covering side mirrors with socks, is they they said,
- 35:52Speaker 2: is a yes, I've never.
- 35:54Speaker 1: I've never. We've never had it so cold for so
- 35:56Speaker 1: long that I would think that.
- 35:57Speaker 2: They said, it sounds silly, But if you put socks
- 35:59Speaker 2: or all plastic bag over your side mirrors, it'll stop
- 36:02Speaker 2: them from forming frost overnight and you don't have to
- 36:05Speaker 2: scrape it off in the morning.
- 36:06Speaker 4: I have a hard time with that one, because since
- 36:09Speaker 4: I did grow up in a very snowy climate, if
- 36:13Speaker 4: there's a lot of moisture in the air and it freezes,
- 36:16Speaker 4: the sock will freeze to it will freeze there.
- 36:19Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 36:20Speaker 1: Good point.
- 36:21Speaker 4: So if it's really, really frozen. You have a hard
- 36:24Speaker 4: time getting it off.
- 36:25Speaker 2: You can't see through your sock.
- 36:27Speaker 1: To see through the sock, and.
- 36:28Speaker 4: Then everyone's gonna know you're an idiot drive around because
- 36:31Speaker 4: you look like you have laundry on your mouf your car.
- 36:35Speaker 2: Megan, have you ever heard of rubbing potatoes on your
- 36:37Speaker 2: windshield to prevent frost?
- 36:39Speaker 5: No?
- 36:39Speaker 3: But is this something to do with the starch?
- 36:42Speaker 5: It is?
- 36:42Speaker 2: It says avoid it. It's been a viral myth for
- 36:44Speaker 2: a while.
- 36:45Speaker 1: The starch may delay ice slightly, but it leaves a
- 36:48Speaker 1: sticky film that is almost impossible to get off later on.
- 36:52Speaker 3: These hacks are cool, but I mean, really, you just need.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Ten to fifteen minutes, warm up the car, put on
- 36:59Speaker 4: the the windshield thing and it will come on.
- 37:03Speaker 2: Give yourself extra time. Yeah, your road start seat heaters.
- 37:07Speaker 1: That is a game changer right now. This morning, I
- 37:09Speaker 1: h I had to sit and get my defrost. Did
- 37:12Speaker 1: the frost are working?
- 37:13Speaker 2: It was doing? Yeah, you can hear it.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Yeah, it was crunchy this morning.
- 37:17Speaker 1: It was crunchy. So I waited five extra minutes and
- 37:19Speaker 1: then next thing, you know, Now, how about did they
- 37:21Speaker 1: did they say anything about about the swimming in the sea?
- 37:25Speaker 2: Yes, they did.
- 37:25Speaker 1: They did.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Don't swim in the sea.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Okay, you should not swim in the sea.
- 37:29Speaker 2: That is a bad idea.
- 37:30Speaker 1: And right now the surf tip is fifty six degrees
- 37:33Speaker 1: and it's only going to get cold. Yeah, and it's
- 37:35Speaker 1: like fourteen degrees cooler than it normally is. So fifty
- 37:38Speaker 1: six degrees.
- 37:39Speaker 3: In the sea, that's warmer than it is out here.
- 37:42Speaker 2: It is, it's warmer in the water, but it won't
- 37:43Speaker 2: feel hold on, So that makes sense. John, Let me
- 37:45Speaker 2: ask you this, because you're the smartest person definitely in
- 37:48Speaker 2: this room in the world.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Very sad.
- 37:51Speaker 2: If it's if the feels like temperature's Sunday morning is four,
- 37:56Speaker 2: does that mean if I go get in the ocean,
- 37:57Speaker 2: i'd be warmer.
- 37:58Speaker 1: You would be, well, only a certain part of you
- 38:01Speaker 1: because you're not going to immerse yourself all the way
- 38:03Speaker 1: into the water. So not Okay, go ahead, go under,
- 38:06Speaker 1: that'll be good. But you got to come up, buddy,
- 38:09Speaker 1: to become a morma. You get a coming aqua man, Yes,
- 38:11Speaker 1: you go, Jason Momoa on us. And then the next thing,
- 38:14Speaker 1: it's good. Can I'll pass on that?
- 38:17Speaker 2: Three things? What is going on as we uh finish up.
- 38:19Speaker 2: The Sacksonville Friday.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Morning Jump crazy scam is going on.
- 38:23Speaker 4: Jea's phone number has been spoofed by these scammers. They're
- 38:27Speaker 4: calling customers and it looks like they're calling them seriously,
- 38:30Speaker 4: like legitimately, but it's not Jea.
- 38:33Speaker 3: They're just trying to get money from you.
- 38:34Speaker 4: So if you get a call from them in the
- 38:36Speaker 4: you know, next week or so, just hang up the phone,
- 38:39Speaker 4: call them back, or ask them to use the credit
- 38:43Speaker 4: card they've got on file for you so you don't
- 38:44Speaker 4: get scammed. The Donna Marathon that's happening this weekend is
- 38:49Speaker 4: incredible because they're doing a lot to raise money and
- 38:52Speaker 4: awareness for breast cancer research. But if you're going out
- 38:56Speaker 4: there to cheer someone on, make sure you dress appropriately.
- 38:59Speaker 3: We want you to be safe and happy.
- 39:01Speaker 4: Hines is doing the most for the Super Bowl this
- 39:04Speaker 4: year with a one hundred and fourteen ounce keg of Catchup.
- 39:08Speaker 4: If you're a big ketchup catchup household er, you're having
- 39:10Speaker 4: a big party, this would be cool. I feel like
- 39:12Speaker 4: they would start a lot of conversations and be fun.
- 39:14Speaker 4: So that's three things you.
- 39:15Speaker 1: Need to know.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Let's get another quick check on your Jacksonville traffic to
- 39:18Speaker 2: get you where you're going on time.
- 39:20Speaker 1: No major crashes right now, we got some slow and
- 39:22Speaker 1: gooday warned this weekend, Tipsy, whatever you gotta do, I
- 39:24Speaker 1: hope it's all good for you. Country ninety nine one
- 39:27Speaker 1: WQIK The Big Show with Froggy, John and Meghan before
- 39:30Speaker 1: we dash off into the cold for this weekend. What
- 39:33Speaker 1: did we learn today? Big Show? Megan?
- 39:36Speaker 4: What I learned today is you guys's sports report for
- 39:39Speaker 4: how many times you talked about sports today?
- 39:41Speaker 3: I'm very proud of you. Your number was only thirteen today.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Wow, for a whole day.
- 39:45Speaker 4: Yes, that's good, usually fifteen minute interval, so I appreciate that.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Ull You're welcome.
- 39:51Speaker 2: We did good. I learned from Lewis Turner that it
- 39:54Speaker 2: is going to be dangerously cold on Sunday morning, so
- 39:57Speaker 2: we joke about the weather and everything else. But seriously,
- 39:59Speaker 2: if you're on one of the volunteers at the Donna
- 40:02Speaker 2: Marathon Sunday morning, listen number one, thank you for what
- 40:05Speaker 2: you do, because it is an amazing event with a
- 40:08Speaker 2: great cause and it does a lot of good. But
- 40:11Speaker 2: if you're going to be a
