  Speaker 1: but he did. I'm gonna share with you today a

  Speaker 1: principle of success.

  Speaker 2: You know. It's it's important that we get our lives together.

  Speaker 1: You know, the hereafter is exactly what it says is

  Speaker 1: to hereafter, and hopefully for the majority of us, that's

  Speaker 1: talk in the morning about your relationship with God that

  Speaker 1: can never change. That is at the forefront and the

  Speaker 1: to a lot of people man who out there just

  Speaker 1: not sure. And I'm talking to a lot of people

  Speaker 1: out there man that's trying to pull it together. In

  Speaker 1: other words, you know, I'm talking to a lot of

  Speaker 1: people like myself. There is a principle of success that

  Speaker 1: is out there that if more people understood one of

  Speaker 1: the base this is just one of one of the

  Speaker 1: basic principles of success, you would have more success in

  Speaker 1: your life. And that principle is this, the more people

  Speaker 1: you help become successful, the more successful you become. Well,

  Speaker 1: the more people you help become successful, the more successful

  Speaker 1: you become. Because you are a practicing health and as

  Speaker 1: you do unto others, then it's done unto you. You know,

  Speaker 1: you build relationships. When you do that, people forget and

  Speaker 1: success that has to be relationships. There is no one

  Speaker 1: person in this world who is just successful all on

  Speaker 1: their own. You are successful, and successful people form relationships,

  Speaker 1: and you've got to really coddle these relationships. You've got

  Speaker 1: to nurture these relationships. They don't just happen. You don't

  Speaker 1: just get cool with people just cause you cool. No,

  Speaker 1: you've got to do some cool things to these people

  Speaker 1: and for these people, for these people to be cool

  Speaker 1: with you when you need some cool. I don't know

  Speaker 1: if I'm explaining that right, but that's the best way

  Speaker 1: a minute man to uplift somebody. Give them some encouragement. Hey, man,

  Speaker 1: You have no idea how significant you are to someone else.

  Speaker 1: today I'm talking about it's a person looking at you

  Speaker 1: really know them, and you see them struggling with something.

  Speaker 1: Just say, hey, you know what, I've been watching you

  Speaker 1: from afar. You gonna be all right, man, I see

  Speaker 1: some menu. Keep doing the right thing, man, You're gonna

  Speaker 1: be all right. I had a meeting with a young

  Speaker 1: man for the first time, and this young man came

  Speaker 1: into my office. I never met him. He has an

  Speaker 1: internet service which anybody can teach me something about the internet,

  Speaker 1: because I know little too close to nothing. He was

  Speaker 1: twenty seven years old, and he was amazingly bright at this,

  Speaker 1: and I guess, you know, that's not that hard to
• 4:20
  Speaker 1: impress me. But the fluid speech pattern that he had
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: about this very very difficult subject. He was tossing around
• 4:29
  Speaker 1: the terms I had heard, but he was actually putting
• 4:32
  Speaker 1: him in sentences where it made since to me. It's
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: very fluid, very sure of himself. When he was talking
• 4:38
  Speaker 1: about this little thing, A young dude, twenty seven years old.

  Speaker 1: And when he got through, the woman that had introduced
• 4:46
  Speaker 1: me to him, I was leaving my office and she
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: was going to escort him out, and I turned around
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: and I said, young man, I said what size.

  Speaker 2: Pants are you?

  Speaker 1: And I guessed it because I've been dressing for I've

  Speaker 1: been all them sizes. And I said, you about a

  Speaker 1: thirty ways? He said yes, sir. I said what side

  Speaker 1: shoe you waisted nine and a half? I said what
• 5:07
  Speaker 1: side shirt is? At a medium? He said, I really
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: like extra large. I said, well that's too big for you.

  Speaker 1: You just want to look blousy and bagging. And so
• 5:17
  Speaker 1: I was talking to him, man, I said, man, I'm
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: gonna help you out, I said, man, because let me
• 5:22
  Speaker 1: tell you something.

  Speaker 2: You a sharp young dude.

  Speaker 1: Man.

  Speaker 2: You are raisor sharp. I said. You've really really impressed

  Speaker 2: me today, I said.

  Speaker 1: And you know what, young brother, I said, You're gonna

  Speaker 1: make a lot of money one day.

  Speaker 2: Man, I said, but I want you to get your

  Speaker 2: image up. I want you to.

  Speaker 1: I want you to look at how you dress because

  Speaker 1: you're coming into professional people's office and you're talking about

  Speaker 1: doing something for them, and it takes money to make
• 5:46
  Speaker 1: it happen. I got to give you money to make

  Speaker 1: this happen. What you cannot afford to do is look

  Speaker 1: like you need every dime of this money. See you

  Speaker 1: get when you go in there and you talking about
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: money with another person, person that's gonna give you this money.

  Speaker 1: Cannot you can't look like you need every dime of

  Speaker 1: this money, you know, So you got to start presenting yourself.

  Speaker 1: And that's all I just said to him. I just said, man,

  Speaker 1: but you know what, you shocked. You're gonna make yourself

  Speaker 1: some money. I'm gonna help you out a little bit.

  Speaker 1: I walked out. I went on bout my business. Later

  Speaker 1: on that afternoon, I had a meeting with the woman
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: that bought him in and she said, mister Harvey, you
• 6:21
  Speaker 1: have no idea what you just did. He said, his
• 6:24
  Speaker 1: eyes just teared up when you walked out. He said, Wow, man,
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: that man don't even know me, and he just encouraged me.
• 6:32
  Speaker 1: He said, man, I always thought I might could make it,
• 6:34
  Speaker 1: but he said, I ain't. Never had nobody like him
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: tell me I could make it. And just hearing it
• 6:39
  Speaker 1: from him, man, that's all right. I'm gonna get my
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: clothes together. But you know, I've been homeless. And then
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: he started telling the woman that he had been homeless,
• 6:50
  Speaker 1: and so you know, then she telling me that now
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: I'm fit to cry because you know, I've been in
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: that hole before. And I just and I'm just sharing
• 6:57
  Speaker 1: that story with y'all just to say, you don't know

  Speaker 1: who you talking to, but what does it hurt if
• 7:04
  Speaker 1: you just extend your hand to a person and give
• 7:07
  Speaker 1: them a moment of encouragement. See this young brother right here,

  Speaker 1: he could come back one day and be a major
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: benefit to me because he has a skill set that
• 7:18
  Speaker 1: I don't have.

  Speaker 2: Oh.

  Speaker 1: I might be old, mister Steve Harvey, but hey, guess

  Speaker 1: what I don't know nothing about what this young cat know,

  Speaker 1: and he done went off and educated himself.

  Speaker 2: And just a word of encouragement.

  Speaker 1: From somebody like yourself can make all the difference in

  Speaker 1: another person's life.

  Speaker 2: So remember on your way to the top.

  Speaker 1: The more people that you help become successful, the more

  Speaker 1: successful you become. It's a requirement of God that you
