- 1:35[SPEAKER_02]: We were going to podcast on Wednesday.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and then lot of stuff happened last week.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_02]: Lot of, we've had some family developments, life developments.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: And so at least you had news.
- 1:48[SPEAKER_02]: You wanted to give everybody.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so we should have talked about this off here, Michael, are we sharing the why of what I'm gonna announce?
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: necessarily thinks so.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_04]: We are going to be going on a hiatus.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_04]: It will be temporary.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_04]: We will be back.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_04]: We promise.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_04]: But you should not expect new episodes from us on a regular basis at least until the end of March, basically.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_04]: That doesn't mean that we will be completely gone.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_04]: There is a chance that I will pop up with YouTube videos as things happen if those are necessary.
- 2:31[SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, we're going to step away for the next two months and we will be back brighter and better than ever.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe with an even cooler looking podcast than then before.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I look a little different.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, in a good way.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_04]: In a good way.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, in a good way.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, let's just get through it.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_02]: I'm getting a face transplant.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, yeah.
- 3:01[SPEAKER_02]: We have a bunch of stuff going on and in our next other words.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_02]: And so we'll be doing that sort of thing.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: We'll be back, of course, as soon as we can, and we'll, you know, if you're in the discord, we always share stuff in the discord a little bit extra and whatnot.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, if you want to know the T, go join the, go join the, join the, join the, on YouTube, and get access to the discord.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_02]: This makes it sound like it's something weird.
- 3:32[SPEAKER_02]: It's not something we're mad.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_02]: We're moving.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, there you go.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we're moving.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_04]: We are moving, and it was a decision that was made in a sort of not out of the blue, but kind of out of the blue.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_04]: So we have a lot that we need to do to get ready and to move.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we're going to have a new studio when we come back.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_04]: And if you've been around for a while, you know that like every couple of years, we just go on a random spring.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_04]: absence for a room spring and reasons that just because life gets too crazy and so I was telling michael basically like this time because we know what's going on right now you know let's let's just let's just call the let's just say we're going to go out of hiatus instead of ending up practically going on hiatus because there's just too much in life to to deal with so yeah
- 4:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyways, last stuff coming up in this episode, we gotta talk about USC's 2026 schedule released last week.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: At least yeah, I think we just sort of get right into it.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_02]: Essie schedules release still without a,
- 4:47[SPEAKER_02]: full schedule in the sense is the big 10 schedule.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_02]: We already knew the SC was playing Fresno State on September 5th and SC was playing Louisiana on September 12th.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_02]: But we didn't exactly know the layout and the format of the big 10 schedule.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: SC still has one opponent to add on
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: And so we didn't know if that hole in the schedule is going to be September 19th, week three, or what?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_02]: And the big 10 schedule comes out and low and behold, SE plays in week three on the road in Piscataway at Rutgers in week three on September 19th.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_02]: So all this means the SE has two by weeks.
- 5:41[SPEAKER_02]: Saturday, October 17th, Saturday, November 7th, and the most likely scenario for U.S. East 12th game is week zero, which would be Saturday, August 29th.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: So quickly, running through the schedule, Fresno State, Louisiana, at Rutgers, home to Oregon, home to Washington, at Penn State, by week at Wisconsin, home to Ohio State,
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: by week at the defending national champion Indiana Hoosiers home against Maryland at UCLA uh... and then if s c fairs well in the season they could go to the big ten championship game in the napolis but that is
- 6:28[SPEAKER_04]: pipe dream at this point long long way to go, but I wouldn't call it a pipe dream, but it's definitely not something we need to be talking about at this like USC is a lot to prove before we can start talking about them definitely playing on December, December 5th.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, at least here that you are thoughts on the release of SES, big 10 schedule and how it all sort of lays out.
- 6:50[SPEAKER_04]: I think schedule release time is always funny to me because everyone jumps on like, what does it mean?
- 6:57[SPEAKER_04]: And who has the toughest schedule and who has the easiest schedule?
- 7:00[SPEAKER_04]: And it's in a lot of times it's like, well, we already knew who people were playing.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_04]: So we already knew who had really tough home and road, home and road splits.
- 7:08[SPEAKER_04]: Home and road splits.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_04]: And so then the schedule like, it almost gets like, over like overblown in terms of what it tells us,
- 7:20[SPEAKER_04]: except for some, you know, really key kind of things like where is the by-week and, you know, does U.S. end up playing a, back-to-back road games are like three really hard teams in a row, whatever.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_04]: but it's always just kind of funny because everyone will say they're conference screwed them like U.S. defense will say that the big-ten did them no favors.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_04]: Ohio State and Oregon fans are saying the same thing because they're looking at the very specific thing of their of their deals so I think the headline coming out of this is that U.S.C.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_04]: will face Ohio State after the book guys are on a buy.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and USC will face Indiana after the Hoosiers are on a buy at the same time USC is also on a buy the same week that Indiana is on so sort of that's fair game and it all just sort of I don't know like most schedules it all just flows and the only thing we can guess right now is which parts of the schedule will be kind of tough.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_04]: And even that we're guessing at because we don't know what Penn State's going to be this year.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_04]: If Penn State turns out to be good, then that stretch of Oregon, Washington, and Penn State before the buy is going to be tough, especially because you get at Rutgers, which is a very long road trip to start that string of conference play.
- 8:48[SPEAKER_04]: there's also a universe where Washington falls off because demon Williams drama is too much and Penn State is in complete rebuild mode with Matt Campbell and then you're you're looking at like oh it was a very easy three and one start to the campaign but it turns out the Wisconsin's added added their what was it the investment that they were going to put in
- 9:15[SPEAKER_04]: with look fickle paid off and suddenly at what at Wisconsin then then Ohio state is like murders row which is that probable I don't know it's also not probable that like Maryland and UCLA turn out to be juggernaut but you never know Maryland sort of has some pieces come together this past season so
- 9:34[SPEAKER_04]: It's all just guessing games.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_04]: Outside of that, it does feel like the schedule is relatively balanced.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_04]: In that, I don't think there's any stretch that feels like an utter murder is row.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_04]: You get a break between Ohio State and Indiana, which is good.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_04]: Oregon and Washington back to back is going to be tough, but they're both at home.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_04]: Penn State is going to be tough because it's
- 10:05[SPEAKER_04]: that game is extremely difficult to get a read on right now.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_04]: So, to me, did this schedule give USC any pluses or minus to like win loss projections?
- 10:22[SPEAKER_04]: No, I don't think it did.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_04]: I think the win loss projection is probably the same as it was.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think that, you know,
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: you you bring up a great point about like we already knew the schedule in terms of who S.C. was going to face home and road and this is the thing that I always talk about with the NFL schedule release like never understood how it's like a holiday like I don't get you already know who they're playing and but I understand that it's if you're going to go to games you got to you know schedule when you're going to go or whatever um
- 10:58[SPEAKER_02]: And the NFL does have games in Europe and games on Thursday.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that those do impact things more than the call of football schedule does at the same time, you're looking for to avoid back-to-back road games.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking to avoid repeated long-cross country trips.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_02]: You're looking to avoid
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Having all your tough games and one spot in one stretch or any of those things and Given what we know about S.C. schedule, they had to play Ohio State and Oregon and Washington at home.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_02]: They had to go on the road to Indiana and Penn State.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think if this is the schedule that you're getting with these opponents,
- 11:46[SPEAKER_02]: I have a hard time finding a better way to organize that schedule that you'd like better than this.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to say that this is, obviously it's not, it's a very difficult schedule.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying anything but that, but if you're going to have a tough schedule with those opponents, organize it this way,
- 12:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's not too bad given the circumstance, right?
- 12:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like you do have to go on the road at Indiana in November.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_02]: But I'd rather go to Indiana in November than Wisconsin.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: Splint hairs a little bit, I guess.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_02]: You get two of the cross country trips.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: out in the first six weeks.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_02]: In Rutgers and Penn State, you get by weeks sort of nicely placed, especially before the Indiana game.
- 12:47[SPEAKER_04]: The only thing I don't like about the by weeks is that I just hate like that middle bit being just two weeks.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: Sure.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I think if anything, maybe you'd wish
- 13:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but but I don't know how I'm going to say that doing the road game off of the buy might be the better Yeah, I don't know either way that like these are the conversations instead of like you know Organ, I think got a really tough schedule they could add adds Ohio State then the following week is Michigan at Michigan State and the following week is home against Washington
- 13:32[SPEAKER_02]: That is a really tough stretch with that Michigan state game sort of being a trap game.
- 13:36[SPEAKER_04]: That is a really tough stretch at the end of the season, factoring and also they have at Illinois in in October.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_04]: And that is the end stretch of an eight game stretch without a break.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_04]: So like, if you're Oregon as I put in the churches now, like, I'm not saying that Oregon's schedule is
- 13:52[SPEAKER_04]: demonstrably harder than USC's are that there aren't advantages that organ is getting that USC isn't getting but the same could be said either way if USC had this at the schedule that organ has we would be talking about how the victim hadn't done USC any favors and that this was a really brutal stretched end the season you know like everybody has their their tough their tough stretches is basically what i'm saying and also like if i'm organ i don't want to start
- 14:19[SPEAKER_04]: conference play at USC.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_04]: Like that is one of the last matchups that I would choose for for going into conference play.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah.
- 14:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think, you know, S season in a decent spot in terms of how it all gets organized there.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_02]: How do you feel about the three game stretch in week four, five and six, which of course will be game six, sorry, five, six, seven of Oregon, Washington, Penn State, because we've talked on this pod for more than a decade about the games that will define the season.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get spantied about all the time.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like you mentioned earlier, these things often change because we're just going off of what we assume teams to be going forward when last year was a prime example of
- 15:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know, people thought Clemson was going to be good and they were garbage, right?
- 15:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like so you never truly exactly know.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_04]: And that's why like Trojan fight in the chat is bringing up the thing that USC's toughest games, the opponents all have like either a by week or a an easy stretch, or like an easy game right before.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_04]: So you know Ohio State's on a buy Indiana's on a buy along with USC.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_04]: Oregon plays Portland State before going to USC and it's like, yeah, sure, those are the way that we sort of perceive things, but we also don't know how good any of these teams are going to be.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: We don't know if it matters that, you know, somebody is playing somebody else because
- 16:16[SPEAKER_04]: The idea that playing Portland State is an advantage for Oregon, I kind of reject that because there is a strong argument for the idea of ramping up and what Oregon is doing in their non-con is ramping down.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_04]: They play Boise State and then they go at Oklahoma State and then they play Portland State, the FCS team,
- 16:38[SPEAKER_04]: Do you want to be going in to play USC when you when when your players have all spent the week sleep walking through?
- 16:46[SPEAKER_02]: No, I think that would be the time to play the FCS team as after.
- 16:52[SPEAKER_02]: boys, I think Oregon's non-con is pretty ideally.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah, I guess what it's the idea that somehow like Oregon has this unfair advantage over USC because they play Portland State the week before.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_04]: No, it's just non-con, like I think it's
- 17:17[SPEAKER_02]: you're you're never going to have every single advantage.
- 17:20[SPEAKER_02]: And yes, SC has to go on the road at Rutgers before the Oregon game, but I
- 17:28[SPEAKER_04]: a lot of this would you rather than be going on the road to Penn State because again you have to play these teams and you're going to get fortunate and unfortunate draws and it's not like I guess my my broader point is this like no one's out to get USC with this scheduling I think that um this is the best example that all that I'll have if you have ever gone into call it for both 25 and tried to create a custom schedule for a conference.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_04]: you will understand how difficult it is to put together these schedules for 18 different teams.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_04]: And how nobody is being penalized, it's just a puzzle that they have to fit together in some way.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_04]: And they're trying to mitigate for everybody.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody gets to request specific things about what they do and don't want on their schedule.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_04]: Teams get to request not having back-to-back road games.
- 18:28[SPEAKER_04]: Teams get to request certain elements of when they want to play certain teams.
- 18:34[SPEAKER_04]: All of that kind of stuff.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_04]: It's not, this isn't a conspiracy or anything like that.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_04]: It's just the way that the schedule works out.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think that also you need to factor in the circumstance of SC schedule here.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_02]: If they would have known that Notre Dame was not going to be on the schedule the entire time, then they would have had a non-conference game scheduled at home in week three.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 19:02[SPEAKER_04]: And then they would have been playing, you know, Louisiana in week three.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_04]: And that would have been the game right before.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_02]: Let's talk about Week Zero because we got a super chat, which we appreciate.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_02]: Where's the...
- 19:32[SPEAKER_02]: There we go.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_02]: Hey.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you, Dan.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_02]: A question mark is going to be a tough game.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_02]: This, of course, referring to a question mark in Week Zero, SC's, 12th and final opponents.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_04]: question mark, you know, I'd say like that.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want me?
- 19:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_02]: That's low key slaps.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, look at me getting.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want me?
- 20:03[SPEAKER_02]: I think has aura.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_02]: Riz, if you will.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: So who's I seeking to play in in week zero?
- 20:12[SPEAKER_02]: These are the options.
- 20:14[SPEAKER_02]: You essentially have three buckets, three different categories of opponents that
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: There are three teams that need a 12th game and have weak zero open flat out.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_02]: That is, F-I-U, Jacksonville State, and Ohio.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_02]: Your Ohio bumpkins.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: F-I-U probably not going to be the team because they're probably going to fill their last spot with NFCS team.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_02]: So then you've got the Jacksonville State Game Cox or the Ohio Bobcats.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_02]: find options that could be added tomorrow and then everything is done.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_02]: The other bucket is
- 20:58[SPEAKER_02]: A list of teams that is playing at Hawaii this year, which means that they have the ability to schedule a 13th game.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_02]: There is the Hawaii role, which means that when you schedule Hawaii on the road and you have to travel to Oahu, you get the opportunity to have a 13th game to have another home game and recoup.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: Recoup the money from all the travel costs that you had to spend to go to Hawaii.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Is it antiquated?
- 21:31[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a little bit, but that's that's what it's always been right.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_02]: There's three teams who have scheduled Hawaii on the road that do not have 13 game scheduled right now, which means they have the ability to add a game and
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: Santa's a state, and you mess those three teams.
- 22:00[SPEAKER_02]: Mind you, I don't think you mass really counts here because they play at Rutgers the following Tuesday in week one.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: I have a really hard time seeing you mass agreeing to playing SC on the road and then turn around five days later and play at Rutgers.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I'm I'm going to strike through UMass just like I'm striking through FIU earlier.
- 22:26[SPEAKER_02]: So really there's four teams, Jacksonville State Ohio Air Force Sanders a stay centers a state a team the SD played in week zero back in 2023 so as he has a history there.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_02]: uh... then you've got the yet the the last option is sort of the wild card option which there's a possibility that he is waiting for the new packed twelve to decide what the hell they're going to do uh... they were maybe last week so if this if this came out last week then uh... maybe we just don't have it in the rundown but like they have
- 23:05[SPEAKER_02]: 8 teams in the new Peck 12, which means you have 7 conference opponents, right?
- 23:11[SPEAKER_02]: It's round robin you play everybody else, but that means that all those teams have an extra game to schedule because all those teams have 8 spots open on their schedule to be filled by conference games.
- 23:26[SPEAKER_02]: So if the conference has seven games, then Boise State, Colorado State, Oregon State, San Diego State, Texas State, Utah State, and Washington State, all the states, all of them need to fill their games.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_02]: And most likely, that means looking at S.C. or looking to Jacksonville State or Ohio Air Force, or standards XIX, any of those other teams that could potentially be open a week zero
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: The other option is that the pack 12 could choose to do a seven plus one where they play seven conference games and they play another conference opponent as a non-conference game, something that we saw on the ACC with Virginia last year against NC State and they lost that game, but it didn't count against for the ACC.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_02]: Remember that whole thing was weird.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_02]: conference game semi recently there were there were non-conference conference games in the big big 12 this year yeah these these last year happened it for logistical reasons or because games were scheduled and then realignment happened or whatever it is right so that's that's an option that they fill those games with essentially a home in home and the home in home team
- 24:53[SPEAKER_02]: doesn't count as a conference game for the record.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_04]: I just want to update here.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_04]: As of Saturday, Washington State's interim AD John Harlow had told coogfanned.com that they have not finalized a schedule that they are still weighing options and that they hope to have things finalized in the next couple of weeks, but
- 25:22[SPEAKER_04]: eight games seven games seven plus one or whatever.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: The last option is eight games where it's you play eight conference games, which is the seven plus one but they all count, right?
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: So like yeah, if you're the back 12, you play all seven teams and then
- 25:39[SPEAKER_02]: you play one of those themes twice and both of them count as conference games.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: Well, those are the three options that the Pac 12 has.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: So if the Pac 12 goes for only seven games and you've got to figure out the other one on your own, then SC could be a very good option for any of those teams.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_02]: Outside of that, I am putting all my monopoly money
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: That is a state weeks or just makes sense.
- 26:11[SPEAKER_04]: That's that's the thing is
- 26:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like, San Jose State makes so much sense that it kind of doesn't make sense that it's not already done, which is the biggest piece of evidence that USC is maybe waiting to see if they can get a Washington state or an Oregon state on the schedule.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 26:31[SPEAKER_04]: Because I think that there's an argument from a USC perspective that losing the Notre Dame game, obviously,
- 26:40[SPEAKER_04]: Alums will be happy with that.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, regardless of the politics of his fault, it was like, nobody wants to not have the spectacle of the norame game being played with Coliseum, and one way that USC can try to make that up to season ticket holders and the like,
- 26:55[SPEAKER_04]: is to schedule an ex-conference opponent that U.S.E.
- 27:01[SPEAKER_04]: was used to playing that will no longer play.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_04]: So, I mean, replacing Notre Dame with Oregon State or Washington State, I know it's not the same.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing's going to give the committee and the associates and all those cardinal gold club members, the vapors like playing Washington State.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, terms and fight in the chat mentions FCS.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_02]: That is the sort of the fourth option here, is that FC just gets an FCS opponent and put them in a week's error.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely viable.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_02]: I think if anything, that would be the easiest option, not in terms of necessarily in just in terms of, well,
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: difficulty but in terms of scheduling because then you don't have to worry about any of these things but also I haven't looked into how many FCS teams would even be available at that point.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure there's plenty because there's a lot of FCS teams that end up playing a D2 team.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: In their schedule, that's their version of playing an FCS team, right?
- 28:09[SPEAKER_02]: You just, everyone plays one game lower kind of deal.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: So that could be an option.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: I tend to agree that I think that the FCS streak is going to die.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: The non-FCS streak is going to die with the Notre Dame thing going away.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: And I think I've said before,
- 28:30[SPEAKER_02]: If it has to, obviously, I don't want to see the play NFCS team, but if they do, make it in a state opponent's more HPCU, which I think is cool that you see how I did that.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, you're like, you're like, you're like, that's an altruistic way to do it.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_02]: I think it makes sense.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: The other thing,
- 28:53[SPEAKER_02]: I would want nothing to do with the big sky or the Missouri Valley Conference team.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing to do with Montana.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: Now I agree if you're going to play an FCS team, play a team that you're going to, that is, is local is possible that you're going to fund their football program for the next two years.
- 29:16[SPEAKER_04]: Like, yeah.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's the way to do it.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_04]: That's the only reason I will not,
- 29:22[SPEAKER_04]: Blow a gasket when USC inevitably plays an FCS team because those games do fund a lot of programs and I'm okay with that.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and me say that I don't want ST to play North Dakota state or whatever.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_04]: No, but if you're going to play an FCS state, but if you're going to play an FCS team, don't play one of the good ones because you're not going to get any credit for beaten them and you're going to get that's the key.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're there's only negatives that can come from that game.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: for football viewing reasons.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_02]: I think I would have had that.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_02]: Facing one of those really good FCS teams with the polls.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_02]: I think would be, it would probably be a very interesting watch.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: I would argue that Montana, Montana State would give S.C. more trouble than a lot of FBS teams to S.C. Well, thanks.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: in the future.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_02]: But also, like you said, there is nothing to benefit from those things.
- 30:18[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing to gain.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:19[SPEAKER_02]: Nothing to gain.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_02]: You beat a really good FCS team by 17 and people are like, you only beat an FCS team by 17.
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: Can you imagine the P after that?
- 30:33[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, Lord.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, yeah, but that's a team that won 37 straight games.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 30:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_04]: Appalachian state, however, like that massive update upset of Michigan like that Appalachian state team, it's like had been really good and obviously they've come up to FBS since and, you know, proven that.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_04]: they were no joke, but still.
- 30:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, they were a big underdog.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 30:59[SPEAKER_02]: Big underdog.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, it's like the way I feel about Stanford, the 2007 Stanford, uh, upset of USC is like they also were a very big underdog at least here.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_04]: They were a very big underdog, but, uh, I'll let you, I'll let you get their Michael.
- 31:16[SPEAKER_04]: They were a very big underdog, but at least I can look at it and say, well, that was John Harba beginning his,
- 31:23[SPEAKER_04]: You know, Jim Harbaugh, beginning his meteoric rise.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_04]: So I got it with it.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_04]: I can't live with it, but I can live with it.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_02]: I think the Stanford game has aged better, but they feel still.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_02]: Like, right away, let's, let's be real.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: At least you underdog fantasy, my favorite daily fantasy app is where you should go for the big game, the big game coming up, ever heard of the big game.

- 32:29[SPEAKER_02]: You can also mix and match with different sports.
- 32:33[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of stuff going on this weekend in different sports.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: But this week I'm focused on the big game.
- 32:41[SPEAKER_02]: At least I'm going.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: Sam Donalds.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_02]: Higher than one and a half passing touchdowns.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_02]: Drake May.
- 32:52[SPEAKER_02]: Lower 37 and a half rushing yards and Cooper Cup higher 33 and a half receiving yards.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_04]: I think those Drake May rushing yards are going to be what hinges on this particular challenge for you.
- 33:10[SPEAKER_02]: It just seems a little high for the big game.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, would you win lower on that?
- 33:15[SPEAKER_04]: I don't lower.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, never mind.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_04]: That's, I think you, I think you should be okay there.
- 33:21[SPEAKER_02]: Higher and darn old, one and a half passing touchdowns.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_02]: Lower, Drake may 37 and half rush yards.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_02]: And higher, 33 and a half receiving yards for Cooper Cup.

- 34:33[SPEAKER_04]: Can we talk about the Super Bowl briefly?
- 34:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so we can talk about the Super Bowl now.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 34:44[SPEAKER_04]: I am current I'm almost done with but I've been working on an article of Ransite.com about the records in the Super Bowl and whether or not they could be broken.
- 34:54[SPEAKER_04]: And the one that I found to be the most surprising is can you guess what the record for most
- 35:05[SPEAKER_02]: Touchdown catches in a game in a in a in a big game There's always something weird it cuz there's been What's it 59 Superboles but like relatively that's a small sample size, right?
- 35:32[SPEAKER_02]: you're leaning, you're suggesting that it's one, but it's definitely not one.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_02]: So then it must be two.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's three.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_04]: It's three.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_04]: Jerry Rice.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_04]: Did it twice?
- 35:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:45[SPEAKER_04]: With three.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_04]: and no one else has uh... that makes sense has had three three touch on catches in a game which on one hand is like crazy because the record for touchdown passes in a game is like six and uh... uh... Tom Brady uh...
- 36:07[SPEAKER_04]: maybe it's five, but either way.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_04]: And the record for like rushing touchdowns in a game in a Super Bowl is three, which is actually held by Jalen Hurts by the way, Jalen Hurts and Hurts and Hurts and Hurts and Hurts.
- 36:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's hilarious.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_02]: I was gonna guess Marcus or Larry's on that.
- 36:27[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but like for some reason, I don't view three touchdowns like three touchdowns is a good game But like three touchdowns is like a wow you had an amazing game and it's wild to me that That like Jerry races is alone on that and I don't think so
- 36:46[SPEAKER_04]: no big no the the thing that's why was like there are a ton of guys who have had two there's a ton of guys who have had two and so like we're just like one play away from many of those guys having with you are you factor in there's been 59 games yeah and half of those were in an era where people ran 70% of the time yeah and I know that Jerry Rice
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: had those in the 80s, right?
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: And so like, you can was 90 and 95.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_02]: 90 and 95.
- 37:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: So it's 29 and 29 and 24.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_04]: Here's this is part of this is why I say this is wild because a receiver, a receiver full stop has had three touchdowns in any playoff game in the last five years, just once.
- 37:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's game not weird.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_04]: Game Davis had four with the bills.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_04]: So it's not weird.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_04]: But it's weird.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_04]: Like it's not weird.
- 37:51[SPEAKER_04]: But it's weird.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_04]: But like they're a game.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: 18.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: 18.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_02]: 18.
- 37:55[SPEAKER_04]: 18.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_04]: Why receivers have had two touchdown catches in a Super Bowl.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_02]: That makes sense.
- 38:03[SPEAKER_04]: But only one of those managed to go one more.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_04]: either way.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_04]: Can I also tell, I'm just, I'm not trying to spoil my article or anything like, just these are just really fun.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_04]: Can you name the four Super Bowl, like, I suppose they wouldn't be records, but like, statistical, like, Super Bowl happenings that have never happened before.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_04]: Like, you know, somebody has caught a touchdown pass.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody has had an interception.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody has never been a safety.
- 38:37[SPEAKER_04]: there has been a safety in every quarter but the third quarter.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_04]: So if there's a third quarter safety this year, that's the first third quarter safety in the history of this rule.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_04]: But there have been safety in the first second.
- 38:49[SPEAKER_04]: There's been a kick for turn.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_04]: There has been a kick return.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, there's no point.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_04]: There has never been a part or turn touchdown in this rule.
- 38:56[SPEAKER_02]: There's been multiple kick returns.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, there's been multiple, yes.
- 39:02[SPEAKER_02]: OK.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: The one of the other answers is in the similar vein of the one you already answered and at a block point.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_04]: And then the other two answers have to do with the scoreboard.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_02]: Is it the both teams have never both scored 30?
- 39:22[SPEAKER_04]: No.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_04]: It's that there has never been a Super Bowl where neither team scored a touchdown.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_04]: Well, that makes sense.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_04]: Again, it's it's not that common, but still.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 39:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mind you.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: It got close.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: A Super Bowl five.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: Super Bowl five.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: Not on the high list of great Super Bulls in terms of scoring.
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: Also, that Patriots Ram's one.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: Um yeah, yeah, I mean there's only been one over time game.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah So what looks the other thing?
- 40:02[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, so it's fumble return touchdown.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_04]: There has never been a There's never been a full score return for a touchdown and there has never been a wall.
- 40:10[SPEAKER_02]: What wasn't there one in the chiefs eagles game?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: A couple years ago Was there not one?
- 40:21[SPEAKER_04]: There was a fumble that was a safety
- 40:25[SPEAKER_04]: uh... care and so and then the last month that was in a perception uh... i do need to fact check this now because you have me i feel like there was one in the chiefs kid no you're right it was nick bolt in return to touch down okay so where did i get that then
- 40:49[SPEAKER_04]: tell you chat GPT doesn't know what's going on, the funny thing is that wasn't from chat GPT so I must have just read something wrong on this.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: As an NFL from Rob as a podcast would say chat GPT not canon.
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's fair.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_02]: That's true.
- 41:07[SPEAKER_02]: I'll review not canon.
- 41:08[SPEAKER_04]: Okay so the third the third of things is there has never been a shot out.
- 41:13[SPEAKER_04]: Every team that's played into rule has scored points.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: Again, that makes sense.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_02]: There's been a hundred and eighteen teams that have played.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: Never been shut up.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_04]: I think the one that is a surprise to me is the part return touchdown.
- 41:31[SPEAKER_04]: I know part returns are rare, but like kickoff returns are also kind of rare, and we've had many of those, and sort of I wouldn't have guessed that part return touchdown had never happened.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: there's fewer punt returns than kick returns.
- 41:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: By a good margin.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: So I think that that would factor into it too.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: Anyways, let's get back to the schedule.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_02]: I can more about SC's schedule.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Pull up the graphic again here if you're watching on YouTube.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: One of the questions that has been asked are Fred and Kenny as brought up the idea of like what happens with homecoming.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: Because ideally, I think you'd want homecoming to be against Maryland, but the problem with that is that Maryland is senior day.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think you'd do senior day in Maryland, senior day in homecoming the same day.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and so homecoming usually would suggest the one before then, that's Ohio State.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: Do you want homecoming then?
- 42:46[SPEAKER_02]: Because if not, then the week before is Washington.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_02]: And that's way early on in the season.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, October 3rd, you're, you're homecoming in October 3rd feels crazy.
- 43:01[SPEAKER_02]: So this is because S.C. schedule is so.
- 43:05[SPEAKER_02]: forward with home Gibbs s will be home in we zero one two four and five.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: After week when week five ends s will have played five home Gibbs.
- 43:20[SPEAKER_02]: Which is crazy, but that's because we zero excess.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_04]: So the thing about, like, Roman Murdy says homecoming Ohio State, it's probably what happens.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_04]: It's probably what happens.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_04]: But also, like, that's the, if I'm USC, I don't want to have homecoming when Ohio State is coming to town when you're not going to struggle to sell tickets or anything to that.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's on Halloween, a Saturday Halloween, like, I, I think my heart take here is, and maybe this is,
- 43:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know that homecoming has the same cash aid that it did before.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I mean, we don't go to homecoming, so.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, this would be my best be at us, thank you.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, this could be a first first person energy here.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, main character syndrome, going on, absolutely.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: But I guess the point I'm making is like,
- 44:22[SPEAKER_02]: that you play a cream puff home kind of like that's when you put your home coming like that is not like hard and fast rule anymore that that is not a thing like um in part because you only have so many times because you remember you've got senior day you've got homecoming you've got parents weekend you've
- 44:50[SPEAKER_02]: uh... waste management zero net zero whatever bullshit day you've got uh... it's armed forces game you've got whatever other game you want to have like all these other things that you have to i think it was in the start and put labels on games just for the the help of it uh...
- 45:13[SPEAKER_04]: But, I mean, I'm with you in the sense of like, homecoming isn't a big deal to me.
- 45:20[SPEAKER_04]: My understanding of homecoming is the reason it gets put on the tends to get put on the like, the Cupcakey games is because more people come to homecoming, just because it's homecoming.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_04]: And so it's a game where you don't, where like people are coming because it's homecoming and it doesn't matter your opponent.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_04]: So you wouldn't want to waste in Ohio State, which is a draw.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_04]: homecoming because people are going to come anyways but if you want to do homecoming in the second half of the season you literally only have you can either double up home coming in senior day or you can do homecoming out of high estate so yeah I don't I'm actually kind of curious how they make this decision maybe it's just an easy decision it stays whatever Ohio State is homecoming I mean homecoming in senior day would be fine but I just don't think
- 46:09[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that works.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that works because all the senior day festivities that they got to do.
- 46:15[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if they could do that with home.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if I'll have time to go through this enough, but like I'm looking at the media guide.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_04]: Do they have a list of homecoming games?
- 46:25[SPEAKER_04]: Well, they have the all time schedule and I'm pretty sure they designate which one is was homecoming.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_02]: All right, but yeah, you look at SC is, we talk about the three game strengths, Oregon, Washington, Penn State.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_02]: I said this in Discord, in our Discord, if you could always join our Discord, become a member of the channel to enter Discord.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of great people over there.
- 46:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's a
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: I would say the SC schedule is weird in the sense that like you're going to start the game the season 3 and 0 right you're playing 3 group of 5 teams you should win all of those games, group of 6 whatever, you should win all of those games.
- 47:21[SPEAKER_02]: you go on the road at Rutgers.
- 47:24[SPEAKER_02]: And I know that SE historically has struggled in conference road openers, and SE has struggled on the road in the eastern time zone, all those things.
- 47:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, I absolutely.
- 47:41[SPEAKER_02]: At the same point, if SE is anywhere as good as you think that they can be,
- 47:47[SPEAKER_02]: They should be record.
- 47:49[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I think the example has to be Purdue.
- 47:51[SPEAKER_04]: Like, the, yeah, Rutgers is the Purdue of this, this past season.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_04]: And USC was sloppy in that game for sure, but they won relatively comfortably.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_04]: It should be the same situation with Rutgers.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, you might not blow them out, but like, you should win the game, right?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_02]: You should win the game.
- 48:09[SPEAKER_02]: And you go for no into the Oregon, Washington, Penn State stretch.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: This to me is such a ginormous stretch here, because if there's a way that you can get to the by week, six and one, I think anything is possible.
- 48:32[SPEAKER_02]: Anything is possible in the season.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe that's, and six and one might be chalk, by the way.
- 48:41[SPEAKER_02]: given that I think S.C. very realistically could be favored against Washington and Penn State, but not Oregon, and so six and one could be chalk.
- 48:54[SPEAKER_02]: If you go six and one, anything's possible.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_04]: anything's possible.
- 49:02[SPEAKER_04]: In the sense of like if if you're six and one, you look at that second half of the season and there are probably two losses so on the table, but they're not guaranteed losses, at least from where we're sitting right now.
- 49:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 49:20[SPEAKER_02]: But if you go six and one in those first
- 49:27[SPEAKER_02]: Two of three things.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_02]: You've proven that you could beat Oregon potentially, one of the three things.
- 49:34[SPEAKER_02]: You've proven that you can take care of business against the team that is very near your level at home.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_02]: Similarly to what S.E.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_02]: did last year, I was in Washington.
- 49:44[SPEAKER_02]: I think I won Washington are very similar in the sense of like, it's a top 20 team that could beat you, but also if you are as good as you want to be, at home, you should be able to beat them.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_02]: and you should be able to pass a test, right?
- 50:01[SPEAKER_02]: You go 61, odds are you've passed that test.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_02]: And then the other one is sort of the same sort of test which is, can you go into a hostile environment like Happy Valley?
- 50:17[SPEAKER_02]: Why out conditions more than likely, all that kind of stuff?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: And win a game.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_02]: And Penn State might not be what they were two years ago.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_02]: but it's a game in the eastern time zone.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_02]: In the middle of absolute nowhere with a hundred thousand people screaming and wearing oversized white t-shirts, that is a very difficult place to play.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_02]: So like if you go six and one, you have proved two of three things right, a true that you can take care of business at home, take care of business on the road or beating Oregon.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_02]: and solving two of those things in the first six games, it's first seven games, fantastic starts to the season.
- 51:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, the group side is what if you somehow go four and three into the by-week, everything is possible the other direction.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_02]: Because like, if you lose against Rutgers, then anything is possible negatively.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: If you lose to Oregon and don't respond to Washington in the following week, then you're not going to feel good going on the road to Penn State the week after at all.
- 51:43[SPEAKER_02]: and everything can sort of collapse it on itself that way.
- 51:47[SPEAKER_02]: Like this schedule, I think it's so interesting in that I think it's a momentum-based schedule.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_02]: And in part because there's so many home games and there's tough opponents back to back.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_02]: And so if you, it seems like a domino schedule, that makes sense.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_04]: where if you sort of knock the first one over like beating organ, you you sort of roll through the next three.
- 52:17[SPEAKER_02]: If you've been organ, absolutely, you think you should roll through the next ones.
- 52:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yeah, if you lose to organ, absolutely, you think you're going to lose the next two.
- 52:27[SPEAKER_04]: Well, it depends on how you lose story.
- 52:29[SPEAKER_04]: If you get up so now by organ, I'm looking at Washington and going, well, anything can happen.
- 52:34[SPEAKER_04]: If you play organ close, you know, I think it sort of changes the way that you look at things.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_04]: But I just have a heart, I agree with you that like, there's like there's definitely points of momentum for this schedule.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_04]: which stretches will actually be the toughest stretch.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_04]: Unless the obvious one is just what it is, and it's the Rutgers Oregon, Washington, Penn State situation.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_02]: Mm-hmm.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: Then there's a world in which it's the last three.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_02]: And there is, sort of.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_02]: It seems crazy.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: Indiana, Maryland, and UCLA, but like, if you see like it's lightning in a bottle with another DMU coach,
- 53:27[SPEAKER_02]: Not that it's going to work just like Sickenere or whatever, but like you know what I mean like if they're in proved team I like that higher for them.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, yeah, and like yeah and Maryland I think is the Maryland as a quarterback now, so Maryland is the the game that I think is the most overlooked on this entire schedule.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_04]: Oh yeah, that's it.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: That's it.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_02]: Look ahead.
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I feel like you have to account for, okay, don't stub your toe here, right?
- 54:04[SPEAKER_02]: Because Wisconsin is A after a by week and B, it's Wisconsin.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_02]: Can't handle, again, you have to be mentally aware.
- 54:14[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think that that's a game that you overlook.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_02]: The Maryland game though?
- 54:23[SPEAKER_02]: That's the one that could worry me.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_02]: But then again, as he plays well at home.
- 54:27[SPEAKER_02]: So, you know, and I know.
- 54:29[SPEAKER_02]: Ron Murdy of the chat says that I don't want to assume Oregon and Ohio State are losses already.
- 54:35[SPEAKER_02]: This is the thing that I think I said before.
- 54:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think I should have put it before.
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: As it stands right now, if we're going purely chalk, then Oregon, Indiana and Ohio State.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_02]: Probably your three losses and this is and if SC goes chalk it's 9 and 3 just like it was this past season.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_02]: However I've said this before given that they get organ Washington and Ohio State at home.
- 55:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think they can and given how SC plays better at home and given how SC plays better in big games
- 55:15[SPEAKER_02]: Um, and they don't, they don't win those games a lot of time and the Notre Dame game and the Oregon game like you can, you can squint and say that they're remote well, Notre Dame they literally led the, led in the, the second half, but They, they don't get blown out in those games, especially at home, you look back at 2020, uh,
- 55:38[SPEAKER_02]: four against Penn State and Notre Dame.
- 55:41[SPEAKER_02]: Two games that one of them, they should have won, and another one that they could have potentially won.
- 55:48[SPEAKER_02]: Like, if you need to win one of those two in Oregon or Ohio State, and I think you can do it at home.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it should be a foregone conclusion that both of those are losses.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not gonna sit here and be naive and think that S.C. should just hold serve at home
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: and I'm not gonna be wouldn't be naive to say that SC could do, do them in on the road.
- 56:17[SPEAKER_02]: But at home, if you are taking a step forward, you're bringing in really good freshmen, you feel better about your quarterback and you've got two good running backs back and all these things, I think you should feel that you can win one of those.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_04]: If not both, I mean, yeah.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_04]: This is why people end up calling me negative because I sit here in February and I look at what USC brings back and I say, if USC is following a process of improvement, then with the things that USC is bringing back, you should be expecting to go in having more than a puncher's chance in those games, at least the ones that are at home.
- 57:11[SPEAKER_04]: And you shouldn't be looking at organ as some unbeatable team.
- 57:17[SPEAKER_04]: Because they're not.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_04]: They're a very, very good team.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_04]: They're a well-drilled team.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_04]: They have a really good quarterback coming back.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_04]: And they've got some big names coming back as well in the trenches.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_04]: But they're a team that has not been able to get over the hump.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_04]: They are a team that
- 57:35[SPEAKER_04]: hasn't been able to to find that juice themselves and and and like in that sense why couldn't be the U.S.C.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_04]: be the one to to spoil their parade.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_04]: At the Colosseum.
- 57:47[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I think you should be looking at it perfectly.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's possibly when you look at how teams in the big ten have faired on the road.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_02]: and it's different for Oregon than it is Ohio State given the time change and all that kind of stuff.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_02]: Also, Ohio State is the one team that hasn't really faltered on the road.
- 58:07[SPEAKER_02]: SCB to Michigan team that
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: did not give their best performance when I see beat them in October, but they soundly beat them and it was a team that I think Michigan faired that way in part because they were on the road.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_02]: Right, but Ohio State has since they've joined the conference has been really good on the road.
- 58:27[SPEAKER_02]: They beat Washington pretty soundly.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: They lost Oregon in a coin flip game year to half ago now, but
- 58:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think that SC is closer to a national championship than Oregon or Ohio State, but in a one-off game at home, I think you should be able to feel like you absolutely have a punch of chance.
- 58:53[SPEAKER_02]: Now, on the flip side, the Indiana game, on the road, is just an automatic loss, right?
- 59:01[SPEAKER_04]: as who was it that somebody said that in the chat like uh... i like i don't in the internet i can imagine them losing until to anybody
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: until until I see it happen to me.
- 59:14[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, it was West Texas, Mike said, you have to count on Lincoln Riley, out coaching the greatest coach in the history of the country for all on the road.
- 59:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I, and that one, the only, the only semblance of hope that I think USC has in that one is we just don't know what this, the, the, the 2026 edition of Indiana will be.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think that having signetti back and knowing what he,
- 59:40[SPEAKER_04]: the way that he prepares his teams and the way he scouts talent, I don't expect them to take a huge step back, but you know, they might not be the juggernaut they were this past season.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know, maybe, but we will know.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_04]: I think we will know what we will definitely know because the Ohio State Noreen games will have passed by, but like the week of that by week, we will know exactly whether or not that's an auto loss.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_01]: I think we know now.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_04]: I'm leaving the door open.
- 1:00:13[SPEAKER_04]: They lose a lot of guys.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_04]: They lose a lot of
- 1:00:19[SPEAKER_02]: we're going into year three of Signetti in Indiana, which year had the most question marks.
- 1:00:29[SPEAKER_02]: The year in which it was his first year and Indiana is historically terrible for a good.
- 1:00:38[SPEAKER_02]: That one, the year in which they made the playoff, but they lost against the only two teams of what the polls that
- 1:00:48[SPEAKER_02]: or the year in which kind of sucks they got to replace some national championship guys.
- 1:00:55[SPEAKER_02]: Like there's the fewest amount of questions about this team.
- 1:00:58[SPEAKER_02]: I this year than the previous two and the previous two and they have proven that any question was stupid.
- 1:01:04[SPEAKER_04]: I disagree in the sense that like this past season,
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_04]: was the perfect amalgamation of like a team that had played together before and was also uber veteran.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_04]: Sure.
- 1:01:16[SPEAKER_04]: And this coming team is going to have more transfers than they had before, at least more unconnected transfers.
- 1:01:24[SPEAKER_04]: And we'll have lost a lot of their veteran leadership.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_04]: So again, I'm not saying Indiana's going to fall off a cliff.
- 1:01:29[SPEAKER_04]: I just think there's a, there's a tiny possibility that maybe Indiana will lose one game next year.
- 1:01:38[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yes, they will have more elite talent this year because they've gotten some really good transfers.
- 1:01:45[SPEAKER_02]: But, yeah, but by gettingverts and frimpong and Kirk as, you know, they've really changed a lot of stuff.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, when you, when you upend your entire lineup, it takes a while for guys to get to get settled back in.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, that's a perfect example, Michael, thank you.
- 1:02:03[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I have an update on those like your teams that were like super star teams that well, the ones like Gary Peyton and all those like there was super teams The finals that you made the fact they didn't know I'm talking about the one that had Steve Nash on it.
- 1:02:14[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah They didn't make the play out.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm just yeah, it just it happens.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_04]: It happens a lot.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't update on the homecoming question.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_04]: So I realized why USC has been so consistent with homecomings over the last
- 1:02:31[SPEAKER_04]: Basically, I went back to 2000, USC's home.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: One of the issues I think.
- 1:02:37[SPEAKER_04]: Less about who they're playing, but like when they're playing.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_04]: USC has never had a question about homecoming or senior day, because USC has finished the season at home every season, forever, because either they're hosting Notre Dame, or more.
- 1:02:57[SPEAKER_04]: they are uh... hosting you silly that's a good point so the the question of homecoming has always been homecoming is simply the second to last home game of the season
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_02]: That's a that's a really good point.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_04]: Now I will point out that the earliest that homecoming has ever been in as far back as I looked which was 1999 was October 18th that was in 2004, USC played Colorado and that was because the second to last home game of the season that year was against Cal on a Thursday night.
- 1:03:36[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, I think it is, we can basically lock in Ohio State as hope coming.
- 1:03:45[SPEAKER_02]: OK. Yeah, I, I will say the,
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_02]: the alternating SC Notre Dame SC UCLA rivalries where SC plays that rivalry game at home on Thanksgiving week every year.
- 1:04:05[SPEAKER_02]: I think it yeah absolutely has made the thing a little bit easier.
- 1:04:08[SPEAKER_02]: There have been years in which SC is not finished the season against UCLA or Notre Dame and there have been years in which SC is not finished the season at home but when they finished the
- 1:04:21[SPEAKER_02]: At the Rose Bowl, when they moved the SUC leg into December to compete against the SEC Championship or beyond championship weekend, and they did that in the late 2000s, it was still the same thing.
- 1:04:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_02]: You still play Notre Dame the week before.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_02]: Um, or you played UCLA in December to end it, right?
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_04]: Um, and so it's just a 90% of the time, it's just the second to last home game of the season.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_02]: And then the years in which like, how about a 20, a 2021 and 1999, where SC played somebody else to end the season?
- 1:05:17[SPEAKER_02]: Like, what was the homecoming in 1999?
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_02]: Because it wouldn't have been the reason to attack, and it wouldn't have been UCLA.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_02]: So would it have been the game before that?
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_04]: Second, because I, of course, I closed the thing.
- 1:05:32[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, bu bu bu bu bu bu.
- 1:05:34[SPEAKER_04]: You were last about 1999?
- 1:05:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 1:05:40[SPEAKER_02]: Now we're going to find it.
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_02]: The the Louisiana Tech game on Black Friday, which John Fox proposed to his girlfriend on the sideline after the win against Timbertay.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, 1999 homecoming was November six against Arizona State.
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_04]: Is that the end of Davis game?
- 1:05:59[SPEAKER_04]: That was the third to last.
- 1:06:00[SPEAKER_04]: I think that is the end of the season.
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know, in a scoop and score?
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_04]: Hell of I know, but they finished the season away to Washington State then UCLA and then Louisiana Tech.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_04]: So it was the second to last home game, but it seems that they made the choice to not have homecoming be UCLA.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_02]: because the Louisiana Tech game was basically just looking at an add-on there.
- 1:06:27[SPEAKER_02]: They didn't play at Hawaii, they played at Hawaii 98.
- 1:06:31[SPEAKER_02]: So why would they have played Louisiana Tech then?
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't like a hurricane reschedule.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 1:06:42[SPEAKER_04]: Um, it doesn't say anything here about, uh, about that.
- 1:06:49[SPEAKER_02]: But uh, and then when I see played BYU in 2021, it still would have been the game before you see it like, right?
- 1:07:00[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, 1997 USC played their last two home games where UCLA and Stanford.
- 1:07:06[SPEAKER_04]: So they didn't do homecoming for Stanford.
- 1:07:07[SPEAKER_04]: They did it against Oregon on October 25th.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_02]: So there is precedence for them.
- 1:07:15[SPEAKER_02]: 97, the last home game was against Stanford?
- 1:07:18[SPEAKER_04]: No, against UCLA.
- 1:07:19[SPEAKER_04]: It was Stanford and then UCLA.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_02]: OK, I was going to say, I see leases that UCLA game was 27, 21.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_02]: 31, 24.
- 1:07:29[SPEAKER_02]: 31, 2.
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_02]: OK. Anyways, what's next is Mike says, you can't eat that game or toe and low, but don't snap the ball over DT Daniels
- 1:07:44[SPEAKER_02]: was a homecoming game, 28 to good times, 28 to, all right, at least we got anything in the mail bag you want to go.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think we've gotten any mail.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, have we gotten any mail, Michael?
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_04]: I probably should have looked.
- 1:08:09[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I keep track and I put it in my, oh, you know, what the Michael?
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_04]: We wouldn't have been getting the sported to us.
- 1:08:20[SPEAKER_01]: That's fair.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:08:22[SPEAKER_04]: Apologies, if you've sent us an email, if you sent us an email over the last couple of weeks, there's a chance those didn't get forwarded to us.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_04]: So for a very good reason, so if you have an answer to your question or anything, feel free to maybe resend that email so that maybe it gets back to us.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, Texas makes this why was SE's 2021 schedule.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_02]: So, uh, f up with BYU and Cal.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_02]: The Cal was a COVID reschedule.
- 1:08:55[SPEAKER_02]: The BYU game was they had, they had inked a two for one with BYU, where SE was going to, oh, weren't they supposed to play BYU in 2020?
- 1:09:09[SPEAKER_04]: 2023.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_02]: It was supposed to be 2020 because they played them in 2019.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, 1921 and 23 and the 23 was supposed to also be Thanksgiving week and then that game got filled remember that game got filled by was that the UC Davis game and then they then they replaced it.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_04]: the twenty twenty three twenty three that sounds right they got replaced with uh... well u.s.e.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_04]: state sent us a state novat uh... and nother in here yeah
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, but yeah, it was a two-for-one deal that BYU, you have to remember BYU was independent at the time.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_02]: And so they had a hell of a time finding anyone to schedule games in November.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_02]: Um, extremely difficult for, this is why they jumped on another room.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:10:12[SPEAKER_02]: And so this is why they jumped on the other name thing, even though they're, they're, they don't know.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:18[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_04]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:21[SPEAKER_04]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_04]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_04]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:24[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:26[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:28[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:29[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:30[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:32[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_02]: They're in a comfort zone.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_04]: for the twenty twenty one season is so depressing uh... the the last four little icons here are organ states first win over u.s.e.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_04]: in the column since nineteen nineteen sixteen u.s.s.
- 1:10:49[SPEAKER_04]: first home loss to you to us since nineteen sixteen u.s.a.s.
- 1:10:52[SPEAKER_04]: most points in the series tied for them at most ever supporting every week of the college you see first loss to cal in burglies in two thousand three uh... lowest attendance at u.s.c.
- 1:11:01[SPEAKER_04]: cal since two thousand one like
- 1:11:04[SPEAKER_02]: That was a terrible season.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, although I I think it back about the Utah wedding at the call.
- 1:11:10[SPEAKER_02]: I believe they beat UCLA at the Colosseum but not SC at the Colosseum.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_04]: USC is first home loss to Utah since 2016.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_04]: Correct.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_04]: Utah's most points versus USC.
- 1:11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but I believe you tried to beat UCLA at the Colosseum because
- 1:11:31[SPEAKER_02]: If you if you're new around here, you see I used to play at the Coliseum until 1981.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_02]: Which is still like crazy how late this it blows my mind that the bears didn't play in soldier field until 72 and it blows my mind that you see I didn't play at the Rose Bowl until 82 and it blows my mind that Alabama didn't play in Tuscaloos until 92.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, well, they did play in Tuscaloer, but they didn't play in Tuscaloer, you know.
- 1:12:04[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, here's the one good thing about that we're all commiserating about the 2021 season being so terrible.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:12:12[SPEAKER_04]: That was the first season that USC brought back beer and wine to the Colosseum.
- 1:12:16[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, at least, at least people were helped.
- 1:12:26[SPEAKER_02]: with that.
- 1:12:28[SPEAKER_02]: I would collect double checking that Alabama started playing home games again in Tuscaloos and in 92.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's something like that.
- 1:12:38[SPEAKER_02]: Is it 92?
- 1:12:39[SPEAKER_02]: I think 97 was the first Iron Bowl that wasn't in Burmine.
- 1:12:50[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know why I'm not.
- 1:12:52[SPEAKER_02]: I am nobody
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_02]: I, I, I deeply care, uh, hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on hold on
- 1:13:14[SPEAKER_04]: you want me to share a just a fun fact about the 2023 season sure the y'all remember when when which game was this it's referring back to the cow game in 2023 when the game the start of the game had to be delayed because of a protest on the field and uh
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_04]: That was the game where they came back from halftime and realized that USC should have had one second left on the clock at the end of the half.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_04]: And so they put one second on the clock and had USC take a field goal that they missed.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_04]: But that was then then they started the third quarter.
- 1:13:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:13:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that was fun.
- 1:13:53[SPEAKER_02]: That was, you know, trying to say like the magnitude was when an Auburn first came to Alabama.
- 1:14:02[SPEAKER_02]: 89 was the first
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:14:07[SPEAKER_02]: That makes sense.
- 1:14:08[SPEAKER_02]: Apparently Legion fields hosted Alabama home games until 2003.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_02]: But I believe it was like one game a year at the end.
- 1:14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Which again, crazy.
- 1:14:21[SPEAKER_02]: Like this is one of those things where if you're new to college football, like your mind just can't comprehend this.
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_02]: What do you mean?
- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_02]: Organ and Oregon State didn't play in Corvallison and Austin until like the AES?
- 1:14:37[SPEAKER_02]: But rather a game used to be important.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:14:40[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, rather murder yes, will we be playing UCLA at the Rose Bowl or so if I according to Kenny, who I trust, uh, the UCLA, like, ticket office sent out, uh, stuff to their ticket holders that seemed to imply if not, uh, if not, like, stayed out right, that the game will be a Rose Bowl, not so far.
- 1:15:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, um, we're gonna wrap it up there.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, again, we are going on.
- 1:15:08[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, I hate us.
- 1:15:10[SPEAKER_02]: We are moving.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_02]: It is going to be a crazy, next couple of months for us.
- 1:15:17[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of stuff going on.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_04]: We will.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_04]: We will.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_04]: We will hop in with content if something arises that, uh, the reason arises.
- 1:15:29[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, if something comes
- 1:15:32[SPEAKER_04]: But like part of the reason we're doing this because like our podcast stuff will probably be going in boxes at some point in the near future so Yes
- 1:15:41[SPEAKER_02]: Alright, we love you guys, we appreciate you guys, we'll be on Discord.
- 1:15:48[SPEAKER_02]: Um, like we always are, um, and hopefully we can fill in some stuff maybe over there, uh, in a white manner, if you will.
- 1:15:58[SPEAKER_02]: So, um, my sexist mixes, you people who are already on hi-
- 1:16:04[SPEAKER_04]: But this is literally why I brought up the hiatus thing because I know our patterns.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_04]: I know what's happened in the past when we've been dealing with stuff that is semi-outside of our control, like family stuff, and when stuff starts to get crazy, we tend to just stop podcasting anyways because we just either don't have bandwidth or don't have time or anything like that.
- 1:16:25[SPEAKER_04]: So it's just this time we're simply warning you guys that we are in one such whirlwind.
- 1:16:31[SPEAKER_04]: And that instead of just ghosting you, we're gonna take a hideous.
- 1:16:35[SPEAKER_02]: I still think it's crazy that like, we'll get a negative review on like Apple Podcasts, right?
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_02]: Every now and then, and a lot of them have a point, right?
- 1:16:46[SPEAKER_02]: But we've never got the ones that I would give.
- 1:16:50[SPEAKER_02]: Like the negative reviews that I would give, which are...
- 1:16:54[SPEAKER_02]: These guys don't post the podcast at the same exact time every week.
- 1:16:59[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it is funny.
- 1:17:02[SPEAKER_04]: We're very hypocrite because yeah, I get very frustrated when like YouTube videos that I expect to come around at a certain time every week or like notifications for whatever they
- 1:17:15[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, but we are very, very, very, not on top of a schedule.
- 1:17:20[SPEAKER_02]: Smith's Griff in the, in the chat says, no, I finally made it.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's over.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's not over yet.
- 1:17:26[SPEAKER_02]: We're still going.
- 1:17:27[SPEAKER_02]: Smith's name a continent.
- 1:17:29[SPEAKER_02]: It's not a state.
- 1:17:30[SPEAKER_02]: Name a US state and we'll write a lot of cities.
- 1:17:33[SPEAKER_04]: High Sean from beautiful Austin, Texas.
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_02]: Remember when we did that with like two episodes like a year ago and it was so freaking fun.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, nobody nobody like it Nobody I don't think anyone really liked it that no one's like Tennessee and then we just start going out German town or whatever it is, you know what I mean?
- 1:17:53[SPEAKER_04]: I was telling somebody about the game that we played with the video game friends where I would love to play this game.
- 1:18:01[SPEAKER_04]: The problem is like that number one, my memory is terrible and I would be terrible at this game doing the USC football theme so we need to find somebody else who wants to do it with you.
- 1:18:11[SPEAKER_02]: I am a theme for
- 1:18:19[SPEAKER_02]: Jam, baseball, John Boy Media, baseball, videos on YouTube that they play a bunch of games.
- 1:18:24[SPEAKER_02]: They're so freaking good, so many of those games are genius.
- 1:18:28[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of them are like, you know, non-original concepts that they've made original in their own way or whatever, but they have a game that's called pinpoint, the pinpoint challenge that is incredible.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_02]: You need to go watch it, it is so good.
- 1:18:48[SPEAKER_02]: You're just naming some dudes, right?
- 1:18:51[SPEAKER_02]: But you get points, so, okay, for instance, you're gonna name the 100, the top 100 players, you're gonna go back and forth, naming the players with the 100 most USC touchdowns of all time, right?
- 1:19:06[SPEAKER_02]: But you get one point for saying Lendale White.
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_02]: And you can run the lights for saying Dominic Davis if Dominic Davis is the 100th person, you know what I mean?
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:19:18[SPEAKER_02]: And so like it's and you only get three strikes, three strikes and you're out.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_02]: So like it becomes this game of like three strikes or anyone outside of the 100.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, anyone out of the 100.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_02]: So like it becomes this game you're like, I think he's in the top 100.
- 1:19:36[SPEAKER_02]: But I don't know, and okay, I'm just going to save my internet.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 1:19:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, you just got to stay alive at some point.
- 1:19:46[SPEAKER_02]: All right, shall we be able to ask some Texas says, Maine, okay, this is, you might have picked the worst one to do.
- 1:19:56[SPEAKER_02]: Maine, okay, Bangor, Augusta, Portland,
- 1:20:06[SPEAKER_02]: What's the something heart, Bay Harbor?
- 1:20:09[SPEAKER_02]: Is that it?
- 1:20:09[SPEAKER_02]: Bay Harbor, Maine?
- 1:20:14[SPEAKER_04]: The only thing I know about Maine is that there's a Portland there.
- 1:20:19[SPEAKER_02]: There is, and in Augusta, oh my god, this is, okay, find out that he says New Mexico, okay.
- 1:20:27[SPEAKER_02]: Albert Curkey is obviously the, obviously the, obviously answer.
- 1:20:33[SPEAKER_02]: New Mexico, less cruisess.
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_02]: Roswell, Santa Fe, why am I struggling, what is a, what is a, what is a suburb, what is it?
- 1:20:52[SPEAKER_04]: okay this is embarrassing can i get you can i get you back on track with something u.s.e.
- 1:20:56[SPEAKER_04]: related yes one of the other realms of playing this uh uh uh uh with playing this kind of with a u.s.e.
- 1:21:04[SPEAKER_04]: lends is that if we try to do the top the 100 uh like players who are ever thrown a touchdown pass for u.s.e.
- 1:21:12[SPEAKER_04]: there are exactly 105 players full stop it wouldn't matter throw in a touchdown pass for u.s.e.
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_04]: so we'd have to adjust it to be
- 1:21:21[SPEAKER_04]: Which would make it go faster, maybe?
- 1:21:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 1:21:24[SPEAKER_04]: Who is the 25th, who's 25th in touchdown passes all the time at USC?
- 1:21:28[SPEAKER_04]: 25th?
- 1:21:29[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 1:21:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's...
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait
- 1:21:50[SPEAKER_04]: My spelling is name wrong.
- 1:21:53[SPEAKER_04]: 12.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_04]: He's 12, okay.
- 1:21:56[SPEAKER_04]: Marinavitch.
- 1:21:59[SPEAKER_04]: 17th.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_04]: Also, CFP reference for call, C, the call is for ball reference.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_04]: Doesn't order them the right way like baseball does.
- 1:22:10[SPEAKER_04]: So like, they're all just one through 100 and they're not separated by total.
- 1:22:15[SPEAKER_02]: So we're just going, okay.
- 1:22:21[SPEAKER_02]: Reinhardt to 17th.
- 1:22:22[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, uh, to me Jones.
- 1:22:26[SPEAKER_04]: Jimmy Jones looks like it's gonna be a strike.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's a strike.
- 1:22:31[SPEAKER_04]: See him.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_04]: Hold on.
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, there is.
- 1:22:34[SPEAKER_04]: Again, I'm blind.
- 1:22:36[SPEAKER_04]: 16 16.
- 1:22:38[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 1:22:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:22:41[SPEAKER_04]: Mike Ray.
- 1:22:44[SPEAKER_04]: And this is why I just do search, because, uh, oof, no, no, that's a hit.
- 1:22:51[SPEAKER_04]: That's the way he?
- 1:22:52[SPEAKER_04]: He, well, okay, he is 26, but he is one of the four quarterbacks whose tie with the person who is in 25.
- 1:23:01[SPEAKER_04]: So we're gonna count them as the 25.
- 1:23:03[SPEAKER_02]: How many touchdown passes did you have?
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_02]: 15.
- 1:23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, 15.
- 1:23:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so it's 15 or more touchdown passes.
- 1:23:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, 15 or more touchdown passes.
- 1:23:10[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so that means that Jackson Dart is not gonna qualify.
- 1:23:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's correct.
- 1:23:15[SPEAKER_02]: That also means that Matt think would not qualify.
- 1:23:20[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, that's good.
- 1:23:21[SPEAKER_02]: A 5-5-door-head nine.
- 1:23:25[SPEAKER_02]: Could out cow war holds qualified.
- 1:23:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's get kinky cow war holds.
- 1:23:32[SPEAKER_04]: He had 13.
- 1:23:32[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, he's it's first drink.
- 1:23:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:23:36[SPEAKER_02]: How about salesbury?
- 1:23:38[SPEAKER_02]: Sean salesbury probably just under.
- 1:23:41[SPEAKER_04]: uh... he is he had twenty five okay uh... nineteen dollars
- 1:23:58[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, this is hard because I think you just go through everybody, right?
- 1:24:02[SPEAKER_02]: So like, um, you just go backwards, um, uh, my avas on the list 13th.
- 1:24:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:24:14[SPEAKER_02]: Miller.
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_02]: I think Miller's probably on the list.
- 1:24:26[SPEAKER_02]: is on.
- 1:24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Miller Moss 18th.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_02]: 27.
- 1:24:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:24:30[SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah.
- 1:24:31[SPEAKER_02]: And then, so then you keep going backwards.
- 1:24:35[SPEAKER_02]: Caleb's on it.
- 1:24:36[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously, yes.
- 1:24:37[SPEAKER_02]: Dart is not a slow.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_02]: It is slow.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_02]: It is slow.
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:40[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:41[UNKNOWN]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:44[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:47[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:48[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's a slow.
- 1:24:50[SPEAKER_02]: bang on he is number 25 with 15.
- 1:24:52[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was going to be really close.
- 1:24:55[SPEAKER_02]: Um, yeah, then obviously Darnell yes, obviously Brown.
- 1:25:00[SPEAKER_02]: No, castler.
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, with it.
- 1:25:04[SPEAKER_02]: With it.
- 1:25:11[SPEAKER_02]: No,
- 1:25:19[SPEAKER_02]: Liner, yes, Paul Mer, yes, John Fox, I'm gonna say, oh God, I'm gonna say no, I'm gonna say yes on Mike Van Rapport.
- 1:25:46[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, how do you want me to adjudicate John Fox, if you are you just not entering his name or Am I telling you am I revealing?
- 1:25:55[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to then rap horse is correct by the way.
- 1:26:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:26:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just talking that loud.
- 1:26:03[SPEAKER_02]: No, okay.
- 1:26:04[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not going to guess John Fox.
- 1:26:05[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:26:06[SPEAKER_02]: I might come back to him.
- 1:26:08[SPEAKER_02]: You've got van rappers though.
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:26:11[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:26:13[SPEAKER_02]: So then we talked about why our holds will not be on there.
- 1:26:16[SPEAKER_02]: Arten Wood Johnson Wood, Reggie Perry probably not.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_02]: Marinavitch.
- 1:26:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:26:27[SPEAKER_02]: Rodney Pete is a yes.
- 1:26:30[SPEAKER_02]: Let's come John Fox.
- 1:26:31[SPEAKER_02]: No, then.
- 1:26:32[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, let's just drop John Fox.
- 1:26:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's he on there.
- 1:26:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, he is.
- 1:26:38[SPEAKER_02]: 16.
- 1:26:40[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I still only have one strike though.
- 1:26:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 1:26:46[SPEAKER_02]: And I even said Southberry in that hit.
- 1:26:48[SPEAKER_02]: Southberry hit at 25.
- 1:26:50[SPEAKER_02]: Weird, like, running out of dudes.
- 1:26:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:26:52[SPEAKER_02]: So Paul McDonald's got to be on there, right?
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_02]: He's there 35.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:26:57[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Pat Hayden, I think, should be on there.
- 1:27:03[SPEAKER_02]: 31, yes, 31.
- 1:27:04[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 1:27:06[SPEAKER_02]: Um, Fred Ferdick would be interesting.
- 1:27:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah 15.
- 1:27:16[SPEAKER_02]: You threw that one to Sherman.
- 1:27:19[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to say no on Ferdig.
- 1:27:24[SPEAKER_02]: Actually, okay, let's just guess Ferdig.
- 1:27:27[SPEAKER_02]: So you we're going to guess.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to.
- 1:27:29[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, Ferdig is 16.
- 1:27:31[SPEAKER_04]: So he is, he is in there.
- 1:27:32[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, has 16.
