Transcript
- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: If you're tuned into the show regularly, we did a little double up here.
- 0:04[SPEAKER_01]: We did a buy one, get one free this week at the CEO.
- 0:07[SPEAKER_01]: And the deal is we got the chatten with our buddy, arm here.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: And it got saucy, we got excited about spring training and prospects in pricing.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so that is our last episode.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_01]: But we're going to jump in right now.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_01]: And we are bringing you the sports card CEO future top 20.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_02]: There it is he did it a 40 70 season and a season unlike any other
- 0:57[SPEAKER_02]: We're so guys, my truck, listen to sports car, see you with current, bubbling hand.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: This is going to be a little mind melt of none other than our Bubba Wilson and arm latent diving in.
- 1:20[SPEAKER_01]: Hambon might throw in a couple here or there, but this is about the baseball junkies, the baseball gurus talking about who they see coming down the pipe after we have this graduating class.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_01]: So let me set the stage boys and then we're going to dive into this conversation.
- 1:36[SPEAKER_01]: As we talk about often on the show, this podcast is focused on prospecting specifically to baseball cards, leveraging your business knowledge, applying it to the baseball card market and industry, and a love for baseball to capitalize.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_01]: on buys and sells within the sports card hobby.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_01]: So this episode is going to be about who is the next guy?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: Who do we like coming down the pipe?
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: And here's the classification.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: We all know that the top 100 list that's released by all these different outlets, guys will graduate from that list when they move from a prospect to a full-time major leader.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we have a lot of graduating players.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: So the conversation we're having today
- 2:21[SPEAKER_01]: Connor Griffin, JJ weatherhole, Kevin McGonagall, Samuel Bassayo, you know, and on and on and on are going to graduate.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: So that makes way for the next guys to kind of move up in the list.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: So arm has his list of guys, Bob has his list of guys.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_01]: I've jotted down a few notes here.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: So Bob, how do you want to attack this?
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to go?
- 2:41[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think we start with the graduates here, so that way we're on the same page right up down.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we can go through and say, okay, and just to save everybody the fluff, if we're not mentioning somebody on the top 100, and if I miss somebody, you think it's worth you know, talking about graduating by all means mentioned it, but I tried to go through the fluff here and not mention
- 2:59[SPEAKER_04]: You know, Dylan Beaver's, unless you're high on Dylan Beaver's on your next top.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_00]: I do.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_00]: I had him pretty high.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: I had him at 33, but he's going to be, yeah, he's going to be a graduate and also I've had him at 33 because he's just a guaranteed big ligor.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_04]: And it's, yeah, one.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_04]: So I think what we'll do is I'll go through this list arm if you see somebody Oh, hey, man, you didn't mention this guy.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_04]: I see him graduating.
- 3:21[SPEAKER_04]: I like this guy I'll mean to mention them, but I'll bring it through this list and as we go player by player Let's just quickly just give our grip on what because that's gonna affect our list dramatically Of course, yeah, by the way, I did 30 names plus a couple wild cards not one here.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_04]: That's the top 30
- 3:38[SPEAKER_04]: And so, I'll start here at the top.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_04]: Connor Griffin, just real quickly, we'll go through graduate, not graduate.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_04]: And if there's a disagreement, we'll say why.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_04]: All right, Connor Griffin, graduate.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, keep moving.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_04]: Meghana, graduate.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_04]: Mm-hmm.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, everybody says graduate.
- 3:52[SPEAKER_04]: Weatherhold, graduate.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_04]: This is going to be a disagreement.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_04]: Walker Jenkins graduate.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: If his body permits.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think he'll graduate.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: I think if he's healthy.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: So that's where it's really tough.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's already against there's a chance now.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: That thing is a coin flip.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_04]: I would agree.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_04]: The injury spoils things up, but I will say it's no.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_04]: The thing is is you can get up and July and graduate from prospects status.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_04]: So.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_04]: And they brought them up to triple life for a reason in my opinion.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, why give them a hundred about the triple I last year if you don't have any intention and why waste any more to throw it in the minor leagues.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: I think they may just want to have the big, like, staff work and with them physically to just stay on the field.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm going to lean towards graduate, but I understand the other side.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 4:36[SPEAKER_04]: So we're kind of torn there.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_04]: Max Clark graduate on my side.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'll see you July, June call up as well.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because of the playoff push and Parker Meadows may stink, so I lean graduate, but I also could see him getting up so late that he's still eligible.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm out on Clark's debut this year.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_04]: So you think he's a roll over?
- 4:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think he's a roll over.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_04]: Another one that could be a discriminant right here, Cole Emerson, I've got him as a graduate.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: After talking to the Mariners director of player development, I'm going to put that piece out in a few days here.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to graduate.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think he continues to impress them in camp, and I think he could be up early.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll be graduate.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_00]: I will follow the baseball as expert.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_04]: I quit.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_04]: This one's a no-brainer, no-one McLean.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_04]: He's a graduate.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_04]: He's almost graduated already.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_04]: Bessaya, graduate, you savage, graduate.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_04]: This one, I mean, could be at for conversation, Carter Jensen.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_04]: I've got him as a graduate.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's a, I think he's a play big part in there.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: Success this year.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: Thomas White, graduate.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'll lean towards it.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Bubba Chandler graduate Peyton Toli graduate Bryce Eldridge graduate Carson Binge graduate.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they moved so from right to left for that guy.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's he's he's coming.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Travis Bazana graduate.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, Sal Stewart graduate by the way I might be one of the best.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_04]: You might be one of the best singers dude.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_04]: I see I see the hype train coming for that guy And go up yet.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I people are starting to kind of go up.
- 6:04[SPEAKER_04]: Who's this guy?
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: I just got I there wasn't much out there so I wanted I wanted something I bought a true I But I was not a true I wish it was I bought a blue wave But I was happy to get something to his for like 300 bucks.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, no, he's got Chase the lottery my boy about a super.
- 6:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I think he's a super.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I think dude.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_04]: I I'm calling my shot on that one right there dog
- 6:26[SPEAKER_04]: Do the dude can rip.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_04]: I saw him hit a ball dude.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_04]: He's unbelievable.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_04]: I saw him hit a ball though other day Although he just got a flung the bat and it went off the wall on my easy for goodness.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_04]: It's just health
- 6:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, next, uh, stealing your boy's nailing.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, he, he's graduate.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's graduate.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: I can guarantee that.
- 6:46[SPEAKER_04]: This one was the other one we had a question mark earlier.
- 6:49[SPEAKER_04]: And I could see this one going the way.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_04]: I'm still, I could see it go one way or the other is Lombard.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_04]: I've got him again where I could see the Yankees just get tired of internal options there and just give him a chance if he forces their hand, but I could also see him roll forward.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's so advanced defensively that could be the case, but at the same time, like their option is currently an advanced defensive guy who can't really hit and Ryan McMahon.
- 7:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, I lean, I lean, take their time with him.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: That was nice.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_04]: Look up.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_04]: Walshman, I have him, I got you running.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to graduate and then Aden Miller is an interesting one too.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_04]: I have him not graduating.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_00]: I have him being a september.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: Cyptin recall.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_04]: I just might be down bad for Aden.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_01]: Are we actually to the point here?
- 7:36[SPEAKER_01]: Because we got one last name here.
- 7:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I think this guy is extremely undervalued.
- 7:44[SPEAKER_04]: And I thought about buying him a ton of your go.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_04]: And I'd
- 7:48[SPEAKER_04]: I was a total, yeah, I don't want to say the word on there.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I was, but I didn't buy him and it's Joshua bias.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_04]: I think that guy along with whether I love guys that have power, speed, can hit tool.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's flying under the radar and he's dirt, dirt, cheap.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_04]: He is like free almost in a way.
- 8:07[SPEAKER_04]: I really like him.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_04]: So anyway, I haven't graduated.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: I think the only one I think is not graduating is is Aden Miller or is graduating excuse me is Aden Miller.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_00]: I think because they have Alec Bowen hitting cleanup and they have to win with this group, I think they may get desperate at some point in the middle of the season and Aden Miller was one of the best hitters in the minor leagues in the second half, finished the year in AAA.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_00]: I think he gets a crack early.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_04]: So let's just start with the atomic bomb.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_04]: Now I'm just dropping the atomic bomb on my top 30 list.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: So we'll just start there then.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_04]: He drops the atomic bomb on my list of stars.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_04]: So we're going to start with my number one on the list, Aiden Miller.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, if he graduates, if he graduates, that's the end of that thought.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_04]: But again, I would be okay with that.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'll just tell you this much.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: I have been buying every Aiden Miller and site.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_04]: If you see all of them.
- 8:56[SPEAKER_04]: You can guys sniping those cards for me.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_04]: every single one in sight.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm, I'm golfing like Pac-Man in the, in the 80s.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I am, I am literally consuming eight in Miller cards at a high rate.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_04]: Eight in Miller, and, and, you know, I have to admit arm when you're right on something, I will, it'd be the first to admit it because I, I'm in, in Miller in the adjustments he made second half of the year.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_04]: is profound.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he already had speed.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_04]: He already had power, but he had a hole, right?
- 9:26[SPEAKER_04]: And I did a lot more research on this since then.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_04]: The adjustments he was able to make on all speed pitches and what the fillies were able to do with him.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_04]: What he did in the year last 30 games, 357 average in the last 30 games, 357 average, 22 stolen bases, six homers, 19 RBS.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 9:47[SPEAKER_04]: And he did this at the higher levels.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_04]: This was not like oh, he's down and he's in single A and ripping.
- 9:53[SPEAKER_04]: He did it at the higher levels.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_04]: He was hitting major league quality pitching and absolutely tattooing it.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_04]: You're talking about a guy that has
- 10:03[SPEAKER_04]: 30, 30 potential.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, that has improved on his defense and probably gets straight turn around a town eventually.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_04]: And Philly, but we're talking about a guy that could put up like an Akunia type season where you had a guy where he had 70 steals.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's got that type of speed with that type of power.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_04]: I like in him to a Ronald Akunia type profile, a short stop.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_04]: in a way.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, just the way, just the speed, the power, the, the, the, the ability and so I know I've gone all long time by number one overall, but that's why I've got number one overall.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gushing on this guy of where he's at.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_04]: So I could be wrong, but I love the guy.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the way you finish the year is what really stands out to me.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you mentioned a lot of the key numbers.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: I think the biggest thing, too, is of changes he made, made him pretty much primed for velocity.
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: And that's always the thing you need to be most prepared for, right?
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: When you get up to the big leagues, against 93 plus, 90 from house power plus, from July, July 1st onward, Miller hit 414 with a 1268 OPS.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's nuts.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: So that's why I think they're gonna call him up.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's ready to go, but I like the shout because I mean, we had him highest, I think of anybody on our top 100 list at six already in the street season release.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_00]: So let you guys go to your number one.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: That was fun.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: Who you got him?
- 11:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I'm actually just listening, like tagging along to this thing.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I mean, I kind of lean on everybody's collected.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: of this when I'm making my list.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not, I'm not the, I'm not the guy that does the deep stat does like.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm playing host today.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_01]: I will tell you that's though.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you, I'll give you the one that I like that I still think he's undervalued.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_01]: I still think he has the upside and I do think it's Walker Jenkins.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_01]: I, you know, the, the health concerns me, but I still like his body profile.
- 11:54[SPEAKER_01]: I still like his age.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_01]: I still like his, you know, discipline at the plate.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_01]: I still like his upcoming power, you know, stop.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I just, it does concern me about his health.
- 12:03[SPEAKER_01]: But from a, from a dynamic of the tool set that's there.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_01]: And kind of the, the young guy that a franchise could kind of hang their hat on.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_01]: He's the guy there.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_01]: So that is personal to me because he's from right down the road.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_01]: So he's the guy that I'm kind of going.
- 12:19[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Walker.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pulling for you.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to stick you in my one slot.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: I'd love to see you there.
- 12:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's that's why I'm coming from on that one.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 12:26[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, and he's going to get every opportunity for a rebuildingish twins team that, you know, really needs a player like him with it.
- 12:33[SPEAKER_00]: The hit.
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: kept power potential combinations.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_00]: It's always been what's so exciting.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna go hazers mid-day for my number one I mean, I think that would probably be the if you you pulled some of the other like lists So be I be the the the most chalk answer.
- 12:48[SPEAKER_00]: So I feel a little bit lame given it but This guy so another another fun conversation I had this piece is already live on arm lame ton
- 13:01[SPEAKER_00]: this is live on just baseball dot com sat down with the bruise assistant director player development basically this is a series i'm working on over the next few weeks i think would actually be great for card collectors what are we sitting down with with player development officials or coaches whoever at team will give to me and
- 13:16[SPEAKER_00]: asking some specific questions, but then we mean the four open and ams are just like who showed up it's bring this year looking different like who's who are you guys most excited about and the theme with with Mede was that you know he he just kind of takes things upon himself and one of them was just it just to get stronger and he showed up 15 pounds you know it's stronger of just peer muscle and he's moving the bat faster already and we've seen that in spring training we're like he's taking these these food swings he's out on his front foot it's all hands and it's 105
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and this gets 18, by the way.
- 13:45[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it could tell Marta, you know, to me like that's what I see.
- 13:49[SPEAKER_00]: And if could tell Marta was could tell Marta at 19 years old in the big leagues, it would be a totally different conversation.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: Could tell Marta was not very good for several years in the big leagues got traded because played in small markets and then became could tell Marta at like 2526.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then really didn't fully become could tell Marta until 28.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: So,
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: I think that's the difference there.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: But also this guy that you don't even know how much better he could potentially become.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: He's in one of the best organizations for development.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to have a very clear runway to have success.
- 14:16[SPEAKER_00]: And also, you talk about flare and flash.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_00]: Just the name itself, I really do think goes a long way.
- 14:21[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to the hobby, everyone seems to gravitate towards it.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: But I think this guy's going to just keep getting better and better and better.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_00]: And he's going to be 18 years old getting his second taste at W.A.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I do, I mean, I had him lower on my list originally.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_04]: I did move him up this morning, drinking my coffee.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_04]: He kind of adjusted my list.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_04]: So what kind of move just named number two here?
- 14:40[SPEAKER_04]: So Aden was my number one.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_04]: My number two on the list is a guy that I've owned a lot of.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_04]: I don't own nearly as much because I've been thinking that it would be another opportunity to buy him and if there ever is I will the kid is good He's just a good good player.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_04]: He's he's you kind of got me thinking mod.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_04]: I may have been a better choice here too, but I like Leo still man I still think Leo is just a stud.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_04]: I think the name is already profile there.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_04]: I I think Leo's gonna continue to do what Leo does
- 15:08[SPEAKER_04]: and he had already been in some of the higher levels.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_04]: He showed power last year, which I like.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_04]: He showed more power than mod A, you know, maybe not exit VLOs, but as far as power, he showed it on field.
- 15:18[SPEAKER_04]: And so I'm going Leo.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going Leo, call on the shot there.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_04]: He originally was a guy I thought a year ago, had a chance to be this guy in 27.
- 15:24[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna stick with my guns and say, Leo, has that kind of year.
- 15:28[SPEAKER_00]: I have Leo at two.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_00]: I totally agree.
- 15:31[SPEAKER_01]: I think the thing is, you guys agree on something, make it so spectacular.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_00]: They were Elliot.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's you guys.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm so proud of you.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: I think the thing that stands out the most to me with them is, is the way he finished the year.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: He's involved in this massive trade.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think for a young player that is 18 years old, it could shake you up a little bit.
- 15:49[SPEAKER_00]: You're going from, from pretty much,
- 15:52[SPEAKER_00]: Also, from high A to double A, right after the trade, and in his final 26 games, if you include the postseason as well, where he went on a tear, he had a 995 OPS as an 18 year old, and with eight homers at the double A level.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_00]: That's just stupid numbers for a kid.
- 16:08[SPEAKER_04]: Yep, 100% I love Leo as well.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_04]: All right, moving to number three, I got Bryce Rainer.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I have Rainer coming back.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_04]: I looked again at his stats at what he did in a small sample size.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_04]: What he did in a small sample size was pretty darn impressive.
- 16:24[SPEAKER_04]: And I think people've overlooked that.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_04]: Are the amount of power he showed again in a very small sample size?
- 16:29[SPEAKER_04]: I really think he's gonna come out very strong.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_04]: I have him as my number three.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_00]: I have actually his org mate, Max Clark.
- 16:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm still still there at three.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_00]: Just that's more of just a four thing as well.
- 16:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be playing center field for the Tigers next year, at least.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: So I think that was a big part for me.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think the other thing with Clark is I always had questions about the power.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's still some reason more questions, but he has worked diligently to tap into more.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he showed that last year, he's popping eggs of a loss, he's north of one ten.
- 16:57[SPEAKER_00]: Of course, you talk about the flare and the flash, it's become one of the biggest topics in social media, it's insufferable people to kind of contain Max Clark from being himself, just because you wouldn't do it.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: He has the flare.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_00]: He has the flash and he feeds performing, you know how it is in this world.
- 17:13[SPEAKER_00]: All the sudden people are going to be on board with that stuff and and I think they will be and most of the people that are into the hobby anyways, I feel like are at least on the modern side and so I think Clark is a very popular pick there, but also I just I love the floor with him.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's pushed a ceiling a little bit higher.
- 17:28[SPEAKER_01]: You know, one thing on the Clark thing is interesting just as a bystander here looking at this thing like I've never been really convicted by him like it's just not a guy that I really attached to and not for any other reason than just that you just never like, you know, wowed me, but when you when you act the way he does right it's the deon Sanders thing.
- 17:46[SPEAKER_01]: It is like, if you act that way, if you dress that way, you better play that way, you know, the mean.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_01]: And you know, that's where he's setting himself up for massive cataclysmic, you know, superstardom, or he's creating a bar that's going to be impossible to reach.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's the only thing for me that would concern me about specific to his card values.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, the mean Kent, can he produce on his persona?
- 18:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_01]: That's fair.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe along the number four,
- 18:15[SPEAKER_04]: Wardo Quintero is my number four up there yeah he's he is now officially baseball America's number one in the Dodgers system on their new release out the Duke can just hit and and he's fast he can hit he's a center filter he's on the right team rivalization in his stock is just continued to rise I mean he went from basically
- 18:37[SPEAKER_04]: a nobody on a list, you know, a year ago and he rose as high as he already has, I just see that continuum to happen.
- 18:44[SPEAKER_04]: I honestly think he pushes very hard buddy into this year to be called up.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_04]: I really do.
- 18:49[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I'm as high on him, probably as high on him is almost anybody at this point with it.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_04]: And honestly, the whole Dodger system right there, those three or four guys, which you're going to hear those names a lot here coming up.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_04]: That's that's my number four.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like Amy, he's obviously on my list.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's a guy that I have a head of DePaula at this point marginally, but have a head of DePaula.
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: I think the defense and the the fact that he's going to stick in center field and the speed and broaging power combination and it gives really exciting.
- 19:15[SPEAKER_00]: But for me, I go, Luis Pena from the Brewers, it's the same story as Hazel's Made.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: These guys have been in tandem, so the second that Luis Pena or Hazel's Made and Luis Pena had the season that they had in the Dominican summer league.
- 19:28[SPEAKER_00]: The Brewers recognized both of them and said, these kids are different, so these kids are going to skip the complex week.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, we're just going to invite them straight to our instructional week, let's get them used to being in the United States, and then we'll roll it right into extended camp and then right into spring training and then right into L.O.A.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_00]: and that's what they did last year.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then same thing with this coming into the season, they got there early early early.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_00]: We're talking January and same thing with Pania put on muscle.
- 19:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's moving the bat faster and he is looks fantastic when I saw him in live looks.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: I another guy where you have that speed power combination.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think a lot of people cool it on Pania because he finished the year so poorly in high age, in 18 year old.
- 20:06[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's kind of ridiculous.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's never played more than like 40 games in a season.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_00]: And you're asking this 18 year old kid to go to a new country, skip a level, and then play double that more than double the games he's ever played.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_00]: Of course he's gonna fade at the end of the year.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: And they feel confident that the brewer is that they have the exact idea of what he needs to work on.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: It was specifically breaking balls and he's been working on that all spring and they've already seen improvements there.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: And he's also just been working on the strength and conditioning so that he doesn't get tired at 120 games.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: Like every other 18 year old on the planet would.
- 20:39[SPEAKER_00]: So I think people were too harsh on him.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I think he's going to have a really good year.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: I know the brewer is don't see the gap between Madane, paying you being particularly big.
- 20:48[SPEAKER_04]: I thought I was about to say, son article the other day that said the brewer see them almost identical in a way that was going to where they're at.
- 20:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, probably what's probably what's your article.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, that's um, I like that one there.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_04]: He's on my top 10 as well.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_04]: Moving to number five, you've already mentioned the name.
- 21:04[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not going to really elaborate much more because you've already proven a great point on him.
- 21:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's hazy's mod day.
- 21:09[SPEAKER_04]: He was my number five.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_04]: So I had him top five, I honestly could have seen here and you felt you kind of convinced me maybe I should have bumped him up maybe number three on my list, but I've got him at number five is who I've currently got a five.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_00]: I've got Rayneo Rodriguez.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know catchers.
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: This way I defer to you guys too.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: So the picture market is percolating, right?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_00]: We're in a good, we're in a good spot here.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_00]: Rayneo Rodriguez is a catcher and I think he's, big reason why his stock is climb for us on our just our general top one.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_00]: the hobby doesn't like catchers and I think there's a good reason not to where you guys at on catching car a catcher cards.
- 21:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah I was going to set my jump in here because one of the lists that I've always used before I even met either of you guys was scout the stat line.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_01]: I've always leaned on them, they put out a list and that's where I've you know kind of been air high on Reniel like he's number three for them right now behind like you know and and again I'm kind of like I don't
- 22:06[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think the hobby responds well to catch your cards.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the SIO is a perfect example.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_01]: He had a lot of cow rolly.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_01]: Look at Bubba with the artwork here.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean cow rolly did a little bit of something to salvage the catcher persona.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: But here's a question, Bubba.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: Can cow repeat what he did last year this year?
- 22:27[SPEAKER_04]: No, I mean, I don't know that he will.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_04]: I just think that it's got the skin effect a little bit to it.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_04]: Catchers have never gotten much love.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_04]: You've got some exciting catchers coming up.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, one of your favorite players has been beside for a while.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_04]: You saw what happened with Adley.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_04]: I had Lee getting crushed and helped anybody there.
- 22:43[SPEAKER_04]: He obviously had a ton of hype, his cards got high.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_04]: So I think it really, I mean, I think what they need in the catchers market is somebody to perform.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_04]: of a silo to perform, you know, somebody to come out and actually grow.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and once that happens, I think the whole catcher stigma will go away.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_04]: I think you look at Ethan Salas, what happened to him and card values?
- 23:00[SPEAKER_04]: People get when they get burned on something they tend to have a little bit of heart burn.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: And the thing I do get is in this one I'm doing my list right the reason why there's certain catchers I'm really high on is that the barrier the offensive barrier just to big league regularity is so low for a catcher right look at Patrick Kelly who the hell wants his cards I could tell you 30 GMs that would love to have him on on on his on their team right but nobody wants that no.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_00]: who tend batting average as a card to collect, right?
- 23:27[SPEAKER_00]: So the defense is so important.
- 23:30[SPEAKER_00]: And that's why I think with the catchers, you've got to be looking at those queer caught offensive mining guys.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: And at least Raniale does fit that bill.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think historical card values too.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_01]: You have to look at like the greatest catchers of all time and you talk about guys like Johnny Bench, you talk about guys like a Mike P. Otsa or a Pudrod Regas or Bustroposi.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's just three off the top of my head.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like we transcendent from the position and they don't not even even those guys who are Hall of Famer like whatever like they just don't they don't have the sex appeal.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: You know, catchers aren't sexy.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: They're back behind the plate.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_01]: They're dirty, you know, to mean they're they're grinding or whatever.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_01]: And like, that's just a catcher.
- 24:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a drummer on a band.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 24:10[SPEAKER_01]: Very rarely does the drummer get any attention.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_01]: It's the front man, the Mick Jagger out there, you know what I mean?
- 24:17[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody at the drummer, you know what I mean?
- 24:18[SPEAKER_01]: How many cool drummers?
- 24:19[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there's a bunch of really cool drummers, but like, people don't drummers, they had.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's Travis Barker, right?
- 24:24[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta go.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_01]: You gotta go with the fella for the chili peppers.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: It looks like Will Ferrell.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: Mama, John, I'm gonna blow up on her today.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're proving your point, I know, I know.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: He would kill me probably, but all right, boys, number six.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to call out a catcher there real quick.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_04]: First, I'm a Homer Drake Baldwin.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_04]: How did he not get any more hype as a prospect and be as good as it is?
- 24:45[SPEAKER_00]: We did our part.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: I can promise you that.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: That was your thing and the praise is on that guy.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_04]: He's that guy is on a real just so we do a little high before.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_04]: I'm a Homer.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_04]: The Atlanta Braise.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_04]: He's absolutely as great as a PSA beast.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_04]: All right, number six, Boba.
- 24:59[SPEAKER_04]: I'm you want to talk about going with your conviction and not being afraid to put them on the table I'm putting them on the table right now on this pick.
- 25:06[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, and you already know on about the say he's a Dodger.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and I love what and I'm jumping two or three other guys on the on the Dodger list I just got to where I think he deserves to be.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_04]: Is that here hope?
- 25:18[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 25:20[SPEAKER_04]: I've said it and said it again.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_04]: You see him in spring training.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_04]: The guy is a doubles machine.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_04]: He's got doubles machine power that's going to turn into more home runs.
- 25:29[SPEAKER_04]: He's got the flare.
- 25:31[SPEAKER_04]: I love Saher Hope.
- 25:33[SPEAKER_04]: I really, he's criminally cheap for what he is in the hobby.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_04]: Still at this point.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_04]: I think he, there's a legit chance at it.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_04]: Honestly, I want to put a number one because I'm such a
- 25:44[SPEAKER_00]: to believe him.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_00]: See how juicy his body right now, he obviously is shorter, but he looks like prime bonds.
- 25:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like, dude, he's like, he's, he's, he's, he's no neck.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, he's like, we ran an Oklahoma drill.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_00]: My limbs would disperse in every direction.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_00]: All right, that arm said prime bonds.
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: Like, basically, like, there's a picture.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'll send to you guys after that.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: That's not your bond.
- 26:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's hilarious.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_00]: He looks like he looks, he looks like, juice up like he's so strong.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_04]: The Duke and the Duke and Rip dude.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_04]: I'm all over Zahir here.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_04]: Number six.
- 26:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's I'm I have him at the same spot because oh, let's go work ethic to get his look.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's clearly one of those guys that he's not going to stick in center field.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_00]: His body as he's maturing is just just he's turning into a linebacker.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's fine.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hit hit the living crap out of the ball and he's still can run a little bit, right?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_00]: My big thing with him.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_00]: He whiffed a little bit last year, right?
- 26:34[SPEAKER_00]: Getting into like a little bit of swing technicality.
- 26:36[SPEAKER_00]: So he and Ho's way to Paula had the same kind of bad habit that crept in where and Corbin Carroll used to do this too when he had that really bad swamp and he figured it out.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's counter rotating too much.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_00]: So you really want to get into your power, right?
- 26:48[SPEAKER_00]: So you turn and your chest is almost facing the catcher.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you think about it, then you have to swing from there.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: It takes, you have to go so much further to deliver the barrel and your mind is going to say, I got to get that shoulder up.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_00]: You pull that front shoulder out, the back drags and you're going to kind of drift and drag below any fastballs at the top.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_00]: in sprint training so far, I've seen him clearly clearly not doing that, staying more square.
- 27:09[SPEAKER_00]: And I think that is resulted in a lot better swings and a lot less whiff.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_00]: On top of that, he's hit like four balls one fifteen already this spring.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: This guy is massive, massive power.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: I think he faced his micro adversity last year.
- 27:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I think this is going to be a massive year for him.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_00]: I got a lot of flack for how high we had dire hope this time last year had a lot of flack for over where we had McGonagall this time last year, McGonagall proved it right.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_00]: Hope had some turbulence.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was not wrong on hope.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was just early.
- 27:36[SPEAKER_04]: Told you, ham.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_04]: Told you, he's not poop in hope in hope.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_04]: I'm on my hope.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, baby, I'm on my hope.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, sir.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_04]: I number seven, I mean, you know, or I promise I didn't see a sheet.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_04]: Rainy L Rodriguez.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I say why I, I also see, and by the way, the hobby does like him.
- 27:56[SPEAKER_04]: They're, they're, they understand that he's good.
- 27:58[SPEAKER_04]: He's not like their cheap.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he, I've been wanting to buy more of him.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_04]: And it's not easy to get him.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_04]: Not a lot of his cards at the market either.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_04]: So the hobby does like rainy L. So I have him number seven.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_00]: I got at seven UI willets.
- 28:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know the ceiling isn't as much to dream on just yet, but give this kid some time.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's one of the youngest in the class.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_00]: I see a lot of her auto-purdomo in his game, switch hitter, great batsable, fantastic defender, good runner.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe that power comes seven years from now, he'll be 25.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_00]: So it doesn't need to, it could come three years from now, four years from now.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_00]: He's ahead of his years.
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be a cornerstone for this national organization
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: I really think it's a per-domo type, I understand that that may not be the printing press of cash for card, but I just think this is a very good player, and it'd be disingenuous if I was just basing it on, you know, who I think said to make you the most profit, this is just a really good player, even if he is expensive because he was technically the number one
- 28:56[SPEAKER_04]: All right, I'm pulling out the red button.
- 28:57[SPEAKER_04]: You atomic bombed by the list with a Miller, Sandy's graduating.
- 29:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm atomic bombing your list right now.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_04]: Boom.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_04]: Eli Willis didn't make my top third.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm calling.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm calling him.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_04]: He's 18 a year.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_04]: I'm calling him the bust of when you look at him.
- 29:13[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not saying Eli Willis is not a top 100 Major League Baseball player in on the list, but he's more like 72.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_04]: OK, and I think,
- 29:24[SPEAKER_04]: the tools to me, when I don't get excited about it, like Hologo Pradamo is not a top 10 type player, but you're looking for a top 10 or a short stop last year.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, nobody cares.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_01]: I know that's the problem.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: Now you guys, now you guys are back to your true colors.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_01]: Good job, I'm so proud of you.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_04]: I'd rather than the ones borrowed seven, but we'll blow it up.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_04]: All right, we're moving it out.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_00]: They're all the way.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_00]: 20, 20 last year.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: Seven war shorts stop and no.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_04]: I like her all the way to Pradama.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_04]: I really do just, I think he's under valued as well.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_00]: This is a real life, I guess.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's a real life prospect that the hobby's probably never going to get behind you.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, they're already the only on him too high.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's crazy high.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_04]: We'll do this.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, he's way too high for what is for what his ability is.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_01]: Well, here's one quick point on that.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_01]: People want to say, oh, you've creased you for buying Connor Griffin.
- 30:17[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, bro, you're crazy for paying what you're paying for Eli Willitz.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: That is very good.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't buy you.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: I will.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's right now.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_00]: So I know.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_00]: Cross pepper ranking next year.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: I just think he's going to be that high based on the sum of his parts.
- 30:31[SPEAKER_04]: We got a lot of names to go through.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to go hyperdrive here, folks.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to cook quick, like explanations under 20 seconds, Seth Hernandez, number eight, major major arm, big time in a stable of arms and a program that's obviously moving up in the pirates.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_04]: I was really curious of where I was going to put her in and as I think he's got tremendous upside down.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_04]: I think that the scouts will like that as well.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_04]: I see him as a top 10 pick.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_00]: I got him a number eight.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: Great shout.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_00]: I think upside is immense.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, one of the best changeups in the minor leagues, but I'm actually going to go with a different prep.
- 31:02[SPEAKER_00]: Righty and he'll be included in a piece of I've coming out in the coming days here.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_00]: Ryan Swam.
- 31:07[SPEAKER_00]: Ryan Swam.
- 31:08[SPEAKER_00]: He is so, so talented, like ridiculously talented.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: Fastball's sitting in the upper 90s already.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: the year that he had at low way as a cold weather prep rites is ridiculous and talking to some people with with the mariners.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_00]: The general sense is that this kid is just annoyingly natural at pitching where he just added this two seamer and it's like his new toy and all the sudden that's a new pitch for me throwing these disgusting splutters and they actually have to slow him down because he is so quick as at learning and wanting to add and do different things.
- 31:37[SPEAKER_00]: I think Sloan is going to be a guy that flies through the minor leagues in a really good pitching development system.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: That's
- 31:41[SPEAKER_00]: Sloan's coming on the show.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, he's going to be a guest here coming up.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_04]: We've been talking about it for weeks.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_04]: Have an him come on.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_04]: The dude is a mammoth of a man 65.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, big, long pitcher with a monster arm.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, so I love I love to call out there for Sloan.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_04]: Great guys.
- 31:57[SPEAKER_04]: Well, he loves cards as well.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_04]: Nice dude.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_04]: Number nine Luis Pena.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_04]: Again, not much more to add to what you've already said.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_04]: I love Pena.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's got a tremendous amount of talent.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think we're going to be talking about him for a long time.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: 100% and that's the same story with my guy.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's just heard unfortunately Sebastian Walcott good news with Walcott though is he'll be full go next year He did not do Tommy John.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_00]: He did the internal brace the internal brace could have him back swinging the bat by the end of this year So Walcott then he would be potentially even having a chance to to graduate if if he was healthy The power is immense.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_00]: He still got to find the way to get the ball in the air a little bit more But this guy is a special talent and yes, the detour sucks, but he was ahead of schedule anyways
- 32:37[SPEAKER_04]: In a selfish way, my number 10 pick, I did not want to share with that it was my number 10 pick, because I want to buy every card in existence of his.
- 32:45[SPEAKER_04]: He's honestly my favorite major league baseball player right now, minor league baseball player in all a baseball.
- 32:50[SPEAKER_04]: And it's because of the human being that he is, I've gotten a no-him outside of the show.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_04]: He's been on the show.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_04]: A little mad, I know
- 33:01[SPEAKER_04]: I'm telling you right now, my gut tells me and I've told my boys, he's been helping my kids a little bit with pitches and stuff throwing, he's a tremendous human being.
- 33:09[SPEAKER_04]: His work ethic and the student of the game that this guy is, he's like Greg Maddox, but a Greg Maddox is six, six, six, okay.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_04]: He's a student, and when you see somebody is locked in at a kid's, this guy's age, his work ethic, his drive, he takes care of his body,
- 33:26[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, to me, I'm calling it right now.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_04]: This is a guy in 32 games who has a 2.14 ERA.
- 33:33[SPEAKER_04]: And he, I'll start doing it.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_04]: I think dude, I haven't even been healthy.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_04]: I haven't even been my best.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_04]: You have not seen my best.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_04]: A guy in 130 innings fish has to test 208 strikeouts.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_04]: last year had a 1.790RA and 45 innings at 79 strikeouts.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_04]: This is a number one devastating type starter for the Washington Nationals to come and I hate it because I'm a brave fan.
- 33:54[SPEAKER_04]: I want to alter the whole farm system for him right now.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_04]: Give me Travis Acora.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_04]: I love the guy.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_04]: Great human being.
- 34:01[SPEAKER_04]: Travis we're going to see UBS done one day, man.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's the type of guy for all the things that you said just to add to it that will come back from Tommy John's stronger because of what you said and then like those are the guys that come back in their better and and their stuff's louder and they added a pitch in the time off like that's that kind of guy he is and to your point like it's unique stuff to it's it's to add like a horizontal angle good extension all the stuff tunnels off of itself really well splitter's disgusting he's going to have a long fruitful career.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: Who's your number 10 number 10 for me is a guy doesn't even have cards, which is criminal and you know, and 14 to no fanatics.
- 34:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's to step their game up current and I were talking about this like a year ago and and the last Bowman Chrome product release and like you got to be kidding me.
- 34:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's not in this.
- 34:42[SPEAKER_00]: Do they need us consulting here a little bit on on what cards they should be putting in there.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm happy to help.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_00]: Four in Chino is should have been in there a while ago, ridiculous field of hit for an 18 year old that did what he did it low way and he is, he's the modern type of hitter that I think teams will write he pulls the ball in the air at an outrageous clip 26% ground ball rate this past year, but at the same time does not strike out 90% in zone contact rate patient hitter he is one of the, I think more advanced teenage bats you have in the minor leagues from the left side too.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_04]: Well, number 11 for me was Edward 14.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 35:18[SPEAKER_04]: We had R on other than Eli Willets, who I knew killer bombed are on our on tap here today.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't need to say much more about one number 11 Edward 14.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_00]: My 11 is is a Dodger, who I actually have a head of hostway to pollen.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_00]: It's Mike Sarota.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_00]: Sarota's going to be healthy after a knee injury washer.
- 35:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's already planning to bring training in a home run already.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: But Sarota had some of the best.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: bad at ball data of anybody in the minor leagues before going down with the knee issue, it's elite exit velocities.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of the lowest chase rates in the minor weeks, 12% and he's going to stick in center field and he's above average runner and he's already proven that after the knee issue, it's really a plus runner there.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: Together was a candidate to go top five in the draft and then had a disappointing draft jersey battled injury and was inexplicably traded by the reds and the Dodgers were salivating at the opportunity to bring him in for Gavin
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: So this is the guy that we can mind the approach, the power, the speed, it should be one of should be one of Bubbles favorite types to be honest.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_04]: No, I love them.
- 36:16[SPEAKER_04]: And so that actually I'll give you 12 and 13 back to back here since since you said both their names.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_04]: I went ahead and did some depala at at 12th and I have to wrote a 13th.
- 36:26[SPEAKER_04]: I love both guys, this Dodger system is absolutely ridiculously loaded.
- 36:31[SPEAKER_04]: Like they needed to be, they've already got all the money.
- 36:34[SPEAKER_04]: Let's get the prospects too, right?
- 36:36[SPEAKER_04]: So, I mean, both of those guys to me project to be phenomenal baseball players, major though their outfield is going to be, that's even if they use those guys, they don't have time to want to put them in.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_04]: They're, I mean, they're loaded.
- 36:51[SPEAKER_04]: So I love both of those guys.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_04]: I had to Paula at 12.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_04]: I've surrounded 13.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_00]: 12 for me is Rainer.
- 36:57[SPEAKER_00]: I won't, you know, rehash any of the talking modes.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_00]: You had, it was ridiculous power in his Crow Day view.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: He is healthy.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: Now coming off of that shoulder, there might be some rust to shake off as typically as the case, but be patient with him.
- 37:10[SPEAKER_00]: And I will guarantee by the end of the year, you know, you're going to be happy with some of the results that he has shown.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_00]: It's, it's plus plus raw power from a guy that also has
- 37:19[SPEAKER_04]: By the way, that was current's number one.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_00]: My gosh, really.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, right now it was current.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 37:23[SPEAKER_00]: I get it.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_00]: Here's your number 13, he's org mate, Percenio, Jose Percenio, catch a conversation again, but the difference with Percenio is, I think you can go play first and just mash too.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_00]: I think his ceiling is kind of the catch twice a week and then play first base the rest of the day, slash DH.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_00]: He has one of the better blends of hitting power I think in the minor leagues.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: And we've seen that on display in AA, we've seen it in the years on a fall league.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: If this is a guy that I think could hit 30 plus homers, even in that ballpark and keep the strikeouts in check.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_04]: All right.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_04]: Now I'm going to go three in a row here to give their speed going Charlie Condon number 14 for me.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_04]: That's he'll be he could.
- 38:01[SPEAKER_04]: That's he'll be at 15 and Ryan's loan at 16.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_04]: Condon absolutely was an absolute murderer for the University of Georgia.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_04]: I simply was disappointed last year.
- 38:12[SPEAKER_04]: He had a little bit of a struggle but I almost kind of expected it.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_04]: You had that adjustment period but dude he's locked.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_04]: in the spring.
- 38:19[SPEAKER_04]: He's locked in.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_04]: Did he get a 50 bombs in Colorado?
- 38:22[SPEAKER_04]: I love Charlie Condon.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_04]: Again, a great human being, a great work ethic, a cool story if you've never seen it.
- 38:28[SPEAKER_04]: Charlie Condon was not even hardly recruited.
- 38:31[SPEAKER_04]: Coming out of high school was always a beat teamer and travel ball coming up here in Atlanta.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_04]: He didn't make them the better teams and the guy never stopped working.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_04]: Really cool story.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_04]: Charlie Conne, DAX Killby, man, I wish I'd have been more on DAX Killby in release.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's the only guy who really regret the game when somebody told us that DAX Killby was the guy to buy out of the truck.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_01]: Who was that?
- 38:52[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I pulled the old, I pulled the old uh...
- 38:56[SPEAKER_04]: I pull the old bummer there and said man prices are too high at the rip and they've continued to go on higher.
- 39:01[SPEAKER_04]: I should have known that because he's the Yankee.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_04]: They always do when they're Yankees.
- 39:05[SPEAKER_04]: I like his profile.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's getting a little too high a little too early.
- 39:09[SPEAKER_04]: I think there'll be another opportunity for Killby where I can pick him off.
- 39:12[SPEAKER_04]: I do right now.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_04]: That's number 15.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_04]: Number 16's Ryan Sloan.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_04]: for obvious reasons we've all talked better earlier.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_04]: So, Aaron, what do you got at 14, 15 and 16?
- 39:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I'm glad I'm glad you're on the killby train now.
- 39:24[SPEAKER_00]: I do think there'll be an opportunity, but he's also there's a chance he might just keep breaking.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_00]: He's a really, really well-rounded player.
- 39:29[SPEAKER_00]: Incoherty is a 14.
- 39:31[SPEAKER_00]: I know it's hit tool driven, but there's some sneaky pop there at 14.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_00]: Um, to the pole side, and I think you could really benefit from just peppering that monster right old do now another catcher, but what a freak catcher he is in the reds organization with huge power and then 16 I got AJ you in I love AJ you in.
- 39:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're one of the high guys in the industry on him, but it's ridiculous speed.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_00]: He grabs 70 bags this past year.
- 39:55[SPEAKER_00]: And there's sneaky power.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he flashed all eggs of losses high as 1-11.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: He went back side off 10 cans, 160 miles an hour to left center for a home with the other day.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: And he's just 21 years old.
- 40:06[SPEAKER_00]: So you get this plus plus speed above average bats a ball and sneaky power.
- 40:09[SPEAKER_00]: I think you and could be, you know, really, really fun player to watch is well in monitor.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I think there's a reason why the meds were okay trading jet Williams,
- 40:18[SPEAKER_04]: That, what, what is your next number?
- 40:20[SPEAKER_04]: You know, that 14 or 14 are we got 17?
- 40:23[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, up to 17.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_04]: All right, number 17.
- 40:26[SPEAKER_04]: This guy right here.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_04]: I honestly, and I put a star by his name.
- 40:30[SPEAKER_04]: Three stars, actually.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_04]: And I've been high on him.
- 40:33[SPEAKER_04]: I think I was, I don't say I was higher on him than you were originally.
- 40:36[SPEAKER_04]: I think you've kind of come around on him a bit.
- 40:38[SPEAKER_04]: But I think this guy looked at his stats again.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_04]: The dude is just hit everywhere he's gone.
- 40:43[SPEAKER_04]: And he's a freak athlete.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_04]: He's got again the potential to be a 30 30 kind of guy.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_04]: I love it.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_04]: I could see this guy push to be the number one prospect in baseball.
- 40:53[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, OK.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_04]: I could see him push for number one, but clearly top five in the hobby is on him.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_04]: They now have woken up, Nate George.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_04]: Nate George, the potential there is meteoric.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_04]: And again,
- 41:07[SPEAKER_04]: He's one of those guys that's just done it at every level so far, and it'll be interesting this year to see if he does it again What he has done last year?
- 41:15[SPEAKER_04]: He will be top five next year.
- 41:18[SPEAKER_04]: So that's I've got an eight George at number 17 18 he's probably my favorite guy that I and I'm trying not to get stuck in this trap right now Because these guys are extremely dangerous because they're expensive, but these got high upside
- 41:31[SPEAKER_04]: is Joe Swargin's Alice.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_04]: I absolutely do love Joe Swargin's Alice's upside, but there's also a lot of risk there because we haven't seen him much in any other level.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_04]: But he's clearly got tremendous talent.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_04]: He again could be a top 10 guy next year.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he's easily.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_04]: If he ends up being what he's supposed to be.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_04]: Number 19, I got Joe Joe Parker.
- 41:49[SPEAKER_04]: I was watching him hit the other day.
- 41:51[SPEAKER_04]: The dude can rip.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's going to be, I think he's going to be a great player.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_04]: He's maybe too expensive already, but I do like Jojo Parker in my number 20.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_04]: And I think he's getting slept on Tyson Lewis, tremendous power.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously there could be some holes there in the game, but when he, when somebody hits that kind of, that kind of exit below, that he's got, and if he can connect, I think there could be some hobby hype there, so I've got Tyson Lewis in number 20.
- 42:16[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, I think George, if he can make a slight swing adjustment, it'll help him in double A, a good bit, but he's just an athlete just competing out there, and he had so much success last year.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_00]: Louis has got to cut the chase rate from like 40% but to your point, it's some of the best rock power we saw on the lower levels.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so all all exciting guys, me contiro is at 17, we we're already talked about him.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_00]: One name that we didn't shout is Caleb Bonamer and the white socks have a guy here.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_00]: Bonamer had a fan.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: season.
- 42:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's overlooked because of the white socks thing.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_00]: That organization's not going to get worse.
- 42:46[SPEAKER_00]: They're actually getting better up there at the Big League level and I think they're doing some good things out through the minor leagues.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: Super patient above average bats a ball and he hits a ball hard in the air consistently as a 19 year old last year he matched between low way and high at the end of the year and I know that they rave about him over there.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's got some sneaky speed as well.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a fan of Bonhamers, I think he's going to be a guy that really rises up the ranks.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: I had Seth Hernandez at 19, and we already talked about him a little bit as well, and then one bar for me was at 20.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: I think there's a chance where one bar doesn't quite reach the ceiling, but the four is already so high, I'm with the defense, and the approach is elite, so it's just a matter of getting into that power a little bit more consistent with.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: So, Aaron, I missed your 17.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_00]: 17 for me was Cantaro.
- 43:32[SPEAKER_01]: Quintaro, okay.
- 43:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was right in all this down.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: So you didn't put George in your top 20?
- 43:36[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_04]: Woo!
- 43:38[SPEAKER_04]: You keep sliding my boy.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_04]: You keep sliding him.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_04]: This is my new Spencer Jones.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_04]: George, you're sliding him.
- 43:44[SPEAKER_04]: All right, remove it all.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm sorry.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_04]: Again, as Ham said, I cheated here, because I went 30 names.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_04]: I'm gonna roll through, you got any more names.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_04]: I'll go through my names.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_01]: All right, I'm gonna roll through just 21, 2, 3.
- 43:57[SPEAKER_04]: But in hot cakes, all right, if anybody knows me, I tell myself I'm going to buy 10 prospects and I buy 40.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 44:04[SPEAKER_04]: I love them all.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_04]: I love I love a lot of them.
- 44:07[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to roll through some other guys that I really love here.
- 44:08[SPEAKER_04]: And I've got three stores on this guy.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_04]: I put my money on my mouth is on this guy.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_04]: Hobby is waking up on him.
- 44:13[SPEAKER_04]: They slept on him last year, but disperring people realize,
- 44:17[SPEAKER_04]: This guy's good.
- 44:18[SPEAKER_04]: That's Brad Montgomery.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_04]: A brain Montgomery for the white socks is going to be a really good player.
- 44:23[SPEAKER_04]: He can hit.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to get a chance.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_04]: He's showing the spring.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_04]: He can hit and so I love Brad Montgomery.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_04]: When he was with a red socks, his profile was really high.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_04]: I got traded the white socks.
- 44:33[SPEAKER_04]: They dropped down his card values.
- 44:35[SPEAKER_04]: Now the values are starting to come up because people realize the ability.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_04]: Number 22 is a guy that there's no Bowman card for yet, but there will be.
- 44:42[SPEAKER_04]: And I will be buying a lot of them because of his pedigree.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_04]: is Ethan Holiday.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_04]: I think Ethan Holiday is a boomer was a big a boomer busking anybody.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_04]: He could be in the top 10 on this list easily.
- 44:53[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, if he hits the the boom, so I've got Ethan Holiday there.
- 44:57[SPEAKER_04]: 23 had Bonner, which you've already mentioned.
- 45:01[SPEAKER_04]: 24 another guy love hobby is kind of slept on the start and wake up to him.
- 45:06[SPEAKER_04]: I've shouted him out for a year.
- 45:09[SPEAKER_04]: Shame on me for not being more buying more of his cards.
- 45:11[SPEAKER_04]: I'm just starting to because he's still too cheap.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_04]: Bo Davidson Hell of an athlete again like Nate George has performed at every level right even though he's gotten very little hype I have him at 24 I have Franklin areas at 25 Ethan Conrad at 26.
- 45:25[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I like that
- 45:27[SPEAKER_04]: That could also be a guy that's higher.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_04]: I could see you think Conrad being, I think Ethan Conrad's almost a Roman Anthony type.
- 45:33[SPEAKER_04]: Kind of gets slid in back, but he can has a huge tremendous hit tool.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_04]: I could see you think Conrad in the future being get that Roman Anthony kind of hype later on when when people finally wake up to him.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_04]: I have Sebastian Wolcott dropping to 27 because the injury, I just think people will move him back because of the injury, I still love Wolcott, I just think, and obviously his card values are going to fall.
- 45:54[SPEAKER_04]: And I do want to mention with Walker Jenkins, now it's probably the best opportunity in the next months ahead to buy his cards as it would this injury.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_04]: People are going to dump him because they're going to say, man, they got against the healthy.
- 46:05[SPEAKER_04]: So Wolcott at 27, 28,
- 46:07[SPEAKER_04]: Kevin to Frank.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_04]: The Marlins.
- 46:10[SPEAKER_04]: I do's got a rocket for an arm.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_04]: I love him as a low low-cost high-up side option.
- 46:16[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a big in 17 year old ever seen in my life, by the way.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: I'm walking by him in Marlins camp.
- 46:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's a monster.
- 46:22[SPEAKER_04]: He's a beast.
- 46:23[SPEAKER_04]: Number 29, I bought his super last night.
- 46:28[SPEAKER_04]: Little Matt's in it to me, actually.
- 46:29[SPEAKER_04]: I believe in this guy, I've been buying his stuff in the whole little Matt's Senate to me last night.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_04]: I've been buying him heavily, silently.
- 46:37[SPEAKER_04]: And this is this episode sucks because I'm giving up a lot of ammunition.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_04]: But Kane, Capley, has been one of my guys.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you want that card?
- 46:45[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I did.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_04]: I was trying to win that.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_04]: So I was trying to win that.
- 46:51[SPEAKER_04]: That was, you were, I was trying to win a beard.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_04]: You weren't going to, you weren't going to be my $8,500 max off.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my, I was really to pay $8,500 for it.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_01]: All right, and you met.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_01]: Arm, this is Bubba Wilson, if y'all met before.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_01]: Guys, we're getting a name right here.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_00]: We got a core, we got a coordinate here because then I want to just, instead of driving your bed up, I want to split it with you or something like that.
- 47:12[SPEAKER_00]: He calls me a grandma, isn't I, man?
- 47:13[SPEAKER_00]: I agree though.
- 47:14[SPEAKER_00]: He is so safe.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: He gives me Brett Gardner vibes.
- 47:19[SPEAKER_04]: I'll tell you what, right now, if the three of y'all, I'll tell you what we'll do if y'all want in.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_04]: Ham, arm, and yeah, we all put all the money in.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_04]: We all put the split the equal value.
- 47:28[SPEAKER_04]: We all put our money in on this guy.
- 47:43[SPEAKER_04]: Are you in?
- 47:44[SPEAKER_04]: 15.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_04]: You in?
- 47:46[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we'll ride.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_04]: King Kepley suit, we're putting our money where our mouth is here on the show.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_04]: King Kepley, group card, ratter down.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_04]: This is my, this is my guide.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_04]: I almost didn't say it on the show.
- 47:57[SPEAKER_04]: Because, and I'm really still regretting it in this moment that I'm even gonna say his name, that even others out of my mouth, because I have silently been buying literally every color in sight.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_04]: I'm buying all the fins.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_04]: I've been, and I'm not really telling many people about them.
- 48:13[SPEAKER_04]: And I have mentioned it to Arom and Arom sleeping a little bit on my boy.
- 48:17[SPEAKER_04]: This guy and I watched something this morning that makes me love him even more.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_04]: And young for the minutes of the twins.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_04]: Quentin Young is foot six foot six.
- 48:30[SPEAKER_04]: 230 240 pounds, playing shortstop.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_04]: It looks like Vladimir Guerrero swing, but he's six inches taller, and he's rocked up.
- 48:39[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, rocked up as a junior in high school, he was hitting ball's 110, 115 mile per hour.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_04]: with a wooden bat.
- 48:46[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, and in some of these, and he didn't hit the try out before the combine.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_04]: He had a little bit of a struggle, and they say the dude's work ethic is off.
- 48:55[SPEAKER_04]: There's his coach said you've never seen a guy workholder in this guy.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_04]: He comes from a pedigree of his family of that they've been major league baseball players.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_04]: The dude's body is ridiculous.
- 49:06[SPEAKER_04]: His exit bellows.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_04]: We're talking about a guy that's got
- 49:15[SPEAKER_04]: There's not very many of those people in this world, okay, and he is here, and he is trading like he sucks in the Bowman market, okay, when his goals are selling for three or four hundred bucks, it's criminal.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_04]: He is the, it is a criminal offense that he is going so cheap for the upside.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not saying that he's going to be a Hall of Famer, but I'm telling you when you've got somebody that's got Ellie type upside as far as why they hit the ball and he's trading at like he's free.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_04]: Quentin Young's my favorite buy in all a major league baseball right now.
- 49:47[SPEAKER_04]: Okay for the for the upside you could go to zero with Quentin Young.
- 49:51[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, I want to make sure I say that you could you could go to zero, but you could also be buying a gold for $400.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_04]: in itself for $10,000 sharing about two years.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_04]: He is the ultimate lottery ticket, but the exit bellows are real.
- 50:04[SPEAKER_04]: The work ethic is real.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_04]: I'm all in a quick, young.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_04]: If you have a high end, quit, young, you want to sell it.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_04]: Sell it to me.
- 50:10[SPEAKER_04]: I will buy it.
- 50:11[SPEAKER_04]: I will instantly pay you.
- 50:12[SPEAKER_04]: I just instantly pay you by the way.
- 50:15[SPEAKER_04]: Awesome, sweet.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_04]: The last three, like little stars I had for wild cards on my list.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_04]: I actually had a couple more, but I'm going to say three.
- 50:24[SPEAKER_04]: I love Dakota Jordan.
- 50:25[SPEAKER_04]: He gets no love on any list.
- 50:27[SPEAKER_04]: The dude just keeps to hit the mint.
- 50:28[SPEAKER_04]: They calm the mini bow Jackson for the San Francisco Giants.
- 50:32[SPEAKER_04]: The dude can rip.
- 50:33[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_04]: The dude can hit.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_04]: He continues to hit at every level.
- 50:37[SPEAKER_04]: The other one is Johnny from Lowe.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_04]: He's going to have a year this year where he's actually hopefully healthy.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_04]: the potential is off the charts.
- 50:43[SPEAKER_04]: We can stay healthy and my last guy on the list is a meal moraleus.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_04]: A meal moraleus is hit at every level.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_04]: Okay, yes, and this is a big year for meal moraleus.
- 50:52[SPEAKER_04]: If a meal moraleus plays like he's played the last two years, a meal moraleus will be in the top 15 next year.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_04]: no doubt about it.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_04]: He will be on this list that we just went through.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_04]: And so that is the end of my gift giving, giving my giveaways of some of my favorites.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_01]: I love it.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_01]: You know, I love this version of Bubba because Bubba, Bubba gets so excited about us prospects.
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: He's like,
- 51:14[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to tell you about this guy.
- 51:16[SPEAKER_01]: He's six, 14.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_01]: And he's called it 900 miles an hour.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like a dummy.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_01]: Have you eaten for us?
- 51:24[SPEAKER_01]: He's eating tonight, the mountain shake.
- 51:27[SPEAKER_01]: I'm every card.
- 51:30[SPEAKER_00]: I love it dude, I do love putting young anybody that didn't make your list are on that you with had made your list.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_00]: Dax Killby, I wish I could have like snuck him in there.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_00]: It's felt weird put it in over one bar at this point, but it wouldn't shock me by the end of the year.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then a non-prospect that I would just be buying stock in is cool young.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_00]: The Mariners are obsessed with this guy.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: I know that he doesn't look as exciting.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: There is framedifying pop there and no he's graduated from prospect status.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: I just wanted to shout him out as a guy that's going to have a big year this year.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_00]: Um, and I mean, they were saying no to him in some trades that could have been franchise all trying from things that I've heard, and it's because they really believe in this guy's keep an eye out for Cole Young this year just for much from my mental health on Quentin Young so we can finish this topic just from mental health purposes.
- 52:14[SPEAKER_04]: All right, give me your absolute boom and bust of Quentin Young, give me your worst case scenario, Quentin Young, give me your best case scenario.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_04]: And then we're going to go back on this one day.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
- 52:23[SPEAKER_04]: We're going to just think about this wisely.
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: Worst case scenario is that he instantly strikes out 40% of the time in low A this year.
- 52:30[SPEAKER_04]: Best of the lives of green.
- 52:31[SPEAKER_04]: He's a lives of green.
- 52:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 52:33[SPEAKER_00]: That would say that's a fair worst case scenario.
- 52:35[SPEAKER_00]: Best case scenario is he is like James he mentioned.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's fair.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's possible.
- 52:42[SPEAKER_00]: He's the work ethic thing gives me a lot of excitement because then guys with those tools, sometimes baseball came so easy to them before pro ball.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: When they hit adversity, they don't really know what to do with themselves.
- 52:55[SPEAKER_00]: I think if it all works out, it can be one of the craziest athletes in 6, 5, 2, 30.
- 53:01[SPEAKER_00]: And he can run like the wind.
- 53:02[SPEAKER_00]: And I can imagine he can hit the living crap out of the ball.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_00]: It could be that only ill-cruised type.
- 53:05[SPEAKER_00]: But there's also a real scenario where he just strikes out so much.
- 53:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's brutal.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_00]: That's those guys I get nervous from.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_00]: But Bubba, you are headstrong.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: And you are not afraid of whiff.
- 53:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I like that.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_04]: Let me ask you this, if you could buy a Quentin Young for $99 for $60 today and you could go put it in a box by one or two of them and you put them in a box and you just forgot about it in it worth it for $60.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_01]: We need T-shirts made arm by the way.
- 53:33[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, by you.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_01]: It says Bubba's not afraid of it.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_04]: but with the audit rate of whiff guys is honestly this has been my favorite episode that we've ever recorded I absolutely I live for this I really do love I do I love this stuff the prospecting prospecting and talking about them and researching them and then what waiting gives you so much anticipation yeah like what's gonna happen now
- 54:03[SPEAKER_01]: Well, friends, we appreciate you guys tuning in.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_01]: I know this was a multifaceted episode.

- 54:18[SPEAKER_01]: I love it, dude.
- 54:19[SPEAKER_04]: We don't have the likes in the terms, boys.
