Feds Buy 4,500 Detention Beds in CA | US News
The Department of Homeland Security just spent $1.5 billion to buy two massive immigrant detention centers in California — one with 2,500 beds, the other with nearly 2,000 — effectively pulling over 4,500 beds out of private hands and into federal control.
