- 0:05Speaker 1: Kash Betel says he's shutting down the FBI's DC headquarters
- 0:08Speaker 1: and moving staff across the country. Should other government agencies
- 0:12Speaker 1: be doing the same. That's an interesting proposition. I'm not
- 0:16Speaker 1: against that from the GIT for any reason. I mean,
- 0:18Speaker 1: if everything probably is too concentrated in Washington, it's a
- 0:21Speaker 1: little too incestuous, right, Uh.
- 0:24Speaker 2: I have a take on this about the media. I
- 0:26Speaker 2: think news organizations should incorporate more bureaus outside of New York,
- 0:30Speaker 2: LA and well totally and Cincinnati and wherever because the bias,
- 0:38Speaker 2: the bias in media can't I'm sure you would agree,
- 0:41Speaker 2: can be liberal, but it's like less political to me
- 0:43Speaker 2: than it is cultural and class based. And you know,
- 0:47Speaker 2: I just hire more reporters in Des Moines.
- 0:51Speaker 3: You know, I think that Vince would would would back
- 0:53Speaker 3: be on this. Terry had a really good uh he
- 0:56Speaker 3: could read the room quite well. That's what made him
- 0:59Speaker 3: one of the best workers ever is he could literally
- 1:02Speaker 3: read the room. He could work the room, he could
- 1:03Speaker 3: read the room. And so you know, he never really
- 1:06Speaker 3: dabbled in the politic you know, the political world too much.
- 1:09Speaker 3: But when you know, he when Donald Trump, I think
- 1:12Speaker 3: was going to be the guy you know, Terry aligned
- 1:15Speaker 3: himself perfectly. You know, he had some projects coming up
- 1:18Speaker 3: that would make us brand, make Terry's brand even stronger
- 1:21Speaker 3: with that large of a stage being on the RNC.
- 1:24Speaker 3: He nailed it, He absolutely nailed it.
- 1:28Speaker 1: And it tells of how a married couple who are
- 1:31Speaker 1: exactly the portrait of a liberal white couple living in Parks,
- 1:35Speaker 1: Brooklyn that you would expect wind up moving upstate and
- 1:39Speaker 1: then are surrounded by Trumpers and they're petrified. But then
- 1:44Speaker 1: when they get stuck in the snow, the Trump guy
- 1:47Speaker 1: down the street doesn't hesitate to help dig the liberals out.
- 1:51Speaker 1: The author, Larissa Phillips says she slowly came to reject
- 1:54Speaker 1: the political prejudice so common among my tribe, and that
- 1:59Speaker 1: it's hard to care where someone stands on politics when
- 2:02Speaker 1: they race to your house to save a dying lamb,
- 2:05Speaker 1: when their wife helps search for your runaway dogs, and
- 2:08Speaker 1: that she personally has been stunned by the depth of
- 2:12Speaker 1: my neighbour's generosity. It's almost like there are fine people
- 2:16Speaker 1: on both sides.
- 2:18Speaker 4: Sir, while we have you, I want to talk about
- 2:19Speaker 4: some personnel moves within some agencies and departments within the
- 2:23Speaker 4: federal government, and just kind of touch on something you
- 2:26Speaker 4: just mentioned that you are frankly skeptical of executive power.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I want to talk about executive power being wielded right
- 2:33Speaker 4: now at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve.
- 2:36Speaker 4: That right there is Lisa Cook. She's on the Board
- 2:39Speaker 4: of Governors. The president fired her. She's vowing to keep
- 2:42Speaker 4: her job there. She has countersued does the president have
- 2:46Speaker 4: authority to fire members of the FED board?
- 2:48Speaker 5: Not a teetotaler, I really think that people should do
- 2:50Speaker 5: as they wish but know what they're doing. But in
- 2:52Speaker 5: terms of increasing your risk of cancer, especially for women
- 2:54Speaker 5: in breast cancer, it's unequivocal. And there's yet another study
- 2:59Speaker 5: this week that shows that you and moderate drinking is bad.
- 3:01Speaker 5: If you enjoy drinking, just limit it and do a
- 3:03Speaker 5: bunch of other things like get your morning sunlight, get
- 3:05Speaker 5: your exercise, eat well to offset to offset the damage
- 3:08Speaker 5: you're doing.
- 3:09Speaker 1: How many drinks you every day?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Apparently way too many.
- 3:17Speaker 6: You willow to enjoy my life, but it will be
- 3:19Speaker 6: a shorter one.
- 3:20Speaker 1: I love you for the information, but you're depressing the
- 3:22Speaker 1: hell out.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Of the many others.
- 3:26Speaker 7: Yeah, Huntsville Space Calm will play a key role in
- 3:30Speaker 7: building the Golden Dome. As you know, that's going to
- 3:32Speaker 7: be a big thing. Everybody wants to be a participant
- 3:35Speaker 7: in it. Missile defense shield. We're going to be having
- 3:39Speaker 7: a golden Dome that the likes of which nobody's ever
- 3:42Speaker 7: seen before, the finest, the best, and by the way,
- 3:45Speaker 7: Canada call they want to be a part of it,
- 3:47Speaker 7: and that'll be great. But Canada wants very much to
- 3:49Speaker 7: be included in that. Then we're going to work something
- 3:52Speaker 7: out with them. I hope we will also ensure that
- 3:55Speaker 7: are technological capabilities of which we're way ahead of anybody
- 4:00Speaker 7: else's nobody close remain unmatched long into the futures.
- 4:04Speaker 1: As someone who's considering a Senate run to replace him,
- 4:08Speaker 1: what you're not. Usually when someone puts out a book,
- 4:13Speaker 1: it means they're going to run for office. Not always,
- 4:15Speaker 1: but that always.
- 4:16Speaker 8: Is he is writing a book. The fastest way to
- 4:18Speaker 8: get rich in America right now, No, you.
- 4:23Speaker 1: Don't get rich writing books.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I need to tell you, Broo.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Anyway, what do you believe? What do you believe will
- 4:30Speaker 1: be Mitch McConnell's legacy. I guess that's who you be replacing,
- 4:33Speaker 1: right when you run for Senate if you run for
- 4:35Speaker 1: cent it.
- 4:38Speaker 9: There's a great clip doing the rounds, I think on
- 4:41Speaker 9: TikTok or something, and it's of a little boy who's
- 4:43Speaker 9: come dressed as Hulk, and he's kind of engaging with
- 4:46Speaker 9: him as the whole character, and Hulk immediately recognizes what
- 4:50Speaker 9: this kid is doing and joins in wholehearted. And it's
- 4:54Speaker 9: a very simple sort of exchange in many ways, but
- 4:56Speaker 9: it showed to me how fundamentally he viewed that relationship
- 5:01Speaker 9: between himself and his fans, particularly young fans who you know,
- 5:06Speaker 9: genuinely brought into all this.
- 5:08Speaker 8: Yet four generations of fans, it just kept translating from
- 5:12Speaker 8: one generation to the next, which is so hard to do.
- 5:15Speaker 1: Finally, new role, Can we please not let politics fuck
- 5:18Speaker 1: up the holidays? Anybody with me on this? I mean
- 5:28Speaker 1: half the country is moping. Half can't stop gloating enough.
- 5:31Speaker 1: It's fucking Christmas and you will act like it tis
- 5:36Speaker 1: the season and all that. I don't want to read
- 5:39Speaker 1: any more articles like the one about the Trump loving
- 5:42Speaker 1: county sheriff in Ohio who posted on Facebook before the election,
- 5:47Speaker 1: if you support the Democratic Party, I will not help you. Well.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Thank you for your service. Worst responder, and I wonder
- 6:00Speaker 1: the side of your patrol car says to protect and swerve. Hey, asshole,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it's your job to help people, all people, not just
- 6:10Speaker 1: the ones you agree with.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Is that something that you agree with? Do you agree
- 6:13Speaker 4: with this court's decision today?
- 6:17Speaker 10: Well, three things just off the top. I Number one,
- 6:19Speaker 10: I have generally been skeptical of executive power. I certainly
- 6:23Speaker 10: was under Obama and Biden, and so I don't mind
- 6:25Speaker 10: a court taking a hard look at what powers the
- 6:28Speaker 10: president has. I want to read the decision, of course,
- 6:31Speaker 10: before I decide. But President Trump is absolutely right that
- 6:34Speaker 10: there are countries that have been treated as incredibly unfairly
- 6:38Speaker 10: from a non tariff trade barrier perspective. I'm not a
- 6:42Speaker 10: fan of our country having high terraffs as a permanent
- 6:45Speaker 10: part of the economic condition. And yet I understand what
- 6:48Speaker 10: the President's trying to do. He's trying to use the
- 6:49Speaker 10: threat of those terrafts to get a more level playing field.
- 6:53Speaker 10: I understand exactly the target he's aiming at.
- 6:55Speaker 5: This is one of the most important discoveries in the
- 6:57Speaker 5: last twenty years.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Is that where our immune system is, it signals to
- 7:00Speaker 1: our immune system all over our body.
- 7:02Speaker 5: But a lot of things are made by those bacteria
- 7:05Speaker 5: that what are called short chain fatty acids. The signaling
- 7:08Speaker 5: for serotonin production in your brain, All that stuff originates
- 7:11Speaker 5: in the gut. This is and it's counterintuitive. It goes
- 7:13Speaker 5: back to our earlier discussion about mind body connection. You
- 7:15Speaker 5: would think, oh, you know how I feel. Everything about
- 7:17Speaker 5: that is above the neck. No, the body is signaling
- 7:19Speaker 5: the brain. The brain is signaling the body. The best
- 7:21Speaker 5: way to support your gut microbiome is to ingest enough
- 7:24Speaker 5: fiber vegetables and fruits, but also if you can to
- 7:28Speaker 5: ingest some low sugar fermented foods. People immediately say beer, No,
- 7:32Speaker 5: not beer.
- 7:32Speaker 7: This will result in more than thirty thousand Alabama jobs
- 7:35Speaker 7: and probably much more than that, and hundreds of millions
- 7:38Speaker 7: of dollars of investment. And that's billions because it can't
- 7:41Speaker 7: be millions. It's billions and billions of dollars. Most importantly,
- 7:44Speaker 7: this decision will help America defend and dominate the high Frontier,
- 7:49Speaker 7: as they call it. I want to thank Secretary Pete Hegseth.
- 7:53Speaker 7: He's doing a fantastic job. And Secretary of the Air
- 7:56Speaker 7: Force Troy make Troy, thank you very much. Great, up
- 8:00Speaker 7: you're doing, Troy, this is such a big deal.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Anyway, what do you believe? What do you believe will
- 8:07Speaker 1: be Mitch McConnell's legacy. I guess that's who you'd be replacing,
- 8:10Speaker 1: right when you run for Senate, if you run for cent.
- 8:13Speaker 8: It he's uh, yeah, he's up in twenty six Supreme Court.
- 8:19Speaker 8: I mean, without question, and he had a long career
- 8:20Speaker 8: forty two years, won seven elections in Kentucky. But without question,
- 8:24Speaker 8: I think his legacy is the Court, specifically the Supreme Court.
- 8:27Speaker 8: If he doesn't hold that seat open in the twenty
- 8:30Speaker 8: sixteen election, I'm not sure President Trump would have won,
- 8:33Speaker 8: And then the cascade appointments that have followed will change
- 8:36Speaker 8: the course of this country for generation.
- 8:38Speaker 4: Do you worry that, you know, whether the decision comes
- 8:40Speaker 4: down whatever it may be, that the president kind of
- 8:45Speaker 4: mingling into the independence of setting monetary policy at the
- 8:49Speaker 4: Federal Reserve, that this will be kind of tinged with
- 8:52Speaker 4: politics going forward. Do you worry about the Fed's independence
- 8:55Speaker 4: in the wake of all this.
- 8:57Speaker 10: I do like the idea of an end and FED.
- 9:00Speaker 10: That being said, I think some of the pearl clutching
- 9:03Speaker 10: concerns about the President's moves have been a little overwrought.
- 9:07Speaker 10: You look at the markets. The markets have not expressed
- 9:11Speaker 10: high levels of concern about what's going on yet, and
- 9:15Speaker 10: so I think we need to let this play out
- 9:17Speaker 10: of it.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Okay, there's a great article that came out in the
- 9:24Speaker 1: Free Press this year by someone who learned this firsthand.
- 9:28Speaker 1: It's called whatever Happens Love Thy Neighbor, and it tells
- 9:32Speaker 1: of how a married couple who are exactly the portrait
- 9:35Speaker 1: of a liberal white couple living in Parks, Brooklyn that
- 9:39Speaker 1: you would expect wind up moving upstate and then are
- 9:42Speaker 1: surrounded by Trumpers and they're petrified. But then when they
- 9:48Speaker 1: get stuck in the snow, the Trump guy down the
- 9:51Speaker 1: street doesn't hesitate to help dig the liberals out.
- 9:53Speaker 5: A lot of our hunger mechanisms arise in the gut
- 9:56Speaker 5: when you eat sugar sugar foods. Independent of the taste
- 9:59Speaker 5: of those gree foods, those sugary foods act on cells
- 10:02Speaker 5: in your gut that communicate with the dopamine system of
- 10:04Speaker 5: your brain, the desire centers in your brain, and cause
- 10:07Speaker 5: you to want to eat more. Try this so the
- 10:08Speaker 5: next time you eat something it's kind of bad or
- 10:10Speaker 5: you have a scoop of ice cream or something, or
- 10:11Speaker 5: you have a piece of chocolate, delicious chocolate. One of
- 10:14Speaker 5: the first subjective experiences you have is more, I want more,
- 10:19Speaker 5: not oh, I'm relishing in the taste of it. So
- 10:22Speaker 5: th sugar fermented foods are the best way to go.
- 10:24Speaker 6: I think Americans ought to appreciate and aught to appreciate
- 10:27Speaker 6: the fact that you can't win the Battle of the
- 10:29Speaker 6: future unless you control the skies, the cyber security, the communications,
- 10:34Speaker 6: the entire infrastructure of the battle in the twenty first
- 10:37Speaker 6: century will be in space. So it was a visionary
- 10:39Speaker 6: move in the first administration for the president to set
- 10:42Speaker 6: up Space Force, and I think an equally visionary move
- 10:44Speaker 6: to make sure that Space Force is right where it
- 10:46Speaker 6: should be in Huntsville, Alabama. Thank you, sir, Thank you, gentlemen.
- 10:50Speaker 5: Anybody want to say anything, would you like to say,
- 10:52Speaker 5: mister President, another promise made, another promise, kept you think
- 10:57Speaker 5: about it. Redstone Arsenal is critical to national security.
- 11:00Speaker 8: The President said when you were the forty fifth president,
- 11:03Speaker 8: let's do what's right for national security.
- 11:05Speaker 3: And today that's exactly what we're doing.
