- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Hello, Big Blue Nation, Welcome to Just the Cats. My
- 0:17Speaker 2: name is Michael Bennett on this Friday, April seventeenth, which
- 0:22Speaker 2: is wow. That was kind of funky how the music
- 0:24Speaker 2: just stopped right there immediately. But anyway, it's me and
- 0:30Speaker 2: Justin Kylen today on this end of the week show,
- 0:33Speaker 2: which I'm excited for because lots of things are beginning
- 0:37Speaker 2: to happen on one of my favorite times a year.
- 0:39Speaker 2: But if you want to call in, you can do
- 0:41Speaker 2: that at five two three eight four fourteen fifty. You
- 0:43Speaker 2: want to text in on the Whiskey Thief text line,
- 0:45Speaker 2: you can do that at five O two four to
- 0:47Speaker 2: one four fourteen fifty. Or you can tweet me at
- 0:50Speaker 2: Just the Cat Radio. As my good friend over there
- 0:52Speaker 2: has a really good looking hat on which I like,
- 0:56Speaker 2: the Sceny kill Stable hat, which you're rocking it pretty
- 1:00Speaker 2: much on a regular basis there, and I'm I'm really
- 1:02Speaker 2: proud of you for doing that were about once a week.
- 1:04Speaker 2: It's good looking at it. How you do it is
- 1:07Speaker 2: a good looking hat. And you know, my good friend
- 1:10Speaker 2: Tyler Robertson, who was the artist for the Kentucky Derby
- 1:13Speaker 2: last year came up with the logo and the silks
- 1:17Speaker 2: and uh and I really am very proud of that.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So yeah, if you want to go check it out,
- 1:24Speaker 2: you can go to scenic Kill Stable dot com, which
- 1:27Speaker 2: is the street I grew up on, Scenic Kill that
- 1:30Speaker 2: my mom named so but just it's just really cool.
- 1:33Speaker 2: So I love that, I, you know, honor my parents
- 1:35Speaker 2: that way. But anyway, yeah, go check it out. You
- 1:38Speaker 2: can see great pictures of me. I don't like. Is
- 1:43Speaker 2: that one of the things you like or dislike having done?
- 1:47Speaker 2: I can honestly tell you that there are a number
- 1:51Speaker 2: of people out there that cannot stand getting their picture taken,
- 1:56Speaker 2: and then there's a lot of people out there that
- 1:59Speaker 2: absolutely love and thrive when they get their picture taken.
- 2:02Speaker 2: So I had to go to a party last night,
- 2:05Speaker 2: a relatively big party here in Louisville. You got to go? No,
- 2:10Speaker 2: I had to go? You? No, I had to go? Was?
- 2:14Speaker 2: I reluctantly went? How's that is that? Better? No? You
- 2:17Speaker 2: got to go? Why did I get to go? That's
- 2:20Speaker 2: just should be your mindset. Okay, Well, I appreciate what
- 2:23Speaker 2: you're saying. I had to go, though, think of all
- 2:26Speaker 2: the people didn't get to go. I didn't want to
- 2:29Speaker 2: go again, you know, me with crowds, and this place
- 2:34Speaker 2: was over five hundred, probably close to six hundred people there, Jesus,
- 2:39Speaker 2: and I didn't want to be there. I just I'm
- 2:41Speaker 2: in my mind. I'm thinking I want to get out
- 2:43Speaker 2: of here. My wife said, Michael, while you were here,
- 2:46Speaker 2: I want to get some pictures of you with Tyler
- 2:52Speaker 2: Robinson because he was showing off his art, and I
- 2:54Speaker 2: want to get some pictures of you and me. And
- 2:57Speaker 2: then all of a sudden, there's more pictures of other
- 3:00Speaker 2: people with me, and I'm like, I don't like this.
- 3:04Speaker 2: I don't want this. Please stop this. And the more
- 3:08Speaker 2: I said it, the matter she got at me. She goes,
- 3:10Speaker 2: you better be smiling in these pictures. Do you remember
- 3:14Speaker 2: how upset I got with you when you were talking
- 3:17Speaker 2: about there is no professional sports in soccer? And I
- 3:21Speaker 2: mean she really, I mean in Louisville, and she really
- 3:24Speaker 2: got upset with me about that. She reminded me of
- 3:26Speaker 2: it yesterday and I said, yes, ma'am. I She goes,
- 3:30Speaker 2: I am buying tickets for you, Matthew and Justin to
- 3:35Speaker 2: go to a soccer game. And I'm like crap man,
- 3:38Speaker 2: of course am I. I'm like, I can't wait Patricia
- 3:42Speaker 2: and have cotton candy. So I, oh they do? They do?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Now I am happy? Okay, I will be going to
- 3:50Speaker 2: that soccer game in hopes of getting my cotton candy fill.
- 3:55Speaker 2: But I do you like? Going back to my main question,
- 3:59Speaker 2: do you like getting your pick you're taking?
- 4:02Speaker 3: Yeah, to a certain extent, yes, Now, if I'm in
- 4:05Speaker 3: a situation like you were, where it sounds like you
- 4:07Speaker 3: were just being requested to get picture after picture after
- 4:11Speaker 3: picture to keep your wife happy, yeah, that scenario can
- 4:15Speaker 3: get kind of annoying. But if it's just a few
- 4:17Speaker 3: here or there, yeah, I like having my picture, you do.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I don't now I don't like it as much as
- 4:21Speaker 3: I used to do because I am about seventy five
- 4:24Speaker 3: pounds fatter than I used to be, right, I used
- 4:27Speaker 3: to like to look at myselves a lot more in pictures.
- 4:30Speaker 2: But yeah, it's still fine. See I used to as
- 4:33Speaker 2: a little kid, I loved getting my picture taken, and
- 4:36Speaker 2: I would when my sister, who's ten years older than me,
- 4:40Speaker 2: would go to school and I wouldn't in school yet,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I would literally start crying that she was leaving me.
- 4:45Speaker 2: And my mom would always say, Michael, I'm going to
- 4:47Speaker 2: get the camera out, let's take a picture. And you see,
- 4:50Speaker 2: they have pictures of me with tears in my eyes
- 4:53Speaker 2: as I'm trying to smile for the camera. And then
- 4:55Speaker 2: what was so funny, They had to take my picture
- 4:57Speaker 2: so much that there would be no film in the camera,
- 5:00Speaker 2: and so she would be taking my picture and my
- 5:02Speaker 2: mom knew there was no film in the camera. It's
- 5:04Speaker 2: like things a lot. Mom. That was just an evil
- 5:06Speaker 2: thing to do to me. But no, I don't like it.
- 5:08Speaker 2: You know, my good friend Vince was there last night.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Vince Marrow, so the big dogs walking around. He settled
- 5:14Speaker 2: me down because he knew he goes you okay, I said,
- 5:16Speaker 2: I don't want to be around this crowd. He goes,
- 5:18Speaker 2: just hang with me. So we walked around. You know
- 5:21Speaker 2: the best part was getting free food and drink. And
- 5:23Speaker 2: he loved this bartender last night that was giving him
- 5:26Speaker 2: the drink that he loved the most, which is vodka
- 5:30Speaker 2: and cranberry juice. That's that is his drink of choice.
- 5:35Speaker 2: And he here's the funny part about Vince Marrol. He
- 5:38Speaker 2: can tell can you do this? He can tell with
- 5:43Speaker 2: cranberry juice. What brand it is? God, no, exactly. Now
- 5:47Speaker 2: I can tell between soft drinks, but he can tell
- 5:51Speaker 2: this is brand A, this is brand B.
- 5:54Speaker 3: You know, I might be able to do that with
- 5:56Speaker 3: orange juice, but I don't. I don't drink enough cranberry
- 5:59Speaker 3: to be able to know.
- 6:00Speaker 2: I love cranberry juice, but I can't tell between orange jue.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I can't believe you do it with orange juice. I mean,
- 6:04Speaker 2: I don't. I'm not for sure that I could, but
- 6:06Speaker 2: I feel like I have a good shot. But I mean,
- 6:09Speaker 2: you know, walking around and people are like, oh, coach,
- 6:11Speaker 2: that's a big dog. You hearing it everywhere? And then
- 6:14Speaker 2: he'll goes, well, don't you know who this guy? And
- 6:16Speaker 2: he points to me, and the guy looks at me
- 6:18Speaker 2: and he goes, I know, I know, I know you.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I just can't place you. You're a trainer, Like, yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 2: that's me. I'm Todd Pletcher. I think the guy was
- 6:31Speaker 2: a little, a little on the tipsy side, but yeah,
- 6:33Speaker 2: Vins is funny about that. He'll point to me as
- 6:36Speaker 2: soon as they recognize him and want their picture, Well,
- 6:38Speaker 2: don't you know who this guy is? And nine times
- 6:40Speaker 2: out of ten, these people have no idea who I am,
- 6:42Speaker 2: which makes me smile. But then there's those couple of
- 6:45Speaker 2: that are out there, Yeah you're Michael Bennett. It's like,
- 6:47Speaker 2: oh geez, so because then then I apologize. Yeah, I
- 6:51Speaker 2: listen to your show and I apologize immediately. Why do
- 6:53Speaker 2: you listen to this? I mean a guy last night
- 6:56Speaker 2: that yeah, I know you from KSR because I know
- 6:59Speaker 2: how much they make fun of you. It's like, oh,
- 7:02Speaker 2: thanks a lot. I really appreciate that. That's that's that's
- 7:04Speaker 2: Is that a compliment or really a knock? But uh, anyway,
- 7:08Speaker 2: it was, it was it was unique. Was at the Olmstead. No, no,
- 7:18Speaker 2: it's a big place over there at the it's not
- 7:21Speaker 2: the Knights of Columbus. It's the Masonic Hone. It's where
- 7:25Speaker 2: it is. It's a huge place over there off of
- 7:28Speaker 2: Frankfurt Avenue. So right there in Saint Matthew's place school.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Have you never been there before? Now? Okay, all right,
- 7:34Speaker 2: well that's where I was last night and kind of
- 7:36Speaker 2: looks like a church really a little bit. Okay, well
- 7:40Speaker 2: it's it is a pretty place. It's an old place.
- 7:42Speaker 2: But the part I liked the most is looking at
- 7:44Speaker 2: the art. Uh that Tyler, because Tyler Robertson does mostly
- 7:50Speaker 2: equine art and that's what you know, that's my passion.
- 7:53Speaker 2: So I I enjoyed looking at his pictures. I wish
- 7:55Speaker 2: I was artistic. I I try to be. It does relax.
- 8:00Speaker 2: There's two things that relax me playing the piano, which
- 8:02Speaker 2: I'm terrible at, and painting, which I'm I'm okay at.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say I'm terrible. I'm okay, I'm horrible.
- 8:11Speaker 2: Are you really? Yeah? I love it.
- 8:12Speaker 3: My dad is My dad does all these drawings for
- 8:15Speaker 3: like decks and houses and stuff, and they're so really
- 8:18Speaker 3: they're so good, and I should take some pictures of them.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Do you keep them? He keeps them. I'm sure that's
- 8:25Speaker 3: really cool and they're awesome. But I don't have a
- 8:28Speaker 3: single artistic bone. I mean, I'm lucky if I'm coloring
- 8:31Speaker 3: a picture to stay inside the line.
- 8:33Speaker 2: Well, clearly he's artistic because he builds decks. I mean
- 8:38Speaker 2: there is artistic sides to that. Sure, So I would
- 8:41Speaker 2: say just like construction workers, guys that build houses or buildings,
- 8:47Speaker 2: they have artistic a mindset. They just do. They might
- 8:51Speaker 2: not like to admit that, but they do. I think
- 8:53Speaker 2: It's amazing what those guys, like, what your dad can do.
- 8:56Speaker 2: I wish I could do stuff like that, but it
- 8:59Speaker 2: was it was okay last night. So uh but yeah,
- 9:02Speaker 2: I just, you know what settled me downs hanging out
- 9:04Speaker 2: with Vince and that always makes me happy. It just,
- 9:07Speaker 2: you know, just it still bugs me. He's somewhere else,
- 9:10Speaker 2: but he's still my good friend. Did you have a
- 9:12Speaker 2: beverage of choice?
- 9:13Speaker 3: I did, and I had a little bit of bourbon,
- 9:17Speaker 3: just straight with a little sprite. Okay, yeah, go wrong
- 9:21Speaker 3: with a little bourbon sprite.
- 9:23Speaker 2: That's called the Colonel. I didn't know had a name.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Well it doesn't, uh in my one of my closest
- 9:29Speaker 2: friend's households, because he is a formal colonel and that's
- 9:33Speaker 2: his drink of choice. Yeah, he was a Walter Hurd
- 9:35Speaker 2: is his name. He was a former colonel in the
- 9:38Speaker 2: Special Uh. Forces. I mean he's you you know, the
- 9:42Speaker 2: definition of badass. It's it's it's lined with Walter Hurd's
- 9:46Speaker 2: face in his name. I mean, he is unfreaking, unfreaking believable.
- 9:51Speaker 2: I just can't imagine some of the stuff he's done.
- 9:53Speaker 2: But uh, anyway, uh so, yeah I did that. Now
- 9:56Speaker 2: the festivities getting ready to start. What are you looking
- 9:58Speaker 2: up already? Oh? It was just saying if Bourbon and
- 10:01Speaker 2: Sprite had an actual name. But it's called the Colonel,
- 10:04Speaker 2: it does. It's called the Colonel in your friend group. Yeah, no,
- 10:08Speaker 2: just go ahead and call it the Colonel. Yeah, I
- 10:10Speaker 2: think it's I think it's a Chris. I didn't. I
- 10:12Speaker 2: didn't want to disrespect a name that was already out.
- 10:15Speaker 2: That was the case. It doesn't matter if there's another
- 10:19Speaker 2: name for it. It is now called the Colonel, and
- 10:21Speaker 2: we're going to call it the Colonel. But because I
- 10:23Speaker 2: love that, I think it's a really cool I might
- 10:25Speaker 2: name a horse that one day, the Colonel. Michael.
- 10:27Speaker 3: By the way, a little on air producing. What the
- 10:29Speaker 3: hell am I supposed to do with this song today?
- 10:31Speaker 2: Nothing? I'm sorry. You just pick whatever song? Is horrible choice?
- 10:35Speaker 2: Is it really you'd like it? It's a horrible choice,
- 10:37Speaker 2: is it really? It's it's it's with a singer that
- 10:40Speaker 2: I'm not. I can't do anything with that today. Okay,
- 10:43Speaker 2: it's Friday, all right. I thought you'd like that one.
- 10:46Speaker 2: I love the song. I don't think I can make it.
- 10:49Speaker 2: I picked Kenny Chesney, You and Tequila I thought that
- 10:53Speaker 2: was a great song. Okay, I'll pick something else. You
- 10:55Speaker 2: can pick the one I picked yesterday, cheap trick. Okay,
- 10:58Speaker 2: all right, so I'll do that easy, A little switch there.
- 11:01Speaker 2: But our listeners glad they're hatting this conversation right now.
- 11:05Speaker 2: But are you excited about Kentucky Derby starting a festival
- 11:08Speaker 2: starting tomorrow? Yes?
- 11:11Speaker 3: And no, me and you and I have had conversations
- 11:14Speaker 3: off air. Derby's one of those things where it always
- 11:18Speaker 3: just feels like such a headache until Derby stuff starts
- 11:22Speaker 3: getting here, and then it gets fun and the weather
- 11:24Speaker 3: gets warm and you get all excited, and it's one
- 11:27Speaker 3: of those things that once you're actually in these couple
- 11:29Speaker 3: of weeks, I enjoy it, but man up until it starts,
- 11:33Speaker 3: I dread it. So I don't know. I kind of
- 11:36Speaker 3: go back and forth on that.
- 11:38Speaker 2: Is there one particular event that you enjoyed this outside
- 11:42Speaker 2: of the races? Thunder? It is really so you will
- 11:45Speaker 2: be attending tomorrow? Absolutely not. Have you seen the weather? Yes?
- 11:48Speaker 2: Absolutely not? Yeah, yeah, I know. And poor one of
- 11:54Speaker 2: the local banks, Republic Bank, they're attis of the show
- 11:58Speaker 2: that they've invited my wife in Attica come down and
- 12:01Speaker 2: join them for thunder So, Okay, I don't think I.
- 12:04Speaker 3: Want to, I said the last I was talking about
- 12:06Speaker 3: it on my show, But I think the last either
- 12:08Speaker 3: two of the last three years or three of the
- 12:10Speaker 3: last four years. I've actually been golfing on thunder Day,
- 12:14Speaker 3: which is really really cool because we'll go somewhere close
- 12:17Speaker 3: to the river and you just have all these planes
- 12:19Speaker 3: flying over all. I love that while you're golfing. It's
- 12:22Speaker 3: been really really cool. So I'm kind of sad that
- 12:24Speaker 3: I won't be able to do that tomorrow with the
- 12:26Speaker 3: with the weather forecast, but it's still gonna be fun.
- 12:29Speaker 3: I'll hear the booms from my house. Maybe I'll get
- 12:31Speaker 3: a couple planes fly over. It'll it'll be fine.
- 12:33Speaker 2: That's my favorite part is the air show, for sure.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I would have to say growing up, probably my favorite
- 12:39Speaker 2: was well clearly the parade and the boat race until
- 12:43Speaker 2: a good friend of mine in my adult age said, Michael,
- 12:46Speaker 2: watching the boat races like watching paint dry. Oh it's horrible. Oh,
- 12:51Speaker 2: oh my god. The only way that would be fun
- 12:54Speaker 2: is if you were actually on the boat. Yeah. I
- 12:56Speaker 2: think that's what I've always wanted to do. Yeah, my
- 12:58Speaker 2: buddy Steve Morgilan, who was a former trainer out at
- 13:01Speaker 2: Churchill Down's really successful trainer. He's the one that kind
- 13:05Speaker 2: of ruined it for me. It's like, come on, Steve,
- 13:07Speaker 2: don't say that. Now. All I can think of every
- 13:09Speaker 2: boat race I think is Steve Morgulan, who unfortunately passed
- 13:12Speaker 2: away about ten years ago. And then uh uh paint dry.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It's like I just killed it for me. But I
- 13:18Speaker 2: have always I don't know how the people do it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I think you can buy tickets, can't you to get
- 13:23Speaker 2: on the boat. I've never done it before, but I've
- 13:25Speaker 2: always wanted to get on there and just uh yeah,
- 13:27Speaker 2: and and route the boat to win. And so I
- 13:32Speaker 2: think I've alway wouldn't even pay attention. I probably wouldn't.
- 13:35Speaker 2: My my I me know, my ADHD would be out
- 13:38Speaker 2: there just like what do I do next? What do
- 13:40Speaker 2: I do next? But no, I I do enjoy. I've
- 13:44Speaker 2: never done the mini marathon? Have you ever considered it?
- 13:48Speaker 3: I got a cousin that's running the full really? Yeah,
- 13:53Speaker 3: she's a beast, is she really? And that's not the
- 13:55Speaker 3: assistant basketball coach, is it.
- 13:57Speaker 2: The athletic trainer? Yeah?
- 13:58Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I heard yeah. Cool, she's running
- 14:02Speaker 3: the full marathon.
- 14:02Speaker 2: He Casey. We're rooting Casey on then, and I hope
- 14:06Speaker 2: she wins because I did. I did a five k recently,
- 14:10Speaker 2: Did you really? I sure did down in Tampa. Did
- 14:12Speaker 2: you run? I I did the best I could. I
- 14:15Speaker 2: ran and walked and uh, but here's the cool part.
- 14:18Speaker 2: The venue. The venue that you ran the five k
- 14:23Speaker 2: was at the Tampa International Airport. You ran actually on
- 14:29Speaker 2: oh yeah, the runway. Yeah, that was the coolest thing ever.
- 14:34Speaker 2: I just here's my problem. I ended up taking a
- 14:37Speaker 2: lot more pictures and video of concentrating on doing the
- 14:40Speaker 2: five k. Yeah. In my age group though, I was
- 14:44Speaker 2: very proud of myself. I came in forty nine. Wow. Yeah,
- 14:47Speaker 2: I was actually pretty solid at a fifty three, so
- 14:52Speaker 2: not bad. You got four of them. Hey, I finished,
- 14:56Speaker 2: That's all that mattered. I know. There was this big
- 14:58Speaker 2: person coming up behind. I mean, I'm like, no, that's
- 15:01Speaker 2: not happened. I started running as fast as I could
- 15:03Speaker 2: to make sure the other person didn't.
- 15:05Speaker 3: When I lived in Jacksonville, we did this five k
- 15:08Speaker 3: one year. It was I don't remember the name of it,
- 15:11Speaker 3: but you had to eat six donuts throughout the race.
- 15:16Speaker 3: There was like checkpoints and it was a requirement that
- 15:19Speaker 3: you didn't get a medal unless you finished and you
- 15:22Speaker 3: had eaten six donuts.
- 15:24Speaker 2: That's disgusting. It was horrible. Yeah, I'm not eating six
- 15:28Speaker 2: donuts horrible. Yeah. Yeah, So, I mean they were little,
- 15:32Speaker 2: but I get it. Well, they had a Chick fil
- 15:35Speaker 2: A after the run. I got my medal and it's
- 15:40Speaker 2: a really cool medal because it's got an airplane on
- 15:42Speaker 2: it and I think it said TPA on it, which
- 15:45Speaker 2: is Tampa or TP Well TPA is Tampa? Nope, Nope,
- 15:51Speaker 2: just me and my oldest son Max.
- 15:53Speaker 3: She would have probably gotten top five for her age group, right, oh, Patricia,
- 15:57Speaker 3: h oh.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:58Speaker 3: I've never met her, but she just strikes me as
- 16:01Speaker 3: someone who's a badass.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Patricia.
- 16:03Speaker 3: If she like sets her mind to something, I feel
- 16:05Speaker 3: like she could be really good at her She.
- 16:07Speaker 2: She's a very strong spirited young lady. So yeah, I'll
- 16:13Speaker 2: say that right now. Yeah, I mean I wear the
- 16:16Speaker 2: dress in the family. Okay, let's just be honest. So
- 16:18Speaker 2: I mean, if we're talking about cut off sleeves and
- 16:22Speaker 2: shirts going out in the golf course, that would be
- 16:24Speaker 2: Michael Bennett and Patricia be in the collared shirt and
- 16:26Speaker 2: a nice pair of shorts. Okay, so there, that's how
- 16:29Speaker 2: we would dress on the golf course. Sorright. Big news
- 16:31Speaker 2: yesterday a lot of y'all know that Alex Wilkins and
- 16:36Speaker 2: Sebastian Ransick were on campus. Of course, Wilkins is the
- 16:42Speaker 2: guard that came that's out of Furman, who average eighteen
- 16:45Speaker 2: points a game and just under four assists per game.
- 16:49Speaker 2: And man, I'm gonna tell you, and then they're also
- 16:53Speaker 2: talking about another player, but we I'll get to them
- 16:54Speaker 2: and met here's what I feel like, if you can
- 16:57Speaker 2: get Zoom, which Zoom's already committed, if you can get Ransick,
- 17:02Speaker 2: if you can get Wilkins, and then if you can
- 17:06Speaker 2: get one more player. And there's been a lot of
- 17:09Speaker 2: talk about this player power forward out of Syracuse, Donnie Freeman.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I look at that justin and I'm like, that could
- 17:21Speaker 2: be the start of a solid team right there. I
- 17:24Speaker 2: you know, I had a good long conversation with most
- 17:27Speaker 2: optimistic fan out there, and I mean the most positive
- 17:31Speaker 2: fan out there. His name's j. D. Shelburn by the way,
- 17:34Speaker 2: congratulations them. He's playing in Las Vegas all again, which
- 17:37Speaker 2: is rang cool, but JD was like, Michael, what do
- 17:41Speaker 2: you think of this team? And I said, here, it
- 17:44Speaker 2: is if they can get those guys plus Freeman. So
- 17:48Speaker 2: I'm talking about Sebastian Ransick, Alex Wilkins, and then Donnie Freeman.
- 17:55Speaker 2: I feel really good about that. And then you got
- 17:58Speaker 2: Zoom Diallo and I think think that is the start
- 18:01Speaker 2: of something good, even if they do not get Tyrone Stokes.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I agree.
- 18:06Speaker 3: I mean, and for all the freak out that was
- 18:08Speaker 3: going down earlier this week, I think we've really lost
- 18:13Speaker 3: sight of what you're having coming back, right, Like you
- 18:18Speaker 3: just want all these pieces to come in out of
- 18:20Speaker 3: the portal, but you do have some good pieces that
- 18:22Speaker 3: are gonna be back next year, whether it be Malachi moreno,
- 18:25Speaker 3: whether it be Cam Williams, Trenton Noah. I don't know
- 18:31Speaker 3: what he's gonna end up doing, but you would like
- 18:33Speaker 3: to think that he's gonna take a step up as well.
- 18:36Speaker 3: So it's really it wasn't that diar of a situation
- 18:38Speaker 3: that we were making it out to be.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Earlier this week? Well, yes, and no, I think a
- 18:43Speaker 2: lot of it had to do with all the good
- 18:45Speaker 2: news that's happening over at U of L and that
- 18:48Speaker 2: freaked out a lot of fans. It's like, why haven't
- 18:50Speaker 2: we got anything? You know that. I think both sides
- 18:54Speaker 2: are warranted. One side's warranted and saying why haven't we
- 18:58Speaker 2: gotten anything yet? The others as well just wait and
- 19:01Speaker 2: be patient, and I think both sides you kind of
- 19:03Speaker 2: meet in the middle. That's where the fan base should
- 19:06Speaker 2: be a little concerned, but not overly concerned, but not
- 19:10Speaker 2: overly confident either. Let's just wait and see. But you know,
- 19:14Speaker 2: patience is not a virtue of the big Blue Nation.
- 19:17Speaker 2: They want results and majority of the time, and I'm
- 19:20Speaker 2: guilty of this, you know me, they want results right now,
- 19:25Speaker 2: and it's just gonna be interesting to see where it
- 19:28Speaker 2: all plays out. And that's why I say, just Michael, oh,
- 19:33Speaker 2: keep holding back because I don't want to get on
- 19:36Speaker 2: here and just rant rant. Nobody wants to listen to
- 19:39Speaker 2: a show where the guy just constantly complains. But I think,
- 19:43Speaker 2: on the other hand, as we learned last year, nobody
- 19:46Speaker 2: wants to listen to a show that's just constantly like
- 19:48Speaker 2: we're going to be great, We're not going to be
- 19:51Speaker 2: or we are going to be There's a happy medium there,
- 19:53Speaker 2: and that's where I kind of want Land and I'm
- 19:56Speaker 2: going to listen. I am gonna wait and see, I
- 19:58Speaker 2: am gonna be confident and at the same time, So
- 20:01Speaker 2: that's kind of where Michael Bennett's mindset is right now
- 20:04Speaker 2: in UK basketball.
- 20:05Speaker 3: That's the best way to be. I mean, there's no
- 20:08Speaker 3: need to freak out or get too high or too
- 20:10Speaker 3: low at this juncture. There's just there's not because at
- 20:14Speaker 3: the end of the day, no matter how many players
- 20:16Speaker 3: you get come in, no matter who comes in, no
- 20:18Speaker 3: matter what you think of them, we just don't know
- 20:21Speaker 3: how it's going to shake out until you see them
- 20:23Speaker 3: in action together on the floor well exactly.
- 20:25Speaker 2: And we don't want to hear the mix about this
- 20:27Speaker 2: team's not getting along. There's things happening in the locker room.
- 20:30Speaker 2: That's what I think Mark Pope's number one goal is,
- 20:33Speaker 2: all right, let's look at their Let's look at how
- 20:36Speaker 2: these people are. These players are going to react with
- 20:39Speaker 2: each other. Are they going to get along with each other?
- 20:41Speaker 2: Because clearly last year's team did not get along at all,
- 20:46Speaker 2: And you can't necessarily blame all of that on Mark Pope.
- 20:50Speaker 2: I think Mark Pope should take a lot of blame,
- 20:52Speaker 2: but not completely all of it. You got to have
- 20:55Speaker 2: some players that have responsibility too, and you got to
- 20:58Speaker 2: have some leaders on this team that step up, say dudes,
- 21:01Speaker 2: we got to get together otherwise this is not going
- 21:03Speaker 2: to be successful. Yep, I couldn't agree more. Okay, good well,
- 21:07Speaker 2: I'm glad you're that way. So oh we gotta take
- 21:09Speaker 2: a break. Follow two three eight four fourteen fifty. If
- 21:12Speaker 2: you want to call in fablo two four one four
- 21:14Speaker 2: fourteen fifty, you want to text me on the whisky
- 21:17Speaker 2: le whiskey Leaf, how do you like that whiskey thief
- 21:20Speaker 2: text line? We're almost selling tea. I mean that would
- 21:23Speaker 2: be a great great tea name. By the way, Risky Leaf.
- 21:27Speaker 2: So whiskey thief text line? Or you can tweek me
- 21:30Speaker 2: at just the Cat Radio, so stay right there more
- 21:32Speaker 2: just the Cats coming out on night. Shall be closing
- 22:12Speaker 2: in a deal song.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Judge reason, I'm basket, I'm.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Pertain still, I'm gonna crazy, Lucy, I'm gonna fiving way
- 22:35Speaker 4: to Teabo.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Two three eight four fourteen to fifty. Yeah, this is
- 22:49Speaker 2: if anything happens to me and my wife, this is
- 22:51Speaker 2: the song I'm playing right here. It's gonna be the
- 22:54Speaker 2: flame I mean, not my flame will be flickering out.
- 22:57Speaker 2: So uh, anyway, if you want to text me on
- 22:59Speaker 2: the whiskey, you take a line. You can do that
- 23:01Speaker 2: at five oho two four one four fourteen fifteen, tweet
- 23:03Speaker 2: me at just the Cat Radio. And I was told
- 23:05Speaker 2: by my producer that I'm supposed to promote it. Michael,
- 23:08Speaker 2: when you go on YouTube, you've got to promote YouTube. Oytherwise,
- 23:11Speaker 2: nobody's going to watch it. So I'm not gonna sit
- 23:13Speaker 2: here and do it. Well, but you can tell me
- 23:16Speaker 2: to say it. I just didn't know we were supposed
- 23:18Speaker 2: to say, Hey, Michael, say that you're on YouTube. Just
- 23:21Speaker 2: just tell me. I don't you know this show is
- 23:24Speaker 2: so ridiculous. I do not care if you interrupt me. Michael,
- 23:27Speaker 2: you've got to do something.
- 23:28Speaker 3: But we're rarely on YouTube, so don't you true. That
- 23:30Speaker 3: means you come in and say, hey, see, by the way,
- 23:33Speaker 3: something special for you all on this from Okay.
- 23:36Speaker 2: I like that. See you should take over when it
- 23:38Speaker 2: comes to these special announcement and you spread your arms
- 23:42Speaker 2: out like this and you say, hey, we got special news.
- 23:45Speaker 2: We are on YouTube this morning. I think you should
- 23:49Speaker 2: be in charge of that. Okay, you're in charge of
- 23:52Speaker 2: spreading your arms and saying special news. I've got enough
- 23:55Speaker 2: enough response. All right. Well, see, I've got three cameras
- 23:58Speaker 2: in front of me, and I have no idea which
- 24:00Speaker 2: one I'm supposed to look at all of them? Really,
- 24:03Speaker 2: aren't they all right there in a cluster together? They
- 24:05Speaker 2: are all three staring at me. One looks like he's
- 24:08Speaker 2: trying to look away from me. You ever have those
- 24:09Speaker 2: people that you know you're having a conversation with it
- 24:12Speaker 2: it's only the two of you, and the other one
- 24:14Speaker 2: continues to look away. It's like, okay, are you interested
- 24:17Speaker 2: in talking to me? Or are you really no? I
- 24:20Speaker 2: look at people like yesterday I met a man that's
- 24:23Speaker 2: being recruited by one of the local schools for football,
- 24:28Speaker 2: and he the one thing I liked about eighteen year
- 24:31Speaker 2: old young man, huge guy, and he puts his hand
- 24:35Speaker 2: down and says, mister Bennett, very nice to meet you.
- 24:37Speaker 2: First of all, he said, mister Bennett. He had a
- 24:39Speaker 2: firm handshake, and he looked at me right in the eye.
- 24:42Speaker 2: That's the one thing I've always taught young people to
- 24:45Speaker 2: do that they don't do anymore. You shake a hand firm,
- 24:49Speaker 2: and you say nice to meet you, and you look
- 24:51Speaker 2: at them out of eye because the one minute that
- 24:53Speaker 2: you start drifting off, you know, you're not listening. They're
- 24:56Speaker 2: not listening to you. Sure, And that's that. That That
- 25:00Speaker 2: is one thing I've always taught because my dad taught
- 25:03Speaker 2: me that. But I don't know which camera to look at.
- 25:05Speaker 2: So look at it, Okay, I'll be like this the
- 25:09Speaker 2: entire my head will be shaking like I've got Parkinson's.
- 25:12Speaker 2: I mean it's I mean, come on, man, it's call
- 25:16Speaker 2: me Michael J. Fox.
- 25:17Speaker 3: That's a bad joke, all right, one person text You
- 25:20Speaker 3: wouldn't let me talk about the reporter a joke like that.
- 25:24Speaker 2: That's I think Michael J. Fox would think it was funny.
- 25:28Speaker 2: But I yeah, there is a lot of drama going
- 25:31Speaker 2: right now in the NFL media or or professional sports media.
- 25:36Speaker 2: I mean that that you know, you got that whole
- 25:38Speaker 2: thing with that young lady that was having the affair
- 25:41Speaker 2: with Mike Rabel. Of course she's lost her job now
- 25:43Speaker 2: at the Athletic. Do you think she deserved to lose
- 25:46Speaker 2: her job? Well, she didn't.
- 25:48Speaker 3: She just stepped down right, Yes, she just lost her job.
- 25:52Speaker 3: I'm gonna step away. And then yesterday I saw the
- 25:54Speaker 3: quote of her crying about or now I'm gonna have
- 25:56Speaker 3: to go work as a bartender, like so, oh my god.
- 26:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 26:01Speaker 3: So we we all have to transition at certain stages
- 26:04Speaker 3: of life. So I correct, get ready, we all have
- 26:08Speaker 3: to transition. I transit transitioned.
- 26:11Speaker 2: To a radio host. That's the weirdest move in the world.
- 26:15Speaker 2: A guy that's never been on radio, never even considered
- 26:19Speaker 2: doing radio, is on the radio. That's what John's gonna do.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Our Texter.
- 26:24Speaker 3: I was talking to him a little bit about that
- 26:25Speaker 3: last night. He said, really, he said, one day, when
- 26:28Speaker 3: he's done with everything he's trying to do now, he's
- 26:30Speaker 3: just gonna transition into radio.
- 26:32Speaker 2: And I said, you should, Well, I mean make it.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Maybe he can take over from him.
- 26:36Speaker 3: I told him to save up money because he's not
- 26:37Speaker 3: gonna make anyone he gets to. No, yeah, that's the
- 26:40Speaker 3: one thing. I lose money. So but uh, you know,
- 26:43Speaker 3: and I don't go out there and sell it enough.
- 26:45Speaker 3: And if I did, I would, but uh anyway, one.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Person said, some of my favorite memories are waking up
- 26:53Speaker 2: early as a kid and going out to the balloon
- 26:56Speaker 2: race at the Fairgrounds. I remember setting up the X
- 26:59Speaker 2: target the pilots to throw their bags of grass seed
- 27:03Speaker 2: at over at Auburndale one year. That's pretty cool. What
- 27:09Speaker 2: about grass grass? That's what they throw a bag of
- 27:13Speaker 2: grass seeds, not pot. They're not throwing pot out the bottle.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I got what you're saying. Yeah, why, that's what it's
- 27:20Speaker 2: always been. It's just been a big bag. Well, I
- 27:22Speaker 2: guess because this is a bluegrass state. Even though you
- 27:25Speaker 2: did nots it's a bluegrass state. They take bags of
- 27:30Speaker 2: blue grass seeds and throw it over and that's how
- 27:32Speaker 2: you win. Whoever's closest to the x mark wins the race.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Didn't know that. You did not know that? Really, how
- 27:40Speaker 2: did you think there's a gigantic finish line? No, No,
- 27:46Speaker 2: that's not what they do. One person, Michael, sounds like
- 27:49Speaker 2: he's five years old at Olin Mills being yelled at
- 27:52Speaker 2: by his mother not to dare ruin the photos. Yeah.
- 27:56Speaker 2: I ruined so many photos for my mom, And you know,
- 27:58Speaker 2: I look at some of the photos. I'm like, I
- 28:00Speaker 2: remember that day and I was so I was so
- 28:02Speaker 2: rude to my mom. I was all right, easy to
- 28:06Speaker 2: do when you're a kid. Well yeah, but I was
- 28:08Speaker 2: a little difficult. Okay, So I was one year I
- 28:12Speaker 2: painted my fingernails, like when I was in nine or
- 28:17Speaker 2: ten years old. I never wore high heels, I never
- 28:19Speaker 2: painted my nails. Well, it was ink. I took my
- 28:22Speaker 2: ink pen and painted my fingernails, and I didn't realize
- 28:25Speaker 2: I was getting my picture that day. So you see
- 28:27Speaker 2: a picture of me covering my fingernails, and that's all
- 28:31Speaker 2: you can focus on. One year in college, my mom
- 28:34Speaker 2: wanted a picture of me, mom and dad, even though
- 28:37Speaker 2: my brother and sister were already gone and married. You
- 28:39Speaker 2: want a picture of all three of us, And I
- 28:41Speaker 2: was just being a jerk. I don't know why I
- 28:43Speaker 2: was like that. Scoots, I'll let you take my spot
- 28:47Speaker 2: for thunder. I'm sure you'll see lots of fireworks. Just
- 28:50Speaker 2: remember to tell people to turn left at the next
- 28:53Speaker 2: single and they'll do just fine. That's from policeman Jamie.
- 28:59Speaker 2: I like that. I'm good, Jamie. That is perfect right there. No,
- 29:03Speaker 2: I can tell you that is the one thing. That's
- 29:05Speaker 2: the one night well, and probably a thunder over Louisville
- 29:10Speaker 2: and Kentucky Oaks and Derby night. I would not want
- 29:13Speaker 2: to be out there directing traffic. No, because people, you
- 29:17Speaker 2: know they're going to get so mad and frustrated and
- 29:20Speaker 2: it's a nightmare. Yeah, when that's all over and people
- 29:23Speaker 2: are going, golly, it sucks. I think Thunder as far
- 29:27Speaker 2: as traffic, is ten times worse than Kentucky Derby. I'm
- 29:32Speaker 2: home from Churchill Downs within twenty five minutes. I think
- 29:37Speaker 2: they do a phenomenal job of getting traffic out of there. Now.
- 29:40Speaker 3: I mean with Derby, I feel like you have a
- 29:42Speaker 3: lot of people leaving it different times throughout the night.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Where well, I mean with the race changes. We'll see
- 29:49Speaker 3: how that ends up working out. But with Thunder, it's
- 29:52Speaker 3: literally just everybody leaving it once as soon as that
- 29:54Speaker 3: last firework goes off.
- 29:56Speaker 2: All right, let's go in the car. That sucks, But
- 29:59Speaker 2: you're right, it is worse. Wow, Josh text it out.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I like Vince a little more now. Cranberry and vodka
- 30:05Speaker 2: is a great drink. I'm glad you do, Josh. I
- 30:09Speaker 2: can do with al vodka. Really, yeah, I'm not a
- 30:12Speaker 2: My dad drank it straight. All he would put in
- 30:15Speaker 2: is three olives and drink it straight. He goes, you
- 30:20Speaker 2: want to taste it, and I'm like, yeah, sure, I'll
- 30:21Speaker 2: take it, and it just it tasted like perfume.
- 30:24Speaker 3: It's disgusting. I don't know how people. I just I
- 30:26Speaker 3: drank so much of it in college. I don't think
- 30:27Speaker 3: I can ever drink it again.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Uh, my daughter's fourth birthday is Sunday. I always said
- 30:33Speaker 2: that thunder is just a start to her celebration. Laugh
- 30:36Speaker 2: out loud, Josh, it is. What's your daughter's name? By
- 30:40Speaker 2: the way, So tell me your daughter's name and we'll
- 30:42Speaker 2: I'll have Justin singer happy. But by the way, I
- 30:45Speaker 2: got the pleasure to meet her. What really two three
- 30:47Speaker 2: weeks ago, Josh, stop by the remote broadcast I was
- 30:50Speaker 2: doing in Cordon and they came up to say bye,
- 30:53Speaker 2: and she was like bye, and I was like see
- 30:55Speaker 2: you later, and I was like, you're offully cute and
- 30:58Speaker 2: she just looks at me and starts shaking her like yeah,
- 31:00Speaker 2: I know. Really I thought she was shaking your head.
- 31:06Speaker 2: No that you know, She's like, yeah, you're She was
- 31:08Speaker 2: basically like, yeah, you're right. Have you ever seen that
- 31:10Speaker 2: Saturay Night Live bit where uh, it's the contestants are
- 31:14Speaker 2: meet your second wife and it's like a twenty four
- 31:17Speaker 2: year old girl, or it's a a fifteen year old girl,
- 31:21Speaker 2: or at a six year old girl. Oh it was hilarious. Yeah, no,
- 31:27Speaker 2: never seen. It was pretty funny, but concept sounds weird
- 31:31Speaker 2: as that. Yeah, forty it was weird, but it was
- 31:33Speaker 2: weird funny. I like weird funny. Forty eight any said,
- 31:36Speaker 2: I remember when the pegasts parayed was the only pre
- 31:39Speaker 2: Derby event. A lot of famous people were Grand Marshall
- 31:43Speaker 2: believe John Wayne Wayne was once. That's pretty cool. I
- 31:47Speaker 2: didn't know that. Who's the most famous person that's been
- 31:50Speaker 2: to the Kentucky Derby that you can remember? Tom Brady really?
- 31:54Speaker 2: And he comes pretty much on a regular basis every year,
- 31:57Speaker 2: doesn't he. I think so, Tom Brady. I always thought
- 32:00Speaker 2: it was cool. Let's see, Um, I'm sure Michael Jordan's
- 32:03Speaker 2: been before. Oh, he used to play out at Harmony
- 32:06Speaker 2: Landing Country Club which is now Big Springs exactly. And
- 32:12Speaker 2: don't you know that Justin Thomas used to caddy for them? Really?
- 32:16Speaker 2: Do you not know this story? Oh, this is a
- 32:18Speaker 2: cool story. I'll tell you what so well, Mike Thomas
- 32:22Speaker 2: told me the story. He said that Justin was caddying
- 32:25Speaker 2: for him, not knowing just They only knew Justin from
- 32:29Speaker 2: his dad. You know, Justin was probably twelve thirteen years old.
- 32:33Speaker 2: So Justin's out there Caddy and all of a sudden,
- 32:36Speaker 2: because they're gambling, it's it's Barkley, Michael Jordan, I don't
- 32:40Speaker 2: remember who else was out there, probably other basketball players,
- 32:43Speaker 2: and Michael Jordan says, I'll bet you Mike Caddy can
- 32:47Speaker 2: make this shot, and all of a sudden they say, ooh,
- 32:53Speaker 2: Justin's got a nice swing, and they won the whole
- 32:57Speaker 2: So from then on out, they let Justin play out
- 33:01Speaker 2: the eighteen with Michael Jordan to play against Charles Barklay
- 33:05Speaker 2: and another person. They won the match, and I think,
- 33:09Speaker 2: if I remember correctly, Justin won on his portion was
- 33:15Speaker 2: like five thousand dollars to a twelve year old kid.
- 33:20Speaker 2: And then from then on out, Michael Jordan always wanted
- 33:23Speaker 2: Justin to play with them. So what if JT lost?
- 33:25Speaker 2: Was Mike gonna cover that? I don't know. I don't know,
- 33:28Speaker 2: but it was funny because Mike Thomas says, yeah, I
- 33:30Speaker 2: took one hundred that dollars, let Justin have it. The
- 33:33Speaker 2: rest of it went immediately in the bank. He goes,
- 33:35Speaker 2: I'm not letting that kid spend any money. It was awesome.
- 33:38Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, they they became friends after that. I
- 33:40Speaker 3: always loved that song. No wonder he's such a big
- 33:42Speaker 3: gambler now then Justin is Oh god, yeah, I didn't
- 33:47Speaker 3: know that, oh him? And when they what's that Full Swing?
- 33:50Speaker 3: You ever watched The Full Swing on Netflix, the show
- 33:52Speaker 3: about the golfers? I did, Yeah, I mean there was
- 33:55Speaker 3: one of the episodes him and jordan' speith were on
- 33:58Speaker 3: the plane betting like one thousand dollars a hand and
- 34:00Speaker 3: playing cards.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Are you serious? Oh my gosh, yeah, I can't do
- 34:05Speaker 2: that kind of stuff. I just I can't gamble like that.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Oh if I was stupid rich I could. John here, Hey, Michael,
- 34:14Speaker 2: at least you are not last on that run. Here
- 34:17Speaker 2: is our next And I wasn't. I wasn't last on
- 34:20Speaker 2: that run. I bet you I beat out of a
- 34:24Speaker 2: couple thousand people. I beat probably a couple hundred people. Hey, yeah, listen,
- 34:29Speaker 2: and the rest were eighty four. Just no, they weren't.
- 34:33Speaker 2: But I listen. It had been a while since I'd
- 34:36Speaker 2: done something like that. I was proud of myself. I
- 34:38Speaker 2: completed it. That's all I do. Here is our next
- 34:43Speaker 2: four players. Coach Pope will get Donnie Freeman, Alex Wilkins,
- 34:48Speaker 2: Sebastian Ransick. Nice start right there, and he's declaring John
- 34:54Speaker 2: that we will get Tyrone Stokes plus zoom and of
- 34:58Speaker 2: course others coming back. I I still do have a
- 35:02Speaker 2: question mark for Braiden Hawthorne. No, I think Braiden Hawthorne's
- 35:05Speaker 2: coming back and how good he will be. I get that.
- 35:08Speaker 2: I think he has a lot of upside. I feel
- 35:12Speaker 2: like we got to mention him. You're right, we do
- 35:14Speaker 2: have to mention it. We definitely forget to mention him. Yeah,
- 35:17Speaker 2: you're right, but it's because we haven't seen him play
- 35:21Speaker 2: since he didn't play any last year, and I'm glad
- 35:24Speaker 2: they continue to red shirt him. I just wish basketball,
- 35:28Speaker 2: and we'll talk about a new rule change in just
- 35:29Speaker 2: a little bit, but I just wish basketball would implement
- 35:33Speaker 2: the same rule that football has. You're allowed to play
- 35:36Speaker 2: so much until you have to declare red shirt, and
- 35:40Speaker 2: they should do that in basketball. Why they don't do
- 35:41Speaker 2: it in basketball makes no sense to me. They should
- 35:44Speaker 2: be allowed to play so many games and then you
- 35:47Speaker 2: got to sit out the rest of season. So if
- 35:49Speaker 2: it's getting towards the end of the season, man, that
- 35:51Speaker 2: would have freed up Hawthorne last year. For Kentucky I
- 35:54Speaker 2: think would have helped.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Well, there's a lot of people saying that you didn't
- 35:58Speaker 3: put him out there for a reason because you didn't
- 36:00Speaker 3: want teams to have any tape on him coming into
- 36:02Speaker 3: this year.
- 36:03Speaker 2: That's fair as well. So and that goes back to
- 36:07Speaker 2: the we got to figure something out. You commit, just
- 36:10Speaker 2: like in baseball when you come to Kentucky, you commit
- 36:13Speaker 2: for three years or you got to play three years.
- 36:15Speaker 2: I mean, you got to do something to where these
- 36:18Speaker 2: players at least stay two years at one school. If
- 36:23Speaker 2: you transfer, you got to sit out a year. It
- 36:25Speaker 2: happens at some places. I mean if I was looking
- 36:27Speaker 2: at the transfers in and out for all the Big
- 36:30Speaker 2: ten schools yesterday, Yeah, Purdue in Michigan State don't have
- 36:35Speaker 2: They didn't haven't brought in a single player yet, and
- 36:37Speaker 2: they haven't had a single player leave yet. No, they
- 36:39Speaker 2: don't need Yeah that is crazy, So they don't need anybody.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I wasn't it Duke. That was a part of that
- 36:44Speaker 2: as well.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Oh No, Duke got a bunch of guys transfer out
- 36:48Speaker 3: because Indiana got one. Oh they okay, never mind, Then Florida,
- 36:53Speaker 3: did Florida lose anybody Florida's a good call. I haven't
- 36:57Speaker 3: heard anything about Boogie. I know Alex Condon's coming back.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Yeah, they just but he wasn't going to see the
- 37:03Speaker 2: floor anyway. Yeah. One person texted, shooter, shooter, shooters, we
- 37:09Speaker 2: need shooters, man, you're right, And of course I talked
- 37:13Speaker 2: about that yesterday. That's a little bit of the concern
- 37:15Speaker 2: on zoom and maybe a knock on zoom diallo. Uh,
- 37:18Speaker 2: he's not a great shooter from beyond the arc, but
- 37:22Speaker 2: I'm hoping that. I'm still telling you Cam Williams, he's
- 37:27Speaker 2: our shooter. He's going to be Colin Chandler on steroids.
- 37:32Speaker 2: That's what I'm going to predict. I thought that would
- 37:34Speaker 2: have happened last year, and then the injury happened. Steroids
- 37:36Speaker 2: are illegal. Oh, come on, we gotta take another break.
- 37:40Speaker 2: I can't end on that. Right there, we're on YouTube.
- 37:46Speaker 2: You can see my frustration in my face. Okay, this
- 37:49Speaker 2: idiot over here, they're illegal. We'll be right back. This
- 37:53Speaker 2: is just a Catz downer. I love the beginning of
- 38:38Speaker 2: that song. Right there's sappy. Toto makes me happy. So
- 38:41Speaker 2: uh fable two three eight four fourteen fifty You want
- 38:43Speaker 2: to call in fable two four one four fourteen fifty.
- 38:45Speaker 2: I'll get back to your whiskey deep texts in just
- 38:48Speaker 2: a little bit, but if you want to join us,
- 38:49Speaker 2: we're on YouTube. I don't know if anybody's watching it.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Can you tell if anybody's actually watching on YouTube?
- 38:55Speaker 3: We got one currently, but we've had eight, yes, eight
- 38:57Speaker 3: this morning. Yeah, one person is watching it.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Okay, I don't know. Maybe we'll Why would you say,
- 39:06Speaker 2: must be a woman. Why would you ever say something
- 39:08Speaker 2: because we're so good looking? Oh my gosh, man, no
- 39:12Speaker 2: I am. I am not a good looking guy. So
- 39:16Speaker 2: how with that attitude? No? Exactly a negative Nancy over here.
- 39:20Speaker 2: But no, maybe we'll do this more consistently since I'm
- 39:23Speaker 2: gonna be here for a while and so yeah, maybe
- 39:26Speaker 2: the summertime we'll do the YouTube stuff. So anyway, UK
- 39:30Speaker 2: and will Stein are on a real recruiting heater right now.
- 39:34Speaker 2: I mean they're they're on a roll. Yesterday they flipped
- 39:38Speaker 2: to commit that was actually already committed to Auburn. He's
- 39:43Speaker 2: out of South Florida. Tight end Trey Proctor six foot
- 39:46Speaker 2: four and a half. I love how they put the
- 39:48Speaker 2: half in there. Two hundred and thirteen pounds three star
- 39:51Speaker 2: richly committed to Auburn back in January. Where I mean,
- 39:57Speaker 2: UK has made an been very committed to make a
- 40:01Speaker 2: strong effort in recruiting down in Florida, and that's one
- 40:05Speaker 2: of the things that will Stein has said. Listen, we
- 40:08Speaker 2: are going to Florida to bring players to Kentucky and
- 40:11Speaker 2: have them come up here. Now, I don't know if
- 40:14Speaker 2: you've if you know this or not, but Trey Proctor
- 40:19Speaker 2: actually has I think a phenomenal nickname and I love it.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Have you heard what his nickname is? You have not?
- 40:27Speaker 2: Have not Tank? He goes by Tank Proctor. I love it.
- 40:32Speaker 2: I mean, if that's not a football name, I don't
- 40:35Speaker 2: know what a football name is. I love it Tank Proctor.
- 40:39Speaker 2: I can see the T shirts. I mean, that guy
- 40:42Speaker 2: should easily if he has any success at UK, which
- 40:44Speaker 2: I predict he will, because they say one of the
- 40:46Speaker 2: greatest aspects of him, even though he's a really big dude,
- 40:50Speaker 2: he has soft hands. And I'm not talking about moisturizer.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I'm talking about catching the ball. And you know that's
- 40:58Speaker 2: a real compliment in football when you have soft hands.
- 41:00Speaker 2: And that's one of his biggest attributes right there is
- 41:04Speaker 2: that he has soft hands as big as the guys
- 41:06Speaker 2: he is, because you know, normally in big players, they
- 41:09Speaker 2: don't have that kind of hands. So if he can
- 41:10Speaker 2: follow the career path to Tank Bigsby, he'll be all right.
- 41:13Speaker 2: That's right, Tank.
- 41:14Speaker 3: I'm trying to think what are other great nicknames? And
- 41:18Speaker 3: you just picked one right out of the hat. You
- 41:20Speaker 3: also got Tank Davis bok Yah, yeah, Tank Davis, any
- 41:24Speaker 3: other famous Tanks?
- 41:26Speaker 2: It's the only Tank I can think of. Yeah, what
- 41:29Speaker 2: are other famous athletes with great nicknames? Zoom? Yeah? Okay,
- 41:35Speaker 2: fair enough. We talked about Zoom yesterday. Zoom's a great
- 41:38Speaker 2: basketball name. Tank is a great football name. I'm trying too,
- 41:42Speaker 2: is a great basketball name. There was a kid that
- 41:45Speaker 2: I called games for this season here in Louisville. What
- 41:49Speaker 2: was his Gunner? His name was Gunner. If that's not
- 41:53Speaker 2: the best name for a basketball player, I don't know
- 41:55Speaker 2: what is. Well, didn't UK have a quarterback named Gunner? No?
- 42:01Speaker 2: Georgia did, though, Gunner Stockton. Maybe that's who I'm thinking
- 42:04Speaker 2: of as Gunner Stockton. Yeah? So, uh? Tank? Now is
- 42:08Speaker 2: the ninth player in the class of twenty seven to
- 42:10Speaker 2: commit to UK, And are you ready for this UK
- 42:14Speaker 2: is now ranked seventeenth in the country with their twenty
- 42:18Speaker 2: seven recruiting weren't they thirteenth, Yes, eleventh, eleventh, But say
- 42:22Speaker 2: they went down Yeah, no, kid, I know they did
- 42:25Speaker 2: eleventh in the eleventh in the country. But here's the problem.
- 42:29Speaker 2: There's seventh in the SEC. It's brutal. It is brutal,
- 42:34Speaker 2: But I mean eleventh in the country when it comes
- 42:36Speaker 2: to football. I mean I I was hopeful that will
- 42:40Speaker 2: Stein was going to do it for a really good job.
- 42:44Speaker 2: I think he's just knocking it out of the park
- 42:46Speaker 2: right now. Yeah. I like to use a baseball term
- 42:48Speaker 2: when I'm talking about football, but I just that's a
- 42:51Speaker 2: pro move, is it, really? Yeah, use another sports analogy
- 42:55Speaker 2: when you're talking about certain sports. Oh good, I did
- 42:57Speaker 2: something right.
- 42:58Speaker 3: That's like when you're watching like a basketball game and
- 43:01Speaker 3: it's seven to nothing. Oh they laid by touchdown. Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 3: that's just a good thing to do.
- 43:05Speaker 2: Yeah. Uh. Now, let's talk about this whole thing that's
- 43:09Speaker 2: going on with uh the young lady what's what's what's
- 43:13Speaker 2: the lady's name that was doing this whole thing with
- 43:15Speaker 2: Mike rabel h Diana Diana Rossini. Yes, uh, in course,
- 43:20Speaker 2: she resigned. Now, granted, I know she you said she resigned,
- 43:25Speaker 2: but she was asked to resign. I happen to believe
- 43:29Speaker 2: she was asked. Now. I don't know this for certain,
- 43:31Speaker 2: but I have to believe she was asked to resign.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I don't know if you've seen this or not, but
- 43:36Speaker 2: now there is a reporter out there, another one named
- 43:40Speaker 2: Chrissy Freud. Have you seen this. Yeah, Chrissy Freud is
- 43:48Speaker 2: literally going after Russini and it's it's really crazy how
- 43:55Speaker 2: this lady's going out all. Here's what she said. Now
- 43:59Speaker 2: she is forced to lose her job, all of us do.
- 44:05Speaker 2: Let me get to it. But she has gone, I'm
- 44:08Speaker 2: sure you were told to submit this or that you'd
- 44:11Speaker 2: get fired and said don't let the door hit you
- 44:14Speaker 2: on the way out. This is what Freud tweeted about
- 44:17Speaker 2: Russini's resignation letter. H we know who you really are
- 44:23Speaker 2: and what you've been up to for years. It does
- 44:26Speaker 2: so much detribute to women in sports who have done
- 44:29Speaker 2: things the right way. Wow, seems like they've maybe cross
- 44:34Speaker 2: paths in the past. Well, and she mentions that she goes,
- 44:38Speaker 2: we know you've had fights at Chili's in the parking lot. Hey,
- 44:42Speaker 2: I'm thinking he hasn't. Well, Will Ferrell's dad did in
- 44:48Speaker 2: Talladega Knights. So but they got kicked out of Chili's too.
- 44:52Speaker 2: But it made me think that Christy Freud has been
- 44:56Speaker 2: in a parking lot fight at Chili's with Diana rus
- 45:00Speaker 2: So proceed Russini, whatever her name is. So I'm thinking
- 45:04Speaker 2: there's a lot. I'm now really enjoying this story, cause
- 45:09Speaker 2: when you get drama in the media, nothing makes me
- 45:14Speaker 2: smile bigger. I agree, and to see this Chrissy Freud. Now,
- 45:19Speaker 2: do you think Chrissy Freud should have lost her job
- 45:22Speaker 2: with the comments that she put up on Twitter? I
- 45:27Speaker 2: mean probably so, especially if that goes against the company's
- 45:31Speaker 2: Polly this policy that she was working for. But isn't
- 45:35Speaker 2: this America right? Can't Don't we all have the freedom
- 45:38Speaker 2: of speech and should be able to say whatever we want. Yeah,
- 45:42Speaker 2: that's that's what I thought. I mean, she's claiming that
- 45:45Speaker 2: she's hooking up with married NFL coaches, I mean, she's
- 45:48Speaker 2: hooking up with players. I mean she had all kinds
- 45:52Speaker 2: of I mean, she just vented and I thought, wow.
- 45:57Speaker 2: But to me, I don't think that's a fireable offense.
- 46:00Speaker 2: She clearly she's up with what Racini's done, which I
- 46:03Speaker 2: can understand that for and what she's saying for other women.
- 46:07Speaker 2: I mean, it does put a damper, a bad look
- 46:09Speaker 2: on that. Yeah, But I mean, do you think the
- 46:13Speaker 2: Patriots are going to go after Mike Rabel? They're not, no,
- 46:17Speaker 2: because I mean, it doesn't affect anything on the field,
- 46:20Speaker 2: but it ruins Russini's integrity. I mean, nobody's really gonna
- 46:24Speaker 2: listen to her after they know she's been sleeping with
- 46:26Speaker 2: the head.
- 46:27Speaker 3: It's not a bad or it's not a good look
- 46:29Speaker 3: for either of them with them being married. But at
- 46:31Speaker 3: the end of the day, we're all human and we
- 46:34Speaker 3: all have our flaws, no matter what they are, and
- 46:36Speaker 3: apparently that's their flaws.
- 46:38Speaker 2: Yeah, that was a bad flaw. But I do think
- 46:42Speaker 2: that Russini should have lost her job. Rabel should be
- 46:44Speaker 2: reprimanded somehow, some way, because there's got to be an
- 46:47Speaker 2: integrity integrity claw clause within his contract with you, if
- 46:52Speaker 2: not with the Patriots, but at least within the NFL.
- 46:55Speaker 2: I think there are integrity clauses. I mean, you know,
- 46:58Speaker 2: you and I talked about it earlier. There was some
- 47:00Speaker 2: for NBA coaches, but I think something has to happen.
- 47:04Speaker 2: So anyway, we'll take a break. Hour two coming up.
- 47:08Speaker 2: We got a lot to talk about there, so don't
- 47:10Speaker 2: go anywhere more. Just the Cats on YouTube, stay right.
- 47:13Speaker 1: There, Welcome to Just the Cats with Michael Bennett.
- 47:45Speaker 2: All right, our number two on this Friday, which I'm
- 47:49Speaker 2: I'm looking forward to because it's a it's a big weekend.
- 47:51Speaker 2: The closer that we get to uh you know Derby time.
- 47:55Speaker 2: I mean, it all starts tomorrow, which is amazing to me.
- 47:58Speaker 2: I just can't believe here we are, uh Kentucky Derby one.
- 48:02Speaker 2: It's one fifty two this year. Yeah, one fifty So
- 48:05Speaker 2: I haven't seen the logo yet. I haven't seen the
- 48:07Speaker 2: logo either. And you know, a week from Monday, we're
- 48:10Speaker 2: gonna be out of Churchill Down's backside. So uh, for
- 48:13Speaker 2: all those people watching on YouTube, thank you very much.
- 48:15Speaker 2: Come join us on YouTube right now because we're gonna
- 48:17Speaker 2: be live. We'll do this next week. Now. We can't
- 48:20Speaker 2: do it at Churchill Downs, can we. Well that's ridiculous.
- 48:23Speaker 3: No, we certainly can't. Well why can't we do it
- 48:26Speaker 3: because the cameras are here? Yeah, but let's take the
- 48:29Speaker 3: cameras with us.
- 48:30Speaker 2: I mean, we could just do audio from that's no fun.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I think that we need to figure a way to
- 48:37Speaker 2: take the cameras. Whichever one of these three that are
- 48:40Speaker 2: in front of me should go out to Churchill Downs
- 48:42Speaker 2: and they can see who we're talking too.
- 48:45Speaker 3: With all due respect, I have enough things that I
- 48:47Speaker 3: have to worry about on Derby Week. I'm not bringing
- 48:49Speaker 3: these cads.
- 48:49Speaker 2: Not what we're doing. We're taking the cameras. We're going
- 48:52Speaker 2: to do it out there so people can see the
- 48:53Speaker 2: people we're talking. If you want the people to see
- 48:55Speaker 2: what you see, then take a phone set up and
- 48:59Speaker 2: just record on your phone. Oh is that what I
- 49:00Speaker 2: should do? Yeah, I don't want to record, I want
- 49:03Speaker 2: it live. Well, do a Facebook live there. Oh that's
- 49:06Speaker 2: a great idea. I do a Facebook live, but it's
- 49:08Speaker 2: not on YouTube. So we got to be consistent, justin
- 49:12Speaker 2: all right, when has this show ever been consistent? Never? Never,
- 49:15Speaker 2: and it never will because nothing in my brain is consistent.
- 49:18Speaker 2: All right, this is one topic I wanted to talk
- 49:20Speaker 2: about the last couple of days. By the way, the
- 49:23Speaker 2: logo suite, Oh it is, Yeah, I got a horse
- 49:26Speaker 2: behind the one fifty two. I'll go back and look
- 49:28Speaker 2: at that. All right, I'm looking for a guy that
- 49:31Speaker 2: exits the school building behind us. But I thought this
- 49:35Speaker 2: was a cool article that USA Today did. Here's what
- 49:39Speaker 2: they did. USA Today wrote an article about we asked
- 49:45Speaker 2: AI to predict Fernando Mendoza's NFL career path. I thought,
- 49:52Speaker 2: what a great use of AI. And are you ready?
- 49:57Speaker 2: Because they used Microsoft co pilot, Chat, GPT and gronk
- 50:02Speaker 2: And are you ready? Because I know you're already uncomfortable,
- 50:05Speaker 2: aren't you be honest? I just I mean to me,
- 50:09Speaker 2: I don't know how AI can predict something. I don't either,
- 50:12Speaker 2: but I loved it. I already do not put any socket,
- 50:17Speaker 2: all right. Fernando's career stats, projected by a I are
- 50:21Speaker 2: you ready, I'm ready? All right? Co Pilot projects that
- 50:25Speaker 2: Mendoza will play fourteen NFL seasons. That'd be a good career.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Are you ready for where he's going to be playing?
- 50:34Speaker 2: Uh huh. It says within those seasons they'll he will
- 50:37Speaker 2: suit up for the Raiders, Vikings and Jets. Jesus, yeah,
- 50:44Speaker 2: itand it believes I know, terrible teams. By the way,
- 50:48Speaker 2: it believes he will make a playoff appearance in fifty
- 50:51Speaker 2: percent of those seasons and hoist for those teams, yes exactly.
- 50:56Speaker 2: Are you ready for this though? And hoist one Lombardi Trophy?
- 51:02Speaker 2: Do you like that? So within those fourteen seasons, majority
- 51:06Speaker 2: of it is going to be spent with the Raiders,
- 51:09Speaker 2: So twenty six to thirty three, he'll be with the Raiders,
- 51:13Speaker 2: Minnesota Vikings from thirty four to thirty seven, and he'll
- 51:16Speaker 2: end his lustrous career with nothing but the best team
- 51:20Speaker 2: in the NFL, the New York Jets. He'll have a
- 51:23Speaker 2: career record of one hundred and eight to eighty three,
- 51:27Speaker 2: playoff appearances of seven, Super Bowl appearances of one, Super
- 51:31Speaker 2: Bowl wins of one, MVP, one Pro Bowl of four,
- 51:35Speaker 2: and he will be All Pro selection one time on
- 51:39Speaker 2: the second team. Why are we doing this? I think
- 51:41Speaker 2: it was because it's an absolute wasted time, and I
- 51:44Speaker 2: thought it was awesome. He'll have completion rate of sixty
- 51:48Speaker 2: six percent, passing yards forty seven thousand, I mean TD
- 51:53Speaker 2: to I in T ratio will be three twenty four
- 51:55Speaker 2: to one forty two, and a passer rating on his
- 51:58Speaker 2: career of ninety six. How much this is up to
- 52:02Speaker 2: upset you? It doesn't upset me. At all.
- 52:06Speaker 3: I just I don't I don't understand, Like, that's not
- 52:09Speaker 3: how it's going to pan out. Oh see, I just
- 52:13Speaker 3: think it's dumb going to AI for this stuff in it. Yeah,
- 52:16Speaker 3: well here's what I did.
- 52:17Speaker 2: I thought, Okay, let's go to AI and ask the
- 52:22Speaker 2: question how successful of a show is Just the Cat?
- 52:29Speaker 2: You don't like that question, I'm anxious to see what
- 52:32Speaker 2: it's short answer, Just the Cats hosted by Michael T. Bennett.
- 52:40Speaker 2: I love that it put my middle initial. There appears
- 52:42Speaker 2: to be a consistent, long running, niche successful Kentucky sports
- 52:47Speaker 2: radio show with hundreds of episodes, daily publishing and distribution
- 52:55Speaker 2: across major platforms. While there is no public data unrating
- 53:00Speaker 2: the in size or revenue, it's longevity, platform presence, and
- 53:04Speaker 2: episode volume indicate a stable and engage listener base, especially
- 53:09Speaker 2: within Big Blue Nation. That was the short answer. That
- 53:12Speaker 2: was the short answer. Agree, Yeah, yeah, but it does.
- 53:17Speaker 2: I mean it was relatively complementary about this show, which
- 53:21Speaker 2: but it kept saying. Conclusion, just to catch is a
- 53:24Speaker 2: successful is successful within its niche, with strong signs of
- 53:29Speaker 2: stability and listener engagement, but lacks publicly available metrics to
- 53:34Speaker 2: quantify its broader reach. Oh my gosh, man, but then
- 53:38Speaker 2: it wants to analyze everything else. But I do. I
- 53:41Speaker 2: do love this, and it compares me to you know,
- 53:44Speaker 2: you can guess who it compares me to. I hate that.
- 53:46Speaker 3: I'm only thirty six years old and I heyday eye
- 53:48Speaker 3: the way I do. Really, when I get to be
- 53:51Speaker 3: enjoy it, can you imagine me? It's seventy how grumpy
- 53:54Speaker 3: I'm gonna be with all this?
- 53:55Speaker 2: Yeah? Where just the cats excels? Are you ready for consistency, production, authenticity? Again?
- 54:04Speaker 2: Here we go with a niche community appeal and independent
- 54:08Speaker 2: voice in a crowded market, very crowded market. Yeah? Is
- 54:12Speaker 2: it really? It's I feel like in the state of Kentucky,
- 54:16Speaker 2: I don't feel like I'm trying to think what shows
- 54:18Speaker 2: there are out there. I mean, obviously we have Kentucky
- 54:21Speaker 2: Roll Call, but in Louisville.
- 54:24Speaker 3: Besides, you know, the ones at the other station, I don't.
- 54:28Speaker 3: I don't read that as market as in the Louisville market.
- 54:31Speaker 3: I read that as in the Kentucky market. Well, again,
- 54:35Speaker 3: the same ones that are at the other station here
- 54:37Speaker 3: in Louisville are in Lexington. So where else are their
- 54:39Speaker 3: Kentucky shows?
- 54:41Speaker 2: I mean?
- 54:42Speaker 3: You gotta think of all the podcasts and stuff too. Oh,
- 54:44Speaker 3: I'm not thinking podcasts. I'm thinking radio.
- 54:46Speaker 2: It's just it's a very watered down market when it
- 54:49Speaker 2: comes to Kentucky's. But I don't necessarily include the podcast.
- 54:53Speaker 2: No offense to the podcast people. They do a phenomenal job,
- 54:56Speaker 2: and I'm very proud of the majority of those. I
- 54:59Speaker 2: think some of the people out there need to stop
- 55:01Speaker 2: what they're doing or improve themselves a lot more. I
- 55:05Speaker 2: think you compare podcasts to radio, I think radio you
- 55:10Speaker 2: have a I'm not trying to boast myself. The radio
- 55:13Speaker 2: is essentially a podcast now it is, but it's aren't
- 55:19Speaker 2: radio shows a little more respected or No? I don't know.
- 55:24Speaker 3: It's a great question. I don't really know how to
- 55:27Speaker 3: answer that. I don't either. But I thought that was funny.
- 55:33Speaker 2: I enjoyed every second of it, and I knew that
- 55:35Speaker 2: was going to kind because now you're kind of twitching
- 55:38Speaker 2: over there. You can't settle down, because I knew your
- 55:40Speaker 2: anxiety is a little up on the whole Fernando stuff.
- 55:43Speaker 3: No Ay, I just we're still at the point with
- 55:46Speaker 3: AI where it just makes me uncomfortable, Like I hate
- 55:49Speaker 3: how reliant people have gotten with it when it's I
- 55:53Speaker 3: just don't think it's anywhere close to well refined enough.
- 55:57Speaker 2: I enjoy to the point where I almost use it
- 56:01Speaker 2: every day. I mean, just for fun. I was using
- 56:05Speaker 2: it for picking out horses I wanted to buy, just
- 56:08Speaker 2: to see what kind of information it would give me. Now,
- 56:11Speaker 2: and it gave me really good information. Now I'll use
- 56:14Speaker 2: it also when I'm writing a long information piece on
- 56:20Speaker 2: how the horses that I'm managing are doing. I'll use
- 56:24Speaker 2: that information and put it into AI, and it gives
- 56:27Speaker 2: me an incredible amount of information that I very much use.
- 56:32Speaker 2: So I do I don't.
- 56:34Speaker 3: I just don't dabble in it all that often, other
- 56:36Speaker 3: than if I'm like making up a song or something. Occasionally,
- 56:39Speaker 3: if I have to write a commercial, which I have
- 56:41Speaker 3: to do quite often, I'll type like a prompt in
- 56:45Speaker 3: there just to get ideas from.
- 56:47Speaker 2: But I never I never use what they give me.
- 56:50Speaker 2: I'm just getting picking ideas from. Now to say I've
- 56:53Speaker 2: gone and used AI to help me write a sports show,
- 56:55Speaker 2: I haven't done that. I think there'll come a day
- 56:58Speaker 2: when a lot of people will, because you're a lot
- 57:00Speaker 2: it's like to use as it's your two encyclopedia. I
- 57:04Speaker 2: don't think you are. It's not that I'm going to
- 57:06Speaker 2: get out there and I'm still gonna have my voice,
- 57:09Speaker 2: but it'll give me a lot of background information that
- 57:11Speaker 2: if I was back in my day, we used encyclopedia,
- 57:14Speaker 2: so right, Yeah, I was.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Just gonna turn everybody into robots. This world's gonna suck
- 57:18Speaker 3: in like five hundred years.
- 57:20Speaker 2: I worry that there won't be free thinking anymore. No,
- 57:23Speaker 2: that's the part I worry about the most. Uh, And
- 57:27Speaker 2: because I'll utilize it to a degree, but I still
- 57:29Speaker 2: like my aspect of free thinking. I still want Michael
- 57:33Speaker 2: Bennett to be portrayed. And if it's not, then then
- 57:37Speaker 2: you're right, that's just I would call it lazy.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean that's why I Ultimately, that's why I
- 57:43Speaker 3: brought up the story on my show this morning that
- 57:45Speaker 3: I did, because that was my first thought with this,
- 57:48Speaker 3: is that you're not even free thinking, you're just googling
- 57:52Speaker 3: what to ask. Yeah, and that while that story had
- 57:54Speaker 3: a background and there was different information about it, ultimately
- 57:58Speaker 3: that is going to be the spot.
- 58:00Speaker 2: That we get to. Yeah. Uh. One person texted five
- 58:03Speaker 2: two four one four fourteen fifty on the Luisi thief
- 58:05Speaker 2: text line scoots. Your local bucket list should include tickets
- 58:10Speaker 2: to the Great Steamboat Race. Yes it is rigged, but
- 58:12Speaker 2: it is also a blast on either boat. That's a
- 58:16Speaker 2: good list to come up with, not just bucket lists
- 58:19Speaker 2: of anything you'd want to do around the world. What
- 58:21Speaker 2: is a fair bucket list of two things you would
- 58:24Speaker 2: love to do right here in Louisville. M I'd have
- 58:31Speaker 2: to say I probably I'm pretty close to completing. Mind.
- 58:39Speaker 2: I as vocal as I have.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Been about hating horses in the past, yes, and riding horses, Yes.
- 58:46Speaker 3: I think A pretty cool bucket list item would be
- 58:49Speaker 3: taking a stroll around Churchill Downs on a horse. Oh,
- 58:54Speaker 3: that would be awesome. Yeah, because how many people get
- 58:57Speaker 3: to do that right here?
- 58:59Speaker 2: I've done it. That was one of my big and
- 59:02Speaker 2: I always make fun of myself. It's like, you're gonna
- 59:04Speaker 2: think I'm weird. But one of the biggest bucket lists
- 59:06Speaker 2: that I got to achieve about ten years ago was
- 59:09Speaker 2: taking my horse at Churchill Downs and riding it around
- 59:11Speaker 2: the track. That was unbelievable. I would say the second
- 59:14Speaker 2: one would be taking it to Keenlan and riding around
- 59:16Speaker 2: the track, which I have not done. Mine would be
- 59:18Speaker 2: playvall hall. Oh really yeah, okay, gotta play vahall a
- 59:23Speaker 2: one time in my life. I can't stand that course.
- 59:25Speaker 2: I probably won't be able to either. Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 3: I don't like the layout of it. It doesn't really
- 59:29Speaker 3: set up well for my game. But just to say
- 59:31Speaker 3: you played it, I get it. It's gorgeous and I
- 59:33Speaker 3: would love to play it.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Yeah. I can't think of any two other things I
- 59:38Speaker 2: would want to do. I would say the Great Steamboat
- 59:41Speaker 2: Race I would want to do, and I don't know.
- 59:46Speaker 2: I guess, I guess it would be something Derby related.
- 59:49Speaker 2: Here's a fun one, right. I would love to be
- 59:52Speaker 2: on the Second Street bridge during thunder Ooh, that would
- 59:58Speaker 2: be really cool. Or if I can't be on Second
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Straight Bridge, at least on like one of the boats
- 1:00:03Speaker 2: below the bridge. Yeah, I thought about you when they
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: made the announcement that they're closing the bridge because of
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: the fireworks setups night. Now there goes your free you're
- 1:00:11Speaker 2: free toll that you're bypassing. Are you paying today or
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: going a different round?
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: Anybody wants to venmo me fifteen dollars for the last
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: two days.
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: I appreciate it. Sorry about that. Yeah, I know how
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: you said about that.
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: I woke up this morning and I was debating. I
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: was like, do I just take the long way around
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: or do just bite the bullet and take sixty five?
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: I took sixty five. Josh said, his daughter's name is Nora.
- 1:00:32Speaker 2: What a pretty name. Yeah, tell tell Nora. Just the
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: cat said, happy birthday? Please? We won't we won't sing
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: her a song? Should we? No? Yeah, nobody needs to
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: hear happy birthday? So, and that's such a beautiful name there, Josh,
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: So congress to her. Let's see John here for a
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: third Well, good lord John here again. Yes, you need shooters. However,
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: there is a lot of shooters at the YMCA that
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: knocked down a lot of shots, but they only play
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: pickup and not for college. Look, I would rather have
- 1:01:05Speaker 2: an all around good ball players and athletes where their
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: skill sets can do just about anything on the court.
- 1:01:12Speaker 2: This is how the game should be played nowadays, in
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: my opinion. Yes, Kentucky has a quarterback named Gunner Hoke. Uh,
- 1:01:20Speaker 2: and that's who I was thinking of. Like currently, No,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: I don't think he's there anymore. I think he's already transferred.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: But yeah, Gunner Hoke, I remember Gunner Hope. I mean
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: that is the and he was a quarterback. That is
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: the perfect name for a quarterback in football? Is that?
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: Is he really good for him? Yeah? One other person said,
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: Gunner Hope quarterback that never worked out. Yeah, he didn't
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: work out, which was really a shame. He's done Yeah, Oh,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: he has done at Ohio State as well. Let's see.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: One person said, are uh, let me make sure I'm
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: on the Oh, this guy in Texas in a long time.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: I appreciate this Texter. Uh, there's freedom of speech, but
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: not eat him of consequence. A private business can fire
- 1:02:03Speaker 2: anyone if they say something they don't like. Yeah, that's
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: what I was alluding to. Okay, so if it's a
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: good company policy, then yeah, yeah. But I evidently there's
- 1:02:15Speaker 2: a riff between those two young ladies because she just
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: blasted her freud did against Rassini, I mean blasted her.
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: So there there's got to be something in there, and
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: I would love more background information. I just I don't know,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: I enjoy that kind of stuff. Let's see one person,
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: let's see forty eight. Handley said, who's gonna sanctioned? Vrabel Craft?
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Patriots coming off a great season after several years in
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: the wilderness. They're not rocking that boat. That story will
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: not will be old news soon. Yeah, I get it,
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: because I mean, I think a great example of that
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: as well as Todd Golden mm hmm. Last not this
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: past season, but season before the season they won the
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: national title. People completely forgot a lot of the stuff
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: that was happening with him, and he was being accused
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: of uh doing two people there at University of Florida,
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: and yet that was swept under the rug, especially when
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: the season ended and he had already won a title.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: So yeah, you're you're right. It probably will. With Rabel,
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: they'll probably sweep it under the rug and just say
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: nothing about it. But if he does have a clause
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: in his contract, which I would love to see the
- 1:03:35Speaker 2: contract and see if there is, then you need to
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: be accountable to it. And if they didn't, then yeah,
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: he'll get he'll get away with it. But one person said,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: Michelle said this, I can't find you guys on YouTube.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Look up Big X Sports Radio Louisville. Michelle, Oh, is
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: that what you do? Big Exports? He should have said
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: that a long time ago. You're just telling me you
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: get on YouTube, and I didn't even say what they
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: should be looking at Big X Sports Radio Louisville. That's
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: a lot to remember to hit that subscribe. Can't we
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: just say big X, I X.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: They've been big X, it'll probably come up. They don't
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: think you have to type all that out Big X
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: Sports Radio Louisville. That that's a that's a that's a mouthful.
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: I'm just gonna tell you right now, but hopefully you will.
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: And by the way, I have my hookahs on today.
- 1:04:26Speaker 3: Uh so I need to show you. One person said Michael.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: This is a guy that's never texteds before, So thank
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: you very.
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: Much, Michael. What are your thoughts on Pope's inability to
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: connect with elite players? According to Jacob pull a check
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: of k of that other place deserved. Uh, I'd like
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: to know what his source is. That's listen. Uh. I
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: don't know Jacob Pole chick of KSR, but I mean,
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: I just don't anything that's written. With the exception of
- 1:05:05Speaker 2: a few people. I think Tyler, I forget what her
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: last name. I think Thompson does a great job. I
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: like Tyler. She's the boss now, so she has to
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: do a good Oh she is. Yeah, I didn't know that. Yeah,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: I think you know clearly. I think Nick Rausch does
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: a great job. But why why are you so mean
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: on Nick? Seriously?
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: Because there's nothing more fun in my life than making
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: fun of Nick. Sometimes I think you're serious about it,
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: but maybe I am.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Maybe I'm not. That's all about you to interpret. I
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: I don't like that you're you're knocking your coach when
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: you're trying to get elite players to come here, and
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: you're already saying something like this. I don't like him
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: calling out Mark Pope on that. I'm gonna support Mark
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Pope on this because maybe those elite players won't fit
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: into a system. Let's let's see if we get Tyron Stokes.
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: And if we do, then what are you talking about.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: He's obviously connecting with that player, so he yes, he
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: brought in two elite players last year, Jasper Johnson won
- 1:06:06Speaker 2: them didn't work out, and he's.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: Gone, yeah, but how many how many players did you
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: miss in the portal last year? And then you get
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: the reports about midway through last year that it was
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Mark Pope at the closing table.
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: Yeah, but again we're just hearing this. We don't we
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: can't confirm it. So why why bring it up when
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: this guy Jacob policheck, which, dude, you don't know what
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: you're talking about. I mean, don't don't post stuff like
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: this and say stuff like this on a wild widely
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: viewed website. Uh, and because it's only hurting my team.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: So I'm not willing to go that far yet. Now,
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: when if it's gonna happen consistently, that was only two
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: years into it. Now, if it's happened consistently three, four
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: or five years down the road, okay, we can criticize
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: him at that point, But right now, I don't think
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: it's the time to criticize him, because guess what. If
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: I'm a head coach, I've got one of my lackeys
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: out there reading every site that a big player is considering,
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: and I'm gonna use that as ammunition because guess what
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: they're now going to use this lackey's ammunition by Oh, well,
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: you know, Mark Pope doesn't have to connect. Why would
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: you want to go to play for a coach that
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: doesn't how to connect with the players. You're not going
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: to get to the next level Because now all I'm
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: hearing is that, well, Mark Pope hasn't been able to
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: get players in the NBA. Well, you know, there was
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: a time that natoswe wasn't getting players in the NBA.
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: There was a time when Todd Gold wouldn't getting players
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: of the NBA. There was a time that a lot
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: of these coaches, John Shire, we're not getting players in
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: the NBA. Give him time. They will get to the NBA.
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: They will. Malachi Moreno's going to play in the NBA
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: and he started with Kentucky. So stop criticizing Mark Pope
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: right now. Let's support him right now and then move forward.
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: I mean, I'm getting kind of fired up about this
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: hash yeah right there. Thank you Texter from Florida for
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: asking me that, because Jacob Paul Check you deserve the
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: criticism more than Mark Pope does. Right now, Stop writing
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: all this crap and so oh we got a zoom call.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, and then you're gonna write something like this.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: I couldn't well, I mean, come on, he's got a
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: job to do. Yeah, but he's just dumb post. That's
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: a dumb post. He's just reporting what he's here. I
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: don't care, don't that's like a job. We're the champions
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: of zoom calls. Okay, don't get me started on that.
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: Let a commitment from zoom Diallo.
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: Yeah, but this, that's not that's not groundbreaking new not
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: to know that, Michael Bennett. But it's for nobody, the
- 1:08:37Speaker 3: diehard's out there that want to know every piece of
- 1:08:39Speaker 3: information that's out there.
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: Worded in a different way. Mark, don't make it groundbreaking that,
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: Oh we scheduled a zoom call. That's just dumb. He
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: almost made me say a worst word anyway, all right, Uh, Michael, Michael,
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: I enjoy eating teach while listening to your niche show
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: takes a lie. Michael asked, Ai if it's going to
- 1:09:02Speaker 2: become Skynet. Oh, I really, I don't know what that means,
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: but I'm a little afraid. So during the break, I'll
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: I'll look into that. We gotta take another break follow
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: two four one four fourteen fifty on the Whiskey th
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: text one. Keep those texts coming because I'm enjoying, especially
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: the one I just got from Florida that got me
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: fired up about that writer again. I mean, I, I
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: don't know. I part of me wants to have him
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: on this show, just to talk to him. He's on
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: KRC everywhere. Well, then I don't need to have him
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: on ARC. Yeah I know, but then he needs to
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: be on that show. But yeah, I just and that's
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: why I stick up for him because I've well I
- 1:09:40Speaker 2: heard it. I've heard him on KRC the last couple
- 1:09:43Speaker 2: of weeks, and yeah, I feel bad. He has been
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: getting roasted online for He should get roasted online for this,
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: for just doing his job. That's all he's doing, is
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: doing his job. Do you think listen to this show
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: and everything we say, they're like, hell, yeah, we agree. No,
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: we say things too that people disagree. That's all the time.
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: That's part of the job. But that's part of Jacob's job.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: I'm gonna get it wrong sometimes. I want him to
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: learn to word it in a different way. He should
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: be reporting that, but don't make it where it's oh
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: my gosh, I got this gigantic story.
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: We scheduled a zoom call. I mean, that's just clownish.
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: It just is when he the breaking news should be
- 1:10:23Speaker 2: he is coming to Lexington or he has committed to UK.
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: That's groundbreak. No, that is everyone's opinion out there on
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: so not ever. Okay, well, I mean majority of big
- 1:10:36Speaker 2: you're not a part of Big Blue Nations, so it's
- 1:10:38Speaker 2: everyone in a well you should be I agree, lunatics.
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: It's a lot or taking break, say right, there a
- 1:10:46Speaker 2: lot more on YouTube at Big EX Sports Radio Louisville
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: if you want to look it up. See in a
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: minute fire down standing in the ring. Hey, justin fastest
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: four minutes in all of sports. You know we're doing
- 1:11:23Speaker 2: a radio show. Maybe maybe you should cut your time
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: with me over here during breaks a little quicker. You've
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: done that twice today, by the way, with dead air.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: It's Friday. It's Friday. It's okay. Are we back on YouTube?
- 1:11:36Speaker 2: We we are? Yeah? YouTube? Hello? If you want to
- 1:11:40Speaker 2: join us on YouTube or at Big X Sports Radio Louisville.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: But you can just search big X and it'll come up.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: It will. Have you tried it before? Okay? And you
- 1:11:51Speaker 2: said we have a question on YouTube?
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: We do?
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: I love. I didn't even know they could comment on this.
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: They can comment, Yeah I could. One texture just wants
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: to know.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: So what does Pope need to do in the regular
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: season SEC tournament and NCAA tournament to have another year?
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: Oh? I think he has to has to come in
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: second place at the very least in the SEC regular season.
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: I think the very least, I do. I really do.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: So if this man finishes third in the conference, you're
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: saying we're done with Pope cutting ties.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Well, unless he wins the conference and makes a deep run,
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: I really some that.
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: Is is it?
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: Really? It's unreasonable. Why that's entirely too high?
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: It is?
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: What do you think he should finish? Yet, I'd say
- 1:12:45Speaker 2: if he's got to be in the top five, I
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: think that's too low. I mean I'll grant it. I'll say, okay,
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: third or fourth, I'm not going five. I mean, he's
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: got to be one of the top four finishers in
- 1:12:57Speaker 2: the SEC. He's got to make a run. I'm not
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: saying he has to win the SEC tournament, but he
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: has to make a run. I mean he has to
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: get to at least the semi finals, and then where
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: it matters the most is in the tournament. I really
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: believe he's got to make a lead eight. I'm sorry
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: that that is the that's the belief on how we
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: run this team and how this team should be run
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: at the University of Kentucky. Well, let me just be
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: the first to say it's been nice having how deep.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: Do you think he has to go in the tournament
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: because that's where I think it matters the most. I mean,
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: you're probably right. SEC tournament doesn't mean as much. Only
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: it means more to the fans. I mean, it means
- 1:13:49Speaker 2: what they want to go down there and see. But
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: if I had my choice of winning the SEC Tournament
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: of the NCAA tournament, guess what, ten times out of ten,
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: I'm going to say the NCAA Tournament. It's nice to
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: have a nice deep run. Go see him play in Nashville,
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: because that's where it is every freaking year. But then uh,
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: go in the and make a fun run the NCAA Tournament.
- 1:14:08Speaker 2: I just it's not gonna it's not gonna do it
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: for the fan base to make the Sweet sixteen. No,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: I agree with that. You gotta make the Elite eight.
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: I'm not saying final four. I'm saying Elite eight.
- 1:14:19Speaker 3: What if he finishes sixth in the conference semi finals,
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: in the Big or in the SEC tournament.
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the Elite eight. I'm good with that.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: I'm good with that, Okay, Yeah, because that's where it
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: matters the most. I mean, it's a tough schedule to
- 1:14:32Speaker 2: put together, and I appreciate that. But if he finishes fifth,
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: sixth but makes an Elite eight run, I'm good with that.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: There's something going on right there. But I can't have
- 1:14:43Speaker 2: all this mythical answers that uh and we're questioning and
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: and and uhh saying oh, this team is so great
- 1:14:53Speaker 2: and then ah, yeah, but we had a little problem
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: before the game. We talked about Oh, but I can't
- 1:14:57Speaker 2: talk about it. We can't have Mark Pope act the
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: way you did this past season. He's got to come
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: out and say, yeah, we're struggling at shooting. Here are
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: the reasons why, here's how I'm going to improve it.
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Just like we can't go and lose two teams by
- 1:15:13Speaker 2: double digits. Yeah, can't do that. I mean, if that
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: happens again this year, I don't care where he finishes.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: If it's outside the top five, they're gonna be done
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: with a coach that continues to consistently lose to opposing
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: teams by fifteen, twenty points or more. That's gonna be inexcusable.
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: If he continues not to get these elite players, but
- 1:15:40Speaker 2: they really mesh well together, I'm okay with that. I
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: don't care if they go to the NBA or not.
- 1:15:46Speaker 2: I've never cared about that. It's nice, but that was
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: one of the things I always thought was kind of
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: embarrassing by John cal Perry, that you always had these
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: these tweets out there. Oh, look how many players we
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: have the NBA. Look how many players are in the
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: NBA finals used to play for Kid. Well, to me,
- 1:16:03Speaker 2: that's embarrassing. You mean you had all these players and
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: you got one title out of it. You got one
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: championship game out of it. That's embarrassing. You got two
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: final fours and you had all those players. I mean,
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: look at what reed Shephard is doing and he didn't start.
- 1:16:23Speaker 2: How do you explain yourself that that was gonna be
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: my next question if he was still there, and I
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: know I'd get a phone call. So anyway, Josh texted out,
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: Jacob is fair. He's just doing his job. He's a
- 1:16:38Speaker 2: good dude, even though he's a Kansas fan. Another problem
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: is UK is that UK is so tight lipped on
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: things that even a zoom call is news. Yes, I
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: think they're just having old man takes on this. Michael,
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: thanks for shouting out, Nora. She's gonna love it. So, yeah,
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: happy birthday. I wish we knew how was this is
- 1:16:59Speaker 2: a great text. Yeah, I just disagree. It's not breaking news.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: And he's not ar Kansas fan. For what it's worth,
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: he's a Kansas alone. Word it in a different way.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: Don't say it's breaking that we're having a zoom came
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: on it. It's not breaking. Josh is right.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: Kentucky is so tight lipped on everything that any morsel
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: of information is breaking news.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: Don't do it. Don't do it. By the way, what
- 1:17:24Speaker 2: happened at the end of the Reds game? You say
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: versus the Giants? Did you see that at the end
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: of the game. The picture comes off the mound and
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: starts pointing. Yeah, they don't like each other. Is that
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: what it is?
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: Well, so, Spencer Steer got hit by a pitch. I
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: saw that on Wednesday, right, And I guess there was
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: a little bit of a dust up on Wednesday, and
- 1:17:43Speaker 3: then he gets hit again yesterday and that's kind of
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: what started all this. Yeah, I didn't see it live,
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: but I did see.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Well, Eric Milker didn't have anything to do with the uh,
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: the the relief picture for the Giants.
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: Eric Miller, I mean, I just think it was testy
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: for the last couple of games in that series, but.
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: It made me laugh. You know, the guy, the relief pitcher,
- 1:18:07Speaker 2: Eric Miller, he starts pointing it all of them. Then
- 1:18:09Speaker 2: the red start coming out and he retrieves to his
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: the Giants bench.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: So he had apparently said something to Sal Stewart along
- 1:18:16Speaker 3: the line of sit the bleep down, and Sal responded
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: back and said watch your mouth. So that's that's where
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: all that's all right?
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: D all right?
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: Uh?
- 1:18:26Speaker 2: What do you think of gender reveal? Do you think
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: they've gone overboard? Or do you like gender reveals? Oh?
- 1:18:34Speaker 2: I come through.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: I mean seeing some of the ideas that people come
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: up with to reveal the gender have been pretty cool
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: over the years. I mean I've seen some really fun ones.
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: I don't have any issues with. Okay, good, I get
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: a little tiresome of it. But I will say the
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: greatest that I've ever seen happened in Pittsburgh. Okay, you
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: didn't see this, did you? This was really cool? So,
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: uh Pitchburg.
- 1:18:58Speaker 2: Starting picture, Braxton Ashcraft and his wife are expecting their
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: first child. Okay he's horrible, Okay, yes, but you'll love this.
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: This is really cool. So his whole family on both
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: sides are there at the game watching him get ready
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: to pitch. Well, the way they revealed it, Joey Bart,
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: the catcher for the Pittsburgh Steelers, came out pirates or
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: Pittsburgh Pirates came out of the dugout wearing a sleeve
- 1:19:26Speaker 2: that had a certain color on it revealing what the
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: gender of the baby was. And they he had a
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: pink sleeve on and I thought that was really cool.
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: We've seen something like that, and have you really I've
- 1:19:38Speaker 2: never seen that before. We got to switch it up.
- 1:19:40Speaker 2: You know what he should have done. You take a
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: packet of like pink or blue powder. You tape it
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: to the inside of your catcher's mitt. Ah, that's cool,
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: And that first warm up pitch he throws. I like
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: that that bag pops, the color goes everywhere. That's that's
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: awesome idea. That's how should have been. Or you take
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: a rosin bag out there that's either tainted with pink
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: or blue. I like your idea. That would be the
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: best way. Yes, did you and your wife figure out
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: the gender of the Never? We didn't want to know
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: on either of them. On either of them. Yeah, because
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: I told you that story. Havn't ah, oh yeah about
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: the girl? No, no, no, the story of My wife
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: and I were married May twenty first of nineteen ninety
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: four at four o'clock. Have I ever remember? Oh? Yeah,
- 1:20:26Speaker 2: and your your sons were born on that day. Our
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: first son, Max was born at exactly four o'clock on
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: our wedding invitation on May twenty first, and then our
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: second son was born at one fifty seven on May
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: twenty first. We didn't find out what their gender was,
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: didn't want to know. It was surprise to both of us.
- 1:20:44Speaker 2: Yet my mom dreamed it was going to be a girl,
- 1:20:47Speaker 2: and swore up and down we were going to have
- 1:20:49Speaker 2: a girl. She had literally had bought dolls for the girl,
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: and we didn't have a girl.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: At Easter, we found out one of my cousins was
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: was pregnant, and she old my sister that they probably
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: weren't going to find out the gender, and that blew
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: my sister's mind. She was like, wait, what, how could
- 1:21:06Speaker 3: you How could you have a baby and not know
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: what it's gonna be. I like that used to happen
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: all the time, exactly. I liked the idea of letting
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: it be a surprise. I had no issue with it.
- 1:21:15Speaker 3: My wife had no issue.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: It was fun for us. That's how I'll be if
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: I ever get it. Yeah, you will, you wouldn'tay, I mean,
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: come on, get your girlfriend first. Let me help you
- 1:21:24Speaker 2: out there, ladies, ladies on you No no, no, no, no, no,
- 1:21:27Speaker 2: look at you on YouTube. No time, no money, you
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: don't want me, sorry, no time, no money. I think
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: the song goes no woman, no cry, no time, no money.
- 1:21:40Speaker 2: It's not the name of the song. Okay, So Bob
- 1:21:43Speaker 2: Marley knew what he was talking about. But no, I
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: just I want to see you happy and not I'm happy.
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: I will say this because I don't have a woman
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: doesn't mean I'm not happy. Well, you're probably happier, but
- 1:21:56Speaker 2: that's just a joke, ladies. Okay, But I will say
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: I was scared to death to get married. I was
- 1:22:03Speaker 2: scared to death when I found out my wife, Patricia
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: was pregnant with our first son. But I will say
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: today it's the greatest thing that's ever happened to me.
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: I love my boys. I love hanging out with them,
- 1:22:15Speaker 2: I love doing stuff with them. I mean, I just
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: I would not have it any other way. And I
- 1:22:20Speaker 2: encourage you. Hopefully one day you'll do the same, so
- 1:22:22Speaker 2: hopefully you will fill tail. Yeah, all right, we gotta
- 1:22:25Speaker 2: take our last break. When we come back, I want
- 1:22:27Speaker 2: to talk about the spring game tomorrow because they're changing
- 1:22:29Speaker 2: thing ups on how they're going to score the game.
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: I also want to talk about baseball. And then also
- 1:22:36Speaker 2: there's a new rule change for basketball and they're hoping
- 1:22:40Speaker 2: to implement this in all sports. And then I want
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: to talk about one more thing about a car that
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: is coming out which looks like the coolest car in
- 1:22:49Speaker 2: the world. We'll talk about as soon as we get back.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: If you want to text me if I will two
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: four one four, fourteen fifty stay right there. More just
- 1:22:56Speaker 2: the Cats coming up. One more segment on this Friday.
- 1:22:58Speaker 2: Join us on YouTube. Stuck way out by a second
- 1:23:10Speaker 2: only one way.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: Ohayout hey, you got to give me bye, just.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: Don't know matter.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: You got to give me. I love giddy. This song
- 1:23:37Speaker 2: will forever remind me of one movie in one movie
- 1:23:40Speaker 2: only and you know the movie, right, Caddy Shack, Caddy Shack. Yeah, okay,
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: that's weird. You told me to turn this on and
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: now it's weird. Okay, I got the YouTube on so
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: that I can You said, turn it on so you
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: can see the it's a little delayed. Oh yeah, it
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: is a little blade, but it's weird. Yeah. I don't
- 1:24:00Speaker 2: like looking at myself, so anyway, I got to turn
- 1:24:03Speaker 2: that off as quick as I can. One person said,
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: not knowing the gender first is impractical. Better to let
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: people know what they need for the baby shower. That's it.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: I think impractical is pretty strong. Yeah, come on, Jamie, No, no,
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: it's not impractical. They can still there's lots of stuff
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: they can buy out there that doesn't have to be
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: gender related, just by yellow stuff the most well that
- 1:24:31Speaker 2: I would agree with that. The other thing is guess
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: what by diapers because that's the most expensive expense there
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: is right there? Formula, babyfood that too, yoys, Yeah, teethers,
- 1:24:43Speaker 2: all kinds of stuff. One person said, let's see Patrick said,
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: finally I could see what Michael Bennett looks like. Sorry
- 1:24:52Speaker 2: about you, Patrick. How do I look? I mean, Patrick,
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: how do I look? I'd like to know, but yeah,
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: I think I look ridiculous. But all right, let's get
- 1:25:00Speaker 2: to a couple of things. First of all, UK football
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: tomorrow eleven o'clock. I think it's going to be a
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: lot of fun. You should go, but you need a ticket,
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: so that's the only I say. You don't have to
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: buy the ticket, but you have to get the ticket
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: to be in order to enter. How stupid is that?
- 1:25:18Speaker 2: I don't understand it, But yeah, I think it's rather silly.
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: Come to the game, but you have to have a ticket,
- 1:25:24Speaker 3: I know, for you know, just instead of just showing
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: up to the gate and walking through. That's all they
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: can get a number on it.
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: I guess, but I don't. Now they're having up on
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: the Woodford level. You can go there and have some
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: eats and stuff. That does cost twenty dollars because you're
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: getting food and drink. But the fact that you have
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: to come in here with a ticket just to sit
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: in the stands is kind of ridiculous. But all right,
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: let's get to this, because you know, they're not going
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: to have I think it's like fifteen or eighteen players
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: that aren't going to be playing, but they'll all be ready,
- 1:25:57Speaker 2: shut up, I know what. He's all right, oh you
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: look all right, Well that's a compliment coming from a guy. Okay,
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: so thank you, Patrick. I'll take that as a compliment.
- 1:26:07Speaker 2: You look all right. You could say I look dapper,
- 1:26:11Speaker 2: you could say you're a handsome looking fella. I'm not interested,
- 1:26:14Speaker 2: but you look all right. I think he got that
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: from the song. I came back with, Oh, okay, is
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: that what it is? Checks out? Yeah? Because I am
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: all right? But can I get back to this please?
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: I appreciate your of course, it's gonna be the first
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: practice admission. We talked about that. Here's the thing. They're
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: gonna have a format in the game format. The teams
- 1:26:35Speaker 2: will be split up into the blue team and the
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: white team the offense WI were The offense will wear
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: blue and the defense will wear all white. The bull Yeah,
- 1:26:45Speaker 2: isn't it though? You like that? The full team the
- 1:26:49Speaker 2: come up. The colors are blue and white. Why are
- 1:26:51Speaker 2: you saying creative that it's a funny joke. The full
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: team will run out of the center tunnel together, Uh,
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: to the marching band. I love that they explain this completely.
- 1:27:00Speaker 2: What if they fight, well, I mean, it's it's the
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: fight song, so might as well. The game will feature
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: four fifteen minute quarters. The second half could be a
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: running clock based on coaches decision. For the second format.
- 1:27:14Speaker 2: For the scoring format, the offense gets six points for
- 1:27:17Speaker 2: a touchdown, one point for an extra point, two points
- 1:27:19Speaker 2: for a conversion from the two yard line. Wait, so
- 1:27:22Speaker 2: we're playing football. Yeah, that's what you're telling me. Three
- 1:27:26Speaker 2: points for a field goal, four points for a conversion
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: from the ten yard line. The defense can score six
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: points for a touchdown, six points for a turnover, and
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: three points for a a three and out or turnover
- 1:27:41Speaker 2: on downs, and one point for a forced punt, so
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: the defense can score as well. Okay, so I kind
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: of like the format, so you know you're about to
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: make fun of it. I mean, don't explain to me
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: that a touchdown six points and an extra point. I'm
- 1:27:55Speaker 2: right there with you, but I don't make sure everyone
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: out there completely understands and they don't have to go
- 1:28:00Speaker 2: to AI and say, please exclain to me. I'm not
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: knocking on you at all. I'm knocking on this beat
- 1:28:06Speaker 2: you are, but I feel like you're knocking on me.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: But anyway, have at it. But all right, So I
- 1:28:14Speaker 2: did like that, So I think it's gonna be a
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: lot of fun. I hope a lot of people end
- 1:28:17Speaker 2: up going, because, uh, I want to see a big
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: crowd for the first one. So this is you know,
- 1:28:25Speaker 2: will Stein's first one, and we'll see how it goes.
- 1:28:27Speaker 2: But anyway, by the way, I did go luck look
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: up what sky Nett was, you know, the one Texter
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: was telling us to go. Ask Ai, So are you
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: going to become sky Neet? Ai said no, I'm a
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: language model, not a self aware system with goals, agency,
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: or the ability to act in the world on my own.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: I don't have persistent memory between conversations. I can't modify myself.
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: So Skynett I didn't know anything about sky Net. I
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: still don't. The scenario assumes an AI that wants to
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: want something and acts to protect that one. I don't
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: have once in that sense, I process your message and respond.
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: That's the extent of it. God your age. I don't
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: say something I wish I was like eighty five, I
- 1:29:18Speaker 2: really do. I don't. I don't want to be around
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: for the next phase. With all I love every minute
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: of it. So it's gonna be fun, all right, Let's
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: get to this. Uh, The NCAA made a rule change
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: where now they're going to allow men's and women's basketball
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: to participate in foreign tours every single year instead of
- 1:29:41Speaker 2: every four years, and the NC double A is requesting
- 1:29:45Speaker 2: that this rule change and apply to every sport out there.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: So you like this? Why do you like this?
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: I mean, with the landscape of college sports nowadays, where
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: you're bringing in a brand new team basically in every
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: single year, you I need an opportunity for that team
- 1:30:01Speaker 3: to jail together. And I think an overseas trip is
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: exactly what the doctor orders in that regard, no matter.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: But if they're letting him do it overseas, why can't
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: they do it right here in the United States?
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: I mean it can. Let's just let's restrictions to it
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: being exclusively overseas. Yeah, but well all right, So if
- 1:30:19Speaker 2: U K or IU or any team that you wanted
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: to follow went overseas, where would you like to go
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: see them play Fiji? Wow, that's a great idea, That's
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: my answer for any time we bring up overseas. Is
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: it really Fiji's the place you want to go? Yeah,
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: that's a great idea. I would love to do that
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: because you know, uh, that's not a fun trip by
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: the way, I couldn't imagine it would be. Yeah, that's
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: a long flight, but I hear that place is I've
- 1:30:47Speaker 2: always wanted to go to Fiji and never done it.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: Great choice right there, Thank you that I would be
- 1:30:52Speaker 2: right there. When cal was talking about taking UK over
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: to Italy, It's like, I don't want to go all
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: the way to Italy, but Fiji I probably would do that.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: The chili, Yeah, what why'd you say that? Oh? You
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: said you brought up it only that's my wife's maiden name. Oh, okay,
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: so I said it. I used to say bullet chili because.
- 1:31:12Speaker 3: You know, uh, do you know John Spears's name when
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: he was born was batcha GALOOPI.
- 1:31:18Speaker 2: Okay, he's also a town I didn't know that. Really.
- 1:31:21Speaker 2: I met a guy last night at that party that
- 1:31:23Speaker 2: do you know John Spears? He said he went on
- 1:31:27Speaker 2: a golf trip with him, So, yeah, I wonder who
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: that was. I don't know you remember his name that
- 1:31:31Speaker 2: I'm the youngest guy that goes on this golf trip.
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: I have no idea what his name is has uh.
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: One person said, Michael always looks like he's a dapper
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: dan man, and that's a compliment. I like to dress up,
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: you do, Yeah, I like wearing nice things. I wore
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: nice things that I wore a coat and tie last
- 1:31:49Speaker 2: night because it was Derby attire all right, uh tonight
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: starting at six point thirty, Tomorrow at two pm and
- 1:31:57Speaker 2: Sunday at one UK plays uh uh vainebilt So first
- 1:32:01Speaker 2: pitch tonight, six point thirty. This is a big series. Unfortunately,
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: it's not gonna be on the SEC network. What you
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: gotta go online. It's gonna be on the SEC Plus.
- 1:32:09Speaker 2: So you gotta go do that, Okay, that whole river roar.
- 1:32:12Speaker 2: This is a big series for UK baseball. You know,
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: they've lost pretty much every series in the SEC. It's
- 1:32:18Speaker 2: time for them to win a series. They have to
- 1:32:20Speaker 2: win this one if they want to make any kind
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: of a run to make it because they're you know,
- 1:32:24Speaker 2: the last two weeks they have been ranked. They got
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: to get back in the ranking system. They got to
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: be able to have a pretty good rate. What am
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: I trying to say, finish strong in the SEC so
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: that they can have a good layout for the SEC tournament.
- 1:32:41Speaker 2: All right, So they got to have a good seed
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: and then for that, you know, hopefully they can make
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: a deep run in the again of the the College
- 1:32:49Speaker 2: World Series playoff system. This is a must win series.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: If they don't sweep them, they have to win at
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: least two games. They can't lose games at Kentucky Proud.
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: I never thought the season would play out for them
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: the way it has, with the way they started. Friend
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: you and me both borderline disappointing.
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: I am too. I'm right there with you. I'm in fact,
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: I'm really disappointed how the season's played out. But before
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: we go, I do want to talk about this one thing.
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: Did you see you were? One minute is not enough.
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: Rolls Royce is coming out with an electric car. Cool.
- 1:33:21Speaker 2: Are you ready? It's it's it's based on a nineteen twenty. Look,
- 1:33:27Speaker 2: it looks unbelievably amazing. Are you ready for the price?
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: Two and forty eight thousand? Yeah, you're You're so off,
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: it's not even funny. In between six point eight million
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: dollars and eight million, they're only making a hundred of them.
- 1:33:42Speaker 2: Can you imagine spending that much, not just in a car,
- 1:33:47Speaker 2: an electric car? You got you got it? Yeah, it's crazy.
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: I don't care. If I was a billionaire, I'm not
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: buying it was seven million dollars. No, I'm right there
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: with you. I don't care what it costs. And if
- 1:34:00Speaker 2: I had all the money in the world, I'm not
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: spending that much money on a car. That's crazy. It's
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: the dumbest thing in the world. But people are gonna
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: get out there somebody. I bet there is a line
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: right now in a list of people that want that
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: car immediately. So anyway, all right, you're gonna have a
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: big weekend. Yeah you're by yourself. Yep, we're gonna get
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: your girl. Nope. Yeah, somebody's go out there, gonna see
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: you on the YouTube and you're gonna get your girl.
- 1:34:21Speaker 2: So anyway, everybody have a safe weekend. I hope you
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: enjoy the festivities downtown, thunder over Loville. We'll talk to
- 1:34:28Speaker 2: you on Monday. Everything about it. We're getting closer to
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: derby time, everybody. I'm excited about it. See you next Monday.
