- 1:56Speaker 2: not hip hop. It's his hop. H-I-S-H-O-P on all platforms.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And once you download it, go to the top left menu,
- 2:05Speaker 2: hit that drop down and click on live chat. It
- 2:09Speaker 2: only takes a couple of seconds to register. Not long
- 2:11Speaker 2: at all. Easy, very easy. Just click the register button,

- 2:27Speaker 2: the way the app works, just to let you know,

- 2:35Speaker 2: Our radio station is at the top, His Hot Radio.
- 2:38Speaker 2: We've invited other stations from other cities to join the

- 3:04Speaker 2: get registered there. Now there you will have to confirm
- 3:07Speaker 2: your email address, but it's worth it because in the
- 3:10Speaker 2: community we can do a little more. We can post videos, pictures, links, articles.
- 3:17Speaker 2: We could do a lot more in that. And so
- 3:20Speaker 2: this makes our online community even more efficient. I'm using
- 3:26Speaker 2: this platform to disciple and to reach people who don't
- 3:32Speaker 2: normally go to church. But we do want you to
- 3:35Speaker 2: go to church. We want you to be submitted to
- 3:38Speaker 2: a godly pastor, a mentor, someone who can pour into
- 3:42Speaker 2: your life because that accountability is important and we will
- 3:46Speaker 2: never outgrow the accountability part of And it's a crucial
- 3:53Speaker 2: part to our growth as well. Someone who can speak
- 3:56Speaker 2: the word of God when things get foggy in our hearts. Amen.
- 4:02Speaker 2: So that's what we do. That's what we offer right
- 4:04Speaker 2: here on the His Hop Radio podcast. And so let's
- 4:12Speaker 2: break down where we're at today. We're in chapter 23.
- 4:19Speaker 2: And God has already exposed the false prophets who were
- 4:23Speaker 2: speaking in his name. But even though God has not
- 4:29Speaker 2: sent them, they took it upon themselves to go on
- 4:31Speaker 2: their own. And now God gets even more specific in
- 4:38Speaker 2: this episode, in this chapter, actually. The false prophets are saying,
- 4:42Speaker 2: I dreamed they were presenting their dreams as personal dreams.
- 4:48Speaker 2: revelation as though they were coming directly from God. But
- 4:55Speaker 2: God asked a question right here. And that question speaks
- 5:01Speaker 2: loudly even to us today. When we're going to get
- 5:08Speaker 2: into that, as we get into the podcast, we're going
- 5:13Speaker 2: to get into the question that God asked. But before
- 5:18Speaker 2: we do that, let's go ahead and go before Father
- 5:20Speaker 2: in prayer. Heavenly Father, we ask, Father God, that you
- 5:24Speaker 2: would totally take over the airwaves, take over the podcast.
- 5:28Speaker 2: Holy Spirit, use me as a tool and a vessel.
- 5:33Speaker 2: We ask that you would send this out to the masses,
- 5:36Speaker 2: to those who need to hear this episode today. We
- 5:40Speaker 2: ask that you would attach a blessing to everyone who
- 5:43Speaker 2: listens to it, likes, subscribes, and follows. this podcast on
- 5:48Speaker 2: whatever platform, YouTube, Spotify, those who've downloaded the app and
- 5:56Speaker 2: visit our website. Let there be a blessing. Let it
- 5:59Speaker 2: be anointed and touched of you. We ask that your
- 6:02Speaker 2: hand will be all over it. As I disappear, I
- 6:06Speaker 2: want people to see you, Lord Jesus. So magnify your name.
- 6:09Speaker 2: And I pray in Jesus name. Amen. All right. Well,
- 6:19Speaker 2: let's get into it. And so I'm going to read,
- 6:23Speaker 2: so this is only five verses we're breaking down. I'm
- 6:26Speaker 2: going to read it and then we're going to fall back.
- 6:29Speaker 2: So in verse 25, it says, I have heard what
- 6:35Speaker 2: the prophets have said. The prophesied lies in my name saying,
- 6:43Speaker 2: I have dreamed. I have dreamed that How long will
- 6:50Speaker 2: this be in the heart of the prophets who prophesy lies? Indeed,
- 6:55Speaker 2: they are prophets of the deceit of their own heart,
- 7:02Speaker 2: who try to make my people forget my name by
- 7:05Speaker 2: their dreams, which everyone tells his neighbor as their fathers
- 7:12Speaker 2: forgot my name for Baal. The prophet who has a dream,
- 7:21Speaker 2: let him tell the dream. And he who has my word,
- 7:25Speaker 2: let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff
- 7:30Speaker 2: to the wheat, says the Lord. Is not my word
- 7:35Speaker 2: like a fire, says the Lord. And like a hammer
- 7:39Speaker 2: that breaks the rocks in pieces. Amen. You got to
- 7:46Speaker 2: give a praise right there. God's word is faithful. So
- 7:56Speaker 2: we're going to break it down. Let's fall back to
- 7:58Speaker 2: verse 25. I have dreams. I have dreams. So I
- 8:11Speaker 2: have heard what the prophet said that prophesied lies in
- 8:15Speaker 2: my name. And then he quotes them and he says,
- 8:20Speaker 2: I have a dream. I have a dream. Now, whenever
- 8:26Speaker 2: you see repetition or whenever the Bible repeats something like that,
- 8:33Speaker 2: it's important. These prophets are making their dreams sound authoritative, like.
- 8:43Speaker 2: They were as equal to the scriptures, right? Have you
- 8:46Speaker 2: ever heard pastors or spiritual leaders and they made their
- 8:51Speaker 2: personal preference as if it was a commandment from the
- 8:56Speaker 2: word of God? I've been in a fellowship like that. Now,
- 8:59Speaker 2: these prophets are making their dreams equal to scripture or
- 9:05Speaker 2: even more important because they started to, if they did,
- 9:10Speaker 2: if they neglected the word, if they did not, Like
- 9:14Speaker 2: the word, they could have saved a lot of lives, right?
- 9:17Speaker 1: It looks like you lost another one.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Now, God says, I have heard them. Right? Now, that
- 9:38Speaker 2: should get our attention right there. They're presenting their messages
- 9:44Speaker 2: as though their messages were from God and God heard
- 9:48Speaker 2: these messages. He says, I have heard them. God hears
- 9:53Speaker 2: what people say in his name. Remember the last chapter,
- 9:58Speaker 2: he said he feels. the heavens and the earth. God
- 10:01Speaker 2: is everywhere. Imagine filling the heavens. Now, there's an importance
- 10:12Speaker 2: here of distinguishing between God's revealed word and a person's
- 10:18Speaker 2: experience or a personal impression, right? A person experience may
- 10:28Speaker 2: be genuine to them, but an experience does not automatically
- 10:35Speaker 2: become scripture. Just because you experience something Does it mean
- 10:42Speaker 2: it's scripture? And see, I even myself have to be
- 10:45Speaker 2: careful with this because I love to watch testimonies from
- 10:52Speaker 2: a couple of YouTube channels. One is a guy's voice
- 10:55Speaker 2: today and the other one is touching the afterlife. And
- 11:00Speaker 2: these are NEDs, near death experiences. And a lot of people,
- 11:07Speaker 2: they go to hell in these testimonies and they come back.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Praise God that they come back, that God brings them
- 11:14Speaker 2: to hell so they can come back with the message.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Some people experience the torture. Some people do not. Some
- 11:20Speaker 2: people feel the heat. Some people do not. Some people
- 11:25Speaker 2: see horrendous, terrifying demons and devils and are tortured. And
- 11:33Speaker 2: some people don't. Some people just see shadows. And even
- 11:38Speaker 2: though I like them, And it's actually, for me, it
- 11:43Speaker 2: just keeps the fear of God before my eyes, like
- 11:46Speaker 2: there is a real place called hell. And I believe
- 11:49Speaker 2: it's worse than what any of these people can describe
- 11:52Speaker 2: in these testimonies. And it reminds me that there's a
- 11:56Speaker 2: place to avoid, right? That's kind of like the reason
- 11:59Speaker 2: why I watch them and I get some insight. They
- 12:03Speaker 2: describe heaven. They share that they know the appearance of
- 12:10Speaker 2: Jesus himself. He appeared to them. They try to describe
- 12:13Speaker 2: how he looks. Some people even drew pictures of him.
- 12:18Speaker 2: But even though I like them, I have to keep
- 12:21Speaker 2: things in check and I have to know these things
- 12:25Speaker 2: have to be compared with scripture. Whenever I see something
- 12:31Speaker 2: that doesn't line up with scripture, I discount it. I
- 12:34Speaker 2: don't say, well, maybe that's their interpretation or whatever. You
- 12:38Speaker 2: can't take what they say in these videos as doctrine.
- 12:43Speaker 2: I can't just watch a testimony, then start teaching as doctrine,
- 12:50Speaker 2: their experience. No, I have to stay faithful. We have
- 12:54Speaker 2: to stay faithful to the word, right? Guys, people need
- 13:01Speaker 2: to know his word so they can recognize when something
- 13:05Speaker 2: begins to present itself. themselves as come from God as
- 13:10Speaker 2: divine revelation. But if it doesn't agree with the word,
- 13:16Speaker 2: or if it doesn't agree with God has already spoken,
- 13:19Speaker 2: then that's when we need to test it and challenge it.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Now that is really important for today. The times are
- 13:32Speaker 2: living in people have dreams. They have visions, strong opinions. Right,
- 13:38Speaker 2: because we are living in the day of the personal brand,
- 13:41Speaker 2: the day of social media. Anyone can grab a mic
- 13:45Speaker 2: and have a platform and people have experiences. Some are
- 13:51Speaker 2: genuine and some are made up. Like if you don't
- 13:54Speaker 2: think people will get on social media and lie, you
- 13:57Speaker 2: were born yesterday. People will lie within a drop of
- 14:03Speaker 2: a hat. And so we can't take everything on the
- 14:08Speaker 2: Internet as if it's doctrine. Right. And then they'll tell you,
- 14:14Speaker 2: God showed me this. God revealed this to me. But
- 14:18Speaker 2: our responsibility isn't to blindly accept every claim. We have
- 14:25Speaker 2: to ask, does this agree with the word, especially if
- 14:30Speaker 2: God has already given you a word?
- 14:32Speaker 4: Right.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Because God will never contradict himself. All right, verse 26,
- 14:42Speaker 2: the deception of their own hearts. Now, God asked the question,
- 14:46Speaker 2: how long shall this be in the heart of the
- 14:50Speaker 2: prophets that prophesy lies? And he also gives the answer
- 14:56Speaker 2: right after he asked the question. He says, they are
- 15:00Speaker 2: prophets of deceit of their own heart. Now this is serious, beloved.
- 15:08Speaker 2: They were not just simply making an honest mistake. You know, we,
- 15:13Speaker 2: the Bible says that we are like dumb sheep spiritually.
- 15:19Speaker 2: We need a shepherd. We need our relationship with the Lord.
- 15:22Speaker 2: And sometimes we do make honest mistakes, but there was
- 15:27Speaker 2: something more sinister working with these prophets. They were allowing
- 15:32Speaker 2: their own hearts to become the source of Of what
- 15:36Speaker 2: they were telling God's people. And that is wicked. We
- 15:43Speaker 2: have to know when there's a pastor, somebody who gets
- 15:47Speaker 2: on a platform on live TV or on social media,
- 15:52Speaker 2: and they begin to twist the word so that they
- 15:55Speaker 2: can express their own hearts over the word of God.
- 16:01Speaker 2: The Bible says in Peter that they twist the word
- 16:05Speaker 2: to their own destruction. The word of God is not
- 16:09Speaker 2: to be tampered with. Now, that is a very dangerous
- 16:15Speaker 2: temptation for those who are in ministry. We can start
- 16:19Speaker 2: with what God has said and eventually replace it with
- 16:24Speaker 2: what we want God to say.
- 16:27Speaker 1: It looks like you lost another one.
- 16:31Speaker 2: That is dangerous. There's a lot of reasons pastors do this.
- 16:36Speaker 2: They do it sometimes motivated by money, by pressure. And
- 16:43Speaker 2: I was in a situation myself in our Christian hip-hop ministry,
- 16:50Speaker 2: our club hip-hop ministry, when we first started out and
- 16:54Speaker 2: we started doing Bible studies on Sunday nights. The worship leader.
- 17:01Speaker 2: We had a worship team. His whole family was musically inclined.
- 17:07Speaker 2: And this was my partner in the ministry. So he
- 17:10Speaker 2: had his wife, his children and family and friends. And
- 17:18Speaker 2: they wanted to come in, provide the music in the
- 17:23Speaker 2: whole service was majority music. And then he just wanted
- 17:27Speaker 2: me to come at the end and share my, a scripture,
- 17:31Speaker 2: like a little motivational speech and be done with it.
- 17:36Speaker 2: So they wanted music and then they just wanted like
- 17:40Speaker 2: maybe one or two scriptures. They just want me to
- 17:43Speaker 2: come up, sit down and go and be about my business. Now,
- 17:50Speaker 2: as you see, as what I do here on this podcast,
- 17:54Speaker 2: I love to go verse by verse, chapter by chapter.
- 17:58Speaker 2: That was my heart. to bring this group of people,
- 18:04Speaker 2: the people that have joined to the vision that God
- 18:08Speaker 2: has given. I wanted to spend time in the word.
- 18:15Speaker 2: And they were against that. They actually started to stop
- 18:21Speaker 2: showing up. They eventually stopped showing up and stopped being
- 18:27Speaker 2: a part of it. And Things kind of never recovered
- 18:33Speaker 2: after that. And so now a couple of things could happen.
- 18:40Speaker 2: Maybe it wasn't time to do the verse by verse study.
- 18:45Speaker 2: I'm not saying that what I did was right. I mean,
- 18:48Speaker 2: I'm not going to water down the word for one
- 18:51Speaker 2: that's out. So if he would ask if I would
- 18:54Speaker 2: teach a different doctrine or stray from scripture, then no,
- 18:58Speaker 2: that would have been a hard no, but, He was
- 19:02Speaker 2: asking for some motivational speeches. And maybe at that time,
- 19:08Speaker 2: because we were starting out, I could have done that
- 19:11Speaker 2: and still stay true to my convictions. But I did
- 19:17Speaker 2: not give in to that. I didn't give in to
- 19:19Speaker 2: the pressure. Even when people started to leave, I just
- 19:22Speaker 2: stuck with teaching verse by verse. So I don't know.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Maybe God will show me and let me know. If
- 19:31Speaker 2: I was right or wrong, but as far as this
- 19:36Speaker 2: scripture that we're reading in is dangerous. If we try
- 19:41Speaker 2: to make God say what we want him to say
- 19:44Speaker 2: just to appease people. Now, my situation was that, but
- 19:48Speaker 2: I just want to share that. there is pressure in
- 19:51Speaker 2: ministry where people are going to want to. Get you
- 19:56Speaker 2: to do what they want and say how they think
- 20:00Speaker 2: you should say it when God may have put something
- 20:03Speaker 2: else on your heart to do. So. Amen. Now. That
- 20:15Speaker 2: is when ministry can become dangerous. Instead of asking, what
- 20:19Speaker 2: does the Bible say? We start asking, what do I
- 20:23Speaker 2: want people to hear? Right? Instead of preaching repentance, we
- 20:29Speaker 2: preach popularity. So it would have been a popular thing
- 20:34Speaker 2: for me to just to say a motivational speech. Everyone
- 20:38Speaker 2: probably would have been happy. We probably would have still
- 20:42Speaker 2: had the club to this day. Who knows? But instead
- 20:46Speaker 2: of challenging people, we begin to entertain them. Instead of
- 20:53Speaker 2: confronting sin, we avoid the subject because we are afraid
- 21:00Speaker 2: that people will leave. And so, I don't know, maybe
- 21:03Speaker 2: the Lord answered the question, right? Whether or not I
- 21:06Speaker 2: was right and wrong, because once you go through the
- 21:09Speaker 2: Bible verse by verse, sin eventually will be confronted and
- 21:13Speaker 2: eventually your sin will be confronted and you will have
- 21:18Speaker 2: to be challenged to change and to turn away, forsake.
- 21:24Speaker 2: And so maybe that's what they were trying to avoid.
- 21:29Speaker 2: But God's word isn't supposed to be shaped around the
- 21:38Speaker 2: opinions of others or our feelings or our emotions, we
- 21:43Speaker 2: are supposed to be sharpened by the word. Bible says
- 21:49Speaker 2: that we are here to sharpen each other. And the
- 21:53Speaker 2: only way that we can do that is the word
- 21:57Speaker 2: of God. Amen. Verse 27, when people forget God, now
- 22:03Speaker 2: God says that these false prophets were causing people to
- 22:08Speaker 2: forget him. That is crazy. Right? They were replacing the
- 22:16Speaker 2: true God with something else. And we need discernment to
- 22:22Speaker 2: be able to see and understand what people are doing.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Acts like this, right? So God compares it to the
- 22:32Speaker 2: way their fathers had forgotten his name for ball. Now,
- 22:37Speaker 2: if you are a Bible student, you know that Bell
- 22:40Speaker 2: worship or ball worship. It was an ancient God that Israel,
- 22:46Speaker 2: the Israelites would always worship. They would turn away from
- 22:50Speaker 2: the true and living God and worship these false gods.
- 22:54Speaker 2: And God was always battling this false God, battling for
- 22:58Speaker 2: the hearts of the people. And Israel got in trouble
- 23:03Speaker 2: for doing this. Now, this is bigger than simply believing
- 23:09Speaker 2: one wrong teaching. False teachers can eventually change who people worship.
- 23:18Speaker 2: And that's the danger in false teachers and false prophets.
- 23:23Speaker 2: They can change your mind. And you can worship something
- 23:27Speaker 2: that you don't even know. That's why it's crazy to
- 23:30Speaker 2: me some of these occults and some of these religions...
- 23:35Speaker 2: are structured in a way to where only the higher
- 23:38Speaker 2: ups truly know what they worship. Like the people who
- 23:43Speaker 2: are lower, right? The regular lay people, they don't know
- 23:49Speaker 2: the higher secrets of organizations or religions that they are
- 23:56Speaker 2: committed to. They can be, well, they are worshiping Satan.
- 24:00Speaker 2: It's just all dressed up and packaged. But now in
- 24:04Speaker 2: our generation, Satan has gotten bolder. He's out in public now.
- 24:07Speaker 2: There's statues of him in public places. He's on Netflix.
- 24:14Speaker 2: There's actually a show called Satan on Netflix or Lucifer.
- 24:18Speaker 2: It's like he's getting more bold and more open to
- 24:22Speaker 2: where people don't need those secret religions no more. But
- 24:27Speaker 2: a false teacher can change who you worship. danger of
- 24:35Speaker 2: false prophecy is it merely the that someone gets one
- 24:41Speaker 2: prediction wrong right just because you get something wrong doesn't
- 24:46Speaker 2: mean you're a false prophet we're people right even though
- 24:50Speaker 2: it scares me to death i never want to prophesy
- 24:53Speaker 2: something wrong to anyone but you can get it wrong
- 24:57Speaker 2: here and there even the good prophets could think of
- 25:01Speaker 2: nathaniel the prophet. Now he's the one who confronted King
- 25:06Speaker 2: David in the Bible when he sinned with Bathsheba. Right?
- 25:13Speaker 2: But before that happened, Nathaniel was with David and David
- 25:21Speaker 2: wanted to build a house for the Lord. He wanted
- 25:24Speaker 2: to build the first temple. And as we know, the
- 25:28Speaker 2: first temple was built by King Solomon. But as soon
- 25:32Speaker 2: as David brought the suggestion, Nathaniel was in agreement with it.
- 25:39Speaker 2: He told him to do all that is in your
- 25:42Speaker 2: heart to do. Now, the mistake he made was he
- 25:46Speaker 2: didn't consult God. So Nathaniel the prophet went to his
- 25:52Speaker 2: chambers later that night and God showed up and spoke
- 25:55Speaker 2: to him and says, David cannot build the temple. So
- 25:59Speaker 2: he had to backtrack and tell David that the true
- 26:02Speaker 2: word of the Lord, that no, you're not the one
- 26:06Speaker 2: to build the temple. Now, did that make him a
- 26:09Speaker 2: false prophet? No. He was one of the most faithful
- 26:14Speaker 2: in Israel, but it just goes to show you that
- 26:17Speaker 2: prophets can make mistakes as well. It doesn't automatically make
- 26:23Speaker 2: you a false prophet if you make a mistake, but
- 26:25Speaker 2: the danger of a true false prophet is The deep,
- 26:34Speaker 2: deep danger is that people begin trusting the messenger instead
- 26:40Speaker 2: of God. Eventually, the messenger becomes more important than the
- 26:46Speaker 2: Lord himself. And that is something to guard our hearts for.
- 26:57Speaker 2: That's why we have to be careful about putting personalities
- 27:03Speaker 2: on pedestals. Right? Your pastor may be very charismatic. Your
- 27:11Speaker 2: pastor may be very wise. We have a pastor who
- 27:16Speaker 2: he loves to break down witty sayings and he gives
- 27:21Speaker 2: punchlines in his sermons and you think of things that
- 27:26Speaker 2: you just, you know, things that have not really occurred
- 27:31Speaker 2: to us, right? But the preacher is not Jesus. The
- 27:39Speaker 2: prophet is not Jesus. The Christian artist is not Jesus.
- 27:44Speaker 2: A podcast host is not Jesus. A ministry leader is
- 27:50Speaker 2: not Jesus. And yes, even his hot radio isn't Jesus
- 27:55Speaker 2: at all. Our job is to point people to Christ
- 28:00Speaker 2: and his word. If you're Doing your job correctly, people
- 28:07Speaker 2: should become more dependent on Jesus and not more dependent
- 28:13Speaker 2: on us. Amen. We are not here to replace Jesus
- 28:18Speaker 2: in your life. We are here to point you to
- 28:23Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. Amen. Verse 28, the chaff and the wheat.
- 28:30Speaker 2: This is one of the strongest statements in this passage
- 28:34Speaker 2: right here. God says the prophet that has a dream,
- 28:39Speaker 2: let him tell a dream. Now, in other words, if
- 28:45Speaker 2: you have a dream, tell the truth about what the
- 28:49Speaker 2: dream really is. Don't automatically evaluate. I mean, uh, Elevate
- 28:59Speaker 2: your dream. That's the word I'm looking for to the
- 29:02Speaker 2: level of God's word. Right? That's when we get in
- 29:07Speaker 2: trouble when we think that we're equal to the word
- 29:11Speaker 2: of God. Now, the guy says, and he that has
- 29:17Speaker 2: my word, let him speak my word faithfully. There is
- 29:24Speaker 2: a responsibility right there. Amen.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Amen.
- 29:30Speaker 2: We can't creatively change the word. We can't water the
- 29:34Speaker 2: word down. We cannot add to it nor remove. the
- 29:40Speaker 2: parts that people don't like. Like I said, that could
- 29:44Speaker 2: have been what was working against me at the beginning
- 29:47Speaker 2: of the ministry. But speak God's word faithfully. And God asks,
- 29:56Speaker 2: what is the chaff to the wheat? Now, if you
- 30:01Speaker 2: were paying attention at the beginning of the podcast, I
- 30:06Speaker 2: mentioned that God would ask a question and I would
- 30:10Speaker 2: bring the question up a little later. This is the question.
- 30:13Speaker 2: What is the chaff to the wheat? Chaff is the
- 30:17Speaker 2: worthless husk separated from the grain. The wheat has the substance.
- 30:28Speaker 2: The chaff does not. God is making a distinct difference
- 30:36Speaker 2: between human ideas and his word. Not everything spiritual sounding
- 30:45Speaker 2: has spiritual substance, right? Think about it as we eat
- 30:51Speaker 2: our food today. Some food has nutrition and the substance
- 30:56Speaker 2: we need and some food lacks it. They just have
- 30:58Speaker 2: a lot of sugars and a lot of things. I mean,
- 31:02Speaker 2: I don't know. That's a whole topic for another podcast.
- 31:06Speaker 2: The type of food we eat, the type of food
- 31:08Speaker 2: that we have here in the United States have been
- 31:11Speaker 2: banned in other countries. But we need to know what
- 31:16Speaker 2: true spiritual substance really is and Some messages are just chaff, right?
- 31:25Speaker 2: They may sound impressive. They may sound even deep. They
- 31:32Speaker 2: may have thousands of viewers and views. They may make
- 31:38Speaker 2: people shout hallelujah. But the question is, where is the
- 31:45Speaker 2: word of God? That's what I always look for when
- 31:49Speaker 2: I visit a church. Or if I'm a part of
- 31:52Speaker 2: the ministry, like where is the word of God? Verse 29.
- 32:01Speaker 2: Now we're going to take a look at how the
- 32:06Speaker 2: word of God is a fire. God says, is not
- 32:13Speaker 2: my word like a fire? Come on now. It's like
- 32:17Speaker 2: a fiery flame. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. That's why this podcast stays
- 32:23Speaker 2: burning because we always engage with the word. Now, fire
- 32:30Speaker 2: can illuminate. Fire can expose. Fire can represent purity. It
- 32:39Speaker 2: can purify. And fire can consume. Now, God's word also
- 32:50Speaker 2: does something like this to us. It gets into places
- 32:56Speaker 2: we cannot hide. The word of God will expose our motives.
- 33:02Speaker 2: It will challenge our behavior. Now that's very different from
- 33:09Speaker 2: just speaking a motivational speech and just grabbing a scripture, right?
- 33:16Speaker 2: Verses going verse by verse, chapter by chapter. It challenges
- 33:20Speaker 2: our behavior. It burns away things that should not be
- 33:26Speaker 2: in our hearts. Things that should not be there get
- 33:28Speaker 2: burnt up when we have a healthy, systematic interaction with
- 33:37Speaker 2: God's word. And then God says, and like a hammer
- 33:42Speaker 2: that breaks the rock in pieces. Now, this is beautiful, beloved.
- 33:47Speaker 2: Think about a rock. something that is hard, something that
- 33:54Speaker 2: is resistant, something that seems impossible to break. Just think
- 34:01Speaker 2: about some of the rocks that we have in our city,
- 34:06Speaker 2: especially here in Las Vegas. We have a rock called
- 34:10Speaker 2: Caliche where it's almost impossible to dig through, drill through,
- 34:18Speaker 2: It's got to be broken up by something powerful. God's
- 34:24Speaker 2: word can break through even the hardest rock. That's why
- 34:31Speaker 2: when we see an unsafe family member or a loved
- 34:37Speaker 2: one and we think God could never save them, keep
- 34:41Speaker 2: praying for them because God's word can penetrate even their hearts.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Even the hardest heart just keeps speaking God's word in
- 34:55Speaker 2: the atmosphere. Now, sometimes the hardest thing in our lives
- 35:01Speaker 2: isn't the situation that is around us. It's the heart
- 35:07Speaker 2: that is inside of us. We are blind to it, right?
- 35:13Speaker 2: We can become stubborn. We can become prideful. That's why
- 35:18Speaker 2: we need the accountability partner. That's why we need someone
- 35:21Speaker 2: to say, you know what? I see this in your life,
- 35:24Speaker 2: in your heart. I see pride. I see stubbornness, especially teenagers, right?
- 35:30Speaker 2: We can convince ourselves that it's all right. It's okay
- 35:35Speaker 2: for me to have this hard heart. That's deception. That's
- 35:41Speaker 2: why we cannot put stock in our hearts. That's why
- 35:45Speaker 2: the Bible says, This book keeps telling us that the
- 35:48Speaker 2: people followed the evil dictates of their own hearts. We
- 35:54Speaker 2: got to renew our minds with the word. Then we
- 36:00Speaker 2: can get to the point where we refuse correction. But
- 36:04Speaker 2: God's word can break through all of that. That's why
- 36:07Speaker 2: we shouldn't run from scripture when it convicts us. Conviction
- 36:14Speaker 2: isn't always condemnation. Sometimes conviction is God showing us what
- 36:23Speaker 2: needs to change. Conviction is a loving gift from God. Amen.
- 36:31Speaker 2: To save us from destruction. Now, this passage, this passage,
- 36:42Speaker 2: If I can speak this passage that we're reading. It
- 36:47Speaker 2: will give us a simple test if we are willing
- 36:51Speaker 2: to take the test. Right. We have to be honest.
- 36:55Speaker 2: We have to have integrity. What are you building your
- 37:01Speaker 2: faith on? Is the question, right? Are you building your
- 37:07Speaker 2: faith on a dream that you had or somebody else's dream?
- 37:12Speaker 2: Are you building your faith on your feelings and emotions? Well,
- 37:16Speaker 2: I feel this is right. Are you looking at someone's personality?
- 37:23Speaker 2: Just because you like the preacher or the pastor, you
- 37:28Speaker 2: put your faith in that. Do you put your faith
- 37:32Speaker 2: in viral videos or popular preachers? Man can let you down.
- 37:41Speaker 2: Or your favorite artist? It could be your Christian hip
- 37:45Speaker 2: hop artist, right? Or even your own opinion. You've made
- 37:48Speaker 2: yourself your own God. Or are you building your faith
- 37:57Speaker 2: on the word of God itself? Now, experience can be powerful,
- 38:05Speaker 2: but experiences don't replace scriptures. Remember that, beloved. Let me
- 38:13Speaker 2: say that again. An experience can be a powerful experience.
- 38:18Speaker 2: A lot of people and a lot of these testimonies
- 38:21Speaker 2: that I watch are jaw dropping. But even the most
- 38:27Speaker 2: powerful testimony cannot replace scripture. Feelings change. People change. Trends change.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Culture changes. But God's word remains. God's word will stay
- 38:43Speaker 2: the same. And that's why we need to know the
- 38:47Speaker 2: Bible for ourselves. Don't even take what I say on
- 38:50Speaker 2: this podcast for face value. Be like the Bereans and
- 38:56Speaker 2: study to see if these things are so. Amen. I
- 39:04Speaker 2: welcome that. I welcome questions. I welcome challenge me on scripture.
- 39:09Speaker 2: It makes me dig deeper myself, and go further. Amen.
- 39:16Speaker 2: Let's take a break, y'all.
- 39:18Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 39:22Speaker 4: is the HizHop Radio Show.

- 40:04Speaker 3: Of my past, when he is getting departed.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Don't get me started.
- 40:08Speaker 5: Don't get me started.
- 40:10Speaker 2: I get to talk about God in his grave. They
- 40:12Speaker 2: was sleeping on it, not in your way.
- 40:13Speaker 3: They gonna probably want to run me away.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Metatrans, no, I'm not saying. Made it out to trick
- 40:18Speaker 2: his mama. We did it.
- 40:19Speaker 5: It's all God.
- 40:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I got to admit it. He paid the price
- 40:21Speaker 2: for the way I was living. I'm not guilty, so
- 40:23Speaker 2: I can't be convicted. It's Amazing Grace. It's Amazing Grace.
- 40:29Speaker 2: It's Amazing Grace.
- 40:45Speaker 3: .
- 40:48Speaker 5: .
- 40:53Speaker 3: Even when I'm low, I
- 40:56Speaker 3: bet it all on you.
- 40:58Speaker 4: My hope's on you.
- 41:00Speaker 2: My hope is on you. Amazing grace. Amazing grace. How
- 41:04Speaker 2: sweet the sound. How sweet the sound. How sweet the sound.
- 41:07Speaker 3: How sweet the sound.
- 41:08Speaker 5: How sweet the sound.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I feel in my lowest, I really admit it. God
- 41:11Speaker 3: the one that put me out the trenches. All this
- 41:12Speaker 3: time I was floating on your grace. I took all
- 41:14Speaker 3: the credit, I did it. I went through the trials,
- 41:16Speaker 3: they ain't kill me, they humble me. All the daughters,
- 41:18Speaker 3: they show me a better way. Only reason that you're
- 41:20Speaker 3: hearing me today. Glory to God, so let us pray.
- 41:22Speaker 5: Let us pray. This amazing grace, oh, amazing grace, oh,
- 41:28Speaker 5: amazing grace.
- 41:30Speaker 2: This amazing grace, oh, amazing grace, oh, amazing grace.
- 41:37Speaker 3: .
- 41:42Speaker 4: .
- 41:49Speaker 3: .
- 41:50Speaker 4: You are listening to the light
- 41:53Speaker 4: of Las Vegas. This is the His Hop Radio Show.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Yo, we are back from the music break. That's our
- 42:17Speaker 2: brother Derek Miner. breaking it down with amazing grace. I
- 42:21Speaker 2: don't know about you, but I need God's grace on
- 42:25Speaker 2: a daily basis. I want to give a huge shout
- 42:29Speaker 2: out to those in the live chat. Hey, today is
- 42:35Speaker 2: my post birthday. I want to say thank you for
- 42:37Speaker 2: everyone that has shown me love on yesterday. All our
- 42:43Speaker 2: social media, you know how they do. They like to
- 42:47Speaker 2: post happy birthday and show you some love. So I
- 42:51Speaker 2: appreciate all the interaction. And my birthday gift was for
- 42:56Speaker 2: those to log on to the podcast. Say what's up
- 43:00Speaker 2: to the live chats. And also appreciate Zone 3 for
- 43:04Speaker 2: giving me some birthday love in the live chat on yesterday.
- 43:08Speaker 2: Appreciate you. And you got the trivia question correct. As always,
- 43:14Speaker 2: my brother, we appreciate your faithfulness. We know that. We'll
- 43:19Speaker 2: see you in the live chat tonight. A little later
- 43:21Speaker 2: in the replay, should I say. But amen. We appreciate
- 43:28Speaker 2: all our supporters. All those who interact. Please like, subscribe, share.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Go to the community. Post some pictures. Post your favorite scripture. Also,
- 43:41Speaker 2: we like to do games. You know what I'm saying?
- 43:43Speaker 2: We do have prizes that we can give away. You
- 43:47Speaker 2: can win some cash here on the network. You just
- 43:52Speaker 2: got to interact. Speaking of interaction, it's time for the
- 43:57Speaker 2: accountability partner segment right now. You know how we do.
- 44:01Speaker 2: We give you a daily challenge. Call, text, or email
- 44:05Speaker 2: your accountability partner and let this be your topic. Ask
- 44:10Speaker 2: them What is the one area where I need to
- 44:14Speaker 2: allow God's word to correct me instead of simply looking
- 44:19Speaker 2: for confirmation of what I already believe? Amen. That's pretty long.
- 44:25Speaker 2: Let me say that again. This is powerful. What is
- 44:29Speaker 2: one area where I need to allow God's word to
- 44:33Speaker 2: correct me instead of simply looking for confirmation of what
- 44:38Speaker 2: I already believe? leave. That questionnaire could save somebody's bacon, right?
- 44:46Speaker 2: Because if we stubbornly hold on to our own opinion
- 44:51Speaker 2: over God's word, that could lead us to destruction. Allow
- 44:59Speaker 2: God's word to shape us and to mold us. Amen. Now,
- 45:07Speaker 2: the only way that this works is if we have integrity.
- 45:10Speaker 2: We got to be honest with ourselves. And you can also,
- 45:13Speaker 2: on the app, go through some tough questions. These are
- 45:18Speaker 2: like self-confrontation type questions. Go to the top left menu.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Hit on podcasts. Pick the His Hot Radio podcast. Scroll
- 45:28Speaker 2: down until you see the link accountability partner. That is
- 45:32Speaker 2: there to help us along the way, man. Also, I
- 45:39Speaker 2: want to let you know that His High Radio is
- 45:40Speaker 2: a monitored and a reporting radio station. We do report
- 45:46Speaker 2: to the charts in the app itself. It has a
- 45:48Speaker 2: voting system, a charting system. You can become number one.
- 45:53Speaker 2: We want to be the new Christian tuning app. You
- 45:58Speaker 2: can be number one on the His High Radio app.
- 46:00Speaker 2: Just like your song. Every time you hear it played,
- 46:04Speaker 2: you can go on the app and there's a thumbs
- 46:06Speaker 2: up next to it. Similar to the thumbs up you
- 46:08Speaker 2: see on Facebook. And that gets you your ranking on
- 46:15Speaker 2: the app. You can also on all the platforms, the
- 46:21Speaker 2: radio station, our network, our website and all that. We
- 46:25Speaker 2: have promo packages available for you on those. So if
- 46:29Speaker 2: you want to advertise on our platform, it won't break
- 46:32Speaker 2: the bank. And that'll help you get the exposure there.
- 46:37Speaker 2: you are looking for all right now those of us
- 46:42Speaker 2: in the live chat let's head over to the community
- 46:47Speaker 2: where we have our trivia challenge shout out to our
- 46:52Speaker 2: ranking challenge or ranking i mean not ranking our reigning
- 46:57Speaker 2: champion don't get my lips to work here zone three Now,
- 47:03Speaker 2: the way this works is you got to be the
- 47:05Speaker 2: first person to post the answer. And the answer has
- 47:10Speaker 2: to be correct. And you can be named trivia champion
- 47:17Speaker 2: for today. We'll give you a shout out on the
- 47:20Speaker 2: next podcast, the episode after this. We'll give you a
- 47:25Speaker 2: shout out, your kudos and we. Like I said, we
- 47:28Speaker 2: do have gifts and things like that that we can
- 47:31Speaker 2: give away. Zone 3 has gotten a gift, a board
- 47:34Speaker 2: game from us. As a matter of fact, let us know, Zone,
- 47:37Speaker 2: in the community, what do you think of the board
- 47:39Speaker 2: game that you won by doing the trivia challenge on
- 47:45Speaker 2: the His Hot Radio platform? I don't know. I'm just
- 47:50Speaker 2: curious about it. I don't know. Have you played it yet?
- 47:53Speaker 2: I know I haven't played it yet, but I would
- 47:55Speaker 2: like to know if this is a good game that
- 47:57Speaker 2: we're giving away to people. All right. So the question
- 48:03Speaker 2: is in Jeremiah chapter 23, what two things does God
- 48:11Speaker 2: compare his word to? Let me ask that again. In
- 48:16Speaker 2: Jeremiah chapter 23, what good two things Does God compare
- 48:24Speaker 2: his word to?
- 48:25Speaker 3: Amen.
- 48:28Speaker 2: The first to answer that becomes the trivia champion. Now
- 48:34Speaker 2: it's time for our community shout out. This is where
- 48:37Speaker 2: we give updates, new features on the app or websites
- 48:43Speaker 2: or events coming up. Or if you got something going,
- 48:46Speaker 2: you want us to announce it. We would love to
- 48:49Speaker 2: share it with our community. We are a community radio
- 48:52Speaker 2: station here in Las Vegas. So we love to get involved.
- 48:59Speaker 2: So the question is, I mean, not the question. The
- 49:04Speaker 2: updates are check out all the features on the app. Remember,
- 49:11Speaker 2: there's a artist. You can request a feature. It's right
- 49:19Speaker 2: there on the app. You can pick an artist that
- 49:22Speaker 2: you want to feature on your song or you can
- 49:26Speaker 2: offer your services as a feature. You can buy and sell.
- 49:30Speaker 2: There's another section where you can sell your merch on
- 49:34Speaker 2: our app. Yes, we make that available to you. As
- 49:39Speaker 2: far as events, we have an event coming up later
- 49:42Speaker 2: in October. We're partnering with the Metro Police Department. And yes,
- 49:49Speaker 2: I will be DJing. We'll be bringing out our photo booth.
- 49:54Speaker 2: And so we'll give you more insight and more information
- 49:57Speaker 2: on that as we get closer to that event. Make
- 50:01Speaker 2: sure you check out our calendar on our website, hishop.com. nation.com
- 50:06Speaker 2: there is a section on the app for events just
- 50:10Speaker 2: go to the top left menu and look for events
- 50:14Speaker 2: and you can see more activity on the app as
- 50:18Speaker 2: well so I believe that's it for events right now
- 50:25Speaker 2: also check out our monthly raffle we do a raffle
- 50:33Speaker 2: every month Right now we have a football challenge going.
- 50:37Speaker 2: If you like football and you follow, make sure you
- 50:40Speaker 2: log on and check that out. So I do have
- 50:45Speaker 2: to remember to remind everybody about our contest. We have
- 50:49Speaker 2: a whole contest tab on the website. So we invite
- 50:54Speaker 2: you to go over there and check out that information
- 50:58Speaker 2: as well. And His Hop Nation Inc. is a 501c3,
- 51:11Speaker 2: a non-profit organization. We opened up a Christian club, a 5,000
- 51:16Speaker 2: square foot warehouse in 2012. So when you hear me
- 51:20Speaker 2: referring to my ministry and when it started and things
- 51:24Speaker 2: like that, I'm referring to the first Christian club in
- 51:28Speaker 2: Las Vegas and some of the experiences and some of
- 51:32Speaker 2: the things I've learned. And so we became a nonprofit
- 51:38Speaker 2: organization so that we can get grants and support from
- 51:42Speaker 2: our community so that we can relaunch and reopen and
- 51:45Speaker 2: we can actually sustain a new club, a new venue.
- 51:51Speaker 2: It is for the community to lift up the name
- 51:56Speaker 2: of Jesus. So if you'd like to support, if you
- 52:01Speaker 2: want to become a monthly donor, if you'd like to
- 52:05Speaker 2: Become a sponsor. If you would just like to plainly give,
- 52:11Speaker 2: the good news is that you can write it off
- 52:14Speaker 2: on your taxes. It's all tax deductible. Just head on
- 52:18Speaker 2: over to our website, HisHotNation.com or you can find the
- 52:25Speaker 2: donation button on our app, His Hot Radio, on all platforms. Amen. Amen.
- 52:34Speaker 2: That said, let's close it out for today. Now, Jeremiah
- 52:41Speaker 2: 23 verses 25 and 29. It gives us a powerful
- 52:49Speaker 2: reminder today. Not every dream is a revelation and not
- 52:55Speaker 2: every voice is God's voice. And not every message is
- 53:03Speaker 2: the truth. But God's word is different. It is wheat,
- 53:12Speaker 2: not the chaff. It is the substance that our soul needs. Amen.
- 53:18Speaker 2: God's word is a fire. It's like a hammer that
- 53:23Speaker 2: breaks the rock in pieces. So do not build your
- 53:29Speaker 2: faith on somebody else's experience. Do not build it on
- 53:34Speaker 2: somebody else's personality. Do not build it on what is
- 53:40Speaker 2: trending for today. Build it on the word of God
- 53:45Speaker 2: and the word of God alone. This is the heart
- 53:52Speaker 2: of the His Heart Radio podcast. Verse by verse. Our
- 53:57Speaker 2: Bible study. Make sure you meet us every day at
- 54:02Speaker 2: 11 o'clock Pacific Standard Time, 11 a.m. in the chat
- 54:08Speaker 2: and also in the community on the website, on the
- 54:11Speaker 2: radio station so that you can get that encouragement that
- 54:15Speaker 2: you need from the word of God so that we
- 54:19Speaker 2: can stand in the Lord's counsel so that we will
- 54:22Speaker 2: not be taken away with the rest of the world
- 54:27Speaker 2: that will soon be judged. But we will stay on
- 54:31Speaker 2: that path that leads to life. I'm your brother, Mr.
- 54:35Speaker 2: His Hop. This is His Hop Nation, His Hop Radio.
- 54:40Speaker 2: And we're signing off. So don't forget, it's not about us.
- 54:47Speaker 2: It's all about the Christ in us. God bless y'all.
- 55:03Speaker 4: You are listening to The Light of Las Vegas. This
- 55:07Speaker 4: is the HizHop Radio Show.
