- 0:00Speaker 1: Then probably.
- 0:01Speaker 2: Are you sure we should get matching tattoos on our
- 0:04Speaker 2: first date? Sure. We'll probably stay together.
- 0:08Speaker 3: Probably?
- 0:08Speaker 4: It's been 23 minutes since I ate.
- 0:13Speaker 5: I can probably swim.
- 0:14Speaker 6: Uh, you should wait 30 minutes.
- 0:17Speaker 5: Okay, don't tell me what to do.
- 0:18Speaker 7: Cannonball!
- 0:21Speaker 5: Cramp!
- 0:22Speaker 2: Oh, I have a cramp.
- 0:26Speaker 5: I can probably hit the green from here. Probably..
- 0:36Speaker 1: Ready to go?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Hey, are you sure you're okay to drive?
- 0:39Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm pretty sober.
- 0:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm probably okay.
- 0:44Speaker 9: Probably okay isn't okay, especially when it comes to drinking
- 0:48Speaker 9: and driving. If you're drinking, call a cab, a car,
- 0:51Speaker 9: or a friend. Buzzed driving is drunk driving. A message
- 0:55Speaker 9: brought to you by NHTSA and the Ad Council.
- 0:57Speaker 10: One voice speaks when government turns its back on the truth.
- 1:01Speaker 8: Blinded, not caring what the American people think.
- 1:04Speaker 10: One voice speaks when leaders need to face the music.
- 1:09Speaker 5: The most insane spin I've ever heard. The economy's not improving.
- 1:12Speaker 5: Sean Hannity.
- 1:13Speaker 11: I think I'm doing the right thing being a voice
- 1:15Speaker 11: of reason.
- 1:16Speaker 5: The voice that's turning things around. I like Blake Shelton
- 1:19Speaker 5: a lot.
- 1:20Speaker 12: Really?
- 1:21Speaker 5: Blake Shelton? Choose Team Hannity. Weeknights at 7 on 570 WKVN.
- 1:26Speaker 5: You got me.
- 1:28Speaker 2: The galaxy is safe once again.
- 1:32Speaker 13: Sometimes kids play with pretend guns. It's up to us
- 1:35Speaker 13: to make sure they don't play with real ones. Keep

- 1:40Speaker 13: to you by N Family Fire, Brady and the Ad Council.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Hey, it's Ron Ferb.
- 1:45Speaker 14: I'm saying what everyone else won't after Guardians Baseball on
- 1:48Speaker 14: 570 WKVN.
- 1:58Speaker 5: And Guardians on the comeback trail now for the first
- 2:00Speaker 5: time today, trailing 5-4. Fifth inning, Chase Burns still out
- 2:05Speaker 5: there for the Reds, and he fires a fastball up
- 2:07Speaker 5: and away to Stephen Kwan for ball one. Burns at
- 2:15Speaker 5: 75 pitches. He has been economical the last two innings.
- 2:20Speaker 5: Here's the 1-0 on the outside corner for a strike.
- 2:24Speaker 13: 1-1.
- 2:24Speaker 5: And again, his... His pitch count a little more stringent
- 2:32Speaker 5: because of where he is innings-wise. The 1-1. Breaking ball
- 2:36Speaker 5: on the outside corner for a strike. And this is
- 2:40Speaker 5: first full Major League season. Had a rough first inning,
- 2:46Speaker 5: but he's been impressive since. Here's the 1-2. Waved at
- 2:52Speaker 5: and missed strike three. Ball dropped and picked up by Stephenson,
- 2:55Speaker 5: the catcher, and he throws on to first to complete
- 2:58Speaker 5: the strikeout. Four strikeouts for Burns. One away in the
- 3:04Speaker 5: top half of the fifth inning. Now through August the 6th,
- 3:08Speaker 5: you could win a Guardians Edition F-150 Raptor truck courtesy
- 3:12Speaker 5: of your Northeast Ohio Ford dealers. Visit guardiansf150sweeps. com to enter.
- 3:19Speaker 5: Here's the pitch to Jose Ramirez, and he lines it
- 3:21Speaker 5: down the right field side, and it's dropping for a
- 3:24Speaker 5: base hit. Cut off in the corner by Bledet, and
- 3:27Speaker 5: it'll hold Ramirez to a long single. Two line drives
- 3:34Speaker 5: to right for base hits for Jose Ramirez, who's starting
- 3:37Speaker 5: to look a little bit more like Jose now as
- 3:39Speaker 5: he gets further into his season here after the stint
- 3:43Speaker 5: on the injured list. Chase DeLauder will bat. 0 for 2.
- 3:50Speaker 5: Guardians down by a run. Here's the pitch to DeLauder.
- 3:59Speaker 5: On the move is Ramirez, and he'll steal the bag
- 4:02Speaker 5: without a throw. Number 25 for Jose Ramirez. So that
- 4:14Speaker 5: tying run now in scoring position with one out. Here's
- 4:23Speaker 5: the 1-0. He's taking off for third. The throwdown is
- 4:28Speaker 5: not in time. Safe at third base is Ramirez. He's
- 4:35Speaker 5: single-handedly trying to energize this ball club. This ball club
- 4:39Speaker 5: has been flat at times since the All-Star break. And
- 4:46Speaker 5: he knows right now this club needs something good to
- 4:50Speaker 5: happen after blowing a 4-0 lead Who else but Jose
- 4:54Speaker 5: Ramirez says, all right, follow me. So the infield in
- 4:59Speaker 5: now for the Reds. Here comes the pitch to DeLauder.
- 5:03Speaker 5: It's down low for a ball, and it counts now 2-1.
- 5:09Speaker 5: They've struggled with just moving runners along in certain spots,
- 5:12Speaker 5: so with one out, get that runner to third. He
- 5:16Speaker 5: does it by himself. And he's down there with less
- 5:19Speaker 5: than two down. Now we'll see if DeLauder can get
- 5:21Speaker 5: him in. This has really been a struggle point. Here's
- 5:24Speaker 5: the 2-1. Swung on, and it's driven to left. This
- 5:26Speaker 5: will do it. Getting back and making the catch is Friedel. Tagging,
- 5:30Speaker 5: heading for home is Ramirez. He scores, and we are
- 5:34Speaker 5: tied at five. How about that? That's part of what
- 5:42Speaker 5: the offense has been missing, that style of play from Ramirez.
- 5:47Speaker 5: And De Lauder with RBI number 51 got the job
- 5:50Speaker 5: done on the sack fly. Here's Travis Bazzana. A couple
- 5:56Speaker 5: of walks today and two trips. Here's the pitch from Burns.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Upstairs for a ball and a check swing for Bazzana.
- 6:14Speaker 5: All Cleveland needs... 15 more Jose Ramirez's and they'll be
- 6:19Speaker 5: right where they want to be. Scouts on the case
- 6:22Speaker 5: in the Dominican Republic. Here's the 1-0. Swung on, bounced
- 6:27Speaker 5: foul outside of first. I put my arm around him
- 6:31Speaker 5: last night. I wanted to ask him something real quietly
- 6:34Speaker 5: in the clubhouse. And you put your arm around him.
- 6:40Speaker 5: It is like putting your arm on a steel beam.
- 6:48Speaker 5: He is so strong across his back muscles. Here's the 1-1.
- 6:55Speaker 5: In the dirt.
- 6:56Speaker 15: 2-1.
- 6:58Speaker 5: You look at him and you go, you know, he's
- 7:00Speaker 5: not very big, obviously. We know all of that. But
- 7:04Speaker 5: his strength is way beyond what most people can envision.
- 7:11Speaker 5: The 2-1. Swing and a miss.
- 7:13Speaker 16: 2-2.
- 7:13Speaker 5: Probably... Helps you understand how he's able to do what
- 7:20Speaker 5: he has done throughout his career at that size. Here's
- 7:25Speaker 5: the 2-2. Swung on a bouncer up the middle right
- 7:29Speaker 5: behind the second base back, though, is De La Cruz.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Fields throws on the first for the out. Side retired,
- 7:35Speaker 5: but the Guardians tie it thanks to Jose Ramirez and
- 7:38Speaker 5: Chase De Lauder. We head to the bottom of the fifth.
- 7:40Speaker 5: Tied at five in Cincinnati.
- 7:44Speaker 17: Recently, our company softball team lost the big game by
- 7:47Speaker 17: one run. Then Dale tried to console us with the quote,
- 7:50Speaker 17: winning isn't everything. Dale's a loser. I play to win,
- 7:54Speaker 17: like early payoff from Bet365. If my team goes up big,
- 7:58Speaker 17: I get paid out instantly, even if they blow the
- 8:00Speaker 17: lead later.

- 9:31Speaker 14: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and my show is all about
- 9:32Speaker 14: the Valley after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 9:35Speaker 5: New pitcher on for the Guardians. It's the right-hander, Franco Aliman.
- 9:49Speaker 5: Third pitcher today for Cleveland as we open play in
- 9:52Speaker 5: the bottom of the fifth inning. Tie game at five. A.U.
- 9:55Speaker 5: Hainio Suarez, the batter. Aliman delivers. and a miss. Strike one.
- 10:01Speaker 5: Haleman with that mid to upper 90s fastball. Good slider.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Young man began his year in the minor leagues. Made
- 10:09Speaker 5: his major league debut fairly early on and then was
- 10:13Speaker 5: sent back and now has returned and filled a useful
- 10:17Speaker 5: role in that bullpen. Here's the 0-1. Fastball on the
- 10:22Speaker 5: outside corner for a strike, and quickly it's 0-2. Alamon
- 10:27Speaker 5: has that delivery where he's working from the stretch at
- 10:30Speaker 5: all times, but he'll turn his back to the hitter
- 10:34Speaker 5: as he begins his motion. Here's the 0-2. Swing and
- 10:40Speaker 5: a miss. He strikes him out on three straight. And
- 10:43Speaker 5: he's got a, for those older fans out there, a
- 10:47Speaker 5: little of the Louis Tion spin and Sometimes a little
- 10:51Speaker 5: hesitation before he lets it go. And it explodes out
- 10:55Speaker 5: of his hand. That fastball again. Mid to upper 90s consistent.
- 11:02Speaker 5: Now Nathaniel Lowe doubled his last time up. He's one
- 11:05Speaker 5: for two and he takes a pitch low and in
- 11:07Speaker 5: for a ball. It's a fee-free homestand when the Guardians
- 11:11Speaker 5: take on the Diamondbacks and Mets starting Friday night. Tickets
- 11:14Speaker 5: for any of those six games. You pay zero ticketing fees.
- 11:18Speaker 5: Next pitch is swung on and fouled back. That offer
- 11:21Speaker 5: runs through midnight tomorrow. So get your tickets now at CLEGuardians.com.
- 11:27Speaker 5: Fee free for the upcoming National League homestand. The Diamondbacks
- 11:31Speaker 5: and the Mets coming to town. Here comes the 1-1 pitch.
- 11:38Speaker 5: Outside and high.
- 11:39Speaker 7: 2-1.
- 11:47Speaker 5: Guardians and Reds tied at 5. Fifth inning on a sunny,
- 11:52Speaker 5: hot summer afternoon. The pitch swung on. Foul back. Two
- 11:57Speaker 5: and two the count now on low. Not a whole
- 12:01Speaker 5: lot of folks here. This was the make-up game from
- 12:03Speaker 5: last night's rain out. Probably have a good crowd tonight.
- 12:06Speaker 5: As there are a lot of Cleveland fans down here.
- 12:12Speaker 5: Not as many as you'd see if these games were
- 12:15Speaker 5: on a weekend, but still a good amount. Still summer
- 12:18Speaker 5: vacation time. Here comes the 2-2 pitch. Swing and a miss.
- 12:25Speaker 5: Strike three. Good fastball from Franco Aleman. He has struck
- 12:30Speaker 5: out the first two batters he's faced. Two up, two down.
- 12:36Speaker 5: The starter, Slade Ciccone, went three and two-thirds. He allowed
- 12:40Speaker 5: four runs on seven hits. Walked one, struck out two.
- 12:44Speaker 5: And Tim Herron, a third of an inning, he allowed
- 12:46Speaker 5: two hits and a run. Now Aleman facing Tyler Stevenson.
- 12:51Speaker 5: He's two for two with an RBI double his last
- 12:54Speaker 5: time up. The pitch to him is down low for
- 12:57Speaker 5: a ball. Dollar Bank is a proud banking partner of
- 13:00Speaker 5: the Guardians. They have 28 locations across northeast Ohio, and
- 13:04Speaker 5: they're ready to provide solutions to help get you there.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Here's the 1-0, and that's in there for a strike.
- 13:12Speaker 5: 1-1 the count. Alamans come on here in the fifth,
- 13:16Speaker 5: pounding the strike zone. Here comes his 1-1 pitch. On
- 13:27Speaker 5: the inside corner for a strike. 1-2 the count. Stevenson,
- 13:32Speaker 5: I think he thought about challenging but then thought better
- 13:37Speaker 5: of it. The Reds still have both of their challenges remaining.
- 13:40Speaker 5: 1-2 the count. Aleman ready and delivers. Swung on, foul
- 13:52Speaker 5: tip back to the screen. And Bridge Gas, Ohio would
- 13:55Speaker 5: like to remind you, whether you're an individual or a contractor,
- 13:58Speaker 5: state law requires that you call 8-1-1 before you dig
- 14:02Speaker 5: to have those underground utilities marked. Now the 1-2 pitch.
- 14:14Speaker 5: Swing and a missed strike three. Palamon strikes out the
- 14:18Speaker 5: side and will head to the sixth. Tied at five
- 14:21Speaker 5: in Cincinnati.
- 14:22Speaker 19: You use tearless baby shampoo because it's gentle on your

- 14:29Speaker 19: sharp edges. You always test the bath water to make
- 14:32Speaker 19: sure it's not too hot. You taught her what to

- 14:40Speaker 2: You put on his.
- 14:41Speaker 19: Sunscreen even when he's embarrassed his friends will see. You

- 14:53Speaker 19: Is the seat too big or too small? How do
- 14:56Speaker 19: you know when it's time to move your child into

- 15:18Speaker 20: A message from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and
- 15:21Speaker 20: the Ad Council.
- 15:21Speaker 21: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 15:24Speaker 21: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 15:28Speaker 21: It's a powerful opioid, often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 15:31Speaker 21: with illicit drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 15:34Speaker 21: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 15:38Speaker 21: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 15:41Speaker 21: This isn't an ad to scare you, but it is
- 15:43Speaker 21: an ad to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 15:46Speaker 21: Go to realdealonfentanyl.com. This message is brought to you by
- 15:50Speaker 21: the Ad Council.
- 15:51Speaker 5: When leaders need to face the music. The most insane
- 15:55Speaker 5: spin I've ever heard. The economy's not improving. Sean Hannity.
- 15:58Speaker 22: I think I'm doing the right thing being a voice
- 16:00Speaker 22: of reason.
- 16:01Speaker 8: The voice that's turning things around.
- 16:03Speaker 5: Weeknights at 7 on 570 WKVN.
- 16:08Speaker 14: It's Ron Ferb, and I've got opinions you'll want to hear.
- 16:11Speaker 14: After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 16:24Speaker 5: Well, crazy day. When you think of a day-night doubleheader,
- 16:28Speaker 5: you know darn well we're not going to have normalcy.
- 16:32Speaker 5: Cleveland took a 4-0 lead in the first inning, and
- 16:35Speaker 5: a Kyle Manzardo grand slam to right Cincinnati eventually took
- 16:41Speaker 5: a 5-4 lead. Now we're tied at 5-6th inning. Left-hander
- 16:47Speaker 5: Brian Burke delivers to Brian Rocchio. I think I said
- 16:51Speaker 5: Brian Burke. It's Brock Burke. And it is a called strike.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Rocchio batting right-handed for the first time. The lefties pitch
- 17:02Speaker 5: outside a ball one-on-one. Hi again, everybody. Tom Hamilton back
- 17:07Speaker 5: with you, along with Jim Rosenhaus. Dave Abbott sleeping with
- 17:11Speaker 5: us here in the booth. Brian Motze at the command center.
- 17:16Speaker 5: Now the 1-1, waved at. 1-2 the count. Now we
- 17:21Speaker 5: love Dave. Does a great job. He's one of the
- 17:25Speaker 5: great engineers in this country. Does a lot of work
- 17:27Speaker 5: for ESPN, the Bengals, you name it. The 1-2. Down low, 2-2.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Chase Burns, first time Cleveland saw him, and you've got
- 17:38Speaker 5: to give the kid credit, gave up the grand slam
- 17:41Speaker 5: in the first, but he only gave up one run
- 17:44Speaker 5: the rest of the way. Now the left-hander, Burke. The pitch,
- 17:49Speaker 5: and Rocchio drives one up the alley in right center.
- 17:52Speaker 5: It's a base hit. Cut off in the gap by Bledet,
- 17:56Speaker 5: and the right fielder holds Rocchio to a long single
- 17:59Speaker 5: the other way to right center. So first off, let's
- 18:03Speaker 5: give you what Chase Burns did. Five innings, 89 pitches.
- 18:08Speaker 5: He gave up five runs. Four were unearned. He allowed
- 18:15Speaker 5: five hits in the game. He struck out four. He
- 18:19Speaker 5: walked two. Now the left-hander facing Kyle Manzardo, and he
- 18:27Speaker 5: taps a double play ball to second. Arroyo to second, one,
- 18:30Speaker 5: De La Cruz throws it over, double play, 4-6-3. So
- 18:41Speaker 5: Kyle Manzardo, a grand slam to right in the first,
- 18:44Speaker 5: Cleveland's other run, came when Jose Ramirez manufactured the game-tying
- 18:49Speaker 5: run in the fifth. He's singled, stole second, stole third,
- 18:53Speaker 5: scored on a chase to Laudersack Fly. Here's Angel Martinez,
- 18:57Speaker 5: 0 for his last 15. He'll bat right-handed. He'll take
- 19:02Speaker 5: inside a ball. Meanwhile, the Reds got to Slade Ciccone
- 19:07Speaker 5: for four runs in the three and two-thirds he worked.
- 19:10Speaker 5: And the other run off Tim Herron. Now the 1-0 pitch.
- 19:17Speaker 5: And it's banged on the ground to first, handled by Stewart.
- 19:21Speaker 5: And Cleveland retired in the sixth as it's an unassisted
- 19:26Speaker 5: play at first by Sal Stewart. And the game stays
- 19:29Speaker 5: tied at five in the middle of the sixth. Hey,
- 19:34Speaker 5: sports fans.
- 19:35Speaker 16: There's no better feeling than when you're watching your team dominate.
- 19:38Speaker 16: But remember, when the offseason comes, you can still channel

- 20:55Speaker 8: of time.
- 20:56Speaker 2: And now you're way behind?
- 20:57Speaker 8: Yes, and I have no idea how I'll get it
- 20:59Speaker 8: all done on time and in my budget.
- 21:01Speaker 25: Well, luckily, IKEA has everything you need to make it
- 21:03Speaker 25: your space on your budget. And with everything ready to
- 21:05Speaker 25: take away from our stores with Click and Collect, it's
- 21:08Speaker 25: easier than ever.
- 21:09Speaker 8: That's convenient.
- 21:10Speaker 26: Exactly.
- 21:11Speaker 6: Get IKEA whenever, wherever, however at IKEA.us. IKEA, dream the possibilities.
- 21:17Speaker 5: Hey, it's Ron Furb.
- 21:18Speaker 14: I'm not holding back, ever, after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 21:27Speaker 5: Well, Franco Aleman's going to get a second inning. Struck
- 21:31Speaker 5: out the side in the fifth. The native of Cuba
- 21:34Speaker 5: takes on the bottom third of the Reds' order.
- 21:36Speaker 25: 5-5.
- 21:37Speaker 5: We're in the fifth. Aleman pumps one in there, a strike.
- 21:42Speaker 5: We've told you the story before, but you never know.
- 21:45Speaker 5: Somebody might be listening for the first time. Alamon, back
- 21:52Speaker 5: partially turned toward the hitter. He delivers, and it's in there.
- 21:57Speaker 5: But his dad was a dentist when they were living
- 22:01Speaker 5: in Cuba. And Cuba had a deal with Venezuela in
- 22:07Speaker 5: that they would trade doctors to Venezuela for oil from
- 22:12Speaker 5: the Venezuelans. Here's the set. Here's the 0-2. A swing
- 22:20Speaker 5: and a foul. They get a piece of the home
- 22:22Speaker 5: plate up, Alfonso Marquez. The deal for Franco's dad, the dentist,
- 22:28Speaker 5: was that if he went to Venezuela for three to
- 22:31Speaker 5: four years, then he would be allowed to legally defect
- 22:34Speaker 5: to the United States. Cuba would not stand in his way.
- 22:39Speaker 5: Now the 0-2 pitch. Up and in, and he got
- 22:42Speaker 5: him to swing and miss. Four strikeouts for Alamont. So
- 22:46Speaker 5: Franco's dad went to Venezuela for three to four years
- 22:52Speaker 5: and then was able to get to Tampa. And then
- 22:55Speaker 5: the rest of the family joined him. Franco was 11
- 23:01Speaker 5: when he was able to get out of Cuba and
- 23:05Speaker 5: move to Tampa. Here's Edwin Arroyo, one for two, an
- 23:09Speaker 5: RBI single. He'll bat left-handed. He cuts and foul tips it,
- 23:13Speaker 5: strike one. Franco said, obviously coming out of Cuba, he
- 23:19Speaker 5: spoke Spanish. But he said, I learned English by watching
- 23:25Speaker 5: the Disney Channel and by watching cartoons. And he has
- 23:30Speaker 5: great command of the English language now. The pitch, and
- 23:34Speaker 5: it was inside and challenged by Patrick Bailey. Bailey didn't
- 23:39Speaker 5: catch the ball. Went to the backstop. That's why he
- 23:42Speaker 5: didn't get the ball. Strike call, but it looked like
- 23:44Speaker 5: a strike. Let's see on the replay. Challenge. It's a strike.
- 23:52Speaker 5: Wasn't even borderline. But when you don't catch the pitch,
- 23:55Speaker 5: kind of hard to get the call from the ump.
- 23:58Speaker 5: So the call is overturned. And the count 0-2 on Arroyo.
- 24:01Speaker 5: 5-5 game. Reds batting. Bottom of the sixth. One out,
- 24:05Speaker 5: nobody on. Alamon's ready. Here it comes. Arroyo. It takes
- 24:13Speaker 5: a high heater, one and two. Slade Ciccone's rough month
- 24:20Speaker 5: of July continued today, giving up four runs and three
- 24:24Speaker 5: and two-thirds. The pitch hit on a line but fouled
- 24:28Speaker 5: outside of first. Boy, Slade Ciccone's had an ERA this
- 24:33Speaker 5: month of about eight. And that came off a spectacular
- 24:39Speaker 5: month of June. In which Slade Ciccone's earned run average
- 24:43Speaker 5: in June was 188. Now the pitch. And it's strike
- 24:49Speaker 5: three called on the inside corner. Challenged by Edwin Arroyo.
- 24:57Speaker 5: He was kind of timid with his tap of the helmet.
- 24:59Speaker 5: Let's see. It's strike three called. That's a tough at bat.
- 25:08Speaker 5: Two challenges in the at-bat, and you're on the losing
- 25:10Speaker 5: end both times. So Alamon has struck out all five
- 25:15Speaker 5: he has faced. He has that kind of stuff. Upper
- 25:20Speaker 5: 90s fastball slider. Two down, nobody on. 5-5, sixth inning.
- 25:25Speaker 5: Here's T.J. Friedel, 0-2. Alamon, the big 6'7 right-hander, lets
- 25:31Speaker 5: it fly, and he painted the outside corner with a slider.
- 25:34Speaker 5: Strike one. In on the grass, the third, Jose Ramirez,
- 25:41Speaker 5: because Friedel runs well. Friedel now 0-4-13. Alleman's pitch, and
- 25:49Speaker 5: it's hit in the air, but not deep to left.
- 25:52Speaker 5: Rocchio out. Kwon in. Kwon, the left fielder, makes the catch.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Boy Franco Alamon has saved game one for Cleveland. At
- 26:01Speaker 5: least he has put the Reds at bay for a
- 26:04Speaker 5: couple of innings. 5-5 heading to the seventh on the
- 26:08Speaker 5: Cleveland Clinic Radio Network. Sarcoma.
- 26:12Speaker 27: Odds are you've never heard that word before. But for
- 26:14Speaker 27: the 40 people diagnosed with sarcoma every day, it is
- 26:17Speaker 27: a life-changing word. Life-changing and devastating because... Sarcoma is cancer.
- 26:24Speaker 27: Sarcoma is a cancer of bone and soft tissue more
- 26:26Speaker 27: prevalent in children than in adults. More than 6,000 people
- 26:30Speaker 27: lose their lives to sarcoma each year. Treatment options for
- 26:33Speaker 27: sarcoma are limited and new therapies are desperately needed. More
- 26:37Speaker 27: research and increased awareness is necessary to find a cure
- 26:41Speaker 27: for a cancer that you probably didn't even know existed
- 26:43Speaker 27: until now. Through awareness, advocacy, and research, The Sarcoma Foundation
- 26:49Speaker 27: of America is determined to help those affected by this
- 26:51Speaker 27: forgotten cancer, to bring hope to the children and adults
- 26:55Speaker 27: whose lives are forever changed by a word they had
- 26:57Speaker 27: never heard before. Please help us in the fight to
- 27:00Speaker 27: find the cure for sarcoma. For more information on sarcoma

- 27:10Speaker 28: Hey, let me ask you something. Would you seat your
- 27:13Speaker 28: three-year-old child on a windowsill? Would you seat them beside
- 27:16Speaker 28: a lit fireplace or by the deep end of a pool?
- 27:19Speaker 28: One last question. Would you seat your child in a
- 27:22Speaker 28: car seat that's not correct for them? Car crashes are
- 27:26Speaker 28: a leading killer of children ages 1 to 13. Secure
- 27:29Speaker 28: their future. Seat them in the correct car seat. For
- 27:32Speaker 28: more information, visit safercar.gov slash the right seat. A message
- 27:36Speaker 28: from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and the Ad Council.
- 27:40Speaker 5: It's not a matter of if.
- 27:42Speaker 6: An insane situation.
- 27:43Speaker 5: But when.
- 27:44Speaker 1: This is just the beginning.
- 27:46Speaker 5: And being prepared.
- 27:47Speaker 1: No early warning.
- 27:48Speaker 29: Is staying informed and up to date.
- 27:51Speaker 5: That's why we're here. 570 WKBN.
- 27:57Speaker 14: Hey, it's Ron Verb. Big stories. Big opinions. After Guardians
- 28:01Speaker 14: Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 28:10Speaker 5: We are going to get a look at the right-hander,
- 28:13Speaker 5: Pierce Johnson. Johnson, here in the seventh, game tied at five.
- 28:19Speaker 5: Patrick Bailey batting left-handed 0-2. And the pitch, it's in there,
- 28:24Speaker 5: it's a called strike. As he started him off with
- 28:27Speaker 5: the curveball, boy, he throws a mid-90s fastball. However, the
- 28:34Speaker 5: set and the 0-1 pitch Swung on, banged on one
- 28:40Speaker 5: hop to second. Sharp lay hit, but Arroyo feels it,
- 28:44Speaker 5: throws him out. That was another curveball. 70% of his
- 28:49Speaker 5: pitches are curveballs. Pierce Johnson, 6'2, 200 pounds. Now, 35
- 28:56Speaker 5: years of age. Ninth year in the big leagues. He
- 29:01Speaker 5: has pitched in Japan. He's pitched with the Cubs, Giants, Padres, Rockies, Braves.
- 29:06Speaker 5: The Reds, his sixth major league team. Here's Petey helping,
- 29:10Speaker 5: one for two, a single. Number nine hitter. And he
- 29:13Speaker 5: bangs one toward first, but foul. Cleveland, five runs on
- 29:18Speaker 5: six hits, no errors, two left. Reds, five runs, nine hits,
- 29:23Speaker 5: one error, four men stranded. Friends and family, that's all
- 29:27Speaker 5: that's here today for game one. You could literally count
- 29:32Speaker 5: everybody that's in the ballpark. Wouldn't take you all that long.
- 29:36Speaker 5: Here's the 0-1 pitch. In tight. There's another one tonight.
- 29:42Speaker 5: That'll be a 7-10 start. Gavin Williams for Cleveland. We
- 29:52Speaker 5: are tied 5-5. Cleveland led 4-0. Reds led 5-4. The pitch.
- 29:59Speaker 5: And it's in there. Told you how Cleveland scored the Reds.
- 30:03Speaker 5: Sal Stewart has a solo homer to center and a
- 30:06Speaker 5: two-run single. Tyler Stevenson, an RBI double. Edwin Arroyo, an
- 30:12Speaker 5: RBI single. Chase Burns won five innings, gave up five runs,
- 30:20Speaker 5: one earned. Now the one-twos. And it's golfed in the
- 30:29Speaker 5: air to straightaway center. Myers doesn't have to move. Helping
- 30:33Speaker 5: out number two. Brock Burke pitched last inning. Hook on him.
- 30:37Speaker 5: One scoreless inning. Allowed a hit. Now Pierce Johnson, who
- 30:42Speaker 5: played at Missouri State University.
- 30:50Speaker 12: Two down.
- 30:50Speaker 5: Nobody on base. You're up. Out-of-town scoreboards presented by your
- 30:57Speaker 5: Northeast Ohio Ford dealers. Here's Steven Kwan in on the
- 31:02Speaker 5: grass at third, Suarez. And the pitch to Kwan, and
- 31:07Speaker 5: it's low. And that was your out-of-town scoreboard brought to
- 31:14Speaker 5: you by your Northeast Ohio Ford dealers. This is the
- 31:18Speaker 5: only day game, day-night doubleheader here on the banks of
- 31:22Speaker 5: the Ohio River. Now the 1-0 pitch. In tight.
- 31:30Speaker 7: 1-1.
- 31:33Speaker 5: Stephen Kwan leaves one for three with a single. Sun
- 31:40Speaker 5: shining brightly now. Up to 86 degrees. It's humid. The
- 31:46Speaker 5: pitch missed outside that curveball.
- 31:49Speaker 30: 3-0.
- 31:55Speaker 5: On deck, Jose Ramirez. He's banged out a couple of
- 31:58Speaker 5: hits today. Johnson from the set. Hands belt high. Delivers.
- 32:04Speaker 5: Fastball in there. And the count, 3-1. The right-hander dealing.
- 32:21Speaker 5: And Kwon fouling it back. When you've got rust to bust,
- 32:26Speaker 5: use PB Blaster. It's a Cleveland original since 1957. PB Blaster,

- 32:45Speaker 5: Strike three called on the inside corner. Kwon out looking.
- 32:50Speaker 5: It's stretch time in Cincinnati. Cleveland, Cincinnati, 5-5 on the

- 34:44Speaker 14: Hey, it's Ron Verb, and I'll be bringing the heat
- 34:46Speaker 14: every afternoon at 3 on 570 WKBN. Boy, what an
- 34:54Speaker 14: outing by Franco Aleman, the most impressive he's had With Cleveland,
- 34:59Speaker 14: he went two perfect innings in relief and struck out five.
- 35:05Speaker 14: Right-hander Colin Holderman facing the top of the order. Bottom
- 35:09Speaker 14: of the seventh, 5-5 game. Upper 90, sinker slider, backdoor
- 35:15Speaker 14: slider for strike one. Holderman, one of the top set-up
- 35:19Speaker 14: men in the American League. Five wins, a save, a
- 35:24Speaker 14: 180 ERA, 41st appearance. Another called strike. On the breaking ball.
- 35:31Speaker 14: And now that is being challenged by De La Cruz.
- 35:38Speaker 14: And De La Cruz was correct. Ball overturned. Each team
- 35:43Speaker 14: with a challenge remaining. And the count now one and one.
- 35:51Speaker 14: De La Cruz today. A couple of base hits. Run scored.
- 35:55Speaker 14: The set and pitch. Another slider and a beauty. And
- 35:59Speaker 14: the count now, one and two. Now the pitch in
- 36:14Speaker 14: the dirt. I'm still not sure.
- 36:17Speaker 5: Why we're doing a day-night doubleheader. They announced today's attendance.
- 36:23Speaker 5: This is announced.
- 36:24Speaker 1: 16,866.
- 36:28Speaker 5: We may have a couple of thousand in the ballpark.
- 36:31Speaker 13: Maybe.
- 36:33Speaker 5: Now the 2-2. Fouled it back. I think a lot
- 36:38Speaker 5: of people were surprised when they said last night, day-night doubleheader.
- 36:41Speaker 5: It's like, really? Normally the day-night doubleheaders are because you
- 36:47Speaker 5: have big crowds expected for the games. Not normally when
- 36:54Speaker 5: you have a Paid attendance of 16,000. Do you do
- 36:57Speaker 5: a day-night doubleheader? Oh, wow. The pitch. Tapper hit foul
- 37:03Speaker 5: first base side. De La Cruz still with a 2-2 count.
- 37:12Speaker 5: It's turned into a mostly sunny day now. 86 degrees,
- 37:18Speaker 5: breeze blowing out. The pitch. And he got him swinging.
- 37:24Speaker 5: Came back with a slider. Holderman strikes out De La Cruz.
- 37:28Speaker 5: That'll start the seventh. Here's Sal Stewart. Solo homer. Two
- 37:32Speaker 5: runs single and a walk. Sal Stewart. Cuts and misses.
- 37:55Speaker 5: Strike one. He had one thing on his mind. Trying
- 37:59Speaker 5: to hit one to the upper deck and left. Very
- 38:02Speaker 5: cozy ballpark. Now the 0-1 delivery. And it's fouled upstairs. 0-2.
- 38:14Speaker 5: A little bit south of us right here on the
- 38:16Speaker 5: Ohio River is the Bengals. Not only do the Bengals
- 38:20Speaker 5: have their stadiums, On the banks of the Ohio River.
- 38:24Speaker 5: But their practice facility is right next to it. Browns,
- 38:29Speaker 5: of course, have the stadium downtown practice facility in Berea.
- 38:34Speaker 5: But the Bengals practice facility right next door to the
- 38:40Speaker 5: stadium here in downtown Cincinnati. Now the 0-2. Up and in.
- 38:46Speaker 5: And that went all the way to the backstop. 98
- 38:49Speaker 5: miles an hour. And they count a 1 and 2. Well,
- 39:00Speaker 5: the Guardians and Diamondbacks Saturday night. It's the Kate Smith
- 39:05Speaker 5: bobblehead giveaway plus fireworks. Tickets at CLEGuardians.com. Now the 1-2.
- 39:18Speaker 5: Slider in the dirt to the backstop. Ball two, strike two. Boy,
- 39:26Speaker 5: where would Cleveland's bullpen be without the addition of Colin
- 39:29Speaker 5: Holderman this year? The 2-2. Checked on a slider away,
- 39:40Speaker 5: didn't go. Full count. Pretty much every playoff team or
- 39:46Speaker 5: playoff contender is looking to add bullpen arms to Before
- 39:51Speaker 5: the deadline. Next Monday night at 6 o'clock. The payoff pitch.
- 40:01Speaker 5: And it's swung and grounded in the hole. Diving back
- 40:04Speaker 5: in to grab by Rocchio. Pops up. Throws to first.
- 40:07Speaker 5: On the bounce. Dug out by Manzardo. Holy cow. What
- 40:11Speaker 5: a play by Rocchio in the hole. And a nice
- 40:15Speaker 5: pick at first by Manzardo. Tremendous play by Rocchio. And
- 40:23Speaker 5: Cleveland doesn't have to wonder who their shortstop is when
- 40:27Speaker 5: you think about the coming years. Wow, has he been good.
- 40:31Speaker 5: Here's J.J. Bladet 0 for 3. Thing is, Cleveland's got
- 40:36Speaker 5: another heck of a shortstop in Columbus and Angel Hanao.
- 40:39Speaker 5: That pitch outside a ball. Bladet 0 for 3. Now
- 40:50Speaker 5: the set. Now the pitch. And it's hit a ton
- 40:53Speaker 5: to center. Back goes Helpen. On the track. Near the wall. Jumps.
- 40:57Speaker 5: Makes the catch. Little half jump by Petey Helpen. We
- 41:02Speaker 5: go to the eighth. Deadlocked at five on the Cleveland
- 41:05Speaker 5: Clinic Radio Network.
- 41:07Speaker 33: Farming is dangerous. There's dangers all around us. We work

- 41:14Speaker 34: We go through safety training and, you know, we try

- 43:10Speaker 37: is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station, guaranteed human.
- 43:17Speaker 5: Tom Hamilton with you, along with Jim Rosenhaus, Brian Motze,
- 43:20Speaker 5: Dave Abbott. 5-5 in the eighth. Jose Ramirez batting right-handed.
- 43:25Speaker 5: The lefty, Sam Maul, with a breaking ball strike. Ramirez today,
- 43:30Speaker 5: two singles, two steals, two runs scored. Pierce Johnson worked
- 43:36Speaker 5: a scoreless seventh. Now the little lefty, 5'9, 190. Maul delivering,
- 43:43Speaker 5: and Ramirez taking. It's in the dirt, one and one.
- 43:47Speaker 5: This year, Maul in 48 games. A win, a save,
- 43:51Speaker 5: 432 ERA. Now to the University of Memphis. The 1-1.
- 44:04Speaker 5: And it's tapped foul at the plate. A 1-2 count.
- 44:10Speaker 5: Hunter Gattis heating up in the Cleveland pen. Maul takes
- 44:32Speaker 5: a little extra time, climbs back up on the hill.
- 44:35Speaker 5: Now the 1-2 to Ramirez. And he fouled it at
- 44:42Speaker 5: the plate. Well, it's rumor mill time with the deadline
- 44:47Speaker 5: next Monday. Word is now Tampa Bay has interest in
- 44:51Speaker 5: Zach Netto. I think everybody that needs a shortstop has
- 44:55Speaker 5: interest in the angel Zach Netto because he had them
- 44:58Speaker 5: for three more years, but boy. The Angels are going
- 45:02Speaker 5: to ask for a boatload if they trade Nettle. Now
- 45:07Speaker 5: the 1-2. And it's hit on the ground to third.
- 45:12Speaker 5: Charged by Suarez. Gloves. Throws. And not in time. But
- 45:17Speaker 5: he's called out. Beg your pardon. Boy, I thought he
- 45:21Speaker 5: had beaten it. Cleveland checking to see if they want
- 45:24Speaker 5: to challenge.
- 45:26Speaker 16: Nope.
- 45:27Speaker 5: Bang, bang, play. But Ramirez out by an eyelash. Here's
- 45:31Speaker 5: Chase DeLauder, 0 for 2 with a sack fly that
- 45:35Speaker 5: tied the game. The Detroit Tigers today designated catcher Jake Rogers.
- 45:41Speaker 5: He'd been the backup catcher to Dylan Dingler. He was
- 45:48Speaker 5: the last piece they had from Houston when they traded
- 45:51Speaker 5: Justin Verlander in his heyday to the Astros. Left on left,
- 45:59Speaker 5: Maul's pitch to DeLauder. And a lot are much better
- 46:02Speaker 5: against lefty pitching. Cuts and misses. Strike one. As good
- 46:10Speaker 5: as Tampa Bay is. Oh man. If they get at
- 46:14Speaker 5: a guy like Zach Nettel. The 0-1 pitch. Down low.
- 46:23Speaker 5: One and one. Nettel brings you home run power. Good shortstop.
- 46:28Speaker 5: And controllable and Tampa has one of the best farm
- 46:32Speaker 5: systems in the game. Well, that would give them another
- 46:36Speaker 5: weapon in that lineup. The 1-1 pitch. Outside and low, 2-1.
- 46:44Speaker 5: Every baseball guy you talk to now says the big
- 46:49Speaker 5: decision is still the one that's going to eventually be
- 46:53Speaker 5: made in Detroit. Do they trade Tarek Skubal or not?
- 46:58Speaker 5: The 2-1 pitch. And it's fouled off right side 2-2. Tigers,
- 47:07Speaker 5: they've lost three in a row. They're 7 under.
- 47:11Speaker 4: 500.
- 47:11Speaker 5: Of course, they're still in it. But they trade Scooble.
- 47:18Speaker 5: There are a lot of baseball executives in the American
- 47:21Speaker 5: League that hope the Tigers keep Scooble and simply get
- 47:25Speaker 5: a draft pick when he walks away at the end
- 47:27Speaker 5: of the year. Now the 2-2 pitch. Inside and low,
- 47:34Speaker 5: full count. Because even though Scoble is a free agent
- 47:38Speaker 5: at the end of the year, he's the guy that
- 47:41Speaker 5: puts you over the top if you're a team like
- 47:43Speaker 5: maybe Tampa, Milwaukee, Atlanta. You add him, oh boy. Now
- 47:49Speaker 5: the payoff pitch. And it's swung on, drilled to center.
- 47:55Speaker 5: Another base hit off a left-hander for Chase DeLauder. But
- 48:00Speaker 5: for the Tigers... If they trade Scooble and they can
- 48:04Speaker 5: say whatever they want, that we're still in it, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
- 48:10Speaker 5: you're not the same team that you were when you
- 48:13Speaker 5: traded Scooble. But if they did trade Scooble, you couldn't
- 48:18Speaker 5: hardly blame them because of what they could get in
- 48:21Speaker 5: return for the coming years. Here's Travis Bozzano. Ground out
- 48:26Speaker 5: two walks. One out, one on. 5-5, eighth inning. The pitch...
- 48:31Speaker 5: And it's a strike on the outside corner. And Casey
- 48:34Speaker 5: Mize is another Tigers starting pitcher who will be a
- 48:38Speaker 5: free agent at the end of this season. Now the 0-1.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Breaking ball strike, 0-2 on Bozanum. He's hitting cleanup today.
- 49:07Speaker 5: The set. The two-strength pitch. And he tapped it foul
- 49:12Speaker 5: at the plate. Will do it again at 0-2. 5-5
- 49:16Speaker 5: in the eighth. Runner on, one out. Check out the all-new...
- 49:20Speaker 5: redesigned hybrid Toyota RAV4. It's America's best-selling SUV. For all
- 49:26Speaker 5: Toyota offers, go to toyota.com. DeLauder, modest lead at first.
- 49:45Speaker 5: The left-hander, Sam Maul, is ready. He deals. And Bozana
- 49:53Speaker 5: spoiled a breaking ball, fouling it back. Will do it
- 49:56Speaker 5: again at 0-2. Outfield straight up, not all that deep.
- 50:16Speaker 5: Now the two-strike pitch. Outside, one and two. Cleveland trying
- 50:30Speaker 5: to snap its longest losing streak of the year. They've
- 50:34Speaker 5: dropped five in a row. They're only a game above. 500,
- 50:38Speaker 5: and yet only two games out of first. This is
- 50:43Speaker 5: a big game here, game one. Now the one-two. And again,
- 50:51Speaker 5: fouled back. Good at-bat by Travis Buzana, who has struggled
- 50:55Speaker 5: against left-handed pitching. Ball is ready. Here it comes. And
- 51:15Speaker 5: it's drilled to right field. A base hit by Bozana.
- 51:19Speaker 5: De Lauder motoring around second on his way to third.
- 51:23Speaker 5: That's as good and as bad as Travis Bozana's had
- 51:26Speaker 5: in quite some time. A seven-pitch at bat against a
- 51:30Speaker 5: tough left-hander. He spoiled a lot of two-strike breaking balls
- 51:36Speaker 5: and then smoked a single to right. And Cleveland in
- 51:40Speaker 5: a 5-5 game in the eighth. Runners at the corners.
- 51:44Speaker 5: One down. And Brian Rocchio, one for three with a single.
- 51:48Speaker 5: He'll step in and bat right-handed. The set and pitch.
- 51:56Speaker 5: And he showed safety squeeze. Bunt took a strike and
- 51:59Speaker 5: he challenges the call. Oh, boy. Video board says. Cleveland's
- 52:11Speaker 5: out of challenges. Strike upheld. Not sure how you challenge
- 52:16Speaker 5: a pitch when you're squaring the bunt. Pull the bat back.
- 52:21Speaker 13: But..
- 52:24Speaker 5: Hasta la vida, baby, when it comes to challenges. The
- 52:28Speaker 5: 0-1 now to Rocchio. Infield partway in. He bumps back
- 52:31Speaker 5: towards the mound. Coming home with a go-ahead run to Lauder.
- 52:35Speaker 5: The throw goes to first to get Rocchio. Bazana to second.
- 52:39Speaker 5: And another perfectly executed safety squeeze by Brian Rocchio between
- 52:46Speaker 5: the mound and first. And he bunted it in a
- 52:50Speaker 5: perfect spot that enabled De Lauder to score with ease.
- 52:56Speaker 5: The pitcher, Maul, wisely got the out at first and
- 53:01Speaker 5: give Brian Rocchio RBI number 50. And Cleveland's back on
- 53:06Speaker 5: top for the third time today, 6-5 Cleveland. Here's Kyle Manzardo,
- 53:11Speaker 5: pitch outside, ball one. Well, nobody loves the safety squeeze
- 53:17Speaker 5: bunt more than Stephen Vogt, and that time it was
- 53:21Speaker 5: a beauty. And gives Cleveland A 6-5 lead. Cleveland led
- 53:29Speaker 5: 4-0 in the first on the Kyle Manzardo grand slam
- 53:32Speaker 5: to right. Now the pitch. And a check swing foul.
- 53:38Speaker 5: 6-5 Guardians, eighth inning. Game one of a day-night doubleheader,
- 53:45Speaker 5: the night cap, with Gavin Williams on the hill at 7-10.
- 54:04Speaker 5: Two down. Bozzano, not that big a lead. Edges off
- 54:08Speaker 5: a little more. Now the pitch. And Manzardo takes outside.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Two balls and a strike. Cleveland have been shut out
- 54:25Speaker 5: back-to-back games this weekend in St.
- 54:27Speaker 12: Pete.
- 54:28Speaker 5: Six runs today. The pitch. Down and in. Ball has
- 54:33Speaker 5: thrown a lot of breaking balls and not a lot
- 54:36Speaker 5: of strikes. So, another hitter's count for Manzardo. Three and one. Again,
- 54:49Speaker 5: the outfielder's not all that deep. The pitch. Checked on
- 54:58Speaker 5: a pitch low. Ball fourth. Ball has walked another. That'll
- 55:03Speaker 5: bring up Angel Martinez. So we'll have a meeting. As
- 55:13Speaker 5: Cleveland has runners at first and second with two down.
- 55:20Speaker 5: Angel Martinez will bat right-handed. Six to five, Cleveland's regained
- 55:26Speaker 5: the lead here in the eighth inning, and Angel Martinez...
- 55:31Speaker 5: trying to spread it a little more. Hunter Gaddis is
- 55:34Speaker 5: going to work the bottom of the eighth. All right, Tom,
- 55:39Speaker 5: you mentioned it earlier about the real weakness for the
- 55:42Speaker 5: Reds has been their bullpen. Terry Francona has had a
- 55:45Speaker 5: hard time getting consistency there, and this is where the
- 55:47Speaker 5: Guardians have to take advantage in close games. Anil Martinez
- 55:55Speaker 5: trying to break an 0-for-16 skid. Ball. Checks, delivers, way outside.
- 56:05Speaker 5: There's no ifs, ands, or buts about it. Cleveland's bullpen,
- 56:10Speaker 5: one of the best in the game. The Reds, one
- 56:11Speaker 5: of the worst. Tito was saying yesterday in his office,
- 56:15Speaker 5: just too many injuries early have really sabotaged this bullpen.
- 56:19Speaker 5: The pitch, and it's hit in the air. Not deep.
- 56:23Speaker 5: Left center, dropping quickly. Diving catch by Friedel, the left fielder.
- 56:29Speaker 5: That looked like it was going to find grass. Heck
- 56:31Speaker 5: of a play by Friedel. So Cleveland's taking the lead
- 56:35Speaker 5: back on a safety squeeze button. 6-5, Guardians, middle of
- 56:41Speaker 5: the eighth.

- 58:28Speaker 5: Hey, it's Ron Furb.
- 58:30Speaker 14: I'm saying what everyone else won't after Guardians Baseball on
- 58:33Speaker 14: 570 WKBN.
- 58:39Speaker 5: Well, now it's in the hands of Hunter Gattis. Mid-90s
- 58:42Speaker 5: fastball slider changeup. He'll now inherit a 6-5 lead on
- 58:47Speaker 5: Hunter Gattis. He and Eric Cebrowski share the team lead
- 58:51Speaker 5: with 20 holds. Eugenio Suarez 0-3. The pitch to him.
- 58:58Speaker 5: And it's up high, a ball. Cleveland's bullpen leads the
- 59:02Speaker 5: major leagues as a bullpen in holds. 86 times they've
- 59:09Speaker 5: held it. the lead. Suarez 0 for 3, the pitch,
- 59:15Speaker 5: and he cuts and misses, and they count 1 and 1.
- 59:19Speaker 5: Compare that to Cincinnati. Cleveland, 86 holds, the Reds, 58.
- 59:29Speaker 5: Righty-righty and countered. The pitch. And it's popped up. This
- 59:34Speaker 5: is near home plate towards the backstop. Patrick Bailey has
- 59:38Speaker 5: the play. Catcher almost overran it. Reaches back, snags it. Suarez,
- 59:43Speaker 5: a dangerous home run. Threat fouls out to the catcher.
- 59:47Speaker 5: The bullpen's been lights out today. Franco Alamon struck out
- 59:52Speaker 5: five and two scoreless. Colin Holderman had a one, two, three, seven.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Now Hunter Gattis. with Kate Smith for the ninth Nathaniel
- 1:00:03Speaker 5: Lowe the batter one for three with a double left
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: handed hitter he's got pop a dozen home runs Gattis
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: dealing and the pitch in tight ball one again in
- 1:00:18Speaker 5: this ballpark you don't have to have a whole lot
- 1:00:21Speaker 5: of power to hit it out that's why a one
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: run lead can dissipate in a hurry The pitch to Lowe,
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: and he fouled it at the plate. He was fooled
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: on a changeup. One and one. Lowe! He is a
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: guy that, here's the sudden pitch, and he hits a
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: little looping liner that's going to get down for a
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: base hit into right center. I was just going to
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: say Lowe is a guy that Last five years, he's
- 1:01:02Speaker 5: averaged 19 homers a year. Now he'll leave for a
- 1:01:05Speaker 5: pinch runner. Lavin Johnson is going to pinch run. Six
- 1:01:24Speaker 5: to five, Cleveland-Johnson. Just coming up. And the batter will
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: be Tyler Stevenson. Right-hander against right-hander. He's doubled in a
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: run and singled two for three. Six to five, Cleveland
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: in the eighth. The pitch waved at, strike one. Ivan
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: Johnson just up from Louisville. His second stint with the Reds.
- 1:02:09Speaker 5: Down to 0-1. And it's waved at. Good slider away.
- 1:02:14Speaker 37: 0-2.
- 1:02:38Speaker 5: Gattis is ready. Toss to first, back with the dive
- 1:02:41Speaker 5: is Johnson. He represents the tying run at first with
- 1:02:45Speaker 5: a one down in the eighth. Stevenson has played deep
- 1:02:50Speaker 5: in the outfield, but the other way toward right. Wind
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: has been blowing out all day. It's hot. It's humid.
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: The pitch, and he popped it up. First base side,
- 1:03:04Speaker 5: foul ground into the seats. Still a no-two count on
- 1:03:09Speaker 5: the Reds catcher. Reds made the playoffs a year ago,
- 1:03:23Speaker 5: and Tito's first season led them to 83 wins. Wild
- 1:03:29Speaker 5: card entry. They went to L.A. and got swept in
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: two games by the Dodgers. The 0-2. Wide, one ball,
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: two strikes. Hard to believe the Dodgers had to play
- 1:03:42Speaker 5: in a wild card round. Again, the set and delivery,
- 1:03:54Speaker 5: and it's a touch high. And the count two and two. Gannis,
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: the two-two. Foul, tipped it at the plate. Well, three
- 1:04:21Speaker 5: kids took their shirts off in the upper deck in
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: left field. They're going crazy out there. They have the
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: whole upper deck to themselves. Six to five, Cleveland, eighth inning.
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: Gattis is ready. Here it comes. And it's hit high
- 1:04:39Speaker 5: in the air, fairly deep right center, playable. P.D. helping
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: the center fielder, ends up on the warning track. Catches,
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: fires it in. Bluffing going to second was Johnson. He'll
- 1:04:50Speaker 5: head back to first. That looked routine, and the next
- 1:04:53Speaker 5: thing you know, it's on the warning track. Stephenson's out
- 1:04:57Speaker 5: number two. Here's Dane Myers, one for three with a single.
- 1:05:03Speaker 5: Two down, runner at first, 6-5 Cleveland in the eighth inning.
- 1:05:07Speaker 5: Game one of this day-night doubleheader. The set and delivery.
- 1:05:21Speaker 5: Low ball one. Gattis fires, and it's drilled foul down
- 1:05:41Speaker 5: the left side. He got a hanging changeup. One ball,
- 1:05:45Speaker 5: one strike. Two outs. Runner on eighth inning. Cleveland with
- 1:05:48Speaker 5: a one-run lead. Down the 1-1. Fouled it back. Fastball
- 1:06:10Speaker 5: to 96. 1-2 the count. The one-two. Runner goes. Pitch
- 1:06:29Speaker 5: swung on. Dribbler to third. This is going to be
- 1:06:31Speaker 5: a tough play. Ramirez has no play. Just picks it up.
- 1:06:36Speaker 5: Dane Myers. About a 75-foot single to third. Two out,
- 1:06:41Speaker 5: two on for Edwin Arroyo. Here comes pitching coach Carl
- 1:06:46Speaker 5: Willis out of that third base dugout.
- 1:06:52Speaker 30: Arroyo.
- 1:06:53Speaker 5: One for three, an RBI single. Cincinnati's famous for a
- 1:07:02Speaker 5: lot of things. Montgomery Inn. It's a classic down here.
- 1:07:07Speaker 5: About the best ribs you'll ever have anywhere. There's Saratoga chips.
- 1:07:12Speaker 5: Raiders ice cream is here out of Cincinnati. Done with
- 1:07:17Speaker 5: a day-night doubleheader today. What would you have for breakfast
- 1:07:21Speaker 5: at the ballpark? They serve Skyline Chili. There was a
- 1:07:31Speaker 5: line for it. It's because the people that were eating
- 1:07:35Speaker 5: it didn't have to pay for.
- 1:07:38Speaker 21: It.
- 1:07:38Speaker 5: They're paying for it big time now. Nothing says breakfast
- 1:07:47Speaker 5: like chili. Ah, yes. On an 86 degree humid day.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: Two down, two on. Six to five. Cleveland in the eighth.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: Arroyo takes a high slider for ball one. Outfield around
- 1:08:15Speaker 5: toward right. Medium deep. The next offering. And it's swung on,
- 1:08:21Speaker 5: pulled foul, threw him a changeup. 1-1 the count. Cleveland
- 1:08:30Speaker 5: led 4-0. Reds eventually claimed a 5-4 lead. Cleveland tied
- 1:08:36Speaker 5: it in the fifth, took the lead here in the
- 1:08:38Speaker 5: top of the eighth. Bottom of the eighth, two out,
- 1:08:40Speaker 5: two on. 6-5 Cleveland. The 1-1. Swing and a miss.
- 1:08:46Speaker 5: Good slider down and in. One ball, two strikes. Get him. Gattis,
- 1:09:00Speaker 5: pitch number 21 of the inning. Got him, swinging on
- 1:09:04Speaker 5: a wicked slider. We'll go to the ninth, 6-5 Cleveland
- 1:09:08Speaker 5: on the Cleveland Clinic Radio Network.
- 1:09:11Speaker 39: If you talk to me, we'll hear you.
- 1:09:14Speaker 40: We all want our kids to grow up safe and healthy,
- 1:09:17Speaker 40: so we show them how. And we tell them with
- 1:09:20Speaker 40: honest conversations that let them know what we expect. Not
- 1:09:24Speaker 40: just one time, but every chance we get. That's especially
- 1:09:28Speaker 40: important when it comes to alcohol and other drugs. Kids
- 1:09:31Speaker 40: not only need to know the dangers and how to
- 1:09:34Speaker 40: avoid them, they need to hear it often from you.
- 1:09:37Speaker 40: And when it comes to pain medications, opioids, they need
- 1:09:41Speaker 40: to know that they should never be taken without a
- 1:09:43Speaker 40: prescription and never shared with friends or family. It's dangerous
- 1:09:47Speaker 40: and illegal. So talk with your kids and guide them
- 1:09:51Speaker 40: through the challenges of growing up safe and healthy. Because
- 1:09:54Speaker 40: when you talk, they hear you. For more information about

- 1:11:00Speaker 14: the Valley. After Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 1:11:07Speaker 5: Chase Petty is coming on to pitch for Cincinnati, a
- 1:11:10Speaker 5: hard-throwing right-hander, mid-to-upper 90s fastball and sinker. He also features
- 1:11:17Speaker 5: the slider and the changeup. Chase Petty will face Patrick Bailey,
- 1:11:26Speaker 5: batting left-handed, 0 for 3, switch hitting catcher, who fouls
- 1:11:30Speaker 5: back the first offering, strike one. Petty. His 14th appearance,
- 1:11:34Speaker 5: a win, a save, a 4.23 ERA.
- 1:11:46Speaker 12: Petty.
- 1:11:48Speaker 5: Fires. And it's high and wide, one and one. Petty
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: is just 23 years of age, 6 feet 200 pounds.
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: Down the 1-1, and it's hit on the ground up
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: the middle to his right, backhanded by Arroyo. Second baseman straightens,
- 1:12:12Speaker 5: throws out the Cleveland catcher. Petty was a first-round pick
- 1:12:19Speaker 5: by Minnesota, 26th overall five years ago, and the Reds
- 1:12:23Speaker 5: got him when they dealt Sonny Gray to Minnesota. Went
- 1:12:33Speaker 5: to the same high school in Jersey outside of Philadelphia
- 1:12:37Speaker 5: that produced Mike Trout. Here's Petey helping. He swings and
- 1:12:42Speaker 5: fouls it off. Strike one. Six runs, eight hits, Cleveland.
- 1:13:01Speaker 5: Five runs, 11 hits, Cincinnati. We're in the ninth. The pitch.
- 1:13:08Speaker 5: Helping rips one into right between first and second. He
- 1:13:12Speaker 5: has a two-hit game. Top of the order now, Stephen Kwan,
- 1:13:17Speaker 5: one for four with a single. Cade Smith will be
- 1:13:21Speaker 5: facing nine, one, and two in Tito's lineup in the
- 1:13:26Speaker 5: bottom of the ninth. Helping. Let's see if he is running.
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: He's six for six in the stolen base department. Tyler
- 1:13:38Speaker 5: Stevenson's not throwing very well. The pitch. And it's in there.
- 1:13:43Speaker 5: Cleveland has swiped three bases today. Stevenson throwing out just 18%
- 1:13:51Speaker 5: of the would-be base steals. That is not good. The
- 1:13:57Speaker 5: one-strike pitch. And it's lifted in the air to left.
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: Not deep. Coming on. Diving is free until he made
- 1:14:08Speaker 5: another heck of a catch. Boy, he's a good outfielder.
- 1:14:12Speaker 5: He takes a hit away from Kwon. Back to first
- 1:14:16Speaker 5: is helping. Two down. That'll bring up Jose Ramirez. Two hits.
- 1:14:23Speaker 5: Two steals. Two runs scored. He manufactured a run for
- 1:14:27Speaker 5: Cleveland when they tied the game in the fifth. 6-5 Cleveland,
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: ninth inning. Runner at first, two down. Ramirez batting left-handed.
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: The pitch, and it's in there. Hosey admits that left
- 1:14:48Speaker 5: hand where he had the broken hamate surgery to remove
- 1:14:51Speaker 5: that bone. Still very sore, but he said that's no excuse.
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: Play through it. The 0-1, and it's outside. A changeup,
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: one and one, and There's not a tougher customer in
- 1:15:05Speaker 5: the game than Jose Ramirez and a guy that can
- 1:15:08Speaker 5: will your team to a win. Now the 1-1. And
- 1:15:19Speaker 5: he sends a line drive to center, but right at Myers,
- 1:15:23Speaker 5: and we'll go to the bottom of the ninth. Cade
- 1:15:25Speaker 5: Smith will be looking for his Major League leading 30th save.
- 1:15:31Speaker 5: Six to five, Guardians. Every small business owner dreams of

- 1:17:12Speaker 5: This is Jim Rosenhouse, and you are listening to the
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: Cleveland Clinic Guardians Radio Network.
- 1:17:19Speaker 14: It's Ron Furb, and I've got opinions you'll want to
- 1:17:21Speaker 14: hear after Guardians Baseball on 570 WKBN.
- 1:17:23Speaker 5: Well, 6-5 Cleveland. Cade Smith comes on. 29 for 33
- 1:17:30Speaker 5: in the save department. ERA 263. 19 more strikeouts than
- 1:17:42Speaker 5: innings pitched. Upper 90s fastball slider split. T.J. Friedel, the batter.
- 1:17:49Speaker 5: 0 for 3. A pop-up, two fly-outs. In close at third,
- 1:17:54Speaker 5: Jose Ramirez. The pitch, Friedel takes. It's in there, a
- 1:17:59Speaker 5: called strike. That was 100 miles per hour on the fastball.
- 1:18:09Speaker 5: The next delivery And it's fouled upstairs, and it's another
- 1:18:14Speaker 5: 100 miles an hour.
- 1:18:16Speaker 30: 0-2.
- 1:18:23Speaker 5: Bullpen's in about as good a shape as it's been because, well,
- 1:18:27Speaker 5: this past weekend in St. Pete, never had a lead late.
- 1:18:31Speaker 5: So your key late-ending guys weren't needed. The pitch, and
- 1:18:38Speaker 5: he missed outside. One ball, two strikes. Hunter Gattis scoreless inning.
- 1:18:44Speaker 5: Gave up a couple of hits. Struck out of it.
- 1:18:47Speaker 5: Cleveland's bullpen has today been on. since the fourth inning.
- 1:18:51Speaker 5: It's given up one run. Friedel sends that pitch up
- 1:18:54Speaker 5: in the air. Behind home plate foul. Patrick Bailey lunging
- 1:18:59Speaker 5: to his left. Made the catch as he had overrun
- 1:19:03Speaker 5: it just a bit. And that ball started to go
- 1:19:05Speaker 5: back toward the plate. Nice job by Bailey to stick
- 1:19:10Speaker 5: with it. That is not an easy play. One down,
- 1:19:15Speaker 5: top of the order, Ellie Delacruz, switch hitter batting left-handed. Delacruz,
- 1:19:21Speaker 5: two for four, couple of singles. Six to five, Cleveland
- 1:19:30Speaker 5: here in the ninth. Delacruz does have 18 bombs. He takes,
- 1:19:36Speaker 5: it's in there, a strike, a split finger. De La
- 1:19:40Speaker 5: Cruz hits out of a very open stance. He will
- 1:19:52Speaker 5: strike out a lot. The pitch, and it's down and away,
- 1:19:59Speaker 5: one and one. De La Cruz Out of the DR,
- 1:20:12Speaker 5: the pitch to him. Wide, 2-1. Cade Smith lets it rip.
- 1:20:27Speaker 5: Missed inside. 3-1 the count. Cleveland is out of challenges
- 1:20:36Speaker 5: on any close pitch. If they wanted a challenge. Now
- 1:20:42Speaker 5: the 3-1. There's the strike on the outer edge. Della
- 1:20:46Speaker 5: Cruz got a 100-mile-an-hour fastball on the outside corner. Nothing
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: you can do with that pitch. Full count now in
- 1:20:54Speaker 5: the red shortstop. One out in the ninth. Cleveland clinging
- 1:20:58Speaker 5: to a 6-5 lead. With the all-star closer, Cade Smith,
- 1:21:03Speaker 5: looking for save number 30. The payoff pitch. God, I'm
- 1:21:10Speaker 5: swinging on 100-mile-an-hour heat. Two down in the Reds' ninth inning.
- 1:21:20Speaker 5: Cleveland's bullpen, starting with Franco Alamon. If you include this
- 1:21:25Speaker 5: ninth inning, in five innings, they have struck out eight.
- 1:21:32Speaker 5: Here is Sal Stewart, the last hope. Their best home
- 1:21:36Speaker 5: run power man. The pitch. Just missed. Bailey held it.
- 1:21:43Speaker 5: Didn't get the call. Sal Stewart hit his 22nd homer.
- 1:21:50Speaker 5: A solo shot to center earlier. Plus a two-run single.
- 1:21:54Speaker 5: Righty-righty matchup. The pitch. Slider down and away. 2-0 on Stewart.
- 1:22:01Speaker 5: 6-5 Cleveland in the ninth. Cade Smith works quickly. Here
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: it comes. Bullseye. And Stewart challenges the call. And it
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: was a strike. So both teams out of challenges. The
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: count stays.
- 1:22:28Speaker 7: 2-1.
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: 2 down. 9th inning. 6-5 Cleveland. Kate Smith is ready.
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: Here it comes. Way outside, yanked the fastball. He is
- 1:22:43Speaker 5: sitting 100 miles per hour in the fastball here today.
- 1:22:50Speaker 5: And Stewart steps away. Boy, Smith has some kind of giddy-up.
- 1:22:56Speaker 5: He hasn't pitched since the Minnesota series five days ago.
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: Now the 3-1. Checked and took a strike. Full count.
- 1:23:06Speaker 5: Took a little something off that fastball, 99 miles per hour.
- 1:23:11Speaker 5: Reds down to their last strike. The payoff pitch. Wide.
- 1:23:18Speaker 5: He walked him. Sal Stewart with a two-out walk. Winning
- 1:23:22Speaker 5: run to the plate and J.J. Bledae. If you're wondering,
- 1:23:30Speaker 5: Kate Smith has given up four home runs. Bledae 0
- 1:23:34Speaker 5: for 4. He's hit 17 home runs. He's a guy,
- 1:23:39Speaker 5: the book on him now is pitch away, away, away.
- 1:23:43Speaker 5: The pitch, and it's down and in. Missed with a
- 1:23:46Speaker 5: split finger. Tying run at first, winning run at the plate.
- 1:23:54Speaker 5: Two down, ninth inning. Six to five, Cleveland in game one.
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: Another one at 7-10 tonight. The next pitch. Swung on,
- 1:24:02Speaker 5: line to right field. Coming on, diving Martinez. He made
- 1:24:07Speaker 5: the catch! Ball game! A great diving catch in right
- 1:24:13Speaker 5: field by Angel Martinez. And Cleveland takes game one today
- 1:24:20Speaker 5: on the banks of the Ohio River, 6-5.

- 1:26:26Speaker 5: by Angel Martinez to end it. Cleveland got a grand
- 1:26:29Speaker 5: slam from Kyle Manzardo in the first inning to take
- 1:26:32Speaker 5: a 4-0 lead after having not scored since Friday night
- 1:26:36Speaker 5: in St. Pete. Then Cleveland fell behind 5-4 and then
- 1:26:41Speaker 5: scratched their way back to tie it and win it

- 1:33:23Speaker 5: Brought to you by Goodwill and the Ad Council. Welcome
- 1:33:29Speaker 5: back to Cincinnati. Guardians wrap up following a 6-5 Guardians
- 1:33:33Speaker 5: win in the opener of this day-night doubleheader. The Guardians
- 1:33:37Speaker 5: snapping a five-game losing skid in the process, and they
- 1:33:41Speaker 5: got it going early on our Honda drive-at-home game summary.
- 1:33:45Speaker 5: First inning against one of the best starters in baseball,
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: young Chase Burns. Jose Ramirez singled with one out. Chase
- 1:33:53Speaker 5: DeLauder reached on an error. Travis Bazzana walked to load
- 1:33:56Speaker 5: the bases, and then with two outs, Kyle Manzardo stepped in. Burns,
- 1:34:01Speaker 5: who again, they're going to be very careful with him.
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: His pitch count, his innings this year. And he's going
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: to make at least 29 pitches. The next one. Swung
- 1:34:12Speaker 5: on and hammered to deep right. Away, back and gone.
- 1:34:19Speaker 5: A grand slam to right by Kyle Manzardo. And the best...
- 1:34:26Speaker 5: Replay challenge that was ever overturned in the history of
- 1:34:30Speaker 5: the Cleveland Guardians. Instead of it being 1-0 Cleveland, 4-0
- 1:34:36Speaker 5: Cleveland on Kyle Manzardo's first Grand Slam of the year.
- 1:34:42Speaker 5: Cleveland's fourth Grand Slam as a team. Manzardo's team-high 12th
- 1:34:47Speaker 5: homer giving him 36 RBIs. So a quick start for
- 1:34:52Speaker 5: the Guardians, but the Reds would battle back Again, starting
- 1:34:55Speaker 5: pitcher Slade Ciccone in the bullpen. A Sal Stewart home
- 1:34:59Speaker 5: run in the third inning put them on the board.
- 1:35:01Speaker 5: And then they took the lead with a four-run fourth.
- 1:35:04Speaker 5: An RBI double from Tyler Stevenson. An RBI single from
- 1:35:08Speaker 5: Edwin Arroyo. And a two-run single from Sal Stewart. And
- 1:35:12Speaker 5: that put the Reds over the top. They led it
- 1:35:14Speaker 5: 5-4 heading to the fifth inning. The Guardians would tie
- 1:35:20Speaker 5: the game, and it was the Jose Ramirez show. Here's
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: the pitch to Jose Ramirez, and he lines it down
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: the right field side, and it's dropping for a base hit.
- 1:35:30Speaker 5: Cut off in the corner by Bledet, and it'll hold
- 1:35:33Speaker 5: Ramirez to a long single. Here's the pitch to DeLauder.
- 1:35:37Speaker 5: On the move is Ramirez, and he'll steal the bag
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: without a throw. Number 25 for Jose Ramirez. Here's the 1-0.
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: He's taking off for third. The throwdown is not in time.
- 1:35:50Speaker 5: Safe at third base is Ramirez. He's single-handedly trying to
- 1:35:56Speaker 5: energize this ball club. This ball club has been flat
- 1:36:01Speaker 5: at times since the All-Star break. He knows right now
- 1:36:05Speaker 5: this club needs something good to happen after blowing a
- 1:36:09Speaker 5: 4-0 lead. Who else but Jose Ramirez says, all right,
- 1:36:13Speaker 5: follow me. So the infield in now for the Reds,
- 1:36:17Speaker 5: and he's down there with less than two down. Now
- 1:36:19Speaker 5: we'll see if DeLauder can get him in. This has
- 1:36:21Speaker 5: really been a struggle point. Here's the 2-1. Swung on,
- 1:36:25Speaker 5: and it's driven to left. This will do it. Getting
- 1:36:27Speaker 5: back and making the catch is Friedel. Tagging, heading for
- 1:36:30Speaker 5: home is Ramirez. He scores, and we are tied at five.
- 1:36:36Speaker 5: How about that? That's part of what the offense has
- 1:36:40Speaker 5: been missing, that style of play from Ramirez. And DeLauder
- 1:36:44Speaker 5: with RBI number 51 got the job done on the
- 1:36:47Speaker 5: sack fly. So the game was tied at five, and
- 1:36:51Speaker 5: it stayed that way until the eighth inning. That's when
- 1:36:53Speaker 5: the Guardians would put together what proved to be the
- 1:36:56Speaker 5: game-winning rally as Chase DeLauder singled with one out, then
- 1:36:59Speaker 5: Travis Bozana singled. And that gave the Guardians an opportunity
- 1:37:04Speaker 5: with runners on the corners. And Brian Rocchio at the plate.
- 1:37:08Speaker 5: The 0-1 now to Rocchio. Infield partway in. He bumps
- 1:37:11Speaker 5: back towards the mound. Coming home with a go-ahead run
- 1:37:15Speaker 5: to Lauder. The throw goes to first to get Rocchio.
- 1:37:18Speaker 5: Bazana to second. And another perfectly executed safety squeeze by
- 1:37:25Speaker 5: Brian Rocchio between the mound and first. And he bunted it.
- 1:37:30Speaker 5: In a perfect spot that enabled DeLauder to score with
- 1:37:35Speaker 5: ease and get Brian Rocchio RBI number 50, 6-5 Cleveland.
- 1:37:41Speaker 5: But he was at play a lot, and it has
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: worked a lot. And in today's game, that proved to
- 1:37:47Speaker 5: be the decisive run as the Guardians win it by
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: that 6-5 final. But there was a great play to
- 1:37:53Speaker 5: end it in the ninth inning with a man aboard
- 1:37:56Speaker 5: for the Reds. J.J. Blede was at the plate facing
- 1:37:59Speaker 5: Cade Smith. The next pitch, swung on, line to right field.
- 1:38:03Speaker 5: Coming on, diving Martinez. He made the catch! Ball game!
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: A great diving catch in right field by Angel Martinez.
- 1:38:16Speaker 5: And Cleveland takes game one today on the banks of
- 1:38:20Speaker 5: the Ohio River, 6-5. And that's what the Guardians need,
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: some key hits and also some good defense, and they
- 1:38:29Speaker 5: got that today. plus that dominant bullpen as Smith finished
- 1:38:33Speaker 5: things up for the Guardians. The winning pitcher in relief
- 1:38:36Speaker 5: was Colin Holderman, now 6-2 on the season. Cade Smith
- 1:38:40Speaker 5: with his Major League Best save, number 30. and the
- 1:38:44Speaker 5: loss went to Sam Maul, who falls to 1-7 for
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: the Reds. The Guardians with six runs on nine hits
- 1:38:49Speaker 5: and no errors, five men left stranded. For the Reds,
- 1:38:53Speaker 5: five runs, 11 hits, one error, and seven men left
- 1:38:56Speaker 5: on base. Time of today's first game, 2 hours and
- 1:38:59Speaker 5: 55 minutes, and the paid crowd was 16,866 here at
- 1:39:06Speaker 5: Great American Ballpark.

- 1:41:16Speaker 5: afternoon in the day portion of this day-night doubleheader. A
- 1:41:20Speaker 5: 6-5 final score. Let's head downstairs and hear from manager
- 1:41:23Speaker 5: Steven Vogt.
- 1:41:24Speaker 1: The Manzardo at bat.
- 1:41:25Speaker 48: You've been in big league at bats, and it's easy
- 1:41:28Speaker 48: if you get called for a walk or whatever else
- 1:41:30Speaker 48: to reset yourself.
- 1:41:31Speaker 1: Just what did that tell you about where he was at? Yeah,
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: that was awesome.
- 1:41:34Speaker 49: I mean, obviously, we had Burns on the ropes there
- 1:41:36Speaker 49: in the first, and for Manzardo to come up with
- 1:41:37Speaker 49: two outs, he gets hit by the pitch. You could
- 1:41:39Speaker 49: hear the two, but then on replay, it didn't look
- 1:41:41Speaker 49: like it, so..
- 1:41:42Speaker 1: But it's hard to regroup.
- 1:41:43Speaker 49: You get hit in the hand and then you got
- 1:41:45Speaker 49: to get back in there and he got a hanger
- 1:41:46Speaker 49: and didn't miss it. So that was, that was huge.
- 1:41:48Speaker 49: We needed that in the worst kind of way. You
- 1:41:51Speaker 49: talked before the game about working a pitcher nowadays, how
- 1:41:53Speaker 49: different it is, but you guys did kind of do
- 1:41:55Speaker 49: that a little bit, did you not?
- 1:41:56Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:41:56Speaker 49: I thought, you know, Burns has really good stuff and
- 1:41:59Speaker 49: we made him work. We made him throw a lot
- 1:42:00Speaker 49: of pitches. I was really happy with the little chase
- 1:42:03Speaker 49: that we had down below the zone and And we
- 1:42:05Speaker 49: got some hits and we got some, you know, a
- 1:42:07Speaker 49: lot of traffic against them and got them out of
- 1:42:08Speaker 49: there through five.
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: So great job by the guys. What did you think
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: of Slade today? You know, I thought Slade came out
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: really good.
- 1:42:14Speaker 49: I thought the first few innings and then I thought
- 1:42:15Speaker 49: in the fourth kind of hit a little bit of
- 1:42:17Speaker 49: a wall. Just kind of the velo started to drop.
- 1:42:19Speaker 49: The stuff started to kind of tick off. So great
- 1:42:22Speaker 49: job by Timmy coming in, getting the ground ball to
- 1:42:24Speaker 49: get us out of the inning. And we didn't complete
- 1:42:25Speaker 49: the play. And, you know, they came back. But the
- 1:42:28Speaker 49: bullpen was outstanding today. Slade battled for as long as
- 1:42:32Speaker 49: he could, but the bullpen was unbelievable once again.
- 1:42:36Speaker 7: It seems like Cade's been sitting.
- 1:42:38Speaker 5: 99, 100 lately.
- 1:42:39Speaker 16: What have you seen from him in looking at due
- 1:42:42Speaker 16: to elevated stuff?
- 1:42:44Speaker 1: Cade's the hardest worker in the big leagues.
- 1:42:46Speaker 49: He keeps himself ready and he's had some rest this
- 1:42:48Speaker 49: last few weeks, which I don't know if that's a
- 1:42:50Speaker 49: good thing for us, but at the same time he's
- 1:42:53Speaker 49: had a.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: Couple periods of three days off.
- 1:42:56Speaker 49: We're seeing him carry his velocity a little higher, but Again,
- 1:42:58Speaker 49: he works tremendously hard to be ready every day, and
- 1:43:01Speaker 49: he's been outstanding.
- 1:43:02Speaker 40: What do you like about squeeze punts? Is that just
- 1:43:07Speaker 40: one of the more appealing things you can see when
- 1:43:10Speaker 40: it works?
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, obviously the safety squeeze is a great play.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: It's hard to defend, and it's hard to hit the
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: ball forward in the big leagues right now.
- 1:43:19Speaker 49: And so you get an opportunity to get a one-run
- 1:43:21Speaker 49: lead or you get an opportunity to pat on, you
- 1:43:23Speaker 49: want to take it. And when we have some very
- 1:43:25Speaker 49: skilled bunters and when you have the right runner at third,
- 1:43:27Speaker 49: It just makes sense, and Rokey did a phenomenal job
- 1:43:29Speaker 49: getting it down, and Chase got a good jump.
- 1:43:31Speaker 1: Jose looked like.
- 1:43:32Speaker 8: He just wanted to will himself for a run in
- 1:43:34Speaker 8: that situation.
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: Just how cool is it to.
- 1:43:36Speaker 5: See somebody produce that run?
- 1:43:37Speaker 49: You know, we're spoiled because we get to watch him
- 1:43:39Speaker 49: do that, but he legitimately said, I'm going to get
- 1:43:42Speaker 49: a run for us, and great swing by Chase to
- 1:43:44Speaker 49: drive him in, but for Jose, single, stolen base, stolen base,
- 1:43:48Speaker 49: all of a sudden we have a runner on third,
- 1:43:49Speaker 49: less than two outs, and he's done that a number
- 1:43:50Speaker 49: of times over the course of his career, but You
- 1:43:53Speaker 49: can just tell when he gets into I'm going to
- 1:43:55Speaker 49: produce a run mode and can't really stop him.
- 1:43:57Speaker 48: On the scorecard, most people are going to see a
- 1:43:59Speaker 48: couple number twos written down for Patrick Bailey. Can you
- 1:44:03Speaker 48: explain to people how hard? It's been a day game
- 1:44:06Speaker 48: to catch those two balls.
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: He had to catch?
- 1:44:07Speaker 49: It's a really hard play. I'm a little biased, obviously,
- 1:44:09Speaker 49: but there's a lot of spin. You don't see the
- 1:44:11Speaker 49: ball off the bat, so you have to pick it up.
- 1:44:13Speaker 49: You've got sun, you've got glare, you've got equipment, you've
- 1:44:15Speaker 49: got people in your way, and those are spinning a
- 1:44:18Speaker 49: lot when they're coming back down. So great job. A
- 1:44:22Speaker 49: lot of guys make it look easy. It is not,
- 1:44:24Speaker 49: and Patty made two really good plays there.
- 1:44:26Speaker 1: What's your view on how to catch them again?
- 1:44:29Speaker 49: I didn't see the ball off the bat because we
- 1:44:31Speaker 49: lost it in the rail of the dugout, but then
- 1:44:32Speaker 49: you see Angel running in, and I saw him get
- 1:44:35Speaker 49: the glove underneath it. Unbelievable play to end a game
- 1:44:38Speaker 49: that we desperately needed a win today, and good to
- 1:44:40Speaker 49: get the first one.
- 1:44:44Speaker 5: With the win, the Guardians snap a five-game losing skid.
- 1:44:47Speaker 5: They are now 55-53 on the season, and as they
- 1:44:50Speaker 5: head into play tonight, they'll be a game and a
- 1:44:52Speaker 5: half back of the front-running White Sox in the American
- 1:44:55Speaker 5: League's Central Division. The Reds remain at the bottom of
- 1:44:58Speaker 5: the NL's Central Division, at 49-56. The back end of
- 1:45:03Speaker 5: this day-night doubleheader, first pitch time, 7-10. We'll have it
- 1:45:07Speaker 5: for you starting with the warm-up show at 6-35. Until then,
- 1:45:12Speaker 5: for Dave Abbott, our on-site engineer here at Great American Ballpark,
- 1:45:15Speaker 5: and Brian Motze, back home in downtown Cleveland, and of course,
- 1:45:19Speaker 5: Tom Hamilton, this is Jim Rosenhouse reminding you, the final
- 1:45:23Speaker 5: score today, the Cleveland Guardians 6, the Cincinnati Reds 5.
- 1:45:28Speaker 5: Have a great afternoon, everyone. This is the Sean Hannity Show.
- 1:45:34Speaker 22: If you want to stop Putin and you want to
- 1:45:36Speaker 22: stop the territorial ambitions of Vladimir Putin right now, the
- 1:45:41Speaker 22: best thing you can do is supply the Ukrainians with
- 1:45:45Speaker 22: the weaponry that they're asking for, begging for, pleading for. Joe,
- 1:45:51Speaker 22: next time Poland wants to give them MiGs, shut up
- 1:45:54Speaker 22: and get out of the way and let Poland give
- 1:45:57Speaker 22: them the MiGs.
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: Hannity, weeknights at 7 p.m.
- 1:46:02Speaker 5: When I smoke weed, I get lost in the music.
- 1:46:05Speaker 5: I like to isolate each instrument.
- 1:46:08Speaker 2: The rhythmic bass, the harmonies on the piano, the sticky melody.
- 1:46:14Speaker 7: Hey.
- 1:46:14Speaker 36: Hey.
- 1:46:16Speaker 24: Hey.
- 1:46:17Speaker 5: Careful, babe.
- 1:46:18Speaker 28: There's someone crossing the street.
- 1:46:20Speaker 5: Sorry, I didn't see him there. If you feel different,
- 1:46:23Speaker 5: you drive different. Don't drive high.
- 1:46:26Speaker 41: It's dangerous and illegal everywhere.
- 1:46:28Speaker 5: A message from NHTSA and the Ad Council.
- 1:46:31Speaker 8: Hi, this is John Arnold Studios.
- 1:46:33Speaker 37: This is 570 WKBN Youngstown, an iHeartRadio station guaranteed human.
- 1:46:40Speaker 7: From ABC News, I'm Lindsay Davis, anchor of Prime Streaming
- 1:46:50Speaker 7: Week Nights on ABC News Live.
- 1:46:53Speaker 50: The late Senator Lindsey Graham remembered today at services that
- 1:46:56Speaker 50: began at the Capitol Rotunda and ended with his funeral
- 1:46:58Speaker 50: service at Washington National Cathedral. Family, fellow lawmakers, and dignitaries
- 1:47:04Speaker 50: honor the 71-year-old who served in both Congress and the military.
- 1:47:08Speaker 50: President Trump delivered the eulogy and says Graham became a
- 1:47:11Speaker 50: fierce ally and patriot.
- 1:47:12Speaker 45: For more than 30 years, nothing of consequence happened in
- 1:47:16Speaker 45: this Capitol without Lindsey Graham knowing about it. Nothing of
- 1:47:21Speaker 45: significance happened anywhere in the world without Lindsey Graham having
- 1:47:26Speaker 45: a view on it.
- 1:47:27Speaker 50: Graham was a staunch supporter of Ukraine and Israel.
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: Both leaders attended the funeral today.
- 1:47:31Speaker 50: President Trump met earlier with President Zelensky and Israel's Prime
- 1:47:35Speaker 50: Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It was the first meeting with Netanyahu
- 1:47:38Speaker 50: since the start of the war with Iran five months ago.
- 1:47:40Speaker 51: The president had separate meetings with Ukraine's President Zelensky and
- 1:47:44Speaker 51: Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, but did not bring in reporters
- 1:47:47Speaker 51: for statements or for questions. We heard from Zelensky after
- 1:47:52Speaker 51: the meeting. He posted a statement on social media.
- 1:47:54Speaker 39: He said it was a good meeting.
- 1:47:56Speaker 51: He said that he and the president talked about the
- 1:47:58Speaker 51: plans for the United States to help Ukraine make their
- 1:48:01Speaker 51: own Patriot air defense systems.
- 1:48:03Speaker 2: ABC's Karen Travers.
- 1:48:04Speaker 50: Dangerous wildfires have triggered more evacuations in Spain and France.
- 1:48:08Speaker 50: ABC's Marcus Moore is near Madrid.
- 1:48:10Speaker 52: This is really an unprecedented moment for people here in Spain.
- 1:48:16Speaker 52: Officials saying the Ávila fire, which has been burning west
- 1:48:19Speaker 52: of Madrid, is the largest fire ever recorded here in
- 1:48:23Speaker 52: the country. We're talking about more than 135,000 acres of
- 1:48:28Speaker 52: have burned at the start of this week.

- 1:49:53Speaker 39: A faith leader in Springfield, Ohio, says the Haitian community
- 1:49:56Speaker 39: there is terrified now that the temporary protected status, or TPS,
- 1:50:00Speaker 39: has expired. It follows a Supreme Court ruling allowing TPS
- 1:50:04Speaker 39: for Haiti and Syria to end. The Trump administration could
- 1:50:07Speaker 39: potentially deport hundreds of thousands of people who have been

- 1:50:13Speaker 39: Pastor Carl Ruby of Central Christian Church says those affected

- 1:50:19Speaker 39: the process is costly and not accessible to everyone.
- 1:50:21Speaker 46: We are asking everyone to apply for asylum. Because if
- 1:50:26Speaker 46: a person has an asylum pending case, it at least
- 1:50:31Speaker 46: slows down the process.
- 1:50:33Speaker 39: eBay agreeing to a multi-million dollar settlement after some eBay
- 1:50:36Speaker 39: employees were found to have harassed and stalked a Massachusetts couple.
- 1:50:40Speaker 55: eBay and some of the company's former executives have agreed
- 1:50:42Speaker 55: to pay out $ 56 million to Ina and David Steiner.
- 1:50:47Speaker 55: It comes almost seven years after several eBay employees attempted
- 1:50:51Speaker 55: to track the couple's movements, even sending them threatening packages
- 1:50:55Speaker 55: like a funeral wreath and a box of spiders. It
- 1:50:57Speaker 55: all goes back to critical things the Steiners had written
- 1:51:00Speaker 55: about the company in their self-published newsletter, e-commerce bites. In
- 1:51:04Speaker 55: a statement, eBay says the incident was wrong, reprehensible, and
- 1:51:07Speaker 55: should never have happened.
- 1:51:09Speaker 39: ABC's Mike Dabusky, Michelle Franzen, ABC News.
- 1:51:14Speaker 5: A to Z.
- 1:51:15Speaker 29: Now, Ron Verb on NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 1:51:20Speaker 14: Well, you could say this. What a game we had
- 1:51:23Speaker 14: this afternoon, huh? What a terrific game, and luckily, luckily,
- 1:51:28Speaker 14: on the winning side of it, the Guardians pick up
- 1:51:30Speaker 14: a victory today. Long needed, I might add, and so welcome,
- 1:51:34Speaker 14: to say the least, but a nice victory from the
- 1:51:36Speaker 14: Guardians here on the first of a doubleheader due to
- 1:51:40Speaker 14: the rain delay yesterday. So, consequently, we had a, what,
- 1:51:44Speaker 14: 6-5 win over those Cincinnati Reds.
- 1:51:47Speaker 5: That's the good news.
- 1:51:48Speaker 14: And next game, about 7.05, 6.30 pregame here on NewsRadio
- 1:51:53Speaker 14: 570 WQEN. So more Guardians baseball coming up. But heck
- 1:51:59Speaker 14: of a game, man. I mean, when you're looking at that,
- 1:52:01Speaker 14: long game too. Long, long game today because you had
- 1:52:04Speaker 14: so much hitting that's going on. Which is interesting, if
- 1:52:07Speaker 14: you follow the Guardians the other day, The other day
- 1:52:11Speaker 14: was a low-scoring game. And when you get into these
- 1:52:13Speaker 14: low-scoring games, I mean, they go by so quickly. It's incredible.
- 1:52:19Speaker 14: And it was going by very quickly. Let me flash
- 1:52:21Speaker 14: back to– what day was that?
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: Monday, right?
- 1:52:27Speaker 14: Was it– I got to mull it over. Was it– no,
- 1:52:34Speaker 14: let's see. One of the days– what was I– No,
- 1:52:41Speaker 14: it was Thursday, last Thursday. It was a quick-moving game.
- 1:52:46Speaker 14: So if you go back to Thursday, it was a
- 1:52:48Speaker 14: quick-moving game with almost no score at all. It was
- 1:52:53Speaker 14: a one-to-nothing game for most of it. So for the
- 1:52:56Speaker 14: most part, you had batters up and down. I mean,
- 1:52:59Speaker 14: three up, three strikeouts. So the game was moving really fast.
- 1:53:03Speaker 14: This is going back to last Thursday's game. And I mean,
- 1:53:08Speaker 14: it would have been over in a blink of an eye,
- 1:53:09Speaker 14: that game, if it wasn't for the fact that it
- 1:53:13Speaker 14: ended up being tied. Late in the game, they tied
- 1:53:18Speaker 14: the game up at 1-1. And then it went into overtime.
- 1:53:22Speaker 14: Extra innings, I think it was like 13 innings or
- 1:53:25Speaker 14: so before it ended. But if they didn't tie it up,
- 1:53:28Speaker 14: the game would have been over in no time. Because
- 1:53:30Speaker 14: when you get into these low-scoring games, like I say,
- 1:53:32Speaker 14: and there's plenty of strikeouts and there's not a lot
- 1:53:35Speaker 14: of scores going on, the games go by really, really fast.
- 1:53:38Speaker 14: But that game on Thursday looked like it was going
- 1:53:40Speaker 14: to be the case until it went in extra innings.
- 1:53:43Speaker 14: And today's game... I mean, just an exciting game to
- 1:53:46Speaker 14: say the least. I mean, with a 6-5 final was
- 1:53:50Speaker 14: just an exciting game. It's part of what makes summertime
- 1:53:54Speaker 14: special right here in our neck of the woods. Listen
- 1:53:56Speaker 14: to Tom Hamilton and Rosie in those afternoon games. Anyway,
- 1:53:59Speaker 14: good afternoon. Ron Furb will be with you until 6 tonight.
- 1:54:01Speaker 14: News Radio 570 WKBN. Then round two happens tonight. 6.30
- 1:54:07Speaker 14: is the pregame as far as the Guardians are concerned.
- 1:54:11Speaker 14: A little after 7 o'clock, first pitch, round two. Enough
- 1:54:15Speaker 14: time for those guys to go in and have some
- 1:54:17Speaker 14: dinner or have some lunch or get a pep talk
- 1:54:20Speaker 14: or whatever and get back out on the field. On
- 1:54:23Speaker 14: what is a glorious day, incidentally. Perfect day, 78 degrees.
- 1:54:26Speaker 14: All right, enough said. Top secret number as always, 330-729-9977. 330-729-9977.
- 1:54:29Speaker 14: If you'd like to pick up the phone and give
- 1:54:30Speaker 14: us a call, we encourage you to do so. Here's
- 1:54:41Speaker 14: the update that I want to pass along to you.
- 1:54:45Speaker 5: The U.S.
- 1:54:46Speaker 14: Strategic Petroleum Reserve is under strain as massive stockpile releases
- 1:54:55Speaker 14: in response to wars in the Middle East and Europe
- 1:54:58Speaker 14: have stressed old infrastructure in need of repair. The SPR,
- 1:55:02Speaker 14: that's short for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, this week fell
- 1:55:06Speaker 14: to its lowest level since March 1983.
- 1:55:11Speaker 5: After the U.S.
- 1:55:11Speaker 14: Withdrew 352 million barrels of crude oil in four years
- 1:55:18Speaker 14: to ease supply disruptions triggered by its war with Iran
- 1:55:22Speaker 14: and Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Federal auditors have found that
- 1:55:27Speaker 14: the Strategic Petroleum Reserve's ability to respond to future emergencies
- 1:55:32Speaker 14: is at risk. They may report, quoted to the Department
- 1:55:36Speaker 14: of Energy officials, telling auditors that the Reserve's web of pipelines— caverns,
- 1:55:42Speaker 14: and storage tanks is held together with Band-Aids, and it
- 1:55:46Speaker 14: is uncertain how long they will hold.
- 1:55:50Speaker 5: What's that mean?
- 1:55:51Speaker 14: The SBR's drawdown distribution and fill capabilities are currently limited
- 1:55:59Speaker 14: and are at risk of going forward due to longstanding
- 1:56:02Speaker 14: issues with aging infrastructures, compounding with ongoing major constructions intended
- 1:56:09Speaker 14: to address them. Did you know the Strategic Petroleum Reserves
- 1:56:14Speaker 14: was established in 1975 after a 1973 Arab oil embargo?
- 1:56:21Speaker 14: SPR infrastructure is reaching the end of its life at
- 1:56:25Speaker 14: a time when inventory releases are larger and more frequent.
- 1:56:32Speaker 14: The Energy Department is implementing a $ 1. 4 billion plan to
- 1:56:38Speaker 14: repair the SPR but at no cost. but had to
- 1:56:42Speaker 14: narrow the scope of the project to stay within budget.
- 1:56:47Speaker 5: Let's see.
- 1:56:47Speaker 14: President Trump in March ordered the release of 172 million
- 1:56:50Speaker 14: barrels from the SBR as Iran choked off oil exports
- 1:56:56Speaker 14: through the strait, triggering the largest supply disruption in history.
- 1:57:02Speaker 14: Government inventories fell last week by 3.7 million barrels to
- 1:57:04Speaker 14: a total of about 308 million barrels. The SBR will
- 1:57:10Speaker 14: fall to about 243 million barrels when Trump's release is
- 1:57:15Speaker 14: fully executed, according to data from the Energy Information Administration.
- 1:57:19Speaker 14: The emergency stockpile has an authorized storage capacity of 714
- 1:57:24Speaker 14: million barrels. So they say you're going to go from, what,
- 1:57:28Speaker 14: 714 million barrels down to 243. So they've been drawing
- 1:57:34Speaker 14: a lot of stuff out of that reserve. The federal
- 1:57:41Speaker 14: auditors found that more than a quarter of the SBR
- 1:57:44Speaker 14: was not available for drawdown due to a combination of
- 1:57:49Speaker 14: construction outages and cavern outages.
- 1:57:53Speaker 5: This implies that.
- 1:57:54Speaker 14: A minimum of 103 million barrels in the SBR today
- 1:57:58Speaker 14: are not deployable. The SBR has enough inventory left right
- 1:58:04Speaker 14: now to address another crisis, said the State Department's Special
- 1:58:09Speaker 14: Envoy for International Energy Affairs. I'm not worried about the
- 1:58:13Speaker 14: stability of the reserve or ability to do another drawdown.
- 1:58:18Speaker 14: Federal law does not mandate a minimum operating level for
- 1:58:20Speaker 14: the SBR.
- 1:58:22Speaker 5: But there you go, man. So just stuff you should know.
- 1:58:28Speaker 5: The crude oil in the SBR is stored at $ 60.
- 1:58:31Speaker 14: Salt caverns, thousands of feet underground at four major sites
- 1:58:36Speaker 14: on the Gulf Coast. Water is pumped into the bottom
- 1:58:39Speaker 14: of the caverns to displace the oil to the surface
- 1:58:44Speaker 14: and pump it through wells in the pipelines. The drawdown
- 1:58:48Speaker 14: this year came as inventories were slowly recovering from Russia's
- 1:58:52Speaker 14: invasion of Ukraine. President Joe Biden ordered 180 million barrels
- 1:58:56Speaker 14: released in response to the war in Europe, the largest
- 1:58:59Speaker 14: release in the SBR's history. The massive drawdown served as
- 1:59:03Speaker 14: an unplanned stress test of the SBR's operational capabilities. Every
- 1:59:08Speaker 14: time when you do a drawdown, you accelerate the degradation
- 1:59:13Speaker 14: of the wells themselves and some of the equipment. It's
- 1:59:16Speaker 14: like anything else. You use it a lot, you've got
- 1:59:19Speaker 14: to maintain it. On this Biden release, without major equipment
- 1:59:24Speaker 14: failures or crude oil spills, but doing so operationally challenged
- 1:59:30Speaker 14: the system. The drawdowns do not require the triggering of
- 1:59:36Speaker 14: emergency repairs due to leaking water pipes or pipes. So
- 1:59:42Speaker 14: they did require, I should say, the triggering of emergency
- 1:59:45Speaker 14: repairs due to leaking water pipes or pipes.
- 1:59:50Speaker 1: Hmm.
- 1:59:51Speaker 5: That's interesting. I mean, so there you go. So when
- 1:59:54Speaker 5: they talk about.
- 1:59:54Speaker 14: The strategic oil reserve and all these barrels of oil,
- 1:59:58Speaker 14: it doesn't sound like they're actually barrels of oil. It
- 2:00:02Speaker 14: sounds like they just What, fill that salt cavern? I
- 2:00:05Speaker 14: don't know.
- 2:00:06Speaker 5: Maybe I'm wrong. You're on the air.
- 2:00:08Speaker 56: Yeah, Ron, that makes sense. You pump the oil or
- 2:00:12Speaker 56: water down into the caverns to raise the oil. Have
- 2:00:16Speaker 56: you ever had vinegar and oil salad dressing? The oil
- 2:00:20Speaker 56: always rises to the top.
- 2:00:23Speaker 5: Isn't it interesting? Here's what I thought. Now, it's just odd.
- 2:00:27Speaker 14: When they talk about the strategic oil reserves and they
- 2:00:29Speaker 14: talk about how many barrels, I pictured in my mind
- 2:00:33Speaker 14: someplace where you had those big 55-gallon drum barrels full
- 2:00:36Speaker 14: of oil.
- 2:00:37Speaker 5: That's what I pictured in my mind. Seriously. And apparently
- 2:00:40Speaker 5: that's not the case.
- 2:00:41Speaker 57: No, it's in the earth.
- 2:00:42Speaker 56: The caverns down deep in the earth.
- 2:00:43Speaker 5: Yeah, they're these salt mines. So what? They just fill
- 2:00:47Speaker 5: it with oil and they have all this piping in there.
- 2:00:50Speaker 14: Right.
- 2:00:51Speaker 56: And the oil displaces the bottom of the caverns to
- 2:00:55Speaker 56: rise the oil, just like a vinegar and oil salad dressing.
- 2:01:02Speaker 56: Before you shake it, The olive oil is always on
- 2:01:05Speaker 56: the top, and the vinegar is always on the bottom.
- 2:01:08Speaker 14: You're almost like a scientist here today.
- 2:01:12Speaker 24: I am.
- 2:01:12Speaker 5: I am. It's amazing.
- 2:01:14Speaker 14: So this is a whole new picture for me. So basically,
- 2:01:19Speaker 14: they just fill these salt caverns on the Gulf Coast.
- 2:01:22Speaker 14: They just pump oil into them, and it sits there.
- 2:01:26Speaker 14: And when they need it, they pump water into the bottom,
- 2:01:29Speaker 14: brings the oil up to the pipeline, and they pump
- 2:01:32Speaker 14: the oil out of there.
- 2:01:33Speaker 5: There are no barrels.
- 2:01:34Speaker 56: Ron, you're a genius.
- 2:01:36Speaker 5: There are no barrels.
- 2:01:37Speaker 14: I feel like I'm deceived when they say, how do
- 2:01:39Speaker 14: they know that there's only 173 million barrels left?
- 2:01:43Speaker 5: They're not in barrels. They're guessing.
- 2:01:46Speaker 14: I know.
- 2:01:46Speaker 56: So in between this new kind of doubleheader, so you're
- 2:01:52Speaker 56: down in the stadium sweeping out the peanut shells for
- 2:01:55Speaker 56: the next people to come in to pay their ticket.
- 2:01:59Speaker 56: You know, I remember the days. We would go buy
- 2:02:01Speaker 56: one ticket and we'd see two games if we had
- 2:02:04Speaker 56: the stamina to watch two games. But that was the day. Doubleheader,
- 2:02:09Speaker 56: one ticket, two games.
- 2:02:11Speaker 14: Let me ask you a serious question. I think, in
- 2:02:14Speaker 14: my opinion... They want baseball to move along too quickly.
- 2:02:19Speaker 14: Baseball is kind of a long, lazy type of game.
- 2:02:23Speaker 14: And this idea puts the ghost runner on base and
- 2:02:25Speaker 14: this kind of stuff.
- 2:02:27Speaker 5: I'm not crazy about that stuff. Are you? No.
- 2:02:31Speaker 14: Go back to the original way baseball was meant to
- 2:02:34Speaker 14: be played. And if it goes 17 innings or 18 innings,
- 2:02:38Speaker 14: so be it. But they want to do this ghost
- 2:02:41Speaker 14: runner stuff and it's like... You guys are ruining the
- 2:02:44Speaker 14: game because you think the game runs too long and
- 2:02:47Speaker 14: you want to.
- 2:02:47Speaker 5: Move it along. No.
- 2:02:49Speaker 56: And the umpires, we have umpires for a reason. They
- 2:02:52Speaker 56: control the game. They call the game. They call the
- 2:02:56Speaker 56: balls and strikes, the safer outs, whatever. They're in charge.
- 2:03:01Speaker 56: Whether you like it or not, that's it. And sometimes
- 2:03:06Speaker 56: you don't get a good call quite right, but don't
- 2:03:10Speaker 56: take 10 minutes to review the video to see was
- 2:03:16Speaker 56: it really out or was it really a ball?
- 2:03:21Speaker 14: I like the ability to challenge was it a ball
- 2:03:23Speaker 14: or a strike that you can do that. And how often,
- 2:03:28Speaker 14: I'm surprised how often the umpire got it wrong. So, no,
- 2:03:32Speaker 14: I don't mind that.
- 2:03:33Speaker 56: It's stupid. I miss the good old days when Weaver
- 2:03:38Speaker 56: from the Baltimore Orioles would come out there and kick
- 2:03:41Speaker 56: dirt on the umpire's shoes, you know.
- 2:03:43Speaker 5: Billy Martin. Billy Martin.
- 2:03:45Speaker 56: And Billy Martin, too.
- 2:03:47Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:03:48Speaker 56: All those guys. It was drama. That was baseball.
- 2:03:52Speaker 12: Drama.
- 2:03:53Speaker 56: Just like life.
- 2:03:54Speaker 12: It's drama.
- 2:03:55Speaker 5: Ask any woman.
- 2:03:57Speaker 56: Women love drama. But anyhow, I got a cool story
- 2:04:00Speaker 56: to fill in this void while you're sweeping those peanut shells.
- 2:04:07Speaker 56: I have connected with New Jersey Laird. The oldest distillery
- 2:04:14Speaker 56: on this land before the Revolutionary War. George Washington wrote
- 2:04:21Speaker 56: to Laird Distillery to get the recipe so he could
- 2:04:25Speaker 56: make his own Apple Jack brandy.
- 2:04:28Speaker 5: All right. So what's the point of your story?
- 2:04:30Speaker 56: Wait a minute. The tie into this, I worked for
- 2:04:33Speaker 56: Laird Lumber Company in Northeast Ohio.
- 2:04:36Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 2:04:37Speaker 5: That's it?
- 2:04:38Speaker 56: So I bought a whole case of Laird. Apple Jack Brandy,
- 2:04:45Speaker 56: but they sent Laird Apple Jack Blend, which is a whiskey.
- 2:04:51Speaker 56: It's much more powerful, but I'm going to keep it.
- 2:04:53Speaker 56: But I wrote to the people because they were interviewed
- 2:04:56Speaker 56: on Marie Bartiromo's show because of small businesses, family-run businesses.
- 2:05:03Speaker 56: This is the oldest... Family-run business on this land. Laird Company.
- 2:05:08Speaker 5: This is your story? This is it? So you ordered
- 2:05:12Speaker 5: some booze, and that was it? No, but I worked for.
- 2:05:13Speaker 56: Laird Lumber Company.
- 2:05:15Speaker 14: Okay.
- 2:05:15Speaker 56: I think there's a connection.
- 2:05:16Speaker 5: I don't think so.
- 2:05:17Speaker 56: Laird Lumber Company built divisions in the ore and coal boats.
- 2:05:21Speaker 14: There isn't a connection. Have you been drinking the liquor?
- 2:05:24Speaker 14: Have you been slugging that liquor down? I think you're
- 2:05:27Speaker 14: drinking it heavily.
- 2:05:28Speaker 7: No, no.
- 2:05:28Speaker 56: No, I'm sorry.
- 2:05:30Speaker 5: I'm serious.
- 2:05:30Speaker 56: But it's a cool story. And it was all because
- 2:05:33Speaker 56: of Marie Bartiromo's show.
- 2:05:35Speaker 14: All right.
- 2:05:35Speaker 5: I've had enough.
- 2:05:36Speaker 14: I can't take it anymore. I feel like I just
- 2:05:39Speaker 14: got dumber during that entire call. I don't know why,
- 2:05:42Speaker 14: but you're on the air.
- 2:05:42Speaker 57: Hey, Ron, how you doing, man?
- 2:05:47Speaker 5: I'm okay. Go ahead, sir.
- 2:05:49Speaker 57: Hey, Ron, let me ask you a question, man.
- 2:05:52Speaker 5: Yes, sir.
- 2:05:54Speaker 57: I voted for Trump three times.
- 2:05:56Speaker 5: Yes, sir.
- 2:05:57Speaker 57: I'm a Trump supporter. But I got to tell you something.
- 2:06:01Speaker 12: I'm not real happy what's going on right now. Yes, sir.
- 2:06:06Speaker 57: What do you think? Why are we not opening up
- 2:06:13Speaker 57: the straight? What's the hidden agenda? Is it he doesn't
- 2:06:16Speaker 57: want to put boots on the ground? What is your
- 2:06:19Speaker 57: opinion on that?
- 2:06:20Speaker 14: Well, it isn't about us opening up the strait. It's Iran,
- 2:06:24Speaker 14: who's got the location there by the straits, is the
- 2:06:29Speaker 14: ones who are closing the straits. We can't really open
- 2:06:32Speaker 14: it up. We didn't close it down. They closed it down.
- 2:06:37Speaker 14: And it's not like you've hit a light switch and
- 2:06:40Speaker 14: you can open it back up. If you look at
- 2:06:43Speaker 14: the geography, they're located there. So they have control over
- 2:06:48Speaker 14: that area. and they can close it down and that's
- 2:06:50Speaker 14: what they're doing. I mean, and that's, that's what they've
- 2:06:53Speaker 14: done now. Well, you're saying to me, what, what, why
- 2:06:55Speaker 14: doesn't Trump do more? Well, I don't think the country
- 2:06:58Speaker 14: wants boots on the ground. Stand by for a second caller.
- 2:07:00Speaker 14: Just stand by.
- 2:07:01Speaker 5: I'll let you continue your thoughts. Interesting caller. Interesting question.
- 2:07:05Speaker 5: Back in a minute. Stay tuned. If you run a business,
- 2:07:11Speaker 5: you know, KBN.
- 2:07:13Speaker 14: So basically you want to know why, why, what Trump
- 2:07:16Speaker 14: is being, Trump is a more aggressive person.
- 2:07:19Speaker 57: Well, you know, we hear these reports that we're running
- 2:07:22Speaker 57: out of ammunition. I don't know what to believe. I'm
- 2:07:26Speaker 57: just saying that it's just not looking good. I own
- 2:07:30Speaker 57: a company here in Youngstown, a service company, and summer
- 2:07:35Speaker 57: is where we make our money. I'm just telling you
- 2:07:38Speaker 57: that they could tell me the economy's good, but people
- 2:07:41Speaker 57: are not spending money, Ron.
- 2:07:43Speaker 12: I'm usually a month booked.
- 2:07:45Speaker 57: I'm filling in weeks at a time. And I'm feeling it.
- 2:07:50Speaker 12: And I'm just saying, I voted for Trump.
- 2:07:54Speaker 57: I'm behind him, but it's not looking good. I just
- 2:07:58Speaker 57: wish that he either... got a crap or get off
- 2:08:01Speaker 57: the pot is what I'm saying. Do we have enough
- 2:08:03Speaker 57: ammunition to do it? We need to forcibly go take
- 2:08:06Speaker 57: it over and open this straight.
- 2:08:10Speaker 5: Well, I hear what you're saying. I think that's easier
- 2:08:13Speaker 5: said than done.
- 2:08:15Speaker 14: I mean, I think that's easy to say that, but
- 2:08:17Speaker 14: it's difficult to accomplish that.
- 2:08:20Speaker 57: So we're in the middle of a nightmare kind of
- 2:08:25Speaker 57: with this war.
- 2:08:25Speaker 5: Yes, yes.
- 2:08:26Speaker 57: We either got to go fully forward or we got
- 2:08:30Speaker 57: to get out. There's no middle ground. You can't negotiate
- 2:08:34Speaker 57: with these wackos. And he keeps saying we're going to negotiate.
- 2:08:38Speaker 57: That just buys them time to do what they want
- 2:08:41Speaker 57: to do. I'm just telling you, it doesn't look good
- 2:08:45Speaker 57: for our economy.
- 2:08:47Speaker 5: And you're living it firsthand.
- 2:08:49Speaker 14: You're basically saying, well, when you take a look at
- 2:08:51Speaker 14: this inflation, let me ask you this, based on it,
- 2:08:54Speaker 14: we know that electricity costs have doubled.
- 2:08:56Speaker 5: The cost of electricity has doubled.
- 2:08:57Speaker 14: We know gas is at, what, $ 4 a gallon, sometimes $ 3. 75,
- 2:09:01Speaker 14: depending on where you are. But gas has gone back
- 2:09:04Speaker 14: up close to $ 4 a gallon. Insurance has doubled. The
- 2:09:08Speaker 14: cost of a house has gone up. Groceries have gone up.
- 2:09:11Speaker 14: Everywhere you turn, everything you look at has gone up.
- 2:09:15Speaker 14: Property taxes, huge increases everywhere you go. Do you think
- 2:09:18Speaker 14: it's just a case of people are running out of money,
- 2:09:20Speaker 14: that they don't have extra income to perhaps take advantage
- 2:09:25Speaker 14: of the service you provide? And they say, well, we'll
- 2:09:27Speaker 14: just do or whatever. Do you think that might be
- 2:09:29Speaker 14: the cause of it?
- 2:09:31Speaker 12: I think that's a great point, Ron.
- 2:09:33Speaker 57: But when I go back two years ago, when Biden
- 2:09:35Speaker 57: was the president, I was still a month booked. Even
- 2:09:40Speaker 57: with his inflation and his absolute craziness as a president,
- 2:09:45Speaker 57: I was still booked and people were spending. I think
- 2:09:49Speaker 57: people have the money. Maybe you're right. I agree with you.
- 2:09:53Speaker 57: But if they do have the money, I think they're
- 2:09:55Speaker 57: holding on to see how this war ends. And what
- 2:09:59Speaker 57: our future holds.
- 2:10:00Speaker 14: Well, the only thing I would do is I would
- 2:10:03Speaker 14: counter that by saying I don't think people have the money.
- 2:10:06Speaker 14: I don't think you can double the cost of electricity.
- 2:10:09Speaker 14: You can have $ 4 gas. You can have double-digit increases
- 2:10:13Speaker 14: in necessities, whether that's food or insurance. the cost of
- 2:10:17Speaker 14: a house or all the stuff that you need, natural gas,
- 2:10:20Speaker 14: everything costs way more. And I don't know anybody whose
- 2:10:24Speaker 14: income has kept pace with that inflation. I don't know
- 2:10:27Speaker 14: anybody who's been able to say their pay has not
- 2:10:31Speaker 14: kept pace with it.
- 2:10:32Speaker 5: So I would say..
- 2:10:33Speaker 12: Yeah, you might, yeah.
- 2:10:35Speaker 5: I would say..
- 2:10:35Speaker 12: You might be right.
- 2:10:36Speaker 57: I mean, because when things are passed on to us,
- 2:10:38Speaker 57: when our suppliers and wholesalers pass... When we get material markups,
- 2:10:43Speaker 57: that's got to go to the consumer, unfortunately.
- 2:10:46Speaker 12: Yes.
- 2:10:47Speaker 57: So we've had over– we're close to probably 40% material
- 2:10:52Speaker 57: markup in the last three years, Ron.
- 2:10:55Speaker 12: Forty percent.
- 2:10:56Speaker 5: What type of products? Like vinyl siding or what type of.
- 2:11:00Speaker 57: No, I own a local HVAC company.
- 2:11:03Speaker 5: Okay, yeah. Oh, you're right, yeah.
- 2:11:05Speaker 14: Yeah, Dieter has told me that the increase of furnaces
- 2:11:09Speaker 14: and air conditioning has gone through the roof.
- 2:11:11Speaker 5: It's ridiculous, yeah.
- 2:11:13Speaker 57: And unfortunately, you've got to pass, just like the gas,
- 2:11:16Speaker 57: we've got to charge a surcharge on service calls now.
- 2:11:20Speaker 12: When it's over like $ 4 or $ 4.
- 2:11:22Speaker 57: 50, that's when I impose that.
- 2:11:24Speaker 30: Yeah.
- 2:11:25Speaker 57: It's just, I'm just kind of a nervous wreck a
- 2:11:28Speaker 57: little bit. And I just hope and pray that we
- 2:11:33Speaker 57: just get out of this mess. Because have you heard
- 2:11:36Speaker 57: anything about us running out of ammunition? Are we supposed
- 2:11:39Speaker 57: to believe this or not?
- 2:11:41Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 2:11:42Speaker 14: I hear that we're low on supplies. some of our
- 2:11:47Speaker 14: missiles and things, but that's what I hear. I have
- 2:11:51Speaker 14: no idea of knowing for certain, but I would suspect
- 2:11:54Speaker 14: there's truth to that because we've been using so much
- 2:11:56Speaker 14: of it. I would suspect there's a lot of truth
- 2:11:58Speaker 14: to that. But I'm more concerned with how low the
- 2:12:02Speaker 14: oil reserves are. That's what concerns me because that can
- 2:12:05Speaker 14: change things overnight but i'll tell you this much the
- 2:12:08Speaker 14: government has made a lot of stupid rules in your
- 2:12:10Speaker 14: business where they keep changing the freon that they put
- 2:12:13Speaker 14: in and keep charging you more and the new systems
- 2:12:16Speaker 14: are under such high pressure i think they'll like stand.
- 2:12:19Speaker 5: By for a minute hang in there for a minute
- 2:12:20Speaker 5: i want to talk more to him in a minute.
- 2:12:24Speaker 58: With the NCAA now allowing schools to sell the two
- 2:12:26Speaker 58: commercial logos on their apparel, Ohio State University Athletics announcing
- 2:12:29Speaker 58: today a new sponsorship with JPMorgan Chase, which OSU says
- 2:12:32Speaker 58: will enhance NIL opportunities and enhance the fan experience. A
- 2:12:36Speaker 58: patch featuring the Chase logo will be on the uniforms
- 2:12:38Speaker 58: of all 36 men's and women's varsity sports programs. In
- 2:12:42Speaker 58: northwest Ohio, Tiffin Police investigating several reports of checks written
- 2:12:45Speaker 58: to pay water bills being stolen from public mailboxes, which
- 2:12:48Speaker 58: were then altered and changed to higher amounts, impacting seven residents.
- 2:12:52Speaker 58: Investigators believe the thefts happened outside their jurisdiction. Police say
- 2:12:56Speaker 58: if residents plan to mail a check, they should do
- 2:12:58Speaker 58: so by dropping it off inside their local post office. FlexJet,
- 2:13:01Speaker 58: a private air travel company based out of the Cuyahoga
- 2:13:03Speaker 58: County Airport, is planning to expand, building a new office,
- 2:13:06Speaker 58: a new hangar, along with expanding its maintenance and repair
- 2:13:09Speaker 58: facilities in Richmond Heights, creating close to 1,000 new jobs
- 2:13:11Speaker 58: by 2031.
- 2:13:13Speaker 5: I'm Sean Gallagher.

- 2:13:18Speaker 29: and sports radio.
- 2:13:19Speaker 5: Podcast 2.
- 2:13:20Speaker 1: Download the app.
- 2:13:22Speaker 29: Free never sounded so good. From the 8, Ron Verb.
- 2:13:26Speaker 29: On NewsRadio 570, WKBN. All right, I'm back at it.
- 2:13:31Speaker 29: NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 2:13:33Speaker 14: It's 535, and it's good to be with you on
- 2:13:36Speaker 14: NewsRadio 570, WKBN. I lost my connection to the HVAC guy.
- 2:13:43Speaker 14: But I was going to tell them the government keeps
- 2:13:46Speaker 14: making these regulations, changing the coolant that you got to
- 2:13:49Speaker 14: put in your air conditioning system. So making it very
- 2:13:53Speaker 14: expensive to repair your existing system because they want you
- 2:13:58Speaker 14: to get a new one with the new coolants. And
- 2:14:02Speaker 14: they just keep changing it all the time, constantly making
- 2:14:06Speaker 14: it difficult because they charge you so much to redo it. Now,
- 2:14:10Speaker 14: these new systems, as I understand it, With this new
- 2:14:13Speaker 14: coolant that they have in it, it's under a lot
- 2:14:16Speaker 14: more pressure than the.
- 2:14:17Speaker 5: Old systems are.
- 2:14:18Speaker 14: So I would think the more pressure, the more prone
- 2:14:21Speaker 14: they would be to spring in a leak as time
- 2:14:24Speaker 14: goes on.
- 2:14:25Speaker 5: Just my thoughts. Hello?
- 2:14:29Speaker 12: Good evening, Ron. How are you?
- 2:14:31Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen, that sounds like it's the voice of G2.
- 2:14:36Speaker 12: Deep in the bunker.
- 2:14:37Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 2:14:38Speaker 14: How do you answer that guy that says, you know,
- 2:14:40Speaker 14: he's in the HVAC business. He says, I can tell
- 2:14:43Speaker 14: you right now, people aren't spending as much. He's affected
- 2:14:46Speaker 14: by the economy. And he voted for Trump, and he's discouraged,
- 2:14:52Speaker 14: he said. He didn't have the slowdown even under Biden,
- 2:14:54Speaker 14: he said. But right now, things are not as good.
- 2:14:58Speaker 14: And I try to tell him it has to do
- 2:15:00Speaker 14: with inflation. People don't have as much money. And all
- 2:15:03Speaker 14: of his expenses, he said, his stuff has gone up 40%.
- 2:15:06Speaker 14: The cost of a new furnace and air conditioning system
- 2:15:09Speaker 14: has gone up 40%.
- 2:15:11Speaker 5: And I told him, what are your thoughts? What do
- 2:15:13Speaker 5: you say to the guy?
- 2:15:15Speaker 12: Well, I think what you're talking about is what we
- 2:15:17Speaker 12: were trying to get through yesterday. And I did listen
- 2:15:20Speaker 12: to the rest of the show last evening, so I
- 2:15:21Speaker 12: heard Frank's comments. So I'll go real slow so Frank
- 2:15:25Speaker 12: can keep up, because he clearly has no idea what
- 2:15:27Speaker 12: he's talking about. So here's what I think. You just
- 2:15:32Speaker 12: walked through one of the perfect examples of regulatory-driven inflation.
- 2:15:36Speaker 12: where these HVAC systems are being changed for no market reason,
- 2:15:41Speaker 12: no practical purpose. It's just the endless bureaucracy that constantly
- 2:15:45Speaker 12: cranks out these regulations and the legislature, state and federal,
- 2:15:49Speaker 12: that keep backing it up and doubling down. This is
- 2:15:53Speaker 12: absolutely unnecessary. Now, this ties to what we were talking
- 2:15:56Speaker 12: about last night, because obviously none of this has anything
- 2:15:59Speaker 12: to do with the Strait of Hormuz. If you look
- 2:16:02Speaker 12: at inflation... using not the BLS numbers, the Bureau of
- 2:16:06Speaker 12: Labor Statistics. I haven't used that in years. That's old school.
- 2:16:08Speaker 12: It's never right. I think Frank even said yesterday that
- 2:16:11Speaker 12: here's the number from the BLS, but it could be higher,
- 2:16:14Speaker 12: it could be lower.
- 2:16:14Speaker 1: Who knows, right?
- 2:16:15Speaker 5: Well, they've cooked those numbers.
- 2:16:17Speaker 14: You know as well as I do, I don't care
- 2:16:19Speaker 14: if it's Democrats or Republicans, once you'd stop collecting unemployment,
- 2:16:22Speaker 14: you're no longer counted. And then I don't think the
- 2:16:25Speaker 14: numbers have been accurate for many, for decades.
- 2:16:28Speaker 12: No, that's why I don't use them. So if you
- 2:16:31Speaker 12: want to look at actual inflation, From 2020 to now,
- 2:16:35Speaker 12: cost of living overall is up about 30%. If you
- 2:16:38Speaker 12: want to look at the current rate of inflation as
- 2:16:40Speaker 12: of yesterday, it was about 2.11%. That means that we've
- 2:16:45Speaker 12: experienced tremendous inflation over these last six years. And you remember,
- 2:16:48Speaker 12: we spent an awful lot of time during the Biden
- 2:16:50Speaker 12: administration explaining the regulatory-driven inflation, the policy-driven inflation, and so on.
- 2:16:56Speaker 12: And when you get to where we are now... Everybody
- 2:16:59Speaker 12: thinks apparently that the inflation came in the last 15
- 2:17:02Speaker 12: months because they are being sort of lied to by
- 2:17:05Speaker 12: people who don't understand or are being dishonest. So the
- 2:17:10Speaker 12: reality is that is a perfect example of regulatory-driven inflation,
- 2:17:14Speaker 12: and we've got a lot of those. Right now, for
- 2:17:17Speaker 12: reasons I haven't fully grasped, eggs are spiking again. But
- 2:17:20Speaker 12: remember when they slaughtered millions of birds? for some silly
- 2:17:25Speaker 12: nonsense about a virus. And they just went on and
- 2:17:27Speaker 12: slaughtered millions and millions of chickens. And suddenly, we had
- 2:17:31Speaker 12: an egg problem. You know, they continue to meddle in
- 2:17:34Speaker 12: our lives in ways they shouldn't. That drives inflation. And
- 2:17:37Speaker 12: then you got the big hammer, the printing and spending,
- 2:17:40Speaker 12: the fact that we keep diluting the value of the
- 2:17:43Speaker 12: dollar by printing more of them. And so this has
- 2:17:47Speaker 12: been going on a long time. Now, of course, in
- 2:17:49Speaker 12: the last what, since February, we've seen energy prices go up.
- 2:17:54Speaker 12: But before that began to affect inflation, Trump's policies had
- 2:17:59Speaker 12: inflation down to 0.68%.
- 2:18:01Speaker 5: And gasoline down to 250 a gallon.
- 2:18:05Speaker 12: Yeah, I mean, it was great. I mean, inflation was
- 2:18:08Speaker 12: down to 0.68. Now it's up to 2.11. But again,
- 2:18:13Speaker 12: you know, all these folks are experiencing what happened over five,
- 2:18:16Speaker 12: six years. And it's been brutal. But no, it hasn't
- 2:18:19Speaker 12: happened in the last 18 months, nor has it happened
- 2:18:21Speaker 12: just since February. What's happened since February is this disruption,
- 2:18:25Speaker 12: this war has caused a problem with oil supplies. I
- 2:18:30Speaker 12: think we all understand that. And it's going to be
- 2:18:32Speaker 12: a real problem with fertilizers we talked about months ago. Now,
- 2:18:36Speaker 12: here's the thing, and this is a point I want
- 2:18:38Speaker 12: to make sure just to get clear for people like
- 2:18:40Speaker 12: Frank who have a hard time keeping up. If you
- 2:18:42Speaker 12: look at the drawdowns of the strategic petroleum reserve, there
- 2:18:48Speaker 12: were 244 million barrels drawn down under the Biden regime,
- 2:18:53Speaker 12: net of buys versus sells, inventory plus buys minus sells.
- 2:18:56Speaker 12: They drew down 244 million barrels. And remember, it's the
- 2:19:04Speaker 12: strategic petroleum reserve, not the political petroleum reserve. There was
- 2:19:10Speaker 12: no good reason to do any of that, but they
- 2:19:12Speaker 12: did it to offset the disastrous policies they put in
- 2:19:15Speaker 12: place that drove up the cost of energy. Now, since
- 2:19:18Speaker 12: Trump has been involved in this war, well, say, since
- 2:19:21Speaker 12: he's been in office, he laid in another $ 20 million.
- 2:19:25Speaker 12: He has drawn down $ 88 million for a net drawdown
- 2:19:28Speaker 12: of $ 68 million. So the fact of the matter is,
- 2:19:31Speaker 12: we've used the strategic patrolling reserve for strategic reasons only
- 2:19:36Speaker 12: in the last few months, and at one-third or less
- 2:19:39Speaker 12: than one-third of the amount that Democrats drew down to
- 2:19:42Speaker 12: try to mask the impact of their horrible policies, which
- 2:19:45Speaker 12: people like Frank seem to like. Now, that's the inflation story.
- 2:19:50Speaker 12: But when you come back to your HVAC discussion, which
- 2:19:52Speaker 12: was excellent, when you think about why people don't have money,
- 2:19:56Speaker 12: our credit cards... You remember... I don't know, three, four
- 2:20:00Speaker 12: years ago, we started talking about how credit cards cost
- 2:20:02Speaker 12: a trillion dollars. They got up to $ 1. 2 trillion. We
- 2:20:06Speaker 12: have large numbers of consumers saddled with extraordinarily high-cost debt
- 2:20:11Speaker 12: in the form of credit cards. And now those credit
- 2:20:13Speaker 12: cards are hitting about 14% default rates. In other words,
- 2:20:18Speaker 12: people can't pay them off. So we have this really
- 2:20:22Speaker 12: troubling situation where the debt load that's been built up
- 2:20:25Speaker 12: over the last 40 years... during the whole time that
- 2:20:28Speaker 12: people like Frank have been investing and harvesting the fruits
- 2:20:32Speaker 12: of that horrible fiscal and economic policy, you know, they
- 2:20:37Speaker 12: have driven up, of course, the price of stocks. So
- 2:20:40Speaker 12: if you had assets during that time, homes, stocks, you
- 2:20:43Speaker 12: did very, very well. But if you were a W-2
- 2:20:46Speaker 12: wage earner, because the government kept bringing in illegal aliens
- 2:20:50Speaker 12: to drive down your wages, or at least turning a
- 2:20:52Speaker 12: blind eye under Biden. They, of course, actively brought them in,
- 2:20:55Speaker 12: but they turned a blind eye. They drove down wages
- 2:20:58Speaker 12: while the stock market and appreciable assets climbed in value.
- 2:21:02Speaker 12: That's why we had such an incredible widening of the
- 2:21:05Speaker 12: gap between the sort of W-2 wage-earning average family and
- 2:21:10Speaker 12: the very wealthy, and so much wealth accumulated up to
- 2:21:13Speaker 12: the top ends of the wealthy sort of strata, right?
- 2:21:18Speaker 12: And there are other factors as well that we could
- 2:21:19Speaker 12: talk about. The offshoring of jobs, the H-1Bs, the exporting
- 2:21:24Speaker 12: of our manufacturing and our pharmaceuticals and all these industries
- 2:21:28Speaker 12: that we've pushed overseas. We've basically been at war with
- 2:21:31Speaker 12: the middle class. And in order to maintain lifestyle, they've
- 2:21:33Speaker 12: been working harder, taking on extra jobs when they can
- 2:21:37Speaker 12: get them, and running up debt. Of course, the government's
- 2:21:39Speaker 12: running up debt. Corporations have run up debt. I've got
- 2:21:42Speaker 12: to tell you, This AI debt thing, where they've taken
- 2:21:45Speaker 12: on all this debt in order to fund their current
- 2:21:48Speaker 12: AI infrastructure build-out, it's massive. And they do not have
- 2:21:52Speaker 12: the cash flows to pay it off. And they're going
- 2:21:54Speaker 12: to lay in, what, another trillion dollars of debt to
- 2:21:57Speaker 12: these AI companies? These are sort of just, it's compounding
- 2:22:01Speaker 12: cataclysmic decisions by our nation as a whole, the consumer,
- 2:22:06Speaker 12: the government, and business. And so now, if you look
- 2:22:09Speaker 12: at the conference board, for example, it's a professional group
- 2:22:13Speaker 12: that looks out at a bunch of leading indicators. If
- 2:22:16Speaker 12: you look at their, I think, call it 10 leading indicators,
- 2:22:19Speaker 12: you're not going to find one that's in green territory.
- 2:22:22Speaker 12: You're not going to find one that has a big, happy,
- 2:22:24Speaker 12: green light and smiley face. They're all either stressed or negative.
- 2:22:30Speaker 12: If you look at something like The Architectural Billings Index,
- 2:22:33Speaker 12: you're going to see that that has popped. I presume
- 2:22:36Speaker 12: that's because of the AI build-out. So, in other words,
- 2:22:39Speaker 12: it's climbed really quickly, but it's been in negative territory
- 2:22:42Speaker 12: for a little while. And I don't know if this
- 2:22:45Speaker 12: is all AI-driven, then that's not the best answer because
- 2:22:49Speaker 12: that's not going to generate jobs. So, yeah, we have
- 2:22:52Speaker 12: an economy that has been on this sugar high from
- 2:22:56Speaker 12: debt for many, many years, and it is beginning to
- 2:22:58Speaker 12: catch up.
- 2:23:00Speaker 13: Now..
- 2:23:01Speaker 12: We've seen rents, for example, begin to decline in places
- 2:23:04Speaker 12: like Austin, if you can believe that, places like Miami. Well,
- 2:23:07Speaker 12: some of that is because we've got self-deporting going on
- 2:23:11Speaker 12: as the government has stopped funding the lifestyles of the
- 2:23:14Speaker 12: illegal aliens. And some of that is because we have
- 2:23:17Speaker 12: inventory builds and whatnot. But we're starting to see some
- 2:23:20Speaker 12: things move the other way. But if you look at Cleveland,
- 2:23:22Speaker 12: if you look at Chicago, you're going to see significant
- 2:23:26Speaker 12: increases in rents. So it's not consistent nationwide. But right now,
- 2:23:32Speaker 12: just looking at the fundamentals, there aren't a lot of
- 2:23:35Speaker 12: good signs that we have GDP growth. Okay, great. That's great.
- 2:23:38Speaker 12: But that's not helping families that aren't seeing wage increases.
- 2:23:42Speaker 12: So I think we have a number of issues, all
- 2:23:46Speaker 12: of which we've talked about over the last three, four,
- 2:23:48Speaker 12: five years, that are now sort of compounding and landing.
- 2:23:52Speaker 12: You throw the gasoline price going up in these last
- 2:23:55Speaker 12: couple of months, and suddenly people are really feeling the stress. So,
- 2:24:01Speaker 12: you know, this is not a perfect situation. We have
- 2:24:05Speaker 12: some problems. And that's why the doomsayers, the folks that
- 2:24:08Speaker 12: have been calling for a crash for now, you know,
- 2:24:10Speaker 12: 15 years, they've been correct fundamentally, but they've never been
- 2:24:14Speaker 12: right from a timing standpoint because no one understood how
- 2:24:19Speaker 12: far the government would go in printing money, how far
- 2:24:22Speaker 12: the Fed would go in buying U.S. treasuries. to create
- 2:24:25Speaker 12: fake cash. I don't think anybody understood that. So, what
- 2:24:31Speaker 12: he was just saying, I think, makes perfect sense to me,
- 2:24:34Speaker 12: that people are slowing down. And I think it is–
- 2:24:39Speaker 12: I think we have structural problems we have to address.
- 2:24:41Speaker 14: I would just say I don't think people have a choice.
- 2:24:44Speaker 14: I think they have to slow down. I go back
- 2:24:46Speaker 14: to saying what I said to him. You can't have
- 2:24:48Speaker 14: double-digit increases on everything. And whether it's 2.5% or whatever,
- 2:24:54Speaker 14: pick whatever inflation number you want. Put that number on
- 2:24:57Speaker 14: top of all the– it's like building blocks. Put it
- 2:25:00Speaker 14: on top of what was there and you keep it.
- 2:25:03Speaker 14: raising the inflation. We know property taxes have gone up
- 2:25:06Speaker 14: substantially and will go up even more. We know electricity
- 2:25:10Speaker 14: has doubled. We know gas is at four bucks a gallon.
- 2:25:12Speaker 14: We know insurance has gone up in double-digit numbers. We
- 2:25:16Speaker 14: know housing has gone up. We know food has gone up.
- 2:25:20Speaker 14: So you only have so much money.
- 2:25:22Speaker 5: I'm sorry.
- 2:25:23Speaker 14: Your wages don't keep pace with the double-digit inflation, nor
- 2:25:27Speaker 14: does your savings. So consequently, you have to make cutbacks.
- 2:25:31Speaker 14: You've got to cut somewhere because you just can't afford
- 2:25:34Speaker 14: what you used to be able to afford. That's why
- 2:25:36Speaker 14: I sit here and say not to be cocky. Everybody
- 2:25:39Speaker 14: listening is getting poorer. You're getting poorer, period.
- 2:25:42Speaker 12: Not everybody. Not everybody. People that have large stores of
- 2:25:46Speaker 12: invested assets that are seeing– You know, these constant increases
- 2:25:50Speaker 12: in the stock market. Those people seem to be getting richer.
- 2:25:53Speaker 12: What I'm concerned about..
- 2:25:54Speaker 14: In general, the majority of people are getting poorer. I mean,
- 2:25:58Speaker 14: so their savings doesn't go as far. Their retirement doesn't
- 2:26:02Speaker 14: go as far. Their paycheck doesn't go as far. So
- 2:26:07Speaker 14: they're sitting back saying, where the hell is this going?
- 2:26:10Speaker 14: How much more of this inflation can we have? What
- 2:26:12Speaker 14: if these oil people are right and this war continues
- 2:26:16Speaker 14: to go on and my gas price goes from $ 4
- 2:26:18Speaker 14: to $ 4.
- 2:26:18Speaker 5: 50 or $ 5 or $ 6? There's cause for concern that
- 2:26:19Speaker 5: people are having on this.
- 2:26:26Speaker 14: On where is this heading and how it has a
- 2:26:28Speaker 14: direct effect on a lot of incomes. What were they
- 2:26:32Speaker 14: saying yesterday on our news that.
- 2:26:36Speaker 5: People were drawn out of their retirement accounts?
- 2:26:40Speaker 12: Well, these are the emergency loans against 401ks, right?
- 2:26:45Speaker 14: I don't know if it's loans or drawing out of them,
- 2:26:47Speaker 14: drawing out of their savings for food, for basic necessities.
- 2:26:51Speaker 5: Well, how long can you do that?
- 2:26:53Speaker 12: And they're putting them on credit cards. And that's not new.
- 2:26:56Speaker 12: That's how we got to the $ 1 trillion credit card
- 2:26:59Speaker 12: outstanding balances. And now we're beyond that. So this has
- 2:27:04Speaker 12: been building and accumulating for years.
- 2:27:06Speaker 14: But there's nothing good. I can't sit here and say
- 2:27:08Speaker 14: I'm optimistic about anything right now.
- 2:27:10Speaker 1: Can you?
- 2:27:11Speaker 12: There's one period of time where this reversed. And that
- 2:27:15Speaker 12: was 17, 18, and 19 when Donald Trump implemented sound policies.
- 2:27:21Speaker 12: that helped us on all of the– he cut back
- 2:27:24Speaker 12: regulations that were trillion-dollar burdens. He cut back on these
- 2:27:28Speaker 12: crazy energy policies, and the price of fuel dropped precipitously. 17, 18,
- 2:27:34Speaker 12: and 19, we saw wages grow faster than inflation. That
- 2:27:38Speaker 12: should have happened again this time. because he shut the
- 2:27:41Speaker 12: border and H-1Bs are down. But the truth is, wages
- 2:27:46Speaker 12: aren't growing faster than inflation now. We're, you know, to
- 2:27:49Speaker 12: point inflation, if somebody gets a 3% raise, they're technically ahead,
- 2:27:53Speaker 12: but it doesn't make up for the 30% increase that
- 2:27:55Speaker 12: we've suffered since 2020. That's the problem. It's this cumulative
- 2:28:00Speaker 12: effect of all the policies and economic moves that have
- 2:28:05Speaker 12: squeezed the middle class to the breaking point. Yeah.
- 2:28:10Speaker 14: And I don't know what options they have right now.
- 2:28:12Speaker 14: There's definitely an uncertainty as to what's ahead.
- 2:28:15Speaker 5: Would you agree?
- 2:28:16Speaker 3: Oh, absolutely.
- 2:28:18Speaker 12: And, you know, to your point about the war, as
- 2:28:20Speaker 12: we said, I don't know, a couple months ago, if
- 2:28:22Speaker 12: this war continues and these oil supplies continue to be disrupted...
- 2:28:28Speaker 12: One point we have to remember is that people solve problems.
- 2:28:31Speaker 12: So they're building pipelines now in the Middle East that
- 2:28:34Speaker 12: are going to be very helpful, but that might not
- 2:28:35Speaker 12: be until 2028. So in the short term, we are
- 2:28:40Speaker 12: going to pay for this war in the price of energy,
- 2:28:42Speaker 12: and it's the first war in the lifetime of anybody
- 2:28:45Speaker 12: listening that we've actually had to pay for it. We've
- 2:28:50Speaker 12: actually had an economic cost associated with our endless wars.
- 2:28:56Speaker 12: Because we put it on the credit card, and for
- 2:28:58Speaker 12: so many years we didn't have inflation at the rate
- 2:29:01Speaker 12: that was consistent with the amount of debt we were accruing.
- 2:29:05Speaker 12: It just sort of just kept working out. But if
- 2:29:08Speaker 12: something doesn't get fixed soon, yeah, we're going to be
- 2:29:10Speaker 12: in trouble. What we really need is Congress to implement
- 2:29:13Speaker 12: the America First agenda. We need Trump to get back
- 2:29:15Speaker 12: on the domestic agenda and implement the same policies, the
- 2:29:18Speaker 12: same philosophies that he implemented in his first term. We
- 2:29:21Speaker 12: need to get back to fixing this nation.
- 2:29:25Speaker 5: It doesn't appear that's happening anytime soon.
- 2:29:29Speaker 12: The Republicans are still pretending the filibuster is the greatest
- 2:29:32Speaker 12: problem they have, and they can't possibly imagine a way
- 2:29:35Speaker 12: to get over it. Any excuse they can come up
- 2:29:37Speaker 12: with to stop it. As I said yesterday, they are
- 2:29:40Speaker 12: still preventing Donald Trump appointments from going through by holding
- 2:29:45Speaker 12: these fake Senate sessions that last 39 seconds. I timed one.
- 2:29:49Speaker 12: They last 39 seconds, but that's enough to say the
- 2:29:52Speaker 12: Senate's still in session and prevent him from making recess appointments.
- 2:29:55Speaker 12: They're fighting us on everything. Of course, the Democrats are
- 2:29:57Speaker 12: enjoying that because they get to sit on the other
- 2:29:59Speaker 12: side and pretend they're not fighting us. We're in a
- 2:30:04Speaker 12: tough position. And until D.C. and your state and your
- 2:30:09Speaker 12: county officials and township officials begin responding. This increase in
- 2:30:13Speaker 12: the tax burden that we're all taking on, what's the
- 2:30:15Speaker 12: point of this? What is the purpose of inflation? No,
- 2:30:18Speaker 12: it's not inflation. The state can't stop spending.
- 2:30:21Speaker 5: Stand by. Back in a minute. NewsRadio 570 WKBN. If
- 2:30:28Speaker 5: you run a business, WKBN.
- 2:30:30Speaker 14: I really wish I had some good news for people
- 2:30:32Speaker 14: on this type of situation. But right now, I think
- 2:30:35Speaker 14: we're in a holding pattern. The status quo when it
- 2:30:38Speaker 14: comes to this situation with Iran, you still got the
- 2:30:42Speaker 14: mess going on with the Ukraine situation. You still got
- 2:30:48Speaker 14: inflation rearing its ugly head. And this demand for energy, too,
- 2:30:53Speaker 14: when it comes to these AI centers and electricity demand
- 2:30:56Speaker 14: and that going up and taxes going up.
- 2:30:58Speaker 5: I can't tell you that there's anything.
- 2:31:00Speaker 14: I wish I could tell you there was some great
- 2:31:02Speaker 14: optimistic news that your future looks bright.
- 2:31:05Speaker 5: But right now, it's kind of dismal. How's that for
- 2:31:08Speaker 5: an analysis?
- 2:31:10Speaker 12: Yeah, we're in a very tough spot right now. And
- 2:31:13Speaker 12: the only... You've heard this from me a million times.
- 2:31:15Speaker 12: The only group powerful enough to turn this around is
- 2:31:18Speaker 12: the American people. They have to get engaged... call their
- 2:31:21Speaker 12: state rep and say, I don't want flock cameras surveilling.
- 2:31:25Speaker 5: Me every day. That's the least of my worries, flock cameras.
- 2:31:30Speaker 12: Oh, not mine at all, because this is all tied together.
- 2:31:33Speaker 14: I don't think that if you think the biggest concern
- 2:31:36Speaker 14: with what's going on right now is some flock camera, listen,
- 2:31:40Speaker 14: the police that use those, a lot of times they
- 2:31:42Speaker 14: do apprehend criminals when they're using it. I don't think
- 2:31:46Speaker 14: that your local police department cares too much about what
- 2:31:48Speaker 14: I'm doing and where I'm going.
- 2:31:50Speaker 5: Or anything like that.
- 2:31:51Speaker 12: I understand the point, but it's untrue, because here's what
- 2:31:53Speaker 12: they're talking about in some cities, mounting those on garbage
- 2:31:56Speaker 12: cans so they can monitor your trash to determine whether
- 2:31:58Speaker 12: or not you didn't buy a permit.
- 2:32:00Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, I'll believe it when I see that kind
- 2:32:02Speaker 5: of stuff.
- 2:32:02Speaker 14: I mean..
- 2:32:03Speaker 12: Well, it's happening. It's real. And they're about to bring
- 2:32:07Speaker 12: out the drones. That's just one issue, Ron. The point
- 2:32:09Speaker 12: I'm trying to make is... The only way this gets
- 2:32:11Speaker 12: turned around is if people get off the couch and
- 2:32:13Speaker 12: get active. Call your state reps. Call your U.S. congressmen.
- 2:32:18Speaker 12: They don't hear from you.
- 2:32:19Speaker 5: Well, let me ask you this, though.
- 2:32:21Speaker 12: They don't care.
- 2:32:22Speaker 5: Don't you think people are kind of getting off the couch?
- 2:32:24Speaker 5: I've got to tell you. Well, hang on. Tap the brakes.
- 2:32:27Speaker 14: There's a lot of people who get together in their
- 2:32:29Speaker 14: local communities, and they're saying, listen. We don't want AI centers.
- 2:32:34Speaker 14: They're going to these meetings. They're getting moratoriums. They're saying
- 2:32:37Speaker 14: we don't want them. We don't want the high cost
- 2:32:40Speaker 14: of electricity that comes with them. We are concerned about
- 2:32:42Speaker 14: the water usage. I don't think everyone's sitting on the
- 2:32:45Speaker 14: couch as you describe. I think there are plenty of people,
- 2:32:47Speaker 14: when I read my paper here, throughout this community that
- 2:32:50Speaker 14: are very active when it comes to the AI centers
- 2:32:53Speaker 14: coming to town and the effects it has on electric
- 2:32:56Speaker 14: bills and water supplies.
- 2:32:57Speaker 5: I hear plenty of people. All I got to do
- 2:32:59Speaker 5: is go over to the Shell station.
- 2:33:01Speaker 14: And when I'm gassing up, I hear plenty of people
- 2:33:03Speaker 14: bitching about the gas price. And I must confess to you,
- 2:33:09Speaker 14: when I hear people complaining about things, I'm going to
- 2:33:12Speaker 14: confess to you. Nobody is not a single soul has said,
- 2:33:15Speaker 14: you know what really annoys me?
- 2:33:16Speaker 5: The flock cameras.
- 2:33:18Speaker 14: No, they're talking about electric prices, gas prices, grocery prices. inflation,
- 2:33:26Speaker 14: all of that stuff. That's what people are concerned about. Carville,
- 2:33:30Speaker 14: as dumb as he is, is right. It's the economy, stupid.
- 2:33:33Speaker 14: That's where people are.
- 2:33:36Speaker 12: Ron, I'm going to tell you what I see, okay?
- 2:33:39Speaker 12: I don't see people getting active around schools anymore. I
- 2:33:41Speaker 12: think that's past. The two things that get people off
- 2:33:44Speaker 12: the couch right now are just what you said. It's
- 2:33:46Speaker 12: the plot cameras and the data centers. But they're not
- 2:33:49Speaker 12: talking about things like the $ 1. 1 trillion... military budget nobody's
- 2:33:53Speaker 12: saying a word and if you're complaining to the gas
- 2:33:55Speaker 12: pump the gas pump can't hear you you've got to
- 2:33:58Speaker 12: complain to the elected officials because if they hear enough
- 2:34:01Speaker 12: of you speak.
- 2:34:02Speaker 14: Out you're forgetting when you put that sticker on there
- 2:34:07Speaker 14: that had biden on there that said i did this
- 2:34:09Speaker 14: you know when the gas prices was high that that
- 2:34:12Speaker 14: made people feel a lot better don't you think.
- 2:34:14Speaker 12: Well, I'll tell you what that did is that woke
- 2:34:16Speaker 12: up voters who started about policy. That actually was a
- 2:34:19Speaker 12: really effective messaging tactic.
- 2:34:21Speaker 14: Well, we better be careful that we don't see one
- 2:34:25Speaker 14: of Trump on there saying, hey, I did this because
- 2:34:27Speaker 14: it can.
- 2:34:28Speaker 5: Go both ways.
- 2:34:29Speaker 12: But they're posting them now. And look, you know, he's
- 2:34:32Speaker 12: going to have to deal with what the outfall of
- 2:34:35Speaker 12: this war is. And he's got to get back to
- 2:34:37Speaker 12: this domestic agenda. That was the source of the big
- 2:34:40Speaker 12: fight in the White House at the beginning of this war.
- 2:34:43Speaker 12: And that fight hasn't stopped since.
- 2:34:46Speaker 14: Well, I tell you something, I talk to you more,
- 2:34:48Speaker 14: but I'm afraid the flock cameras are going to be looking.
- 2:34:51Speaker 1: At me now.
- 2:34:53Speaker 12: You'll have one following you home soon.
- 2:35:00Speaker 14: If I drive through Niles and with the flock cameras
- 2:35:02Speaker 14: on the pole, and as long as I'm not in
- 2:35:05Speaker 14: a stolen car, didn't stick up the bank, I really
- 2:35:07Speaker 14: don't have anything to worry about. The cops aren't going
- 2:35:09Speaker 14: to come looking for me. But we have arrested a
- 2:35:12Speaker 14: lot of criminals and people that were definitely causing problems
- 2:35:18Speaker 14: in areas because of fly cameras.
- 2:35:20Speaker 5: There's a reason for the Fourth Amendment.
- 2:35:22Speaker 12: That reason still exists.
- 2:35:24Speaker 5: Ah, yes. G2, it's always a joy. Appreciate it, my friends.
