- 0:00Speaker 1: The world's most traveled box of crap. It's one more
- 0:03Speaker 1: thing I'm strong and geddy thing before I get to
- 0:10Speaker 1: that smells like a male goat around here somewhere.
- 0:16Speaker 2: I feel like that's probably my goat.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I keep getting a whiff of male goat and I
- 0:21Speaker 1: was out at the farm yesterday and I feel like
- 0:25Speaker 1: I got it on my boots that I'm wearing, or
- 0:27Speaker 1: my jacket or something. Do you know why male goats
- 0:30Speaker 1: smell the way they do, Katie, I've talked about this
- 0:33Speaker 1: before as a guy has had many many goats on
- 0:35Speaker 1: his farm. I don't so to attract the ladies. They
- 0:42Speaker 1: wear a ladies, they wear a cologne. The cologne that
- 0:46Speaker 1: they choose to wear is the scent of their own urine.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Ah.
- 0:50Speaker 1: And the way they make them smell that way is
- 0:53Speaker 1: they stick their head down between their legs and urinate
- 0:57Speaker 1: on their face.
- 0:58Speaker 3: By the way, for the guys listening, don't bother if
- 1:01Speaker 3: I already tried it, And the answer is no.
- 1:05Speaker 1: They put their head down between their legs and urinate
- 1:07Speaker 1: on their face. And they do that like every day,
- 1:09Speaker 1: all day, and then they're which the ladies go oh yeah, yeah,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and then they're out in the hot sun, and it
- 1:16Speaker 1: is and it's its own particular kind of smell that
- 1:19Speaker 1: is just horrific. And if you get it on anything,
- 1:23Speaker 1: you can't wash it off. You almost have to throw
- 1:25Speaker 1: away your clothes. I mean, it's it's really quite amazing.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And I'm guessing goats don't really properly hydrate. They don't
- 1:32Speaker 3: have the big dumb cup that they carry around. Yeah,
- 1:34Speaker 3: I'm drinking sixty four ounces of water every day, so
- 1:37Speaker 3: I'll bet their their urine is particularly pungent.
- 1:41Speaker 1: The interesting thing is that the uh, having watched many
- 1:45Speaker 1: goats mate lie in my backyard at night, some people
- 1:54Speaker 1: people watch Jack Yeah, got goot fornication dot com.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Oh yeah, he's a subscriber.
- 2:03Speaker 1: The female goat doesn't appear to have a lot of
- 2:07Speaker 1: say and when and wear and how? Come on, Yeah,
- 2:12Speaker 1: you could really meet to a male male goat because
- 2:15Speaker 1: there's there's not a lot of romance, there's not a
- 2:18Speaker 1: lot of flirting, and then there is no say of when,
- 2:20Speaker 1: wear how.
- 2:21Speaker 3: The pillow talk is negligible. On the other hand, the
- 2:25Speaker 3: lady goat said, hey, that guy really stinks a year
- 2:28Speaker 3: and I gotta go check this out.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So although that's in the that's when they're like loose
- 2:35Speaker 1: in a pen and it happens, so you know, and
- 2:37Speaker 1: they're they're in heat, so they're interested. But still it
- 2:40Speaker 1: seems very aggressive. It's light BDSM at the most and
- 2:46Speaker 1: at the least I would say you're.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Looking at you thinking what are you doing? But there
- 2:52Speaker 2: is ridiculous.
- 2:53Speaker 1: There is something that people do regularly called stump bread
- 2:58Speaker 1: where you tie them to a post and then you
- 3:02Speaker 1: let the male goat in there and then they have
- 3:04Speaker 1: really no choice. Oh that sounds awful some people because
- 3:11Speaker 1: they don't want to be I mean, this is an
- 3:13Speaker 1: actual thing that happens.
- 3:14Speaker 3: I'm sorry, hang on, hang on, I'm checking my Bengo
- 3:16Speaker 3: card to see if I had goat rape on it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: No, no, I don't not seeing this turn on the
- 3:22Speaker 1: map jack. People actually do this where they will those
- 3:30Speaker 1: they don't want to get near the stinky male goat
- 3:32Speaker 1: or deal with it either, but so they'll tie up
- 3:34Speaker 1: their female goat to a post like out by the
- 3:36Speaker 1: road and say, you know, bring your bring your male
- 3:40Speaker 1: goat by. Those people should not have goats. I don't
- 3:44Speaker 1: know why. I know it sounds awful, doesn't it. I mean,
- 3:50Speaker 1: it sounds really really awful.
- 3:52Speaker 3: So the people bring the male goat by the buck
- 3:56Speaker 3: goat or the stud goat or buck buck, do they
- 4:00Speaker 3: get like a goatlet out of it a kid?
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 4:04Speaker 1: You or you just get paid if you have a
- 4:06Speaker 1: like papered fancy goat that has won prizes or something
- 4:12Speaker 1: like that. And the world of procreation in the animal world,
- 4:17Speaker 1: it's not pleasant anyway. It didn't mean it didn't mean
- 4:22Speaker 1: to get off on that tangent. I was just thinking
- 4:24Speaker 1: about it smells like something smells like a male goat
- 4:27Speaker 1: around here, and you meant to go all the way
- 4:29Speaker 1: and it's probably me. What I opened with is the
- 4:34Speaker 1: world's best traveled box at crap. So I was the
- 4:36Speaker 1: reason I was out at the farm yesterday is I'm
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm going through boxes and getting the last of my
- 4:40Speaker 1: stuff out of where I used to live before I
- 4:43Speaker 1: got divorced. And I'm sure you're this way too, Joe.
- 4:47Speaker 1: I have moved many, many times since I left my parents'
- 4:51Speaker 1: house at age eighteen, and I've got stuff in boxes.
- 4:54Speaker 1: I think I had a box yesterday that I opened
- 4:56Speaker 1: up that had not been opened since I left left
- 5:00Speaker 1: at eighteen, and I was trying to count how many
- 5:02Speaker 1: different places that must have gone. And it's like twenty
- 5:07Speaker 1: five thirty different homes that I moved that box around,
- 5:11Speaker 1: and obviously I would have never known if it ceased
- 5:15Speaker 1: to exist.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Right right, or it's like a time capsule you buried,
- 5:21Speaker 3: but he didn't bury it.
- 5:22Speaker 2: You just card it from place to place.
- 5:23Speaker 1: My biggest question is why why are you doing this?
- 5:25Speaker 1: Why are you carrying this box around from apartment to apartment,
- 5:28Speaker 1: to a girlfriend's apartment, to a different house, to a
- 5:31Speaker 1: different state, and then and back again. MoMA, what are
- 5:34Speaker 1: you doing? Why do some of us do this? Some
- 5:36Speaker 1: of you don't. Some of you are better at this,
- 5:37Speaker 1: but I'm not. Did you open it?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 5:39Speaker 1: And it was a box of crap.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Mostly.
- 5:42Speaker 1: He's a bunch of old Mad magazines, which my son,
- 5:44Speaker 1: my son just really recently got into Mad magazines, and
- 5:47Speaker 1: so I've got all my Mad magazines from the seventies
- 5:49Speaker 1: for him, and he was reading them and in really
- 5:52Speaker 1: enjoying that because they're, you know, something I read when
- 5:55Speaker 1: I was his own.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, parodies of movies he's never heard of.
- 5:59Speaker 1: I found my forgotten I even had my old turntable
- 6:01Speaker 1: from high school that I bought with my own money.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I had a really good Sony turntable. I saved up
- 6:06Speaker 1: my lawnmowing money. I think it was like two hundred
- 6:08Speaker 1: and fifty bucks and whatever year that was late seventies,
- 6:11Speaker 1: so it must have been like a thousand dollars turntable
- 6:14Speaker 1: now anyway, and it's I cleaned it all up, had
- 6:18Speaker 1: some mice droppings and stuff on it as it's been,
- 6:21Speaker 1: but it's been. It hasn't been used for at least
- 6:25Speaker 1: forty five years probably. Anyway, I was wondering who I
- 6:27Speaker 1: plugged it in, plugged it in, lit up, turned everything works.
- 6:30Speaker 1: All I got to do is get a new needle for it,
- 6:32Speaker 1: so I get to use my high school turntable. I
- 6:34Speaker 1: guess to try to play music.
- 6:35Speaker 2: That's so cool. Can you still get a needle or
- 6:38Speaker 2: a cartridge?
- 6:39Speaker 1: There's a store needle, Yeah, there's a store in my
- 6:41Speaker 1: town anyway that sells O still.
- 6:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's cool because.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Turntables have made a bit of a comeback. Yes, Michael,
- 6:47Speaker 1: you can get Vinyl.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Vinyl's making a comeback.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Yeah. Well I noticed. And the target, the big display
- 6:52Speaker 1: inside the target, instead of being trans person's swimwear, was
- 6:57Speaker 1: a Taylor swift albums.
- 6:58Speaker 2: They have the bands Chill Swimwear.
- 7:01Speaker 1: They have the Taylor Swift album Life of a Show
- 7:02Speaker 1: Girl in vinyl with a big poster that comes in it,
- 7:05Speaker 1: which a lot of cool albums did back when I
- 7:07Speaker 1: was a kid. Came with the cool post t and
- 7:09Speaker 1: you can buy it, And I thought, Wow, there are
- 7:11Speaker 1: enough Taylor Swift fans with turntables that this is a
- 7:15Speaker 1: big display in Target nationwide.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Okay, cool?
- 7:18Speaker 1: Well, and also crazy that that turntable that you found.
- 7:21Speaker 3: I mean, if that had been made today, it would
- 7:24Speaker 3: not have turned on, you know what I mean.
- 7:25Speaker 1: If it's like the old school I was wondering about.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I was wondering about that because it doesn't have that
- 7:31Speaker 1: super cheap plastic feel that all electronics from China.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Yeah, right, sir.
- 7:39Speaker 1: But so are young people into the turntable just as
- 7:43Speaker 1: it's a cool nostalgia thing, you know, audio files like
- 7:47Speaker 1: my brother swears by the sound is so much better,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and he does it for that reason. But is it
- 7:53Speaker 1: the young people just like the seems retro and cool.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I'll bet that's a lot of it. I'm with your brother.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It sounds notably different. I haven't listened to one in
- 8:05Speaker 1: so long. I look forward to trying it out.
- 8:07Speaker 3: You know, my son would come home from college way
- 8:09Speaker 3: back in the day and we would throw on vinyl
- 8:13Speaker 3: coming through big stereo speakers. In the richness of the
- 8:17Speaker 3: sound compared to the listening experience in the twenty first
- 8:19Speaker 3: century generally, it's just it was beyond It was like
- 8:23Speaker 3: you'd gotten a terrible hearing deficit.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Thicks that's horrible, surgically or something like that, that's horrible.
- 8:29Speaker 1: We've taken such a step backwards like that and just
- 8:31Speaker 1: gotten used to it.
- 8:32Speaker 2: Well for convenience sake.
- 8:34Speaker 3: The other hand, every song that's ever existed is you know,
- 8:37Speaker 3: available whenever I want to play it.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But yeah, the listening experience is terrible.
- 8:40Speaker 1: I don't go too far on this and bore people diath,
- 8:42Speaker 1: but isn't there a way with zeros and ones to
- 8:45Speaker 1: get that rich sound.
- 8:46Speaker 3: It has to do with compressing the data and moving
- 8:51Speaker 3: it from place to place. And boy, I couldn't go
- 8:54Speaker 3: further down this road because I'm an ignoramus. But it's
- 8:57Speaker 3: it's a question of how much data you move at
- 8:59Speaker 3: what speed. There have been a couple of attempts to
- 9:01Speaker 3: do like a super high end digital listening it's going.
- 9:05Speaker 1: To be doable obviously, just because albums are recorded at
- 9:09Speaker 1: on digital and they record them at the highest audio processing.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Right right, Yeah, absolutely, it ought to be It ought
- 9:18Speaker 3: to be doable. I mean, we both as alleged guitar
- 9:23Speaker 3: players know that some of the digital amp modeling now
- 9:25Speaker 3: is indistinguishable really from the original because they use the
- 9:30Speaker 3: actual sound waves produced by the original and then duplicate
- 9:35Speaker 3: them digitally.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Well, remember musician Neil Young invested in and tried to
- 9:39Speaker 1: get this company going a few years back of vinyl
- 9:43Speaker 1: quality sound in digital form, but it just it never
- 9:47Speaker 1: got it off the ground.
- 9:48Speaker 2: For whatever reason. Yeah, I remember that. Yeah, I read
- 9:50Speaker 2: their views and it was like, this is not worth it.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I hate I hate the fact that this is true.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Like to Katie's point about the cheap crappy turntable, people
- 9:58Speaker 1: will buy cheap. If it's twenty dollars cheap, they'll buy
- 10:02Speaker 1: the cheap crappy one, And so companies make cheaper and
- 10:05Speaker 1: crappier ones. And apparently the same thing was the music.
- 10:07Speaker 1: If you're gonna have to pay a little more to
- 10:09Speaker 1: be able to listen to I quality music, people are like, nah,
- 10:11Speaker 1: I'm okay with the crappy sound of music.
- 10:13Speaker 3: People like crap, well, they like a media gratification too,
- 10:17Speaker 3: I do Can I have a crappy one today?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Or do I have to save up for six months?
- 10:21Speaker 1: That's what the male goat is thinking when he sticks
- 10:23Speaker 1: his head between the legs, and I need some immedia gratification?
- 10:27Speaker 2: Wow?
- 10:28Speaker 3: Wow, self peeing? Come on, goats, do better be better? Well, Jack,
- 10:36Speaker 3: maybe if you get your turntable up and go and
- 10:38Speaker 3: you can play some music for the ghats to have
- 10:39Speaker 3: sex with.
- 10:40Speaker 1: There you go.
- 10:41Speaker 2: No background soundals could be good. Sure, yeah, well, I
- 10:44Speaker 2: guess that's it.
