Speaker 1: so let us break this down. What is this all about?

Speaker 1: the locations. This was not random travel on Paul's behalf.

Speaker 1: This was purpose. Paul stopped in many places. And we

Speaker 1: need to allow God. Go to God, ask God. That's

Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. What moves do I need to make?

Speaker 1: Who do I need to connect with? And what do

Speaker 1: ask the Lord. Just like when we were in Detroit,

Speaker 1: my wife just wanted to stop at a fishing a

Speaker 1: talking about here? Now? We met those two guys in

Speaker 1: the restaurant and we prayed for them, We ministered to them.

Speaker 1: We got their phone. N I'm trying to get them

Speaker 1: First two and finding a ship selling over to that word,

Speaker 1: He is committed to the mission. Notice this, Paul did

Speaker 1: steps like unloading cargo becomes opportunity for ministry and man.

Speaker 1: out there serving and even helping people. Now this is big.

Speaker 1: Even regular steps in life can be divine steps. God

Speaker 1: will use everyday moments for Kingdom purposes. It could be

Speaker 1: something simple like taking out the trash, or you know,

Speaker 1: your daily duties at work, different things one verse four

Speaker 1: and finding disciples. We stayed there seven days. They told

Speaker 1: Paul through the spirit not to go up to Jerusalem.

Speaker 1: Now they told them through the spirit. The spirit revealed

Speaker 1: danger ahead, but not necessarily to stop Paul, rather to

Speaker 1: prepare him. This is where it gets deep at this point. Now, listen,

Speaker 1: not they loved Paul. They have a heart for Paul.

Speaker 1: They were out to support him. They were not haters.

Speaker 1: They're not trying to tell him to not go to

Speaker 1: Jerusalem because they were trying to deny him a ministry opportunity.

Speaker 1: They were not trying to shut the door in Paul's face. Now,

Speaker 1: this was motivated by love. So they told him not

Speaker 1: to go. But Paul already knew he was supposed to go.

Speaker 1: He already knew that this was the will of God.

Speaker 1: Sometimes people hear from God but interpret it through fear.

Speaker 1: God gave them the revelation. And when God gives us

Speaker 1: and reveals something to us, we need to ask for

Speaker 1: the interpretation of it, the revelation of it. We need

Speaker 1: to ask God and see God. You know, our job

Speaker 1: is to be God seekers right, seek them day and night.

Speaker 1: And so at this point, when God gives you a

Speaker 1: vision or dream, seek them, seek them for the full

Speaker 1: understanding of it. Even sitting there talking to my wife,

Speaker 1: I mean my sister, my big sister, at the wedding,

Speaker 1: she says she had a dream about me. Now this

Speaker 1: was years ago, and this is I was in the
15:49
Speaker 1: situation where I was separated from my first wife in
15:54
Speaker 1: the process of getting a divorce, and I fell into

Speaker 1: some compromise. I started getting close to a young lady
16:06
Speaker 1: that I should not have. You know, I gotta be
16:08
Speaker 1: transparent and honest. Amen. I mean, God dealt with me
16:12
Speaker 1: severely on it. But during this situation, my sister over
16:16
Speaker 1: in Texas, we weren't really talking at this point. She
16:20
Speaker 1: never called me or told me, but she was having
16:22
Speaker 1: dreams about me and about this young lady. She even
16:26
Speaker 1: said her name, and she didn't know who she was,
16:32
Speaker 1: and I confirmed it, and I told her how God
16:35
Speaker 1: dealt with me and the whole situation. One day, I'm
16:39
Speaker 1: just gonna just sit on here and just give my
16:42
Speaker 1: entire testimony. But yeah, that was a rough season in
16:49
Speaker 1: my life. And so I was able to give my
16:53
Speaker 1: sister the full revelation behind what she was dreaming about.

Speaker 1: And it was by the grace of God. God was

Speaker 1: gracious enough to get me through that. Amen. And now

Speaker 1: I'm here able to serve and fulfill purpose and destiny.

Speaker 1: And so I believe this is similar to what was

Speaker 1: happening there. They got the revelation, but their interpretation was

Speaker 1: to tell Paul not to go, but Paul wasn't having

Speaker 1: that amen. Verse five. When we had come to the

Speaker 1: end of those days, we departed and went on our way,

Speaker 1: and they all accompanied us, and we knelt down on

Speaker 1: the shore and prayed. Now they brought their children, their wives,

Speaker 1: a whole family. This was probably a huge crowd that

Speaker 1: was following after Paul after they told them not to go,

Speaker 1: but Paul was determined. This shows deep love in unity

Speaker 1: in the Body of Christ. Families were included. Heymen, now

Speaker 1: look at the scene. You had men, you had women, children,

Speaker 1: all praying together. This is what we call community. This

Speaker 1: is how it's supposed to look in the body. Our

Speaker 1: children should be participating in this. At times when we

Speaker 1: go to church and prayer is going forward, the children

Speaker 1: sit in the audience silent, like disengaged, board playing on

Speaker 1: their phone things like that. And there's been times when

Speaker 1: we've called on the children to go to the mic

Speaker 1: and pray and the children were like, uh uh, there's

Speaker 1: some children they were just you know, stumbling over the

Speaker 1: mic and they I mean, you think we told them

Speaker 1: to jump off a cliff or something, And so I mean,

Speaker 1: I know, I get it. I'm not picking on our

Speaker 1: children in ministry. I know we have to train them,

Speaker 1: we have to be patient with them. We have to
19:18
Speaker 1: cultivate this in there. But this is how it is

Speaker 1: supposed to look in the Book of Acts. We're all

Speaker 1: together in one accord and unified. It's not about church attendance.

Speaker 1: It's about being a family in Christ. Amen. Now verse six,

Speaker 1: when we had taken our leave of one another, we

Speaker 1: boarded the ship and they returned home. Amen. There's peace

Speaker 1: in obedience, even when it involves separation. Hallelujah. They didn't

Speaker 1: agree with the decision. They wanted Paul to stay, so

Speaker 1: there was some disagreement there, but they still had peace.

Speaker 1: Even though they disagreed with the decision. They still loved him.

Speaker 1: The love was not removed from the situation. There is

Speaker 1: no contention or strife. They didn't just throw them away

Speaker 1: as an apostle. They didn't cancel him. You know what

Speaker 1: they call it cancel culture. Paul was not canceled. They

Speaker 1: still prayed for him, and they still released him. They

Speaker 1: walked with him to the edge of the city and

Speaker 1: bowed down and prayed, and they released them to God.

Speaker 1: And I think we would be better if we learn

Speaker 1: this today, at least meet at least personally. I can

Speaker 1: say this, if I learned to release and give things

Speaker 1: over to God, there will be less stress in my life.

Speaker 1: I think we will have less pressure, less worries, less

Speaker 1: concerns when we can release things over to the Lord,

Speaker 1: even in disagreement. This is what we call maturity, and

Speaker 1: this is the work of sanctification. God wants to mature us.

Speaker 1: He doesn't want us to remain babes in Christ. He

Speaker 1: wants us to get to the place of maturity. Amen.

Speaker 1: And even I can say this myself, even being a

Speaker 1: married man. Amen. There's times when there's disagreement come up

Speaker 1: between my wife and I, and we had some disagreements

Speaker 1: when we went to Detroit and some of the activities.

Speaker 1: Sometimes we had our disagreements in the car trying to

Speaker 1: determine what to do and things like that. And at

Speaker 1: times I just like, you know what, let me get

Speaker 1: out the car and I just need to go walk

Speaker 1: it off. Like we can be in the middle of

Speaker 1: nowhere and I'm just just get out the car and

Speaker 1: start walking, you know. But my wife is able to

Speaker 1: talk me down, talk me out of it. I didn't

Speaker 1: get out. I didn't leave her stranded in Detroit now.

Speaker 1: But I need to be able to release things. And

Speaker 1: even though we disagree, there shouldn't be any contention. There

Speaker 1: should be love, there should be patience, there should be

Speaker 1: a release there. So you know what, I just give
