- 0:00Speaker 1: Ben Higgins and Ashley I bring you Infamous. Sometimes roses
- 0:05Speaker 1: are red flags.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Welcome back to Infamous Today. Our story continues with Annalise
- 0:11Speaker 2: Puccini Annalis, Hello, how are you?
- 0:15Speaker 3: I'm good. How are you guys doing good?
- 0:18Speaker 2: We're good. We're doing this behind the scenes of the
- 0:20Speaker 2: Bachelor thing. So we wanted to revisit a whole bunch
- 0:23Speaker 2: of scenes throughout the history of the show that people
- 0:28Speaker 2: remember as some of the most dramatic, and one of
- 0:30Speaker 2: those scenes is you and Camille breaking up on the
- 0:35Speaker 2: live show, the reunion show of Bachelor and Paradise. So
- 0:38Speaker 2: that's what we really want to concentrate on with you today.
- 0:41Speaker 3: Okay, all right, So I love those moments.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yeah, this is it is a bit. It's been a bit,
- 0:48Speaker 2: it's been a minute. Is it as traumatic? I guess
- 0:52Speaker 2: it's not as traumatic now in your memories as it
- 0:55Speaker 2: was in the moment. Is it something that it has
- 0:57Speaker 2: affected you to this day?
- 1:00Speaker 3: I would say it has not affected me to this day.
- 1:03Speaker 3: But it's weird how like live TV is because I
- 1:06Speaker 3: don't know if you I'm sure you both experienced this,
- 1:09Speaker 3: but like some of the moments that happened, you totally
- 1:12Speaker 3: think went like a little bit of a different way.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Like I knew it was bad, but I didn't realize
- 1:17Speaker 3: how bad it was until I watched it back, and
- 1:19Speaker 3: then I was like, oh my god, that was actually terrible,
- 1:23Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like you get this weird,
- 1:25Speaker 3: like almost amnesia from the event because your body's like
- 1:28Speaker 3: protecting you, so you're being like that was really bad.
- 1:32Speaker 3: But I remember in the moment being like, Okay, this
- 1:35Speaker 3: is awful, but I think it was almost worse watching
- 1:38Speaker 3: it back.
- 1:39Speaker 2: So I always think that I'm being cooler in the
- 1:43Speaker 2: live moment, and then I watch it back and it's like, nothing,
- 1:46Speaker 2: You're not that cool.
- 1:47Speaker 3: This is the one time, probably ever that that editing
- 1:52Speaker 3: was fully in my favor I felt, because I actually
- 1:56Speaker 3: felt like I was I was so just thrown off
- 1:59Speaker 3: that like the live show, I was stuttering and stumbling
- 2:03Speaker 3: over my words and feeling like not composed. And then
- 2:07Speaker 3: I remember watching it back and I was like, oh, yeah, okay, yes,
- 2:11Speaker 3: you like held your own you did really well, you know,
- 2:14Speaker 3: so composed, so clear, not how I felt at all
- 2:18Speaker 3: in the live show.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Let's start at the beginning, though, Let's start to kind
- 2:21Speaker 1: of give everybody who watched this. It's a memorable moment.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It's on all the lists we found of most dramatic, memorable,
- 2:31Speaker 1: iconic moments in Bachelor history. But for those who watched
- 2:36Speaker 1: it can remember a little bit of it, but don't
- 2:38Speaker 1: remember the relationship, because I'll be honest, I don't remember
- 2:40Speaker 1: your relationship together very well. Start at the beginning, when
- 2:45Speaker 1: you guys first met, and I'm gonna and we're gonna
- 2:49Speaker 1: kind of filter in some questions based on kind of
- 2:51Speaker 1: what you're talking about when it comes to when you
- 2:53Speaker 1: met him on the beach in Paradise.
- 2:57Speaker 3: So I remember, like when producers were talking to me
- 3:01Speaker 3: before even going on and they were like, who are you?
- 3:04Speaker 3: Who would you like to see? And I knew nothing
- 3:05Speaker 3: about him because he had gone home night one of
- 3:09Speaker 3: Becca season, and so I didn't I didn't know anything
- 3:13Speaker 3: about him, but I, like, you know, had snooped on
- 3:14Speaker 3: his Instagram, and I thought, he definitely seems like my type,
- 3:18Speaker 3: which maybe that should have been right right then Verica
- 3:21Speaker 3: telling don't be interested. But so he was somebody that
- 3:25Speaker 3: I was like, I am attracted to him. He seems
- 3:27Speaker 3: like he travels and like does cool things, you know,
- 3:32Speaker 3: and so I was hopeful and then he did show up,
- 3:34Speaker 3: and I remember I think I had just I think
- 3:39Speaker 3: Kenny and I had just sort of split ways, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: I was just like, well, this is like the end
- 3:42Speaker 3: of my paradise, like trick this, you know, this time around,
- 3:47Speaker 3: this is it for me. There's no one else. And
- 3:49Speaker 3: then he showed up, and I was like thanking the
- 3:52Speaker 3: paradise gods that he showed up and we I mean,
- 3:55Speaker 3: sometimes you just know that, like you and somebody are
- 3:58Speaker 3: gonna have chemistry, you know, And I just I think
- 4:01Speaker 3: that's what I was thinking when I told producers also
- 4:04Speaker 3: that he was somebody that I would be interested in,
- 4:06Speaker 3: because I just kind of knew that person, like in
- 4:11Speaker 3: a very vague way, like I knew his type, you know.
- 4:15Speaker 3: So when he showed up, I felt like, yes, we connected,
- 4:18Speaker 3: we had chemistry. I think probably the reason people didn't
- 4:23Speaker 3: know our relationship that much was because I feel like
- 4:25Speaker 3: we didn't get a ton of airtime, which is fine.
- 4:30Speaker 3: There was more interesting things probably happening. We were, honestly
- 4:32Speaker 3: just like laying on the sun beds quite often, like
- 4:36Speaker 3: having conversations. I don't even really remember. It was like
- 4:39Speaker 3: it felt very like a summer camp boyfriend if I'm
- 4:44Speaker 3: thinking back to it, like you know, not the not
- 4:47Speaker 3: the guy I'm gonna marry, but like we had fun,
- 4:50Speaker 3: we had chemistry. We were just like silly together. That's
- 4:53Speaker 3: what I remember anyways. So I think I think like
- 4:58Speaker 3: we both knew going into like the Last day of
- 5:00Speaker 3: Paradise when the engagements and things happened like that was
- 5:03Speaker 3: probably not gonna happen for us. But but because we
- 5:07Speaker 3: were just having fun, and that's exactly what happened.
- 5:11Speaker 2: I remember at Winter Games, they were always trying to
- 5:15Speaker 2: get me to like say big things. You know, they
- 5:18Speaker 2: were trying to make me They weren't trying to I
- 5:22Speaker 2: don't know. Maybe they were trying to make me exaggerate
- 5:24Speaker 2: my feelings, but they really wanted me to be like,
- 5:26Speaker 2: this is it. I found my person where I was like, no, no,
- 5:30Speaker 2: I found somebody who likes me back, and that seems
- 5:32Speaker 2: pretty cool, but like, I don't know about how it's
- 5:34Speaker 2: going to be when we get out of here, but
- 5:36Speaker 2: it feels nice to be liked right now. You know.
- 5:38Speaker 2: That was like what I was truly feeling. But then
- 5:40Speaker 2: you're in the interview room and they're like, but like,
- 5:46Speaker 2: do you think this is the one. How much of
- 5:49Speaker 2: that were you experiencing with Camille Constant.
- 5:52Speaker 3: Oh my god, Like the pressure to say I love
- 5:54Speaker 3: you or they're the one, or I've never felt this
- 5:58Speaker 3: way before. It's hilarious because I do remember, like one
- 6:00Speaker 3: of the things that I was sort of known for
- 6:02Speaker 3: after that season was like saying, I've never felt like
- 6:05Speaker 3: this before. And it cracks me up because I still
- 6:08Speaker 3: defend it though, because I'm like, yeah, maybe I didn't
- 6:11Speaker 3: feel that way, like the way I was feeling about
- 6:13Speaker 3: that person, maybe I hadn't felt that way before, But
- 6:17Speaker 3: it didn't mean that like those words were attached to
- 6:20Speaker 3: I love you or like this was my person. It
- 6:22Speaker 3: was just like, yeah, this is a new feeling, like
- 6:24Speaker 3: I'm feeling excited about this person because of X or
- 6:27Speaker 3: whatever like it, you know. But yeah, there was a
- 6:30Speaker 3: lot of pressure, and I remember those conversations and just
- 6:32Speaker 3: there were times that I was like I don't I
- 6:34Speaker 3: just like, is it okay just to be like I
- 6:36Speaker 3: don't know. But it was not like those are not
- 6:38Speaker 3: the answers that they wanted to get.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Do you feel like I mean you both said that
- 6:51Speaker 1: you've had this experience where you sit down and it's
- 6:54Speaker 1: it is very common for the producers to want you
- 6:58Speaker 1: to say these big claims. Do you feel like that
- 7:01Speaker 1: works or was it more of you just trying to
- 7:05Speaker 1: get out of the room as quickly as possible so
- 7:08Speaker 1: that you're not sitting in an ITM room? Or do
- 7:10Speaker 1: you feel like them kind of saying this and saying
- 7:13Speaker 1: it like over and over again, day after day. Are
- 7:15Speaker 1: you feeling it yet? And then when I remember these
- 7:17Speaker 1: moments where maybe'd be like, I don't think I am,
- 7:20Speaker 1: and they'd be like really like almost like make you
- 7:23Speaker 1: feel like there's something wrong with you, and I'd be like, well,
- 7:24Speaker 1: maybe I do, maybe I should, I don't know. My
- 7:27Speaker 1: question is do you think that kind of strategy worked
- 7:30Speaker 1: or did it just make it, you know, push kind
- 7:33Speaker 1: of push you off?
- 7:35Speaker 2: To me? Yeah, it worked on me because I felt
- 7:41Speaker 2: like I was letting them down if I didn't feel
- 7:45Speaker 2: like they had helped me find my way, especially at
- 7:50Speaker 2: that point. So that was like my fourth season, right,
- 7:53Speaker 2: so they seemed so genuinely happy for me, and I
- 7:57Speaker 2: had known these producers they were such my as friends
- 8:01Speaker 2: that like I wanted them to be excited for me,
- 8:03Speaker 2: and maybe I was like it, I kind of want
- 8:05Speaker 2: to I know this sounds maybe egotistical, but like I
- 8:07Speaker 2: wanted the audience to be excited for me, and yeah,
- 8:13Speaker 2: I don't know. I just kind of went along with
- 8:15Speaker 2: it as much as I could consciously because I was
- 8:19Speaker 2: never going to say like words like I love you
- 8:21Speaker 2: or like I'm falling in love. I wasn't going to
- 8:23Speaker 2: use that, but I had I had felt that with
- 8:27Speaker 2: you know, Jared in Paradise.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I do feel like there's I mean, there's a lot
- 8:30Speaker 3: of things that happen, there's so many like tactics used,
- 8:33Speaker 3: right like the I think that there is the comparison,
- 8:36Speaker 3: like you're seeing these other people who are having these
- 8:38Speaker 3: big feelings and you're like, should I be there already?
- 8:42Speaker 3: And you know you already weird pressure cooker, which, like
- 8:45Speaker 3: I've always said, and I'm people say that all the time,
- 8:48Speaker 3: that like things happen there obviously at like a way
- 8:52Speaker 3: way crazy rate, and you're feeling so many things that
- 8:56Speaker 3: you normally wouldn't feel super quickly, and you feel like
- 8:58Speaker 3: you have to kind of like play people sometimes because
- 9:01Speaker 3: if you don't say, like this is the person that
- 9:03Speaker 3: I am like, especially on something like Paradise, like this
- 9:06Speaker 3: is the person that I'm here for and this is
- 9:07Speaker 3: the person I want to finish with. You're kind of
- 9:10Speaker 3: like saying like like what are you doing there? Then
- 9:13Speaker 3: you know, like to me, there felt like a little
- 9:15Speaker 3: bit of this pressure too, But yes, I do think
- 9:18Speaker 3: sometimes them saying like how do you feel? And are
- 9:21Speaker 3: you in love? And this and this? Like sometimes it
- 9:24Speaker 3: did the question sometimes made me go, hmm, maybe I
- 9:28Speaker 3: am more into this person than I thought. And then
- 9:30Speaker 3: other times it would do the opposite, and like they're
- 9:33Speaker 3: like the people that I would question, like maybe I
- 9:35Speaker 3: could be in love with this person, then I would
- 9:37Speaker 3: like follow that thought process people that I was like, no,
- 9:40Speaker 3: there's absolutely no way. I'm just having fun with them,
- 9:43Speaker 3: I think. Then sometimes those questions would like push me
- 9:45Speaker 3: to my answer of like no, I'm not really excited
- 9:49Speaker 3: about them, and that in like a proposal or like
- 9:52Speaker 3: something like that. At the end of this then it
- 9:54Speaker 3: felt scary.
- 9:56Speaker 2: Do you ever say? I remember moments where I was
- 9:58Speaker 2: I'm not gonna say that, like no guys like I
- 10:02Speaker 2: don't know, and then like they would just keep rewarding
- 10:06Speaker 2: the question to make you say and like at some
- 10:09Speaker 2: point you're just like all word it to the best
- 10:13Speaker 2: I can word it to feel okay about what you
- 10:16Speaker 2: want me to say.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and then you're like, I have very strong feelings,
- 10:20Speaker 3: my heart feels very full around them, Like you try
- 10:24Speaker 3: to dance around the question, and then they edit it
- 10:27Speaker 3: together and make you just sound like you're even crazier
- 10:29Speaker 3: because you're like, love it about them, and really you're
- 10:34Speaker 3: trying to say that you actually don't. You just love
- 10:36Speaker 3: qualities about them or something.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good, it's it's it works. I think it
- 10:42Speaker 1: could be the one of the reasons why the show
- 10:44Speaker 1: struggles is I do think it got a little overproduced
- 10:47Speaker 1: to where things are be like being forced to be
- 10:50Speaker 1: said that people are like, there's no way they actually
- 10:52Speaker 1: feel that, Like I don't see that. I can't relate
- 10:54Speaker 1: with that, and at least something that people can relate with. Though,
- 10:58Speaker 1: as we transition into obviously at this live show, but
- 11:02Speaker 1: also getting some background now and your more background on
- 11:05Speaker 1: your relationship with Camille, would you say, based on everything
- 11:08Speaker 1: we just talked about, then there was no faking it
- 11:11Speaker 1: with Camille. While in Paradise, there.
- 11:15Speaker 3: Was no faking it for me. I would say it
- 11:20Speaker 3: just wasn't like, especially looking back now, but when I
- 11:24Speaker 3: was in the moment, like I really I liked him.
- 11:26Speaker 3: I had a crush on him. I was like, he's cute.
- 11:29Speaker 3: I want to date this man. I don't know what
- 11:31Speaker 3: it's going to lead to, but I was excited about him,
- 11:34Speaker 3: like one hundred percent. I just was like, yeah, I
- 11:37Speaker 3: had those giddy butterflies and I was excited. Looking back
- 11:40Speaker 3: on it, I'm like, it was it was a very
- 11:42Speaker 3: like immature relationship in terms of like relationships I've been in,
- 11:47Speaker 3: and yeah, it was just like a part of my history.
- 11:51Speaker 1: But do you think he was faking it? Then? I mean, well,
- 11:53Speaker 1: we're going to get into what actually happens, you know,
- 11:56Speaker 1: in the live show. But you say, no, this was
- 11:59Speaker 1: real for you. But looking back, do you think it
- 12:01Speaker 1: was real for him when you were there?
- 12:03Speaker 3: I think that he had a crush on me too.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I think that we did. Now I'm nervous. I'm like,
- 12:07Speaker 3: are you guys gonna have him on and he's gonna
- 12:08Speaker 3: be like, no, I hate you're a friend.
- 12:14Speaker 1: I actually couldn't even remember him, So you're fine. I
- 12:17Speaker 1: don't think he's anywhere to be found.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean we had this is like jumping past
- 12:22Speaker 3: the live show, you know, Like I think it happens
- 12:28Speaker 3: a lot more nowadays, like people intertwine outside of the
- 12:32Speaker 3: show before and after being on shows. He and I
- 12:36Speaker 3: continued to talk after the breakup on the live show,
- 12:39Speaker 3: and I partially because I didn't really remember how bad
- 12:45Speaker 3: the breakup was, and so there was like there's this
- 12:47Speaker 3: time period between when the breakup happened and when it
- 12:49Speaker 3: actually aired because.
- 12:50Speaker 2: It wasn't a real live show. It was a pre
- 12:53Speaker 2: taped reunion show, right.
- 12:54Speaker 3: I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, sorry, yes, pre taped reunion show.
- 12:58Speaker 3: So at that show it was I think there was
- 13:00Speaker 3: still like a couple of weeks before it actually aired,
- 13:02Speaker 3: and I remember like during that time when the when
- 13:06Speaker 3: the breakup happened, I went back to my hotel room
- 13:10Speaker 3: and I called one of my best friends and she
- 13:13Speaker 3: and another one of my girlfriends, they both flew down
- 13:15Speaker 3: and like got a hotel and we ended up doing
- 13:18Speaker 3: a girls trip and having such a good time and
- 13:21Speaker 3: like because they were like, we want you to still
- 13:22Speaker 3: do all the Bachelor things, because that was the thing.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Like after that reunion, everyone was going to all these
- 13:27Speaker 3: parties and stuff together and I was like, I want
- 13:28Speaker 3: to be a part of it, but I'm part broken.
- 13:30Speaker 3: So I'm not going to write and they were like, no,
- 13:33Speaker 3: We're going to come down and just support you and
- 13:35Speaker 3: like be there for you. And all the girls from
- 13:38Speaker 3: my season like really rallied around me, and it was
- 13:40Speaker 3: it was it ended up being fun. I don't think
- 13:43Speaker 3: like it had hit me yet. I was still a
- 13:45Speaker 3: little bit in denial. And during that time they were like,
- 13:49Speaker 3: he had been talking to me. He was like, I
- 13:51Speaker 3: really want to apologize to you, blah blah blah, you know,
- 13:54Speaker 3: trying to reach out to me. And so so there
- 13:59Speaker 3: was a day that my friends talked to him on
- 14:02Speaker 3: the beach for like two hours. They were like, Annaly's
- 14:04Speaker 3: go for a walk and they talked to him. He
- 14:06Speaker 3: and I went on a hike with them, and during
- 14:09Speaker 3: that time like and this is where I'm I'm I'm
- 14:11Speaker 3: bringing this up because this is where I think he
- 14:14Speaker 3: had real feelings for me. I don't think if he
- 14:16Speaker 3: was faking it this whole time, I don't think he
- 14:18Speaker 3: would have gone to the trouble of like staying in
- 14:19Speaker 3: my life. My dad had passed away, like right after
- 14:23Speaker 3: the Union show aired. A couple weeks later, he had passed.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Kamille was one of the first people to like call
- 14:28Speaker 3: and send a card. So as much as like I
- 14:31Speaker 3: would love to to be like, uh, you know that guy,
- 14:35Speaker 3: I hate him whatever, like, I do think that there
- 14:38Speaker 3: was a part of him that cared about me.
- 14:40Speaker 2: Okay, so let's rewind a little bit. In between Paradise filming,
- 14:46Speaker 2: rapping and the reunion show, did you guys see each other?
- 14:50Speaker 2: What were those hangouts like if.
- 14:52Speaker 3: Yes, yes, I'm trying to remember.
- 14:55Speaker 2: I think he went to New York.
- 14:56Speaker 3: I went to New York, But I don't remember if
- 14:59Speaker 3: there was any other times that we saw each I
- 15:02Speaker 3: don't think there were.
- 15:03Speaker 2: You were talking about like I know, there's a quote
- 15:06Speaker 2: that you said that we're doing long distance. It's difficult,
- 15:08Speaker 2: but we're still pretty happy.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's we're just talking every day on the phone.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I went out to New York. I was there for
- 15:16Speaker 3: I think a couple of weeks. And yeah, I mean,
- 15:20Speaker 3: like I say, but it's like when you're on Paradise,
- 15:23Speaker 3: you have no bills to pay, you have no responsibilities,
- 15:26Speaker 3: you're not cooking food like you you know, it's just
- 15:29Speaker 3: it's it is vacation in a lot of ways. And
- 15:32Speaker 3: so then coming back to the real world and like
- 15:35Speaker 3: trying to make money again and just get back into life.
- 15:41Speaker 3: I think that's where I started to also be like, Okay,
- 15:44Speaker 3: this is like still fun, Like I like him, I
- 15:47Speaker 3: still have a crush on him. But that's where I
- 15:48Speaker 3: started to be like, I don't know if this will
- 15:50Speaker 3: work in terms of like how are which city would
- 15:53Speaker 3: we move to? You know, like would we have kids,
- 15:57Speaker 3: would we get married? I just didn't know if I
- 15:59Speaker 3: saw those things all of a sudden, like fitting into
- 16:03Speaker 3: my life and me fitting into his life.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Outside of the fact that he did it, sounds like
- 16:09Speaker 1: he did the best he could with the post breakup moment.
- 16:12Speaker 1: The post the breakup moment was memorable, shocking. Some would
- 16:16Speaker 1: say uh and talked about a lot coming off of
- 16:20Speaker 1: that live show. So let's talk about the moment. Going
- 16:24Speaker 1: into that evening. Did you have any expectations that your
- 16:28Speaker 1: relationship was going to be ending on live television that night?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Not whatsoever? None, like not, There wasn't even a part
- 16:35Speaker 3: of me because we had talked about it, and I
- 16:38Speaker 3: remember him saying like I can't be manipulated like that,
- 16:41Speaker 3: like you know, no, I'm not going to do it.
- 16:44Speaker 3: I think I think he really didn't want to be
- 16:46Speaker 3: like the bad guy. And I think that's where I
- 16:52Speaker 3: think how producers maybe got into his head was making
- 16:57Speaker 3: him feel like he was going to be doing the
- 16:59Speaker 3: right thing by breaking up with me. I remember like
- 17:04Speaker 3: him saying producers told him like, if you do this,
- 17:07Speaker 3: like you're going to be the hero because then she
- 17:09Speaker 3: could be the bachelorette or things like that, and so
- 17:11Speaker 3: I think he thought like, oh, okay, if this is
- 17:13Speaker 3: not like the for me, like I'm gonna and so
- 17:16Speaker 3: he actually had said to me after the readingion show,
- 17:20Speaker 3: he was like, I I thought like I was doing
- 17:23Speaker 3: the right thing by you. Like I thought it was
- 17:24Speaker 3: going to be a good thing. I thought people were
- 17:26Speaker 3: going to be like happy that I did this, which
- 17:29Speaker 3: is such like a weird concept, but I mean I
- 17:32Speaker 3: can kind of understand it a little bit. But they
- 17:35Speaker 3: put me in a room with with Jenna, and I
- 17:40Speaker 3: think that was it, and she was like she was engaged,
- 17:44Speaker 3: and so my hype room was like, You're gonna get
- 17:47Speaker 3: engaged tonight, and I was like, no, I'm not. I like,
- 17:49Speaker 3: I know, at least we're not there, you know, we
- 17:52Speaker 3: might leave here being like yeah, we're still together. But
- 17:57Speaker 3: but I didn't think that and then he was in
- 18:00Speaker 3: a room by himself, and I think he was getting
- 18:03Speaker 3: like talked to in a very different way. It was like,
- 18:06Speaker 3: you're going to be doing the right thing, and you
- 18:08Speaker 3: know she's a nice person, but is she the love
- 18:11Speaker 3: of your life? You know? I think it was very different.
- 18:24Speaker 2: You said I even talked to him about this. Yeah,
- 18:29Speaker 2: like you had been worried that possibly he would break
- 18:32Speaker 2: up with you on the live show.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Well, the thing is so like going into it, we
- 18:35Speaker 3: had we were dating, you know, like, but we weren't.
- 18:39Speaker 3: I didn't think we were getting engaged anytime soon. And
- 18:42Speaker 3: we were kind of like we're good, but we're not great.
- 18:47Speaker 3: We weren't in like the best of place when it
- 18:49Speaker 3: was coming to the live show. And he was like
- 18:52Speaker 3: when he had gone on back a season, he had
- 18:54Speaker 3: not watched any of the Bachelor, Bachelorette, Paradise anything. He
- 18:58Speaker 3: was like super unfamiliar, and so he just always was
- 19:00Speaker 3: like I got this, like it's fine, and and I'm
- 19:03Speaker 3: like no, no, no, like they if they want this
- 19:06Speaker 3: to happen, they will make it happen. And he's like no, no, no,
- 19:09Speaker 3: I can't be I can't be, Like but they can't
- 19:13Speaker 3: do that to me. So so it was a little
- 19:16Speaker 3: bit more of just like a, hey, you know, if
- 19:19Speaker 3: this is what they're thinking, like, don't do it. Let's
- 19:22Speaker 3: like just break up outside of the show in a
- 19:25Speaker 3: couple of weeks if that's what needs to happen, But
- 19:27Speaker 3: like we don't need to have it happen on live TV.
- 19:29Speaker 3: So it wasn't like I expected it to happen. It
- 19:31Speaker 3: was more just a you're not familiar with the show
- 19:34Speaker 3: and how this works, and it could happen. You know,
- 19:36Speaker 3: it could happen to anyone.
- 19:38Speaker 1: That's scary. I mean, I'm sure like even going into it,
- 19:42Speaker 1: like once you had that conversation, I'm guessing you felt,
- 19:45Speaker 1: you know, comfortable and like, Okay, at least I don't
- 19:47Speaker 1: have to go intonight knowing I'm gonna get broken up
- 19:49Speaker 1: with He's confident saying no, they cannot even convince me
- 19:53Speaker 1: to do that. It shows the power of convince it
- 19:56Speaker 1: convincing that they have over people. And so as he
- 20:01Speaker 1: starts to speak and as you start to realize that
- 20:05Speaker 1: he's breaking up with me, what is your memory of
- 20:10Speaker 1: the emotions and the thoughts going through your head.
- 20:14Speaker 3: I remember I was just sitting you know, in the
- 20:16Speaker 3: hot seat, and they had done it also in a
- 20:19Speaker 3: way where like the first half of the show I
- 20:21Speaker 3: was out with the cast, sitting in the panel. Yeah,
- 20:26Speaker 3: and then they had me go up to the hot seat,
- 20:28Speaker 3: just me and Chris Harrison, and we're just chatting and
- 20:33Speaker 3: you know, all the things have the relationship. Oh, it's good,
- 20:37Speaker 3: Like you know, it's not great, but it's good. Like
- 20:39Speaker 3: I was honest about it. I wasn't like, oh my god,
- 20:41Speaker 3: we're so in love and blah blah blah. And then
- 20:45Speaker 3: they brought him out and like the minute I saw
- 20:47Speaker 3: him walk out, I just felt like a gut punch,
- 20:49Speaker 3: like you know, and I just remember being like, oh god,
- 20:55Speaker 3: this does not feel good. When the words started to
- 20:56Speaker 3: actually come out of his mouth. I remember Chris Harrison
- 20:59Speaker 3: saying to me, what do you want to do now?
- 21:01Speaker 3: And I was like, get off this stage. Like I'll
- 21:03Speaker 3: never remember that feeling. I was like, I don't want
- 21:06Speaker 3: to talk like this is this is not what I
- 21:09Speaker 3: want to happen right now. I'm not trying to like
- 21:11Speaker 3: bare my soul and have like a break up happen
- 21:14Speaker 3: in the plot seat. Yeah. So I and I just
- 21:18Speaker 3: remember feeling like all the life left my body for
- 21:22Speaker 3: a second, like and that's why I wanted to get
- 21:24Speaker 3: off the stage. So I don't I don't have words
- 21:26Speaker 3: like I need to remove myself from the situation. And
- 21:28Speaker 3: I didn't. I was I did not want to come
- 21:30Speaker 3: back on stage, but but I was backstage with a
- 21:34Speaker 3: producer and they were like, no, you need to go
- 21:37Speaker 3: back out and like confront him.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Uh.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And that's where I sort of had like a big,
- 21:42Speaker 3: very memorable moment.
- 21:45Speaker 2: It was very empowering. You seemed very confident you. It
- 21:50Speaker 2: definitely had a future bachelorette moment there. What did the
- 21:55Speaker 2: producer tell you? Did they give you lines? No?
- 21:59Speaker 3: She said to me, like this is going to be
- 22:02Speaker 3: a very like female empowerment moment if you go out
- 22:06Speaker 3: and like stand up for yourself. And I think there
- 22:09Speaker 3: was like a moment that I was like, yeah, I
- 22:11Speaker 3: don't want to just end it walking off the stage
- 22:14Speaker 3: and like letting that be my story, and.
- 22:17Speaker 1: So it was.
- 22:18Speaker 3: I mean, I think the thing true is that like
- 22:21Speaker 3: I was, I was always known to be like the
- 22:23Speaker 3: girl that was crying, and like I didn't I needed to,
- 22:27Speaker 3: Like I'm so glad I did take that second to
- 22:28Speaker 3: step off the stage. Because I needed to compose myself
- 22:33Speaker 3: for two seconds and if I was going to go
- 22:35Speaker 3: back out there, like take that time and come back out.
- 22:38Speaker 3: So I'm glad I did and and yeah, but it
- 22:41Speaker 3: was not It was not easy. That was a rough night.
- 22:44Speaker 2: I need I need to ask you something, as you
- 22:46Speaker 2: and I had sort of similar caricatures. Did you feel like, man,
- 22:55Speaker 2: they're doing this to me again. They're putting me in
- 22:58Speaker 2: a situation to get dumped and be this sad girl again.
- 23:02Speaker 3: In that moment, I wasn't thinking about anything, like I
- 23:05Speaker 3: literally was just thinking, my boyfriend is breaking up with
- 23:08Speaker 3: me in front of However, nine million people I think
- 23:12Speaker 3: were like, what we're watching? That's all I was thinking,
- 23:15Speaker 3: was just like what a freakin' gut punch and what like. Yeah,
- 23:21Speaker 3: I don't think I was thinking anything, but after the fact, yes,
- 23:25Speaker 3: I was like I can't believe that that that happened
- 23:29Speaker 3: again kind of thing.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, I remember in Bachelor of Paradise three, not
- 23:34Speaker 2: even at the beginning when I was like seeing Jared
- 23:37Speaker 2: date people. I was like, it was towards the end
- 23:41Speaker 2: where I was like, you, guys, I like looked at them,
- 23:44Speaker 2: I like looked at them behind the camera and I
- 23:46Speaker 2: was like, you're fucking doing it again. You know this
- 23:50Speaker 2: is outrageous. I know exactly what you're doing right now.
- 23:52Speaker 2: This is outrageous. Yeah, you just want me to stay
- 23:55Speaker 2: in the same box every season. I know, let me
- 23:59Speaker 2: have a gross home it time out.
- 24:01Speaker 1: Ashley was still convinced though all four times she went
- 24:05Speaker 1: on that they were trying to help her find love.
- 24:09Speaker 1: The reason she could be so easily convinced because she's like, oh,
- 24:12Speaker 1: I don't want to disappoint them because they're trying so
- 24:15Speaker 1: hard to find love. And then at the same time,
- 24:17Speaker 1: when you're earlier, she was like, you're messing me over again.
- 24:20Speaker 2: Now, what is wrong with me? Sometimes I can see
- 24:24Speaker 2: the light. There are certain moments I see the light.
- 24:26Speaker 3: Certain moments, but when they call you, Like if they
- 24:29Speaker 3: called me tomorrow and said we have someone amazing for
- 24:32Speaker 3: you going on Paradise, I'd be like, oh my god,
- 24:36Speaker 3: this is my chance.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah wild Bachelor of Paradise three. You guys, you're fucking crazy.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Be calls me again like nine months later, Hey, want
- 24:46Speaker 2: did you something else?
- 24:47Speaker 1: I mean yes, I like to.
- 24:50Speaker 3: I mean it all led you to your person, so.
- 24:53Speaker 2: I know, yeah, yeah.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I don't reund about mess up way.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, every step was critical and appreciated. Yeah, I just
- 25:03Speaker 2: see the humor.
- 25:04Speaker 1: In it now, it's all funny. Speaking of humor, Lauren Ziema,
- 25:10Speaker 1: Chris Harrison's now wonderful wife, had a tweet at the
- 25:14Speaker 1: time because you had said that you thought you were
- 25:17Speaker 1: getting an Airbnb with your boyfriend during this you know,
- 25:22Speaker 1: right after the show. Instead, now you're getting broken up
- 25:24Speaker 1: with she makes a tweet to Airbnb saying they need
- 25:28Speaker 1: to hook you up with an Airbnb for you and
- 25:31Speaker 1: yourself or your friends or whatever. Did they do it? Yeah,
- 25:34Speaker 1: did it come through?
- 25:35Speaker 3: Oh, it was the best. So again, like going back
- 25:38Speaker 3: to that time period, it was a really dark period
- 25:40Speaker 3: for me because the breakup happened, then a couple of
- 25:43Speaker 3: weeks later the breakup aired, Then a couple weeks later,
- 25:47Speaker 3: my dad passed away, and so I was like not
- 25:50Speaker 3: in a place to do anything, Like, I was just
- 25:53Speaker 3: in a very depressed place and I so I kind
- 25:58Speaker 3: of put off the Airbnb thing just because I like,
- 26:01Speaker 3: I didn't want to go and go on a trip.
- 26:04Speaker 3: That's not where my mind was. So I took advantage
- 26:07Speaker 3: of it a little bit later, but they were like
- 26:10Speaker 3: wherever you want to go, here's the budget. I ended
- 26:14Speaker 3: up choosing a goat farm in Tama's Bay, which is
- 26:19Speaker 3: northern California, and a couple of my girlfriends came. It
- 26:24Speaker 3: was the most amazing time. It was just a girls trip.
- 26:27Speaker 3: We hiked every day. There was like farm animals everywhere
- 26:32Speaker 3: we got to milk Goat. I had this like dinner
- 26:36Speaker 3: party the last night where I invited all the farmers.
- 26:39Speaker 3: It was a female run farm and all of the
- 26:41Speaker 3: farmers came and I was like, okay, but the theme
- 26:44Speaker 3: is like glitter and animal print and they all came
- 26:47Speaker 3: in like their overalls and stuff about like we don't
- 26:49Speaker 3: have anything, and I'm like, I got you. I got
- 26:51Speaker 3: costumes go lore. So we like put them in sequence
- 26:54Speaker 3: and it was like it was just the most fun.
- 26:57Speaker 3: I just needed like a wholesome week with my girlfriends
- 27:01Speaker 3: and at that time, that's really what I needed and
- 27:03Speaker 3: it was perfect.
- 27:05Speaker 1: That's awesome, that's super good. Good for Airbnb for coming
- 27:08Speaker 1: through on that.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Yeah, thank god.
- 27:12Speaker 1: It was the one.
- 27:13Speaker 3: It was literally the one perk I got from this entire.
- 27:18Speaker 1: The analyse and closing here, I think we're gonna ask
- 27:21Speaker 1: everybody some question that's similar to this one kind of
- 27:25Speaker 1: to close out you. Obviously, we just walked through You
- 27:28Speaker 1: had this Bachelor in Paradise moment you met Neil. Things
- 27:31Speaker 1: were good. You walk into the live show not expecting
- 27:34Speaker 1: to get broken up with in front of national television,
- 27:37Speaker 1: and you did and it was heartbreaking. Looking back now,
- 27:42Speaker 1: is there anything that happened that was inauthentic to you,
- 27:48Speaker 1: anything that you wish you would have done differently, or
- 27:51Speaker 1: anything that you now see how and we kind of
- 27:55Speaker 1: talked about it, how production or how the show really
- 27:58Speaker 1: they didn't force you to do any thing, but they're
- 28:01Speaker 1: really good at guiding you to do the things that
- 28:03Speaker 1: they want you to do. And just like Ashley the same,
- 28:06Speaker 1: you know, with the big statements on love and you
- 28:09Speaker 1: were staying with the things that they were asking you
- 28:12Speaker 1: to say about love. They do a really good job
- 28:15Speaker 1: at guiding you to a place that they want you.
- 28:17Speaker 1: So now, looking back, was there anything any decision you made,
- 28:21Speaker 1: anything you said that was inauthentic to you that you
- 28:24Speaker 1: wish you could do differently?
- 28:26Speaker 3: I mean, I feel like there's so many things that
- 28:28Speaker 3: I wish I could have done differently, inauthentic. I mean, yeah,
- 28:33Speaker 3: there were probably times where I was just like I
- 28:36Speaker 3: really I was like, I'm so done getting questioned. You know,
- 28:40Speaker 3: there's times that you're doing interviews at like three in
- 28:43Speaker 3: the morning. They can be after rose ceremonies and you're tired,
- 28:46Speaker 3: and you're just like, yeah, like I like them, don't.
- 28:49Speaker 3: I don't know whatever, whatever it is. So I'm sure
- 28:51Speaker 3: there was moments. I think the thing is like looking
- 28:54Speaker 3: back at the whole experience I was, it was a
- 28:57Speaker 3: long time ago. I have grown a lot. I think
- 29:00Speaker 3: I was so much more of a people pleaser then.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I think I was so much more of a yes
- 29:05Speaker 3: person back then, and I think, yeah, like if I could,
- 29:10Speaker 3: if I was doing it differently now, like, yeah, I
- 29:13Speaker 3: think people would see a very different person because the
- 29:15Speaker 3: person back then was was not quite as sure of herself.
- 29:20Speaker 3: I think I was also like really afraid that things
- 29:22Speaker 3: would be edited in a certain way, so I was
- 29:24Speaker 3: very careful about what I said instead of just being
- 29:27Speaker 3: like sciruit, I'm going to be myself and like be
- 29:29Speaker 3: funny and hope that that works.
- 29:34Speaker 1: You know.
- 29:35Speaker 2: Yeah, all right, well, antalis As, we did want to
- 29:38Speaker 2: concern that we still want to know where you are
- 29:40Speaker 2: today as far as relationship goes, because it's so tied
- 29:44Speaker 2: in with who you were as we know you from
- 29:47Speaker 2: the show.
- 29:48Speaker 3: I mean, I wish that I had great news for
- 29:50Speaker 3: you guys, but I am single, ready to mingle. It
- 29:53Speaker 3: is so rough out there. I have been stood out
- 29:55Speaker 3: twice in the past, like a couple of weeks. So yeah,
- 30:00Speaker 3: it hasn't been great. And I've been on one official
- 30:04Speaker 3: date in twenty twenty five. So my twenty twenty five
- 30:08Speaker 3: is my year of like, send me, send me somebody good.
- 30:11Speaker 3: If you if you have a single dad at the
- 30:14Speaker 3: elementary school, if you got like a you know, a friend,
- 30:16Speaker 3: a neighbor, send him my way.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I'll tell you this not good news for us. We
- 30:21Speaker 1: don't like to hear that news from you. We want
- 30:23Speaker 1: you to be happy in lovet But for somebody out there,
- 30:27Speaker 1: the fact that you're single is very good news for them.
- 30:31Speaker 3: Yes that's right, Yes, that's true.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yes, you look like a young Denise Richards right now.
- 30:36Speaker 3: Really, yeah, I was thinking, Ben, there's I'm like, what
- 30:40Speaker 3: is his name? Enrique? And Gracias? Is that who I'm thinking?
- 30:44Speaker 3: Who's married at the blonde. That's what you're giving today.
- 30:47Speaker 2: In a corner Cova yeh, I see that. Oh my god, wait,
- 30:50Speaker 2: why does he look like en Rigue right now?
- 30:53Speaker 3: I'm like, throw a mole, like, yeah.
- 30:56Speaker 2: I think it's the v neck when that's awesome.
- 31:00Speaker 1: You're talking about me. So I look like Enrique?
- 31:02Speaker 3: You definitely do.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Hannah's laughing so hard in the background because you do.
- 31:08Speaker 2: We need to put a mole on him and it
- 31:10Speaker 2: would be like uncanny. I would have never thought that
- 31:14Speaker 2: Ben would look like Enrique Gilsias, but he does.
- 31:16Speaker 3: It's like I'm kidding to I can't not see it.
- 31:19Speaker 2: It's crazy me neither me neither. Oh my god. Fun
- 31:23Speaker 2: way to wrap this up?
- 31:24Speaker 1: Yeah, goodness, gracious, Hey everybody, this has been the Almost
