- 0:41emotions and our mind. God, give us an unoffendable
- 0:44spirit. God, let us go through this
- 0:46life, Lord, completely endued and indwelled with the Holy
- 0:50Spirit filling us. God overflowing into the streets
- 0:54and into the highways and into the byways, the workplaces, our
- 0:57families, our homes, our marriages.
- 0:59God, the relationships with our kids, Lord, with our coworkers,
- 1:03Father, bringing the prodigals home.
- 1:05Lord, I pray you, strengthen the church, strengthen marriages.
- 1:08God, help the women to choose life today.
- 1:12God, I pray for righteous leaders to be in office.
- 1:16Lord, I pray that you'll continue, Lord, to propagate
- 1:20your word throughout all generations, through all people
- 1:23groups, God, throughout all countries, every single
- 1:27continent, God singing out Yahweh everlasting Yeshua.
- 1:31Lord, we pray that you'll continue to fan the flame.
- 1:35God, that the gates of hell will never prevail against your
- 1:39church. The ecclesia, the called out
- 1:42ones, the ones that are called into full time ministry.
- 1:45God, help us to love our neighbors as our self.
- 1:48Help us to love you more than anything else, more than life
- 1:51itself. God, we love you.
- 1:53Father, teach us your ways. Lord, come and show us your
- 1:56eternal righteous paths. God, Show us, Lord, what it is
- 2:00to be men and women who are called by your name, Little
- 2:04Christ, God, Christians in this land, Christians, God, for this
- 2:08generation, for such a time as this, we thank you God for all
- 2:12the protection. We thank you God for waking us
- 2:14up and putting us on our feet. We thank you God for life and
- 2:18life eternal for the down payment of the Holy Spirit.
- 2:21We thank you that you are real and you are trustworthy and
- 2:25true. And God, all of your promises
- 2:28contained in this book is yes and Amen.
- 2:31Lord, we know that the Word is alive and active and sharper
- 2:34than any 2 edged swords of God. We just say yes.
- 2:38Lord, let it read us as we try to read it.
- 2:41Father, give us your wisdom. Give us new heights and new
- 2:45depths of your love and your mercy, your goodness and your
- 2:48grace. It's in Jesus Christ, holy and
- 2:51precious name that I pray, men. Let's start in verse 1.
- 2:57And afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, this
- 3:02is what the Lord God of Israel says.
- 3:05Let my people go that they may hold a feast to me in the
- 3:10wilderness. So here we can see that Moses is
- 3:15being used by God Almighty, and you can see that Moses is going
- 3:19into the court and God is saying to let his people go.
- 3:24We've already learned in the previous chapter that God sees
- 3:28Israel as his first born. Friends, think about that verse
- 3:332. And Pharaoh said, who is the
- 3:37Lord? That I should obey his voice and
- 3:40let Israel go. I know not the Lord, neither
- 3:44will I let Israel go. And God told Moses that it would
- 3:47be this way. And you can see here that
- 3:51Pharaoh has hardened his heart, friends.
- 3:54And God is going to use that hardness, friends. 3 And they
- 4:00said, the God of the Hebrews has met with us, let us go, we pray
- 4:07three days, journey into the desert, and sacrifice to the
- 4:11Lord our God, unless he fall upon us with pestilence or with
- 4:16the sword. So here Moses and Aaron, they're
- 4:19talking to Pharaoh and they're saying, let us go and do the
- 4:22sacrifices out in the wilderness or else God's mighty hand will
- 4:28come upon us. And the reality is God's mighty
- 4:31hand is about to come upon the Egyptians, friends.
- 4:35And the reality is that God is leading them back into Canaan.
- 4:42For the king of Egypt said to them, why do you, Moses and
- 4:47Aaron, let the people from their works get you unto your burdens?
- 4:52Here Pharaoh's heart is revealed.
- 4:55He cares nothing for the Israelites, and God knows it.
- 4:59And that's the reason that God has seen their affliction.
- 5:02He's seen the oppression, and he is going to intervene and do
- 5:06something about it. And you can see Pharaoh's heart
- 5:09truly being revealed in this chapter of how he feels about
- 5:13the Hebrews. He says, you're lazy, get back
- 5:18to work. 5 And Pharaoh said, behold, the people of the land
- 5:22now are many, and you make them rest from their burdens.
- 5:26So all he cared about was free labor, slave labor, friends.
- 5:31That's all he cared about. Somehow, some way, he inherited
- 5:36the problem of the Jews and he needed a solution for the Jews.
- 5:41And isn't this just like Satan? How Satan always points the
- 5:47finger towards the Jews as the problem?
- 5:50Be aware of anti-Semitism rising up today friends.
- 5:55The Jews are God's chosen people are not were they are God's
- 5:59chosen people, and God is going to supernaturally protect them
- 6:04and they're going to make it all the way in the end.
- 6:07Check the record, friends. Go back and look.
- 6:09You can't do nothing with them. Every time you put the heavy
- 6:12burdens on them, they only multiply and get stronger.
- 6:16They only grow richer, friends, whenever you try to annihilate
- 6:20them. It's never worked out for any
- 6:23other purposes, friends, than for God's purposes over the land
- 6:28and over eternity and over his story.
- 6:30This being worked out right in front of your eyes and you'll
- 6:33miss it just like you miss the nose on your own face friends,
- 6:37you'll miss the fact that God is for the Jews and he's going to
- 6:42bring them into the fold. Go and look at Romans chapter of
- 6:4911:00 and you're going to find out that they are the natural
- 6:52and we're just the wild that's grafted in.
- 6:55Go and look at the 144,000 in Revelation.
- 6:59They make it all the way to the end.
- 7:00There's going to be the Jewish, the ethnic Jews all the way at
- 7:06the end. They're going to admit that they
- 7:09murdered Jesus and they're going to see that Jesus Christ is the
- 7:13Messiah after the the Antichrist comes on the scene and demands
- 7:18to be worshipped in the temple as God.
- 7:21They're going to see the error of their ways and they're going
- 7:23to finally admit that Jesus Christ is the Lord.
- 7:26And we look forward to that day. But in the meantime and in
- 7:29between time, their disobedience has led to many of the Gentiles
- 7:34coming into the fold. And we celebrate God's ways.
- 7:37We don't pretend to understand them, but we say yes and Amen to
- 7:41all of God's purposes and plans. And look at how here in this
- 7:45passage, Pharaoh's heart is being hardened.
- 7:49And look at how the Jews are about to be able to leave rich.
- 7:53They're about to be able to leave friends and go out and go
- 7:57into the promised land. Eventually 6 and Pharaoh
- 8:06commanded the same day the task masters of the people and their
- 8:10officers saying, 7 you shall no more give the people straw to
- 8:15make brick as before, let them go and gather straw for
- 8:19themselves. So prior, the Egyptians would
- 8:24provide the straw, and then the Hebrews would make the bricks
- 8:28with the straw. And now Pharaoh is so ticked off
- 8:32that he's saying we will not even provide the straw, you must
- 8:34go find it. And we're not going to cut down
- 8:37the quota of the amount of bricks that we need. 8 And the
- 8:44tally of the bricks which they did make before you shall lay
- 8:48upon them, you shall not diminish it thereof, for they be
- 8:53idle. Therefore they cry, saying, let
- 8:56us go and sacrifice to our God. So here Pharaoh is relegating
- 9:02their request to go out and sacrifice to Yahweh everlasting
- 9:07in the wilderness. He's relegating it to laziness.
- 9:11He's relegating it to them, just wanting to get out from
- 9:14underneath the burdens. Just remember that God is the
- 9:19one that instigated this entire event.
- 9:22This is not people that are begging and crying out to God.
- 9:26God sees and God is making good on the covenant that he made
- 9:29with Abraham. And he told Abraham all the way
- 9:32back in Genesis chapter 12 that this would all be happening.
- 9:35Isn't it just like our God? He sees it all before it ever
- 9:39happens and he writes it down. And we can go and study the good
- 9:42book and we can figure out what's happening in the world
- 9:45today. Even this day, this very day
- 9:48that we're in the Bible has talked about it.
- 9:50It's all prophetic and it's all on his timeline And it's
- 9:54everything is working out exactly according to plan.
- 9:57Never forget that, friends. We don't fret.
- 9:59We have no anxiety, friends. We just say yes and Amen.
- 10:03We get out of our own way. We give God the center stage and
- 10:06we build our entire lives upon this book that can tell us what
- 10:12is to happen, what is to come in.
- 10:14Some of it is wrapped up as an enigma in a mystery, friends.
- 10:18And we just hold on to the limited amount that He's given
- 10:22us. And we build our lives upon
- 10:25that, friends. And that is called faith.
- 10:27And we allow the faith to drive us.
- 10:29We allow the faith to lead us, friends, into eternal places.
- 10:34We allow the faith in our lives to be the reality.
- 10:37We do not look at the stock market.
- 10:40We do not look at all of what the world is trying to sell us,
- 10:44friends. All of the prosperity, all of
- 10:47the luxury. We do not look upon the security
- 10:50and safety, friends. All we look upon is God's Word.
- 10:54And we say yes and Amen to every single syllable, every single
- 10:58jot and every single title, friends.
- 11:00And it is yes and Amen to God Almighty.
- 11:03And it is going to happen exactly the way that He tells us
- 11:07it's going to happen. Never forget that, Nine.
- 11:12Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labor in
- 11:17it, and let them not regard vain words.
- 11:21So here Pharaoh is trying to make it harder.
- 11:24And don't be surprised when God comes into the mix if things get
- 11:28harder before they get better. Friends, don't forget that Tim
- 11:32and the task masters of the people went out, and their
- 11:35officers, and they spoke to the people, saying, Thus says
- 11:39Pharaoh, I will not give you straw. 11 Go.
- 11:43You get you straw where you can find it, yet not all of your
- 11:47work shall be diminished. So you have to go find your own
- 11:50straw. But the amount of bricks that
- 11:53you were making before when we were giving you the straw is the
- 11:57same. So you cannot slack up and stop
- 12:00making the same quota of bricks that you had before.
- 12:04And you must go find your own straw for the bricks. 12 So the
- 12:08people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt
- 12:12to gather stubble instead of straw.
- 12:15So they couldn't even find straw.
- 12:16All they were gathering was a bunch of stubble.
- 12:21Look at how God is working in their midst. 13 And the
- 12:24taskmasters hasted them, saying, fulfill your works, your daily
- 12:30tasks, as when there was straw. So they're not slacking up on
- 12:34them, they're not giving up on them.
- 12:36They're giving them no mercy, no pardon, no quarter.
- 12:40They're saying you must produce the same amount of bricks as
- 12:43when we were giving you the straw. 14 And the officers of
- 12:46the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set
- 12:50over them, they were beaten and demanded, Why have you not
- 12:54fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and today
- 12:59as before? So here the Hebrew supervisors
- 13:05that were over the people were getting beaten by the
- 13:08taskmasters because Pharaoh had said they would not diminish the
- 13:12quota. But here you can see that they
- 13:14have diminished the quota because they couldn't find the
- 13:16straw. They could only find the
- 13:18stubble. 15 And the officers of the children of Israel came and
- 13:24cried to Pharaoh, saying, why have you dealt with us with your
- 13:28servants? So they're asking Pharaoh why
- 13:32he's dealing so harshly with them. 16 There is no straw given
- 13:37to your servants. And they say to us, make brick,
- 13:40and behold, your servants are beaten, but the fault is in your
- 13:44own people. So here they're belly aching to
- 13:47Pharaoh. They don't have the context.
- 13:49They can't see the the entirety of what's happening.
- 13:52Let's see how Pharaoh responds. 17 But he said, you are idle,
- 13:56you are idle. Therefore you say, let us go and
- 13:59sacrifice to the Lord. So here he is turning it and
- 14:03flipping the script. You could see that his anger is
- 14:06red hot and he's saying you're lazy.
- 14:08You're lazy and it has really nothing to do with the bricks.
- 14:13It has everything to do with the Hebrews request to go out into
- 14:17the wilderness and to sacrifice unto Yahweh everlasting. 18 Go
- 14:24therefore now and work, for there shall no straw be given to
- 14:28you, yet you shall deliver the tally of bricks.
- 14:32So he's saying, we give you enough fuel, we give you enough
- 14:34straw, you've got to keep making the same amount of bricks as you
- 14:38were before, when we were giving you the straw. 19 And the
- 14:42officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in
- 14:46an evil case, after it was said, You shall not diminish from your
- 14:51bricks of the daily task. So here they can see that they
- 14:56are being dealt with evilly from Pharaoh.
- 15:00He cares nothing about the Hebrews.
- 15:03It's all a facade. All he cares about is the free
- 15:06labor. All he cares about is usurping
- 15:09his authority over them. And now it's all coming out, and
- 15:14God already saw it before it did. 20 And they met Moses and
- 15:20Aaron, who stood in the way as they came forth from Pharaoh. 21
- 15:24And they said to them, the Lord, look upon you and judge you,
- 15:28because you have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of
- 15:33Pharaoh and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in
- 15:37their hand to slay us. So they're saying it's because
- 15:40of you, Aaron, it's because of you, Moses, that this heavy
- 15:44burden has been laid upon us and it's going to kill us. 22 Moses
- 15:51returned to the Lord and said, Lord, why have you dealt so evil
- 15:57with this people? Why is it that you have sent me?
- 16:01So here Moses is just being really real with God, and that
- 16:06is for us to learn a lesson here.
- 16:09Friends, listen to me very carefully.
- 16:13God has broad shoulders and He can take whatever you throw at
- 16:17Him. Do not just pray a little Jingle
- 16:22of a prayer unto God and try to get into His presence by some
- 16:27kind of formula. Go and be real with God.
- 16:31Pour out your heart to Him. He already knows everything
- 16:34that's going on with you. Just go and lay it all out for
- 16:40Him and tell him of all the times you were disappointed, of
- 16:44all the times that you prayed to paint off the wall and nothing
- 16:47happened, of all the times you were offended by his ways.
- 16:52Pour it out to him. Don't hold it in, don't try to
- 16:55pretend. Friends.
- 16:56Here, Moses just gets really real with God Almighty. 23 For
- 17:05since I came to Pharaoh to speak in your name, he has done evil
- 17:10to this people. Neither has neither have you
- 17:13delivered your people at all Well in there.
- 17:18There's a lot more to it, friends.
- 17:20There's so much more to be said here, but suffice to say that
- 17:24God is big enough and he can literally do anything.
- 17:29And if he leaves you in the mess, it's for a purpose.
- 17:32And that's one of the hardest lessons in our lives.
- 17:37When you pray and you pray and you pray and the loved 1 still
- 17:39dies. When you pray, you pray and you
- 17:42pray and you still can't find a job.
- 17:45When you pray and you pray and you pray and the sickness still
- 17:48is in you. When you pray and you pray and
- 17:51you pray and the marriage doesn't come back together.
- 17:56When you pray and you pray and you pray, and the prodigal is
- 17:58still out there lost. So one of the hardest lessons of
- 18:02a Christian to learn is that God can literally do anything.
- 18:07He can bring the prodigal home. He can restore the marriage, He
- 18:11can regrow the limb, He can re give eyesight and the ability to
- 18:19hear. God can literally do anything.
- 18:22He can take the cancer out friends.
- 18:25God can literally do anything. He can make churches full again,
- 18:32make the Bible the number one selling book in the world.
- 18:36God can literally do anything. We could literally all fall upon
- 18:41our faces and literally worship Him for all of eternity,
- 18:46friends, forever and ever. That's all we would know to do
- 18:50is worship, worship and worship. But God, in his unlimited amount
- 18:56of wisdom, sometimes he doesn't operate in the way that we think
- 19:02that he should. And that is one of the hardest
- 19:04lessons. But we need to know that whether
- 19:06it's in this life or the life to come for the Saint, there's
- 19:11always a better day coming. Whether it's after we take our
- 19:18last breath or whether we wake up and all of the things that
- 19:23were plaguing us have dissolved. God is big enough, He can do
- 19:29anything. Let's not put God in a box.
- 19:32I hope you've been blessed by this amazing chapter in God's
- 19:35Word. I know I sure have.
- 19:37I'm praying for every single one of you.
- 19:38I love you. We'll see you back here
- 19:40tomorrow. God bless you.
