- 3:06Thank you very much for coming on the show today.
- 3:09And I always say this gratitude is good attitude.
- 3:12And when a person shares their time with you, they share their
- 3:16life with you because the SI unit for measuring life, it's
- 3:20time. So it's time to unlock the rapid
- 3:25growth, subconscious mindset mastery and the scaling strategy
- 3:29with Doc Joey, Joe Shogun. So we'll kick off with your
- 3:35professional journey, SMT method and the mission behind helping
- 3:39businesses and you know, business owners skill with
- 3:42alignment and purpose. So how do you come about the SMT
- 3:46method? It was yeah, man, it came about
- 3:51because I thought I was broken. Really.
- 3:53I grew up in a very low blue collar family, one of five
- 3:57children in in a very struggling family.
- 4:00I mean, struggling where people would have to bring groceries.
- 4:02My dad worked his tail off to, you know, he operated heavy
- 4:05equipment. He worked as many hours as he
- 4:07could. And he ended up with knee
- 4:08surgeries, hip surgeries, multiple back surgeries.
- 4:10And if you just keep going and working as many hours as he
- 4:13could to make ends meet. And, and, and that was what was
- 4:15modelled for me. And when I was 22, I had an
- 4:21opportunity to take over a construction company, an
- 4:23existing multi $1,000,000 construction company.
- 4:26I didn't have to even go get a loan.
- 4:27We're going to cover it over A5 or seven-year revenue share to
- 4:30do it. And, and that went from the most
- 4:32exciting day of my life up to 22 years old to three days later me
- 4:36telling him I, I can't do this. And the reason I couldn't do it
- 4:40is because I felt so much guilt inside of myself that I didn't
- 4:43work hard enough to deserve that opportunity.
- 4:46That's I didn't know what it was, but I knew something was
- 4:50broken within me. And from there I became a
- 4:52student of the works I do today. I have a 28 year career in
- 4:56corporate America, ground floor and sales driving for, you know,
- 5:00years and years and years and not really getting any mark to
- 5:03it to, to under as I understood the continuously looking at, you
- 5:08know, continuously working on myself and trying to understand
- 5:10this and what it was and do a culture programme after coaching
- 5:13programme after coaching programme.
- 5:14And I learned a lot, but it never changed my results to
- 5:17understanding. And it wasn't, it wasn't guided
- 5:20by me. It just happened.
- 5:21It unfolded on to starting to understand the subconscious
- 5:24mind. The subconscious mind is
- 5:26responsible for 85% of the results we experience.
- 5:31Not good or bad, just the results, whatever they are.
- 5:34If there's struggle, 85% of that's coming from the
- 5:36subconscious mind. The other is like hap chance or
- 5:39things like that. If it's good things and growth
- 5:42and things like that, it's coming from that programming.
- 5:44So for me it was that programming causing my
- 5:47limitation. There was never anything wrong
- 5:49with me. You know, the God's child here
- 5:52it was it was that when that programming in my subconscious
- 5:56and that there's there's a motherboard in our subconscious
- 5:59that hosts all of our programming.
- 6:01Everything that we we have been told everything that we've
- 6:04experienced, everything even experiences we don't have, but
- 6:07somebody tells us about becomes embedded in that subconscious.
- 6:11The importance of the subconscious towards our results
- 6:14is the subconscious is responsible for triggering brain
- 6:18waves to the actions we take or don't take.
- 6:21So if for me with that construction company, lack was
- 6:25one of my things, the other is deserving.
- 6:27And so I couldn't get past that programming that I didn't
- 6:30deserve that because I didn't work hard enough for it to
- 6:33accept that. And that would have changed the
- 6:35trajectory of my entire life in doing that.
- 6:37And so it since that didn't happen, I went through years,
- 6:40I've been the Guinea pig of this whole SMT method and change.
- 6:44And so, so the whole thing happened.
- 6:46And, and then as it started happening, I went from barely
- 6:48getting by and afraid of losing my jobs to travelling 3000 to
- 6:515000 miles a week trying to develop territories and not
- 6:54really making any mark at all. To within a year and a half of
- 6:58understanding the subconscious and then getting help from
- 7:01multiple sources and understanding how I can how I
- 7:04can adjust that programming. And I didn't even know if it was
- 7:07possible. I just believe the mustard seed
- 7:09we talked about earlier. I just.
- 7:11Believe the mustard seed. I'm just so happy you, you, your
- 7:16mind that is loaded with a lot of value and nothing, nothing
- 7:22excites me as in this life more than talking with people that
- 7:28are people of value. I'm, I'm not trying to blow your
- 7:31trumpet. And of course I'm not a hype
- 7:33man. I'm a person who appreciates
- 7:36people. You know, I give people the
- 7:39flowers. I won't wait until you're dead
- 7:41and but we're signing the condolence register or, or given
- 7:45tributes. I love people getting their
- 7:47tributes when they are alive, right.
- 7:50And from me to you, it's, it's so much appreciation.
- 7:53I, I don't think words are enough to express how much
- 7:57appreciate you as a person because for, for me, everything
- 8:01I have done in my life is actually towards achieving what
- 8:08you stand for, right? And of course, my body of work
- 8:12actually speaks to that effect. The King James forecasters
- 8:17growth mindsets, business insights and leadership.
- 8:22And that is what you represent. And of course, that's why I'm
- 8:24speaking with you today. You know, you, you talked about
- 8:27the subconscious mind and it's really, really, you know,
- 8:30driving my curiosity, subconscious mind.
- 8:33I'm a man of faith. You're a man of faith.
- 8:35The Bible says as a man think it in his mind, so is he right?
- 8:41And you talk about not deserving, you know, what was
- 8:45handed over to you. And of course, in my mind, I was
- 8:48thinking, is that a function of what's it called again, imposter
- 8:54syndrome? Would you, would you say that
- 8:56was imposter syndrome at the time?
- 8:59And of course, you know, I'm very, very curious about the SMT
- 9:02What does SMT even stand for? And you know, what was that a
- 9:06hum moment right for you in your personal transformation?
- 9:11Of course, at some point things changed for you.
- 9:14Right, so the. SMT Yeah, that's.
- 9:15What I was excited, the SMT method stands for subconscious
- 9:19mindset training. So just to finish up what I was
- 9:22saying before. So as I started getting help
- 9:24with doing this and multiple people and you know, a lot of
- 9:27years and doing so all of a sudden I started going from
- 9:30barely getting by to landing $18 million contracts, $22 million
- 9:33contracts, my higher. 1. Was $25 million year over year
- 9:37contract and so I started doing that.
- 9:39So then as I started going up in the leadership positions, I
- 9:42started taking again, this SMT method wasn't even a thought or
- 9:45nothing for me is I just started using some of those tools of
- 9:48what I had learned over that two Dec 2 1/2 decades and started
- 9:52applying it to my team. And I ended up in multiple
- 9:55organisation corporations with the highest percentage of top
- 10:01producers on sales teams that the companies had ever
- 10:04experienced. And so as I started doing that
- 10:06and then later on, I got into helping organisations in
- 10:08bankruptcy to get back to profitability and, and at one
- 10:11point my dad passed away of cancer and a year later my mom
- 10:15passed away. Thank you.
- 10:17She just didn't want to be alive without him.
- 10:19And I found myself. In the Walker.
- 10:21Now, and I'm still in corporate and now I have started getting
- 10:24certifications and things like that.
- 10:26And it's like, man, So I, once we found new owners for the last
- 10:29company, I resigned and I moved down here to South Carolina up
- 10:32in the mountains. And I've been, I started out
- 10:35handing out five business cards a day because I didn't know
- 10:37anybody down here, you know, and started building from there with
- 10:40that, with that hope that mustard seeds though, and, and
- 10:42it's just continued to grow and impact and, and it's just, and,
- 10:46and the SMT method isn't something I sat down with a pen
- 10:49and paper and wrote out. It came through me.
- 10:52It was, it was God. It was God's work for me.
- 10:56For the inspiration of the Holy Spirit it.
- 10:58Was yeah, yeah. And so now I get to spend my
- 11:02days helping people have like literally breakthroughs going
- 11:05from $300,000 a year revenue to $3,000,000.
- 11:08And it's as rewarding as that is the real gift in it is seeing
- 11:13that person transform into the person being at that $3,000,000.
- 11:17And I get to see that over and over and over again.
- 11:20And it's just. $3,000,000 The The number 3 means a lot to me
- 11:23right now because this broadcast was recently certified global
- 11:29top 3%, right? And of course the goal is to
- 11:31heat global top 1% before the end of this year 2025.
- 11:35And of course I think I'm speaking with the right person.
- 11:38I hope I'm gonna I'm I have you on recording now.
- 11:41Are you committed to collaborate with us to achieve that
- 11:46transformation into the comment of global top 1% our podcast are
- 11:51are you committing to that? Nice, nice, yeah.
- 11:54Thank you. OK, thank.
- 11:56Thank you very much. And you?
- 11:57Know how you talked about that with the scripture?
- 12:00You know, as a man thinketh, shall we be think about that now
- 12:05think about somebody who's going around with limiting thoughts,
- 12:07with low self esteem, with worth issues, with things like that.
- 12:11That's the same kind of things they're thinking.
- 12:13That's the life they end up living.
- 12:15So what the SMT method does better than anything else I've
- 12:19ever come across, and there's reasons I say that is it helps
- 12:22identify to bring awareness to those limitations and then holds
- 12:28the tools to very quickly shift those, which then changes our
- 12:31perception, which then changes our, the results that we
- 12:34experience. So anybody who wants to change
- 12:36their results, they have to change their perceptions.
- 12:39The only way to do that on a permanent basis and quickly is,
- 12:43is shifting that programming into subconscious level.
- 12:46You know, I, I. I tell people something that the
- 12:48brain is like a computer, right? And it's like a software.
- 12:52And I feel like the subconscious mind is the OS, the operating
- 12:56system, right, that the brain works with.
- 13:00So people think, I think some people think that the mind is
- 13:04here. But guys, the, the mind is here
- 13:08because the brain is, you know what's controls the mind And you
- 13:15say in 5% of the results we achieve in life, right?
- 13:20Or the outcomes we have are a function of the subconscious
- 13:24mind. So how about the conscious mind,
- 13:26right? What role does it play?
- 13:30So the conscious mind we have control over, the conscious mind
- 13:34is the words we use, the thoughts that we entertain, the
- 13:38people we hang out with. You know, all of that's in the
- 13:41conscious mind, but also in the conscious mind is our knowing of
- 13:44what we want. And then the subconscious mind,
- 13:49all it does is absorbs. It doesn't determine right from
- 13:52wrong, want from not want, whatever it is, it just absorbs.
- 13:55And then that's what feeds into that motherboard of that
- 13:58programming. And that's the voice we hear in
- 14:01our head. It's the thoughts that come up
- 14:02that go, ah, who do you think you are?
- 14:04Man? This can't, this is going to be
- 14:06a huge struggle to do this, but I'm willing to take it on.
- 14:08And things like all of that stuff is coming from that, that
- 14:11subconscious. And what we do is we live so
- 14:14much of our life unconsciously, we're not even aware.
- 14:18It's just that programme playing over and over and over and over
- 14:21again. So it's playing and causing
- 14:24limitation. And So what we do, we're, we're
- 14:26programmed again to work harder, to put in more effort, more
- 14:30hours, things like that. And so we try harder and harder
- 14:32and harder to do it. And that's where you get the
- 14:34mentality, like back in the day when it was like, you know, if
- 14:36you want something, you got to put massive actions, exhaustive
- 14:39efforts, and you got to be willing to trade off your life
- 14:41in order to get it. But that was never true.
- 14:44Back then, we just didn't know any different.
- 14:46Today we do. It doesn't have to go like that.
- 14:49You know, I help my clients. I help the client go work.
- 14:51Smarts don't work hard. I hope the client go from $7.5
- 14:55million in a 13 year high to topple over $22 million in 12
- 15:00months and that in the year that that growth happened was the
- 15:03only year of her adult life that she took five weeks of vacation
- 15:07during that year that that and and the.
- 15:11Now. Now you're making me jealous.
- 15:13I love vacation. But the other thing, the other
- 15:15thing that happened is, is it's specific to entrepreneurs here,
- 15:19right? If you look at the definition of
- 15:21an entrepreneur, they get into like a flow, right?
- 15:26And that flow, as they continue to, you know, move as they're
- 15:30going through it, they continue to adjust as they're going.
- 15:32That's entrepreneurship. But so many people who claim to
- 15:35be entrepreneurs are trying to find the ABC model that equals D
- 15:39and follow that and call themselves an entrepreneur.
- 15:41But that's not even what entrepreneurship is.
- 15:44Entrepreneurship is, is where we live fully live alive and awake
- 15:50and conscious of what's happening.
- 15:52And we're shifting that path as we're going.
- 15:53What works today may not work tomorrow.
- 15:56AI, it could be, you know, it's one thing today, AI, yeah, I
- 16:01know within within 18 months, AI is going to be doing so much
- 16:05more. So if you're not, you know, as
- 16:07entrepreneur, if you're not looking at those things now,
- 16:09you're going to get behind on it.
- 16:11So, and I'm just using that as example.
- 16:13There's many other things, but entrepreneurship is really, you
- 16:17know, one of the things I did during in COVID is I took up
- 16:19Hang Gliding. So I jump off a 2000 foot
- 16:22mountaintops with me and a glider, you know, and and and in
- 16:26doing that, there's fear. But entrepreneurship is just
- 16:30going to be fear. See if he is.
- 16:32We, we can't do the same thing, expecting the same results over
- 16:35and over and over again. We have to adjust and we have
- 16:37to, you know, and, and, and it really is like taking a kayak
- 16:40down the river. You know, we have to go with the
- 16:42flow of it. As soon as we start paddling
- 16:44upstream, we've stepped back into the unconscious living of
- 16:49of massive actions. Exhaustive effort, you.
- 16:53Know, and since you speak it, it, it makes me happy.
- 16:57You know why growth mindset is the key theme of this podcast.
- 17:02You know, people ask me how come you're talking about mindset and
- 17:05you're talking about business insights on the same podcast.
- 17:08I'm like, excuse me, do you know what drives business success?
- 17:15It's basically your mindset, you know, and let us try to lean
- 17:18kids, you know, directly to, to, to business success here, right?
- 17:23What is it that most people get wrong about business growth and
- 17:27business success? So one of the things is, you
- 17:31know, I used to hear sayings all the time, if you want something,
- 17:34find someone who has what you want and do what they did.
- 17:38So we have a lot of coaching platforms, we have a lot of
- 17:41teaching, we have books, all kinds of stuff built around that
- 17:43philosophy. But it doesn't work because what
- 17:47we don't understand is that person who put that model
- 17:49together, that became hugely successful, they found their
- 17:52pathway. And so when we follow a coaching
- 17:56programme that's going to help us to grow and stuff, it's it's
- 17:59a locked model. You do AB and C and you get to
- 18:01D. And so we come in on it with
- 18:03fury and excitement and all this stuff.
- 18:05And then we find as we go through it without even
- 18:07realising it, sometimes it's weak.
- 18:09You have to. Contort the individual away from
- 18:12who they authentically are in order to fit that model.
- 18:15That's why with the SMT method, I there's a model, but the model
- 18:19fluctuates to the individual. So, so it's based on their
- 18:23unique desires of what they want to achieve, their unique
- 18:28programming, their you, you know, all of their unique gifts
- 18:31and skills and talents that that were placed within them when
- 18:35they were brought to, you know, when they were born, all of
- 18:37that. So it works off of that.
- 18:39So it's in alignment with them. And I'll give you a quick
- 18:41example, one of the. Things are different, folks one.
- 18:44Of the things we do in the SMT method is we develop systems of
- 18:48accelerating habits that are unique to that individual.
- 18:52So I have over 700 clients I've worked with over the past 12
- 18:55years. Now, one of them has the same
- 18:59systems of habits as somebody else does.
- 19:01They're unique to that individual.
- 19:04We all have different handprints.
- 19:06We do. We do.
- 19:08We all have different desires. We all have different financial
- 19:12goals, we all have different family goals.
- 19:13We all have different programming within that
- 19:15subconscious. Now, I was talking earlier about
- 19:18the conscious and subconscious. So what happens is we know what
- 19:21we want in our conscious mind, but we have this programming in
- 19:26our subconscious that's the doing part of what we want.
- 19:30And so it doesn't trigger the brain waves to take the actions
- 19:33that will lead to that. So there's a gap between the
- 19:35two. The way we close the gap, the
- 19:38only way in 40 years of studies and everything else in my doctor
- 19:42degree and being in philosophy, everything else is, is the only
- 19:45way to close that gap is you have to go in there and
- 19:48reprogram that subconscious motherboard.
- 19:51In doing so, we start immediately opening up the door
- 19:55for not only greater results, but achieving that with less
- 20:00effort going into it. You know, Speaking of results,
- 20:04right, the most important resort to business owners is profit,
- 20:09profitability, right? But as a fractional CFO that I
- 20:15am, you know, and of course, I'm a finance professional by
- 20:19training chartered accountant, economist, masters in business
- 20:24administration, global beak for, you know, consultants.
- 20:29And I tell my clients something that people get often get things
- 20:35wrong when it comes to business. Revenue is vanity, profit is
- 20:40sanity or cash is reality, right?
- 20:44When a business has consistent positive net cash flows,
- 20:51especially net operating cash flows, you are able to operate
- 20:56as a going concern. And being a going concern is
- 21:00being able to operate for the foreseeable future without any,
- 21:06you know, form of hindrances, right?
- 21:08But when it comes to business owners, I think they tend to
- 21:13focus on the wrong metrics. And I'm sure you, you've seen
- 21:17this a lot in the course of your, your coaching career.
- 21:21A lot of people focus a lot on revenue, right?
- 21:26And some people focus a lot on expansion, expanding revenue,
- 21:31expanding the operation and they, they've run into issues,
- 21:36right? So you are a rapid growth
- 21:39specialist. And with rapid growth comes, you
- 21:43know, challenges and growth, if not done the right way, will
- 21:48lead to crashing. And I'm sure you've actually
- 21:51seen this things. So I just want you to talk about
- 21:54the transformations you've seen in business and how you turn
- 21:57around like, you know, bankrupt entities into profitable ones.
- 22:01Yeah, you. Know here's how I do that is you
- 22:03can't look at one or the other. You can't look at profitability
- 22:07alone. You can't look at revenue alone.
- 22:10You know you could be doing 70% profits, but if you're only your
- 22:12revenues are only $1000 a month, you're not really bringing it in
- 22:17like you want to, right. So you have to look at your
- 22:20revenues, but you have to make sure that they are profitable.
- 22:23So when I say about the rapid growth specialist, it's all
- 22:26about profitable revenue growth. So now when you put those you
- 22:32got to look at I've never worked with somebody and not have
- 22:34looked at both of those things. You know you don't what you
- 22:37could sell $1,000,000 and if your revenue and if your margins
- 22:40are negative, you have nothing. And that is why you, you are the
- 22:45rapid growth specialist. Specialist for a reason.
- 22:48There's a reason why you have specialist to your title.
- 22:51Well, so, so if you think about it in, in, in every
- 22:54organisation, every business owner I work with, we start out
- 22:57with where's your margin? Where's your margin level at
- 22:59right now and why is that? And we start looking at that and
- 23:01what the possibilities are coming up and things like that.
- 23:04But then we start looking at, once we get a margin in place,
- 23:08that's that, you know, works, then we start ramping up the
- 23:12revenue because now you've got your margin.
- 23:14Now as you're adding revenue, you're increasing more dollars
- 23:17for that organisation. And then we come up with the
- 23:20prudent reserves. We come up with things like
- 23:22that. You know, the companies that I
- 23:23work, the companies that I have helped get out of bankruptcy,
- 23:26you know, at one time they had like $80 million in cash and
- 23:31they just blew it. They did all kinds of stuff with
- 23:33it and blew it thinking the times are always going to be
- 23:35great. And then when he when he when
- 23:37the times went down for the foundry industry, they had
- 23:41nothing to back them up anymore because they blew through it.
- 23:44So that's I. Like what you said, I'm so sorry
- 23:46to interrupt you. I'm so sorry to interrupt you.
- 23:48I love what you said. Nothing to back them up.
- 23:51It speaks to something that I always say, that profits says
- 23:55you're winning in business, but cash determines how long you can
- 23:59stay in the game. Yeah.
- 24:01And even business owners who I helped like they're, they're
- 24:03fresh starting out and things like that, you know, and they
- 24:05go, oh, I'll pay myself down the line and things like that go,
- 24:08no, no, no, you'll never be successful there because you're
- 24:11going to run into things. You're stepping out into
- 24:13entrepreneurship, you're going to run into things.
- 24:16Build a prudent, you have to pay yourself.
- 24:18You have to build a personal prudent reserve that you can
- 24:21fall back on in case there are times when you can't or things
- 24:24like that, when it's our hiring staff or whatever it is.
- 24:26But you have to have that because without that, your
- 24:29business is gone very quickly. You don't have the money to feed
- 24:33yourself. You can't run a business.
- 24:36It just doesn't work unless you go into deeper depth with, you
- 24:40know, lines of credit. And I hear that a lot with
- 24:42entrepreneurs in line. And those are great if used
- 24:45properly. So, yeah, that whole side of
- 24:47things. It's it's the mix of it all.
- 24:49It's not. You can't say this is this is,
- 24:51you know, Christian, this is Satan.
- 24:54It has to be. It has to be profitable margins
- 24:58that set any products and then scaling that revenue.
- 25:02That's really both of those are in combination with each other.
- 25:07You know, I love what you say in terms of achieving that balance,
- 25:10but would I say the the ex auditor in me is curious about
- 25:16OK, how do you achieve that equilibrium?
- 25:19You know, when we look at the, would I say I don't what do you
- 25:23guys call it in, in America, the income statements, we call it
- 25:26the statement of OK, income statements, basically you guys,
- 25:29that's what you you call it. And of course for the balance
- 25:32sheet, right, we call it the statement of financial position.
- 25:35So the nomenclature is, you know, a bit slightly off in the
- 25:39US and in the international, international financial reports.
- 25:42Yeah, yes. So some people focus on assets,
- 25:47right? Some people leverage that is the
- 25:52equity is probably less than the, the, the liabilities,
- 25:57right? They, they, they bring in a lot
- 25:58of, you know, excel capital like you, you, you, you talked about
- 26:04or when come to the income statement revenue top line.
- 26:09But in the process of scaling, you discovered that your
- 26:13operating expenses tend to, you know, rise up very, very fast.
- 26:19And sometimes it erodes the bottom line, right?
- 26:21But Someone Like You, you are a specialist.
- 26:24You, you know, how to, you know, peg certain things and ensure
- 26:29that, you know, certain, you know, operating expenses are
- 26:32kept under check in order to scale effectively and
- 26:38efficiently, right? So I'll, I'll like for you to
- 26:41touch on that because, you know, a large population of our
- 26:43listeners are, you know, entrepreneurs, finance people.
- 26:47At some point, every client I work with, they have to start
- 26:51building a team, right? You build up the revenue until
- 26:55too much and I'm not an advocate and let's hire the team and then
- 26:58go out and get the revenue. I've got entrepreneurships about
- 27:01that flow. So as things are growing, at
- 27:04some point before it gets to be like overwhelming as we start
- 27:08bringing people in and things like that.
- 27:09When we do that, we got to go back to the margins and look
- 27:11because they impact margin. And so we got to look at what
- 27:14that margin is. Now sometimes starting out
- 27:16hiring a couple people, we may be able to weigh out that margin
- 27:20with the revenue gain and things, especially if they're
- 27:22hiring sales people and things like that because they're
- 27:24bringing in. So they're still bringing more
- 27:26dollars in with it. But at some point we got to
- 27:28start adjusting that margin each time we got to adjust the margin
- 27:31to see what that impact is going to be on growth.
- 27:35And and then we make adjustments in that.
- 27:37Sometimes it's, it's going through and figuring out where
- 27:39we can save costs, what we can cut out in doing that and stuff
- 27:42to keep that margin. Ideally, I would love to see
- 27:45every one of my clients at 100% margin, you know.
- 27:49Depending on the industry though.
- 27:52Well, it's not possible. I haven't found an industry yet
- 27:55where that's possible to do. But what I'm saying by that
- 27:58though is we want to constantly monitor and we want to shift
- 28:01that upwardly and at the same time simultaneously grow those
- 28:06revenues and then the margin continues to go.
- 28:09Now I have companies who they have scaled from a couple $1000
- 28:13a month when I met him a couple years ago, who is currently
- 28:15doing right around $55,000 a week in revenue.
- 28:21So now he's got his team in place.
- 28:22We've gone through the margins, we've gone through all that
- 28:24stuff. Now what he's doing is he's
- 28:26looking at acquiring companies. So now that we've built up the
- 28:31Peruvian reserve, he has money to rely on with it.
- 28:34He has, you know, you know, things like that set up.
- 28:36Now he's got a line of lines of credit, things like that and
- 28:39stuff that he has available to him.
- 28:40Now he can go out and buy a company and double his size,
- 28:42triple his size with purchasing one company.
- 28:46You know, now when we, when we bring that in and we start going
- 28:49through the same thing, what are, what are their margins
- 28:52based on their revenues and where do we adjust that?
- 28:54Where do we, you know, where do we, how do, how do we tweak that
- 28:58to get that as high as we can, but then now between both
- 29:02companies continue increasing that revenue.
- 29:06You know, I, I have a serious issue with, you know, business
- 29:09combinations a lot of times if you just look at the numbers,
- 29:12but they don't look at the, what I say, qualitative factors like
- 29:16the cultural clash, right? You know, the, the integration
- 29:20of the people because the people make the company, right.
- 29:24But I'd like for you to speak on efficiencies that are achieved
- 29:30by way of AI. Because for my own company, for
- 29:34example, we leverage a lot on AI tools.
- 29:37But the truth is this, AI tools are also not free.
- 29:39So sometimes you need to weigh that balance between, you know,
- 29:44would I say getting certain activities or certain tasks done
- 29:47by a human or, you know, by way of getting that efficiency
- 29:53through IT tools. So in your experience, how have
- 29:58companies been able to leverage on AI to would I say, achieve
- 30:03efficiency and of course scale faster?
- 30:06Well, as as far as AI mean there's so many uses for it and
- 30:09things like that and stuff as far as even marketing, it can
- 30:12help with marketing plans. It can help with your, your, you
- 30:15know, your pitches that you give as far as sales pitches and
- 30:18things like that can help with presence out, like all of that
- 30:20stuff. It can help across the board.
- 30:22It can help you can help with motivating, you know, the, the
- 30:25individuals within the, you know, within the organisation
- 30:27and things like that. But one thing to kind of back up
- 30:29a little bit when you talked about that with like a quite
- 30:32what I call acquiring companies and stuff like that.
- 30:34I'm not an advocate when I'm working with CEO or board or
- 30:37president, you know somebody who owns your own business.
- 30:40I am not an advocate of you buy this company and you let them
- 30:44continue to operate the way they have been.
- 30:47I am an advocate for you go in there and you set the structure
- 30:52that's working for you in this company in that and then
- 30:56eventually you find somebody that manages that that's, you
- 30:59know, could be from your own organisation.
- 31:01So it's not, you miss a lot of that struggle that comes up when
- 31:05it's like 2 different organisations, 2 completely
- 31:08different philosophies and, and all that stuff is you're
- 31:11bringing that under your umbrella of what worked for you
- 31:14to build what you have here. Because the cultural clashes a
- 31:19lot of times tend to lead to inefficiencies and a lot of
- 31:23friction. And it's not what you want as an
- 31:26entrepreneur, you know, but as far as AI goes, right is really
- 31:31changing the landscape or of business, right?
- 31:35I look at my. Landscape my life, really.
- 31:38It's changed the landscape absolutely.
- 31:40Because I think about it, people ask me, how were you able to
- 31:43achieve global top 3% in less than two years?
- 31:47A very, very big shout out to AI.
- 31:50And of course, I am AI myself. You know, like it's crazy how a
- 31:55lot of the people I used to look up to in the world of
- 31:57podcasting, I look at them, I look at my show and we have
- 32:01similar following similar streams and download numbers.
- 32:05This is what AI can do. And of course, big shout out to
- 32:08Gamma app. They are our affiliate partners.
- 32:12Gamma actually helps you to create fantastic presentations,
- 32:16you know, fantastic images, fantastic websites, you know
- 32:20Peaches like you talked about, you know, the great and gamma.
- 32:24So guys, check out our gamma affiliate link and of course,
- 32:28you know, go sign up and of course promote the show, support
- 32:32us. We make something, we make a
- 32:35sweet Commission from the Gamma app sign ups.
- 32:40So we have just 9 minutes left because Doctor Joey is a very,
- 32:45very busy man. Of course, I'll try to milk what
- 32:48we can actually get out of the last, you know, 9.
- 32:52Now it's 8 minutes right on the podcast.
- 32:54So a lot of entrepreneurs struggle with the knowing, doing
- 32:58gap and how can they overcome it.
- 33:01The surest way I've found to do that, and this is what a lot of
- 33:04people do, is you lower your expectations of what you want
- 33:09that, without knowing it matched the programming.
- 33:12That's one way of doing it, and a lot of people do that.
- 33:14Whenever I hear people talk about a plan A and Plan B, we
- 33:17have a plan A. This is what we want right here.
- 33:20This is what we want, but I'd be willing to settle for this
- 33:25whenever that happens. We arrive somewhere around this.
- 33:29So, so we, we, we settle for scraps of what's really
- 33:33possible. And so with the SMT method in
- 33:36the dynamic visioning, we set up that a plan and that's what we
- 33:39go for. And that's all that there is
- 33:40possible. Is that a plan?
- 33:42So we shift everything to fit into that.
- 33:44And the other way I know to do it is shift your perceptions,
- 33:48which means you have to go back in, identify and shift that
- 33:51programming to match what it is you truly want.
- 33:56There are two ways it can happen.
- 33:58You either settle for less than or you do the work of
- 34:01programming. And because here's one of the
- 34:03things with all this stuff is you cannot go out and get to
- 34:08your vision. You can't go anywhere and get to
- 34:10your vision. You can't go to church, can't
- 34:12hang out with the right people. You can't, you know, none of
- 34:15that. You have to come from within,
- 34:17from that within you. And if we have the desire, that
- 34:21means the way is already planted in us.
- 34:24We just don't see it. So we in becoming of that
- 34:29person, in shifting, identifying and shifting that programming is
- 34:33how we get to becoming of that person, living that life.
- 34:36And for the guy that was the $3,000,000 with the wholesale
- 34:39company from 300,000, what in a year you know, to three million
- 34:44and now we're going to 5 million.
- 34:46He brought me down to up to Ohio last week to celebrate because
- 34:50he was planning on doubling his warehouse facility next year.
- 34:54Instead, January things just came together.
- 34:58He ended up quadrupling his warehouse and he was doing the
- 35:01open house on it last week. And so I got to go up there and
- 35:04be a part of that and stuff and meet his family and just like,
- 35:08it's just so amazing seeing the impact this has and getting to
- 35:12be a part of it in. People's lives.
- 35:15That's a jury. We want available to us.
- 35:20Absolutely. We can.
- 35:22Achieve the power of the mind. But we got to do something about
- 35:26the programming in order for that to happen.
- 35:28I I, I love that. And of course you'd notice that
- 35:31I've been smiling, right? You, you, you mentioned
- 35:34something about entrepreneurs settling for scrap.
- 35:38But when people ask me about what's the plan, what's the
- 35:41plan? You know, you, I hope you have a
- 35:43plan BI hope you have a plan C, right?
- 35:47Ask you a quick question. How many alphabets does the
- 35:51English language have? 26. 26 right?
- 35:54And guess what, Doctor Joey, I have a plan A, but I have plan
- 36:00BCDEFTH up to plan XYZ, right, And guess what?
- 36:08Guess what, Plan B to plan C is actually to make plan A work.
- 36:15So I guess so if that's the case, at least this, at least
- 36:19this you should learn that, you know, never settle for less.
- 36:23If that's the. Case.
- 36:24You actually have a Plan A is what you have, because if plan
- 36:27B&C are to meet plan A, then you have a plan A.
- 36:31Absolutely. The other thing, the last thing
- 36:33I want to add in here is so many entrepreneurs have an idea and
- 36:38they'll sit down and they'll get a pad of paper and they'll get a
- 36:41pen. And they'll spend hours and
- 36:44hours and hours writing out a strategy for how they're going
- 36:47to get there and everything they're going to do and the
- 36:49exhaustive To Do List and all of that stuff.
- 36:52And they write it down. How many things have you ever
- 36:54achieved that went exactly as your plan was?
- 36:59Nothing. So many hours doing that.
- 37:04So with my clients, when I get that to throttle back a little
- 37:08bit, when we develop that vision, what happens when we're
- 37:12going 150 miles an hour is there's opportunities, insights,
- 37:15directions, whatever it is just flying by us and we're not even
- 37:18noticing. The only way we notice them is
- 37:20we have to start backing up a little bit, going slower,
- 37:23throttling down and be more and be more conscious of how we're
- 37:28living, get out of that unconscious living.
- 37:31And as we do, all of a sudden something comes out of the blue
- 37:33and we overhear something or we put on the radio and, and, and
- 37:37we're hearing somebody talk or a podcast and and we're hearing it
- 37:40speak exactly into what we're trying to figure out.
- 37:43And that can happen. So often people call that a
- 37:45coincidence To me, I believe that I know that that's God work
- 37:49in my life, but people will call it a coincidence.
- 37:51But we really there's a design that you can live by those
- 37:56things continually flowing and happening, but you can't do that
- 38:01and be be chucking along at 150 miles an hour at the same time.
- 38:05Absolutely not. So we we've got 4 minutes left
- 38:08on the clock and of course I see it takes 4 minutes to save a
- 38:11life. So let's save lives with a quick
- 38:13fire round. I just ask you a quick question
- 38:16and of course you you keep the rapid answers being the rapid
- 38:20growth specialist that that you are let's.
- 38:23Go. Let us go, let's go.
- 38:27So #1 what's one or two accelerator habits you think
- 38:32every entrepreneur should have to improve their leadership?
- 38:37You know what, find things that you enjoy doing.
- 38:39That would be the one. I don't know.
- 38:40I can't tell you this exact habit because I don't know the
- 38:43every individual and and that's why it's unique.
- 38:46So find things that you enjoy doing towards your business and
- 38:49do that more often. I love that.
- 38:51So what's 1 belief about success?
- 38:53You had to unlearn yourself. That I wasn't worthy.
- 38:58OK, what's the most impactful book you've ever read?
- 39:01I think it would be the God. There's so many of them.
- 39:05Joseph Murphy, The Subconscious Mind.
- 39:07Why is jury inclined towards Joseph?
- 39:10Is it a jury party? It opened up a gateway in my
- 39:15life when I start understanding the subconscious mind, how
- 39:18powerful it is. Okay, I think that would be
- 39:21recommended. Many other ones.
- 39:23I hope the book is on Amazon. I'll try to add that to the the
- 39:26links in the description. What?
- 39:28Any of the ones you're going to be able to add to?
- 39:30Well, no, because you're I have a book coming out August 4th and
- 39:34it's reprogramming your subconscious mind, the SMT
- 39:37method for rapid growth and that'll be coming out so but
- 39:41it's not yet. So you have the pre-order link.
- 39:43Let's add that to the. No, that's not waiting to put
- 39:45together right now. So within the next 48 hours I'll
- 39:49have it, but I don't have it tonight.
- 39:50Oh, fantastic. Definitely.
- 39:51We we are always in communication.
- 39:53So we we can always have that and add that to the description.
- 39:57OK, So what is a 15 minute ritual that shifts your energy?
- 40:01What's like a practise or vitro you something you do every day
- 40:05that shifts your energy. That is like an energy.
- 40:07One thing I would say to people is start being more conscious.
- 40:11Start paying attention to the words you're using, the thoughts
- 40:14you're entertaining, what you watch on television, things like
- 40:17that. Start being aware of that
- 40:18because whatever those settings are is what you're feeding into
- 40:22the subconscious, and that's what you're going to experience
- 40:24tomorrow. You're what you say?
- 40:26What's the best investment you've ever made that wasn't
- 40:30money? I would say my time in this 40
- 40:33years of. I love that the best investment
- 40:36is the investment in yourself. Many other people, Absolutely,
- 40:39yeah. And of course, what is one piece
- 40:42of advice you would give to your younger self?
- 40:45Trust. Have faith.
- 40:48Trust the process. Whoa.
- 40:49Have faith. And of course, you know, I have
- 40:52faith that this episode would actually impact the lives of
- 40:57millions of people across the world.
- 40:59And for me, to you, it's an attitude of gratitude.
- 41:02I'm so grateful to have you on the platform today.
- 41:05It's love and of course, respect to you, Doctor Joey, and to our
- 41:10audience, please help me. Tell them to do the right thing,
- 41:13like share, drop your comments, help this platform, you know,
- 41:17to, to shoot for the stars because we are on a journey to
- 41:21global top 1% in 2025. Thank you very much for the
- 41:26support tool for global top 3% is by no means, you know, a
- 41:30Little Feat. And of course, we we are growing
- 41:33higher. And of course, we've got Doctor
- 41:35Joey in our corner as well. Do you want to leave a shout out
- 41:37to anyone? And of course, you want to leave
- 41:38any final thoughts before we call it a session.
- 41:43I do I I feel the exact same way about this conversation.
- 41:45Man, this is such a delight to to get to have this in the depth
- 41:48that we got to go and so and. Anybody Patu Patu, please go.
- 41:54OK Book Patu Sir. Anybody can get a hold of me and
- 41:59schedule a 15 minute call. I have a link set up to my
- 42:02personal calendar. Coach with joey.com.
