Abel Gets 10 Years for Aggravated Battery | Topeka News

A 32-year-old man, Douglas L.R. Abel, has been sentenced to ten years in prison for aggravated battery after a November 2025 shooting in Topeka. Found guilty of recklessly causing serious harm, Abel entered a guilty plea in April 2026 following a lengthy investigation and legal process.
