- 0:00[SPEAKER_01]: one of the things that excites me the most about what we do at a week community is to give back freedom to someone that may have lost their freedom due to weight.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_01]: We want to be able to provide that to people.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hello everybody.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I'm your host Izzy.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: This is the Resident Report right here on built in Buffalo.
- 0:31[SPEAKER_00]: YouTube Facebook and X channels, whichever one you're watching on.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you for being here with me.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: As always, Sandra Elkin, first in the comments, what's going on?
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: Hope you have a good evening yourself, Sandra.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_00]: And we are here to talk ball because football season is
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Buffalo Bills broke for training camp on Tuesday.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's when they were all arrived.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: And it's been some eventful things happening, some good news, some bad news.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: But now the season is going, and pads are coming on here, I believe on Tuesday.
- 1:11[SPEAKER_00]: It's time to talk.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: It's time to talk, well, time to get into it.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_00]: I am happy that the season is here that players are on the field and, you know, there's some unfortunate events that have happened, you know, we'll get into that.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: But guys, I'm happy to be back.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: So, here we go, Sandra in the comments, I miss you.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you very much, Sandra.
- 1:35[SPEAKER_00]: I miss you too.
- 1:37[SPEAKER_00]: Glad there's ball.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Glad you guys are here with me.
- 1:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm at Doug Augie.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, easy, welcome back, football, go bills, welcome back to you too, is Oggy, and Miss Nancy Nelson Sykes, brother, brother Lance's mom in the building, how are you doing, Miss Ness?
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate you being here supporting.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: Now, we're going to talk about Pernicam and oddly enough, it's been a week, we're going to start with yesterday.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: And so the first thing that happened yesterday, that we all got window, and no one was really happy about was that CJ Gardner Johnson, our parent starting safety, was injured.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the scare was that CJ Garner Johnson was carted off and thought to potentially blown his Achilles.
- 2:37[SPEAKER_00]: And we've seen that a few times here in Buffalo, namely the latest ones that we know of, Artur Davis White, and Michael Hoyt.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Hoyt last year, Travis White, I think, was three years ago.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_00]: And it's a debiliting injury that basically ends your season, but it does not take a full year to recover from.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: But luckily, we got news that this was a calf strain.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: now we've seen catchings in the past before hinder players for some time, right after the injury Dianne Dawkins spoke to the media and you know it was a moment and he came out and said look I talked to CJ, I asked him if he was okay, he asked him if he could wait on it, he could put
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: You know, once that went down, you know, he says he's going to be okay.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's not a doctor and everybody, you know, who I've watched, you know, from Buffalo Plus to Joe Moreno and Lockdown Bills to, you know, Matt Prino.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: And, uh,
- 3:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I always forget his partner's name, don't know why, it's a super nice guy.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Awesome, you know, opinions to it.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: I'm terrible with that, you know, damn fates in them at, again, Buffalo Plus.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: And they also have the same thing, we're not doctors, right?
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: Neither's the endocrine, he's not doctor either.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: But,
- 3:57[SPEAKER_00]: He said this he just said he was okay.
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: So you kind of take him at his word and just hope for the best and luckily the best is what came out When it comes to an injury of that sort came up hobbling and man it was It was good news that is just the strain on his calf Lower calf strain which is why he was grabbing towards his Achilles Ryan Talbot.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much Ryan Talbot
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: love rent out of it.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why I was be this name.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: I say perino and then I don't know.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's all the Italian names.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: You know, then Salka Potio, Matt Bovay.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_00]: I watch all these guys while I'm driving for work.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: It's my job.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm an electronic technician.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: I drive to his houses.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: I do repairs on their electronic equipment.
- 4:44[SPEAKER_00]: And then between drives, I'm listening to Bill's podcast.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm tired, then I've got some music on to help keep me pumped and zone.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: But otherwise, it's Bill's media, especially now.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Last couple of months, there hasn't been any.
- 4:59[SPEAKER_00]: But I live in North Carolina.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: I don't live in Rochester anymore.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: I don't live in Buffalo.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I have to
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: get my information from sources in Buffalo and in Rochester.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: So watch, you'll already talk to Kay Adams, I watch, you know, freaking him talk about, you know, Al-Qandison should not be on the show.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he didn't deserve that, you know, so to speak.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just all the way the guys are playful and having fun out there, but it is,
- 5:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's important that I get the information, so I watch all the shows.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_00]: I just do.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they're interesting, because he didn't take from different people.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: And now I get to give mine with all the information I've gathered on Sunday.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: So you can take it as me, exploiting the details and putting my show together.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it is a conglomerate of other people's stuff though.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like I'm taking any of my stuff verbatim and copying and I definitely give credit to where it's due.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I'm now.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling you where my information comes from, so there's that.
- 6:01[SPEAKER_00]: Now.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: CJ Gordon and Johnson being injured is a curse for the most part, but it can be a slight gift and that gift is to guys like jell and kill gore and you know stone who get some reps and figure things out because it looked like CJ basically had this thing figured out.
- 6:16[SPEAKER_00]: All thing we have to figure out now is how long he's going to be out because he will be missed and from what I understand he was looking like a damn dog out there and we need.
- 6:26[SPEAKER_00]: We need that edge on defense, we need, and I say I don't mean edge rush, I mean that guy who's an edgy personality is gonna talk prep, help guys stay in line and you know help the younger guys grow.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_00]: He can still do it last part from the sideline, but he cannot be the edgy guy on the field, getting in the face of his opponents and having the back of his fellow players from the sideline, that's an issue that can't be resolved with him on a sideline.
- 6:52[SPEAKER_00]: him coaching up jail and kill work and definitely happen there.
- 6:54[SPEAKER_00]: But he will be missed.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: So see you going to Johnson Hill up buddy.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: Bring that butt back to the field and make a statement here in Buffalo.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: We love to see his happen.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: We love to have you help us win a Super Bowl.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: So let's get that done.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_01]: Now.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: The next thing has been the DBs in coverage have been sticky.
- 7:24[SPEAKER_00]: According to Stalkopatio, who is at the field watching them play.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: Apparently the DBs have been in the water seabers hip pockets all camp.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it's been a week, so take that with a grain of salt.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: But the DBs have been in hip pockets of these water seabers and tight ends.
- 7:41[SPEAKER_00]: And the defense has been winning in practice.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now again, pads are not on yet.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: So take it with a grain of salt.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: when the past come on, the game gets physical, hand fighting starts, and the real action begins.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: For now, we got to take it for what it is, in shorts, the DBs have been sticky in coverage.
- 8:03[SPEAKER_00]: Now does that mean that they have some sort of advantage over the water severs?
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: No, not necessarily.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: But it is encouraging to know that someone like Max Harrison is out there doing well in man coverage because that's what Jim Leonard wants to run.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: And he came out and talked about, you know, Max Harrison.
- 8:28[SPEAKER_00]: Here's part of the Max Hirsten thing.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: His Max Hirsten has been running with the first team defense and DC Jim Leonard said that he is a man cover corner who can generate takeaways.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_00]: Based on his speed, based on his ability to recover from, you know, getting toasted on a route, you know, based on his ball skills, based on his, you know, ability to read and react.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: Says he's a man cover corner.
- 8:52[SPEAKER_00]: He might not have done a lot in college, which according to Joe Marino of a lockdown bills.
- 8:59[SPEAKER_00]: At Kentucky, they ran like 90% zone, not just because you ran 90% zone, doesn't mean that he can't play man coverage.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: Last year, he played with us.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_00]: We run mostly zone, probably about 65% zone.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: And the rest of the man coverage, meaning he played man coverage for us last year, he played pretty well.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: He got beat at times by like T-higgins, but T-higgins also like six foot three, 220 pounds, maxes, you know, 190, you know, five, 11, big boy, wide receiver, going against, I guess, a rookie cornerback who's, you know, smaller in the, in the, in the, but it's gonna have an advantage.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_00]: So that's exactly what happened.
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: He took advantage of him.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: He also took advantage of trade white.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, take that for what it is.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: But Max Harrison has been getting the lion's share of first team reps, and that's if RGB has been getting any first team reps because I haven't seen anything about him getting the first team reps, so.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: The DBs have been playing in a way that has been encouraging for the defense.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm happy for that because that was kind of a worry.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we drafted this guy in the second round.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: IGB is a physical press man corner.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's been running with the twos.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we came out the draft.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: He said, I'm not here to relinquish a job and to just, you know, certain asideland and boohoo, while somebody else has it.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_00]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 10:24[SPEAKER_00]: I'm here to compete.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: respect it.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_00]: I respect it.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Be here to complete.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_00]: Please be here to complete because it is imperative that you do because your NFL growth is going to be based on how much you want to compete.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: If you're not competitive, then what are you doing here?
- 10:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Max Heston,
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: It's much more light-hearted about his competitiveness, right?
- 10:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's out there joking around, you know, being positive.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if there's a negative bone in Max Hirst's body, like he just comes off at such a positive guy that you kind of have to love him.
- 11:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's dead, smiles and fictions.
- 11:06[SPEAKER_00]: I watched his video today, he was miced up.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's out to talk about, hey, I'm the feds, I'm the feds.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: And then out there, cuts up a storm, but you know, I do like what I've seen out of Max has to.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: And so maybe this defense will benefit him more.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he's going to be better in the NFL as a man cover corner when he was better in college as his own.
- 11:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how that works.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not a professional football player now.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: Never played college ball.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Play some high school ball, but see the here and over there.
- 11:39[SPEAKER_00]: CJ's excitement is compared to Michael Hoyt FYI, if you mean like the fans are excited about CJ Gordon Johnson as we were for Michael Hoyt, I would agree with that.
- 11:50[SPEAKER_00]: As for them personality wise, I'm not positive, but I do know Michael Hoyt is one smart bastard and he's out there working his tail off trying to get to his team and trying to, you know, be on the field as much as he can.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_00]: You got to earn your rips.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_00]: Max Washington is stay healthy.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's the fact he's healthy now.
- 12:12[SPEAKER_00]: So he stays that way.
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's rookie here marred with injuries, but Luckily we had tray white If something happens to him, I'm sure they can call up tray white, but Let's hope it doesn't come to that.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: Let's hope that this team Is able to stay is healthy as possible and fulfill the destiny when it's removal
- 12:34[SPEAKER_00]: Max Harrison likes having IGB competition.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_00]: He does he actually said that after he was drafted.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_00]: He wasn't offended wasn't but hurt He was actually pumped.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: He was like, oh shoot.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 12:46[SPEAKER_00]: This is somebody here that challenged me for the job good Because iron sharpens iron.
- 12:51[SPEAKER_00]: We're out here both competing for the job for both getting better
- 13:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to sit here pretend like Christian Benford hasn't missed time with the injury.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: I love Christian Benford.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's one of the best corners in the NFL.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't get the credit because he's quiet, but he's awesome.
- 13:11[SPEAKER_00]: And so when that is the case, right?
- 13:17[SPEAKER_00]: You have to just kind of embrace that.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: And then hope that this guy can say healthy, that the competition can keep growing and these guys can get better.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: God forbid, you have two corners still ready to play, no matter what.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: Max Harrison and IGB, they're young.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_00]: If some have to question Benford and he had to be out for an extended period of time, then you bring in a trade wife or another corner who's out there.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: You need to make a trade.
- 13:48[SPEAKER_00]: Whatever it is, Antonio pride has been looking pretty decent out there too.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_00]: What he's running with the twos and the threes.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's not running with the ones.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: But if something happened
- 13:57[SPEAKER_00]: He gets pushed up the depth chart.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody does this Christian Benford is number one.
- 14:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just pumped to see that Max is playing well.
- 14:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's competing and he's happy.
- 14:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
- 14:10[SPEAKER_00]: See, Hoitz said he was the best player on the field for seven quarters.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: And he's right, he was, he generated what?
- 14:17[SPEAKER_00]: Two and a half sacks in two games.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: Seven quarters, not even two full games.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_00]: Do the living in animal.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now you're going to put him on the line out wide, like you would, you know, in a three, four.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_00]: Unless you play him on the inside occasionally to be an inside pass, especially like we did under Rex Ryan with Lorenzo Alexander, when he had at 12 and a half sex season, Lorenzo played outside linebacker inside linebacker.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_00]: He played on the defense event of that three, four.
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Hoykker do all that too.
- 14:46[SPEAKER_00]: He was 297 at one point in time.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's like 267 now to 270, but you get the idea.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's still a big guy.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's strong.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: He's got a good bull rush.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: He's fast and he's intelligent.
- 14:59[SPEAKER_00]: So Michael Hoyt is a guy that you can count on being used quite a bit in his defense.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: Especially with Bradley Chub having a bit of an injury history, maybe you want to keep him fresh.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Like they did with
- 15:15[SPEAKER_00]: Nick, not Nick, Joey Bosa last year, you know, they rotated them in quite a bit, you know, got got some other guys in there, a JAPANESSA rotating in plenty.
- 15:25[SPEAKER_00]: And this year's going to be Javans Solomon, Michael Hoyt, and TJ Parker, as, you know, your guys who rotate in.
- 15:33[SPEAKER_00]: But, you know, I haven't heard a lot about TJ Parker in camp.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: I've heard he looks good, but I haven't heard a lot
- 15:46[SPEAKER_00]: Gotta kind of deal with that as we must.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_00]: One second.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_00]: I'm back.
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so got to kind of deal with it as we as we must, but the whole rotation there and figuring out who's going to be starting, but I've heard good things about TJ Parker.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_00]: I just haven't heard a lot.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's been like, you know, he looks good.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_00]: He went training a Bradley Chub in Florida.
- 16:19[SPEAKER_00]: He's taking advantage of opportunities, but there's there's not been anything specific.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_00]: Like he got around Dion Dawkins for a sack.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't heard that.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: I did hear Michael Hoyt got around for a sack.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: Javans Solomon had a really good day today at outside linebacker, which is encouraging because he had 16 sex his senior year at Troy.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I mean, I felt he's been playing in the 4 3 defense, which is not what he's suited for.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: He's like 240 pounds at defensive end, which bondmills like 245 to 50, but still like he's not the ideal size for that.
- 16:53[SPEAKER_00]: And you may not have the same type of bend required on a thinner defensive line.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to say thinner, I mean, 4 man wide versus 5 man wide.
- 17:03[SPEAKER_00]: What you have a 5 man front, your 5 tech is basically a defensive tackle.
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Right, you have a no tackles going to have the shade the center played directly over the center, maybe you'll play at the one tech spot, and then you have your other guys going to play the four eye, maybe even at the five tech depending on if you're in a wide alignment or, you know, inside alignment, and then if you're playing more of a four three under four three over style three fourish is like a hybrid, you're looking at.
- 17:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, something different entirely, but now if you're looking at a true five-man front, the team is in, you know, 12 personnel or 21 personnel where they got only two wide receivers out there, but they got two tight ends or two running backs or whatever combination, you're looking at a five-man front that can now go one-on-one against the offensive line.
- 17:51[SPEAKER_00]: You get one-on-one against
- 17:59[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 18:00[SPEAKER_00]: These guys beat when I was down walker.
- 18:01[SPEAKER_00]: He beat when I was he did last year.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: Not so good against the double team, but the unwalker really good against what I want.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: This five minute front thing might be something that we grow to love, especially with Jim that are running it.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: Like the man's a genius.
- 18:16[SPEAKER_00]: So let's hope that he can use the pieces that he has and make a defense that's strong and, you know, powerful enough to help benefit of time, you know.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: And what I mean by that is the amount of time it takes for Greg Russo to get from stance to quarterback.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see Greg Russo get us both sexy, so bad.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_00]: Now, Michael Hoyt, fully healthy, looks good.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: right.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: We got a dog back and I already kind of talked about this in that last rant I did.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: So I just wanted to make sure I put it on the screen.
- 18:55[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Hoyt is fully healthy.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Running with the dogs looks good.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_00]: And then we're going to talk about here.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_00]: Also, Javan Solomon has looked better in the three four defensive gym Leonard, both those guys are looking improved, oh, I don't know about what, looking improved outside of the fact that he had to turn it Achilles and now he's playing so that's an improvement, but
- 19:21[SPEAKER_00]: we'll see we'll see and we don't have to wait till week eight to see him we don't have to go through six weeks of you know the schedule then the buy and then he can come back and I don't know who have him week one if he's healthy enough which from all you know all signs are pointing that he is now next point I'm trying to cover the defense first and we'll go to the offense right so defense according to
- 19:50[SPEAKER_00]: Slash outside the line back at Greg Russo.
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: Out wider on the line could open his potential in past rush.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: Kind of covered his tool a little bit.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_00]: Greg Russo, on the line, has looked pretty good.
- 20:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's gotten us like an average of like eight sacks a year.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's not bad.
- 20:08[SPEAKER_00]: Could be better.
- 20:10[SPEAKER_00]: Could this difference be the key to unlocking his latent potential, Dragon Ball style?
- 20:16[SPEAKER_00]: and allow him to bend those corners and get to the quarterback more often would be nice.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_00]: Mike from Buffalo Plus said that our said this is group's year.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: He believes he will have at least 10 seconds.
- 20:29[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I'm with him.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: I watch that same show.
- 20:31[SPEAKER_00]: I saw that and I'm big on Greg Russo.
- 20:34[SPEAKER_00]: I love Greg Russo.
- 20:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's excellent against the run and he could be so much better against the past and I think
- 20:43[SPEAKER_00]: You know, because my Carolina saw it, and I think I'm seeing it too.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_00]: I'm putting, I'm picking up what he's putting down, that Greg Russo has so much potential about it.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_00]: He may have just been not put in the best environment for him this year as a past Russia.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_00]: Now, here's the thing, if he lights it up as a past Russia, you can see he gets a 12-sex season this year, 15-sex season, whatever it is.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_00]: If the man puts up double-digit-saxis here, that contract that he's signed, looks so much
- 21:13[SPEAKER_00]: It looks so much better, right?
- 21:15[SPEAKER_00]: Because now you're talking about a guy who's on a four year extension, this is the first year that four year extension if I am correct, unless it's next year.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_00]: So I believe it's this year.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_00]: And at $20 million a year, you're getting a guy who's putting up 12 sex.
- 21:28[SPEAKER_00]: A season that is monumental value for the position.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_00]: Just saying, past rush is a premium.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_00]: That'd be a gorgeous thing to see.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: See, man, I'm just excited to see what Jim is going to do with our defense.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be both Bobby.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: You'll be both.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_00]: I cannot wait.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: I see a profile picture.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: There's a bigger on my screen there.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_00]: Let's be you and your lovely wife.
- 21:56[SPEAKER_00]: Regulations.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_00]: Now moving on from Greg yourself in the defense of line or the edge rush position.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_00]: The next guy we're going to talk about is Dwayne Carter.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: And this can be a quick one too, right?
- 22:14[SPEAKER_00]: Dwayne Carter's put on like 30 pounds.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_00]: So he went from like 305 to like B35, 340.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: And apparently he looks pretty good.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: Looks solid at no stack.
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's been getting some rep with the first team.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_00]: Who was it?
- 22:26[SPEAKER_00]: Dion Walker was supposed to be out there with the first team.
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: He was late to the huddle.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_00]: So Dion or Dwayne Carter went and took the reps. And apparently he looked good.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: So there was a positive sign
- 22:39[SPEAKER_00]: as a three-tech.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't really popping, right?
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: It wasn't it wasn't clicking for him.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_00]: He just looked kind of lost out there.
- 22:46[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe he was supposed to be a one tech.
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, maybe maybe he should again the way before and back up day one Jones, you know.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: But now he's in his bag and gaining the weight and hopefully he's doing that correctly.
- 23:01[SPEAKER_00]: So that way he can be the big fat bastard in the middle of the plug the defense and to allow the guys around him to improve.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: Now I know Vita Veda came available via trade, available via trade.
- 23:14[SPEAKER_00]: We all know that that is a negotiation tactic.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_00]: He said he wants to go to team in California or the Raiders He doesn't have a no trade class, so he doesn't really get to choose where he goes, but he could always refuse to report If I'm ready to be in a kick tires on that, but I don't think he's going anywhere.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's gonna end up staying in Tampa.
- 23:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're gonna pay him The big and my field thing is kind of crazy over there, but doing Carter
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: You know, getting his reps and looking good on the field is a positive sign and I will take that every freaking time every time.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_00]: So looking to see if landing hopefully landing Jackson better now than he that is broke.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so he put on a bunch of weight to he jumped up from 260 to 285 so that's 25 pounds for him to and for him being a smaller guy than doing Carter that's a higher percentage of body weight that he put on, but he looks good.
- 24:12[SPEAKER_00]: But he's going to be playing defensive end in a three four.
- 24:15[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to be playing five-tech or four-eye.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_00]: And we have a bunch of those guys.
- 24:19[SPEAKER_00]: We have Ed Oliver.
- 24:20[SPEAKER_00]: We have TJ Sanders.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: We have land in Jackson.
- 24:24[SPEAKER_00]: We've got Zane Durant.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_00]: But we've got defensive tackles.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: We've got defensive ends.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_00]: We've got no tackles.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: We'll now, you know, Zion loaves on the team still.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's more of a replacement level backup.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_00]: Also for dairy and math this who's you know got a motor on them, but, you know, probably he's working on his technique because he's not, you know, being able to stick anywhere, but yeah, it would be nice.
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: See, if we went to Super Bowl this year, will it be because of DC Jim or Henko's Joe?
- 25:00[SPEAKER_00]: So, the answer is both, okay.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: The answer is both and here's why.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Brady's been here already.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_00]: We already know the offense is nasty.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_00]: You had a DJ Moore, now you've had it some more nasty to it.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Brady can open up his offense, the offense should do better.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's also now the head coach.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: So because of that, Sean McDermott, who was our head coach before, but also our defensive play caller,
- 25:35[SPEAKER_00]: is out right he's out as both positions obviously he was fired and so Bobby Babbage is now in Green Bay as a lineback with Coach I believe and so he had to bring in his own defensive coordinator he chose Jim Leonard of the Broncos after he saw that game and how he coached against his offense decided hey
- 25:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to go get that guy because he wants to, you know, become a head coach sooner rather than later.
- 25:59[SPEAKER_00]: So what do you do?
- 26:00[SPEAKER_00]: You call him Jim Leonard.
- 26:01[SPEAKER_00]: Hey buddy, we got a job for you.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_00]: It's a promotion for what you got.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_00]: We want you to be our defense coordinator and Jim Leonard will bring his scheme here and implement it with his team.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_00]: So that will be one reason why.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: But the fact that Joe Brady becomes a head coach is the reason why Jim Leonard is here in the first place.
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: So it's both.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_00]: But if you're looking purely from a football perspective, the thing that would get us over the hump, if we went to the world this year is likely Jim Lennon's defense because Jim Lennon's defense is new.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_00]: Joe, but his offense has been here.
- 26:30[SPEAKER_00]: This would be a third year, offensive coordinator with the team.
- 26:33[SPEAKER_00]: If he was still the offensive coordinator, he is now the head coach, so it's just their year with the team, but it's still his third year to call him plays.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_00]: But to change,
- 26:44[SPEAKER_00]: really is on the defensive side of the ball.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now, do we know how much influence that Sean McDermott had on the offense?
- 26:50[SPEAKER_00]: No, we'll never know that.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_00]: it is what it is.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_00]: But I think that the hiring of Jim Leonard was very conscientious of Joe Brady.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_00]: There's a very conscientious move realizing, hey, this guy's defense probably should have been in the Super Bowl this past year, but Bo Nix got hurt in the game they played against us.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_00]: And the Patreys had the luxury of playing against Stitham who they know like the regular hand.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, it was just got off of the watch.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 27:20[SPEAKER_00]: it is what it is.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_00]: So, I hope that answers your question.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_00]: Did my best.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_00]: Now, the way card is good.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_00]: Cool.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_00]: Another guy in the defense that looks pretty good.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_00]: is rookie linebacker Caleb e-larms or rookie inside linebacker running with the first team as the Mike linebacker meaning the green dot meaning the guy calling the defense looks like he has a firm grasp of the defense not only that he's kicking coaches out of his out of his huddle Jim Leonard walked and walked up to the defense funnel he told him to shut up and get out
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: Not knowing it was Jim Leonard.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: Jim Leonard liked that.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Like, though, this guy took command.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's a rookie linebacker, dressed up in the fourth round, and this dude is out here taking command of his defense.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like anybody just walk up in his stuff and barking in the orders.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's not, I don't know, get out of here.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_00]: This is my defense.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm calling.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, sorry coach.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_00]: Get out.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Brady, a couple weeks ago, you know, a month ago in OTAs, same deal, came up to the defensive photo.
- 28:32[SPEAKER_00]: How did you get out?
- 28:33[SPEAKER_00]: Get out.
- 28:35[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, shoot, that's, that's coach.
- 28:38[SPEAKER_00]: He is a leader, clearly a natural born leader.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_00]: He is also a hitter.
- 28:47[SPEAKER_00]: which is something I used to describe Matt Milano earlier in his career.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: A thumper, Caleb Ealarmzor is being very cerebral and very intelligent about how he's conducting himself.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_00]: He is firmly trying to take the job.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_00]: Like Gilbert he said, if you wanna job, take the job.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_00]: Go get it.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_00]: No job is giving, I don't care how much you earn.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what draft pick you are.
- 29:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what your contract says.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care about none of that.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_00]: You wanna job?
- 29:15[SPEAKER_00]: Go take it.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_00]: And Caleb Elam's or is doing exactly that.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Elam's or is got there not want to give up his spot to anybody.
- 29:26[SPEAKER_00]: And I am here for it.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_00]: When Matt Milano came out of the draft back in 2017, I saw it in a preseason.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_00]: I saw it in training camp.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_00]: And I was like, that didn't need to start for some reason.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_00]: They started to Ramon Humber.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know what the heck that was about.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_00]: Eventually, Ramon got hurt.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_00]: Bono went in, never looked back.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_00]: And I have a similar feeling about Caleb Eeler and Zord.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_00]: Mono is a fifth rompick.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_00]: People are either compared to this fourth rompick to Matt Milano.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_00]: Mono is a fifth-round pick.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_00]: Your draft spot doesn't matter if you're a damn dog.
- 30:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that's exactly what he's proven himself to be.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: He's a dog.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's a beast.
- 30:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's a freaking problem.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Eeler and Zord's out there trying
- 30:13[SPEAKER_00]: to win this job.
- 30:14[SPEAKER_00]: I don't actually know what I might be lying about that.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_00]: He might not be trying this made just be his destiny to go out there and take that job.
- 30:21[SPEAKER_00]: He's out there doing everything in his power to learn the defense and he's implementing what he's learned on the field in real time.
- 30:28[SPEAKER_00]: That is actual intelligence folks.
- 30:30[SPEAKER_00]: got man is brains and brawn.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_00]: So Kaley Williams or watch out for him Preseason's gonna show and we haven't seen any of Dorian Williams, and we haven't seen any to rob her not really.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_00]: Not in Tindrails.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's been It's been a Kaley Williams or and I forget it was in linebackers, but I can look it up.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was not one day.
- 30:51[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, and she's a safety There's another guy's undersized
- 30:59[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I'm going to pull it up anyway, so position line back up.
- 31:09[SPEAKER_00]: Keyante Jenkins, that's the guy right there.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_00]: I'm 49 long here.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm 49 middle of defense.
- 31:14[SPEAKER_00]: Looks awfully smooth, but he's only 211 pounds according to the bill's website.
- 31:20[SPEAKER_00]: undersized, but if he's out there playing good, I don't care how big he is.
- 31:23[SPEAKER_00]: Let him play.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_00]: Let the man cook.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_00]: Right to Rubinard and Dory Williams have not been seen on the field because of their interest from last year.
- 31:33[SPEAKER_00]: Dory and actually broke his knee or something.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_00]: Fractured his patella or something like that.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_00]: So we're hopefully the best for him, but I'm not going to be the one to take the guy off the field if he's playing like a damn beast.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely not.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: This guy's gonna be out there playing with his hair on fire.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 31:52[SPEAKER_00]: My little brother in the building, let's go, bro.
- 31:54[SPEAKER_00]: I love you.
- 31:55[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks for coming to visit yesterday.
- 31:59[SPEAKER_00]: Thank God CJ Garner, Johnson only had a calf strain on the lower calf.
- 32:06[SPEAKER_00]: He could have been worse than God it wasn't.
- 32:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you there.
- 32:08[SPEAKER_00]: He was actually the first thing I talked about on the pod.
- 32:10[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, Joey Hatch, you know, I think in a leg buddy.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_00]: uh... okay alarms or said this is my huddle and i will be here for the next five years minimum minimum
- 32:30[SPEAKER_00]: It's contract only four, so he must be counting on an extension.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_00]: Let's go.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_00]: Just like Skybell, I don't know if you call him that, please, there was a doorbell camera.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_00]: You still install Skybell.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_00]: Skybell seems a garbage.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_00]: Just like Skybell, he was taking in the later rounds, but he's better than where he was picked exactly.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_00]: Most of the guys, the bill's drafted in the fourth, fifth, sixth round.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_00]: For guys who had higher draft grades, but we're just there, like jetting kill gore.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_00]: See, I definitely will come see this as you need that for our defense.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: So you with some of the linebackers hurt, it gives him more chance.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, it does.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_00]: Jenkins is only, is also only 24.
- 33:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I like that too.
- 33:16[SPEAKER_00]: Nice young linebackers.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think concerns you about him is his weight, but again, if he's out there playing like a damn dog, then you let him pull, you let him ball.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_00]: You let him ball, you worry about injuries later, you know, he's a linebacker, he's built like a big safety.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: Let him, let, let, let, jick is out there and let him ball.
- 33:35[SPEAKER_00]: If he's making tackles, I, Droid Polimala was what, 215 pounds, 215 pounds.
- 33:41[SPEAKER_00]: No one cares, he played at the line.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: Now,
- 33:48[SPEAKER_00]: What I start, can't fit Jenkins know, but what I have sub packages for him, if I knew that I needed to be able to stop a, you know, to your run, you're, you're correct on that.
- 34:00[SPEAKER_00]: I sure would.
- 34:03[SPEAKER_00]: To CJ has said, see, just said, he's going to be with the bills for the next five years.
- 34:11[SPEAKER_00]: Players don't want to come to Buffalo.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: It's the brotherhood that makes them want to stay.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Josh Allen, James Cook, you know, yeah, and you know what, I'm going to say it, you have to thank Sean McDermott for that.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: You have to.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_00]: Someone had to build that brotherhood.
- 34:35[SPEAKER_00]: Someone had to install that freaking culture here.
- 34:40[SPEAKER_00]: And while he couldn't get us over the hump,
- 34:46[SPEAKER_00]: Again, I wasn't happy when it was fired, but I understand, but the culture he built and then handing it off to Joe Brady, who was here during that culture.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: So we didn't just get some new guys in a terrible, down and try and start something new.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_00]: No, get a guy who can go get another guy who can help us win a Super Bowl.
- 35:08[SPEAKER_00]: That's the idea here.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: Bobby, yellow, well, my man, Bobby.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we should do need to put that defense.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: Take him out versus the Ravens, stiff arm off the screen.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: Bro, who are you talking about?
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: And did you help on that one?
- 35:30[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he's talking about like if you play Derek Henry and Kiana Ted Jenkins is out there at 2-11.
- 35:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he might eat my kit tossed.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: Derek Henry's big is hell.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: He's big.
- 35:39[SPEAKER_00]: Big boy.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_00]: Derek Henry.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 35:43[SPEAKER_00]: back to the list, can't it be looms or run out of the first team?
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: He might just win a starting job.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_00]: He might be the Mike.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_00]: Toro Bernard might be relegated to the Will I'm backer.
- 35:55[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, I don't make the rules.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: I just play by him.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_00]: Now, rookie safety,
- 36:04[SPEAKER_00]: tormenting the second team defense or often.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_00]: On the second team defense playing against the second team offense Kyle and he had like two new sections on them on the Saturday or Friday or Thursday or Saturday because they didn't practice Friday.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: And he has been out there like a man possessed and not a chance to go under Johnson is down and injured.
- 36:25[SPEAKER_00]: Get a kill gore is probably going to see most of those first team reps. Now I know Gino Stone was the first one to step in for him, but.
- 36:33[SPEAKER_00]: I think that before you know it, John Kilgore is going to be out there getting first team reps. And so I can't wait to see when that happens.
- 36:40[SPEAKER_00]: But he's been out there balling with a second team, straight up balling.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now the guy who just we took later on the draft, who had a higher grade.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_00]: And because of his position, you know, being nickel slash safety, people just avoided them and, you know, sometimes the rich get richer.
- 37:03[SPEAKER_00]: small line back here.
- 37:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's what I thought you meant.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_00]: Is he even healthy?
- 37:08[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, could he mean?
- 37:09[SPEAKER_00]: God, no, he mean.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_00]: But uh, see, yeah, that's basically for the defense, you know, like Gino Stone went in there for a chance to go out in a Johnson when he got hurt, uh, Elam Zorz playing masterful middle linebacker for a rookie, like the corners look good, Benford and Harrison and IGB look looking good with the second team.
- 37:36[SPEAKER_00]: along with Tony on O'Pride, the offer has been looking pretty good, they're sticky and coverage, you know, defensive line.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_00]: We're not going to know anything about them, so I'm not even going to talk about them to an extent until the pads come on.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_00]: That's when you know what's going on with the offensive and defensive line.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_00]: So I've been kind of like just mum on them.
- 37:52[SPEAKER_00]: I'll bring them up and say that hey, they've looked good, but when I say they look good, I don't mean like they're actually doing anything, you know, no pads, meaning you're not actually going all out for collision.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_00]: You're just kind of
- 38:03[SPEAKER_00]: doing your techniques, and so they look good in their techniques, but they, the linemen aren't doing jack, neither are the full backs, and the tight ends are in line blocking, it's not much there either, it's all walk through stuff basically.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now the guys in coverage, and the guys running the routes, the guys throwing the balls, they're the guys actually doing work right now,
- 38:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's healthy, but I don't know if he's fully healthy.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know he's not listed on the internet report, but I know he's working on a sidelines, so we'll see.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_00]: The CJGJ setback could be a blessing in disguise giving Kildor some very important reps.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_00]: It could be.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to call somebody getting hurt a blessing, but at the same time, you have to try and be as positive as you can.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_00]: The power positivity new day is important, so I definitely want the Buffalo Bills to be as positive as possible, so that way they can achieve the goal, winning a sort of goal.
- 39:17[SPEAKER_00]: And it's next man up, it's just the way it is, nature of the beast.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to Steve Noble back in the building too.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_00]: Moving to the offense, the obvious first in the mention is our quarterback Joshua Patrick Allen new girl dad by the way, I am a girl dad, both my girls are 23 years old and out of college one of them is married, husbands and military, the other one is dating soldier, dating one is going to do the military when they grew up, there they are.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_00]: But it is what it is, it is what it is.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_00]: Opportunity is versus blessing, hey, man.
- 40:02[SPEAKER_00]: Got to love it.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_00]: See, what's up with cornerback Dorian's strong.
- 40:05[SPEAKER_00]: So he had his next surgery after the season or during the season, and he's been around, but there's no telling if he's gonna be able to play yet.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't gotten any updates on that yet.
- 40:17[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what happens.
- 40:18[SPEAKER_00]: That'll be big news when it does come out, but we don't know yet.
- 40:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm hoping for him because he looked good.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_00]: He looked really good last year when he had to play and then he tore his neck up and that's that's that's absolutely tragic because he had a promising young career coming out as a six round pick.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_00]: Brandon, we might have been able to do it again.
- 40:35[SPEAKER_00]: Going to six round drafting a corner having them come out and then light it up in the NFL.
- 40:41[SPEAKER_00]: But no, what happened?
- 40:43[SPEAKER_00]: Do we got hurt?
- 40:44[SPEAKER_00]: We could have had like Benford one and two, but now, you know, unfortunately, don't even got hurt, which I was so hopeful for him.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_00]: We would draft any amount of Virginia Tech.
- 40:54[SPEAKER_00]: I just...
- 40:56[SPEAKER_00]: It's hard to be positive when somebody, you know, tears in a neck up like that.
- 41:00[SPEAKER_00]: It sucks, but, you know, buses life and we have to deal with it.
- 41:04[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the Kevin Everett's out there exists.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's sad, but, you know, you deal with it.
- 41:14[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, our quarterback, Joshua Patrick on the girl dad, new dad, new husband last year, new father this year, and why does he have a DJ more have been developing chemistry and they look outstanding out there, DJ more making toe tap catches on a sideline, DJ more getting 50 yards down the field, Josh, I'm laying out a 60 yard in the air, bomb, right in his hands, DJ more catching an out route or an in-cut route.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_00]: and in cutting up the middle, what would it be to touch down no matter what, even if the pads run.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Moore and Josh Allen developing this chemistry and a lot of the beat reporters have said, and I'm pretty sure one of them was South Capaccio, that he reminds him of Stefan Diggs and how he played with Josh Allen.
- 41:56[SPEAKER_00]: That chemistry was just there, but minus the attitude.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, and he might not be as good as good as Stefan Diggs.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's fine too.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fine with that.
- 42:08[SPEAKER_00]: He might not be as good as Diggs.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_00]: He maybe he is.
- 42:11[SPEAKER_00]: Stefan Diggs wasn't as good as Stefan Diggs until he became Josh Allen's Stefan Diggs.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_00]: That's the fact of life.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_00]: When he got the Buffalo, he started in more opportunities and he had played a sort of thing with the lead quarterback.
- 42:23[SPEAKER_00]: That's when Stefan Diggs numbers blew up.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's not just like he was awesome in a sort of because he was awesome in a sort of, but he wasn't like he isn't buffalo.
- 42:33[SPEAKER_00]: His numbers weren't 1,500 yards on 127 catches for eight touchdowns awesome in Minnesota.
- 42:38[SPEAKER_00]: They were like, you know, 111 yards, nine touchdowns on 70 catches.
- 42:43[SPEAKER_00]: But 127 catches for freaking 1500 yards and eight touchdowns.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: That's that's crazy.
- 42:51[SPEAKER_00]: And the touchdown number isn't really the important one.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's just a stat that I'm listening because it goes with it.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: But that's crazy.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: But people will say that stuff on digs made Josh Allen.
- 43:03[SPEAKER_00]: They kind of made each other.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_00]: because Josh had a solid year before step day's got here.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_00]: He put up like 28 touchdowns total, 20 through the air, one eight on the eight on the ground.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_00]: He had like 15 interceptions.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_00]: So he was on his way to improve and already.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: Then you give him step on digs, a true weapon.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's like giving a ninja, using a wooden sword and a brand new freshly sharpened katana.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_00]: See what the damage difference is gonna be.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: That's what you did.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_00]: You gave Josh that on a true tool of the craft and he made use of it.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_00]: racked up numbers with Stefan Diggs.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_00]: Not the same as Stefan Diggs.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't earn his way.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_00]: But he just Stefan Diggs wasn't a dog because he actually was.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_00]: He was one of the best wide receivers in the NFL and Josh Allen's one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and they did it together.
- 43:46[SPEAKER_00]: They both were very mutually beneficial until they weren't.
- 43:52[SPEAKER_00]: DJ Moore feels like him and Josh Allen are going to be also mutually beneficial even if it's for only the next four years, which is how much time Stefan Diggs and Josh Allen had and it felt like it was a long time
- 44:03[SPEAKER_00]: It felt like a long time.
- 44:05[SPEAKER_00]: Now it feels like a short time, because it's been gone for like two years.
- 44:09[SPEAKER_00]: And it's like, wow, four years.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_00]: Over a thousand yards every year, more than eight touchdowns or eight or more touchdowns every year, more than 90 catches every year.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_00]: I think DJ Morgan do that same thing.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_00]: Now, will he get 1500 yards?
- 44:25[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about that.
- 44:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about that, but the chemistry that they're building in camp right now,
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: freaking good, freaking good together.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'm enjoying it.
- 44:38[SPEAKER_00]: So, we'll ride on with that.
- 44:41[SPEAKER_00]: Very happy what I've been seeing out of our quarterback and our new wide receiver one.
- 44:46[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, let's be the spirit exciting.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let's talk about some boring stuff real quick and then we'll you know, get back into some more fun stuff, right?
- 44:56[SPEAKER_00]: Senator, Patrick Vampire and Granger and
- 45:04[SPEAKER_00]: as well as off in the technical chase line.
- 45:07[SPEAKER_00]: Now, chase line, taking a rift at guard, has always made sense to me, because he's got short arms.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, he's like in the...
- 45:15[SPEAKER_00]: 5th percentile or whatever it is when it comes to arm length really short arms for the position of tackle and you know you have to be able to keep guys off your body attack You know you're pushing people off your away and swim moves.
- 45:27[SPEAKER_00]: You're stopping him from you know ripping and swimming off of you and the easiest way to do this to have nice long arms to where you can Hunter hands slap him like a civil wrestler and keep pushing him along the edge if you have short arms they can out run your arm length and
- 45:42[SPEAKER_00]: gets to the quarterback.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_00]: So it's, unless your technique is just that dang dope.
- 45:46[SPEAKER_00]: And if it's not, then, you know, you stuck out there holding a big ol' bag of doggy doing it's not even your dog.
- 45:55[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see, uh, Josh and Diggs helped each other make it.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: I guess they did.
- 46:01[SPEAKER_00]: They were both very mutually beneficial.
- 46:03[SPEAKER_00]: So Doc and said the bills never want to Super Bowl because the stadium is cursed.
- 46:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, new stadium on here, not about that anymore.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: We need a kicker.
- 46:12[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if we need a kicker or not, but we will find out if we do preseason's coming and we'll know and if we do Then you then you cut your boy a bass and you call prettier if one more year and you draft another kicker They said Tyler Bass had us had to start all over kicking ten yard field goals.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Wow Yep, after his surgery Say not if he's got touchdowns still got a kick the extra point buddy.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: Come on now
- 46:46[SPEAKER_00]: Well man, Bobby Hall, smart ass, I love it.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: All right, back to the banners.
- 46:54[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, these guys have been playing at guard.
- 46:57[SPEAKER_00]: We already have, you know, our starting center in the kind of a govern, he came back on a, you know,
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: on a hometown discount, him and his wife won't stay in Buffalo.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_00]: They wanted to make the money make sense and make it work.
- 47:11[SPEAKER_00]: As one of the better centers in the league, he could have gone out there and probably got upward of 16 to 20 million dollars a year.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_00]: He stayed for like 12, 13 million dollars a year.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_00]: Big shout out to the kind of we're going to be doing that.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_00]: But that then displays such a rampant Granger, who was the heir apparent potentially.
- 47:26[SPEAKER_00]: And now he's looking to compete for the left-guard job.
- 47:33[SPEAKER_00]: But he's also, you know, just trying out that guard to make sure he can even get a roster spot.
- 47:39[SPEAKER_00]: Because you know, if one of these two guys can play center and guard, that guy's probably going to make the team.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I guess probably going to get cut.
- 47:45[SPEAKER_00]: So they both are out there competing for that spot, that center slash guard backup, along with Austin Corbett and Alec Anderson.
- 47:54[SPEAKER_00]: Because one of those two guys is going to be a starter.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: No, it's going to be a backup.
- 47:56[SPEAKER_00]: Unless one of these guys can sneak in there and take the job like,
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: Joe Brady said, if you want the job, take it.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_00]: So boys, if you want the job, take it.
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: But.
- 48:11[SPEAKER_00]: It looks like it's a two-man race as of right now.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_00]: And that's the next, next-man race.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: Guard, Alec Anderson, and Austin Corbett have both been alternating first team reps.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_00]: The first day of camp.
- 48:23[SPEAKER_00]: Alec Anderson started with the first team.
- 48:25[SPEAKER_00]: Corbett got some reps later on in the practice.
- 48:28[SPEAKER_00]: Second day, they alternate those roles and Austin Corbett started that day off as he started left-guards.
- 48:36[SPEAKER_00]: Excuse me, did I have, did I have right-guards?
- 48:38[SPEAKER_00]: Left-guards, okay, I'll just correct there.
- 48:42[SPEAKER_00]: So Bobby Sanders is the other part of my podcast.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_00]: So you were on with Robbie, weren't you?
- 48:59[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, Bobby, Robbie, okay.
- 49:01[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 49:03[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, yeah.
- 49:04[SPEAKER_00]: I was just saying, I was like, even Robbie, but Bobby and Robbie is the same Robert.
- 49:08[SPEAKER_00]: So Connor can still make pizza for the O.L.
- 49:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he can.
- 49:12[SPEAKER_00]: And, you know, if it's cushionberry or vanpring Granger does good enough at center, you know, maybe they kick him back out the guard, which they probably have to throw a little bonus money because guards get paid more than centers, but it's in here and over there.
- 49:28[SPEAKER_00]: 12th man, Mafia, let's go.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_00]: 716 blizzard.
- 49:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, it's my man, Robbie.
- 49:36[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, Robbie Snyder.
- 49:39[SPEAKER_00]: Spoboy.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_00]: Love that kid.
- 49:43[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, my boy Jacob Spears.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_00]: Good kids right there.
- 49:48[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so key on Coleman has been giving opportunity that punt returner.
- 49:52[SPEAKER_00]: So he's been out there returning points and he's also looks sharp in his route running.
- 49:57[SPEAKER_00]: He did have a drop the first pass turn his way on Monday,
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: No, it was Wednesday.
- 50:06[SPEAKER_00]: Wednesday, Thursday, skip Friday, Saturday.
- 50:09[SPEAKER_00]: So on Sunday, Wednesday, Josh hit him with the pass.
- 50:13[SPEAKER_00]: It bounced off his chest plate, you know, boo, right.
- 50:17[SPEAKER_00]: And then Josh Allen hits him.
- 50:19[SPEAKER_00]: The very next play goes right back to him.
- 50:21[SPEAKER_00]: Kiom makes the play.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_00]: So the effort to make sure that Kiom Coleman isn't being discouraged.
- 50:26[SPEAKER_00]: And the effort to make sure that Kiom Coleman knows that they believe in him is being given.
- 50:31[SPEAKER_00]: Buffalo Bills are putting effort into making sure Kian Coleman is comfortable and that he knows that he's wanted here.
- 50:38[SPEAKER_00]: Now, you can't baby the kid forever, but you can gain positive results from doing something like this short term.
- 50:45[SPEAKER_00]: That is that is true.
- 50:46[SPEAKER_00]: That's a very easy way to motivate people.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_00]: So there's that.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_00]: Hopefully re-signed Cyrus.
- 50:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Simon needs to be back.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, he doesn't allow many sex.
- 50:59[SPEAKER_00]: I think he's allowed two sexes in tire time and NFL.
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: So, do with that.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_00]: What you will, he also doesn't commit a lot of penalties.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't get named a lot.
- 51:07[SPEAKER_00]: Like, you don't hear a lot about him.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 51:08[SPEAKER_00]: Because, well, he does just freaking job.
- 51:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, there we go.
- 51:12[SPEAKER_00]: He also manhandled Chris Jones couple years ago.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_00]: I love seeing it.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_00]: Connor allowed no sack slasher.
- 51:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's true.
- 51:19[SPEAKER_00]: He allowed no sack slasher.
- 51:20[SPEAKER_00]: He's also a center.
- 51:21[SPEAKER_00]: So most defenses don't have a guy lining up directly over him.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_00]: Unless there are three four obviously and
- 51:27[SPEAKER_00]: Most teams in the fellow are currently 4-3s.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: Although there is a popular shift to a 3-4 right now, but it's more this movement-based front, 3-4 defense that we're seeing a lot more of the exotic thing.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_00]: But the NFL moves in phases.
- 51:42[SPEAKER_00]: You'll see 3-4 come in and 4-3 make it come back.
- 51:46[SPEAKER_00]: And offense is a design themselves in a way to beat a 4-3.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: And then 3-4s start coming back.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_00]: And then you don't want to be behind the curve ever.
- 51:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's the problem.
- 52:00[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so Keon is getting chances like to see it, but still.
- 52:07[SPEAKER_00]: Also, a guy we thought was, you know, dead in the water to make this roster, Joshua Palmer has been doing pretty dang good in practice, especially the last couple days.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_00]: Looks sharp at his routes, getting open, coverage has been sticky,
- 52:26[SPEAKER_00]: He looked sharp in out of his brakes, hand on ball, catch ball, so competition is good, right?
- 52:36[SPEAKER_00]: We don't want anybody, you know, on his team that's like, oh, that's a clear cut out of the guys that we expect stuff from.
- 52:41[SPEAKER_00]: And we expect stuff from Palmer last year who was injured most of the year, a lot of people have already given up on the guy.
- 52:46[SPEAKER_00]: I have not, although they traded him, I would understand, again, difference between agreeing and understanding.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't agree with something that's firing, but I understand it.
- 52:56[SPEAKER_00]: the traditional Palmer.
- 52:57[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if I agree with it, but I would understand it.
- 52:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's money wasted for minimum salary cap gain, but I would understand.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_00]: But again, I'm saying, but a lot, I don't know why, but it is what it is.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_00]: I'm liking that I'm hearing, he's looking good in camp.
- 53:17[SPEAKER_00]: The more good wide receivers we have, the better this offense is, if someone goes down, the more capable wide receivers we have, the more likely this offense is to not sputter out and fall apart.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_00]: So, Joshua Palmer, keep it up buddy.
- 53:31[SPEAKER_00]: Come back to the comments, see what's over under on Alcanism fights during games.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, depends on if he starts.
- 53:41[SPEAKER_00]: If Alcanism becomes a starter, I'm going to say that over under is like four, four and a half.
- 53:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we'll go four and a half.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_00]: These are firecracker dude, which I wouldn't expect out of a guy at UCLA offensive linemen.
- 53:56[SPEAKER_00]: You know, where I think offensive linemen, I think Iowa, Northern Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Wisconsin.
- 54:04[SPEAKER_00]: I think, you know, the schools from states, whether you're known to have big fat bastards who play physical sports and do physical manual labor like farming and cattle ranching.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_00]: stuff like that.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_00]: Where's that?
- 54:18[SPEAKER_00]: Like a lot of farming and cattle ranching happens in Minnesota, with cattle and stuff like that happens in Oklahoma, Kansas, Iowa, the Midwest.
- 54:30[SPEAKER_00]: You know, like where a lot of the stuff happens.
- 54:33[SPEAKER_00]: Guy comes from UCLA.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now I don't know where he's actually
- 54:43[SPEAKER_00]: It's, uh, it's gonna be interesting.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_00]: I think I don't much.
- 54:46[SPEAKER_00]: Let's see.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, well, where is it?
- 54:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, we'll.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to do this.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_00]: Alec Anderson.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_00]: I bet he went to UCLA, but he's probably from like,
- 55:11[SPEAKER_00]: Some place, he's from Massachusetts, some of them are Massachusetts.
- 55:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I can see that.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_00]: No fighting thing.
- 55:26[SPEAKER_00]: All right, nobody has blueprint on this defense.
- 55:28[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody will know where the blitz is coming from.
- 55:31[SPEAKER_00]: I kind of agree with that because this defense is super multiple, but you can actually drop both outside linebackers into coverage, particularly in the flats of the crow flats, and then have your inside linebackers blitz, I mean, so many different things you can do.
- 55:45[SPEAKER_00]: You can have a safety blitz and all of your linebackers, including outside linebackers following the coverage.
- 55:50[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is just a lot that can be done.
- 55:56[SPEAKER_00]: Stay healthy, Josh Palmer.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with you there.
- 55:58[SPEAKER_00]: We need all the healthy receivers we can get.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_00]: Say, and I don't think we'll know what this defense is until a couple games into this season.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: There will be people in and out switching different coverage according to coach.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_00]: We're looking real balanced right now.
- 56:16[SPEAKER_00]: I agree.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_00]: See offensive linemen and
- 56:25[SPEAKER_00]: corn fed colossis or colossi how do you say colossis in multiple in plural form?
- 56:33[SPEAKER_00]: is that a colossis is is it recolossi or uh whatever
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: He did pummersign a three year 30 million dollar something like that.
- 56:51[SPEAKER_00]: It was something like that.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think it was like I think it was almost exactly what The other guy freaking hurt a Samuel signed But I can pull that up real quick He also went to Jamaica this off season you know spent time with family out there.
- 57:08[SPEAKER_00]: He's he's Did you make him in heritage all of his from Canada, but maybe here no there
- 57:22[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, three, you're $29 million.
- 57:23[SPEAKER_00]: You pull up the whole deal.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_00]: 2026 cash is $10.25 million.
- 57:33[SPEAKER_00]: There's a potential out after this year where we would have a dead cap of only $4.8 million.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, we would have already paid them around 20 or so.
- 57:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yep.
- 57:53[SPEAKER_00]: And so if we cut him, that last year, he would say was $7,000,000.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, not bad, not bad.
- 58:12[SPEAKER_00]: So nobody has the blueprint on the defense, but who really knows what Brady's offense would look like this year?
- 58:17[SPEAKER_00]: How much was Brady held back?
- 58:20[SPEAKER_00]: True.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_00]: how much did he need to be held back?
- 58:23[SPEAKER_00]: Wait, there's two sides that's going.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_00]: He might have been held back because he was getting too cute as Sean McDermott said.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_00]: And while we may criticize Sean McDermott for saying such things, we don't know how much truth it was involved, so we'll do that.
- 58:41[SPEAKER_00]: So it's Colossus's, okay?
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: So, Roy, play on me, man.
- 58:47[SPEAKER_00]: Colossus's, okay?
- 58:51[SPEAKER_00]: my baby bro coming through see if there if these are facts palmers three or thirty million dollars less than 600 yards of offense hey tell you what tell you that's not worth thirty million dollars I'm not sure if it's twenty or thirty but it's twenty nine but first year again injuries so it's not an excuse but it is a reason right he was looking pretty decent those first couple games
- 59:20[SPEAKER_00]: and he's very selfless like when he caught that pass cooking ladder to clear shakirikulishki gets the first down but he's he's a selfless player.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_00]: I do like that but selfless system gets your 30 million dollars.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_00]: Like he said 2928 it's 30 million dollars.
- 59:34[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just call what it is.
- 59:37[SPEAKER_00]: I do like that.
- 59:39[SPEAKER_00]: So he had a football camp in Jamaica that he went and held for the children.
- 59:43[SPEAKER_00]: That's awesome.
- 59:45[SPEAKER_00]: American football for Jamaicans will be awesome, right?
- 59:48[SPEAKER_00]: You got some fast Jamaicans.
- 59:49[SPEAKER_00]: If they're not playing receiver and catch the ball, baby boy, those boys will be dangerous.
- 59:54[SPEAKER_00]: They'll be dangerous.
- 59:56[SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah.
- 59:58[SPEAKER_00]: You know, I think it'll be more intelligent for the NFL to try and spread the NFL to countries closer to the US, rather than the UK and Australia stuff like that.
- 1:00:06[SPEAKER_00]: You got Jamaica right there.
- 1:00:08[SPEAKER_00]: You got Mexico right there, Brazil's right there.
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_00]: I know they're doing games in those countries now too, but they've been doing stuff in Europe a long time.
- 1:00:15[SPEAKER_00]: They've been doing stuff.
- 1:00:16[SPEAKER_00]: You know, cameras right there, you know, like they did the Buffalo Bill's Toronto thing, that didn't work out so much, but you know, you could play a game in British Columbia.
- 1:00:25[SPEAKER_00]: You could, you know, have the Seahawks play an Edmonton one week, you know, like do something, like, you know, you know, have the Packers play a game in Winnipeg.
- 1:00:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, just just to expand the horizons closer to home for us than spread from there.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_00]: It's not a problem with it, but it's like there are countries close to home that produce athletes like Jamaica and Brazil in Argentina and you guys get it.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_00]: So, I mean, McDermott might have held him back, looks like what happened to Les de Frasier.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe, I mean,
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't really know the extent of what happened with Lesie Frazier.
- 1:01:14[SPEAKER_00]: There's always two sides to a story, and then there's the truth.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, do with that what we will, I guess.
- 1:01:21[SPEAKER_00]: But none of those guys are here anymore, except for Joe Brady.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_00]: And basically, almost entirely new staffs.
- 1:01:30[SPEAKER_00]: New linebackers coaches, because we went to a three four.
- 1:01:32[SPEAKER_00]: New defensive line coaches, because we went to three four.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_00]: So, it is what it is.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let's finish this bad boy up.
- 1:01:42[SPEAKER_00]: rookie Skyler Bell, wider receiver out of University of Connecticut has been working in a way that looks like he will play inside and outside when on the field.
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_00]: So he's going to have slot corner and outside and that's going to be a slot corner slot receiver and outside receiver flex.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_00]: So I'll be going to play the X if we don't play the Y he'll be able to play the Z
- 1:02:11[SPEAKER_00]: And so he did that at Connecticut, so it doesn't surprise me that that's a way that they're going with it, putting it in slot, and then putting them on the outside.
- 1:02:21[SPEAKER_00]: That doesn't really surprise me at all, but it is good to know that that's what they're doing.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's just information at that point, but yeah, if anybody going to watch the Hall of Fame game this year, Arizona versus Carolina, probably not,
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_00]: like no one cares with the Hall of Fame game.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_00]: Not not built fans, the Panthers fans might, and the Cardinals fans might, but those two teams, so the Panthers are kind of on the way up, it looks like, and the Cardinals, they're probably tanking for arch-manning.
- 1:02:47[SPEAKER_00]: We'll see what happens there, but yeah, we'll see.
- 1:02:51[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think so though.
- 1:02:53[SPEAKER_00]: To, oh, I know,
- 1:02:55[SPEAKER_00]: as we brought Palmer in because he had one of the best separations in football haven't seen it we haven't seen it because he was injured though but he was getting separation early last year in the Ravens game he was getting separation you know all the way up until he got hurt he was getting his getting separation he just I don't know Josh fully trusted him yet maybe the chemistry wasn't there yet but I don't I saw plays where he was getting open just did this look different
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_00]: But if he's healthy maybe, that's why he couldn't get, yeah, I saw some separation from last year.
- 1:03:30[SPEAKER_00]: I saw it quite a bit, honestly, but if he's not the right read at the right time, then it is what it is.
- 1:03:38[SPEAKER_00]: But that makes it a timing issue with the offense, so that's something else to work on.
- 1:03:43[SPEAKER_00]: to the entire year is a mystery to us as fans and our opponents.
- 1:03:48[SPEAKER_00]: I love it and look forward to whatever it is because with Josh on 17, you have a better than average opportunity.
- 1:03:56[SPEAKER_00]: I agree with that wholeheartedly to more reason for Shakira to play outside.
- 1:04:00[SPEAKER_00]: Dude, I was looking back at some highlights, my man Dave Myers put together.
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's the founder of built-in Buffalo along with a team who's no longer here, but he's alive.
- 1:04:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_00]: They put together this highlight reel and the Pittsburgh game, where Kalushikir went off is rookie year or second year, one or two.
- 1:04:25[SPEAKER_00]: And he's like catching the ball three, quote three defenders behind them.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_00]: He's just up in the air.
- 1:04:31[SPEAKER_00]: Catch the stuff down the field.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the crossing route where he was, you know, good five, you know, not five, like 10 15 yards down the field.
- 1:04:39[SPEAKER_00]: Josh hits with the ball.
- 1:04:40[SPEAKER_00]: He breaks a cam hayward tackle on his way into the
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_00]: Stop playing with men, who should you can run routes?
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_00]: He's got short arms, so what?
- 1:04:53[SPEAKER_00]: He gets open.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_00]: Like, give a man some freaking faith in grace.
- 1:05:00[SPEAKER_00]: Skybell stayed two and a half hours late after practice, yesterday with Josh, I'm working on things.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_00]: That is work ethic, I like it.
- 1:05:09[SPEAKER_00]: Palmer is one of the best wide receiver rooms in football with the chargers.
- 1:05:15[SPEAKER_00]: He still got targets when he was healthy.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_00]: He did have some good moments more Palmer or Shakira and Loki is a good room.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_00]: I think so too.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_00]: And then if Kiana Coleman can, you know, mature, I like it.
- 1:05:31[SPEAKER_00]: AR is the man.
- 1:05:37[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know who that is.
- 1:05:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm blanking right now, so you got to help me with that.
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_00]: But moving on.
- 1:05:48[SPEAKER_00]: Why does he have a trick sure field?
- 1:05:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is the last bullet point I got.
- 1:05:52[SPEAKER_00]: By the way, if you're trying to share field, it seems to have a leg up on why the Super Mico Hardman trip place, but your team is going to turn kicks and this is an excellent run blocker.
- 1:06:01[SPEAKER_00]: Hardman is a permanent Turner and he's already moved to punt.
- 1:06:04[SPEAKER_00]: He's already, he's already had muffs.
- 1:06:06[SPEAKER_00]: He's already had some issues there.
- 1:06:08[SPEAKER_00]: Unless he goes out there in the preseason and kills it with his permanent turn stuff, try to share field's got a leg up on that six why the Super Job.
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_00]: So as of right now, my why the Super Room looks like this.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_00]: Looks like DJ Moore, Kalil Shikir.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_00]: Joshua Palmer, Keyon Coleman, Scholar Bell, Trey Sherfield, that's my wireciver room as of right now.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_00]: I really, really, really want Michael Harman to work out because he's got such good, tangible things to him.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's so fast.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_00]: He's so electric.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_00]: With the ball in his hands, he just does such good things.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_00]: When it was Kansas City, he wasn't a world leader, but he just made some plays.
- 1:06:44[SPEAKER_00]: That Super Bowl winning catch against the miners.
- 1:06:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's done things for them that I don't know
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_00]: He's got potential to be a good fifth-wide receiver or six-wide receiver, but he's just not putting together the right combination of production for the opportunities being given.
- 1:07:08[SPEAKER_00]: But you've got to use the opportunities you're given in order to get on the field and to earn a roster spot.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_00]: They're just not doing it.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_00]: And I want to see him make the roster because I love the tangibles, but man, oh, man.
- 1:07:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's a cheer for on the field.
- 1:07:28[SPEAKER_00]: To appreciate you, is he, it's sorry I've been gone for a bit been doing a lot of competition cooking and carted or catered by Sun's wedding.
- 1:07:35[SPEAKER_00]: Love you and hope to be here on more Sundays by the APE and thank you for being here and appreciating congratulations for your Sun's wedding and congratulations on the competitions.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: Don't go and report us for not being here.
- 1:07:46[SPEAKER_00]: If you guys stuff going on through your thing, bro, life is what it is.
- 1:07:51[SPEAKER_00]: I haven't been able to see my man Dan Mitchell's show
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_00]: That's my guy.
- 1:07:55[SPEAKER_00]: He probably thinks man, is he doesn't love me no more man.
- 1:07:58[SPEAKER_00]: I'll still love you Danny.
- 1:07:59[SPEAKER_00]: Still my dog and I'll be there when I can but man Work has been crazy and I haven't been able to be there and they brought their show to an earlier time So I just don't get to see live Which means I don't get to drop any super chats.
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_00]: I don't they don't get to see my comments like that
- 1:08:13[SPEAKER_00]: So, you know, don't ever feel bad about that.
- 1:08:16[SPEAKER_00]: You've got stuff going on.
- 1:08:17[SPEAKER_00]: And life happens.
- 1:08:18[SPEAKER_00]: People got families, you know, today I had church this morning.
- 1:08:21[SPEAKER_00]: I wanted to go, you know, see my pastor who had back surgery and, you know, it was preaching today.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it was, it made me happy to be in church, you know.
- 1:08:32[SPEAKER_00]: So, you got a son, you got a wedding going on.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the father is the one who takes care of his kids wedding.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_00]: God bless you for that.
- 1:08:41[SPEAKER_00]: Take care of your kids.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_00]: You got to do what you got to do.
- 1:08:44[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I hope to see you more Sunday too, especially this is your quite insightful.
- 1:08:52[SPEAKER_00]: So I definitely can't wait to see this new defense and what it can do in treating fans want to know.
- 1:08:58[SPEAKER_00]: Just remember this.
- 1:08:59[SPEAKER_00]: It is a double-edged sword, just like any of them.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_00]: Sean McGermard's defense, Ben but don't break, double-edged sword.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it'll stop the pass, but the run ended alive.
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 1:09:07[SPEAKER_00]: Because they were allowing the run to do what it did, and so the passing game wouldn't break.
- 1:09:13[SPEAKER_00]: We had the best passing defense last year, quite possibly also because our run defense was so bad that Team just decided to run the ball down our throats.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_00]: winning formula, if your offense turns the ball over at all, right?
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_00]: You can't have any tournament, your offense is my perfect ball if that's what you're going to do.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_00]: So it is what it is.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_00]: Share field is on the published.
- 1:09:37[SPEAKER_00]: What?
- 1:09:39[SPEAKER_00]: I didn't hear about that.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_00]: Appreciate that news though.
- 1:09:41[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm joking.
- 1:09:42[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back, Steve Noble Hill, yeah.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome back, buddy.
- 1:09:46[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, Trent did have a two toe catch when he was with us.
- 1:09:49[SPEAKER_00]: He did in the end zone and play off against the dolphins.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_00]: Or for us to take the division from the dolphins in the last game of season.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_00]: See, if Saber's injured, surefield is never on his team again.
- 1:10:02[SPEAKER_00]: Probably true.
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Surefield, I'll be great.
- 1:10:05[SPEAKER_00]: I get you.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_00]: My daughter had twin girls two days ago.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm a grandpa.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations, bro My twin girls are 23.

- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_00]: That is my show.
- 1:10:36[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, one last thing.
- 1:10:37[SPEAKER_00]: Punter from Florida we drafted.
- 1:10:40[SPEAKER_00]: I forget his name.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Dome in or something like that.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Ah, whatever, just pull it up.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, Yep, Tommy Dome and Jr.
- 1:10:56[SPEAKER_00]: looks like he's probably going to win that碼 job.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I think it's what 21碼碼 has been drafted in the last six years or 10 years of that.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_00]: And 20 of them ended up to starting碼 on the team, which they were drafted except Matt Arisa because obviously the circumstances that we know that those BS claims that were risen up against him, he should be our碼 right now, but he's not.
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Why?
- 1:11:20[SPEAKER_00]: Because women lie men lie.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_00]: It is what it is.
- 1:11:24[SPEAKER_00]: But
