- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Even though it was a short week, it felt like
- 0:05Speaker 2: a long week, but we finally.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Made it to Friday. Happy Friday, just after 6 o'clock.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Now, Ricky Sanchez today, but Kevin Mano has those three
- 0:11Speaker 2: things that you need to know.
- 0:13Speaker 4: Thank you, Zach, and happy Friday to you, buddy. In
- 0:15Speaker 4: case you missed this, SNL just announced the first few
- 0:18Speaker 4: shows of season 52. It's going to return on the
- 0:20Speaker 4: 26th of this month with Jalen Brunson of the New
- 0:24Speaker 4: York Knicks hosting that first show while Cat's Eye performs
- 0:26Speaker 4: the music that's big. The other hosts announced are Dakota Johnson,
- 0:30Speaker 4: Shane Gillis, and Indie Navarette from Obsession.
- 0:33Speaker 3: The band Turnstile, I love them. They're one of the performers.
- 0:36Speaker 3: Rosalia and Gracie Abrams as well.
- 0:38Speaker 4: All lined up as musical performers for this new upcoming
- 0:42Speaker 4: season of SNL. And the next time you order a
- 0:45Speaker 4: car through the Lyft app, you might get one of
- 0:49Speaker 4: those driverless Waymo things instead.
- 0:51Speaker 3: Nashville is now.
- 0:51Speaker 4: Officially the first market with this new system in place.
- 0:55Speaker 4: Waymo vehicles are now available through the Waymo app as
- 0:58Speaker 4: well as the Lyft app. The service area for this
- 1:01Speaker 4: includes downtown and Broadway, North Nashville and Germantown, East Nashville, Midtown,
- 1:06Speaker 4: and South Nashville.
- 1:08Speaker 3: But if you're not into it, if you don't want
- 1:10Speaker 3: one of.
- 1:10Speaker 4: Those Waymo things, you still have the option to decline
- 1:12Speaker 4: it and book the ride with a human being.
- 1:15Speaker 3: I think I would personally rather have a human being.
- 1:17Speaker 3: I've never been in a Waymo. I just want to
- 1:19Speaker 3: try the Waymo once. Okay, you haven't done it either. No,
- 1:22Speaker 3: I just want to do it one time. Lastly here,
- 1:25Speaker 3: Taylor Swift, our girl.
- 1:26Speaker 4: She has received so many awards and honors over the
- 1:29Speaker 4: course of her career. And now she has some insects
- 1:32Speaker 4: named after her. She finally made it. This is a
- 1:35Speaker 4: newly discovered species of like these plant eating insects in Australia.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And for whatever reason, these researchers thought of Taylor Swift
- 1:42Speaker 3: when they discovered these.
- 1:44Speaker 4: One genus has been named Swiftie Phyllis. And four others
- 1:48Speaker 4: have been named using the Latin translation of her album titles. Actually,
- 1:52Speaker 4: one of the researchers did say that they did this.
- 1:54Speaker 4: They were hoping to bring attention to the diversity of
- 1:57Speaker 4: insects still yet to be discovered. So they thought maybe
- 1:59Speaker 4: using Taylor Swift would get some attention. And here we
- 2:02Speaker 4: are talking about it.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Did you also see that Taylor is going to be
- 2:04Speaker 2: back at the CMA Awards for the first time in
- 2:06Speaker 2: 10 years?
- 2:07Speaker 3: I did see that, buddy. I'm so excited.
- 2:10Speaker 5: I know.
- 2:10Speaker 3: She's got a dip and a toe back in the country.
- 2:12Speaker 4: And good timing you brought that up, Zach, because this
- 2:14Speaker 4: is the song that got her there.
- 2:16Speaker 5: I knew it.
- 2:16Speaker 3: I knew you from Taylor. There you go.
- 2:18Speaker 4: We have Shabuzy tickets on the way for the first
- 2:20Speaker 4: caller of the day. About 10 minutes.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach and Mano in the morning.
- 2:23Speaker 4: Felicia is on the line right now. Felicia in Nashville.
- 2:26Speaker 4: Welcome to 107.5 The River. What are you doing, Felicia?
- 2:30Speaker 2: I just dropped my husband off at work and I'm
- 2:32Speaker 2: headed back to the.
- 2:33Speaker 6: House to get ready for work.
- 2:35Speaker 3: What do you both of you do?
- 2:37Speaker 6: He is a glazer, which he puts windows in stores and.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Like the tall buildings.
- 2:43Speaker 6: And I'm a bartender and server at Logan's.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Okay, girl. I like your job way better because I
- 2:47Speaker 3: love Logan's.
- 2:49Speaker 6: I'm telling you, it's fun.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Do you get nervous about him being up there on
- 2:54Speaker 4: those high buildings doing the window stuff?
- 2:56Speaker 6: A little bit, but he knows what he's doing, so.
- 2:59Speaker 3: I trust him. That's why they're the pros, not us.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Keep my feet on the ground.
- 3:04Speaker 6: Yeah, he's been doing it for four or five years now,
- 3:08Speaker 6: so he enjoys it.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Good for him. That's cool. Felicia, I have a question
- 3:11Speaker 3: for you.
- 3:12Speaker 5: What you got?
- 3:13Speaker 2: Would you rather walk into your attic and see 100
- 3:16Speaker 2: cockroaches or one person?
- 3:18Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 3:20Speaker 6: Probably one person.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Wait, a person that you don't know, like a stranger
- 3:25Speaker 3: living in your attic?
- 3:27Speaker 1: Um.
- 3:28Speaker 3: I don't know. That's kind of, like, hard.
- 3:29Speaker 6: I don't want to see roaches, so.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Whoa.
- 3:33Speaker 6: I mean, a person would probably be better.
- 3:35Speaker 2: It'd probably scare me, but... That's where my mind was, too.
- 3:38Speaker 2: It's like, cool, I can run. I can call the police.
- 3:40Speaker 2: They can take care of it. The cockroaches, I don't
- 3:42Speaker 2: know what they've done to the house. Like, if they've
- 3:44Speaker 2: laid more larvae, now there's going to be thousands of them?
- 3:46Speaker 1: Gross.
- 3:47Speaker 4: I feel like you'd just call an exterminator. They could
- 3:49Speaker 4: tent the house and take care of that. But having
- 3:50Speaker 4: a strange person in your attic is... That's even more
- 3:54Speaker 4: dangerous than her husband doing the windows. Well, Felicia, thank
- 3:57Speaker 4: you for answering the silly question. Thank you for starting
- 3:59Speaker 4: your day with us. You are the first caller of
- 4:01Speaker 4: the day, so we're going to give you tickets to
- 4:02Speaker 4: see Shaboosie.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Oh, awesome.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Shaboosie is going to be at First Bank Amphitheater
- 4:07Speaker 2: next Friday, September 18th. You and your dangerous husband get
- 4:11Speaker 2: to go see the show.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 4:13Speaker 6: Thank you all so much.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Y'all have a good morning. Thank you. You hang out
- 4:15Speaker 3: so we can get all your information, okay?
- 4:17Speaker 6: Okay, thank you.
- 4:19Speaker 2: What if it was a dead person, Zach? What if
- 4:20Speaker 2: it was a ghost or all the roaches? I think
- 4:24Speaker 2: I would just burn the entire house down either way
- 4:26Speaker 2: at that point.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Okay.
- 4:27Speaker 3: That's fair.
- 4:29Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 4:30Speaker 3: Taylor, it's the river. It's Friday.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Happy Friday, friends. We made it every week around this time,
- 4:36Speaker 4: every Friday around this time. We run down a few
- 4:38Speaker 4: things happening in and around the city. There's always so
- 4:41Speaker 4: much going on. We make it easy for you. We
- 4:44Speaker 4: boil it all down and present it on Friday. Zach,
- 4:45Speaker 4: what is happening, buddy?
- 4:47Speaker 2: Okay, so let's start with the fact that it is
- 4:49Speaker 2: still fair season. If you miss any of the other fairs,
- 4:52Speaker 2: like the Williamson County Fair, the Tennessee State Fair, now
- 4:55Speaker 2: we have the Nashville Fair kicks off today at the
- 4:58Speaker 2: Nashville Fairgrounds. It goes from today all the way until Sunday,
- 5:02Speaker 2: September 20th, and admission is only.
- 5:05Speaker 3: Like $ 8.
- 5:06Speaker 5: Nice.
- 5:07Speaker 2: So if it does end up not raining this weekend,
- 5:10Speaker 2: go take the kiddos, go hang out at the Nashville Fair.
- 5:12Speaker 3: It's at the fairgrounds.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Also, tomorrow, one of my favorite events that happens throughout
- 5:17Speaker 2: the year is called Wine on the River Nashville.
- 5:20Speaker 3: And, of course, I love to sing it. Wine on
- 5:23Speaker 3: the river. What the heck just happened? I do it
- 5:27Speaker 3: every time.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But Wine on the River is happening tomorrow at Riverfront
- 5:31Speaker 2: Park from 3 to 7 p.m. So basically, you go
- 5:35Speaker 2: and you can taste wine from all over the globe.
- 5:38Speaker 2: So they have different wine, beer, and spirits that are
- 5:40Speaker 2: all included in your admission whenever you go. So it's
- 5:43Speaker 2: from 3 to 7 at Riverfront Park tomorrow. Also, this
- 5:47Speaker 2: is very family friendly. The Green Hills Park Festival.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Oh, I love it.
- 5:51Speaker 4: It sounds so fun. We go every year and it's
- 5:53Speaker 4: the best. Show a movie out there.
- 5:54Speaker 3: It's the best.
- 5:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 5:55Speaker 2: The movie this year, they're playing Toy Story. So that's
- 5:59Speaker 2: going to be super cute. They also have live music.
- 6:01Speaker 2: They have local makers. So they're going to have like
- 6:03Speaker 2: different vendors for ceramics, woodwork, jewelry, textiles. Also for the kiddos,
- 6:09Speaker 2: they have like face painting, free snow cones, kid crafts.
- 6:12Speaker 2: So if you have kiddos, definitely take them to the
- 6:15Speaker 2: Green Hills Park. It is Sunday from 3 to 9 p.m.
- 6:18Speaker 2: at Green Hills Park. And it's their festival. Admission is
- 6:21Speaker 2: free and all ages are welcome.
- 6:22Speaker 3: It really is fun. They do a great job every year.
- 6:24Speaker 3: I love it.
- 6:25Speaker 2: And then lastly, football season is officially back, ladies and gents.
- 6:30Speaker 2: On Sunday, the New York Jets versus the Titans happening
- 6:33Speaker 2: at Nissan Stadium.
- 6:34Speaker 3: The game kicks off at noon on Sunday.
- 6:37Speaker 2: So if you're a sportsy gal, go watch the game
- 6:39Speaker 2: or go somewhere and watch the game on TV.
- 6:42Speaker 3: I love that it's back.
- 6:43Speaker 4: Thank you, Zach. Get out there. Enjoy the city this weekend. Again,
- 6:46Speaker 4: hopefully the rain holds off.
- 6:47Speaker 3: I hope so. And we can all get out and
- 6:50Speaker 3: do some stuff, make the most of it. I appreciate that, buddy.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Just after seven o'clock on this Friday morning. No Ricky
- 6:58Speaker 2: Sanchez today, but our friend Kevin Manno has three things
- 7:00Speaker 2: that you need to know.
- 7:01Speaker 1: I do.
- 7:02Speaker 3: Thank you, Zach.
- 7:03Speaker 4: First off, today is, of course, the 25th anniversary of
- 7:06Speaker 4: the September 11th attacks on the World Trade Center in
- 7:09Speaker 4: New York City.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Zach, did you see that the drone show last night?
- 7:13Speaker 2: It actually was really, really cool to see. I hate
- 7:16Speaker 2: the reason they had to do it, but it was
- 7:18Speaker 2: so impressive.
- 7:19Speaker 4: It was a beautiful moment. They had these drones out
- 7:22Speaker 4: there in the shape of the Twin Towers, and it
- 7:23Speaker 4: looked incredible. Not only is there a massive commemorative ceremony
- 7:28Speaker 4: in New York this morning, but there are quite a
- 7:29Speaker 4: few events taking place throughout Middle Tennessee as well. I
- 7:32Speaker 4: know BNA will hold the ceremony at 7.30. Mayor Freddie
- 7:35Speaker 4: O'Connell and the Nashville Fire Department will hold a procession down.
- 7:38Speaker 3: On Broadway starting at 8 a.m.
- 7:40Speaker 4: They're doing something similar in Clarksville, Robertson County, Murfreesboro, Gallatin, Franklin.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Wherever you are, you are not too far away from
- 7:47Speaker 4: one of these gatherings. We should all pause and pay
- 7:50Speaker 4: tribute to those lost 25 years ago. Also tonight, ABC
- 7:54Speaker 4: News will air a special called 9-11 Tribute in Light
- 7:56Speaker 4: live from Lower Manhattan, while CBS has one called 9-11
- 7:59Speaker 4: We Remember. In other news, we just got nominees for
- 8:04Speaker 4: this year's CMA Awards. Ella Langley is crushing it. She
- 8:08Speaker 4: has the most nominations. Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert are
- 8:11Speaker 4: right behind her. The women are just dominating.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Taylor Swift said she's going to be at the show.
- 8:15Speaker 3: That's big.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Taylor got her start in country music, obviously, and this
- 8:18Speaker 4: will be her first time at the CMAs in 10 years.
- 8:21Speaker 3: She's coming back.
- 8:22Speaker 5: Also, I love this.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Our girl, Avrianna, who we had out at River on
- 8:25Speaker 4: the Rooftop, she's up for New Artist of the Year.
- 8:27Speaker 4: She posted a video. I love when people do this,
- 8:29Speaker 4: but she posted a video of the moment she got
- 8:31Speaker 4: the news.
- 8:31Speaker 3: Here it is. Nominated for New Artist of the Year. What?
- 8:37Speaker 3: Thank you guys so much.
- 8:38Speaker 1: This is so exciting.
- 8:38Speaker 3: It's such a cute little moment. That's so sweet.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I know Ella Langley posted a similar thing when they were, like,
- 8:43Speaker 4: rattling off all the awards she's nominated for.
- 8:45Speaker 3: She posted that, too.
- 8:46Speaker 4: The CMA Awards will happen here in Nashville on November 18th. Lastly,
- 8:51Speaker 4: Jennifer Lawrence is now on Instagram.
- 8:54Speaker 3: Within the first 24 hours of her joining, she racked
- 8:57Speaker 3: up close to a million followers. I am one of them.
- 8:59Speaker 3: She wrote, quote, so, yeah, I'm going to wait.
- 9:02Speaker 5: What?
- 9:02Speaker 3: So, yeah, I'm giving it a shot.
- 9:04Speaker 4: And if anyone says anything negative, I will quit immediately.
- 9:07Speaker 4: No questions asked. If anyone thinks something mean, I will
- 9:10Speaker 4: know and I will quit. So let's keep it positive around.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Please.
- 9:13Speaker 3: We need her. If you want to find her, she
- 9:15Speaker 3: is at J Law. Jennifer Lawrence was taken, so she
- 9:18Speaker 3: got at J-Law.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I don't know how that was available, but she got it.
- 9:22Speaker 3: Welcome to the gram, Jennifer Lawrence. There you go. Three
- 9:24Speaker 3: things you now know.
- 9:25Speaker 4: And Zach over here, the brains of the operation, has
- 9:28Speaker 4: a fourth thing you need to know. Zach's Facts on
- 9:31Speaker 4: the way. We are learning together on this Friday morning. Next,
- 9:34Speaker 4: here's Dominic Fyke on the river.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 9:38Speaker 5: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 9:41Speaker 5: On 107.5 The River.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Well, I kind of wanted to add to Kevin's three
- 9:45Speaker 2: things you need to know. And he was talking about
- 9:47Speaker 2: Ella Langley at the CMA Awards. And I thought that
- 9:49Speaker 2: this was really cool. And I feel like you need
- 9:51Speaker 2: to know it. Ella Langley is nominated for both Choose
- 9:54Speaker 2: in Texas and Be Her. She is just the eighth
- 9:57Speaker 2: artist in CMA history to have two nominations.
- 10:00Speaker 3: In the same year in that category. What's the category?
- 10:03Speaker 3: So two songs in the same category for a single
- 10:05Speaker 3: of the year. That's crazy. Good for her. It is crazy.
- 10:08Speaker 2: And she has nine nominations, which she is tied for
- 10:11Speaker 2: the most nominations in CMA history.
- 10:13Speaker 3: That's really, truly incredible for Ella Langley.
- 10:15Speaker 5: And.
- 10:16Speaker 4: She's a week away from tying Mariah Carey with the
- 10:18Speaker 4: longest-running single on the Billboard Hot 100.
- 10:21Speaker 2: She's just breaking all of these records, and there are
- 10:24Speaker 2: your multiple facts of the day.
- 10:25Speaker 3: Ella Langley is just out here slaying it. Thank you, Zach.
- 10:29Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 10:32Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 10:34Speaker 3: It's 107.5 The River. Happy Friday. We love a Friday
- 10:37Speaker 3: around here.
- 10:38Speaker 4: We want to ask you, if you're doing something cool
- 10:41Speaker 4: this weekend, who is the most excited about their weekend plans?
- 10:45Speaker 2: I honestly want to know what's the coolest thing you
- 10:48Speaker 2: have planned.
- 10:48Speaker 3: We need to know it all. 615-737-9107.
- 10:52Speaker 4: If you're doing something fun, if you're looking forward to
- 10:54Speaker 4: your weekend, we want to hear about it.
- 10:57Speaker 1: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 10:59Speaker 5: On 107.5 The River.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Who has the best weekend plans? Are you looking forward
- 11:03Speaker 4: to your weekend? We have Nurse Tracy on the phone
- 11:05Speaker 4: right now. Nurse Tracy in Springfield. What are you doing
- 11:08Speaker 4: this weekend, Tracy?
- 11:09Speaker 6: I have some really good news. I found out Saturday
- 11:13Speaker 6: that I'm going to be a grandmama.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Aww.
- 11:16Speaker 6: For the first time, I have prayed for this. And
- 11:19Speaker 6: then yesterday, I have a contract on the house.
- 11:22Speaker 5: Oh, my gosh.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Congratulations, Tracy.
- 11:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:25Speaker 6: All at once. Like, I'm overwhelmed.
- 11:27Speaker 3: When it rains, it pours.
- 11:28Speaker 4: That's a lot of good stuff coming your way. So what, specifically,
- 11:31Speaker 4: what does this weekend.
- 11:32Speaker 3: Bring for you?
- 11:32Speaker 4: Do you get to hang out with, is it your
- 11:34Speaker 4: daughter that's pregnant or your son? What's going on?
- 11:37Speaker 6: It's my son and his fiance.
- 11:38Speaker 3: Okay. And do you get to see them and celebrate
- 11:40Speaker 3: this weekend?
- 11:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:41Speaker 6: Oh, yeah, they just live right down the road from me,
- 11:43Speaker 6: so I will see them. But I will probably start
- 11:47Speaker 6: packing this weekend, going through stuff, getting rid of stuff,
- 11:50Speaker 6: probably going to have a yard sale.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Okay, Tracy, be honest with me.
- 11:54Speaker 6: I pray for both.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Do you want the baby to be a boy or girl?
- 11:58Speaker 6: I want a healthy grandbaby.
- 12:00Speaker 5: I knew you were going to say that.
- 12:01Speaker 3: Be honest. Which one do you want?
- 12:04Speaker 6: I want a girl.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I knew it.
- 12:06Speaker 4: You got it out of her, Zach. Thank you for
- 12:07Speaker 4: being honest with us, Tracy. That is so cool. There's
- 12:10Speaker 4: so much going on. I have one question for you.
- 12:12Speaker 4: You said that your son lives right down the road.
- 12:14Speaker 4: You also said you're moving. Are you going to be closer, further?
- 12:17Speaker 3: What's happening?
- 12:18Speaker 6: Oh, I'm going to be further. I'm actually going to,
- 12:20Speaker 6: I bought, I'm buying a house in Adobo, Kentucky.
- 12:23Speaker 5: Oh, wow.
- 12:24Speaker 6: And I hate moving, but it's only 10 more miles.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Got to get away from that baby. You can't be
- 12:28Speaker 4: available all the time to babysit.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Yes, I can.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Kevin, she's like, no, you understand. You might as well
- 12:36Speaker 2: just move in with your son and his fiance.
- 12:38Speaker 6: No, I don't want to. I've been trying to buy
- 12:41Speaker 6: a house for six or seven years, trying to, you know,
- 12:44Speaker 6: just work credit things and. And it's finally going to happen.
- 12:49Speaker 6: But like I said, it's Kentucky. It's cheaper to live
- 12:52Speaker 6: in Kentucky.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Sure.
- 12:53Speaker 6: And it's 10 miles.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not far at all.
- 12:56Speaker 4: Tracy, thank you so much for sharing all of this
- 12:58Speaker 4: wonderful news with us.
- 12:59Speaker 3: That is all such great stuff.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Thank you, guys.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Love you.
- 13:02Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 13:04Speaker 4: We are playing the Game of the Day here. It's 107.5
- 13:07Speaker 4: The River. The Game of the Day presented by Genesis Diamonds.

- 13:31Speaker 4: See here we go only one way to find out
- 13:33Speaker 4: you need two out of three of them to win
- 13:35Speaker 4: these vip tickets to nashville scenes margarita festival And Caitlin,
- 13:38Speaker 4: your game starts right now.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Mariska Hargitay, you know her from Law & Order.
- 13:45Speaker 4: She is hosting what annual award show next Monday night?
- 13:52Speaker 3: Oh, I just saw this. It's not Emmys. Is it Emmys?
- 13:56Speaker 3: Is it Emmys? It is Emmys. Yeah, you got that one.
- 13:59Speaker 5: Oh, good.
- 14:00Speaker 3: Eight Emmy Awards.
- 14:01Speaker 5: Yay.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Okay, you got a point on the board.
- 14:04Speaker 4: You really second-guessed yourself there, but you got it right.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Get this, you win.
- 14:09Speaker 4: What singer recently founded a new music festival called Daisy
- 14:13Speaker 4: Chain Fields?
- 14:14Speaker 3: Who was that?
- 14:15Speaker 4: This just happened. This is the inaugural Daisy Chain Fields
- 14:21Speaker 4: just happened.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Ella Langley?
- 14:25Speaker 3: No, it's not Ella Langley.
- 14:26Speaker 4: That was Olivia Rodrigo. She had a bunch of ladies
- 14:28Speaker 4: out there. They raised a bunch of money for charity.
- 14:30Speaker 5: It was cool.
- 14:32Speaker 3: That's all right. You're still alive. You're still alive. You
- 14:33Speaker 3: got one last question here. I'm a little nervous for you.
- 14:36Speaker 4: In theaters this weekend, Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman are
- 14:40Speaker 4: reunited in what new movie sequel?
- 14:44Speaker 3: I do know this one. Practical Magic 2. Yes, ma'am.
- 14:49Speaker 3: Came down to the wire there. That one, yes. You
- 14:50Speaker 3: were confident with that one.
- 14:52Speaker 5: You were right. You win.
- 14:53Speaker 3: Congratulations.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Yay.
- 14:54Speaker 6: Thank you.
- 14:55Speaker 4: VIP tickets to Nashville Scene's Margarita Festival.
- 14:58Speaker 3: It's happening on the 19th. That's next weekend at One City.
- 15:01Speaker 3: Way to go.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Awesome. Thank you. Three things you need to know.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Just after 8 o'clock on this beautiful Friday morning. No
- 15:09Speaker 2: Ricky Sanchez today, but our friend Kevin Mano has three
- 15:12Speaker 2: things that you need to know.
- 15:13Speaker 3: Presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 15:14Speaker 5: I do.
- 15:15Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Zach.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Today is a very important day around here. The Nashville
- 15:19Speaker 4: International Airport board members are voting today on that proposed
- 15:24Speaker 4: name change in honor of Miss Dolly Parton. It is
- 15:27Speaker 4: expected that all seven board members will vote in favor
- 15:30Speaker 4: of it.
- 15:30Speaker 3: It's going to be unanimous.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Which will then mean that you're flying in and out
- 15:33Speaker 4: of Dolly Parton International Airport.
- 15:35Speaker 3: I like the sound of that. I love that so much.
- 15:38Speaker 3: They actually do.
- 15:38Speaker 4: They then have to go through all the paperwork with
- 15:41Speaker 4: the FAA to make it all legal. It's expected to
- 15:43Speaker 4: cost up to $ 10 million with those funds coming from Metro,
- 15:47Speaker 4: the state, and airport resources. And they say the full process,
- 15:50Speaker 4: including changing all the signage and everything, could take about
- 15:53Speaker 4: six months to a year. But today is the day
- 15:55Speaker 4: the process officially begins.
- 15:57Speaker 3: So I like that. The Spice Girls just made an announcement.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Fans are kind of bummed about it, though, because it
- 16:05Speaker 4: wasn't the announcement anybody was hoping for.
- 16:07Speaker 3: They'd been teasing something coming.
- 16:09Speaker 4: So people thought maybe a tour or a residency at
- 16:11Speaker 4: the Sphere or an album or a sequel to Spice World.
- 16:15Speaker 5: But no.
- 16:16Speaker 3: None of those things. It's essentially a greatest hits album.
- 16:18Speaker 4: It's a box set of a bunch of their music
- 16:20Speaker 4: with some B-sides and surprises from the vault.
- 16:23Speaker 3: It's the singles edition. That's what it's called. It's out
- 16:25Speaker 3: November 6th, and it's in honor of the Spice Girls
- 16:28Speaker 3: hit song, Wannabe, coming out 30 years ago, 30th anniversary.
- 16:31Speaker 2: That is the most lackluster way to celebrate I could
- 16:34Speaker 2: ever think of.
- 16:35Speaker 4: The vibe online amongst fans is a little negative. People
- 16:38Speaker 4: were really hoping for something bigger.
- 16:40Speaker 3: I'm disappointed. Just a box set.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Okay.
- 16:43Speaker 4: Lastly here, even though it is still going to be,
- 16:46Speaker 4: you know, in the 90s again all week next week,
- 16:48Speaker 4: it is time to start thinking about Halloween. And Brock's,
- 16:52Speaker 4: the candy company, has something new this year. For those
- 16:54Speaker 4: of you that love candy corn, Zach, I don't remember.
- 16:56Speaker 4: You a yay or nay on candy corn?
- 16:58Speaker 2: I'm meh.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Oh, okay. I feel like people either— Like, I'll eat it,
- 17:01Speaker 3: but I won't buy it. Okay.
- 17:03Speaker 4: Anyway, if you want to smell like it, you can.
- 17:04Speaker 4: They just released a candy corn perfume. It's called Ode
- 17:08Speaker 4: to Candy Corn.
- 17:10Speaker 3: It's only $ 22. That's not crazy.
- 17:12Speaker 4: If you want to smell like candy corn in my mind,
- 17:14Speaker 4: the candy corn smell is just like kind of waxy.
- 17:17Speaker 3: So I don't know exactly what this is going to be.
- 17:19Speaker 4: I don't know if they're going to, you know, spice
- 17:21Speaker 4: it up a little bit beyond just the candy, but, uh,
- 17:24Speaker 4: I just feel like I could buy a bag.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Of candy corn for way cheaper than $ 22 and just
- 17:29Speaker 2: like rub it all over my body and save money.
- 17:31Speaker 3: You should do that, Zach. We're going to film that.
- 17:33Speaker 3: We're going to put it online.
- 17:34Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 17:38Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 17:39Speaker 4: Taylor, it's 107.5 The River. It's time for the leftovers.
- 17:42Speaker 4: It's what we do on Fridays over here. We go
- 17:44Speaker 4: around the room. We each get 30 seconds to share
- 17:47Speaker 4: something we just didn't have time for this week. Ricky
- 17:49Speaker 4: is out right now, so it's just Kevin and Zach. Zach,
- 17:51Speaker 4: the floor is yours. 30 seconds on the clock. The
- 17:54Speaker 4: leftover starts right now.
- 17:56Speaker 2: All right, so let's go ahead and start with how
- 17:58Speaker 2: to have a 90s fall because I feel like life
- 18:00Speaker 2: in 2026 is just getting way more complicated than it.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Needs to be.
- 18:04Speaker 2: So we're going to escape back to the 90s nostalgia.
- 18:07Speaker 2: So they're saying go back and carve spooky pumpkins. Instead
- 18:10Speaker 2: of buying like the fake ones that you see all
- 18:12Speaker 2: over Pinterest, they go back to the original orange ones.
- 18:15Speaker 2: carve your pumpkin put a little candle in it put
- 18:17Speaker 2: it on your front porch like go back to the
- 18:19Speaker 2: good times we carve pumpkins every year and i love
- 18:22Speaker 2: it it's one of my favorite things it's so fun
- 18:24Speaker 2: also we did not waste the seeds when we were
- 18:27Speaker 2: kids in the 90s we would scoop the seeds out
- 18:29Speaker 2: rinse them and then toast them in the oven so
- 18:31Speaker 2: go back to roasting your seeds also i love this
- 18:35Speaker 2: because gap has their um 90s fragrances back so they
- 18:39Speaker 2: have relaunched heaven grass in the dream fragrances So if
- 18:44Speaker 2: you want to literally embrace the 90s, go to Gap
- 18:47Speaker 2: and buy their old cologne.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I like that. I do too.
- 18:50Speaker 2: And then the last one, it says, put down your
- 18:52Speaker 2: phone and pick up your favorite magazine.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Oh.
- 18:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So actually sit there and read like People, Rolling Stone,
- 18:59Speaker 2: Better Homes and Garden.
- 19:00Speaker 3: And then I say last one. This is actually the
- 19:03Speaker 3: last one. Go to the mall instead of shopping online.
- 19:06Speaker 2: So, like, go see what the new things are in
- 19:08Speaker 2: the department stores and smell.
- 19:10Speaker 3: Like the leather purses. I miss the smell of leather.
- 19:12Speaker 3: I love the smell of leather. Wait, is that one
- 19:14Speaker 3: you threw on there? Or is that actually on the list?
- 19:16Speaker 3: Go smell the leather purses. Well, I threw that one
- 19:17Speaker 3: on there because I love the smell of leather.
- 19:20Speaker 4: Honestly, there is something about Halloween, about the actual act
- 19:23Speaker 4: of trick-or-treating that is very 90s to me.
- 19:25Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 19:25Speaker 4: It's everybody just out and about, you know, walking around.
- 19:28Speaker 4: No technology. Nobody's looking at their phones. They're just looking around.
- 19:31Speaker 4: They're chatting with their neighbors. The kids are in the streets.
- 19:33Speaker 3: They're playing games. No screen time.
- 19:35Speaker 4: I love Halloween and fall for that reason. So I
- 19:37Speaker 4: appreciate this list. Back to the good old days. Kevin,
- 19:40Speaker 4: what do you got? Oh, I heard this new dating term.
- 19:42Speaker 4: And again, I think a lot of like these new
- 19:44Speaker 4: dating terms are kind of silly. But this one I liked.
- 19:46Speaker 3: I wanted to talk about it this week. Maybe next week.
- 19:50Speaker 5: We will.
- 19:50Speaker 3: I want to see how many people do this, but
- 19:52Speaker 3: it's foodie call.
- 19:54Speaker 5: What?
- 19:54Speaker 3: It rhymes with booty call, obviously.
- 19:56Speaker 5: Yes, it does.
- 19:57Speaker 4: According to a survey, 30% of daters admit that they've
- 20:00Speaker 4: accepted a date just for.
- 20:01Speaker 3: The free meal. Oh, I did that.
- 20:03Speaker 2: How do you think I made it through college? And
- 20:04Speaker 2: then I would order the biggest thing on the menu
- 20:06Speaker 2: so I had leftovers.
- 20:07Speaker 5: Really?
- 20:08Speaker 3: You were doing the foodie call back then? I was
- 20:11Speaker 3: way ahead of my time, Kev. Is that how you
- 20:13Speaker 3: met David?
- 20:14Speaker 5: No.
- 20:16Speaker 4: But so you would go on these dates with absolutely
- 20:18Speaker 4: no intention of like continuing your relationship with this person.
- 20:21Speaker 3: You were just there for the food.
- 20:23Speaker 1: 100%.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Girl, I was in college. I would rather do that
- 20:27Speaker 2: than eat ramen noodles for every single meal.
- 20:29Speaker 4: Okay, so I haven't been on the market in a
- 20:30Speaker 4: long time. How did you know up front that the
- 20:33Speaker 4: other person would be the one paying? Well, because I
- 20:36Speaker 4: would make them ask out. You would start like chatting
- 20:39Speaker 4: on whatever dating site you were doing. And whenever they
- 20:42Speaker 4: asked you to go on a date, whoever initiates asking
- 20:45Speaker 4: for the date, I assume is paying.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I have a million more questions about this. We just
- 20:48Speaker 3: don't have time. We've exceeded the 30 seconds. I also
- 20:50Speaker 3: saw here that 26% of people over 65 admit they've
- 20:54Speaker 3: done this. So it's not just young people. It's not
- 20:55Speaker 3: college kids.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I'm picturing my grandparents at the nearest, like, Olive Garden
- 20:59Speaker 2: just on a date for the food.
- 21:01Speaker 3: And that is so funny to me. And maybe the companionship, too.
- 21:04Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 21:04Speaker 4: Foodie call is that new term.
- 21:06Speaker 3: And that concludes the leftovers.
- 21:07Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 21:10Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Time for the Daily Double Tap.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Every day about this time, we play some audio from
- 21:16Speaker 4: a video that one of us finds. Zach found this one.
- 21:18Speaker 4: And from the explanation, I haven't heard it yet, but
- 21:21Speaker 4: it's kind of giving me weird Al vibes. She's doing
- 21:23Speaker 4: a parody song about food.
- 21:25Speaker 2: Yeah, she's doing it to Mariah Carey's We Belong Together,
- 21:28Speaker 2: and it's just about her being hungry after every single meal.
- 21:31Speaker 3: After lunch, after dinner, I'm still hungry. Okay, here it is.
- 21:34Speaker 3: It's so good. Daily Double Tip.
- 21:35Speaker 7: I'll be honest, I'm having a hard time telling what
- 21:43Speaker 7: she's saying, but let's keep going.
- 21:59Speaker 4: I got maybe 5% of that, I think.
- 22:04Speaker 3: She literally said, after lunch, I'm still hungry. After dinner,
- 22:08Speaker 3: I'm still hungry. Thank God.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I need to be on a GLP-1 because my back
- 22:13Speaker 2: is sticking together.
- 22:14Speaker 3: I didn't understand any of that. I didn't get none
- 22:16Speaker 3: of that.
- 22:16Speaker 1: What?
- 22:17Speaker 3: Is that really what that was about? Yes, that's what
- 22:19Speaker 3: it said.
- 22:20Speaker 4: I mean, she has a great voice, and I applaud
- 22:22Speaker 4: her creativity. Maybe when you watched the video, you were
- 22:24Speaker 4: like reading the lyrics on the screen. Maybe the lyrics,
- 22:26Speaker 4: you know, it was captioned or something. Kevin, I think
- 22:28Speaker 4: you need to have your hearing checked. I'm going to
- 22:30Speaker 4: just play one more, like 10 seconds of it to
- 22:32Speaker 4: see if I can get it now that you told me.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Okay, she's starting with lunch. Oh, breakfast.
- 22:37Speaker 7: See, after dinner, still hungry.
- 22:42Speaker 1: GLP.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, now that you said it, now that you, okay,
- 22:49Speaker 4: now that you broke down the lyrics, I get it.
- 22:51Speaker 3: I like it. Thanks, Zach. Maybe it's my hearing. I
- 22:53Speaker 3: don't know. It was today's Daily Double Tap. Thank you
- 22:57Speaker 3: for that. And you should go eat something, man.
- 22:58Speaker 4: You've been talking about how hungry you are since we
- 23:01Speaker 4: walked in the door this morning.
- 23:03Speaker 5: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
