- 0:10Speaker 2: you said you were feeling sick. You look lovely.
- 0:13Speaker 3: I've been sick the past two days and I'm so
- 0:16Speaker 3: sorry I was running late you guys to start this.
- 0:18Speaker 3: I love it when when I get a text and
- 0:20Speaker 3: I'm like, wait, why are they Why are they texting
- 0:23Speaker 3: about Almost Famous? Oh, it's because you're supposed to be
- 0:26Speaker 3: actually recording right now.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I was like, I came running in my house. I
- 0:32Speaker 2: come around the corner, I go straight upstairs. Canyon and
- 0:34Speaker 2: Blaker downstairs are like high.
- 0:35Speaker 4: I'm like, Hi, gotta go, gotta go run upstairs, get
- 0:38Speaker 4: myself all situated. I think I'm gonna be the late one.
- 0:40Speaker 4: And then all of a sudden, I'm like, oh, she's
- 0:42Speaker 4: not here. Thank god, you actually gave me. You gave
- 0:45Speaker 4: me a breath of relaxation in a hasty and very
- 0:50Speaker 4: busy day.
- 0:51Speaker 2: So thank you.
- 0:52Speaker 1: You're so welcome. You're so welcome, Bob.
- 0:55Speaker 2: I can actually hear a little scratchiness in your voice.
- 0:57Speaker 2: I like it.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I always always wanted to be to me
- 1:02Speaker 3: more with like the sexy scratchy voice you know when
- 1:06Speaker 3: I was whenever I'm sick, I'm like, yes, lose your voice, your.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Voice, this is what we want, we want this. Well,
- 1:12Speaker 2: I'm glad.
- 1:13Speaker 4: I'm glad to be back with all of our almost
- 1:15Speaker 4: famous the Og friends. And it is great to see
- 1:18Speaker 4: your beautiful face. And I'm loving it that today is
- 1:22Speaker 4: going to be such a fun day because we got
- 1:25Speaker 4: one of my best buddies on and I love this guy,
- 1:29Speaker 4: and we have quite a history ourselves, you know, and
- 1:33Speaker 4: so I'll be happy to talk about that. Of course,
- 1:35Speaker 4: we have on the show today our dear friend Graham Bunn,
- 1:39Speaker 4: who much beloved member of the Og family from back
- 1:45Speaker 4: in the day. He was on Deanna Poppus's season, and
- 1:48Speaker 4: I believe, I mean he was. He was right down
- 1:50Speaker 4: there to the end, I'm pretty sure on that season.
- 1:54Speaker 4: And you know, he's got quite an interesting story himself.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Our our story of how he and I met is
- 2:00Speaker 4: really really funny. And we kept each other in the divorces.
- 2:04Speaker 2: How's that going, I'll tease it that way.
- 2:07Speaker 4: So Graham and I we became buddies and kept each
- 2:12Speaker 4: other in the in the splits. But yeah, he was
- 2:14Speaker 4: from Deanna season. He was on Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I mean, this guy has been around, He's been around
- 2:19Speaker 4: the block in the Bachelor of Family.
- 2:22Speaker 2: So were you a fan of Grahams.
- 2:25Speaker 3: I was a huge fan and still am. I just
- 2:28Speaker 3: I love him, Adoram. He's always been so supportive and
- 2:32Speaker 3: so kind. He just is so kind, and yeah, I
- 2:37Speaker 3: was a huge fan when he was on the show.
- 2:40Speaker 3: Just found out something that we're going to get into today.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I won't spoil it, but I had no idea of
- 2:46Speaker 3: this piece of information. So I'm very excited to talk
- 2:49Speaker 3: to him about the show. I actually was a judge
- 2:53Speaker 3: on Bachelor Pad when he was on, so that was fun.
- 2:59Speaker 3: So I've seen him a couple times. And you know,
- 3:01Speaker 3: we used to do those, like those reunions with Jesse Sinsak.
- 3:05Speaker 1: Do you know that. I feel like he probably came
- 3:07Speaker 1: on one of those.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:09Speaker 4: I didn't make any of those, but I wanted to go,
- 3:11Speaker 4: but I was just at this different place and didn't
- 3:15Speaker 4: make those.
- 3:15Speaker 2: But yeah, those were fun.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I mean I used to love all the readings, So
- 3:18Speaker 4: I did some of the earlier ones before Jesse was
- 3:21Speaker 4: doing them, and I always enjoyed those. And then and
- 3:25Speaker 4: then as they kind of came along after. I think, yeah,
- 3:29Speaker 4: was there a cruise? Was when was a cruise?
- 3:31Speaker 2: Wasn't it or something?
- 3:31Speaker 3: I didn't go on the cruise, but yeah, I think
- 3:33Speaker 3: there was a cruise. We did have something up in Colorado.
- 3:36Speaker 3: I feel like it was in Breckenridge or something. I
- 3:38Speaker 3: don't know, but I feel like he was probably at
- 3:43Speaker 3: at one of those. Anyway, We've stayed in touch too,
- 3:45Speaker 3: but I know you guys have a long history, and
- 3:49Speaker 3: I'm just excited to chat with you today and to
- 3:53Speaker 3: bring Graham on the show.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So let's welcome in Graham.
- 3:55Speaker 4: Bun, there's my guyon everybody, My man.
- 4:03Speaker 2: What's up, buddy? What's going on?
- 4:06Speaker 4: How does this guy get better looking with age every
- 4:08Speaker 4: time I see him? Finest of the fine ripples, the
- 4:11Speaker 4: fine ripples, Now, I will tell you, Trista. We had
- 4:17Speaker 4: to meet some pretty shrewd demands to get Graham on
- 4:21Speaker 4: this show. His people called our people, and my goodness,
- 4:27Speaker 4: I had to acquiesce to something that I wasn't happy about,
- 4:32Speaker 4: but it was the only way to get my guy
- 4:34Speaker 4: on the show. Graham and I have a very very
- 4:39Speaker 4: complex relationship. We love each other like brothers, best of friends.
- 4:44Speaker 4: I'd take a bullet for this guy. But what I
- 4:45Speaker 4: will not do is allow this man to cheat at
- 4:50Speaker 4: the game of Madden NFL Football. And I am I'm
- 4:55Speaker 4: a staunch defender of my reasoning here. My rationale is
- 5:01Speaker 4: a talented player. Okay, he's a talented, talented man when
- 5:04Speaker 4: it comes to the video game sports. But I was
- 5:10Speaker 4: one of the few people that I know of that
- 5:12Speaker 4: could beat Graham Bun occasionally, not often, until I found
- 5:16Speaker 4: out his trick. He was using a playbook that was
- 5:20Speaker 4: the same playbook no matter where he was, no matter
- 5:23Speaker 4: when he was playing. He'd pull up this playbook and
- 5:25Speaker 4: the dude knew every play and there were a couple
- 5:27Speaker 4: unstoppable plays in there, and he would just whoop it
- 5:29Speaker 4: every single time I let him have that playbook. So
- 5:32Speaker 4: I had to agree that the next time he and
- 5:35Speaker 4: I are together, that we're gonna sit down, we're gonna
- 5:36Speaker 4: play Madden again, and I'm gonna let him use his
- 5:39Speaker 4: go to playbook.
- 5:40Speaker 2: So there it is behind you, the lies and the
- 5:48Speaker 2: commands up by the screen. He's ready, he's already practicing
- 5:51Speaker 2: for this game.
- 5:52Speaker 4: Oh brother, Oh my goodness, and he's got the beer
- 5:56Speaker 4: for you.
- 5:57Speaker 5: With the demands I went and bought this. Today, you
- 6:01Speaker 5: owe me twenty four dollars in eighty eight cents. I
- 6:03Speaker 5: saved the receipt The deal was a case of beer,
- 6:08Speaker 5: and I can use whatever playbook I want when we play.
- 6:10Speaker 2: That was the right, that's right. I'm here, so I'm
- 6:13Speaker 2: going to collect. I am gonna Venmo.
- 6:15Speaker 4: You are the money on this, and I appreciate that
- 6:18Speaker 4: you kept on the receipts.
- 6:20Speaker 2: I should.
- 6:20Speaker 4: I wish I would have kept the receipts when that won.
- 6:22Speaker 4: I'll never forget this. One game we were playing and
- 6:25Speaker 4: it was a it was a dog fight. It was
- 6:26Speaker 4: a dog fight, and man, at the very last play,
- 6:30Speaker 4: I just somehow, I think I think I had an
- 6:33Speaker 4: interception and I scampered into the end zone.
- 6:35Speaker 2: Bob has giving me a lot of credit.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Bob, Bob beat me a bunch of times, but he
- 6:38Speaker 5: would never let me use He would never let me
- 6:40Speaker 5: use my playbook.
- 6:41Speaker 2: And that that really I hated that.
- 6:43Speaker 4: It's so good to see my brother grahamn my brother
- 6:46Speaker 4: from another mother.
- 6:47Speaker 2: Man, the list must be getting short, you guys pulling
- 6:49Speaker 2: me in on this thing.
- 6:50Speaker 3: Come on now, no, sir, the ogs only.
- 6:57Speaker 5: This is the second time I've done the Ogs, but
- 6:59Speaker 5: I got I got the Cousins from uh Dukes of Hazzard.
- 7:03Speaker 5: You know when the Dukes of Hazards went to the
- 7:05Speaker 5: Cousins and it didn't work. You know, I got the Cousins.
- 7:09Speaker 5: The last time I did this show, I'm like, yeah,
- 7:11Speaker 5: what's going on man?
- 7:13Speaker 2: The Cousins episode. That's right, I got the Cousins episode.
- 7:16Speaker 4: He did the actual, the actual, the starting grounds, he
- 7:20Speaker 4: did the actual almost famous Yea, the almost famous Ogs comes.
- 7:24Speaker 2: Along and we just we started.
- 7:25Speaker 4: We start shining up some pennies, setting up all the
- 7:29Speaker 4: diamonds and the rough and we bring them out. What
- 7:32Speaker 4: a lot of people might not know about my buddy
- 7:34Speaker 4: Graham is that when I was still living in la
- 7:38Speaker 4: and Graham and I actually met because of our respective exes.
- 7:44Speaker 5: We did Bob's if this is if this is a
- 7:46Speaker 5: podcast about heartbreak, Bob has lived through the two like
- 7:51Speaker 5: just heart wrench gut wrenching. I don't know if I'm
- 7:54Speaker 5: going to recover heartbreaks that in my lifetime. So I'm
- 7:57Speaker 5: hoping third times a charm. If that happens for me,
- 7:59Speaker 5: it will. It was for me, buddy.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Sometimes, you know, we got to take our gotta take
- 8:03Speaker 4: a lick and to keep on tickings sometimes, you know.
- 8:06Speaker 4: But but Graham and I were on a I actually
- 8:10Speaker 4: was kind of helped organize this cruise for the daytime
- 8:13Speaker 4: soap opera community, and we called it Rock the Soaps,
- 8:17Speaker 4: and and.
- 8:18Speaker 2: We were out there, rocked the boat. We rocked the Soaps. Yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 2: and we did it.
- 8:22Speaker 4: And Graham was there with his girlfriend at the time,
- 8:24Speaker 4: who was a star and all my children, and I
- 8:26Speaker 4: was there with my now ex wife who was a
- 8:28Speaker 4: star of all my children. And Graham and I thankfully
- 8:32Speaker 4: found each other on this boat. And at the end
- 8:35Speaker 4: of that trip, you know, we everyone that sailed off
- 8:39Speaker 4: in their own directions, and Graham and I we we
- 8:42Speaker 4: we flew into the same place. We're like, all right, this,
- 8:44Speaker 4: this is the best relationship I can find on that
- 8:46Speaker 4: damn boat.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Let's go, buddy.
- 8:47Speaker 4: And this was us, and Graham and I lived together.
- 8:51Speaker 4: We we spent several years together out there in LA
- 8:54Speaker 4: and I was lucky to have them and as my
- 8:57Speaker 4: as my sounding board and my and my my buddy.
- 9:00Speaker 4: I did make demands on him at that time, so
- 9:02Speaker 4: I think it was only fair that he demanded I'd
- 9:04Speaker 4: be like Graham tonight we are going to this party
- 9:07Speaker 4: and then.
- 9:07Speaker 2: We're going to eat Mexican food at this place. Yeah.
- 9:11Speaker 2: I was like, okay, yeah, He's like, all right, let's go. Sure.
- 9:14Speaker 2: It was Graham was there when I met Canyon.
- 9:16Speaker 4: In fact, we often say that if it weren't for
- 9:19Speaker 4: Graham Bun, there would be no Bob and Canyon, because
- 9:23Speaker 4: Graham was so sweet to Canyon when I was trying
- 9:26Speaker 4: to figure out if I even wanted to be in
- 9:27Speaker 4: a relationship, and he was like, you know, the only
- 9:30Speaker 4: reason he he would say, hey, why.
- 9:32Speaker 2: Don't you grab your girlfriend and we'll go do this.
- 9:35Speaker 2: And I'd be like, I'll have a girlfriend. He's like, oh,
- 9:37Speaker 2: oh that's right, that's right.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Why don't you grab the only girl that you ever
- 9:40Speaker 4: spend time with that you really enjoy hanging out with
- 9:43Speaker 4: Canyon and bring her to this thing.
- 9:44Speaker 2: And I'd be like, damn it, he's right again. Yeah,
- 9:47Speaker 2: So Graham was the brains of the operation for sure.
- 9:50Speaker 5: Yeah, it was, Yeah, it was. It was a great time.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Bob's definitely been a part of a lot of milestones
- 9:55Speaker 5: in my life. So this is the least I could
- 9:58Speaker 5: do again. I mean, hopefully I have some answers for
- 10:00Speaker 5: any kind of Cloe. I don't know what you guys
- 10:02Speaker 5: could ask me that people would be interested in.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Oh, we've got lots of lots of questions, lots of questions.
- 10:08Speaker 4: Yeah, what about I want to hear about the new
- 10:10Speaker 4: show before we get into anything, though. This is I
- 10:13Speaker 4: want to hear about this because this kind of came.
- 10:16Speaker 4: This was a surprise even to me when I when
- 10:19Speaker 4: I saw it on Instagram. I mean, You've been obviously
- 10:21Speaker 4: in the country music community for a long time, but
- 10:23Speaker 4: it was one of those moments where I was like,
- 10:25Speaker 4: wait a minute, back back to NC, hold on, back
- 10:29Speaker 4: to MC. I was so fired up, man, can you
- 10:32Speaker 4: tell us a little about it.
- 10:33Speaker 2: I'm back to living like I did with Bob.
- 10:34Speaker 5: This is where I sleep, It is my sister's couts,
- 10:37Speaker 5: this is my sister's house. Luckily, my brother in law
- 10:41Speaker 5: treats me like I'm his brother and has accepted me.
- 10:44Speaker 5: And yeah, I heart offered me a job in Charlotte,
- 10:47Speaker 5: North Carolina to be the new morning show host, and
- 10:50Speaker 5: so I have accepted that opportunity. And there's some some
- 10:54Speaker 5: interesting things going on already that it had started off
- 10:57Speaker 5: really well. So it's been I'm.
- 10:59Speaker 2: Very blessed very luck.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Bob was a part of my I was landscaping when
- 11:03Speaker 5: I got the call to do country music in LA
- 11:06Speaker 5: I was living on bob scouch and he bought me
- 11:08Speaker 5: my first pair of headphones.
- 11:10Speaker 2: So that's right.
- 11:13Speaker 5: So Bob has done a multitude of things for me
- 11:16Speaker 5: in my life, one of which I don't even know
- 11:18Speaker 5: if he knows this the first breakup that I went
- 11:21Speaker 5: through that almost killed me and ended up how I
- 11:24Speaker 5: got on The Bachelor at I went to Bob's house
- 11:27Speaker 5: the next day and he paid five hundred dollars out
- 11:30Speaker 5: of his own pocket, never asked me for a dollar
- 11:32Speaker 5: of it back, to pay for me to go to
- 11:34Speaker 5: Marquy Costello's hosting class because he thought that I would
- 11:37Speaker 5: make a good host. He paid for that out of
- 11:39Speaker 5: his pocket and never once asked me for one die.
- 11:41Speaker 5: I didn't have a dime to my name, got me
- 11:43Speaker 5: into the class, paid for it himself, and this was
- 11:47Speaker 5: before we were friends, so he knew. He knew what
- 11:50Speaker 5: I was going through. He was familiar with my ex
- 11:52Speaker 5: girlfriend because she was a co star of his. I
- 11:55Speaker 5: think they were still together at the time, and I
- 11:57Speaker 5: don't know, you know, he said, hey, look I think
- 11:59Speaker 5: you would be great at this. I've already paid for it.
- 12:02Speaker 5: It's not a question. I want you to go do it.
- 12:06Speaker 5: And it was like the day after I was going
- 12:08Speaker 5: through a breakup. So it was a great distraction. And
- 12:11Speaker 5: so Bob has has definitely had a heavy hand at
- 12:14Speaker 5: whatever small amount of success that I've had in the
- 12:17Speaker 5: hosting world. Obviously we all know Bob's a very talented host.
- 12:20Speaker 5: So I'm gratefully appreciative of that support.
- 12:24Speaker 2: I love you, brother. Well still still owed me for
- 12:27Speaker 2: the beer bro the beer Imo today for sure.
- 12:32Speaker 3: But yeah, I actually I actually took that Mrquy Costello
- 12:35Speaker 3: class too.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember you take that She's I'm sure you
- 12:40Speaker 2: guys crushed it. Me.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I was in there a shell, just like, oh man,
- 12:44Speaker 5: she's not.
- 12:47Speaker 2: She's tough.
- 12:47Speaker 1: She's she's tough for sure.
- 12:52Speaker 2: This story what oh no, I said? She do you know?
- 12:56Speaker 2: She was related?
- 12:58Speaker 4: Like the reason why she is who she is was
- 13:00Speaker 4: her great great grandfather or whatever was Costello of Abbot
- 13:04Speaker 4: and Costello.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Amazing.
- 13:06Speaker 1: I knew that at some point, but it has lost
- 13:09Speaker 1: my brain.
- 13:09Speaker 5: Like family also, Trista, before before you ever met me,
- 13:13Speaker 5: you were very very kind, and my family.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Has always loved you. You were very kind to me
- 13:18Speaker 2: on my first season.
- 13:20Speaker 5: I don't know if you remember, you said some very
- 13:22Speaker 5: nice things about me. You had never met me, and
- 13:24Speaker 5: hopefully over the years those things have proven to be true,
- 13:27Speaker 5: and I would like to think they are. But you
- 13:29Speaker 5: were fresh out of the gate. You were very complimentary
- 13:32Speaker 5: and very supportive of my time on the first show.
- 13:45Speaker 1: But I love that your family too.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I love that's actually something so sweet about this whole
- 13:50Speaker 3: like Bachelor Nation thing is just meeting people's families, like
- 13:54Speaker 3: Caitlin Bristow just posted her sister's birthdays today and I
- 13:58Speaker 3: wish your happy birthday, like I've met her a couple
- 14:00Speaker 3: of times.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Like It's just, you know, such.
- 14:02Speaker 3: A small world and just love everyone's family. So tell
- 14:05Speaker 3: him hip.
- 14:09Speaker 1: So you mentioned.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Kind of the reason that you went on the Bachelorette.
- 14:16Speaker 2: I've never heard the story.
- 14:20Speaker 3: I just heard about this story, and we want to
- 14:23Speaker 3: confirm that what I heard is the truth. Yes, of course,
- 14:29Speaker 3: not the one who shared his couch. No, I'm sure
- 14:32Speaker 3: he knows this story, but we would love the rest
- 14:34Speaker 3: of us to hear the whole story. You can mention names,
- 14:39Speaker 3: by the way, but yes, we we hear.
- 14:46Speaker 2: That is it long enough that everything is public knowledge?
- 14:50Speaker 2: Now is everything? Because for a.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Long time it is.
- 14:54Speaker 2: For a long time, I was asked to keep this
- 14:56Speaker 2: under wraps.
- 14:56Speaker 5: And again my side of this story is, you know,
- 14:59Speaker 5: most people were going to be like, there's no way
- 15:01Speaker 5: it's out that's too outland, there's no way that happened
- 15:03Speaker 5: for real.
- 15:04Speaker 2: So okay, what did you hear? And I'll confirm it.
- 15:07Speaker 5: I'll give you all the details so people don't think, oh, well,
- 15:10Speaker 5: this guy's just offering up whatever his weird version is.
- 15:12Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, right.
- 15:14Speaker 3: Okay, So the girl that you mentioned maybe having your
- 15:18Speaker 3: heart broken by Krystles, Yes, Krishelle from selling Sunset and
- 15:23Speaker 3: Dancing with the Stars and all the other things. And
- 15:26Speaker 3: the rumor is that she was going to be the Bachelorette.
- 15:31Speaker 3: So you guys had broken up and you actually actually
- 15:35Speaker 3: signed up for the Bachelorette because you heard that she
- 15:38Speaker 3: was going to be on the Okay, that's not correct. Okay,
- 15:41Speaker 3: so then tell us what is the true story between you,
- 15:45Speaker 3: Krischelle and the Bachelorette.
- 15:48Speaker 5: Okay, Well, first of all, if Chrischelle ever sees this one,
- 15:50Speaker 5: you're the best And I am so happy for she's
- 15:53Speaker 5: happily married, and yes, Bob knows this as well as
- 15:57Speaker 5: anybody you know. Incredibly hard worker and when I say
- 16:01Speaker 5: a self made human being. We don't have the greatest
- 16:05Speaker 5: relationship right now and maybe one day, maybe never, but
- 16:09Speaker 5: I'm only proud of that in that sometimes when you
- 16:11Speaker 5: love really hard, the breakup's really hard. And so I
- 16:14Speaker 5: think we I don't think she would mind me saying
- 16:18Speaker 5: that we were young love and Bob got a chance
- 16:22Speaker 5: to spend time with us, and our relationship fully existed
- 16:27Speaker 5: outside the parameters of real life. Like we didn't think
- 16:29Speaker 5: about future, we didn't think about money, we didn't think
- 16:32Speaker 5: about All we thought about was, man, I can't wait
- 16:35Speaker 5: for my day to be over so I can get.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Back to spend time with this person.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Like I was addicted to her, and I think in
- 16:41Speaker 5: some spaces of her life she would. I don't know
- 16:44Speaker 5: if she could. She's married, but in this space of
- 16:47Speaker 5: her life before she was married, I think she was
- 16:49Speaker 5: also falling in that space where I just need this human.
- 16:53Speaker 5: I need time with this human every day. And so
- 16:55Speaker 5: when the breakup happened, it was very messy, and I
- 17:01Speaker 5: still have.
- 17:02Speaker 2: Struggles with it because I've never loved someone in that way.
- 17:05Speaker 5: I've only loved one other person, and I loved that
- 17:07Speaker 5: person completely different than the way I loved Rachelle. So
- 17:11Speaker 5: we were dating, and Krishelle had gone through something very hard.
- 17:15Speaker 5: She had gone through a broken engagement and those things
- 17:19Speaker 5: I can imagine, you know, that relationship probably took its
- 17:23Speaker 5: toll on her. So she didn't want anything serious. So
- 17:25Speaker 5: when we started dating, it was like in group settings.
- 17:29Speaker 5: She was actually set up to be with one of
- 17:31Speaker 5: my friends. Ended up taking a liking to me, and
- 17:35Speaker 5: we just started spending time together. And so on December seventh,
- 17:41Speaker 5: this is not going to paint a pretty picture of me,
- 17:43Speaker 5: but I'm going to give you the.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Accurate account of what happened.
- 17:48Speaker 5: It was my birthday, and Bob knows my best friend
- 17:51Speaker 5: from home how and his nickname is Hurricane How and
- 17:55Speaker 5: when alcohol gets involved, like just anything, it was crazy
- 18:00Speaker 5: New York City. So we went out and they took me.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Out for my birthday. And I'm not a big drinker,
- 18:08Speaker 2: you know.
- 18:08Speaker 5: Bob and I would have the occasional cocktail and play
- 18:10Speaker 5: Madden at home home or something, but I played sports
- 18:13Speaker 5: and just alcohol was not really a big thing.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Of my life.
- 18:17Speaker 5: I did abuse alcohol after the breakup of Croschelle because
- 18:20Speaker 5: I didn't know how to deal with how hard I
- 18:22Speaker 5: was taking it.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That was really challenging for me.
- 18:25Speaker 5: But I got into a bar fight that night and
- 18:29Speaker 5: somebody was like aggressive with Koshelle did not know we
- 18:34Speaker 5: were together. I saw it from across the room. I
- 18:37Speaker 5: took extreme exception to it, and I'm not proud of it.
- 18:42Speaker 5: Anybody watching this, please, I don't condone violence. I mishandled it.
- 18:45Speaker 5: I was at a position where it was not the
- 18:48Speaker 5: right thing to do. But anyone that puts their hands
- 18:51Speaker 5: on someone that I'm with, I've never been afraid to
- 18:55Speaker 5: address that, and so it was bad.
- 18:59Speaker 2: They drug me out of there.
- 19:02Speaker 5: I've also been drug out of it after party for
- 19:04Speaker 5: smacking somebody at Bachelor that.
- 19:07Speaker 2: You can look that up on CMZ. So I Bob
- 19:12Speaker 2: Bob loves that one.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We're going to tell that story after it.
- 19:17Speaker 2: They touched me first. That's why I didn't get in trouble.
- 19:20Speaker 5: They touched me first, and I did tell them what
- 19:22Speaker 5: was going to happen if they put their hands on me,
- 19:25Speaker 5: and we fulfilled that agreement. So so anyway, long story short,
- 19:31Speaker 5: Chrishelle's like, hey, listen, I can't be with someone that
- 19:34Speaker 5: reacts that way. And I was like, you're You're totally correct,
- 19:37Speaker 5: like you know what, you know, it's heartbreaking, but I
- 19:41Speaker 5: totally understand. So we had a very mature conversation on
- 19:46Speaker 5: like December eleventh. It was like four days she didn't
- 19:50Speaker 5: talk to me after my birthday and then we talked. Well,
- 19:52Speaker 5: a little bit of time goes by and she kept
- 19:55Speaker 5: like checking in, Hey, just you know, want to see
- 19:57Speaker 5: how you're doing. And you know, I had it bad
- 19:59Speaker 5: for her, and so I was like, I'm doing I'm
- 20:02Speaker 5: doing good. You know, is the agreement off? Like are
- 20:07Speaker 5: we still hanging? And she told me she came to
- 20:09Speaker 5: me and said, hey, listen, I can't. I don't want
- 20:13Speaker 5: you to hear I was I misrepresented why I wanted
- 20:17Speaker 5: to break up or I wanted to stop spending time.
- 20:20Speaker 5: I said, Okay, what's going on? She said that I
- 20:22Speaker 5: have the opportunity to be the bachelorette because the Bachelor
- 20:27Speaker 5: had approached her. The franchise had approached her after hearing
- 20:30Speaker 5: you know, she was on an ABC show. He had
- 20:32Speaker 5: been through a broken engagement and they wanted to pursue
- 20:37Speaker 5: her to be the bachelorette, and she felt at the
- 20:41Speaker 5: time that it was the best opportunity for her, and
- 20:46Speaker 5: she was like, you know, I care about you, and
- 20:48Speaker 5: I don't want you to beat yourself up about what
- 20:50Speaker 5: happened on your birthday because you know that wasn't cool.
- 20:53Speaker 5: But I wouldn't you know, that wouldn't change the way
- 20:55Speaker 5: I feel about you, because you were trying to stick
- 20:57Speaker 5: up for me and I appreciated it, and I was.
- 21:01Speaker 5: I was hurt and heartbroken, but for myself, not for her.
- 21:05Speaker 5: Like we had a great talk. I wished her well
- 21:07Speaker 5: and I think I handled it as well as you could.
- 21:10Speaker 5: And then I went on to live and live my
- 21:12Speaker 5: life like I you know, was struggling, but you know,
- 21:17Speaker 5: I was in my late twenties and living in New
- 21:19Speaker 5: York City and I was I was a bartender in
- 21:22Speaker 5: Times Square, so I was meeting a lot of people.
- 21:24Speaker 5: I lived with my best friend from college, like I
- 21:26Speaker 5: had a great support system around me to like, all right,
- 21:28Speaker 5: well we're going to get through.
- 21:29Speaker 2: This, like it's okay.
- 21:31Speaker 5: And so fast forward to like into January, something happened
- 21:38Speaker 5: and they gave the show to Deanna, so Chrishelle reached
- 21:44Speaker 5: back out to me and said, you know, some things
- 21:47Speaker 5: are changing. I don't know if I'm going to la anymore,
- 21:51Speaker 5: and you know, if you're up for it, I'd love
- 21:53Speaker 5: to continue to spend time. And I was hesitant because,
- 21:59Speaker 5: like I, it was really hard on me the first time,
- 22:02Speaker 5: like stepping away, and so we did.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Then my grandfather passed.
- 22:07Speaker 5: Away unfortunately, and he died on February tenth, and I
- 22:12Speaker 5: flew home, and to Chrischelle's credit, this was my dad's
- 22:17Speaker 5: like my hero, and so it was the first time
- 22:19Speaker 5: I ever had to see my father in a compromise
- 22:23Speaker 5: position where he needed a little bit of support. My
- 22:26Speaker 5: dad usually handles everything. He's a dressed, lose winding marine
- 22:29Speaker 5: and like just the toughest dude I know. And so
- 22:33Speaker 5: I leaned on Forrschelle. I kind of did some adult
- 22:36Speaker 5: things when it comes to the funeral and the services
- 22:38Speaker 5: and the presentation of my grandfather and took some things
- 22:42Speaker 5: off my dad's plate. But the person that I leaned
- 22:45Speaker 5: on was Forschelle And so when I came back, I
- 22:48Speaker 5: flew back to surprise her on Valentine's Day because the
- 22:53Speaker 5: funeral was on the thirteenth, So I didn't tell her
- 22:55Speaker 5: I was going to come back and surprise her. Well,
- 22:57Speaker 5: she had plans, and that was that was really hard
- 23:00Speaker 5: on me because I had in my mind, I was
- 23:03Speaker 5: thinking we were somewhere else, and that's on me. She
- 23:06Speaker 5: never promised me anything. She was being a supportive person
- 23:10Speaker 5: in my life. But when you have plans on Valentine's Day,
- 23:14Speaker 5: you know, as a guy who just lost his grandfather,
- 23:17Speaker 5: who was the closest person to me that I'd ever lost,
- 23:20Speaker 5: I went right to the bar that I worked at
- 23:22Speaker 5: with my best friend from college and indulged myself. And
- 23:29Speaker 5: so I think by midnight, now it's Valentine's Day. By midnight,
- 23:33Speaker 5: I had no shirt on one. I'm super poor. So
- 23:35Speaker 5: I was shredded out of my mind. Like if anybody
- 23:39Speaker 5: remembers what I look like on that season, it wasn't
- 23:43Speaker 5: because I was a workout feed. It was like I
- 23:45Speaker 5: had no money and I was living on like salads
- 23:50Speaker 5: and like sandwich Deli sandwich me.
- 23:52Speaker 2: You know, I was a poor kid right out of college.
- 23:54Speaker 5: So someone came up to me and was like, Hey,
- 23:58Speaker 5: if you can pass a blood test.
- 24:00Speaker 2: I put you on TV next week. I'm like what
- 24:03Speaker 2: And I thought it was a joke, Like I was like,
- 24:04Speaker 2: no way.
- 24:05Speaker 5: And they told me what the show was, and I
- 24:08Speaker 5: first I was like, no way, that can't be real,
- 24:10Speaker 5: like someone setting me up, someone that I've told at
- 24:13Speaker 5: the bar, like all the girl that I.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Wanted, she's going off to do this show.
- 24:17Speaker 5: So because I couldn't believe that that would actually happen,
- 24:19Speaker 5: Like what are the odds of that? You know, I
- 24:20Speaker 5: didn't apply. I didn't I didn't look for it. Someone
- 24:24Speaker 5: just came up to me in the bar that I
- 24:26Speaker 5: worked at and was like, this guy looks like a
- 24:28Speaker 5: complete he'd be great.
- 24:30Speaker 2: You know this guy.
- 24:41Speaker 5: This guy's walking around holding a bottle of Maker's Mark,
- 24:43Speaker 5: just talking to every girl in here with no shirt on.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Like we got to get him on the show. This
- 24:48Speaker 2: dude was built for this show.
- 24:50Speaker 5: Like we we are getting green lit for a decade
- 24:53Speaker 5: with this guy, Like here's the originator of the spin
- 24:57Speaker 5: off walking around the bar right now. So they called back,
- 25:03Speaker 5: and honestly it was my parents they reached out to me,
- 25:06Speaker 5: and I think maybe my friend from home that was
- 25:09Speaker 5: living with me. It kind of shared, Hey, I don't
- 25:11Speaker 5: know if Graham is handling everything.
- 25:14Speaker 2: So well, and so.
- 25:16Speaker 5: They encouraged me to go. They're like, hey, listen, this
- 25:18Speaker 5: get you out of your bubble. Like you get away
- 25:21Speaker 5: from New York, maybe you meet a nice girl.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Now.
- 25:23Speaker 5: Granted they showed me that night, they showed me a
- 25:25Speaker 5: picture of Deanna, so I knew it wasn't Krishelle. They
- 25:28Speaker 5: had a little headshot of her, and they're like, hey,
- 25:31Speaker 5: if you think this girl's attractive and you'd like to
- 25:33Speaker 5: meet her, we'll put you on TV in a week.
- 25:36Speaker 5: I mean I showed up with like a like a
- 25:38Speaker 5: carry on in a book bag, like I didn't have anything.
- 25:42Speaker 5: But yeah, so Chrishelle originally was supposed to do the show,
- 25:47Speaker 5: and then I ended up on it, and it probably
- 25:51Speaker 5: wasn't fair to Deanna because I was a mess I had,
- 25:55Speaker 5: you know, I was still heartbroken and I felt like
- 25:58Speaker 5: our relationship ended for reasons that weren't that wasn't me,
- 26:02Speaker 5: you know. And then my one of my best friends dies,
- 26:06Speaker 5: is someone I had never dealt with that, and now
- 26:09Speaker 5: I find myself drinking and I've never done that before.
- 26:13Speaker 5: So it just it was it was a wild like
- 26:18Speaker 5: I couldn't I couldn't understand what was happening, and like
- 26:21Speaker 5: the first week I was there. I don't know if
- 26:22Speaker 5: anybody knows this. I don't think I've ever told Bob
- 26:24Speaker 5: of this. One of the pas on set for the
- 26:26Speaker 5: show walks up to me and goes, hey, I know
- 26:28Speaker 5: who you are. I'm like, great, I've been here a week.
- 26:32Speaker 5: You're not very good at your job.
- 26:34Speaker 2: There's only ten of us.
- 26:40Speaker 5: I know, I'm not crazy memorable, but I'm still here.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Like fifteen of those dudes went whole night one. So
- 26:46Speaker 5: he was like, no, I guess he was a PA
- 26:49Speaker 5: on Dancing with the Stars when Cameron Matheson was on,
- 26:53Speaker 5: and he was like, so, Chrishelle, her his co star,
- 26:58Speaker 5: would come to the showings and talk about you all
- 27:00Speaker 5: the time. So that was on set and he was like, so,
- 27:05Speaker 5: what's the deal there? And I was like, there is
- 27:08Speaker 5: no deal. I don't I mean, I don't know, like
- 27:11Speaker 5: I don't know what you're talking about. So like and again,
- 27:14Speaker 5: I didn't know anything about TV shows. I didn't know
- 27:17Speaker 5: about anything. I was just there like am I a
- 27:20Speaker 5: fraud or am I doing the wrong thing? Or should
- 27:23Speaker 5: I leave? Like every day it was like should I leave?
- 27:25Speaker 5: You know, like am I hurting someone? So everyone looks
- 27:29Speaker 5: at that show, and like, man, you didn't talk much
- 27:31Speaker 5: or you didn't do much, And I was trying to
- 27:33Speaker 5: be as authentic of a person, Like I didn't want
- 27:36Speaker 5: to act for the show.
- 27:37Speaker 2: I didn't want.
- 27:37Speaker 5: To act for Deanna and act like I was madly
- 27:41Speaker 5: in love. I was trying to figure out myself. I
- 27:43Speaker 5: was trying to respect her as a person because I
- 27:46Speaker 5: love Deanna. I'm still close with Deanna. I wish the
- 27:49Speaker 5: best for her, and I think that she's she respects
- 27:53Speaker 5: me and that I never lied to her. I did
- 27:56Speaker 5: my best in the hand that I was dealt. I mean,
- 27:59Speaker 5: that was a while scenario to think of, because that
- 28:02Speaker 5: I hear all these crazy stories that people want to
- 28:04Speaker 5: get on this show so bad, and it's such a
- 28:06Speaker 5: wonderful opportunity, and like it was just surrounding my life.
- 28:10Speaker 5: You know, yeah, it was meant to I had to
- 28:13Speaker 5: lie for years. I was you know, I taught to
- 28:16Speaker 5: my parents after they met her, and you know, my
- 28:19Speaker 5: parents didn't want me to go to the fantasy suites
- 28:22Speaker 5: if I wasn't gonna pursue her or be in love
- 28:25Speaker 5: or ask her to marry me. So I asked to
- 28:27Speaker 5: leave the show, and then I had to pretend like
- 28:29Speaker 5: I got kicked off the show, and it was just
- 28:31Speaker 5: really confusing and then live for years about it, and
- 28:35Speaker 5: nobody knew about Herschelle's part, and it was just a weird,
- 28:38Speaker 5: yeah thing, you know, for someone who's like average Joe regular,
- 28:42Speaker 5: you know, like like.
- 28:44Speaker 4: This whole I thought a lot of credit to you, though,
- 28:47Speaker 4: because you and Deanna created a really nice friendship too.
- 28:50Speaker 2: After the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I went to her wedding,
- 28:53Speaker 2: you know.
- 28:53Speaker 5: I I know that it's it's a challenging time for
- 28:57Speaker 5: her right now from from what I've heard, but I
- 29:01Speaker 5: will always support her, always love her. She's always been
- 29:03Speaker 5: crazy con Even when she found out some of the
- 29:05Speaker 5: backstory of this, she reached out and she couldn't have
- 29:08Speaker 5: been more supportive, and like, hey, I value who you
- 29:10Speaker 5: are as a person. You've continued to be a steadfast,
- 29:14Speaker 5: you know, constant in my life, you know, and I
- 29:16Speaker 5: appreciate that. And I think some people go on the
- 29:18Speaker 5: show and it's okay with motives to continue certain roads
- 29:23Speaker 5: and paths, And for me, I've always just tried to
- 29:26Speaker 5: make sure that whatever I do, whether it's being filmed
- 29:28Speaker 5: or not filmed, that I'm the same person, and I
- 29:31Speaker 5: stay true to who I am as a person and
- 29:33Speaker 5: never kind of used that. Like when I left the show,
- 29:36Speaker 5: I didn't. I know, I did some spinoff years later,
- 29:38Speaker 5: but I didn't blog about it. I didn't, you know,
- 29:40Speaker 5: I didn't ever try to use the franchise for anything
- 29:43Speaker 5: other than it was a wonderful opportunity experience to meet
- 29:46Speaker 5: like really cool people.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, okay, So wait, you mentioned that you had
- 30:01Speaker 3: to lie for years? What were what what were you
- 30:04Speaker 3: lying about? Just I got a little confused there.
- 30:08Speaker 2: We set up that she sent me home.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Oh okay, so the produce I wanted to.
- 30:12Speaker 5: Make sure I protected her. I was like, hey, look,
- 30:15Speaker 5: I'm going home whether you you know, no matter what happens,
- 30:18Speaker 5: I'm not coming back tomorrow. So tonight at the Rose ceremony,
- 30:22Speaker 5: you know, let her know, because it was it was
- 30:26Speaker 5: presented to me that she that they really wanted her
- 30:30Speaker 5: to get a proposal. You know, she had been through
- 30:31Speaker 5: a lot with the season before and I can't remember
- 30:35Speaker 5: her handler's name, and I was say, well, I'm not
- 30:38Speaker 5: going to propose, and I've talked to my parents about it,
- 30:40Speaker 5: and I don't want to get in the way of something.
- 30:41Speaker 2: That is really important to her.
- 30:44Speaker 5: So just let her know I won't be coming back,
- 30:46Speaker 5: and if she wants me to excuse myself, I will,
- 30:49Speaker 5: But if she wants to send me, so maybe it's
- 30:51Speaker 5: a little bit easier on her, you know, just let
- 30:53Speaker 5: her know, just don't pick me, and I'll go home
- 30:55Speaker 5: quietly and I won't I won't talk about it, which
- 30:58Speaker 5: and I didn't.
- 30:59Speaker 4: For years, which I think is cool too, because I
- 31:02Speaker 4: often thought, you know, we've we've seen it when they
- 31:05Speaker 4: do the season and they'll be like, you know, the
- 31:07Speaker 4: line up for the rose ceremony up before you get started,
- 31:10Speaker 4: I'm out of here, you know, and it's such a
- 31:11Speaker 4: grand stand moment.
- 31:12Speaker 2: And I always the fact that you.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Didn't, you didn't, you made it the complete opposite of
- 31:17Speaker 4: a grand stand bowed out gracefully, and I think that's
- 31:20Speaker 4: that's a very gentlemanly way to handle that.
- 31:22Speaker 2: And I think that that was says a lot about
- 31:24Speaker 2: your character too, you know, which I love. I appreciate it.
- 31:27Speaker 5: I mean, I have a small ego. Hopefully I keep
- 31:30Speaker 5: it in check. But like so for years I was like, yeah, yeah,
- 31:33Speaker 5: and then people you know, you know, for years to
- 31:35Speaker 5: come out you got dope, don't television.
- 31:36Speaker 2: You're like, yeah, yeah.
- 31:40Speaker 4: I did.
- 31:40Speaker 1: I did by myself.
- 31:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I did it.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:45Speaker 2: That was And then like honestly, I'm talking a bomb
- 31:47Speaker 2: about this. Uh.
- 31:48Speaker 5: ABC found out like the whole backstory because Chrishelle and
- 31:52Speaker 5: I uh picked it back up when I got home
- 31:55Speaker 5: a couple of months later, and you know, communicated and
- 31:58Speaker 5: and again, I was living in New York in the
- 32:01Speaker 5: in the soap world. We had mutual friends, so we
- 32:03Speaker 5: would run into each other a lot, and we started
- 32:05Speaker 5: kind of hanging out and communicating. And ABC flew to
- 32:09Speaker 5: New York to our apartment we had moved in together
- 32:12Speaker 5: six months seven months later, and filmed a special with
- 32:15Speaker 5: us about it. Yeah, and I've never seen it. I'm like,
- 32:19Speaker 5: never seen a last day of that. Yeah, like what
- 32:21Speaker 5: happened to that?
- 32:22Speaker 1: It was a special just about you and Chrischelle or
- 32:25Speaker 1: was going to it was going to be.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Part of Oh I don't know that you would have
- 32:29Speaker 5: to talk to now, but they're like they spent a
- 32:31Speaker 5: whole day filming with us, and like the streets in
- 32:33Speaker 5: New York and our story, interviewing her, interviewing interviewing us
- 32:37Speaker 5: to get you know what I bet it was.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Remember that.
- 32:40Speaker 1: It was like it was like a follow up they
- 32:42Speaker 1: would do like a follow.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Us one twenty twenty special or the six evenus. I
- 32:45Speaker 2: can't remember. I think it was a twenty twenty special
- 32:47Speaker 2: they did a few years later.
- 32:48Speaker 4: And I'll bet you that's it was going to be
- 32:50Speaker 4: part of that somehow, some way, I'll bet you because
- 32:52Speaker 4: I remember that, and I remember that that segment, and
- 32:56Speaker 4: that was definitely ABC. That wasn't the Bachelor producers that
- 33:00Speaker 4: were doing it. It was ABC, not you know what
- 33:01Speaker 4: I mean.
- 33:01Speaker 2: So I bet you that's what it was. No, I was,
- 33:03Speaker 2: it was Elon Gale, so he worked.
- 33:06Speaker 1: Okay to say they actually did on the show.
- 33:09Speaker 3: They would do like just catch up, you know, catch
- 33:13Speaker 3: up with people.
- 33:14Speaker 2: I remember that. But anyway, they also were like, yo,
- 33:17Speaker 2: that's wild, Like how in the world did that happen? So, yeah,
- 33:22Speaker 2: it's crazy.
- 33:23Speaker 3: I would love to know all the things that have
- 33:26Speaker 3: ended up on cutting room floors that like that. So
- 33:31Speaker 3: none of us even know about, Like we had no
- 33:33Speaker 3: idea that you and Krishelle were living together and you
- 33:36Speaker 3: know they were doing It's so crazy how much lage
- 33:39Speaker 3: is on the cutting room floor. Okay, so you're still single.
- 33:45Speaker 3: I assume, would you ever go on the show again?
- 33:48Speaker 3: You've been on Bachelor in Paradise once, would you do
- 33:51Speaker 3: it again?
- 33:52Speaker 5: What's the what's the paycheck? Looked like I would hope.
- 34:00Speaker 5: I'm in Bob's world now I'm in the hosting world.
- 34:02Speaker 5: Come on, buddy, you got a gig now if they
- 34:06Speaker 5: let me be the main person like you two, like
- 34:08Speaker 5: you got you know, I never got to choose. I
- 34:12Speaker 5: never got hey, I've never gotten to choose.
- 34:14Speaker 4: Like I'm recommending it, I'm gonna I'm gonna create a
- 34:19Speaker 4: ground swell for this and make sure we get you
- 34:21Speaker 4: back on that show.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I think that would be awesome.
- 34:23Speaker 5: Hey, at this point, at this point, I'm not against it.
- 34:26Speaker 5: I'll be honest with you. I just got out of
- 34:28Speaker 5: a relationship that was long distance, which I was bragging
- 34:31Speaker 5: to Bob. I wanted I wanted to uh stoping in Michigan.
- 34:35Speaker 5: She she lived in Canada and that was challenging. So
- 34:41Speaker 5: like I've I've definitely nothing like the two relationships that that.
- 34:45Speaker 5: I mean, I have a hard time letting people in
- 34:48Speaker 5: once I do, like, it's it's full go. And Chrishelle
- 34:53Speaker 5: was the young love and the next young Lady Bob
- 34:56Speaker 5: also knows very very well.
- 34:58Speaker 2: We have a.
- 34:58Speaker 5: Wonderful relationship as far as uh supportive and kind, and
- 35:03Speaker 5: she'll be someone that would reach out and say, hey,
- 35:05Speaker 5: I saw you got a new job, and I'm just
- 35:07Speaker 5: so proud of you, like just Falter the earth amazing
- 35:11Speaker 5: human being.
- 35:11Speaker 2: But that one also almost killed me.
- 35:13Speaker 5: So hey, I don't know how it's gonna happen or
- 35:17Speaker 5: if it's gonna happen, but I'm not turning away any
- 35:19Speaker 5: any any help.
- 35:20Speaker 2: So if you guys know some people, let your boy know.
- 35:22Speaker 2: I said with Canyon, it's either three strikes you're out
- 35:24Speaker 2: or third times a charm, you know. So it's uh,
- 35:27Speaker 2: thankfully we got we got it right on the third
- 35:28Speaker 2: time around. There you go. I think we're waiting for it, buddy,
- 35:31Speaker 2: it's coming right. It sounds good. If you guys think
- 35:34Speaker 2: there's a hope for me, then I'll believe you.
- 35:37Speaker 1: There's always help for there's always that's right, that's right.
- 35:41Speaker 3: And there are other shows, you know, like I don't know,
- 35:46Speaker 3: Special Forces, like Got to Get Out.
- 35:50Speaker 1: I think the Traders, which Chris was on.
- 35:53Speaker 5: I've actually been approached by Traders, I have. Yeah, yeah,
- 36:01Speaker 5: they were very kind. It was like a month before
- 36:04Speaker 5: I got this job, so I don't know how that affect.
- 36:06Speaker 5: I mean, the people that do Traders also, they were
- 36:09Speaker 5: part of the executive team that launched the show that
- 36:12Speaker 5: I hosted that was on NBC. So some of that
- 36:14Speaker 5: team over at NBC Universal works on that show as well,
- 36:18Speaker 5: and they also in the meeting were made aware of
- 36:22Speaker 5: my relationship with Chrischelle and.
- 36:23Speaker 2: They're like, wait a minute. I was like, I want
- 36:28Speaker 2: to do something that's not predicated on Chrschelle.
- 36:30Speaker 5: She's obviously incredibly successful and in her own right, and
- 36:35Speaker 5: part of me also hopes that I can do some
- 36:38Speaker 5: things with my life in a way where she was.
- 36:40Speaker 2: Like, all right, well he's doing it. He's doing good.
- 36:43Speaker 2: He's doing good. Man. I think this new show is
- 36:46Speaker 2: so great. First of all, you know what a lot
- 36:48Speaker 2: of people might not know.
- 36:49Speaker 4: I mean, you were you were so ingrained in the
- 36:52Speaker 4: country music community after obviously a big country one of five,
- 36:55Speaker 4: and then you went off into your show.
- 36:56Speaker 2: I mean with gosh, who was on that show with you?
- 37:00Speaker 5: Had?
- 37:01Speaker 2: Uh the guy that I played the gig with that
- 37:02Speaker 2: I love. I can't I was gonna say Conway Twitty,
- 37:05Speaker 2: but I know that's not his name, Travis Tripp. Travis Tripp,
- 37:07Speaker 2: thank you. And I met him at the Derby a
- 37:09Speaker 2: few times and we would sit there and.
- 37:10Speaker 4: Talk about you, and he just loves you, absolutely loves you,
- 37:15Speaker 4: you know, and then you you obviously for all these years,
- 37:18Speaker 4: I mean, you've been getting really close with a lot
- 37:20Speaker 4: of the community doing your Amazon show and everything else.
- 37:23Speaker 4: So I mean, you've been doing so much, and it's like,
- 37:25Speaker 4: this is great that first of all, you get to
- 37:27Speaker 4: go back home, which I love because I know you
- 37:29Speaker 4: love North Carolina and you get to you get to
- 37:32Speaker 4: be I think it seems like you and your co
- 37:34Speaker 4: host have a great chemistry with one another.
- 37:37Speaker 5: And yeah, she's awesome. She's an incredible human and so
- 37:41Speaker 5: much fun and one of the hardest workers I know.
- 37:43Speaker 5: I think we could build something pretty special. There's things
- 37:46Speaker 5: floating around about what could happen with the show. So
- 37:49Speaker 5: I'm I'm very blessed and very lucky. And yeah, I mean,
- 37:52Speaker 5: outside of outside of my love life, I'm crushing it.
- 37:59Speaker 5: You boys was fire.
- 38:03Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe we need to bring Trista in on this sooner,
- 38:06Speaker 4: you because Trista is very connected.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, a lot of ladies love trista man.
- 38:11Speaker 4: They her about their woes and their whimsical thoughts, and
- 38:15Speaker 4: now she's got a guy to plug into this stuff.
- 38:17Speaker 2: Oh yeah, they do, they do, they do. And then
- 38:20Speaker 2: on the show, I've heard it, I've heard. Well.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I'm so proud of you, man. I love I love
- 38:30Speaker 4: seeing you so, I love seeing you happy, I love
- 38:32Speaker 4: seeing you so busy. I love seeing you back. I'm
- 38:35Speaker 4: sure I happen to know that Karen Bunn is very happy.
- 38:40Speaker 2: I am sure was very happy. She watches everything and
- 38:44Speaker 2: she loves Bob.
- 38:45Speaker 4: So, Mom, I'm just so happy that you get to
- 38:53Speaker 4: be home because I know, I know what it meant
- 38:54Speaker 4: to me to move back home to Michigan and be
- 38:57Speaker 4: closer to my mom and dad and and and be
- 38:59Speaker 4: there for you know.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Some stuff and.
- 39:03Speaker 4: Not have to regret have regret, you know, And so
- 39:06Speaker 4: that as our as our families get older, it's nice
- 39:09Speaker 4: to kind of be a little more of a proximity.
- 39:11Speaker 2: And I think knowing you the way I do, and
- 39:13Speaker 2: knowing where your heart is, I knew that that was
- 39:15Speaker 2: when I saw that. I'm like, oh man, this is
- 39:18Speaker 2: this is the way it should be, you know, and
- 39:19Speaker 2: it's it's great.
- 39:21Speaker 4: So I'm so happy for you, and I'm happy that
- 39:23Speaker 4: you're my O G guy on the show and that
- 39:25Speaker 4: we can talk about all this great stuff.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, I appreciate it. I mean it was a
- 39:29Speaker 2: long ago. I was painting your buddy's fence in his
- 39:31Speaker 2: backyard for three hundred bucks.
- 39:35Speaker 4: Oh my gosh, man, I'll never forget that as long
- 39:38Speaker 4: as I live. Oh, Graham does a nice so with
- 39:42Speaker 4: great like he said, if he if he's in, he's
- 39:44Speaker 4: all in. And he did such an amazing job on
- 39:47Speaker 4: this buddy, a mutual friend of ours, fence and he
- 39:51Speaker 4: was doing it, as you know, out of kindness.
- 39:54Speaker 2: But the guy said, I'm going to hire this job
- 39:56Speaker 2: out unless you want to do it. Graham's like, I'll
- 39:58Speaker 2: do it. Graham sands it down.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Graham buys all these tools, all this special stuff, does
- 40:04Speaker 4: an amazing job.
- 40:06Speaker 2: I mean, this is a big ass fence. This fence
- 40:08Speaker 2: was this yard had a giant pull in the back.
- 40:10Speaker 5: I mean it was seven it was seventy yards because
- 40:12Speaker 5: it wrapped around it was seventy yards.
- 40:14Speaker 2: I hand sanded it. I sanded it with my hands.
- 40:17Speaker 1: And you only got paid three hundred dollars.
- 40:20Speaker 2: And I spent four hundred on the on the supplies.
- 40:26Speaker 1: No, no, that is bad business. Grandbund.
- 40:29Speaker 5: You can tell me what he's gonna pay me. He
- 40:31Speaker 5: was like, he was like, i'll pay you, and I
- 40:32Speaker 5: was like, okay. So I went out and bought the supplies.
- 40:35Speaker 5: And the funny thing was, so here's the kicker, and
- 40:38Speaker 5: then I'll stop talking and you.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Guys can hang up on me.
- 40:41Speaker 5: We Bob and I have a friend that runs a
- 40:44Speaker 5: construction company and this guy hauls him and goes, hey, man,
- 40:48Speaker 5: I got this fence out back, and I'm gonna have
- 40:53Speaker 5: one of my buddies do it. I don't really know
- 40:54Speaker 5: what to pay him. What would you pay one of
- 40:56Speaker 5: your guys? And our buddy looks at him and says,
- 41:00Speaker 5: because he tells us this story later, he goes, yeah,
- 41:03Speaker 5: I told him I paid about six hundred and fifty
- 41:05Speaker 5: seven hundred dollars, but I you know, I wouldn't even
- 41:07Speaker 5: make him send it. And then goes, what do you
- 41:09Speaker 5: pay you? I said, I sanded it, and he paid
- 41:11Speaker 5: me three hundred four hundred less than he was told
- 41:18Speaker 5: to without sanding it.
- 41:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't pay for the supplies or anything.
- 41:23Speaker 5: No, I lost some money on the gig those guys
- 41:26Speaker 5: when I'm partying in l A. I stayed home thinking
- 41:29Speaker 5: like I'm supposed to be working, like I shouldn't be partying.
- 41:32Speaker 2: I'm standing in this fence and I ended up it
- 41:34Speaker 2: was it was one hundred dollars lesson that, Like, you
- 41:36Speaker 2: know what, I gotta get a I gotta get a
- 41:38Speaker 2: radio job. Oh my god, this is it's funny because
- 41:43Speaker 2: it's so true. So what do you pay you? So
- 41:47Speaker 2: what do you pay? You pay you a thousand? I
- 41:49Speaker 2: maybe three hundred bucks. Yeah, grahams just like.
- 41:54Speaker 4: But you know, Graham's the type of guy too. Though
- 41:56Speaker 4: he didn't even he didn't like count it all for him.
- 41:58Speaker 4: He handed it to him like he man, thank you
- 42:00Speaker 4: so much for your hard work. And Graham, yeah, Graham.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Puts it in his pocket. You know it looks at
- 42:04Speaker 2: it later. Yea God of telling me, well.
- 42:13Speaker 3: We're very happy for this next phase for you and
- 42:17Speaker 3: the new show and being with your family.
- 42:19Speaker 4: The new show is Graham Bycessarily in the Mornings, ninety
- 42:23Speaker 4: six point ninety the Cat.
- 42:24Speaker 2: It's on iHeart Country.
- 42:25Speaker 4: Obviously, it's already a huge hit and it's just going
- 42:28Speaker 4: to be exploding into your ears much.
- 42:31Speaker 2: I can't wait, I mean with all the people, you know.
- 42:34Speaker 2: I mean, man, you've become.
- 42:35Speaker 4: Such good friends with so many of the country stars
- 42:36Speaker 4: over the years, and you know, I do want to
- 42:39Speaker 4: end with this really quickly. So Graham Canyon and I
- 42:43Speaker 4: had moved to Seattle and it was our wedding anniversary weekend,
- 42:48Speaker 4: and she surprised me unannounced with a trip and we
- 42:51Speaker 4: fly into la and she's got a car rented and
- 42:55Speaker 4: I get in the car and she drives me and
- 42:57Speaker 4: we go to Laguna Beach to this beautiful hotel and
- 43:01Speaker 4: I'm like, oh my god, this is amazing.
- 43:03Speaker 2: You know, I didn't she surprised me with all of it.
- 43:05Speaker 4: And I hear when I feel like, sounds like live
- 43:08Speaker 4: music out there somewhere, and I look down over the
- 43:11Speaker 4: edge of this hotel and I look on the beach
- 43:13Speaker 4: and there's this huge country well I didn't.
- 43:16Speaker 2: Know this country at the time. There's a huge concert
- 43:17Speaker 2: going on. I'm like, oh my god, this is amazing.
- 43:20Speaker 4: So I text Graham and I'm like, you know, hey, man,
- 43:24Speaker 4: what you up too. He's like, oh, you know, I'm
- 43:26Speaker 4: working or whatever. So I get down and he doesn't
- 43:28Speaker 4: tell me where he's working. So I get down to
- 43:30Speaker 4: this concert. We decided to go inside the concert and
- 43:33Speaker 4: I see I see with you know, Mornings with Graham,
- 43:36Speaker 4: his radio show at the time, all over this place.
- 43:38Speaker 2: I'm like, what is going on?
- 43:40Speaker 4: And so I'm texting him like hey, look at this,
- 43:42Speaker 4: and he's like, where are you. I'm like, I'm outside, man,
- 43:45Speaker 4: I'm at this show. He's like, I'm backstage. So he
- 43:50Speaker 4: comes out, he gets me go backstage. It was it
- 43:53Speaker 4: was one of those moments. It was like so serendipitous, right,
- 43:55Speaker 4: like you don't even plan it. I didn't even know
- 43:58Speaker 4: I was going to California. I end up running with
- 43:59Speaker 4: best buddies there hosting the whole thing, and I'm just like,
- 44:03Speaker 4: oh my god.
- 44:04Speaker 2: You know, it's like just and you were so kind
- 44:06Speaker 2: to us, buddy, and it was such a great trip.
- 44:08Speaker 2: And Canyon loves you so much.
- 44:09Speaker 4: And like I said, we give we give Graham all
- 44:11Speaker 4: the credit for for us being where we are today
- 44:14Speaker 4: and and and it was one of those things that
- 44:16Speaker 4: was like to get to spend time with them unexpectedly
- 44:18Speaker 4: and and to see you there.
- 44:20Speaker 2: But that's that's the kind of the warmth and and
- 44:24Speaker 2: the kind.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Of love that you radiate everywhere you go, and I'm
- 44:27Speaker 4: sure the folks in North Carolina, you know who, who
- 44:30Speaker 4: maybe didn't know you when you were there before and
- 44:32Speaker 4: know you now are going to just fall in love
- 44:33Speaker 4: with you, brother. And I'm excited for the show and
- 44:35Speaker 4: excited to see all the successes come in your way.
- 44:38Speaker 2: I appreciate it. And if things don't work out with Canyon,
- 44:40Speaker 2: holler at me. Yeah, welcome down my hands.
- 44:48Speaker 5: I haven't had someone say such nice things in a
- 44:50Speaker 5: long time, man, at least sweet nothings.
- 44:52Speaker 2: Brother, I'm not even whispered. I'm yelling them my microphone.
- 44:56Speaker 2: I'm just thank you for, you know, just putting up
- 45:00Speaker 2: with us. I appreciate it. I love you, brother, we love.
- 45:04Speaker 3: Having you on, We love having you, and we're so
- 45:08Speaker 3: excited for your new show and all the good things
- 45:11Speaker 3: that are going to be coming up in your future.
- 45:14Speaker 2: Yeah, HARVESD season, you guys, throw some prayers out there.
- 45:16Speaker 2: Nice young lady, you know what I mean.
- 45:17Speaker 4: There you go, lady, I'm manifesting. I'm manifesting. Yeah, put
- 45:23Speaker 4: it on your vision boards.
- 45:24Speaker 2: Let's get this. He handled vision board.
- 45:26Speaker 1: No, it's all up here. I forget everything up here.
- 45:30Speaker 2: So yeah, I'll put it right now. Awesome. Well, thank
- 45:35Speaker 2: you for having me, guys. I appreciate it. Hopefully it
- 45:37Speaker 2: wasn't too boring.
- 45:39Speaker 1: It was great, man, stop it a thanks for coming.
- 45:43Speaker 4: We'll lockhorns on that game and we'll get the lines
- 45:45Speaker 4: and Commanders tipping off.
- 45:46Speaker 2: We'll get it done. I'll give us last time in
- 45:49Speaker 2: real world. Look, get you next time. I did not
- 45:51Speaker 2: text you. I did not text you after that. No,
- 45:54Speaker 2: you do not thank you.
- 45:56Speaker 4: I literally sat there like I think I told you
- 45:58Speaker 4: the story when I texted you the next day.
- 45:59Speaker 2: But my son, so Graham, obviously, he has always.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Been a big you know, he was a big Redskins
- 46:05Speaker 4: Commanders fan, and he knows of my love for the Lions.
- 46:07Speaker 4: And this year in the playoffs, the Lions beat I'm sorry,
- 46:10Speaker 4: the Commanders beat the Lions, and uh and the next
- 46:13Speaker 4: and I was I may have shed a couple of
- 46:15Speaker 4: tears that night. And I didn't get any text. I
- 46:17Speaker 4: didn't get anybody, you know. The next day, I have
- 46:20Speaker 4: to go to my six year old son's flag football game.
- 46:23Speaker 4: He plays for the Washington Commanders, that was his team name,
- 46:26Speaker 4: and he ends up running a touchdown all the way
- 46:28Speaker 4: to length of field, and I text Graham I'm like,
- 46:31Speaker 4: this is the second time I've cried over the commanders
- 46:33Speaker 4: in two days.
- 46:36Speaker 2: I was finally ready to talk about it. It's great,
- 46:40Speaker 2: it's great. Cut I love you, buddy, take care of me.
- 46:44Speaker 2: Thanks for joining GM. Graham bun Man, Salt of the Earth.
- 46:50Speaker 2: That's my guy, right there is any something?
- 46:52Speaker 1: He is one of the good ones. Yeah, yeah, he is.
- 46:56Speaker 1: And it's always so shocking to me that he is
- 46:59Speaker 1: still single.
- 46:59Speaker 3: You know, like obviously he's had some serious relationships but
- 47:05Speaker 3: that didn't work out. But ladies, if you are in
- 47:08Speaker 3: North Carolina, you better go DM this guy because he.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Is one of the good ones.
- 47:13Speaker 2: He really is. Man, he absolutely is, and I will
- 47:16Speaker 2: tell you.
- 47:16Speaker 4: I mean I live with him. We lived together for
- 47:20Speaker 4: a couple of years. And very courteous, very kind, very respectful,
- 47:25Speaker 4: you know. I mean, his parents raise him right. They
- 47:28Speaker 4: are wonderful people. And it's just you know, you see
- 47:31Speaker 4: somebody like that and you're like, man, okay, sooner or
- 47:33Speaker 4: later they're going to find that right person, you know,
- 47:35Speaker 4: and I know he will. He'll be a great dad
- 47:38Speaker 4: if he ever decides to do that. I mean, he's
- 47:41Speaker 4: I mean, you just see him with people's kids. He's
