- 1:23Speaker 2: call us and you let us know. Okay, now you
- 1:25Speaker 2: got one. What's going on?
- 1:27Speaker 3: Okay? So I know it's wrong, and I know it's
- 1:29Speaker 3: kind of weird, but I can't stop doing it. Uh,
- 1:33Speaker 3: every time I talk to someone, like coworkers, friends, even
- 1:36Speaker 3: my own sister, I hit the record button on my
- 1:39Speaker 3: phone before the conversation even starts.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Wait do you record? Okay, let me get this right.
- 1:46Speaker 2: You record everyone's conversations that you're you're talking to.
- 1:51Speaker 3: Yeah, Like I keep it hidden in my pocket or
- 1:53Speaker 3: my purse, like as a little secret insurance policy.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Why in the world do you do this? So you
- 1:59Speaker 2: record all the conversations you have with people?
- 2:03Speaker 1: For what you paranoid?
- 2:06Speaker 3: Well, I kind of tell myself that people like twist
- 2:09Speaker 3: things and forget things and lie without realizing they're lying.
- 2:12Speaker 3: But you kind of think it might be me.
- 2:15Speaker 1: No, I think you're right. I think it's definitely you.
- 2:17Speaker 2: So you say you have to go back and listen
- 2:19Speaker 2: to all this to figure out if someone was lying
- 2:22Speaker 2: about something.
- 2:23Speaker 1: So I'm kind right, Well, that's the thing.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Like I just don't think I trust anybody anymore. And
- 2:27Speaker 3: like the worst thing is, I don't even listen to
- 2:28Speaker 3: the recordings, like I just saved them and label them
- 2:31Speaker 3: and archive them like memories because I don't trust my
- 2:34Speaker 3: own brain to hold them.
- 2:35Speaker 2: Oh wow, wow, this is a this is different, so heavy,
- 2:39Speaker 2: but I yeah, but I also, well, I always try
- 2:42Speaker 2: to put myself in the shoes of somebody who has
- 2:44Speaker 2: this dirty little secret to me.
- 2:47Speaker 1: You've obviously have I.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Don't want to see you've had you've been burned, but
- 2:50Speaker 2: it sounds like you've been burned before in the past
- 2:52Speaker 2: by friends or.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Whoever, anytimes there you go.
- 2:55Speaker 2: So if you've been burned and you don't trust anybody,
- 2:58Speaker 2: I get why you would do this in a weird way.
- 3:00Speaker 2: I get like, hey, I'm just going to record the
- 3:01Speaker 2: conversation and if you say some weird but obviously they
- 3:04Speaker 2: don't know you're recording the conversations.
- 3:07Speaker 1: They don't Is this legal, not really.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Legal.
- 3:12Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 3:12Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure listen, it doesn't matter whatever.
- 3:15Speaker 3: So you're doing it.
- 3:18Speaker 2: So let's say you let's say you're having a conversation
- 3:21Speaker 2: with your you said your sister. Let's say you're having
- 3:22Speaker 2: a conversation with your sister. Before you do do you
- 3:25Speaker 2: do it on voice notes or whatever? You just hit
- 3:27Speaker 2: recording and you kind of put the phone down and
- 3:28Speaker 2: there you go.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, I do. I just put it in my pocket
- 3:32Speaker 3: or in my purse and and just it's like automatic.
- 3:35Speaker 1: Now yeah, it's like almost a habit, like it just
- 3:37Speaker 1: it's natural to you that you just do it.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:40Speaker 1: And customer service, Yeah, yeah, this call might be recording. Okay,
- 3:47Speaker 1: I might start doing this.
- 3:48Speaker 3: I know.
- 3:48Speaker 1: You know.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I don't trust people either. I don't No, I get it.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I don't trust anybody. Every time I talk to Canna Lopez,
- 3:54Speaker 2: I record our conversations. CA, Yeah, they are I have
- 4:00Speaker 2: done this.
- 4:01Speaker 1: Who have you recorded?
- 4:02Speaker 2: I did it talking to an X one time because
- 4:04Speaker 2: she was trying to lie about something I said and
- 4:07Speaker 2: I was like, I can't believe you'd say that, and
- 4:08Speaker 2: I was recording the conversation.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Wow, yeah, damn crazy. I couldn't do it.
- 4:15Speaker 2: No, I don't know. I don't because your flip phone
- 4:17Speaker 2: won't do it. That's why bo, your ghetto flip phone
- 4:21Speaker 2: won't record. Well, good for you. I think everybody has
- 4:27Speaker 2: their little quirky things that they do.
- 4:29Speaker 1: We all do.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Yeah, this one is unfortunately, I think, because of your past,
- 4:34Speaker 2: which kind of sucks that you've been burning like that before,
- 4:36Speaker 2: because when you have.
- 4:37Speaker 1: You shouldn't have to live and think that way all
- 4:39Speaker 1: the time. Well, and that's what I was going to say.
- 4:41Speaker 2: Maybe you should talk to somebody and say, hey, this
- 4:43Speaker 2: is what I do, and this is why I do it,
- 4:44Speaker 2: because yeah, people have trauma responses to things that they've
- 4:48Speaker 2: had happened in their past. And this, as silly as
- 4:51Speaker 2: it is, this is what it seems like it is
- 4:52Speaker 2: for you. So you can't be doing this your entire
- 4:55Speaker 2: First of all, your phone doesn't even have that much.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Storage right back up a computer.
- 5:01Speaker 2: Seriously, Well, thank you so much, good luck and I
- 5:05Speaker 2: appreciate you confessing.
- 5:06Speaker 3: All right, thank you
