- 0:11Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, good morning, Welcome, welcome, welcome at
- 0:14Speaker 1: his time. Now for a car talk brought to you
- 0:16Speaker 1: by the Dungeons Toyota DA.
- 0:19Speaker 2: And then we've got Jason in today. Jason, Hey, good morning, Tom. Well,
- 0:23Speaker 2: I did bring friends. I brought Janelle.
- 0:26Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I knew i'd do it. Deanie and Melody
- 0:34Speaker 3: from Concern and they're going to be here talking about
- 0:38Speaker 3: the battle in Bartlesville, which is big, a lot of
- 0:43Speaker 3: lips sinking. But first I thought i'd talk to you
- 0:46Speaker 3: guys a little bit about cars, because we are Dungeon's
- 0:49Speaker 3: Toyota and you know, Tom Brad is at the annual
- 0:54Speaker 3: Toyota Dealers Conference in Las Vegas this week.
- 0:59Speaker 4: Yeah, all the stages, Yeah exactly.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I guess got to see Maroon five the band, and
- 1:07Speaker 2: is having a good time out there. But more important
- 1:09Speaker 2: than having a good time, he is learning about all
- 1:12Speaker 2: the new products that Toyota is coming up with, and
- 1:16Speaker 2: there's some exciting stuff that is going to be introduced
- 1:19Speaker 2: in the next couple of months. Toyota's coming out with
- 1:21Speaker 2: a fully redesigned RAV four in twenty twenty six. From
- 1:27Speaker 2: what I have seen, it is a sweet looking The
- 1:31Speaker 2: ones we got right now are pretty garden good. Well, yeah,
- 1:35Speaker 2: I'm pretty excited about that. Brad's also he is really
- 1:40Speaker 2: going to make an effort to try and meet the CEO.
- 1:43Speaker 4: From what I.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Understand so well, I'm sure he's going to have some
- 1:47Speaker 2: stories when he gets back next week. Great, and I've
- 1:51Speaker 2: got a couple of stories I want to tell everybody
- 1:53Speaker 2: about some of the great deals that we have going
- 1:55Speaker 2: on this week or this month that Dungeons Toyota. One
- 1:59Speaker 2: of my favorite, it's the Toyota Tundra, which is an awesome,
- 2:05Speaker 2: awesome vehicle, the Toyota Tundra right now twenty twenty five
- 2:09Speaker 2: Toyota Tundra one point seventy five percent interest for seventy
- 2:14Speaker 2: two months. Toyota hasn't done a subvention like this in
- 2:18Speaker 2: a long darn time.
- 2:20Speaker 5: But the.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Area that we are in the district that Dungeon's Toyota
- 2:27Speaker 2: is in is really trying hard to be the number
- 2:31Speaker 2: one tundra district for Toyota globally. Well, yeah, so, and
- 2:39Speaker 2: we're very close. I think it's going to happen. So
- 2:43Speaker 2: we are making some great deals on tundras, is what
- 2:46Speaker 2: I'm trying to say. And that one point seventy five
- 2:50Speaker 2: percent interest for seventy two months.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Sure as heck helps.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Another great deal that we have if you're looking for
- 2:59Speaker 2: a slightly smaller pickup truck, the Toyota Tacoma. Right now,
- 3:05Speaker 2: you can get into a Tacoma for as little as
- 3:08Speaker 2: two forty nine a month for thirty six months on
- 3:11Speaker 2: a lease, and there's also some cemented money there. I
- 3:16Speaker 2: think the interest rate is all the way down to well,
- 3:19Speaker 2: it's under five percent. And of course, going back to
- 3:24Speaker 2: the Tundra, you can get if you don't take the
- 3:28Speaker 2: financing if you are coming in, let's say as a
- 3:31Speaker 2: cash offer, three thousand dollars cash back on a brand
- 3:34Speaker 2: new Toyota Tundra twenty twenty five Toyota Tundra. Yeah, so
- 3:40Speaker 2: they're kind of flying off the shelves. We have a
- 3:44Speaker 2: couple of new vehicles that are dropping over at Dungeon's
- 3:48Speaker 2: Toyota over the next couple of days. These are going
- 3:52Speaker 2: to go fast. We have two Cienas Toyota Siennas twenty
- 3:57Speaker 2: twenty five is Toyota Sienas that are coming in and
- 4:00Speaker 2: it seems like the Sienas and we also have a
- 4:05Speaker 2: couple of sequoias coming in.
- 4:07Speaker 4: They go fast.
- 4:08Speaker 2: So if you're looking for a big people mover, give
- 4:11Speaker 2: us a call over a Dungeons toyota or just swing
- 4:14Speaker 2: on by.
- 4:15Speaker 4: Yeah, very good. So let's uh, let's talk lip sync.
- 4:22Speaker 1: That's the of the show.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Yeah. So you guys are from Concern. Tell me a
- 4:30Speaker 2: little bit about the organization.
- 4:33Speaker 5: Well, concern. Our full name is Church is United for
- 4:37Speaker 5: Community Concern.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I like that.
- 4:39Speaker 5: Yes, So back in nineteen sixty seven, we're almost sixty
- 4:44Speaker 5: almost there, stay tuned, still old there.
- 4:48Speaker 4: I think we can combine you and get sixty.
- 4:50Speaker 6: You might be surprised, thank you. I'll take that. Well.
- 4:56Speaker 5: Anyway, back in the late sixties, group of individuals with
- 5:01Speaker 5: various churches looked around and saw needs across the town.
- 5:07Speaker 5: There was a needs assessment done and at that time,
- 5:10Speaker 5: you have to remember that we didn't have a whole
- 5:12Speaker 5: lot of welfare programs and entities that could help people.
- 5:18Speaker 5: And these folks got together and they made it happen.
- 5:22Speaker 5: There was a huge range of services that they offered.
- 5:25Speaker 5: We've been digging into the history getting ready for them.
- 5:27Speaker 6: What was it again? Melody Sick?
- 5:29Speaker 5: The anniversary so fun, it's so fun. We've been finding
- 5:33Speaker 5: newspaper clippings and all sorts of things. But anyway, they
- 5:36Speaker 5: made it happen. They got together and they made this
- 5:38Speaker 5: happen for people. But over the years, as into these
- 5:43Speaker 5: came in and built different services concern paid attention, they
- 5:48Speaker 5: continued to assess the needs of the community and they
- 5:51Speaker 5: evolved with the times. So now we offer food assistants,
- 5:56Speaker 5: financial assistance, and pay services.
- 6:00Speaker 4: Is some pay services? Tell me tell me a little
- 6:02Speaker 4: bit about that.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Well, you know, sometimes people hit a point in their
- 6:06Speaker 5: lives where.
- 6:09Speaker 6: They may not.
- 6:10Speaker 5: Handle their money quite so well and they need a
- 6:12Speaker 5: little help with that.
- 6:16Speaker 4: For that is that's pretty impressive.
- 6:20Speaker 7: You're on a disability and it just deems you need
- 6:23Speaker 7: somebody to kind of make sure your bills get paid
- 6:26Speaker 7: and things like that.
- 6:27Speaker 6: We have an awesome page.
- 6:29Speaker 4: Is really cool.
- 6:31Speaker 7: Is way more patient than I would ever be?
- 6:33Speaker 4: And I.
- 6:39Speaker 6: Yes.
- 6:43Speaker 4: So how many clients do you guys serve.
- 6:46Speaker 6: In the average month.
- 6:48Speaker 7: We can serve about four hundred to six hundred families.
- 6:53Speaker 7: And when I say families, you know it's you know,
- 6:55Speaker 7: one person or ten. We have a few larger families.
- 7:00Speaker 7: We're just here to help, you know, for that week
- 7:03Speaker 7: or so that you know, you're paydays like seven days
- 7:06Speaker 7: from now and I'm out of food or you know,
- 7:09Speaker 7: I got behind in a bill, and you know, we
- 7:12Speaker 7: definitely we work with people. We work the Salvation Army
- 7:15Speaker 7: is one of our really good partners. That somebody has
- 7:18Speaker 7: got a really outrageous bill, they'll take some of it.
- 7:20Speaker 7: We can take some of it.
- 7:22Speaker 4: So do the bills tend to be household or medical or.
- 7:29Speaker 7: It's power, you know, water, you know, mainly your utility bills.
- 7:35Speaker 7: We do do some prescriptions as long as they're not anarquotic.
- 7:39Speaker 7: And we do do IDs if somebody needs an ID
- 7:44Speaker 7: to get a job interview. We've had somebody come in
- 7:47Speaker 7: and we've started with an ID and now they're working,
- 7:49Speaker 7: and you know, they'll come in and you know, hey,
- 7:52Speaker 7: I got some stuff and we have free produce every day,
- 7:55Speaker 7: so it doesn't matter. You don't have to sign in.
- 7:57Speaker 7: You can just come in and get some free produce.
- 7:58Speaker 2: Well that's what I was going to ask. If somebody's
- 8:01Speaker 2: in need, how do they plug in?
- 8:03Speaker 6: We're open Monday through Thursday eleven.
- 8:05Speaker 7: We like to take our last food order at two fifteen,
- 8:09Speaker 7: but you know, for a bill, we're usually up until
- 8:11Speaker 7: about two thirty okay, and you just come in.
- 8:14Speaker 6: We'll get you signed up. We have a website.
- 8:16Speaker 7: It's Concerned Cares with an s dot com and it
- 8:20Speaker 7: gives you everything that we need to bring in to
- 8:25Speaker 7: get your household started.
- 8:26Speaker 2: So this is this is you know, I think people
- 8:30Speaker 2: often fall in a little crack. There's there, there's sometimes
- 8:34Speaker 2: there's a misstep. 're just something that comes at you
- 8:37Speaker 2: in life. And I read a step a couple of
- 8:41Speaker 2: weeks ago that sixty percent of Americans are living paycheck
- 8:45Speaker 2: to paycheck and.
- 8:46Speaker 4: That's chu away from being in trouble.
- 8:48Speaker 6: Yeah, and that's what people do.
- 8:50Speaker 7: And sometimes people wait too long because their bill will
- 8:53Speaker 7: get too high, and then they're like, you know, I
- 8:56Speaker 7: wish you would have come in earlier.
- 8:57Speaker 6: And I don't know how many times we think that
- 8:59Speaker 6: just to concern.
- 9:00Speaker 7: So I wish you would have come in a little
- 9:01Speaker 7: earlier because we could have helped and then you wouldn't
- 9:03Speaker 7: be so far behind.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Yeah, this is Uh.
- 9:06Speaker 2: It seems like you're there for people who who just
- 9:10Speaker 2: need need to fill that gap.
- 9:12Speaker 7: We're filling a gap with a food. You know, it'll
- 9:15Speaker 7: feed you for about a week.
- 9:17Speaker 1: We do.
- 9:19Speaker 7: We delivered a three senior citizen apartment complexes here in town.
- 9:24Speaker 4: That's wonderful.
- 9:26Speaker 7: So once some month we take out groceries. We call
- 9:28Speaker 7: them and take some groceries out to them, so that
- 9:31Speaker 7: way they you know, if they're home bound, they might
- 9:34Speaker 7: necessarily be homebound, but you know, thinking about getting all
- 9:37Speaker 7: those groceries.
- 9:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 4: So we've got the battle in Bartlesfill coming up.
- 9:44Speaker 2: We do which to me, you know, it's it's not karaoke,
- 9:49Speaker 2: but it's it's close.
- 9:51Speaker 7: We have had some let's see, we've had so many
- 9:54Speaker 7: do Bruno Mars. We have a group of ladies that
- 9:57Speaker 7: when last year, they're going to come back this year.
- 9:59Speaker 6: I I would love.
- 10:02Speaker 7: We've got five acts right now and one of our
- 10:05Speaker 7: acts kind of had a had an injury, so she
- 10:08Speaker 7: can't do it, but we would love for a group
- 10:11Speaker 7: of gentlemen to decide they want to do it.
- 10:13Speaker 6: Okay, So come on, guys, I know you're out there wondering, if.
- 10:17Speaker 4: You're kind of wondering what we're talking about.
- 10:19Speaker 2: This is a this is the Penn Ultimate Lip Sync Contest,
- 10:24Speaker 2: and it is it is risky. The person that dropped
- 10:27Speaker 2: out you were telling me earlier, terrible lip injury.
- 10:30Speaker 4: I have never heard of it.
- 10:32Speaker 6: It's a little lower for foot.
- 10:33Speaker 4: Spring spring lip Tom. Yeah, really, I've had that.
- 10:41Speaker 2: So if somebody wants to put together a lip sync team,
- 10:47Speaker 2: tell me what's involved.
- 10:48Speaker 7: So we just need a three minute, three and a
- 10:51Speaker 7: half minute song and as long as it's not too risky.
- 10:55Speaker 7: But you know, I mean, we did have I'm So
- 10:58Speaker 7: Sexy the first year, so I don't think it has
- 11:01Speaker 7: to be too bad. But yeah, just Concern Cares. You
- 11:05Speaker 7: can call Concern our phone numbers nine three six for
- 11:10Speaker 7: six nine three. I always forget that, always mix it up.
- 11:14Speaker 7: And it's September the twenty seventh at six o'clock.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Where is it being held.
- 11:19Speaker 6: We're going to be at the Hilton.
- 11:21Speaker 4: Oh that's great. That's great.
- 11:22Speaker 6: It's fun. They've got some and we'll have Dean. Who's
- 11:29Speaker 6: the barbecue. I just love No not Dean's the butcher Prices.
- 11:37Speaker 7: I'm so sorry Dean No Prices is donating the meat.
- 11:42Speaker 2: So for that, I'm going to go directly to Price
- 11:46Speaker 2: Meets after this and stock up.
- 11:48Speaker 6: Well, it's very it's delicious. He gives us pulled pork
- 11:50Speaker 6: and he's done it for the last three years.
- 11:52Speaker 4: They are such nice people Over there.
- 11:54Speaker 7: Dean is an absolute angel and I believe he's going
- 11:57Speaker 7: to be one of our celebrity judges. This.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Oh no, that's great. Quickly, So is there is there
- 12:02Speaker 4: an entry fee?
- 12:03Speaker 6: There's no entry fee.
- 12:04Speaker 7: We just asked you to come and put on a
- 12:06Speaker 7: good show for about five minutes and you know with
- 12:10Speaker 7: Fija that is great.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Okay.
- 12:11Speaker 2: So the night of the performance is the twenty seven
- 12:14Speaker 2: seventh at six at the Hilton.
- 12:18Speaker 4: How do you How do you get tickets for that?
- 12:21Speaker 6: You that?
- 12:22Speaker 7: You can go online to our website. You can buy them.
- 12:24Speaker 7: You can come by a concern and write us a check.
- 12:26Speaker 7: They're seventy five dollars a ticket. With Fija you get
- 12:30Speaker 7: two free drinks.
- 12:32Speaker 4: And entertainment and entertainment dinner and new show is.
- 12:35Speaker 6: The dinner and a show exactly.
- 12:37Speaker 4: I love that. So is this your primary funding source
- 12:42Speaker 4: or what?
- 12:43Speaker 6: This is our biggest fundraiser.
- 12:45Speaker 7: We are still, almost sixty years later, mainly funded.
- 12:49Speaker 6: By our churches.
- 12:51Speaker 7: That's where our churches give us a lot of you know,
- 12:54Speaker 7: they collect and bring it to us.
- 12:56Speaker 2: So well, and the idea and you know, whoever organized
- 13:02Speaker 2: this sixty years ago was pretty forward thinking that the
- 13:05Speaker 2: idea of churches coming together. It seems like working together
- 13:11Speaker 2: they would make more of an impact than each of
- 13:14Speaker 2: them having their own program.
- 13:15Speaker 6: And it always well.
- 13:16Speaker 7: And they realized that that they could pull their money
- 13:19Speaker 7: and make a bigger impact on the on the county
- 13:22Speaker 7: because we service Washington County. It's not just Bartsville, so
- 13:25Speaker 7: you can go all the way to Vera, all the
- 13:26Speaker 7: way to Copan, and we have people from.
- 13:30Speaker 6: So you know, it's a pretty it's amazing.
- 13:33Speaker 7: To see the people pulled in the different religions because
- 13:37Speaker 7: you've got you know, we've got like Saint James, and
- 13:40Speaker 7: you know we have Baptists and Presbyterians and you know,
- 13:44Speaker 7: it's just amazing.
- 13:45Speaker 8: And we all get along when it comes to feeding
- 13:47Speaker 8: people and taking care of our breath.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Well, I think that's the bottom line everything. Yeah, so
- 13:53Speaker 2: this is a great organization. As you're putting together your
- 13:58Speaker 2: information for the six have you have you come across?
- 14:03Speaker 4: Is it a way of counting how many families you've
- 14:05Speaker 4: touched over the years.
- 14:07Speaker 6: We haven't found that information yet. It'll be interesting.
- 14:10Speaker 7: We were still I haven't quite got into the board
- 14:13Speaker 7: minutes yet, so.
- 14:17Speaker 4: It's it's got to be thousands. Yeah, Well, just.
- 14:22Speaker 6: Some of the organizations.
- 14:23Speaker 7: You know.
- 14:23Speaker 6: I mean we originally started as a food pantry in daycare.
- 14:27Speaker 4: Oh wow.
- 14:27Speaker 7: You know we were the only daycare on the west
- 14:29Speaker 7: side of town that would service black people or any
- 14:36Speaker 7: you know, that's the that's some of this.
- 14:38Speaker 4: This is sixty years ago. Things have changed.
- 14:41Speaker 6: You know.
- 14:42Speaker 7: Me being probably one of the youngest people that work
- 14:45Speaker 7: at Concern, I was amazed that that was the some
- 14:48Speaker 7: of the reason they started because it was like, really
- 14:51Speaker 7: because you know, what a big bill to.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Be you know, this is again a very good thing that. Yeah,
- 14:58Speaker 2: some things have changed.
- 14:59Speaker 7: Over the last Yes, it's amazing some of the things
- 15:01Speaker 7: that you know, Concern kind of started and just kind
- 15:05Speaker 7: of okay, you can keep running that we're going to
- 15:08Speaker 7: go to the next thing that he's done.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Well that that is why you guys are sixty years old.
- 15:13Speaker 2: Is that flexibility and the ability to change. And I
- 15:18Speaker 2: believe me, I work in an organization that's coming up
- 15:22Speaker 2: on ninety five years.
- 15:24Speaker 6: Yeah, has been around forever.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Yeah, Brad is on this radio show often talking about
- 15:31Speaker 2: the need for flexibility and the ability to change just
- 15:35Speaker 2: to survive.
- 15:37Speaker 7: And I think last year when we were talking to Brad,
- 15:40Speaker 7: Brad said his mom was in the beginning stage.
- 15:43Speaker 4: I think I think his grandmother, yeah, grandmother. I think
- 15:46Speaker 4: his grandmother was very involved.
- 15:48Speaker 7: Yeah, and see, those are the stories I hope to
- 15:53Speaker 7: get from people. You know, Hey, my grandmother was on
- 15:56Speaker 7: the board or you know, I remember as a kid
- 15:58Speaker 7: going to you know, concern and helping grandma or mom
- 16:03Speaker 7: or whatever.
- 16:03Speaker 6: Those are the stories that would help eventually to get
- 16:06Speaker 6: a hold.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah, it'd be interesting to find a couple of kids
- 16:08Speaker 2: who are in the daycare.
- 16:10Speaker 6: Yeah it would.
- 16:12Speaker 4: Yeah, no, it really would. We have had grandkids. Yeah,
- 16:15Speaker 4: but I remember my daycare.
- 16:19Speaker 2: I'm sixty two and I remember missus Rose and what
- 16:24Speaker 2: an impact she had on me. So these are the
- 16:27Speaker 2: kinds of things that form and shape young people that
- 16:32Speaker 2: last throughout their lives. And So if somebody wants to
- 16:37Speaker 2: plug in, if you're not a lip syncer, but you
- 16:42Speaker 2: want to volunteer or you want to donate, how do
- 16:45Speaker 2: you plug into the organization so.
- 16:47Speaker 7: You can always come by when we're open. I mean,
- 16:49Speaker 7: we have volunteer forums. We actually have a very loyal
- 16:54Speaker 7: group of twenty three volunteers that come in weekly.
- 16:59Speaker 6: But I'm always needing groups. Uh, you know, we.
- 17:03Speaker 7: Are in the trenches every day, and so you don't
- 17:06Speaker 7: think about stuff that doesn't get done, like cleaning, or
- 17:08Speaker 7: the shelves need cleaned or you know, stuff like that.
- 17:11Speaker 7: So if you have a group that want to come in,
- 17:13Speaker 7: you know, church group, men's group, a little boy scoutsoots,
- 17:19Speaker 7: girl Scouts, it's same difference. Come in and we'll find
- 17:22Speaker 7: you something to do. I promise there's always something to do.
- 17:25Speaker 7: If you want to donate, you can always go to
- 17:27Speaker 7: the concerncares dot com.
- 17:29Speaker 6: There's a tab for donation.
- 17:31Speaker 7: You can drop a check in the post office or
- 17:34Speaker 7: the box out front.
- 17:36Speaker 6: We will take anything. I will take peanut butter.
- 17:42Speaker 4: They do go definitely.
- 17:44Speaker 6: Nobody turns down peanut butter.
- 17:45Speaker 1: No.
- 17:46Speaker 6: Nobody turns down a jar peanut butter.
- 17:48Speaker 1: No.
- 17:48Speaker 2: No do you so with the supplies, are you buying
- 17:52Speaker 2: all of those wholesale or how does that work?
- 17:54Speaker 7: So we we we partner with the Tulsa Food Bank,
- 17:58Speaker 7: the Eastern Knucklahoma.
- 18:00Speaker 6: I get good friends, yes, good good friends.
- 18:03Speaker 7: They give us some food and if it's free, they
- 18:06Speaker 7: can find some cheaper. Sometimes our churches again still donate.
- 18:11Speaker 7: We send them a list every month. You know, I
- 18:13Speaker 7: think the last three months it's been canned meat.
- 18:16Speaker 4: It has been.
- 18:17Speaker 8: It has because they tell us at the end of service.
- 18:22Speaker 8: You know what I mean, canned meat.
- 18:24Speaker 7: Tuna, vienna, sausages, canned chicken. I mean what the churches
- 18:29Speaker 7: have been supplying the last couple of three months.
- 18:31Speaker 6: Is what we've been. I mean, they come, it comes in,
- 18:33Speaker 6: it goes out.
- 18:34Speaker 7: It's that's something that the food Bank hasn't had recently.
- 18:39Speaker 4: Are you seeing an uptick in a clientele or is it.
- 18:42Speaker 7: We're about steady from last year actually, which is a
- 18:46Speaker 7: good thing, not necessarily a bad thing.
- 18:49Speaker 6: But we still get new ones.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Every day as others are getting back on their feet.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Some are they're sort of a rotation of people and there.
- 18:59Speaker 7: Is well and you know, some people will come in
- 19:02Speaker 7: and they come in and get a utility assistance and
- 19:04Speaker 7: they might come get food once or twice. They don't necessarily,
- 19:08Speaker 7: you know, you have the people that come in and
- 19:10Speaker 7: I need it, but I'm not going to come in
- 19:13Speaker 7: unless I absolutely die or need it.
- 19:16Speaker 2: So this is yeah, I could see how that would
- 19:21Speaker 2: be a roadblock for some people. The admission that you're
- 19:25Speaker 2: in need is hard.
- 19:27Speaker 7: As I tell people, there are no limits to who
- 19:30Speaker 7: we serve. If you work at Phillips Petroleum as a
- 19:33Speaker 7: VP and you're short a month, come in. It doesn't
- 19:37Speaker 7: matter if you live at Brookhaven and need help that month.
- 19:41Speaker 6: We're here to serve all.
- 19:42Speaker 4: Okay, that is so pretty cool.
- 19:45Speaker 7: Yeah, we don't. There's no limits. I keep and we
- 19:49Speaker 7: tell people that there's no limits. Everybody gets in trouble.
- 19:52Speaker 7: And like you said, it's two paychecks.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah, you don't want to fall. Don't fall in the crevice,
- 19:59Speaker 2: right because if you're stumbling, make it a crevice, not
- 20:04Speaker 2: a canyon.
- 20:05Speaker 6: Exactly. That's what we can.
- 20:07Speaker 7: We can help a whole lot better when you stumble
- 20:09Speaker 7: instead of when you completely bull.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Throw off the cliff.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's fixed the crack, not the canyon, right exactly.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Yeah, So tell me a little bit more about what
- 20:23Speaker 2: what besides food and cash, what else is needed?
- 20:28Speaker 4: Concern? What? How can other people help?
- 20:31Speaker 1: Well?
- 20:31Speaker 7: We always like so we always can use volunteers. I mean,
- 20:36Speaker 7: even if it's not the day to day volunteers. My volunteers,
- 20:41Speaker 7: as I tell them all the time, you know, take
- 20:45Speaker 7: a vacation. If you need a vacation, just let me know.
- 20:47Speaker 7: If you can't come in, I need people to fill in.
- 20:51Speaker 7: That makes sense, and we're we're hitting Turkey time. I
- 20:54Speaker 7: know people aren't thinking about it yet. It's the middle close.
- 20:58Speaker 7: I've ordered turkeys. We do a special Thanksgiving basket at
- 21:03Speaker 7: Concern and again the churches, so they give a whole
- 21:07Speaker 7: mill you think turkey on down to dessert and whip cream.
- 21:12Speaker 7: I have about twelve churches that do the difference, like
- 21:15Speaker 7: Adam's Boulevard does butter, the whole blocks of butter they
- 21:21Speaker 7: give each family, and we serve about.
- 21:24Speaker 6: Two hundred and twenty five families.
- 21:26Speaker 4: That that is huge.
- 21:27Speaker 6: It is.
- 21:28Speaker 7: And then we do Christmas and well Christmas in July
- 21:31Speaker 7: is when we send our letters out.
- 21:32Speaker 6: We do Christmas presents for kids.
- 21:37Speaker 2: That that is huge. So on the average how many kids.
- 21:41Speaker 7: Last year we were able to do one hundred and
- 21:44Speaker 7: fifty I believe because we do up to fifteen yea.
- 21:48Speaker 2: So yeah, wow, So you're making quite an impact here
- 21:52Speaker 2: in martles Fille. We try this is this is this

- 22:00Speaker 2: other and there are good people like you guys who

- 22:30Speaker 4: Yeah, I think that gave me my bearings.
- 22:32Speaker 6: Yeah I did.
- 22:35Speaker 7: So. But yeah, again, the hours are on the door.
- 22:38Speaker 7: If you're donating stuff and you can't get there, somebody
- 22:42Speaker 7: is usually there to donate about nine o'clock in the mornings.
- 22:48Speaker 7: So there's a back doorbell.
- 22:49Speaker 6: If you're you need to want to donate, please come
- 22:52Speaker 6: back and ring the.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Doorbell, bring a load of groceries or yes, a couple
- 22:57Speaker 2: of frozen turkeys.

- 23:44Speaker 7: I mean, if we go with five, we go with five,
- 23:46Speaker 7: But I still want to see a group of guys
- 23:48Speaker 7: come out and beat those girls.
- 23:50Speaker 4: Is there a trophy.
- 23:52Speaker 6: There is a trophy, and there's a people's choice.
