Latest / The Epstein Chronicles / Mega Edition: Jeffrey Epstein, Jean Luc Brunel And The Mc2 Trap (9/10/26)
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Earlier today, we talked a little bit about the building
- 0:02Speaker 1: that Mark Epstein, Jeffrey Epstein's brother, supposedly owns on 66th
- 0:07Speaker 1: Street in New York. And within that building, we talked
- 0:11Speaker 1: a little bit about how the modeling agency, MC2, which
- 0:16Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein provided the seed money to start up with
- 0:20Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel, well, they also had some apartments there and
- 0:24Speaker 1: an office. Now, I thought that we would add a
- 0:27Speaker 1: little more context to the MC2 angle and talk a
- 0:31Speaker 1: little bit more about their connection to some of the
- 0:34Speaker 1: players within the retail world and some of the bigger
- 0:38Speaker 1: companies that worked with them to provide them models. And
- 0:42Speaker 1: we're not talking about just before Jeffrey Epstein was arrested, folks.
- 0:46Speaker 1: We're talking about after. And it doesn't take more than
- 0:50Speaker 1: a very basic Google search of Jeffrey Epstein and Jean-Luc
- 0:54Speaker 1: Brunel to understand the sort of people you're doing business with.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And my question is, why would these people be involved
- 1:02Speaker 1: with any sort of business ties with a company like
- 1:05Speaker 1: MC2 that has such close connections to Jeffrey Epstein? I mean,
- 1:11Speaker 1: he started the company with the seed money with Brunel.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So of all the modeling agencies out there, why would
- 1:17Speaker 1: these big retailers continue to use a company like MC2?
- 1:22Speaker 1: It boggles my mind and nobody can ever answer those
- 1:25Speaker 1: kinds of questions, right? These companies that we're going to
- 1:28Speaker 1: talk about, they never return emails. They never talk about
- 1:31Speaker 1: what went on. They just figure if they ignore it,
- 1:33Speaker 1: that it'll all go away and people will, you know,
- 1:37Speaker 1: they'll lose interest in it and they'll stop asking questions.
- 1:41Speaker 1: And I guess that's how it works with some of
- 1:43Speaker 1: these outlets in the legacy media, right? The 24-hour news cycle,
- 1:46Speaker 1: they got to have something, you know, something every night
- 1:49Speaker 1: for them to run that's going to, you know, be
- 1:51Speaker 1: a headline grabber. And getting down into the context of
- 1:55Speaker 1: these sort of stories and down into the actual weeds
- 1:59Speaker 1: to learn all of the facts, it doesn't resonate with
- 2:03Speaker 1: these outlets a lot of times. You know, they do
- 2:06Speaker 1: drive-by coverage and they leave it up to us, the audience,
- 2:10Speaker 1: or independent content creators to chase down the rest of
- 2:14Speaker 1: the story, to figure out the context, to figure out
- 2:17Speaker 1: the nuance of it. And so that's what we're going
- 2:20Speaker 1: to do tonight. We're going to add a little more
- 2:21Speaker 1: context to MC2, and we're going to talk about just
- 2:25Speaker 1: how prevalent they were working with some of the biggest
- 2:28Speaker 1: retailers in the business. This article was published by Business Insider,
- 2:35Speaker 1: and the headline is, Major retailers including Nordstrom, Macy's, and
- 2:39Speaker 1: JCPenney's reportedly joined Victoria's Secret in using a modeling agency
- 2:45Speaker 1: with ties to Jeffrey Epstein. This article was published by
- 2:49Speaker 1: Bethany Biron and it came out on August 19th, 2019.
- 2:54Speaker 1: It's a good question. Why would these retailers do business
- 3:00Speaker 1: with an agency that has ties to Epstein? And it's
- 3:02Speaker 1: not like Epstein was operating completely in the dark where
- 3:06Speaker 1: nobody knew who he was or had any idea that
- 3:09Speaker 1: he was involved with MC2 or Jean-Luc Brunel. It wasn't
- 3:13Speaker 1: like people didn't know that. So how could they possibly
- 3:16Speaker 1: use that excuse? Oh, we didn't know what he was
- 3:19Speaker 1: involved in or we had no idea the scope of
- 3:21Speaker 1: the crimes. It's such a cop-out. It's such BS. And
- 3:25Speaker 1: all of these companies that were involved with these people,
- 3:28Speaker 1: they should be called out on that. That shouldn't be
- 3:30Speaker 1: allowed to fly because it's a cop-out and it's BS.
- 3:37Speaker 1: In the wake of Jeffrey Epstein's death, discoveries of his
- 3:39Speaker 1: wide-ranging ties to the retail industry only continue to grow.
- 3:44Speaker 1: And again, I don't know how much of a discovery
- 3:46Speaker 1: it was, right? How can people not know that Jeffrey
- 3:49Speaker 1: Epstein and Jean-Luc Brunel were very tight and they were close,
- 3:53Speaker 1: they were business associates, and that Epstein ceded the original
- 3:57Speaker 1: million dollars to get this company off the ground? How
- 4:00Speaker 1: do people not know that? A basic Google search... We'll
- 4:03Speaker 1: show you that. All of these companies, they're not wise
- 4:07Speaker 1: enough to do some basic research on people they're going
- 4:10Speaker 1: into business with, people that are going to represent their brand.
- 4:13Speaker 1: You're telling me they're not that smart? Well, if that's
- 4:16Speaker 1: the case, then it's no wonder that all of these
- 4:18Speaker 1: brick-and-mortar retailers are going out of business because if they
- 4:22Speaker 1: can't figure out that Jeffrey Epstein's a scumbag and Jean-Luc
- 4:25Speaker 1: Brunel is no better, well, I don't know how they're
- 4:28Speaker 1: going to balance a budget. Bloomberg reported on Monday that
- 4:33Speaker 1: MC2 Model Management, the modeling agency accused of supplying underage
- 4:38Speaker 1: women to Epstein's alleged sex trafficking operation, worked with several
- 4:42Speaker 1: major retailers beyond Victoria's Secret. And, you know, it's par
- 4:48Speaker 1: for the course. Anyone who thinks that Jeffrey Epstein didn't
- 4:52Speaker 1: have ties to all of these people... They're being very naive.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Anybody who was a power player in New York City,
- 4:59Speaker 1: at the very least, bumped shoulders with Epstein at some point.
- 5:02Speaker 1: He was ensconced in those circles. He was always around
- 5:05Speaker 1: the polite society crowd that I'm always talking about. He
- 5:08Speaker 1: was always, always around those kinds of people. So the
- 5:13Speaker 1: executives who work for these companies... You mean to tell
- 5:16Speaker 1: me that these executives have no idea what sort of
- 5:19Speaker 1: animal Jean-Luc Brunel is, or the sort of animal Jeffrey
- 5:22Speaker 1: Epstein was, considering during the 80s there was a special
- 5:26Speaker 1: run in the United States about Jean-Luc Brunel raping models?
- 5:30Speaker 1: So you're going to tell me that nobody had the
- 5:34Speaker 1: good sense to do some research into the people that
- 5:37Speaker 1: you're going into business with. It's either that you're too
- 5:41Speaker 1: inept to even do basic research or you knew the
- 5:44Speaker 1: score and you just didn't care. According to a letter
- 5:49Speaker 1: sent to Bloomberg by Brunel's business partner, Jeff Fuller, MC2' s
- 5:53Speaker 1: client roster also included Nordstrom, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, JCPenney, Kohl's, Target, Sears,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and Belk. Fuller said he had warned MC2 owner Jean-Luc
- 6:07Speaker 1: Brunel about Brunel's ties to Epstein, writing in the letter
- 6:11Speaker 1: that he told Brunel in 2014 that he had received
- 6:14Speaker 1: a tremendous amount of worry from our clients. Just about Epstein, though?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Come on. That's ridiculous. Again, I just said that Brunel
- 6:24Speaker 1: was accused of rape on American television, on, I forget
- 6:27Speaker 1: what it was, Dateline or Primetime TV, whatever the show
- 6:30Speaker 1: was in the 80s. It escapes my mind right now.
- 6:33Speaker 1: But he was accused on that show of raping models.
- 6:37Speaker 1: He's been accused of all sorts of disgusting acts throughout
- 6:41Speaker 1: his whole entire career as a modeling scout. And for his, uh...
- 6:46Speaker 1: partner here Mr. Fuller to say oh well I warned
- 6:49Speaker 1: him about the ties to Epstein well what about your
- 6:51Speaker 1: ties to Brunel and Brunel being an epic scumbag as
- 6:55Speaker 1: well so I you know it's uh pretty gross any
- 6:59Speaker 1: way you chop it here's an idea you shouldn't be
- 7:01Speaker 1: involved with anyone like John Luke Brunel or Jeffrey Epstein
- 7:05Speaker 1: in any capacity personal or business related Brunel's connection to
- 7:12Speaker 1: Epstein stems from at least 2002, when flight logs show
- 7:16Speaker 1: Brunel flew from Florida to the Bahamas on Epstein's private plane.
- 7:22Speaker 1: Brunel also reportedly visited Epstein in jail while the pedophile
- 7:27Speaker 1: was serving a 13-month sentence for his involvement in an
- 7:30Speaker 1: underage prostitution case in 2008. Again, I must point out,
- 7:35Speaker 1: underage girls cannot be prostitutes, okay? Why these articles would
- 7:41Speaker 1: write these pieces like that is beyond me. And you
- 7:44Speaker 1: see a lot more of it back in the beginning
- 7:48Speaker 1: of the case when these articles were first coming out.
- 7:51Speaker 1: You see them use that kind of language a lot
- 7:53Speaker 1: more than they do now. So at least it's a
- 7:55Speaker 1: step in the right direction. But it always bothers me
- 7:57Speaker 1: when I see that. Underage prostitution. There's zero chance that
- 8:02Speaker 1: that can occur, okay? And as far as Brunel goes,
- 8:05Speaker 1: visiting Jeffrey Epstein while he was in jail, not only that,
- 8:08Speaker 1: there's all sorts of talk that he was living inside
- 8:11Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein's Palm Beach mansion while Epstein was in the Huskow.
- 8:15Speaker 1: So again, I find it ridiculous that these huge, gigantic
- 8:21Speaker 1: corporations that background check their employees even, didn't have the
- 8:26Speaker 1: good sense to background check people they were getting into
- 8:28Speaker 1: business with. really what it comes down to, and in
- 8:31Speaker 1: my opinion what it is, they don't care. The end
- 8:34Speaker 1: of the day, money makes the world go round, and
- 8:36Speaker 1: being involved with somebody like Epstein and Brunel, if that
- 8:39Speaker 1: can elevate your brand, or you can get models cheaper,
- 8:42Speaker 1: or whatever it may be, hey, go for it. That's
- 8:44Speaker 1: all these executives care about. These people don't care about
- 8:47Speaker 1: you or I. These are the robber barons that I'm
- 8:50Speaker 1: talking about. These dudes are funding our feudal lords, aka
- 8:54Speaker 1: our politicians. And everybody's just okay with it. Everybody's walking around,
- 9:00Speaker 1: heading the clouds. No big deal. And it was like
- 9:05Speaker 1: that for a long time because the media was gaslighting
- 9:08Speaker 1: the hell out of everybody. The media was continuously running
- 9:11Speaker 1: all kinds of BS narratives. And now that people can
- 9:15Speaker 1: connect with each other and they can get news from
- 9:17Speaker 1: other places, that stuff is over, right? Nobody's falling for
- 9:22Speaker 1: their BS anymore. It's not clear how extensively or for
- 9:28Speaker 1: how long the retailers worked with MC2, but the connections
- 9:32Speaker 1: draw fresh scrutiny to the relationship retailers have with the
- 9:35Speaker 1: modeling industry, which is largely unregulated, Bloomberg wrote. We've talked
- 9:41Speaker 1: about that in some previous articles as well. There's like
- 9:44Speaker 1: zero regulation within that industry. And I'm certainly not some
- 9:48Speaker 1: sort of expert on the fashion industry or the modeling industry,
- 9:52Speaker 1: but there needs to be some sort of oversight and
- 9:54Speaker 1: some sort of regulation that provides some protection for these
- 9:58Speaker 1: young girls. These are very vulnerable young girls, right? They're
- 10:00Speaker 1: already wearing skimpy clothing in some aspects, you know, doing
- 10:04Speaker 1: swimsuit modeling or whatever it may be. And they're being
- 10:08Speaker 1: vulnerable in that regard. And they're also vulnerable to these
- 10:11Speaker 1: sick-ass predators like Brunel. So there has to be some
- 10:14Speaker 1: sort of oversight, in my opinion, especially with underage girls,
- 10:17Speaker 1: like a parent on set all times. I don't know.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Whatever it may be, there's people smarter than me that
- 10:22Speaker 1: can come up with that. But in my opinion, there
- 10:24Speaker 1: has to be some sort of oversight with these modeling agencies.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Retailers often work with several modeling agencies using a casting
- 10:32Speaker 1: director to determine who to book for fashion shows, catalog shoots,
- 10:37Speaker 1: and other projects. I think that would be pretty interesting
- 10:40Speaker 1: to find out just exactly who the casting director is
- 10:45Speaker 1: for MC2 or was for MC2 during all of this.
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'm going to look into that and see what I
- 10:50Speaker 1: can come up with. Bloomberg reported that a Nordstrom executive
- 10:56Speaker 1: was involved in sponsoring Brunel's application for an O-1 visa.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Isn't that nice? Well, there you go. There's your tie.
- 11:02Speaker 1: So you're telling me this lady sponsored Brunel, right? This
- 11:06Speaker 1: executive sponsors Brunel and she has no idea who he is,
- 11:09Speaker 1: what he's up to, what he's been accused of in
- 11:12Speaker 1: the past, what he's still doing, the company he keeps.
- 11:14Speaker 1: She had no idea, huh? Pretty interesting. According to the U.S.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Citizenship and Immigration Services, this work permit is granted to
- 11:23Speaker 1: the individual who possesses extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business,
- 11:30Speaker 1: or athletics, or who has demonstrated record of extraordinary achievement
- 11:34Speaker 1: in the motion picture or television industry and has been
- 11:38Speaker 1: recognized nationally or internationally for those achievements. I mean, really?
- 11:43Speaker 1: This is who you sponsor? Nordstrom executive? This is who
- 11:46Speaker 1: you step out onto the ledge for? This is who
- 11:49Speaker 1: you vouch for? I mean, it's unbelievable. So she's going
- 11:55Speaker 1: to come forward and vouch for this clown when everybody
- 12:00Speaker 1: knows who he is and then MC2 is also going
- 12:04Speaker 1: to get business from Nordstrom's where this person sits on
- 12:06Speaker 1: the board? I mean, come on. According to Bloomberg, Nordstrom
- 12:14Speaker 1: last worked with MC2 in January 2017, though the retailer
- 12:19Speaker 1: declined to comment for the story. Of course they didn't comment.
- 12:22Speaker 1: They know that they look like garbage in this instance.
- 12:26Speaker 1: They know that working with Jeffrey Epstein's partner all the
- 12:28Speaker 1: way up till 2017 is not a good look, so
- 12:32Speaker 1: they'll just keep quiet. They'll just be silent about everything.
- 12:37Speaker 1: And they'll try and wait it out, like I said. Meanwhile...
- 12:41Speaker 1: Everybody understands, everybody knows that these retailers, these executives, these
- 12:46Speaker 1: board members, they don't care about the rest of us.
- 12:49Speaker 1: They don't care about nothing but increasing their power and
- 12:52Speaker 1: making more money. It's pathetic, honestly. Look, I'm not somebody
- 12:56Speaker 1: that knocks people for success. I think that the fact
- 13:00Speaker 1: that all of us in the United States of America
- 13:03Speaker 1: especially are able to chase their dreams whichever way they want,
- 13:06Speaker 1: and then if you succeed, you're able to cash in
- 13:08Speaker 1: on those dreams. I think that's a good thing. But
- 13:10Speaker 1: at what point do you get rid of your moral
- 13:13Speaker 1: compass in a... in place of greed, right? Where do
- 13:19Speaker 1: you trade your moral compass for greed? You see it
- 13:23Speaker 1: time and time again in these stories we talk about
- 13:25Speaker 1: with these executives, these billionaires, and it's just, it's gross.
- 13:28Speaker 1: It's just so gross. I'm just skeptical. At this point,
- 13:32Speaker 1: if you're part of New York's so-called polite society and
- 13:35Speaker 1: you're super rich, I am absolutely skeptical of who you are.
- 13:39Speaker 1: And I believe that the onus is on you to
- 13:41Speaker 1: prove you're not a scumbag at this point. Because everything
- 13:44Speaker 1: we have read leading up to this point, all of
- 13:47Speaker 1: the articles that, and mind you, these are the articles
- 13:50Speaker 1: that the mainstream outlets are producing that we read on
- 13:54Speaker 1: the podcast. We're not searching out some sort of obscure
- 13:57Speaker 1: article on InfoWars or some other crazy ass site. We
- 13:59Speaker 1: don't do that here, right? So we're using their own articles. And,
- 14:04Speaker 1: you know, it's crazy to see. It's just crazy to
- 14:07Speaker 1: see how this whole thing has unfolded as we've covered it.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Business Insider did not immediately receive responses to requests for
- 14:17Speaker 1: comment from Nordstrom's, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, JCPenney, Kohl's, Target, Sears,
- 14:24Speaker 1: and Belk. Yeah, again, like I said a second ago,
- 14:28Speaker 1: there's no way they're going to answer because they know
- 14:30Speaker 1: they're going to look bad. It's a bad look for
- 14:32Speaker 1: them and they want nothing to do with looking that terrible.
- 14:35Speaker 1: The optics are already bad, but if you open your mouth,
- 14:38Speaker 1: you just make things much worse. Just ask Prince Andrew,
- 14:41Speaker 1: aka the Joe Exotic of the Windsor family, how that
- 14:45Speaker 1: worked out for him. Victoria's Secret has already been embroiled
- 14:51Speaker 1: in controversy after news arose that L Brand's CEO, ex-CEO,
- 14:56Speaker 1: boy it feels good to say that, huh? Les Wexner
- 14:58Speaker 1: had ties to Epstein and had formerly employed the pedophile
- 15:02Speaker 1: as his money manager. Though Wexner claims to have severed
- 15:06Speaker 1: ties with Epstein 12 years ago, Victoria's Secret continued to
- 15:10Speaker 1: use MC2 models in its 2015 fashion show as well
- 15:15Speaker 1: in catalog and website photography. Oh, I bet you that
- 15:20Speaker 1: would be an interesting look for a forensic accountant, huh?
- 15:24Speaker 1: How much of that money funneled back to Jeffrey Epstein?
- 15:26Speaker 1: How much of that money was washed? How much of
- 15:29Speaker 1: that money was legit? How much of that money was taxed?
- 15:32Speaker 1: How much of that money can be traced back to
- 15:34Speaker 1: good old Wes Wexner, him and his wife and their
- 15:38Speaker 1: charities and all of the other nonsense that Jeffrey Epstein
- 15:41Speaker 1: was involved in? How much of this money can be
- 15:44Speaker 1: traced back there? Because like I told you several times now,
- 15:49Speaker 1: if you trace the drugs, you find the drug dealer.
- 15:53Speaker 1: If you trace the money... You find the distributor and
- 15:57Speaker 1: whoever else is involved at the top. And the same
- 16:00Speaker 1: works here. You got to follow that money. Follow the money.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And if you follow the money, you're going to eventually
- 16:06Speaker 1: come to a place where you're going to expose the
- 16:09Speaker 1: whole entire thing. If you'd like to contact me, you
- 16:14Speaker 1: can do that at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com.
- 16:23Speaker 1: We're going to keep pulling on this Jean-Luc Brunel thread,
- 16:26Speaker 1: and today we're going to talk about his ties to
- 16:29Speaker 1: Steve Mnuchin. Steve Mnuchin is currently the Treasury Secretary in
- 16:35Speaker 1: Donald Trump's administration, and a guy that has... always run
- 16:41Speaker 1: in these circles, right? He was producing movies, always had
- 16:44Speaker 1: big bucks, and has always been rubbing elbows with people
- 16:47Speaker 1: in so-called polite society. But isn't it strange that so
- 16:52Speaker 1: many people in so-called polite society have these ties to
- 16:57Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and his toad-ass associates? It's all just a
- 17:02Speaker 1: big coincidence though, right? That's what they would have you believe.
- 17:06Speaker 1: But in reality, folks... both sides of the aisle, all
- 17:11Speaker 1: of our leaders, everybody held up on a pedestal, seems
- 17:15Speaker 1: to be a scumbag. And the sooner we understand that
- 17:19Speaker 1: as a populace, the sooner we stop arguing with each
- 17:23Speaker 1: other about which turd smells less like shit, the better
- 17:27Speaker 1: off we're all going to be. But as of now,
- 17:30Speaker 1: we've fallen right into their trap. They want you to
- 17:33Speaker 1: hate your neighbor. They want you to hate your cousin.
- 17:36Speaker 1: They want you to hate your friends. All for what reason?
- 17:40Speaker 1: So we're easier to control. That's what this is all about, folks.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Do you doubt it? We're talking about the CIA here, okay?
- 17:48Speaker 1: The same people who brought in Japanese scientists who were
- 17:56Speaker 1: engaging in biological experiments on human beings. Look up Unit 731.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Now what about... All of the Nazis that they brought
- 18:07Speaker 1: in to help them out. And they just expunged all
- 18:09Speaker 1: their records. Because guess what? It's for the greater good.
- 18:12Speaker 1: The means justifies the end. And we see it over
- 18:17Speaker 1: and over again throughout history. These are the same people.
- 18:22Speaker 1: The CIA. The intelligence agencies. The FBI. Our politicians. That
- 18:27Speaker 1: were okay with bringing in these war criminals from Japan
- 18:31Speaker 1: and Germany. Because, you know, the greater good and all.
- 18:35Speaker 1: These are the same people that are busy protecting Jeffrey
- 18:39Speaker 1: Epstein throughout the decades. So, again, they don't have a
- 18:43Speaker 1: track record of being honest or honorable, the intelligence agencies.
- 18:48Speaker 1: In fact, it's the complete opposite. And then you add
- 18:51Speaker 1: in all of these dumbass rich billionaires that are so
- 18:56Speaker 1: willing to be involved with these scumbags, and you have
- 19:01Speaker 1: a recipe for disaster. And that is exactly where we are, folks.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Both sides of the aisle, both groups of politicians, and
- 19:10Speaker 1: everybody in between is busy gaslighting us. They're so concerned
- 19:20Speaker 1: about making sure that the populace is always looking for
- 19:23Speaker 1: a boogeyman so that we don't see what they're doing
- 19:28Speaker 1: behind the curtains. And when you read articles like this
- 19:34Speaker 1: with Steve Mnuchin, Acosta, then on the other side you have,
- 19:39Speaker 1: you know, Bill Clinton, you have Ron Burkle, it goes
- 19:43Speaker 1: on and on, right? The point is, if you're sitting
- 19:49Speaker 1: at the buffet alone, of confirmation bias, especially with this case,
- 19:53Speaker 1: and you think it's just one side or the other,
- 19:56Speaker 1: you are doing yourself a disservice and you are doing
- 19:59Speaker 1: the case a disservice. Both sides of the aisle, Democrat, Republican,
- 20:06Speaker 1: And all of the intelligence services and all of their minions,
- 20:11Speaker 1: they all hold responsibility for what happened in this Jeffrey
- 20:16Speaker 1: Epstein case. Remember, folks, four different presidencies this has happened under.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Four administrations. And still no arrests. Well, today is Steve
- 20:32Speaker 1: Mnuchin's turn. to have the spotlight put on him and
- 20:36Speaker 1: for the questions to be asked. Why were you involved
- 20:40Speaker 1: in a relationship, business or otherwise, with Jean-Luc Brunel? Today's
- 20:47Speaker 1: article is from The Daily Beast and the author is
- 20:51Speaker 1: Emily Sugarman. And again, The Daily Beast has done great
- 20:54Speaker 1: work here, folks. Emily Sugarman has done fantastic work. Kate
- 20:58Speaker 1: Bricolet has done incredible work. She's a very good journalist. And,
- 21:02Speaker 1: you know, the list goes on over here at the
- 21:04Speaker 1: Daily Beast. And for me, I might not agree with
- 21:08Speaker 1: their politics in some regard, in some articles, but I
- 21:10Speaker 1: don't care about any of that. All I care about
- 21:15Speaker 1: is that they're being truthful when it comes to this story,
- 21:19Speaker 1: that they're doing their due diligence when it comes to
- 21:22Speaker 1: this story, and that they're holding people to account. Because,
- 21:24Speaker 1: you see, that's what journalists are supposed to do. They're
- 21:26Speaker 1: supposed to hold people in power to account, not cover
- 21:30Speaker 1: for them. Headline, Steve Mnuchin's Mysterious Link to Creepy Epstein
- 21:36Speaker 1: Model Scout. Author, Emily Sugarman. In the late 1980s, before
- 21:43Speaker 1: he was a member of Donald Trump's cabinet, or even
- 21:45Speaker 1: a high-rolling hedge fund manager, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin served
- 21:50Speaker 1: in an official capacity for a business run by one
- 21:53Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's most infamous associates. How has Mnuchin not
- 21:58Speaker 1: had to answer for this? I mean... This is a
- 22:02Speaker 1: serious situation. He has to answer for his relationship with
- 22:06Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel. In official records, Mnuchin is listed as the
- 22:12Speaker 1: official state point of contact for Next Management Corporation, a
- 22:16Speaker 1: company formed in 1988 by modeling industry insiders Jean-Luc Brunel
- 22:22Speaker 1: and Arnaud Brunel. At the time, Jean-Luc Brunel had just
- 22:26Speaker 1: been the subject of a 60 Minutes documentary accusing him
- 22:29Speaker 1: of drugging and raping at least three models. Later, he
- 22:33Speaker 1: would be accused by two women of supplying girls to
- 22:35Speaker 1: Epstein to be sexually abused. Brunel has denied the allegations.
- 22:40Speaker 1: So not only was Mnuchin involved with this scumbag clown,
- 22:44Speaker 1: it was right around the same time that the allegations
- 22:47Speaker 1: were first breaking that Jean-Luc Brunel was drugging and raping girls.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And yet Steve Mnuchin thinks it's a good idea to
- 22:54Speaker 1: engage in business with this man? He thinks it's a
- 22:56Speaker 1: good idea to be involved as a front for this
- 22:59Speaker 1: company or as a point of contact for the next
- 23:04Speaker 1: management corporation? Really? Records accessed by the Daily Beast list
- 23:10Speaker 1: Mnuchin as the New York Department of State process for
- 23:13Speaker 1: Next Management Corporation. According to department officials, the DOS process
- 23:18Speaker 1: is the person who files a company's registration papers and
- 23:22Speaker 1: receives lawsuits and other official documents on their behalf, usually
- 23:26Speaker 1: a lawyer or some other legal representative. So... Mnuchin was
- 23:32Speaker 1: in charge of receiving any sort of lawsuit or document
- 23:37Speaker 1: on the behalf of Jean-Luc Brunel's company, Next. And this
- 23:40Speaker 1: isn't a bigger story? More people aren't talking about this? Look,
- 23:48Speaker 1: people like Steve Mnuchin and the rest of these billionaires,
- 23:52Speaker 1: I don't want them. in the presidential cabinets. I don't
- 23:56Speaker 1: want them in public office. You mean to tell me
- 23:58Speaker 1: there's nobody better to be the Treasury Department Secretary than
- 24:03Speaker 1: this man? We have no better people to do this
- 24:07Speaker 1: job in a country of 360 million people. I'm sorry,
- 24:11Speaker 1: but I don't buy that. And furthermore, I'm pretty sick
- 24:15Speaker 1: and tired of all of these billionaires sliding into these
- 24:20Speaker 1: these presidential cabinet positions with no sort of experience at statesmanship.
- 24:29Speaker 1: A Treasury Department official said Mnuchin did not know he
- 24:32Speaker 1: was listed as the TOS process for Next Management Corporation
- 24:36Speaker 1: before the Daily Beast inquiry. He said it was not
- 24:39Speaker 1: clear how Mnuchin wound up serving in that role and
- 24:42Speaker 1: added that the secretary did not recall ever meeting either
- 24:45Speaker 1: Brunel brother and had never done business with either of them.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Oh yeah, your name just magically appeared. on the document.
- 24:53Speaker 1: It just showed up one day on the document. You
- 24:55Speaker 1: know what? Your pen, your Crossman pen got up and
- 24:58Speaker 1: walked from your desk and went and signed the paperwork.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Is that what you would have us believe there, Mr. Mnuchin?
- 25:07Speaker 1: How aren't more people digging into this? How come these
- 25:11Speaker 1: aren't questions that are being asked at a huge rate
- 25:14Speaker 1: and a fast clip? Mnuchin's office did confirm that he
- 25:19Speaker 1: was longtime friends with Faith Cates, the owner of the
- 25:22Speaker 1: next modeling agency. Well, how about that? Does it shock
- 25:27Speaker 1: you that he's great friends with Faith Cates, another one
- 25:32Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's confidants, another person that procured girls for
- 25:37Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein? Did the Trump transition team even bother to
- 25:43Speaker 1: do their job? Or were they just like, all right,
- 25:46Speaker 1: whoever wants a job, come on down. You guys want
- 25:48Speaker 1: a job? Come on down. That's basically what it looks like.
- 25:51Speaker 1: Did they call like a service, an employment service to
- 25:56Speaker 1: get these cabinet positions filled? This is the best we got, huh?
- 26:01Speaker 1: Steve Mnuchin is the best we have, the best America
- 26:04Speaker 1: has to offer for this position. If that's the case, folks,
- 26:09Speaker 1: then forget it. We're done as a civilization. We might
- 26:11Speaker 1: as well pack it in now and call it a day.
- 26:16Speaker 1: The Brunel brothers co-founded the Next Agency with Cates in 1989,
- 26:20Speaker 1: and their company, Next Management Corporation, owned a 25% stake
- 26:24Speaker 1: in the agency for several years. The address listed under
- 26:28Speaker 1: Mnuchin's name is the State Department Records is the first
- 26:31Speaker 1: address for Cates Company, Next Management Company. So, again, he
- 26:37Speaker 1: can say he doesn't know Brunel or his brother. He
- 26:40Speaker 1: can act like he has no idea or anything about
- 26:44Speaker 1: any of this. But the reality is, we know the truth.
- 26:48Speaker 1: The evidence is right here. Your name just doesn't appear
- 26:50Speaker 1: on a document like this, Steve Mnuchin. Reached by the
- 26:54Speaker 1: Daily Beast, Cates denied any involvement with setting up Next
- 26:57Speaker 1: Management Corporation and said she had nothing to do with
- 27:00Speaker 1: Mnuchin serving as the DOS process. Nobody knows anything. They
- 27:05Speaker 1: can't hear nothing. They saw nothing. They know nothing. How
- 27:09Speaker 1: dare you for even asking? Don't you know that I'm
- 27:11Speaker 1: Faith Cates? Given that, she never designated anyone, including Secretary Mnuchin,
- 27:20Speaker 1: to be DOS process or any officer or director of
- 27:23Speaker 1: Next Management Corp. Again, I guess his name was just
- 27:26Speaker 1: picked out of a hat. They were like, you know what,
- 27:28Speaker 1: let's go through the yellow pages, we'll write down some names,
- 27:31Speaker 1: and let's just yank one of them out of a hat. Really?
- 27:34Speaker 1: You think that's what occurred? Or do you think that Mr.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Mnuchin is not being honest with us? The spokesperson added
- 27:44Speaker 1: that Kate's agency sued Next Management Corporation 25 years ago
- 27:48Speaker 1: over allegations that the Brunel brothers had raided the agency
- 27:52Speaker 1: and said Kate's had not had any contact with them
- 27:55Speaker 1: since then. She said Kate's had no knowledge of why
- 27:58Speaker 1: her company's address was listed in official records for Next
- 28:01Speaker 1: Management Corporation. I mean, really? You don't know why your
- 28:04Speaker 1: company's listed, huh? Well, maybe it's the fact that, you know,
- 28:07Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein and your boy there, Jean-Luc Brunel, were ponying
- 28:11Speaker 1: up dough to you. Maybe it's the fact that they
- 28:13Speaker 1: were closer to you than you would like to admit.
- 28:15Speaker 1: And maybe it's the fact that what you're trying to
- 28:17Speaker 1: do now is nothing but damage control. You ever think
- 28:20Speaker 1: about that, Miss Cates? Cates has her own connections to Epstein,
- 28:26Speaker 1: as the Daily Beast previously reported. Former employees say the financier, pedophile,
- 28:31Speaker 1: regularly dropped in on the agency's New York offices, and
- 28:34Speaker 1: tax filings show he donated tens of thousands of dollars
- 28:37Speaker 1: to charities connected to Cates and her family. At least
- 28:41Speaker 1: two former Next models have been romantically linked to Epstein,
- 28:44Speaker 1: and a third appears in his infamous address book. A
- 28:48Speaker 1: spokesperson for Cates said neither she nor the next agency
- 28:51Speaker 1: had any business or financial ties to Epstein and that
- 28:54Speaker 1: Cates never introduced the financier, pedophile, to any models. That
- 28:59Speaker 1: is such a lie. That is such a lie. We
- 29:01Speaker 1: read earlier that the employee said something completely different, that
- 29:04Speaker 1: there would always be a girl waiting for him there,
- 29:07Speaker 1: that Brunel would send girls there to wait for Epstein,
- 29:10Speaker 1: therefore acting as a hub for human trafficking. And this
- 29:13Speaker 1: is what Steve Mnuchin's name's on? This is what Steve
- 29:16Speaker 1: Mnuchin was involved in? We got to do better, America.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Come on, we have to do better. And when I
- 29:22Speaker 1: say we have to do better, believe me, I don't
- 29:24Speaker 1: mean Joe Biden either, okay? We have to do better
- 29:27Speaker 1: selecting our candidates, selecting the people that are going to
- 29:31Speaker 1: govern us. Mnuchin has been friends with Cates for approximately
- 29:37Speaker 1: 30 years, according to the Treasury Department official. and once
- 29:40Speaker 1: helped Cates set up a business as a friend. Boy,
- 29:43Speaker 1: that's nice. I wish I had some friends that would
- 29:45Speaker 1: come over and help me set up some businesses without
- 29:47Speaker 1: expecting anything. I'm sure that Mr. Mnuchin didn't expect anything
- 29:50Speaker 1: from Cates if he was setting up the business for
- 29:52Speaker 1: he's just a friend. A spokesperson for Cates confirmed the
- 29:57Speaker 1: two had been friendly for decades. She said Mnuchin had
- 30:00Speaker 1: offered Cates business advice when she started Next Management Company
- 30:04Speaker 1: and served as a real estate broker. Man, Mnuchin is
- 30:07Speaker 1: a man of many talents. Real estate broker, treasure secretary,
- 30:13Speaker 1: hedge fund manager, guy that signs for John Luke Brunel.
- 30:18Speaker 1: I guess he could add that to his resume as well.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Mnuchin's spokesperson said the secretary had no ownership in any
- 30:25Speaker 1: of Kate's businesses or served them in any business capacity.
- 30:29Speaker 1: The records say differently. And if it's not the case,
- 30:33Speaker 1: then who's committing fraud by putting their name down there, sir?
- 30:37Speaker 1: The Daily Beast was unable to reach Jean-Luc or Arnaud
- 30:40Speaker 1: Brunel for comment. The ties between Jean-Luc Brunel and Epstein, however,
- 30:44Speaker 1: have been widely reported. Flight records show Brunel flew on
- 30:49Speaker 1: the pedophile's private plane more than 20 times, between 1999
- 30:53Speaker 1: and 2005, and how staff said in depositions that the
- 30:57Speaker 1: modeling agent was a regular presence at Epstein's Palm Beach estate.
- 31:01Speaker 1: So just for context for a second, Brunel flew on
- 31:07Speaker 1: the plane 20 times between 1999 and 2005. Good old Bill,
- 31:13Speaker 1: my gumad, is Ghislaine Maxwell. He flew on the plane
- 31:17Speaker 1: at least 26 times, according to reports. So again, if
- 31:21Speaker 1: you think this is just one side of the aisle,
- 31:24Speaker 1: if you think it's just the Republicans, or you think
- 31:26Speaker 1: it's just the Democrats, well, you're wrong. When Epstein was
- 31:33Speaker 1: arrested in 2008, Brunel visited him nearly 70 times in jail.
- 31:38Speaker 1: I don't even think I've had my friends come and
- 31:40Speaker 1: visit me at my house 70 times, never mind in jail.
- 31:44Speaker 1: One of Epstein's first public accusers, Virginia Roberts, claimed Epstein
- 31:48Speaker 1: forced her to sleep with Brunel and many other powerful
- 31:51Speaker 1: men in the years he kept her as his prisoner.
- 31:55Speaker 1: She also accused Brunel of using his modeling industry connections
- 31:59Speaker 1: to supply Epstein and other wealthy men with foreign girls
- 32:02Speaker 1: to abuse. And we know for a fact that this
- 32:06Speaker 1: was occurring. Not only the very credible statements of Virginia...
- 32:11Speaker 1: But we have all of the other corroborating evidence here,
- 32:15Speaker 1: the employees, etc., etc. I mean, the cops from Reno
- 32:21Speaker 1: 911 could prosecute this case. A former bookkeeper for one
- 32:27Speaker 1: of Brunel's agencies told the FBI in 2010 that Brunel
- 32:31Speaker 1: used the company to bring in teenage models from around
- 32:33Speaker 1: the world and house them in Epstein's Upper East Side apartments.
- 32:37Speaker 1: The bookkeeper claimed the girls were loaned out to wealthy
- 32:40Speaker 1: clients for as much as $ 100, 000 a night and were
- 32:43Speaker 1: not paid if they refused to be molested. We talked
- 32:46Speaker 1: about that earlier and it just defies reason that these
- 32:50Speaker 1: disgusting ass so-called members of polite society are willing to
- 32:55Speaker 1: pay $ 100, 000 a night to abuse these girls. What in
- 32:58Speaker 1: the F is wrong with these people? I mean, are
- 33:04Speaker 1: they all inbred and suffering from some sort of mental deficiency?
- 33:11Speaker 1: French authorities are currently seeking Brunel as part of their
- 33:14Speaker 1: probe into Epstein, and recently interviewed two women who say
- 33:17Speaker 1: they were victims of the modeling agent in the late
- 33:19Speaker 1: 70s and early 80s, according to French newspaper L'Apparition. Brunel
- 33:25Speaker 1: has denied all claims of sexual misconduct as well as
- 33:28Speaker 1: any knowledge of Epstein's wrongdoings. In legal filings, he said
- 33:32Speaker 1: the former bookkeeper had been fired from his agency for
- 33:34Speaker 1: embezzling company funds. Yeah, it's always the same story, right? Oh,
- 33:38Speaker 1: this one's lying, that one's lying. I'm the only one
- 33:40Speaker 1: telling the truth. Meanwhile, you're the biggest scumbag in the room, Mr. Brunel,
- 33:45Speaker 1: and I wouldn't believe you if you told me the
- 33:47Speaker 1: sun was going to rise tomorrow. I strongly deny having
- 33:51Speaker 1: participated neither directly nor indirectly in the actions Mr. Jeffrey
- 33:55Speaker 1: Epstein is being accused of, Brunel said in a 2015 statement.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I strongly deny having committed any illicit or any wrongdoing
- 34:03Speaker 1: in the course of my work as a scouter or
- 34:06Speaker 1: a model agency's manager. Yes, okay, sure. Right. Just like
- 34:12Speaker 1: Baghdad Bob said that the American troops weren't in Baghdad, right,
- 34:17Speaker 1: during the Iraq invasions. That's basically what you look like, Mr. Brunel. Oh, yeah,
- 34:22Speaker 1: nothing to see here. Meanwhile, there's evidence that's mounted up,
- 34:25Speaker 1: piled high, all around you so high that you'll suffocate
- 34:29Speaker 1: in it if you walk into a room. And you
- 34:31Speaker 1: mean to tell us that you had nothing to do
- 34:34Speaker 1: with Jeffrey Epstein, huh? You, of all people, had nothing
- 34:39Speaker 1: to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Well, sir, the evidence... And many,
- 34:46Speaker 1: many different girls and witnesses, they all say, you're a liar.
- 34:52Speaker 1: And guess what? I believe them. If you'd like to
- 34:55Speaker 1: contact me, you can do that at BobbyCapucci at ProtonMail.com.
- 34:59Speaker 1: That's B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I at ProtonMail.com. You can also find
- 35:07Speaker 1: me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I. What's up, everyone,
- 35:13Speaker 1: and welcome to another episode of Of the Epstein Chronicles.
- 35:17Speaker 1: I know there's a lot of talk about Ghislaine Maxwell
- 35:20Speaker 1: and Jeffrey Epstein right now. But to understand who Jeffrey
- 35:24Speaker 1: Epstein was and to understand how he was able to
- 35:27Speaker 1: do what he did, you have to know about one
- 35:31Speaker 1: of the key players that's not even being talked about
- 35:34Speaker 1: by the legacy media.
- 35:36Speaker 2: And that key player is Jean-Luc Brunel.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Now, Jean-Luc Brunel was a model scout who worked for
- 35:42Speaker 1: Karen Models previously. And then, after meeting Epstein, he opened
- 35:47Speaker 1: his own company called MC Squared. And his partner in
- 35:51Speaker 1: that venture was none other than Jeffrey Epstein. And the
- 35:55Speaker 1: reason that Jeffrey Epstein provided the money to Jean-Luc Brunel
- 35:58Speaker 1: to get this all off the ground and started is
- 36:01Speaker 1: because it gave him that pipeline directly to these aspiring
- 36:04Speaker 1: models that were coming through and coming over from other countries, Brazil,
- 36:09Speaker 1: Eastern Europe, Ecuador, Guatemala, you name it. And they were
- 36:15Speaker 1: coming to America to try and become models. But instead,
- 36:18Speaker 1: they'd come here and they'd be farmed out by Jean-Luc Brunel.
- 36:21Speaker 1: And some of the girls, depending on what their level was,
- 36:25Speaker 1: depending on how well they were thought of by Jean-Luc
- 36:28Speaker 1: Brunel and the people around them.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Well, those girls, they'd get to go live with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 36:35Speaker 1: Oh, and by the way, those girls I'm talking about, 14, 15,
- 36:39Speaker 1: 16 years old. And all of them were foreigners. And
- 36:44Speaker 1: you know when I talk about the girls with no names,
- 36:46Speaker 1: this is what I'm talking about. And after we do
- 36:49Speaker 1: this bit of a reintroduction of Jean-Luc Brunel to the conversation,
- 36:53Speaker 1: we're going to move to a deposition that was given
- 36:55Speaker 1: early on about Jean-Luc Brunel, Jeffrey Epstein, and MC Squared.
- 37:00Speaker 1: And you'll get a better idea of what I'm talking about.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Because like usual, I don't go with the just trust
- 37:06Speaker 1: me bro shit. I show up with receipts. This article
- 37:11Speaker 1: was published by the Daily Mail and the headline, Jeffrey
- 37:15Speaker 1: Epstein's French Connection. Jean-Luc Brunel, model scout friend of billionaire pedophile,
- 37:21Speaker 1: is accused of raping model and supplying girls to American
- 37:24Speaker 1: sex slave ring. Well, yeah, that was his job. He
- 37:27Speaker 1: was the pipeline, the conduit. And he was the other
- 37:30Speaker 1: piece of the puzzle that could have really blew things
- 37:33Speaker 1: wide open. Not Glenn Maxwell. Do you think it's a
- 37:37Speaker 1: coincidence that That the two people that could have led
- 37:40Speaker 1: us directly where we needed to go are both dead now?
- 37:43Speaker 1: This article was authored by Jessica Green. Three former models
- 37:48Speaker 1: said they were sexually assaulted by Jeffrey Epstein's associate Jean-Luc Brunel.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Allegations of misconduct against the French model scout 72 date
- 37:58Speaker 1: back decades, but he has faced no action and is
- 38:01Speaker 1: now back in the headlines as attention turns to friends
- 38:04Speaker 1: of the deceased billionaire sex offender. And Jean-Luc Brunel has
- 38:09Speaker 1: been able to operate under the radar for the most part.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Unless you're somebody who's followed the story and somebody who's
- 38:16Speaker 1: followed along with how this is all broke, chances are
- 38:19Speaker 1: you're not really aware of who Jean-Luc Brunel is and
- 38:22Speaker 1: what he was up to. But he was the man
- 38:24Speaker 1: that was responsible for that revolving door of young girls
- 38:28Speaker 1: coming in and out of Jeffrey Epstein's house in New
- 38:30Speaker 1: York for sure. He was also the one who was
- 38:33Speaker 1: in charge of placing those girls in various apartments and
- 38:37Speaker 1: locations throughout New York City, especially the building at E66.
- 38:42Speaker 2: She also claims she.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Was forced to have sex with the Scout numerous times
- 38:45Speaker 1: in Epstein's home, but Brunel is denied both allegations. Oh yeah,
- 38:50Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel, Mr. Coke Addict himself. I mean, it's hard
- 38:54Speaker 1: to find somebody as smarmy as Epstein, but Jean-Luc Brunel
- 38:57Speaker 1: is right there with him. We're talking about a disgusting,
- 39:01Speaker 1: degenerate motherfucker. a dude that was raping models, a dude
- 39:05Speaker 1: that was bringing 14-year-old girls as presents to Jeffrey Epstein,
- 39:09Speaker 1: and I'm not even kidding when I say this, but
- 39:11Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel led a lot of these girls directly into
- 39:14Speaker 1: the belly of the beast. And he's somebody that I've
- 39:18Speaker 1: said from the beginning is even more culpable than Ghislaine Maxwell.
- 39:22Speaker 1: I think that Jean-Luc Brunel was somebody that really had
- 39:25Speaker 1: the keys, somebody that was going to the meetings, somebody
- 39:28Speaker 1: that was playing the real middleman. Ghislaine Maxwell, she was
- 39:32Speaker 1: the groomer, right? Her job was to make sure all
- 39:34Speaker 1: the girls felt comfortable. Her and her stupid ass, high
- 39:38Speaker 1: posh ass accent, and the way that she normalized everything,
- 39:42Speaker 1: that was her role. But Jean-Luc Brunel, his role was
- 39:46Speaker 1: something completely different. And this is a man that spent
- 39:49Speaker 1: most of his time traveling the world to fill that
- 39:52Speaker 1: pipeline to feed Jeffrey Epstein and his own desires. And
- 39:56Speaker 1: that's not my opinion.
- 39:57Speaker 2: That's a fact.
- 39:59Speaker 1: Several associates of Epstein's who died in an apparent suicide
- 40:02Speaker 1: in a New York jail last week, age 66, are
- 40:06Speaker 1: facing renewed scrutiny from U.S. investigators, according to The Guardian.
- 40:11Speaker 1: And three former models told the publication that they were
- 40:14Speaker 1: sexually assaulted by Brunel and in and nearby Paris throughout
- 40:18Speaker 1: the 80s and the 90s. I can only imagine what
- 40:22Speaker 1: this dude was up to in Brazil, what he was
- 40:24Speaker 1: up to in Guatemala, what he was up to in Ecuador,
- 40:27Speaker 1: what he was up to in places like Eastern Europe, Yugoslavia,
- 40:31Speaker 1: you name it. Anywhere there was suffering, you can bet
- 40:36Speaker 1: your ass that this piece of shit, Jean-Luc Brunel, would
- 40:39Speaker 1: be close by. They thrived on it. Pain, suffering, People
- 40:44Speaker 1: that were in situations that were untenable. Sure, I'll give
- 40:47Speaker 1: you 10 grand for your daughter. That's the kind of
- 40:51Speaker 1: shit these pieces of garbage did. And nobody's talking about
- 40:54Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel's bitch ass and the fact that he died
- 40:57Speaker 1: in prison too. You want to talk about conspiracies? You
- 41:01Speaker 1: want to jump down some rabbit holes? I promise you
- 41:04Speaker 1: that it'll be more fruitful than talking about adrenochrome and
- 41:08Speaker 1: people being locked in Gitmo Bay. Brunel, his attorney, and MC2,
- 41:13Speaker 1: the Miami-based model agency he founded, reportedly with backing from Epstein,
- 41:17Speaker 1: did not respond to a request for comment from the newspaper.
- 41:22Speaker 1: In 2015, Brunel denied involvement directly or indirectly in Epstein's crimes,
- 41:27Speaker 1: telling The Guardian, I strongly deny having committed any illicit
- 41:31Speaker 1: act or any wrongdoing in the course of my work,
- 41:33Speaker 1: as a scouter or a model agency's manager. Meanwhile, over
- 41:37Speaker 1: a dozen people have come forward saying that he molested them,
- 41:40Speaker 1: that he raped them, that he did unspeakable things to them.
- 41:44Speaker 1: And never mind the girls with no names. And when
- 41:47Speaker 1: we talk about Jean-Luc Brunel, that's really what I'm talking about.
- 41:52Speaker 1: How many poor girls were dragged into this nightmare by
- 41:56Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel and delivered directly to the belly of the beast?
- 42:00Speaker 1: Countless numbers. I wish I had a number to give you.
- 42:03Speaker 1: I wish I had an estimate to give you.
- 42:05Speaker 2: I don't.
- 42:06Speaker 1: All I can tell you is that the number is ungodly,
- 42:10Speaker 1: and it needs to be a bigger topic of the conversation.
- 42:16Speaker 1: MC2 also denied any connection to Epstein's crimes and previously
- 42:20Speaker 1: said Brunel no longer actively worked with the firm, despite
- 42:24Speaker 1: the scouts saying he still owned it in a 2015
- 42:27Speaker 1: legal case, which remains open. And I have a whole deposition...
- 42:31Speaker 1: by somebody who worked directly for Jean-Luc Brunel at MC2,
- 42:36Speaker 1: and what you hear in this deposition, I promise you,
- 42:38Speaker 1: is going to have you asking yourself, how the fuck
- 42:41Speaker 1: could this all go down with nobody being the wiser?
- 42:45Speaker 1: And then inevitably, you're going to come to the conclusion,
- 42:47Speaker 1: I would guess, that there's no way that people didn't know.
- 42:51Speaker 1: There's too many moving parts here, and too much going on,
- 42:54Speaker 1: especially financially, for people not to know that something was amiss.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Brunel firmly established himself as one of the fashion industry's
- 43:04Speaker 1: top players in the 1980s when working as a scout
- 43:07Speaker 1: at the Caron Models Agency in the French capital. He
- 43:12Speaker 1: claims to have launched the careers of Jerry Hall, Angie Everhart,
- 43:16Speaker 1: and Christy Turlington, some of the most popular models of
- 43:19Speaker 1: the era. Fame for his lively parties. Yeah, lively parties, huh?
- 43:24Speaker 1: It was such a one evening in September 1991 that
- 43:28Speaker 1: Tissier Huisman, then aged 18, began feeling lightheaded after being
- 43:32Speaker 1: given a drink by Brunel. The Dutch model, who was
- 43:35Speaker 1: staying at Brunel's apartment near the Karen headquarters on Avenue Hoche,
- 43:40Speaker 1: was then allegedly taken to his bedroom. Well, that's how
- 43:43Speaker 1: he operated. This piece of garbage, piece of shit motherfucker,
- 43:47Speaker 1: that's what he did. He'd get these girls faded, give
- 43:50Speaker 1: them drugs, whatever, and then he'd molest them and rinse
- 43:53Speaker 1: and repeat. Time and time again, every trip he was on,
- 43:57Speaker 1: this dude was molesting people. And you want to talk
- 44:00Speaker 1: about somebody as prolific as Jeffrey Epstein? Well, in my opinion,
- 44:04Speaker 1: Jean-Luc Brunel's it. I recall him lying on top of me,
- 44:08Speaker 1: me trying to push him off, she said in an interview.
- 44:11Speaker 1: I remember trying to move, but not being able to,
- 44:14Speaker 1: like almost being paralyzed. I heard the sound of my blouse,
- 44:18Speaker 1: a black blouse, ripping. I had a black skirt too.
- 44:22Speaker 1: I felt him, this is difficult, between my legs and pushing.
- 44:26Speaker 1: The rest, Weissman said, was a blur and the next
- 44:29Speaker 1: morning she woke up in a kimono that didn't belong
- 44:32Speaker 1: to her with bruises on her inner thighs. And we
- 44:36Speaker 1: have heard this same story about Jean-Luc Brunel from multiple people.
- 44:41Speaker 1: I felt like we had sex, the now 46-year-old said.
- 44:44Speaker 2: I knew, I know.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Disoriented, the model quickly gathered her belongings and fled the
- 44:50Speaker 1: apartment for the train station. Huisman didn't report the incident
- 44:55Speaker 1: to police, but would eventually tell her current partner, who
- 44:58Speaker 1: confirmed to the Washington Post that she explained the full
- 45:01Speaker 1: story around two years ago after revealing some details six
- 45:05Speaker 1: years prior. And look, you can't really take that for much, right?
- 45:10Speaker 1: It's embarrassing as fuck. A lot of people don't come
- 45:12Speaker 1: forward and ever talk about their abuse, especially back then.
- 45:17Speaker 1: There was no internet to go to, right? No social media,
- 45:20Speaker 1: nobody to back you up. If the media didn't pick
- 45:22Speaker 1: up your story, forget it. And chances are, the media's
- 45:26Speaker 1: not going to pick it up because they're friends with
- 45:28Speaker 1: the person you're accusing. So yeah, I'm not shocked for
- 45:31Speaker 1: a second that she didn't go to the authorities. A
- 45:35Speaker 1: second former model, now 55, from America, spoke anonymously to
- 45:39Speaker 1: The Guardian to allege that Brunel assaulted her outside Paris
- 45:43Speaker 1: after scouting her in 1984. She recalled being alone with
- 45:47Speaker 1: the Frenchman on a night out after he falsely told
- 45:50Speaker 1: her they were going to meet other people. She believes
- 45:53Speaker 1: they drove to Fountain Blue, southeast of the capital, to
- 45:56Speaker 1: a grand estate with big iron gates. He got undressed,
- 46:00Speaker 1: put on a toweling robe, and took a shower, she said.
- 46:04Speaker 1: He kept being all over me, and I was trying
- 46:07Speaker 1: to fight him off. He was grabbing my breasts and
- 46:09Speaker 1: my crotch. I kept trying to talk to him and say,
- 46:12Speaker 1: why are you doing this? I don't want to do this.
- 46:15Speaker 1: The former model claims to have fled by climbing out
- 46:18Speaker 1: of a window onto the ledge and staying there for
- 46:21Speaker 1: the remainder of the night as Brunel slept. She said
- 46:24Speaker 1: she told her roommate about the incident and an aunt
- 46:27Speaker 1: who died in recent years. The former model didn't tell
- 46:31Speaker 1: her parents as they would have been devastated. A third model,
- 46:35Speaker 1: Courtney Sorensen, from Stoneboro, Pennsylvania, headed to Paris in April
- 46:40Speaker 1: 1988 at age 19. In an interview, she alleged that
- 46:45Speaker 1: Brunel subjected her to several incidents of unwanted touching, hounded
- 46:49Speaker 1: her for sex, and ruined her career when she rejected him.
- 46:53Speaker 1: He would get very handsy, start groping me, try to
- 46:55Speaker 1: kiss me, try to get me to lay down on
- 46:57Speaker 1: the bed just to try it out, recalled Sorensen, who
- 47:01Speaker 1: now lives in California. He would try to untuck my shirt,
- 47:05Speaker 1: wanting to see my abs. He would grab my breasts
- 47:07Speaker 1: and put his hand on my bottom. There was one
- 47:10Speaker 1: time where he rubbed himself up against me. She first
- 47:14Speaker 1: publicly accused Brunel more than 30 years ago during an
- 47:17Speaker 1: interview for CBS' 60-minute show working on a story titled
- 47:21Speaker 1: American Girls in Paris.
- 47:25Speaker 2: The broadcaster has.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Declined to release the recording of the transcript of the
- 47:29Speaker 1: December 1988 story with a spokesman for the program, Kevin Tedesco,
- 47:34Speaker 1: this week saying that story is still on legal hold. Oh,
- 47:38Speaker 1: isn't that nice, huh? Look, the system has protected people
- 47:42Speaker 1: like Jean-Luc Brunel. for years and years and years. And
- 47:46Speaker 1: his connection to Jeffrey Epstein has only heightened that and
- 47:50Speaker 1: helped him out along the way.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Despite Epstein being.
- 47:54Speaker 1: Jailed in Florida for 13 months after pleading to procuring
- 47:58Speaker 1: an underage girl for prostitution, Brunel's friendship with the sex
- 48:01Speaker 1: offender survived. He visited Epstein in prison in 2008, according
- 48:06Speaker 1: to court reports. However, by 2015, Brunel sued Epstein, claiming...
- 48:12Speaker 1: He and MC2 lost multiple contracts and business in the
- 48:15Speaker 1: modeling business as a result of Epstein's illegal actions. And
- 48:20Speaker 1: we'll talk about that lawsuit a little bit more later on,
- 48:22Speaker 1: but I feel like that was all a ploy. Kind
- 48:25Speaker 1: of to help Jeffrey Epstein out a little bit. Well,
- 48:28Speaker 1: you sue me, and it'll look like we aren't friends,
- 48:31Speaker 1: and therefore it'll look like I had nothing to do
- 48:33Speaker 1: with MC2, and you'll be able to protect yourself too.
- 48:37Speaker 1: Say what you want about Jeffrey Epstein, but do not
- 48:40Speaker 1: ever underestimate his deviousness. this is a man who is
- 48:44Speaker 1: no doubt a sick and twisted son of a bitch.
- 48:48Speaker 2: But he knew the game. And he knew what he
- 48:50Speaker 2: was doing.
- 48:50Speaker 1: And he knew how to manipulate people into doing what
- 48:53Speaker 1: he wanted them to do. And the key cog in
- 48:56Speaker 1: all of that, when it comes to all these girls
- 48:58Speaker 1: that were staying at Epstein's house, that were being trafficked,
- 49:02Speaker 1: that were being brought in, look no further than Jean-Luc Brunel.
- 49:06Speaker 1: And while Jean-Luc Brunel might be dead, this newfound interest
- 49:10Speaker 1: in Jeffrey Epstein has brought his story back to life.
- 49:14Speaker 1: And like I said in the opening, I think it's
- 49:15Speaker 1: crucial that you understand who Jean-Luc Brunel is because he's
- 49:19Speaker 1: one of the key parts of what Epstein was up to.
- 49:23Speaker 1: And I think by the time that we're done talking
- 49:25Speaker 1: about Jean-Luc Brunel and his role within Epstein's organization, it'll
- 49:29Speaker 1: be clear that Jean-Luc Brunel wasn't just some recruiter, but
- 49:33Speaker 1: a key component in Jeffrey Epstein's criminal empire. Alright folks,
- 49:38Speaker 1: that's going to do it for this one. But have
- 49:40Speaker 1: no fear. Like usual, plenty more is on the way.
- 49:45Speaker 1: All of the information that goes with this episode can
- 49:48Speaker 1: be found in the description box.
