- 0:00Speaker 1: First to the Europe we go, Gavin, great, good morning
- 0:02Speaker 1: to you.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Good morning.
- 0:04Speaker 1: So we've got the emergency summit on the war in
- 0:07Speaker 1: Ukraine tomorrow or in days in France.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Yes, it hasn't all formerly been announced, but it looks
- 0:15Speaker 2: like very little in Europe happens quickly. But it does
- 0:18Speaker 2: look like this is going to happen pretty quickly. And
- 0:20Speaker 2: that's because the Europeans are now pretty terrified frankly, about
- 0:24Speaker 2: being left out of the negotiations about ending the war
- 0:28Speaker 2: in Ukraine, which is on the doorstep of Europe. They
- 0:31Speaker 2: fear that this is going to be put together by
- 0:34Speaker 2: America and Russia without even Ukraine being involved, let alone
- 0:38Speaker 2: anybody from Europe, and so they want to attend this
- 0:41Speaker 2: summit in Paris, going to be hosted by Emmanuel Macron.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Sekire Starmer is likely to go, and interestingly, Sakire Starma
- 0:48Speaker 2: already then has a meeting with US President Donald Trump
- 0:53Speaker 2: at the White House at the end of this month,
- 0:55Speaker 2: so it looks like there is some sort of a
- 0:57Speaker 2: schedule for this. But of course I say the end
- 0:59Speaker 2: of this month or two weeks away. Donald Trump doesn't
- 1:01Speaker 2: tend to wait two weeks to announce things. So there
- 1:04Speaker 2: is this real fear that in some way Donald Trump
- 1:07Speaker 2: and Vladimir Putin are going to agree something which neither
- 1:12Speaker 2: Ukraine nor Europe agree with. And I think that's going
- 1:15Speaker 2: to be very difficult. So there are not going to
- 1:16Speaker 2: be calls. President Zelenski has started this for the creation
- 1:20Speaker 2: of an army of Europe amid the rising concern that
- 1:23Speaker 2: the US may no longer come to the continent's aid.
- 1:26Speaker 1: Yes, and there's an army outside of NATO, another army,
- 1:28Speaker 1: another sort of organization. So some are for and some
- 1:31Speaker 1: are against. That's what they'll be discussing as this emergency summit.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Kids underway tell me about commuter cat.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Ah, Well, I love this story. So there is this
- 1:41Speaker 2: cat from a village show, small town outside London, and
- 1:46Speaker 2: it was just turned up at somebody's door and it
- 1:48Speaker 2: turns out that these people have adopted it. It's a
- 1:51Speaker 2: family cat now, so to speak. And this cat is
- 1:55Speaker 2: incredibly adventurous. He's already gone on buses and managed to
- 1:58Speaker 2: find his way home. He's actually ended up going behind
- 2:02Speaker 2: the bar at the local pub and just sort of
- 2:04Speaker 2: sitting there for lunch and so forth. But I think
- 2:06Speaker 2: the biggest shot came quite recently when the owners had
- 2:11Speaker 2: a call from Waterloo Railway Station, which is a London terminus.
- 2:16Speaker 2: The cat had got on the coach on the train carriage, rather,
- 2:20Speaker 2: had got on the train carriage at Weybridge and conducted
- 2:24Speaker 2: a thirty kilometer trip right into the heart of London, unaccompanied,
- 2:29Speaker 2: completely unannounced. Who knows how he got to the station,
- 2:32Speaker 2: Who knows how he got on the train. But the
- 2:34Speaker 2: owner said, I was absolutely stunned when somebody from the
- 2:37Speaker 2: ticket office at Waterloo station said your cat is here.
- 2:40Speaker 2: It's got your labor on. He said, what the hell
- 2:43Speaker 2: is my cat doing in Waterloo getting on the trains
- 2:45Speaker 2: and going for a ride. What a good question.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Absolutely, if he doesn't watch out the cat, we'll get
- 2:50Speaker 1: to some pancras before he knows that. He get a
- 2:52Speaker 1: call from France. We got your care here, Kevin or
- 2:55Speaker 1: the best. Thank you so much for your time today.
