- 0:21SPEAKER_00: You've stumbled upon episode two of the Doctor Sleep series.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: I also have multiple other series to enjoy on the podcast.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Please check out prior episodes and don't forget to like, share, subscribe, and hang out for basically an in-depth analysis of scenes of movies that we all know and love, where I kind of try to find the spiritual nuggets and get to the deeper meaning of scenes that are in movies.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: And today for Dr.
- 0:49SPEAKER_00: Sleep episode two, I will be going over the scene where Rose the Hat attempts to go into Abra's mind against her will and how that gets reversed on her through Abra being able to reside within her divinity.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: If you haven't checked out episode one, I kicked off the series with a character analysis on Snake Bite Andy.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: Typically on this podcast, I do cover scenes, but I wanted to dedicate an entire episode to a character in the movie because I thought her character was very um well worth exploring, especially the current climate that we're in right now.
- 1:25SPEAKER_00: So if you haven't checked out that, please go ahead and listen to that.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: And I will go ahead and get into episode two with the scene where Rose the Hat attempts to get into Abra's mind.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: So for the scene recap, we see Rose the Hat on top of basically there, they have a cluster of like RVs that they move around in, and she's on top of one of those with like a meditation pillow, and she goes into a meditative state, and she essentially astral projects herself up above into the sky, and we see her travel across quite a distance to basically she's trying to energetically track Abra because she's encountered her a couple times at this point, once through when they were killing that young boy Bradley.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: And then also in the grocery store, Abra manages to track her down energetically because she's trying to trace the true knot in order to bring them to justice for Bradley's murder.
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: So Rose the Hat has had glimpses of her power, and because she's so, you know, egoically possessed and entrenched, she just needs to possess it, and that's essentially what she's trying to do here.
- 2:36SPEAKER_00: So she travels and she senses Abra in a house, you know, on a certain street, and she sends her astral body into the house, and she sees file cabinets in front of her, which I'm not sure watching this scene if Abra staged all of that as like this is my mind, or if that actually is her mind, or if she set a trap for her, I'm not too sure.
- 3:02SPEAKER_00: I mean, we know she does trap her, but I don't know if the file cabinets were part of that or not.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: But she looks at those and makes a comment about, you know, how people are silly making little boxes, and she compares Abra's mind to hers and says mine's a cathedral, and she thinks she's sleeping, so she starts to, you know, look at the boxes and she wants to go through them basically just to learn more about Abra so she can eventually overtake her.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: And Abra had been warned already by Danny at this point to stay away from these people because she tracks Danny down to try to get his help because they had been corresponding through writings on the wall, literally, in Danny's little one-bedroom rental that he has.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: They send messages back to each other using their shine.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: So she had tried to enlist his help, but he doesn't want any part of it because he is finally stable.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: You know, he's a recovering alcoholic, he's found some grounding and stability and purpose in his life, so he doesn't want to mess with anything.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: And this is drudging up essentially his darkest demons, and he doesn't want to go there.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: So Abra decides to, you know, plan for Rose the Hat because Danny does warn her, you know, since you've attracted their attention, be careful.
- 4:21SPEAKER_00: And so Abra waits for Rose the Hat to open a file cabinet, and then once she puts her hand in there, the spotlight shows up, and she can't get her hand out.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: And Abra's behind her, and it's really cool because she's wearing essentially like a costume face of a superhero girl that she has on her nightstand that we see in an earlier scene.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: So that was her imagination of being able to project herself into a powerful form that was meaningful to her.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: And I love that it's customized to her.
- 4:56SPEAKER_00: And she, you know, walks towards Rose the Hat very calmly, but very, you know, in a scary way, because she's she's like, you know, he said you'd come back and you did.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And she has her, you know, under her control, which is like a major Uno reverse card to Rose the Hat because she was gonna try to overtake Abra and instead she gets overtaken.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: And then Abra disappears, and Rose the Hat is you know looking around pretty violently, like, where'd you go?
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: What are you doing?
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: And then Abra goes into Rose's mind, and we see a cathedral-like place with a like a huge, you know, uh storage of Rose the Hat's mind because Rose the Hat has been alive for quite some time.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: We don't know exactly how long, I'm not sure if the book says that, but she's been around a long time.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: So Abra starts going through her mind.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: And Rose the Hat reacts so violently to that, tells her to get out.
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: And Abra in the grocery store earlier had told Rose the Hat to get out, and she pushed her out of her mind like immediately.
- 6:02SPEAKER_00: There wasn't any resistance, it was just she she was pushed out, and Rose the Hat can't get Abra out.
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Abra is much stronger, much more centered, much more in her divinity, which is always stronger than ego, not being good, but being divine is stronger than ego.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: And so Rose the Hat can't get out, and then she has to literally pull her hand out, and she gets, you know, degloved on the way, so her hand is mangled, and then she has to, you know, really aggressively pull her feet back because she's just stuck.
- 6:35SPEAKER_00: It's like she's stuck in, you know, this mud, like syrupy, you know, she can't move her legs very well, so she has to really force her legs, and then she does this like violent jump, and then we see her body like twist and and turn, and she ends up back in her where she was meditating, but it's a violent return, so she's knocked off the roof of the RV, and everyone is you know worried like what happened, and she's just fuming because she says that Abra was stealing from her, which is so funny, since all they do is steal, but she was it's funny how the people who steal the most are the most upset when they're stolen from is kind of an interesting thing in the movie.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: But she returns, and then Abra lets Dan know that she, you know, got into her mind and she was scared, and I did it, you know, and he's like, Oh my god, what have you done?
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: You know, because he's been spending his entire life boxing, I think, literally in his case, compartmentalizing these ghosts and these, you know, demons, essentially, and she's just openly engaging them, and so that terrifies him.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: And so after essentially that happens in terms of the soul meaning of that scene, so I when I would watch this, and as I, you know, because I watch movies quite a bit and I always get something new out of it every time I watch it a second or third or fourth or fifth time, I've probably seen Doctor Sleep like I don't know, two dozen times at this point.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: I've watched it quite a bit because it's become more and more interesting energetically to me as I've especially gotten into doing this podcast and just you know going into the depth of stories.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: So I've watched it a lot.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: But I really think it's fascinating.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: First of all, we've already seen that Abra has a lot of power, and Rose the Hat knows this, but instead of being humbled by that power, she gets even more entrenched into her ego, and she's like, Well, I can just, you know, astral project and I can capture this power like I have all these other children, because mostly they prey on children that I've you know overtaken and and consumed their shine, I can do the same to her.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: And she knows that she's powerful.
- 8:59SPEAKER_00: She knows that she, you know, more powerful than average for sure.
- 9:04SPEAKER_00: Like she's a huge source of steam, that's what they call it.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: But instead of being, you know, kind of rightly so afraid of that, she's more emboldened to possess it.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: And that, like, if if you meet someone like that that has an ego that really cannot be humbled, they are very dangerous.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: But Abra does a really good job of showing us how if you really stand in your divinity, they still can't touch you.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Energetically, that's true.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: Because when she tries to, you know, go into her mind, Abra's like, no, you're not gonna go through my mind, but I'm gonna go through your mind.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: And Abra kind of spends the movie show being a mirror to them just how cool their energy is.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: She's like a, I would say a very dark feminine energy, because the feminine is not just light, like the feminine is dark and light.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: And so she basically shows them like you guys are really fucked up as like a group and the true knot, and I'm going to show you very clearly that you are despicable, and she does that really well.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: And in this scene, it's like, you know, again, instead of being humbled by how powerful Abra is, she rose the hat becomes even more dedicated to possessing Abra.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: She still wants to go after her.
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: You know, she's already told Crow that she wants to keep her and essentially use her up, like use her as repeated source of steam, but keep her alive because she's that special.
- 10:41SPEAKER_00: Because he asks, you know, if she wants her in the clan, and she says, absolutely not.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: We don't want anyone with that kind of power in the knot, because she doesn't want anyone more powerful than her.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: And, you know, it's kind of I was kind of thinking about this in terms of religion because I have a friend that I talk a lot about this stuff with, and she's one of the most brilliant people.
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Well, I think anyway, but especially in terms of understanding what the Bible actually means.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: I think she might be one of six because she doesn't read it from a literalist perspective.
- 11:11SPEAKER_00: And she, you know, studied seminary and she went to school for all that stuff.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: But she looks at it through a symbolic and a metaphorical lens.
- 11:18SPEAKER_00: And I kind of see Rose the Hat as what she would call the Old Testament God, the Yadabeo God.
- 11:26SPEAKER_00: Above me, there is no other.
- 11:27SPEAKER_00: Rose the Hat is very much like that because she, and I mean, if you look at the Ten Commandments, like there's a commandment that talks about thou shalt not have any other gods before me, which kind of suggests that there are other gods that you could worship.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: So it's like it's interesting.
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: But Rose the Hat doesn't want Abra in the group in the same capacity as Snake Bite Andy, which if you haven't listened to episode one, please go listen to that because I do a whole breakdown of her character.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: She wants Snake Bite Andy because Snake Bite Andy she can control.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Because if you remember, we covered this in episode one.
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: She's outside the movie theater and she is able to resist Snake Bite Andy's push powers.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: So she knows that she's more powerful than Snake Bite Andy.
- 12:08SPEAKER_00: But Rose the Hat knows that Abra is more powerful than her.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: And instead of, you know, just letting her be, she wants to break her through force, which is what ego will try to do.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Like she doesn't want her in the community because she's way too powerful, and that intimidates her.
- 12:30SPEAKER_00: And it's like it kind of reminds me of the old testament god.
- 12:33SPEAKER_00: Like, there's a lot of jealousy, a lot of intimidation, a lot of you can't be above me, so I'm going to make you beneath me through force, through war, through whatever means I have to.
- 12:43SPEAKER_00: And that's basically the stance that Rose the Hat takes towards Abra is I'm going to bend her to my will.
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: And it really shows the contrast because this is where Danny is starting to have to face the last piece of his integration and his ascension because he's stabilized himself, but he still hasn't faced that darkness.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: He he's locked it away in his boxes.
- 13:12SPEAKER_00: So he still hasn't come back to deal with what brought him to his knees to begin with, what made him an addict, what made him try to numb his shine.
- 13:22SPEAKER_00: And when he meets Abra, you know, right before she does this Uno reversal on Rose the Hat, he tells her, hide your shine, dim your shine, don't let them see you because it's very dangerous.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: You have to essentially lock yourself down and make yourself undetectable like I did, because that's the only way that you can avoid their conquering of you and their overtaking of you.
- 13:48SPEAKER_00: Because he was so afraid.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: Like he's very powerful.
- 13:51SPEAKER_00: He might be as powerful as she is, actually, if he wouldn't have been so traumatized.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: But she's lived a very, much more stable life than him.
- 13:59SPEAKER_00: And so, but he's trying to protect her in the only way that he knows how, which is avoid, like avoid them, don't engage them.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: And so when she engages Rose the Hat, you know, I've talked about in this series as part of many soul meetings and episodes that what you do affects a lot more than just yourself, it affects the people around you.
- 14:19SPEAKER_00: I think it affects the greater collective world as well, the like energetic grid of the world.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: So when Abra chooses to confront Rose the Hat directly, it affects Danny too, because Danny, you know, is starting to have a bond with her and he wants to protect her because she is representative of when he was a kid.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: So he's starting to feel that pull of, well, maybe there's more to protecting protecting myself than just avoiding.
- 14:48SPEAKER_00: Maybe I can actually embrace my shine.
- 14:51SPEAKER_00: Maybe I can actually wield my inner power when there are forces that are going to try to take it by force, which in this case would be completely defensive posturing.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: Like he's not trying to attack anybody, but he's also not going to let himself be, you know, relegated to a corner where he can hide and hope they don't see him in the dark.
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Like she's bringing him out of his in the last bit of his refusal to deal with all those things.
- 15:20SPEAKER_00: But in terms of the scene where, you know, Abra reverses this, it's so and this is something that we really have, I think, a great deal more natural capacity for when we're kids.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: But the fact that she transforms herself into that superhero girl on her nightstands, you know, that's her individualized representation of her power is really cool because I think when we get older, we kind of lose that imagination capacity.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: We get kind of flattened down into, you know, this is how you have to represent yourself, this is how you have to present, this is how you have to live.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: And she takes something that is uniquely important to her and represents power, and she turns into that, she embodies that to combat Rose the Hat, which is so cool.
- 16:12SPEAKER_00: And after, you know, she does that, she just gets more and more sure of her power because Rose the Hat keeps coming up short, keeps getting mangled, keeps getting pushed back.
- 16:23SPEAKER_00: And you know, Rose the Hat isn't smart enough to quit.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: She pushes it all the way to her own demise.
- 16:27SPEAKER_00: But it's like Abra just sees more and more when I stand in my power, when I stand in my inner strength, when I am not joining the energy of the ego, not trying to, you know, be vengeful, because that's what gets Snake Bite Andy in trouble.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Is she goes into the vengeance, like the hatred side.
- 16:45SPEAKER_00: Abra's just very much like, this is my space, these are my boundaries, this is my person, this is my being, this is my energy, and you will not fucking take it.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: You know, that's her, that's her stance.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: It's like, I'm not going to let you overtake me, I'm not gonna let you violate me, I'm not gonna let you claim my space.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: My space is mine to occupy.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: That's that's the stance that she has, and that really is, I think, a divine marriage of feminine and masculine because she is still, she's calm, she's sure, and her feminine, like she has the foundation, and then she takes the actions to protect her space, which is confronting her directly.
- 17:27SPEAKER_00: She doesn't hide from her, she confronts her, and she does this in you know strategic ways throughout the movie, up until the final battle.
- 17:37SPEAKER_00: You know, Danny does protect her because she's a kid, but she still stands in her power in the face of energy that would try to overtake her at every turn.
- 17:47SPEAKER_00: She always maintains her ground, she doesn't seed ground, she doesn't run from fear, and since she's not afraid, you know, that is what gives her the power to handle the true not and forces like the true knot.
- 18:02SPEAKER_00: So I think the scene where she pulls that reversal is very important to see that as long as you don't give into because there is so much fear in the system and there is so much fear around you, but if you can maintain your, you know, individual energy and you can stand in your center, it cannot consume you, it cannot overtake you, I think is a very important lesson to learn from that scene.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I do find it funny too that Rose the Hat, she comes in, you know, confident and smug and arrogant.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: And then as soon as she can't control what she does, now, mind you, she's the one who infiltrated Abra's house, went into her room, tried to go into her mind.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: So she was like a burglar trying to go into a house and she got caught.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: And as soon as she doesn't have the power and the control and the upper hand and the domination, we see just how rageful, hateful, actually very weak and insecure she is because she immediately gets like offended.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: We we hear her say this to her clan when she gets back.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: She was in my mind, she was stealing.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: And it's like, bitch, that's what you do all the time.
- 19:18SPEAKER_00: Like you steal, you steal from children all the time.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Like, that's all you guys do, and not only steal, but they kill all these kids and you know, lure them away like a creepy predator in a park, and then they do what they want and take their shine and save their shine and you know, use it as rations for later so they can keep living by being energy vampires, you know.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: And so it's very funny that she's offended when Abra didn't even go out of her way to try to take Rose the Hat's mind.
- 19:53SPEAKER_00: She just wanted to push her out of hers and then also give her a taste of her own medicine.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: But she was like legitimately offended that Abra did that, and you know, now because what you put out there, because they are very much masters of the fear system, then she gets a lot of fear back because they, you know, then then they're afraid that she knows.
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Like, you know, what does she know?
- 20:16SPEAKER_00: And she's like, I don't know what she knows, but she was in my mind and I don't know what she saw.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: Like, so now every terrible thing that they've done, which, you know, she's been around for hundreds of years, probably, they don't know if Abra knows.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: And so they're no longer in the shadows in the dark.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: She's shed a light on them, she's exposed them, and that makes them very fearful because they're used to always having the power, the control.
- 20:45SPEAKER_00: They get to decide what happens, they get to bury the evidence like they did with Bradley Trevor.
- 20:50SPEAKER_00: They don't ever get held accountable.
- 20:52SPEAKER_00: And so now that she has figured out a way to reverse that power back onto them, it's like all that fear that they've lived through and at that they've exercised against other people comes back to them.
- 21:07SPEAKER_00: And it's like, yeah, that's a very terrifying thing.
- 21:09SPEAKER_00: And that's where you start to see just how entrenched and and embedded the ego is, because certain people, some things like that would humble them, some things like that would get them to, you know, have a course correction inquiry of their life.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: They'd be like, do I want to keep going on this path where the fear catches up to me, or do I want to maybe, you know, do I want to keep going?
- 21:36SPEAKER_00: Do I want to maybe reassess?
- 21:38SPEAKER_00: Like they would think about that, but instead, she just doubles down on, well, you know, we're gonna figure out how to get her.
- 21:47SPEAKER_00: And that's where they keep getting into even more and more trouble, like the true knot.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: I love that they're called the true knot because they keep knotting themselves more and more instead of untangling the knot.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: They just get more knotted up because Rose the Hat refuses to take that incident of her trying to go into Abra's mind and be like, well, you know, there's other steam that I can control.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: That's why I go back to kind of the God of the Old Testament, the Autobayo god of the there are no other gods, you know, before me or above me.
- 22:20SPEAKER_00: It's like she can't tolerate that there's an energy that she cannot possess.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: She could possess a hundred, two hundred thousands of kids with shine, but that's not enough for her because she knows that there's a shine that's stronger than her fear system to try to control it.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: And that drives her crazy because it upsets her power position.
- 22:43SPEAKER_00: And it's like, that's the ego for you.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: It's like, you know, they can have everything but one thing.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: And that one thing that they can't have, they become obsessed with if their ego's strong enough.
- 22:53SPEAKER_00: And that's exactly what happens with her.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: And we see this happen with, you know, I'm sure people in your lives that you might know that are just fixated on one thing that isn't going the way their ego wants it to go.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: And instead of being able to see what all they do have, what they can do with their gifts, they spend their time trying to essentially capture this external power source because they are so depleted internally because they've maybe lived in a way that they've tried to obtain external power.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: And so this is what they just get obsessed with.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: So that's essentially the soul meaning.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: I think I think it's very just very ingenious and exceptionally impressive for a young girl.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Because we know Abra is, they say a teenage girl, but I don't know, like maybe 14, 13, 15, something like that.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Like she's she's just a kid, and even Rose the Hat says, You're just a fucking child, you know?
- 23:54SPEAKER_00: And it's like, yeah, even a child in their divinity, not in fear, but in their divinity, is more powerful than an adult in ego, because divinity is your internal power.
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's your soul, it's your spirit, it's your it's your energy, it's your essence, it's your shine, it's your magic.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: And we see that when if you didn't happen to hear the opal special I did, that's why I led with Opal into this because you know, her father does the same thing that Rose the Hat tries to do to Abra.
- 24:26SPEAKER_00: He takes her shine, he takes her magic.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: And Opal is afraid, very much like Danny's afraid.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: And eventually Opal, through therapy, becomes more like Abra, and she's able to reclaim her energy and cast out that darkness, and she has a shield of light that when her father tries to take her magic, it just bounces off of her.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: And Abra has the same shield around her.
- 24:59SPEAKER_00: She just has more of a more of a spicier defense, I guess, because she she does deliver some of those lines to them, like that they deserve what happens, and that they she reverses what they say to the kids that they kill.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: Pain purifies steam, fear too, so you understand.
- 25:17SPEAKER_00: Like she throws their energy back at them to, like I said, she's a mirror.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: She's really a mirror to how twisted and knotted the true knot really is, which I that's why I love that scene where she reverses it on Rose the Hat.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: To get into a personal mirror here, so I wish I had the courage of Abra.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: I would say at this point in my life, I am more like Danny.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: I would say actually, I'm kind of at the precipice of approaching where Danny finally integrates completely.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: Because I would say that, like, you know, I didn't have like a substance abuse addiction, but I, you know, I have my own addictions.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: I've talked about this a little bit in the different series I've done, like the Mirror of Erase said with the love addiction and the validation seeking, which I know our culture tends to categorize addictions differently, like, oh, this one's better and this one's worse.
- 26:12SPEAKER_00: I think all addictions, all external mistakes of needing certain power sources takes you away from your divinity.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: It doesn't really matter what it is.
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: I think it can be more severe in terms of degree, and you could definitely argue certain addictions take like a more either expensive toll or just like physical toll on you.
- 26:34SPEAKER_00: Like substance abuse obviously has a demonstrated like chemical and physical toll it takes on your body.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: But an addiction's an addiction, an external power seeking mistake in lieu of your internal power, actual source that you have is still going to lead you away from divinity.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: So I would say I wish I was like Abra.
- 26:56SPEAKER_00: I would say I'm more like Danny in the sense that I probably would have told her the same thing like lay low, be safe.
- 27:03SPEAKER_00: I can really relate to Danny's character a lot in this movie because he you know had a tra traumatic childhood.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: He's he's very afraid.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: He knows that he has power, but he really does think that the best way to live with it is to, and Rose the Hat brings this up, but hiding his light under a bushel.
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: He he does not show his power, he keeps it locked away.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: And I still am in that state, I would say.
- 27:34SPEAKER_00: I definitely locked down my shine, my power, hid under, in my case, being a fairly masculine, you know, lesbian woman, I would say I hid in the masculine energy because for me, like, and this is why I can relate to Snake Bite Andy's character as well, the things that men did to me that I've seen men do to people that I care about, uh, terrible things.
- 27:59SPEAKER_00: I mean, you keep seeing it in the news too, and all around our culture, how brutalized women have been.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: Like, my answer to that was actually to, and I'm gonna bring in another movie just to explain this, but like Danny did, like he hid, I did the same thing.
- 28:16SPEAKER_00: And it reminds me of the movie Predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger, that 80s movie where he doesn't fight the predator directly at first.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: He accidentally discovers when he covers himself in mud that the predator's like thermodynamic reading cannot see him.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: And for me, looking at my life, that is like the closest movie image I can think of, at least off the top of my head, that explains what I did because I absolutely made a decision, probably subconsciously or unconsciously, that it was safer to occupy masculine energy than to take the route that most women take, which is to be more feminine.
- 28:59SPEAKER_00: Because I just saw the women in my family, not just my own mother, but the women, period, in my family, how they were towered over, they were pushed to the side, they were essentially put in a place that made the men comfortable in their lives.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: And so I was like, no, I'll put the mud on and hide from the predator, hide from the men, essentially, and occupy the masculine energy.
- 29:33SPEAKER_00: And I'm learning, and I'm still in process of this, because I thought there were only two options.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: I thought, okay, I can either be, I can either occupy the energy that I've seen dominate, or I can be dominated.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: And what I tried to do, and this was my good ego, which is still not divinity, but I tried to occupy masculine enough that I would be off the radar, but still not abuse it as I had seen it be abused, and essentially just be, I guess, benign, just live under the radar, very much like how Danny does.
- 30:07SPEAKER_00: You know, Danny obviously doesn't want to be a monster.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: He doesn't want to be like the ghosts of the overlook hotel, but he also doesn't feel safe enough to be like Abra either.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: So he tried to numb his shine, which was his way of trying to stay off the radar and not be overtaken by a clan like the true knot.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of us live that way.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: I mean, I can, like I said, I think I have way more in common with Danny than Abra, although I wish I was more like Abra, maybe someday I will get there.
- 30:38SPEAKER_00: But like it's very understandable when you have trauma that you try to live under the radar.
- 30:44SPEAKER_00: You try to not draw attention because you don't want a force like the true knot, like people who are energetic vampires, to especially because you see all this shit.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: So it's like you have deep capacity, you have a lot of emotional food for them.
- 30:59SPEAKER_00: If you see this stuff, you try to live under the radar.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of us do that.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: And it takes someone like Abra to remind you that no, you don't have to live in fear because even living under the radar, like as successful as Danny is, and Dick tells him this later, you know, it seems to me you grew up fine, son, but you still owe a debt.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: Pay it because he stabilized himself, but stability is not divinity.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: You know, getting away from the substances, that's great.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Like he he does a lot of work, he comes a long way, but he still hasn't excavated into that like rooted, almost completely embodied fear.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Like he is still living in that because he's still living in a way that dims his shine, that dims his inner light, his magic.
- 31:54SPEAKER_00: And it takes Abra to show him you don't have to live in fear.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: You can actually face this, you can actually stand toe-to-toe with it.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: Not in an arrogant way, not in a I'm gonna look for trouble kind of way.
- 32:10SPEAKER_00: But if trouble comes to you, you can handle it.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: You don't have to, you know, hide in the corner and hope they don't see you.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: Like that, that's not the only way to live.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: And I think that that's really we, this is like the scene, that's why I wanted to cover it, where she pulls that reverse on Rose the Hat.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: That is what I think all of us need that are still living under the radar in fear, afraid to live from our internal power.
- 32:36SPEAKER_00: Sometimes someone needs to come into our lives to show us actually, you can be very powerful.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: And that doesn't mean that your power is gonna get taken.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Because that's exactly why he doesn't live from his power.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: He just doesn't want it to be taken.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: He wants to live his simple life, he wants to do good things, he wants to help people.
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: You know, Billy gets him into a community, he's got a job, he's got a place to live, he's off the street, he's not doing drugs and drinking anymore.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Like he's stable.
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: And he's like, Well, at least I'm stable.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: Like, that's also more than my dad ever did.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm not hurting anybody like he hurt me, but he's still living with this fear.
- 33:13SPEAKER_00: And so it's like if he hadn't broken out of his fear, you know, Abra would have been more, much more primed to be kidnapped, you know, because yes, she's more powerful than Rose the Hat, but there's they still have numbers.
- 33:26SPEAKER_00: So it's like if he hadn't stepped up to help her, they might have claimed her too.
- 33:31SPEAKER_00: And it's like that's why I say your decisions, like Abra changes Danny, and Danny also changes Abra too, because Abra is wild, untamed.
- 33:41SPEAKER_00: She's a little bit I guess reckless is kind of true because if she didn't have Danny to help her, she might have gotten overtaken.
- 33:49SPEAKER_00: So Danny does bring in some caution to her, but she brings out his courage and his bravery.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: And so it's like they are in character form, you know, masculine, feminine, when you combine them, that is the state of divinity.
- 34:05SPEAKER_00: And so I wanted to go over that scene because this is so we see Abra's true power, and then we start to see Danny being pulled out of the fear state he's been living in.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: So that's why I wanted to cover that.
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: And I don't have any off the top of my head divine dialogue questions, but I guess I would close this out with asking when if you've watched the movie, do you think that you're more like Abra, who would stand in the face of energy like Rose the Hats, like the true knots?
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: Or do you think you're more like Danny where you try to live quietly, you try to dim your inner light, you try to not make waves, and you just kind of try to essentially live in a little piece of paradise of the world, but you're always on guard that someone will try to take it.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: Like which energy do you think you occupy more?
- 34:59SPEAKER_00: And like I said, for me, I I think I definitely am more in Danny's energetic frequency, but I think we if we could all strive to be like Abra, that would be a very divine place to be.
- 35:09SPEAKER_00: So, with that, divine listeners, I will go ahead and leave it there.
- 35:13SPEAKER_00: Again, if you are new here, thank you so much for joining.
- 35:15SPEAKER_00: Please like, share, subscribe.
- 35:17SPEAKER_00: Episodes do drop every Friday at 9 a.m.
- 35:21SPEAKER_00: Arizona time, in addition to specials that do get released here and there.
- 35:27SPEAKER_00: In this month of October, I will be releasing a special because it's going to help lead into the next series we're going to go into.
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: It's going to be because um Back to the Future 2's anniversary is coming up.
- 35:40SPEAKER_00: So I forget exactly off the top of my head what date that is, but there will be an episode released on a specific scene in Back to the Future part two to commemorate the anniversary.
- 35:52SPEAKER_00: And we do have two more episodes of Dr.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: Sleep to get through before we go into the next series, which I will announce as we get closer to that.
- 36:01SPEAKER_00: And as always, thank you so much for joining me.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: And just remember that your inner power is much stronger than the ego if you can just remember not to succumb to the fear state.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: And with that, I will see you next Friday.
