- 0:02Speaker 1: This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Welcome to Girls Gone Hallmark, a Hallmark review podcast. I'm
- 0:25Speaker 2: Megan and I'm a longtime Hallmark fan.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I'm Wendy. I'm a former Hallmark hater.
- 0:29Speaker 2: This is it, guys, don't get scared now. We are
- 0:32Speaker 2: discussing the Finding Mister Christmas season two finale, Crowning Mister Christmas,
- 0:40Speaker 2: which originally aired on the Hallmark Channel on Monday, December fifteenth,
- 0:43Speaker 2: and is currently available to stream on Hallmark Plus two.
- 0:48Speaker 1: How are you feeling? How are you feeling?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Oh, it's a mix of emotions. I was happy to
- 0:53Speaker 2: see the winner. I was happy to see it come together.
- 0:56Speaker 2: It was a fun episode in a lot of ways.
- 0:59Speaker 1: But I'm saying to see this series go for this season.
- 1:03Speaker 1: I feel like we had the same thoughts last year
- 1:06Speaker 1: at the end of season one. Yeah, it's like the
- 1:09Speaker 1: day after Christmas.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Or actually, for me, I start to say let down
- 1:16Speaker 2: at about noon on Christmas Day.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm like, it's over. Yeah, I don't. I don't recognize
- 1:23Speaker 1: that feeling whatsoever. So that's so interesting. Yeah.
- 1:27Speaker 2: No, that's why Christmas Eve is my favorite, because there's
- 1:30Speaker 2: still like it's it's still anticipatory Christmas Morning is like
- 1:34Speaker 2: that's the end going into the episode where you're like, Okay,
- 1:38Speaker 2: this is my Christmas Eve.
- 1:39Speaker 1: And then like like sitting down to watch it. Yeah,
- 1:43Speaker 1: I guess we still have the movie to look forward to.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so that will extend our enjoyment of the series
- 1:49Speaker 2: a little bit more. It was a good time for me.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I enjoyed it.
- 1:52Speaker 1: How are you feeling? I will say I was not
- 1:58Speaker 1: as disappointed I was with season one. Season one, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: was shocked at the winner. I thought Elijah was gonna
- 2:05Speaker 1: win season one, so I was just like completely mind
- 2:08Speaker 1: blown when he did it. This one, to me, honestly
- 2:12Speaker 1: felt like it came down to Craig and rust In.
- 2:16Speaker 1: So I didn't. I wasn't leaning one particular way.
- 2:21Speaker 2: No, I wasn't either. I really the whole time was
- 2:23Speaker 2: like I could see it going either way. And for
- 2:25Speaker 2: the last couple episodes, I've been like I could see
- 2:27Speaker 2: it going either way. So yeah, yeah, but here we are,
- 2:30Speaker 2: here we are speaking of the holiday season. You know
- 2:33Speaker 2: what a great gift is You can give the gift
- 2:37Speaker 2: of a Patreon subscription to your favorite fan of Megan

- 2:45Speaker 2: subscription over there, and that's a full year of content.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Episodes drop in Monday, Peek behind the Curtain, a little,
- 2:54Speaker 2: a little pop culture, a little behind the scenes, a
- 2:57Speaker 2: little life Lately for just five dollars a month, you guys.
- 3:01Speaker 1: A little spiral, a little crash out, a little you know,
- 3:06Speaker 1: we keep it real loose.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Over got at all, Patreon dot com, slash Megan and Wendy.
- 3:10Speaker 2: You can give it as a gift, you can purchase
- 3:12Speaker 2: it for yourself, and of course you can pay monthly
- 3:14Speaker 2: as well.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Your first week is.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Completely free, and you do have access to the entire
- 3:19Speaker 2: back catalog, so you can check it out and see
- 3:21Speaker 2: what you're getting over there, especially because we are heading
- 3:25Speaker 2: into a time period where many podcasts are going to
- 3:29Speaker 2: take a little bit of a break. Not us, We're
- 3:31Speaker 2: not taking a week off, but some will. And you're
- 3:34Speaker 2: going to need something to listen to over the holiday season,
- 3:37Speaker 2: Yeah you will.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Are you ready for synopsis for episode eight, Crowny Mister
- 3:43Speaker 1: Christmas guest Aaron Craco joins Jonathan Bennett and Melissa Peterman
- 3:50Speaker 1: to step back in time and into the story, acting
- 3:53Speaker 1: alongside the finalist in a holiday scene with a romantic
- 3:56Speaker 1: Christmas kiss and one man is crowned Miss Stir Christmas,
- 4:01Speaker 1: it is our last day in the house. Got the
- 4:03Speaker 1: final three boys are having coffee together, and I do
- 4:05Speaker 1: believe Angel has gotten a haircut. Yes, I noticed that
- 4:10Speaker 1: as well. Would they bring somebody in? How does that work?
- 4:15Speaker 1: I have so many questions because I'm like, what is
- 4:18Speaker 1: the time frame and all this stuff? We talked about
- 4:20Speaker 1: it either last week or the week before, but you know,
- 4:25Speaker 1: is this a three week period? Is this a six
- 4:28Speaker 1: week period? I don't know, And I imagine you need
- 4:32Speaker 1: a guy needs a haircut during that time.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been the only noticeable one for me, but
- 4:37Speaker 2: I definitely noticed it, and I'm sure they all got
- 4:39Speaker 2: like just a little.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Cleaned up before the finale totally. Did you also notice
- 4:45Speaker 1: in this episode too, they were talking about drinking coffee
- 4:47Speaker 1: and Craig's like, I don't drink coffee. I never have
- 4:49Speaker 1: And I was like, okay, superhero, I didn't notice. Yeah,
- 4:55Speaker 1: Resident did give him a little bit of a hard time,
- 4:57Speaker 1: but I was like that, I don't know, that's like
- 4:59Speaker 1: not a fl I said, I'm into I don't drink coffee,
- 5:02Speaker 1: but wait a minute, do I talk like Craig this
- 5:06Speaker 1: where I don't drink coffee, I drink tea? No, I no.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Did it come off that he was trying to flex
- 5:14Speaker 1: like I'm naturally caffeinated or was it just like a
- 5:17Speaker 1: I thought so oh, And I thought so yeah. But
- 5:21Speaker 1: it's such like a throwaway little conversation I totally missed.
- 5:25Speaker 1: It has nothing to do with winning the leading role
- 5:29Speaker 1: in a Homewark movie, whatsoever? Powered by adrenaline.
- 5:34Speaker 2: Well, this is the classic last episode of a reality
- 5:36Speaker 2: series where we reminisce about our good times together. We
- 5:40Speaker 2: get some flashbacks, some highlights. We're just filling the space.
- 5:45Speaker 2: At this point.
- 5:46Speaker 1: We are did you happen to catch? Because we talked
- 5:50Speaker 1: about it in our previous episode. But Russen was like,
- 5:54Speaker 1: I can't believe our three sockings are hanging next to
- 5:56Speaker 1: each other on the mantle.
- 5:59Speaker 2: Not only did I catch, I went back to episode
- 6:01Speaker 2: one and these stockings were hung there initially.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Wow, that's so weird. M I love that you went
- 6:11Speaker 1: back and did the due diligence. Thank you. Only I
- 6:14Speaker 1: was only reminded when Rustin said it because I thought, oh, yeah,
- 6:18Speaker 1: have they been there this whole time? Or was he
- 6:20Speaker 1: just like Oh, it's blowing my mind like we're the
- 6:21Speaker 1: final three, right, So that's the difference between me and you.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I have been thinking about those stockings since our conversation
- 6:27Speaker 1: about it last week. Were they there initially or did
- 6:32Speaker 1: they put them there?
- 6:33Speaker 2: I definitely thought about it, but you know, for the
- 6:36Speaker 2: entire week, it's been a bridge too far for me
- 6:37Speaker 2: to open up the first episode and scrub to that moment.
- 6:41Speaker 2: But I had to pause episode eight, open episode one
- 6:46Speaker 2: and check it out so we have our answer too.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Funny. Yeah, the guys here, they are reflecting a little
- 6:53Speaker 1: bit on their journey. For their journey. You know, I
- 6:57Speaker 1: hate the word journey, but it's appropriate here, I guess.
- 7:01Speaker 1: You know. Craig talks about how he's showing more colors
- 7:05Speaker 1: of himself, he's really opening up, and Reston talks about
- 7:09Speaker 1: growth and failure and grit, and Restin says about himself
- 7:14Speaker 1: he is the truest version of himself in a scene,
- 7:18Speaker 1: so I thought that was really interesting. And then Angel
- 7:22Speaker 1: Angel talks about himself as being flirtatious and charismatic, which
- 7:27Speaker 1: is true, but he also just really wants to prove
- 7:30Speaker 1: that he's leading man material. M M. How do you
- 7:34Speaker 1: feel at this point about the guys. Yeah, well, I
- 7:38Speaker 1: think they all.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Have a good sense of who they are. I think
- 7:43Speaker 2: that comment about leading man material is kind of interesting
- 7:46Speaker 2: given some of the social media feedback we've scene and
- 7:49Speaker 2: knowing this was filmed obviously before they would have seen
- 7:51Speaker 2: any of that.
- 7:52Speaker 1: M Yeah, right, right, Especially, you know, if you think
- 7:56Speaker 1: back to the earlier episodes and how Angel has talked
- 7:59Speaker 1: about being bullied, and yeah, I actually was thinking about that.
- 8:04Speaker 2: They flashed on angel Santa scene with him about how
- 8:08Speaker 2: he's all about giving love and showing heart, and I thought, oh,
- 8:10Speaker 2: that's that's really interesting. If you think back to the
- 8:12Speaker 2: guy's Santas, Craig really was like the jokester and brought
- 8:17Speaker 2: the Santini and he had to kind of grow from that,
- 8:19Speaker 2: Like he really like his journey revolved around bold moves
- 8:23Speaker 2: and being the funny guy. And Angel's story they really did.
- 8:27Speaker 2: That is the story he told about. He talked about,
- 8:30Speaker 2: I want people to know if you're bullied that people
- 8:33Speaker 2: are here for you, and that story continued throughout. That
- 8:37Speaker 2: wasn't just a throwaway bit for the opening episode.
- 8:42Speaker 1: True.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Definitely, we get a group hug in the kitchen, We
- 8:45Speaker 2: flashed the Balsam Hill Tree, the Balsom Hill Christmas ornament,
- 8:49Speaker 2: and in comes Jonathan, followed by one Christopher.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Polaha, his special, his special guest, my friend. I mean,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I think they are buddies, my friend. Yeah, I don't know.
- 9:04Speaker 1: My notes say casual Denim Daddy walks in.
- 9:08Speaker 2: You know, they're sitting next to each other on the couch,
- 9:10Speaker 2: and I such a cliche, but I just am like, Tam,
- 9:14Speaker 2: these guys look good, and I feel like Jonathan. You know,
- 9:17Speaker 2: we're the biggest fans of Chris Plat, but I feel
- 9:19Speaker 2: like Jonathan just keeps getting better looking as he ages.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Like, I don't think he's everything better. I agree with that.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I do agree with that, and I know this is
- 9:28Speaker 1: in like April or May that they film this. He's
- 9:30Speaker 1: got like a real nice golden glow about him as well,
- 9:34Speaker 1: which makes me miss summer. But yeah, he looks fantastic. Agree.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Rustin's like Billmore. Christmas is my favorite movie, Hallmark movie,
- 9:44Speaker 2: So I'm glad to have Chris here.
- 9:45Speaker 1: I'm like, is that the only movie that you know?
- 9:47Speaker 1: I mean, I like to throw a little shade at
- 9:49Speaker 1: these guys because I assume that they are not out
- 9:51Speaker 1: here churning through the full countdown to Christmas catalog every year. Yeah,
- 9:56Speaker 1: I would like to get into like a pop culture
- 10:01Speaker 1: Hallmark trivia quiz with any of these guys and absolutely
- 10:06Speaker 1: destroy them. I don't think they know, and there's no
- 10:10Speaker 1: shade like this is just not the world that they
- 10:12Speaker 1: live in, right for sure? Of course they know Billmore
- 10:17Speaker 1: because if anybody doing any sort of Hallmark research knows
- 10:20Speaker 1: like that was such a huge movie and has such
- 10:23Speaker 1: a cult following, you know.
- 10:26Speaker 2: It shows up on every list of like what's the
- 10:27Speaker 2: best Hallmark Christmas movie? It's exactly exactly. This is when
- 10:32Speaker 2: Chris is talking about he's giving this advice, and he
- 10:35Speaker 2: talked about his first movie with Megan Markle. And I
- 10:38Speaker 2: gotta say, first of all, I like how he says,
- 10:41Speaker 2: your role is just to support her, like make her
- 10:44Speaker 2: look good, be there for her.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Support her through the role. That's the role of the
- 10:48Speaker 1: leaning man.
- 10:49Speaker 2: But what my notes say is like my attentions man
- 10:51Speaker 2: kind of fades off and it's just like a dream sequence,
- 10:54Speaker 2: Like the screen is like Pink and Hazy with cartoon hearts.
- 10:58Speaker 2: As Chris is talking to the guys, Honest, I think
- 11:00Speaker 2: they probably feel the same way, because that's what we do.
- 11:03Speaker 1: When we talk with Chris. Yeah, I think he charms everyone.
- 11:08Speaker 1: He does. He definitely does. I mean he likes to
- 11:12Speaker 1: Aaha fans. They just I'm one of them. I understand.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I get all clammy and I can't talk to him.
- 11:19Speaker 1: I just want to sit there and stare at him
- 11:21Speaker 1: when my big stupid heart eye emojis. You know, I
- 11:25Speaker 1: still have the video on my fight from I know,
- 11:29Speaker 1: Oh God, so embarrassing. But I love that he low
- 11:33Speaker 1: key drops that. He's like my first Hallmark movie was
- 11:35Speaker 1: with Megan Merkle, Right, yeah, and low key guys, that's
- 11:39Speaker 1: a great movie. Dater's Handbook is a really good movie.
- 11:43Speaker 1: It is really good.
- 11:43Speaker 2: It's cute, and that we watched that before we were
- 11:47Speaker 2: Chris Palaha's super fans. President of the fan club. I
- 11:51Speaker 2: think we have some listeners who I know I was
- 11:53Speaker 2: gonna say, move over, don't worry, don't worry, We're not
- 11:57Speaker 2: coming for you. Guys know we're we're proud members. That's right,
- 12:01Speaker 2: proud members.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Jonathan then goes on to give what I can only
- 12:05Speaker 1: describe as his proud Papa speech. He is just so
- 12:09Speaker 1: proud of the guys. How far they've come, what they've learned.
- 12:14Speaker 1: He gets emotional, which sometimes I'm like, is this I
- 12:19Speaker 1: can Sometimes I'm like, is he acting here? But honestly,
- 12:23Speaker 1: I don't think he is, because I know how like,
- 12:26Speaker 1: this is his baby, right, this is his project, so
- 12:31Speaker 1: I too would probably become very invested in the people
- 12:37Speaker 1: who were part of my project. So I find his
- 12:41Speaker 1: emotion here believable. I do think proud papa is the
- 12:45Speaker 1: right description. Like, when you watch your kid doing something
- 12:48Speaker 1: that they're really good at, don't you get emotional?
- 12:51Speaker 2: Of course, yeah, I think it's like that. He's like,
- 12:53Speaker 2: look at how far you've come. You're doing it. I
- 12:56Speaker 2: know that people are like, oh, Jonathan's crying again, but
- 13:00Speaker 2: I think it's genuine. I think I kind of like it.
- 13:03Speaker 2: I like the emotion as a fellow crier. Before we
- 13:08Speaker 2: move on to no festive face off straight to the scenes,
- 13:12Speaker 2: the guys do a I'm gonna shine chant together.
- 13:15Speaker 1: On their way out the door. Yeah. I wonder who
- 13:18Speaker 1: came up with that I'm gonna shine? Is that what
- 13:21Speaker 1: they said, I'm gonna shine? I think so I may
- 13:23Speaker 1: have mad sh up, but that's what my notes. So no,
- 13:26Speaker 1: I think you're right. I can't remember. I don't have
- 13:28Speaker 1: it written down exactly, but I think you're right. I'm
- 13:31Speaker 1: gonna shine. It's sweet. I like it.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Let's take a quick break and we're gonna come right
- 13:36Speaker 2: back with our final star Quality Challenge. So we are
- 13:48Speaker 2: on location today with our star Quality Challenge, and we're
- 13:51Speaker 2: at a vintage train station, which I love. But I
- 13:54Speaker 2: have to stop right now and ask you. When we
- 13:56Speaker 2: pull up, Melissa and jonathanne are in full period clothing.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Are you like a little bit? Yeah, Wendy doesn't love
- 14:05Speaker 2: a period piece.
- 14:08Speaker 1: I don't, but it's fine because it's I don't have
- 14:11Speaker 1: to watch a movie, an hour and twenty five minute movie. Yeah,
- 14:15Speaker 1: so it's okay. What's funny is that? To me? Is
- 14:20Speaker 1: this a working train station? What's happening here?
- 14:23Speaker 2: I don't thank you because my husband was like, they
- 14:26Speaker 2: just shut down the train station this whole time, and
- 14:28Speaker 2: they called it a vintage train station. I think it's
- 14:31Speaker 2: more like a museum. That's my that's the story that.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I'm putting on. What state is this in Utah? Herbert
- 14:39Speaker 1: Valley Railroad? That's it?
- 14:42Speaker 3: Is it like a museum?
- 14:45Speaker 1: Rock and roll train? Oh? What is that? North Pole Express. Oh,
- 14:50Speaker 1: it must actually Monday night train. It is a train ride.
- 14:54Speaker 1: It looks like they do, like for an experience. I
- 14:58Speaker 1: don't think it's for transportation inspretation.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so a few little details. Melissa and Jonathan are
- 15:03Speaker 2: going to be in the scene with them, which I'm
- 15:04Speaker 2: happy about. Aaron Craco is our leading lady, which if
- 15:08Speaker 2: you have to do a period piece, it's just the
- 15:11Speaker 2: perfect pairing.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And McLean Nelson is here as director. I feel like
- 15:17Speaker 1: we know him and we don't know him. No, we don't.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Just from a few DMS, you feel like we're his buddy. Yeah. Yeah, like, oh,
- 15:24Speaker 1: that's my friend McLay Nelson. I even tried to like
- 15:27Speaker 1: flex to my daughter who was watching with him. I
- 15:29Speaker 1: was like, oh, I've talked to him a couple of
- 15:31Speaker 1: times in the DMS. He does, I'm like, shut up, Wendy, Wow,
- 15:36Speaker 1: so unlikable. I don't drink coffee and I know McLean
- 15:42Speaker 1: Nelson quick little digits.
- 15:46Speaker 2: That moment Jonathan's speech to the dudes is fully adr
- 15:49Speaker 2: over clips of them looking at him as he's explaining
- 15:52Speaker 2: the run of the day.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I caught that, Yeah, I caught that. I wish I
- 15:56Speaker 1: could adr myself In this podcast Hey also, Jonathan explains
- 16:03Speaker 1: that they are going this whole star quality challenge. It
- 16:07Speaker 1: is the cointessential Hallmark finale moment. You're gonna chase the girl,
- 16:11Speaker 1: you're gonna professor love, You're gonna end the scene with
- 16:13Speaker 1: a holiday kiss. How do you feel about the scenes
- 16:18Speaker 1: as a whole? Is this something you would watch? I'm
- 16:20Speaker 1: telling you right now for me, like a period piece
- 16:22Speaker 1: like this, and it's not for me, No, it's not
- 16:24Speaker 1: for Meg. No, it was.
- 16:26Speaker 2: It was a little earnest for me, but because it
- 16:29Speaker 2: was only ninety seconds long, I was into it. Melissa
- 16:32Speaker 2: Peterman brought it for me. But idiot is a little
- 16:35Speaker 2: bit like I gotta get my girl. And then I
- 16:37Speaker 2: did feel like Chris Palaha was channeling his Scrooge character
- 16:41Speaker 2: a little bit.
- 16:42Speaker 1: Oh, I wrote the same thing down that's so funny.
- 16:48Speaker 1: You stay it out and we can get into the
- 16:49Speaker 1: details of like their their scenes and their takes. But
- 16:53Speaker 1: Chris Palaha I wrote the same thing. I was like, Oh,
- 16:55Speaker 1: it's kind of like his Scrooge moment from that movie.
- 16:58Speaker 1: But then all of a sudden, watching him do his
- 17:01Speaker 1: part over and over again because we saw it six times. Yeah,
- 17:04Speaker 1: I was like his energy. To me was like you
- 17:07Speaker 1: go Glencoco energy.
- 17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, for sure, Like he switched it up real quick,
- 17:14Speaker 2: get your girl, Oh my gosh.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, is this we I would watch?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Honestly, probably not, but it was fun to see them
- 17:22Speaker 2: pull it off. And there were a lot of moving parts.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Yeah, a ton a ton. So a part of the
- 17:29Speaker 1: challenges they the guys get each two takes for each scene,
- 17:35Speaker 1: and direction matters how they take directions, their presence, the chemistry,
- 17:42Speaker 1: you know, it's there's a lot, like you said, a
- 17:44Speaker 1: lot of moving parts to give us the whole picture.
- 17:47Speaker 1: If they can be the next Hallmark leading man. Yes.
- 17:52Speaker 2: And in their first setup there with Melissa Peterman and
- 17:56Speaker 2: McClean tells us that he gave her permission to improv
- 17:59Speaker 2: because she's the queen.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Now.
- 18:01Speaker 2: To me, I was like, oh, this is Wendy's improv
- 18:03Speaker 2: moment that she's been waiting for. Yeah, my husband's watching
- 18:07Speaker 2: with me. He's like, that's not there. And I it
- 18:09Speaker 2: was kind of a curveball that they threw with the
- 18:12Speaker 2: guys not not even telling them like be prepared for.
- 18:15Speaker 1: A little bit of improv. They just had to roll
- 18:17Speaker 1: with the punches. I still stand I want to standalone
- 18:23Speaker 1: improv episode, especially with multipater wan participating exactly, so Angel's
- 18:29Speaker 1: that first. I think Angel rolls with the improv first
- 18:32Speaker 1: of all, I think all the guys do like none
- 18:34Speaker 1: of them's like, oh shit, what do I say next?
- 18:37Speaker 1: M Yeah, Angel drops out Malady and that's a full
- 18:42Speaker 1: callback to the to the alley Alley. They showed that
- 18:49Speaker 1: clip in this episode. I think too, the Malia clip
- 18:52Speaker 1: interesting enough. I might rage out as somebody called the
- 18:55Speaker 1: malady you know what I mean, malady. I kind of
- 18:58Speaker 1: raged up the other day at the grocer store. Some
- 19:00Speaker 1: call me ma'am. I was like, no, did you really?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I want to be called miss call me ma'am. I
- 19:07Speaker 1: think the ship is sailed for both of us, and
- 19:10Speaker 1: I think you need me to find a new podcast
- 19:12Speaker 1: partner with those words, girls, I'm just saying, what's the
- 19:15Speaker 1: threshold for miss one hundred? I should be carded still
- 19:22Speaker 1: at a bar restaurant? Okay.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Angel's feedback after his first scene is that McLean wants
- 19:32Speaker 2: him to be a little more physical and urgent. So
- 19:36Speaker 2: when Angel does his second scene, I'm like.
- 19:39Speaker 1: I don't see a difference. I didn't really see a
- 19:42Speaker 1: difference either.
- 19:44Speaker 2: To be fair, in all of these scenes, I don't
- 19:47Speaker 2: see huge differences in any of them. There's not like,
- 19:50Speaker 2: oh my gosh, but I did see little bits in pieces,
- 19:54Speaker 2: and I really there was nothing noticeable to me about
- 19:56Speaker 2: Angels first to second.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't see. There wasn't complete one eighty different
- 20:03Speaker 1: direction between two scenes, which I guess I don't know.
- 20:08Speaker 1: I'm not an actor, nor am I a director. I
- 20:10Speaker 1: don't make movies, so I don't know what I would
- 20:12Speaker 1: want from my actor. If I'm only getting two scenes,
- 20:15Speaker 1: or I'm only getting two takes at it, don't go
- 20:20Speaker 1: swing one big way one way and then the other.
- 20:23Speaker 1: You know, you got to give me a little something
- 20:25Speaker 1: of the same, I guess, right.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Well, and you know McLean is there after their second take.
- 20:31Speaker 2: He's not going to give them any more direction because
- 20:33Speaker 2: it's not helpful. They're not going to redo the scene,
- 20:36Speaker 2: so we don't really know how he actually feels about
- 20:39Speaker 2: the change.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Was it big enough? Did they make the change?
- 20:42Speaker 2: You know, it's a very like everyone gets a trophy
- 20:44Speaker 2: energy after the second scene. Sure, yeah, definitely, which I understand.
- 20:48Speaker 2: They got to go to another one. You don't want
- 20:49Speaker 2: to be like, well, that wasn't it, but let's move on.
- 20:53Speaker 1: That's not it, but okay. Scene.
- 20:56Speaker 2: My husband has like so many hot takes on this show,
- 21:00Speaker 2: and as they're coming in, he's like, I want one
- 21:03Speaker 2: of them to like stop and say like, ooh, nice
- 21:05Speaker 2: dress to the lady in the entry. And then and
- 21:08Speaker 2: then Craig does that. Yeah, He's like, oh, you both
- 21:12Speaker 2: looks fabulous, And I was like, look at you.
- 21:14Speaker 1: And then my husband's like he should have like taken
- 21:16Speaker 1: her and twirled her around or something too, And I
- 21:18Speaker 1: was like, Okay, he doesn't have that much time. He
- 21:20Speaker 1: is trying to catch the train. He's got to catch
- 21:25Speaker 1: the love of his life. Stop effing around with the
- 21:29Speaker 1: other people here. You need to go to Melissa at
- 21:31Speaker 1: the window and find out where the train is. Well MC.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I started calling McLean Mac in my notes, but I
- 21:38Speaker 2: won't call him that in the episode because I don't
- 21:41Speaker 2: like it when people nickname people who don't know them. Sure, Meg,
- 21:46Speaker 2: it's a perfectly fine name. It's just not mine. Seem
- 21:48Speaker 2: to punch up the energy, and I'll be honest, I
- 21:51Speaker 2: think Craig does.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Yeah. I find him loose and charming, like he's ready
- 21:55Speaker 1: to go, like he his was the one of the
- 21:58Speaker 1: few of the three I saw just the tiniest, tiniest pivot.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I agree, Okay, what do you think about Rustin? I
- 22:06Speaker 1: like Rustin. I like his energy. I think he was
- 22:11Speaker 1: smooth at the improv thing. I liked when Melissa like
- 22:14Speaker 1: leans over and she like is pretending to talk to
- 22:16Speaker 1: like her colleague next to her or whatever, and he's like,
- 22:21Speaker 1: how you doing or whatever, how are you? I love that.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I liked it. I was gonna say I thought you
- 22:27Speaker 1: didn't like it. I liked it. No.
- 22:29Speaker 2: I actually, Rustin's so charming, and Jonathan's like the camera
- 22:32Speaker 2: likes him, and the camera does like him. But that moment,
- 22:35Speaker 2: that big smile, he's like, hey, Garrett, how are you?
- 22:37Speaker 2: It was amazing. He was real natural.
- 22:39Speaker 1: Now.
- 22:40Speaker 2: It didn't see a big difference between his two scenes,
- 22:42Speaker 2: but I did think he did well. The biggest change
- 22:45Speaker 2: mcclaim wanted him to make was he kind of missed
- 22:47Speaker 2: his mark a little bit and so he was getting
- 22:49Speaker 2: a little bit of a shadow and McLean's like, you
- 22:50Speaker 2: got a really square up tightly on this mark.
- 22:52Speaker 1: And I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well then I
- 22:57Speaker 1: watched the second one so closely and I was like,
- 22:59Speaker 1: do I see a shadow on his face? I mean
- 23:02Speaker 1: I didn't. No. My concern was as like he was
- 23:07Speaker 1: like running off to go grab the train. And then
- 23:11Speaker 1: he says his last line where some of the other
- 23:13Speaker 1: guys like say it right in front of the window. Yes,
- 23:16Speaker 1: that was.
- 23:16Speaker 2: Very interesting, and the first time my husband's like, oh
- 23:20Speaker 2: he turned around too soon, like before she had called
- 23:22Speaker 2: out to him.
- 23:23Speaker 1: I was like, well, okay, oh, look at mister director
- 23:26Speaker 1: over there. Seriously, that's gonna be his second act. Okay.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Now we have an outdoor train scene in McLean and
- 23:33Speaker 2: the I don't know who that woman is, but they
- 23:35Speaker 2: do kind of like a walk through with the guys
- 23:37Speaker 2: of all their little obstacles. I'm like, man, that's a
- 23:40Speaker 2: lot like you gotta jump over the suitcase and move
- 23:42Speaker 2: the wood out of the way and crash into Christopher Polaha.
- 23:45Speaker 1: It's just so much going on, very choreographed, very Angel's
- 23:51Speaker 1: up first again. McLean thinks he looks nervous. That's not great, No,
- 23:58Speaker 1: and he tells him after's scene he wants to feel
- 24:01Speaker 1: joy and romance, not action movie intensity. Now did you
- 24:05Speaker 1: see the pivot in his second take?
- 24:08Speaker 2: Well, what I noticed is there's and which may have
- 24:11Speaker 2: been there the first time that I didn't notice. There's
- 24:13Speaker 2: a cinematic music swell behind him. Oh, and I find
- 24:17Speaker 2: his performance to be warmer the second time.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Warmer. I thought it was more joyful, like he was
- 24:24Speaker 1: like running after there's urgency, but it's not dire urgency.
- 24:29Speaker 1: It's joyful urgency. Yes you know, Yeah, you're not running
- 24:34Speaker 1: to catch the bad guy, You're running to catch the girl. Yeah, exactly.
- 24:37Speaker 2: This is where I'm like, Chris is bringing his screage
- 24:40Speaker 2: energy to this scene. I just love it when he yells, hey,
- 24:42Speaker 2: watch it there. I'm given a little too Brooklyn, but
- 24:44Speaker 2: he uh, I really I just loved watching him yell
- 24:47Speaker 2: at these guys and then go get your girl.
- 24:49Speaker 3: I loved it.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I mean, Chris nails it every single time, every single time.
- 24:53Speaker 1: And this is why he's done twenty five movies in
- 24:55Speaker 1: two years or whatever. It is a lot of movies
- 24:58Speaker 1: in ten years. Yes, by the way, did you spot
- 25:01Speaker 1: Sydney from Marry Movie Club on the bench? Briefly? Yes?
- 25:04Speaker 1: I did, only because I saw your DM. Otherwise I
- 25:06Speaker 1: don't think I would have. I don't think I would.
- 25:08Speaker 1: There were so many like extras and people and quick
- 25:11Speaker 1: moving parts. Yeah, yeah, I saw her and I dam
- 25:15Speaker 1: I'm like, are you in the finale fighting mister Christmas?
- 25:17Speaker 1: And she is.
- 25:19Speaker 2: Rusten's up And I got to say, after he does
- 25:22Speaker 2: his first take, Melissa and McLean are all smiles. Oh,
- 25:25Speaker 2: they were super stoked at his performance.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Ah.
- 25:30Speaker 2: Yeah, And he's fun to watch. He's got a great,
- 25:34Speaker 2: big smile. He just like looks people dead in the eye.
- 25:38Speaker 2: He's fun.
- 25:39Speaker 1: Well, if you go back to what he said at
- 25:42Speaker 1: the beginning of the episode, he talks about how he
- 25:45Speaker 1: gives his the truest version of himself in these scenes,
- 25:48Speaker 1: and there's something about that, like it's not like he's acting.
- 25:53Speaker 1: He's realistically reacting to his partner or whatever is happening
- 25:58Speaker 1: in this scene. Like he to me at this point
- 26:01Speaker 1: in the episode, I'm like, it's it's Rustin's, it's Rustin's.
- 26:05Speaker 1: He's going to take it home. Mm hmmm, Yeah, it's
- 26:08Speaker 1: his to lose. At this point, Craig is up next.
- 26:11Speaker 1: He in my opinion, really rushes his first take interesting
- 26:16Speaker 1: and McLean thinks it feels tense and it's kind of
- 26:18Speaker 1: the same note he gives Angel about action movies. Well,
- 26:21Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you what I notice here in
- 26:23Speaker 1: this scene. What if you recall Craig is a former
- 26:27Speaker 1: D one football player. Oh, does he do a little
- 26:29Speaker 1: Heisman move? That's I don't know about a Heisman move,
- 26:33Speaker 1: but I do see a little like jukying, Like he
- 26:35Speaker 1: was like juke and that suitcase, you know a little
- 26:40Speaker 1: and the suitcase. I don't know if you noticed this.
- 26:42Speaker 1: The suitcase doesn't fall as far as it did in
- 26:45Speaker 1: the for the other guys, and so he's coming around
- 26:48Speaker 1: the corner and the suitcase like he could have just
- 26:51Speaker 1: ran right past it, but he has to like move
- 26:54Speaker 1: himself like that's where he does his little juke to
- 26:56Speaker 1: jump over that suitcase.
- 26:59Speaker 2: Yeah, an heisman Chris Palah, Yeah. Melissa and McLean do
- 27:06Speaker 2: celebrate after his second take, so it seems like he
- 27:08Speaker 2: nailed it for them.
- 27:09Speaker 1: This pumping bad. You know.
- 27:13Speaker 2: He does say at the beginning, like I want to
- 27:15Speaker 2: be very coachable and directable, and I think they're definitely
- 27:19Speaker 2: looking for that in these in these baby actors, Like
- 27:22Speaker 2: they want someone who's going to take direction on set
- 27:24Speaker 2: because they're gonna need some direction.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Yeah, and someone like Craig who has played sports his
- 27:30Speaker 1: entire life, right, you have to be coachable to be.
- 27:35Speaker 3: A good athlete.
- 27:37Speaker 1: I mean, you don't have to be coachable to be
- 27:39Speaker 1: a good athlete, but being coachable is an asset. Yes, exactly,
- 27:43Speaker 1: thank you. And now it's the kiss scene.
- 27:46Speaker 2: How do you feel about Aaron having to kiss these
- 27:48Speaker 2: guys so many times, so many of them.
- 27:51Speaker 1: I think it's just comes with the job. I did
- 27:53Speaker 1: like her at the end, She's like, it's a living
- 27:55Speaker 1: She did make me laugh. Yeah, she'd made me laugh too.
- 27:58Speaker 1: Did you notice Restin fully misses his mark on his
- 28:02Speaker 1: first take? Oh yeah, he missed the whole dosey dough situation.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Aaron had like swoop into position for him. Yeah. Yeah,
- 28:11Speaker 1: that's unfortunate for him. Now, I wonder when it comes
- 28:14Speaker 1: down to the elimination deliberation situation where they like, well,
- 28:17Speaker 1: you know, Ruston missed his mark twice. You know, he
- 28:21Speaker 1: does it in the first scene he gets the shadows
- 28:24Speaker 1: on the rice and then and then he kind of
- 28:26Speaker 1: like misses it here or too. But does that mean
- 28:28Speaker 1: he's not coachable or can't listen to the director? Great question?
- 28:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 28:34Speaker 2: He does sell me on the emotion, Yes, me too.
- 28:38Speaker 2: His second take is great. However, I find his kiss
- 28:42Speaker 2: to be the weakest of the three.
- 28:44Speaker 1: But that's what it says in my notes too. It
- 28:47Speaker 1: was like a whisper of a kiss. There was nothing
- 28:50Speaker 1: steamy about it. I thought about our smoochimeter and the
- 28:54Speaker 1: arrow was barely raising herede.
- 28:56Speaker 2: My husband goes, that's a smoochimeter of one.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Okay, I have so many notes about Craig. Okay. First up,
- 29:07Speaker 1: he's whispering again. I know. Okay, I have the same
- 29:12Speaker 1: thing too, whisper acting. I feel like this might be
- 29:16Speaker 1: again I'm not an actor, but I think this might
- 29:19Speaker 1: be something that a person might rely on when they're
- 29:22Speaker 1: trying to convey emotion. One hundred percent. I think you're correct.
- 29:27Speaker 2: He needs to be trained to use that whisper sparingly.
- 29:32Speaker 2: His second take, in my opinion, is better than his first,
- 29:35Speaker 2: and he has.
- 29:36Speaker 1: A great kiss, very good kiss, so much higher on
- 29:41Speaker 1: this smoutrometer. But I don't know if you notice he
- 29:44Speaker 1: goes in for the premature kiss before Aaron has delivered
- 29:48Speaker 1: hers I love you line in the first take. Interesting,
- 29:53Speaker 1: he rushed, It's yeah, he rushes it. It's fixed in
- 29:56Speaker 1: the second take, like, it's no problem. Both kisses very good.
- 30:00Speaker 2: In Rustin scene. He in his second take, he takes
- 30:03Speaker 2: Aaron's suitcase and sets it down before they have their
- 30:06Speaker 2: emotional moment. In the other scenes she sets it down.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Were they supposed to take it? And did they all
- 30:11Speaker 2: miss the cue or what do you think did I
- 30:14Speaker 2: didn't hear them talk about that.
- 30:16Speaker 1: I didn't hear them talk about it. I did notice
- 30:18Speaker 1: it as well. This is where I wish we had
- 30:22Speaker 1: more inside baseball of what exact Papa video. Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 30:29Speaker 1: If we had a better explanation of what was to
- 30:33Speaker 1: be expected from each guy would really be helpful. And
- 30:38Speaker 1: then Angel before his scene, connects with Aaron by asking
- 30:42Speaker 1: her what she loves in life and shocks about her dog,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and they're just He's getting into the moment. Angel's just
- 30:48Speaker 1: a sweetie. Yeah, And I found his kiss to be Okay,
- 30:51Speaker 1: it wasn't knocking to be off my feet, but it
- 30:53Speaker 1: was sincere. I think it was right in the middle
- 30:56Speaker 1: of the two kisses. The other two kisses. McClain says
- 31:00Speaker 1: Angel went more sad than romantic in this scene. I
- 31:04Speaker 1: have to agree with that. You could imagine there's a
- 31:08Speaker 1: disconnect right because McClay nelson told him, like as Angel
- 31:13Speaker 1: is running for that scene where he's like running through
- 31:15Speaker 1: all the obstacles or whatever he needs to be more joyful,
- 31:19Speaker 1: like right, And then he gets to the scene with
- 31:23Speaker 1: his girl and he's very emotional, like almost sad. So
- 31:28Speaker 1: I could see as a director like trying to put
- 31:30Speaker 1: these all these pieces together that wouldn't it wouldn't look
- 31:34Speaker 1: like one cohesive sort of.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah, arc he does make a choice to remove his
- 31:40Speaker 2: hat when he approaches her, and it really lands with
- 31:42Speaker 2: Jonathan and I didn't notice it the first time, but
- 31:44Speaker 2: he does it again in the second take, and it's
- 31:45Speaker 2: it's a good move.
- 31:47Speaker 1: Really. I like, yeah, I didn't, it didn't The other
- 31:50Speaker 1: two guys didn't bother me that they had their hats on.
- 31:52Speaker 2: No, I agree, it's not. It's not missing without it,
- 31:56Speaker 2: but it's it's just a choice. It's almost like he's
- 31:59Speaker 2: deferring to her by taking his hat off in front
- 32:01Speaker 2: of her.
- 32:02Speaker 1: Yeah. Interesting, it's all that mulady kind of. It's er
- 32:07Speaker 1: lady energy. Yep.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Yeah, it's time to debrief about our three guys. Aaron
- 32:12Speaker 2: says Restin was confident and grounded, but Jonathan thinks this
- 32:15Speaker 2: is the first time Ruston struggled.
- 32:18Speaker 1: I don't see it other than other than missing the mark,
- 32:24Speaker 1: I don't see it. Yeah, he's not struggling, in my opinion,
- 32:27Speaker 1: to bring the emotion or to connect with Aaron at all.
- 32:29Speaker 1: And he delivers dialogue really well. Yes, he misses his mark,
- 32:35Speaker 1: gets it the second time. Melissa goes on to talk
- 32:37Speaker 1: about Craig and Craig being a true leading man, and
- 32:41Speaker 1: Jonathan also mentions that he thought Craig was the only
- 32:44Speaker 1: one to bring some comedy, and I was like, what,
- 32:47Speaker 1: I don't remember seeing any comic relief in that scene,
- 32:52Speaker 1: did you? In the whole No, in any of the
- 32:55Speaker 1: three scenes? Yeah?
- 32:57Speaker 2: Really, I mean the only one that has comedic energy
- 33:00Speaker 2: for me is the opening scene with Melissa, and I
- 33:02Speaker 2: thought Craig and Rusten were kind of equivalent in their
- 33:05Speaker 2: delivery of that scene. Same Melissa said she saw leading
- 33:09Speaker 2: man energy. Aaron says, he's a breath of fresh air.
- 33:12Speaker 2: I mean to me, it's like, oh, okay, well there
- 33:15Speaker 2: it is, Yeah, there it is.
- 33:17Speaker 1: The writing is on the wall, right, yeah, right.
- 33:19Speaker 2: I thought McLean's note about Angel that the emotion he
- 33:23Speaker 2: brought to the scene made it more about him and
- 33:27Speaker 2: not about Aaron.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Very interesting that we got a director to explain that
- 33:31Speaker 1: to us. We need that. I think when they make
- 33:34Speaker 1: this show, they have to realize the audience watching does
- 33:37Speaker 1: not make movies right, right, and so we need more
- 33:42Speaker 1: explanation from the professional point of view. I think as
- 33:47Speaker 1: a viewer, that's what I think.
- 33:48Speaker 2: Absolutely, let's take a quick break and we'll come right
- 33:51Speaker 2: back for the finale.
- 33:52Speaker 3: In the elimination case, it's.
- 34:02Speaker 2: Our final time in our elimination cave. And yes, they
- 34:05Speaker 2: are all wearing the same.
- 34:06Speaker 1: Thing, Megan, you just can't believe it, can you.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Well, it's funny because I was doing something else and
- 34:12Speaker 2: I was pulling photos from earlier episodes, and I was like,
- 34:15Speaker 2: look at that episode one. Craig's in the green, Rusden's
- 34:18Speaker 2: in the white, and it's very interesting because they're in red,
- 34:20Speaker 2: white and green, the three of them lined up next
- 34:22Speaker 2: to each other.
- 34:23Speaker 1: Yeah, and Jonathan's wearing red. Yeah as well. Vibe a
- 34:29Speaker 1: little bit well. I actually was thinking it was giving
- 34:33Speaker 1: Marcus the Magic Trick kind of eyes. Didn't Marcus have
- 34:37Speaker 1: like red and black on that night too, when he's
- 34:39Speaker 1: doing his card Marcus the Magician? Yeah, yeah, exactly, Shade.
- 34:45Speaker 1: I love Jonathan.
- 34:45Speaker 2: He looks great always so the feedback is rust en
- 34:49Speaker 2: rolled with the punches. Craig infuses the heart and the
- 34:51Speaker 2: humor and shows depth, and Angel approaches things from a
- 34:54Speaker 2: personal level.
- 34:55Speaker 1: Because he is an EmPATH.
- 34:58Speaker 2: But it's time to crown mister Christmas. I thought we
- 35:01Speaker 2: were gonna like eliminate someone.
- 35:02Speaker 1: First, Yeah, give us down to a final two. Yeah,
- 35:06Speaker 1: but maybe they didn't want to do that. I don't.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 35:08Speaker 1: I kind of did they do that last year. I
- 35:10Speaker 1: kind of thought we had we got down to a
- 35:12Speaker 1: final two, but I don't remember. I thought I thought
- 35:15Speaker 1: they eliminated Hayden and then it was Elijah and Ezra.
- 35:20Speaker 1: Have I made that up? Or maybe they eliminated Elijah
- 35:23Speaker 1: and it was Hayden and Ezra. I don't. I don't remember.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Yes, actually, I think you might be right. Regardless, they
- 35:29Speaker 2: don't do that. They go straight in. Jonathan thinks everyone
- 35:32Speaker 2: can be a star. But our mister Christmas is Santini,
- 35:37Speaker 2: Craig Santini.
- 35:41Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, I was kind of surprised how
- 35:43Speaker 1: short and fast this whole scene was. I feel like
- 35:48Speaker 1: we got to like they're gonna draw it out a
- 35:51Speaker 1: little bit. I have to assume it was longer, and
- 35:53Speaker 1: it just got cut for time because they wanted to
- 35:55Speaker 1: show us so much of the scenes, but like, cut
- 35:58Speaker 1: the coffee talk up top exactly. Give me a remember
- 36:02Speaker 1: when Survivor would be like, I'll meet you guys back
- 36:05Speaker 1: in Hollywood and reveal the winner of the season. And
- 36:09Speaker 1: it's six months later. Yeah, draw out a little bit,
- 36:13Speaker 1: like you need to build the tension of who is
- 36:16Speaker 1: gonna win. Can you imagine they're like see in November.
- 36:21Speaker 1: I think that would be amazing.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Quite Actually, I did see one of the other podcasts
- 36:27Speaker 2: I believe it was do you watch what I watched?
- 36:29Speaker 2: Saying what do you think about the audience voting for
- 36:32Speaker 2: finding mister Christmas? What are your thoughts on that?
- 36:34Speaker 1: Considering that we've done like some voting on our own
- 36:37Speaker 1: freakin' Instagram and it went real sideways, I say, no.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Don't do that.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it would be a logistical nightmare, honestly,
- 36:46Speaker 2: But I do think it's an interesting idea to talk about,
- 36:50Speaker 2: like who the audience likes what we see happening on screen.
- 36:53Speaker 1: We're not movie makers.
- 36:54Speaker 2: And so Jonathan and Melissa and the people behind the
- 36:57Speaker 2: scenes maybe know a little bit more about this than
- 37:00Speaker 2: we do as much as we have a lot of opinions.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, did you see the fallout of Dancing
- 37:05Speaker 1: with the Stars this season? I liked, Yeah, I think
- 37:08Speaker 1: it's in theory. I think it's a great idea to
- 37:12Speaker 1: get your audience engaged and involved and talking about it.
- 37:16Speaker 1: It would be great. On the other hand, I agree
- 37:19Speaker 1: with you, it would be a logistical nightmare.
- 37:22Speaker 2: I do find it funny that at the end, Jonathan's like,
- 37:25Speaker 2: and I think my own missus Christmas, Melissa Peterman and
- 37:28Speaker 2: Balsam Hill, but not a word to poor little Aaron Craco.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Oh I didn't notice. Maybe he thinked or but not
- 37:34Speaker 1: it didn't make the cut. They're like, we got to
- 37:36Speaker 1: get that last Balsam Hill mention in here. That's right,
- 37:40Speaker 1: And we see Craig's final scene. I feel like we
- 37:42Speaker 1: had seen it. I wish we had seen, you know,
- 37:46Speaker 1: they had given us so much in like the breakdowns
- 37:49Speaker 1: of the scenes in that portion of the episode. I
- 37:52Speaker 1: almost wish maybe shorten that a hair and then give
- 37:55Speaker 1: us let's watch all three scenes and then let's determine
- 38:00Speaker 1: the winner. Right, Yes, that's good. I like that. Hopefully
- 38:05Speaker 1: maybe extended cut on Homewark Plus will include everyone's scenes,
- 38:10Speaker 1: That's what I was going to say. I was like,
- 38:11Speaker 1: maybe a they'll drop an extended cut on Homewark, Plus
- 38:14Speaker 1: that would be amazing. And honestly, while I was watching this,
- 38:18Speaker 1: I was like, I would like to watch a making
- 38:21Speaker 1: of the show. Have we talked about that before? It
- 38:24Speaker 1: sounds familiar. Well, Robbie said that the casting of the
- 38:28Speaker 1: show could be its own. Oh yeah, that's right. But
- 38:31Speaker 1: even like just the making of the show, like the
- 38:34Speaker 1: making of a reality TV show, would be so interesting
- 38:37Speaker 1: to watch. Yeah, even as just a single episode of
- 38:40Speaker 1: behind the scenes episode. I gotta ask you, did you
- 38:43Speaker 1: think Craig was surprised that he won? That's a good question.
- 38:46Speaker 1: My eyes were on Rustin, yeah, Sully, because I assumed
- 38:52Speaker 1: Russin was going to be the winner. Actually I didn't assume,
- 38:54Speaker 1: because I thought it was obvious when they were having
- 38:57Speaker 1: their debrief about who they liked the best. But I
- 39:00Speaker 1: wanted to watch Rustin because going into the final scene,
- 39:03Speaker 1: he was like, look, I really want this, and he's
- 39:05Speaker 1: been saying it for weeks. I'm here to win it.
- 39:07Speaker 1: I want this, I'm here to win it. And I
- 39:09Speaker 1: wanted to see his reaction when his name wasn't called,
- 39:12Speaker 1: and he was so excited for Craig, And I was like,
- 39:15Speaker 1: I don't know if that's top tier acting there or
- 39:19Speaker 1: true enthusiasm for this person that you have created a
- 39:23Speaker 1: bond with over all this weeks. But I thought both
- 39:26Speaker 1: guys Angel and Rustin both were like very complimentary and
- 39:30Speaker 1: nice too. They were excited for him.
- 39:32Speaker 2: You know, it's funny that you say that because I
- 39:34Speaker 2: was also watching Rustin because he was smiling during Jonathan's
- 39:38Speaker 2: speech and then he just had this big, thrilled look
- 39:42Speaker 2: on his face for Craig, So I didn't actually see
- 39:44Speaker 2: Craig's initial reaction. You're right that Rustin had a big,
- 39:48Speaker 2: genuine looking happy for you man look on his face.
- 39:53Speaker 1: Yeah, like, look at you. Now. I'm going to stand
- 39:56Speaker 1: by what I've said for weeks. I do think that
- 39:58Speaker 1: Craig is best suited for comedy, So I hope, I
- 40:05Speaker 1: hope the movie that he is put in and if
- 40:08Speaker 1: he does anything else in the future for Hallmark, it
- 40:11Speaker 1: has a strong comedy vibe to it.
- 40:14Speaker 2: Agree, Craig the comedian, bring it more calm the comedian, Yeah,
- 40:18Speaker 2: more calm less whisper, Hey, thank you for listening to
- 40:22Speaker 2: this episode of Girls Gone Hallmark, a Bramble Gym podcast.
