- 0:23chickens. Hey everybody.
- 0:28Good morning from the chicken coop.
- 0:30Even though it's morning, I want to talk to you about a nighttime
- 0:34ritual that I have that I think is incredibly important and that
- 0:38is asking yourself what did I learn today?
- 0:41So we all understand the how important learning is to us as
- 0:46human beings and the more we learn, the more we actually are
- 0:50able to learn because we're constantly stretching our brain
- 0:53and we're constantly burning nor more neural Pathways and our
- 0:57neural plasticity just takes off and it becomes something.
- 1:00Oh, that's vital to our health and our mental well-being and
- 1:04feeling abundant, like we are growing and like, we are going
- 1:07in the right direction. But a big part of that process
- 1:11is acknowledging, the fact that we are actually learning
- 1:14something. So I have a ritual that I do
- 1:18every day and I sit down at the end of every day and I say to
- 1:23myself, what did I learn today? And it could be something as
- 1:25silly as. You know what, flowers?
- 1:28This was something that I learned earlier.
- 1:30What flowers grow well in the Heat and by understanding what
- 1:33flowers grow. Well in the heat, I'm going to
- 1:35have a better flower garden next year, but I couldn't do that
- 1:39without actually do taking the time to say, I've got to learn
- 1:42something. I'm going to push myself to
- 1:44learn something new every day, and that is a hard ritual that I
- 1:48go through. Meaning, there is no negotiable
- 1:53part of my day. That I say, I'm going to let go
- 1:55of and I'm not going to do this. I'm just going to let it go.
- 1:57Doesn't matter from on vacation, doesn't matter what I'm doing.
- 2:00That is, Question, I ask myself that is a question that I expect
- 2:03answers to Everyday and if I didn't learn something, I don't
- 2:06want to go to sleep until I learn something.
- 2:08So, I might pick up a book, I might grab it and read even just
- 2:11two pages. But every day, it's an absolute
- 2:14necessity to do that it can be even just looking at a recipe.
- 2:18Something that you know, I learned to do since I have all
- 2:21these chickens always looking for recipes that have a lot of
- 2:25eggs because I X here and one of the important things is to use
- 2:29them. I give them A to people all the
- 2:32time, I do not sell my eggs, as they are, just two gifts from my
- 2:35chickens and I like to give them to people.
- 2:36So one of the things I try to do is try to find as many recipes
- 2:41as I can for all the eggs and then get to use them.
- 2:44And to me that's fun, that's just, you know, turning things
- 2:48into something wonderful, making it something different and
- 2:51teaches me, something to how many things can I do with eggs?
- 2:55What's the recipe? I haven't tried before, all
- 2:58learning all things that put you.
- 3:00You on a growth path. And growing is so important
- 3:04learning things about others around you, learn something
- 3:07about other people, too. That is part of growth.
- 3:11It can be random subjects that you've never actually do Vin to
- 3:15before, but you wanted to, but you've resisted It, Go and dive
- 3:19in. Go see what it is.
- 3:20Do these things that set you up so that you can win and I
- 3:25promise you, you're going to see a massive difference in your
- 3:29mood just by Doing these little things like you have a win.
- 3:32It's kind of like that mentality that the military has about.
- 3:35Having you make your bed, when you make your bed every day, you
- 3:38always have a win. When will you learn something
- 3:40new? Even if it's a small as a
- 3:42recipe, I try to find out, chicken facts, all the time,
- 3:45small stupid chicken facts. Like, I just learned recently.
- 3:48The chickens can understand up to 80 words.
- 3:51Well, who knew that? But it was one stupid little
- 3:54thing that I Googled. And guess what?
- 3:56I learned something, so, I can say OK.
- 3:58I know what I learned new today, and there are other times when
- 4:00When I learn a lot in one day, if I'm reading a whole book and
- 4:04I sit down and I'm at the beach, and I read 17 chapters in the
- 4:07book that's going to give me a huge win all at once, because I
- 4:10just figured out a lot of information very quickly.
- 4:14So, again, it can be a variety of different ways that you do
- 4:18it, but putting yourself in that category and asking that
- 4:22question, what did I learn? Today will help break the
- 4:25patterns of being stuck where you are.
- 4:27It will help move you forward and make you feel better about
- 4:30Where you are and it's also going to give you a vast push in
- 4:35your just ability to be in a great state of mind because you
- 4:39feel like you're being a you know, on a growth path instead
- 4:43of being stuck where you are and anytime we're growing, we're
- 4:46feeling good anytime, we're moving in a direction that makes
- 4:48us feel empowered and, and vital and learning, we just feel
- 4:54better overall. So in a world where things don't
- 4:56always feel so great, this is something that you can control.
- 5:00Troll. Nobody else can control it for
- 5:02you. Only you can control it and the
- 5:04more you push to control it, the better off you are.
- 5:07So I'm going to encourage you to find a list of things sit down
- 5:11and say, what are the things I want to learn about?
- 5:12And it can be random, it can be, you know, going on.
- 5:16God knows, YouTube is just such a great place to just go.
- 5:19Look at random stuff that you want to learn, and you may never
- 5:21end up doing it. You may never end up doing any
- 5:24of this stuff that you watch, but guess what?
- 5:26It's so super cool. Just to know.
- 5:28Hey I have an idea of how to do that.
- 5:31And for me, I think that just having that little bit of extra
- 5:36every day in a place where you can be drained so quickly.
- 5:40This makes all the difference if you are with people and you can
- 5:44discuss things that are different, guess what?
- 5:47It's going to make you feel more interesting is going to make you
- 5:50feel more vital and More Alive. So go learn something new today.
- 5:55Go have a fabulous day and then captured at night and say, what
- 5:58did I learn today? And really We make an effort to
- 6:01do it every day and I promise you, it's going to make a big
- 6:03difference in your life. I hope you guys have a blessed
- 6:06day and learn a lot. See you tomorrow.
- 6:08Bye.
