- 1:51Speaker 2: Welcome in. Glad to have you with us.
- 1:53Speaker 9: It is Overreaction Monday here with the writers. This portion
- 1:57Speaker 9: of the program brought to you by the Dollar Floor Store.
- 2:01Speaker 10: Rusty Burson is in. Robert Cessna is in.
- 2:04Speaker 9: Two weeks in a row. Cease, you have flunked the Aggies.
- 2:08Speaker 9: You've given them Fs.
- 2:12Speaker 2: I would say they earned them. Okay, I didn't know.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I didn't think A & M would win. I thought
- 2:21Speaker 2: LSU would win. I thought A & M would play
- 2:23Speaker 2: much better. One thing, I said I could have lost
- 2:26Speaker 2: a lot of money, which luckily you don't gamble. I
- 2:30Speaker 2: would have bet they'd play much better, and if you
- 2:32Speaker 2: told me, what's the odds you're going to score a touchdown?
- 2:36Speaker 2: And I'd say, well, gee, even if they get blown out,
- 2:38Speaker 2: they'll score a touchdown later, whatever. Surely they'll score a touchdown. But, man,
- 2:42Speaker 2: that was just a total, other than the special teams,
- 2:46Speaker 2: and even Reuben Owens couldn't catch that kickoff. He dropped
- 2:49Speaker 2: it at the one. That was pretty ugly to watch.
- 2:53Speaker 5: You know, I said last week that I didn't want
- 2:54Speaker 5: to overreact for one week. But I can overreact right now.
- 2:59Speaker 5: That game brought back memories.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Uh-oh.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Horrific memories of the 2015 Ole Miss game, which is
- 3:09Speaker 5: the last time the Aggies failed to score a touchdown.
- 3:12Speaker 11: If you remember, they ruined, some idiot coach ruined two
- 3:17Speaker 11: quarterbacks that night. Kyle Allen and Kyler Murray because Kyler
- 3:22Speaker 11: Murray was suspended and the cameras kept focusing on and
- 3:24Speaker 11: Kyle Allen was having a terrible game and someone threw
- 3:30Speaker 11: the quarterbacks under the bus.
- 3:31Speaker 2: Like two for 17 or whatever it was.
- 3:33Speaker 12: I wish.
- 3:33Speaker 5: After watching this game on Saturday night, I wish that
- 3:37Speaker 5: we had Kyle Allen or Kyler Murray or some other
- 3:40Speaker 5: option to go to because I lost all confidence in
- 3:44Speaker 5: Marcel the week before against Kentucky. I couldn't even understand
- 3:49Speaker 5: what he was doing out there against LSU. He threw
- 3:52Speaker 5: some passes that I'm like, why do you.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Even throw that?
- 3:57Speaker 5: What good is going to come?
- 3:58Speaker 2: Nothing. He's so far in his head, man.
- 4:01Speaker 5: And they got no other options.
- 4:02Speaker 10: None.
- 4:03Speaker 4: And so I'm not surprised that they got smashed.
- 4:06Speaker 5: And I would be surprised if they can get to
- 4:09Speaker 5: seven wins now.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Rusty, this is why I'm glad you're here and I'm
- 4:13Speaker 2: older than you. Because I had blocked out that Ole
- 4:15Speaker 2: Miss game. Because I do remember that. Now you bring
- 4:18Speaker 2: it back.
- 4:19Speaker 4: That's 11 years.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Both times.
- 4:23Speaker 10: Was that the game with the biggest crowd in Kyle
- 4:25Speaker 10: Field history?
- 4:25Speaker 4: No, no, that was at Ole Miss.
- 4:27Speaker 2: At Ole Miss. Oh, yeah, okay, okay.
- 4:30Speaker 5: And they scored three points. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's funny because I'm old. I get back to the
- 4:33Speaker 2: same things. In both these games, I felt like watching
- 4:36Speaker 2: the game was getting a root canal at the dentist.
- 4:40Speaker 5: My wife says, I've got to go read a book
- 4:42Speaker 5: because this is killing me. So in the third quarter,
- 4:45Speaker 5: she's like, you're on your own.
- 4:47Speaker 2: Well, here's the deal is, and I give Elko coming in,
- 4:52Speaker 2: man up, whatever. But I consider myself a novice football player.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I've never sat a coach or whatever. But the last
- 5:00Speaker 2: two weeks on both sides, what are they trying to do?
- 5:02Speaker 2: I mean, one of those passes, they sent three on defense.
- 5:07Speaker 2: They had a spy watching for Leavitt. And LSU beat
- 5:12Speaker 2: them deep. They threw a touchdown pass.
- 5:14Speaker 5: And you couldn't get to the one-legged quarterback.
- 5:17Speaker 2: And the one-legged quarterback. I thought they were bringing back
- 5:19Speaker 2: Gunsmoke with Chester. I go, like, get Marshall Dillon.
- 5:24Speaker 5: He'd get them. I like the reference there, man.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Marshall Dillon.
- 5:29Speaker 5: That's good. That's real good.
- 5:30Speaker 10: It's the old guy's Monday here. We always come up
- 5:34Speaker 10: with a couple of those.
- 5:35Speaker 13: Oh, yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 10: That's why our average audience listener is right around 75.
- 5:40Speaker 9: But that's okay.
- 5:43Speaker 2: You know what?
- 5:43Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 10: Us old people spend money, too.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That's exactly right.
- 5:47Speaker 5: That's exactly right.
- 5:48Speaker 10: Patronize our sponsors.
- 5:50Speaker 2: You know, you're right. I go, the guy's slipping more
- 5:53Speaker 2: each play, but nobody's hitting him. He's just slipping because
- 5:56Speaker 2: he's walking around.
- 5:58Speaker 5: All I heard about was Anto Saka all offseason.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Did he play?
- 6:03Speaker 4: Like, I think he played. Yeah, he did play.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I just.
- 6:07Speaker 5: I mean, he's kind of disappeared.
- 6:09Speaker 2: He must have got some bad Cajun food.
- 6:11Speaker 5: Maybe so.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Well, we've heard about a lot of those guys in preseason.
- 6:15Speaker 5: Did you see the LSU players kind of taunting the
- 6:17Speaker 5: Yell Eaters?
- 6:19Speaker 2: Okay, I heard that, but I missed a lot of things.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I missed A & M' s touchdown catch.
- 6:24Speaker 5: About the best thing you can say that A &
- 6:26Speaker 5: M didn't do is they didn't pretend like they were
- 6:27Speaker 5: peeing on the field.
- 6:29Speaker 10: Oh, my God. We'll get to that. I don't have.
- 6:33Speaker 9: Anto Saka in the– I don't have a participation chart,
- 6:39Speaker 9: but I don't have him down as making a tackle either.
- 6:43Speaker 5: I'm pretty sure he played, but let me double check.
- 6:45Speaker 5: He didn't make a tackle.
- 6:46Speaker 4: That says a lot.
- 6:48Speaker 2: Yeah, there he is, Anto Saka. I think his uniform
- 6:52Speaker 2: is pretty clean. You didn't have.
- 6:55Speaker 4: To wash it?
- 6:56Speaker 5: Mr.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Clean. Yeah, it was ugly. It was one of those.
- 7:00Speaker 5: You know what?
- 7:01Speaker 2: I think the most.
- 7:05Speaker 9: Disturbing part is– when you listen to players and you
- 7:10Speaker 9: listen to Elko. And Elko's always been really confident, right?
- 7:15Speaker 9: I mean, that's part of why he's been honest. He's
- 7:17Speaker 9: been confident about what he's doing and how he's doing it.
- 7:23Speaker 9: And today, and even after the game last week, I
- 7:27Speaker 9: get the sense he doesn't have any answers right now.
- 7:32Speaker 10: I'm not saying that makes him a bad coach. He
- 7:34Speaker 10: hasn't forgotten how to coach.
- 7:36Speaker 9: I just think this particular team has mystified him because
- 7:41Speaker 9: I know he thought they were going to be good.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I know he did. And I think he.
- 7:47Speaker 10: is really grasping at straws right now.
- 7:51Speaker 5: You know, I wouldn't be surprised. I mean, I wouldn't
- 7:53Speaker 5: be surprised if Arkansas came in here and beat them.
- 7:55Speaker 5: But the way they're playing with.
- 7:57Speaker 4: No confidence right now.
- 7:58Speaker 10: They don't have any.
- 7:58Speaker 5: I don't know which one of y'all asked the question
- 8:01Speaker 5: about the history of the series.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I did.
- 8:02Speaker 5: Okay, so that was great because you're exactly right.
- 8:06Speaker 4: Arkansas. Bad, really bad Arkansas teams.
- 8:09Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 8:10Speaker 5: This may be a bad Arkansas team. But they're going
- 8:12Speaker 5: to come in here of a lopsided way.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Hey, this is their chance to get a game, too.
- 8:16Speaker 4: It is their chance.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 8:17Speaker 4: And I'm telling you, with A & M' s.
- 8:19Speaker 5: Total lack of confidence, I don't think that these receivers
- 8:22Speaker 5: can have any confidence that Marcel can consistently get them
- 8:25Speaker 5: the ball.
- 8:26Speaker 10: You know, when you watch a lot of college football
- 8:29Speaker 10: like I do, and again– There are other issues besides,
- 8:34Speaker 10: and I think you acknowledge this, besides just Marcel.
- 8:37Speaker 2: There are lots of other issues.
- 8:39Speaker 9: When you have, and Chambliss wasn't good enough on Saturday
- 8:44Speaker 9: to beat him by himself because he didn't have his
- 8:47Speaker 9: running back with him. I'm talking about Chambliss and Ole Miss.
- 8:52Speaker 10: I picked Ole Miss because I thought he was good
- 8:55Speaker 10: enough to beat Florida. And I was wrong.
- 8:59Speaker 2: He was still okay.
- 9:02Speaker 10: But they were hung over from last week.
- 9:06Speaker 9: They were beaten up. They didn't have their best running
- 9:08Speaker 9: back and he wasn't good enough. But all these other
- 9:11Speaker 9: teams that I watch, when they have a quarterback, and
- 9:14Speaker 9: I'll just use Sam Leavitt, because when he's throw him
- 9:18Speaker 9: for 300 yards, and even before he was hurt running around,
- 9:23Speaker 9: you can tell the team's going to rally around that,
- 9:26Speaker 9: and they have the confidence that something's going to happen.
- 9:29Speaker 10: When you have a.
- 9:29Speaker 9: Quarterback that's struggling as bad as Marcel is, that's going
- 9:33Speaker 9: to affect both sides of the football, I believe.
- 9:36Speaker 4: You're exactly right. He completed 10 passes Saturday night.
- 9:41Speaker 5: One of the passes he completed was an amazing catch
- 9:44Speaker 5: by Aaron Gregory, reaching back behind him.
- 9:47Speaker 2: And it was like, He's like, come on, man.
- 9:50Speaker 5: You've got to, as a quarterback, as a big-time quarterback
- 9:53Speaker 5: in big-time football, you've got to.
- 9:54Speaker 2: Be able to lead those receivers.
- 9:56Speaker 5: Everybody's going to miss a pass or two or three,
- 10:00Speaker 5: but he's missing more than he's making.
- 10:02Speaker 10: I get Elko wanting to give.
- 10:08Speaker 9: His quarterback a vote of confidence when he clearly doesn't
- 10:10Speaker 9: have much right now. He's been pretty steadfast the last
- 10:16Speaker 9: two weeks with that. There's a couple of things at
- 10:18Speaker 9: play here. They see these guys every day, and I
- 10:22Speaker 9: know if he thought he had a better idea, we
- 10:28Speaker 9: would see one of the other two quarterbacks, right?
- 10:31Speaker 10: That's the first thing.
- 10:32Speaker 9: The second thing I would say is if Marcel starts
- 10:37Speaker 9: this game with the coming Saturday like we've seen the
- 10:41Speaker 9: last couple of weeks, whether you think that Your backup
- 10:48Speaker 9: can do it or not. Don't you have to put
- 10:50Speaker 9: him in the game?
- 10:52Speaker 2: Okay, here, getting back to a couple things. The era
- 10:56Speaker 2: of the transfer portal, the era we live in. And
- 10:59Speaker 2: he made a great statement today. He's making $ 3 million
- 11:01Speaker 2: a year.
- 11:02Speaker 14: Yes.
- 11:02Speaker 2: He's your quarterback.
- 11:03Speaker 9: And no one else is coming because he's the guy, right?
- 11:06Speaker 2: And you can't put any money into a backup quarterback
- 11:09Speaker 2: that's not going to see the field.
- 11:10Speaker 13: Right.
- 11:11Speaker 2: And if you're Mike Elko, like most coaches, let's say
- 11:13Speaker 2: I think he had I'm looking down. Seven, eight positions
- 11:17Speaker 2: he had a feel on through the portal. So he
- 11:21Speaker 2: gets these guys, and he's had a great year last year.
- 11:23Speaker 2: Won his first 11 games with a lot of transfers.
- 11:26Speaker 11: Yes.
- 11:26Speaker 2: So Elko's done well on a transfer. So he fills
- 11:28Speaker 2: all these holes. He feels good about life. Yes. He
- 11:32Speaker 2: comes out. They beat us. They look. Okay, against Missouri State.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Have trouble against Arizona. Now he's got all kind of
- 11:40Speaker 2: holes on both sides. He's sitting there and he goes, wow,
- 11:43Speaker 2: I thought I got somebody good to replace Cessna on
- 11:46Speaker 2: my show, Chip. And you go, the guy I got,
- 11:48Speaker 2: he's worse than Cessna. I can't believe that. So he's
- 11:51Speaker 2: got about five of those guys, I feel, that are
- 11:54Speaker 2: not as good. On both sides of the ball. And
- 11:56Speaker 2: because of the portal... that he put all the money,
- 11:59Speaker 2: the people that he knew couldn't start that job or
- 12:01Speaker 2: even be a backup, that's the guy that you have
- 12:04Speaker 2: to put in if that guy doesn't. That guy's horrible.
- 12:06Speaker 2: That's right. The guy that you got number two, you
- 12:09Speaker 2: want to put him in, it's going to get worse.
- 12:11Speaker 2: So as a coach, you're sitting there, oh, my gosh,
- 12:13Speaker 2: and getting back. I think this is the worst possible
- 12:15Speaker 2: team they could play because Arkansas comes in loosey-goosey, and
- 12:20Speaker 2: if you have a quarterback that can limp on one
- 12:23Speaker 2: leg and throw the ball against A & M' s secondary,
- 12:25Speaker 2: you might make 25 yards. So I think if I'm Elko,
- 12:28Speaker 2: I'm really concerned because of what you said. I think
- 12:31Speaker 2: he's a great disciplinarian. I don't think he's lost a team,
- 12:34Speaker 2: but you've got to win games. This is an era.
- 12:37Speaker 2: Those guys start losing games. I don't care who you are.
- 12:41Speaker 2: You're going to feel it. So here's that in Brady Hart. Yes,
- 12:44Speaker 2: they did. He completed one pass to the wrong team.
- 12:46Speaker 10: It was a pretty pass, though.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, well, it was a spiral. It was. He threw
- 12:49Speaker 2: it on a rope.
- 12:50Speaker 5: Yes.
- 12:52Speaker 10: You've got to look at the coordinators, too, do you not?
- 12:54Speaker 2: Yeah. Especially offense, because he's on defense.
- 12:57Speaker 10: Even on both sides.
- 12:58Speaker 9: But I know Elko really is with the defense. I
- 13:02Speaker 9: get that part. But still, they're not performing.
- 13:05Speaker 2: No. They're not performing.
- 13:07Speaker 5: The opposites of creativity on fourth downs. I mean, just
- 13:11Speaker 5: those two plays. You take those two plays.
- 13:13Speaker 10: You're talking about last week and this week, right?
- 13:16Speaker 5: No, I'm talking about last game.
- 13:19Speaker 4: LSU's fourth down play.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Oh, with the pass. With the pass. Yeah, okay.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Sucked everybody in thinking it was going to be a
- 13:24Speaker 4: direct snap.
- 13:24Speaker 14: Yep.
- 13:25Speaker 5: And it wide open.
- 13:27Speaker 14: Yep.
- 13:27Speaker 5: That is creative.
- 13:28Speaker 2: And Lane's running down the sideline.
- 13:30Speaker 13: Yep, yep.
- 13:31Speaker 4: And then A & M, they.
- 13:32Speaker 11: Run straight into the middle for the 97th.
- 13:35Speaker 4: Time in a row on fourth down.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Yeah. Everybody knew that play was coming.
- 13:40Speaker 4: Well, I don't know.
- 13:41Speaker 9: You know, last week they ran the little sweep that
- 13:43Speaker 9: he didn't complete on fourth down, right?
- 13:46Speaker 5: Through that.
- 13:46Speaker 2: I mean, he was open.
- 13:47Speaker 4: But they also did that.
- 13:50Speaker 10: I get it. It wasn't the most creative. I get that.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Good call. I'm with you 100% because go back to Kentucky.
- 13:56Speaker 2: We ended the three tight ends. They flopped the guy.
- 13:59Speaker 2: He pretended to block wide open on their seven-yard tight.
- 14:01Speaker 2: That's creativity. When Harris caught that ball before the snap,
- 14:05Speaker 2: he was on the right side tight. They flopped him
- 14:08Speaker 2: to the left side beside another receiver, snapped the ball.
- 14:12Speaker 2: If he watched the play, he fakes like he's blocking.
- 14:15Speaker 2: He's not going to block that linebacker in. He goes
- 14:17Speaker 2: right across the middle. He is wide open. Nobody picks
- 14:20Speaker 2: him up. 57 yards. That's creativity.
- 14:25Speaker 5: Well, that's just a gut punch, too.
- 14:27Speaker 10: But if your quarterback is not performing, it is really
- 14:31Speaker 10: I will say it's hard to call play.
- 14:33Speaker 5: You're right.
- 14:34Speaker 10: Right. I mean, so it's a double edged sword here.
- 14:38Speaker 2: But maybe the quarterback and.
- 14:39Speaker 9: Obviously so far is not responding to the new guy
- 14:43Speaker 9: like he did.
- 14:44Speaker 10: A year ago to colin clive right you.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Take it back to the kentucky game when a &
- 14:48Speaker 5: m gets ball with 159 left to go in the
- 14:50Speaker 5: second quarter yes and they go super conservative yes to
- 14:54Speaker 5: me i thought that was the offense coordinator say we're
- 14:56Speaker 5: not gonna let marcel make a mistake right before the
- 14:58Speaker 5: half right we're gonna go in tight.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You're probably right and then the only drive they have
- 15:02Speaker 2: is like 15 plays 62 yards eight they get three
- 15:06Speaker 2: points that's that's like a loss when you get three
- 15:09Speaker 2: points today's LSU scored in less than three minutes every touchdown.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Because why? They're making big plays in the secondary.
- 15:17Speaker 10: A & M, I believe, is last in the league
- 15:20Speaker 10: in explosive plays.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Did I see that? And among the worst in the country.
- 15:24Speaker 2: I would imagine. Yeah, they only have five plays over
- 15:27Speaker 2: 20 yards.
- 15:29Speaker 9: They have not produced any explosive plays yet.
- 15:34Speaker 2: That's the key. I mean, both sides. In today's football, Yeah,
- 15:38Speaker 2: Texas and Tennessee was a little bit more old school football.
- 15:41Speaker 2: But today, you look at Florida. Ole Miss, you look
- 15:44Speaker 2: at Ole Miss, LSU last week. You've got to have plays.
- 15:46Speaker 2: You've got to make the big plays both ways.
- 15:47Speaker 5: Mississippi State has big plays, too.
- 15:49Speaker 2: What's that?
- 15:49Speaker 5: Mississippi State makes big plays, too.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Mississippi State makes big plays.
- 15:51Speaker 10: That kid's impressive.
- 15:52Speaker 2: Yeah, he is. He's impressive.
- 15:53Speaker 5: I started the game off, the A & M game
- 15:55Speaker 5: off in the fourth quarter, flipped it over there. That
- 15:57Speaker 5: was an entertaining game.
- 15:57Speaker 10: Yeah, it was a very entertaining game.
- 15:59Speaker 2: And that kid is– he can play. I watched game
- 16:03Speaker 2: day for the first time because on the road and,
- 16:05Speaker 2: of course, the way the time– Yeah. And Saban goes,
- 16:09Speaker 2: he's raising money for Taylor right now. That's the area
- 16:12Speaker 2: you live in. If you're out there, I want that
- 16:14Speaker 2: Mississippi State quarterback. I can win a national championship with him.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Yeah, you got the Mississippi State receiver, so now you
- 16:20Speaker 5: need to go back and get the quarterback, right?
- 16:21Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Basically.
- 16:23Speaker 5: We're talking about A & M, yeah. Anybody. Anybody.
- 16:26Speaker 2: Highest bidder.
- 16:27Speaker 10: Right.
- 16:27Speaker 2: But it's. Nobody thought A & M would be in
- 16:31Speaker 2: this position right now because when you look at who
- 16:34Speaker 2: their back had gone up.
- 16:36Speaker 4: Nobody could have seen Kentucky coming.
- 16:37Speaker 2: A three-year starter at quarterback.
- 16:39Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 16:39Speaker 2: That's what you want. You want a three-year and a
- 16:41Speaker 2: dual threat. Now he's a dual problem. He's not a
- 16:44Speaker 2: dual threat.
- 16:45Speaker 5: That's a good point, man. Yeah, you thought he was
- 16:47Speaker 5: going to be the dude, and.
- 16:48Speaker 4: He's turned out to be the dud.
- 16:50Speaker 2: And like I said, if you're a coach, this is
- 16:54Speaker 2: so hard because what I'm writing about in my column, Mark,
- 16:57Speaker 2: There is not one problem you've got to fix. There's
- 16:59Speaker 2: about five.
- 17:00Speaker 16: No doubt.
- 17:01Speaker 2: And only Elko knows which one's the worst. Is it
- 17:03Speaker 2: the offensive line? Is it people can't cover? Your quarterbacks
- 17:06Speaker 2: can't cover? Is it your ends that you thought were
- 17:09Speaker 2: going to rush just the way Hal did?
- 17:12Speaker 5: Well, the other question that was asked to him, you know,
- 17:15Speaker 5: about which position.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Special teams.
- 17:18Speaker 5: Yeah, he said special teams. I was kind of disappointed
- 17:20Speaker 5: he didn't say the wide receivers because except for the injuries.
- 17:24Speaker 5: They performed pretty darn well. When the ball's thrown to them.
- 17:28Speaker 5: Thrown to them, yeah.
- 17:29Speaker 2: There hadn't been a ton of drops. No.
- 17:31Speaker 9: They hadn't had a chance to have a ton of drops.
- 17:32Speaker 5: And there had been some really good catches about balls
- 17:35Speaker 5: thrown behind them.
- 17:36Speaker 2: And I don't know where they're at in blocking and
- 17:38Speaker 2: things like this in a running game. But my point is,
- 17:41Speaker 2: there's a lot of things wrong with the A &
- 17:43Speaker 2: M football team right now.
- 17:44Speaker 5: Yeah, you couldn't have seen this coming.
- 17:45Speaker 2: And, I mean, I always thought... As long as Elko's here,
- 17:49Speaker 2: the defense is going to be pretty good. Particularly after
- 17:52Speaker 2: that meltdown his first year when they had the problems
- 17:56Speaker 2: and they lost four out of five, and then they
- 17:57Speaker 2: came back and played so well. And he hit on
- 17:59Speaker 2: a good thing today. Last year, you go back and look,
- 18:03Speaker 2: a lot of times one side was really struggling, like
- 18:06Speaker 2: Arkansas defense. But the offense sucked against Auburn, but the
- 18:11Speaker 2: defense played well. Now both teams are playing bad.
- 18:14Speaker 17: Both sides.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Yeah, both sides.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Like you said, and you've got Arkansas team coming in
- 18:18Speaker 5: here that they're not going to be intimidated by watching
- 18:21Speaker 5: that film.
- 18:22Speaker 2: You're getting back to confidence. I guarantee you, if Arkansas
- 18:25Speaker 2: comes in Saturday and scores the first touchdown, oh, Katie,
- 18:29Speaker 2: bar the door. Because the pressure's going to be amped up.
- 18:32Speaker 5: It sure will.
- 18:33Speaker 9: Well, I'd argue the pressure's, you know, and that's the
- 18:36Speaker 9: other thing. It's obviously already amped up. With all the expectations,
- 18:42Speaker 9: and it just gets worse. So something good early, as
- 18:47Speaker 9: you mentioned, Cease, has to happen to try to create
- 18:51Speaker 9: some momentum. Because we're now eight quarters in. There hasn't
- 18:59Speaker 9: been a lot of momentum generated, right? they need an
- 19:04Speaker 9: explosive play or five.
- 19:07Speaker 5: Yeah, because I spent most of the offseason thinking A
- 19:10Speaker 5: & M can be 7-0 or 6-1 going into Alabama.
- 19:13Speaker 7: Right? Yes.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Well, that's out the window. I spent the last.
- 19:15Speaker 5: Six months rooting for a 500 baseball team. Now I'm
- 19:18Speaker 5: rooting for a 500 football team.
- 19:20Speaker 2: You've got experience. What does experience do for you?
- 19:24Speaker 5: Now I'm rooting for an under 500 baseball team. I
- 19:26Speaker 5: could be rooting for an under 500 football team.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Here's the deal. Early on, A & M' s defense did
- 19:32Speaker 2: the job. Look at their first five possessions for LSU.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Three and out six. Three and out four. Three and
- 19:39Speaker 2: out four. Four plays for 27. They had not one
- 19:42Speaker 2: touchdown drive. But the score should have been, if A
- 19:45Speaker 2: & M had any kind of offense, it would have
- 19:48Speaker 2: been 7-7 or maybe even 10-7 A & M. But
- 19:50Speaker 2: they had zero offense for five possessions. Zero, basically. And
- 19:55Speaker 2: you can't do that in today's football. You've got to
- 19:58Speaker 2: be able to put boys. And I think, man, how
- 20:02Speaker 2: do you handle that if you're Elko? Because you promoted
- 20:05Speaker 2: your quarterback coach. Holman Wiggins to OC, and the offense
- 20:11Speaker 2: is not doing anything. I mean, they only had 197 yards.
- 20:14Speaker 2: That's like if you're in the 50s, that was good.
- 20:19Speaker 2: Not in 2026. No, no.
- 20:21Speaker 5: And actually, LSU failed a fourth down conversion early. Exactly.
- 20:24Speaker 5: So you had your defense playing well, giving you a shot,
- 20:29Speaker 5: and they just wore down. I mean, and like you said, Chip,
- 20:33Speaker 5: it's hard. I mean, I played– on a team that
- 20:36Speaker 5: had a really good defense and no offense. And it
- 20:39Speaker 5: just demoralizes you as a defender after a while.
- 20:42Speaker 6: True.
- 20:43Speaker 5: We just gave up a touchdown. We're probably going to
- 20:45Speaker 5: lose here because our offense can't do anything. So A
- 20:50Speaker 5: & M' s defense has got to be demoralized when they're
- 20:52Speaker 5: down double scores. It's like, well, here we go.
- 20:55Speaker 2: And I always worry about today's football because a lot
- 20:57Speaker 2: of those guys– It's their first year A & M
- 21:00Speaker 2: or second year. Oh, yeah. I haven't been with those
- 21:01Speaker 2: guys all the time. You know, we're not playing too well.
- 21:03Speaker 2: You know, I need to take it easy. I might
- 21:05Speaker 2: get hurt.
- 21:06Speaker 9: So you just brought this up. And I'm looking at
- 21:10Speaker 9: this team. You're looking for some one or two or
- 21:16Speaker 9: three players, right, that are those guys that.
- 21:20Speaker 10: All good teams have. That when you face some issues,
- 21:25Speaker 10: these guys are in practice today, tomorrow, all week long saying, hey, we're.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Going to do it.
- 21:32Speaker 10: We're going to get this done. Who are those guys, right?
- 21:36Speaker 9: And those guys have to not only be guys that
- 21:41Speaker 9: do it.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Off the field.
- 21:44Speaker 9: But they have to follow that up right on the
- 21:47Speaker 9: field and produce if you're going to be one of
- 21:49Speaker 9: those guys.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Okay, Chip, you bring up a good point because I
- 21:53Speaker 2: go back to SEC media days. Who does A &
- 21:56Speaker 2: M take down to SEC media days? They could take
- 22:01Speaker 2: one of their two captains in the secondary who– Dalton
- 22:05Speaker 2: Brooks and Ratcliffe played really well. So I think they
- 22:10Speaker 2: took Ratcliffe. But my problem is both those guys are leaders,
- 22:13Speaker 2: great years, but they're not playing well. On paper, it
- 22:16Speaker 2: doesn't appear they're playing well this year. So when you
- 22:18Speaker 2: have one of your leaders, like you said... not play
- 22:20Speaker 2: it's tough to lead when you're saying like hey guys.
- 22:23Speaker 10: He he was one of the ones that was sent
- 22:24Speaker 10: out post game two this week.
- 22:26Speaker 2: We're screwing we're screwing up when he he's screwing up
- 22:29Speaker 2: i mean i'm not saying i don't see the film
- 22:32Speaker 2: but obviously when you look at that that's that's a
- 22:35Speaker 2: tough situation like you talk about who's good because who's
- 22:38Speaker 2: playing right now if you're a and m who's playing
- 22:41Speaker 2: what right now to step up and.
- 22:42Speaker 10: Say yeah who can you follow me who can you name.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Your kicker Well, we're laughing, but that's a problem. And
- 22:48Speaker 2: you're a punter.
- 22:48Speaker 5: That's a problem.
- 22:49Speaker 2: That is a problem.
- 22:50Speaker 5: It's bad. But it's a great point, I think, that
- 22:55Speaker 5: most of us haven't really thought about so much is
- 22:57Speaker 5: that you don't have these fourth- and fifth-year.
- 23:00Speaker 4: Guys who know the program like the back of their hand.
- 23:03Speaker 5: You don't have a Dan Campbell who grew up wanting
- 23:05Speaker 5: to be an Aggie and spent his five years here.
- 23:08Speaker 10: Very few of that anymore.
- 23:10Speaker 4: But that's so rare anywhere. I don't know if you have.
- 23:13Speaker 5: That continuity anywhere.
- 23:15Speaker 2: You know, I was thinking, Russ, when you mentioned that, like,
- 23:17Speaker 2: even the franniers, even, like, let's say on bad teams,
- 23:21Speaker 2: you know, Stephen McGee was a leader.
- 23:22Speaker 5: Stephen McGee, exactly.
- 23:23Speaker 2: He would step up. This is bull crap. Yeah, you
- 23:26Speaker 2: need to have those guys. And right now, who is
- 23:28Speaker 2: that guy? I mean, I don't watch the pulse and
- 23:31Speaker 2: all that. I just watch the field. And normally in
- 23:34Speaker 2: the past, Reed would go over there, but Reed's not
- 23:36Speaker 2: doing it. Reed can't lead.
- 23:38Speaker 5: Yeah, you can't be a real big leader if you're
- 23:41Speaker 5: making mistakes in the field.
- 23:43Speaker 2: That makes it hard. Yeah, it really does. And you
- 23:45Speaker 2: bring up a good point, Chip. I don't know who
- 23:46Speaker 2: that leaders are. Yeah. You know, Sanford, but then he
- 23:51Speaker 2: got hurt last, you know, so he's still coming back
- 23:53Speaker 2: from his injury. He played well last year. He's a captain,
- 23:56Speaker 2: Damian Sanford, but he's still recovering from getting hurt.
- 24:00Speaker 7: Who?
- 24:01Speaker 10: Who on either side of the ball right now is
- 24:05Speaker 10: standing out?
- 24:07Speaker 5: In a good way?
- 24:08Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 24:10Speaker 9: I mean, Craver's been pretty good. You saw he was
- 24:12Speaker 9: a little gimpy Saturday.
- 24:14Speaker 2: I'd say Craver, obviously. He's played well.
- 24:16Speaker 4: I think Horton's been pretty good.
- 24:19Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 24:20Speaker 2: He's a new guy, though.
- 24:21Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, you said veteran, right?
- 24:23Speaker 10: Well, just anyone.
- 24:24Speaker 2: I mean, just first-year guys.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Bruce Owens runs hard.
- 24:27Speaker 2: Yes, he does. Yes, he does.
- 24:30Speaker 5: He's not a breakaway guy, but he runs hard, plays hard.
- 24:33Speaker 10: Well, you know, I was a little surprised. I mentioned
- 24:36Speaker 10: this in the first hour, guys, when you're looking.
- 24:40Speaker 9: At as stats and sometimes i get that stats lie
- 24:44Speaker 9: but you look at reuben owens he averaged 5.6 yards
- 24:48Speaker 9: a carry he's got decent numbers okay uh 11 carries
- 24:52Speaker 9: 62 yards and then kj edwards four carries 22 yards 5.2
- 24:57Speaker 9: yards a carry between those two guys they had 84
- 25:00Speaker 9: yards rushing on 15 carries But they got behind. There
- 25:06Speaker 9: was no rhythm to the offense, obviously. They started throwing,
- 25:11Speaker 9: especially when they really got behind. So you're not having
- 25:16Speaker 9: the balance that you want to have. They were actually,
- 25:20Speaker 9: by stats, running the ball okay. They weren't completely stuck.
- 25:26Speaker 9: Their pass blocking sucked.
- 25:28Speaker 5: Right?
- 25:29Speaker 10: I mean, that was terrible.
- 25:31Speaker 2: You hit on it because I wrote a little portion
- 25:33Speaker 2: of my follow-up. 14-3 at halftime. A & M still
- 25:36Speaker 2: in the game. Get the ball to start out with.
- 25:38Speaker 2: They run Owens up the middle for seven yards. Second
- 25:42Speaker 2: and three. They try to hit Horton on a slant,
- 25:44Speaker 2: and the guy is all over. So it's incomplete. So
- 25:47Speaker 2: now you go from second and three. It's start in three.
- 25:51Speaker 2: They come with a blitz. Reid gets tackled before he
- 25:54Speaker 2: even turns around. So you're punting the ball. Third and 14,
- 25:57Speaker 2: you had a chance to get right back in the game.
- 26:01Speaker 14: No.
- 26:02Speaker 2: Someone's play calling, and someone's execution.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Well, it's like they came out of the half against Kentucky,
- 26:09Speaker 4: and it was just like.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Boom, boom, boom.
- 26:11Speaker 5: Boom, boom, boom. Like the defense.
- 26:12Speaker 9: Which, as we said last week, in my mind, one
- 26:15Speaker 9: of the strengths of these Elko teams is at halftime,
- 26:18Speaker 9: they've been so much better.
- 26:20Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 26:20Speaker 2: And now they're not. And now they're not.
- 26:21Speaker 10: Even in the Notre Dame game.
- 26:22Speaker 5: You know, when you bust a chair, you know, that
- 26:24Speaker 5: became kind of a funny thing all year long, right?
- 26:26Speaker 5: Carrying the chair.
- 26:27Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 26:28Speaker 5: Well, I said that about Kentucky. I was like, I
- 26:29Speaker 5: bet he's about to bust a chair.
- 26:31Speaker 10: But you can only do that.
- 26:32Speaker 4: You can't do it every week.
- 26:33Speaker 2: You know, yeah. That's the problem.
- 26:35Speaker 10: Yeah, you can't do that every week.
- 26:36Speaker 5: Because of fate. It becomes fate.
- 26:38Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah.
- 26:38Speaker 5: In that act. Yeah, yeah.
- 26:40Speaker 2: All right, we're going to take a break.
- 26:42Speaker 9: We've solved all of A & M' s problems in the
- 26:44Speaker 9: first 20 minutes.

- 31:31Speaker 10: it's hard to know.
- 31:33Speaker 9: And I'll say again, this is the first time I've
- 31:37Speaker 9: seen him kind of at a loss, right?
- 31:41Speaker 2: Well, it went back to last week.
- 31:44Speaker 13: Sure.
- 31:44Speaker 2: When he said that they weren't. They'd had a bad practice.
- 31:48Speaker 10: They'd had a bad practice.
- 31:49Speaker 2: They weren't. things weren't catching on.
- 31:51Speaker 17: Correct.
- 31:52Speaker 2: And, of course, a lot of media, like, oh, we're
- 31:54Speaker 2: all smart, Alex, and whatever we're talking later, why didn't
- 31:57Speaker 2: you change it?
- 31:57Speaker 13: Right.
- 31:58Speaker 2: But, you know, we don't know what coaches go through
- 31:59Speaker 2: and how it goes. He's just being honest.
- 32:01Speaker 12: Yes.
- 32:01Speaker 2: And then you're thinking, like, okay, well, he'll really get
- 32:04Speaker 2: that corrected for LSU. But didn't.
- 32:07Speaker 18: Yes.
- 32:07Speaker 2: And it's worse.
- 32:08Speaker 13: Yes.
- 32:10Speaker 10: You know, he– you make mistakes in the portal now.
- 32:14Speaker 10: This is a problem. We were talking about– Rusty, you
- 32:15Speaker 10: were talking about fourth- and fifth-year players aren't many of them.
- 32:18Speaker 5: Right.
- 32:18Speaker 10: You make a mistake in the portal. And you're stuck
- 32:22Speaker 10: with that mistake.
- 32:23Speaker 9: Because one thing he said today, which we talked about earlier, is, hey,
- 32:28Speaker 9: there's no backup quarterback that's an NFL guy sitting on
- 32:32Speaker 9: the bench.
- 32:34Speaker 2: And that's impossible. That guy's going to be somewhere else.
- 32:37Speaker 2: It's impossible to.
- 32:39Speaker 10: Build great depth. you know, anymore with this portal system.
- 32:44Speaker 9: And then you don't have these guys who have developed
- 32:48Speaker 9: through your system, your personality for three years, right? Or
- 32:52Speaker 9: four years that you used to have.
- 32:55Speaker 10: And I'll go back to Indiana.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Last year was the oldest team in college football that
- 33:01Speaker 9: won that national championship with Indiana. And a lot of
- 33:04Speaker 9: those guys had come up with Cignetti's system at James Madison, right?
- 33:09Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 2: So they had been with him.
- 33:11Speaker 9: Right.
- 33:12Speaker 2: We don't see.
- 33:13Speaker 9: I mean, there's a few guys here on the roster,
- 33:15Speaker 9: but there aren't many of those kind of guys.
- 33:16Speaker 5: Yeah, how many guys was playing for the coach?
- 33:18Speaker 14: Yes.
- 33:19Speaker 2: That's... Are you playing for the coach or the paycheck?
- 33:22Speaker 13: Right.
- 33:23Speaker 5: I mean, but we don't see that commitment to your coach, right?
- 33:26Speaker 2: Yes.
- 33:27Speaker 4: Like those guys had to Cignetti.
- 33:29Speaker 2: You don't see that anymore.
- 33:30Speaker 10: Not very little.
- 33:31Speaker 2: And also, along with the portal, then you factor in injuries.
- 33:36Speaker 2: You don't replace an All-American running back at Ole Miss.
- 33:39Speaker 2: That was obvious. That was obvious.
- 33:42Speaker 10: And used to, every team had four or five running backs, right?
- 33:44Speaker 14: Right.
- 33:45Speaker 2: And LSU now, with them losing weeks, they've lost three
- 33:48Speaker 2: starters in two games. I mentioned that.
- 33:50Speaker 9: They are in trouble. And I've got to tell you,
- 33:54Speaker 9: I don't know about you guys. I have this sense.
- 33:57Speaker 9: LSU is obviously a better coach team. The offense is better.
- 34:01Speaker 9: I still don't know how good a team they are.
- 34:05Speaker 2: What do you think, Rusty? I don't either. I just
- 34:08Speaker 2: don't know.
- 34:09Speaker 9: Their defensive line was really solid, right?
- 34:13Speaker 10: You mentioned Whitweeks. He's the quarterback of that defense. That
- 34:16Speaker 10: star safety was the other guy. So they're down three guys.
- 34:22Speaker 2: I would say right now, if I'd say yes, yay
- 34:25Speaker 2: or nay, I'd say they do not make the playoff.
- 34:27Speaker 10: I don't think it's a playoff team.
- 34:29Speaker 5: No, I don't think either one of those teams. There's
- 34:30Speaker 5: playoff teams that we saw Saturday night.
- 34:32Speaker 2: Yeah. And I just think with the SEC going to
- 34:34Speaker 2: nine games and Ole Miss lost one, you're going to
- 34:37Speaker 2: see a lot of losses because of injuries. You are.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Because no one has backups. They don't have enough money.
- 34:43Speaker 2: I guess Coach will start asking for money for backups.
- 34:46Speaker 9: Oh, that's inevitable. I think Georgia is still the best
- 34:53Speaker 9: team personally. I mean, just looking.
- 34:56Speaker 4: They're not exciting, but they're solid.
- 34:58Speaker 10: No, but they're solid. They'll beat the hell out of them.
- 35:01Speaker 2: And they do have depth. They have guys that's been
- 35:03Speaker 2: in the program.
- 35:04Speaker 5: Kirby's got it going.
- 35:05Speaker 9: Kirby does.
- 35:06Speaker 2: When you look at what he does.
- 35:07Speaker 4: Alabama is better than I thought.
- 35:08Speaker 10: Alabama's quarterback is– this kid is going to be special too.
- 35:12Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 10: He's really good.
- 35:15Speaker 2: He's got an arm. He can run.
- 35:16Speaker 5: I thought they were really soft early on.
- 35:19Speaker 9: You know, I picked Alabama to be a little better
- 35:21Speaker 9: this year. I feel a little better about that.
- 35:24Speaker 10: I did not pick Mississippi State because I did not
- 35:27Speaker 10: see this quarterback coming.
- 35:29Speaker 9: And he can make all the difference and has. So,
- 35:33Speaker 9: you know, I'm looking at Florida and what Summerall has done.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Yeah, they're better than I thought.
- 35:38Speaker 2: You know, and they've got the.
- 35:39Speaker 9: Best running back right now in the country with Lacey out.
- 35:43Speaker 10: I mean, Bob's the best. He's the best in the country.
- 35:45Speaker 2: But here's what it goes back to. We always do
- 35:48Speaker 2: Florida and talent. Florida is one of those programs.
- 35:50Speaker 10: You've got to have somebody come in and put it together.
- 35:52Speaker 2: You've got to have somebody that can coach.
- 35:53Speaker 9: You know, and I'm still right on the fence with Texas.
- 35:58Speaker 10: They've won two big games. And I don't care what
- 36:00Speaker 10: you say about Tennessee.
- 36:01Speaker 9: You go into that environment and how poor it was
- 36:05Speaker 9: and how they did.
- 36:07Speaker 2: They won the game.
- 36:08Speaker 5: Arch is still not the quarterback I thought.
- 36:10Speaker 10: He was going to be.
- 36:12Speaker 2: He is not.
- 36:12Speaker 9: But he's winning more than he's losing these kind of games.
- 36:16Speaker 2: He's figuring out how to win games.
- 36:18Speaker 10: How to win.
- 36:18Speaker 2: It's not pretty.
- 36:19Speaker 5: And they figured out a way to beat Ohio State.
- 36:22Speaker 2: They did.
- 36:23Speaker 5: And they figured out a way to hold on and
- 36:25Speaker 5: beat Tennessee.
- 36:25Speaker 2: They did.
- 36:26Speaker 4: I hear people ridiculing him.
- 36:28Speaker 5: But he's got that clutch.
- 36:30Speaker 9: And then he makes some of the most incredible throws
- 36:35Speaker 9: about three times a game.
- 36:36Speaker 10: And you go, holy God, why can't you do that?
- 36:41Speaker 4: Or he'll scramble for a big first down.
- 36:43Speaker 2: Yeah. You know what I mean?
- 36:45Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 36:45Speaker 5: The guy's a lot faster than his other relatives.
- 36:48Speaker 10: I mean, so far he's been a winner, right? I mean,
- 36:51Speaker 10: that's what you say. I mean, he hasn't been pretty.
- 36:54Speaker 10: But he's been a winner. And that's all, you know.
- 36:57Speaker 10: That's all you look at right now. And defensively, they're
- 37:01Speaker 10: really good.
- 37:02Speaker 17: Yeah, they are.
- 37:02Speaker 2: And the flip side, Marcel's not making those plays.
- 37:05Speaker 5: He's not.
- 37:05Speaker 2: You have to make those plays. We're talking about the
- 37:07Speaker 2: Mississippi State quarterback. Sam Leavitt made plays. On one leg.
- 37:10Speaker 5: On one leg, yeah. He made plays. He really pressed
- 37:14Speaker 5: me with his arm because he didn't have the wheels
- 37:17Speaker 5: to make plays. Because that's his game. He's got a
- 37:20Speaker 5: lot of that Johnny football in him. He throws his
- 37:22Speaker 5: body around and all that stuff, but he couldn't do that.
- 37:26Speaker 9: And even Lane said today, he said, I told him,
- 37:29Speaker 9: that may be a blessing in disguise.
- 37:31Speaker 10: You had to stay in the pocket and make your
- 37:32Speaker 10: reads and throw the football.
- 37:33Speaker 4: They bring in a backup who's athletic.
- 37:36Speaker 13: Yes.
- 37:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that kid can run.
- 37:38Speaker 5: That kid can run.
- 37:39Speaker 2: Yes, he could. But once again, they had the right
- 37:42Speaker 2: play called, right people.
- 37:44Speaker 6: He moved.
- 37:45Speaker 2: He didn't throw the ball pretty.
- 37:46Speaker 10: Hey, nobody has questioned, I don't think, Lane Kiffin as
- 37:49Speaker 10: an offensive coach and as a play caller.
- 37:52Speaker 15: No.
- 37:52Speaker 10: Nobody would question that. You can take everything you want
- 37:56Speaker 10: to say about him, but this guy offensively is as
- 38:00Speaker 10: good as it gets.
- 38:01Speaker 2: And Charlie Weiss is pretty good to work with him.
- 38:04Speaker 20: Yes, he is.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And I've worked together. And, you know, you've got to
- 38:07Speaker 2: look at last year. I didn't think Colin Kline called
- 38:11Speaker 2: a good game the last two games last year, but,
- 38:13Speaker 2: you know, he called pretty well the whole year when
- 38:15Speaker 2: you look at what the offense did last year.
- 38:16Speaker 10: And for the most part, for the most part, his
- 38:19Speaker 10: quarterback played pretty well, right? There's a lot of moving parts.
- 38:24Speaker 10: And that's the other thing you wonder about. Again, I'll
- 38:26Speaker 10: go back. This is a new guy. You know, I
- 38:29Speaker 10: know he was on the staff. I get that. He
- 38:31Speaker 10: wasn't totally unfamiliar with Holman Wiggins. But it's not working
- 38:36Speaker 10: right now.
- 38:37Speaker 5: I know.
- 38:38Speaker 2: It's not even come close to working.
- 38:40Speaker 10: It's not come close to working.
- 38:42Speaker 2: You know, when we're.
- 38:43Speaker 5: Talking about the different schools out here, I was shocked
- 38:47Speaker 5: the way Florida just destroyed Ole Miss.
- 38:49Speaker 10: Handled Ole Miss.
- 38:50Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 38:51Speaker 10: I just think there's several things at view. You knew
- 38:54Speaker 10: that Ole Miss, there was no way to get up
- 38:58Speaker 10: like that from the week before.
- 39:00Speaker 2: No way.
- 39:01Speaker 10: You're missing your running back. And they just got– and Florida,
- 39:06Speaker 10: I'm telling you, this was their coming out party. Now
- 39:09Speaker 10: I know why they were three-and-a-half point favorite. Remember, we
- 39:11Speaker 10: sat here last week. How in the world is Florida
- 39:14Speaker 10: a favorite? Well, after the first half, I go, okay,
- 39:17Speaker 10: I get it now because they were frothing at the
- 39:20Speaker 10: mouth for this game. And they played great.
- 39:23Speaker 2: And that's why I thought A & M was catching
- 39:26Speaker 2: LSU at a good time. I'm with you, Cease.
- 39:30Speaker 9: I don't think this A & M team would catch
- 39:32Speaker 9: anybody at a good time right now.
- 39:34Speaker 2: The psyche of teams. LSU was ready to play.
- 39:36Speaker 10: Yes, they were.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Talk about leaders. Levitt stepped up.
- 39:39Speaker 10: He made plays.
- 39:41Speaker 5: That was an elimination game, I felt like. College football playoff.
- 39:44Speaker 2: It was.
- 39:45Speaker 5: But I'm still not convinced that LSU is a playoff.
- 39:47Speaker 10: I don't think they are.
- 39:49Speaker 2: I'm going to say nay. I don't think they are.
- 39:51Speaker 5: I don't know about South Carolina either. I'm interested in
- 39:54Speaker 5: the South Carolina-Kentucky game this weekend. I want to see
- 39:57Speaker 5: if Kentucky's real.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:59Speaker 5: Because, I mean, I saw what they did to A
- 40:01Speaker 5: & M.
- 40:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:02Speaker 4: They did it for a half against Alabama.
- 40:04Speaker 10: And they did it for the second half this last
- 40:06Speaker 10: Saturday against a weak team.
- 40:07Speaker 4: Weak team, yeah.
- 40:08Speaker 10: They were hungover, too, by the way.
- 40:10Speaker 16: Right.
- 40:10Speaker 4: So they go to South Carolina.
- 40:12Speaker 2: You cannot get up. We know this.
- 40:15Speaker 9: Every coach will tell you maybe three or four games
- 40:19Speaker 9: a year that you are peak up emotionally, right? The
- 40:23Speaker 9: other times you've got to gut it out. But three
- 40:26Speaker 9: or four times a year. And you're playing nine conference games, right?
- 40:31Speaker 9: And I was all for that to begin with, and
- 40:33Speaker 9: now I think it's really stupid.
- 40:35Speaker 10: Because no one else is doing it either.
- 40:37Speaker 2: I really think it's stupid. I was for nine games.
- 40:40Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 40:41Speaker 9: Well, we're fans, but now it's like, no, you're going
- 40:44Speaker 9: to get every team beaten up.
- 40:46Speaker 2: You've already mentioned that. No, I hate that.
- 40:48Speaker 4: It's stupid.
- 40:49Speaker 2: You're right. Now that I see it, I go, this
- 40:51Speaker 2: is super.
- 40:51Speaker 9: And some of the Big Ten schedules, when they don't
- 40:53Speaker 9: have to play everybody, you look at some of these teams,
- 40:55Speaker 9: like Indiana, it's like, hell, I don't have to play anybody.
- 40:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 40:59Speaker 5: It's funny how all three feel that way. Because I
- 41:01Speaker 5: was like, yeah, nine games. Let's go. I love that.
- 41:03Speaker 10: I go, let's go.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Let's go ten. Now it's like, what were you thinking?
- 41:06Speaker 10: What were you thinking?
- 41:08Speaker 5: Now I feel like my wife is asking, what were
- 41:10Speaker 5: you thinking?
- 41:11Speaker 2: If they did one of these documentaries on these kids today,
- 41:14Speaker 2: what I'd like to know is a big week like this,
- 41:17Speaker 2: These guys are making the millions of dollars.
- 41:19Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Do you meet with your advisor like every week? Agent.
- 41:22Speaker 2: Do you talk like, hey, how's my stock market or whatever?
- 41:25Speaker 2: I mean, how does that factor in when these guys
- 41:27Speaker 2: are millionaires? That's a great point, Cease. That's a great point.
- 41:31Speaker 5: It's like Marcel making $ 3 million a year.
- 41:34Speaker 2: That's more than you make.
- 41:36Speaker 10: Well, not by much, but a little.
- 41:38Speaker 2: Yeah, right. He's an author.
- 41:41Speaker 5: He's never going to make that kind of money ever
- 41:43Speaker 5: again in his life, and so hopefully he's put it
- 41:45Speaker 5: away and invested it nicely.
- 41:46Speaker 2: He can ask us for advice.
- 41:48Speaker 10: I can't help but think it's going to be like
- 41:52Speaker 10: NFL players used to be.
- 41:55Speaker 2: There will be.
- 41:56Speaker 10: A handful of honest guys dealing with these guys, and
- 42:01Speaker 10: most of them will be crooks.
- 42:02Speaker 13: Yep.
- 42:03Speaker 9: And most of these kids will leave college without any money.
- 42:07Speaker 9: And it's a sad deal. And this day and age,
- 42:10Speaker 9: probably no education either, you know, just like it used
- 42:12Speaker 9: to be. But now they've had all this money to
- 42:15Speaker 9: blow through.
- 42:15Speaker 5: So you don't think they should be buying Ferraris right now?
- 42:19Speaker 10: I do not think they should be buying Ferraris right now.
- 42:22Speaker 5: I know for a fact there's somebody who did.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Can you buy Ferraris this time? That's a given.
- 42:27Speaker 5: No, I think he has to go to Houston.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I didn't think there was one. You can't buy one here.
- 42:32Speaker 5: You can drive one back.
- 42:33Speaker 9: You can buy a lot of luxury cars around here,
- 42:36Speaker 9: but not a Ferrari. Okay, on that happy note, I'm
- 42:40Speaker 9: going to figure out how to get my Ferrari, too. Now,
- 42:43Speaker 9: this is a good thing. The last Rangers report of
- 42:47Speaker 9: the year.
- 42:47Speaker 5: Hallelujah!
- 42:48Speaker 10: Brought to you by Swarteman Flooring and Brazos Running Company.

- 43:57Speaker 12: Rangers played for their playoff hopes yesterday, and I'll let
- 43:59Speaker 12: the voice of the Rangers, Eric Nadel, tell you their fortunes.
- 44:02Speaker 16: The pitch is on the way. Swung on and a
- 44:04Speaker 16: high fly ball to left.
- 44:05Speaker 2: This should end it.
- 44:06Speaker 16: Austin Martin trotting in underneath it. He makes a one-handed catch,
- 44:10Speaker 16: and the ball game's over. The Twins have won it
- 44:12Speaker 16: by the score of 6-4, eliminating the Rangers from playoff
- 44:16Speaker 16: contention and giving the West Division crown to the Houston Astros.
- 44:21Speaker 12: Rangers end the season with an 80-82 record, missing another
- 44:23Speaker 12: AL West division win, something they haven't done since 2016,
- 44:26Speaker 12: and missing the playoffs, which is something they haven't done
- 44:29Speaker 12: since their World Series winning season back in 2023. Here's
- 44:32Speaker 12: Skip on the postgame.
- 44:33Speaker 13: I felt like we should be playing next month, and
- 44:37Speaker 13: we're not. And I think that's always the goal. So
- 44:39Speaker 13: when you don't get there, it's frustrating. And we've got
- 44:43Speaker 13: to figure out a way to get back. So the
- 44:44Speaker 13: goal is always going to be to win. We didn't
- 44:46Speaker 13: win enough, and we've got to figure out how to
- 44:47Speaker 13: do that.
- 44:47Speaker 12: Rangers season ends with the loss to the Twins 6-4.
- 44:50Speaker 12: I'm Trevor Beck with your Rangers report.
- 44:53Speaker 1: Brazos Running Company, located in Century Square, knows the right

- 45:20Speaker 2: Brazos Running Company. There must be some kind of way
- 45:27Speaker 2: out of here.
- 45:28Speaker 9: I'll tell you what, the Rangers could have used this
- 45:30Speaker 9: southpaw this year.
- 45:31Speaker 2: I'm just telling you right now. Welcome back.
- 45:34Speaker 9: Glad to have you with us. Rusty Burson is here.
- 45:37Speaker 9: Robert Sesson is here. It's the Writer's Roundtable for a
- 45:40Speaker 9: Monday brought to you by Intech and First Financial.
- 45:43Speaker 2: I think.
- 45:45Speaker 10: Matty Statz told me today that the spread was 14.5.
- 45:49Speaker 2: I saw 14 last night.
- 45:50Speaker 10: And I want in on that.
- 45:52Speaker 2: I don't bet, but. That seems high to me. Last night,
- 45:57Speaker 2: I thought myself is, since A & M was a 9.5 dog,
- 46:01Speaker 2: I thought it'd be about 9.5. That's what I said.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Last night, it was 14, the one we look at
- 46:06Speaker 2: on the paper. It was 14. I go, wow, two touchdowns.
- 46:10Speaker 2: For a team to have a rough time scoring.
- 46:11Speaker 10: Yeah, exactly.
- 46:14Speaker 2: And a series that's been just down to the wire.
- 46:16Speaker 2: Always gets close.
- 46:17Speaker 17: Always.
- 46:18Speaker 5: For a team that's been outscored 66-27 in the first
- 46:22Speaker 5: two games of conference season.
- 46:24Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 5: It doesn't seem like they're right.
- 46:26Speaker 9: So they're averaging less than 14 a game, and they're
- 46:29Speaker 9: 14-point favorites.
- 46:30Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 46:31Speaker 10: I mean, Arkansas may be terrible. I've just watched a
- 46:34Speaker 10: little bit of them.
- 46:35Speaker 2: I haven't seen enough of them.
- 46:35Speaker 9: You know, I haven't either. I haven't really seen enough
- 46:38Speaker 9: of them. For A & M' s sake, they probably.
- 46:41Speaker 2: Hope they're terrible.
- 46:43Speaker 10: But they're going to get their best shot.
- 46:45Speaker 2: You know that.
- 46:46Speaker 9: As you mentioned, they're coming off a big win over Tulsa.
- 46:49Speaker 5: They're– Yeah, they got spanked by Utah. They got spanked
- 46:53Speaker 5: by Georgia.
- 46:53Speaker 2: Utah's pretty good, by the way. Yes, Utah is pretty good.
- 46:56Speaker 5: And we just talked about Georgia being really good.
- 46:57Speaker 2: And we know Georgia's good. Yep. I just think where
- 47:00Speaker 2: A & M' s right now, they can't take anything for granted.
- 47:02Speaker 10: Oh, absolutely not. They've got to find answers.
- 47:06Speaker 2: And they need answers this week. This week? They need
- 47:08Speaker 2: to play well before they even go to Missouri.
- 47:10Speaker 10: Oh, there's no doubt about that.
- 47:12Speaker 2: Because you're looking at, if A & M was 3-3
- 47:14Speaker 2: after six games, whoo. I mean, oh, my gosh. Not
- 47:18Speaker 2: when everybody was thinking there was a chance they'd be No.
- 47:21Speaker 2: 6-1 going into Alabama or maybe even 7-0 if they
- 47:24Speaker 2: got a little lucky. I picked A & M to
- 47:26Speaker 2: go 9-3.
- 47:26Speaker 5: Yeah, I did too.
- 47:28Speaker 2: I was 9-3. Yeah. Maybe they will be.
- 47:32Speaker 4: I seriously doubt it.
- 47:34Speaker 2: But A & M, like we just mentioned, South Carolina's struggling.
- 47:36Speaker 2: Oklahoma's struggling.
- 47:37Speaker 5: How do you get the confidence back in your quarterback, though?
- 47:40Speaker 5: You got no other options?
- 47:42Speaker 2: I mean, it's like.
- 47:44Speaker 10: I don't know that answer.
- 47:45Speaker 9: That's why they're making $ 12 million over there.
- 47:49Speaker 2: I thought, okay, my memory's always bad. I think the
- 47:52Speaker 2: times I thought he looked good against Notre Dame, second
- 47:56Speaker 2: half maybe, second half against South Carolina.
- 48:00Speaker 5: The last two games he played against LSU were really good. So,
- 48:05Speaker 5: I mean, the game.
- 48:06Speaker 2: That's what I thought was going to happen. He just
- 48:07Speaker 2: came off the bench last time, though.
- 48:09Speaker 5: Yeah, he did.
- 48:10Speaker 14: He did.
- 48:10Speaker 2: Not as much pressure. Yeah, right.
- 48:12Speaker 5: But what he was doing so well was that zone read,
- 48:15Speaker 5: run pass option.
- 48:16Speaker 4: Yeah, with his feet.
- 48:18Speaker 5: Really riding the running backs before he pulled the ball.
- 48:22Speaker 5: I mean, he was a magician.
- 48:24Speaker 2: We hadn't seen tons of that. Getting back to LSU,
- 48:28Speaker 2: first play, up the gut for 12 yards. He's going
- 48:32Speaker 2: to use his legs more. This is a great idea.
- 48:34Speaker 2: It didn't happen. Yeah, it did not. Well, you have
- 48:37Speaker 2: 12 yards. How do you not get back to that play?
- 48:40Speaker 5: You know, I sit there. Everybody's got access to the portal, right?
- 48:44Speaker 5: And as I watch college football now, I'm like, How
- 48:47Speaker 5: is Miami doing it so well right now? I mean,
- 48:51Speaker 5: that team to me might be the best team.
- 48:53Speaker 2: I've said that from day one.
- 48:56Speaker 5: They really attacked the portal. And that team that came
- 48:58Speaker 5: in here last year.
- 49:00Speaker 2: And their quarterback.
- 49:00Speaker 4: They're better than that team last year that played for them.
- 49:03Speaker 10: I think you're right. Because their quarterback is really good.
- 49:06Speaker 5: Yes, he is.
- 49:06Speaker 2: And the quarterback was decent last year.
- 49:08Speaker 14: He was.
- 49:09Speaker 5: But he's not this good.
- 49:10Speaker 10: Not this guy.
- 49:11Speaker 2: I watched Indiana. Beck was okay.
- 49:13Speaker 10: I watched Indiana Northwestern Friday night.
- 49:15Speaker 2: For the first time, I was impressed with the Northwestern quarterback.
- 49:18Speaker 14: Me too.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Me too. And they're tied in. Me too. Oh, they're
- 49:20Speaker 2: tied in. It was unbelievable.
- 49:23Speaker 5: Unbelievable.
- 49:24Speaker 2: I go, hey, that tied in. And Northwestern's hosting Penn
- 49:26Speaker 2: State this week. They are. At their stadium that holds 5,000 people.
- 49:30Speaker 5: Is it too late to send Anto Saka back?
- 49:33Speaker 2: Trade him.
- 49:34Speaker 5: Yeah, well.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Okay, that's what they need to do. They need to
- 49:37Speaker 2: get some more new rules on this transfer portal.
- 49:40Speaker 5: Yeah, you can't trade them.
- 49:41Speaker 4: It's post-fours.
- 49:43Speaker 2: Like, you know, 90 days? How about a nine-game deal? Yeah, exactly.
- 49:47Speaker 2: Send them back within nine games.
- 49:49Speaker 9: The SEC and South Carolina jointly announced a one-game suspension.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Okay, we already knew it was out. I thought they
- 49:58Speaker 2: were going to go ahead and send them to LSU
- 50:00Speaker 2: as a punishment. Along with Colin Simmons.
- 50:05Speaker 5: I take him.
- 50:06Speaker 10: I don't know how the SEC got involved because I'm
- 50:08Speaker 10: pretty sure Beamer had already said this guy's suspended indefinitely.
- 50:12Speaker 2: SEC's got to get involved.
- 50:13Speaker 9: But I think the ACC got involved with the hit
- 50:17Speaker 9: on Dante Moore.
- 50:19Speaker 5: That was just terrible.
- 50:20Speaker 2: That was brutal. And the reaction was brutal. I just
- 50:24Speaker 2: saw the replay. It was just. He's so fortunate.
- 50:31Speaker 9: Then he got out of there with apparently only a concussion.
- 50:34Speaker 9: I say only because he got smoked and they took
- 50:38Speaker 9: him off in an ambulance.
- 50:39Speaker 5: Who knows the organ for winning that football game?
- 50:42Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh. I think it woke him up.
- 50:44Speaker 10: Maybe for the season. Yeah.
- 50:45Speaker 9: But when I saw who the backup was, because you
- 50:48Speaker 9: lose track of all these guys.
- 50:50Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 50:50Speaker 9: The reason Nebraska's been terrible for three years was Dylan Riola.
- 50:54Speaker 2: He was terrible.
- 50:57Speaker 9: He comes in Saturday and looks like Tom freaking Brady.
- 51:02Speaker 2: I mean, it's like, what in the world? He's getting
- 51:05Speaker 2: Nike money. Come on. I mean, he looked unbelievable. There's
- 51:09Speaker 2: a backup quarterback. A backup quarterback.
- 51:11Speaker 13: But.
- 51:12Speaker 2: It was a USC defense. It was Lincoln-Riley. But you
- 51:16Speaker 2: know who the coordinator is? It's Gary Patterson.
- 51:20Speaker 5: Gary Patterson.
- 51:21Speaker 2: This guy knows defense. He did know defense.
- 51:24Speaker 11: Well, no.
- 51:25Speaker 2: I think, well, you might be right about that.
- 51:28Speaker 5: Dylan Ryola was 18-25 for 289 and two TDs.
- 51:32Speaker 2: Unbelievable.
- 51:35Speaker 9: I would never in a million years have said before
- 51:37Speaker 9: that game, hey, you know who's available?
- 51:39Speaker 2: Let's go get Dylan Ryola.
- 51:42Speaker 5: Well, for what we need.
- 51:44Speaker 2: I mean, he was great.
- 51:45Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 51:45Speaker 2: I thought Gary Patterson was great, too. But you know what?
- 51:48Speaker 2: When Chavis came here, I thought he was a great
- 51:50Speaker 2: defensive coordinator, too.
- 51:51Speaker 13: I know.
- 51:52Speaker 2: He bottomed out. But you know what?
- 51:54Speaker 10: Sometimes it's like everything else. It's a fit, right?
- 51:59Speaker 2: Do you fit the head coach? Do you fit the system?
- 52:04Speaker 10: Do you fit what they want to do?
- 52:06Speaker 5: I think there's never a fit when they come here.
- 52:09Speaker 5: It seems like every year. It just never fits perfectly.
- 52:15Speaker 2: Why is that, Rusty?
- 52:16Speaker 4: It's the Indian burial ground.
- 52:17Speaker 5: I'm telling you, man. It surprises the river. It's the
- 52:21Speaker 5: Indian burial ground.
- 52:22Speaker 2: The Indian burial ground. It's where coaches come to die.
- 52:26Speaker 2: And defensive coordinators. And quarterbacks.
- 52:29Speaker 5: Long list of quarterbacks. It hasn't been quarterback you. No,
- 52:32Speaker 5: it's a long list.
- 52:33Speaker 9: But they've left here and gotten better. Would you take
- 52:36Speaker 9: Connor Wigman back right now?
- 52:37Speaker 10: To Harneride, I would.
- 52:38Speaker 2: Not now. I haven't seen enough of him. He's been
- 52:41Speaker 2: really good.
- 52:41Speaker 14: Really?
- 52:42Speaker 10: Yeah, really good.
- 52:43Speaker 2: I just watched a little bit of one game, and
- 52:44Speaker 2: it wasn't impressive.
- 52:45Speaker 9: Well, Houston's defensively is not great, but Willie Fritz can
- 52:50Speaker 9: coach football.
- 52:51Speaker 2: Oh, there's no doubt about that.
- 52:52Speaker 10: He can coach football, and they're a pretty good-looking team.
- 52:56Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 52:56Speaker 5: Speaking of Sam Houston State, Willie Fritz– Sam Houston was
- 53:00Speaker 5: within a touchdown.
- 53:01Speaker 4: At halftime of Texas Tech.
- 53:02Speaker 2: Yes, they were. I know they were.
- 53:03Speaker 5: And they didn't score again. That's right.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Back-to-back pick sixes.
- 53:07Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 53:07Speaker 2: And consecutive plays. Same guy, right? Same guy. Same guy.
- 53:11Speaker 5: Unbelievable.
- 53:11Speaker 2: Never seen that before. Unbelievable. Never seen that before. I
- 53:14Speaker 2: haven't seen Tech play at all, but my scores tell
- 53:16Speaker 2: me they're not that good.
- 53:17Speaker 5: I don't think they're as good as they were last year.
- 53:18Speaker 2: They're not as good as they were last year.
- 53:20Speaker 10: That may not matter.
- 53:21Speaker 2: I mean, we'll see.
- 53:23Speaker 10: Because I know they still have to play BYU. They
- 53:26Speaker 10: got to.
- 53:26Speaker 5: Play Utah, too, right?
- 53:27Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 53:28Speaker 4: Oh, is that right?
- 53:28Speaker 2: I'm not sure they play Utah.
- 53:30Speaker 5: I'll look it up.
- 53:31Speaker 2: Does everybody play everybody in the Big 12? No, no, no, no.
- 53:34Speaker 2: Not anymore, right? Too many, too many schools. Yeah, too many.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Utah does not play Tech Tech.
- 53:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't think they did. I didn't think they did.
- 53:40Speaker 10: Tech does play BYU or not.
- 53:42Speaker 2: They don't play BYU. I don't think Tech plays BYU.
- 53:45Speaker 9: Tech doesn't have any top 25 teams left on their schedule.
- 53:49Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 53:50Speaker 10: So they might still be in the playoffs again, right?
- 53:54Speaker 2: See, that's just so wrong. Yeah, well, when your league's
- 53:57Speaker 2: playing nine. When the SEC's playing nine brutal games. Yeah,
- 54:00Speaker 2: that's the other thing. And Tech's playing nobody. That's the
- 54:03Speaker 2: other thing. So, we'll see.
- 54:05Speaker 5: They go to Colorado this week.
- 54:07Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. They lost to Baylor. Yeah.
- 54:10Speaker 5: And then their toughest game is Arizona State.
- 54:12Speaker 10: I think the Dion experiment's over, don't you?
- 54:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I do, too.
- 54:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 54:16Speaker 5: Or, you know what?
- 54:17Speaker 2: I like Dion, but I'm just saying.
- 54:19Speaker 5: Texas Tech has to go to Oklahoma State. So, Oklahoma
- 54:23Speaker 5: State is ranked.
- 54:24Speaker 2: That's good. Yeah, well, yeah, you're right. They are now.
- 54:28Speaker 2: They weren't before.
- 54:28Speaker 4: They weren't before, right.
- 54:29Speaker 10: But, hey, I picked West Virginia.
- 54:33Speaker 2: I picked West Virginia. I had to laugh because– What
- 54:36Speaker 2: do I know? I had to laugh because I picked
- 54:38Speaker 2: Oklahoma State. So watch– Game day for the first time,
- 54:41Speaker 2: all those guys pick West Virginia, and they say why
- 54:43Speaker 2: West Virginia is going to kill that game. I should
- 54:46Speaker 2: have known better. I go, if I had watched game day,
- 54:48Speaker 2: I wouldn't have picked Columbus State.
- 54:50Speaker 5: Exactly. He may be the best quarterback in the country.
- 54:52Speaker 2: He's really good.
- 54:54Speaker 4: Outside of Miami.
- 54:55Speaker 10: He's really good.
- 54:55Speaker 5: Yeah, he is.
- 54:56Speaker 2: Okay, boys. Oh, that's interesting. Holy cow. We solved no
- 55:00Speaker 2: problems today. Maybe next week.
- 55:02Speaker 1: Yes, we did.
- 55:03Speaker 2: We said goodbye to the Rangers. Oh, yes, we did.
- 55:06Speaker 2: They're going to move the Indian. They're going to move
- 55:08Speaker 2: the Indian.
- 55:10Speaker 10: I should feel better about myself. Move that graveyard that
- 55:12Speaker 10: he talks about. But guess what? I don't.
- 55:14Speaker 2: I don't either.
- 55:16Speaker 15: I was a little sad.
- 55:16Speaker 2: Move that graveyard. I just don't.
