Photographer Violeta Alvarez is launching Casa de Cultura: The Living Archive, a two-month cultural residency celebrating her mother’s immigrant journey and honoring Latina and Chicanx voices in photography. Starting July 9 with her exhibition “Luz y Sombra,” the program includes 12 free events, live portrait sessions, art markets, workshops, and panels—all designed to uplift women of color in the arts.
