- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. Hey, guys, welcome to the almost famous podcast. Finally,
- 0:11Speaker 1: oh my Gosh, today Ben is en route to the
- 0:15Speaker 1: I Heart Radio Music Festival in Vegas, so I am
- 0:20Speaker 1: here with a bachelor expert, Chris Bukowski, and his girlfriend,
- 0:27Speaker 1: Anna Redman, of Matt James Season. These two have been
- 0:32Speaker 1: together for a little while now. We're going to get
- 0:34Speaker 1: into the relationship later in the show, but of course
- 0:36Speaker 1: we have some pressing finale matters to attend to. Hello, guys,
- 0:41Speaker 1: welcome to the show. Hi, Hey, Ashley, thanks for having us. Well,
- 0:44Speaker 1: thank you so much for being here, Chris. I saw
- 0:47Speaker 1: you on twitter yesterday and you agreed with me on
- 0:52Speaker 1: what I think is the most massive moment of the
- 0:55Speaker 1: entire finale, which was the whole Aven interrupting Tino's hot
- 1:02Speaker 1: seats and then pulling Um and pulling Rachel off. So
- 1:06Speaker 1: I'm glad we we agree. But also I wonder if
- 1:10Speaker 1: we needed a perspective of somebody who is more on
- 1:13Speaker 1: the other side, like more team let's not do teams,
- 1:19Speaker 1: but you know what I mean. Who doesn't have as
- 1:21Speaker 1: much empathy as we do for Tino in that spot
- 1:24Speaker 1: and I'm just jumping into this scene. We're gonna jump. Okay, fine,
- 1:28Speaker 1: we shouldn't jump into this hand, but just quick, quick take.
- 1:32Speaker 1: What what is your quick take on that moment? I
- 1:37Speaker 1: think they should have taken tina off stage and then
- 1:40Speaker 1: had him come on and do what they did. I
- 1:43Speaker 1: think it was just so awkward for everyone to watch
- 1:46Speaker 1: Tino stand there Um. But again, we have more empathy
- 1:51Speaker 1: for anyone because in that situation, just because we've all
- 1:55Speaker 1: been there. Maybe, maybe, maybe. Okay, so let's get let's
- 2:00Speaker 1: you know, there's like a whole bunch of like filler
- 2:01Speaker 1: content in the beginning. Let's go into that final row ceremony.
- 2:05Speaker 1: There's just no doubt in both of our minds that
- 2:08Speaker 1: this is going to end in an engagement for Rachel
- 2:11Speaker 1: and Tino, right right, like this is doubt. Okay, Alright, fine,
- 2:19Speaker 1: there's a little doubt, but like the entire time Tino
- 2:22Speaker 1: has been like the only guy that is really like,
- 2:24Speaker 1: I'm ready for an engagement, and we all know that
- 2:27Speaker 1: that is Rachel's like number one priority. I think is
- 2:31Speaker 1: the bigger red flag if someone's like, yeah, I'm gung
- 2:33Speaker 1: homer an engagement versus on being like let's think about this. Okay,
- 2:38Speaker 1: we'll elaborate on that. Do you think that the premise
- 2:40Speaker 1: of the show should be different? No, but I don't
- 2:42Speaker 1: think someone being hesitant or saying that expressing their feelings
- 2:47Speaker 1: towards it is like that big of a red flag.
- 2:50Speaker 1: Oh of course not. Someone had like taken as like
- 2:54Speaker 1: a serious thing and like let's talk about it, versus
- 2:57Speaker 1: and being like yeah, I'll just give you a ring.
- 3:00Speaker 1: There's so much chilliness solve this, because Rachel was all
- 3:05Speaker 1: about like I gotta get gage, you gotta get gage,
- 3:07Speaker 1: you gotta get engauge. Right, she gets engaged to Tino.
- 3:11Speaker 1: That falls apart. She like gives back the read. There's
- 3:15Speaker 1: like there's a lot of gray area, which again I
- 3:18Speaker 1: do want to jump into a second, but it's a
- 3:20Speaker 1: lot of gray area as to when this ring was
- 3:22Speaker 1: handed back, when they broke up, if they were on
- 3:26Speaker 1: a break. There's like so much, I think, to Tino's
- 3:30Speaker 1: side that we're not hearing Um. And it's just funny
- 3:34Speaker 1: because it sounds as if there was a moment where
- 3:36Speaker 1: she wanted to give back the ring to end the
- 3:38Speaker 1: engagement that she wanted so so badly, and then ends
- 3:42Speaker 1: up with and then, quote quote, ends up with even
- 3:45Speaker 1: in the end right, so it's like maybe he had
- 3:49Speaker 1: an idea. Okay. So, anyway, the two of them get engaged.
- 3:54Speaker 1: You can see the entire time well, because this is,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I think, one of the only proposals that we've ever
- 4:01Speaker 1: seen were like that little yellow square is at the
- 4:04Speaker 1: bottom the entire proposal. It's all given away, like there's
- 4:09Speaker 1: no fluttery feelings. They may have done that on purpose
- 4:13Speaker 1: so that we wouldn't get like we wouldn't feel like
- 4:15Speaker 1: really sad about them not being together. But Rachel's Rachel's
- 4:20Speaker 1: face this entire time, whenever there's a live moment, has
- 4:23Speaker 1: given away the ending for all of us. We were like, uh,
- 4:28Speaker 1: it is so sad right now. She's oh so sad,
- 4:32Speaker 1: so not happy. When we saw it, like honestly, the
- 4:34Speaker 1: past two weeks we've seen this um since men tell all,
- 4:38Speaker 1: we're just like something, that is not gonna go well
- 4:41Speaker 1: for her Um. But yeah, so during the proposal we
- 4:44Speaker 1: know that they're not together because her face tells it all.
- 4:47Speaker 1: And then we see her family's face and they're not
- 4:50Speaker 1: happy either, and that sucks. You know, like we obviously
- 4:53Speaker 1: want Rachel to end up with somebody. I felt something
- 4:56Speaker 1: between her and you know the entire time. How about
- 4:58Speaker 1: you guys? Who did you feel like you should have
- 5:00Speaker 1: ended up with? I feel like she had her like
- 5:05Speaker 1: mindset on him and that's what was going to happen.
- 5:08Speaker 1: He's a great looking dude. It seemed like they got
- 5:10Speaker 1: along Um. But again, I think it came down to
- 5:13Speaker 1: him being willing to give her the ring at the end,
- 5:16Speaker 1: even if that didn't mean it was the strongest relationship. Yeah,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I agree. I think she had her mindset on him. Um.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm not sure if he had his mindset on her, Um,
- 5:28Speaker 1: but you know, I mean if there's someone there, you
- 5:32Speaker 1: want to pursue them to the fullest, and it's not
- 5:34Speaker 1: like you don't want to just do it. You know
- 5:36Speaker 1: to do it if it's not the person you want
- 5:38Speaker 1: to end up with. Um. So I think that's kind
- 5:40Speaker 1: of where Rachel was at in that situation. I had
- 5:43Speaker 1: a lot of thought. I had like Um complicated, like
- 5:46Speaker 1: a roller coaster of feelings towards you know the entire time.
- 5:50Speaker 1: At first I was like, Oh my God, what chemistry,
- 5:53Speaker 1: like this is like that guy, that's stubbly guy that
- 5:56Speaker 1: you want to see as part of the franchise. Like
- 5:57Speaker 1: he makes the franchise better, you know, like a like
- 6:00Speaker 1: a like, like a tyler state, like he makes the
- 6:02Speaker 1: franchise better a lot of like I was thinking that
- 6:06Speaker 1: there's a thing. There's like a vibe. Right, there's a vibe.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So then, Um, and so then I started to feel
- 6:14Speaker 1: like he was just a player. I was like, Oh man,
- 6:16Speaker 1: this guy like not here, but he doesn't really like her,
- 6:19Speaker 1: like I feel like he just wants to win this thing.
- 6:23Speaker 1: He's a Bachelor Fan, he wants to win. And then
- 6:27Speaker 1: I started to really feel like he likes her a lot,
- 6:30Speaker 1: and that's where I ended up. That's why I still
- 6:32Speaker 1: end up. Actually, I still feel like he really likes her.
- 6:34Speaker 1: I feel that I'm going to get so much crap
- 6:36Speaker 1: a lot the end of this episode because people are
- 6:39Speaker 1: gonna be like, Oh my God, actually, he cheated on her.
- 6:41Speaker 1: He cheated on her. We're gonna get to that. Let's
- 6:45Speaker 1: get to her now, and I go ahead. Um, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: just I feel like when you're in a public relationship
- 6:53Speaker 1: you have to or not public relationship, but on this show,
- 6:57Speaker 1: while you're filming and then after until like the finding
- 7:00Speaker 1: groles has done, you're constantly thinking about optics and, like,
- 7:04Speaker 1: you hate to say it, but people are gonna do
- 7:06Speaker 1: what looks best for them. Like I think Tino had
- 7:10Speaker 1: it in his mind like if I apologize, if I
- 7:12Speaker 1: can get back to where I can save myself in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the situation. Not Saying he doesn't like her, doesn't have
- 7:17Speaker 1: any feelings, but I do think that is something he
- 7:20Speaker 1: was thinking about. I just think for Tino there might
- 7:23Speaker 1: have been slight alter your motives, Um, to just kind
- 7:28Speaker 1: of flip the script towards his side in this situation,
- 7:33Speaker 1: alterior motives, like as of the motives that we heard
- 7:37Speaker 1: that Eric had no opportunities, not act opportunities. I just
- 7:42Speaker 1: think like when you're the villain of a season, you're
- 7:45Speaker 1: getting a ton of thrown at you all the time
- 7:49Speaker 1: and I think he knew that was going to happen
- 7:51Speaker 1: and he wanted to just maybe trying to take control
- 7:55Speaker 1: of the situation a little bit more. And again, I'm
- 7:57Speaker 1: not undermining his feeling, like he couldn't he couldn't be
- 8:01Speaker 1: had over heels in love with her. I just think
- 8:04Speaker 1: I don't know, we'll never know exactly. We'll never know
- 8:08Speaker 1: until we have Tino and Rachel on this podcast, which
- 8:11Speaker 1: hopefully is going to happen soon. We do have Rachel
- 8:13Speaker 1: coming on this week and we are working on getting Tino.
- 8:17Speaker 1: I think it's okay if I say that he and
- 8:19Speaker 1: Ben have spoken before. So we have a little, we
- 8:22Speaker 1: have a little of it inside knowledge and we have
- 8:24Speaker 1: a we have like a a side of the story
- 8:27Speaker 1: that we feel like we've heard first before last night.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So now it creates more of a debate in our head. Anyway,
- 8:34Speaker 1: let's go to the cheating part. So what happens is
- 8:38Speaker 1: Rachel basically does she stay on stage? I'm not even
- 8:40Speaker 1: sure like how this UN faults, but she basically tells
- 8:43Speaker 1: us there's been difficulties, right and it's not been smooth
- 8:47Speaker 1: sailing since that engagement. Like maybe they had two weeks
- 8:50Speaker 1: of pleasantries and then it went to like rocky road
- 8:53Speaker 1: and and then he and then he cheated on me.
- 8:58Speaker 1: That's how we heard it, and it's just like again, guys,
- 9:04Speaker 1: I am not downplaying this kiss. Okay, I really want
- 9:08Speaker 1: everybody know I do consider this. I do consider a
- 9:11Speaker 1: kiss cheating for sure. I know people are going to
- 9:13Speaker 1: bring back, bring up my story with jared. Yes, I
- 9:17Speaker 1: kissed shared an airport. It was cheating Um, but we
- 9:20Speaker 1: do get the story only from Rachel herself there, which
- 9:25Speaker 1: I think is a little unfair. She's the one that's
- 9:27Speaker 1: sitting there solo and says it got rocky and he
- 9:31Speaker 1: cheated on me. Let's go watch the footage. What do
- 9:34Speaker 1: you think about that? They're in a relationship, they're engaged.
- 9:40Speaker 1: I would be kiss so we're engaging with it and
- 9:42Speaker 1: kissed someone. Not Saying we wouldn't work through it, but
- 9:45Speaker 1: it's like that is that's big. That is a big thing.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I think she deserves to be upset about that. Huge, oh,
- 9:52Speaker 1: for sure, for sure. But is it like a relationship ender?
- 9:55Speaker 1: If you think this is your one and only engaged
- 9:59Speaker 1: we're going to get married again? I don't know. But
- 10:01Speaker 1: also there it's like they're in the beginning of a
- 10:03Speaker 1: relationship even though they're engaged. I'm okay again. I'm now
- 10:07Speaker 1: not being clear enough, because I'm not downplaying I'm not
- 10:11Speaker 1: downplaying the importance of this cheating moment. I'm wondering if
- 10:16Speaker 1: there's more to this, if she's a leaving out lots
- 10:19Speaker 1: of parts of the story on that stage, without Tino
- 10:23Speaker 1: there to interrupt and be like wait, wait, it's like
- 10:25Speaker 1: you're missing the you're missing the time. That led me
- 10:27Speaker 1: to that moment. And then at one point they were
- 10:30Speaker 1: like threatening each other to drink dirt. Why is this happening? Like,
- 10:35Speaker 1: if anything, just protect your families, protect yourself with certain crap. Obviously. Why?
- 10:40Speaker 1: Why would you allude to their even being drama, because
- 10:43Speaker 1: then that's going to be dug up exactly that. That
- 10:49Speaker 1: moment was huge, but it alluded to me even more
- 10:53Speaker 1: there's so much to this story missing. So that's why
- 10:57Speaker 1: I was so upset when they the moment with Avan,
- 11:01Speaker 1: because we're getting even if, like, if you cheated on her,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you suck, you suck and you don't deserve her and like,
- 11:10Speaker 1: I'm not conduct like your Buck Gross, but I but
- 11:16Speaker 1: I feel like it was particularly cruel to do what
- 11:20Speaker 1: they do with Avin coming on stage, because I don't
- 11:24Speaker 1: think we got the whole version of the story because
- 11:27Speaker 1: they so, they basically told us we did it. Chris,
- 11:29Speaker 1: you yeah, I mean, here's the thing is, Tino had
- 11:34Speaker 1: no shot. Um, you know, obviously Rachel's gonna have the
- 11:38Speaker 1: opportunity to tell her side of the story. Um, the
- 11:41Speaker 1: majority of the Yes, what what he did obviously was wrong,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and there's you know, there's there's there's nothing okay with that,
- 11:48Speaker 1: but there is a lot more to the story. There
- 11:50Speaker 1: always is, Um, and he didn't really get the opportunity
- 11:53Speaker 1: to kind of say that. And by the time he
- 11:55Speaker 1: did get up there and have the opportunity, he was
- 11:58Speaker 1: he had no shot. I mean he was just also
- 12:00Speaker 1: like she didn't really let him talk much and I
- 12:02Speaker 1: didn't like that. Obviously she was upset and stuff while
- 12:05Speaker 1: he was up there, but he didn't really have a
- 12:07Speaker 1: shot to apologize Um truly. Maybe, I don't know, it
- 12:11Speaker 1: wasn't really genuine or what not, but I don't think.
- 12:15Speaker 1: You know, I think she could have been more receptive of,
- 12:19Speaker 1: you know, what he was trying to say and obviously
- 12:21Speaker 1: they both have a lot more to say, which we
- 12:23Speaker 1: don't we don't know about Um. So, you know, I
- 12:27Speaker 1: don't I didn't feel bad for him by any means,
- 12:29Speaker 1: but I also felt like they went way too far.
- 12:33Speaker 1: M As far as yes, they buried that guy. They
- 12:35Speaker 1: buried him on stage and then they didn't even worse
- 12:38Speaker 1: when they brought Evan back on to the stage, which
- 12:41Speaker 1: was the most awkward thing I've probably ever seen in
- 12:43Speaker 1: the ten years I've been watching the show, like it
- 12:45Speaker 1: wasn't even pleasant to watch. And I feel like once
- 12:47Speaker 1: you get to the finale, you want those warm, bubbly
- 12:50Speaker 1: feelings because you just spent how many months invested in
- 12:53Speaker 1: these people, and it's like they kind of gave us
- 12:56Speaker 1: that with Gabby. Yeah, I wanted I want to like
- 13:00Speaker 1: I am being hugged by bastard nation at the end,
- 13:04Speaker 1: and that was just like a slap in the face
- 13:05Speaker 1: to viewers as well. It was like my heart was pounding,
- 13:09Speaker 1: like I felt like I was involved personally, because it
- 13:13Speaker 1: just it felt so intrusive and it felt such like
- 13:17Speaker 1: a bully fest. Like, you know, we've talked in the
- 13:19Speaker 1: past about bullying and how the mental health of these contestants.
- 13:23Speaker 1: We've done it on these tell alls, and I just
- 13:25Speaker 1: feel like that moment was bullying because, yeah, he didn't,
- 13:30Speaker 1: he didn't have like that. He was Never gonna win, right,
- 13:33Speaker 1: you're just saying they they buried him. He really had
- 13:36Speaker 1: no opportunity. Also, he's just he's not quick on his feet. Um,
- 13:42Speaker 1: Rachel is just, you know, she is, she she knows,
- 13:47Speaker 1: you know, she knows how to handle a moment like
- 13:51Speaker 1: that and he does not. And then the whole audience. Yeah,
- 13:56Speaker 1: also like the whole you know, this guy's had so
- 13:58Speaker 1: much time to think about this. You know what am
- 14:00Speaker 1: I going to say? How am I gonna how am
- 14:02Speaker 1: I gonna save myself, or how do I do this
- 14:05Speaker 1: without bringing up stuff that we don't want to bring up,
- 14:08Speaker 1: you know, and like, once you get up there and
- 14:11Speaker 1: you're trying to explain yourself or or say things, it's
- 14:13Speaker 1: just it never comes out to you want. Never, never. Yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 1: so he was. He was in a tough spot. Yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: you were talking about it and not too I feel
- 14:24Speaker 1: like she wants the true apology, but when I was
- 14:28Speaker 1: watching him, like he, he, and then she was like
- 14:31Speaker 1: she he wrote me a letter apologizing. Hopefully he apologizes
- 14:34Speaker 1: to I'm like she ended by saying he didn't even apologize. Yeah,
- 14:39Speaker 1: and it's like how much more, like you're going to
- 14:43Speaker 1: drag yourself down even more trying to get this from
- 14:48Speaker 1: someone who he's just not going to give you what
- 14:49Speaker 1: you want at yeah, I did a poll on my
- 14:52Speaker 1: instagram last night. Let me pull up what the current
- 14:57Speaker 1: numbers are. Okay, so I said, what are your thoughts
- 15:01Speaker 1: in the moment? was a cruel spie feel and unnecessary,
- 15:03Speaker 1: or he deserved it. So eight sixty eight percent. So
- 15:07Speaker 1: it was cruel, Spie, fuel and unnecessary and said that
- 15:11Speaker 1: he deserved it the show. Regardless of like what their
- 15:14Speaker 1: thoughts were in that moment, they definitely got shatter. They
- 15:19Speaker 1: got shatter. We are all talking about it. We all
- 15:21Speaker 1: felt something in that moment and you know what, you know,
- 15:28Speaker 1: you know, you know, Um, the the other thing that
- 15:34Speaker 1: I wanted to point out was that there was like,
- 15:38Speaker 1: I'm all about the female empowerment. We love our Bachelorettes,
- 15:41Speaker 1: love them. They typically stay with their final person longer, Um,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and they typically just handle the entire experience with more
- 15:53Speaker 1: grace and poison intelligence. And I, you know, love the
- 15:59Speaker 1: girls in the audience. We had Becka, Michelle and Caitlin.
- 16:03Speaker 1: I do feel like it was a little bit of
- 16:06Speaker 1: a girl gang thing. I feel like they were trying
- 16:09Speaker 1: to set it up so that they'd have three bachelorettes
- 16:12Speaker 1: that it didn't work out with. They're in quote, support
- 16:16Speaker 1: of Rachel Um, even though, and then they're all gonna
- 16:20Speaker 1: be on her side, and I just felt like it
- 16:24Speaker 1: was a little bit like, okay, Um, I love that
- 16:28Speaker 1: we support our girls, but also let's not like bring
- 16:33Speaker 1: down men like like, like, let's not tear down men
- 16:37Speaker 1: while supporting women, do you know what I mean? And
- 16:40Speaker 1: I feel like they. I feel like what if we
- 16:44Speaker 1: reverse this and and we we we embarrassed a woman
- 16:48Speaker 1: like this, if a girl kissed one of our bachelor's
- 16:52Speaker 1: and then we had him get escorted out by his
- 16:55Speaker 1: runner up, no what like there be. The whole fandom
- 16:59Speaker 1: would be up in arms. It seems like sixty eight
- 17:02Speaker 1: percent of people did not like it Um, but I
- 17:05Speaker 1: would say it was a hundred percent. Would not like
- 17:07Speaker 1: it if it was a girl. Absolutely everything, everything that
- 17:12Speaker 1: you see on these shows, it's calculated. It's calculated by producers.
- 17:15Speaker 1: It's calculated to get to you to feel a certain way,
- 17:17Speaker 1: and I think the show knew that they were going
- 17:19Speaker 1: to do this extreme thing and they wanted to back
- 17:22Speaker 1: it up, seeing like it was an empowering girl moment,
- 17:25Speaker 1: and that's why they had them in the audience. And
- 17:27Speaker 1: then even if, like you saw their tiktok's, like, I
- 17:30Speaker 1: think it was, like you said, it was all set
- 17:32Speaker 1: up to look a certain way for opjects. You know
- 17:34Speaker 1: what I thought would have been more empowering for women
- 17:38Speaker 1: or just in general for the show, is if she actually,
- 17:41Speaker 1: I'm not saying forgave him for everything he did. Put
- 17:44Speaker 1: at the end, forgave him, like okay, like I'm moving
- 17:47Speaker 1: on with my life, I forgive you. This happened, this
- 17:50Speaker 1: was you know, that's the past, like let's move on,
- 17:53Speaker 1: don't drag this guy, don't bring this other man on
- 17:56Speaker 1: the stage and like there's there's no lesson to be
- 17:59Speaker 1: learned in that whole thing, like you need, you know,
- 18:01Speaker 1: forgiveness is a lot more difficult than saying you know,
- 18:06Speaker 1: you know exactly. So I thought that would have been
- 18:08Speaker 1: a nice moment. And obviously you know it's it's tough
- 18:11Speaker 1: when that happens to you. But if she was able
- 18:13Speaker 1: to forgive hi at the end of that, he walks off,
- 18:16Speaker 1: then you know, even comes on and they have this
- 18:18Speaker 1: whole thing and I thought that would have been a
- 18:20Speaker 1: real nice touch for the show. When don't we have
- 18:22Speaker 1: all felt better about that, like we felt good, we'd
- 18:25Speaker 1: be more in support of whatever happens with AVN. It
- 18:28Speaker 1: just would have given us more of that bachelor ending
- 18:30Speaker 1: that we crave. But I think the show could have
- 18:34Speaker 1: like coached her to do that if they wanted. If
- 18:37Speaker 1: they wanted that to happen versus the mess that we
- 18:40Speaker 1: saw last night. They could have been like we think,
- 18:42Speaker 1: like you should forgive him, like we all know that.
- 18:46Speaker 1: They put things in people's ears and you end up
- 18:48Speaker 1: doing that, especially these teels. And I don't know how
- 18:52Speaker 1: much of it, but they could have coached her a
- 18:55Speaker 1: little more to have that warm, fuzzy ending that I
- 18:58Speaker 1: think we all wanted. Well, they're no doubt that we
- 19:01Speaker 1: got ended with Gabby, because we get the quote warm
- 19:04Speaker 1: fuzzy ending. However, I was so trapictized by the other
- 19:10Speaker 1: moment that I couldn't enjoy it. My Dad was like you.
- 19:13Speaker 1: They're like go grab more wine. It's like, well, I don't,
- 19:16Speaker 1: I don't want to be stressed tonight. I want to
- 19:18Speaker 1: feel Goodah, they just booted Rachel, like it was like
- 19:22Speaker 1: all right, we're done with Rachel. You never saw her
- 19:25Speaker 1: again after like she left with yeah, okay, I again.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I really I can't get over this, so I'm just
- 19:32Speaker 1: gonna keep talking about it. We have to talk about
- 19:35Speaker 1: Um Tino space. Like the demoralization that was occurring was
- 19:39Speaker 1: just so heartbreaking. Like again, I don't care, even if
- 19:43Speaker 1: you're like a crappy person. Or let's let even call
- 19:45Speaker 1: him a carpers and let's just call him Um, somebody
- 19:48Speaker 1: who made a big mistake. Um. There's no need to
- 19:53Speaker 1: just totally destroy, humiliate demoralize somebody like the way that
- 19:58Speaker 1: they did with this. And it was all over his face,
- 20:00Speaker 1: which is so heartbreaking to me, and I know, I know,
- 20:03Speaker 1: people are out there gonna be like, but actually, he
- 20:05Speaker 1: demoralized her by kissing another girl. Totally respect that side.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I'm not saying I don't see it, but again, it's
- 20:11Speaker 1: not like one hurt cancels out another hurt. You know
- 20:15Speaker 1: whatever that expression is, Um. So, I mean, did you?
- 20:20Speaker 1: How do you guys feel? Just looking at his face,
- 20:22Speaker 1: it looked like he was on the verge of tears,
- 20:23Speaker 1: like I thought he was gonna start crying. Would mean
- 20:27Speaker 1: something like can I be done? Are we done? Like
- 20:29Speaker 1: can can this be over? Like that's what he was
- 20:31Speaker 1: mouthing and I just was like Oh, because, like that's
- 20:35Speaker 1: the worst he's standing in the audience that is booing him.
- 20:38Speaker 1: He just had. He like he basically just got slapped
- 20:41Speaker 1: in the face by someone else taking his girl, but
- 20:44Speaker 1: not his girl, but also like didn't get anywhere with
- 20:48Speaker 1: this conversation that he probably intended to have. It was
- 20:50Speaker 1: just like waghmy after Wahmmy after whammy. I'm also going
- 20:54Speaker 1: to go on a limb here and say that even
- 20:56Speaker 1: probably didn't want to do that. Yeah, he did not.
- 20:59Speaker 1: I was just lap, you can drop my Mike. Yes,
- 21:01Speaker 1: he did not. I would never do that. I would.
- 21:04Speaker 1: I would. You know, if they're like you should do this,
- 21:06Speaker 1: I'm like, m I mean I but he didn't know.
- 21:08Speaker 1: He would, Tina would still be out there. They had
- 21:11Speaker 1: any friendship? Did they have any friendship? I don't even
- 21:14Speaker 1: think it matters. You just don't do that to a person. Yeah,
- 21:17Speaker 1: that's just brutal. But it seemed like when once he
- 21:20Speaker 1: walked out there, I think once he saw the situation
- 21:23Speaker 1: to it was almost like because it wasn't as sweep
- 21:27Speaker 1: you off the feet, prince, like it was kind of
- 21:30Speaker 1: timid for what the moment was supposed to be. And
- 21:32Speaker 1: I think it's because he realized Tino was out there
- 21:34Speaker 1: and he didn't. And there's a good, good chance, just
- 21:38Speaker 1: knowing how it things unfold, that that even did not know.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I really don't think he knew and once he stepped out,
- 21:45Speaker 1: you could, I don't even have to say it again,
- 21:48Speaker 1: what you said was perfect. He did not. He was like,
- 21:51Speaker 1: Oh God, how am I? I'm so embarrassed that I
- 21:54Speaker 1: am doing this, I don't want to make this move,
- 21:57Speaker 1: I think this move is gross. And then Rachel's face.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I didn't like Rachel's expression. Rachel was like Ah, my moment,
- 22:05Speaker 1: my moment. He had no empathy at all, and I
- 22:08Speaker 1: don't know, maybe maybe I would be like that, because
- 22:13Speaker 1: I would. I try to put myself in moments like this.
- 22:17Speaker 1: You're you're just I know my I know myself. I'm
- 22:19Speaker 1: not perfect, I'm not an angel. There's lots of times
- 22:21Speaker 1: where I just want to get back at someone, and
- 22:25Speaker 1: that would have been one of the bachelor moments that
- 22:27Speaker 1: I just wanted to get back at someone. I made
- 22:28Speaker 1: have smiled and had that vindicated feeling too. I need
- 22:31Speaker 1: to put myself in that position, um, but I just
- 22:34Speaker 1: feel like in the position of me sitting here, I
- 22:37Speaker 1: was just like, Oh my God, I don't care if
- 22:39Speaker 1: he kissed another girl. I would have been so sad
- 22:42Speaker 1: for him and I wouldn't want him to be embarrassed
- 22:44Speaker 1: like this. But then again, I really guys, I'm trying
- 22:48Speaker 1: to see both sides and I may have responded under
- 22:51Speaker 1: the spotlight the way that she did. I'm thinking if
- 22:54Speaker 1: someone who really hurt me, I would like and also
- 22:59Speaker 1: say kind of like when if you watch crime, drug
- 23:02Speaker 1: Kas or anything, or listen to it, they're like you
- 23:04Speaker 1: never know how you're gonna reacts. Are you gonna smile
- 23:08Speaker 1: or you're gonna Laugh awkwardly, you're gonna cry, like you
- 23:10Speaker 1: never really know. So I don't want to put too
- 23:12Speaker 1: much weight into her reaction. But also this, this was
- 23:17Speaker 1: her last time to really, you know, do anything, do
- 23:21Speaker 1: anything in a positive light for herself. So I think, yeah,
- 23:24Speaker 1: she was trying her best. Yeah, I think you're right.
- 23:28Speaker 1: I think I probably would have been like, uh, screw you,
- 23:33Speaker 1: look at the shining moment for me. I know myself's
- 23:35Speaker 1: well enough to know that I probably would have responded
- 23:37Speaker 1: the same. So let's forget my initial comment. So, guys,
- 23:42Speaker 1: Um one last thing before we move on from this.
- 23:45Speaker 1: I did find a tweet last night that I thought
- 23:47Speaker 1: was super interesting. It was a response to one of mine.
- 23:50Speaker 1: This person said, isn't it wild that we are supposed
- 23:54Speaker 1: to be pleased with even popping up like it's some
- 23:57Speaker 1: happy ending? Yet last time we saw him he was
- 24:00Speaker 1: accused by Rachel of leading her on while he was
- 24:04Speaker 1: saying that he wasn't ready to get engaged. How long
- 24:08Speaker 1: is our collective attention span? I guess. I guess the
- 24:14Speaker 1: last time they technically were together, she was they were like,
- 24:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, Um, on
- 24:19Speaker 1: that night, on that you know, finale hot seat, but
- 24:25Speaker 1: let's not forget the conversation that broke them up. Yeah,
- 24:30Speaker 1: now it is interesting to comment on Bachelori Bachelor nation's
- 24:36Speaker 1: attention span, because it's like zero. Things get flipped, they forget,
- 24:40Speaker 1: like even remember, like filming. I was like, my ponytail
- 24:45Speaker 1: wasn't up when we were doing this and you're doing another.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I T M like the audience won't notice and guess
- 24:50Speaker 1: what they didn't like. As much as bachelor nation loves
- 24:54Speaker 1: being sleuths and like looking into things because it's fun,
- 24:57Speaker 1: paying attention to details doesn't really happen as often as
- 25:02Speaker 1: we think, or we'd like to think it does. Oh Yeah,
- 25:06Speaker 1: one thousand and another thing that I would have loved
- 25:10Speaker 1: to hear from Jesse, which, obviously the timing wasn't right,
- 25:15Speaker 1: but I would love to, I guess, talk to Rachel
- 25:17Speaker 1: about when she comes on this podcast is what are
- 25:20Speaker 1: your thoughts now on getting engaged at the end? Do
- 25:23Speaker 1: you think it's as much of a must as it was,
- 25:26Speaker 1: or do you think that even may have had a point? Yeah,
- 25:28Speaker 1: I think that'd be I think we all want to
- 25:30Speaker 1: hear the answer to that question. I think hindsight, you grow,
- 25:34Speaker 1: you learn things that you wanted a couple our year ago,
- 25:37Speaker 1: a couple of months ago, might not be the same,
- 25:39Speaker 1: especially after she's gone through all of this, which is
- 25:41Speaker 1: like such a life changing, mind changing thing. Her answer
- 25:46Speaker 1: role probably because I am a totally different person, especially emotionally,
- 25:53Speaker 1: and like how I process my emotions because of the show.
- 25:57Speaker 1: So I just think that that was probably one of
- 25:59Speaker 1: the big lessons she got from it, was just being like, ah,
- 26:03Speaker 1: let's prioritize this solidarity of the relationship instead of on TV.
- 26:09Speaker 1: He was the whole again when they were going back
- 26:11Speaker 1: and forth and he was like, well, I went to
- 26:14Speaker 1: therapy for you, like so obviously they're both trying to
- 26:17Speaker 1: work on themselves, but it was just weird that dirty
- 26:20Speaker 1: laundry was aired a little. I'm going to take a
- 26:24Speaker 1: break right now because I want to talk guess what,
- 26:28Speaker 1: just a little bit more about this and then we'll
- 26:30Speaker 1: move on to Gabby. See in a second. And we're
- 26:43Speaker 1: back and and I just had a great thought before
- 26:47Speaker 1: the break. She was talking about how they went to
- 26:49Speaker 1: therapy or like did they collectively go to therapy or
- 26:52Speaker 1: was she going through therapy? And he was like very
- 26:56Speaker 1: supportive of that because she was going through a really
- 26:58Speaker 1: tough time. She did say multiple times I was going
- 27:01Speaker 1: through a really tough time around the premiere of the show,
- 27:05Speaker 1: which I think. I think what you said where she
- 27:07Speaker 1: went which is great, like, especially going through this. I
- 27:12Speaker 1: went through therapy all that. I don't think you can
- 27:14Speaker 1: be a lead on the show or even like a
- 27:16Speaker 1: crucial character and not have a hard time mentally with it. Well,
- 27:22Speaker 1: applaud her all the way for going to therapy. Is
- 27:27Speaker 1: that something that she wanted out there, because I feel
- 27:30Speaker 1: like he said it. I don't know. It's again they
- 27:32Speaker 1: were just airing each other's dirty laundry and it felt
- 27:34Speaker 1: like they were just trying to hurt each other up
- 27:36Speaker 1: there versus find a conclusion. Chris, it looks like you
- 27:39Speaker 1: have thoughts. Yeah, I don't think you like throw that
- 27:41Speaker 1: out there as something like hey, I did this so
- 27:45Speaker 1: I deserve this right. Yeah, we go to therapy, you know,
- 27:48Speaker 1: first for ourselves, because, you know, if you're not right
- 27:51Speaker 1: with yourself, and there's no way you can be right
- 27:53Speaker 1: in relationship. But I don't think you should use it
- 27:55Speaker 1: as a as a, as a crutch, Um, you know,
- 27:58Speaker 1: as like hey, like, I went to therapy, like I'm better,
- 28:02Speaker 1: you know, I'm better than you, for I was working
- 28:04Speaker 1: on myself and all that stuff. Do you think that
- 28:06Speaker 1: that's how she used it? Personally? Yes, Um, to an extent,
- 28:11Speaker 1: and like very, you know, Cudis to her for going
- 28:15Speaker 1: and working herself. The hardest thing is is to actually
- 28:18Speaker 1: admitting that you need to go to therapy or you
- 28:20Speaker 1: need therapy for help. But I also don't think it
- 28:22Speaker 1: should be thrown around like that as, you know, something
- 28:24Speaker 1: that she can almost use as an excuse that she
- 28:27Speaker 1: was doing more than he was, um, you know, in
- 28:29Speaker 1: the relationship. Yeah, right, right, like that is the exact
- 28:34Speaker 1: exactly exactly. Um. Do you guys have anything to say
- 28:40Speaker 1: about the moment where they're in the house and he
- 28:43Speaker 1: brings out the like what we're gonna call just the
- 28:45Speaker 1: bachelor burn book or the the Rachel Burn Book. Always
- 28:51Speaker 1: mole skins. That was the first thing I saw. Is like,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you know, we were just sitting down. I see him
- 29:01Speaker 1: walking in with this notebook. I'm like, Oh man, he
- 29:03Speaker 1: brought notes. This is Um. Do we know what was even?
- 29:09Speaker 1: What was even there? I think he just like three
- 29:11Speaker 1: bullet points. Yeah, I get the intention of wanting to
- 29:16Speaker 1: bring notes because, like, I don't know, I can't keep
- 29:18Speaker 1: my mind straight, especially and argue. There's also a zero
- 29:21Speaker 1: chance that he probably wanted to bring that note. Write
- 29:25Speaker 1: down your thoughts, write down everything you want to say
- 29:28Speaker 1: and bring it to her. We know, Um. But yeah,
- 29:31Speaker 1: just it was all again, nothing about the ending for
- 29:35Speaker 1: those two felt good. Nothing felt good. It all felt piggy.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Watching all of it and like you want to be
- 29:42Speaker 1: like yeah, girl, get back that rig but for some
- 29:45Speaker 1: reason how they edited and filmed whatever on the back
- 29:49Speaker 1: end it didn't come off well. For you shot it
- 29:53Speaker 1: before and they've done it. Was Be good where you
- 29:55Speaker 1: were like Hannah and where you have these empowers. Oh
- 29:58Speaker 1: my God, the a moment was so good. Why do
- 30:02Speaker 1: we not like this? One persons the other two? Is
- 30:04Speaker 1: it times have changed, or like, what's going on here?
- 30:08Speaker 1: That's but again, I think that goes back to my
- 30:10Speaker 1: initial argument. We feel like something's missing and I now
- 30:15Speaker 1: want to deep dive into what could have been missing
- 30:19Speaker 1: because again, they alluded to it. You go both of
- 30:22Speaker 1: them on stage. Do you want to get into that now?
- 30:24Speaker 1: Do you really want to do that on we really?
- 30:27Speaker 1: I thought we basically they said like the crux of it,
- 30:31Speaker 1: as what Rachel was referring to as difficulties, so big Um,
- 30:36Speaker 1: and they were like they basically had a pact that like,
- 30:39Speaker 1: no matter what, they weren't going to go into on
- 30:41Speaker 1: TVs in respect. But then you don't give it to us.
- 30:45Speaker 1: I know I don't sit and like now it's gonna
- 30:48Speaker 1: be worse. We're gonna be like thinking of worse things
- 30:51Speaker 1: happened in this relationship when it it's probably just personal
- 30:54Speaker 1: ship that want. But it's totally okay to keep things
- 30:59Speaker 1: to yourself. It's not even when you're in the line,
- 31:01Speaker 1: like you need to have those boundaries for yourself and
- 31:03Speaker 1: I respect that for both of them. Yeah. So, so
- 31:09Speaker 1: if we respect so much, we will not do the
- 31:11Speaker 1: dirty and speculate what it was about. You can all
- 31:15Speaker 1: just they probably had a really rough time and we've
- 31:17Speaker 1: all had rough times and relationships and yeah, it's just
- 31:22Speaker 1: it was probably hard because, again, you're starting off on
- 31:26Speaker 1: this deep into a relationship, but really how much you
- 31:29Speaker 1: know each other? So there's not that strong foundation that
- 31:33Speaker 1: a lot of relationships have have by the time big
- 31:37Speaker 1: things get brought up, and I can see how that
- 31:40Speaker 1: can shake yeah, and make it really difficult. Do you
- 31:44Speaker 1: guys sense any like of her talking down to him? Well, yeah, okay,
- 31:51Speaker 1: but again I think I would talk down and so
- 31:53Speaker 1: if you hurt me I would be like boo, boo, boo.
- 31:59Speaker 1: It would be nice having those conversations already happened. Yet
- 32:02Speaker 1: it's like why, you know, why bring it on stage?
- 32:06Speaker 1: Obviously it's it's a show, but why make it even
- 32:10Speaker 1: way worse, you know, than it already is? Obviously that's
- 32:13Speaker 1: what we live for and stuff, but I think there's
- 32:16Speaker 1: the there's the point. It's like, all right, I want
- 32:18Speaker 1: to be the one that's right at the end of this.
- 32:20Speaker 1: I want to want I want to be the one
- 32:21Speaker 1: that looks the best at the end of this, and
- 32:23Speaker 1: I think a lot of that, a lot of the
- 32:25Speaker 1: emotion that, you know, came out of racial was partially that. That's,
- 32:29Speaker 1: you know, just kind of my opinion that and I
- 32:31Speaker 1: think it goes back to what you said before. I
- 32:33Speaker 1: think everything would have been better if there was an
- 32:35Speaker 1: accepted apology, like I'm not going to choose you in
- 32:40Speaker 1: the end. This isn't gonna be but I accept your apology.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Thank you. Yeah, do you know what? Maybe it wasn't
- 32:45Speaker 1: even so much like a talking down to I guess
- 32:48Speaker 1: it was. Normally, when we see these, it's more of
- 32:52Speaker 1: a fight, it's more of like his side her side,
- 32:55Speaker 1: and in this case it just didn't seem like you
- 32:58Speaker 1: was well, well, it seems like you know, isn't prepared
- 33:00Speaker 1: to fight back. He just he just like he was
- 33:03Speaker 1: just like, ah, I will sit here and get crushed
- 33:06Speaker 1: and then my life will return back to normal and
- 33:09Speaker 1: I will go into hiding. It was acceptance of crushing.
- 33:13Speaker 1: There just was no fighting back, which I think, or
- 33:16Speaker 1: you know, there was like maybe a small attempt, but
- 33:18Speaker 1: like it's just there was a powerhouse and then a
- 33:21Speaker 1: weak house back it would look worse and honestly, he
- 33:26Speaker 1: probably think of it like it's they had the exact
- 33:29Speaker 1: same conversation in the House that they had on the
- 33:30Speaker 1: chair and nothing they did. It wasn't like there should
- 33:34Speaker 1: have been a little more molding and prepping of that
- 33:38Speaker 1: conversation so something else would happen. And before I leave
- 33:42Speaker 1: this conversation, I do want to say that, like I know,
- 33:44Speaker 1: people will give us lots of crap. Again, I'm saying
- 33:48Speaker 1: this again, Um, that people will give us lots of
- 33:49Speaker 1: crap before defending a cheater. And again, I'm not really
- 33:52Speaker 1: trying to defend a cheater here, I'm really not. I
- 33:54Speaker 1: think that there was just a lot that was missing
- 33:56Speaker 1: and I wanted a lot more contexts Um and I
- 34:01Speaker 1: do want to watch the show back again. I really,
- 34:03Speaker 1: really wanted to watch that part again and like analyze everything.
- 34:07Speaker 1: So I am an open book. Please send all your
- 34:11Speaker 1: thoughts to me about what unfolded and tell me where
- 34:15Speaker 1: I'm wrong and all that. I actually got a text
- 34:17Speaker 1: from one of my best friends this morning. She had
- 34:20Speaker 1: no idea, like she didn't see me on social media
- 34:22Speaker 1: at all responding to this. She goes, I need to
- 34:24Speaker 1: know how you feel about Tino and Rachel on stage
- 34:26Speaker 1: with Avan. I have never been so happy with that.
- 34:30Speaker 1: I hate cheating of any kind and I was really
- 34:32Speaker 1: not taking and he really wasn't taking responsibility and when
- 34:36Speaker 1: even came out, I was so happy all caps, mainly
- 34:39Speaker 1: because Rachel was so happy, and that's why I watched
- 34:41Speaker 1: the show for a happy ending. But I know some
- 34:44Speaker 1: people feel bad, but that expose him and make him
- 34:48Speaker 1: feel like an ass, make him feel stupid. On live
- 34:50Speaker 1: TV he got engaged kissed another girl. I was shocked
- 34:53Speaker 1: and happy, but never did feel bad. I'm an aries
- 34:57Speaker 1: and I'm heartless and but wow, I'm shocked. Enjoy Italy.
- 35:02Speaker 1: have lots of pasta, wine and Gelato, I guess. Yeah,
- 35:06Speaker 1: there's two sides. I guess there there is six percent.
- 35:09Speaker 1: He said that we're really happy to watch it. I
- 35:11Speaker 1: just think again, after you've been in a position of
- 35:15Speaker 1: just having thrown at you, you have more empathy towards
- 35:19Speaker 1: someone which we're watching the show before I went on
- 35:21Speaker 1: and I'd probably been like save with her. Yeah, but again,
- 35:25Speaker 1: I think we've all seen the repercussions of what happens
- 35:28Speaker 1: after that TV show turns off and, like the D M,
- 35:31Speaker 1: do you get the letters? You get your family getting
- 35:33Speaker 1: death threats, like that's not what we want and I
- 35:36Speaker 1: think from our end we're saying it could have been
- 35:38Speaker 1: a little nicer. Right. What was missing was Tino's Dad,
- 35:42Speaker 1: Mr Franco. That's who wasn't there last night and I
- 35:46Speaker 1: thought he was going to be the next barb. But
- 35:48Speaker 1: now I think about it more and I think about
- 35:50Speaker 1: how this ended and I'm like, Noah, they didn't need
- 35:52Speaker 1: that extra layer there. So what do you guys think
- 35:54Speaker 1: about his absence? Yeah, because barb was in Peter's Corner
- 35:59Speaker 1: and Peter was the main character, so that made sense.
- 36:03Speaker 1: The main character that you know, dad doesn't need to
- 36:06Speaker 1: be there and we don't need to throw any more
- 36:08Speaker 1: hate towards that. I don't think they needed it. I
- 36:10Speaker 1: don't know. I don't think they needed it at all.
- 36:13Speaker 1: But I'm guessing from a perspective would have been Nice
- 36:16Speaker 1: ousone in his corner and like optics from the audience,
- 36:20Speaker 1: like when everyone's booing ivetad would have been like, oh
- 36:25Speaker 1: my God, they would have had to have that seven
- 36:27Speaker 1: second delay. Would have had to have been yeah, that
- 36:34Speaker 1: would have been good to me. Oh my goodness. Okay, well, guys,
- 36:38Speaker 1: guess what? We just spent forty minutes analyzing the Tino
- 36:43Speaker 1: and Rachel showdown and after this break we're going to
- 36:47Speaker 1: discuss gabby and Eric. Alrighty, righty, righty, Um. We have
- 37:03Speaker 1: got to talk about Gabby and Eric. So were you
- 37:06Speaker 1: guys surprised to see him get down one knee? I
- 37:09Speaker 1: was a little surprised because we had that freak out
- 37:12Speaker 1: moment where we weren't sure whether or not he was
- 37:14Speaker 1: ready to get engaged. Um. But I will say the
- 37:19Speaker 1: little yellow box and a lot of Gabby's expressions along
- 37:23Speaker 1: the way during the live show made me feel like
- 37:26Speaker 1: she was very happy and uh, I okay. So I
- 37:30Speaker 1: wasn't as surprised at that moment to see him get
- 37:32Speaker 1: down one knee. That that I would have been. You know,
- 37:34Speaker 1: last week I've been more surprised by paradise engagements than
- 37:39Speaker 1: by that engagement last night. So not super surprised. But again,
- 37:43Speaker 1: I's always doubt. Yeah, always, I mean I was I
- 37:49Speaker 1: wasn't that surprised because I feel like, Um, obviously that's
- 37:53Speaker 1: the end goal here on the show and you know,
- 37:56Speaker 1: even he talked about how, Um, you know, he never
- 37:59Speaker 1: watched the show and he was it was gonna be
- 38:01Speaker 1: really hard for him to to, you know, be get
- 38:04Speaker 1: an engagement at the end of the show. But if
- 38:07Speaker 1: you feel you feel it. I'm kind of sick of
- 38:09Speaker 1: that narrative. I feel like we see it, we've seen
- 38:11Speaker 1: it a lot lately in the past couple seasons, and
- 38:14Speaker 1: that well, I'm not ready to get engaged. It's like, yeah,
- 38:17Speaker 1: that's like literally the point of the show. Play a lot,
- 38:20Speaker 1: just play. That has been that has been a big narrative.
- 38:24Speaker 1: You're right. Can we think of other narratives to push
- 38:27Speaker 1: versus like, Huh, well, I'm sure about getting engaged? Yeah,
- 38:30Speaker 1: there's a higher like there's more concerning things we could
- 38:33Speaker 1: come up with for people. Yes, but but to that
- 38:36Speaker 1: point when you go on the show before, you're like
- 38:39Speaker 1: I am so ready to get engaged, like yes, but
- 38:41Speaker 1: when you get to the serious point of the show
- 38:44Speaker 1: and you're like, holy sh I might get engaged after this,
- 38:47Speaker 1: then you start thinking, well, am I ready to get engaged?
- 38:50Speaker 1: You don't really think like that until that opportunity is
- 38:54Speaker 1: in front of you. Um, so it's completely different from
- 38:57Speaker 1: thank you. Thank you, Chris, for bringing that up, because
- 39:00Speaker 1: you have been in that point of the process multiple times,
- 39:04Speaker 1: as Anna and I have not been so great. Okay,
- 39:09Speaker 1: thank you for bringing us into bachelor reality. Now we now.
- 39:14Speaker 1: I guess the real question is, were you guys shocked
- 39:17Speaker 1: to see them? What seems to be happy now, after
- 39:23Speaker 1: lots of things have come out about him, the blackface
- 39:27Speaker 1: moment wasn't brought up. Kind of interesting. The moment that
- 39:31Speaker 1: I thought would really shake their relationship was the text
- 39:38Speaker 1: thing that came out this week. You guys are familiar,
- 39:42Speaker 1: but I will recap for the FANDOM. Um, they last
- 39:48Speaker 1: week Eric was there was a girl that came out
- 39:51Speaker 1: that said that she and Eric were dating before the
- 39:53Speaker 1: show and that it was that like he wanted to
- 39:58Speaker 1: get back together with her after the show, because he said,
- 40:00Speaker 1: it's just a show. It's in my my priority here
- 40:04Speaker 1: is to get opportunities. You know, it's off pretty much fake.
- 40:07Speaker 1: They even showed the text on the screen. I thought
- 40:09Speaker 1: it was crazy that they that they showed the text
- 40:11Speaker 1: on the screen. I was like, Rabo, this is good,
- 40:14Speaker 1: this is good stuff. Uh, this is like let's like,
- 40:18Speaker 1: let's have him respond to it directly, and he did.
- 40:22Speaker 1: You know, he said, like he didn't really understand the
- 40:25Speaker 1: show until he was on it, didn't really understand the
- 40:27Speaker 1: feelings that he could like develop on the show. Uh,
- 40:31Speaker 1: and he did. said that he apped up and like
- 40:35Speaker 1: he said sorry. You know right, he said sorry. But
- 40:37Speaker 1: I guess my question here is do you think that
- 40:40Speaker 1: it rattled their relationship, especially coming out last week, like,
- 40:43Speaker 1: do you think that he ever said this to Gabby
- 40:45Speaker 1: before it came out this week? Why? My answer is no,
- 40:48Speaker 1: I don't think this ever kep up to Gabby until
- 40:50Speaker 1: last week. And to do you think that? My question
- 40:52Speaker 1: to you. Do you think that it rattled him or
- 40:56Speaker 1: rattled them more than it appeared? And my thought is
- 41:01Speaker 1: he did, and it was just like, Oh man, the
- 41:04Speaker 1: live show is right around the corner. My dancing with
- 41:07Speaker 1: the stars from mirror is right around the corner. I'm
- 41:09Speaker 1: not dealing with this right now, but I think they
- 41:11Speaker 1: probably had a very, very rough week. I but they
- 41:16Speaker 1: did say they talked about it before. Oh, they didn't
- 41:19Speaker 1: feel like a straight up live then. Oh, I'm sorry,
- 41:22Speaker 1: I'm sorry, I missed you. I'm sorry, I missing okay,
- 41:25Speaker 1: she was like he brought it up to me before
- 41:27Speaker 1: we even started the text surface. So okay, okay, he's
- 41:30Speaker 1: been nothing but upfront, which I don't I believe him.
- 41:33Speaker 1: Like if I was, I'm horrible at Dumping People. So
- 41:37Speaker 1: I get his excuse of like, Oh, I'll come back
- 41:40Speaker 1: to you, I wasn't into yeah, he was like I
- 41:43Speaker 1: wasn't that into her. I don't know. I I believe
- 41:46Speaker 1: what he was saying. It's crappy, but it's like not
- 41:49Speaker 1: the worst. It's not going and kissing another girl while
- 41:52Speaker 1: you're engaged again. This comes back to like you don't
- 41:56Speaker 1: know what you're getting yourself into unless until you're like good,
- 42:00Speaker 1: close to the end and things get serious. So if
- 42:02Speaker 1: he's like hey, like I'm just gonna go and I'll
- 42:04Speaker 1: probably be gone by week three and we'll come back and,
- 42:07Speaker 1: you know, maybe I'll get some instagram ads out of this,
- 42:10Speaker 1: we can get back to our relationship. But I mean,
- 42:13Speaker 1: he obviously likes the girl, but I do think it's rattled.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I still think there's gonna be you know, that's going
- 42:20Speaker 1: to kind of come up. The whole black face thing.
- 42:23Speaker 1: That wasn't brought up. Was it not brought up last
- 42:26Speaker 1: week either? Like that's that's crazy. He did apologize on
- 42:30Speaker 1: Instagram last week not to bring it up. Put the
- 42:35Speaker 1: text on the screen to distract people. Again. ATTENTION SPAN
- 42:39Speaker 1: is short. A lot of people follow for it. But
- 42:41Speaker 1: what text on the SGRAM? Oh, the text message, the
- 42:44Speaker 1: text message on this day. That was like a shocking moment.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Both of us are seeing there were like they're not,
- 42:48Speaker 1: they're not gonna, like are we on with the springer
- 42:53Speaker 1: around Jared Springer? But yeah, I think it was a
- 42:57Speaker 1: smoke and mirror show too for the show to again
- 43:01Speaker 1: just they don't they obviously haven't handled situations from the
- 43:05Speaker 1: past the best, but it's just it's even worse when
- 43:07Speaker 1: you don't even acknowledge it. I mean I don't think
- 43:09Speaker 1: that the Matt and Rachel issue was dealt appropriately, you know,
- 43:14Speaker 1: perfectly at all, Um and I don't think this was
- 43:17Speaker 1: handled and it's just amazing that in two years, not
- 43:19Speaker 1: even we had that moment where she's, you know, an address,
- 43:26Speaker 1: and then we have a black face moment and they're
- 43:28Speaker 1: just they're just it's just one completely one eighty. Could
- 43:33Speaker 1: have given him like obviously it deserves more than this,
- 43:36Speaker 1: but anything is better than nothing. They could have given
- 43:38Speaker 1: him a minute to talk and yeah, kind of show
- 43:43Speaker 1: like this was wrong. But if I not bringing it up,
- 43:45Speaker 1: it's like the show's kind of condoning it. I don't
- 43:48Speaker 1: want him canceled, like I'm not saying that. I don't
- 43:51Speaker 1: you know, and I'm not into that, but I but yeah,
- 43:54Speaker 1: but that it's just like it's crazy that the difference
- 43:57Speaker 1: in the situations. I agree with like, if you do
- 44:01Speaker 1: it to someone, that it's got to happen or there's
- 44:03Speaker 1: got to be an opportunity to talk about or discuss
- 44:05Speaker 1: it or at least bring it up, because you can't.
- 44:08Speaker 1: You can't do one thing one time and then do
- 44:10Speaker 1: it completely different. Yeah, yeah, it's just hypocrisy and the
- 44:14Speaker 1: show feels like it's taking steps back again, which sucks
- 44:18Speaker 1: as the viewer. Alright, guys, I have just minutes left
- 44:22Speaker 1: with you, but we must talk about the new bachelor,
- 44:27Speaker 1: and that is Zack and Um. It's just interesting. I'm
- 44:33Speaker 1: just not this is my problem with it. Zactlys like
- 44:36Speaker 1: a super nice guy. Not. I'm not against Zack Um.
- 44:40Speaker 1: I am interested as to why they would pick a
- 44:42Speaker 1: bachelor from basically the lowest rate season of the Bachelorette,
- 44:47Speaker 1: because all we're gonna do is perpetuate the low ratings
- 44:51Speaker 1: because the people who you know, we we got a
- 44:53Speaker 1: small proportion of what was bachelor nation five years ago
- 44:59Speaker 1: watching the a season. So you're not gonna get back
- 45:02Speaker 1: any of that old audience by choosing a new guy.
- 45:04Speaker 1: I really wanted a throwback, a stunt casting and when
- 45:08Speaker 1: I need to throwback, I'm not saying far, far back.
- 45:10Speaker 1: You don't have to go back like with Ari, but even, like, yeah,
- 45:14Speaker 1: like like a Mike Johnson would have been great, Um,
- 45:17Speaker 1: because he's still a fan favorite. Like he freaking slammed
- 45:22Speaker 1: our Audrey's, our coffee shopping lounge like insanely. Um, Peter,
- 45:27Speaker 1: I mean, man, Oh man, do we love a Peter Krause.
- 45:30Speaker 1: He is a little bit more of a throwback from
- 45:32Speaker 1: Rachel's season, but that is a bachelor, you know, like
- 45:36Speaker 1: I would have if you want a two bachelor acts,
- 45:39Speaker 1: then get your two bachelors with Mike and Peter, and
- 45:42Speaker 1: then you can have people for multiple seasons coming together.
- 45:45Speaker 1: I feel bad for Zach getting any hate, but I
- 45:48Speaker 1: think it's just the fandom being like we need somebody
- 45:50Speaker 1: thrilling and you're a nice guy, but you're certainly not
- 45:54Speaker 1: thrilling your thoughts. You just it's like if you asked
- 45:59Speaker 1: him AI system to spit out with the next batter,
- 46:01Speaker 1: I'm just gonna look like it was nothing surprising. It
- 46:04Speaker 1: was just like boring. Um, I'm huge of like let's
- 46:08Speaker 1: just throw money at Tyler's and get could do it,
- 46:11Speaker 1: because that would be. Oh, guys, I was on the
- 46:15Speaker 1: pay tyler's C train, like I was chugging on it.
- 46:18Speaker 1: We were like to Cho pay tyler should see. gave
- 46:21Speaker 1: him anything he wants. It's the only way that I
- 46:23Speaker 1: thought you could have truly picked up the franchise, especially podcast,
- 46:27Speaker 1: being like I love to date, I love to date women.
- 46:30Speaker 1: Dating is my favorite. I saw it was a campaign
- 46:32Speaker 1: for him, who loves to date. He would be insane
- 46:38Speaker 1: to do it, absolutely insane to do it. Yeah, it would.
- 46:42Speaker 1: It would give him nothing. He already has so much
- 46:45Speaker 1: and you want skeletons brought up and how that bs
- 46:48Speaker 1: like that guy would be insane to do it. I
- 46:53Speaker 1: feel like the past couple of times there's been a lead,
- 46:57Speaker 1: no one's liked them. I mean what people really like? Gabby,
- 47:01Speaker 1: people are really sorry, but it's like you talk about
- 47:05Speaker 1: a boy lead because, well, I mean Matt. I personally
- 47:09Speaker 1: really enjoy Matt as a human. I think the thing
- 47:12Speaker 1: was people were like a random batch, a bachelor, a
- 47:15Speaker 1: friend of Tyler, not Tis um, but like, you know,
- 47:20Speaker 1: he was handsome and we'd liked Matt Right, but like
- 47:24Speaker 1: we just were like this guy isn't part of the
- 47:26Speaker 1: Bachelor nation. And then we had Clayton, which literally no
- 47:29Speaker 1: offense to Clayton and everyone, and I hate when people
- 47:33Speaker 1: say no offense and then totally demoralized them and the
- 47:35Speaker 1: next sentence. But like nobody cared about Clayton, and I
- 47:39Speaker 1: think this is the same thing as Clayton. No one
- 47:41Speaker 1: really cares Um. But yeah, I agree with that. Should
- 47:44Speaker 1: have done a throw back's yeah, he's about to be
- 47:49Speaker 1: remember that was like the whole thing in a fantasy suitets,
- 47:51Speaker 1: like ready for engagement and you're Styeng and you're so young.
- 47:54Speaker 1: But Ben and Colton were both twenty six as well
- 47:58Speaker 1: as like Ben, that is the oldest sold of all time.
- 48:04Speaker 1: Ben Is the oldest soul of all time. But also
- 48:06Speaker 1: mat was. I don't think. Oh, yeah, I don't. Yeah,
- 48:11Speaker 1: but then you're bringing on what are you bringing on?
- 48:13Speaker 1: Girls that are about the younger ages, because then it's
- 48:18Speaker 1: all girls who are ready for marriage. Well, you guys
- 48:22Speaker 1: should go to bachelor data. She has a couple of
- 48:24Speaker 1: posts about this and how, like, at the end of
- 48:27Speaker 1: the day, even when people complain about younger ages, we've
- 48:31Speaker 1: always been within like a year and a half of
- 48:34Speaker 1: the same like median or average age. So so check
- 48:37Speaker 1: it out of the show. It's just young people finding yeah,
- 48:43Speaker 1: older people can't, but I think it's because the fandom
- 48:46Speaker 1: is getting older. I think it's more of a millennial show.
- 48:48Speaker 1: But again, bachelor data. Let us know how you feel.
- 48:52Speaker 1: How what how the actual stats play out? All right,
- 48:55Speaker 1: I need to wrap this, but I also cannot leave
- 48:58Speaker 1: you without talking about your fationship. So I'm gonna take
- 49:00Speaker 1: a quick break and then get back to your love.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Give us the fairy tale ending that we didn't. Well,
- 49:06Speaker 1: we got half of yesterday. So one second and we're
- 49:19Speaker 1: back with Anna Redmond and Chris Bukowski. Y'All, how did
- 49:23Speaker 1: you meet? How did you fall in love and move
- 49:25Speaker 1: in together? Are we living together? Oh, I thought you
- 49:29Speaker 1: were living together. Um, uh, Joe and Serna kind of
- 49:35Speaker 1: set us up. We were both single and sad around
- 49:38Speaker 1: the holiday and in Chicago. You're both from Chicago. Well,
- 49:42Speaker 1: Chris Liss and Chris has lived everywhere. He was living
- 49:45Speaker 1: in Colorado, but his family's here, so he was back.
- 49:48Speaker 1: I think it was around Thanksgiving time. Um, we went
- 49:51Speaker 1: on a date, it went well, we like each other
- 49:55Speaker 1: and then here here's what happened. We'll make it. We'll
- 50:00Speaker 1: make this quick and sweet, alright, but also, but also
- 50:02Speaker 1: make it romantic. Okay, we have another BAS donation couple here.
- 50:05Speaker 1: It's something too, as Ben would say, celebrate. You know what,
- 50:08Speaker 1: it's not that romantic to start because we got really
- 50:11Speaker 1: sick together and all. Yeah, we both had our second date.
- 50:15Speaker 1: We had the stomach blue. It was awful, but you
- 50:19Speaker 1: suffered through it together. Room veil. That doesn't sound weird
- 50:24Speaker 1: that was their second day, but it's a lot. It
- 50:26Speaker 1: was a long distance relationships and each other was like
- 50:29Speaker 1: kind of to go on a trip and Um, we
- 50:33Speaker 1: both got to veil and we got so sick. Like
- 50:36Speaker 1: thank God the bathroom was kind of like, in a way,
- 50:39Speaker 1: separate area, like we had this cool, sweet otherwise I
- 50:42Speaker 1: think I would have tapped out, like it was so bad.
- 50:45Speaker 1: But it was kind of funny because at the end
- 50:47Speaker 1: of it we're like, okay, if we just went through
- 50:49Speaker 1: that and we still have feelings for each other, yes,
- 50:53Speaker 1: it's like it's good. And then, yeah, he just kept
- 50:56Speaker 1: flying up to see we flew back and forth, and
- 50:58Speaker 1: then now we're in the same city living together, so
- 51:03Speaker 1: it's great. Yeah, but mad, mad thanks to Joe, because
- 51:06Speaker 1: we were sitting at a bar and he's like you
- 51:08Speaker 1: should text or d m Anna, and I'm like, I
- 51:11Speaker 1: have no idea who you're talking about. I really didn't
- 51:13Speaker 1: watch the show. And I'm like, Oh, she's, you know,
- 51:15Speaker 1: pretty my my type, and Um, whatever that is. But yeah,
- 51:18Speaker 1: but in my type now. Um, and he's like messenge
- 51:22Speaker 1: her right now. So I D M Her on instagram
- 51:25Speaker 1: and he's like, you have to go out her tonight,
- 51:27Speaker 1: but she was in Minnesota. So we set up a
- 51:29Speaker 1: date for the following week and uh yeah, Um, went
- 51:32Speaker 1: on a date and then kind of reconnected like three,
- 51:35Speaker 1: four weeks later in veil and got really stick together
- 51:38Speaker 1: and then that's it. Yeah, but yeah, it was just
- 51:42Speaker 1: crazy and when I sat down I was like, Dang,
- 51:45Speaker 1: he's cute. Yeah, did you okay? Well, you guys live together,
- 51:51Speaker 1: so I'm allowed to ask you this, like tell us
- 51:53Speaker 1: the moment that you said I love you. M M
- 51:57Speaker 1: it was pretty far. It wasn't. It was like three
- 52:01Speaker 1: months for me. It was like around Valentine's Day, which
- 52:06Speaker 1: was so February, December, January. Yeah, he definitely was more
- 52:10Speaker 1: vocal at first and I was like kind of scared, Um,
- 52:14Speaker 1: but then it was just like I don't know, love
- 52:16Speaker 1: his love and it like hits you and you're like,
- 52:18Speaker 1: holy crap, this is great but also terrifying. So, yeah,
- 52:24Speaker 1: this is anker. I love it. Did you so like
- 52:30Speaker 1: you move? You're moving in. You've been to get been
- 52:33Speaker 1: the same place for now for how long? Um, well,
- 52:36Speaker 1: we've basically lived together since. We haven't like spent time
- 52:40Speaker 1: of art since day because we'd be going back and forth,
- 52:43Speaker 1: like I'd spent a week in Colorado and then he'd
- 52:45Speaker 1: come and spend like a month in Chicago, crash by
- 52:48Speaker 1: place my roommate. It was. It was quite the situation.
- 52:51Speaker 1: And then he was back here in Chicago. We got it.
- 52:55Speaker 1: He has a condoct here, so he was living there
- 52:57Speaker 1: for a while and then I was were never apart
- 53:01Speaker 1: and that keep his friend wanted to move into his
- 53:04Speaker 1: place and we were like should we do it? So yes,
- 53:07Speaker 1: she was saying like Oh, let's do it next March.
- 53:09Speaker 1: I'm like, I would have moved in with you like
- 53:11Speaker 1: six months ago. I was like okay, let's do it.
- 53:15Speaker 1: How cute. Okay. Well, my next question was gonna be
- 53:19Speaker 1: like have is there any like living situation like annoyances
- 53:23Speaker 1: so far, but I guess, like not really, or come on,
- 53:26Speaker 1: or he knows that drives me up. Do you put
- 53:31Speaker 1: your hangers back after you take it and you put
- 53:33Speaker 1: the hangars where the empty hangars are so they all
- 53:36Speaker 1: don't get lost? I'm actually on this. Sometimes I'll keep
- 53:41Speaker 1: it on the chair and so that like I have
- 53:43Speaker 1: the hangar there when I go and hang up my
- 53:45Speaker 1: close at the end of the day. Or then sometimes
- 53:47Speaker 1: I do put it back with like hanging up so
- 53:49Speaker 1: that I can like see where the spot was exactly. Actually,
- 53:52Speaker 1: that's what I do. I put the hangar where I
- 53:54Speaker 1: took the shirt off. Okay, out, like it's not in
- 53:59Speaker 1: law that I am team, it's on this because I
- 54:02Speaker 1: like to say, like the whole point is so that
- 54:04Speaker 1: I know where the hangar is when I hanging up
- 54:06Speaker 1: at the end of it for him. All right, well,
- 54:10Speaker 1: well then, Chris. What does Anna do that's annoying to you? Um, well,
- 54:16Speaker 1: our sleep schedules and our diets are completely different. But okay,
- 54:20Speaker 1: she was. She slips her food, like her sup cereal.
- 54:24Speaker 1: That's a bad one, pretty long, but it's cute, at
- 54:29Speaker 1: least when she does it. Like I can't even eat
- 54:31Speaker 1: dinner with my dad because he slips his soups or
- 54:33Speaker 1: like his food so loud. So if it's hot, how
- 54:38Speaker 1: that's so funny. OCES with each other. Not Bad, not,
- 54:44Speaker 1: not bad. I told jared the other day he was
- 54:46Speaker 1: like the way he eats ice cream is like so funny.
- 54:48Speaker 1: It's not disgusting or anything. It's almost like he's like
- 54:51Speaker 1: he almost treats it like it's like gold going into
- 54:54Speaker 1: his mouth. And I'm like the other day I've always
- 54:58Speaker 1: said to him like the past Cole month and like
- 54:59Speaker 1: the way you eat ice cream is so funny. It's
- 55:01Speaker 1: like it's the way it's like. I can't you just
- 55:04Speaker 1: eat it like it's like a treasure. And then the
- 55:06Speaker 1: other day I was just like in a mood and
- 55:07Speaker 1: I was like I hate the way you eat ice cream.
- 55:11Speaker 1: You should see her eat like we have these freeze POPs.
- 55:15Speaker 1: It's the most obnoxious thing. Oh, he does the freeze
- 55:18Speaker 1: POPs too, like the old nineties things that are long
- 55:20Speaker 1: and he pushes them through. He does. He eats those
- 55:23Speaker 1: like multiple times and I'm like I get that. You're
- 55:25Speaker 1: enjoying it. Can you enjoyed a little bit quieter? Okay,
- 55:33Speaker 1: that might be an issue that grows. We'll see. Um
- 55:36Speaker 1: But guys, I do think that you are a very
- 55:38Speaker 1: cute couple and I have really enjoyed and appreciate you
- 55:41Speaker 1: being here with me today. I think that we're on
- 55:43Speaker 1: the same page about a lot of things. We had
- 55:45Speaker 1: a really good, they're all understanding conversation of what went
- 55:50Speaker 1: on and, Um, I'm just glad that I got to
- 55:52Speaker 1: do it with you. Thanks for having US actually, and
- 55:58Speaker 1: I will. I will all right, thanks, I'm excited. I'll
- 56:02Speaker 1: go slurt my Gelado. Okay, see you, guys. All right.
