- 1:13Speaker 1: to book a one-to-one session And remember that this information
- 1:17Speaker 1: does not replace the advice for your doctor or nutritionist,
- 1:21Speaker 1: but I believe serves to complement it. So get ready
- 1:26Speaker 1: now to drift into a beautiful, peaceful slumber whilst benefiting
- 1:33Speaker 1: your health and well-being immeasurably. And if you're new to

- 2:06Speaker 1: I am delighted to welcome you to the latest chapter
- 2:12Speaker 1: of your self-development journey. And this will allow you to
- 2:19Speaker 1: drift into a beautiful night's sleep. Whilst also focusing on
- 2:27Speaker 1: all the benefits that you will gain as you lose
- 2:30Speaker 1: weight and improve your overall health. And this narrative will
- 2:41Speaker 1: be the perfect tonic after a busy day. when you
- 2:47Speaker 1: want to ease yourself into a lovely night's rest. You
- 2:58Speaker 1: can accompany me on this journey deep into your imagination
- 3:05Speaker 1: and deep into relaxation as I implant beneficial suggestions into
- 3:17Speaker 1: the subconscious mind. And if you take in every word
- 3:25Speaker 1: I say, that's fine. Or just a little, that's also fine.
- 3:34Speaker 1: And drifting in and out of concentration is completely normal.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Because the subconscious mind is always open. always listening. So
- 3:53Speaker 1: you may like to begin by taking some nice deep
- 3:57Speaker 1: breaths in through the nose and out through the mouth.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Just allow your body to settle That's right. There's nowhere
- 4:20Speaker 1: to go and nothing to do. This is your time.
- 4:32Speaker 1: A gentle process of self-development whilst relaxing. And this is
- 4:47Speaker 1: your time to focus on what's important to you. A
- 4:56Speaker 1: time you've set aside to relax and unwind. And it
- 5:12Speaker 1: can be difficult sometimes when trying to juggle all the
- 5:18Speaker 1: aspects of our lives. To focus on optimising your eating patterns,
- 5:30Speaker 1: taking regular exercise and all the effort in planning that
- 5:35Speaker 1: is required. It's not easy to balance this with all
- 5:41Speaker 1: the other roles we have in life. roles such as
- 5:50Speaker 1: being a mother or a father, a grandmother, a diligent worker.
- 5:59Speaker 1: It can be hard to prioritize healthy snacking, balanced meals
- 6:06Speaker 1: and regular exercise. And this narrative is designed to help
- 6:17Speaker 1: you to focus and refocus on this aspect of your lifestyle.
- 6:32Speaker 1: And many of my clients tell me the time before
- 6:36Speaker 1: bed is the perfect moment to reassess the events of
- 6:42Speaker 1: the day and to prepare for a really good day tomorrow.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And when you awaken in the morning, feeling refreshed and relaxed,
- 7:08Speaker 1: such a delightful thought. That happy anticipation of an enjoyable
- 7:15Speaker 1: day tomorrow. A new day. A fresh opportunity. but now
- 7:25Speaker 1: this is your time, the day is done and you
- 7:31Speaker 1: can begin the gentle process of unwinding letting go for
- 7:49Speaker 1: the more you let go and relax into the experience
- 7:56Speaker 1: more you'll enjoy it. Feeling the tension drifting from your
- 8:04Speaker 1: body as you sink down into the surface below you.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Just letting go in your soft comfortable bed and allowing
- 8:20Speaker 1: soothing sensations to come to you. and you may notice
- 8:33Speaker 1: that your breathing has begun to slow down now, just observing,
- 8:43Speaker 1: just noticing, bringing you gently into the present moment, right here,
- 8:55Speaker 1: right now. noticing sounds in the near or far distance
- 9:12Speaker 1: of someone walking by or an aeroplane flying past searching
- 9:25Speaker 1: for sounds And it's so wonderful to know that this
- 9:33Speaker 1: simple act of tuning in with different stimuli allows you
- 9:39Speaker 1: to connect with the present moment and moves you away
- 9:45Speaker 1: from the noise of an overactive mind. And as I
- 9:54Speaker 1: count you down from 10 to 1, you will feel
- 9:59Speaker 1: more and more peaceful. 10. Allowing my words to wash
- 10:11Speaker 1: over you. 9. Down and down, deeper down. 8. Drifting
- 10:23Speaker 1: and dreaming, 7, peaceful and relaxed, 6, moving on down, 5,
- 10:39Speaker 1: listening to the space between my words, 4, 3, almost
- 10:49Speaker 1: at the bottom now, two and one all the way
- 10:58Speaker 1: down to that deeper healthier level of the mind and
- 11:10Speaker 1: it is my honor to be your guide on this
- 11:14Speaker 1: journey deep within A journey to increased sense of clarity
- 11:21Speaker 1: around food and exercise. I will help you develop a normal,
- 11:31Speaker 1: healthy relationship with food and exercise. Because food is just food. Yes,
- 11:42Speaker 1: it is enjoyable. But it's just fuel for your body.
- 11:48Speaker 1: And we will be learning together how to develop a
- 11:52Speaker 1: positive and healthy relationship with food. And you will also
- 12:05Speaker 1: declutter any associations with dieting or yo-yoing in your weight
- 12:13Speaker 1: and shape. because my approach is about moderation, having a
- 12:30Speaker 1: little of what you fancy but generally focusing on three
- 12:35Speaker 1: healthy meals a day and healthy snacks if you are hungry.
- 12:45Speaker 1: And the wonderful news is that we all have the
- 12:48Speaker 1: right to move on and create positive long-term approaches. And
- 12:59Speaker 1: by listening to this recording on a regular basis, you
- 13:04Speaker 1: will adopt an approach that has worked for me and
- 13:08Speaker 1: so many of my clients in the past. it's not
- 13:15Speaker 1: a quick fix because really there are no quick fixes
- 13:20Speaker 1: in life. the best approach is to make incremental changes,
- 13:26Speaker 1: sustainable changes to our lifestyle that over time create huge
- 13:33Speaker 1: advances in our quality of life. and we work together
- 13:41Speaker 1: as a team And I will tap into the resources
- 13:46Speaker 1: that I know you possess because you have an opportunity
- 13:50Speaker 1: now to live your best life. And since you're feeling
- 13:59Speaker 1: more positive and more relaxed, you might like to imagine
- 14:04Speaker 1: yourself looking down over a stunning sandy cove. Just imagine
- 14:14Speaker 1: that now. The beach skirts around the bay and you
- 14:20Speaker 1: can smell the unmistakable scent of the sea cleansing and
- 14:27Speaker 1: refreshing you. You can feel the cool wind gently caressing
- 14:37Speaker 1: your skin and hair as you stand on the grassy
- 14:42Speaker 1: hill Soft under the foot, bouncy, springy. So lovely to
- 14:52Speaker 1: be here right now. And you have a beautiful view
- 15:00Speaker 1: across the bay to the chalk cliffs at the far
- 15:05Speaker 1: end of the beach. You can see seagulls dipping and
- 15:10Speaker 1: diving in the blue ocean. and yachts further out carving
- 15:16Speaker 1: the water as they prepare to cross the channel, flanked
- 15:21Speaker 1: by the white tops of the waves bustling in the wind.
- 15:31Speaker 1: So lovely to take in this gorgeous view. The sky
- 15:36Speaker 1: is a beautiful shade of powder blue. and it plays
- 15:41Speaker 1: on the sunlight on these fine days. Soft white clouds
- 15:48Speaker 1: scud across, moving gently onwards. Their movement reminds us of
- 15:56Speaker 1: the passing nature of emotions. This too shall pass. And
- 16:13Speaker 1: it may be that you have experienced in the past
- 16:19Speaker 1: emotions that have sometimes led you to overeat. Such as
- 16:24Speaker 1: feeling tired, frustrated, stressed or lonely. For some people that
- 16:34Speaker 1: can be a trigger to reach for food. when really
- 16:40Speaker 1: the issue is the product of an unmet emotional need.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And in the future, you will ask yourself, am I
- 16:58Speaker 1: really hungry or is there something else I need? Perhaps
- 17:07Speaker 1: time to rest to meditate, to call a supportive friend,
- 17:18Speaker 1: or some of the other actions we might take instead
- 17:22Speaker 1: of simply opening the fridge. And the wonderful news is,
- 17:33Speaker 1: developing an awareness of these things creates space between the stimulus,
- 17:42Speaker 1: such as a stressful event, and a response, such as
- 17:47Speaker 1: the behaviour. Eating something when we're not hungry. And the
- 17:57Speaker 1: famous psychologist and psychiatrist, Viktor Frankl, reminds us that in
- 18:06Speaker 1: that space lies our power. our power to choose a
- 18:12Speaker 1: different path, a different response. And this in turn allows
- 18:28Speaker 1: us to move away from any dysfunctional behaviours of the
- 18:33Speaker 1: past to more appropriate or helpful ways of dealing with
- 18:40Speaker 1: our life it is true to say that the emotions
- 18:48Speaker 1: we experience in our life can feel very strong, they
- 18:54Speaker 1: can draw us in in that moment as life can
- 18:58Speaker 1: throw us curveballs, difficult situations that we don't expect and
- 19:06Speaker 1: it could be hard to stay objective, to stand outside
- 19:11Speaker 1: the experience But as you look over this beautiful ocean setting,
- 19:19Speaker 1: you feel a renewed sense of courage and strength to
- 19:26Speaker 1: make these positive changes for you. And it can be
- 19:36Speaker 1: comforting to know it's impossible to stay in one emotion
- 19:43Speaker 1: state for an infinite period. And like the clouds, these
- 19:52Speaker 1: two shall come to pass. In this beautiful natural bay,
- 20:01Speaker 1: the clouds gently move on and on and the sun
- 20:08Speaker 1: will shine and time will pass, flowing on as you
- 20:21Speaker 1: become stronger in identifying the space between the thought and
- 20:29Speaker 1: the behaviour. or between stimulus and response. You have the
- 20:50Speaker 1: power to choose a different way, a better way for you.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And as you relax here on the hillside, you take
- 21:05Speaker 1: into yourself a deep feeling of calm and tranquility. decide
- 21:17Speaker 1: to sit a while and survey this beautiful natural bay
- 21:23Speaker 1: and as you lie back in the soft grass the
- 21:27Speaker 1: birds fly overhead and the wind whistles and the waves
- 21:34Speaker 1: flow gently in and out of the shoreline you have
- 21:41Speaker 1: some soft cushions of like should you need them to
- 21:46Speaker 1: help you feel comfortable and at ease, comfortable and at ease,
- 21:59Speaker 1: feel any tensions, stresses or strains flowing from your body now,
- 22:09Speaker 1: that's good, the truth is, you have wanted these changes
- 22:19Speaker 1: for some time now and I know that you are
- 22:24Speaker 1: ready and feeling inspired and motivated as you move into
- 22:31Speaker 1: this next positive phase of your life. as you know
- 22:42Speaker 1: that there is so much out there to enjoy. And
- 22:48Speaker 1: I'd like you to take a moment to congratulate yourself
- 22:54Speaker 1: for taking this first step in making a hugely powerful
- 22:58Speaker 1: change And sometimes we may need to stop and reflect
- 23:10Speaker 1: upon everything we've already accomplished in our life to appreciate
- 23:15Speaker 1: how far we've come. And as you sit over the bay,
- 23:23Speaker 1: I'd like you to think about all the things in
- 23:25Speaker 1: your life you've already accomplished. You know that you've accomplished
- 23:44Speaker 1: these goals because you are committed to your own success.
- 23:49Speaker 1: When you make a commitment you always come through and
- 23:54Speaker 1: you didn't accomplish these things in life by being unmotivated.
- 24:00Speaker 1: All of these things required a great deal of motivation,
- 24:04Speaker 1: so you already know you can accomplish amazing things. And
- 24:11Speaker 1: now is a wonderful time to apply that determination and
- 24:17Speaker 1: confidence to your weight loss journey. As you realize you
- 24:25Speaker 1: have a wonderful opportunity To set yourself up for a healthy,
- 24:31Speaker 1: confident and fulfilling future. Because you are a person with
- 24:37Speaker 1: so much to offer the world. And now you have
- 24:41Speaker 1: the opportunity to really shine. And as you hear my words,
- 24:50Speaker 1: you're feeling a sense of freedom and joy as you
- 24:55Speaker 1: are becoming more and more motivated each and every day
- 24:59Speaker 1: in support of your weight loss course. And as the
- 25:09Speaker 1: days and the nights are going by, you're focusing on
- 25:13Speaker 1: the process, changing behaviours, starting to see how all of
- 25:20Speaker 1: these elements are allowing you to live the life you
- 25:24Speaker 1: really want to lead. And now, since you're feeling nicely relaxed,
- 25:35Speaker 1: it might be a perfect moment to take a stroll
- 25:39Speaker 1: down to the beach, down past the lovely old wooden pier.
- 25:51Speaker 1: And as you walk, you can see a few people
- 25:54Speaker 1: fishing from the pier, casting rods out into the bay.
- 26:01Speaker 1: It's so quiet here today. You are alone, yet feeling
- 26:08Speaker 1: so calm and safe, just drifting with my words. The
- 26:15Speaker 1: sunshine warms you perfectly as you follow a gentle path
- 26:20Speaker 1: down towards the beach, ambling in such a carefree way.
- 26:28Speaker 1: You take a short detour past the town. It's so
- 26:38Speaker 1: lovely to explore somewhere new. see people sitting around on
- 26:44Speaker 1: the pavement cafes drinking coffee and some of them smile
- 26:49Speaker 1: at you as you walk past as they notice your
- 26:53Speaker 1: inner confidence shining through your sense of ease in yourself
- 27:01Speaker 1: you are feeling really good about you and this positivity
- 27:06Speaker 1: radiates and shows in the way that you move You're
- 27:14Speaker 1: really enjoying being here right now, feeling energized, happy and
- 27:21Speaker 1: at peace with yourself. You feel a sense of space
- 27:25Speaker 1: within your body, a lightness in your step and a
- 27:30Speaker 1: calmness of mind. There's a little softening in the limbs
- 27:40Speaker 1: and a gentle grace about your movement. There are quaint
- 27:47Speaker 1: little shops, bakeries and pubs, everything here for a lovely
- 27:53Speaker 1: little getaway. And it's so nice to look around a
- 27:58Speaker 1: place that time forgot, like drifting back 30 years. You
- 28:10Speaker 1: are walk past the town and down towards the soft
- 28:15Speaker 1: sandy beach. The familiar distinctive stripes of the windbreaks. You're
- 28:23Speaker 1: feeling inspired and motivated as you realise that there's so
- 28:28Speaker 1: much out there to enjoy. And as you begin to
- 28:33Speaker 1: walk along the beach, you realise you have a wonderful
- 28:39Speaker 1: opportunity to really set yourself up for a healthy and
- 28:45Speaker 1: balanced relationship with food. to feel confident in your body,
- 28:52Speaker 1: to feel healthy and vibrant with energy, to create balance
- 28:58Speaker 1: in your eating habits and to feel a deep sense
- 29:02Speaker 1: of satisfaction when you take control of your eating habits.
- 29:10Speaker 1: And as you look out across the water, you feel
- 29:14Speaker 1: excited to begin this journey. You know that it will
- 29:18Speaker 1: take dedication planning, patience, but that this is the gift
- 29:25Speaker 1: of health and you are ready to feel amazing. And
- 29:34Speaker 1: right now, I'd like you to think forward in your
- 29:37Speaker 1: mind to an event that you looking forward to. Perhaps
- 29:47Speaker 1: a holiday, a party, or a special social gathering. See
- 30:02Speaker 1: yourself there in that special outfit that you want to
- 30:09Speaker 1: feel great in. You look happy and relaxed and you
- 30:22Speaker 1: feel comfortable in your own skin, feeling really good about you,
- 30:27Speaker 1: at the size you wish to achieve. And you know
- 30:35Speaker 1: that you will do what it takes, as long as
- 30:38Speaker 1: it's healthy, to achieve your desired size. To lose a
- 30:44Speaker 1: few pounds, or perhaps more, depending on where you're at.
- 30:54Speaker 1: Because these principles can be applied to either a shorter
- 30:58Speaker 1: or longer term weight loss plan, as a design for life.
- 31:04Speaker 1: And when you've reached your desired size, it's simply a
- 31:08Speaker 1: case of coming back to the diary and to the
- 31:11Speaker 1: recording when you feel the need to be reminded of
- 31:16Speaker 1: the process that will become second nature over time. This
- 31:22Speaker 1: is not a quick fix, but a plan for life.
- 31:35Speaker 1: will find it rewarding to keep a food diary noting
- 31:40Speaker 1: what you eat and drink during the day including approximate
- 31:47Speaker 1: portion sizes and you will record any appropriate emotions before
- 31:59Speaker 1: or after eating. Over time These will show patterns such
- 32:08Speaker 1: as stress leading to overeating at a particular point in
- 32:12Speaker 1: your day. Knowledge is power and you will see patterns emerging.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Make sure you record the exercise you do in your diary.
- 32:31Speaker 1: Drink plenty of water. as this will help to flush
- 32:36Speaker 1: out the toxins in your body, feel that purifying water
- 32:43Speaker 1: cleansing you, hydrating you so beautifully. Decide on your gold
- 32:55Speaker 1: dress size, find a picture of yourself or a celebrity
- 33:02Speaker 1: at this desired you to use as a visualization tool
- 33:09Speaker 1: and keep this in mind as you listen to this recording.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Drifting with my words and the positive sensations they are
- 33:22Speaker 1: bringing to you, you know you can do this just
- 33:27Speaker 1: for you. You will really enjoy listening to this meditation
- 33:34Speaker 1: that will create new and permanent patterns in your subconscious
- 33:40Speaker 1: that will change your behavior. You can do this until
- 33:44Speaker 1: you get to your desired size and then two or
- 33:48Speaker 1: three times to maintain your goal shape. The meditation recording
- 33:57Speaker 1: is your time to relax and let and let my
- 34:03Speaker 1: words drift over you. You will enjoy eating healthily and
- 34:12Speaker 1: in moderation, putting small to moderate, sensible portions onto your plate,
- 34:21Speaker 1: eating three meals a day, including plenty of fruit and vegetables,
- 34:28Speaker 1: whole grain carbohydrates and limiting sugary food and fats. If
- 34:37Speaker 1: you choose to eat out, make sure you have healthy
- 34:42Speaker 1: choices unless it's a treat meal. When it comes to alcohol,
- 34:50Speaker 1: keep it to the 14 units per week as the
- 34:56Speaker 1: government recommends. drink slowly because with this program you are
- 35:07Speaker 1: not denying yourself anything you really enjoy having a treat
- 35:15Speaker 1: in a moderate and normal way and the wonderful news
- 35:20Speaker 1: is you're really not going to overthink the whole experience
- 35:25Speaker 1: food is just food It's just enjoyable fuel for your body.
- 35:32Speaker 1: And if you fancy something that would ordinarily not be
- 35:37Speaker 1: allowed on a diet, you may have it in a
- 35:41Speaker 1: moderate amount once a week or as part of a
- 35:45Speaker 1: treat meal. Make sure you don't miss this step and
- 35:51Speaker 1: enjoy and savour the experience. Wouldn't life be boring we
- 35:57Speaker 1: really wanted something and couldn't have it. it makes us
- 36:04Speaker 1: want it all the more and with this program you
- 36:09Speaker 1: are not denying yourself anything. you are giving yourself the
- 36:17Speaker 1: beautiful gift of health and well-being. mindful eating is an
- 36:25Speaker 1: amazing aspect of that, and so you'll discipline yourself so
- 36:34Speaker 1: that you eat slowly, mindfully, chewing each bite thoroughly, paying
- 36:46Speaker 1: attention to how the food makes you feel physically and emotionally,
- 36:56Speaker 1: carve out quiet time for eating without distractions such as
- 37:02Speaker 1: a TV or phone. Sit down and give your full
- 37:07Speaker 1: attention to the food and your company, taking the colours,
- 37:14Speaker 1: the aromas and the textures before and during your eating.
- 37:27Speaker 1: You will eat slowly and mindfully and this helps the
- 37:33Speaker 1: body register that you are full more easily so that
- 37:40Speaker 1: you are less likely to overeat. Only snack if you
- 37:49Speaker 1: are genuinely hungry. change your mindset from I'd like a
- 37:55Speaker 1: snack to I don't need one so I will wait.
- 38:01Speaker 1: There may be an impulse to snack but you will
- 38:08Speaker 1: find that the connection between impulse and action is not
- 38:14Speaker 1: made because you are creating space. And if you choose
- 38:20Speaker 1: to have a snack because you are genuinely hungry, that's fine,
- 38:26Speaker 1: just make sure it's something healthy. You will make time
- 38:31Speaker 1: to buy and prepare healthy snacks, such as pieces of
- 38:35Speaker 1: fruit or some raw vegetables, such as carrot sticks or cucumber.
- 38:48Speaker 1: All of these aspects will become part of your daily routine.
- 38:53Speaker 1: As you really enjoy taking control of your eating habits,
- 38:59Speaker 1: you will find that you will enjoy food without any
- 39:03Speaker 1: sense of guilt. You will look forward to having balanced,
- 39:08Speaker 1: moderate meals without feeling bloated or guilty in any way.
- 39:16Speaker 1: You will also embrace regular exercise and make it part
- 39:21Speaker 1: of your daily life. It's not necessary to exercise every
- 39:29Speaker 1: single day. three times a week is perfectly adequate. It
- 39:35Speaker 1: can be brisk walking, yoga, swimming, whatever you enjoy. Note
- 39:43Speaker 1: down what you've done in your food diet Exercise produces
- 39:49Speaker 1: endorphins that make you feel happy, so you associate exercising
- 39:54Speaker 1: with feeling happy rather than ever seeing it as a chore.
- 40:00Speaker 1: On the contrary, it's part of your self-care routine and
- 40:05Speaker 1: you may like to mix it up, alternating walking perhaps
- 40:10Speaker 1: with running or swimming and some yoga too. high intensity
- 40:16Speaker 1: exercise with lower intensity, more mindful activities help promote balance
- 40:24Speaker 1: in your life. It doesn't have to be going to
