- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. One of the most absurd alibis in history
- 0:07was given to us by Prince Andrew when he told
- 0:10us he was at the pizza joint up and Woking.
- 0:13But according to Woking, who did more of an investigation
- 0:16than Scotland Yard, that doesn't seem to be the truth.
- 0:21There is no record of Prince Andrew ever being in
- 0:23Woking for a pizza knight with his daughter, and there's
- 0:28no evidence of that as far as anybody coming forward,
- 0:32witnesses or otherwise saying they saw the Prince there, and
- 0:35I would think that would be pretty significant. No, you're
- 0:38out getting a slice up and Woking and the Prince
- 0:40of England's there. I would guess that's something you would remember.
- 0:46But I think the real story here is that the
- 0:48pizza place did more of an investigation than the fucking police.
- 0:53Now if that doesn't enrage you, I don't know what will.
- 0:57Today's article was published by BBC and headline Pizza Express
- 1:01held inquiry into Andrew's Woking claim. This article was authored
- 1:05by Victoria Derbyshire and you in Somerville. Pizza Express held
- 1:10an internal inquiry into whether Andrew Mountbattan Windsor had visited
- 1:14its restaurant in Woking. BBC Newsnight has learned the former
- 1:19prince claimed in his infamous twenty nineteen Newsnight interview that
- 1:23he had been at the branch in Surrey on the
- 1:25day he was alleged to have slept with Virginia Roberts,
- 1:29one of late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's survivors. And look,
- 1:33her story is always held up. And I had the
- 1:37fortunate luck to know Virginia in real life, and I
- 1:40had the fortunate luck to speak to her about this
- 1:42very topic. And she has been very consistent the whole
- 1:47entire time with what she said about Andrew and how
- 1:50everything went down. And from Andrew, all we get is
- 1:55a bunch of lives and inconsistencies. So why would anyone
- 1:58believe him, That's the question. BBC Newsnight has now discovered
- 2:05the pizza chain investigated the claim and found no evidence
- 2:09that he had or had not been there. Our research
- 2:12also found no record of anyone seeing him there on
- 2:15the night in two thousand and one. That's because he
- 2:18wasn't there. I know, breaking news, Call me fucking Walter cronkite.
- 2:24This guy was never in the pizza joint. He was
- 2:27at that pizza joint as many times as I've been.
- 2:31And the fact that anyone would believe anything coming out
- 2:34of his mouth when just about everything he says is
- 2:36verifiably bullshit, is crazy to me. If anybody is guilty
- 2:42of being an idiot, if anybody's guilty of lying in public,
- 2:46it's certainly Prince Andrew moult Bounton Windsor did not respond
- 2:52to her request for comment, but he has strenuously denied
- 2:55any wrongdoing. Newsnight has revisited the twenty nineteen interview in
- 3:00light of the Epstein files and Mount Baton Winsor's arrest
- 3:03in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office by
- 3:07Thames Valley Police. He was subsequently released under investigation, so
- 3:12of course that means he's still being investigated. But the
- 3:15issue here is he was never investigated initially. That's the
- 3:19big problem, and the fact that Scotland Yard and the
- 3:22English government protected him for all these years that's coming
- 3:26out now and it's a gigantic problem for the English
- 3:29establishment and it should be because anybody that's protecting Andrew
- 3:35with all these allegations out there, with all this evidence
- 3:38that's available, can certainly be considered as somebody that's enabling
- 3:41Jeffrey Epstein at least adjacently. Roberts alleged that she was
- 3:48forced to have sex with Mount Batton Winsor three times,
- 3:51including when she was aged seventeen. One of these alleged
- 3:55to have taken place on March tenth, two thousand and one,
- 3:58when Robert said she dined with them, dance with them
- 4:00at a nightclub, and gone on to have sex with
- 4:03them at the house of Glayne Maxwell, a friend of
- 4:06then Prince in Belgravia, Central London. And if you were
- 4:09calling the aftermath of that, they told us that couldn't
- 4:11happen because you know, the bathtub was too small and
- 4:15that Andrew had never been there. He doesn't know anything
- 4:17about Belgravia, never been to Glene Maxwell's house. Imagine trying
- 4:22to pitch that as your narrative, and Virginia has an
- 4:25actual picture of you with your hand around or waist
- 4:28at Glene Maxwell's house. What were you guys there for?
- 4:33And if it wasn't anything that was evil or bad,
- 4:37then why are you denying it? We have a picture.
- 4:40We have the evidence of it. Why are you lying?
- 4:43And you see, that's my big problem when you show
- 4:47yourself to be a liar time and time again, don't
- 4:50be mad when nobody believes you're ass. In his News
- 4:53Night interview, Mount Batton Windsor said he had instead taken
- 4:56his daughter Princess Beatrice to a party at Pizza Express
- 4:59in Woke at four pm or five pm in the
- 5:02afternoon on that day before spending the night at home. Yeah,
- 5:06because that's easily verifiable. Right, were you or weren't you
- 5:10at the pizza place? Well, according to the pizza place,
- 5:13he wasn't there. Now, if he was at home or not,
- 5:16who knows. I doubt it, and that's because I believe
- 5:20what Virginia told us. And look, I don't think it's
- 5:22just Virginia's word, right, she has the picture, and that
- 5:25picture is a big ass deal. People might not want
- 5:28to admit it, but that picture's a big ass deal.
- 5:31It puts Prince Andrew at the scene of the crime
- 5:34with the person who's accusing him. Then you go on
- 5:37and look at all the other lies he's told throughout
- 5:39the years. How do you come away with anything besides
- 5:42Prince Andrew being guilty, and in my opinion he most
- 5:46certainly is. The vast majority of the interview was broadcast,
- 5:52but a small amount of material was not included because
- 5:55of time constraints. This included mount Baton Windsor talking in
- 5:59more detail about Pizza Express, including a claim that his
- 6:02staff had looked at a diary to find out more information.
- 6:05Oh yeah, I'm sure you wrote in your diary that
- 6:09you were going to Pizza Express. It was so world
- 6:12bending and life changing that you went to a pizza
- 6:15place with common folk that you wrote about it in
- 6:17your diary. Who believes this, dude, And if you're somebody
- 6:22that does believe him, step forward. I'd love to hear
- 6:25from you. I'd taken Beatrice to a Pizza Express and woking,
- 6:29he said in the interview. This has all been worked
- 6:32out by my staff, who have looked at the diary
- 6:34and everything else. The Duchess was away, I think United
- 6:38States somewhere, and we had a very simple rule at
- 6:41that stage. The children had one or other of us
- 6:45for all most of well, as often as we could manage. Oh,
- 6:50father of the year, Prince Andrew, father of the year,
- 6:54because he says he takes his daughter to a pizza
- 6:56place in Woking, and he never actually even did that.
- 7:01So if one of us was out, the other one
- 7:03was in, and then occasionally they would have both of us.
- 7:06On this particular occasion, she was away and I was
- 7:09at home, So she was away for her daughter's birthday. Like,
- 7:13unless it's something that's world bending, why would you not
- 7:17be home for your daughter's birthday? I don't understand. Then again,
- 7:21I don't understand any of Prince Andrew's story. To tell
- 7:24you the truth, Mount Batton Windsor's mentioned a Pizza Express
- 7:30in the interview made headlines worldwide in twenty nineteen, with
- 7:33some newspapers labeling it an alibi. Oh hell of an alibi? Huh.
- 7:39Newsnight has now been told that in twenty nineteen, the
- 7:42senior management team a Pizza Express looked into the plausibility
- 7:45of Mount Baton Windsor's claim because they believed it was
- 7:48a matter of public interest. Bosses held an internal inquiry
- 7:52that involved looking for records from that time period, none
- 7:56of which could be found, and trying to talk to
- 7:58past members of staff and local management. The manager of
- 8:03the Woking branch in two thousand and one has since
- 8:05left the business so could not be spoken to. It's understood. Look,
- 8:10if anybody saw Prince Andrew, they would have come forward
- 8:13and said that this man was not at Woking. He
- 8:16was not at a pizza place. In my opinion, he
- 8:19was at Glayne Maxwell's house, assaulting Virginia. Following its internal inquiry,
- 8:25the chain concluded it had found no evidence to suggest
- 8:28Mount Baton Windsor had visited and was telling the truth,
- 8:32and nothing to suggest that he was not. Newsnight had
- 8:35made extensive inquiries to see if there was any record
- 8:38of customers staff members having seen him at the Pizza
- 8:41Express restaurant, but has found no evidence of him being there.
- 8:45Well that's because he wasn't there. I'm sorry, but that's
- 8:48the truth. This guy has been nothing but a liar
- 8:52from the jump, and the authorities that have been covering
- 8:55for him, they're a joke too. Metro Police, Scotland Yard,
- 9:00a whole lot of them. One of the routes we
- 9:03tried was submitting a freedom of information request to the
- 9:06Metropolitan Police asking if any Royal Protection officer accompany the
- 9:10former Prince to the Woking branch twenty five years ago.
- 9:14In response, the four said it can neither confirm nor
- 9:17deny whether it holds its information, citing national security among
- 9:21other reasons. Oh what you thought this fucking cover up
- 9:24was Germaine to America? Only wrong? This cover up is worldwide.
- 9:30And if people over in the UK think that their
- 9:33government's not in on it, I got really bad news
- 9:36for you. Confirming or denying that information is held would
- 9:41reveal whether protection had been afforded to a specific individual
- 9:45other than the King and the Prime Minister, the METS said,
- 9:48and Or replied to us. This is despite Scotland Yard
- 9:51previously referring to Mount Batton Winsor's close protection officer, including
- 9:56in a press statement issued in February. The METS response
- 10:00once is drawn criticism from Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey.
- 10:03Of course, the police are rightly, very careful about giving
- 10:07any information about who they give special protection to, he
- 10:10told the BBC. I completely understand that, and it's right.
- 10:15But too often we see these types of neither confirm
- 10:17nor deny answers where there really isn't a legitimate security reason,
- 10:21and I think that's what's happening here, and I agree
- 10:24with that there's no legitimate security reason. What a bunch
- 10:27of bs. He called for an exception to be made
- 10:32by the force to reveal the information. I really can't
- 10:35see how it's revealing that Andrew had police protection twenty
- 10:38five years ago, and how that would play into the
- 10:40hands of terrorists as a met claims. He added. Roberts
- 10:44died by suicide, allegedly in April of twenty twenty five,
- 10:48aged forty one. Mount Batton. Windsor's military titles and royal
- 10:52patronages were removed by the late Queen in twenty twenty two,
- 10:56and he was stripped of his print's title last year.
- 10:59He also left his Windsor Mansion Royal Lodge amid pressure
- 11:02from the royal family over his links to pedophile financier Epstein.
- 11:08He is consistently and strenuously denied any wrongdoing. Well, nobody
- 11:12believes them, and I think at this point it's time
- 11:15for Scotland Yard, the Metropolitan Police and everybody else involved
- 11:20to be more transparent. Will they be well, that is
- 11:25the question. All right, folks, that's gonna do it for
- 11:28this one. All the information that goes with this episode
