- 0:01Speaker 1: Jerry, Katy and Josh six one hundred.
- 0:04Speaker 2: Oh I know, Katie, you're a massive coffee drinker. Yeah.
- 0:07Speaker 1: Uh.
- 0:07Speaker 3: And it's back Duncan's viral forty eight ounce iced bucket.
- 0:14Speaker 4: Oh my goodness.
- 0:15Speaker 3: It's a beverage bucket that you can roll into Duncan
- 0:18Speaker 3: and get forty eight ounces of classic coffee iced coffee
- 0:23Speaker 3: Ice Lantes. You can even throw in some of their
- 0:26Speaker 3: refreshers into it, I guess. Anyway, it looks like a
- 0:30Speaker 3: sand pail that you would take to the beach.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Okay, when I break it down though, it's just freaking
- 0:35Speaker 1: twelve ounce cups of coffee, right.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Well, the way to go to do math well so
- 0:42Speaker 2: and my drink. That is that about right?
- 0:44Speaker 4: I don't feel like that would be too much now
- 0:47Speaker 4: that I think about it.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Well, I think it's like the whole shock value when
- 0:51Speaker 3: you see it, because it's literally a bucket with all
- 0:53Speaker 3: that once, all at once, and you're like, this is
- 0:57Speaker 3: not fitting in my cup. The old it's about thirteen bucks,
- 1:02Speaker 3: so I don't know if that's cheaper.
- 1:03Speaker 2: Than four twelve ouncers that's what it might be. Yeah,
- 1:06Speaker 2: that's got to be.
- 1:07Speaker 4: It's a good deal.
- 1:08Speaker 2: But here's the thing.
- 1:09Speaker 3: Uh, the Duncan stores are only giving getting limited supplies,
- 1:13Speaker 3: so if you want one, you got to zip out
- 1:14Speaker 3: there pretty darn quick.
- 1:16Speaker 1: And if I bring my own bucket, it's like the
- 1:18Speaker 1: seven eleven thing, like the days where you can bring
- 1:21Speaker 1: in anything.
- 1:21Speaker 2: If you're shut it up with slurpees, maybe.
- 1:23Speaker 1: Do that because if you only got so many, would
- 1:26Speaker 1: you bring in that's fine? But horb I know, right,
- 1:30Speaker 1: like one of those baby baths.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Yeah, you got to get it back out to your car.
- 1:35Speaker 2: What are you bring in? Like a boot? Bring that
- 1:37Speaker 2: old bootar? No, I'm not doing a shoe.
- 1:42Speaker 1: I'd have to probably think, all right, you puzzle it
- 1:45Speaker 1: hard hat it hard hat.
- 1:47Speaker 4: That's one we've got so far.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Anyway, thirteen bucks at Duncan. It's their beverage bucket. Go
- 1:53Speaker 2: check it out today, all right.
- 1:54Speaker 3: So Katie has been bugging me and bugging me and
- 1:56Speaker 3: bugging me for like a week to talk about h
- 1:59Speaker 3: A's so now, shine girl.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Oh, with all these drought and water restrictions, it's getting
- 2:05Speaker 1: kind of crazy, like the drama with the h OA
- 2:08Speaker 1: and people watering their lawn and getting in trouble for it.
- 2:12Speaker 4: There's so many different ways to go here.
- 2:14Speaker 1: So for one, now, I don't experience a hoa thing,
- 2:17Speaker 1: but you do, Jeremy.
- 2:18Speaker 4: You're even on the border the power tell me the
- 2:23Speaker 4: laws and what.
- 2:24Speaker 1: You no when it comes to watering, because we are
- 2:29Speaker 1: in a drought and so when people have brown grass,
- 2:32Speaker 1: isn't that just expected?
- 2:33Speaker 4: Your hoa can't find you?
- 2:35Speaker 3: Yeah, And I've been seeing all sorts of stories about
- 2:37Speaker 3: how the hoas are sending letters out to people threatening
- 2:40Speaker 3: things like that. My neighbor across the street actually was
- 2:43Speaker 3: getting a bunch of them and he got p s.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Why I would be mad. I don't even have an hoa,
- 2:48Speaker 4: and I'm mad for him.
- 2:49Speaker 3: But from what I understand, there is a Denver law
- 2:52Speaker 3: that protects homeowners in droughts when it comes to their
- 2:57Speaker 3: lawn with the HA can't ding you for dry brown
- 3:01Speaker 3: grass because you're not allowed to water, right, you can?
- 3:04Speaker 2: From what I understand is we can't ding you.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Okay, because there is some issues like if it goes
- 3:09Speaker 3: deeper though, and it like turns to like essentially just
- 3:14Speaker 3: soil and you're having like soil patches and things like
- 3:17Speaker 3: that pop up. I think there is something in there
- 3:21Speaker 3: where you can start ding in people for that but
- 3:23Speaker 3: just if you got dry brown line, well, Kim, there.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Are so many stories, like on the news sites where
- 3:30Speaker 1: they're talking to individual people where they're dealing with their
- 3:32Speaker 1: h and they're getting letters, and the news stations reach
- 3:35Speaker 1: out to the properties and nobody's getting back to them.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So it's just like it's so dramatic. And even just
- 3:40Speaker 1: with watering. I saw somebody post on Facebook that they
- 3:44Speaker 1: tried to water at like two in the morning so
- 3:46Speaker 1: that they could get away with it.
- 3:48Speaker 4: But then they're like, I got a two d and
- 3:50Speaker 4: fifty dollars bill from Aurora.
- 3:52Speaker 2: They still know being sneaky.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Yeah, So there are just so many ways that I
- 3:57Speaker 1: think people, you know, and kudos to everyone who's doing
- 4:00Speaker 1: their part and making sure.
- 4:01Speaker 3: They I've been a good boy, even like I cherish
- 4:04Speaker 3: my lawn. I try to get the best lawn in
- 4:06Speaker 3: the neighborhood every summer.
- 4:08Speaker 2: But I'm sticking to my two days a week.
- 4:09Speaker 4: Yeah this year, it's just not a thing, but I'm.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Putting down like fertilizers and stuff that help keep things
- 4:14Speaker 3: somewhat green, you know, a lot of revive and things
- 4:16Speaker 3: like that hashtag dad move. Yeah, but yeah, I'm sticking
- 4:20Speaker 3: to it. But I've seen people.
- 4:22Speaker 2: You know, popping on on the days they're not supposed to.
- 4:25Speaker 4: Know, and I think it's funny.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Is there's another story floating around where neighbors are narking
- 4:30Speaker 1: on their neighbors to get them in trouble with the.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Water justitches gets stitches grown.
- 4:35Speaker 1: So if you like, you know, keep your music late
- 4:39Speaker 1: at loud late at night, or you let your dog
- 4:41Speaker 1: go m on your neighbor's lawn, like maybe now might
- 4:45Speaker 1: be you know, yeah, try not to get away with
- 4:46Speaker 1: stuff because your neighbor can tell on you and then
- 4:48Speaker 1: you'll get fined.
- 4:49Speaker 3: And these are not you know, cheap, So that to
- 4:53Speaker 3: me is that's already a neighborhood beef going on. There's
- 4:57Speaker 3: something already there, Yeah, that a neighbor is going to
- 5:00Speaker 3: report you, because I I'm not that guy, for sure,
- 5:02Speaker 3: I'm not gonna.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Oh Nancy down the street, Yeah, she ran it for
- 5:06Speaker 2: ten minutes too long.
- 5:07Speaker 4: You see her watering.
- 5:09Speaker 2: What does she think she's doing?
- 5:10Speaker 4: It's not our day.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It's not a day.
- 5:15Speaker 3: My lawn still actually looks fairly decent, even though I'm
- 5:18Speaker 3: just doing the two days and the fertilizer, and I've
- 5:20Speaker 3: actually had a couple of neighbors like, come up to
- 5:22Speaker 3: me and they're like, are you following the rules?
- 5:24Speaker 1: Oh?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Really, be honest with you. Are you following the rules?
- 5:27Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm following the rules. I really really am.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Are you gate keeping your secrets so so that your
- 5:31Speaker 1: lawn looks better than theirs?
- 5:33Speaker 4: Because you better watch you better watch out. Your neighbors
- 5:36Speaker 4: might get mad at you and be like all the time, little.
- 5:39Speaker 2: Tin water department. I'd bear across the street.
- 5:42Speaker 4: There's a radio guy. He thinks he's real. Funny.
- 5:46Speaker 3: We got a funny guy here across the street with
- 5:48Speaker 3: his water, funny guy with his green grass. So that's
- 5:52Speaker 3: so funny when you get that big fine in the
- 5:54Speaker 3: mail hone radio.
- 5:56Speaker 2: I'm coming for you. I'm coming for you. Oh so
- 5:59Speaker 2: you're not too far off, Katie. You really need it.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I need somebody to look this up.
- 6:05Speaker 3: You can text us let me know if this is
- 6:07Speaker 3: real or not. My wife just sent it to me.
- 6:09Speaker 3: I have time to search it up. But I just
- 6:11Speaker 3: saw it and I laughed. I have a feeling this
- 6:13Speaker 3: is fake.
- 6:14Speaker 2: I was coming out of Yellowstone National Park. She sent
- 6:16Speaker 2: me a screenshot off Instagram.
- 6:18Speaker 3: Park rangers have arrested a thirty four year old man
- 6:21Speaker 3: after he allegedly dressed in a homemade bison costume and
- 6:26Speaker 3: spent nearly two hours chasing down tourists while yelling at them.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Now you know how it feels. Now you know how
- 6:33Speaker 3: it feels. Is this true?
- 6:35Speaker 1: Okay, it looks like it's fake, but now we kind
- 6:38Speaker 1: of have ideas.
- 6:40Speaker 2: That's funny. Oh god, a picture. Look at the picture
- 6:44Speaker 2: of the er.
- 6:45Speaker 4: See here. Can we get arrested for something like that?
- 6:48Speaker 2: I think that's probably frowned on to dresses a bison.
- 6:53Speaker 4: Great radio station thing to do.
- 6:55Speaker 2: I saw this and.
- 6:56Speaker 1: I was like, no, uh no, And it's funny because
- 7:01Speaker 1: even this article that breaks it down is like, at
- 7:03Speaker 1: first glance, the story seems somewhat believable given the long
- 7:07Speaker 1: list of tourists antics at America's oldest national park.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Yeah, how funny, I wrote back. I go, I feel
- 7:13Speaker 3: like this would be fake. She's like, well, so and
- 7:15Speaker 3: so sent it to me. This is some things get rolling.
- 7:17Speaker 3: You know that friend is probably sending it to ten
- 7:20Speaker 3: other people, and they're sending it to ten people, and they.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Found it on the internet, so it's gotta be true.
- 7:25Speaker 2: Now I'm talking about it on the radio. Yeah, now
- 7:27Speaker 2: you know.
- 7:28Speaker 3: How it feels so funny, absolutely FANTASTICO. So shout out
- 7:33Speaker 3: to all of our stressed parents listening this morning.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I feel your dog, I feel you.
- 7:39Speaker 3: Survey found that seventy seven percent of parents say that
- 7:43Speaker 3: back to school season makes life so incredibly hectic. You
- 7:49Speaker 3: start looking at everything. The rising school supply costs are
- 7:54Speaker 3: stress and parents out Balancing kids' schedules with your schedules
- 8:02Speaker 3: causes a ton of household friction.
- 8:05Speaker 1: Uh.
- 8:05Speaker 3: Now, you definitely have to come up with a bunch
- 8:08Speaker 3: of new dinner time ideas to make sure that the
- 8:10Speaker 3: family is fed and happy in the evening and they're
- 8:13Speaker 3: ready to start a new day the next day when
- 8:15Speaker 3: school's in session. A lot of people just feel over
- 8:19Speaker 3: extended right now. But we we hear you, we see you,
- 8:23Speaker 3: we feel you.
- 8:24Speaker 4: Yeah, no, and it's getting worse and worse.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Like I remember when the baby Nana needed that list
- 8:28Speaker 1: of school supplies, and now there's digital stuff on it
- 8:31Speaker 1: that costs so much. I mean, remember when we just
- 8:33Speaker 1: had to pay for those hundred dollars calculators we had
- 8:36Speaker 1: to do to get those.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Yeah, but yeah it is.
- 8:41Speaker 1: And then you hit the nail on the head with
- 8:43Speaker 1: childcare if you're working like so much. Stop.
- 8:48Speaker 3: We were going over the schedule the other night at
- 8:50Speaker 3: the dinner table, going over new school times and stuff
- 8:54Speaker 3: for the kids.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Different.
- 8:56Speaker 3: Now we're experiencing high school where they have different, you know,
- 8:59Speaker 3: schedules on different days and trying to juggle all that.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate it. And then on top of it,
- 9:05Speaker 2: we've got a whole nother level.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Of stress going on in the house right now because
- 9:09Speaker 3: my son did get his.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Permit, so now he's driving and I'm out there.
- 9:14Speaker 3: I did about thirty forty minutes with him yesterday out
- 9:18Speaker 3: in an empty parking lot, zipping around trying to teach
- 9:21Speaker 3: him how to drive. Let's just say, we got to
- 9:23Speaker 3: work on backing up now. We got to work on backing.
- 9:28Speaker 1: Lot of that same feeling like when they start walking
- 9:30Speaker 1: and their mobile and it's nice, is a whole new world,
- 9:32Speaker 1: but I know, but like it brings back that fear
- 9:34Speaker 1: of what are they going to get into and when
- 9:36Speaker 1: they start to drive.
- 9:37Speaker 4: It's the same thing.
- 9:39Speaker 2: It's a trouble.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Yeah, thankfully you can track him now, Like that's something
- 9:42Speaker 1: absolutely favor.
- 9:43Speaker 2: You know.
- 9:44Speaker 3: It was kind of funny because we were out in
- 9:45Speaker 3: this empty parking lot, and seriously, there was like five
- 9:50Speaker 3: or six other cars zipping around in there. All of
- 9:52Speaker 3: them have the student driver sticker on the back. So
- 9:56Speaker 3: it's like the perfect time of day to go, you know,
- 9:58Speaker 3: like at noon when nobody's around and a lot of
- 10:00Speaker 3: school parking lots are empty right now.
- 10:03Speaker 2: And so we're out.
- 10:03Speaker 3: There and there's all these newbies just dodging each other
- 10:07Speaker 3: in these parking lots, and I'm like, this might not
- 10:10Speaker 3: be a good idea right now, let's practice backing. Yeah, yeah, anyway,
- 10:18Speaker 3: Shout out to all the parents out there.
- 10:20Speaker 2: We feel you. I'm in the same boat right now.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Katie's been in that boat.
- 10:25Speaker 3: We understand what you're going through, and don't worry, you'll
- 10:28Speaker 3: get through it.
