- 1:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, anyway.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 2:00[SPEAKER_02]: That's true folks.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, totally true.
- 2:03[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so definitely season three is coming.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_02]: We'll probably start shooting soon.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: Don't worry about it.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, let's talk about what we do here on the show.
- 2:13[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about the movies that are coming out this week.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_02]: We talked about movies that we reviewed last week, which for the last couple of weeks, we've we've had a two-first.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_02]: So I think we're going to I think we're going to keep going that right again.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's just because you don't want to see the movie I want to go see.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: that some of the movies you want to see I'm not interested in I know but that's not the point and I believe that there's another movie I believe for the last couple of weeks there's been another movie that's out there that while yes it may not be the mainstream popular one I believe that there are movies and and this week is a case where there's a movie that I think people are going to want to watch on Netflix okay and the comfort of their own home with their own cheesy popcorn made for sure by themselves doesn't have to be there well I mean you could
- 2:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm just saying you're not flicks in children.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to know don't answer that.
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, um, folks like a marriage we have to compromise Compromise.
- 3:05[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, what's that word?
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: Marriage is all about compromise.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_01]: What's that word?
- 3:09[SPEAKER_01]: It's a word.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: It's a it's an ancient Latin word that means do what your wife says.
- 3:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, there's no compromise in that, but anyway, so coming out this week, a couple of great movies, a couple movies that I just kind of go really, do we need two good movies, two nuts are good.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so the Devil Worse product, too, long anticipated, I think, for quite a few fans of the Devil Worse product, one.
- 3:35[SPEAKER_01]: It was no one, it was just Devil Worse product.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_02]: Well, now it's one because now there's going to be a Devil's Worse product, too.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_01]: But there's no one.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: So that was the first one.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: Stanley two chees in it when Stanley two chees in a movie I bless you you're gonna thank you.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_02]: You're gonna get some good stuff two chees stop some two Yeah, so is there gonna be like it's gonna be like it's there gonna be like does that come with two beef patties too good two chees and two beef patties and a Titchie yeah exactly
- 4:01[SPEAKER_02]: All the more reasonable, you're going to go see this movie, and I'm not.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_02]: Alex is deep water, which looks to me like what happens when you're playing drops into the ocean and then you have to survive a jaws.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 4:13[SPEAKER_02]: And I just kind of went really, really like really.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_02]: And then Hokem, which is a horror movie, which kind of looks kind of hokey.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and then last but not least animal farm, which is an animated version of the George Orwell.
- 4:26[SPEAKER_02]: I think, well, if I remember correctly, George Orwell, let's see George Orwell, I think is who wrote animal farm.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: We're checking that out on the handheld database system that we have here, then a crometer, as I've been told.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, it's an animated version of animal farm.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_02]: the novel, whether I got the author right or not, we'll find out in a second here, but yeah, it's cool.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_01]: You're welcome.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_01]: And the answer, I just, AI did basically, because not everything's AI.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_01]: And AI gave me an overview of animal farm all in Chinese.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_02]: Wow, you need to fix the language on your phone.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we need to do.
- 5:05[SPEAKER_01]: Because this is an English.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I don't know what you did there, but you explain AI to me.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_02]: You have some glitch in the matrix on your phone.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm going to say.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: You probably look at too many things you shouldn't be looking at.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, and that's probably creating some weird fuzzy stuff on your phone.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: It could be.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: You could have like AIDS for your phone.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what that would be called.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's not called AIDS or something else, but that's the first word that came into my head.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, don't judge me.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_02]: I know you are.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so those are the movies we're talking about this week that are coming out.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_02]: You and of our are going to go see the devil wears product too.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I will go see animal farm and enjoy it.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure speaking of enjoying it, the movies we're reviewing this week.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: I thoroughly enjoyed the one that I saw.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: Did you?
- 5:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad I'm... Will you go first?
- 5:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm glad that I watched it for multiple reasons.
- 5:59[SPEAKER_02]: First of all, I feel like Charlize Theron is underrated actress sometimes.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like she doesn't get some of the credit that she deserves sometimes, but she doesn't get paid.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_02]: Well that's true, but I mean like acting credit.
- 6:12[SPEAKER_02]: Like I think in the worlds of actors, I think people look at her and they go, yeah, she's just kind of...
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, I think she's got some skills.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Right, I do too.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: I do too.
- 6:19[SPEAKER_01]: Play monster.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and in this movie, she does that as well too.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: And she's, she's kind of a badass bitch in this movie, okay?
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, which is a good thing.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_02]: Now, the movie centers around a gal, who is played by Shirley Charlize Ferron, who basically is like a thrill seeker.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_02]: She likes to go mountain climbing.
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: She likes to hit the rapids and like all kinds of stuff like that.
- 6:40[SPEAKER_02]: So she lives, I mean, I would, I'm the edge.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_02]: on the edge but maybe a little bit of an adrenaline junkie okay she gets married to a guy who kind of does the same thing unfortunately something happens in the movie where she ends up becoming solo and on a return trip to Australia while she is dealing with the ashes of said gentlemen okay she gets cornered by a couple of nefarious individuals nefarious and she decides
- 7:09[SPEAKER_02]: is out in the middle of the woods.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_02]: Nice.
- 7:12[SPEAKER_02]: And gets hunted.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: Ooh!
- 7:14[SPEAKER_02]: By one of these individuals.
- 7:16[SPEAKER_01]: Someone gets the hunt, Charlie's their own.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_02]: So the gentleman that plays the co-actions like co-star, but yeah, I guess Ederton is his last name, I can't think of his first name with them, I think it's like Tehran, Ederton or something like that.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_00]: I could open up if you want me to.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well, you could use your handheld database there.
- 7:38[SPEAKER_02]: I believe it's Tehran or Tehran, Elgin, I don't, Ederton, that's a nose last name.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: He of course, from the Kingsman.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_02]: to I love those two movies also from rocket man fame he played out john in the biopic or biopic depending upon how you want to pronounce that but anyway plays a incredible incredibly psychotic individual in the movie a run yeah tear on the triggerton yeah so eggerton sorry so an eric bain is in it too
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, Eric Bonner.
- 8:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, Bonner.
- 8:14[SPEAKER_02]: No, not Oh Bonner.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_01]: Eric Bonner.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: He was the original Hulk, as a matter of fact.
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, he was.
- 8:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's in it for a little bit.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_02]: No, however.
- 8:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and there's not that's why I didn't really get into it about that.
- 8:27[SPEAKER_02]: But I'm going to do your fair thing.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_02]: The cinematography was excellent.
- 8:31[SPEAKER_02]: There are a lot of really interesting themes with the found and the light.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_02]: I think that really did a good job with everything there.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_02]: They they lit it up fairly well.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_01]: Nice.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_01]: Nice and I did and then you're seeing a little thing came up when I looked up the cast I noticed it's your movie to review but it says you're gonna review it anyway I'm just gonna throw a fact Charlie's their own actually did most yeah, I was gonna say they were all right I was gonna say that yeah.
- 8:57[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you were yeah, I was yeah But you took you stole my thunder as usual so there we go
- 9:03[SPEAKER_02]: She also is a caterer.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: This is like this.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_02]: I did not know that you did the caterer.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: I'm sure she didn't.
- 9:08[SPEAKER_02]: But anyway, see, this is the whole marriage thing folks.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so yeah, great movie.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_02]: I think I'd give it like a seven, is entertaining.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, a little predictable in some instances, but you know, they more than makes the story itself more than makes up for that.
- 9:25[SPEAKER_02]: And some interesting twists and some interesting
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: Turn connection points like something happens at the beginning of the movie.
- 9:32[SPEAKER_01]: It gets connected to the end of the movie and all that kind of stuff So all in all great story all the way through so the movie has a beginning in and an end and a middle Excellent, yeah, that's critical for a movie.
- 9:42[SPEAKER_02]: It is and it's released the wrong and it's critical because we're critics Critics we've said all along we're not critics.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but we've been here guys with media experience extensive media experience more than the average Joe
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: and that's why we do this show because our opinions are not the opinions.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_01]: We're not Cisco and Ebert.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's be fair.
- 10:04[SPEAKER_01]: We wouldn't be here.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: Let's be fair.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_02]: We do this show because the rise not work as this to do a show together because they do it have some good chemistry.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: They thought we'd banter well.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 10:13[SPEAKER_01]: I love Fraser.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_01]: There you go.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so seven.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so seven.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: I'm interested to hear what you had to say because I talked to a lot of my friends who are Michael Jackson fans that saw the movie over the weekend.
- 10:28[SPEAKER_02]: So I have a good understanding and now I kind of feel like I want to see the movie.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if I'll see it in the theaters.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: Did you see it in IMAX?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: Buying a chance?
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, no.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care for IMAX.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I feel like this one probably would be but I feel like this one would be I feel like concert movies in general or or musical biopics in general probably would be decent in iMacs just for the sound maybe not for the bigger screen but it sounds the same I will interrupt you just as much as you interrupted me during your review though so there we go Alright so Michael it's called Michael yeah so who plays who plays Michael?
- 11:03[SPEAKER_01]: Michael in the movie is played by his nephew, your main son, Jafar Jackson, who was also in a Latin as you might recall, Jafar.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_01]: So, he played the monkey, right?
- 11:18[SPEAKER_01]: No, okay, Jafar was Jafar.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_01]: And he did a good really good job.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_02]: Was he Jafar out?
- 11:24[SPEAKER_01]: Not that far.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_01]: He did a really really good job.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm I'm gonna talk and look something up at the same time.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, here we go Because using ease using electronics while talking.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: We got a is there police officer here I'll continue you look up this just as this question to Okay, to Google or whoever you want to ask to go out that they enter cut actual footage with with
- 11:50[SPEAKER_01]: in the movie is the actual Michael Jackson.
- 11:53[SPEAKER_01]: I'm thinking in the last, there were several scenes that I thought were actual concert footage of him.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_01]: So just a quick question.
- 12:01[SPEAKER_01]: I meant to look it up earlier.
- 12:02[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, the music was great.
- 12:04[SPEAKER_01]: That's obvious.
- 12:05[SPEAKER_01]: It's a given.
- 12:06[SPEAKER_01]: Michael Jackson's music was amazing.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, when you collaborate with people like Quincy Jones, you're not going to have bad music.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_01]: Again, you know, Jafar did a great job
- 12:21[SPEAKER_01]: a common domingo who plays Joe Jackson, also did a really good job portraying his dad.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_01]: And not in an over-the-top way, which I thought it was going to go, I thought it was really just show just enough of the bad relationship that Michael had with his dad without going over the top.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_01]: So I like that.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_01]: Now here's, here are my holes, I'm calling him holes.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_01]: The rest of the cast besides Michael and his dad were pretty irrelevant in this movie.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_01]: actually very irrelevant.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: And we just too bad because I didn't know a lot about germane and tidal and the other brothers.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_01]: And they didn't really tell you learn nothing do about the brothers at all or the mom for that matter.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, she can't very compassionate woman very supportive of her son but other than that, you didn't learn a whole lot.
- 13:20[SPEAKER_01]: I would have liked to personally have seen more of them, and I would have liked to have seen like how they reacted to Michael's first album on his own.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_01]: The fact that he ended the victory tour, the way that he did, and the kind of left them out in the cold, obviously, because you can't tour as the Jackson's without Michael Jackson.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: So that,
- 13:42[SPEAKER_01]: I thought they whoever did this missed out on having a more well-rounded look at the Jackson's.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_01]: I know the movie's called Michael, but the reality is and this is one of the things that is dad pointed out that I think was he was that on.
- 13:58[SPEAKER_01]: There's no Michael Jackson without the Jackson's.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: really isn't you have to have that happen first I don't think anybody would have seen Michael Jackson on his own and done said this guy's amazing let's go they he had to start in that family group in order to become who he became I believe you might not agree but I agree
- 14:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I don't think so.
- 14:22[SPEAKER_02]: Michael had talent all of his own.
- 14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get back to you.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_02]: I don't think about what you said about footage versus actual live creation.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: According to reports, kind of unanimously throughout this reporting station, like people, news, weektime, all that kind of stuff.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_02]: They tried to recreate things as meticulous as possible using
- 14:46[SPEAKER_02]: That's what they say.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: There are YouTube videos out there where they try to compare certain things and where they show like this and that.
- 14:53[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of those videos tend to prove that it was actually too far, but I got to believe, and again, there's nothing here that solidifies what you're saying.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_01]: But what I didn't say it was, there's questioning it.
- 15:08[SPEAKER_02]: There could be, but there's nothing here to the outright says, yes, they used original footage.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: it looks like they did so if they if they recreated that last concert in London then whoever recreated it it amazing so what they said is they did use they did use like archival footage to make sure that they did everything correctly.
- 15:29[SPEAKER_01]: So they didn't use any audience shots from the actual concert.
- 15:32[SPEAKER_01]: They got 80,000 extras to come to a stadium in London.
- 15:36[SPEAKER_02]: I see that, and that's, so I figured that might be where you were going.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the audience footage is probably real, because why would you pay for 80,000 people to be in a mall?
- 15:48[SPEAKER_01]: And then if you're going to do that, then why wouldn't you, I mean, a lot of this stuff just looked like actual,
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: Michael, you know, maybe they were shot, you know, they, when obviously the moonwalk, they, they were tied on his feet on some moves and stuff.
- 16:03[SPEAKER_01]: And I don't know.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's just two, two like him.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: But that's okay.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't care about that.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: My other question was, they featured Latoya as part of the family, but no Janet.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: Where the hell was Janet?
- 16:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so I forget maybe a week or something like that before the movie came out.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_02]: There was a press release that said, Janet will not be featured in the film.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_01]: And why?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: But why?
- 16:27[SPEAKER_02]: Why wouldn't you feature?
- 16:28[SPEAKER_02]: Probably because, unless you just didn't want to be in it, well, Janet has huge stage fright situations.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I know, it's so weird.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Because...
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: wouldn't have anything there's not relevant for a movie that someone else was playing you why but but it is because she probably wanted nothing to do with the project because of her own personal reasons as far as her relationship between her and Michael okay so let's let's agree with that that's okay where was where was
- 16:58[SPEAKER_01]: footage or where was the story line of his relationships, very public, very big relationships with Diana Ross and Liz Taylor.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: None of that was there.
- 17:12[SPEAKER_02]: From my understanding, and I haven't seen the movie, but from my understanding, this movie focuses more on the Jackson Five and his Jackson Five times, than it does, it doesn't go past victory.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's the first thing.
- 17:24[SPEAKER_02]: And victory was the last album that the Jackson's did
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: Like he was in relationship with these people before but but what relevance does that have to do with trying to because it's a it's a biopiopic about Michael it wasn't called the Jackson's what is called Mike right, but you yourself big he called you know what he called but you yourself said that he turned around and wanted to say that there's no Michael without the Jackson five so
- 17:48[SPEAKER_02]: Whoever decided to create this movie, created it from the standpoint of trying to emphasize his career with the Jackson Five as opposed to emphasizing what happened after that and then the rest of his career because they cut it off after victory, which is like 86, 87, 88 somewhere in there.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_02]: So by that time frame, thriller had like what, maybe it been out for four years at that point.
- 18:12[SPEAKER_02]: So bad just hit.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_01]: So like the bad is the last song they do in the movie.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and so that would, so that would have been the last, that would have been the couple.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_01]: But I'm just saying he called Diana Ross, his mom and sister are rolled into one.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_01]: There was, you know, they showed Barry Gordey, his relationship with Barry Gordey a little bit, very little.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_01]: But that was, that was all developed at the same time with Diana Ross.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_01]: So I just personally, I missed that.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I'm saying.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: Now,
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: people, I've seen people talk and read on Facebook stuff about that they left out, you know, they lacked, lacked anything about his trials for the issues that, you know, with kids and stuff.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_01]: And I just went into this thinking, this isn't about that.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but those trials didn't happen while he was in, while Thriller was out.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_01]: Right, I agree.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_02]: And since they stopped the movie, where they stopped the movie, I think that's the reason why they did it.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_01]: That's just a case for people who are saying, and I'm saying no, I don't think that needed to be in.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_01]: I think this was, this movie was, the goal of this movie was to highlight his music, his charitable site, and a little bit of his struggles with his dad and the music industry at the time.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: because he couldn't get out MTV for a long time because they didn't do black artists back then.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: So there was a lot of, there was that, which was cool.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they showed a little bit how the record label people like CBS records got him onto MTV finally, but it took a lot to do it.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: And it's, you know, kind of show this, show this hair on fire in the, in the victory tour thing, which was kind of cool in the, how, what he went through there.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_01]: So I, and join it.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: And from what I understand, there's a little bit of a hint as to maybe his drug situation.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well, during the, after the fire,
- 20:10[SPEAKER_01]: And then he was doing the skin thing because he had a melanolin thing melanolin issue But they did say this was just a beginning.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_01]: So it looks like there's a sequel coming
- 20:23[SPEAKER_01]: Which is maybe where they're going to cover all this stuff and I hope that that the people who put the movie together are listening to our show I'm sure they are out now lay and they will they will say hey And of our unsheasy popcorn said we should include his relationships with Diana Ross and Lestayler I think we should put to what extent would that have heightened the movie for you?
- 20:44[SPEAKER_01]: I just wanted to learn more about him.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_01]: I mean pretty much everything they showed I knew About Michael
- 20:51[SPEAKER_01]: I would have liked to learn more about Tito, and where they pissed off that he ended the victory tour.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there were his brothers, and he said, we're done doing this.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_01]: He made that decision on stage with them, and they do show the reactions of them on stage, like, what?
- 21:12[SPEAKER_01]: But I would have, I just would have liked to, there wasn't anything new about Michael Jackson here, in my opinion, that I didn't already know.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_01]: And I would have liked to know more, but have you said that?
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: You're still an answer.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_02]: And you're still an answer what you would have gained from knowing more about his relationship with Liz and from Diana.
- 21:30[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't say what had gained anything.
- 21:31[SPEAKER_01]: I said I would have just like to have known about it more.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_01]: I get the movie of seven out of ten.
- 21:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's a good movie.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_01]: I'd watch it again.
- 21:37[SPEAKER_02]: More than the press that was already out at the time about everything that was going on.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because there was the press that came out was with Liz and Diana Ross in my opinion that what they revealed in the press was what they were allowed to reveal.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was more.
- 21:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think there were probably times when Diana Ross and Michael Jackson sat down in a room and had human real
- 22:01[SPEAKER_01]: conversations about what he was going through.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_01]: And I would have liked to have seen some of that.
- 22:08[SPEAKER_01]: Same thing with Liz Taylor, maybe.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_02]: And maybe the reason why they left it out of this portion of the movie was because they're going to talk about it.
- 22:14[SPEAKER_02]: I just thought that when they could tell you.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: I said if the people on that, oh, yeah.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: What did you say?
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: And they're listening to me.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_01]: What did you put that in the next movie?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: Nobody can help us listen to you.
- 22:25[SPEAKER_01]: I know you interjecting all guys and it's important they should be listening to me because they let stuff out of this because it's called the anovars cheesy popcorn Thank God, and a cheesy and call it an a cheesy
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: Or cheesy vibe.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: Is that, is that to go along with the actor from, from Prada 2, that was Prada 2?
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: What was cheesy, cheesy buns, what was that?
- 22:46[SPEAKER_02]: She's the two cheese.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: She's the two.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so there we go.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_01]: And if she, I like the movie, you like it.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_01]: You like it.
- 22:51[SPEAKER_02]: And a cheesy, cheesy touchy.
- 22:53[SPEAKER_01]: She's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who's the one who
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: No, nothing new.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_01]: I was hoping for more new stuff.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know if there would have been just being else new to bring to the table about it.
- 23:17[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it seemed like the media back then growing up as a kid was all over him anyways about everything.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't think there was anything in this movie to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn, to learn
- 23:56[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so if they would have told you that Tito got him some tissue, you'd have been okay with that.
- 23:59[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 24:00[SPEAKER_01]: I would have liked to have known how Tito and your maintenance, so I guess.
- 24:03[SPEAKER_02]: Where's that reference from?
- 24:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just think it's, I think.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, where's the reference from?
- 24:07[SPEAKER_02]: Tito gave me some tissue.
- 24:09[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 24:12[UNKNOWN]: I don't know.
- 24:13[SPEAKER_01]: I just thought, I, you know, when I go to see like rocket man, I thought really gave you stuff you didn't know about Alton John.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but Elton wasn't out there in the, so that's what this is what I was trying to get it was.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: But he wasn't out there in the press as much.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: Hold on.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: Let me finish my sentence here.
- 24:29[SPEAKER_02]: Elton was not out on the press as much as Michael was grown up as a kid.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_02]: Michael had press coverage all the time.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't disagree.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_02]: Elton not so much until
- 24:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's a lot of press until you came out, but you learned a lot more about it, and then rock it, man, then you did in this movie.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_02]: But that's what I'm saying, because the press didn't do that again.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: Again, this movie just gave you what the press had already gave us.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_01]: To me, right, not to you.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_01]: And maybe there's a question and go, you know what, I learned a lot.
- 24:58[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not called Michael Jackson, the Unkept Secret.
- 25:01[SPEAKER_01]: No, but it should be right, but that's the point.
- 25:03[SPEAKER_02]: I'll let Michael Jackson tell me what I know and then you would have been in this as disappointed as I was with that stupid Parallel Rivera thing where he went into the mues into the vaults for Capone and there was nothing but dust in there.
- 25:17[SPEAKER_02]: I was not disappointed.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: I was like wow, dude.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: This was a total of other disappoints
- 25:22[SPEAKER_01]: I was cheering, you know why?
- 25:23[SPEAKER_01]: Cause it made the Harald a look like the idiot that he is.
- 25:25[SPEAKER_02]: Well, but that's what I'm saying.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_02]: Like it was completely wrong.
- 25:27[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not saying that I was, I'm not saying that Harald a river is any shape of, well, I mean, he was a journalist to some extent.
- 25:34[SPEAKER_02]: I said to some extent, but I'm also saying that like, I just was like, really dude, I sat here and watched this over nothing but dust.
- 25:42[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like, wow, that was a waste of my time.
- 25:44[SPEAKER_02]: So good to know that it's not a waste of time.
- 25:46[SPEAKER_02]: No, to know that you gave it a seven out of ten.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_02]: So at least we I didn't did I say anything Well, you got to raise your voice up here like Michael Jackson.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: Do I need to get you some tissue?
- 25:59[SPEAKER_01]: So there you go take our reviews with the friend how I got the monkey a grain of tissue How you got the monkey that was new from the zoo you got it from my rescue
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: It was a, the monkey had been abused.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: Was that a tissue rush room?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
- 26:17[SPEAKER_01]: A tissue.
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: It was a tissue.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_01]: It was a tissue.
- 26:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's a tissue.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: A tissue.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_01]: So next week, I'm going to go see Prada too.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: This is so you remember.
- 26:27[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to go see Amino Farme.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_01]: which is based on George Orwell's book.
- 26:32[SPEAKER_02]: And it's animated, which I'm surpriest that you didn't want to go see that over product too.
- 26:38[SPEAKER_02]: But I know how you are.
- 26:39[SPEAKER_02]: You want to get drag queen to that movie.
- 26:42[SPEAKER_02]: So we're good.
- 26:43[SPEAKER_01]: I do.
- 26:44[SPEAKER_01]: I like that.
- 26:45[SPEAKER_01]: I told you, I got drag to the first one.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't think I'd like it.
- 26:47[SPEAKER_01]: Like a queen.
- 26:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I think I like this one.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully, you know, sequels are tough.
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, sequels are tough.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_01]: So we'll see Got a Meryl Streep again and Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt so That's a pretty good and daily to cheat.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_01]: They can't forget.
- 27:03[SPEAKER_01]: You love him.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_01]: I love Stanley Probably more than you should all right, so you know, he was in a movie with he's been a bunch of movies.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: Jason's dream.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: You like Jason's dream
- 27:14[SPEAKER_01]: Action, not really.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_01]: I like him a lot.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: I like his movies.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_01]: And he was in a movie where Jason Ström is like a bodyguard in Las Vegas for high rollers.
- 27:23[SPEAKER_01]: And Stanley Tucci plays Baby.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: He's called Baby.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's a gangster.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's a big-time gangster.
- 27:29[SPEAKER_01]: And it's a very small role.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_01]: But it's very Stanley Tucci.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: And he plays it so well.
- 27:40[SPEAKER_01]: You know, he's just, he's, I like families too, too.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so Jason, to me, feels seems and like he plays the same character all the time.
- 27:49[SPEAKER_02]: Who, Jason?
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: Say it them.
- 27:51[SPEAKER_02]: I don't feel like he has a depth whatsoever.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I don't like him.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's James Junklaw Vandah.
- 27:57[SPEAKER_02]: Well, it starts with, say, him and Steven Sagaal.
- 28:00[SPEAKER_02]: Steven Sagaal, first two movies were great.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: After that, I was like, it's the same thing with a different set of, you know, if you're the different dressing.
- 28:06[SPEAKER_01]: If you're like, uh,
- 28:08[SPEAKER_01]: Vandam, he didn't move because no were to run.
- 28:11[SPEAKER_01]: That was a whole different thing.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_02]: Those two, and so I saw no were to run.
- 28:16[SPEAKER_02]: A great movie.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_02]: And those are the two movies that I watched the videos.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_02]: I watched BloodSport and I watched that one.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: I've seen the hockey one too.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_01]: The hockey one's not bad, where he's a secured, that's not horrible.
- 28:27[SPEAKER_01]: But no were to run as bifires best acting movie.
- 28:30[SPEAKER_01]: And I told him, I met him on a plane, I don't know if I told you.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_01]: I met him on a plane to France.
- 28:34[SPEAKER_02]: You told me this, which you haven't told our audience.
- 28:36[SPEAKER_01]: I met him on a airplane, I saw him on the other side too, right?
- 28:40[SPEAKER_01]: No, I just met him on a plane, I got his autograph, and they were going to France.
- 28:43[SPEAKER_02]: How did you not see his underpants?
- 28:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, I wouldn't see his underpants.
- 28:46[SPEAKER_01]: But he was in front of me at customs.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_01]: And he went through, he had only one guy, no one to rush, you were saying it was really impressed with it.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then I stepped up and said, you see him, he looks like he could beat the fuck out of the plane.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the guy says, uh,
- 29:00[SPEAKER_01]: Password to police and I gave my press for you because are you here for the business of pleasure?
- 29:05[SPEAKER_01]: I said business.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_01]: It said what the business do you have I said I'm I'm a video producer Are you working with him?
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like no, I'm not working with him.
- 29:15[SPEAKER_01]: I'm doing something else But thank you you may go That's like I'm not a real good friend.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, actually you're underpants.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: No
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: But I saw him again at back.
- 29:25[SPEAKER_01]: I thought every time you go to France, you see everybody's underpants.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: No, I didn't see anything.
- 29:28[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't see that.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't see that.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: I saw a lot of people smoking.
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I saw.
- 29:34[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, so we're done.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_02]: I guess unless you have something else to say about Michael and how the support you were there that you learned.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_02]: I was just how disappointed you were that you didn't learn anything you didn't already know.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sometimes if you let people finish their statements, you'll see where they're going with them.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: I have a hard time with you.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I clearly.
- 29:54[SPEAKER_01]: So that's it for this week.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_01]: Folks uh, no, it's not it's not.
- 29:57[SPEAKER_01]: No, we got to talk about costumes.
- 29:59[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about costumes.
- 30:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you're just upset because you did do your homework and you were trying to get past it.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: You thought you thought that you thought that I was going to be like the teacher and be like, okay, it's okay, class.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_02]: You totally distracted me and whatever.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: That shit worked in the 60s.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_02]: That shit worked in the 60s.
- 30:13[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't work now and I'm giving him time right now so he can open up his stupid iPad to show he can pull up his notes because he wasn't ready.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, I was ready for castle Let's forget what we're doing.
- 30:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so right you were anyway, so the whole point of this
- 30:31[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to know about some of the stuff that you know.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: What I do know is that what I do know is that you were not happy about the fact that you didn't learn anything new from the Michael Jackson.
- 30:41[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_02]: You have been adamant about that.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_01]: You want to go first?
- 30:46[SPEAKER_01]: No, you have to go first.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: Because you like to talk.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let me ask you a question.
- 30:50[SPEAKER_01]: Mr. Five Boxer.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Five Boxer.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: five bucks yeah okay add it on to what you already owe me from the Oscars which is still having paid me back for okay when was remember this folks he makes bets but he doesn't actually follow through with them right yeah I could be in in the administration in Washington right now we are not pulling full do not go first award for cast in design given
- 31:23[SPEAKER_01]: You're wrong.
- 31:25[SPEAKER_01]: 1948.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_01]: That was close.
- 31:27[SPEAKER_01]: They broke it into two categories.
- 31:29[SPEAKER_01]: What were the two categories?
- 31:31[SPEAKER_02]: One and two.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_01]: They were, but then, but they had a word after the shortitude.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_01]: Shortitude.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_02]: Film and long film.
- 31:39[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 31:40[SPEAKER_01]: Think about 1948.
- 31:42[SPEAKER_01]: What happened in 1948?
- 31:43[SPEAKER_02]: I wasn't even a thought.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_02]: My dad wasn't even born in 48.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_02]: So how the hell would I know, Mr.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_02]: I've been around since 48?
- 31:50[SPEAKER_01]: I was more six years later.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_01]: They had two categories, color and black and white, because black and white, it's still not been phased up.
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: That's nonsense.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: So there was color and black and white.
- 32:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like it makes any difference.
- 32:03[SPEAKER_01]: It does make a difference.
- 32:05[SPEAKER_02]: 1940 it was, no, there was color when there was black and white movies.
- 32:09[SPEAKER_02]: You just didn't, it was film color.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: Color.
- 32:11[SPEAKER_01]: In 1948, Hamlet won best costume for black and white film.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: Of course it did.
- 32:20[SPEAKER_01]: What film do you think, one for color?
- 32:23[SPEAKER_02]: No idea.
- 32:24[SPEAKER_02]: This isn't lunchtime trivia.
- 32:26[SPEAKER_02]: It isn't.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: Joan of Arc.
- 32:29[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.
- 32:30[SPEAKER_01]: Joan of Arc one.
- 32:31[SPEAKER_02]: The TV show?
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: Just not the TV show.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good TV show.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: Van Arc.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: No, Joan of Arc was the TV show.
- 32:37[SPEAKER_02]: No, Joan of Arc was the TV show like in either the late 90s or early 2000s.
- 32:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, it was actually pretty good.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's too religious for me.
- 32:44[SPEAKER_02]: It was had nothing to do with the religion.
- 32:46[SPEAKER_01]: That's what that Joan of Arc is all about.
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: It was nothing to do with the religion.
- 32:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there were religious references in it, but it was not about like Joan of Arc.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: It was about people and how they were like Joan of Arc.
- 32:57[SPEAKER_02]: So what are your movies?
- 32:58[SPEAKER_01]: My.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: Last costumes.
- 33:00[SPEAKER_01]: My, I have, I have.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, and let's ask, what is your interpretation?
- 33:04[SPEAKER_02]: Because clearly last week, you were upset with me that I didn't pick soundtracks that were moving the move along, moving the movie along.
- 33:11[SPEAKER_02]: And somebody wants to totally disagree with you about something, by the way, about how the soundtracks, it doesn't matter.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_02]: Other people who like me more than they like you.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_02]: I like this guy, I like that too.
- 33:25[SPEAKER_02]: No, they were like, he picked musicals.
- 33:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's all he picked.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_02]: It was musicals.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.
- 33:32[SPEAKER_02]: And did you were like, oh, that doesn't move the movie along?
- 33:36[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: They weren't all musicals.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: I had another one in the musical.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: They were not all musicals.
- 33:40[SPEAKER_02]: What did you pick last week?
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 33:43[SPEAKER_02]: Greece?
- 33:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: Musical.
- 33:45[SPEAKER_02]: Greece?
- 33:46[SPEAKER_02]: The showman or whatever it's called.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_02]: Great showman.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_02]: Great showman.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_02]: but it was still a, it was, oh, a bodyguard.
- 33:56[SPEAKER_02]: No, I said the bodyguard.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's what you said.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_02]: But bodyguard is not a musical, but it's the music that moves that, moving through.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: And I also said cycle.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_01]: I said the music in cycle.
- 34:08[SPEAKER_01]: The soundtrack for cycle.
- 34:09[SPEAKER_02]: You said that through the fact.
- 34:10[SPEAKER_02]: But the point is is that the argument was is that the bodyguard, these people you're talking to, it doesn't matter.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: I want their names and addresses.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: Juan, Juan B.
- 34:23[SPEAKER_02]: Juan A and Juan B. Jose and the host B. Yeah, well, I was trying to not go that route, but anyway.
- 34:29[SPEAKER_02]: All right, so yeah, so the argument, the argument was is that you were like, oh, yeah, the body card moved, the music moved that story along.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_02]: The music from that movie was the performances.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: Every single song in that movie was a performance in what?
- 34:43[SPEAKER_02]: And they weren't in order either.
- 34:45[SPEAKER_01]: No, not in body guard.
- 34:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, in body guard.
- 34:47[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 34:48[SPEAKER_01]: Some of we had more to do with the assassin plot than music.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: You mean the sister?
- 34:55[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 34:56[SPEAKER_01]: Give me a break.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god.
- 34:59[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it is with you Chris.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, my first one out here's my criteria is the costumes have to fit the storyline and the period.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: the time period.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, thank you for.
- 35:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because there's movies out there.
- 35:19[SPEAKER_01]: Thank you for qualifying that.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_01]: There's movies that the costumes didn't really weren't really from that time.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_01]: And you were like, well, I didn't want to warn that.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not saying like a watch during like a king art or thing, but where does the mistake?
- 35:32[SPEAKER_01]: That I'm not talking about that.
- 35:33[SPEAKER_01]: And my first one is West Side Story.
- 35:40[SPEAKER_01]: Customs fit.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: the era, the jets dressed the way the gangs dressed back then, the sharks dressed the way they would have dressed, the you know the color pattern for the for the for the Puerto Rican gangs and stuff was right right on.
- 36:00[SPEAKER_01]: They wore bland the color schemes for the white gang was right on.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_01]: I thought it all just fell into place.
- 36:09[SPEAKER_01]: Second wicked.
- 36:10[SPEAKER_01]: Ooh, I think the costumes in Wicked are just fabulous.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're fantasy, but they move the movie as well as the music.
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: Lord of the Rings, return to the King, I thought the costumes in that movie were absolutely fantastic as well, and then my last one is the sting.
- 36:37[SPEAKER_01]: And I, I like the sting because again, they were, you know, because you're a beekeeper, huh?
- 36:44[SPEAKER_02]: Cause you're a beekeeper.
- 36:46[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, 1950s.
- 36:47[SPEAKER_01]: All the costuming fit the era that they were in.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_01]: someone took time to look at and say what would people wear back then, and I thought they captured that really well in that movie too.
- 37:01[SPEAKER_01]: So those are mine.
- 37:02[SPEAKER_01]: And then I have one worst costume, but I'll let you do yours.
- 37:05[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead with the worst costume.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_02]: No, go ahead with the worst costume.
- 37:09[SPEAKER_02]: No, now you're now you're going to be six.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm going to give you.
- 37:12[SPEAKER_02]: No, it's because you didn't get any pads.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's why it is.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: I see how it is.
- 37:15[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 37:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and any moves away from the microphone to which is the best part, but not long enough anyway.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: So number one from the month, yeah, we know.
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: Number one, we could hear you breathing.
- 37:27[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_01]: Do you say monkey something?
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you are a monkey.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know that.
- 37:31[SPEAKER_02]: Number one is Mulan Rouge.
- 37:34[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, I'm not one of my picks, but nobody said nobody asked you if it was your picks.
- 37:39[SPEAKER_02]: We are asking your picks.
- 37:40[SPEAKER_02]: We're going through your picks.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_02]: Is it my picks?
- 37:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's funny how my picks have to do with you have to be your picks at the same time.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_02]: So just because of that, we actually agreed on one.
- 37:50[SPEAKER_02]: which is kind of funny, wicked.
- 37:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 37:54[SPEAKER_02]: I believe that those the costumes in that are just one.
- 37:56[SPEAKER_02]: Just, well, overall, both, even though I didn't like too as much as one, I still feel like better in one personally.
- 38:05[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the costume was consistent through both.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: No.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: And it looks so.
- 38:09[SPEAKER_02]: You're entitled to your own, dumb stupid opinion.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: We know.
- 38:11[SPEAKER_02]: So there we go.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: And then, let's see, Harry Potter and the sorcerers don't know.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_02]: What are you?
- 38:19[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you, you've made it in that case.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: He's a piece for himself.
- 38:22[SPEAKER_01]: So all you got to say is the Sona.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: You're entitled to your own DSO.
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: We got to be careful with that, because that's real close to something else.
- 38:29[SPEAKER_02]: So anyway, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer Stone.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: OK, another great costume movie.
- 38:35[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm going to go with a period piece.
- 38:39[SPEAKER_02]: Oh.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: And oh, he says, where to go.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the great Gatsby.
- 38:50[SPEAKER_02]: And then last but not least, yes.
- 38:52[SPEAKER_02]: Just because of the horror fam that I am, I have to bring up the costuming for Van Helsing.
- 38:58[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm a big fan of Van Helsing.
- 39:03[SPEAKER_01]: I put it, I put it in my top 10.
- 39:06[SPEAKER_02]: We didn't, there's no racking here.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_01]: I know, but I put that in my top 10.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_01]: Well, we're a castle team as well.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: But these were my picks, not yours.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_01]: No, there were years.
- 39:14[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, okay, okay.
- 39:16[SPEAKER_01]: Did you have a worst?
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: Um, see, I'm not, so I can't really, I don't, I don't really think I have a worst one because I feel like in movies where the costumes are bad, the whole movie is just bad.
- 39:37[SPEAKER_02]: So, okay, good thing we're not on video right now, go for, but anyway, so yeah, I don't, I don't feel like I have, I don't feel like I have one, okay?
- 39:49[SPEAKER_02]: I have one, just
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: So what what's yours because you're obviously waiting with made it go for breath well I've told you just before I'm a huge Star Trek fan The original Star Trek will William Shatton and learn anyway, and then they made the movies Search for Spock Wrath of Khan
- 40:08[SPEAKER_01]: the voyage home, which is the final movie with William Shattner and Leonard Nimoy.
- 40:12[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who decided.
- 40:14[SPEAKER_02]: Is that the whale one?
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 40:16[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know who decided to have the questions for that piece of shit role.
- 40:20[SPEAKER_01]: But look like he just came out of the fucking show.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 40:22[SPEAKER_02]: So yeah, I will, I, that's, yeah, you're right.
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably, I agree with you.
- 40:27[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably the one that would be worse.
- 40:28[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody was like, uh, just given this.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's like it looked like Lenin and more came out of his dressing was said does anybody have my costumes And then let me swear that So that's my that's my worst anyway.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_01]: That was fun We always have fun.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: We always have fun.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_02]: And we're gonna have a funny guy.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_01]: So we're doing your folks.
- 40:49[SPEAKER_01]: We haven't fun.
- 40:50[SPEAKER_01]: We don't win out of experts You're not well, I'm not an expert
- 40:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm an X-Chan, but I'm not an X-Chan, but I'm not an X-Chan, but I'm not an X-Chan, but I'm not an X-Chan, but I'm not an X-Chan, but I'm not an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an X-Chan, but I'm just an
- 41:13[SPEAKER_01]: As long as your name is not our mind, exactly.
- 41:15[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, exactly.
- 41:17[SPEAKER_02]: We got a lot of comments from them all the time.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_01]: Our mind came through this week, so.
- 41:21[SPEAKER_01]: How?
- 41:22[SPEAKER_01]: For you, your friend.
- 41:24[SPEAKER_01]: So we can go.
- 41:25[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah, totally, yeah.
- 41:26[SPEAKER_02]: Well, yes, thank you.
- 41:27[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you know what, I could do that here.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: You're good.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you again so much, our mind, for the hookup that you did this week.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: Totally appreciate that.
- 41:34[SPEAKER_02]: If you're in the Chicago land area, check out if you're in the Western suburbs.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, more in Western.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was Westmont.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: No, it's down, it was good.
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to have a new 410 Ogden and the name of the place be bare auto repair.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: There's your free plug.
- 41:48[SPEAKER_02]: There it is right there again for the awesome work that you did this week.
- 41:52[SPEAKER_02]: Appreciate that as well.
- 41:53[SPEAKER_02]: All right and so to others.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: So make sure you join us next week.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about two reviews.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: Two reviews.
- 41:58[SPEAKER_02]: The devil or the devil wears a product too.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: Which you're going to be dragged like a queen too.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: And then animal farm, which I'm not going to be dragged like anything to know, although probably those animals will get dragged somewhere.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's depending upon how close to the book it really is.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: And we won't say anything more than that because we've been accused of too many spoilers.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 42:18[SPEAKER_01]: I think we should start Michael if you I don't want people to think that I'm trash in the movie the movie was good Oh, too late.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_01]: We are just it just left me wanting more.
- 42:29[SPEAKER_02]: I guess that's really the best way I could say it But isn't that what a movie should do make you want to leave you wanting more?
- 42:34[SPEAKER_02]: No, you think every movie should satisfy you.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_01]: I think every movie should you are clearly watching the wrong more give you
- 42:43[SPEAKER_01]: But a bio movie, biopic movie should, you should walk away saying, I didn't know that.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_01]: And I didn't do that at this one.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_01]: The only thing I didn't know was that I could have got a large park plump for another dollar.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_02]: Some of I know you knew that already.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_01]: No, I want to get a refill, but I feel like you've got to get the extra large for the dollar more.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like the expectation of wanting to learn something you didn't know about Michael might be a little bit too high because he was all over the press.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: But whatever next week we'll talk about our favorite question and then tell me if you I don't know if I'm going to get to it this week because you know that's not it.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_01]: There wasn't a question.
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: And what I didn't say was a question.
- 43:24[SPEAKER_02]: I was answering their questions with a question mark.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_02]: I said you know I didn't I will talk about it.
- 43:30[SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't but I was I wasn't I wasn't it.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: You keep forgetting who's in charge of.
- 43:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah me.
- 43:37[SPEAKER_02]: Anyway, so with that next week, we're going to talk about our favorite Westerns, which we know you'll have at least 20.
- 43:43[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm sure.
- 43:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm sure you did.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: Don't even want to know.
- 43:49[SPEAKER_02]: It'll be my list.
- 43:50[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to talk about the devours product and what we thought of that.
- 43:53[SPEAKER_02]: We'll talk about animal farm, what we talk about that.
- 43:54[SPEAKER_02]: And then of course we'll talk about the movies that are coming out next weekend as well.
- 43:58[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we do on every single episode here on cheesy popcorn.
- 44:01[SPEAKER_01]: And until next week, save us some popcorn.
