- 2:12Speaker 1: you know that Bad to Business is bringing all diverse
- 2:15Speaker 1: discussions to business.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Always about.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Just trying to bring diverse discussions to a business table
- 2:23Speaker 1: or really a common ground, just trying to find some
- 2:25Speaker 1: way to have some unity or even make a profit
- 2:28Speaker 1: while we're doing it right.
- 2:30Speaker 2: So there will always be shows.
- 2:33Speaker 1: Whether there's about a particular subject being that it's somebody
- 2:38Speaker 1: who talk to me about something and they want to
- 2:41Speaker 1: see a show and see how the discussion is brought
- 2:43Speaker 1: about or something that has just come to mind for myself. Again,
- 2:48Speaker 1: you can always tap in, call in, let me know.
- 2:51Speaker 1: If there's something that you want to discuss. I'll bring
- 2:53Speaker 1: that to the business table as well. So but here
- 2:58Speaker 1: are bad to business. We always want to just find
- 3:00Speaker 1: a common ground. It's never about conflict, always about common ground.
- 3:03Speaker 1: So come on y'all, tap been, tap been. I want
- 3:07Speaker 1: to see y'all this evening. Happy Sunday, Happy Sunday. I
- 3:09Speaker 1: hope it's been a relaxable Sunday. You know, football season
- 3:13Speaker 1: is back in, so your girl is back with la. Okay,
- 3:18Speaker 1: don't hate on me, don't hate the players, hate the game.
- 3:22Speaker 1: I picked a team that's where I'm from. Come on in,
- 3:26Speaker 1: come on in.
- 3:29Speaker 2: That's Disneys.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I got some stuff for y'all today. Like I said,
- 3:36Speaker 1: just gearing for a fabulous week. I'm looking forward to
- 3:40Speaker 1: a fabulous week. Today is Sunday, and it was pretty
- 3:45Speaker 1: relaxing for the most part, and I am grateful. So
- 3:49Speaker 1: I've made it this far with all the things going
- 3:52Speaker 1: on in the world and in my own individual life
- 3:55Speaker 1: as well. I'm sure as everybody's going through whatever they're
- 3:58Speaker 1: going through, get through it. But it's been a busy
- 4:04Speaker 1: week at the least, I should say. So I'm just
- 4:07Speaker 1: glad that I am here. Thank y'all for joining me.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Hello, so y'all, Hey, anyway, let me go ahead and
- 4:22Speaker 3: get this roll.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And like I said, welcome to bad to Business.
- 4:27Speaker 1: I am your home, shine and Saffron, And today I
- 4:31Speaker 1: am just going to bring some diverse conversation to the table.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Some different things have occurred this week and different things
- 4:40Speaker 1: I've experienced, and I just want to kind of share
- 4:41Speaker 1: it with you guys. So sit down and enjoy the
- 4:45Speaker 1: ride if you don't mind.
- 4:49Speaker 2: And let's get down to business.
- 4:51Speaker 1: So my first topic of conversation is I went to
- 4:54Speaker 1: an arts festival this past weekend. I took my daughters
- 4:58Speaker 1: to an arts festival and and it was amazing, it
- 5:02Speaker 1: really was. There were so many different things going on,
- 5:07Speaker 1: different artists displaying, different things.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I got to see, you know, just different types of art.
- 5:13Speaker 1: My daughters got to see different types of art, and
- 5:15Speaker 1: they're artists themselves, and their upcoming. One of my daughters
- 5:18Speaker 1: wants to go to a specific art school of her choice,
- 5:21Speaker 1: and she's doing things geared towards that's very proud of
- 5:25Speaker 1: her for that, and so I felt like letting them
- 5:29Speaker 1: see how far it could take you in different styles
- 5:33Speaker 1: of art and stuff would be good for them to experience.
- 5:35Speaker 2: So we did that.
- 5:36Speaker 1: It was very nice, very wonderful. But the different types
- 5:40Speaker 1: of art were really cool too. We got to see
- 5:41Speaker 1: like textured art and sculptures and custom art. Just the
- 5:49Speaker 1: way that they structure things, the creative minds that were there,
- 5:52Speaker 1: and the way that they do things.
- 5:53Speaker 2: Just it's fantastic.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Anytime you get a chance to go to an arts
- 5:56Speaker 1: festival or any type of museum, just don't skip out
- 5:59Speaker 1: on this chance. Ort least, don't let your kids skip
- 6:01Speaker 1: out on that. But it was wonderful. I got to
- 6:05Speaker 1: experience something called fresh paint art, and there was an
- 6:09Speaker 1: artist there who basically was doing art right then and there,
- 6:13Speaker 1: and I thought that was very kind of unique and
- 6:16Speaker 1: significant at the same time because she was showing that
- 6:20Speaker 1: she was the actual artist, so unlike some of the
- 6:24Speaker 1: artists there who were just there selling their art and
- 6:27Speaker 1: selling their paintings, she was actually selling hers but showing
- 6:30Speaker 1: that she was the artist that created it by recreating
- 6:33Speaker 1: it right before your own eyes. So it was kind
- 6:36Speaker 1: of like fresh paint. So there was a couple of
- 6:38Speaker 1: them that she had just done that morning that you could.
- 6:40Speaker 2: Just purchase right there.
- 6:43Speaker 1: We didn't get there early enough to kind of see that,
- 6:46Speaker 1: but some of them we arrived right afterwards, where.
- 6:49Speaker 2: That's where the.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Expression fresh paint came from. She was like, it's still wet.
- 6:55Speaker 1: You can purchase it if you want to, but it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: still wet. And what I liked about her art this
- 7:00Speaker 1: particular artist, and I will be displaying some of the
- 7:02Speaker 1: arts and stuff and the websites and ways you can
- 7:07Speaker 1: connect with these artists because I was able to obtain
- 7:09Speaker 1: some information on them because it was just it's something
- 7:12Speaker 1: that was needed to be shared and experienced. But she
- 7:18Speaker 1: had kind of like a Bob Ross kind of technique,
- 7:24Speaker 1: And like I said, I wish I was there to
- 7:26Speaker 1: have seen her actually do the work.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Because he was an artist to see.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Right, If y'all remember Bob Ross, all those who do
- 7:35Speaker 1: you know what era you were in, My mom was
- 7:37Speaker 1: an artist herself, and she liked his technique of how
- 7:40Speaker 1: he did lags, trees and stuff like that. And she
- 7:43Speaker 1: was a fan. She actually gave homage to him. There
- 7:45Speaker 1: was a picture of of him up there, I assume
- 7:49Speaker 1: as inspiration. But it was nice. So that was kind
- 7:54Speaker 1: of cool, and I, just like I said, enjoyed seeing
- 7:59Speaker 1: all the ferent types of art. Another thing I liked
- 8:02Speaker 1: seeing down there. This was in like I said, Atlanta
- 8:05Speaker 1: and the Pedmont area. I like to see the community
- 8:07Speaker 1: support down there. A lot of times, different parts in
- 8:13Speaker 1: different areas of cities get bad reps. Piedmont area is
- 8:17Speaker 1: one of them, this particular side. And I know they're
- 8:20Speaker 1: cleaning up stuff in Atlanta, but just to see the
- 8:23Speaker 1: support where they do the road closures, they do, the.
- 8:29Speaker 2: They do the like the it's just like drama free.
- 8:33Speaker 2: You know.
- 8:34Speaker 1: What I noticed is everybody was on the same accord.
- 8:36Speaker 1: You do have your normal people who skate there and
- 8:39Speaker 1: walk there, do their jogs and walk their dogs, just
- 8:44Speaker 1: regular community stuff. But they weren't offended by other people, visiting, tourists,
- 8:51Speaker 1: whatever the case may be. The artist setting up there.
- 8:55Speaker 1: You could just tell it was just a normal vibe.
- 8:57Speaker 1: And I really liked the fact that nobody felt offended.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Nobody was doing anything weird. You know, everybody was out
- 9:02Speaker 1: having a good time. It was hot weather, very very hot,
- 9:04Speaker 1: but still no bad attitudes. So I really like that.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And being able to take my daughters out to see
- 9:11Speaker 1: that was really cool too.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Let's see. Uh. And one of the things I got
- 9:16Speaker 2: to experience while I was there.
- 9:18Speaker 1: Was the the Psychiatry exhibit. This thing was pretty powerful.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Let me show y'all something this thing here. There was
- 9:32Speaker 1: an exhibit that discussed the different treatments of psychiatry, not
- 9:42Speaker 1: to be confused with therapy, which I want to make
- 9:45Speaker 1: clear to myself again as well as anybody listening, that
- 9:50Speaker 1: psychiatry has a way of treating their patients, Okay. And
- 9:58Speaker 1: there was a lot of information that I didn't know.
- 10:02Speaker 1: There's a lot of information that I was able to
- 10:03Speaker 1: soak in and I want to share it with you all.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be able to share it all in
- 10:10Speaker 1: my segment here, but I will give you information to
- 10:14Speaker 1: follow up on. It just kind of exposes the dangers
- 10:17Speaker 1: of the medicine industry, if you will. It dives a
- 10:21Speaker 1: little bit deeper into the more than a theory that
- 10:24Speaker 1: there's money in the medicine more than there is in
- 10:27Speaker 1: a cure. The crazy part about it is the medicines
- 10:31Speaker 1: that are used to actually treat what is supposedly, I
- 10:39Speaker 1: guess in some cases uncurable. So I won't get into
- 10:42Speaker 1: too much. I'll let y'all follow into that if you
- 10:44Speaker 1: want to. I don't want any entities, any body to
- 10:48Speaker 1: be offended by the things I say. I don't want
- 10:50Speaker 1: any algorithms to feel offended by the things I say
- 10:53Speaker 1: or the research I've even written. I mean, I've stumbled
- 10:56Speaker 1: upon or was I'm sorry allowed to even and experience.
- 11:02Speaker 1: But it's pretty powerful. A lot of things were kind
- 11:06Speaker 1: of shown and shed some light on some things that
- 11:10Speaker 1: even are happening today. This stuff has been going on
- 11:12Speaker 1: for years and years and years, and before any of
- 11:17Speaker 1: us even knew what certain pills do and what they
- 11:21Speaker 1: were prescribed for. It was significant for me to learn
- 11:26Speaker 1: that there is a pill out there, and some of
- 11:27Speaker 1: y'all may know about it. It was news to me
- 11:30Speaker 1: news I can use too, that there is a pill
- 11:32Speaker 1: right now on the market that is equivalent to and lobotomy,
- 11:39Speaker 1: and which is kind of crazy to me that there's
- 11:44Speaker 1: a pill that and I mean, for whatever reason, I
- 11:46Speaker 1: haven't done as much research.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Some of y'all may know it, like I said, click.
- 11:50Speaker 1: In, tap in, let me know, give me a different perspective,
- 11:52Speaker 1: a different point of view. That there's a medicine on
- 11:56Speaker 1: the line or on the on the market that just
- 11:59Speaker 1: leaves you in vegetat vegetated state.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Why would you need to take that?
- 12:05Speaker 1: But but like I said, it kind of shed some
- 12:08Speaker 1: light on that. There are a couple of movies and
- 12:13Speaker 1: shows that I've seen that reminded me of some of
- 12:16Speaker 1: the information that it gave and shed light on some
- 12:19Speaker 1: of y'all may know this again not telling really my age,
- 12:22Speaker 1: but I am telling my research, and so hopefully you
- 12:25Speaker 1: know some of these things. But one of the movies
- 12:27Speaker 1: is One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest with Jack Nicholson,
- 12:30Speaker 1: where it kind of shows the things he went through
- 12:33Speaker 1: in the psychiatric ward. And one of the things that
- 12:38Speaker 1: I drew from that is that it shows the dehumanity, dehumanitizing,
- 12:44Speaker 1: dehumanitizing excuse me of how the institutions kind of try
- 12:50Speaker 1: to get you to go from individualism to conformalism. You
- 12:58Speaker 1: they try to get you to lose yourself in other words,
- 13:02Speaker 1: and you go from one thing I picked up when
- 13:05Speaker 1: I was reading about is you go from sanity to insanity.
- 13:12Speaker 2: That's the opposite of what you're going there for, right, So.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Just kind of looking at that and looking at the
- 13:18Speaker 1: different information that this exhibit provided, it really kind of
- 13:23Speaker 1: shows you how backwards some of the medicine industry is.
- 13:28Speaker 2: We all know it, we all talk about it.
- 13:31Speaker 1: Some of us rebel against it, some of us can't
- 13:34Speaker 1: help it. But it is interesting to know a lot
- 13:38Speaker 1: of information. So it's always good to open up your knowledge.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I was talking to one of the workers there and
- 13:47Speaker 1: I also brought up one of the pictures depicts I
- 13:50Speaker 1: don't know if any of you follow, but I was
- 13:52Speaker 1: watching a series called Bridgerton, and it depicts the spinoff
- 13:56Speaker 1: from that of Queen Charlotte and the young Prince George
- 14:02Speaker 1: or King George, I'm sorry, the young King George, where
- 14:04Speaker 1: he was going through a mental state, a mental period
- 14:08Speaker 1: of depression. They didn't know what to do for him,
- 14:11Speaker 1: you know, doctors were still trying to figure out what
- 14:13Speaker 1: to do for people like that. And it said that
- 14:17Speaker 1: it reflected the primitive and often cruel medical practices of
- 14:22Speaker 1: the eighteenth century. That's how that's really described. So, you know,
- 14:28Speaker 1: really we watched things as entertainment if you will. But
- 14:33Speaker 1: really it's really deeper than that. You know, there were
- 14:38Speaker 1: things done to people that made them crazier than when
- 14:44Speaker 1: they came right, and it's still going on today. So
- 14:47Speaker 1: I just I want you all to know about that information.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I will, like I said, be posting things. I have books, DVDs.
- 14:54Speaker 1: There's still some more research I want to do before
- 14:56Speaker 1: I put out information like that, because I want to
- 14:58Speaker 1: give y'all valid things to follow up on and things
- 15:00Speaker 1: to things to go on.
- 15:02Speaker 2: Information that you really need news you can use right.
- 15:06Speaker 1: One thing that I did notice about this too, there
- 15:10Speaker 1: was a display of how many people have really been
- 15:15Speaker 1: affected by mistreatment or misdiagnosis of mental illness. And a
- 15:21Speaker 1: lot of them are celebrities. I mean from I'm gonna
- 15:24Speaker 1: name a couple of people that I did see on
- 15:25Speaker 1: the screen. There were Robin Williams, I d Osbourne, there
- 15:32Speaker 1: was like.
- 15:34Speaker 2: What's her name there?
- 15:36Speaker 1: I mean, it was so many, Marilyn Moreau one of
- 15:41Speaker 1: my favorites. It was so many. I really don't want
- 15:44Speaker 1: to name them all. I'm like, again, I'm gonna show
- 15:45Speaker 1: you guys what's going on, but that it just kind
- 15:49Speaker 1: of destroyed some lives and overall, what it showed was
- 15:52Speaker 1: that we in the end, we all face a penalty
- 15:55Speaker 1: of losing these great people because they were, like I said,
- 15:58Speaker 1: misdiagnosed or mistreated. So yeah, but it wasn't all bad.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I learned a lot. I met some great people. I
- 16:10Speaker 1: met a young lady man named Kara. Like I told her,
- 16:14Speaker 1: she's like a kindred spirit and doesn't even know it.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Miss Cara, if you could see this tap in, I'm
- 16:20Speaker 1: so glad to have met you. Thank you for introducing
- 16:23Speaker 1: me to so many great people. Mister Matt Hines, I
- 16:25Speaker 1: look forward to working with you soon. A lot of
- 16:28Speaker 1: things going on in Atlanta raising awareness for awareness. I'm
- 16:33Speaker 1: I'm just I'm really excited about this stuff. Like I said,
- 16:37Speaker 1: this is bad to business. There there are some struggles
- 16:39Speaker 1: and some challenges that people have to go through.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I understand that.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Raising awareness for awareness is not always easy, but there
- 16:49Speaker 1: are some great people that are put in place to
- 16:51Speaker 1: really help the cause.
- 16:52Speaker 2: So I'm looking forward to that.
- 16:54Speaker 1: I met Miss Liz from Ohio. Know that you're doing
- 16:59Speaker 1: your great things out there for the cause, so I
- 17:02Speaker 1: can't wait to link up with you when we come
- 17:04Speaker 1: to Ohio. And Miss Sonya Mss Queen Bee from New
- 17:09Speaker 1: York who organized everything and keeps this stuff going. Where
- 17:13Speaker 1: there is about mental awareness, you are there and you
- 17:17Speaker 1: keep stuff going. From what I understand, she's been doing
- 17:20Speaker 1: this now for about forty years. So I'm really excited
- 17:24Speaker 1: to work with you. See what I can do for
- 17:26Speaker 1: you on this side of the town, this region, and
- 17:29Speaker 1: see how we can bring some.
- 17:31Speaker 2: Bad to business.
- 17:32Speaker 1: As I said, so, I thank God for really introducing
- 17:37Speaker 1: me to these people and opening my eyes to certain
- 17:39Speaker 1: things that I didn't know.
- 17:40Speaker 2: It's always some news that I like to use.
- 17:43Speaker 1: And I met these people on my way out, like
- 17:45Speaker 1: it was so hot. We were on our way out.
- 17:48Speaker 1: Care pulled me in and I'm like, eh, I really
- 17:50Speaker 1: don't feel like it. But sometimes there's a toion on
- 17:53Speaker 1: your heart that you got to listen to. So I
- 17:55Speaker 1: did meet some great people and I'm looking forward to
- 17:57Speaker 1: working with all of you.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Next topic of discussion.
- 18:04Speaker 1: So, speaking of some great people, shout out to my
- 18:08Speaker 1: newfound friend, supporter and motivational list Cage Phoenix. I will
- 18:13Speaker 1: he's tapping in with you. I got some information on her.
- 18:17Speaker 1: She's a new name to me. I don't know if
- 18:20Speaker 1: any of you know her. But I really enjoyed meeting
- 18:26Speaker 1: with this young lady, this young woman, she just really
- 18:32Speaker 1: I call her a motivational list. And I looked at
- 18:37Speaker 1: some of her work. I was introduced to her by
- 18:40Speaker 1: somebody else, by a mutual friend. I'll get into that,
- 18:43Speaker 1: that that walk, that journey, that testimony as things progress on,
- 18:47Speaker 1: because that's something that I'd like to share with y'all
- 18:49Speaker 1: about how good God is and how he stays working
- 18:53Speaker 1: behind the scenes and we don't even know.
- 18:55Speaker 2: But I stumbled upon her her work.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Well, I met her through a music for a friend,
- 19:00Speaker 1: and as I looked into her work, I saw that
- 19:05Speaker 1: a lot of her posts and a lot of her
- 19:07Speaker 1: work had been from a while ago.
- 19:12Speaker 2: But it was right on time for me.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You know. As I met with her and had a
- 19:19Speaker 1: different conversation with her, I realized that, or she told
- 19:23Speaker 1: me that a lot of her work that she put out,
- 19:25Speaker 1: she kind of put a halt to it.
- 19:28Speaker 2: She disconnected for good reason.
- 19:30Speaker 1: She had reasons to kind of research and do the
- 19:33Speaker 1: things internally, solely mentally that she had to do. And
- 19:37Speaker 1: it was, you know, even that was refreshing to know that,
- 19:41Speaker 1: no matter how great things are going, sometimes you have
- 19:44Speaker 1: to pull back.
- 19:46Speaker 2: But what we talked about was that she.
- 19:50Speaker 1: Was able to disconnect or put a lot out at
- 19:53Speaker 1: that time and disconnect. But the stuff that she put
- 19:56Speaker 1: out a couple of years ago really hit me hard
- 19:59Speaker 1: right now, and I was telling her that whatever you
- 20:03Speaker 1: were feeling a couple of years ago may have been
- 20:06Speaker 1: meant for someone like me and a.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Breakthrough that I needed right now.
- 20:10Speaker 1: So her getting back into her work now, I said,
- 20:13Speaker 1: please continue your work now because now whatever you're doing
- 20:16Speaker 1: now could be somebody's breakthrough two years from now. So
- 20:19Speaker 1: let that be a little bit of inspiration to some
- 20:21Speaker 1: of y'all too. Don't stop what you're doing now. Whatever
- 20:25Speaker 1: may seem like it's not working out for you right now,
- 20:28Speaker 1: doesn't seem like doors are opening, doesn't seem like whatever
- 20:30Speaker 1: work you're doing right now are working. They may not
- 20:34Speaker 1: be for right now season, but it doesn't mean it
- 20:38Speaker 1: doesn't have purpose, you know, So please keep writing, keep inspiring,
- 20:43Speaker 1: keep motivating, keep doing what you're supposed to do. So
- 20:48Speaker 1: I'm excited to work with her. She's got some things
- 20:51Speaker 1: going on. What was in our meeting turned into like
- 20:55Speaker 1: a four hour revelation conversation. We really realized we walk
- 21:00Speaker 1: some of the same walks, but it was good and
- 21:03Speaker 1: refreshing to hear somebody else from a different pov.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Always good to hear.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Somebody step outside of the box or from outside of
- 21:11Speaker 1: the box and say, yeah, I was once in that box,
- 21:13Speaker 1: and this is what happened, you know, seat wise counsel.
- 21:16Speaker 1: But like I said, from one hour to four hours
- 21:20Speaker 1: turned into a great conversation finding out some things about her.
- 21:23Speaker 1: She got some great things coming up. Let's see what
- 21:28Speaker 1: does she tell me about. So she's got a website
- 21:33Speaker 1: that she I don't want to say too much because
- 21:34Speaker 1: I know that she's branching back out and stuff and
- 21:37Speaker 1: I want her to get a chance to do those things.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But she's launched this website, a collab website. She's written
- 21:43Speaker 1: a book that's already out. She's going to be writing
- 21:47Speaker 1: another book. Amazon sales those things.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Again.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Keep following me, you gotta follow me for this young
- 21:52Speaker 1: lady again. Her name is Cage Phoenix. Some of y'all
- 21:55Speaker 1: may know her already, if not, look her up before
- 21:58Speaker 1: I tell all her stuff. She's also relaunching her magazine
- 22:03Speaker 1: and she's got a lot of things going on with
- 22:05Speaker 1: her magazine. And like I said, I'm just excited to
- 22:09Speaker 1: be able to work with somebody like this. She kind
- 22:13Speaker 1: of gave me, and I want to share something with
- 22:15Speaker 1: y'all before I end on her note some good points
- 22:19Speaker 1: for networking, and I could definitely use that.
- 22:22Speaker 2: I am somebody.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Who is somewhat and.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Let me not put the label on myself.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I need some help doing some networking and she gave
- 22:34Speaker 1: some good points, so maybe some of this can help you, guys.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I'm just going to give you the bullet points. You
- 22:38Speaker 1: can follow up with her and follow up on my
- 22:41Speaker 1: page see what's going on, elaborate on these ideas.
- 22:43Speaker 2: But number one, go outside. Get outside.
- 22:46Speaker 1: There's no way that you can do anything without getting
- 22:49Speaker 1: out of your four walls. I mean, we've created ways
- 22:53Speaker 1: to do that, but really to be able to network
- 22:56Speaker 1: and let somebody feel you outside of just your for
- 23:00Speaker 1: it zone, you know, you got to get out there
- 23:02Speaker 1: and get with some people. So go outside. Second is
- 23:05Speaker 1: set realistic goals. You already know what that means. And
- 23:10Speaker 1: I'm one that if I can see it, I can
- 23:12Speaker 1: achieve it. I know that for a fact. If you're
- 23:15Speaker 1: one of those people, do it, like the motivation says
- 23:17Speaker 1: and the meme says, do it broke, do it scared,
- 23:19Speaker 1: just do it. I still struggle with that, but that's
- 23:23Speaker 1: on my list too. Prepare and practice. Uh, I definitely
- 23:29Speaker 1: need to do that. I'm good at preparing the practice thing.
- 23:33Speaker 2: You know.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Sometimes I feel I can wing it. By the time
- 23:36Speaker 1: the time comes up, it's not really working out. So uh,
- 23:40Speaker 1: you want to get your practice in, especially when you're
- 23:42Speaker 1: trying to target a certain crowd.
- 23:43Speaker 2: Or you know who you're going to be meeting.
- 23:45Speaker 1: One of my models is know who you're dealing with
- 23:46Speaker 1: so you know how to deal with them.
- 23:48Speaker 2: So get that in.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Listen and ask questions. Number four, do your research. That's
- 23:57Speaker 1: really important. Five follow up. I know I'm pretty bad
- 24:04Speaker 1: at following up. I am a starter right, self starter,
- 24:10Speaker 1: big starter, fire starter, but that following up it gets bad.
- 24:18Speaker 1: A lot of people have AI assistants and stuff like
- 24:21Speaker 1: that to do that. Now, I gotta learn how to
- 24:23Speaker 1: make technology work for me. But that follow up is
- 24:26Speaker 1: very important. I'm getting that so as I just seen,
- 24:30Speaker 1: like Jesse says, sometimes you gotta take that leap, you know.
- 24:34Speaker 1: So anyway, back to Cage Phoenix, I'm so excited to
- 24:38Speaker 1: work with you. I can't wait until we link up
- 24:40Speaker 1: do some wonderful things. Like I said, y'all keep following
- 24:43Speaker 1: the page, see what's going on. Moving up alone, Let's
- 24:49Speaker 1: see what else is at the business table. So we
- 24:58Speaker 1: got the like psychiatry thing going on. Yes before I
- 25:04Speaker 1: really bring it home because I yeah, I'm gonna just
- 25:08Speaker 1: go ahead and do it. It is Sunday. I'm so
- 25:14Speaker 1: glad I made it to Sunday. With all the things
- 25:17Speaker 1: going on in the week. Like I said, I went
- 25:18Speaker 1: to the art festival. It was wonderful, wonderful the art festival,
- 25:22Speaker 1: it was wonderful. I went to the exhibit, very knowledgeable,
- 25:30Speaker 1: put myself together. I met some wonderful people. I'm learning
- 25:36Speaker 1: that going outside, getting outside talking to people, doing your
- 25:40Speaker 1: research is wonderful for the spirit as well as, uh,
- 25:45Speaker 1: you know, your networking. If that's the type of person
- 25:48Speaker 1: and the business that you're trying to do. I met
- 25:53Speaker 1: a wonderful person who is at the least motivation. Like
- 26:01Speaker 1: I said, I thanked her for sparking something in me
- 26:06Speaker 1: that my family and friends have been trying to push
- 26:08Speaker 1: out of me. They know the situation I've been in,
- 26:11Speaker 1: kind of feeling my feelings, but this type of person
- 26:13Speaker 1: it's kind of like, like I told them, it's a
- 26:15Speaker 1: professional point of view.
- 26:17Speaker 2: It's a professional.
- 26:18Speaker 1: Push where they have been kind of understanding what I've
- 26:20Speaker 1: been going through family and friends. This person is kind
- 26:24Speaker 1: of like pushing from a different kind of perspective.
- 26:26Speaker 2: So that kind of worked out.
- 26:30Speaker 1: And then, y'all, so when I tell you there was
- 26:39Speaker 1: a time to be had last night, I got to
- 26:43Speaker 1: experience Frank Ski's old school party. Right when I tell y'all,
- 26:57Speaker 1: little girl Blue blew her horn last night. Okay, there
- 27:05Speaker 1: was a time to be had. There was a time
- 27:07Speaker 1: to be had, and I had it. Thank you to
- 27:11Speaker 1: Frank Skip for throwing something that us older folks can have.
- 27:19Speaker 1: It was an all white event.
- 27:21Speaker 2: We all.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Well, I'm gonna say I had a little pet peeve
- 27:26Speaker 1: because not everybody was dressing all white. Made me feel
- 27:29Speaker 1: some type of way. There's some people that were very colorful,
- 27:32Speaker 1: very out of dress code. But as me and my
- 27:35Speaker 1: beautiful friend, an accomplice and partner, was saying that, you
- 27:40Speaker 1: know what, it doesn't matter how people are out of
- 27:43Speaker 1: dress code. We felt good, we looked good, We had
- 27:46Speaker 1: a wonderful time. And at first I was a little
- 27:49Speaker 1: skeptical going to all white events make me a little
- 27:52Speaker 1: bit nervous. You know, you don't want nobody to step
- 27:54Speaker 1: on your all white air forces. In my case, I
- 27:57Speaker 1: had on all white chucks. I didn't want to do that.
- 28:00Speaker 1: But the significance is this. In this was that I
- 28:06Speaker 1: had to kind of tell myself, so, do you not
- 28:08Speaker 1: want to wear your shoes because you're afraid of somebody
- 28:10Speaker 1: stepping on them? Because I know, you know, we get
- 28:12Speaker 1: an attitude stuff like that. You gotta change your mind, right,
- 28:16Speaker 1: I don't want to. I said to myself, I don't
- 28:18Speaker 1: want to not wear my shoes because I don't ever
- 28:20Speaker 1: want anybody to step on them.
- 28:21Speaker 2: That's stupid.
- 28:22Speaker 1: But then I was like, well, I don't really want
- 28:24Speaker 1: to go to an event where it doesn't matter. Took
- 28:26Speaker 1: myself through all that of why I didn't want to
- 28:28Speaker 1: wear these white shoes. But when I tell you, I
- 28:31Speaker 1: went to a grown up party and where people respected
- 28:38Speaker 1: people's face and we had a good time. You know,
- 28:43Speaker 1: if anything, we stayed away from each other's white shoes.
- 28:47Speaker 1: We tried to stay away from each other when we
- 28:49Speaker 1: had a drink. You know, we had a great time,
- 28:52Speaker 1: great music. Thank you again. Shout out to Frank Ski,
- 28:57Speaker 1: the whole team. This was a great event. It was
- 29:02Speaker 1: great to go to a party where it had grown
- 29:05Speaker 1: ups acting like grown ups. We did not fear being
- 29:08Speaker 1: shot at. We didn't fear anything that put us in
- 29:13Speaker 1: any kind of danger. I know we didn't. We had
- 29:16Speaker 1: a great time. We said excuse me, We were polite
- 29:19Speaker 1: to each other, we were grown and it was a
- 29:25Speaker 1: fun time. So I just want to again say shout
- 29:28Speaker 1: out to Frank Ski. It was a time, a time
- 29:32Speaker 1: was had, and I cannot wait for other things like that.
- 29:35Speaker 1: I'm just trying to give inspiration that there are parties
- 29:38Speaker 1: for us older grown folks that actually like to go out,
- 29:42Speaker 1: not get into any type of controversy.
- 29:44Speaker 2: We're not trying to make it big on social media
- 29:47Speaker 2: for the wrong reasons.
- 29:47Speaker 1: Okay, but we had a great time, so that was fun.
- 29:54Speaker 2: I'll be posting.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Some some clips on my page so y'all can see
- 29:59Speaker 1: what type of time y'all know. If you were not there,
- 30:01Speaker 1: shout out to everybody who was there, all white events,
- 30:04Speaker 1: old school party, Frank Ski again, thank you so much.
- 30:08Speaker 1: And I will be, like I said, posting some videos
- 30:11Speaker 1: about the time y'all missed, because it was great.
- 30:16Speaker 2: I have to edit it because I mean, it's one
- 30:19Speaker 2: of them. You should have been there.
- 30:20Speaker 1: So I'll give y'all little piece and snips snippets of it.
- 30:24Speaker 1: But a great time was had that blue, that blue
- 30:28Speaker 1: personality will never be the same. And last, but not least,
- 30:34Speaker 1: I want to leave y'all with a closing message.
- 30:38Speaker 2: I had what I call a sit in thought.
- 30:42Speaker 1: It's not really, uh a day dream, if you will,
- 30:45Speaker 1: It's kind of like when you sit and you think
- 30:47Speaker 1: about things, and you're trying to sit and think out things,
- 30:49Speaker 1: so you're not really drifting drifting off off. You're you're
- 30:52Speaker 1: really kind of contemplating on how to make the next step.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Maybe you are meditating, maybe maybe you're just talking God.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Maybe you're just kind of planning out the next steps mentally.
- 31:03Speaker 1: I call those sitting thoughts not really daydreams. So I
- 31:08Speaker 1: was having a sit in thought where I was talking
- 31:13Speaker 1: with talking to God, and I was praying and I
- 31:19Speaker 1: was walking with him. I was walking with God on water.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I did not see him, but I could see his feet.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It's kind of at night. We were on a body
- 31:29Speaker 1: of water, his feet was illuminated, and I was walking
- 31:33Speaker 1: with him with my left hand holding him with my
- 31:35Speaker 1: left hand, and we were walking and I was just
- 31:39Speaker 1: amazed at how I was taking this walk with God
- 31:42Speaker 1: on water. And all of a sudden I started seeing
- 31:46Speaker 1: sharks swimming around and didn't really bother me. I think
- 31:52Speaker 1: at first I was kind of thinking, you know, why
- 31:55Speaker 1: are there sharks around while I'm walking with God? But
- 31:59Speaker 1: they were circling swimming. All of a sudden, they started
- 32:01Speaker 1: doing the little dolphin tricks, you know, swimming back and forth.
- 32:05Speaker 1: I was just kind of walking, like, you know, holding
- 32:07Speaker 1: God's hand, like what are they doing here?
- 32:09Speaker 2: I'm walking with God.
- 32:11Speaker 1: So we're walking and like I said, I could see
- 32:14Speaker 1: them swimming and jumping in front of us. I could
- 32:16Speaker 1: hear them behind us jumping, and all of a sudden,
- 32:19Speaker 1: one of the sharks jumped up and it nicked me
- 32:22Speaker 1: on the back of my right calf.
- 32:25Speaker 2: And I looked down and.
- 32:26Speaker 1: I saw the nick and the first thought that came
- 32:30Speaker 1: to mind was what are you doing? Like, how were
- 32:33Speaker 1: you able to do that? I'm still holding onto God's hand,
- 32:37Speaker 1: and the first thought that came to mind was how
- 32:38Speaker 1: was the shark able to nick me while I'm walking
- 32:40Speaker 1: with God.
- 32:43Speaker 2: I was a little.
- 32:45Speaker 1: Perturbed, to say the least so as I was walking.
- 32:52Speaker 1: We're still walking, and I'm still kind of thinking, how
- 32:56Speaker 1: did this happen? How did this shark? How was this
- 32:58Speaker 1: shark able to even touch me while walk God? And
- 33:01Speaker 1: then the scripture hit me that God said that even
- 33:07Speaker 1: though weapons may form, they will not prosper. And I
- 33:11Speaker 1: was discussing this with my cousin and the irony, and
- 33:13Speaker 1: she pointed out a piece of the irony in this revelation.
- 33:18Speaker 1: She said, you didn't say it hurt. You didn't say
- 33:23Speaker 1: it led. You just say you recognize that it nicked you.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And as I was talking to her about it, I
- 33:29Speaker 1: realized that, no, it didn't hurt. It didn't bleed. I
- 33:34Speaker 1: did see the mark, but it did not hurt. It
- 33:37Speaker 1: did not bleed, It did not stop my walk. I
- 33:42Speaker 1: was just more surprised that I was even able to
- 33:45Speaker 1: be touched while walking with God. And again the word
- 33:50Speaker 1: came back to me, weapons may form, but they won't prosper.
- 33:55Speaker 1: It didn't stop anything. And I'm continuing to learn in
- 33:59Speaker 1: life that weapons may form, but as long as they
- 34:01Speaker 1: don't prosper, you keep going. You don't let that stop you.
- 34:05Speaker 1: You don't let that hinder you. One thing that my
- 34:08Speaker 1: brother taught in a session of Bible study was you
- 34:12Speaker 1: don't let your feelings get in the way of your purpose.
- 34:14Speaker 1: I didn't feel anything, and talking with my friend, we
- 34:18Speaker 1: talked a little bit deeper about that and.
- 34:21Speaker 2: Discovered that there was no feeling. There was no fear.
- 34:26Speaker 1: I just stayed focused, and as long as I stayed
- 34:28Speaker 1: focused on my walk with God, I did not fear
- 34:32Speaker 1: the sharks.
- 34:33Speaker 2: I did not feel what they attempted.
- 34:35Speaker 1: And even if he could nick me at that point,
- 34:38Speaker 1: then at some point he could have taken me out,
- 34:40Speaker 1: I assume, but no, he could not. The weapons may form,
- 34:45Speaker 1: but they're not gonna prosper. So I wanted to kind
- 34:49Speaker 1: of leave y'all with that. I hope y'all have a
- 34:51Speaker 1: great week. But before I go, I want to remind
- 34:55Speaker 1: y'all something. We have some voting going on. I want
